Hands down, the best meal of our 10 day trip. This was a recommendation from our Airbnb host. We didn't have reservations, but 2 seats at bar opened up and we nabbed them! We had a great time chatting with the bartenders and the folks sitting near us. The service was great but the Food was incredible! I had their corned beef and cabbage. I would go back if ever in Cork again! You won't be disappointed.

Beautifully designed restaurant with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are friendly, attentive, and make you feel genuinely taken care of. The food is excellent – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. There are great vegan options too, which are creative and satisfying, not just an afterthought. Overall, a fantastic dining experience and definitely one of the best spots in Cork!

I wanted to try a proper **bacon and cabbage** outside of Dublin, and Market Lane absolutely delivered — it was fantastic. The bacon was beautifully tender, served over creamy mashed potatoes, accompanied by cabbage and a smooth carrot purée. The flavours were comforting but elegant. My wife ordered **fish and chips**, and the fish was very fresh, light, and perfectly fried. It came with hand-cut chips, mushy peas, and a tasty tartar sauce — classic, but really well done. The atmosphere was lovely and lively. Despite it being **Jazz Festival weekend** and the city being packed, we were seated fairly quickly even without a reservation, which was a pleasant surprise. The **bartender was super polite**, adding to the great service overall. Highly recommended for delicious Irish food, great energy, and efficient service.

Service was very good. Servers were friendly and attentive. I thought the food would be a little better, but it wasn’t bad. Compared to the other places we’ve eaten while visiting Ireland this was towards the bottom. Prime location in the center of Cork. Nice place to stop by if you’re walking around the area.

Market Lane was by our hotel and the menu looked good, so we decided to check it out one night for dinner. It was a Tuesday, just after 7 and it was packed inside. Luckily, there was an outside table for the three of us, and they were able to accommodate a stroller. For drinks, I was looking forward to a Guinness, but they didn't have. So instead, I had the Angel stout, which was very smooth. It was a bit darker and a little more bitter than Guinness, but still good. For food, we had: -Chicken liver pâté, spiced plum chutney with sourdough toast - not sure if I really loved this one but the sourdough toast was good Glenbeigh mussels steamed in white wine, cream, celery and herbs with crusty baguette - I don't normally like anything with celery but I didn't taste it here, so it was fine. I liked the mussels. This kind was small, which I prefer to the giant ones found in the U.S. -Pan roast Ballycotton monkfish, garlic ratte potatoes, roast pepper purée, lemon salted green beans, smoked pancetta and almond crumb - the fish was cooked perfectly and tasted fresh, but the green beans could have used a bit more cooking time -Sirloin Steak (10oz) - my husband got this one since he wanted to try the beef in Ireland, and it didn't disappoint. Their steaks are served with mushrooms, house chips, shallots and choice of: peppercorn and brandy cream, whipped garlic butter or roasted pepper chimichurri. He picked the peppercorn and brandy, which was nice I really liked that they had a kids' menu and that there were no chicken tenders or pizza to be found on there. Instead, there were dishes like shepherd's pie, pasta Bolognese, and roasted chicken breast. They even had a baby bowl, which we ended up ordering for my 8-month old. It was a huge bowl of mashed potatoes, finely shredded chicken, with tiny bits of soft carrots. She loved it! It also came with a side of gravy, but we used that for ourselves. It tasted similar to the peppercorn and brandy cream that came with the steak. I really appreciated this menu item because I never really see baby food on restaurant menus, and this allowed her to be a part of our dining experience.

Had a lovely spiced Moroccan lamb rump here, the Monkfish was also divine. The service is amazing, all servers were very professional. Second to none, will certainly make a habit of returning here when in Cork. The chefs are also trained to perfection and you can see them cooking from the table. 👌

We went on a team night out and the place and atmosphere of this place is class. It might look very small at the outside but very big on the inside.Their servers was very approachable and accommodating as well. Food was ok for me. I would say my expectations were a little bit not met. For a 30-40 euro steak, I would have expected that the steak is at least seasoned which was not. The sharing platter as well was a little bit small for me. I expected at least a couple of meats and more cheese on a meat and cheese board but as you can see on the picture that’s their sharing board and you can see on the menu how much that is. My teammates enjoyed their veggie board and they were delighted with the taste. Their desert was great as well. Overall still a good experience. Just get your wallets ready as food can be pricey.

Poor experience overall. Very loud, dark venue. Service fine but nothing special. Food very disappointing. Fish cake starter tastes frozen, bavette tiny portion, poor quality meat. Chips taste like they’re from a chipper and supposed to come with broccoli and came with ONE piece of tender stem broccoli. No steak knife given. Cauliflower main is absolutely tiny, should be a side/small plate. Desserts mediocre. Not worth a visit in my opinion.

We stumbled on this restaurant after not being able to get into a different one. It was a great find! The food was incredible, the staff was amazing, and they were extremely kid-friendly! They provided us with a great experience on a busy evening, getting us in quickly even though we did not have a reservation.

Expected more, however it was a good experience. The bartender, who happens to be our waitress as well, was polite and helpful. We had the crab arancini (not excited about those), the pork belly (good!), The stuffed mushrooms (good!), The duck salad (highly recommend!!!). Extensive cocktails and wines on the menu. Place was a bit empty but the atmosphere, the setting was very welcoming! I would recommend it!

I have been here twice now and the restaurant is one of the best in Cork. The food is fresh and well prepared. The staff are attentive. It is always busy so make sure to book a table.

Service was outstanding! All around excellent meal! The lamb was amazing and perfectly cooked. The aubergine is one of the best dishes I have had. The desserts were amazing as well. Incredibly creative! Look forward to returning 🌞

Dining at The Glass Curtain was truly an unforgettable experience during our Ireland trip. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel both welcome and cared for, with warm hospitality and flawless service. Each course was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor—creative yet comforting, with the kind of attention to detail that makes every bite memorable. The atmosphere was intimate and elegant without being pretentious, which allowed us to fully relax and savor the evening. It was clear why The Glass Curtain has earned its Michelin star- it exceeded every expectation. This meal was a highlight of our trip, and we will absolutely return when we are back in Ireland.

Overall poor experience. Service is appalling for a fine dining. The ambiance is null, looks like you are in a commercial unit with a bar in the middle. The food was ok, but the menu tasting lacks direction in terms of flavours and continuity. Desserts were mediocre. It seems a want to be fine dining bistro that misses class and refinement.

If you‘re into fine dining, that isn’t pretentious the Glass Curtain is a must! The food and drinks you get here are the best in town and sometimes even better than michelin starred restaurants in the world! Want to treat yourself and your loved ones - this is the place to be. Service is immaculate, very helpful & knowledgable. Love the ambiente, view of the kitchen and the bar tender. Also - great music playing (:

What a wonderful first night in Cork! Evelien really looked after us; what great craic, great knowledge and she helped us tailor the menu to our dietary needs. I was a bit freaked out to discover the wine pairing would be mostly natural wines which aren’t usually my fave - but she knows her stuff and has a lot of great choice. I really enjoyed all the wines in the end, even loved that she found a way to charm me into the natural wine movement lol. And the meal was sensational. So many beautiful ingredients, the freshest of seafood and produce. Everything cooked so skilfully and delicately, and some flavour and texture combos that will stay with me (in particular the smoked tomatoes with the lobster 🤤). We did the tasting menu and got the lobster extra - so glad we got to try it. Everything came out looking amazing, and the staff were really good at telling us all about each dish. Sometimes that kinda service level can feel a bit pretentious but here it just comes across that they love why they do. And the chef came to say hi for dessert which was a lovely touch. Seems a genuinely nice bloke. I have literally no constructive criticism for these guys - bunch of total legends. Love what you do.

It was a good experience. This is a great brunch in town. Our dishes, the open chicken sandwich, the Irish Benedict, and the chocolate and cranberry French toast were delicious. I highly recommend this place if you want to be sure of a really good option for lunch or brunch in Cork. The value for money was suitable.

One of the better meals we ate in Ireland. Staff were friendly and helpful, they easily accommodated our kid with a high chair and kids menu with crayons, and the food was delicious.

I was hungry and wanted a basic breakfast. Liberty Grill was busy but they had a nice table available by the window. I ordered scrambled eggs with sourdough bread and tea. The eggs were good, the sourdough bread was nice with some butter and the tea was amazing. The service was great and quick. The tea was brought to me right away. The food took a little while to arrive but drinking the tea by itself was nice. The music being played was soul and R&B not to soft and not too loud just right to enjoy my food. I will definitely come back for more food here.

Based on TripAdvisor's recommendation, my wife and I visited Liberty Grill for a special occasion, and it exceeded our expectations. The dishes were outstanding, the service was warm and attentive, and the whole evening felt memorable. Easily one of the best dining experiences in Cork!

The food here is absolutely amazing. The fish was cooked perfectly and the sauce was superb too. Although I enjoyed every single dish, I particularly loved the cod fish! Service was also excellent, the staff were friendly and also put in the effort to explain almost every dish on the menu. Appreciate it! I would highly recommend this place if you are in Cork!

Absolutely outstanding 👏 One of the best meals of my life. This had been on my list to book for ages. Very warm welcome on arrival. Always great to see an open kitchen and watch chefs work in front of you. The food was stellar. Every dish perfect. I felt the prices were very good. The restaurant is priced similar to most bistros or restaurants in the city but is offering a quality that is on par with any high end restaurant in the country. Don't pass up the opportunity to book here. You will not be disappointed

Located on Plunkett Street which is one of the many lively bar streets but on the good side (the other side of Plunkett is filled with vagrants and beggars) I canceled my other dinner once I was able to book a table here. Enter into a young woman chef who made her bones at Elbow Lane, her modern take a fish (seafood) forward restaurant that's ever changing based on the contents of the freshest catch. Not fussy but luxe. I requested bar seating so had front row view of the efficiency and attention to detail the kitchen staff took to everything from expedite to managing the front of house staff. Word to the wise their small plates showcase the immense talent of Aishling and her chef de cuisines: For my order : Taiwan fish nuggets; beautiful rendition on my childhood favorite Taiwanese popcorn chicken, which uses white pepper for nostalgia feel that always sparks joy. Goldie's take has more Indian spices which was lovely and the fish was fried to perfection, not greasy whatsoever. How Chef Anna didn't get the famous basil pop in the oil, I'll never figure out....perhaps that's why she gets paid the big bucks! Incredible technique. Cod schnitzel; gherkin and celeriac combo is one of my favorites with a twist by adding more Dijon mustard reminded me of my last trip to Lyon. Soy sauce cured egg yolk will add the additional saltiness the dish craves on anything fried. Pibil cod head & cheek sope; the sope was one of the best executions I've seen since Pujol's (MXC) version. How this dish doesn't become soggy and gross speaks to their talent. Main: pan roasted to perfection monkfish with beetroot achar, apple katkut - look my pictures. un fing real. Monkfish is seldomly seen in the states and when I do make it it's usually chopped up in congee with tons of ginger and scallions. Love this French? take of this ugly ass fish lol Fish tends to be a lighter option for dinner, so with any luck you’ll have room for dessert; i was completely stuffed by made the right decision in ordering caramelized white chocolate with the Achill Island sea salt and milk sorbet and the bucket wheat cracker. Unbelievable touch that was light air and not cloying. Whilst sitting at dinner I found out Chef Aishling was recently awarded Ireland's Best Chef 2024 and Goldie is listed as the #2 restaurant in Ireland's Top 100 restaurants. The Bib Gourmand rating is what brought us here, and they were absolutely correct. Chef Rob - expedition was exceptional. His command of the job came second nature to him, being able to manage several chefs and front of staff. Giving meaningful instruction without being overly dominant yet letting his young staff express their creativity is what talented Chefs do. Really appreciate him coming by to check up on me after the service. Chef Anna - plating was gorgeous and really appreciated her time expanding on each dish to me in person, such a lovely hospitality touch. This is totally an aside, but she was the most beautiful woman I've ever seen on my trip to Ireland. she's an absolute beauty. Front of staff was excellent - I showed up 30 mins early to my reservation but suggested I grab a drink over at Brennan's. Really enjoyed it!

Really thoughtful food, delicious and carefully prepared with style. We enjoyed the snacks and shared mains as well as the two desserts. It was all delicious, perfectly cooked fish, interesting influences and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend, and definitely worth booking.

Outstanding! Innovative and inviting, the menu makes the most of local produce and puts seafood front and centre. Coupled with exceptional service (an appretation for Allen!) this is a must for the Cork dining scene.

Four of us ( 2 x male 2 x female) dined here recently in Goldies and found that it more than lived up to it high reputation for great food, wine and atmosphere. On arrival, we received a warm welcome and were immediately show to our table. Drinks were served very quickly while we read the menus. Our friendly Server was very knowledgeable regarding the food on the menu and the wine and she was well able to answer all our questions. Now, it was far from Seaweed & herb potato crisps, Cuinneog ranch, that any of us were reared on, but I suggest that you should try out this snack – it is very tasty! We then shared the Rossmore Rock oysters, shiso vinegar granita with fennel oil. One of our party never had an oyster prior to this, but with some gentle prodding, he was persuaded to have one which he enjoyed. Our main courses were all fish and each plate was excellent. We shared one serving of Sea salt shoestring chips and Crushed Colcannon of baby potatoes & green cabbage which was enough for the four of us. Being full at this stage, we ordered one serving – with four spoons - of the Caramelised white chocolate, Kinsale sea salt milk sorbet and buckwheat, which was delicious! Would we all return there again for a meal? A unanimous YES!

Amazing food, 10/10! Everything was well-prepared, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The place is small but very cozy — everything is new, clean, and well-organized. Service was also great, with friendly and attentive staff. Waiting time was totally fine, nothing excessive. Highly recommend! Definitely worth a visit.

Amazing dining experience with a touch of Middle Eastern cuisine. The staff are very friendly and the space is welcoming. Highly recommend trying their house stone baked bread that resembles flat bread. Warm out of the oven, it melts in your mouth. The hummus was also amazing and one of the best we've ever had with real good olive oil on top. The chicken was the best we've ever had, tender, refreshing with the touch of lemon sauce and perfectly matching the crispy layered potato cake and the roasted pumpkin. Overall, an amazing combination. Regarding desserts, if you don't have a sweet tooth, I wouldn't recommend the white chocolate dessert. Instead, I would go for the Middle Eastern milk pudding, very mild, comforting to digest with rhubarb and hibiscus compote that gives it an acid but perfectly balanced touch. Perfectly light to digest the meal. All ingredients are locally sourced. We'll definitely go back whenever we're next in Cork.

Three of us popped in on a Tuesday evening. Our first experience. I have to say 5 stars is a perfect score for this wonderful eatery. As a vegetarian and meet eating group all needs were catered for. And may I say as the veggie of the group well done Orso. Delicious food. We sat at the bar as all the tables were occupied. Our lovely bar keep served flavoursome cocktails with aplomb. We will definitely make a return visit next time we are in Cork.

Cafe above The English Market. It was fairly busy when we arrived but staff were friendly and found us a table quickly. Some people arrived after us and requested a seat with a view over the market from balcony, which was accommodated. Ordered the Market cooked breakfast. Food was served promptly and was good quality.

Husband and I stopped by for a stroll through the English Market and decided to walk upstairs for a quick breakfast at the Farmgate Cafe. We both had the French Toast and it was delightful. We were promptly waited on and the food was out fast as well.

Excellent Oat Milk Flat whites (both single and double shot variants) and homemade scone was super tasty. Staff really friendly and the buzz and vibe of the terrace above the English Market makes it a definite visit for food or coffee

The Farmgate Café downstairs sells a glorious chewy dense chocolatey smooth brownie that you absolutely cannot miss! Affordable and fenomenal, almost like a giant chocolate truffle that melts in your mouth- to die for.

lentil pie was decent, was seated immediately at lunchtime which was nice. Great setting in the gallery above the market, perfect for people watching while you eat. They brought me water without having to ask for it which was great. Attentive and affable staff, and very reasonably priced!

A staple of a cafe overlooking the English Market – perfect spot for people-watching and soaking up the buzz of the city. The spinach peperonata was divine, super fresh ingredients and great coffee as well. Service is always friendly and quick. A gem!

One of my total favourite restaurants/ take-aways in cork. Every dish is always so delicious with such unique flavours. It’s small so you never know if you’ll be able to sit, but I’m always happy to get takeaway instead - so delicious. The aged dashi tofu is my favourite!

Really good rice on the onigiri- the size is gigantic!! The gyudon needs work, the flavors are there and the portions are nice but needs to add that raw egg for a silky texture.

GET THIS AS TAKE AWAY AND GO EAT IT INTO O'SHO. The food is absolutely amazing, best I've had. The interior consists of a few bar chairs, so I reccomend bringing it across the street to O'sho, grabing a beer and you will be much happier.

Easily the best Japanese I've had in Ireland. Fantastic katsu don. Proper ratios of authentic, delicate flavors using tasty ingredients that taste the part as much as they look it (unlike so many other shops with notions). Grab your food and go around the corner to eat at the free Elizabeth Fort's picnic tables, instead. I suppose if I'd ding anything it would be the very un-Japanese demeanor of kitchen staff, but what can you do, this isn't Japan lol. Also, wish there was a more environmentally friendly option for this kind of takeaway.

The grilled fish has a tender texture that creates a delightful melting effect when eaten, providing a rich and flavorful experience.. Authentic Japanese cuisine is a must-try. Tonkatsu is fine but nothing special. Portion is huge.

This is one of the best jap restaurant in Europe!!! It’s very small so you have the option to take-away and have your meal at the pub just crossing the street where the owner is very friendly too! Mandatory to taste it !!

Good food, good location, great service, what more could you want? This café/restaurant is located in the courtyard of a former monastery, accessible via some rather steep stairs. But climbing them is worth it, because Good Day Deli is a true gem. The small and modern hut offers indoor and outdoor seating, and as it was a sunny day, sitting outside in the sun was the best possible option. The brunch menu is rather small, but I'd say you'll definitely find something here. I opted for the pancakes that come with a hibiscus poached pear and coconut mascarpone. Not a big coconut fan but in combination and moderation it was good, and the pancakes were great. Wasn't too impressed with the price of their coffee, though. I was recommended to try this place by locals and it was the very first thing I did after arriving in Cork. Go and try their brunch, it's really an experience!

Nano Nagle Place was a really pleasant surprise. It’s this calm little spot right in the middle of Cork, with a beautiful garden, peaceful atmosphere, and a great mix of history and modern design. The restaurant there is cozy and stylish with big windows, lots of natural light, and a laid-back vibe. It’s quit a pricy place, but really nice one. Great for a quiet break, especially if you're already visiting the museum or just want a chill place to eat in Cork without the usual noise. Definitely worth dropping by if you’re in the area.

Good Day Deli is a modern and stylish restaurant tucked away in a beautiful hidden garden, which gives the place a truly special and relaxing atmosphere. It’s open for breakfast, brunch and lunch — making it a perfect spot at any time of the day. I visited for breakfast and was impressed by the excellent vegan options available. The dishes were beautifully presented, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The service was friendly and attentive, and even the desserts were delicious. A charming location with great food and a welcoming vibe — definitely a place not to miss when in Cork.

If you are willing to spend a bit more than the usual price for a breakfast, you can have a truly delicious experience here. Like chef-level type of experience. Not to mention that the place is spacious and luminous, the views are fantastic, the service is top-notch, and you can have a lovely walk through the gardens (and the nun's cemetery too). And learn some history.

Elegant cafe in the grounds of Nano Nagle Place. I had a delicious Buddha Bowl, the weather was sunny, the gardens lush and green, the service excellent! I’m an Aussie, so I do wonder if the “Kiwi Lamington”, though!!

We had a beautiful lunch to celebrate my daughters graduation. Everyone in our party of 10 really enjoyed the beautiful fresh, organic food. Great vegetarian and vegan choices. Service was excellent. A gorgeous restaurant, set in the grounds of the Nano Nagle centre. Great atmosphere aswell. Will definitely be back again. Well done everyone involved.

"A place that inspires, feeds and transforms lives." The food displays high-level techniques and has incredible flavours. Wonderful surroundings with a beautiful garden and flowers. Sun Tzu once said "The water that flows under the rocks is purer than the water from the clouds." I don't know what he meant by that, but this place is gorgeous and makes the best breakfasts and brunches in Cork City.

Enjoyed our experience here. Loads of food trucks in a large warehouse with loads of good food to choose from. There's a bike hire place here, an events room, crafts room and a shop that sells various sustainable living products as well as deliciously locally made products.

This is a very interesting place to visit if you are you young and like inedible highly priced food in a freezing cold warehouse. It was fascinating to check out the variety of foods on offer but the amounts were small and inedible. Leave this place to the youngsters its too noisy and cold for us oldies who like real food . Look by all means but find a nice warm restaurant to eat in .

Marina Market in Cork is such a fascinating place — full of life, great vibes, and an incredible variety of street food from all over the world. There are plenty of vegan options too! I tried the vegan fish and chips from Eco and it was absolutely delicious. Dogs are welcome, which makes the atmosphere even more relaxed and enjoyable. Definitely a must-visit spot in Cork!

We drove over to Marina Market on a Tuesday at around 10 AM. Google Maps says that it opens at 8 AM but when we got there, most of the shops were closed. There were only a handful of stalls that were open, and they were mainly coffee places, a few stands selling arts & crafts, and maybe 2 or 3 food spots. The rest of the stalls were still preparing to open, so it seems like this is more of a lunchtime, evening spot. There is a parking lot but it was a bit difficult to find. You kind of have to circle around and when you see a huge open warehouse, you’ve found the entrance. It looks like a pretty cool hangout. As I mentioned, it’s a warehouse but they have a bunch of couches to lounge around on, and also have tables where you can eat your food. Even though most of the spots were still closed, we were able to see the menus and none of the food places really appealed to us as tourists, since all the food is something we can get back at home. But they do have a pretty good variety, so it seems like there is something for everyone.

This place is amazing. I actually loved it. So many food places. Everyone was respectful. Good atmosphere. Fab!!

One of the, if not the best food market in Ireland. Amazing choices, interesting and varied seating, there's something for everyone. The only "downside" is there's TOO many stalls to choose from that you'll end up spending more time deciding what to order!

So happy to have discovered this gem. Loads of good food, plenty of variety. Some nice stalls selling jewellery, handmade items etc… and it is pet friendly! Amazing! I will make a habit of coming here when I’m Cork.

Only after the day was done I met a local that said to do Quay or Marina Market instead. Oh well! It was nice! I bought a ton of olives and some cheese, delicious! The sushi was decent & the kombucha fantastic! Very helpful staff at On The Pigs Back.

This place blew me away . The layout was intriguing fascinating and a pure delight for Any foodie like me . It reminded me in many ways of the markets in far off countries I have explored only much cleaner. With its side passages to explore with new delights to smell and treat you taste buds to . I loved the way the stall holders were happy to let you sample foods .and the jostling crowds were much more civilized than abroad . This place is a touch of heaven but beware you could spend a great deal here as i absolutely did 😉 NOT TO BE MISSED

The English Market was a highlight of my trip to Cork. If you like authentic experiences, don’t miss visiting this place. There are plenty of options for food, not to mention fresh meat, chicken, fish, and homemade goodies.

Good place to visit if you want local and organic produce. Even had a merchant selling lots of vegan brands and a baker offering vegan pastries. We came here late (around 5.15pm and already most stalls were closed or closing down although it was said to be open till 6. If you have the time come visit but I'd not consider it a must-see attraction in Cork.

Went here at the start of March and I'm still drooling at the thought of the food we had. AMAZING. The salmon was divine, the goose was tender and juicy....had paté and pulled pork for starters and literally wolfed it. Cocktails were 9 euro and they do an especially nice Martini👌 Service was very efficient and faultless really. Also GREAT value for money €

We had a great dinner here! The experience, quality of the food, and the quantity are all high marks for this establishment. The 14 hour beef is excellent and the steaks are very tender and flavorful. Definitely don't miss this one!

Absolutely the best meal I've eaten in Ireland. The atmosphere is nice and cozy, perfect for a date night. The Drink selection was great. Very impressed with the service. Highly recommend you will not be disappointed.

Great restaurant in a cozy, living room like atmosphere. The owner sat and chatted with us for a few minutes as well and she was just lovely! Food was top notch and tasted great. Prices were very reasonable as well! I had a swordfish, my wife had the braised lamb shank, and my mother in law had the monk fish. All were delicious!

This place is amazing, very affordable for a large portion and the quality of the food is great as well, our meal was delicious. Also, the atmosphere is very nice between the decor and the music. Definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area or who wants a nice meal without breaking the bank

This was an interesting dining experience. Inside seating is quite minimal, and sort of feels like you are in someone’s home. I was not a huge fan of sitting very close to other tables, to the point of being able to hear other conversations. The vegetarian food options were pretty tasty though and they serve a fair Murphy’s and bottle of wine. The menu is a little strange and not sure I liked the fixed price aspect. Not sure how flexible they are with it, but basically had to order a main and either a app or dessert to go with it at a fixed price. I prefer more flexibility when choosing, but that’s just me.

On entering the Strasberg Goose Restaurant the atmosphere was nice and welcoming, staff very attentive and food smelt delicious. I ordered a starter which was Pate, very bland and my husbands garlic mushrooms with a garlic mayonaise was again very bland. We both ordered Irish sirloin steaks, one medium which was over cooked and very chewy, the other medium rare, again over cooked and chewy. The chips were lovely as was the pepper sauce, we were both very disapointed at this point but decided we would give desert ago, they did not disappoint. My husbands hot chocolate cake and ice cream was delicious (his words) I opted for fruit pavlova again this was delicious. One pointer I would give if eating here, do not sit where you can see the chef cooking unless you want a view of his backside, which was quite off putting. Maybe he should wear a belt!!

Enjoyed a date night out here. A little higher end than most spots in Cork. Nice menu and plenty to choose from in terms of cocktails. They had Murphy’s on draft. The food menu had a combo option including appetizer and dessert, but we both just went with one dinner item. Both of us enjoyed our meal. Recommended for date.

We had a very pleasant experience at Jacobs on the Mall. The place is perfect, very spacious and comfortable. We ordered the early Bird and it was such a great surprise – everything was absolutely delicious. Our waitress was really kind and attentive, which made the visit even better. Everything was great and we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended!❤️

Beautiful building, the interior is extraordinary. The food was lovely, it didn't take too long to arrive either. I did feel a bit pestered by the staff that kept asking if I would like a drink yet, other than that the staff were lovely and very friendly. Bathrooms could use feminine hygiene products. Lovely experience.

My fav restaurant in cork. Their food is incredibly good, visually appealing and it shows that they have a great kitchen team. The room staff is also incredibly nice, always smiling and attentive to the room and tables. The restaurant itself is a little bubble of peace and why not, art. The price is fair and they could potentially charge more, with this said, not a single dish they offer is bland. Their portion sizes are good and I have never left the restaurant feeling I had room for something else, sometimes even opting out of their desserts. Great wine selection, cocktails and spirits. I'm personally find if their gin mocktail. Jacob in the Mall is a must in Cork and you will regret not dining here.

We had our wedding reception for 120 people in Jacob’s on the Mall, and from our first meeting with Katie to walking out the door when the wedding day was finished, we experienced nothing but stellar service. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, the food was incredible and we had a truly unforgettable day. We wouldn’t change a thing. The staff were exceptional and all our guests have been raving about how great a day it was. Seamless from beginning to end. We can’t thank you enough!

Food is delicious! I got the soup of the day, which happened to be a lovely carrot and turnip with cream. It had great consistency and the cream perfectly contrasted with the textured topping. The pan fried hake is always my go to, and it has never disappointed. Today, it was served with a tangy chickpea salad which paired beautifully with the milder and less overpowering flesh of the hake. Topped with a spinach and lime sauce, this was phenomenal. For dessert, I recommend the affogato. The expresso with vanilla ice cream is a great way to freshen up, especially after a heavy meal. Only lost points are for not offering tap water unless specifically requested. You will be charged an extra five euro for water otherwise, which seems a bit deceptive. Nevertheless, staff are always very accommodating and friendly. The starter bread itself is also one of my favourites on its own and is baked on site. Would definitely recommend! Edit: raised my rating to 5 stars as Jacobs really does stand out from everywhere else I've dined at in the last weeks!

Healthy organic vegetarian/vegan food in Cork Hidden gem! Food **** Absolutely delicious. We got the special which was a Malaysian vegetable curry with spicy apple chutney. We also ordered the Nut loaf which was an absolute must - one of the best dishes we’ve had in a while - comes with roasted potatoes and roasted root vegetables. SO GOOD! Atmosphere **** Very cute restaurant located on the second floor of a health food store but has an upscale feel. Parking can be tricky but we got a spot on the street near the restaurant and then you can purchase a parking pass for 2 euro at the food shop on the first floor. Service **** Great service and relaxed. Also bathrooms available. Price $$ Dishes were around 15 euro each.

Their market with all organic options is simply awesome! Really good €1.00 options for those short in cash (like me :)). Their restaurant offers tasty options as well, although a little pricey. The environment is cozy. Attendants are very attentive. I want to go again.

It’s a hidden gem in Cork with vegan food. There are some options you can build your lunch with just a main course or with pastries and some salads. Vegan curry vas so delicious, the leafy greens salads comes as a complement. We were very surprised. I love how they served the food. Also the fireplace made our lunch so cosy. My recommendation for vegan and gluten free community.

Affordable vegetarian food in nice café surroundings (5/5 green stars) The Quay Co-op store has a small deli counter that at first we thought was the restaurant, but they directed us to go two doors down and upstairs to the main restaurant. Whether you’re vegetarian, vegan, or just want to have some cheap healthy food, I’d say it’s well worth a visit. It’s a very cheerful space with some great art on the walls, friendly staff, and a good selection of main courses and desserts (and a few wines too). It’s quite like Cornucopia in Dublin in terms of ordering process, atmosphere, and food selection. I had a lentil patty with tomato sauce and two sides for €7 and my brother had a tofu green curry (€11) which also came with two sides. Mine was tasty, although I wasn’t crazy about the tomato sauce, while the green curry was a better choice – it tasted fairly authentic. For dessert I took a trip down memory lane with an apple sponge, which came with a little dish of soy custard – it tasted like 1982 (in a good way!). I’m giving them 5/5 “green stars” for social and environmental impact. It’s a workers’ cooperative that focuses on using healthy vegetarian and vegan ingredients. I believe that many ingredients are organic (they are a member of the Organic Trust) although it would be nice if they provided more information on their ingredient sourcing on their menu and website. They cook their food on-site daily and also have an in-house bakery. The Quay Co-op has long supported the LGBT community in Cork, from the Pride parades to the resource center (The Other Place) to the book launch of Queer Republic of Cork last month. They have a space that’s also used for community events like music and yoga. Saturday for lunch. Great outdoor seating, cute inside. The Birds and the Bees cocktail was fantastic, even the bees loved it [literally]! The Duck was phenomenal, hubs even tried the appetizer which surprised me! The steak was well cooked also. Decently priced $126.26 on my credit card which should include tip but seems cheaper than I remember...

Had dinner at Cornstore Cork and went for the three-course set menu. I got the salad for the starter, the cauliflower steak for the main, and the flourless chocolate cake with pistachio ice cream for dessert. Overall, everything was fine nothing exceptionally good, but nothing to complain about either. The food was decent, the service was friendly, and the evening was pleasant. That said, it didn’t quite leave a lasting impression, so I’d say probably not one I’d rush back to. Ratings: 🍴 Food: 3.5/5 🛎 Service & Ambience: 4/5 💸 Value for Money: 3.5/5

We had a great meal here, it was busy because of the Jazz festival, but that did not take from the food and the service both of which were excellent. Happy to recommend The Cornstore for food, service and atmosphere.

We went here for our anniversary dinner, it was delicious we had a great experience. The cocktails were next level exquisite, i was driving and they accommodated my no alcohol request perfectly. All the cocktails are made to request as I was able to order any of the cocktails as mocktails. I ordered the pornstar martini and they even served me a shot of lemonade! My partner enjoyed normal cocktails and reported they were amazing. For dinner I ordered the sundries tomato cannelloni which wasn’t my favourite but still nice. My partner ordered the salmon which was cooked perfectly. We ordered a side of mashed potatoes which were creamy and delicious. Desert was equally delicious and the staff surprised us with a candle for our anniversary. Overall it was well worth the price.

One of our favourite places to eat, scrumptious food and lovely staff. My husband had the ribeye steak with a side of beef dripping chips and I had the risotto and a side of Café de Paris wedges, absolutely delicious.

Gorgeous steak - we shared the Tomahawk special (1kg). Dauphinaise potatos were a stand out - very cheesy! The blue cheese accompanying sauce was really lovely but the bone marrow butter was a little disappointing - tasted weirdly like shop bought garlic sauce?! Tuna ceviche was missing a bit of the lime / citrus flavour I expected but was still enjoyable. Baked Alaska and creme brulee were very tasty puddings. Wine list was decent. Old fashioned cocktail was perfect! Service was excellent and very attentive.

Came here for the brunch menu and wasn’t disappointed. The French toast with bacon and maple syrup was absolutely delicious 🤤 one of the nicest I’ve had in the city, the bacon was cooked perfectly and cut into easily. The decor of the place was really nice too, with really friendly servers and overall clean. Will definitely be back!!

Delicious brunch! We had an issue with one of our meals, but the waitress and the manager dealt with it very professionally. I could highly recommend the brunch/breakfast menu – so much to choose from!

I went here for brunch with my partner while visiting Cork for a couple of days in July. The food was great but we had to wait for a good while to be noticed by the servers who seemed to be mostly teenagers. Maybe we were unlucky. I would come back and hope that the service level improves.

Incredible value for money. The service is friendly and detailed. The vibe and atmosphere is really nice, striking a balance of chill but also high quality. And the food! OMG! So delicious. Gf has duck legs & I had the pork pancetta for mains as well sharing the seafood plate for starters sharing. We were STUFFED! Excellent quality, full of flavor and goodness. Have their slow roasted Porchetta (pork belly)! I am Italian and Porchetta is not easy to get right but the Spitjack has put together a fantastic dish. Cork is spoiled for choice when it comes to food!

Lovely setting. Had a reservation for 6.45pm for 6 people. We were aware we only had the table for 2 hours, they make that clear. The restaurant was busy. Walked in sat down and drinks were served quickly. Ordered starters and mains, starters were fine but nothing amazing. The staff were all friendly. Our mains took a long time to come out, approx. 30 mins after the table was cleared of starters. When they did arrive the food was luke warm so it wasn’t great. Ordered desserts and shortly after we were told they needed the table so we had to move to another table. Everything suddenly felt extremely rushed and the friendliness disappeared. The slow kitchen and/or staff communication should not have disrupted our enjoyment and led to barely warm food. Not worth what we were charged. Disappointing experience and we won’t be returning.

I noticed this seafood restaurant was pretty popular, so I stopped by for lunch. I ordered a half seafood chowder and a half sandwich, but the portions were much smaller than I expected. The menu said the sandwich could be shrimp or smoked salmon, but the shrimp was sold out, so no choice there. Luckily, the smoked salmon was really good—definitely a nice surprise! The seafood chowder, even as a half portion, was tiny and way too salty. I usually love seafood chowder, but this one was a bit overpowering. The service wasn’t great either. I asked for a recommendation, and the server seemed impatient and cold. Even when other customers sat nearby, the same cold, short attitude continued. Really a shame.

Everything was great but just quite pricey. We ordered calamari and seafood chowder for appetizer, I'd say small serving for the price but very good quality. For the mains I ordered fresh rigatoni pasta and it was delightful. A bit heavy because of the sauce but very flavorful.

We tried to come here on a Saturday night during Jazz Festival, but that was impossible. So we made reservations for Sunday night at 7:30. We arrived right on time. We waited a few minutes while they cleaned our table for us. They were PACKED! There were a lot of items on the menu that I wanted to try. The scallops, the mussels, the crab legs, the lobster. I settled on the baked crab legs. My husband ordered the main mussels for his meal. He ordered a Spanish red wine. He loved the wine! It was excellent. The mussels are a very large portion, he gave the portion an “A”. But the mussels themselves were a “B-“. Not the best he’s had. The sauce was unfortunately a “C”. Usually when you order mussels the sauce is the best part of the dish, but this was not the case. First, there was very little sauce. Second, it had a weird flavor to it. I tried it and I did not like it at all. So, he was pretty disappointed with his meal overall. The crabs were excellent! Five stars for the crabs, the sauce, and the bread! They came out very hot, so I peeled all of the meat out of the claws while it cooled down. I dipped the bread in the sauce. It was delicious! I ordered a Sauvignon blanc with my meal. It was ok. Not my favorite. Our server was nice. They were super busy so there were a few issues- like nothing to clean our hands with after handling the buttery shells and claws. I also thought that I should have had a small tine fork to get the meat out of the crab claws. But, again, the service was good. Altogether our bill was about €76. We would return. I’d like to try the scallops or lobster and my husband wishes he had ordered the seafood linguine instead.

I made a reservation here at Quinlan's on 17th September 2025 based on Google reviews. I was not disappointed. The place looked and smelled amazing. I was seated by the kitchen so I could see the chefs busy at work. The head chef was very friendly and said if I needed any advice just ask. The waitress was also very friendly and with hers and the head chefs advice I went with the Dingle Bay wild squid for the starter which was amazing and such a good portion, possibly the best portion of deep fried squid I've had before. For the main I went with one of the specials, monkfish wrapped in pancetta with scallops. Oh my god that meal was amazing and well worth the €38 for that course. By the end I had hardly any room left so I just had a single scoop of ice cream. Overall the staff and food were amazing. Thanks again to the head chef for being so friendly and informative.

If the opinion an Americans is worth anything, this is the best you will find between here and Dublin. I’ve eaten seafood in Boston, New Orleans, San Diego, and Seattle, so I feel like I have some experience to go by. If want first rate food, service and atmosphere at a reasonable price, Quinlans has it all. We had the haddock fish and chips and the Seafood Stew and Smoked Salmon Open Sandwich. FRESH, FRESH, FRESH. If we ever make it back to Cork, we will be returning!

Very friendly and efficient staff, the ambiance was really great and the restaurant looked stunning from inside. However I was quite disapointed by the meal, especially considered how much it costs. I had deep fried squid as a starter. Even though it might be locally catched, 15€ for that little amount of cooking technic feels a bit much. I then had the squizzling kind prawns, they were over-salted and cooked in a bland garlic-red-paprika broth. The french red wine "Les Chaises" was also quite disappointing, the kind of Merlot you could have for 5€ a bottle in french supermarkets but in this case it was 8€ a glass. Overall, very overpriced and overrated (to me). But other ratings are great so I guess I got unlucky.

Absolutely fantastic food and wine. The oysters were exceptional, the chowder is to die for and the NZ Sauvignon was also surprisingly delicious. Loads of choice (we were there for lunch time) on the menu. Struggled to choice as it all sounded great. Can’t recommend enough.

Delicious food, large portions beautifully served. Truly Italian atmosphere of the restaurant. Beautiful Italian music but too loud combined with the noise of many guests makes it impossible to have a quiet conversation and destroys the pleasant atmosphere of this beautiful place a bit too loud. Me and my boyfriend went to Rossini’s for my birthday. We had no big expectations when arriving but proceeded to be blown away by this amazing restaurant. Alex and his team cultivated a phenomenal dining experience in this amazing and frankly underrated establishment. From the service, to the delicious food, to the warmth of the servers personality, this place is a cork gem. From the minute we walked in they proceeded to create an unforgettable atmosphere around us, from their singing and dancing we laughed and rejoiced as a group. Although it was just myself and my boyfriend at the table, it was the whole staff who curated an astounding experience for us. Thank you to Alex and his team, we will be returning due to your hard work and amazing dancing.

There’s a genuine reason this place is always packed. Salvetori looked after us brilliantly, and the manager on the night (from Croatia) couldn’t have been friendlier — the service was faultless. The food was bloody delicious, every dish full of flavour and perfectly cooked. If you’re looking for a proper Italian, this is the one — thank me later. A fantastic spot, well done lads!

We had a really nice dinner here with pasta and some wine. The pasta, Tris Rossini, was good and full of flavor. We had to wait a little while for the food, but it was worth it. The atmosphere was pleasant, and we were celebrating a friend’s birthday, which made the evening special. The only thing to note is that part of the floor seemed a bit uneven, and one of my friends almost tripped , it might be worth checking for safety. Otherwise, everything was great and we enjoyed our time here!

I had an amazing dinner here last night! The pasta tasted fresh and homemade, and the sauce had that perfect balance of flavor without being too heavy. I ordered the seafood pasta, and the shrimp and clams were cooked perfectly. My partner had the wood-fired pizza, which came out hot with a crispy crust and just the right amount of char. The staff was warm and attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere felt cozy but lively. We also shared a tiramisu for dessert — honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. Definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for authentic Italian food and a welcoming vibe. Can’t wait to come back!”

My favourite place in Cork. I’ve been going to Rossini’s for years - celebrated loads of birthdays and special occasions here. I’ve tried loads of different dishes but always end up back to the spaghetti carbonara, it’s my fav. Their cocktails are amazing too, especially the Cosmos! The owner and staff are always so lovely and genuinely would go out of their way for you. Over the years I’ve brought loads of friends who had never been before - and now they love Rossini’s as much as I do 😅 No complaints keep doing what you are doing!!

Got carbonara, pizza, chips, garlic dough balls & fettuccine salmon. Absolutely great staff, great atmosphere, great food. Not one complaint from any one at our table. Definitely worth a visit.

We came here for afternoon tea to celebrate my sisters 30th birthday, we discovered that the waiter George had the same birthday! He was so good, explained our afternoon tea, had us guess what ingredients were in the mocktail, and just gave us a great experience! He brought over a plate with happy birthday for my sister and the afternoon tea was one of the best we’ve had, lots of local flavours and worth the price. We had a very relaxing birthday evening meal in this beautiful restaurant. The food was delicious and presented with flair. The steaks were full of flavour and the corn bread starter was unusual and perfect to share. George was both professional and friendly. The service throughout was attentive and knowledgeable,but not intrusive. It was a memorable experience. We were very pleased we booked our table when we booked the hotel as it was busy, in a jolly, pleasant way. Cocktails in the bar pre dinner were lovely and very different.

Beautiful decor, highly trained staff, excellent food, good prices all considered, what more do you need for a special occasion? Gluten free options readily available. Swordfish is fantastic, creme brulee with vanilla and rhubarb (photo) is to die for.

Emma made us feel at home and assured us that we would not have to leave our graduation dinner early ( the terrace was due to fill up with a group ) and she ensured that we got the full benefit of our evening . Was in the river club tonight to celebrate my mother’s 70th birthday. Our waiter Jorge was absolutely amazing from start to finish. We bought our own cake to serve after the meal. Nothing was too much trouble and we were not being rushed at all. Five star food and a five star server.

A peaceful and powerful place. Nano Nagle Place is a hidden gem in Cork — beautiful gardens, a thoughtful museum, and an inspiring story of a woman who changed lives through education and compassion. Quiet, moving, and truly worth a visit.

Very interesting museum about Nano’s history but also about Cork’s and Irish history in general. Has a lovely restaurant as well and hosts many events and collaborations with many non-profit organizations

Wonderful exhibit and grounds telling the story of Nano Nagle, a nun who secretly taught the poor of Cork in defiance of the penal laws, her family's wishes, and social norms for women. Her powerful legacy of social justice extends into the present, and the exhibit is housed in the former convent that was home to her work. Absolutely gorgeous campus, gardens, and cemetery, and notably every part of the grounds and museum are accessible to wheelchair users via lifts. Accessibility is also extended via sensory kits and lightweight stools for anyone who might want a place to sit, among other accessibility tools. Children were also clearly considered with activities for them throughout the exhibits. All the staff were warm, knowledgeable, and welcoming. The gardens are free to walk through and are an immensely peaceful oasis with many opportunities to sit and appreciate the natural and architectural beauty of the surroundings. The museum tickets were affordable and well worth it. I highly recommend stopping in at the Good Day Deli and eating outside. The food is phenomenal, mostly vegetarian, mostly local, and the view of the garden is a beautiful setting for a meal. The staff at the cafe were wonderful.

Cannot believe it has taken me so long to visit this fantastic oasis of calm in my native city. Immaculately preserved and presented buildings, cemetery and gardens. Museum, bookshop, café and restaurant on site. Entrance is free of charge. Well worth a visit as it is only a short walk from St. Finbarre's cathedral. Parking extremely limited....so leave the car at home.

A beautiful hub of knowledge complete with a museum and gift store with quaint and cute little handcrafted and artisan things. Has a beautiful garden tea shop/cafe. Even if you don’t go to the museum, this is still worth a visit because of the natural gardens and the crocheted flower garden. A work of art!

Food: Food was pretty decent. We had steamed prawn dumplings and they are absolutely authentic. I would have liked the size of the dumplings to be larger, but taste wise, they nailed it. We also ordered chicken in schezwan sauce and egg fried rice, it was absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend this dish, it’ll give a nice taste to your palette. The hot and sour chicken soup was okay. Service: Whilst the food was great, we found however the service to be a bit slow. Ambience: Ambience is really good and gives out cozy yet authentic vibes. Overall, it was a pretty decent experience.

I tried the Cantonese roast duck in mala sauce, recommended by the staff and it was delicious. The duck was fresh and cooked to order, unlike some other places where it tastes pre-cooked. You can really taste the quality and freshness here.

I know authentic Chinese dimsum and this is the best I've had in Europe, and I lived a bit everywhere. All of it seemed freshly made and was as good as one can possibly hope. Salt and pepper squid was the best I ever had, including in China!

Visited on Sunday evening. The food was really good. The service was really good. I was a bit taken a back though when I was leaving,after already paying at the counter when i was exiting the waitress said " have ye paid? " . Found that to be a little bit Insensitive having already paid the bill 👀 As a manager in a customer service facing role I certainly would not be nor be recommending my staff to deem that to be an appropriate way to approach a customer . Did I need to have the receipt in full view of the waitress when I was leaving only because she didn't see me pay ? Please look into this for yourselves going forward. As I said food was lovely though outside of that and the other staff were great thoroughout our time there. Would of been 5 star only for the end of the experience

Delicious tofu with veg, and you can chose from likev6 or 7 different sauces. Place looks a bit like hidden, its quite, with relaxing music and has a calming atmospere. Its not modern fancy-shmacy place. I havent seen any hipsters 🙏

Authentic Chinese food in Cork! I’m from Singapore and had the best sweet & sour pork ever right here. The seafood hot pot was delicious too. And the steam rice was so soft and fragrant. The lovely lady boss made the whole experience warm and memorable. Highly recommended!!

I had a full Irish breakfast earlier. Such great value for 12 euro, it is absolutely huge. The food is fresh, tasty and so filling. The owners seem like lovely people too. There is a very nice vibe in this cafe. I am already looking forward to my next visit.

Our first breakfast in Ireland had to be a full Irish breakfast, of course. I found Cafe Spresso, which was a short walk from our hotel, and it had pretty good reviews. It was a Monday at around 11 AM, and there was probably only one other table dining. The menu looked like it was a mix of Irish and Hungarian cuisine. We ordered the large Full Irish Breakfast (2 bacon, 2 sausages, 2 eggs, black and white pudding, mushrooms, beans, tomato, toast, tea or coffee) and one of the Hungarian specials, a meat croquette, which comes with a cup of beetroot soup. The Irish Breakfast was good - oily, like you’d expect. It did the trick. It’s enough to share between two people, just because it’s so greasy. I would skip the croquette. It was definitely left over from the night (or maybe more) before. It was soggy and salty. I did enjoy the beetroot soup, but I didn’t want to mix too much of it with the coffee I was already drinking. Cafe Spresso is a good option for a full Irish brekkie, which is only €12! But I would just stick to that.

We went for breakfast! Great spot. There was just one gentleman working so it wouldn't be the best for a quick meal, but it was very tasty. If we stayed longer we would've loved to check out some other menu options!

It was perfect from the start to the end! I was welcomed and sat very quickly and asked if it was my first time to explain the items in their menu (which is very simple)but i think it is very thoughtful of them to do.I had shoestring fries and a burger without onion and tomatoes on my special request.Fries were the best i had in cork or maybe in whole ireland in a burger place.Perfectly crisp and tasty that you can even eat without any sauce or vinegar-just fries-and you are more than good.Burger was a smash burger which you can see on the photo 100% beef.It was more than delicious and definitely would like to come and eat again(not my thing at all but their sweet potato fries got me intrigued) Again!!!Their staff is the nicest!

Very tasty burger and one of the best fries (chips) 🍟 are found here🍔. Their own Bunsen pale ale 🍺 is also a spectacle, it has a very good taste and for me it had a hint of elderflower somehow. I never had anything like it before (a must try). The burgers are decent, the fries definitely steal the show, they are so generous with fries as well. These fries are so tasty, if you are not up for a burger, you should at least try the fries.🍟

Have visited this establishment many times and it's good to see it's still a staple in Cork. Good place to bring indecisive eaters if you're inclined 😅 Usually seated right away depending on time of visit. Good for a quick bite. Personal pet peeve: - Acknowledgement of 'tips' during payment: find it odd for a fast food to bring it to your attention about 'Tipping'. It's almost as if it's expected for someone doing their job, that they're already being paid for? Imagine applying that to every other profession. Really put me off from visiting the establishment and especially, if you've been to Bunsen since they've opened and their burgers used to be priced from €7; find this practice to be really strange.

Delicious burger, simple but it has all you need. Choose the sweet potatoes as a side. Portions are big, price is ok. They served us fast and the stuff was polite. The place could be a little bit more beautiful but it's ok. I recommend it!

If you're into basic burgers, then this is the place for you. Personally, I was hoping for a bit more quality considering it's supposed to be the third-best burger in Europe. I was a bit disappointed, but the fries were absolutely brilliant. Would I recommend it? Absolutely! However, I'd suggest improving the beef mince quality, please. A bit less fatty would be a plus 😊

When I want a cheeseburger I want the bun fluffy, the patty perfectly formed, and to be fighting for my life wiping the drippings with those paper-thin diner napkins. Bunsen delivers on all fronts. Don’t sleep on the sweet potato fries, but most importantly save room for the best chocolate milkshake that’s ever touched your lips.

Stumbled upon this amazing little shop on my dosa expedition in Ireland, and I have to admit that as far as dosas go, the food here is class! Wait time is long, but once you’ve tasted the food, all of that melts away like the flavours in the food. You can tell it is fresh and authentic as each flavour explodes in your mouth. The dosa and the samosa chaat were amazing and I highly recommend it. Perfect Sunday lunch in Cork. The food is vegan and vegetarian, and really serves up the taste of South India.

Love love love this little gem of a place. A small menu that delivers big on flavours. We ordered almost everything on the menu today and had the most amazing feast for ourselves at home then for the evening. So delicious!!

Decent food, dinner menu is limited though with no dosa. We had to settle mostly for the Chaat items and the dahi samosa Chaat was the best of the three varieties tried. We also tried the veg kutu parotta, and it is quite a zinger - almost too spicy to eat on its own. The fresh lime soda, and mango lassi were average, while the filter coffee was great!

Excellent quiet location tucked away in central Cork near the English Market. The inside was very nice, but we enjoyed the outdoor seating with the dog (very dog friendly and even brought her a bowl of water). We arrived shortly after opening so it was basically empty. Lovely staff and food was absolutely delicious, we got mostly small share plates, but the seafood chowder was 🤤. Just go ahead and get the big bowl of that.

This was my first time in the Oyster since it was renovated and it's absolutely gorgeous. The lounge downstairs is plush but laid back and the upstairs bar and dining area has a New Cork cocktail bar feel. The food was delicious and reasonably priced (18 for a large cheese/meat plate I couldn't come close to finishing) and came out fast. The staff were great and very responsive, and there's also an excellent choice of drinks. You can sit at the bar in plush seats, so a nice option for dates, and the tables can handle larger groups too. There's a lift upstairs so it's accessible, although the loo doors may be tricky for some wheelchairs. We had a great night and I'll be back next time I fancy treating myself a little.

It was good, broken seat, and even though it was a brunch at 2pm there was no dessert menu. We would have stayed and had a lot more to drink if there was some kind of dessert menu for that time, food we got was lovely. Music was too load for restaurant area as it was turned up at least twice while in there. But the best thing were the Staff, they are outstanding.

Amazing Tapas style food . They have some arepas, classic bar food like chicken wings, scampi, fish and chips etc. Portions are big enough if you’re not a big eater. Great service and good selection of drinks! We tried the chicken wings and the vegetarian arepas with beans. Both dishes were fab!

Really good! A nice little hideaway. Great place for a chill coffee or a bit o day smoozing/ boozing. I believe they do a bottom less brunch for just adding €25 to any meal. The staff here are also extra nice and the washrooms were nice and tidy. It's also worth mentioning that I got a capachino here and it was lovely. Very creamy, smooth blend and most importantly, hot 🔥. Not bad for a bar coffee lads, ye did yerselves proud.

Stylish bar, a little hidden. There's two floors, upstairs has more seating like in a traditional restaurant. The interior looks surprisingly nice! I figured that it isn't a cocktail bar, as the cocktails are quite poor. Didn't try the food.

This is another hidden jewel in the city of Cork. They are known as the oldest cafe in cork. This is by far the best breakfast that I had ever experienced. I now have a new standard when it comes to mushroom soup. It’s heavenly. You know that the food they serve is served with love. This is the best place to visit if you are just starting your day. Food is excellent, service is great, place is wonderful. A standing ovation with claps to their crew today. My heart is full and what great way to start the day!

Fellini is an incredible cafe. A historic landmark that once served the Pavilion, this cafe is now inhabited by a friendly staff that help ensure a warm atmosphere, and who go above and beyond to help the customers achieve a perfect evening out with friends or a significant other. Lovely italian restaurant in Cork city(michelin guide). I booked tasting experience(min 2 people required). It was scrumptious! Very different from what i ususally get. I had dietary restrictions- they were very good & accomodating. Seatings are quite close-only drawback. Do reserve as it’s booked out mostly. Me and my boyfriend booked into Da Mirco for his birthday and couldn’t have had a better experience! We rang ahead to ask about vegan options and they said they would be able to make something vegan if we mentioned it in the notes of our online booking 🌱 The service was amazing, checking in just the right amount. They made me a vegan starter of foccaccia with pickled and roast veg on top - delicious! Vegan main they offered a few pasta dishes or risotto, I went for mint pesto pasta with crispy fried courgette on top. They also have vegan lemon sorbet for dessert. 🤩

We were in Italy for 5 weeks this spring and had very very good food. But nothing compared to the taste of the food here! I was Shocked how tasty it was. Even the said we had was over the top. It’s a very small place so get Reservations! There isn’t an a la carte menu here. So understand that. You will not be disappointed with the food. The only thing I missed was the main pasta dish didn’t come with bread to sop up the delicious sauce! But bread did come with the salad and it was something special.

I had the wine and tasting menu it was delicious the pasta is to die for it was so good and after doing the wine tasting I realised I loved orange wine which is something I never tried. I tried new foods like duck liver and polenta and I was worried when I first tried it but it was so good. The pasta sauce oh my god I want a jar of it.

Best TIRAMISU in Ireland! (Didn’t have time to take a picture hahah) As Starter we got the charcuterie board and Halibut salad which was delicious and it is now my favourite salad in cork. Whenever I stop by this coffee shop, I always encounter rude baristas. They look constantly angry, serve people with a cold, stone face, and act as if customers are disturbing them just by ordering. Honestly, it’s completely unprofessional and makes the whole place feel unwelcoming.

Nice cafe, but it’s a shame they close in the middle of the afternoon at weekends. Myself and some other customers were being turned away at closing time. I had to go to one of the (many) other coffee shops in town, which were all still bustling with customers.

I am thrilled to say this lived up to the hype. We thoroughly enjoyed the Taster's Plate, Chicken Mousaken, and Beef lamb. The Palestinian coffee was exceptional. We especially loved the Warbat. So sweet and flaky. You lived up to the hype! I wish you all the best. It was a real pleasure.

Izz Café offers a fantastic introduction to authentic Palestinian cuisine. Their picnic box is a great option for first-timers—it includes a delicious selection of manaeesh, hummus, and drinks, making it easy to sample a variety of flavours. We also tried the Palestinian coffee, which was absolutely delightful. It’s a place we’ll definitely keep coming back to!

I’ve lived in Ireland for 8 months. We dine out frequently. In the time we’ve been here to be VERY blunt, St. Francis Provisions is a top three dining experience! Staff was attentive but not intrusive, we we seated in outdoor dining was on a small city square that was pretty much deserted as it was drizzling (we were seated under an awning, so stayed dry)… The flood was sublime. We had the Braised Chard with Raisins/Pine Nuts and Ajo Blanco, the Grilled radishes with Macroom Ricotta (the Ricotta was stunning), the Caherberg Bavette (skirt steak?) with “Green Sauce” and Smoked Potatoes with Aioli… The starters we more than big enough, was very surprised by the radishes as they were green/sweet and not peppery, at all. The Ajo Blanco with the chard was difficult to place in my culinary lexicon - I need to learn to make it! - The Bavette was perfectly cooked and the “Green Sauce was a Chimi-churri-esque riff with capers and mint… ALL of the above were plated well, tasted great and left us wishing we had more room to try ALL the other menu items… But the thing that got me THE MOST was Chef Rebecca’s take on potatoes. Look, this is Ireland…you can’t turn over a menu in upscale dining here without new and interesting riffs on potatoes. According to Jack, the Maitre’d, these were steamed, then smoked, then fried and served with a very thick and punchy garlic aioli. Simply, they are the finest potatoes I have eaten since moving here…. In conclusion, St. Francis is a top three favorite dinner since we moved here. The place is small and cooks at a level that you might not expect with its simple setting and “quaint tourist town” vibe… If you get the chance, eat there. You’ll kick yourself if you don’t. So, all things Kinsale are easy to find, on the internet…the town is lovely, and reminds me of small New England seaport towns.

Sunday brunch at St Francis was a really unique experience with the farm to table concept in action. Loads of people in the town as there was a summer music festival ongoing so we sat at the bar for a treat. The chef brought her Spanish training to serve tapas style small plates packed with flavor. We had just about everything on the vegan/veg menu and left very satisfied

Wasn't for us. Tryed a selection of food. The focaccia was was generous but plain. Kerry coppa was fine but too much oil roast potatoes came with what i guess a strong hollandaise sauce Biggest disappointment was the steak disk. Very tough and very oily. I don't think we finished any dish. No enquiry when paying.

Phenomenal. Our favourite food experience for a LONG time. Every dish we ordered was excellent, we felt incredibly well looked after by staff, and the seating was cozy but not crowded. We didn't have a single bad thing to say about our experience, and I'll be the first to admit that we're pretty critical 😂 As a rule, I really dislike aubergine, but my wife ordered the aubergine dish and I had to admit that it was delicious. That's how good this team is. We'll be making more trips to Kinsale to get back to Saint Francis Provisions.

The best restaurant in Cork City in my opinion. Consistently top class food and staff. Imaginative menus using top quality locally sourced ingredients. Yes its quite expensive but you get what you pay for, top class food! Lovely place to come for a special occasion or a treat.

One of the finest if not THE finest restaurant in the city! The duck confit in particular is amazing! The team are always very friendly & attentive and the menu changes with some interesting dishes and evening specials. Fine wine & aperitif selection also, the kir royale in particular is lovely! Highly recommended.

I was very disappointed to hear that Cork has lost one of it's finest Restaurants in Star Anise. It has officially closed after serving the people of Cork for nearly twenty years.

Ordered the Korean pulled pork in the Marina market. What came out was a bun with a couple of really fatty strips of what looked like pork belly. The meat was rubbery and unfortunately I just ate the chips and threw the "pulled pork" in the bin, as it was so unappetising, and not worth €13+ In hindsight, I should have ordered from the Asador BBQ restaurant. So disappointed, don't recommend

Inside the marina market-Been here a couple of times since moving from TX and it's always a hit! Pulled pork sandwich and the Cuban are delicious and if you haven't tried the Korean pork belly then you're missing out! Service is always amazing and quick enough for bbq. Definitely will come back and recommended 😋

Myself and my friend just went to white rabbit in the marina market. We both got the wings and chips which were €15. When we went up to collect them, there were FOUR WINGS. I was shocked. Went to eat them and they were the driest wings ever, no bbq sauce on them at all. We then had to ask for more sauce for the wings and the guy working there didn’t seem too pleased and didn’t respond and just handed out the sauce. Would absolutely avoid.

I can honestly I love my bbq food and I heard good things about here but first of all a joke I order pulled pork Korean style bbq there was four strips of American style bacon thrown into a bun I asked where the pulled pork was and the fella looked at me as if I had two head I would never eat here again. Joke of a place. There is a reason there is no ques here more too offer in the market and the price for a few rasher was a joke

No stars. Bad service. Ordered two sandwiches, they said 10 min waiting, turns out to be 45min. And they lost my order. Just remembered because I went asking for it. And they even said it was 2min more. When they didn’t have my full order. Disgraceful. No respect at all. A sorry without even look in the eye of the customer.

One of the best pizza’s in Cork! Friendly service and very helpful staff! Amazing beer garden (most of it covered, so if it rains, don’t worry) And the beer… 🍺 it’s simply delicious (they do tasting paddles €10 for 4 small glasses), 2 onsite brews. Have non-alcoholic beer & cider.

Franciscan Well Brewery – absolute perfection in Cork! What a fantastic spot! The atmosphere was buzzing, the staff were friendly, and everything just hit the mark. The pizza was so good we couldn’t resist going back for seconds — crispy, flavorful, and fresh from the oven. The beers were top-notch too, perfectly brewed and full of character. Fantastic service and very accommodating bar staff. Enjoyed both the freshly brewed ale and the Pompei pizza was delicious. Would certainly come again. Beautiful flower display too!

They don't serve food (there is a pizzeria for that) but they have a big selection of draught handcrafted beers. The staff is super friendly and they let us taste a couple of beers before choosing one. We had to restrain ourselves to not drink too much, but in other circumstances this place is worth a loooong visit to taste everything. The place itself was very nice with a lot of Halloween decorations and it shows how much love the owners put inside every detail of this pub.

This is one of the best places to have pizza and drinks. The pizzas are home baked on a real fire. They manufacture their own beer in addition to plenty of drinks choices. They also non alcoholic drinks available which is ideal for those who wish to enjoy but also drive. I would highly recommend a pizza and drink here.

We did the brewery tour, and our guide was great! The beers were some of the best we had in Ireland, and the story of the business is neat. The taproom has a great vibe, and if we lived nearby, we’d spend a lot of time here.

Great place and atmosphere, food is over hyped, got a new burger on the menu that had a mozzarella slab, chili jam and the normal LT, added a beef patty, turns out they had no chili jam so they laced what I think was mango chutney on it, also got no beef patty, other than that it was an average burger. Also got The squealer loaded fries, they were actually quite nice, very heavy portion of pulled pork which was unreal, nice size gherkins but half the tub was mayo which made all the chips soggy in like 15 mins it took to get all the food and back to the car but very big portions which was handy. My fella got the chips cheese garlic, barely any cheese and loaded with mayo and a double burger thing but ended up giving me one of his patties cause they didnt give me one

Very Disappointed – Philly Steak Pita Quality Is Now Horrible I’ve been ordering from Casey’s for around 10 years and always enjoyed the Philly Steak pita. I used to get it fairly often over the years, and it was always great. I hadn’t ordered anything for about a year, but in the last two months I started visiting Casey’s again. I ordered the Philly Steak pita three times — and each time, the quality of the beef was really bad. Yesterday’s order was the worst. The beef was cheap, full of fatty bits, no taste, tough to chew — just horrible. It’s definitely not the same as it used to be. I don’t know what happened, but the quality has gone way down, and I’m really disappointed. My son did get a pita recently, I think with curry sauce, and he really enjoyed it — so not everything is bad. But the Philly Steak pita definitely needs attention. I hope the quality improves, because it used to be one of the best.

Over rated. Asked for less garlic and still got a heap of garlic on my chips - chips were okay. Nothing special. Pita was awful, bread was good though. Other local chippers a lot better 👍🏼

I hate to love this place. There’s honestly no other takeaway that comes even close to the quality of food this place produces. The curry chips are without a doubt the best in Ireland. The cheeseburger is the best I’ve ever tasted with the most amazing grilled onions. The chicken burgers are out of this world. The milkshakes are unbelievable. I’m happy I live over 40 mins away because if not, I’d be 20 stone heavier 😂

I've waited months to try KC's food and was really excited for it I finally tried it tonight and I was really disappointed i would nearly go as far as saying it was horrible the angry Spaniard Pitta it was really dry tasteless and the chicken was dry and rubbery. The chips Cheese and curry were tasteless I don't know what the hype was about it's definitely not worth it and I will definitely not be returning again.

Visited this place today as have not been for ages and I was very disappointed. Had no fish to serve firstly which I was visible shocked. The chips were atrocious and the chicken was dry , tough and like leather . Horrendous!!! Such a shame as this once amazing... Definitely will not be back

Very famous family run restaurant which was prevented from closing due to the crowd’s demand is a must try outlet. You need loads of patience to get your food, huge queue and there is waiting period almost every time I’ve visited here. Chicken Bombay is fantastic and the KC special chicken burger is a delight.

nice location , pizza and beer are always a good combination. however, do not go here if you are vegan. they make their own vegan cheese so this sounded nice and after seeing reviews I was quite looking forward to it. went with a friend and we got two pizzas, shared half the pulled jackfruit option and half a margherita. The whole texture of the cheese was wrong and was as if it was dolloped onto the pizzas , making globs that would nearly flop off the slices when picking them up. I started just letting them roll off so my stomach wouldn’t turn any further eating the slices..if I had a knife I would’ve spread the cheese balls over the pizza cause the overall taste was nice in the cheese and the sauce. the base was great // cooked well. Please just find a different way to apply that cheese to the vegan pizzas ..I will not be back, but for future customers, please do them a favour.

Really delicious pizza in a lovely atmosphere! Soft dough, flavourful ingredients - can’t fault it! Would highly recommend grabbing one if you come down to the brewery for a pint.

Hidden away in the beer garden of the Franciscan Well pub is a great little pizza spot that deserves to be tried when in Cork! Choose one of the many options (that include veggie and vegan options), have a seat with your pint from the pub and wait until the buzzer rings. Simple and delicious! The crust had a nice chew and a lovely charred flavour which I really enjoyed!

Just had a pizza here. While it looked and sounded good it was the worst pizza I’ve ever had. It was soft (I expected a crunchy base) and not properly cooked through. The cheese was tasteless. Very disappointing all round

Very nice place, full of space and flowers everywhere. There are no table service but the pizzas were very nice! We will sure come back!

Feedback on delivery option. The pizza is poor to average at best, it fills a hunger gap but very careless approach to preparing the pizza. The toppings are carelessly prepared and the cheese is not spread on the pizza. I order regularly out of poor availability of good pizza in cork city but its the same every time. Some quality control would go along way as it was a lot better a few years ago 🫠

Great pizza ordering process is complicated it can take 30 minutes to get your pizza but luckily it's located in the Franciscan well brewery so you can challenge a few pints of wheat beers while your waiting for the wheat pizza

Disappointing. Coffee was good but waited 20 mins for my poached eggs on sourdough, meanwhile at least 5 people who arrived after me were served their food. When the food did eventually arrive (without apologies for the lateness), the poached eggs were hard.

Honestly do not recommend this place. I was hungry and I couldn't even eat the food fully. I went it to the till it took the 2 servers a while as it seemed like neither of them wanted to serve me. I ordered a sandwich and a cup of tea. The tea was fab but that is the most easy thing. Now the sandwich I think it was the flying bacon oh Jesus christ. I asked for ciabatta bread the bread I got i don't know what it was but it was rock hard I don't know if the sandwich was supposed to be hot or cold. As the cheese was melted at the edges and the outside tasted warmish while the middle was cold, the ingredients didn't feel fresh like the tomato in it felt like it had been in the sandwich for a while. It tasted disgusting and left a bad taste in my mouth even a few minutes after. I couldn't eat it. The place looks okay it just needs a few improvements

My top 5 places to eat in Cork during the day. Today was a big disappointment though when I decided to sample the hot dish special’Kerala Chicken curry’.instead of a salad. The dish was soup with chicken and rice. The portion size was smaller than usual. . I wouldn’t recommend this in the otherwise amazing quality and well-priced menu (not as a curry anyway).

Delicious hearty food, lovely staff and good music 😁🎶 plus, fair prices. Brunch + tea was about €12.50. I got the avocado feta toast. Very yummy.

A great stop for early birds and jet-lagged travelers, as they open an hour or two earlier than most places! The staff were very kind, atmosphere comfortable, and the food was flavorful. Highly recommend the toasts if you need to fuel-up for a busy day.

Delicious spot for some breakfast, brunch, and lunch. I've been wanting to go in for a long time, and I am so glad we finally visited. Great breakfast options, steering away from your usual full irish, fresh produce and amazing, well cooked eggs with just the right amount of seasoning and not too wet or too dry. Delicious coffee and the Organic Açaí Smoothie in a bowl is such a nice touch! Prices are also very competitive at just €7 for the portions you receive is amazing!

I had better mexican food before. Unfortunately, the food was not good enough. I think that the ingredients do not suit well together. But the staff was kind and friendly so nice. The atmosphere was nice. The interior is pretty.

If you are looking for an affordable Mexican experience, this is the place to go. They use fresh ingredients and prepare your food when you order it. Best value for money. Excellent customer service as well. You can customize your order and as usual I have provided their menu on the pictures. You can dine in and do take away whatever suits you but I recommend eating there as food is prepared fresh. I always order their burritos, nachos, and quesadillas. I always eat here when I’m craving for nachos. It is definitely worth the visit :)

Have a very bad experience after ordering a chicken burrito from this place through Deliveroo on the 20.8 around noon. Within a few hours, I started feeling extremely bloated and unwell, and soon after I developed severe diarrhea that has continued for two days now. I have been feeling very weak and unable to eat properly two days in a row now. I noticed that another customer mentioned that they and three of their friends also suffered food poisoning here, which makes me strongly believe that this was the source of my illness as well. This has been one of the worst food-related experiences I’ve ever had, and I would advise others to be very cautious. I'm burritos and blues customer for the 10 years.

Slow wait times in the marina market and inconsistent food options with what you can get in town. Extremely disappointed and tried to overcharge my friend who had to ask her to break down the pricing before realising she was overcharging. Myself and two friends ate in the Marina Market stall and all 3 of us ended up with a pretty severe stomach illness . All ate different meals but had the same meat option, and woke up with what felt like the symptoms of food poisoning in the middle of the night. Dissapointed with the owners response as I reached out and assisted in letting them know all details of the visit.

I ordered a chicken burrito and a can of Coke and it cost over €14 even though it said chicken burrito was €10 on the menu. Never coming back, awfully run venue

Fantastic trip and everyone working there was fantastic and very helpful. From Cork and have lived here all my life and never had been here before. I really enjoyed it and it was a nice way to pass some time. Also only €5 to get in!

Amazing machinery and great of engineering. Lovely staff. But the museum and presentation was dated and boring. There is so much scope to make this engaging and it was not.

Interesting history on the water and its source right across the street, Lee River. Shows how technology and innovation has progressed! Doesn’t take much time and very inexpensive.

A great place to visit with kids as it is quite the learning experience. I was unaware of it before today but yes well worth visiting!

Nice little practical exhibition with good info and walking guide and free parking on site + entry for 5 euro. You'd cover it in an hour or less.

Was very quiet when we arrived. The staff were very friendly. The manager gave a great history talk about the place Nd started the kids on the tour. They really enjoyed it. They had a questionnaire to fill out so they had to do the whole experience. They wanted to go back the next day for the Easter egg hunt, which we did. It was packed and they had great fun.

While visiting Cork we came across this fun indoor antique shop. Fun walking through and seeing the variety of items they have collected. A little over priced, but we still bought a few items to take back home.

Funny place with old everything, including religious items, fur coats, clothes, adverts signs of all kids, jewellery, cutlery, kitchen ware, coal bunkers, records, stationery, statuettes, tapes, etc, I can't even list everything here... Might be a good place for antiques lovers or people who like recycling items.

Lots if very interesting stuff here. Store is jammed with suff everywhere as you would expect a thrift store. Good location off a main street of restaurants and bars.

Great vintage and antique market with a unique selection of collectors items, home decor and clothes, we only had half an hour to look round and would recommend giving yourself longer if you’re a proper vintage buyer, great tunes too

I had a wonderful stay at Clayton Hotel Cork City. The location is perfect — everything in Cork is within walking distance, and the hotel has excellent facilities including a pool, sauna, and fitness centre. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with lovely views and everything I needed. Most importantly, the staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. I contacted the hotel in advance with a small request, and they kindly offered me a room even better than the one I booked. This really showed how much they care about their guests. Overall, I highly recommend Clayton Hotel Cork City for its great service, comfort, and fantastic location. I will definitely return on my next visit to Cork.

My son and I stayed here for his birthday , he picked it out as the location suited and it has a pool . I had stayed here in the past and had a nicer experience. The online check in is handy but it found it confusing because there’s no information given about breakfast/ pool use etc . So I think that needs to be looked at . Receptionist was very lovely do and when we collected our bags she wished my son a happy birthday and dropped up a sweet treat which was the highlight of our stay ! The pools fab and clean and staff there are so lovely too . Breakfast was surprisingly delicious ( we were affraid after reading reviews ) but we couldn’t fault it and staff were nice too ! The worst part was the room it was to y and internal , the window looked down to the lobby it felt so claustrophobic and with no fan in the bathroom and aircon it was so stuffy ! The rooms very basic and needs some extra touch’s and a deep clean ! I understand the hotel needs to use all rooms but I believe more transparency is needed for these rooms , the last time we stayed we had a fabulous sea view and it was the deluxe double room we booked then too . Perhaps offer a discounted room rate for these internal rooms so people can decide when their booking as I feel I paid quite a high rate for this shoebox which I’m sad to say has turned me off booking the hotel again ! Also the area has gotten very bad around the hotel I know this is out of your control just feel I should mention it I wouldn’t be comfortable to stay with my kids there again either !

We stayed for one night (2 adults and I child) and while we had a lovely time, it was very basic. There were a few issues. At check-in we approached the receptionist who directed us to self check-in which annoyed me as there were three people on reception and one could easily have checked us in quickly. We had a small child and bags and coats and would have preferred a regular check-in as we still needed her help with this and she needed to give us info on breakfast times and pool facilities etc. anyway so in my opinion it would have been faster if she helped! Self check-in would be handy for a Regular customer or someone who travels frequently. The room was very basic - only one pillow on the beds (usually 2?!), the tap in the bathroom was difficult to use as it seemed to be too far away from the actual basin. It was difficult to access the water without making a mess. The soap dispenser was attached to the mirror and was very high and difficult for kids to reach. I rang reception and asked for extra milk as my daughter used up all the milk sachets for her tea. It did not arrive! We booked dinner with the receptionist in the restaurant and there was no booking and no restaurant open! We ate in the bar. The service in the bar was very poor. Slow delivering our drinks, taking orders, clearing plates and delivering our food. While this sounds like I am being petty, it really was a lot of issues on one visit and it was not cheap to stay there! Overall, disappointing really.

Great location and walkable to City Centre. Bus station close. We had a king room with a view of the river and it was very nice. Highly recommend. Staff at front desk were helpful and attentive at breakfast. The bar staff were inattentive. You had to ask to order and get your bill. They did not check back on you. I would recommend this location.

Great location easy access with car park below with lift straight to reception walking distance to all amenities. Hotel very spacious with all facilities, pool etc good comfortable size room as you would expect. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bar food and breakfast Great we only stayed one night so didn't use restaurant. Went to concert that evening, again just a walk to the venue. Room service from 10.30pm to 6am brilliant if your back late.

Clayton Cork City is in the perfect location to everything you need to have a fabulous stay in Cork. Parking is readily available and so is access and proximity to city buses. The hotel staff are always there to ensure you have a very enjoyable stay. It starts the moment you check in to the housekeeping, servers, bar and door staff. Always a friendly and welcoming smile. I always stay at the Clayton Cork City. The beds are so comfortable, food is super with a fabulous menu and breakfast buffet. I just know you will make the Clayton Cork City your go to when visiting for work, leisure and any of the amazing festivals in Cork.

We’ve been staying at the Clayton Hotel for 12 nights, and Emma has truly gone above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. From the very beginning, she’s been incredibly kind, attentive, and proactive — always one step ahead of what we needed. There were times we were in a rush, and she personally took care of our lunch orders to make sure everything was ready on time. She even went out of her way to bring our laundry upstairs to our room — something she absolutely didn’t have to do, but did anyway out of pure thoughtfulness. It’s rare to come across someone so genuine and dedicated to making guests feel comfortable and cared for. Emma’s warmth and professionalism have really made this stay special. She’s an absolute credit to the hotel, and we can’t thank her enough!

Unfortunately this place has really gone downhill, used to be one of our favourite spots in the city for food. They’ve gone really scaldy with the milkshakes- only fill it 3 quarters of the way now (and they’ve changed the flavor of the vanilla milkshake?!?!) All the portion sizes are way smaller- the chips are tiny too. Between the table of 4 of us, there was a burger, breakfast and tenders and none of us really liked our meals. I got the breakfast and didn’t eat half of it- I got about 6 baked beans!😂😂 a mouse would be pissed if he only got 6 scaldy beans. The rashers were inedible, the eggs were just bad. The toast was barely toasted. Also, the waiter was just so not bothered whatsoever. None of the staff were nice to be honest, could be the bosses fault, who knows. Unfortunately won’t be back which is a pity, as it used to be great

A great alternative to the bigger fast food takeaway restaurants. I would say Shake dog has a lot more variety and choice to choose from. The Hawaiian Burger was delicious and very filling. The staff are very helpful and friendly and hard working. Giving that extra bit of service that you do not get in other fast food takeaways. It is spacious with plenty of seating for all and good for large groups or even if you just want to drop in yourself. Great selection of burger meals and tastefully cooked. The price was reasonably affordable at €12.95. The only reason it did not get 5 stars was because of the small portion of chips a few more extra chips and this would be well up there for value. As for now it is a great place to visit and very affordable for what is served big delicious tasty burgers by attentive staff.would definitely recommend and will call back in again.

We came here to eat because of the meal deal that they have and the combo was super good. Hamburger plus fries and milkshake for 10 euros. Dude was a good meal the hamburger is good the milk shake as well. Definitely it is a good place for hanging out with your friends. And then move to the clubs. Check the business working hours bcuz on google maps is wrong the close until 11 pm.

I decided to visit Shake Dog after hearing good things about it, but I left feeling extremely disappointed with the overall experience. From the beginning, the restaurant did not meet the standard I was expecting. The portion sizes were surprisingly small and not reflective of the price charged. The food itself was poorly prepared, tasted processed, and lacked freshness. Unfortunately, we could not finish our meals due to both the unpleasant taste and presentation. What made matters worse was the attitude of the manager. Rather than being welcoming or professional, they came across as impolite and dismissive. At one point, we were even charged more than what we had ordered, and only after raising the issue was the mistake reluctantly corrected. This left a very negative impression of both the management and the establishment’s approach to customer service. In terms of value, the pricing is excessive for what is essentially frozen, low-quality food. The limited selection of drinks only added to the disappointment. The restaurant’s cleanliness was also far below acceptable standards. I noticed stains on the walls, spills that hadn’t been cleaned, and even ketchup marks on the ceiling. The overall environment felt neglected and unhygienic, which made it uncomfortable to sit and eat. The customer service did nothing to improve the situation. Staff seemed disinterested and unengaged, and there was no effort to make customers feel welcomed or looked after. Given the lack of quality in the food, the poor service, and the unsanitary atmosphere, I cannot recommend Shake Dog. I left not only dissatisfied but also with an upset stomach, which further confirms the poor quality of the food being served. This experience was highly disappointing from start to finish. I will not be returning, and I would strongly advise others to consider alternative dining options that value both their customers and the quality of the food they serve.

Waiter was nice but my chicken burger tasted like my nans knickers and my gf refused to have her shake when I tasted it I didn’t blame her it tasted like soapy water from the sink and milk horrible stuff , we were extremely hungry so we ate it but were left very disappointed. Remember going to these places 10 years ago or so with my family when it was Eddie Rockets and it was very nice but clearly no one in these places care any more. The cheese on my chips tasted like molten play dough on my chips. Overall thoughts: Yocky

Everything good, food awesome, but you need more staff in there

I had fish and chips. There was plenty of potatoes which were good, but the large amount of chips seems to combinsate for the smaller amount of fish. The fish was too greasy. Not worth 13 Euro. This was an appetizer, not a meal.

Soooo delicious!! I loved it. You can choose from a bunch of different menu. And if you don't want to spend so much like you have only 5 euros with you, you can eat the student menu. You have fish and chips and u can add vinegar and salt if u want. It's a medium/large portion in a box, it's enaugh if you're a bit hungry.
