Scenic Railroads
The St. Kitts Scenic Railway, a historic 20th-century train dating back to 1912, offers a leisurely 3-hour tour along the picturesque shore of St. Kitts. This unique experience takes passengers on a 30-mile journey around the island, providing stunning views of the Caribbean coastline, cliffs, and lush greenery.
My partner and I stayed in St. Kitts for a week. The Scenic Railway was by far our favorite thing we’ve done or seen the entire trip! They are very professional and kind. They had everything well planned to ensure we were on time to meet up with all the other buses. We absolutely loved our driver, she was light-hearted and knowledgeable about SKN history. The train itself was a very fun experience. They proved free drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), they had dancers show us their traditional dancing, the speakers worked very well and didn’t skip, so we could hear the host clearly. The views of the ocean and fruit trees were fantastic. I HIGHLY recommend.
Holly T — Google review
We were so excited to enjoy this unique experience. However, about 5 minutes into the ride, the train derailed and we were stuck. After quite a wait, we had to be towed back to the depot. They offered a ride after the rail was repaired but due to obvious concerns, we declined and got a full refund. The staff were amazing but the experience was, preventable or not, a let down as we moved our plans around to accommodate this date for the train and we are only here for a week. We are so disappointed.
Anthony R — Google review
Fabulous experience with Sweet Pea narrating the journey and explaining everything from the history to the plant life and wishing good morning to everyone. You get to see parts of the island that are otherwise inaccessible. Well worth a visit.
Tim H — Google review
Kurt was THE BEST bus tour guide and Sweet Pea (Patricia) was a lovely & fun train cabin host. Special thanks to Ambrosia for efficiently serving us our beverages!!! Unfortunately, there was a derailment that ended our adventure prematurely, but next time we're here in SKN, we'll schedule our tour!
Rasheeda B — Google review
The train is a lot of fun and we enjoyed seeing the island by rail. The train is a narrow gauge line, and the cars do rock a lot. They serve drinks and alcohol in the trip that was included in the fare. I recommend taking this trip and seeing the island by rail.
Chef C — Google review
Took the train ride as part of a Royal Caribbean cruise - excursion. The bus driver that picked us up at the terminal called herself “Peace & Love” and she was wonderful!!! The train ride was a bit shakey from side-side but, it’s an older train and added to the experience! The workers were very attentive and we were never without a drink in hand if we wanted it! The views were great and I swear every single person who saw the train waved…it did not matter their age, they stopped what they were doing and waived to the train! This is well worth doing and I strongly encourage you try it!
Joseph H — Google review
⚔️ Conclusion first: 3 out of 5 stars – a pleasant ride, but not an epic quest. The St. Kitts Scenic Railway feels like a side-quest on rails: an old train circling the island, rolling past sugar cane fields, tiny villages, and wide ocean views. Sitting on the open deck is charming – you almost feel like a lord surveying his lands. But the pace is slow, more like a cart with tired horses than a roaring steed. The onboard narration tells the sugar history, though at times it drags on like a tavern tale that’s a bit too long. Drinks and live singing are offered, but they feel more like bonus side-quests than the main treasure. ✨ For landscape lovers and railway nostalgics: solid fun. 😴 For adventurers craving thrill: more of a filler chapter than a legendary loot drop. 🎲 My roll: 3/5 – nice scenery, but not a must-have artifact.
Der T — Google review
We left on time, and the first half of the tour was by bus. Our driver was related a wealth of historical facts about the island as we drove through different towns. Once we disembarked, we're waiting for the train. Bathrooms were decent/clean. The train took us around the other side of the island as our hostess served us with rum- based cocktails. My husband and I had a good time.

Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park is a remarkable 38-acre site that stands as a testament to the Caribbean's rich history and military architecture. Constructed over a century by enslaved Africans under British rule, this UNESCO World Heritage Site showcases impressive bastions and barracks from the 17th and 18th centuries. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of six nearby islands on clear days, including Nevis and St. Maarten.
This was absolutely incredible. A must visit in St Kitts. Brimstone is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. They do a great job showcasing and explaining the history and artifacts of the fortress, including a QR code so you can have a virtual brochure as you walk around. The views are also unreal. $15 USD per person to enter Check out the gift shop. So much cool and unique stuff! Eat at the restaurant too! Very good.
Anna R — Google review
Beautiful. 30 min walk from the base / bus stop if not driving. Entry is $15US/40EC. Can easily spend 2+ hours here. Clean and working toilets :)
Vin R — Google review
A must see when visiting St Kitts. The fort itself is brilliant, you can see why it's a UNESCO world heritage site. But moreover, the staff are so incredibly friendly, the views are outstanding, Phil in the souvenir shop is friendly and he's got lots of local artisan things for sale. We sat in the restaurant for a good while, admiring the view of the mountains and the sea. You won't regret a visit.
Sue M — Google review
Fortress right on top of Brimstone Hill. Breath taking views, history and you definitely got to explore the Fortress. Beautifully cared for and preserved along with tons of history in the small rooms of the Fortress. I definitely recommend you visit Brimstone Hill Fortress.
Rignaldo M — Google review
One of the most intense forts we have visited and very well preserved and documented. Excellent exhibits within the citadel and beautiful grounds. Be prepared for the long drive up that is very narrow and doesn't allow passing everywhere. Not sure how larger vehicles make it through the gates.
Abbie K — Google review
Great historical place. Plenty to see. Huge climb to get to top. Whish we had more time to see everything. Plan 45min to an hour for your visit.
Kim M — Google review
The historic fortress looms large over Sandy Point, and can seem to dwarf the village it was built to defend when looking out from the hilltop. The grounds are immaculate, and the condition of the excavated fortifications is pristine. I am more tantalized by the promise of tomorrow: what more will they unearth, or how will they open the Hill to pedestrians with a shaded walking path from the Island Main Road, maybe?
Gavin H — Google review
It was a great history lesson at Brimstone Hill. A lot of the Caribbean islands are intertwined in history. I love the island try to preserve the artifacts, culture and history of Brimstone Hill Fortress.

Mountains
Mount Liamuiga is an extinct volcano on the island of Saint Kitts, offering adventurous travelers a challenging hike with rewarding panoramic views. The trek to the summit, which stands at 3,792 feet above sea level, takes you through lush rainforest flora and requires rock climbing skills. Along the way, expert guides can provide valuable insights into indigenous plants and local mountain wisdom.
What an experience this hike was. We found a good guide who cost us £40 a person. If you hire a car there’s no need for a guide as the hike is impossible to lose track of the path. However, seeing the crater might need some explaining as the final tiny rock to climb is not intuitive at all. The hike is strenuous and takes 5 hours up and down. Very slippery so wear proper walking shoes, not just trainers. We got caught in a two hour rainforest downpour. You need a lot of water for the trip up. No shops nearby so bring your own water. No taxis waiting nearby so you need to arrange transport. Sight at the top is brilliant. Some clambering up rocks, so this isn’t a gentle walk but it is not technically challenging either. Legs ached for a couple of days after the hike. It’s not easy but not impossible by any means.
Leaburn — Google review
Booked a tour through Expedia, priced reasonable with JP Taxis & Excursions includes a guide. Leaves the main town at 9am, your back by 15:30. Bring 2 ltr of water, hiking poles advisable. Great views at the top, saw wild dogs and monkeys
Alan A — Google review
It is a hike. 2 to 3 hours one way.
Oconer P — Google review
Kid friendly? Yes, probably, ages 8+ and up that are athletic and listen to instruction. It's a ~1100 ft elevation over three miles on slippery terrain. A "Type 2" fun hike. We did a tour of Mariner of Seas with RC. Paul, "the mountain goat" and team led the 30 person group over 3 hours to up and 2 hours back down. We got rained on 5 times. The lower park area is dense humid. The crater base cools off as you gain elevation. It was a lovely strenuous hike, highly consider you physicality before going on this. We've done six colorado 14ers, rock climb, caving, and it had us huffing mid hike. Bring minimum 1.5L water per person. Hiking snack good idea. Have proper hiking boots that can get wet. There's no bugs or biting critters beyond occasional spider web. 95% of hike you're in shaded canopy as it relates to clothing and sunscreen concerns. Animal wise occasional anole lizard, Patridge, and otherwise sparse on animals. We saw no monkeys. There's an offshoot path at crater saddle to a higher point which is sketchy and a sketchy rope into crater that adds ~60 minutes to trip. At casual pace it took group 4.5 hour to traverse with breaks. It could be done in probably 3 at a tourist pace.
B. R — Google review
We hiked to the top of the mountain with a guide. It definitely requires you to be in good shape. The hike is reasonably steep, and can be challenging. I think it took us about 2 hours to reach the top at a reasonably casual pace. That said, the view at the top was great. It was cloudy when we were there, but we still loved it. You can see all the way into the crater, and to the rim on the other side. I'd imagine on a more clear day the view is significantly better.
Dennis N — Google review
First off. Unless you have endurance, and are relatively in shape, do not try this climb. 3 people that started with us made it only 20 minutes before they gave up. It is one heck of a journey to the summit, which was totally worth it once I got up there! It's also a mountain climb, not a casual walk through the rain forest. Be responsible for your own well being. Use hiking shoes/boots...running shoes will be ruined. Bring an extra snack and some water (from the ship if you're on a cruise). The guides, who do this climb up to 4 times per week, are great people. The two that stayed with our group after the sweeper had to stay back with the 3 people that couldn't continue, were awesome. They were informative, had great senses of humour, and most importantly they were patient with the slower section of our group. I was the go between as I was with 4 others, 2 in the quick group, and 2 in the slower group. I got the nickname mountain goat LMAO because I was jogging in between the groups. You see so much flora and get to listen to the birds in the canopy. If you're lucky you might get to see a Vervet Monkey. We saw one and a few mongoose 😎 We were given a light snack and some small glasses of a frozen pineapple drink just over halfway up. Both were very tasty. Once we reached the top there was plenty of time to absorb the views and snap some videos and pictures. The climb down was a little quicker of course, but just as technical. Once we reached the bottom we had sandwiches and a drink. We had the option of a beer for $2, which I indulged in. The drive back was quick as we got stuck in some rush hour traffic, and we were literally the last people back on the ship LOL

DO NOT TAKE THIS EXCURSION FROM ROYAL CARIBBEAN! I hiked this volcano. I am in good shape. I exercise for an hour or more 3-5 days a week. I lift weights... I am athletic. I hike. I usually go trail hiking in the Appalachian mountains. The volcano trail itself, on the volcano is about 2 miles and then the trail to the trail to the volcano is about a mile. In total the hike is about 8 miles, according to the pedometer on my phone. Royal Caribbean schedules the excursion for 6 hours, which stresses the tour guides, because they have to be on time. The tour guides will rush you on a treacherous and muddy trail that is often 6 inches wide at places, with huge boulders as well. it is not mountain hiking, it is mountain climbing. The degree grade is about 30% if I had to guess. sometimes, it probably pushes 70% especially the last half mile toward the summit. Making that ascent and descent at that speed on that trail is not safe for amateurs and should only be done by serious mountaineers and not by children. Children can become exhausted and can suddenly experience cardiac or respiratory complications and radical decompensation (shock). This is not a safe excursion during rainy season. Subtract 2 hours for travel, one hour each way. You must complete this 8 mile round trip in 4 hours with minimal breaks. The beginning of the trail is humid and is very taxing to start a mountain climb with few breaks, that last about 30 seconds. The humidity in the beginning makes the rest of the ascent that much more challenging. The trail is not as well groomed as I would expect. It was more overgrown than I would have thought. With such a popular trail, I would hope that they errect some more stable and permanent assistive structures (IE a railing) on the trail, instead of slack and knotted rope. The tour company handed us cold cut turkey sandwiches on white bread for lunch with a 2 oz Dixie cup of lemonade. Not worth $129. G-d bless my guide. I would not have made it to the top without her.

Mount Liamuiga is a very beautiful volcano with a Crater lake filled with freshwater and I caught 4 waterfalls coming from Liamuiga it was in a week when we got a considerable amount of rainfall⛈️.Maybe if the waterfalls were year round it could of possibly hold the longest waterfalls in Skn🇰🇳 and the Eastern Caribbean.😁

Historical landmark
Romney Manor, the oldest sugar plantation in the Caribbean, is a historic landmark located on the Wingfield Estate. This modest red house has a rich history dating back to the 1600s when Carib Indians inhabited the area. The estate features an ancient Saman tree and lush plant life, making it a paradise for nature enthusiasts. Visitors can also witness the art of batik-making at the Caribelle Batik facility and explore colorful tie-dye clothing and accessories.
Beautiful! Super interesting to learn how Batik is made. Beautiful gardens.
Chris M — Google review
Romney Manor is a truly beautiful place to visit. The artisans at Caribelle Batik are masters of their craft—their skill, dedication, and the time they invest in each piece make you appreciate the value behind every item. The explanations they offer add depth to the experience, making each purchase feel meaningful. In addition the grounds themselves are stunning and well worth exploring. Lush, peaceful, and rich with history, they offer a serene complement to the artistry inside. It’s a place that invites you to slow down, take in the surroundings, and connect with the culture and creativity of St. Kitts.
Nollan Z — Google review
Beautiful place, immaculately maintained gardens. Also the spot where they produce cloth by the Batik technique.
Reinier K — Google review
This place is beautiful. The grounds are very nice. The batik demonstration is very informative and it is neat to see how they make their products. The staff in the store are all very helpful but not pushy. They have a huge selection of items so everyone can find something they like. The rum punch is a great way to taste the local rum and purchase it if you like it.
Amber R — Google review
Peaceful and tranquil.. Loved it. The cost to enter is 3USD
Rixon B — Google review
Gorgeous historical site which was part of our tour. You’ll learn how they make those beautiful textiles well known as part of St Kitts. You can roam around the gardens on your own and take in all the colors and sounds. Bring water with you!! It can get warm
NJ C — Google review
The ground is cute, but I am unsure if it is worth $3 to enter. There is a narrow back road that connects the Estate to the Manor that is meant for two-way traffic. We arrived before 3 pm, and no one was manning the entrance. We ended up spending most of our time at the batik shop and got some souviers.
Cindy W — Google review
A beautiful botanical gardens, well kept grounds and demonstration of how the colorful prints on clothing is done. This stop should take at least 45 minutes to an hour, especially if you are mobility challenged as you will negotiate a few steps and uneven grounds. Free restrooms that are clean are a nice feature.

Cockleshell Bay, also known as Reggae Beach locally, is a picturesque cove with powdery white sands and clear Caribbean waters. It's a popular spot for families to paddle and swim safely. Visitors can enjoy beachcombing for conch shells and watching brown pelicans dive into the water in search of fish. The bay offers a small but diverse selection of restaurants and cocktail bars, making it a lively destination for locals on weekends and cruise-ship tourists.
One of the most gorgeous beaches. You can hang here and relax or grab a beer and snacks at a local bar. Easy to reach with taxis and you get a nice view of the island driving there. Water is clear and easy to access.

Awesome beach and location for swimming and enjoying your holiday! Sun, sand and plenty of cold beer 🍻... plus you can enjoy a seaside aloe rub (massage) from a local. Being on the Caribbean side, the water is calmer and warmer! This was a nice surprise as we are staying at Frigate Bay in the large resort, which is on the Atlantic Ocean side of the island. The beach bars and restaurants make a day long visit possible and a fun change from staying at the resort!
TomQnel — Google review
Cockleshell was awesome! We had a few of our cruise ship friends tell us to come here. The snorkeling was out of this world!! So many conch shells. We went from one end to the other side of the beach. We stopped and ate at miss debs shack and the chicken and drinks were wonderful. We also decorated her shack with conch shells we found! We will be back here, good fun spot

Beach is very clean. There is a bar/restaurant where you can be served from your lounge chair. There are options to rent jet skis and kayaks and get messages. We found that a lot of people from the Marriott and Hyatt go here because it is one of the nicest and closest.
Andrew C — Google review
Nice beach to visit. It’s a bit further than the other beaches and therefore less crowded. Went there on a Wednesday and by the end of the afternoon we were almost alone on the beach. However, as it says in its name, a lot of the shoreline is covered in small rocks/sea shells which can make walking into the water a bit more tricky. Like most beaches, they charge 10$ for chair and 5$ for umbrellas, but you can always walk a bit further down the shore and just put down a towel. There are many local restaurants along the shore, we went to Reggae Beach Bar which had one of the best Chicken Roti in town. Also tried the fried Conch which was great.
Michele H — Google review
Beautiful beach. Less busy than those at South Friars Bay. Pretty laid back, but has restaurants, bars, beach chairs and umbrellas (for a small fee of $10). Taxi ride is $7 (US) each way per person.
S B — Google review
This beach was not as spectacular as others in the Caribbean, the water was a little murky and the amenities were few. Overall it is a cheap $7 per person taxi from the port with great island views and $10 to rent two chairs and an umbrella. There was good snorkeling.
Michael F — Google review
This is the best swimmable beach on St. Kitts. The sand is soft and both Reggae Beach Bar and Spice Mill are excellent places to get food and drinks on the sand. No Limit and other bars are great too and are located throughout the beach. The swim platform in front of Reggae Beach in fun. It's fun to watch the goats on the hill. There are jet ski rentals, etc. as well. WATCH OUT if swimming near the pier. Boats often come in and out of that area quite quickly!

Just had the most wonderful visit to The Botanical Gardens of Nevis— truly a hidden gem on the island! The lush gardens are breathtaking, with vibrant tropical flowers, peaceful paths, and stunning views of Mount Nevis. A huge highlight for me was meeting Arturo and Flaco, the resident talking parrots — so full of personality and charm! Many thanks to Mrs. Douglas for creating such a beautiful and welcoming space. Whether you're into plants, peace and quiet, or just want to have a sweet conversation with a parrot, this is a must-visit spot on Nevis. We Highly recommend it!

Beautiful!!! I ventured over from St Kitts to visit the gardens specifically and they did not disappoint! A beautifully laid out property with lots of different interesting sculptures and of course plants/flowers. I enjoyed meandering through pathways that made me feel I was in a tropical secret garden. While they provide a map, I enjoyed discovering the different sections on my own. A sensational view overlooking the Caribbean and some cool water features/fountains and talking parrots. The only downside was that my taxi was waiting and I didn’t have more time to explore/enjoy!

The Botanical Gardens of Nevis are absolutely beautiful and picturesque. The grounds are so well kept, with vibrant flowers, peaceful pathways, and stunning views. If there's one place you visit on Nevis, make it this place!! Absolutely stunning gardens. I grew up in Pittsburgh with the iconic Phipps Conservatory to visit, and this garden is a fair match to that level of decor & quality. Well worth admission and peaceful to explore for as much as you like.

My self tour of the Botanical Gardens was my top 3 experience on Nevis. The setting is magical. I arrived at 11:30 and had the place to myself. A self guided tour took me through the most pristine gardens with lush flora and fauna. There were several spaces for yoga and mindfulness. I sat amongst the gardens and soaked up the serenity. This is not to miss.

Nestled in the heart of St. Kitts, Fairview Great House & Botanical Gardens is a captivating glimpse into the island's colonial past. Built around 1701, this historic French plantation house once served military officers and has been meticulously restored to showcase its original charm. Visitors can wander through rooms adorned with period furnishings, including an impressive dining room featuring a grand mahogany table and antique silverware.
This was superb. We booked it as a tour from our cruise. The house was lovely, with gorgeous views and gardens; thehistory was really interesting; the rum tasting was generous and enjoyable and our guide, Doreen, entertaining and lovely. The rum isn't expensive (although it's supposedly a bit cheaper at the port) so worth buying here, as it keeps the museum going.

So glad we visited here! Such beautiful gardens and a very interesting house. The information throughout the house was clear and informative. However, the slave exhibition in the basement of the house was, for me, the most impressive feature. It was very well presented, offered great detail and although incredibly sad, an amazing presentation of such important and pertinent information. We visited out of the main season so some of the 'attractions' such as cooking presentations and the gift shop were closed. We didn't use the swimming pool or bar, but they looked very clean and appealing. Signs on the road to show which turning to take were non-existent (well we didnt see any) and the road leading up to the house was extremely treacherous / so bumpy and uneven. This is my 4th time in St kitts and I have never even heard of this house before - I discovered it by chance. I am so surprised that it is not more well advertised as a tourist attraction, as it is most certainly worth a visit.
Saskia F — Google review
It's definitely worth a visit and it's a bargain at only 5usd. The house itself is gorgeous both inside and out, and the outbuildings are worth poking around in. There is a lot of information even withput a tour guide. I enjoyed taking my time without a guide. Don't miss the highly informative and unsettling history of the slave trade in the basement. The bath house is also worth checking out. I can't imagine how long it would take to fill that thing, and all by hand too! The beautifully manicured gardens have lots of signs describing the plants and trees and some interesting facts about them. It's a very peaceful and relaxing spot. Finally, if you are so inclined, you can do a rum tasting for $15 in the verandah bar. This was one of the highlights of my trip to St Kitts.

Stopover on a cruise excursion tour. Wonderful house to visit and learn a bit about history in St Kitts. We were free to walk around and - there was plenty of signage for a self-guided tour. Great views (probably my favorite) of St Kitt, and well-tended to botanical gardens.

Had a great time looking around the great house. The history is super interesting. Of course for us the Rum tasting was the main event. Doreen was awesome. Really funny and engaging. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely cooking and rum tasting tour here. Such a lovely selection of rum we had to take home a couple bottles. We really enjoyed the cooling demonstration and tasting too. A little time exploring the gardens and the buildings and a short time relaxing by the pool was a great way to spend the morning. Very glad we chose this excursion from our Celebrity cruise while we were in port.

Beautiful, and lovely restoration job. We got a tour and the guide was a very lovely lady with a perfect sense of humor for giving tours, informative and knowledgeable. Got to try some of the rum too; that's a 10/10 rum. I absolutely will be back.

This was the first stop on our tour of St Kitts. Plan to spend at least 45 min to an hour here as there’s so much to explore, read and learn. The house is extremely well preserved with so many details you’ll be delighted, especially if your an avid history student.

Scenic Drives
Timothy Hill Overlook is a must-visit spot in St. Kitts, offering stunning panoramic views of lush greenery and the clear Caribbean waters. It's conveniently located just a 10-minute drive from the capital, making it easily accessible for visitors. The overlook provides breathtaking sights of where the Caribbean and Atlantic oceans meet, as well as views of Nevis, the peninsula at the end of St. Kitts, and nearby beaches and resorts.
This is the classic St. Kitts photo stop: You’re standing on a ridge with the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Caribbean Sea on the other, looking down over the narrow strip of land, the road, and those winding beaches below. It’s the kind of view that makes every photo look like a screensaver—even on a basic phone camera. What to expect: • It’s a quick stop, not an all-afternoon attraction – most people spend 10–15 minutes taking photos and soaking it in. • Usually a few local vendors, guides, and photographers are on-site. If you take photos with the horses/props or they help line up your shots, tip them—it’s part of the experience. • The pull-off area is right off the road and can get tight with buses and taxis, but drivers are used to the flow. Pro tips from a frequent reviewer: • Best time: Morning or late afternoon for softer light and cooler temps. Midday gives you the brightest water colors if you’re chasing that electric-blue look. • Cruise visitors: It’s an easy add-on to any taxi tour—just ask your driver to include Timothy Hill as a photo stop on the way to the southern beaches. • Safety: You’re right by the roadside, so watch your footing and keep an eye out for traffic while lining up shots. If you’re on St. Kitts and skip Timothy Hill, you’re basically skipping the island’s screensaver moment. Totally worth the short detour.

Timothy Hill Overlook is undoubtedly one of the must-see spots in St. Kitts, offering breathtaking panoramic views that truly showcase the island’s natural beauty. From the overlook, you can take in a stunning view of the peninsula and the nearby sister island of Nevis, making it a perfect spot for photos. There are two lookout points at Timothy Hill. The first provides a wide, scenic vista of the coastline and the lush greenery surrounding the area, while the second offers a spectacular view of Frigate Bay, with a clear view of notable hotels like the Marriott and Royal St. Kitts. As you enjoy the views, depending on the day and time, there is also local vendors where you can purchase souvenirs. You may even be lucky enough to meet a local with a monkey, which is a fun and unique photo opportunity for visitors. In addition to the gorgeous scenery, there is a popular St. Kitts sign at the overlook where you can take photos.
Louisianne J — Google review
Truly one of the most remarkable viewpoints. Went on a weekday during the evening and had the whole viewpoint to ourselves. Be sure to walk over to the other lookout platform too that overlooks the east coast.
Anna R — Google review
Really beautiful views here. I would say this is an easy must-do attraction in St Kitts. Great to snap a pic here.
Zenyatta — Google review
Timothy Hill is a fantastic spot for both exercise and breathtaking views! Whether you walk up in the cool morning breeze or during a peaceful evening, the climb is refreshing and rewarding. At the top, you’re treated to a stunning panorama, the deep blue Atlantic Ocean on one side, the calm Caribbean Sea on the other and even a glimpse of the sister island, Nevis. Oh! And you might see some interesting creatures on your walk up 🐒. It’s truly a beautiful place that captures the best of St. Kitts’ natural charm. There’s no entry fee, it is 100% free and open to the public. 🌴✨

Golf course
St. Kitts offers a variety of accommodations, from oceanfront hotels to tropical organic farms. The Royal St. Kitts Golf Club is located at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort and features an 18-hole, par 71 course along the Caribbean coast. For non-Marriott guests, the Irie Fields Golf Course at Kittitian Hill offers a unique experience with organic farms alongside the fairways.
Everyone at the golf course is super nice, and the Marriott was nice to drive me over from the resort on a golf cart. Overall, the layout and visual aesthetic of the golf course are incredible. I have played a lot of golf in my life and appreciate the design and challenge of this course and facility. The views of the ocean, mountains, and homes are awesome. Certainly, the course has seen better days. It needs quite a bit of money but you can tell they are doing the best they can to keep it maintained as best as possible. I agree with other reviews that the high rough (it’s actually just completely overgrown) can be frustrating as it’s easy to lose balls. The greens are slow, but true and in decent shape all things considered. For $165 id say it’s a bit high for the overall experience given the current condition of the club, but I’d like to see this course generate as much $ and turn the conditions around. It has potential to be one of the best golf courses in the world in my opinion. Would recommend playing but keep your expectations low as for course conditions and just try to enjoy the surroundings and keep the ball in the fairway :)
Evan L — Google review
This course has the potential to be so much better! A little expensive for the course quality. Went in Feb and the greens are shaggy and run about a 5-6. Fairways are patchy and the rough/weeds… just don’t go in it. The layout is nice and the views are spectacular. 200$ for 18 and club rental is worth it if you plan on playing it once. Club house staff was a little cold and the club house looked abandoned. Bring your own drinks as the cafe may be closed. Cart guy was friendly and appreciated our visiting. Plan on lift and place. Overall if you love to golf, it is worth a one time visit.
Nicojo8 — Google review
I recently played at Royal St. Kitts Golf Club during a December visit on a cruise. While the location is absolutely beautiful, the course itself was disappointing for the $200 price tag. The grass was not mowed properly, and it was extremely difficult to find balls even when they were just slightly off the fairway—or sometimes even on the fairway. This made the experience frustrating, as I lost a lot of balls that were not even out of bounds. The greens were rough on many holes, and the overall course maintenance left a lot to be desired. The rental clubs were in bad shape, which didn’t help the experience. Adding to that, there were no cart girls for refreshments, and when we stopped at the turn, the 'bar' was unattended, and we had to wait forever for someone to serve us. This wasn’t during a low season for the area, so I was surprised by how empty the course was and the lack of staff. I assume the lack of players and upkeep reflects deeper financial struggles, which is unfortunate given the potential of the location. All in all, I did enjoy the round because the setting was so beautiful, but it was not worth $200. For what we got, I’d say $100 would have been more reasonable. I hope the course gets the investment it needs because with better maintenance and staffing, it could be a fantastic place to play. Right now, it feels like a missed opportunity.
Josh L — Google review
Only golf on the island unless you go to Nevis. The lady was not very pleasant or helpful at pro shop but gentleman at cart barn was great. Course was in bad shape all around. Great views and nice to hit some balls on island. Does have a range. Overall something to do and get out and play.
C R — Google review
Played March 19, 2025. The ladies in the pro shop were probably the most helpful of any course I have played. Max, the starter and cart guy was so easy to work with. The greens were exceptional and the fairways and rough were kept at a length that made every shot playable. The photos show why this place far exceeded my expectations. 5 stars!
Jay F — Google review
Course is good! Not sure how poor are rental clubs, but course is long, uneasy, with water and hazards, picturesque and inspiring. Not flat. Fairways are a bit dry, greens are shaggy (5-6) but green:) It was $150 for 18, but should start before noon - close at 3:30. Personnel are friendly.
Alexander M — Google review
Loved golfing at the St. Kitts Marriott! They opened just for us after the island storm passed, and everything was back in full swing. The staff made sure water was always stocked—much appreciated with the island humidity. Beautiful ocean views and an incredible experience all around!
Veronica F — Google review
Some of the reviews are a bit unfair. It’s a Caribbean course on the water. The grass is going to reflect that. I had a lovely morning. The front is a bit plain but not unpleasant. The back is a bit more scenic with some nice views of the ocean and mountains. The rough is challenging as your ball tends to settle and can be difficult to find. The greens are quite slow, but consistent and well kept. Lots of bunkers. All in all few complaints.

Parking can be a problem on the weekends - especially in the evenings. There is long jetty in front of Four Seasons where we are able to spot 4-5 sting rays. This is a great spot to watch sunset as well.

Black Rocks, located on the northeastern edge of St. Kitts Island, are a striking reminder of the island's volcanic past. These craggy and jagged rocks, remnants of historic eruptions from Mount Liamuiga, meet the Caribbean waves with their anthracite blacks and off-greys. Visitors can explore the area and take in the spectacular scenery while also having the opportunity to shop for souvenirs at local shops.
Definitely another highlight of St. Kitts. If you're able to walk freely with no restrictions and you can climb up a little, Definitely go down to the lower edge and get some wonderful pics

Spectacular. Wonderful Volcanic rocks. A few gift shops there as well and i found them very reasonable compared to other shops on the island. A few food shacks here as well but were closed the day i went but overall very cool place. While going there at the observatory deck you will also see some stairs going down made of old tires with concrete poured in them. You go down and actually get to touch those black rocks and take very cool pictures. Not recommended for everyone. Be aware of your steps.

The sand is beautiful, and the water was nice. Lots of places to rent your chair and umbrella. I found it more windy (breezy) on the south side, which some may like. The water was pretty calm, but the wind made it a bit chilly
Sarah W — Google review
My partner and I stayed on St. Kitts for a week. Our taxi driver recommended Cockleshell Beach for a quieter atmosphere. Although it was incredibly busy, it was still quiet and relaxed. Chair and umbrella rentals were affordable. The water was okay, some areas had that grassy stuff. The water was on the shallow side, so it’s very kid-friendly; there were no waves. If you bring goggles you can find fish, crabs, even turtles! This beach was great for shell hunting!

Pn rhe arrival you can see a lot of rubbish and old burnt car. Not inviting at all, looks abandoned. Only when you walk long, you find this nice beach

The beach was stunning. Golden sand and crystal-clear water which was warm and fun to swim in. Lots of seaweed when we went (April) but we also saw a starfish and several conch shells. It was beautiful. The only minor downside was that we had to pay for the umbrella and people kept coming by trying to sell braiding/messaging services.

My review is for the restaurant and beach. I stayed 5 nights at Oualie Beach and dined 3 times at the beachfront restaurant. It is a cute spot with a very casual ambiance. I had an arrival lunch with one of my best rum punches on my rum punch crawl. It was not overly sweet and had a nice touch of nutmeg. My fish tacos were to die for. Next up was Saltfish breakfast. It was nearly perfect if it weren't for the kitchen being out of plantains. Lastly, my favorite light dinner was a fish burger with hand cut fries. The fish was fresh with a nice portion. Now, to the beach. This is a lovely crescent of black sand and gin clear water. The constant trades keep the beach cool. There is ample shade too. I swam every morning followed by morning meditation and yoga.

Nestled next to the enchanting Wingfield Manor Estate, Wingfield Estate is a treasure trove of history and adventure. Here, you can explore ancient Amerindian petroglyphs and the remnants of the Caribbean's oldest rum distillery, which dates back to the 1600s. The estate also showcases a fascinating aqueduct that once transported water from Liamuiga Mountain to its windmill, reflecting St. Kitts' rich sugar industry heritage.
We were supposed to stop here and look around. However the tour had a late start, so all we did was a drive by. Since we never got out, these are all photos taken from inside the bus. This was a sugar plantation when it was set up. If you were able to explore, certain places had plaques explaining what you were looking at. It had an aqueduct which I found interesting for such a remote island. This was the first settlement in St Kitts and the first land granted in the Caribbean for a British Settlement. This was all prior to 1623 when it was occupied by Carib Chief King Tegreman. It is now home to Old Road Rum.
Daniel G — Google review
A nice little history here, I thought it was going to be massive, but nicely sized! Read the signs around, will tell you what you it is all about. Great descriptions of the buildings, how they made rum, some of the process equipment is still clearly visible. An eerie feeling walking inside one of the buildings, no one else around except ghosts perhaps. Around the property you can hear a river flowing, birds and trees. Enjoy!

The bar offers a quintessential Caribbean experience, where guests can relax with a cold beer while taking in stunning views of the sea and nearby Nevis.
Let me start by saying I ended up here the wrong Friday so my experience was not as fun as most. The Reggie Band did not show sadly. On the other hand we had the best food we had on the entire island here. The lobster was cooked to perfection! The ribs were literally fall off the bone tender and had amazing flavor. The mahi was wonderful. All of the side could put you into a food coma. I would highly recommend coming out here for Friday Night Lobster Fest! It really was the food highlight of this entire trip.

If you're in St. Kitts and looking for a perfect beachside spot, Reggae Beach Bar & Grill is a must-visit! The location is absolutely stunning, with its inviting white sand and crystal-clear water—ideal for spending the entire day soaking up the Caribbean sun. The food is outstanding, especially the lobster and shrimp, which were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Every bite was a delight, and I could have eaten it all day! The service deserves a special mention—Amita and the entire staff made us feel incredibly welcome, ensuring we had everything we needed for an unforgettable experience. There's even a cute gift shop on-site if you need any last-minute souvenirs, and trust me, you'll want to take home a bottle of their house-made hot sauce—it’s got a serious kick and is the perfect way to remember your trip. I can't wait to go back to Reggae Beach Bar & Grill—whether it's for the mouthwatering seafood, the incredible staff, or just to spend another day relaxing in paradise. Highly recommend! 🌴🍤🍹🔥

You can select up to three meats/protein: lobster of course, mahi mahi ( fresh of the day), BBQ ribs or shrimp. All served with fresh delicious veggies, plantain, and pumpkin fritters. This spot was a mix of locals and tourists. They had a great cover band. The price was reasonable @$45. Mixed drinks were average.

We really enjoyed our night out at Reggae Beach Bar and Grill. They had lobster fest and it was delicious. Tequila was our server and she took great care of us. We were seated promptly at a table on the beach and had a couple cocktails. The Reggae colada was great, Pina colada made with passion fruit... Mmmmm. They took our order for meat and shortly thereafter we checked out the buffet with salad, rice, veggies and plantains. The grilled fish was so good, and the portions were huge! They even had a band going, the green house band from Nevis. Such a fun night, I would highly recommend enjoying a Friday night at reggae beach. Make sure to get reservations, they fill up fast!

Caribelle Batik at Romney Manor is a must-visit in Saint Kitts, offering a beautiful location with stunning views of the water and well-maintained gardens. The friendly staff provides an interesting demonstration on their batik-making process. While there's an admission fee, visitors have found it to be worth it for the high-quality products available at the gift shop. Beautiful hand done batik. Very friendly staff. Colorful well kept grounds. Clean bathroom. There are nice chairs inside and out for men to wait and relax. It is right next to the Rum distillery
Ede M — Google review
On a cruise, we stopped by St Kitts and got a driver to take us around the island. This was one of his suggestions, so we drove up the small, rough rainforest road. As we drive up, we see the ~500 year old tree. It was $3/per person to walk the grounds and it is well worth it. There are some beautiful landscapes that have views of the ocean below. After spending time feeling crammed on a cruise boat, it was finally nice to sit on a bench under this huge tree and hear nothing but nature around. The tapestries they made were beautiful and impressive. They are building a new viewing deck a little higher, but the views over the sugar mill were a different view than you get down by the beach to see the rainforest hills. Carib beers and rum punch are a little more expensive, but were refreshing on a warm summer day. I highly suggest stopping here if you are on the island for some peace and quiet time.

Caribelle Batik Plantation was another stop. We were able to see how beautiful batiks are made. Now I gave understanding as to why batik fabrics are so expensive. The grounds are stunning! The road to the plantation was very narrow and curvy.

It only takes around 30 minutes to walk around and see everything, but there is a bar and really nice gift shop if you want to relax and spend more time there. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. There is stairs in a few places, so those with mobility issues may struggle a bit. Car parking but free but drive super slow as the road is very bumpy and uneven to access. Loved it here - like a small slice of paradise.

Beautiful wearable and traditional works of art displayed in a historical manor and lush gardens. Artists demonstrate how their skills are used to make these vividly colored prints. The gardens and surrounding grounds are just as colorful. Small entrance fee well worth the price.

So this was my wife and daughters favorite star. It had a beautiful location, wonderfully nice people and a very interesting demonstration on how they make their products when you get there. They say they charge admission but they didn’t. When you get there you walk through these beautiful grounds with flowers and beautiful views of the water. This is a must do for Saint kits. It is not cheap but the products are well worth their while. My wife has worn their outfits every day which since we arrive. They only sell their stuff at their main store which is this location and one near the port where the cruise ships come in. But this is the big store where they do the demonstration. It is a must see! Bring your wallet. The colors of their fabric are very vibrant. And we wash them while we were here at our room and they wash very nicely. They get softer the more you wash them.

Restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Basseterre, Boozies on The Beach is a delightful budget-friendly restaurant that captures the essence of Kittitian cuisine with its focus on fresh seafood. Guests rave about their conch fritters, which are perfectly fried to a golden crisp. The atmosphere is laid-back and inviting, making it an ideal spot for unwinding after a day in the sun.
We went on a very busy night but they were helpful to sit us right away and serve us as best as possible. The rum punch was really solid, chicken Alfredo was also. My wife really liked her meal. Overall a really cool place and atmosphere. Would recommend. A taxi from the Marriott was only $10 and about 5 minutes each way.

Atmosphere very chill and calm. Service on point. Prices very reasonable. Boozies lobster incredible. Even the nachos were mind blowing. Our host jahquim is the man. He took very good care of my family. Maybe the best host in the carribean.

Lovely flavoursome food served in big portions here. You get good value for money. The waitresses are not quite as friendly as you would like, but the bar staff seemed friendly. Atmosphere was not as lively as elsewhere on the strip, so would be a good place to unwind. Can't critique the food, it was delicious. Was not a long wait for the food for us either.
Zenyatta — Google review
Unfortunately, we were not lucky this night. We came there at six and they said the kitchen will be open by seven. We came back at 7:30 and it was not easy to get a table even though there were tables available. After some waiting, they seated us. It took at least half an hour until the waitress came to get our order for drinks in. We ordered food right away as well. The appetizers didn’t came and we were about to leave after an hour of wait. Then our appetizers came; yet we were awaiting for the main course. After staying two hours in the restaurant, we weren’t served our main dish and we decided to leave the place. The food looked amazing on the other tables. The service was questionable. If you spend more time in Saint Kitts, maybe it would be worth a try to go back there; however that night we weren’t lucky at all.

What a charming spot by Frigate Beach. Although the tables are a little jammed inside but it’s cozy and comfortable. Our server was very nice and patience as we took awhile to order. The frozen Mojito was very refreshing on a hot summer night. We had the delicious Coconut Shrimp and Jalapeño Pepper for starters. I got the Garlic Conch, very tendered and flavorful. Hubby had the Steamed Whole Snapper which was cooked just right. Not only food tastes good and also big portions as well.
GrAcIE W — Google review
Their lobster is the best on this island! Their food surprises you in every bite! I came every single week the time I was there. You probably have to wait a million years for the food but it's 100% worth waiting! Little reminder: the staff has their moments sometimes :)

Excellent food. Good portion sizes. Fair prices. Quick service. My wife had the BBQ pork ribs and I had the Cajun shrimp pasta. We shared coconut shrimp as an appetizer. High scores for all choices, with the pasta being a highlight for both of us for how rich and cheesy it was.

Fantastic food, very good service. Whilst it was quite busy I didn't notice much of an atmosphere. Being with other people may have distracted me from any atmosphere. That said, the decor is good and it was nice and clean. I would certainly recommend a visit..

History Museums
The National Museum of St. Kitts is housed in a historic 1894 treasury building and offers exhibits on local history and cultural heritage. The museum provides insight into the island's past, traditions, and colonial history through its displays. Visitors can take a guided tour around Basseterre, exploring landmarks such as Piccadilly Circus, The Big Clock, Berkeley Memorial, Independence Square, former slave marketplaces, churches, the Drill Hall, and the French Governor's Residence.
I enjoyed my time in this small but very informational museum. The story of Saint Kitts was on full display. If you like history and you visit Saint Kitts you need to visit this place.

Small museum that has a few historic artifacts of interest. A lot of the exhibits and images look like they were just pulled off the internet, but you can tell the people who put it together take pride in the work. There is a $5 USD fee to enter the museum on the second floor of the building, while the gift shop is free to enter on the first floor. Expect to spend about an hour to get through the entire museum.

Mrs. Moores is absolutely delicious. A friend of mine told me of this place and it was absolutely fantastic.
Kristi M — Google review
Such a disappointment, especially after seeing the Museum at Nevis. Staff were pleasant & welcoming. However, the main exhibition was both small and in my opinion, quite disinteresting - it was based on the history of carnival and led up to current day music..... There was then 1 other small room with a very limited display of information and small relics. The fact that the museum is small, is not the problem. The Museum at Nevis is small but well presented and packed with interesting historic facts. The Website states that "A tour of the Museum will take you on a journey through the early stages of sugar cultivation.  From densely covered forest to the golden and black volcanic sand covered beaches, we boast a diverse ecological experience which is on display in the museum.....Inside the museum, one may feel as if they are living in the moment as there are ample amount of information and artifacts to relate to." This was the kind of content I was interested in, but this was NOT the reality of what is currently presented at all. Some of the photos that are currently on Google reviews are not a reflection of current displays. The Museum no longer allows visitors to take photos or videos and I wonder if the current limited display is the reason for this??

Not much to to look at but you pass right through it on your way to town. Does have nice old timey post cards though. Turn right to the post office where you can experience true island time as you wait for the clerks.

This is a good type of attraction to have on the island. More historic places are needed to give visitors and inhabitants a sense of identity and pride. There needs to be less bars and over-hyped, very expensive places.

Nevis Peak is a lush volcanic mountain on the tiny island of Nevis, offering challenging trails and breathtaking vistas. Rising abruptly from the center of the island at 3,232 feet, it's technically an active volcano but hasn't erupted in over 100,000 years. The climb is tough, with ropes tethered to tree trunks aiding hikers during the five-hour ascent. Cloud mist often obscures the summit view.
3 miles round trip from the car park to the peak. Much of the climb you need ropes to pull you up. Take plenty of water

Peaceful place as it should be, but horrible history. One christian denomination destroyed the church and build another christian denomination church. This is a result of colonizers. A burial site too, one or too of the tombs are falling apart. I tried to peak in, but couldnt see anything. A massive old tree, so beautiful, hug it if you are there for grounding. Nice location for sure, near everything.

Nevis, a smaller and quieter island in the twin island federation of St. Kitts and Nevis, offers long beaches, Georgian architecture, and opportunities to see sea turtles, rays, and go scuba diving. The lush vegetation and natural beauty make it quite special. Despite being less developed than St. Kitts, it has a pristine tropical atmosphere that locals aim to preserve while modernizing. Known as the 'Queen City,' Nevis is peaceful with friendly people and beautiful weather.
Nevis and St. Kitts was my favorite of the 3 islands we visited. We stopped at St. Marteen, St. Thomas, and St. Kitts. Nevis beach was just so nice with plants and seemed so quiet compared to the others. Catamaran dropped us off right at the beach. Even had a little shopping there on the beach.

Sugar factory
Old Road Rum Co at Wingfield Estate Sugar Plantation Ruins has a rich history dating back to the late 1600s when it was owned by Samuel Jefferson, the great-great-grandfather of President Thomas Jefferson. The estate, which later became known as Romney Manor, produced various crops before focusing on sugar and rum production. Visitors can take a tour of the old Sugar Plantation along the Wingfield Phillips rainforest Trail to learn about the process of turning sugar cane into crystals.
The rum tour was absolutely amazing—an experience that blended history, craftsmanship, and flavor in the best way possible. From the moment we arrived, we were immersed in the rich heritage of rum-making, learning about its origins, the distillation process, and the meticulous aging techniques that give each batch its unique character. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating details about the ingredients, fermentation, and even the barrels used for aging. Beyond the education, the tour was engaging and interactive, with opportunities to see the production process up close and, of course, sample some exquisite rums. Each tasting highlighted the distinct notes and complexities of different blends, making it an experience for both rum enthusiasts and newcomers alike. By the end of the tour, we walked away not just with a greater appreciation for the spirit but also with unforgettable memories. It was truly a must-do experience!

We loved the tour and tasting at Old Road Rum at Wingfield Estate. Just to state the obvious, this is not the current distillery. It is the historic ruins. We found it extremely interesting and fascinating to hear the process of this massive labor intensive task. Our tour guide was fantastic but I can't remember his name, sorry my friend! The rum itself was delicious! I love traveling and procuring good quality rums everywhere I go. Now to the small and cozy bar in the back... What great bar tender and what delicious cocktails. I HIGHLY recommend the rum sour. I should have taken a photo of the menu to see if I can re-create it back home. If you are a rum fan... I highly recommend this place. You can book the tour directly with them and just grab a taxi ride over there and schedule the taxi driver to pick you up an hour and change later. Thank you Old Road Rum for a great experience!! I can't wait to see it for sale in the US!

Had a wonderful time visiting the distillery! Kevis, the bartender was excellent and gave us a great tour of the whole facility! This is a "must-see" place!!!
Jeremy B — Google review
The ruins and supporting information is interesting, but it's the beautiful scenery that surrounds it all that makes it even more worthwhile a visit. There are public toilets on site, free parking and a smoothie bar, alcohol bar and depending on the day, some local bbq grills and stalls to get food & fresh fruits from. Surrounded by rainforest and access to some paths that will take you around some of the area, it really is stunning.

Mango is a renowned restaurant located at the Four Seasons resort in Nevis, offering a sophisticated beach bar experience with an outdoor deck overlooking the illuminated water.
We had one of the best meals in St. Kitts & Nevis at this restaurant. Despite being part of Four Seasons, it is not located within the Four Seasons resort. We visited the restaurant to celebrate our anniversary, and the staff made sure to make it a memorable experience. The sunset view provided a beautiful backdrop for our delicious meal and cocktails. The highlight of our dining experience was the lobster trio, which allowed us to sample the lobster meat prepared in three different ways. The mango cocktail was also very tasty, and the fish tartare was exactly what we expected. We shared the fresh catch of the day as our main course, which was generously portioned and enough for the two of us. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our anniversary celebration and last night in Nevis at this restaurant.

We had a great experience at mango. The view and seating is incredible as you are overlooking the sea. The appetizers were pretty good, definitely recommend the wahoo ceviche and the shrimps were great too. The Entrees didn’t reach the same level as the appetizer, I personally got the chicken roulade, which was different, but wasn’t amazing. The grilled lobster was great but didn’t reach the level of flavor and texture that others on the island did. The desserts were pleasing visually but lacked in the depth and complexity that i would usually expect. However, i may be getting too critical. 8.2/10

We had such an amazing time today at Dolphin Discovery for Father’s Day! The whole experience was fun, well-organized, and truly memorable. Special shoutout to Charnelle, our photographer — she captured every beautiful moment perfectly, and made sure we left with memories we’ll treasure forever. We had the pleasure of interacting with Penelope the dolphin, and it was such a joy! She was playful, smart, and full of energy. Thank you to the whole team for making our Father’s Day so special!

A great experience until we got to $170 for photos. I would 9 out of 10 if that was the scale, but since it's not, it's just not a 5 star They took a large group and broke it up to smaller groups with nine. That was very comfortable. The staff was pretty amazing and truly a once in a lifetime experience.

What an incredible experience we loved it from start to finish… would recommend to everyone! We had ample time in the water with the dolphins, the trainers were great, there was space to leave your belongings in lockers (free of charge), and also showers if needed too. We booked the photo package beforehand and this seemed the most sensible option as is not, you will be charged per photo and it works out crazy expensive… the package however was great value for money… we ended up with just under 100 photos between us for $55pp. The staff were also helpful and friendly at the centre and there is a little shop for souvenirs should you wish to purchase.

Absolutely fantastic experience from dolphins, to crew, to the ladies working in the Gift shop. Half as pricey as SeaWorld back home, and they have smaller groups, longer dolphin interactions, more pictures per price, and they redo the tricks if they don't get a good photo! The dolphins were happy and well cared for, and we're eager for interactions, bright eyed and understood the body language for the "tricks" and behaviors. The handlers knew them well and did well guiding them, and were super knowledgeable about their behaviors out in the wild. Lilo, a 27 year old dolphin, she was super energetic and healthy for her age, and had the cutest birthmark on her tail fin that looked like a rose tattoo! Sweet dolphins, great staff, and great photos! Highly recommend as an experience for all ocean and wildlife lovers.
Sierra V — Google review
Absolutely worth the time, money AND get the digital photos that they will make sure all get delivered right to your phone. I upgraded my package for an addition $30 to do two extra swims/ activities with the dolphins and it was also amazing.
Mary M — Google review
We really enjoyed this excursion but the organization of the different groups in different pools was not the best. Some trainers gave zero information while others were marine biologists sharing their knowledge during the encounter. There was a lack of communication between the staff and participants and things felt very disorganized with how the staff placed people and organized the encounter activities. They don’t allow you to bring your own cameras and charge an exorbitant amount of money to purchase the photos they take. The dolphins seemed to really love the trainers so that’s a good thing. I would do this again but would pick a different package and hope to not be in the kind of group I was placed in.

What more can I add to this place and anything that’s been set already. We arrived on a Thursday night early based off reviews of the crowds and didn’t wanna wait forever for dinner and we were able to see a beautiful sunset over the ocean. Little did we know that there was not a band playing on Thursdays only Wednesdays and Fridays so there wasn’t much of a crowd. That was fine. Allison who greeted us was an excellent host as she explained the menu and even spent some time chatting with us. My wife ordered the snapper plate while I ordered the combo plate of ribs and lobster. We had a few cocktails before dinner as we watch the sunset. When we got back to the picnic bench seating, our food arrived. Huge portions that we were very pleased with and fortunately, we had an appetite and were able to finish them. I know there are a lot of mixed reviews, but our experience was very positive. I wish we would’ve been there on a night that they had music playing because other guests that our hotel said it was an amazing adventure. definitely worth the $28 taxi ride out there. Luckily for us, our cab driver stayed and waited for us or else. It’d be difficult to try to get a cab back.

My favorite place. I like everything. Food takes some time but it depends on how busy it is. I've been going there with my husband for years. We're very know by the staff even by name. We brought the family sometimes and they're always have fun. Do not expect luxury, the theme is wonderful local people. Lobster, chicken, fish, ribs, shrimp, combos etc plus pizza. We've have had everything on the menu. They have live music or bands especially on Fridays. Nice sunset at least we've seen some.

Adonis Tour & Beach from Porte Zante is a popular choice for cruise passengers looking to explore St Kitts and the surrounding area. The tour company offers island tours, beach excursions, and transportation services close to the port and ferry terminal. Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities such as exploring local attractions, dining at restaurants and food courts, shopping for souvenirs, and relaxing at the beach.
We booked a horseback riding excursion with them and could not be happier. It was easy to book and easy to find them at the port. Our driver was Lee and he was awesome! We had a comfortable ride in a van with AC that took about 10 minutes to get there. We had Nigel as a guide and Treasure, Oreo, Ranger and OJ as our horses. Everything went great. The trip up the mountain was fun and we had no issues. We liked that the guide let us ride and was not constantly telling us we needed to do something. We only wish they had cold waters at the end of the ride although Lee stopped at the store and bought us some. All in all it was an extraordinary day!

Port Zante in St. Kitts is a vibrant cruise port bursting with Caribbean charm! Right in Basseterre, it’s steps from colorful shops selling souvenirs, duty-free jewelry, and local batik. The food court serves tasty curried goat and tandoori prawns, with local Carib beer to sip. Steel bands and friendly locals create a lively vibe, though it can feel touristy and crowded. St. Kitts itself stuns with lush rainforests, Brimstone Hill Fortress, and dreamy beaches like Cockleshell Bay. A fun, sunny stop for cruisers.

Really great place for shopping. Lots of different stores and duty free. Make sure if you find an item you like a lot of stores have the same item and there can be a difference of anywhere from $25-$40 and also bargain with the vendors there’s always room. Sone great bars also.
Chris C — Google review
Interesting place jewelery shops left and right everywhere you look. I guess it is because there is no tax.

Love, love Port Zante, so much to do. The night life is beautiful, good food, you just have to find it. Great location, the bars by the terminals are cool, the market near by too.

Beautiful area. I will have to say I only went in 2 stores and was followed I mean flat out followed around which made me leave both and not attempt another.
Angi H — Google review
Some shop are open a lot are not, at this time. All insist on wearing your mask. Some will take your temperature and use hand spray. The shops that are open are all good stores and their associates are working hard to keep them open. Unfortunately the museum is closed. All have high hopes for more opening in the future.

Great place, increases seating, clean enough bathrooms, water fountain with actual cold water, live music at times, the steel pans, clean, non smoking zone, welcoming entrance to St Kitts. Marsc level 1. But it's just the entrance... To St Kitts, get out there and say you've been to St Kitts.

Sunset Restaurant & The Dock is a part of the Timothy Beach Resort, located at the eastern end of South Frigate Bay Beach. During the afternoon, it offers a relaxed atmosphere and transforms into a lively spot in the evenings with vibrant rope lights creating a party ambiance. It's a popular hangout for both locals and tourists.
Formally the Sunset now it The Bistro. Confusing on where to enter for the dining area as there are 2 locations to go. Got a seat as we were here for an early dinner. Jonama was our server, a bit quiet but friendly non the less. Started off with a rum punch and a Carib beer. Settles on the jerk chicken and my wife the quinoa bowl. The jerk plate was full!! 1/2 a chicken when the menu clearly stated chicken leg. The Mac and chs was very tasty. Rice/peas and veggies were right on. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her meal. After dinner, she went over to the pass out bar and commented to the chef. “This was the best meal she’s had while on the island.” It’s not much in terms of ambience or decor in fact, it’s very basic, but you get a view of the water and great food.

I do like dining here when craving some traditional local cuisine, and it never fails to satisfy. The food is always tasty, and the view from within looking out to the Caribbean Sea is spectacular, to say the least. A good place to eat and take in the clear blue water of the Caribbean Sea.

Decent food with wait. They seem to do a brisk carryout business. Waitstaff is pleasant. The place has a lot of potential as a beach hideaway. I'd call in my order next time.

We stay at the Timothy Beach Resort every trip & this is where we eat breakfast. Had about every item on the menu. We love the snack bites at lunch beachside. Banana pancakes, salt fish roti, omelettes, French toast… it’s all good! On certain days the cook can sing country music like a champ :) and we love it. Crispy chicken wings at lunch and smoothies all day. Get the Ting with A Sting too! Best way to start the day is Sunset Cafe!

The Berkeley Memorial, erected in 1883 at the heart of Basseterre's Circus, pays tribute to Thomas Berkeley Hardtman-Berkeley, a prominent figure in St. Kitts' history. This iconic landmark serves as a reference point for visitors navigating the streets of Basseterre and connects motorists on the bay-road to the island's main road.
The tourist seems have to visit there, so I came. It’s a sightseeing spot with heavy history feeling~
Vicky — Google review
It's a fountain and a clock, despite being one of the most iconic spots in Basseterre, it's nothing remarkable. Close to the port and easy to visit.
Lui — Google review
The Berkeley Memorial was erected in 1883 and was for a long time the only public memorial commemorating an individual in St. Kitts. It was dedicated to the memory of Thomas Berkeley Hardtman Berkeley, a legislator and owner of the estates called Fountain, Greenland, Greenhill, Ottleys, Shadwell and Stone Fort. The structure contains a clock and drinking fountain. It was designed and produced by George Smith and Co of Glasgow, Scotland. Two other similar structures were produced by the foundry but only the one in St. Kitts survives to this day. It sits in the center of bassetere and should be on your picture list if you visit.
Timothee M — Google review
A unique memorial in the original centre of downtown Basseterre. It's a roundabout itself, surrounded by business enterprises ranging from banks and restaurants to tour companies, transportation services and clothing, and cosmetics. Interestingly, it has a standpipe, which was an important part of the social landscape decades ago. And it has a working clock.
Louis L — Google review
Pretty cool. Looks a little like the fountain in London, Picadilly circle. Big traffic circle crazy drivers, minimal driving rules. Watch yourself! It even has a clock in it the locals call "little Ben", after Big Ben in London.

Nestled along the vibrant Frigate Bay Strip, Vibes Beach Bar and Restaurant has been a beloved destination since its grand opening on December 4th, 2012. This lively spot perfectly blends the energy of a sports bar with the charm of a beach bungalow, making it an ideal hangout for both locals and tourists.
Full service stop. Pack, alcohol, and a nice beach. Employees speak good English and are polite. Food is 10/10. I had the wings and I highly recommend. Beach is nice. Sand is very hot so bring shoes. 5 stars!
Abc — Google review
We almost didn’t stop in because of some of the ratings, however we decided to give them a shot and were not disappointed. The service, music and food were good. We had Pina Colada, chicken quesadilla and shrimp sweet chili wrap. It was perfect 👌🏾. They have a partnership with Koi Resort and we were able to get cabanas for free.
Hercules R — Google review
Service was ok. Prices and food need improvement. $30 for a snapper with minimum seasoning that was the size of a pet fish. I understand tourist up charge but be reasonable and fair. Would not recommend.
Tulloch F — Google review
Went a few weeks ago and was delighted with both the food and the service. Today, however, no one bothered to come and take our order. We had to go to the bar and ask for a menu and drinks. We ordered food and it was delivered to us as takeout and missing the fries 😡 The waitress looked as us as if we owed her a living when we asked her to put it on plates and our second round of drinks never arrived. We paid up and went elsewhere for our second drink. I doubt we will go back and would now hesitate to recommend visiting.

Lives up to its name with great vibes (had to say it) Perfect spot in the middle of the Strip. Friendly service and great bar food with awesome views of the Caribbean from Frigate Bay. Nothing like eating with your feet in the sand and beer in hand. Great drink specials and fun place during the day and night.

Came here for lunch for 2 and it was lovely; the food, the service and the staff in general. Then came for drink in the evening with a larger group of people. Went to pay, and one of the staff behind the bar rang us up. Initially for 50, but we clicked the wrong button so she had to redo the charge, and when she redid it she entered 60. Gross

Historic Sites
The Museum of Nevis History and the Alexander Hamilton Museum provide a fascinating look into the island's rich heritage. Visitors can explore exhibits that showcase the people, places, and events that have shaped Nevis over time. The museum offers a small yet informative space filled with historical information, photographs, and artifacts. Additionally, guests can tour the home of Alexander Hamilton and stroll through beautiful surrounding gardens. The museum is well-preserved and provides an enriching experience for history enthusiasts.
Visited the Museum of Nevis History while on a short visit to Nevis in November 2024 for a workshop. I admire how this very small organization is able to share Nevis History with all their guests in a very meaningful way. If you're a history buff, stop on by and pay a visit.
Dr. O — Google review
I thought this museum provided a nice history of the island, and of course it was cool to see the connection to Alexander Hamilton. It wasn’t super fancy or anything. $10 per person.
Jeffrey B — Google review
To elevate the visitor experience even further, I’d recommend investing in training for volunteers or staff—not just to enhance hospitality, but to ensure they can confidently share the rich history. Consider replacing handwritten cardboard signs with more durable and engaging formats, such as digital screens that play short videos about the site’s history, culture, and nearby attractions. Linking points of interest—like trails, historical landmarks, or scenic overlooks—can encourage visitors to explore more of what St. Kitts has to offer, benefiting both the retreat and the local community. The above is only my suggestion. There is somuch to do and places to visit that should be place at the fortfront of what your visitors cando increasing the foot trafic and therefore the experience of any traveler.
Nollan Z — Google review
Nice little museum, worth visiting to support the place and learning about history of the place. Nice little coffee shop and souvenir’s on site
Cristian S — Google review
Tourist ripoff. $10 per person for two rooms of "exhibits" that are not much more than copies. Well, tourists are rich and throwing money everywhere, might as well have them throw some money here, why not. Save the money and look at the buildings from the garden and sit under a tree for some time.
Michael — Google review
Excellent presentation of informative, historic information. I learned so much. Myself, my husband and 3 teenage children really enjoyed and benefited from this visit. The Museum is small - but full of bright, clear information, pictures and historic relics. The home of Alexander Hamilton was also interesting. Surrounded by some beautiful gardens. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Explore the west coast's stunning features such as Mount Liamuiga and Brimstone Fortress, as well as the south-east peninsula and Mount Nevis. The tour provides an off-road experience combined with on-road racing, allowing you to witness breathtaking views while driving through diverse terrains.
Highly recommend this tour - great way to see the island of St Kitts and a lot of fun driving the dune buggies. The tour hosts are extremely knowledgeable about the island and extremely friendly. We ended our tour at Shipwreck Beach which is a great spot to grab lunch and a drink and take a dip in the Caribbean after off-roading all over the island

So much fun! The rain from Hurricane Tammy washed out some of the trails but Obo pivoted and gave us an incredible day. We chased rain around the island and got wet and muddy but Obo checked in regularly to make sure we were good and up for the adventure. No doubt he would have kept us dryer if that had been our preference. Great pictures at Timothy Hill and a wonderful lunch at Ship Wreck after driving was done. 100% recommend!
Jeremy R — Google review
Great tour. Booking the ATV excursion your cruise line offers will give you no where near the fun and excitement you will receive on this tour. You’ll meet great people all around from your taxi driver, to your tour guides, and even the people at the beach and bar. Definitely will be back when in St.Kitts again.

Love love loved this tour! Maxine was right on time to pick us up, had a large van big enough to comfortably sit the four in my family and 4 in another. Rusty had us going in the buggies in no time, he was a great help. Obo and Rusty took us all around the island, it was so fun to off road, but also cool to drive on the other side of the road! They were so helpful while we were driving. Rusty continously cleaned our windows to ensure a safe ride! We then went to JoJos and had the best rum punch ever. She really is a local gem!! Maxine took us to the beach/shipwreck and gave us extra time since our boat was due to set sail a little later then it was supposed to. Delicious fish tacos, a great place to snorkel as the reef is just 5 feet from the shore. All in all I would highly recommend Mad Max and her amazing crew. Thank guys so much!
Heather A — Google review
The trip completely lives up to the hype - adrenaline rush plus some breathtaking views of the island, a fantastic guide, and a great final lunch stop. Will be the first thing we book when we go back.

Super fun half day tour! Starts off with a tutorial and then you are off. Tour is part on road and part off-road racing around. Then they drop you at the beach/shipwreck bar where you can grab great food and drinks, see monkeys and go for a swim. We loved it! The guides were knowledgeable, helpful, kind and funny. Highly recommend this for a day out in St. Kitts.

Frigate Bay is a picturesque oceanfront inlet in St. Kitts, offering sandy shores and stunning views. The area features a mix of restaurants, hotels, and nightspots for visitors to enjoy. Frigate Bay North is a hidden gem on the Atlantic side of the island, known for its long stretches of sand with fewer crowds even during peak seasons. The calm and safe waters make it ideal for swimming within protected areas.
Lots of food and drinks option to choose from and the beach is lovely for the kids.

Stayed just next to this beach (March'23)and loved it much calmer seas than the other side of the island and beautifully clean and clear water and beach just like the whole island. Great bars nearby for drinks and food I loved this place and can't wait to go back soon!! Can get busy as they tend to bring the tourists from cruise ships here but they went up the other end of the beach to where we were. I miss my morning swims in this beautiful place but be warned the sea wasn't the warmest but you get used to it!
Laney L — Google review
I've lived in Frigate Bay for a year now and I'll say the location is just absolutely perfect. You're close to a lot of amenities and restaurants and the beaches are gorgeous. The only thing I don't like is the water tends to go out every evening and we occasionally have power outages but that's pretty standard for most of the island. I would highly recommend staying staying in Frigate Bay if you would like a little more off Island luxuries and to be close to the hotels.

A calm and peaceful place for a quiet family holiday. Some great restaurants in the area. Rock Lobster, Pizza Boys to name a couple. Reggae Beach is 10 minutes drive from here. Lovely area to spend a day. Has good cafes. Spice Mill has great food options. We spent lot of time near Debbie’s shack. Debbie is a lovely person and makes tasty chicken wings 😃. Try her Rum Punch with a Pakistani syrup Rooh Afza - a wonderful invention.

Frigate Bay is the place to be. We had dinner at Boozie's several nights and drinks in the bars along the beach. Rum punch and Carib (beer) were our choice of drinks.
Gabi — Google review
Review of Frigate Bay – St. Kitts “The Island’s Most Popular Beach and Entertainment Destination” Frigate Bay is one of the most visited and well-known areas in St. Kitts, located just a few minutes outside of the capital city, Basseterre. It is considered the island’s main tourist district, famous for its beautiful beaches, resorts, vibrant nightlife, and recreational activities. Frigate Bay is divided into two main beach areas — North Frigate Bay and South Frigate Bay — each offering a different experience. The North Bay faces the Atlantic Ocean, with stronger waves and wind, making it perfect for water sports like surfing and kiteboarding. In contrast, South Frigate Bay opens up to the calm, crystal-clear waters of the Caribbean Sea, making it ideal for swimming, relaxing, and family outings. Historically, the area around Frigate Bay was less developed and primarily used for small-scale farming and fishing. However, with the growth of tourism in the late 20th century, Frigate Bay transformed into a hotspot for luxury hotels, vacation rentals, and beach bars, while still preserving its natural beauty. One of the biggest attractions of Frigate Bay is The Strip — a lively stretch of beachside bars and restaurants along South Frigate Bay Beach. The Strip comes alive at night with music, dancing, local cuisine, and beach parties. Popular spots like Vibes Beach Bar, Mr. X’s Shiggidy Shack, and Boozies are famous for their Caribbean-style seafood dishes, cocktails, and live entertainment. Frigate Bay is also home to some of the island’s best resorts and golf courses. The St. Kitts Marriott Resort and the Royal St. Kitts Golf Club are both located in this area, offering luxury accommodation and world-class amenities. Another special feature of Frigate Bay is its stunning view of the nearby hills and the island of Nevis across the Caribbean Sea. Visitors often enjoy hiking the nearby hills or relaxing on the beach while watching the sunset over the water. Why visit Frigate Bay? It offers the perfect blend of relaxation and entertainment. Whether you are looking for a peaceful beach day, a fun night out, or a taste of Kittitian hospitality and culture, Frigate Bay has something for everyone. It represents the modern, tourist-friendly side of St. Kitts while still maintaining the island’s natural charm and friendly atmosphere. Frigate Bay continues to be a symbol of how St. Kitts has embraced tourism while preserving its natural beauty and local culture.

I read the other reviews and this was not what I found. Quiet...yes. scenic views of the ocean...yes. Lots of pubs...yes. Don't walk down the road behind it as you will get a different perspective. Even the beach had debris, an old firepit, and it looked beaten up. A few of the pubs looked interesting, but a few looked scary. We found a great spot at the beginning of the strip. Sunset pub. Nicely maintained, small little pub that looked down the bay, nice view, and great service. Look at the ocean and it is picturesque, looking down the beach and not so much.

A visiting vegan on holiday - was super excited to find this place. It’s so nice to have some healthy, thoughtfully made and delicious food on a trip. The folks working were friendly and the food was tasty tasty. I liked it so much I went back again! It’s easy to fly by if you’re not paying attention. Saw ital creations when I searched for a restaurant in the area. The farm and menu intrigued me so we stopped for an early dinner. My husband and I both ordered the special which had basmati rice, vegan meat. Patty, beans, and salad. Food was the perfect temperature and everything was delicious. We decided to try two of the desserts and they did not disappoint. I hope to be able to go back before we head home.
Kim P — Google review
The food was plated so beautifully - very innovative combinations of flavors and one could sense how very thoughtfully and consciously crafted …however with that said, I arrived towards the end of the day and the food was stone cold - sure that was okay for the salad/raw portions, but it had soooo much potential to taste a thousand times better if much of the items had been warmed even a smidge —-/ also there was a dead fly swimming in the sauce or curry … rather disappointing really. I would love to return, but certainly would choose to arrive closer to opening or lunch time when the food is more freshly cooked… The sitting area is so peaceful and green 💚

Nestled in a vibrant tropical garden, Luna Restaurant & Tapas Bar offers an enchanting dining experience on Nevis. This culinary gem beautifully blends Caribbean flavors with influences from Africa, the Middle East, and Italy. Guests can start their meal with delightful tapas like seafood au gratin or wild mushroom tartelette before indulging in exquisite entrees such as fire-grilled local lobster seasoned with star anise and cinnamon, paired perfectly with saffron rice and rich lobster butter sauce.
Had a great meal, very friendly service. Definitely not cheap but the food was excellent and we enjoyed the experience! Only complaints were the Steak was a bit overcooked and I wish they had some sunshades as we were staring into the sun while sitting in the early evening sunset, but those were minor things. Overall would recommend if you’re looking for a higher end dining experience!

Luna is one of our very favorite restaurants on the island of Nevis--we have been to many over several visits. It's always the first restaurant we visit upon arrival. One thing you know about Luna is that the food will always be full of flavor. You can't go wrong with the fresh catch of the day or the curry. There are excellent appetizers and the soup du jour is awesome because it just tastes like Nevis island flavor. The service is wonderful and super friendly. Everyone at Luna takes great pride in what they do--from chef to waitstaff to bartender. Owner Mark has created something very special and unique. The decor and atmosphere is chic from the courtyard vibe to the Moroccan lighting. The location is way more convenient and accessible that many of the other restaurants on the island--if that is important to you. Again, we love Luna and look forward to many happy returns.

Cruise terminal
Port Zante in Basseterre is a modern cruise ship terminal that offers a mix of old and new experiences. It's a bustling marketplace with shops selling duty-free luxury items and local handicrafts. The port has two berths capable of accommodating large cruise ships, providing easy access to downtown Basseterre within a 5-minute walk from the pier. Visitors can explore the lively area filled with liquor stores, casinos, restaurants, and souvenir shops without much concern for safety.
Very organised. Nice area. Good choice of bars, shops and restaurants. Close to the town. Level 10 Google reviewer with over 1,200 reviews with 2 million views plus 14,000 photos with more than 60 million views and still going strong 💪. Check out my other reviews 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟.

The view itself is beautiful however like other carribean islands that rely on tourism the moment you approach exiting the cruise port terminal you have 30 people shouting at you to go to the beach, take a taxi, or force a monkey on your head for a photo..I couldn't even walk next to my family and talk or complete a sentence without someone approaching us to sell services or souvenirs. At first I was polite but then it become harassment level and ruined the experience. Im on vacation for peace and quiet , this was obnoxious and I've never even encountered this in NYC. I grabbed once sarong and ran back to the cruise terminal to avoid the harassment. And yes we would say no to people but they kept pushing no taking no for an answer.

Open air tour busses and taxis are available right outside the port. The port itself is all about shopping. There were 3 big ships docked on our visit so ot was packed. The security line to get back to the ships always had a wait and no shade. You can go a block or two beyond the shopping area and see how the locals lives with ease. English was widely spoken and I always felt safe. There were lots of photo ops with monkeys and some of the animals were aggressive.

Major port to embarking and disembarking to St. Kitts. When multiple ships arrive, "chaotic" is the word of the day. If you are trying to join a shore adventure, there will be dozens of drivers holding signs to try to direct you, but they are in no particular order. With hundreds of people trying to find their rides all at once...well...good luck. The Landing itself needs work. If you are mobility-challenged, I did see a shuttle, but if walking, just watch your step - it is not a smooth journey. Once inside St. Kitts, there are plenty of shops with all the usual clothes and trinkets, but you can also find alcohol, smokes, among other items.

Port Zante is a fantastic port area located in the lively city of Basseterre. The charming promenade is surrounded by colorful stores, cafes and local restaurants, making it a must-visit destination. By the way the world‘s largest cruise ship the Icon of the Seas arrived at the same time!

Nice development on the cruise port and the strip mall. It feels safer, especially not being harassed by street performers or monkey pet owners who chased tourists for high tips for just taking a snap shot of the site or performance, like it used to a few years ago. But bathrooms are available for a dollar each use. They take the money first before they let you use it, though the bathrooms are clean but ain't that modernised. Some stalls didn't even havr locks on it. That is quite expensive, where every other cruiseship offer their clean bathrooms for free.

Very lively place. There are a lot of liquor Stores, so if you are looking for something, shop around. There are Casinos available as well and restaurants. These is also an area where you can buy souvenirs from, eat and drink, without having to worry about safety, too much.

Marriott's St. Kitts Beach Club offers spacious seaside villas with first-class amenities, providing a restful retreat right by the beach. The resort is located on the southeast peninsula, offering tranquility and excellent snorkeling opportunities with colorful fish around the coral reef. The suites feature mini kitchen areas, spacious living spaces with beautiful sea views from the balcony, and luxurious bathrooms. With convenient access to the beach and stunning sunrise views, it's an ideal destination for a relaxing getaway in St.
We had a garden view 2BR villa that ended up with an ocean view as the Turtle Bay building is partially past the solid wall people talk about so we could see the cliffs. We were there at the start of the slow season and it was fantastic. Sometimes it felt like we had the place to ourselves. Pools were nice. Restaurants were all great. Posted hours on the info sheet were not always accurate. The pizza at the pool really is amazing like everyone says. The Shack pizza sounded crazy, but we were all glad we tried it. Excellent. One restaurant was being remodeled and one shut for a week when we arrived, but it didn't impact us. Lots of local things to do within walking distance. Staff was always quiet helpful.

I’m writing this review for the massage therapist on the beach Angela. She was INCREDIBLE. Very, very fair prices & offers discounts for cruisers. The massage was with oil & fresh aloe vera & she did such a phenomenal job. She was incredibly sweet & personable as well. She makes you feel very comfortable. When you come, definitely ask for Ms. Angela! Thank me later. ;)

Great beach club. Lovely sunbeds and a great pool area, with friendly drinks service by the pool and on the beach. Food in the pool bar was good, and reasonably priced. Sand was a bit gritty, and the sea, being on the Atlantic coast, was choppy, but lovely nonetheless. Music by the pool was atrocious, though.

Excellent location with friendly and welcoming staff. I’ve been here a week already (staying for 7) and it’s fabulous! Location is great because there are 2 grocery stores within a few minute’s walk and loads of restaurants and bars at the hotel and surrounding areas. This time of year it’s very quiet as well. Shout out to the bartenders at the Lobby Bar! Loving it here!!!

Had the pleasure of staying at the property July 17-20. The customer service was great from each and everyone I came across while there. They have a nice size gym, is in a great location, activities, more than one pool and the BEST pizza I’ve ever had. I’ll be thinking about that pizza forever. The 2 bedroom villa we stayed in was spacious and equipped with everything we needed, the beds were comfortable, and good water pressure in the bathrooms. The only thing to be mindful of is the seaweed smell, which is completely out of their control. Besides that I’d recommend this location and would 100% return to stay again.

Absolutely beautiful beachfront location that lives up to all of the standards of Marriott vacation clubs. Lots of nearby attractions accessible by taxis standing by at the resort. Numerous on-site restaurants, and the friendliest staff you could possibly ask for. We couldn't ask for a better place to spend a couple weeks on St. Kitts.

Good selection of your typical Caribbean cruise port stores, some unique stores. The lines to return to the ships can get very long and slow, depending upon how many ships are in Port that day. Easy access to downtown for self-led exploration. The national museum is here but it was closed for renovation.

Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport, with the IATA code SKB and ICAO code TKPK, is the primary gateway to Saint Kitts in the Caribbean. Situated in Basseterre, the capital city of Saint Kitts, this airport is named after Robert Llewellyn Bradshaw, the first Prime Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis. It serves as the sole airport on the island.
Security line may be a little slow. Staff was friendly. I got pulled aside and they went thru my carryon and the wait still want to bad. Places to grab food and random souvenirs as well. I would definitely arrive 2 hours prior to departure
Christina R — Google review
Be ready to walk down stairs on arrival as there’s no jetway directly into the terminal. Factor in the weather for the 100m walk. We arrived at a fairly slow time so got through immigration and customs pretty quickly - they were very efficient. Be sure to do your entry online ahead of time or you’ll have to do it when you arrive. I can see how things in baggage and customs might slow down with multiple planes arriving at once. Convenient entry into Saint Kitts, with ground transportation just steps from the terminal.
Wayne L — Google review
Everything flowed smoothly. I arrived about 2 hours before my flight departed and made it through security about 30 mins before boarding. If traveling on a weekend, I recommend arriving at least 2 hours early. My only complaint is their was a water outage, so I couldn't use the restroom before I boarded the plane.
Tara K — Google review
This airport should be a lot better for such an idyllic island. The place isn’t well air conditioned and there isn’t enough room for all the passengers and well wishers during the busy period. Worse is that that process is poor - passport and boarding pass check to enter the security area and then AGAIN 15 seconds later the at bag scanning. Weird seating configuration in the waiting room, toilets at the ragged edge of bearable and few options for food. Spoils a beautiful place to visit somewhat.
Ian W — Google review
Small airport. No ammenities or airline clubs. There are bathrooms, 2 small stores selling drinks, snacks and souvenirs once you passed the security. There’s also a small cafe that you can order some local food.

So glad to be back in St. Kitts. Such a welcoming arrival at Bradshaw. Shiloh helped us through the whole process and our Titanic sized load of luggage. The staff at customs, immigration and the valet were all friendly and helpful.

I went to Temptations Duty Free, there are actually two outlets there run by the same company! They sell gifts and I bought 4 baby vests for my grandchildren (all for under 1 year old’s ) and a small bottle of hot sauce which they said was a total of 70 dollars. I assumed Eastern Caribbean dollars but it turns out it was US dollars which meant I paid £54 for 4 baby vests and a small bottle of hot sauce! Just shocking! I then asked for a refund and they said no they couldn’t give me one. Really bad customer service, absolutely nothing in the shop was priced as all and they seem to make up prices as they go! My receipt showed a total amount rather than itemising what I had brought. I feel absolutely conned and would never shop there again.
Julie Q — Google review
Surprisingly good experience at this airport, considering a number of bad comments. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Facilities limited. It seems that duty free shopping is only available when US and UK airlines depart.

This airport is actually pretty dang perfect. It’s very small but that’s what makes it great. It’s located about 5 minutes drive from downtown which makes it incredibly convenient and you should be able to get a taxi to the airport for 20 EC. This airport also has very friendly workers. The bathrooms were pretty clean and the few shops it had actually weren’t too expensive well at least the little snack shops. And man the VIBE was so chill the entire time I was in the airport they had owl city playing through their speakers making the space just still laidback. This airport is not the most modern or fancy but it gets the job done well.

Great airport. Very clean and Covid conscious. On arrival it was a breeze doing all the paperwork in advance. On departure, lines weren’t bad and we sailed through security. They really have it down. Suggestion- bring pens with you throughout the trip. Good for filling out forms, signing checks, etc. No masks required once you get through security. Very nice. The airport staff and customs were amazing. Coming back to the US, they were strict about the quart-sized bag for liquids. I didnt realize that, but the security were very pleasant about. Also went I arrived at SKB, I asked one of the security guards outside of the terminal about Hertz Rental. The security made sure I found Hertz's representative. Thankful for all the St. Kittitians I encountered.

There are photos online of this place in its heyday, with people, plants, shops, a tourist centre, greenhouses bursting with plants. The reality is quite different! This is a mostly abandoned (but cared for in abandonment) wasteland with empty buildings, derelict greenhouses, with great views and clearly a few bits of agriculture here and there. Charging $5 (US) each to see this derelict is, to be honest, daylight robbery. The only people who visit are idiot tourists, like us, off the standard ‘tour’ route (because they certainly don’t take anyone there….for a reason!) Save your money, buy a couple of cold Carib beers, and look at pictures on the internet. It’s more fun.

Blue Water Safaris offers a dreamy experience of catching a sunset over the Caribbean Sea in St Kitts, making it one of the best things to do on the island. The catamaran trip provides rest, relaxation, and delicious rum punch. Guests praise the accommodating crew, enjoyable snorkeling experiences with beautiful marine life, and fun activities like kayaking and mini speed boat excursions. The guides are highly recommended for their exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for visitors.
Our hotel was charging us too much to set up a catamaran full day trip. Some guest here suggested we contact Blue Water. Great suggestion!!!! Very easy to book online. Show up 15 minutes early and they board you on the boat. VERY friendly and helpful crew with a sense of humor. We set off after safety instructions and the music was perfect for sailing. Immediately they started offering drink and even delivering to everyone. The rum punch was the popular option but they had Carib beer and other alcoholic drinks. The weather was a bit windy but didn’t affect the sailing as catamarans sail right over the waves. We stopped at Shipwreck for 45 minutes of snorkeling. Water was calm and there were plenty of fish to see closer to the shore. Upon returning to the boat a fantastic lunch was waiting for us. I’ve been on several of these tours and this was the best lunch I’ve had. From there we headed off to Nevis island were they drop you off at Sunshine restaurant were you have a couple of hours to chill. Try the killer bee drink, very tasty. About 3:20 we headed off back to the marina while they continue to serve drinks and music is jammin. Highly recommend you only book you tour through Blue Water. Thanks guys, great time!

You can snorkel if you want or you don’t have to. Boat is very large and plenty of places to sit you can get out of the sun if you need to. Absolutely Fantastic! We went on the half day trip and had a blast! We were so impressed by every aspect of our trip. The booking process was easy, the staff were so friendly and welcoming, the boat was clean and well kept, the trip was well organised and set off and ended at the specified times - I can not fault anything. We really enjoyed the lunch and drinks throughout. There was plenty of food, it was very tasty and all looked to have been hygienically prepared and served. The snorkeling spot that we stopped off at was honestly one of the most beautiful areas I have ever snorkeled in. Not only were the number and varied species of fish incredible, but we saw sea turtles and even an OCTOPUS! Definitely plan to do another trip with these guys when we're back on the island.

This was such a fun day! My husband booked for my birthday while we were in port on a cruise ship. Timely pickup, good driver, all the staff was very friendly. The men who take you out on the boats couldn’t have been nicer or funnier. One of them actually gets in the water and snorkels with you pointing out amazing things that could easily be missed. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend.

A totally outstanding trip. Wherever we go as a family we tend to book a boat excursion, we've done it in the Med, Atlantic and Carribean a number of times. This was the best by far. Yes, we travelled the Carribean Sea to Nevis, snorkled (excellent snorkeling gear that worked well including flippers) and saw amazing fish and turtles, ate a lovely lunch on board and then stopped off at Nevis for a couple of hours on one of the loveliest beaches I've ever been on. On top of that we had a free bar with beer, soft drinks and rum cocktails. But this really wasn't the best thing. The crew were experienced, kind and totally respectful. At every point, I felt safe and well looked after. There were a few single ladies on the trip and they were also treated with respect and care. I would HIGHLY recommend this trip. It really was a memorable day for me and my family.

Located in St. Kitts, Central Forest Reserve National Park is a lush rainforest offering various trails for adventure seekers. The popular Bench Trail, approximately 4.5 miles long, provides a moderate challenge with an elevation of around 1,300 feet above sea level. While guided tours are recommended to avoid getting lost and learn about the flora and fauna, independent hiking is also possible.
Central Forest Reserve (The Bench) Trail in St. Kitts: The Central Forest Reserve in St. Kitts is a lush rainforest that beckons adventure seekers. One of its popular trails is the Bench Trail, which offers a delightful mix of natural beauty and moderate challenge. Trail Details: Length: Approximately 4.5 miles (7 km) return, on a semi-loop trail. Difficulty: Rated 6 out of 10. Height: Around 1,300 feet (400 m) above sea level (actual vertical ascent is about 1,000 feet or 305 m). Guide Recommendation: It’s advisable to have a guide. They enhance the experience by sharing insights about local flora and fauna. Trail Experience: The adventure begins near the ruins of the recently abandoned Sky Safari Zipline. The narrow path winds through the jungle, following a dried-out riverbed. Small pipes alongside the trail bring clean water down to local houses and businesses. You’ll encounter a variety of trees and plants, some with edible fruit and others with medicinal properties. Keep an eye out for the massive locust tree, known locally as ‘stinking toes’ due to its pungent odor when cracked open. As you ascend, the trail becomes steeper, but it’s manageable. Listen for doves and perhaps catch a glimpse of monkeys. “The Bench” marks a partial view down into a gully, surrounded by rainforest canopy. In summary, the Bench Trail provides a decent workout, swings you through amazing vines, and immerses you in St. Kitts’ rich rainforest. Don’t forget to bring your sense of adventure! 🌿🌴🍃

To find the entrance turn up the road that has a sign advertising a zip line. You'll see parking on the right above the old rum brewery. To find the trailhead, follow the main road you drove up and the road will become asphalt/rocks. Keep following this road and eventually it will narrow and become more of a typical dirt/rock trail. You will get to a trailhead sign eventually-maybe 35min to 1 hr into the hike and you'll come to signs showing the military trail and the D'ane trail.

This is definitely a rainforest worth hiking! It has several trails, and though they recommend a guided tour to avoid getting lost, and learn more about your surroundings, you Can hike it by yourself. The are several forks and trails leading off trails, so unless you're Great with directions, stay close to a group. There's a zip line, an awesome smoothie hut out front, and other scenic tourist spots on location, like Wingfield Estate. The bathrooms on site cost $1usd to use and you have to get a ticket. There are several locals set up at the entrance selling souvenirs and the Batik Butterfly Garden is within walking distance. It costs $3usd, but there's no entry fee for the rainforest. You can take the local bus from downtown to the rainforest, for $2usd per person, and it takes 15-20 minutes. The bus will drop you off at the bottom of the hill on Old road and you have to hike about 3/4 mile to the rainforest entrance. Otherwise, take a taxi or a tour

A local tour guide brought us to these ruins and told us about growing up in the area. We spent most of the time walking through what was once a rum distillery. Lots of history here! It's also on the edge of the rain forest, if you're interested in checking out the local flora and fauna.

Our guide, O'Neil, was fantastic. He had grown up there and knew everything about the flora and fauna. He had created the original trail through the rainforest. He took us up 'the hard route'. 1400ft up the canyon. He pointed out trees, fruit, roots, wildlife, volcanic rocks and the canyon. The view at the top over the canopee was amazing. Ask for O'Neil as your guide!!

Nestled in the heart of Independence Square, the Gallery Cafe and Art Gallery is a delightful fusion of art and culinary delights. This charming spot not only serves up exceptional coffee and fresh juices but also tempts visitors with an array of homemade treats like cookies, cakes, bagels, and pastries. The cafe is owned by Rosey Cameron, who has made this Caribbean paradise her home since 1977.
Great local art, beautiful setting, homemade pastries and friendly staff.

Excellent choice for breakfast and a little history, the house is about 300 years old and still has its slave cellar intact!
