Stingray City in the Cayman Islands is a popular dive site known for its shallow waters and close encounters with southern stingrays. The area, located northwest of George Town, offers a unique experience as these gentle creatures have become accustomed to human presence due to feeding. Visitors can enjoy snorkeling and diving with the stingrays and starfish in the crystal-clear waters.
This was my second time out to the Stingray sandbar off Rum Point, but this time my husband and one of my daughters came with me. Only a few small boats, so not too many people, unlike last year when it was busier. Again it was one of the best experiences of my life. My daughter's initial fear melted away once she was in the water with these magnificently elegant sea creatures. We got to interact with them a few times each which was amazing. We got some great underwater videos too. Awesome experience! Thank you to Red Sail to Loic and Alex and the rest of the crew too.
Kirstine C — Google review
We took a tour from our cruise ship. It was a double-decker boat and took us to one of the sand bars. Several other boats were anchored there already, but we found a good spot. The captain threw stingray food in the water to attract them. There were several that came around the boat and the crew held one to take pictures with. It was a sunny day and an enjoyable experience. Wear sun screen!
Todd P — Google review
Highly recommend this experience to everyone coming to the Cayman Islands! It was suggested to us to go in the afternoon, as the cruise ship crowds would be gone by then. We came in low season and it was very quiet out in sting ray city! Beautiful crystal clear waters. The stingrays are used to people and love getting fed so they came right up to us! They don’t sting unless in danger. We felt very safe and cared for
Alanna M — Google review
Such a great experience being in the water with stingrays—they were just like playful puppies! So much fun to interact with these gentle creatures up close. Highly recommend!
Debora ( — Google review
We had a great time on a 3h boat tour with about 21 others going to see wild stingrays, snorkeling and see wild starfish at a reasonable price. They were competent well organized and it was fun! I would recommend this anytime.
Bernhard B — Google review
We chartered a boat with White Sand Water Sports and spent about three hours exploring different stops, including Stingray City. Our group included eight adults and six children ranging from ages 4 to 12. Every single one of us agreed that Stingray City was one of the best experiences of our trip. The memories we made there will stay with us for a long time. Highly recommend!
Reisha B — Google review
I got to experience this as part of a tour. Highly recommend visiting the stingrays. It was out in the middle of the ocean on a sand bar. The water is clear and the stingrays seemed really friendly.
Denisha — Google review
This is one of ours favorite experiences in Caymans! We did a three way stops and visited coral reef, stingray city, and starfish point. You get to interact with the stingrays and the guide gives you calamari to feed them. It was such a fun experience! Definitely 10/10 will recommend it to anyone who wants to visit the island!

Cemetery Beach is a serene and secluded section located at the northern end of Grand Cayman's famous Seven Mile Beach. It offers a long sandy strip that is perfect for snorkeling, beach glass hunting, and picnics under shady trees. Unlike the more resort-heavy part of Seven Mile Beach, Cemetery Beach provides good public parking and stunning sand shaded by tropical foliage. Visitors can enjoy a tranquil experience with white-sand shores lined with mangrove and coconut trees.
Reefs around the white buoy a short swim off the beach offer good snorkeling with lots of coral and marine life. Tall trees provide shade on the beach. There's a rest room on the far side of the main road adjacent to a large parking lot. Kittiwake reef further out is too far of a swim.
Mike E — Google review
A lot of shade available and water is crystal clear. Beautiful beach to enjoy in Grand Cayman. There is a parking lot on the opposite side of the road. Snorkel to spot fishes away from the shore. Definitely visit here for some great family beach time!!
Tanvini G — Google review
One of the better parts of 7 Mile, fewer people, calmer blue water, decent snorkeling. We really tried to find the sunken boat, no luck. Spotted a ray while swimming, blue tang, and some larger parrot fish.
Rudy R — Google review
Very beautiful beach with super clear water. Clean and a lot of shade from the trees. The reef is within snorkeling distance and beautiful. In the depth of 2-6m you can see lots of marine life. Surgeon fish, soldier fish, emperor fish, parrot fish and sea turtles. To name just a few.
Peter D — Google review
Cemetery beach is really nice. There are plenty of trees creating natural shade. Great place for kids. Nice calm and shallow. Snorkeling can be done only a couple hundred of feet out.
Timothy S — Google review
Absolutely perfect place to spend a few hours! Snorkeling is wonderful (easy calm waters to swim in) and beach not crowded. The north and east sides of the island were having a huge seaweed problem, so we drove an hour to get here - well worth it! There are no public restrooms or shower facilities here like on some of the other public beaches.
JAnn U — Google review
Lots of shade, very calm. The day we were there, there were no crowds. It was just us❤️ Beautiful beach, I think by far one of my favorites so far. I really liked how private it was. Wish we would've brought our snorkeling gear.
Ia R — Google review
I really love this beach. We came here a few times and was really the only beach along the "seven mile" coast we visited. It is indeed next to a cemetery. Parking was not an issue. Across the street was a new lot with a nice bathroom complex and showers. The lot is not vast and maybe has 20 spaces. It does fill up, but we parked in the street side spaces with no issue. Crowd was 60 percent local, 40 percent tourist. I think mainly the tourist that came here were for the snorkeling opportunities while the locals came here with their families. Lots of shade opportunities. Trees in good supply. The beach is fairly wide with fine sand though not sparkling white like further south The water is clear and blue with waves just big enough to entertain the kids and not scare the parents. Wife snorkeled here for hours, I laid back and just floated or swam. There is a reason people come here to snorkle. Great fairly calm water, plenty of underwater rocky grassy areas and lots of wildlife. There is even a shipwreck of shore that you can make it to if you are a seasoned swimmer though I would hesitate because of possible jet skiers. Don't let me saying rocky grassy area throw you. That is farther out and there is plenty of sand to walk on in the water. Speaking of walking. You can start here and walk so far south on the beach that you will need to take a taxi to get back before pumpkin time. Love this beach.

Spotts Public Beach, located in the Spotts Newlands area of Grand Cayman, is a serene and picturesque destination. The beach is known for its white sand, ironshore cliffs, and crystal-clear waters that are home to a vibrant marine life. Visitors can enjoy snorkeling in the shallow waters and observe green sea turtles grazing on the sea grass.
Beautiful Beach, that can get very crowded! I recommend to go there early! We saw a turtle and were able to watch it for the longest time! I saw a lot of people stepping on corals tho with their finns or feet, please try not to do that in order to avoid breaking the corals or stepping on any marine life!
Ranja E — Google review
I love Spotts! Small and local, ample parking and great for snorkelling and turtle spotting. Shady cabanas and palms. Even on an overcast day you can enjoy sitting on dock! The beach itself is lovely and book ended by rocks on either side. Very pretty!
Marie P — Google review
One of my favourite spots (pun intended). On a good day plenty to see, lovely clear water, lots of sea grass so turtle spotting is definitely possible. Also squid, rays, flatfish etc. Swim out to the outer reefs area and lots of varied fish. There's also a lettuce to spot the sealife from above. Turtles nests are signposted and it is illegal to disturb in any way, hefty punishments if caught. No amenities but some shaded areas under trees, benches under cover, an old but still useable bbq and portaloos. Just remember to put your rubbish in the bins or take it home to help preserve the beach.
Andrew G — Google review
Amazing location. Was very easy to find wild turtles feeding on the vegetation. Definitely recommend stopping here with your whole family. Definitely bring snorkeling gear.
Evan S — Google review
We came here after a local told us this is the place to go to see turtles. I read to come in the late afternoon or early morning, we came around 3 and snorkeled and saw a decent size stingray. The water was kinda choppy so we took a break. Around 4 we went back in and saw 2 turtles. We probably would have seen more, but the water was rough and was taking a lot of energy out of us swimming. Qs others have said, not a beginner snorkel spot. I brought a little floating to help. Like other reviews said, to the right or left of the peer. Swim just past the dense grass to where it's more clear and you can see the bottom sand and you will definitely see fish and turtles! I wish we came here more than once. It was amazing to swim and watch them in their natural habitat.
Jackie B — Google review
Great location for snorkeling; the water has a strong current, so don't go too deep if you're not comfortable. It's a clean beach with white sand, similar to Seven Mile Beach. However, it feels very peaceful and less crowded.
Rushikesh K — Google review
We came here more than once. The crowd was a mix of local and tourist, but all laid back and relaxed. There are a number of chickens you can make friends with. You have a good sand beach with enough length for a decent walk. There were people snorkeling and yes, there was turtle and other creatures. The water was a bit rough for relaxed snorkeling though. Like most places here, there was a mix of sand areas and rocky/grassy areas under the water, but very clear. We swam here quite a bit and had no issue. Parking was a breeze with plenty of spaces. There was a Porta-Potty. A large gazebo and a few tables. Plenty of shade here, we had no issue.
Jason O — Google review
Turtles sporting 10/10!!! Quiet chill beach, not crowded at all. Though there's a lot of sea grass in the water, making it not the easiest to swim and walk in water, this attracts lots of fish and TURTLES!! 🐢🐢🐢 **Please do not disturb them.** I recommend packing your snorkels and fins. The water is shallow for a long patch, staying around 5 to 6 ft (~150-170cm) all the way out at least half mile (800m) out! There weren't a lot of waves when we visited. Parking very available.

Historical landmark
The Wreck of the Cali, located near George Town in Grand Cayman, used to be a popular snorkeling spot until 2021 when the Port Authority prohibited snorkeling in that specific zone. The 244ft freighter sunk in 1948 and now rests less than 70ft from shore in 20-30ft of water. Over time, marine life has thrived around the wreck, making it an interesting site for snorkelers.
We had such great experienced snorkeling with our tour guide, Kurt and Bryan. They were awesome!!! The boat ride was only a few minutes away from the shore. I’d definitely recommend this excursion whether you’re a beginner or intermediate swimmers! It’s for everyone.
Galang T — Google review
Close to shore and a few minutes walk from the cruise terminal, it was fun to explore the cali ship wreck. There are also some corals nearby and fish in the area. We went with a We saw a few puffer fish hiding in the shipwreck and also a large tarpon fish lurking inside the coral reefs. Such a fun experience.
Its F — Google review
Breathtaking snorkeling at shipwreck. HUGE ship, very close to shore, easy trip from cruise docks. Only 5 minute walk to boat and 5 min boat ride to wreck. Great experience and easy in and out!
Blaine L — Google review
Large ship sunk in the 1940s and demo'd to prevent logistical impacts to the active waterway. The sunken hull and engine of the boat are in 30 feet of high visibility water and 150 feet from shore. You can also see parts from the demolition scattered about the underwater area. Can be easily accessed from the ladder at Rackam's. Sizeable tarpon hang around the water entrance area however the fish around the wreck are minimal compared to other locations. The wreck is located in a fairly active boat mooring area, so be sure to bring a floating marker or bright life vest, and be aware of your surroundings while snorkeling, for safety.

Rum Point is a charming beach located on the North Coast, offering a more relaxed atmosphere compared to the popular Seven Mile Beach. It's known for its signature drink, the mudslide, which is actually vodka-based and perfect for hot days. The Rum Point Club is where you can enjoy this refreshing concoction, originally created by accident in the '70s. The beach also features the famous Wreck Bar and provides excellent swimming and snorkeling opportunities with fewer crowds than its counterpart.

Starfish Point is a famous spot in Grand Cayman known for its shallow waters where hundreds of sea stars can be found. It's about an hour's drive from Seven Mile Beach, but worth the visit, especially for kids who are fascinated by these creatures. The area offers plenty of options for snorkeling, with sites like the Cayman barrier reef, Rum Point Reef, and Coral Gardens providing a variety of underwater experiences.
Starfish Point in Grand Cayman is a serene escape that’s well worth the visit. We arrived mid-morning and were pleasantly surprised by the ample parking just steps from the beach—making access a breeze, even on a busy day. The short walk from the lot to the shore only heightened our anticipation, and it didn’t disappoint. The water was absolutely stunning—crystal-clear, calm, and shimmering under the Caribbean sun. It’s shallow enough to wade in comfortably, which made it perfect for spotting starfish without needing to snorkel, though bringing gear wouldn’t hurt for a closer look. We could see several fish swimming around but the starfish were the highlight, of course. There were enough scattered across the sandy bottom to keep us enchanted—vibrant red and orange cushions dotting the seagrass. We loved watching them in their natural habitat, and the clear water made every sighting a photo-worthy moment. It’s a quiet spot, far from the hustle of Seven Mile Beach, with a laid-back vibe that invites you to linger. Palm trees offer some shade, but bring sunscreen and water since there are no vendors—just restrooms and parking as amenities. The beach felt secluded yet accessible, a perfect balance for a half-day outing. Nearby Rum Point is a great add-on for lunch if you’re making a day of it. Starfish Point delivers natural beauty and a chance to connect with marine life—simple, unspoiled, and memorable. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Grand Cayman!
Chuck G — Google review
Beautiful calm waters and plenty of starfish to see! Shallow waters for children to play. Plenty of shade too! We went twice in our week. Once on Sunday and once on a Friday. Early mornings and after 4 there are less boats and people. Great place to spend a few hours.
Karen G — Google review
Amazing beach experience! It was my first time seeing a starfish, which made it extra special. The pirate boat that sells food and drinks is such a creative and fun touch—definitely adds to the vibe. Don’t leave without trying the mudslide, it’s a must!
Debora ( — Google review
Since we rented a car, we didn't pay for the excursion to go there. We located it on our own. You can enjoy the walk to the "point", walking along the beach or water or walk the path to there. We choose the beach and found a few star fish along the way. Got to the point and WOW! Probably around 30. Beautiful beach and the view was amazing. We loved every moment!
Bryce P — Google review
We went on an excursion with Anchor tours in Grand Cayman and it was so fun. Starfish point was our last stop before returning to the main island. It was a pretty and well kept beach with lots of Starfish to see and touch. But you have to keep them in the water if you want to hold them. Our first stop, however, was stingray city. A sandbar out in the ocean where stingrays will come up to you (looking for food of course) and let you touch and sometimes hold them. It was a wonderful experience we'll remember for a lifetime.
Ee ( — Google review
Get an underwater photo of the Starfish. Beautiful! Never raise any part of them out of the water. They must stay in to survive...even if quick, it can damage them severely or kill them. Also avoid wearing sunscreen around them.
Carrie W — Google review
Very neat to snorkel and see many starfish and upside down jelly fish. The only problem was the mosquitos! Definitely bring bug spray!
Alanna M — Google review
Only 4 stars because it was crowded with obnoxious people throwing seaweed, I feel like their tour guide couldn't get them under control. Cool floating grill was anchored there but they were out of drinks. I was ready for a mudslide by then😆

Turtle Reef is a captivating dive site that offers a rare opportunity to witness sea turtles in their natural habitat. The crystal-clear waters are home to a vibrant coral ecosystem and an abundance of marine life. Snorkelers can follow the edge of the mini wall, observing colorful reef fish and soft corals, while divers have easy access to deep waters from shore. Located near Sun Divers, this site is known for its excellent visibility and the chance to encounter huge tarpon in a cave.
Great inlet for snorkeling and diving. We went on a day when the water was a little choppy so you could see some things but it wasn’t super clear and couldn’t see too far down for snorkeling, but still very beautiful area and access point.
Lauren ( — Google review
We visited in late afternoon so we could snorkel and then stay for happy hour and watch the sunset. Snorkeling, drinks and food were all great. Lovely sunset too.
Matt H — Google review
If you are a diver or wish to snorkel this is the place. Very easy access to the water with excellent visibility and lots to see. The water depth drops quickly and allows snorkelers to see down 50 feet or so. Divers can access deep water also from shore.
Joel K — Google review
One of my favorite dive sites on the island. Incredibly beautiful during the day and an absolute treasure at night. Saw my first octopus here several years ago. On-site dive shop (Sun Divers) has air, weights, water, guides, shower, dunk tanks, etc. Convenient stairs lead down to the water behind the Macabuca bar. Ignore the negative review(s) that reference captive turtles as they’re discussing the Turtle farm place down the road and not this wonderful dive site hidden behind the Cracked Conch. Don’t miss this gem.
Seth Z — Google review
Completed our open water PADI with Dani this week. Can't recommend this place or the instruction from Dani highly enough. Also a good place to snorkel and have a bite afterwards in Macabuca.
Richard S — Google review
Little unclear how to find this place…you basically park at, and go through, the outdoor restaurant (Macabuca’s) and they have a little staircase to get into the water. Very nice snorkel spot (and good food too). Parking is a little tough is all (limited spots). The hours listed on Google here don’t seem to be correct either…I’d go by Macabuca’s hours (although I didn’t confirm with them if they restrict access at any times but it was “open” when Google said it was closed).
Joseph S — Google review
One of the best shore Diving point on Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands. Located on North western part of Cayman's biggest island. Don't mix it with Turtle Farm or Turtle center! Turtle reef is an open water attraction 100m distance from the shore. (As locals call: Ironshore) Divers swimming out for night diving daily. When the wind direction is Northern or Northwestern and the speed of that is over 20 knots, it's not suggested to go out because of the big waves. Parking lots, scuba diver store and two restaurants is in front of it. Walking distance (100m) from Turtle Center and from Dolphin Discovery. 50m far from Cayman Auto Museum.
Péter M — Google review
Great shore dive location. Saw lots of sting rays, barracuda, and grouper. Then when you're done, Macabuca is a great place to grab lunch.

Seven Mile Beach is a picturesque coral-sand beach known for its popular snorkeling and swimming spots, as well as its line of resorts and bars. The beach is considered one of the most beautiful in the world, featuring a vast expanse of white sand and crystal-clear ocean waters that stretch beyond sight. In addition to beach activities, visitors can explore nearby attractions such as botanical gardens, ray experiences, limestone rock formations, turtle farms, and various historic sites.
All public beaches here are very busy. Great snorkeling in most places off of beach. Lots of tourist shops and places to eat and see.
Henry S — Google review
The best beach I've ever been to. The clean turquoise water is so beautiful, and convenient access to restaurants and restrooms is amazing. The color looks more vibrant in the morning and it's less crowded, so I highly recommend checking out earlier during the day.
Ki P — Google review
The cleanest beach in all of grand cayman. Plus lots of room. Not crowded on days when the cruise ships aren’t there. Plenty of room to snorkel and not be bothered. Plus the water is crystal clear.
Evan S — Google review
Also another spot I recommend visiting if this is one of your ports for a cruise. This beach was spectacular. We took the bus from the Cayman Turtle Centre to here, it cost us $1 for the ride and we enjoyed the rest of the day swimming here. The white sand is sooo soft and the water is super clear. Bring your own snorkel gear!
Ana G — Google review
Absolutely stunning beach. Super clean, perfect white smooth sand. Water is crystal clear.
Lindsey M — Google review
Certain areas will be busy like Governors beach as its easy access. Further up towards west bay is my favourite

Powder white sand and year round water as warm as a bathtub. Waters easy to just walk into they are clear and clean. The water is shallow but gets deep enough to snorkel, swim and relax. You can easily lose a whole day. Bring a cooler, take out and all your fav beach toys!
Marie P — Google review
Beautiful beach. Gets a bit busy, but it’s expected as all the main hotels are right there. The cayman govt did a very good job by not only keeping it public, but also having very convenient access point everywhere possible (essentially in between every hotel, and what good is a public beach that can’t be accessed like in many other Caribbean islands) including free parking spots across the street.

Governors Beach, situated along Seven Mile Beach in Grand Cayman, offers a relaxed atmosphere and opportunities for snorkeling and picnicking. It is one of the few exclusively public areas on this stunning stretch of shoreline, making it accessible to visitors who are not staying at beachfront resorts. The beach gets its name from the nearby Governors House. While it may not be ideal for activities like kite surfing or parasailing, its calm and clear waters make it perfect for snorkeling near the reef.
This is the beach you can get to if you don't stay at any oceanfront resorts, though you can walk and stay anywhere on Seven Miles beach. The beach lives up to its hype, calm and clean, gentle and shallow, perfect for swimming and pedalling, and other water sports as well.
Frank W — Google review
Really nice public beach with free parking. Not crowded. You can walk for miles in any direction. Note that there are no beach rentals here, so bring your own chair and umbrella - you can buy these at Cost U'Less across the street.
Mike S — Google review
This is a great beach to visit. There are places along Seven Mile Beach that have eroded away, but this place is great! It's perfectly clear, turquoise water. White beach sands, soft on your feet. There's public parking, which makes it very convenient to arrive and bring your items to the beach. It was a beautiful beach location!

This is a great beach to visit. There are quite a few are places along Seven Mile Beach that have eroded away, but this place has plenty of lovely soft sand. Great for chilling in the sea with a drink or, if you prefer, snorkelling, which is great, but you do have to go out over 100 yards, ideally up to the 200 yard limit buoy where there is a larger deeper reef with plenty of sea life. Look out for Barry the Barracuda! There is a public car park just off the beach but no showers or toilets.

Possibly the nicest beach on Grand Cayman. Beautiful sand and ocean, some shade, good snorkeling and lunch places walkable across the road

This beach is incredible. I'd say it's the #1 beach on the island.. beautiful sunsets, turquoise waters and white sands. Great for swimming or simply wading. There's lots of parking as well.
Randolph V — Google review
On 7 Mile beach, this is the ideal parking spot and taking off point for long walks on the Beach! Park here and walk to the right. We used to walk all the way to Public Beach( literally the name of the next beach with parking spots). When you see 8 Gazebos in a row with lots of rental chairs you have reached the Public Beach. We hit this beach at least seven or eight times during our trip.

Grand Cayman is a popular tourist destination known for its beautiful beaches, stunning reefs, and numerous shipwrecks that attract diving enthusiasts. The island offers a wide range of water sports activities and is home to many hotels and resorts. Red Sail Sports is considered the most modern watersports facility in the Cayman Islands, offering various locations across the island.
7 Mile Beach- This is one of the most beautiful beaches we have ever been too! Beautiful white sand and super clean. The further you walk down, the less crowded it is with tourists. Snorkeling is pretty awesome there as well. Grand cayman has been on my mind since we left! It's just that amazing 👏 😍 We appreciate the welcome to your beautiful island. Until next time 👋

I went to Grand Cayman diving for a couple of months... I was working on a movie filming everyday diving the wall and a lot of wrecks it was pretty nice it's sunburn easy when you're that close to the equator it's beautiful and you can eat a lot of food that's illegal everywhere else but it sure is good 👽☮️✝️❣️❣️❣️👽....

Absolutely gorgeous Island. So much fun. I'd move here tomorrow if I could. We did the Stingray City and Rum Point excursion and it was amazing. Favorite port of the trip by all. Great shopping too. Very clean and safe.

Incredible place to stay for a week! I felt sorry for the cruisers who only had 6 hours to see paradise. The reefs are loaded with beautiful fish. Plenty of delicious food. The beaches are amazing. The water is warm and crystal clear. See the bio bay, stingray city, starfish point. Spend an evening at rum point. Hold the baby sea turtles. Just get in the water! Whatever you do, don't think you are going to do it cheap. The price for paradise is a bit steep.

Beach
Cayman Kai Public Beach is a secluded and picturesque destination located at the northern tip of Grand Cayman. It offers stunning views, pristine shores, and calm waters perfect for swimming. The beach is renowned for its excellent snorkeling opportunities with clear water and diverse marine life near the nearby barrier reef. While it's recommended for advanced snorkelers, those up for a challenge can embark on a drift snorkel from Cayman Kai to Rum Point.
Great little public beach with a proper parking lot and bathrooms. We came here to snorkel and it did not disappoint. If you swim out to the reef it is quite amazing. On the way to the reef we saw 3 Eagle Rays and some smaller coral formations but once you reach the reef itself it is incredible. Colorful fish and healthy reef as far as the eye can see. We saw several large fish and a puffer hiding under a coral formation. The wind is a bit strong and the current can be strong in a few parts on the way out to the reef but it is fine for any average swimmer. Tip: The Eagle Rays we saw were hanging out in the deeper area (~10-15') about a third of the way out between the beach and the reef. If you hang out there for a few minutes on the way out to the reef you might spot them swimming low and slow along the bottom.
Robin F — Google review
This beach is tricky. You need water shoes to enter the water but after a short swim you are rewarded with the best snorkeling we have had this week. Beautiful coral of every color and size, squids, lobsters, colorful fish, just a very active reef.
Grazia S — Google review
Beautiful little beach access with good parking, restroom facilities and a covered pavillion. The beach has nice sandy areas, but also lots of exposed karst rock (not something you want to walk barefoot on). Shaded spots under trees available near the water. I would pass on by to another spot if more than two cars are in the lot.
1FLRUMRUNNER — Google review
A nice place to check out the north side of Grand Cayman. Unlike the other beaches on the north side we found, you can bring your own food to this beach. There isn't much in the way of shade, besides one covered picnic table, so bring an umbrella. There are restrooms here.
Matty P — Google review
Decent place for swimming, but amazing for snorkeling. Clear water. Public parking spaces and a bathroom. You have to navigate some rocks to get into the water but it is well worth it.
Ryan L — Google review
It's a quiet beach with few visitors. It is in the middle of beach front properties and the views are great. Be sure to bring water shoes since the entry to the water is through some very sharp coral and limestone.
Eric K — Google review
Discovered this spot on our last full day on the island. We had tried several other public beaches. By far the best snorkeling experience of the week.

Beautiful and peaceful! If you really want to relax, this is your spot. Very close to Rum Point and Starfish Point and all day trips leave right from the Yacht Club.

Eden Rocks is a renowned diving spot located near the stunning Seven Mile Beach in the Cayman Islands. It is home to two popular dive sites, Eden Rock and Devil's Grotto, which offer mesmerizing underwater experiences. Divers can encounter schools of giant tarpons, silversides, parrotfish, and barracudas in the turquoise waters. The topography of these sites creates an otherworldly experience for divers as they navigate through underwater mazes.
Just south of Seven Mile Beach and approximately 46 feet below the surface are Eden Rock and Devil's Grotto, two of the most popular diving spots on Grand Cayman. Both are wonderful underwater mazes filled with tarpon, silversides, parrotfish and barracuda, and they should be enjoyable swims for both beginner and intermediate snorkelers. The Eden Rock Diving Center, located on South Church Street in Grand Cayman, offers sponsored shore and boat dives as well as rental equipment to the side-by-side sites. Recent cruisers appreciated the proximity of the diving center to the pier, making for a quick and easy shore excursion.

Cracked Conch Restaurant & Macabuca Tiki Bar is a classic beach bar with a large deck over the water, featuring a thatched roof and mosaic murals of waves. The bar offers spectacular sunsets and tiki torches illuminating the reef fish in the evening. It has a mellow vibe with big-screen TVs, live bands, DJs on weekends, and excellent pub grub. Daily specials include jerk dishes on weekends and all-you-can-eat barbecue on Mondays.
We ate outside which allowed us to take advantage of the restaurant's great location so we could enjoy both the view of the Caribbean Sea and its waves hitting the shore as well as the dishes served. The dishes were very good, the service was very nice and friendly. A place worth recommending, especially for seafood lovers.

We had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely outstanding — the lobster with risotto and the octopus were both cooked to perfection. Our kids said it was their favorite and most delicious meal they’ve ever had! They ordered a special request fettuccine Alfredo, and it was a big hit. The tuna salad was also incredible — the tuna was fresh and full of flavor. Our server, Michael, was extremely polite, attentive, and made the evening even more enjoyable. The service overall was truly top-notch. The kids especially loved the sorbet served between courses — the cranberry and orange flavors were refreshing and fun. We highly recommend sitting on the terrace — even though we came very late at night, it was still beautiful with a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend this place — truly a memorable dining experience!

Whats not to love? Specifically speaking of the bar, bohemian chic with of course, seaside, diver, nautical flair. Breezes sweep in off the ocean, offering refreshment, in addition to whatever might be in your glass. Waitstaff is ultra friendly, food is gastropub delicious and the environment encapsulates the very best part of being on Grand Cayman, a mashup of locals, expats, tourists, and everyone else wanting a piece of paradise. Unpretentious, uber cool.

We went here back in 2012 and came back this year (2025). The food was outstanding back then and they stepped their game up even more. It’s an elegant menu in a great casual setting with the most amazing view at sunset. Easily our best meal during our vacation on GC. I would say this is a must visit if you’re coming to GC.

He went over and beyond to ensure we had a great experience .

Nice Oceanside bar at a super easy access snorkel and dive walk-in. Gorgeous reef if you're willing to swim out 100m, over about 30-60 get deep water. Almost no current, so it was an easy snorkel, with breathtaking views to the bottom through crystal clear water. Typically-overpriced Cayman drinks and food but their cocktails were fun and tasty. Didn't get food, just kept switching between drinks and snorkeling. Upon next visit to the island, will beeline there to rent dive gear and walk on in to explore the reef!

New best restaurant experience✅🏆 We were warmly greeted by the host and walked to our table right by the water (we got extremely lucky with these seats, but all the outdoor seating was gorgeous). Our server, Michael, was very kind, knowledgeable, and thoughtful. Service was impeccable. We got our starter so fast, then we were given a raspberry ginger sorbet to cleanse our pallets for the main course, which came soon after. Seriously, I was shocked at the level of professionalism and class of this team. And of course, the food was excellent! We got the chicken and duck, which were both fantastic, with delicious, well-presented sides. I will say we got really lucky with a great sunset and a cloudless, starry night, which definitely added to the magic of this dinner, but even without that, the setting was super classy and had nice lights around the deck, so I think it would be a great experience any night, especially with such great service and food. A well-earned 5/5 Just one suggestion: It would be nice to have the online reservation system be a little more automated rather than getting a call to confirm the reservation just a few hours before. We were wondering the whole morning whether the reservation would be confirmed or not and if we should make another reservation somewhere else

Sunset House is a charming seaside hotel located on the ironshore south of George Town, offering simple accommodations with varying decor and conditions. The hotel prides itself on being a top diving spot, providing specific diving packages that include trips to famous wrecks and diving training. Guests can enjoy comfortable rooms with flat-screen TVs and Wi-Fi, an onsite swimming pool, and water sports opportunities. Additionally, the hotel features a laid-back restaurant serving fresh seafood and a bar with an Indian menu.
I’m no connoisseur of dive resorts but I didn’t see any room for improvement. The dive crew was outstanding, we were with jack, bas, and mc. They were a great time AND safe, handled our diverse group of new and experienced divers very well. Food and drinks were top notch. Regular bar food and really good Indian food. Can’t go wrong. Service was solid. Room was nice, cleaned, restocked every day. They took us to some fantastic dive sites, I don’t think any of them were more than a half hour boat ride away. But the shore diving was honestly equally good. Some of the coolest stuff we saw was right there at the resort. A nurse shark, turtles, eels, barracuda, flounders, 2 scorpion fish, a squid, an octopus, a freaking mantis shrimp… all sited right there without even getting on the boat. Would love to come back.

I was a guest at the Sunset House. I utilized the snorkeling and diving facilities off the back of the property. I was very impressed. I love the map that shows the underwater landscape of their back ocean area. I would love to visit again and dive more. There were also several beautiful dive boats moored off the back for hotel guests. The tiki bar was also beautiful.

My friend and I ate at their restaurant for lunch during our scuba diving surface interval before our second dive. The mango daiquiri mocktails and shrimp quesadillas were very good. The staff was friendly and courteous. I love that there were canopies and humongous floor fans because it was a very hot afternoon.

Great diving, great dive staff. Outside restaurant is crap - bad food, worse service. Inside restaurant has better service but food not much better. Everything is overcooked. Got bicycles...were given two bikes with flat tires and loose handlebars. Will def dive with Sunset Diving again.... will not eat here again.
Meg S — Google review
Buckle up friends, this is going to be lengthy. Overall, a very meh trip. We have been diving for a few years now, all the typical quick trips, Cozumel, Bonaire, Roatan, etc. I will not come back to the Caymans. Sunset House in particular is definitely accurate on the 2 star rating, the only positives were hot showers with good water pressure. And the cute little lizards. The restaurant is overall edible but a little pricy. I have Celiac disease and my options were very limited, which I always plan for but absolutely nothing is marked on the menu and I only got sick a couple times guessing what could or should be safe. Red onions for days and they are not good with omitting when requested. I got the 'You get what you get and don't throw a fit' vibe. All the servers were very kind though. Moving on to the actual diving. Not gonna sugarcoat it, unimpressive. Coral life is struggling so much, everything is covered in the brown weed algae. The usual resilient corals and sponges, fish life was abundant so that made up for the lack of everything else. Here's where they lost me as a returning diver, Pablo was the only DM that even attempted to show the group anything. To be very clear, all the DMs were nice, gave clear boat instructions and made sure we didn't die but that was the extent. The suggested tip box at the dive shop counter was comical in relation to their recommended amounts. Basically $40 per 2 tanks PER diver ON TOP of what you're paying just to get on the boat. For what? We have to bag our equipment and take it to the dock, they pass them over to the boat and we set up our own equipment. Swap our own tanks, breakdown and re-bag. They transfer it back to the dock and then we have to go rinse and hang our stuff in outdoor lockers. A wildly different experience from anywhere else we've been. I expect that when shore diving but there is zero chance I'm tipping for nonexistent service. Big wildlife is pretty rare, a turtle or 2, a few Eagle Rays. We did visit the Kittiwake wreck, which was pretty cool. A couple other notable irritations, it is not in a walking friendly area. Their shuttle runs on their time so you're better off just walking to the shops at the cruise port about 20 min away. Which is a little sketchy with no real sidewalks until you're close to the port. The snack options in the gift shop are pretty much it and a very thin selection. And make sure to pack bandaids. Do yourself a favor and ask for a 2nd floor room or bring good earplugs. The suspected elephants above us were night owls, lucky us. The sweet little elderly cleaning lady was told in front of us that we were checking out a little late due to afternoon flights, she still walked in on us at 9am. AND TRYING TO GET THROUGH SECURITY AT THE AIRPORT NEARLY GAVE ME A STROKE. They do not tell you before getting into the stupid long line that you can only have ONE small quart sized zip lock bag. That's it. So they make you go through all your stuff to decide what to leave behind while you're trying to calculate how much it'll cost to replace it again. Do not bring anything expensive; lotions, perfume, makeup, etc. Even stick deodorant had to go in the baggie. Lip gloss, medication, anything THEY deem unsafe. The cynical side of me is pretty sure it's just a grab for your stuff. Most ridiculous was making me take off the 2.5" baby crescent wrench on my key fob. Like I can take the plane apart with that. Do not recommend visiting here unless you're already under their spell and have literally never visited anywhere else. Especially Roatan. Just go there if you want an amazing experience.

Went again today for the umpteenth time. As always the staff are awesome, I went diving today with Jay and we saw some incredible fish and crustaceans as we embarked on a night dive. The food is also great. Having come here so much I’d recommend burger/ sandwiches or a curry.

Unlike other reviewers, I liked this beach. There's nobody cleaning up seaweed and other plant matter that washes up on the beach. There was minimal plastic trash and when I found some, I threw it away myself in the multiple trash cans at this beach. There are 2 swings, multiple picnic tables, a dock and toilet facilities here. Visited January 2025

Colliers Beach is such a peaceful and beautiful spot! The water is super clear, the sand is soft, and it’s way less crowded than some of the busier beaches. It feels like a hidden gem where you can just relax, take a swim, or enjoy a quiet walk by the ocean. Perfect if you want calm vibes and gorgeous views without all the noise. 🌊☀️

My husband and I drove an hour and a half to visit this beach because we saw other reviews mentioning how idyllic and immaculate it was and promising your pick of conch shells; and while we did find two beautiful ones, it was by far the dirtiest beach I’ve ever been to in my life. I knew not to expect relaxing waves / much swimming, but the shore itself was covered in a copious amount of trash (ie bottles, shoes, cell phone cases) to the point that it made walking really difficult, and we only ended up staying around 15 minutes. It was really cool driving along the coast, but there are much cleaner and more scenic beaches that the country has to offer.

This is the best beach to see and enjoy the sunrise! I went there early in the morning for the sunrise, and there are no people on the beach. So I enjoy the beautiful scenery and the breeze. It's a peaceful experience. If you are staying in the downtown area of George Town, you will have to get up early and drive about 40 minutes to get here. There are restrooms and parking available at this public beach, so don't worry about it.

The Kittiwake Shipwreck & Artificial Reef is a popular diving and snorkeling site located off Seven Mile Beach in Grand Cayman. This former US Navy ship was sunk in 2011 to create an artificial reef, attracting around 20,000 divers and snorkelers annually.
What an amazing dive site. It was one of the more interesting wrecks that we have dove. It's strange because the ship is resting on its side. As we descend we see blue water and then the ship comes into view and it is sideways, very unusual compared to other shipwrecks we dove before. The shipwreck sits very close to the reef and at one point we swam through a passage where the shipwreck was on one side and the reef was on the other side. The water clarity on the West side of Grand Cayman adds to the experience as you can clearly read the words Kittiwake on the back of the ship once you first arrive. We were able to take great photos and even posed at the wheel, as though we were driving the boat (very cool!). As we swam around, we could reach each of the plaques, seeing all the people and organizations that worked to sink the ship for divers to explore. When we penetrated the ship, with the help of a guide, the clarity was exceptional and some of our photos even looked like the inside of the ship was not underwater. As the ship is laying on its side, the penetration is strange feeling, unlike that of other penetrations we have done before. As a diver inside the slanted ship, you want feel slanted when you are streamlined inside the ship. Instead of going straight through the passageways, you actually have to go up and down. This is a great penetration dive, as the clarity is exceptional and you can see light from the outside while in the ship and can see light penetrating through the chimney. Here are some photos we took inside and outside of the ship. We dove the wreck with Dive Tech.

I took this adventure thru Carnival Cruise. It was great. I am 75 and my sister is 80. They took us under their wing and made it a great experience. They kept us close to a lifesaving ring. They helped us in the water and with them feeding the fish we got to see more fish than most of the other snorkeling. They provided blow up life preservers for those that were not comfortable with those of us who needed a little security. Thanks to the guys for a great trip

A fantastic place to snorkel and scuba! Gorgeous clear water, many different beautiful fish, and a very interesting artificial reef made from a sunken ship.

Even if you just want to snorkel and look down on the shipwreck, it's still completely worth it! My family and I went snorkeling from shore out to the wreck (probably not recommended) we stayed in a group and had a colorful flotation device to stay visible. It's quite a swim out, but it was so worth it!

Great dive! We dove it a few years ago before it was closed because a hurricane. Glad to see it back open!

Nestled in a serene beachfront setting, Cobalt Coast Grand Cayman Resort is a vibrant and intimate lodging option perfect for diving enthusiasts. With just 21 air-conditioned rooms and three cottages, the resort offers a relaxed atmosphere and easy access to the island's north and west dive sites. The on-site Divetech center is highly regarded, providing attentive service and access to superb shore diving spots.
We had a fantastic stay at Cobalt Coast Resort in Grand Cayman! Our room was extremely clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and the ceiling fans added that extra touch of comfort — especially after a day in the sun. The view from our room was absolutely stunning — waking up to the ocean each morning was a dream. The on-site restaurant was another highlight, serving consistently excellent food with great variety and flavor. This is also a great place to scuba dive with Dive Tech, whose shop is right on site. The shore diving from the resort is amazing — easy access, vibrant reef life, and some really memorable underwater scenery. It couldn’t have been more convenient or enjoyable. A special thank you to Poppy in the office, who went above and beyond to help with anything we needed. Her kindness and attention to detail made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend Cobalt Coast Resort for anyone looking for a relaxing, oceanfront escape with world-class diving right at your doorstep!

Absolutely gorgeous! Beautiful and tranquil. If you are looking for a loud party place, this is not for you. If, however, you are looking for a place that fits into the tranquil environment with gorgeous room, ocean views, friendly staff, wonderful food and an excellent dive shop attached (dive tech) this is your place. Every staff person was extremely helpful and warm. I watched the sunset from my personal balcony every night. I ate dinner at their Japanese fusion restaurant (nova) most nights. (Hello! Reggie! You were amazing!) Truly, there is no reason to go anywhere else on the island. I did travel elsewhere because I wanted to go to more dive sights around the island; however, Divetech does have plenty of dive sights to explore. If you want to snorkel, you just walk out of your room and walk out to the end of the pier and go down the ladder. So many fish. The last morning I was there there was a whole school of squid the I hovered above for about 30 minutes. Exquisite visibility.

Satisfactory stay, my highlight was the sea view and watching sunset, I think improvement can be made in the maintenance and ambience of the resort, specifically the rooms. Just more attention to details. But the stay was 3/5.

We celebrated our honeymoon at Cobalt Coast & were extremely impressed with our experience! Poppy (office administrator) was very helpful & communicative. We enjoyed several meals & drinks at their onsite restaurant, NOVA. Gregor & Marciel were attentive & hospitable. The hotel is located off of the beaten path (which is actually a plus in our eyes) so we rented a car which we would highly recommend- you will want a car to get around & see other parts of the island. Cobalt Coast is an excellent choice if you’re looking for a romantic, quiet & restful vacation as opposed to what you would experience staying at a tourist-concentrated resort on Seven Mile Beach.

Beautiful Beach with sand entry around rocks. 6 foot jump from rock into water. Bathrooms and shower. Parking along road and across the street. Sunset view over rocks. Like all beaches very busy on Sundays.

Love taking sunset pictures here. Snorkeling is great too but eden rock is my ultimate favorite here on island. If you have small children this is a great beach to visit as it has a bathroom facilities and a wash area free to public.

Words can't describe the amazing time we had. The view and atmosphere was awesome! Good snorkeling!
Bryce P — Google review
If you are on the island, do not skip this spot. Spectacular swimming and snorkeling. Wear swim shoes as the bottom of the ocean floor is a bit rocky.
Kikky G — Google review
It was very, Very crowded when we visited. More trash in the sand than other beaches. Active surf near the rocks, so snorkeling was murky without going pretty far out. But there were a lot of the typical shoreline fish to be seen. Might need a revisit... but I was relatively uninspired, compared to other spots, both nearby and across the entire island. Easy parking across the street, lots of shade and picnic tables are positives. Maybe we just went on the wrong day. I really really REALLY hate hearing some group's loud as hell karaoke party, and that type of lack of social situational awareness can really affect my views of a place. KEEP YOUR MUSIC TO YOURSELF (ESPECIALLY karaoke)
The O — Google review
Just left here! Spent the afternoon here while on a cruise stop, and it was worth it! Great snorkeling, relatively calm water. Fairly crowded, but it didn't feel like it, if that makes sense. Beautiful coral, lots of fish, calm water. Perfect for our family! It's was a short drive from the cruise terminal- $5 per person in a cab. We asked about a return trip to the cruise area, and the driver came back a few hours later, just like we asked. Perfect afternoon!

Cayman Turtle Centre, also known as the Island Wildlife Encounter, is a prominent Caribbean wildlife park located on the Cayman Islands. It offers various cultural, educational, and entertainment programs throughout the year.
If this is one of your stops/ports when you are going a cruise. I recommend doing this tour. We did not book it with the cruise line but took a bus (paid about $2 per person) and it dropped us off right at the entrance of this place. The facility only charges about $30 per person and we were able to touch and get in some of the pools with the smaller turtles and touch them. Even kids were able to do that. We loved it!
Ana G — Google review
We had a great time here! Came on the Disney Treasure… got off in the port and was met by a cab service immediately. Costs about $8 per person and takes about 20 minutes to get there. It was not crowded, there’s tons of turtles and other creatures to see. The salt water pond for snorkeling was the highlight… my 6 year old absolutely loved it. The regular pool and water slide was a great way to cool off before heading back to the ship. Highly recommend.
Alex G — Google review
We visited in the off season and it was a ghost town. All exhibits were still open though. We were given a map which came in handy because this place is pretty spacious. Parts of our tour were sad - turtles that seemed in distress swimming back and forth in small areas. Petting the turtles was fun for our kids but again, some turtles were super stressed out and actively trying their hardest to escape even though there was no chance that they could. Snorkeling with the turtles was a fun experience. I wore water shoes due to not wanting to walk on a slimy pond bottom but others in my family didn’t mind. All of the turtles we saw were probably teenagers - not huge but not tiny. You can get very close to them and some may even bump up against you. The gentleman working at the life jacket/snorkel shack was not friendly at all and had AirPods in and was singing an inappropriate song out loud when my children were nearby. Pool has a fun slide that was fun even for the adults. Lifeguards were professional and keeping at eye on everyone. The gentleman in the bird sanctuary was incredibly knowledgeable about his flock but he ran a tight ship - so follow the rules or he’s going to put you in your place. You can purchase a small cup of bird seed for $1 and the birds will fly into your hand and eat. Gift shop has everything imaginable to purchase and was very nice. Overall our day was ok, but we would not go back.
A. B — Google review
If you’re a fan of turtles (and a few birds), this is definitely the place for you! It’s amazing to see everything—from the tiny hatchlings to the massive adult turtles. The experience is both fun and educational. We also stopped by the gift shop, which had some great souvenirs. Didn't get a chance to try out the water park, but it looked like a lot of fun for kids and families. A great visit overall!

This is an awesome way to spend the day in Cayman! It's interactive and fun for adults and children alike. Seeing sea turtles up close is amazing!!!! Touching young ones is even better! And you can feed the big boys! Throw in a water park, an interactive bird sanctuary and an interactive snorkeling experience and I was sold. It's an Awesome place that does great work! As far as tourist dollars go I would support this venue anytime!
Oran R — Google review
Before visiting we had seen a couple of bad reviews, however, now we’ve been I can say some of those reviews are total rubbish. We were visiting for the day from our Disney cruise. We booked indecently through them rather than booking with Disney, as Disney charge extortionate prices! From the port we caught the local bus which took 20-25mins and was $2 per person. He dropped us right outside the centre. Check in was easy and staff were friendly. Because we got there early morning it was lovely and quiet before the cruise tours got there. We had a walk round the park and a gentleman let us hold and touch some of the turtles. We went round to the pool area, which is lovely, clean and spacious. It had plenty of beds and the pool area is huge and heated! I’d seen reviews about the pool not being tiled, this is true, however, it’s not a problem at all, it’s to give the natural feel to go along with the vibe of the rest of the centre. My partner and I went swimming in the lagoon with the turtles, wow! It was amazing. The lifeguards were super helpful with us getting our life jackets and into the lagoon. You are allowed to take your phones or go pros to capture photos and videos. Again, we’d seen reviews about the algae, which is just ridiculous, of course it’s going to be like that, you’re swimming with animals that eat algae and it’s made to be like their natural habitats. You could spend as much time as you’d like in that area and the turtles would swim right up to you. Once the day was done, we ended up getting a taxi back to the port to ensure we got back to the boat on time, this took about 15 mins .
Annie E — Google review
We had a nice time here and stayed for lunch. We watched the turtles swim around and ALMOST got into the swimming river, but i saw a turtle poop in the water and i didn't want to risk it getting in my hair... lol. The butterfly exhibit was cool and we saw beautiful birds. The staff was nice, everything was cool. I would come back with my kid should I ever come to the island again.
Angie A — Google review
Highly recommend! A fantastic wildlife park supporting the safety, care, education, research and perpetual survival of the various turtles throughout the Caribbean. We loved everything about this park, and it was one of our favorite stops on our cruise. The breeding pond featured turtles that were absolutely huge, friendly and fun to watch while they were being fed. Watching them wrestle and splash each other fighting for food was adorable and left us laughing so hard. Job well done Cayman Turtle Centre - we will be back!

Travis was great! He tailored the trip to exactly what we wanted. His knowledge of the area, both above and below the water, is incredible. He made it a comfortable and safe trip for all of us with the well outfitted pontoon boat.

We had an absolutely amazing time on the water with Paradise Pontoons. Travis knows all the spots to check out for snorkeling/swimming and is knowledgeable on the sea life below. They provided all of the equipment for snorkeling as well as floating toys for general swimming. All the equipment was clean and in excellent condition. Will definitely be back for another day on the water with these guys.

Amazing time and the best money we spent in Cayman! John and Bill were fantastic. They took us to a bunch of snorkeling spots and were so helpful to everyone in our party. I cannot recommend them enough. We got to see the entire length of 7-mile beach in relaxing fashion. Four hours flew by so fast. And the kids LOVED the top deck with the slide. They had so much fun.

Love, love, love. Worth every penny. My two kids and I spent 3 hours with John and Travis. We went to a couple of snorkeling spots that were amazing. What is better than 7 mile beach when you are in the Caymans? A private boat to cruise you along the waters of course! We had the BEST time celebrating a birthday on Paradise Pontoons with Travis and John! We couldn’t have asked for a better crew. They knew exactly where to go to have the clearest water for snorkeling. The boat was immaculate and it had a fun water slide and huge floats that my 3 and 5 year old loved. Fully equipped with snacks, towels, and music. If you don’t want to be completely “Toon’d Out” the boat even has wifi for your social media needs :). We can’t wait to come back for another private escape!

Nestled in the secluded Rum Point on Grand Cayman's North Side, Kaibo is a popular beachfront destination offering two distinct dining experiences. The plantation house features stylish decor and a range of amenities including a coffee shop, gift shop, and watersports. Upstairs at Kaibo offers an upscale dining experience with an extensive rum bar, while the casual beach restaurant downstairs serves simple seafood entrees, fresh salads, sandwiches, and brick oven pizzas.
Kaibo Coffee Shop. Should have its own GoogleMaps tag. Not obvious that this little coffee shop is here. It’s well worth a visit. If you appreciate a good coffee then make sure you stop off here. I ordered a flat white, the first “proper’ one I have been able to get for some days. The coffee was very good and the pastries also look fabulous. Grab your coffee and go sit out on the jetty, or paddle with the starfish. We saw all sorts of beautiful fish under the jetty.

Poor DJ, has to wear his pajamas to work. I can understand why he doesn't get paid much. We spent a few hours there and he didn't play a single song anyone recognized. Lol!! Great location. BEAUTIFUL! This is what tranquil looks like. Good Espresso good lunch Staff was great. Ella's the hostess/supervisor really helped out with transport/advice. And the two servers (a couple we think, he used to live in Vancouver) were on top of everything - efficient and attentive. All very service oriented and generous personalities.

It's such a great place to grab a pastry and coffee. We stayed next door so it was super convenient. Service was always amazing. Unfortunately, I don't remember names, but two girls that were there in April-May were with a great sense of humor and so much fun to chat. Kids loved getting hot chocolate. It made for a wonderful start of the day. I was pleasantly surprised by the additional touch of doing latte art of cute little heart. There is seating inside and outside. Outside, you can enjoy coffee with a gorgeous view while your kids play Jenga, table tennis, or search the beach for starfish.

Loved this stop!! We boated in and had a lovely dinner as a party of 14. We were under a cabana and it was perfect. The food was top tier and so were the drinks!! I had the quinoa bowl added chicken and it was the best. My husband had a burger and it was crispy on the outside and so juicy. One of my sons had the BBQ sandwich, and basically inhaled it... everything that came out was beautifully plated. Thank you for taking such good care of us!

Shangi-la. This waterside restaurant is swank, oozes atmosphere, and an ultra friendly waitstaff. Its beachside chic, and contemporary casual outside space to dine (intimate balcony setting for evening dining if you choose). Whether for dinner, or spending an afternoon lounging and snacking, the environment epitomizes the "lux" side of Cayman life. I almost expected to hear "Piper, noooo!!!" (White Lotus vibe) from a nearby table. The menu is one of a varietal nature, from gastropub, to high end decadence. Well executed and always fresh, its one of the "go to" places on Rum Point. If you're on 7 Mile, grab a ferry ride, and or charter a boat, and make this your destination, it feels intimate and exclusive, but not pompous or pretentious. It is well executed island dining, leveraging every ounce of the resolute beauty of the island.
Laine A — Google review
We spent a fantastic afternoon here at Kaibo Beach with a fabulous lunch and then relaxed on the day beds, which you can easily reserve in advance online. Spectacular view, able to chillax in the water and see beautiful big starfish. The staff is incredibly friendly and very responsive, especially Ronnie and Roshan The food was excellent. We had burgers and fries, quinoa bowl with fresh grilled red snapper and a beautiful fried fish curry of course later had some delicious rum cake for dessert and mudslides. Their cocktails and mocktails are wonderful and truly refreshing. Thank you Ronnie and Roshan for all the laughter and for helping us create such wonderful memories on our vacation

The island offers environmentally engaging tourism opportunities and is highlighted as an eco-tourist's dream.

Great little island of roughly 100 inhabitants. Spend a whole day there and only saw two other vehicles on the roads! We were the only people on the beach as well as the only snorkelers that day. Had nice cold beers and snacks at a road side bar and we were served by the owner and his wife and had their full attention as we were the only customers there. GREAT quiet island well worth the 60 mile propeller plane ride from Grand Cayman island. :)

Morritt's Resorts is the largest resort on the east side of Grand Cayman, offering understated oceanfront accommodations with 1- to 2-bedroom apartments. The resort features two bars, an infinity pool, and a nice beach accessible to everyone. Guests can enjoy various amenities such as a bar and grill, restaurant, water sports, activities, and pools. Additionally, there is a convenient strip mall across the resort for shopping needs.
Overall I would give the place 4. The rooms are nice, especially the updated ones. They are erecting a new building which will probably be their best on property. The pools are nice, 2 of the 3 with swim up bars. The service is top notch. All the staff is friendly and very helpful. Teh food is good and their theme nights in the bar are fun. The only downfall is proximity to the airport and Georgetown. However, that may be a plus for some. We really like it there. It was our second visit and we will definitely go again.
Francesco G — Google review
The one-bedroom unit is quite small, with no TV in the bedroom and limited space overall. The showers are also small, and basic toiletries like shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion are not provided. Housekeeping quality for the one-bedroom is average—I'd rate it a 3 out of 5. On the positive side, the property itself is beautiful and very well maintained. The staff is friendly and welcoming, which makes a difference. However, parking is tight and limited. Be aware that you’ll need to pay for basic services like electricity, and if you lose your key card, there's a $50 replacement fee—even though most places provide them for free. Despite those drawbacks, the on-site activities are well-organized and enjoyable.
Evans C — Google review
You can’t take any drinks (alcoholic or soda, water is fine(?))or food to the pool. Drinks and food are expensive. Be advised you have to pay for electricity and timeshare fees ($10 a day) in addition to your room cost. The waterline was rocky but the beach is fine sand. Relaxing hammocks and plenary of seating.
Jennifer W — Google review
The resort itself was okay. The 3 pools were nice. Very disappointed in the rooms. We asked for a handicap room and she said we only have 2 of those that are 2 bedrooms on the property. Umm!! Our room was on the second floor and once you got inside, the 2 bedrooms were upstairs on the 3rd floor. The bar food and the dinner show was very good. The other dinner nights were very expensive and the drinks were $14-$16 every where on the property.
Bryce P — Google review
An amazing resort. Highly recommend. Three pools to choose from. Activities for all ages. If you are going to enjoy the beach, check in advance of travelling for Seagasm that may affect the beach area if you like a clean beach shore. If you are a snorkeller, diver, this doesn't affect your activities.
Kirk W — Google review
We stayed 2 weeks in August at the Morritt's for our Holiday coming from Europe. That was the second time we came to this resort. The location is amazing for snorkeling around the small pier. Activity were organized every day and it was very pleasant. And we could organize outside events at the information center directly. There are 3 swimming pools available to use as a guest and they were rarely overcrowded with a bar opening everyday at 11am, quite late for us. On another note, we found price for drinks and foods quite expensive even for the Caymans Islands. 10CI$ for a smoothie ...
Alexandre ( — Google review
All in all in was a good time. We wish the beach was more clean and usable. It was very rocky. The prices for drinks were crazy expensive. They are building a new building so construction noise all day. The beds were very uncomfortable. You can hear the neighbors on the 3rd floor while sitting on the 1st.

Point of Sand is a stunning beach located on the northeastern tip of Little Cayman, offering an idyllic escape for those seeking tranquility. With its soft, powdery sand and shallow waters perfect for wading, this beach provides a serene atmosphere that feels wonderfully secluded compared to other more crowded spots in the Cayman Islands. Visitors can enjoy swimming or snorkeling just off the shore, where vibrant marine life like grouper and conch can be spotted among small coral heads.
Best beach on the island — beautiful water, beautiful beach! Quiet, secluded beach with a thatched-roof cabana for shade, a couple of picnic tables, and a few lounge chairs. Powdery sand and minimal sea grass make it a great place for a swim or a snorkel. Less than 100 feet from shore, you’ll find small coral heads and plenty of marine life: grouper, snapper, tang, jacks, barracuda, and loads of conch. Just remember not to touch, taunt, or take anything. No restroom or other facilities, so “pack it in, pack it out.”

Owen Roberts International Airport is the largest international airport in the Cayman Islands, located in George Town on Grand Cayman. It offers flights to and from other islands like Cayman Brac and Little Cayman, as well as connections to Miami or Nassau. The airport has basic facilities for travelers, but some areas could use improvement such as more food options at the gate boarding area and modernizing the security check-point.
Efficient airport. They are British serious about checking your liquids. Do yourself a favor and check even medium size liquids to save yourself a hassle. No pre check here. Shoes off. Computers and tablets out. There are power outlets on the seats by the restroom near gate8 as well as an indoor play ground for the kids. As far as airports go, this was a good one.

In fact, the United representative locked herself in her office and refused to answer questions because she “had no answers.” So she wasn’t taking a questions. Meanwhile, over 300 folks were given $15 meal vouchers on an island that won’t even buy you a bottle of water for $15. It’s not the airports fault. However, there was a large amount of staff that was super friendly and super helpful. For that we adore the airport. I took away the 1 star for the folks that need to take lessons from the good ones.

Fairly quick passing through customs upon arrival. Departing took much longer than expected. There is no TSA pre check here. General security for everyone. If lines are super busy and you are not alone I recommend after checking your passport for one of your group to stand in security line while you check in. There was live music as well, which was really nice
Lauren ( — Google review
Small and convenient to Georgetown but slow security and they check your back for anything they can. Make sure to put your toiletries in clear bags and clear containers. The bottle itself has to be under 3oz or they’ll throw it even if it’s clear and almost empty, they claim it’s because they don’t have TSA. Also you can’t get on your phone after you get here and are waiting for your luggage, a dude got mad at me for being on my phone while waiting. Would’ve loved to know all of this before getting here.

The happy hour here is particularly popular, making it an ideal place to unwind after a day of adventure.
Great bar in George Town. We watched a midweek Champions League game while having great drinks just north of the cruise ship tender dock. Jamaican jerk chicken sandwich was one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had. Staff was really great. Highly recommend.
Dennis S — Google review
My wife and I were here on a cruise. We found Sandbar near the tender landing, just to the left down the street. It was quiet, just before noon. I tried the Run Down soup, a delicious coconut milk curry with shrimp, lobster, fish, sliced jalapeno. Really tasty, not hot from a spice standpoint. My wife had conch fritters, ate them up. She had two bourbon and cokes, $12 each, I had two Bud lights, $5.25 each. My soup was 26$. Conch fritters 14$ or so. You need to remember that their prices are in Cayman dollars, in US it was 25% more. Great people, good lunch. The gratuity was added to the bill. Expensive, but no regrets. Had a great time. PS, it was a little warm in the deck, but we sat near a big fan and were comfortable.
Jim E — Google review
We stopped here before getting back on the Disney Treasure from our day excursion… had planned to just get some drinks but the food looked good so we ate too. We had some island style rum drinks and they were delish. The food was also very good. We sat at a high top next to the water and the view was also hard to beat. definitely recommend. It says it right on the menu but we didn’t notice… prices are in their currency, so if you are paying US dollars, there will be an additional conversion fee added to your bill at the end, making it fairly pricey but no more than what you’d expect to pay in a cruise port. A 15% service fee is also added to the bill. The staff was super friendly - a great place to hang.

Great atmosphere, love the Halloween theme... Love the vibe... If u want to chill and have a bit of drinks and food, try here. Reasonable price. They charge local currency.

A happy, relaxing and frankly peaceful spot to enjoy a wonderful frozen drink and possibly the best battered mahi mahi on the island! After a long morning snorkelling all along the coast, to finish here made the day simply too perfect.

The atmosphere here is amazing a 3 minute walk from the drop off point from our cruise ship and when I say that they are the best conch fritter on the island. I have to agree 100%.

Sunset Cove Condominiums is the perfect getaway for families and groups seeking a laid-back atmosphere. Nestled along the stunning Seven Mile Beach, this beachside aparthotel offers spacious one, two, and three-bedroom suites equipped with full kitchens and expansive balconies—ideal for unwinding after a day of adventure. Guests can enjoy delightful meals at the on-site restaurant and bar while soaking up the vibrant ambiance.
We stayed at lovely condominium with beach view. Swimming and snorkelling in the cove was amazing. There were no waves so you just lay there in the water for hours and watch the fishes next to you. The apartment itself was clean and had everything we needed.
S P — Google review
So I’m going back and forth between 4 or 5 stars. I would say the condo we stayed in and rented from VRBO was 5 stars. Not the most luxurious decor BUT it didn’t matter bc every single amenity you would need was provided. We were on the second floor closer to the beach and it was literally the perfect sunset view very night! Our unit was comfortable and our host was AMAZING! Overall the location was convenient - walkable to some really great restaurants, liquor stores and even a medical clinic (which I had to pay a visit to unfortunately).. I love the convenience of a condo and being able to cook, do laundry and have our own space. It was generally very quiet, perfectly cool and we slept very well! We loved having the swim up pool bar (food was ok), and the swimmable cove. Everything was so lovely! The four stars comes in not bc of our unit but overall the units and buildings surrounding sunset cove have seen better days! This was part of Margaritaville, I believe.. and they had to shut down due to the pandemic and bc of that parts of the property are overgrown, worn and unkempt. Even the parking lot could use an upgrade. I can imagine what the overall property could look like with some TLC! With that said I would def love to return and hopefully stay in the same unit! Our condo was lovely and perfect for our stay, but overall the complex needs a lot of work. It has a nice pool, and the beach cove was nice for snorkeling, but honestly it was necessary because the rest of the beach was completely rocky and mostly inaccessible. The entrance is incredibly disappointing because the first building from the road is abandoned and it looks like you’re entering a construction site.
Lindsay R — Google review
The name fits perfectly for this place. We had a condo facing the beach and had magnificent sunset after another. Fully equipped kitchen, 3 bedrooms, and 2 baths. Great for 3 couples or a family getaway. The dining table is set nicely to eat and watch the ocean. Or there is plenty of space on the large patio to eat or relax. The are 2 different pools to swim in. One has a pool bar. There is a hot tub and kiddie pool. Or go for a swim in the ocean on the private beach. Not far off shore is the reef for the snorkeling types.

Great place to stay with the family. Best beach on the southern end of 7 mile with good snorkeling. Huge pool with swim-up bar that provides fun for everyone.
Eric D — Google review
The absolute best vacation spot on SMB. Huge pool with a swim up bar, great food and service, amazing for kids. We stayed in unit 118 which was great because it's a ground floor unit and super easy to walk back and forth to the pool. The cove is spectacular and makes swimming calm in any weather. Highly recommend!
Brian L — Google review
This condo development checked off all the boxes! We can't say enough good things about our experience staying here. We were a party of 8, so opted to book a 3 bed/2 bath oceanfront condo (#101) and a 2 bed/2 bath poolside condo (#117) for 5 nights. Both condos were clean, updated, had A/C that worked fabulously, had comfortable beds and furnishings, and were well stock with basic amenities. Unit #101 was the "hub" for our meals and game nights. Being on the first floor, we were able to walk right out to the cove for swimming and snorkeling. The poolside condo was right by the swim up bar, so some afternoons we hung out there for quick access to towels, bathroom, and changing. The pool is clean and huge, the swim up bar serves great snacks and drinks, and the beach area with cove is great for easy access to the reef for snorkeling. We saw rays, a small shark, and TONS of fish just outside of the cove. (Head out to the buoy straight out from the cove for the best sightings, though all reefs were fabulous - just look for the darker sections in the water, those are the best spots). Condo 101 had a large patio with a hose and nozzle for cleaning off feet and snorkel equipment. The provided beach towels are large and soft and there are always plenty of lounge chairs either in the sand or by the pool. Don't let the entrance area from the street scare you, as the hotel located right at the entryway is shut down and is starting to look a bit trashy, but as soon as you walk into the inner area of the Sunset Cove condo development, you will be pleased. Lots of development surrounding Sunset Cove, but a quick stroll along the beach reinforces that the Sunset Cove is superior to the adjacent properties. XQ Pizza is amazing (walking distance), as is Yoshi Sushi (drive a few minutes north). Da Fish Shack in George Town cooked up a Wahoo that we caught on a fishing trip and did an AMAZING job! There is a liquor store, a dive shop, and a Tortuga store within walking distance. Only complaint (and really it's not a complaint), is that access to the actual 7 mile beach is a bit tricky. We never actually walked it, as we were completely content just hanging out on the property. We will be back, and kudos especially to the unit owners of #101! You have a beautiful condo that we truly made amazing family memories in!
Angelika M — Google review
Really enjoyed our stay at Sunset Cove. It is very convenient and within walking distance to nearby restaurants and not far from Georgetown. The beach and lagoon are wonderful for wading, swimming and around the rocks that rim the lagoon, snorkeling. We stayed in unit #213. It was clean, well stocked and a good floor plan for two couples. Loved the deck and view of the pool. Pool bar/restaurant was a nice amenity. Great bartenders, good food. Staff, especially Tiffany and Roger (onsite manager) were wonderful and accommodating. One suggestion: While the pool was maintained daily or every other day with cleaning and chemicals, the grounds could have used more attention. I found myself picking up empty cups and straws plus straightening the lounge chairs to keep things tidy. Too beautiful of a property to ignore these details!

Southern Cross Club is a unique oceanfront resort located on the serene island of Little Cayman. With a rich history spanning over fifty years, it stands out as one of the premier destinations in the Cayman Islands. The resort offers vibrant accommodations and boasts a stunning white sand beachfront. It is renowned as a haven for divers, providing access to some of the finest dive sites in the region.
Everything was topnotch during our stay, but what we appreciated being everything else was the fault morning greeting and hit hat with Chef Anu, then the lunch chat with the manager, Jen who made sure daily that we were having fun. Our favorite staff member in the restaurant and office was Jash. I love her enthusiasm and kindness. The dive team members were all stellar. I won't name them all, but they were equally professional, knowlegeable, environment conscious, educators on marine life, and helpful in the water and on the boat.

Had an amazing 2 week experience at the Southern Cross Club last November. The staff are friendly and very welcoming! To say that my visit exceeded expectations is an understatement. I am not a diver but went out to snorkel with friends that were diving. Mike and his dive instructors gave a very detailed explanation of what could be seen on the dive. I must admit that while snorkeling I was able to see almost as much as the divers…. Truly a wonderful experience! The staff is willing to take you to nearby beaches to snorkel and they provided us with a cooler of refreshments. I really enjoyed the “laid back feeling” of the Club. We took time to bike, kayak, lay in the hammocks, soak in the pool, and just relax. You never need to worry about eating as Anu and his staff create marvelous dishes. We can’t wait to return…. Nancy, Kristie, Vickie, and Kayla 😊

We came here for dinner (we stayed elsewhere) for one of their Friday pasta nights/buffet, so this review is only for dinner. It was wonderful! The service was fantastic and the food was delicious. They had a lot of choices in terms of veggies, meats (fish, beef meatballs, chicken meatballs, sausage), pasta types, and sauces (Alfredo, marinara, vodka, pesto). Everyone was so kind and accommodating, especially to the kids. Highly recommend! I wish we could come here again for dinner and experience a non-pasta night too. Reservations are recommended. Dinner seating is from 7-8pm.

One of the best vacations I've ever taken. The staff were so friendly and booking was so easy with Jens help figuring out what was best for our group. A few of us are big foodies and to say we were impressed by the food is a serious understatement! The dive masters were a big part of our trip and took us to aome of the most beautiful spots and taught us so much about the marine life and terrain. The rooms were so clean and comfortable and of course Little is just amazing on its own. Our group are already planning the next trip .

Me and my mother visited Little Cayman for the day and decided to have lunch for two here. They had an open buffet style and the staff were very welcoming. The price for two was reasonable and the food was good. They have a healthy variety of food there to choose from. We stayed here almost two hours after we were finished, we even fell asleep they had no problem and even came over to offer us anything we needed. I would like to go back here to stay at the actual resort soon.

Bob Soto's Reef, affectionately known as Cheeseburger Reef, is a hidden gem nestled right in the harbor of a bustling town. This stunning underwater paradise begins at just 10 feet deep and gracefully descends to depths of 30 feet and beyond. The reef features small islands that transition into mesmerizing underwater canyons with sandy bottoms, making it an ideal spot for snorkeling enthusiasts.
AKA cheeseburger reef. I walked from the cruise port to Burger King, walked over to the dive company building with the staircase, walked on the little beach back toward Burger King (all this in other review) and found the sandy spot. Snorkeled out to reef from here. I was on my own so I was nervous about it but it was fine and it was great. I waited until a few snorkel boats were out at the reef so I wasn’t out there by myself. The dive boats left and I felt more comfortable going out through the moored boats. Big tarpon just off the beach and really beautiful coral out past the small craft moorings. Just use the snorkel tour boats for a reference of where to swim out to. Great free snorkel. As other reviewer stated, it’s for more experienced swimmers/snorkelers.

AKA Cheeseburger Reef. Park in the lot across from Lobster Pot. Find your way to the water using the concrete stairs attached to the south side of Lobster Pot Dive Center. Walk 75 feet south along the sand towards Burger King, to a shallow entry area surrounded by ironshore. Upon entering, you'll see large tarpon suspended in 10 feet of water in the immediate marina area. To reach the abundant reef, you need to be comfortable swimming out 300 yards, past the mooring buoys - but it's well worth it. The reef is very mature and expansive, with high towers of coral, populated with a wide array of reef fish. We snorkeled this reef three times, was in our top 2 reefs explored and is a must do for avid, adventurous snorkelers.

Hard to get to. Don't go to the public beach nearby for access!! First rude people I've encountered in GC. Condition of the coral here is heartbreaking... Everything is dead. Trash all along the reef as well. Shame on Kimpton! Despite all that, there were some really fun fish to swim with.
