Pamplona Catedral Hotel is a luxurious accommodation housed in a 19th-century convent, offering an elegant restaurant and a trendy bar. The hotel's staff provides exceptional service, offering valuable recommendations and ensuring guests feel like royalty. Situated in the heart of the old town, it offers easy access to various attractions within walking distance. The hotel seamlessly blends modernity with its historic past, featuring sleek rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the city.
We stayed here for 8 nights and had a lovely experience. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke English very well which we appreciated given our limited Spanish. The valet service included in parking was great as well. The only downside was no on-site laundry, but we found a laundromat only a few minutes away that met our needs perfectly. The location is very convenient to the center of Old Town Pamplona and all of the tourist sites are easy walks. There is also a small grocery store very close by, but be aware that the in-room refrigerator is very small.

Dear Duty Manager, I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with my recent stay at your hotel, which has regrettably concluded with my early departure and relocation to the Gran Hotel La Perla. Staff and Service Issues: The reception staff demonstrated a consistent lack of professionalism and helpfulness throughout my stay. I observed a marked difference in their demeanor when assisting Spanish-speaking guests versus others, which is unacceptable in any hospitality establishment. Every reasonable request I made was met with responses such as “we can’t do that,” “no sorry,” or worse, false information and blank stares. This is not the service standard one expects from a property charging rates comparable to a Hyatt Regency or Mandarin Oriental. Dining Experience: The in-room dining hours are woefully inadequate, and the menu offerings were utterly tasteless. The hotel restaurant was shameful in its execution. For context, the Auberge in Zubiri where I dined yesterday delivered an experience approaching Michelin-star quality - a stark and embarrassing contrast to your establishment. Room Conditions: The room itself was substandard in multiple respects: • Overly starched, uncomfortable linens • No air conditioning or adequate cooling system • Dirty bathroom upon arrival • Television remote control held together with tape • An antiquated television with no modern connectivity options (no screen sharing capability) • Insufficient pillows (which I had to specifically request) • Intrusive lighting from the pool area that illuminated my room to an unbearable degree throughout the evening Value Proposition: Your hotel charges premium rates that match genuinely luxury properties, yet delivers a 4-star experience at best - and frankly, even that rating feels generous given my experience. This represents exceptionally poor value and, quite frankly, misleading positioning in the market. Management Perspective: I must address what appears to be a fundamental misunderstanding by your management team: not all Camino pilgrims stay in hostels. Many of us, myself included, regularly patronize 5-star establishments for respite during our journey. We are experienced travelers who frequently review accommodations, dining, and travel services. Your assumption that pilgrims represent a lower-tier clientele is both incorrect and insulting. Resolution: I have absorbed the cancellation fees and relocated to the Gran Hotel La Perla, where I should have trusted my instincts to book initially. I hope by posting a detailed review on Google will assist other travelers in my position be forewarned. They deserve to know they should either continue walking or stay at the superior property across the plaza. I expect no response to this complaint, as my experience suggests it would likely be another “we can’t do that.” However, I sincerely hope you will use this feedback to reassess your service standards, facility maintenance, and approach to guest relations. Regards, P.

Could be a lovely place to stay with some simple changes. The location was great, although parking at the hotel expensive. We parked a little way from the hotel which allowed us to enjoy walking through Pamplona’s beautiful gardens. Our room was spacious, but no kettle. Fridge very small and didn’t work properly. Some of the staff very unfriendly. The lady who checked us in was clearly not having a good day or needs another job. Lovely drinks area but very unfriendly service. Thank goodness for Sylvia who was absolutely delightful and helpful.
Moyra R — Google review
Great place to stay in Pamplona, in the heart of the old city. Secure parking - height limit of 3m - so ideal for those travelling in small camper vans. Access to the parking is easy, just behind/below the swimming pool. Excellent service, helpful, knowledgeable staff. Good quality buffet breakfast - however there are many places nearby to eat too. Highly recommend this hotel.
Louis F — Google review
Really helpful and friendly staff. Very eclectic decor in our dark suite. For a suite in a boutique hotel it really lacked bathroom products. The TV was a really tiny one, screwed to the wall high up on the wall only watchable from the bed. It was totally unwatchable from the 2x chairs ( not even a sofa) in the the sparsely-furnished sitting area.
Christopher B — Google review
Could be a very nice hotel (given location, and quality of building) but let down by unfriendly and rude staff and items not working in our room (bar fridge and safe). Also parking at the hotel is expensive, and cheaper alternatives are a 20 min walk away.
Warrick C — Google review
Well located in the old town near the cathedral & main squares. Tricky to approach by car as Google map misplaced it by about 50m & we drove around a few times before getting help. The what3words location is: caked.changes.stews There was free valet parking as the car park is still being completed Friendly & helpful reception. The rooms were large, well equipped & clean. The only negative was the shower head whose output was rather hose like rather than fine jets. High quality breakfast buffet including orange segments, artisan breads & cheeses as well as bacon & eggs.
Stewart G — Google review
Great stay. Valet parking (I guess temporarily because the garage is under construction). Very friendly young lady at the reception. Good restaurant (we did not have breakfast), pet friendly,... If there's a remark to give: the 2 young ladies taking care of the restaurant should scan more the tables (look around more) to see if people want attention. More selling would have happened if they'd done so. But they surely were friendly too.

Hotel Tres Reyes is a top choice for those seeking accommodation in the heart of Pamplona. Situated near the Taconera Gardens, this upscale hotel offers a range of modern rooms catering to different needs. The property boasts a stunning garden with a seasonal pool, providing guests with an idyllic setting to unwind. With its elegant design and tranquil ambiance, Hotel Tres Reyes stands out as one of the finest hotels in Pamplona.
Very clean and comfortable accommodation. Fantastic breakfast, variety of foods. Was with a tour group. Dinner provided for large group, was delicious. Wish we could have stayed longer, recommend. Great location, not far from old city and shops, bars etc. Very clean and pretty city.

Excellent standard hotel located very centrally for walking to all sights and meetings. I was on executive floor and rooms were very comfortable. Only downside I found was that sound proofing was not up to level you could expect Breakfast is good.
Alasdair R — Google review
This was by far one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in! Service was amazing and even if my Spanish was very minimal there were plenty of people that could still converse with and give me the information needed. It is placed in a good location to where if you wanted to walk around Pamplona it was very easy to do so. Everything was within walking distance for all shops and restaurants. I got there for the last two days of the festival (which was awesome) so it was very crowded and parking was a little bit of an issue but they were able to get me a spot the very next day! If you are wanting to visit Pamplona I highly recommend this hotel!
Peter B — Google review
This hotel is such a lovely getaway place to spend good moments with your spouse. Romantic and cozy. The breakfast is so good and they offer room service for dinner or lunch as you wish.
Charity E — Google review
The hotel is in a good location, near the old town. Too bad the parking is not accessible by elevator. With luggage you have to go around outside. We booked the hotel via Booking, where it is mentioned that the swimming pool is seasonal. When we wanted to use this facility, the swimming pool was not open (mid-June, 30 degrees!). Apparently the swimming pool opens on June 26. The staff was clearly aware of this scam. At the time of booking this could not be found anywhere, now it is... the staff admits to having had this discussion before. After discussion, and request for refund, free breakfast was offered. The parking (19€) is rather expensive. The hotel appears to be outdated: air conditioning makes a lot of noise and does not cool as expected. The bathroom is unkempt. The bedside tables had stains and one was crooked. The curtains were not blackout. No free water and coffee facilities in the room. The breakfast is ok.
Lowie H — Google review
Great location but totally inadequate elevators for so many rooms. They have 2 tiny 4-person (without luggage) elevators serving many floors. They only hold 2 people with luggage. The breakfast buffet can be a challenge with so many guests. Rather than having large warming trays they seem to ration out things like bacon, sausage and scrambled eggs…they put out about 8 “shot glasses” of eggs at a time. Strangest thing ever.
Dave T — Google review
Nice hotel in Central Location, with friendly staff and Parking right outside (paid). Very limited vegan or vegetarian options which is very disappointing in 2025 for a hotel that’s claiming to put its customers first. For this reason and this reason only I’m marking it down.

Hotel Maisonnave is a stylish 19th-century boutique hotel located in the heart of Pamplona. It offers personalized service and a quiet atmosphere, ensuring a good night's sleep. The upper floor rooms provide stunning views of the distant mountains and rooftops. The hotel is conveniently situated near the Running of the Bulls route and various dining options. Guests can enjoy amenities such as a fitness room, sauna, and free Wi-Fi access.
Very nice hotel. The location couldn't be better for exploring the old town. Rooms comfortable with very hot water / shower. The bar is very is very nice indeed, and popular with locals although it does close rather early. We opted not to use the underground parking at €18 a day (I spent that money on food and drinks instead! A much better idea.)
Adam D — Google review
Wonderful spot! Such a great stay while doing El Camino. The breakfast is a little overpriced, but the room is so comfortable and clean and the sauna was an incredible bonus. The staff were super helpful. Highly recommend!
Kiera M — Google review
The location is perfect! Walkable to restaurants, cafes, boutiques, shopping; in the town center; very near the hotel's parking garage; safe; very comfortable bed, A/C, clean, restaurant/bar on site; the staff at desk & at restaurant are all very friendly & helpful (was able to drive up to the hotel door, check -in & get registered to park in their safe, hotel garage parking about 18 euro/day). I recommend this hotel & plan to return for a longer visit.
Loriann M — Google review
We stayed during San Fermin, it was in a great location for the bull run and for the festivities. Maybe a bit loud at night due to the singing and dancing in the streets but closing the window provided peace, and they also supplied earplugs. It is to be expected though during the festival.
Jack W — Google review
Excellent staff on reception , who all contributed to a lovely 2 night stay while beginning our annual Camino walk . During a very busy time for them . I would recommend this hotel to pilgrims on Camino way. Right in the centre of Pamplona .
Tony D — Google review
Amazing service. Iberia had lost our bags and the front desk went out of their way to track them down and get them there safely during San Fermin.
John Z — Google review
Great location, parking down the street in a garage, great AC in the rooms and in their nice bar.
Beth B — Google review
Not loving it here. We were booked here by Raw as part of our Camino pilgrimage. Our room looks out on a dingy courtyard and it sounds like there is a hammer drill next door, the lift. We needed rest, this is hell. Why?!

Hotel
NH Pamplona Iruña Park is a straightforward hotel located in the San Juan neighborhood, around 2.5 km from the old town. The reception experience varies, but the rooms are generally spacious and clean with available parking and breakfast on-site. The restaurant offers a diverse menu, although it may not cater extensively to vegan preferences. Guests appreciate the warm and clean rooms, as well as the convenient location near El Sadar Stadium and the airport.
Had a wonderful stay here with my family. The room was spacious, and the location super convenient. As a cherry on top, I accidentally left my iPad behind—and they kept it safe for me. Truly a trustworthy hotel. Big thanks to all the staff for your honesty and care!
Papanging — Google review
Lovely hotel, I stayed last year and was happy. This time all looked good until I was brushing my teeth and spotted a lot of pieces of cut hair behind and around the sink. Obviously not cleaned properly and quite disgusting.
Frankie S — Google review
What further can I add? A great room for the price we paid for a single night layover on our way to France. Hotel rooms are accessed through 3 x elevators, so there was no uncomfortable waiting periods for the lifts. We had an adjoining family room, which was spacious for three people. Our daughter practically had her own room with TV! The recently renovated shared bathroom was expansive and well adorned with modern features. 1 x stand alone shower cubical, with a separate bathtub with added shower head unit alongside. The best feature was a large heated bathroom mirror. The room was well furnished with all the modern conveniences, air-con, coffee facilities and room safe and free wifi (fast). Bedroom mattresses were firm and to our liking as were the pillows. Our room, and the hotel in general were on point and spotlessly clean. Welcoming bilingual reception staff and secure parking not 10 meters from the hotel forecourt. The hotel is close to restaurants and cafes in a safe neighbourhood.
Kent P — Google review
The hotel offers spacious, clean, and quiet rooms, which made for a comfortable experience. However, some of the furnishings and flooring show signs of wear and tear, which slightly detracts from the overall impression. Breakfast was fresh and enjoyable, with a good variety to start the day right. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which added a warm touch to the experience. One thing to keep in mind: parking is available but not complimentary.
Erwin W — Google review
NH hotels are always a good standard but sometimes have strange rules. However this hotel was a joy to stay in. A hotel car park in Spain that has spaces that actually doesn't try to pack cars in like "sardines in a tin" is unique. The breakfast service was attentive with a good selection of food welcomed by a professional and genial maître d'. A very nice atmosphere throughout and a pleasant walk to the down town.
Touring T — Google review
Snagged a suite for a night while heading to the north coast. Classic NH quality and service. To be honest it's 20m to the old town which can be a stretch in the rain. If you have a car it's easy in and easy out. Recommend as a base to explore.
William ( — Google review
It is a lovely hotel, modern, great beds and a good shower. The parking was easy to find and not expensive . It’s not close to the city centre but the taxi ride is quick and less than €10. We enjoyed our stay staff were helpful too.

Hotel Albret is a laid-back four-star property located just a few minutes' walk from the charming streets of Pamplona's old town. The on-site restaurant serves local cuisine, providing a convenient dining option. The hotel's vintage touch and rustic brick exterior add to its charm, while the comfortable guest rooms are designed for casual comfort.
Exceptional Service and Thoughtfulness We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Albert, and their customer service truly went above and beyond. During our visit, my father accidentally left his glasses behind at the hotel. When we realized this after returning home, we reached out to the staff, and they were incredibly helpful. Not only did they find the glasses, but they also arranged to have them sent back to us quickly and efficiently. This level of care and attention made us feel valued and well looked after, and it truly set Hotel Albert apart. The staff were friendly and professional throughout our stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. Thank you, Hotel Albert, for making our stay and the aftermath stress-free!
Peter N — Google review
This hotel y far from downtown but it has few restaurants nearby. The room does not have closet so you cannot hang your clothes. Breakfast is good with fresh orange juice and decent bakery.
Rutas A — Google review
Very clean room, efficient staff. Excellent cafe. Rooms are well lit, spacious and quiet. The shower was weak, hung on a side of the bath and pointed to the wall. The walk to the city centre is long, and Pamplona's taxis are notoriously hard to get. The car park has a flawed entry (see photo), meaning that longer cars will invariably scrape. When prompted about this, staff paid no interest. They must fix this or else face claims from people's insurances. Apart from the car park, it is a recommendable hotel.
Eduardo A — Google review
We stayed at this hotel while my husband was being treated at the Clinique Universidad de Navarra. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. The rooms were clean and the buffet breakfast was more than adequate. There was parking at the hotel with an elevator which was important for our needs. The laundry was next day delivery, and room service was always very quick, and the food was good. It was in a very convenient location for our appointments at the hospital, being less than a 10 minute walk. There are pharmacies, shops, cafés, and restaurants nearby within walking distance. We even walked into the old part of town a couple of times. That was a 30 minute walk, but still very doable. All in all, it was extremely practical for our stay. We would be happy to stay there again for future appointments at the hospital.

Hotel Yoldi Pamplona-Iruñea is a modern hotel with a 1960s charm, offering comfortable rooms equipped with free Wi-Fi. The relaxed restaurant and bar serve delicious tapas. The hotel is pet-friendly, allowing up to two dogs per room and even accommodating potentially dangerous breeds with the necessary safety measures.
We are walking the Camino Francis and stayed 2 nights at Hotel Yoldi Pamplona. It was excellent, comfortable, and exactly what we needed. Pablo at the front desk consistantly went over and above to assist us in any way. A wonderful gentleman who also informed us about the city. The rest of the staff were equally helpful, friendly and kind. Food was great as well.
Gerard W — Google review
A reasonable hotel in a very practical location with very friendly staff. Our twin room was incredibly spacious and comfortable – I think we were lucky to get a corner one which seemed bigger than normal. The only minor downside was the policy of having to leave your key at reception every time you go out, but even so, we would definitely stay here again.
Petr V — Google review
Amazing little gem right in the middle of town. Spotless-clean-fresh rooms. Easy access to anything, close by to all the shops and sights to see. REALLY nice staff - especially the nice ladies at breakfast asking you what coffee you would like. Definitely would go back again, Definitely have a stay here if you are searching

Staff is totally kind and sweet apart from helping with extraordinary cultural, gastronomic, etc. recommendations. Different langauges spoken to nicely welcoming guests. Always available to help in any way. Food at the restaurant was really delicious and with a vast range of variety. Location is just perfect for the visits around. Rooms, bed, bathroom… nicely cleaned and absolutely comfortable.

This hotel had great service and was really clean. The staff were all very great and they welcomed my dog. Even when my dog got a little out of hand of they were very nice about it. The breakfast buffet was totally worth the money. Although I didn't eat there, the evening bar and restaurant looked quite good as well. It is in a great location with lots of shopping available and only a short distance to the historic centre of Pamplona.

Wonderful front man who charmed us with his knowledge and pride of his hotel and city. Excellent coffee, service in bar at night sketchy. Had to clear the last patrons dishes and order at the bar after waiting long enough. Great room and space. Great location. I would definitely stay again, not eat

Excellent boutique hotel. Quiet, comfortable sleep and fantastic service. Accommodated a very early check-in and were helpful the entire time. This hotel is located just outside the main old town tourist section, but only about a five minute walk away from everything.

Hotel Avenida in Pamplona is a laid-back hotel with understated rooms and a polished Japanese restaurant. It's centrally located, within walking distance of historic monuments and pretty parks. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi throughout and spacious, cheerful bedrooms. Situated in the commercial and business center, it's just a few meters from the historical center, congress center, and Navarra Auditorium. The hotel provides convenient access for business travelers. Additionally, they offer a WhatsApp service for late check-ins.
Perfectly good hotel in Central Pamplona close to bus station. Slightly odd check in system online but it worked. The room was small but perfectly comfortable beds and clean bathroom. Plenty of convenient plugs which most hotels don't do. Overall recommended. Service only 4* because we barely saw them or needed them but the receptionist we met was very charming.
Jo S — Google review
You can’t beat this location, steps away from the old town area. The hotel was totally fine and definitely basic. Rooms are small, that’s normal for Europe. the shower was excellent. We liked having a balcony to step out onto and get fresh air. The two person lift was helpful since otherwise we had to walk up 4 flights. However the walls are a bit thin and we heard neighbors conversations pretty clearly. There was water damage in various corners of the room and bathroom. It felt like the hotel was either about to be renovated or was in progress of renovations. The lobby attendant had a temporary rolling desk and no chair, and the lobby was not very welcoming. Functional but not decorated attractively. The parking is around the corner in a neighboring garage you have to manually open and close the doors. There is no electric charging in the garage. I might stay here again for a last minute booking but it feels like there are probably comparable places to stay for that quality if you book a little more in advance.
Becky N — Google review
Rooms: refurbished very well, the beds were comfortable, but there was a smell of tobacco and a leak in the bathroom Service: did not help to book us parking by staying a couple of minutes past their set time for this, when the first card did not work Place: walking distance to the old town
D K — Google review
Wow. Does this place have issues. I have been on a two-month European tour, and this is the first negative review I've posted. The room is adequate and has been updated, so I'll give it that. Still below an Ibis Budget, but it's an older building. But the rest of the property is run down and dirty. Stained carpets and walls, etc. It is right on a busy street with no ability to park in front nor anywhere around the hotel. When I say nowhere to park, I am not kidding. The lane in front of the hotel is active and curbed all the way down the block. You can see the entrance to the hotel as you drive by, though. I had to circle around a four-block radius to find my way to a back street and park illegally while I checked in. OK, fine. But that should be noted; and, if it is, my bad. The front desk woman is of little use. The system is all about giving you the information via WhatsApp, so she's put out if you knock on the office door. My door code didn't work the first time, and I didn't appreciate the attitude as if I didn't know how to key in a number. The neighborhood is an industrial zone, but I did find two good restaurants not too far away (Alhambra & Maira). I strongly recommend Maira. But what is most annoying is the lack of internet. Oh, they say they have WiFi, but it won't connect any of your devices to the internet. I'm having to use my phone's hotspot. That's unacceptable these days. It's 3pm and I just feel like going to bed and getting up and out of here before the sun's up.

Had a confirmed booking for almost three months before this hotel canceled my room a week before I was supposed to arrive. Because it’s during a festival, there are little options to choose from, so I had to end up canceling the trip and take a big loss on train tickets I had purchased to get there. They did offer to put me in another hotel, but it was over four miles outside of the city center and cost almost $100 less than I’d paid for this room. Who was keeping that money? Because it’s so busy, I didn’t want to risk not being able to get into the city, so I turned this offer down. If they over booked, I’d like to know why they waited until a week before to cancel. They had three months to figure out this mistake. Ridiculous. I’d give negative stars if possible. I don’t see how they can charge you for canceling, but have no repercussions canceling on you whenever they want to. Terrible.

Reception not the greatest. Only manned certain hours, including phone. Reception area under construction. Have to carry luggage up one flight of stairs to access elevator. No room keys, they email an access code to you. Once we got into room it was pretty good. Neighbors were noisy . Noisy traffic starts about 6 or 7.
Doug G — Google review
Totally overpriced. Cigarette butts in paper cups on the balcony. Tiny tiny room. Panels torn out of the wall. Mold in the shower. Very noisy. Nobody picked up the phone when we tried to call. Could not check in when we arrived, as the siesta was still on.... What??

Have been using this hotel for many years now. It's always been clean and modern. Their prices have risen over the years and I think it's time we started to look at others. Don't get me wrong. It's location is perfect for the attractions in the centre of town but for Spanish hotels it's starting to get expensive.

The hotel is conveniently situated near Plaza de Castillo and the bullring, allowing easy access to major attractions within walking distance. Despite its central location, the hotel provides a quiet and peaceful environment with soundproof interiors. Guests can enjoy a delightful dining experience at the acclaimed restaurant with a Michelin star.
Central hotel with clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Kettle, fridge and safe. Rooms were cold when we arrived but staff immediately provided heating which was very effective. Great breakfast.

Central location right by the Plaza de Castillo where activities and eateries congregate. Good and varied breakfast with white table cloth. Cozy peach marble bathroom with a tub

Great place to stay right in the city center with a comfortable paid parking option available in a nearby garage. I would appreciate some poultry ham for breakfast, but other than that all was great, even some gluten-free options were available. Our room had a comfortable bed, great WiFi connection and was very quiet too which I enjoyed being in the center. The only thing I would change are the plastic cups for tea/coffee in the room. As I was working from there, I asked and borrowed the ceramic ones from the restaurant though. Can recommend to anyone visiting Pamplona!

I wish I had stayed a few more nights here, really enjoyed my stay. Staff were nice and their breakfast was not too bad either. The room was warm and comfortable. They have lifts but there are stairs up to the front desk from the street. There’s not that many of them or as steep as some of the comments are saying. Mild inconvenience if you have lots of luggage. Great location too and they had a kettle in the room which was very much appreciated.

Pros: The hotel is in the heart of Pamplona, on the edge of the pedestrian area. The room was very nice, not very spacious, but perfect for one night. The staff was very friendly and helpful, with excellent English skills. The bathroom was well-equipped and clean. Cons: Even with a good sound-proofing window, You can hear the noise of the people from the nearby restaurants and bars. It was not annoying after a full day of sightseeing, but you have to consider it if you would like a quiet room.

We really liked our stay here, we booked it last minute while travelling back home for one night only. The location is just perfect, the staff is super friendly, but the thing I will remember most from this hotel is the excellent scrabble eggs for the breakfast - just perfectly made😋 The only annoying thing was the double bed we had in the room which was basically the two twin beds on wheels xD

Please ignore the rest of bad reviews. I was not sure if I want to be here after reading the reviews. However when I came here it’s perfect. The new host just owned it two months ago and he was a very friendly and nice guy. The room is tidy and shower was very hot. 👍👍👍Also the price is very cheap. If you come for Camino I would highly recommend you this place.

The Camino hotel that met us was a very rundown building, without reception. After spending 20 minutes struggling with a check-in machine that kept restarting the payment process over and over, we went to our room. The room hadn’t been cleaned properly; the floor was full of hair, dust and dirt, as well as the bathroom and its bathtub. The worst part though, was the bed and the bedsheets; Hair all over, and stains in different sizes and shades of beige to brown. As it was already late when we arrived, so we had no choice but to go searching for clean sheets in the hotel, which we luckily found. We spoke to an employee on the phone about it, and the next day she was supposed to send someone to clean the room, instead we returned to find that the bed had been made. Nothing had been cleaned. For 70 euro a night, one would at least expect a clean bed.

(Translated by Google) We arrived at the hotel and one of the rooms was not ready until quite late. We started to shower in one of the bathrooms and the shower did not draw water. Upon entering the room it smelled very strongly of tobacco, the smell of the sheets and towels was unbearable. In addition, the walls were full of stains and holes. We called the reception phone and they told us that they couldn't change our room or come help us. The noise at night from the street is unbearable, we closed the balcony door and we didn't have a fan, so we haven't slept all night amid the heat and noise. The fire alarm was off as seen in the photo. Welcoming Apart. Old Town Pamplona is a charming house located in the heart of Pamplona's Old Town, offering accommodation for up to seven people. The property features two spacious balconies providing views of the bustling main street and includes a cozy office space that can double as an extra sleeping area. While lacking internet access, it boasts a fully equipped kitchen and essential amenities.
We traveled from the United States and arrived in Pamplona to kick off 3 weeks of travel around Spain. Getting to the apartment was easy and quick. As you can imagine, by the time we got to the apartment we were exhausted. The apartment was clean and safe, and had amazing views off the patio. The beds were comfortable and easily fit a family of 5. The owner was super helpful and went out of his way to be supportive. The kitchen was large and fit all of our needs as we used it to save on eating out. This apartment is a 10/10. If visiting Pamplona, and are in need of an apartment, this is a must.

The bar serves typical pintxos and raciones dishes, providing a nice casual atmosphere for guests to enjoy. With 24 air-conditioned guestrooms, this inn is an excellent choice for travelers, including pilgrims on The Way, as it offers convenience and comfort.
I usually stay in a different part of Pamplona and am so glad I decided to stay here. Fewer pilgrims, more locals, great neighborhood. Rooms here were basic, but very clean and well cared for. No problems at all. 24 door code and no keys to lose were a real bonus. Bar downstairs was a nice addition to my stay. I will be back next Camino!

No service, all goes by code, rooms ok but the shower is not well built the water goes out, location perfect. But we booked it by booking and the pictures were much nicer that what we got... the entrance is still under construction, no lift, no recepction, no bar as it shows in the pictures... very disappointing.
Sara B — Google review
We arrived and the rooms place was under refurbishment. So we could not leave the MTB and they told us to put in the room, then the room that are nice but not good, were noisy because the are in the heart of Pamplona, plenty of tapas bar so we could not sleep due to that noisy atmosphere. The breakfast was in another hotel and was simply OK for 8 euros. If you are doing camini the location is great but noisy. The shower has almost no pressure.

Decent Hostel to stay in Pamplona. Very central location and rooms in good relation to price. You feel that the rooms have been "lived" and might need some repairs. Nevertheless the rooms are quiet despite the noise on the mainstreet outside full of pintxo bars. overall good place to stay.

**Do Not Stay Here – Misleading Listing ** I would strongly advise against booking this hotel. When we made our reservation, there was no clear warning that the entire property would be under heavy construction during our stay. The dust and state of the place completely ruined the experience. Our room was not clean - there was hair on the floor, the room was covered in construction dust, and the “view” out our window was nothing but old ductwork and scaffolding. It felt like we were staying inside a renovation zone, not a hotel. When we raised our concerns and requested even a partial refund due to the conditions and lack of transparency, the hotel refused to acknowledge our concerns or offer any compensation. Save yourself the trouble — **do not stay here**.
Bianca C — Google review
There is a staffed reception, and they tiok me to my room, which was across the street, and showed me how the codes worked. The room was fine. Despite being on an excellent busy street the room was quiet at night and I slept very well. I had been apprehensive about staying here because it seemed so cheap, but it was excellent.

Cathedral
The Catedral Metropolitana de Santa María la Real de Pamplona is a must-see 15th-century church with a neoclassical facade and late-medieval Gothic interior. It replaced an older Romanesque temple and features an impressive cloister and the alabaster tomb of Carlos III, ruler of Navarre in the 1400s.
The Catedral Metropolitana de Santa María la Real de Pamplona is not only a stunning Gothic cathedral in Spain but also a place filled with fascinating history and mysteries. One of the most intriguing stories linked to the cathedral is about its hidden crypt and the tomb of King Charles III of Navarre and his wife, Eleanor of Castile. King Charles III of Navarre, also known as Charles the Noble, ruled in the late 14th and early 15th centuries. Unlike many medieval monarchs who sought military conquests, Charles was a reformer and peacemaker. His reign brought stability to Navarre, and he commissioned the reconstruction of Pamplona’s cathedral, giving it the grand Gothic façade that still stands today. However, what makes his story eerie is the legend surrounding his tomb inside the cathedral. His sarcophagus, a stunning piece of medieval funerary art, shows the king and his wife lying in eternal repose, their hands gently clasped together—a rare depiction of love and unity in royal burials. Locals whisper that on certain nights, when the cathedral is quiet, the sound of faint murmuring can be heard near the tomb. Some say it is the spirits of Charles and Eleanor still conversing, watching over their kingdom even in death. Others believe it is the echo of monks who once prayed continuously for the souls of the royal couple. Adding to the mystery, beneath the cathedral lies a crypt that remained sealed for centuries. When it was finally explored, historians discovered human remains, ancient artifacts, and what appeared to be a forgotten section of the medieval church. Some even believe that secret passages exist, leading to hidden treasures or lost relics of Navarre’s past. Whether the whispers are real or simply an effect of the cathedral’s acoustics, the Catedral de Pamplona remains a place where history and legend blend seamlessly. Would you dare to visit the tomb at night and listen for the voices of the past?
Zoran J — Google review
A site that’s worth a visit. For €5 you can enter the massive cathedral. The outside of this magnificent building is boring compared to others, but on the inside the many richly decorated alters are really worth a visit. One remark: the explanation of the alters is quite short. We’ve preferred a more elaborate explanation. Perhaps with qr code, or more text. But even without the elaborate explanation, it’s a beautiful place to visit! Even on a hot day the cathedral is fresh,

This was a pleasant surprise for an impromptu visit. At first I was surprised that they were charging 5 euros to enter the church. By the time I left, I was surprised they were only charging 5 euros. There are some really beautiful and interesting nooks and crannies to explore within the church-museum.

We stayed here during the San Fermin festival. Parking situation was a little confusing, but the check-in process was quick and easy. The room was clean, quiet and modern. We intentionally stayed here because it was not in the middle of the festivities, but close enough that we could walk to (about a mile or 1.7 km) or shuttle. Turns out we made the right decision. The festival area was very crowded. Staying just on the outskirts of the chaos was the best decision. Area around the hotel was clean and quiet. Hotel offered breakfast, which was a big plus. Perfect for what we needed and would recommend staying here, whether for the festival or to explore the rest of Pamplona.

Great four star hotel. Located in the modern part of the city, but not far at all from the Citadel and the medieval city. It's a very convenient location. Nice and cozy rooms, with all the comforts, although not large. Very kind service. Internal restaurant. Many alternatives to eat and drink outside in the immediate surroundings.

Its a basic business hotel. The rooms were clean but amenities or details could be better like not havig plastic cups, plastic garbage can & plastic seat in the bathroom. That made it feel like a cheap hotel. The service was good. The breakfast was good & it had parking.

Such a good hotel in terms of quality-price. If you need or have a relative that is in the hospital next door, this is where you want to stay. The restaurant is delicious too, and the rooms have everything you need. I am very impressed by the quality all-around of this hotel, more hotels could learn of an establishment like this one. Consider getting breakfast or dinner at the restaurant you won't regret it!

Not giving 5/5 because there is still room for improvement in the following areas: toilet paper is cheap & bad quality, internet signal is coming and going and generally speaking too bad as well. Otherwise, a fantastic hotel, amazing food, great-kind-and always available staff. Definitely a place to go if you pass by Pamplona. For the hotel managers: for the price we pay a far better internet network should be provided as well as better toilet paper. Thanks to all the staff, you are amazing.

It has a great staff who takes their work with guests, especially those being treated at the nearby hospitals and clinics, very seriously, really at a human level. The menu of the day at the restaurant Doña Blanca is varied and gourmet quality- true value for money- and Juan the maître d' is always knowledgable and helpful, not just about food , but anything relating to Navarra, etc. Rooms and facilities are normal,"business nice" I might say. Again, the staff are what make this hotel more like a home for me- whether at breakfast, the bar/café, at the reception, even the cleaning staff...

Alojamientos Olga is a relaxed hotel offering traditional rooms with TVs, sitting areas, and free Wi-Fi. Guests are warmly welcomed to this accommodation, which provides apartments with four rooms, shared bathrooms, and kitchens. The rooms allow for bringing in bicycles and have some ventilation through the kitchen windows and room doors. However, it can get a bit warm inside.
Stayed 5 nights in an excellent small apartment, very clean and quiet, with a private bathroom and a small balcony. Patricia was very pleasant and helpful at check in. Would definitely recommend this accommodation.

I am very happy staying here. This is a shared short stay apartment. This company has a number of properties in this neighbourhood. Mine was a three BR apartment nearby in the same block. I have my own room and share the bathroom and kitchen. During my stay, I never got to meet my flat mates and I think there was only one other person staying. It was very clean and quiet. The location is very good. City centre is 10 mins on the number 4 bus. I could have caught the number 7 from the train station but took a taxi instead. I can recommend.
Ed L — Google review
Service to check-in was very helpful. Very clean room with towels and comfortable bed. No AC, but a had a fan. Shared bathroom was clean and had shampoo. It is in a quiet location about a 30 minutes walk or 15 minutes bus to the center of Pamplona.

If you are looking for an affordable place to stay I recommend this one. Both my room and the shared bathroom were very clean, sheets and towels included. The staff was extremely friendly and even let me store my shoes with them for a week - thank you again very much for that! I give only four stars because check-in hours on Saturdays and especially on Sundays (open from 5 to 10pm only) might be a bit inconvenient and it would have been nice if I could have used the fridge in the kitchen (the kitchen was locked though). Otherwise highly recommended, great value for money.

We never got to stay in this apartment. We had a reservation made about six months in advance of our stay. I was travelling with my two older parents to stay in the apartments whilst visiting a family friend. When we arrived at the apartments the reception was closed. We spent some time trying to figure out how to deal with this before speaking with some other guests who had, apparently got a secondary email with some instructions to open the box containing the keys (via a code). We had got no such email, so these other guests advised we should contact the out of hours number provided as they could advise. I texted this number once just after 17h local time and the response within four minutes was that they had no reservation. I tried to call and get further with them but the calls were declined and further text messages were ignored. I made it clear in a message 17h 20m that we just wanted an answer, if they had somehow messed up their reservation system we would look somewhere else. In total we spent around two hours that evening (the weather wasn't bad, it was the start of May but it's a noisy road with a lot of traffic) sitting on the pavement outside the property whilst this message was ignored, eventually getting on the phone to the original provider for the booking and after a few dropped calls from them, they went through their three mandatory calls to the Apartments to get them to explain directly to the provider what was happening, with Expedia Group also seeing their calls refused and not answered, so Expedia did eventually step in and assume responsibility after clearing all their hurdles around 2h 30m later to get us a room for the night somewhere else. At 18h 34m we did get one message back just -re-affirming that they had no reservation, all very curt and seemingly just anxious to get rid of us. I ultimately would have had very little issue if the provider had just answered the phone and cleared things up or texted back in reasonable time, mistakes happen and perhaps they double booked themselves, it wasn't great as we all had to cram into a room somewhere else, but it would have been clear and actionable. As it was this was a long stressful evening spent on a roadside having calls refused or being placed on hold trying to sort out this double booking without any engagement from the Apartments. I cannot obviously in any way comment on the apartments and to do so would be completely unreasonable. I do however feel obliged to warn potential guests that there is no reception service apparently available any Sunday or Bank Holiday (it should be said this is contrary to the hours and instructions agreed via Expedia) and if you get into any sort of issue with the apartment, there is no recourse and you will simply be left to fend for yourself by the Apartments. I write very few reviews and appreciate that accommodation providers operate on low margins, but this is a case where I would want to suggest to those considering a stay to think very carefully about when they arrive and I would further suggest not just taking their original confirmation as, well, a confirmation, but following it up and emailing or texting the provider to get a secondary confirmation and instructions on arrival from them.

A nice place and location. The arrival/check-in process is confusing. Be sure to go to the main office, read the signs on the businesses. It’s a few doors down. The room was pleasant. The location was on a busy street so be careful if you have trouble sleeping.

I had a pleasant 4 weeks stay with Alojamientos Olga, only a few minutes to the centrum by bus and 3 minutes walk to CIMA. The rooms and appartment are very clean and cleaned every day by Fatma, who also became a good friend and helped me out in many ways. Thank you Fatma and Olga I´ll for sure look you up again if I come to Pamplona, which I would like to do someday.

We had a pleasant 4 night stay at Hostal Rodas. The rooms are well appointed and heated nicely. The staff were super friendly and helped us out whenever we needed it. We were originally in a smaller room but were moved to a larger one once it became available. This was a much appreciated gesture. The location is good, slightly away from the busy older part of town. Room was very clean and the Hostel very secure. Would recommend.

The room we got is dated, small but clean. It is not a hotel but an overpriced hostel. Bathroom has just hair, hand and body combo dispenser. Public Parking near by where you have to pay. Citadel of Pamplona, also known as the New Castle, is a pentagonal fortress built in the 16th century under the reign of Felipe II. The Italian military engineer Fratin was commissioned for its construction. Although originally pentagonal, only three bastions remain today. In the 18th century, it served as a prison for notable figures.
Beautiful space for a walk and surprisingly big as well. A definite hot-spot for dog walkers so watch where you're stepping on the grass. One area has chickens and different birds, They have birds as well if you can spot them. A great place to while away the afternoon or walk of some of the excellent local food.

Θοδωρής Γ — Google review
A truly amazing space; you can spend ages exploring its extensive network of fortifications, while the centre of the citadel has been made into an attractive park, which somehow enhances rather than distracts from the powerful impact of the fortifications - it’s great seeing an historic space finding a modern purpose. As with many of Pamplona’s parks, the space is dotted with sculptures, adding further interest. A “must visit” experience if you’re in Pamplona, even if you only have 15 minutes to walk through its centre. Indeed, since it’s next door to the bus station, it’s a good place to pass time if you’ve a wait for your bus. And it’s all free and open 24 hours a day!
George H — Google review
Enjoyed looking around this city. Ate at some great bars and enjoyed the pintxos. Be aware that shops will shut for a long lunch and everything quietens down. The citadel is worth a look as a lovely quiet place with lots of shade. Art exhibitions are there too - shut for lunch though!
Amanda S — Google review
It was built between 1571 and 1645 under the orders of Felipe II of Spain to defend Pamplona. The fortress was designed in the Renaissance military architectural style with a star-shaped layout, and each corner had defensive shelters. In 1685 and the early 18th century, its defense system was reinforced with an external crescent-shaped fortification. Today, the military function has disappeared, and the site has been transformed into a park, offering a space for locals and tourists to relax and enjoy. Visitors can also walk along the moat. Various cultural events and exhibitions are held both inside and outside the fortress. During the San Fermín festival, fireworks are displayed here.

Iglesia de San Saturnino is a 13th-century sanctuary with two towers, one of which boasts an iconic rooster-shaped weather vane. Located along the Camino de Santiago, this landmark holds historical significance as the site where San Fermin was baptized by San Saturnino. The church's construction reflects its defensive role during conflicts between neighboring boroughs in pre-city Pamplona.
Opening times are unclear. I tried 4 times but it was closed. The Church of San Saturnino was built in the 13-14th centuries in the Gothic style, as both a place of worship and a fortress, protecting one of the city's three boroughs during the medieval period. In 1222, the rival neighboring borough of San Nicolás destroyed the roof of San Saturnino. In 1276, during the war with the other borough of Navarrería, its two fortified towers were instrumental in its defense.

A beautiful church which is well preserved. It has quite a plain exterior but of entering the richness of the decoration is stunning. The wooden floor is unusual and quite noisy to walk on. There was a service happening and difficult to quietly wander around. There is such beauty in the unadorned stonework. The ribbed ceiling so astounding.

Excellent monument of medieval Navarese culture and architecture. Unfortunately majority original interiors we lost in result of several baroque reconstructions. Fortunately two Gothic chapels survived. There is excellent bas-relief of XIV century with mounted knight. Admission is free but any donation is welcomed and highly appreciated. Visitors are allowed to take non commercial photo without flash light.

This church has the original gothic worship area that has a porch along the street. Inside you see a larger addition that has a much more baroque sensibility, with the dichotomy being a bit overwhelming. The older part is more serene and definitely worth a look.

The "Togado de Pompelo" is an ancient bronze statue depicting a male figure dressed in a toga, a traditional Roman garment that symbolized citizenship and authority. What a great place to visit in Pamplona. This small, well laid out gallery/museum houses a combination of very interesting artefacts from the region, supplemented by artwork, up to contemporary pieces. Palacio de los Condes de Guenduláin is an 18th-century palace in Pamplona, known as a historical gem of civil architecture. (Translated by Google) Palace built in the 18th century, which constitutes one of the historical jewels of civil architecture in Pamplona. It was erected by Gaspar de Eslava y Monzón, Marquis of the Royal Defense, a title that was earned by his uncle for his defense of the city of Cartagena de Indias against the English during the Asiento War. In 2007, this magnificent building was restored in order to turn it into a four-star hotel (which was open until the pandemic hit). Unfortunately, this measure also led to the auction and dispersion abroad of a large part of the collection of art and historical furniture that was preserved in the palace, among which was a collection of tapestries from Antwerp depicting the life of Augustus or the bedroom of Queen María Cristina. The palace also housed in its hallway an impressive horse carriage from the late 18th century.

Good clean room, good breakfast, and staff were very helpful, Location was slightly outside the touristy area but still walkable to everywhere we wanted to see. I appreciated the lower price than other hotels inside downtown. I would stay here again.

Good little hotel. Rooms are clean and comfortable but quite small. Not much privacy - so pleased we decided to get an additional room for the 3 of us otherwise it would have been very cramped. Staff are very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was good with a small selection of hot food. Drinks were reasonably priced and the evening meals were good too. There is a Lidl supermarket within walking distance, buses into the city on the doorstep.

Food was not very good, meat was cold and dessert was a single yogurt cup. The bread was good, though. Rooms are perfectly fine, nothing to write home about.

A lovely clean hotel, small room but beautifully decorated and jacuzzi bath in bathroom. Very friendly staff. Restaurant very nice. Bars over the road. Only stayed 1 night as driving from Spain to UK.. Highly recommended.

Hygiene is perfect. Housekeeping is doing great job! As 4 star hotel they would need at least some activities for guests. Breakfast "not great, not terrible". To me it looks like they just stopped caring. Restaurant a la carte service is terrible.

When you go in a 4 star hotel, the least you can expect is no stinky smell in the room. HORRIBLE cigarette smell in the room, not romantic at all. Futhermore the staff did nothing to improve. Very bad hotel

Suited us very well, securely parked motorbikes just across the street. We could unload and load right infront of the reception area. The room although compact had a big bed excellent matress and also had a balcony area. Air con worked well. Each of the reception staff were excellent. The bus was very close by ideal to get into Pamplona. Maybe 10 minutes at €1.45 each way pp. The cost for us for 2 nights was very good Thank you.

Lovely welcoming hotel after a brutal days’ walking on the Camino! Special thank you to Maria, Alfonso and Anna for going above and beyond to make my 2 day stay so pleasant. Anna assisted with the nicest and best value places to eat out close by, and she was spot on. Maria and Alfonso were particularly kind with booking some accommodation ahead for me, and most understanding with my non - courageous approach at trying to speak some Spanish. Thank you to Izzy who looks after the rooms - she is so friendly, kind and does an amazing job. Everything is squeaky clean, tidy and comfortable. My bed is large and comfy, the towels are fluffy and new and the water is high pressure and hot. I recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

It is a two-star hotel and I just learnt that in two-star hotel is probably common not to have fridge, boiler, coffee/tea or a telephone. I was in a big group and the minimum number of staff seemed to manage our need very well. They are efficient and friendly. The location is very good - close the bus stop (4 stops to the Old town), and there are plenty of supermarkets, cafes and restaurants nearby.

The hotel staff was amazing! We stayed during Sanfermines and they were very helpful, answering questions, making everyone's stay the best possible. The only things that kept me from fully enjoying my stay: The gentleman that runs the cafeteria/bar has a horrible attitude; the desk clerk even apologized for him at one point. Two of us were there for breakfast our 1st morning. We ordered 2 continental breakfasts and we had to ask 3 times for the 2nd person's coffee. (3 times after the full meal had been served) Also, while the housekeeping services were thorough, they don't take, "No," for an answer. Several times we told them we didn't need/want any cleaning, they would come back 2-3 times. Not usually the biggest inconvenience, but a little tedious if you're trying to sleep later.

Very good location. Stayed in private 3 bed room with a view of the church. Shared bathroom super clean. Nice and quiet inside the hostel and friendly people. Also had newspaper for our wet boots! Would stay here again

The location is second to none. The rooms are rather compact, but all beds have their own charging socket and light. The showers and bathroom are decent. The laundry service is brilliant, they do it for you. A nice open kitchen area with free tea & coffee. And the location is second to none. You are literally a few metres opposite the Cathedral. The cafe opposite to the right is reasonably priced and offers some lovely lunchtime food. The price for such a location is unbelievable.

The service was great, the dorm I was assigned to in the basement was not great. Even so I had a good night sleep thanks to my eye mask and ear plugs. The beds were comfortable though.
Ximena B — Google review
+) Their sarcastic response is really the worst. Fix it to 1 star. The hostel said the locker was working, but my locker wasn't locked, and I left my bag outside. The ants found it as soon as I arrived, and I found a lot in the lobby this morning. If this happens often, the hostel needs to take action. Also, I said I found my socks on my own. I didn't call. I didn't read the reviews properly and was disappointed with the very bad attitude It was not a great experience. Locker was broken, there were tons of ants just right next to my bed( they cleaned after i told but it looks like the hostel is not managing well), room was cold, they turned back only one sock from laundry and i find it back by myself from dryer. People were noisy at the lobby late at night, and there was nobody handled these things. Otherwise, the location is perfect.
Sohee * — Google review
The accommodation stands out for its excellent location – right on the Camino de Santiago, in the historic old town, and next to the cathedral. Perfect for pilgrims and city travelers alike. The layout is well thought out, and the shared spaces, especially the kitchen, are functional and inviting. Access via door code is convenient and hassle-free. However, there are a few downsides: There is only one bathroom, which can lead to waiting times when the place is full. The shower room has no window, making ventilation difficult. The bunk beds are quite shaky and could use more stability. During summer it gets very hot inside – even with the windows open, there is no air conditioning, which makes sleeping uncomfortable in warm weather. Overall: A well-located and practical place to stay with good common areas, though there is room for improvement in comfort and facilities.
Wilder F — Google review
They don't seem to want customers. Trying to reserve a bed at 5pm was already too late for them. Even though we were in a chat at 4:59, the person in charge didn't bother and stopped replying after 5pm. Also, I was asked to share credit card details via WhatsApp, which is not secure, the hostel should know this. When I was asking for a secure website to send the details, answer was "I'm sorry, you have to look for another option". Reading through some reviews, I find it also amazing how the owner is always justifying him/herself. In the hospitality industry, you better take feedback seriously and improve, and not just bark back at your customers. I'm already looking forward to the reply to this review :-)

Confortable hostel in one of the main street of Pamplona. The room is quite small, but it has all the necessary. The staff is nice and homing. I asked for a gluten free breakfast and every morning I had my gf plate from the chef. Attention there isn't any elevator!
Flaminia T — Google review
I recently stayed at this hotel and had an absolutely dreadful experience. We were charged €1,000 for a three-night stay in a room that was no larger than a wardrobe and had no windows. The room was located on the fifth floor, and to our dismay, there was no elevator available, making it extremely difficult to access. Additionally, the common bathroom was in a deplorable state, lacking even a basic lock for privacy. This made the stay not only uncomfortable but also unsafe. I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. You would be much better off sleeping in a municipal parking lot than enduring the appalling conditions of this establishment.

If you have mobility issues this may not be the place for you. The building does not have a lift/elevator. Accommodation is part of a building consisting of a bar on the ground floor, a restaurant on the first floor and rooms on the upper floors. Checking in procedure is on the first level by the restaurant. The woman who checked me in was very gracious and helpful and made me feel very welcome. The room had the basics: 2 single beds, bedside tables, cupboard ,2 chairs and a TV. The ensuite had a small bathtub/shower combination, toilet and washbasin. The room and ensuite were clean and tidy with fresh linen and bath towels. The rooms are old style and not large but are ok for a place to rest after a day touring the sights of the city.

Perfect staying. Josef and the double Peter were so nice. Inviting us to join for dinner, waking us up with Vivaldi at the time we asked with coffee and toasts. Just the best time sharing possible between people. Very welcoming, warm, careful hospitality. 5/5 everywhere: bathrooms, rooms, humanity.

What a great albergue! From the moment we arrived, the hospitaleros were warm, grateful, and genuinely helpful—creating a wonderful Camino vibe. The space is small but thoughtfully laid out and full of nice touches. We were offered lemon water and cookies upon arrival and weren’t rushed through check-in, which helped us unwind. The metal bunks creak a bit, but the mattresses were very comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised by the satin cloth sheets and pillowcases—quite a luxury for the Camino! The pillows were a bit too firm for my taste, but that’s personal. The bathroom is limited in size but well equipped: hand soap, real towels, bath mats, even a hair dryer. There were plenty of electrical outlets for everyone. No communal kitchen, but I’m sure the hosts would help if you needed something. They offer breakfast at a reasonable price. There's also a dedicated hand-washing area with a clothesline and clothespins, plus a lovely outdoor seating area. A peaceful location and even a nearby grassy riverbank for relaxing. In the morning, they put up a cheerful “Buen Camino” sign at the entrance—a sweet final touch. Highly recommended.

If you are on the El Camino Frances, it is very likely that you may end up in Pamplona and staying there for one night. You would also have experienced other albergues as well. So want to expect there! The rooms are small, with bunks fairly close to each other. So be prepared if you have snorers! Washing clothes facility is outside and showers are adequate as well as sinks. Pilgrims are woken to music, and breakfast is optional. The volunteers there, at the time I was, were very caring and eager to help. And all this for 7 euros for the bed and breakfast below 4 euros if needed. Disfruta

Pensión Pasadena is a charming and unpretentious guesthouse that offers a cozy retreat for travelers seeking comfort without the frills. Nestled in a prime location just a 20-minute stroll from the heart of Pamplona, it provides easy access to local attractions. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, featuring soundproof windows for peaceful rest. Guests can enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi, along with shared amenities like a fridge and microwave.
It was a good accommodation for pilgrimage users. The bed was neat and fluffy. The roadway windows are soundproof. If you want to rest alone rather than Albergue, I recommend choosing this accommodation in Pamplona. However, when you arrive here, you have to call to the owner. There was accommodation on the third floor.

Hard to find, but it was very clean and cosy. There’s a shared fridge and microwave too. I had a private bathroom which made it more comfortable. Tip for anyone coming in on the Camino, the sign for this place is high up on the wall. It’s next to an Italian place. The pensione is on level 3.

Located in Pamplona, Hostal Espoz y Mina offers accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. The property was a last minute decision to stay here whilst travelling through Pamplona on Camino de Santiago.
My room was clean, well maintained and reasonably priced - all high marks there. I was extremely impressed with the ease of booking and check in; even though the property is a satellite building to another hotel, I was able to access my room with a code that was emailed to me in advance, so I was able to go straight to my room upon arriving. 5/5.

We stayed here during San Fermin. The location was very central and it’s very lively even in front of the hotel. Our room was facing the back so we did not hear any noise from the street. The hotel is right next to some wide streets, so it wasn’t hard to to bring luggage in. However, the luggage storage (after checkout) is at another hotel and that was tough getting the luggage through the crowds.

(Translated by Google) I had a very disturbing experience at this hotel due to a serious breach in security protocols. An unknown guest managed to enter my room without a valid code or formal assignment, creating an extremely uncomfortable and alarming situation when I found him naked in my room. This calls into question the security and privacy that guests expect when staying. Had I arrived later, this person would have had full access to my room, completely violating my privacy and security. I trust the hotel will take immediate steps to review its access systems and pay greater attention to sensitive guest data, but I believe this incident needs to be treated with the seriousness it deserves. Furthermore, there was no compensation for the inconvenience caused. I would not recommend this property until it is guaranteed that this type of situation will not occur again.

Just a short stroll from Yamaguchi Park, this welcoming spot allows easy access to the city center by foot or bus.
The lady was really nice helping us with the Donkey Service and she speaks perfect English. The room was kinda small but very quite and convenient yet close to the camino so you don't get lost in the city. I'd give it 5 of 5 for the service and location! A couple of my friends from The States stayed at another one on the 5th floor but the lady works there didn't speaks English at all.

We had a very poor stay at this apartment. When we first arrived there was an elderly gentleman who presumably lives in the flat (this was not explained to us) who spent most if his time in the living room watching TV loudly. It was not made clear that you are not allowed access to the kitchen and when we accidentally used the washing machine we received some rude exchanges with the host of this apartment and were made to pay 6 euro. The apartment itself was okay. Unfortunately the exchanges with the host made this a very unenjoyable stay and we wouldn't stay here again.

The walls looked like paper, we had several children on both sides of our room who seemed to be inside so loudly that we could hear them. In the nightstand drawer there was trash and a used tissue. 20 minutes after arriving, seeing the panorama, we told the woman who was running it that we preferred to leave and she excused herself by telling us that she had just started running the pension and that she was fixing it, which is why the conditions were not the best. If you don't have it in good condition, don't offer it. In short, she decided that if we left her €40 we could leave, and she returned the remaining €70 to us. Not before telling the neighbor in the room that we had decided to leave because of the noises of her children (in front of us). It was also very uncomfortable, when the responsibility is hers since the facilities are not in good condition. Despite the lovely pictures online, our stay was extremely disappointing. The room was dirty and poorly cleaned, and it wasn't serviced during our stay. For a family of four, we were not provided with enough bedding or toilet paper. We had to purchase our own soap because the provided one had a terrible smell, and there was a bad odor throughout the apartment. The only positive aspect was its great, central location. Overall, it did not meet our expectations in the least and was not worth what we paid.

Great location, clean, well maintained. Auto check in was easy. Kitchen was well appointed, beds comfy. Laundry (free!) was a plus. Of course it’s a bit noisy at night, but that’s normal in the narrow streets of a Spanish city center. I slept a pierna suelta.

We stayed one night in apartment 401 in June 2024. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this apartment. It was dark, the walls were dirty, and it was noisy. We left feeling that it would’ve been better to get two rooms at a cheap hostel. Noise: You constantly hear the upstairs floor creaking. Also, you hear all of the road noise on the busy pedestrian street from both bedrooms. Cleanliness: Dirty walls with holes in places. Bathroom: The bathroom door does not have a lock, which may be fine if you are staying there with a spouse, but it’s a two-bedroom apartment so the assumption should be that you are there with other people. Also if you are not careful, the bathroom door doesn’t always close properly and stay closed because there is not a latch to hold it. Secondary bedroom: This bedroom is not adequate as a second bedroom for an adult. It may be fine if you are traveling with young children, but there is no privacy as it was not originally a bathroom and only has blinds That do not close properly. There were no coat hangers and no door lock. Also, there is not a handle on the inside of the doors of the secondary bedroom to get them back open. The worst part is that in spite of the fact that this is not an adequate bedroom for adults, they charge €20 more for a person to stay in there. We felt ripped off. Primary bedroom: Two twin beds pushed together. In general, the furniture in the apartment was old and in poor condition. The positives are the excellent location in the center of the city and that the kitchen was well equipped.

(Translated by Google) We went to spend New Year's Eve, during which people from other rooms emptied a fire extinguisher around the building, since there are people who don't know how to behave in places like that. After calling several times and clarifying with the team of the apartments themselves that we were not to blame for anything (due to the recording of the cameras), not only do they not pick up our calls, but we have been waiting for a month for the return of the deposit for the rooms, about which we have not heard any more. I don't know what to expect so long if the matter is very clear. We'll leave it in the hands of the police.

The image of St. Fermina, Patron Saint of Running, is located in the street of Santo Domingo in a niche. Long live San Fermin!
You have to visit it as part of the "encierro" route.

I have lost count of how many we have been to, but I can say without a doubt that CARPE DIEM has been the best apartment we have ever stayed in. It is located on a very quiet street 8 minutes from the center, and it also includes parking for the car in a parking lot 3 minutes walk away. When you arrive, the owner awaits you and very simply explains the 4 most important details to take into account during your stay. Once you enter the apartment you realize that the owner has taken care of even the smallest detail to make your stay very pleasant. Last week I was in another apartment, in the center of Pamplona and I also gave it an excellent rating, but making a comparison about cars. That was a Volkswagen with all the extras and this is a Mercedes with the most exclusive equipment and both with a fairly similar price. It is a luxury apartment, very new, where the owner only has one wish: "That your stay is as pleasant as possible." We didn't need to ask for anything, and he gave us everything and had more details, which I don't want to reveal so as not to lose the surprise of future tenants. I can only say, thank you very much for the great work of the owner and I hope it continues like this.

(Translated by Google) An apartment awaited us in the lively and elegant Pamplona, which dominates the central Plaza del Castillo from the 4th floor. Check-in was a bit laborious, but... these are things that can only be discovered on site! Leaving the motorbikes in a paid underground car park, right on the edge of the square, we went looking for the reception where we could register and here too, armed with patience, we took care of the bureaucratic tasks and literally jumped into the shower. We allowed ourselves a bit of relaxation, looking out from that privileged balcony, and immediately had dinner at Iruñazarra, a typical restaurant where good cerveza abounds. Despite the difficult check-in, the apartment was comfortably pleasant. The following morning we took the time to have breakfast in one of the bars of an awakening Plaza del Castillo, we paid homage to the Encierro monument with a dutiful souvenir photo and we looked out at the Plaza de Toros, whose main entrance is controlled from the bust of Ernest Hemingway.

Without shame, I hope that all of Pamplona finds out what you are like.

(Translated by Google) Excellent. Through WhatsApp they treated us great, with kindness and explaining everything perfectly. The location on the street of La Estafeta is unbeatable. The apartment is spacious and comfortable, the bathroom and the entire house are very clean. Maybe it's a bit dark, but that's no problem. If we return to Pamplona we will try to do it in this same place. (Original) Excelente.

This charming apartment is perfectly suited for a group of six and offers a prime location to witness the exhilarating first stretch of the running of the bulls. You'll be immersed in all the excitement, from the lively singing to watching runners prepare right before your eyes.

(Translated by Google) We spent a few days at the San Fermín festivities and everything was great, the location allows you to experience the first stretch of the running of the bulls (singing and preparation of the runners, in first person), but best of all, without a doubt, the attention of the owners, They helped us with everything related to the organization of our trip, restaurant reservations, parking, activities..., getting involved as much as possible and always with pleasure, super satisfied with the treatment received. Thank you very much Ines (Original) Pasamos unos días en fiestas de San Fermín y todo estupendo,la ubicación te permite vivir el primer tramo del encierro (cánticos y preparación de los corredores,en primerísima persona),pero lo mejor de todo ,sin duda,la atención de los propietarios, nos ayudaron en todo lo relacionado con la organización de nuestro viaje ,reserva de restaurantes, parking, actividades…,implicándose al máximo y siempre con agrado,súper satisfechos del trato recibido.Muchas Gracias Ines
