Amazing food and great vibe where many locals gather. Love the foie gras toast and sea urchin, the octopus is really fresh with a creamy sauce. The cod in tomato salad is also a must try. The food was so good that I forgot to take photos for many dishes. The Rojo beer is an amber beer that goes really well with the dishes. Can also try the Rioja wines for pairing.
It may get crowded later in the evening, best is to go around 6 or 7pm before the crowd gathers.
Visited this place a few weeks ago with some friends, it’s was recommended by many must-visit Pamplona lists on the internet. It was good but it didn’t blow my mind. Food is good, but nothing stood out for my taste. The best thing was their chistorra croquet!
If you want to have a couple of beers and a quick bite with some friends I would recommend it.

Café Bar Gaucho is one of those places that makes you understand why pintxos are such a big deal in Pamplona. The variety is amazing and everything we tried was delicious: the poached egg with mushroom truffle sauce, the octopus, the stuffed sea urchin, the beef… and our absolute favorite, the foie gras pintxo — so good we had it twice!😋
The place gets packed, so going early is the best way to get a table. You can also stand at the bar or grab one of the high tables outside. Even if there’s a queue, I think it’s totally worth the wait. Honestly, the lively atmosphere is part of the charm, perfect for enjoying with friends and drinks.
The staff is super fast and friendly, keeping everything moving smoothly even when it’s crowded.
For me, it’s an easy 5 stars in the pintxos bar category — fun, tasty, and one of the must-visit spots in Pamplona.
Bar Gaucho is Pamplona at its best, buzzing atmosphere, quick and friendly service, and pintxos worth crossing the city for. The huevo trufado is rich, creamy, and decadent, while the grilled foie gras is perfectly seared and melts in your mouth. Grab a spot at the bar, order a few at a time, and enjoy the chaos.

service was good and friendly , regardless of the preasure placed by the amount of people placing orders. the food was outstanding, and the wine suggestion was proper. However I was surprised that food was warmed up in a microwave oven,.specialy that some of the pintxos could be eaten at room temperature. another option would be a salamander to heat some.of the food, but over all , it is a highly recomended culinary experience. the bet time is to.get there a mid day food has just been prepared and there are not many people, or around 7pm.,.
every dish was amazing. we preferred to sit outside and it was raining. the indoor atmosphere was also really authentic and warm. do not miss this place and visit there with friends to try as many different tapas dishes as possible 👌

When visiting Pamplona this place is a must-visit! The first day I arrived in Pamplona I visited their bar for a quick bit and had very good pinchos (their famous bomb looking one included)! Most of what I tried was delicious!
A couple of days later I made reservations for dinner with a group of friends and we were all surprised with the quality of the food and service! Make sure you try their steak and the slow cooked beef ribs, these two dishes are incredible!!!!
I will keep this one in my rotation every time I visit Pamplona!!!
In the heart of Pamplona, this place stole my heart. The food was of high quality, and they were nice enough to offer an item not on their menu just because I was craving some greens. Their wine selection is also extensive and the staff will help you find the right one. All in all, it was a very positive experience
Wow what a great experience. The 5 pasos tasting menu was a wonderful way to experience all the great flavors this place has to offer. The service was superb from the wine recommendation accompanied with a story about the winery through all the 5 courses and down to the chupito at the end. Loved it all

After spending 10 days eating my way through Northern Spain, I can confidently say that Baserriberri in Pamplona served me the very best pintxos of the entire trip. Every single bite was bursting with creativity, flavour, and pure joy.
If you come here, don’t overthink it, just order all of their special pintxos. Every one of them is a masterpiece, beautifully crafted and absolutely delicious. Each dish feels like a small work of art, both in presentation and taste, and they truly deliver on the “wow” factor.
Amazing food! Started with vermouth and immediately left me looking forward to my food. The cerviche was incredible and the horsemeat ball was enjoyable. The dumpling was alright.
We where a bit early on a Wednesday, still managed to try some great food and wine.

Café Iruña, located in the heart of Pamplona, is a charming 1888 cafe known for its ornate decor and storied history. The elegant facade gives off a Wes Anderson film vibe, making it an ideal place to enjoy a refreshing beverage while taking in the lively atmosphere.
A great experience in this atmospheric restaurant. The set menu at €24 for three courses, bread wine and water is excellent value for money. The food was tasty (especially the delicious “curds” dessert), filling and the local wine very enjoyable. The highlight was saying a quiet hello to Ernest Hemingway in the small bar at the side of the restaurant.

This was a great experience. Located right at the center of Plaza Castillo in Pamplona, café Iruña will attend to your cravings for traditional hearty food, with a five star service and a dazzling atmosphere. Everything was great, from the entrée to the dessert, passing by the fish, meat and salads. Price is fair, it's not so busy at lunch, but for dinner better make a reservation (or just come early, Spaniards like to have dinner after 9). A must go if you're ever by Navarres capital.
A stunning original cafe where Hemingway was a patron. The rich interior is enchanting and the mirrored wall reflect the lights and decor of the large space. We were a large group having sangria and pinchos so the service was fast and not individualized but that was ok. The pinchos were delicious.
One of the oldest coffee shops in Spain. I was looking for the perfect Spanish Con Leche, then they gave me the most understated one. A stunning original cafe where Hemingway was a patron. I can smell the history here.
Sangria is good, but service is pretty bad. We got some food and were not able to take a table inside. The waiters insisted that the children eat from plates while standing, despite the fact that only a few tables out of 30 was occupied outside. The bread on the pintxos is very dry.

Iruña is the Basque word for Pamplona. historical café associated to Hemingway s presence in Pamplona. I stopped for a coffe and dessert, the service was friendly, but it can take some time due to the high traffic

Bar Casa Jesús Mari is a popular spot in central Pamplona known for its rustic and almost-Celtic interior. We came to this bar hungry, soaked to the bone from the pouring rain, and left full, warm, and very satisfied. From the moment we walked in, we felt the welcoming atmosphere. The owner's smile said it all — everything was going to be just fine. 😉 We ordered bocadillos and got great help with our choices. The sandwiches were delicious, hot, and perfectly crispy. This is a favorite spot among locals. Our Airbnb host recommended it highly, and we were very happy with our lunch. Sandwiches can be ordered GF. The man who took my order spoke no English, but he definitely understood me when I pointed to the bottom of the menu that states that sandwiches can be served safely for celiacs on GF buns. Eat indoors or outdoors, a great place for a sandwich and a drink.

Great gluten free bread with a wide variety of bocadillas for your choosing. The bread was excellent! So happy we went there. Also, this was a really cool building.
Baguettes taste is good, they have estrella Galicia which is a plus, however the service wasn’t very keen in helping or suggesting. It looked like they were just doing us a favour for explaining it. There are better bars in the area. Won’t come back
The rumora are true. These are the best gluten free sandwiches you can get in Pamplona, nay, all of Spain. Delicious, hot, toasty.....and you can get it with a GF beer. Husband was almost moved to tears. You can all sandwiches GF except paté (no problem).
Great place and we will be coming back a few more times before we leave.

Great spot for a snack and people watching! They only have a kitchen open on weekends, so I tried their vegan nuggets and a draft lager. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Prices were okay. I really liked their window bar seats to enjoy the vibe outside while I had a snack!
I went back last night for the first time since they reopened the bar and to my surprise, the customer service was horrible made me and my family unwelcome because we were just having drinks and not dining on their menu. The bartender was very friendly when he took our drinks order, kudos to him. Rest of the staff customer service rate one out of 10.
The worst menu(deal of day) experience in Spain. We are self driving tour Spain for 20 days in the November of 2023, and enjoyed many good honest restaurants, this one is totally cheating. 17.99/pp menu we chose are totally joke. Not only very small portions but also precooked food simply heat up. The duck meat I ordered is like one spring roll size, and steak is hard to chaw. We paid two person prices and feel not full at all.
You should avoid this restaurant.
We came as a large group of persons during this week, having checked with the bar owner beforehand to make sure was able acomodate us, the woman server on the terrace was rude and provided and awfull customer service that made us feel unwanted, we where even not allowed to grab some extra chairs to acomodate us all.
Would never ever come back here 0/10.

The restaurant La Tasca de Don José is a great place to go for authentic Spanish pintxos and dishes. The atmosphere and the place are very comfortable, clean, and modern. There are 2 rooms with charming decor. The food is excellent, especially the Espinacas y Gambas and atun dishes. The service is friendly and attentive, always with a smile.
Another magnificent experience in the center of Pamplona. Delicious food, good service (considering being in August and I assume understaffed) at very inviting prices. Not the fanciest of places but certainly friendly. Recommend.

Worst steak I’ve ever eaten. I eat a lot of steak, but I can’t remember any steak that was worse. It was extremely chewy and tasteless. The chips were sad and old. The roasted peppers were nice though, hence the 1 star for food. Service was decent and nice atmosphere.
We had a quick amazing lunch in the main plaza of Pamplona. For just 17,90 their daily menù is amazing and full of flavourful dishes. We tried alla different ones and they were all really good.
Service was good; not great but it was the middle of the lunch rush so can’t really complain.

The food was delicious and amazing value. We speak some Spanish, and although the waitress spoke English we said we wanted to speak Spanish to practise and she took time to chat with the kids, and to let us all practise our Spanish. It was a wonderful experience to eat here and I would definitely come back next time I come to Pamplona.
I requested my burger to be well cooked and specifically said I do not like pink inside my burger. The burger came pink in the middle, no one asked us how the meal was. Very good and tasty food. Authentic pintxos and dishes. The atmosphere and the place is very comfortable, clean and modern. There are 2 rooms. The craft beer is very well served. The coffee is good. The best of all was the waitress. She is very pleasant and attentive, always with a smile.

We came to pamplona for the Manowar concert 8/03/2025 and found this place near our hotel.
This place is such a gem of a resturant, our host Roberto an amazing fellow helped us with the menu seen as we dont speak spanish. I must say it was the best culinary experience we had in Pamplona. The food was to die for, delicious very well presented and cooked to perfection.
We really enjoyed our stay here and the staff are very welcoming and attentive to your needs. Roberto made time for use during a busy service and really went out of his way to make us feel welcome, something i really appreciated the Spanish touch i call it.
