Bar
Bar Gaucho, located in the heart of the city next to Plaza del Castillo, is a classic bar that has been serving up skewered pintxos and delicious wines for over 30 years. The owners pride themselves on offering cuisine from the land of Navarre with avant-garde touches.
Famous for its authenticity, fabulous pintxos and great coffee, this place does not disappoint! Friendly vibes from the personnel. Good spots outside (high chairs) to enjoy a tasty bite in the shade.
Hans Y — Google review
Amazing food and great vibe where many locals gather. Love the foie gras toast and sea urchin, the octopus is really fresh with a creamy sauce. The cod in tomato salad is also a must try. The food was so good that I forgot to take photos for many dishes. The Rojo beer is an amber beer that goes really well with the dishes. Can also try the Rioja wines for pairing. It may get crowded later in the evening, best is to go around 6 or 7pm before the crowd gathers.
J W — Google review
Visited this place a few weeks ago with some friends, it’s was recommended by many must-visit Pamplona lists on the internet. It was good but it didn’t blow my mind. Food is good, but nothing stood out for my taste. The best thing was their chistorra croquet! If you want to have a couple of beers and a quick bite with some friends I would recommend it.
Cesar A — Google review
Great vibes, great pintxos, great time. 🤩 Café Bar Gaucho is one of those places that makes you understand why pintxos are such a big deal in Pamplona. The variety is amazing and everything we tried was delicious: the poached egg with mushroom truffle sauce, the octopus, the stuffed sea urchin, the beef… and our absolute favorite, the foie gras pintxo — so good we had it twice!😋 The place gets packed, so going early is the best way to get a table. You can also stand at the bar or grab one of the high tables outside. Even if there’s a queue, I think it’s totally worth the wait. Honestly, the lively atmosphere is part of the charm, perfect for enjoying with friends and drinks. The staff is super fast and friendly, keeping everything moving smoothly even when it’s crowded. For me, it’s an easy 5 stars in the pintxos bar category — fun, tasty, and one of the must-visit spots in Pamplona.
Daniela V — Google review
Bar Gaucho is Pamplona at its best, buzzing atmosphere, quick and friendly service, and pintxos worth crossing the city for. The huevo trufado is rich, creamy, and decadent, while the grilled foie gras is perfectly seared and melts in your mouth. Grab a spot at the bar, order a few at a time, and enjoy the chaos.
Steve M — Google review
Awesome place for pintxos and drinks. They have items from the kitchen not displayed in the counter as well. The mushroom/egg/stick fries item looks/sounds so weird but OMG one of the best egg dishes i have had. Practically right off the bull run path. The lady doesnt speak much english but she tries and makes a great experience.
Sam A — Google review
service was good and friendly , regardless of the preasure placed by the amount of people placing orders. the food was outstanding, and the wine suggestion was proper. However I was surprised that food was warmed up in a microwave oven,.specialy that some of the pintxos could be eaten at room temperature. another option would be a salamander to heat some.of the food, but over all , it is a highly recomended culinary experience. the bet time is to.get there a mid day food has just been prepared and there are not many people, or around 7pm.,.

every dish was amazing. we preferred to sit outside and it was raining. the indoor atmosphere was also really authentic and warm. do not miss this place and visit there with friends to try as many different tapas dishes as possible 👌

When visiting Pamplona this place is a must-visit! The first day I arrived in Pamplona I visited their bar for a quick bit and had very good pinchos (their famous bomb looking one included)! Most of what I tried was delicious! A couple of days later I made reservations for dinner with a group of friends and we were all surprised with the quality of the food and service! Make sure you try their steak and the slow cooked beef ribs, these two dishes are incredible!!!! I will keep this one in my rotation every time I visit Pamplona!!!
Cesar A — Google review
In the heart of Pamplona, this place stole my heart. The food was of high quality, and they were nice enough to offer an item not on their menu just because I was craving some greens. Their wine selection is also extensive and the staff will help you find the right one. All in all, it was a very positive experience
Lea-Maria N — Google review
Wow what a great experience. The 5 pasos tasting menu was a wonderful way to experience all the great flavors this place has to offer. The service was superb from the wine recommendation accompanied with a story about the winery through all the 5 courses and down to the chupito at the end. Loved it all
Marcela B — Google review
We eat here twice, once in the bar, once in the restaurant. Our preference would be to eat in the bar. The restaurant lacked atmosphere & the staff were more formal Their ceviche tapa (€4.20) was my tapa of our Pamplona week They also had a fab chicken gyoza tapa that was my partner’s tapa of the week. He was also a big fan of the potato bravas (€10)

After spending 10 days eating my way through Northern Spain, I can confidently say that Baserriberri in Pamplona served me the very best pintxos of the entire trip. Every single bite was bursting with creativity, flavour, and pure joy. If you come here, don’t overthink it, just order all of their special pintxos. Every one of them is a masterpiece, beautifully crafted and absolutely delicious. Each dish feels like a small work of art, both in presentation and taste, and they truly deliver on the “wow” factor.

Amazing food! Started with vermouth and immediately left me looking forward to my food. The cerviche was incredible and the horsemeat ball was enjoyable. The dumpling was alright.

Café Iruña, located in the heart of Pamplona, is a charming 1888 cafe known for its ornate decor and storied history. The elegant facade gives off a Wes Anderson film vibe, making it an ideal place to enjoy a refreshing beverage while taking in the lively atmosphere.
A great experience in this atmospheric restaurant. The set menu at €24 for three courses, bread wine and water is excellent value for money. The food was tasty (especially the delicious “curds” dessert), filling and the local wine very enjoyable. The highlight was saying a quiet hello to Ernest Hemingway in the small bar at the side of the restaurant.
Sarah F — Google review
This was a great experience. Located right at the center of Plaza Castillo in Pamplona, café Iruña will attend to your cravings for traditional hearty food, with a five star service and a dazzling atmosphere. Everything was great, from the entrée to the dessert, passing by the fish, meat and salads. Price is fair, it's not so busy at lunch, but for dinner better make a reservation (or just come early, Spaniards like to have dinner after 9). A must go if you're ever by Navarres capital.
Luis C — Google review
A stunning original cafe where Hemingway was a patron. The rich interior is enchanting and the mirrored wall reflect the lights and decor of the large space. We were a large group having sangria and pinchos so the service was fast and not individualized but that was ok. The pinchos were delicious.
G M — Google review
One of the oldest coffee shops in Spain. I was looking for the perfect Spanish Con Leche, then they gave me the most understated one. A stunning original cafe where Hemingway was a patron. I can smell the history here.
Gian G — Google review
Sangria is good, but service is pretty bad. We got some food and were not able to take a table inside. The waiters insisted that the children eat from plates while standing, despite the fact that only a few tables out of 30 was occupied outside. The bread on the pintxos is very dry.

Nice surprise. This is a café to remember. I liked the well-maintained historical interior. I enjoyed coffe and rum. The staff was very nice.

Bar Casa Jesús Mari is a popular spot in central Pamplona known for its rustic and almost-Celtic interior. The venue offers bocadillo sandwiches, including gluten-free options, as well as Spanish lagers and wines. The bar is famous for its delicious bocadillos and roast potatoes with various toppings, such as mushroom and cheese sauce. Vegetarian and vegan options are also available.
We came to this bar hungry, soaked to the bone from the pouring rain, and left full, warm, and very satisfied. From the moment we walked in, we felt the welcoming atmosphere. The owner's smile said it all — everything was going to be just fine. 😉 We ordered bocadillos and got great help with our choices. The sandwiches were delicious, hot, and perfectly crispy. We also had Navarre wine, which was equally delightful and aromatic. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!

Best place of entire Pamplona for eating "bocadillo". We also recommend the shot of the house.

So excited to find this place! Gluten free bocadillos were an absolute treat and the staff very friendly, even when I tried my terrible Spanish haha. Highly recommend
Hollie S — Google review
This is a favorite spot among locals. Our Airbnb host recommended it highly, and we were very happy with our lunch. Sandwiches can be ordered GF. The man who took my order spoke no English, but he definitely understood me when I pointed to the bottom of the menu that states that sandwiches can be served safely for celiacs on GF buns. Eat indoors or outdoors, a great place for a sandwich and a drink.

Great gluten free bread with a wide variety of bocadillas for your choosing. The bread was excellent! So happy we went there. Also, this was a really cool building.

Baguettes taste is good, they have estrella Galicia which is a plus, however the service wasn’t very keen in helping or suggesting. It looked like they were just doing us a favour for explaining it. There are better bars in the area. Won’t come back

The rumora are true. These are the best gluten free sandwiches you can get in Pamplona, nay, all of Spain. Delicious, hot, toasty.....and you can get it with a GF beer. Husband was almost moved to tears. You can all sandwiches GF except paté (no problem). Great place and we will be coming back a few more times before we leave.

Great spot for a snack and people watching! They only have a kitchen open on weekends, so I tried their vegan nuggets and a draft lager. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Prices were okay. I really liked their window bar seats to enjoy the vibe outside while I had a snack!

I went back last night for the first time since they reopened the bar and to my surprise, the customer service was horrible made me and my family unwelcome because we were just having drinks and not dining on their menu. The bartender was very friendly when he took our drinks order, kudos to him. Rest of the staff customer service rate one out of 10.

The worst menu(deal of day) experience in Spain. We are self driving tour Spain for 20 days in the November of 2023, and enjoyed many good honest restaurants, this one is totally cheating. 17.99/pp menu we chose are totally joke. Not only very small portions but also precooked food simply heat up. The duck meat I ordered is like one spring roll size, and steak is hard to chaw. We paid two person prices and feel not full at all. You should avoid this restaurant.

I was served by a very rude girl who seemed to be in a hurry for me to leave. I asked her about some product that was filled with it and she responded as if annoyed and in a hurry so that I could quickly tell her what I wanted. The whole time she was very serious and making strange faces, like disgust and bitter. He also spoke to another client half shouting and in a bad manner. If you just want a specific product quickly, this site is for you. If you want to be treated in a friendly way, better look for another one!! When I left I went to look at the opinions and obviously I saw that I'm not the only one who thinks this.

Very near the Pamplona Cathedral. Perfect place to get your sugar fix after walking around Old Town for an energy boost. Everything they sell is tasty...and they sell them fast. Got pastries w chocolate inside and a bar of chocolate (70% cacao) with almonds. Pleasant service too. Don't miss this.

Another magnificent experience in the center of Pamplona. Delicious food, good service (considering being in August and I assume understaffed) at very inviting prices. Not the fanciest of places but certainly friendly. Recommend.

Worst steak I’ve ever eaten. I eat a lot of steak, but I can’t remember any steak that was worse. It was extremely chewy and tasteless. The chips were sad and old. The roasted peppers were nice though, hence the 1 star for food. Service was decent and nice atmosphere.

Nice service. The Espinacas y Gambas and atún are really good but the pato which we originally ordered was horrible and crazily salty. We reported the issue and they replaced it with new orders. Thumb-up to their attitude to customer service

More than Burgers is a vintage-inspired diner that offers a wide variety of hearty American dishes. Their menu includes super-sized burgers, Tex-Mex favorites, and other classic American fare. One standout item is the Tuna tataki burger which features a perfectly cooked tuna on a black squid ink bun with black sesame seeds. The sauce adds an extra burst of flavor to this delightful dish.
More than burger, is a statement. Been there as a foreigner 3 times, but never left disappointed. Always fresh and delicious. Only request/critic: Update the menu. But Wow! On my next business trip, you might see me again!!!

We came to pamplona for the Manowar concert 8/03/2025 and found this place near our hotel. This place is such a gem of a resturant, our host Roberto an amazing fellow helped us with the menu seen as we dont speak spanish. I must say it was the best culinary experience we had in Pamplona. The food was to die for, delicious very well presented and cooked to perfection. We really enjoyed our stay here and the staff are very welcoming and attentive to your needs. Roberto made time for use during a busy service and really went out of his way to make us feel welcome, something i really appreciated the Spanish touch i call it. a full 10/10 experience and I cant recommend this place enough, a must visit if you ever find yourself in Pamplona. Very good value, Very good Food, Very good atmosphere and Very friendly staff. Say hello to Roberto for me 🙂. We will come again!!!! Ian & Marie-Claire from Malta

Wow their Tuna tataki burger changed my life. Absolutely loved the black squid ink bun and black sesame seeds on the perfectly cooked tuna. Sauce was divine. The falafel is not really served in an actual pita (at least not by Israeli standards) but the samosas are a great addition and the Tzeziki sauce was surprisingly a good match. Service was fantastic although the place was packed on a Saturday night. Loved.

I ordered a Sachertorte for a party and when I opened it the cake did not have any chocolate or cocoa. And when I called to say that they had made a mistake with my cake, the manager treated me like a crazy person and hung up on me. Don't call a cake without chocolate/cocoa Sacher, because that's confusing (or maybe even misleading) customers. I promised the children chocolate and they were very disappointed. I left more than half the cake uneaten, and it had cost me €40. I went the next day they opened, to talk to the manager, but due to schedule it was not possible to meet. A chore.

(Translated by Google) Being celiac having these breads is wonderful. Seriously, the sponginess of the bread has no name, the crumb does not fall apart, it stays fresh for days and there is also variety!! I am a fan of buckwheat bread and I think it has just the right acidity and highlights the characteristic buckwheat flavor very well. I really appreciate that they do not contain cornstarch and that all the breads are SOURDOUGH!!! Keep making us happy because they are so worth it. At home, we all eat this wonder (celiacs and non-celiacs). In my last order I repeated my favorites (which are actually all of them, it is difficult to choose) and I tried the one with dates and walnuts: SPECTACULAR. I need to try the turmeric one. Very fast service, I ordered it yesterday and this morning I had it in Barcelona. Thank you very much because bread requires care, time and dedication. I have no doubt that you do it because it shows in the flavor, the crumb, the texture, the crust and the quality. I love their corn bread, seeds, buckwheat... and what can I say about their hazelnut cookies, ginger cookies, granola, everything is very delicious. The price is higher than industrial crap, I prefer to eat healthy and pay a little more, it is more profitable because they are heavier breads and last longer. Very good service, I highlight Bea who is super nice and attentive.

(Translated by Google) Total disappointment. I bought the buckwheat loaf and the sliced dates and walnuts. The taste was excessively bitter, except for the dates and walnuts. When toasting the thin slice, the crust turns into an inedible rock. Too expensive for the disappointing result, the taste was bad, and the texture was poor. I won't buy it again. (Original) Decepcion total. No volvere a comprar.

(Translated by Google) I am not celiac but I love their products because they feel great to me, I know that I am paying for quality which for me is the most important thing, and above all I highlight the treatment of the bakers who explain each product to you with infinite patience. They have a wide variety of breads and I keep changing them, I like them all! 😋

(Translated by Google) A leading gluten-free bakery in Pamplona. Artisanal, sourdough products. You can call and reserve your loaf, making it much easier to purchase. I'll definitely be back!

(Translated by Google) For people with celiac disease and gluten intolerance, it is one of the best places to buy quality gluten-free bread. But the price is prohibitive for a staple food such as bread. With a mileurista salary you can't afford this bread every day. For example, the loaf that is around a kilo, today's 944gr weighed at home is worth almost €9 (€8.80) and the average 440gr is €4.40. If you are a person like me who has breakfast every day with bread... you don't have anything to eat or have dinner with bread... you get at least 1 loaf a week, that is, €36/month for bread alone. Let everyone with their purchasing power and their illness.

(Translated by Google) Terrible customer service. I placed an order online and gave two guidelines after two subsequent attempts. They tried to deliver at a time when I was not at home and at the same time every day... They did not follow any guidelines and my order was not delivered. They haven't delivered it to me yet, a certain Gema who doesn't read emails well and ultimately spoke to me terribly in the email... on top of that they won't give me my money back. A scam! I just want them to treat you the same when you go shopping please. Thank you, (Original) Servicio lamentable al cliente.

Cafés Bruno is a must-visit artisanal coffee shop and café in Pamplona, offering some of the finest caffeine fixes in the city. They take pride in roasting their own beans on-site, featuring a variety of origins including Kenya and Brazil, as well as flavored options like hazelnut. Pair your coffee with delectable homemade pastries, cakes, or cookies for an authentic Spanish breakfast experience.
The first local artisan coffee roaster I've come across. He also has very good knowledge about international coffee expertise from both the east and the western traditions. Both beans and coffee available in a quiet "tasteful" setting.
