Ram Jhula, also known as Shivananda Jhula, is a 450ft suspension bridge that spans the Ganges River and connects the banks with Shivananda and Swarga ashrams. This iconic landmark in Rishikesh is a popular tourist spot offering mesmerizing views of the river and the lush greenery at the foothills of the Himalayas.
Ram jhula, in Rishikesh one the most beautiful place, if anyone wants to see the beauty and glimps of this place do come at night after 8.30 or 9 pm cuz here is too rush in evening but at night is completely free from rush, and there no any things which scare for female or girls special police are here are vigilance and active no such miscreants are there. Soothing environment at night at ghats.

Ram Jhula is one of the most visited places in Rishikesh. It's the way to Famous Ashrams like Parmarth Niketan, Geeta Bhawan, Beatles Ashram. Also you can go to taxi stand for Neelkanth Mahadev and also paidal marg for the same. It has beautiful ghats for Maa Ganga Snan. Very scenic in evening and night. Also breeze in the night on this bridge is very calm and serene. Best month to visit Rishikesh and Ram Jhula is October and November. Please do not litter on these Holy places. Be kind to all. Highly Recommended. Thanks

The most bustling place in Rishikesh where you need to visit once you visit Rishikesh. It's the suspension bridge and most of the famous ashrams are situated on either side of the Ganges once you cross the bridge. You can enjoy boating in the Ganges also, which is near this suspension bridge. There are plenty of eateries nearby where you can have lunch or quick bites. Visit with adequate amount of time for optimum enjoyment.

Ram Jhula in Rishikesh is truly one of the most beautiful and iconic places in the city. While it’s charming at any time of day, if you really want to experience its true beauty and peaceful vibe, visit after 8:30 or 9:00 PM. During the evening, the area can get quite crowded with pilgrims and tourists, but at night, the rush fades away, and you can enjoy the calm, soothing atmosphere by the Ganga River and the ghats. The illuminated bridge reflecting on the water looks absolutely magical — it’s a sight to remember. 🌙 The area feels completely safe for women and families, as police patrols are active and vigilant even late at night. There are no miscreants or disturbances, making it a peaceful place to stroll, sit by the river, or simply absorb the serene energy of Rishikesh. If you love quiet moments, twinkling lights, and the sound of flowing water, Ram Jhula at night will surely touch your heart. 💛
Yaduveer S — Google review
Good to experience once. If you come with scooter, you have to park and have to pay 50rs as a parking charges and you have to walk around 2KM to visit all the things till Parmarth Niketan and janki bridge. But there is another option as well. Cross janki bridge by scooter so you move at another end of Gangaji and park over there which is free to cost and you can easily access all visiting places nearby.
Uday V — Google review
Since the closure of Laxman Jhulla to vehicular traffic, this iconic suspension bridge has become a bustling thoroughfare for both pedestrians and bikers. At any given time, the bridge is adorned with a lively crowd, creating an energetic atmosphere. The view from the bridge, overlooking the majestic Ganga River and the captivating sight of rafting activities below, adds to its charm. Approaching the Ramjhulla parking side, visitors are treated to a picturesque view of the Ganges. Toward the end of the bridge, on the left-hand side, lies Goa Beach, offering a serene escape along the riverbank. Crossing the Jhulla and continuing on the left, one encounters the road leading to Laxman Jhulla. On the right side, the area is adorned with renowned tourist destinations, predominantly ashrams such as Parmarth Niketan, Swargashram, and Sivanand. Notably, the famous Chotiwala restaurants are also situated on this side, providing a taste of local cuisine. The allure of Ram Jhulla is further heightened during the evening when the entire structure is illuminated, casting a warm glow across the surroundings. This nightly transformation enhances the bridge's beauty, creating a captivating ambiance that draws visitors to witness the enchanting play of lights against the backdrop of the flowing Ganga River. Ram Jhulla stands not only as a functional crossing but also as a symbol of vibrancy and charm in the heart of Rishikesh. Significance & Function Spiritual Hub: Connects important spiritual centers like Sivananda Ashram and Swargashram, making it a vital crossing point for devotees. Tourist Attraction: A major landmark that provides panoramic views of the Ganges, the Himalayan foothills, and the surrounding temples. Access to Ashrams: Provides easy access to ashrams and other religious sites situated along its banks. What to Do There Walk or Cycle: Cross the bridge on foot or bicycle to enjoy the views and the serene atmosphere. Explore Markets: Browse the small markets at both ends of the bridge, offering souvenirs, local handicrafts, and religious items. Visit Ashrams: Discover the spiritual essence of Rishikesh by visiting the temples and ashrams that line the bridge. Photography: Capture the picturesque scenery of the river, mountains, and the bridge itself.

Nighttime relief in Rishikesh is found through serene, spiritual experiences like attending the Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat, walking across illuminated bridges like Laxman Jhula, or enjoying a quiet stroll along the riverbanks.

Hotel
GANGA KINARE - A Riverside Boutique Resort is a sophisticated riverfront hotel located in the entertainment district of Rishikesh. The upscale resort offers stunning views of the Ganges River and is conveniently situated near local attractions such as Triveni Ghat and Ram Jhula. Guests can indulge in relaxation at the full-service spa or enjoy modern amenities including a swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and fitness center.
The location and hospitality at the hotel is awesome. We took a family room and it was very spacious and relaxing. The restaurant food was great! After a long flight from the US and a couple of days at Delhi, this place was a true reprieve. They gave us a guided tour to the Triveni ghat and the tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. I wish I had remembered his name to give him some due credit. They offer a free of charge yoga and meditation session in the morning (you have to inform them in advance the prior evening). We did the yoga session, and the instructor Yogita was simply awesome!! We will come to this hotel again in the future.

I recently stayed at this wonderful hotel with a breathtaking view of the Ganga. The hotel has its own private Ganga ghat, which made the experience even more special. The highlight was definitely the restaurant, JAL & JALEBI—the food was exceptional! Every dish was bursting with flavor, and the setting by the river was perfect. A special mention goes to their representative, Vikas, who was incredibly humble and attentive. He made sure our stay was seamless and memorable. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy the beauty of the Ganga while experiencing top-notch hospitality!

We had booked this place for an engagement function with high expectations, but unfortunately the arrangements were quite disappointing. Basic things like seating, decoration, and cleanliness were not managed properly. The staff seemed unorganized, and service was very slow, which caused unnecessary stress on such an important day. Despite repeated requests, issues were not addressed on time. Not recommended for any type of functions.
Gautam K — Google review
I stayed for 3 days in the Luxury Premium Room, which is the second-highest category they offer. Sharing my honest experience so others can be more informed before booking: ⚠️ Things to Keep in Mind 1. Don’t trust the sales staff blindly, especially Garima. I booked directly through their sales team instead of an online portal, and it turned out to be a mistake. 2. The reception number is unreliable — they often disconnect the call if they’re busy, without even asking why you called. There should definitely be more staff at the front desk. 3. Avoid rooms on the first floor — there’s zero privacy. A common gallery runs right outside the balcony, so anyone passing by can see inside. You’ll need to keep your curtains closed all the time. And if you forget to lock the balcony door, someone could easily enter. 4. Bring your own toiletries — the body wash, shampoo, and conditioner provided are of poor quality. 5. Room phones are mostly non-functional. You can only reach reception or room dining; other numbers are just printed there for show. 6. Housekeeping service is extremely poor. We requested basic things like coffee mugs, water bottles, and curry replacements multiple times, but no one bothered to deliver. 🌅 The Good Parts 1. The view is genuinely beautiful — that’s the highlight of the stay. 2. The property is small but scenic. It doesn’t really qualify as a resort, but you can still enjoy the surroundings. 3. They did change our room after complaints, but it wasted an entire day of our trip (and honestly, our money too). 4. Special mention to staff members Rajat Rana, Shikha, and Rohit — they were polite, supportive, and really made our stay more comfortable and pleasant despite the other issues. 5. Overall, the hotel looks nice, but the service and experience don’t justify the price. 6. If you’re getting the Luxury Premium Room for under ₹10,000, it’s a fair deal. Otherwise, I’d suggest checking out other properties nearby.

🌿 Review of Ganga Kinare – A Riverside Boutique Hotel, Rishikesh ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5) Our family had a wonderful stay at Ganga Kinare from 11th to 13th October 2025, and the experience was truly memorable. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality of the staff made us feel extremely welcome. The reception team was warm, courteous, and efficient — making the check-in smooth and quick. They also helped us with all the details regarding our stay and made sure everything was perfectly arranged. A special mention to Himani from housekeeping, who went out of her way to ensure our comfort. She was polite, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The cleanliness and upkeep of the room were excellent throughout our stay. We were pleasantly surprised and deeply touched by the beautiful room decoration arranged by the team for our daughter’s birthday celebration. It made the occasion truly special and memorable for our family — a gesture we will always cherish. The food at the resort was another highlight. We enjoyed the breakfast on both days and dinner at the in-house restaurant, and every meal was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. The buffet spread offered a good variety, catering to both local and continental tastes. The riverside dining experience added an extra charm to it. The location of the resort is serene and peaceful, right on the banks of the Ganga. The view from the property is breathtaking, and the overall ambience is calm, spiritual, and rejuvenating. Overall, Ganga Kinare provided us with a perfect family getaway — combining comfort, scenic beauty, and heartfelt hospitality. We would highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Rishikesh, especially families looking for a memorable and relaxing stay. Thank you, Team Ganga Kinare, for making our daughter’s birthday and our family trip so special!

Our bathroom was clogged with hair and it filled the washroom with water, that tells us about cleanliness. Dont even wanna talk abouf breakfast service, can do beeter with options they provide. The rooms are really small. Had better expectations.

I was travelling with family and kids. They gave us room that had smoke smell and put air freshner and stopped accepting it. The problem was the staff think we are fools and reacted like its not their problem. The same managers were happy to assist non indians in the most polite way, but not Indians. Not acceptable, Would not recommend.

Sandy from housekeeping was absolutely wonderful. Extremely attentive service, impeccable care of the laundry and room servicing and cleanliness. A wonderful experience thanks to Sandy and his team!! Highest possible recommendation 🙏

Historic Sites
The Beatles Ashram, located about 3 km from Lakshman Jhula in Rishikesh, was once a quiet place for yoga and meditation under Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. However, it gained global attention in 1968 when The Beatles visited to learn about Transcendental Meditation. Today, the ashram features Beatles art and graffiti. The area is a mystical campus with stunning architecture nestled in a forested area near the Ganges.
A calm and scenic place surrounded by nature, with old meditation caves and creative art on the walls. It has a peaceful vibe and is great for photography and quiet walks. But the area needs more care and maintenance. Many parts are broken, there’s no proper seating, and paths are not well-kept. Still, they charge an entry fee of ₹200, which feels too high for the current condition. The government should take better care of this historic place. Worth visiting once for the vibe and views, but it could be much better.

Chaurasi kutiya aashram 🏕 is peaceful and artistic place in the heart of Rishikesh .The Beatles Ashram blends nature🏞, spirituality🛕 and history beautifully✨️ The graffiti and old meditation cells🙂 tell stories of creativity and calm. Perfect for a serene walk, photography, or just soaking in the vibes. The entramce to the aashram is paid and the entry fee 💸is high for both domestic and international tourists. It contains the remains of Maharishi's expansive meditative garden and buildings The ashram presents a serene and aesthetically pleasing environment😊.

★★★★★ / 🌿 “A Timeless Melody of Peace, Art & Nature in Rishikesh!” 🌿 The Beatles Ashram (Chaurasi Kutiya) in Rishikesh is not just a historic spot — it’s a soulful retreat that beautifully blends nature, art, and the lingering legacy of music. Once home to Maharishi Mahesh Yogi’s ashram, where The Beatles stayed in 1968 and composed many of their iconic songs, this place still echoes with creativity and serenity. Nestled on the banks of the Ganga and embraced by the Rajaji Tiger Reserve, the ashram has an otherworldly calm. Walking through its abandoned meditation huts, crumbling stone pathways, and moss-covered walls feels like stepping into a peaceful time capsule. The silence here is profound — you hear the wind in the trees, birdsong, and your own footsteps — offering a rare space for reflection and stillness. ⸻ 🌟 Highlights of the Experience • Historic Legacy: Knowing that The Beatles, along with other artists and seekers, meditated and created music here adds a magical energy to the visit. Fans of the band will feel the nostalgia instantly. • Street-Art & Graffiti: The ashram walls are covered with vibrant murals and Beatles-inspired artwork by international artists. Every corner feels like a living gallery that celebrates music and peace. • Meditation Huts (Chaurasi Kutiya): These dome-shaped stone huts are scattered throughout the ashram. Exploring them is fascinating — they feel raw yet inviting, and many still have an aura of tranquility. • Nature & Scenery: The ashram is surrounded by lush forests and offers glimpses of the Ganges. The air feels fresh, and the natural silence makes it a rejuvenating experience. • Peaceful Vibe: Despite being a popular tourist site, the ashram retains its calm energy. It’s a wonderful place for meditation, photography, or simply sitting under a tree and soaking in the moment. ⸻ 📝 Practical Details • Entry: There’s a nominal entry fee (for both Indian and international visitors) which is worth it for the well-maintained paths and restored sections. • Best Time to Visit: Early morning or late afternoon — the light is softer, the air is cooler, and it’s less crowded. • Duration: Ideally set aside 1.5 to 2 hours to walk, explore, and sit quietly. • Photography: The combination of ruins, murals, forest, and domes makes this a paradise for photographers. • Walkability: Expect a lot of walking inside; wear comfortable shoes as paths can be uneven. • Safety: The site feels safe and secure; there’s a forest vibe but nothing to worry about during visiting hours. ⸻ 💭 Final Thoughts The Beatles Ashram is more than a tourist destination — it’s a soulful pause in the rush of travel. Whether you come for its history, its art, or its quiet connection to nature, you leave feeling a little lighter and more inspired. ⭐ Overall: A must-visit in Rishikesh — perfect for music lovers, history buffs, meditators, artists, or anyone seeking peace amidst nature’s charm. ✨ Review by @the_solo_wanderer_ For more soulful journeys and untold stories, search me on Instagram 🌿📸

Recommended visit time needed approx 2hrs. Costs for foreigners is 1200 rupi. Located in a white corner of the mountain. Very interesting to see where the Beatles spent some time connecting to there inner self escaping all the worldly noise. You just walk around and feel the peace. Birds chirping. You see the bungalow where the Beatles stayed. You see a small gallery with a bunch of photos of the Beatles in the ashram. There is a Small canteen where you can buy drinks and lunch.
Moshe M — Google review
The Beatles Ashram, Rishikesh A peaceful nature trail ideal for meditation and reconnecting with yourself. The walk through the woods is scenic and soothing, though the old huts (“kutiyas”) are now poorly maintained. The ticket feels slightly overpriced, but the calm aura and greenery make up for it. Don’t miss the canteen’s pahadi wali Maggi! 🍃 Wear comfy shoes and watch out for monkeys — a lovely spot for a long, mindful walk in nature.
Garima M — Google review
The ruins of an old ashram in Rishikesh. You can spent around 2 hours to see it around. The stone caves for medition built of the hand picked pebbles from Ganga river is the highlight here. It's not well maintained though. It's part of s tiger reserve now.
Ajith L — Google review
Beautiful place. You will get some amazing pictures in your gallery after the visit. Prefer the winter season to enjoy it more.little huts looks beautiful and view of ganga river is good. Full network area , washroom at entry point and drinking water too. Carry your aadhar card for entry .
Manisha J — Google review
Must visit for all who have atleast heard about The Beatles. It was amazing to even imagine how people must have medidated and lived here. Highly recommend visiting this place. Park vehicle near Janki Setu and walk across the bridge for around 500mts to Rajaji National Park. The Ashram is inside the National Park and has an entry fee of 200Rs for Indians. An ID card is mandatory for entry. Truthfully, it is a shame that such a beautiful place is maintained in such a poor state. Makes you wonder why they are charging such a high entry fee.

The Vasundhara palace hotel is located at walking distance of Janki Jhula Bridge and the Janki Setu. The river area was walkable distance. The hotel is new and well maintained and had a clean spacious look through out. We were a group of 11 persons on a pilgrimage trip on had a wonderful twonight stay at Vasundhara Palace. Rooms are also spacious and clean with all amenities. The toilets were very clean modern and the towels were spotless shower facilities were comfortable. The bed was very cozy, the chairs comfortable and the linen and they were very clean and spot less. The room service was very prompt and quick. We really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast which had a lot of varieties and had multiple options. The restaurant had indoor seating as well as open air and food was delicious throughout. The staff is extremely courteous and helpful. What I really liked is the modern décor and the common areas well kept. Truly a great experience and highly recommended for stay in Rishikesh. What made the whole stay very comfortable was the excellent service at the reception, the room service and at the restaurants and friendly staff.

I was quite sceptical when my agent booked me this place in Rishikesh. I am always wary of hotels that aren’t known brands like Marriott, Taj or Club Mahindra etc. I was however pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hotel. Tastefully done interiors at the lobby, decent clean rooms that are spacious, well equipped and functioning bathrooms that are clean. The restaurant is good though service and speed can be better. The outside seating of the restaurant actually looked much better than the inside ones but the afternoon heat wasn’t a the greatest of times to do that. I am sure that place must be just brilliant during Winters. The location of the hotel is perhaps the best…merely 75 mts from the banks of the Ganges. A 3 min walk gets you there. That’s the idea place to be able to go and have a dip at any time, get there on time for the evening Aarti. The walk to the market place is alarming 5-10 mins and easy to get things you want to buy. Overall it’s a good and economical place to stay if you are on a budget.

Fabulous place. The rooms and light and big. With a balcony facing Maa Ganga (at least we had) Close to everything. With pool right down at Maa Ganga. The staff is amazing. Very helpful, we had a wonderful guy (Pradeep) help us with laundry (so quick, clean) and the rooms. The restaurant has an amazing selection of food. And the Spa is great. Best place ❤️

The hotel location was superb, the food was tasty, the only thing lacking was the hospitality of the Hotel's staffs. Based on the services and facilities, I found the cost charged for the stay was very much on the higher side. The play zone was also not faciliated. It was pleasant to stay there but only the price was very much higher with comparison to the features of the hotel.

A very comfortable luxury place, with excellent view of the Ganga and very helpful staff. The food at Tattva was also excellent. Location is a little far from the main part of Rishikesh, but Tapovan itself is worth an explore. The staff were kind and helpful, especially Pradeep.

Great place and location we (on our return stay we unfortunately ended up with a smelly bathroom but that is Asia and the staff could not do enough to help, breakfast was amazing and we had no problems in getting our (free) safe drinking water topped up over and over ps good laundry service too

My stay at The Divine Spa in Rishikesh with friends was truly memorable. Located right by the banks of the serene Ganga, the ambiance was peaceful and refreshing. The property was clean, well-maintained, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. Waking up to the sound of the river and the spiritual vibes around made the experience even more special. Highly recommended for a soulful stay!

Hotel The Amaris is a charming and relaxed retreat nestled along the serene banks of the Ganges, making it an ideal stop for travelers seeking comfort and convenience. With its inviting multi-cuisine restaurant, Ambrozia, and a delightful rooftop garden café named Gangan, guests can indulge in delicious meals while enjoying stunning views. Its prime location near Natraj Chowk allows easy access to local attractions like Ram Jhula and Lakshman Jhula within minutes via battery-operated rickshaws.
We two senior citizen families checked-in on 13/09/25. Had a very good experience. Front office staff is polite. Food and breakfast was excellent. Restaurant staff was polite and served with smiling face. Over all fully satisfied during our stay.
Sudhir B — Google review
Our stay at The Amaris never even began, and that itself was one of the worst experiences we’ve had as a family traveler. We called the hotel one night before our scheduled arrival to book a couple of rooms. The receptionist assured us that rooms were available after 2 PM and confirmed our request for a 5 PM check-in. Despite our request to confirm the booking over the phone, he confidently stated that the rooms were reserved and we could arrive as planned. To our shock and utter frustration, upon reaching the hotel at the agreed time, the receptionist and manager were dismissive and indifferent. We were told to wait without any explanation and then completely ignored. After finally insisting on a proper response, we were casually informed that there were no rooms available. The same staff member who confirmed our booking just the night before denied any responsibility, offering nothing but a shrug and a flat “no.” The level of apathy and lack of accountability was astounding. No apology, no alternate arrangement, no basic courtesy. Worse, due to their negligence and false assurance, we had no backup. Nearby hotels like Clarks and Natraj were fully booked, leaving us scrambling for a last-minute accommodation far from the railway station, causing immense inconvenience to our family, especially with elderly members and kids. Avoid The Amaris at all costs. This hotel is completely unreliable, and the staff lacks even the most basic standards of professionalism and hospitality. If you value your peace of mind and time, look elsewhere.

I recently stayed at Hotel Amaris, Rishikesh, with my family, and it turned out to be a disappointing experience. At first glance, the hotel looks big and impressive from the outside, and the reception area is well-maintained. I booked a 3-bedded room for ₹5,000 per night, expecting a comfortable stay. However, my experience took a downturn at night. Around 11 PM, loud noise from the adjacent room started disturbing us. A group was drinking alcohol, playing loud music, and having loud conversations. I waited for about 30 minutes before calling the reception, and though they assured me they would handle it, nothing changed. I called again at 12:30 AM, and once again, they promised to resolve the issue, but the noise continued until 2 AM. We couldn’t sleep properly and were extremely frustrated. The next morning, when we went for breakfast (buffet style), we were shocked to see dirty maintenance and poor hygiene. It felt like a low-budget ₹500 hotel, completely mismanaged. The tables were unclean, and the overall experience was unpleasant. In short, Hotel Amaris is all about show from the outside but fails miserably in service and cleanliness. I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel.
Kulvinder S — Google review
Unfortunately, my experience at Hotel Amaris was disappointing. The service left much to be desired—there were frequent delays in basic requests, and the staff seemed untrained and unresponsive. The air conditioning in the room was old and barely functional, making the stay quite uncomfortable, especially during warmer hours. The food was also below average in both taste and quality. Overall, the lack of proper service and basic amenities made the stay far from enjoyable. The hotel needs serious improvements in maintenance, staff training, and food quality to meet acceptable hospitality standards think twice before Booking

I stayed at Hotel amaris Rishikesh for the first time My experience in this hotel was very dirty, the room was not good and was not clean The quality of food was not good. I ordered spring rolls but they were very oily. The service boy did not provide tissue paper. The housekeeping did not have all the amenities. There was neither a dental kit nor body lotion.

Extremely disappointing stay. My experience at this hotel was far from satisfactory. The receptionist was rude and lacked basic courtesy, setting a negative tone from the moment I arrived. The staff overall appeared unprofessional, and the property was poorly maintained. The services offered were subpar, especially considering the high prices charged. I would not recommend this hotel, as the unprofessional behavior and lack of quality made for a very unpleasant stay.

Nestled in the heart of Yamkeshwar, goSTOPS Rishikesh Lakshman Jhula - Hostel offers a cozy and vibrant atmosphere with warm dorms and rooms. The hostel provides stunning views of the river from its terrace. It is conveniently located near popular attractions like Parmarth Niketan and Tera Manzil Temple.
Had a great experience staying at goSTOPS Rishikesh Lakshman Jhula. The hostel is conveniently located within walking distance of Lakshman Jhula and several popular cafes. The dorms were clean and well maintained, the food was decent, and the staff was helpful and kind. The only drawback is that reaching the hostel involves a steep climb. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Worst experience ever! My personal room was stinking, i had ants on my bed, no basic amenities. No value for the high money I paid for this room. It is at a height so i had to park my bike elsewhere with additional parking fees. In addition to that staff is so impolite. The backend team put my contact number on block. Not addressing our problem properly. I wanted a refund for my second day. They wasted my entire first day of two day trip. Money wasted, time wasted.
Sakshi J — Google review
Our stay at this hostel was absolutely incredible! My friends and I had a fantastic time. The 6-bed dorm was clean and comfortable, and the common area was a lively and fun place to hang out and meet other travelers. What really made the experience stand out, though, was the staff. They were incredibly cooperative and went above and beyond for us. We arrived completely soaked from the rain, and they were kind enough to provide an early check-in, which was a huge relief. The manager and the entire team were so welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. I can't recommend this place enough—it’s the perfect spot for travelers looking for a great atmosphere and exceptional service. We're already planning our next trip back!

Oct 11th, 2025 Infected with mold and moldy smell as soon as you enter. A lot of dead and alive bugs even on the bed. Ants on bed. No amenities what so ever. Got very scratchy when took a nap on the bed. Spend many hours with the customer care. NO HELP! They won't let you make your point. If you push too much they might give you a different room or one in a nearby property but don't expect refund for all the time wasted. They don't really care about their customers. They definitely pretend they do. Great Ganga view though.

We had a really amazing experience at goSTOPS. Lovely rooms and great amenities, with a nice view from the terrace. You can easily get scooters and river rafting rides nearby. We paid around ₹350 per person for rafting and ₹300 per person for rafting photography. Scooter rentals cost about ₹250–300 per day, and petrol is available at ₹120 per litre from a nearby general store.

I stayed with my friends here for 2 days and those 2 days are memorable because of this stay. Super Friendly Staff and Super Caring. You can access to Common Area with lots of space, Pool, Table Tennis and Carrom. They also have projector if you want to binge watch. Apart, from that we got access as well where we captured some breath taking views. At last, I recommend this to everyone for there visit

ZERO STARS: Deceptive Listing and Poor Access This booking was a mistake. The hotel photos are pure fiction. Upon arrival, there was no vehicle access, only a sketchy, narrow walkway that made handling luggage unnecessarily difficult. This vital logistics failure was never disclosed. The entire stay felt like a fraudulent transaction. We were given a substandard product based on a false advertisement. If you value easy access, cleanliness, or accuracy in a hotel description, look elsewhere. This place is a hard pass. Avoid this dump.
Galaxy S — Google review
I was at this place for 3 days. We stayed in the room for 2 days and then we opted for dormitory for 1 day to experience that as well. Ambience is amazing. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Food is served 27/7 which is good. There is good space for us to play and chill. We played TT and enjoyed the ambience over there. The only recommendation is that, it would be great if they provide water glasses, cups, kettle and some tea/coffee/milk sachets which ideally should be provided in a room. Apart from this particular thing, everything is perfect, I loved the way they colour coordinated everything which is very attractive. The key system is good idea for us to comfortably roam around individually without any hassle. Wifi connectivity details are shared to us through mobile, so the technology is good. I would strongly recommend it to everyone to experience this hostel.

Triveni Ghat in Rishikesh is a renowned spiritual site located on the banks of the Ganges River. It holds great significance as it is believed to be the confluence point of three major rivers - Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati. According to Hindu mythology, taking a dip in the holy waters here is said to cleanse one of all sins. The ghat offers a serene and tranquil atmosphere, perfect for experiencing the spiritual aura of Rishikesh.
Its a amazing experience to see ganga aarti there. Ghat is also good and clean. Maybe ut could be little bit crowded depending on any special occasion. But still it look peaceful.

Must visit place when you are travelling to Rushikesh. The aarti at Triveni ghat is a devotional experience. Reach early to get a good spot for attending the aarti. In winter months aarti starts around 6pm. After the aarti there is Bhajan where one can enjoy the spiritual connection.

I have vitnessed almost all famous aartis of GANGAJI at Haridwar and Rishikesh during the trip but Aarti at Triveni Ghat is One of the best Gangaji Aarti I have. View of Sunset is just refreshing. And only Aarti where everyone is allowed to do Aarti at Free of cost by the management. Management themselves provide Aarti thalis to many people and they shares thalis with each other so each and everyone can enjoy and participate at Aarti. And story doesn't ends here, Bhajan starts after Aarti and surely you will get goosebumps if you have vitnessed the joy. In short don't miss it if you are visiting Haridwar and Rishikesh.

Truly one of the best spiritual experiences of my life. Felt divine and calm attending the Ganga Aarti here. Too much crowded and if you need good places to sit, consider reaching there early. After Ganga Aarti you can sit at the ghats enjoying the peace and serenity.

Triveni Ghat in Rishikesh is a beautiful and peaceful place to experience the true spirit of the Ganga. The atmosphere here is calm in the mornings and truly divine during the evening Ganga Aarti. Watching the lamps floating on the river with the sound of chants feels magical. The area is well-maintained, and you can sit by the river to relax or take a holy dip. It’s one of those places where you feel peace and positivity all around. A must-visit spot for anyone traveling to Rishikesh.
Sreejith T — Google review
Well managed. Entry is started at 5 pm for the Arti at 6 pm. Orderly queue is started at 5. People pay to offer 'special' puja, and they're allowed to/ are conducted fpr puja before the Aarti begins. It's well choreographed. Quite a spectacle.
Ajay S — Google review
Triveni Ghat in Rishikesh has its spiritual significant destination, drawing visitors for its tranquil ambiance, religious rituals, and scenic beauty. A ghat nearest to the main bazaar of Rishikesh is bustling with people every evening. Evening Aarti at the ghat is very famous, I think because lot of visitors stay nearby.

The Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat offers a vibrant and deeply spiritual atmosphere. The rhythmic chants, the sight of hundreds of diyas floating on the Ganga, and the devotion of the crowd create a truly divine experience. Though it can get crowded, the energy and emotion make it a must-attend ritual to feel the spiritual pulse of Rishikesh.

Shree Neelkanth Mahadev Temple is a significant Hindu pilgrimage site located 32 km from Rishikesh, nestled at an altitude of 1300m amidst the picturesque Himalayan region. The temple boasts stunning surroundings with lush valleys and towering mountains.
An exciting and spiritual trip! The temple is surrounded by hills and forests, offering stunning views throughout the drive. The road is narrow and hilly, but manageable—best to drive early. Temple timings: 5 AM to 6 PM. You’ll park around 1 km before the temple, then walk. The vibe at the top is peaceful, and the view of the mountains and Ganga valley is truly mesmerising. A must-visit for both devotees and nature lovers!

Had a divine experience at Neelkanth Mahadev Temple near Rishikesh. Surrounded by lush green forests and mountains, the temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is one of the most sacred shrines. The spiritual atmosphere here is truly powerful, and the scenic beauty of the Himalayan foothills adds to the charm. The road journey itself is beautiful and adventurous. A must-visit for Lord Shiva devotees and nature lovers.
Break C — Google review
Located about 30 km from Rishikesh, the Neelkanth Mahadev Temple is one of the most sacred and serene places dedicated to Lord Shiva. Surrounded by dense forests and lush green hills, the drive itself is beautiful and scenic — with winding mountain roads and refreshing views of the Himalayas and the Ganga valley. The temple holds immense mythological importance — it is believed to be the spot where Lord Shiva drank the poison that emerged from the churning of the ocean (Samudra Manthan), which turned his throat blue, hence the name Neelkanth (the Blue-Throated One). The energy and devotion here are truly powerful; you can feel the spiritual aura as soon as you enter the temple premises. The main shrine is small but very peaceful. Devotees offer milk, bel leaves, and flowers to Lord Shiva. During Mahashivratri and Sawan, the temple gets beautifully decorated and attracts thousands of pilgrims. There are several small shops on the way selling prasad, flowers, and refreshments. You’ll also find simple dhabas for tea or snacks. The temple is well-maintained, and cleanliness has improved over time. If you’re visiting during peak hours, expect some waiting time for darshan — but it’s worth it. Overall, Neelkanth Mahadev Temple is a must-visit for anyone traveling to Rishikesh — whether for faith, peace, or to enjoy the natural beauty of the mountains. The combination of devotion, nature, and tranquility makes it a truly divine experience.

Neelkanth Mahadev Temple is one of the most divine and peaceful pilgrimage sites dedicated to Lord Shiva. Surrounded by the lush green forests of the Himalayas near Rishikesh, the temple’s spiritual atmosphere instantly fills the heart with devotion and calmness. The journey to the temple itself is scenic and uplifting, with beautiful mountain views and pure, refreshing air. The temple holds deep spiritual significance, as it is believed to be the place where Lord Shiva consumed the poison (halahala) during the Samudra Manthan, earning the name Neelkanth

Beautiful temple, apparently one of the oldest, had a good experience. We went at 9:00am and the temple rush was not so bad. Even though we had to walk barefoot, the streets leading towards the temple were clean. No shoes were allowed so we had to keep ours at a shop which we purchased prasad from. I suggest going early before 10am because it gets very crowded towards the afternoon and evening. I had been searching for a small souvenir of hanuman ji and could not find it anywhere, here I found a cute one and I am so glad. They had souvenirs of other gods as well which was good since they offered variety. I felt calm after the temple visit, wishing you all a happy temple visit

ChatGPT Log in You said: Tell me something about your experience of visiting nilkanth temple Rishikesh ChatGPT said: Sure — here’s a vivid, reflective take as if I had experienced a visit to Neelkanth Mahadev Temple near Rishikesh: Visiting Neelkanth Mahadev Temple felt like stepping into a place where myth and mountain meet. The journey itself was humbling — a winding road through the lush green Garhwal hills, with the Ganga flowing far below like a sacred thread stitching earth and sky. The air grew quieter, cooler, and somehow more alert the closer I got. Pilgrims walked barefoot for kilometers, chanting Shiva's name with a steady rhythm, eyes focused ahead with devotion you could feel. The temple sits cradled between the valleys of the Manikoot, Brahmakoot, and Vishnukoot hills — a hidden shrine surrounded by thick forest, almost as if nature herself protects this place. It’s said to be where Lord Shiva drank the halahala poison during the Samudra Manthan, turning his throat blue — Neelkanth. The energy there? Intense, yet serene. Inside, incense spirals upward like prayers turning to mist. The Shiva lingam is ancient, blackened, and worn — a symbol of stillness amidst the rush of offerings, bells, and voices. The courtyard smells of sandalwood, wet stone, and flowers. A small stream nearby adds to the soundscape — nature and worship interwoven. It wasn’t just spiritual. It was grounding. There’s a kind of silence up there that speaks louder than words — the kind that makes you stop scrolling through thoughts and just... be.

🛕 Divine Experience at Neelkanth Mahadev Mandir ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Visiting Neelkanth Mahadev Mandir was one of the most peaceful and spiritual moments of my trip to Rishikesh. The temple is beautifully nestled in the lush green mountains, and even from a distance (as you can see in my photo), it looks absolutely divine. The drive up to the temple is scenic, filled with dense forests and mountain views. Once you reach, the temple's atmosphere is filled with devotion and tranquility. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, it's a powerful place for meditation and prayer. The vibes here are unmatched — you truly feel connected to something higher. If you're visiting Rishikesh, don’t miss Neelkanth Mahadev Mandir — it’s not just a temple, it's a journey into peace and devotion.

Aloha On The Ganges in Rishikesh is an upscale property offering vibrant rooms and apartments, along with three dining options, a spa, and yoga classes. Situated along the banks of the Ganges river, this resort provides a comfortable stay with amenities such as kitchenettes, spacious bedrooms with attached bathrooms and balconies, and living rooms with attached bathrooms. Its prime location offers access to various activities and tourist sites nearby.
The location is serene and peaceful, right next to the Ganges. Close to the city and yet far. The garden area and the pool area is just beautiful with nice breeze and its well maintained. The service is exceptional with all staff very polite and professional. Room service was always prompt. The food was also the highlight whether at the ala carte open air dining or the buffet everything was made with love. All in all a wonderful experience, highly recommended.

The service was exceptional! The pool and views are very beautiful and the yoga class was nice. The spa was perfect! When we stayed, there were remodeling so it was noisy very close to the room. The room design was absolutely beautiful, however there was a very intense smell of mold mixed with intense perfume. The drainage had some issues and very bad smells came in through the bathroom. The lobby had a very intense perfume smell, it was hard to stay inside and breathe. Several of the common rooms had this issue.

Wonderful team and great service overall. Food was excellent and well prepared. Superb view from the hotel- Always opt for Ganga view, it will make your stay worth. Aarti experience was great too. Nature walk experience was ok. Feedback on - 1. Rooms stay- AC was not working and mold smell was extremely high in all the rooms. One of the bathroom tap was also non functional. TV was non functional. 2. Kids activity area pricing should be relooked as the prices are too high even for small games.

Our stay at Aloha on the Ganges was truly memorable. The location right on the Ganga is breathtaking, with peaceful views and a calming vibe all around. The staff was warm, courteous, and always ready to help. Food was delicious with a great spread, and the rooms were comfortable and well kept. The riverside ambience, especially during the evening, made the experience extra special. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a serene and refreshing getaway in Rishikesh!"

Aloha offers the most serene experience of luxury and beauty all at once. The location is mind blowing. The staff is warm and welcoming. The best part was the food nice veriety menu excellent service (specially chef sanjaybhai ) . We stayed here for 2 nights enjoying well….specially ganga aarti at aloha

Excellent kitchen staff. Food was great, but that’s that. You don’t need to waste your hard-earned money on their horrendous rooms and hospitality. The rooms kept stinking of sewage, toilet fittings were broken, water in the shower was muddy and ran either hot or cold, nothing in between. To top it off, the toiletries they provided had a toothbrush fully covered with mold. Ew.
Shivani G — Google review
Very bad service and amenities .. after paying such a hefty amount for 1 night the kids room amenities are not included in that even they are asking for charges for using there pool table.. my god I have never seen such bad service in any other resort.. so better to go for other resorts. Better than this and in less price….

A value for money is what is CHURNED out of a mid range / luxury property, mainly by the cohesion amongst teams led by Vandana. Alok ji does the Best with resources at his disposal to make your stay memorable with activities ranging from Durlabh Darshan, Ganga Aarti to folk dance performances by lead troupes of UK, on occasion of Igaas Bugwal 2025 And steal of the show for sure is Chef Sanjay Petwal ji, who truly leaves no stone un turned, be it at the Patio restaurant or the Dining hall. Custmisations suit individual palette , ofcourse within permissible limits, but delicious vegetarian delicacies including gulgule, rotana, Thekua - all served during hi tea to celebrate Budhi Diwali urf Igaas Bugwal 2025. Thank you Vandana ji for a memorable stay for a young Senior citizen who has been travelling since 1975, if not across the globe, atleast Kashmir to Kanyakumari and across international borders.

Neer Waterfall, situated in Rishikesh, offers a delightful trekking adventure with captivating views of the surrounding landscapes. The journey from Ram Jhula to the waterfall is a memorable experience, featuring several waterfalls and bathing pools along the way. There is an entry fee for access, but it's worth it for the opportunity to enjoy a beautiful bath at the waterfall and swim in its natural pool.
Yes you want to give up going to this beautiful waterfall in Rishikesh but after some leg cramping track when you arrive at the Main Waterfall which is on the Top. All your cramp and leg Hurt is gone in this cold and whitish Water it's too cold and beautiful waterfall Neer for a reason. Go and enjoy and never give up only going up is hard but it is worth it and when you come down it's in a blink.
Avinash K — Google review
Neer Waterfall is a lovely spot just outside Rishikesh — a refreshing mix of forest trails, cascading water, and peaceful vibes. It's a popular destination, especially during the warmer months, and offers a great way to cool off and enjoy a bit of light trekking. The trail to the waterfall is scenic, with hanging bridges, small streams, and shady forest paths. There are actually multiple tiers to the waterfall — and here's a tip: the higher you go, the fewer people you'll find. The lower level is beautiful but often crowded, while the upper levels are quieter, cleaner, and feel more serene. Definitely worth the extra climb if you're up for it. The entry fee is ₹50 per person, and you might have to pay for parking separately. A few local vendors sell tea, Maggi, and snacks along the trail, but it’s best to carry a few essentials like: A water bottle Snacks or energy bars A towel or extra clothes if you plan to dip in the water Good trekking shoes Sunscreen/hat, especially on sunny days A small backpack to carry everything comfortably The trail is moderate — not too tough, but uneven in places — so do wear shoes with decent grip. Try visiting early in the morning or on weekdays to enjoy the place in its most peaceful state. Overall, a refreshing half-day outing in nature — close enough to the city but still offering a sense of escape.

A bit outskirts of Rishikesh, this is a famous waterfall. There was a huge crowd since we visited on a public holiday. You can park on the roadside before entering the waterfall. Well this fall has many small pools at different stages. You can keep going up to find your place. Small eateries are there on the way up. Sad to see the place dirty with garbage. This is the problem we see everywhere these days. Please be responsible and keep the place clean when you visit 🙏

Worth of visiting .. It's near to Ram jula .. situated in hill .. water falls from the mountain and you have to climb the track along with the water fall ..it's a bit difficult for kids and elder persons. But must trak till the top .. at top there is big water hoge for bath .. Along the way, you will find a small water body where you can sit and eat some breakfast or enjoy a bath as well. Plenty of small dhba type stalls whre Maggie is a prominent option for eating .

Neer Waterfall in Rishikesh is a hidden gem that offers a refreshing escape from city life. Here's what visitors have to say about it: *Crowds*: Can get crowded on weekends and holidays - *Maintenance*: Some visitors have reported poor condition of changing rooms and littering issues. Visit on weekdays or early mornings to avoid crowds - Wear proper footwear for trekking and exercise caution on slippery paths - Carry essentials like water, snacks, sunscreen, and insect repellent - Best time to visit is from October to March for pleasant weather and optimal waterfall flow *Best Time to Visit* - *July to September*: Monsoon season offers a thrilling experience with full waterfall flow, but be cautious of slippery paths *Entry Fee* - ₹30 per head for adults and ₹20 per head for students - ₹50 for foreigners Overall, Neer Waterfall is a must-visit destination in Rishikesh for nature lovers, photographers, and adventure seekers.

Perfect place for short trek and hiking with scenic sights and waterfalls plus if you go upwards you’ll see more amazing sights and clean water ! If you’re going to visit in weekend, visit before 10 or 11Am you’ll get less crowded with non Haryanavi people and more sensible people with some civic sense unlike people of haryana and Delhi with zero civic sense
Shivam K — Google review
Nice place ...Till 2nd or 3rd level of waterfall it is fine but if we are getting charged 50rs per person for entry at least have some maintenance at the top there is no security in terms of crowd coming there (drunk or anti social elements) + no infrastructure to make at least a holding grills without which its too risky to climb up !

the location is quite good, if somewhat loud. the promenade along the Ganges is right across the street. triveni ghat can be reached by a few minutes walk. the nicest part of rishikesh however is up north, whereas the hotel is in the south. rooms are spacious and very nicely furnished. unfortunately they are not kept as well as one would wish. there were technical difficulties galore: TV could not be turned off, shower could not be turned off after first use and room locks you out once a day per default (we stayed 2 nights in 2 rooms; it happened 4 times). cleanliness leaves room for improvement. also the rooms were not cleaned every day. while I don't need a full clean, making the bed and replenishing the (slim to begin with) supply of toilet paper could be expected. also there is a rather inconsistent approach to sustainability that seems to be more of an excuse for cutting costs: they removed the fridge in the room, due to sustainability reasons, but it is completely fine that the cupboard interior light contact switch is disabled and therefore it is on 24/7. same with plastic packaging: no bottled water in the room, but individually packaged ketchup and even spices are fine.

Between September 11th and September 16th 2025, my fiancé and I stayed there. My rating for Room Service would be 10/10. Rakhi is a wonderful person who took great care of our room like it was her own. Your kindness is greatly appreciated, Rakhi.🤗 However, I would like to emphasize the quality of the food and the service they provide. there is one lady Pooja she is terrible and she doesnt even know her job. if I have 0 star I can give 0 star to her. There is a serious quality issue at this hotel, and you need to take this seriously. After eating their breakfast, I developed heavy diarrhea and got sick. It was only on our last day that my fiancé discovered a bug, and we realized it was caused by food that was fried in expired oil. I have not complained to the food inspector, but it is not safe for guests. Most of their guests were not hotel guests but they came only for breakfast. this means they are only getting this quality food.

Booked this hotel from MMT. Undoubtedly one of the best hotels i have stayed. The location is superb, walking distance to Triveni Ghat, with their own parking. Food and service was absolutely wonderful. Hi tea was complementary and they had so many options to choose from. We were even given complimentary front view bigger room. We had our toddler with us and they made sure we were provided with everything that we need for our return journey. We were given details of the Ganga Arti and we're guided by Mr Vijay who was so understanding and made sure we had best Arti experience. Ms Pooja from reception was very supportive and went extra way to make our stay blissful. We would like to thank Mr Vijay & Ms Pooja for your kindness. Now we know where to stay of we ever visit Rishikesh.

It’s a 3-star property located about 4 km from the main tourist spot. The hotel rooms are clean and well-maintained, and the staff is cooperative. However, the room tariff feels overpriced. The in-house restaurant menu is quite expensive — for example, a dosa costs ₹550 and a butter naan ₹210. It’s better to book only the room, as there’s a popular Rajasthani food outlet just 700 meters away offering authentic meals at reasonable prices.

Nestled in the serene heart of Rishikesh, The Classio by DLS Hotels is a tranquil retreat that offers an unforgettable experience. With its understated yet elegant rooms—some featuring charming balconies—the hotel provides stunning views of the Ganges River and majestic mountains. Guests can indulge in modern amenities while enjoying a cozy atmosphere that feels both classy and inviting. Hotel Review: DLS The Classio I recently stayed at DLS The Classio, and I must say, it was a pleasant and comfortable experience overall. From the moment I arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and very professional. The check-in process was smooth and hassle-free. The hotel interiors are modern yet cozy, giving off a classy and relaxing vibe. Room: The room was clean, well-furnished, and spacious. The bed was very comfortable, and the amenities provided were more than satisfactory — including a tea/coffee maker, toiletries, and a mini fridge. The housekeeping staff kept everything spotless throughout my stay.

Shocking and worst hotel experience. The moment we entered, we could smell a stink. Next day we came to know, one of the guest, went to terrace and investigated and found main exhaust which clears bathroom exhaust ducts was not working and hence entire hotel and all rooms were stinking. Rooms given to us were stinking and were so small and dirty. We had booked 3 months in advance still the response from hotel was that they had all rooms occupied. One room out of two did not have AC working. We got room changed but other room's ac was also not working. One room had holes in the wall paneling. Check the photo. What about privacy?? The toilets were so dirty and old, felt like public toilets. Room number 303, 302 allotted to us were road facing and had people shouting, screaming, traffic entire night. So forget about sleeping peacefully. Bath towels were supposed to be white, but were old and turned gray. We went to restaurant for dinner, it was a chaos. Huge groups of group tours had occupied all the tables. Food had limited choice, food was spilled everywhere. Only one waiter overworked was running everywhere. While clearing the table, he was using tissue to simply push the spilled food on the floor!! There was shortage of cutlery, plates, paper napkins. Buffet food which was over took ages to be refilled. Food was oily, salty and pathetic. Skipped most of it. Same situation for breakfast too. All in all avoid this hotel or any hotel by DLS chain. Large group tours book in these hotels as they get massive discounts and their guest cannot complain as they have already paid the tour operator. If your travel agent has booked this for you then your local travel agent has not stayed in hotels by DLS group or is fooled by local hotel agent. Avoid this hotel or any hotel by DLS group unless you have low taste and are okay with stinky hotel.

Rooms are dirty and bathrooms are dirtiest. Don't go with fake reviews and ratings. Even I also book here for the same ratings and reviews. Floors having stains and some food item was stick and dry. There were no shower gel and soap in dispensors.bathroom floor was like it has not been cleaned in 3-4 months. And pillow covers are dirty. Even we ask for few bowls and can you believe the bowls were dirty and have yellow stains even cracks are also there. No fridge no slippers no cleaning. Even after complaining the staff person was saying 36 kamre h mai kya kar sakta hu.And that's the only reasponse and solution they provide. What a disappointment we had that day.

Lakshman Jhula is a famous suspension bridge in Rishikesh, connecting Tapovan to Jonk village. According to Hindu mythology, it is believed that Lord Laxman crossed the Ganges at this spot using jute ropes. The bridge was built in 1930 to honor this feat and has since become a significant tourist attraction.
Laxman Jhula is an iconic landmark of Rishikesh, rich with spiritual charm and scenic beauty. Walking across it used to feel like stepping into history, with the Ganga flowing gracefully below. Surrounded by temples, cafés, and bustling local life, the area still holds its vibrant energy. Currently, the jhula is closed due to ongoing construction and restoration work, so visitors can only admire it from a distance for now. Even so, the atmosphere around is lively, and nearby viewpoints still offer beautiful sights. It’s worth visiting to feel the spirit of Rishikesh and enjoy the riverside vibes. Looking forward to seeing it restored and swaying again soon!

It's beautiful however it's been closed now. They have some work ongoing. The place is serene and you can simply go down 100 200 meters and then sit by the Ganges. It's peace at any point of time. Loved being here

Lakshman Jhula is one of the iconic places in Rishikesh which is currently closed due to safety factors and the new bridge is being constructed parallel. I am lucky enough to witness the walk-on this Jhula on my previous visits, this place will remain forever nostalgic in my entire life.

04/2025: When I visited Laxman Jhula, it was being repaired. Couldn’t explore it the way it was supposed to. The suspension bridge connects two sides of Rishikesh atop river Ganga. The popular meditation spot Tapovan is right beside the bridge. There is government regulated car parking around the bridge.

Nice place to visit but it is very crowded. People push each other. I haven't clicked bridge photos there were too many people roaming there.

Lakshman Jhula is one of the most iconic landmarks in Rishikesh, steeped in mythology and spiritual significance. Walking across this 450-feet long iron suspension bridge over the holy Ganga River is a surreal experience. The view of the river flowing below, flanked by lush hills and vibrant temples, is truly breathtaking. The area around Lakshman Jhula is bustling with energy—filled with devotees, sadhus, local vendors, and tourists. There are many shops selling religious items, handcrafted souvenirs, and delicious local food. Nearby temples like the Tera Manzil Mandir and the Lakshman Temple add to the spiritual vibe.

Lemon Tree Premier, Rishikesh is a stunning premium resort located on the banks of the sacred Ganges river, boasting its own Ghat. The hotel offers breathtaking views of the River Ganges and the Himalayan foothills. With contemporary rooms, an outdoor pool, and a seated terrace, this airy venue provides a peaceful sanctuary amidst the bustling city.
I stayed at Lemon Tree Premier, Rishikesh, with my mother, who is a cancer patient on 31st May - 1st June 2025. This trip meant a lot to us—it was her wish to visit Rishikesh and I wanted her to have a peaceful, comfortable experience. Though I had booked a mountain view room, the hotel offered us a river view room instead. The view of the Ganges from our window was absolutely serene. But more than the view, it was the human experience that stood out. Mr. Raj (Manager) at the property went above and beyond in taking care of my mother. He didn’t just do his job—he showed genuine care. He ensured she was comfortable at all times, checking in regularly and handling everything with warmth and sensitivity. As a son, seeing my mother truly happy—smiling, relaxed and soaking in the moment—meant everything. After everything she’s been through, this trip gave her something she truly deserved: peace and joy. The hotel’s location right on the banks of the Ganges adds to its charm. But it’s the staff, especially Mr. Raj, who made this stay unforgettable. Please do not worry about the mixed reviews. Just drop in a mail to the property prior to your arrival and everything will be taken care of.
Mayank S — Google review
Good food and service. Location is something that is worth the price they charge. The view and the constant water sound of river flowing right by the hotel is exotic and soothing. We found the parking and going down the valley to reach the hotel difficult although they provide EV pick up and drop service. Also they don't have the rooms for drivers of you want your driver to stay with you in the same hotel which felt strange and inadequate given the charges and 5 star hotel category !
Vicky R — Google review
A beautiful property nestled right on the banks of the Ganga River, Lemon Tree Premier offers breathtaking views and lush greenery along its scenic, winding driveway. Conveniently located within walking distance of the main Tapovan area, it provides a perfect balance of tranquillity and accessibility. From the moment we arrived, Chandra (General Manager) and Raj (Hotel Manager) went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, even after the property had sustained some weather-related damage. Later, when an Airbnb booking elsewhere fell through, Raj once again came to our rescue—turning a stressful situation into another memorable stay. All the staff were amazing throughout our time here, especially the spa manager and his wonderful team for their warmth and professionalism. A special mention also goes to Sachin from the Citrus Café for his exceptional service and thoughtful attention to detail. Highly recommended for anyone seeking comfort, hospitality, and serenity by the Ganga.

Located a little higher up in a lovely bushy green area but the hotel actually spirals down to the banks of the Ganga. Also has a lovely, clean pool I used daily. Was a little disappointed w/1st quite bare room allocated, esp for Rs50k for a few days but after speaking to the super efficient Asst Mgr Gayathri about the leaking shower & lack of furniture, 1/2 way thru our stay, we were upgraded to the suite w/sofas we seniors really need. Much more comfortable, although this one still had a shower leak! Both rooms come with a balcony w/a view/constant sound of the Ganga & the opposite river bank where you're able to hear/see the daily evening Aarthi. Huge hotel but not much seating/relaxing areas created & the restaurant food could do w/a revamp. Breakfast has a good variety. However hi-tea & AlaCart is the same daily, w/very little variety. We were also disappointedly not served buffet dinners while there was low occupancy. Chef's happy to serve but could do with some creative cooking ideas. Also the noisy, meanigless music at the restaurant should be changed to some calm lounge music. How about some soft, Indian instrumental tunes? Staff were very helpful & courteous & Gayathri assured us, while this lovely hotel is very old, it's being upgraded phase by phase. We are sure to stay here again. Hopefully, all rooms will be upgraded by then.

Excellent stay with possibly the best location and view in Rishikesh. The property offers possibly the best view of the Ganges and a soulful Ganga Aarti. We were lucky to have a room upgrade with our doors opening right at the fence facing the Ganges. Located within walking distance or maybe a quick auto to prominent cafés and restaurants. A little curvy but easily drive able road to reception. Ample parking space and Excellent food, service and hospitality.

The place was right on the banks of the Ganges — such a beautiful spot! During our stay, there was some renovation and construction happening, so it got a bit noisy in the daytime, but otherwise, the location was amazing.

Location is bit odd. No auto person will come to drop here. It's downhill and steep. Parking is quite ample. It's just riverfront. The ganga river is visible throughout property. Buy u can't go to ghat from here. Rooms are big and clean with a sit out. Bathroom lacked some amenities. The shower handle was broken. Front desk staff are polite and helpful so are the cleaning staffs. Worst part is the service of restaurant. They have very less staff for number of guests there. For breakfast spread, we literally needed to ask for plates and glasses and wait for a plate to come for at least 10 mins. Even the tables are less compared to number of guests. Price is quite high. You won't feel.being in a property like lemon tree literally.

I had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome with their warm hospitality and attentiveness. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and I appreciated how helpful the front desk team was in answering my questions. The room was spacious. Housekeeping did an excellent job of keeping everything fresh and tidy throughout my visit. The location is also fantastic—close to popular attractions, yet quiet enough to unwind. The on-site restaurant exceeded my expectations with a great variety of dishes and excellent service. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and outstanding service. I will definitely be returning on my next trip!

This hotel is so beautiful and clean that I will recommend it so highly for your stay in rishikesh. Also it placed very near to laxman jhula so you can explore near by market and places just by walking. The view of ganga is so beautiful from this place. Even the staff of this hotel is very kind and helpful. They also organize daily morning session that you can attend at free of cost. We also wanted to try their sound healing session but due to time constraints we were not able to experience it. But if you have time then I will highly recommend that as well. There is not much noise once you entered the hotel. One of the best stay experience I ever had.

We arrived to Rishikesh early in the morning after a very long night. After searching for an open restaurant or anywhere to eat, we happened upon Anatalya and went out on a limb to ask if they had a restaurant. The kind staff member at the front said that it wasn't open yet but we were welcome to come and sit inside for a few minutes. We were treated to a beautiful morning view of the Ganges and the kindest staff. The restaurant itself was exquisitely designed and there was even a live flutist playing. The food was delicious, waffles made to order, dosas, freshly cut fruit and a variety of other items. But the real stars were the staff, asking our specifics needs and fulfilling them exactly. Respectful, kind, and genuine are the words that would best describe them. A special shout out to Mamta who, after explaining our travel situation, went out of her way to help us and made us feel welcome and cared for, even if we were there only to eat. Thank you to everyone at Anatalya, you made a lasting impression!

The location of the hotel and rooms face the gangas river (5 minutes to go down there) in a super quite area if you are looking to relax all the way, listening the sound of the river and the wind. The bedroom and bathroom are perfect. The service was very helpful and attentive at all time. The food of the restaurant is also very tasty for lunch or dinner, the breakfast is very local style, they have no eggs or cheese if you look for that, but there are waffles, croissants, bread and fruits.

The hotel is surrounded by mountains and river and lots of greenery. The view brings ultimate peace to the body. Rooms are well maintained. Food is delicious with good variety. And the staff is very polite. This hotel served us with great hospitality. Also they have yoga session in morning which is must do! Also it is in vicinity of market and Aarti spot and other local sightseeing. A must visit to plan stay on your next vacation.

We had a great time at the Antalya! The rooms are very comfortable, and the views were spectacular. The food was really good. The staff was exemplary! Very professional, hospitable and kind! The only negative about this hotel is the approach -- very narrow path. Hope that can be fixed.

If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway, n stay is the last place you want to book. Plenty of better hotels nearby that actually value guests and money. The staff? Rude, unhelpful, and allergic to accountability. Try escalating an issue and you’ll get a masterclass in excuses while the “manager” magically disappears. Breakfast? Don’t even bother. A couple of sad options, tasteless food, and that so-called “buffet” is pure fiction. That “Ganges view” they promise? More like spot the river if you can—it’s mostly mountains. And just when you think it can’t get worse—the property is literally a construction site. Dust, drilling, stone-cutting, and grinding machines on repeat. Relaxation? Forget it. Oh, and bonus: free lizards in your room. 🦎🦎

Pretty great hotel experience. Only issue was some loud isrealis partying late. But otherwise a very nice and lovey hotel experience. Yoga class with Ayushi is great- don’t miss it! Only issue is that it’s so deep in lower tapovan that most autos won’t go there.

Rafting from Shivpuri to NIM Beach- Rishikesh is called 16 km by every operator in Rishikesh, but actually it is not 16 km. It is about 11-12 km by river and takes about Rafting and whitewater rafting are recreational outdoor activities that involve using an inflatable raft to sail down a river or other body of water. This is often done on whitewater or rough water of varying degrees. Dealing with risk is often a part of the experience. River rafting was the highlight of our vacation! The experience was beyond exhilarating, with breathtaking views and heart-pounding rapids. The guides were knowledgeable and made sure everyone felt safe while still having a blast. Don't forget to pack sunscreen and waterproof gear – you'll definitely need it! Whether you're an adventure seeker or just looking to connect with nature, rover rafting is an absolute must-try. Highly recommend it for anyone visiting the area!

The best adventure I've ever had in my life. It is worthwile to note If you want a GoPro video of the full river rafting they charge around ₹3200 for the full video record because you will not be able to use your phone, it will be locked in waterproof bag.

Awesome experience. Our guide was good, as he explained all the instructions well, and explained the spots that we saw along the stretch. And moreover, he let us jump to the Ganges :-D. The experience remains etched in my memory. Must try. Several packages are there, and the rates depend on the distance, I chose the 400rs-18km package, which I recommend for all, who are doing this for the first time, as u can enjoy multiple rapids, which is the fun part. It's completely safe if u listen to the instructions from the guide correctly.
ARAVINTH R — Google review
A wonderful experience. In one word it's awesome. No need to carry a separate dress. The rafting boat providers will provide us separate dress for rafting. Try the cliff jump in the mid way. Also taste the Maggie and have a cup of chai in mid of rafting. Don't worry the people who are taking u for rafting are well trained and experienced.

Green Hotel is a modern establishment that offers simple yet comfortable rooms, an Ayurvedic spa, and international dining options. The hotel impresses guests with its elegant decor and attentive staff from the moment they arrive. The spacious and immaculately clean rooms provide a perfect retreat after a day of exploring the city. With top-notch amenities and a central location, it's easy to access the best attractions from this hotel. Guests appreciate the helpful staff who assist with various needs, including special dietary requirements.
I wanted to share my experience at the Green Hotel. The rooms were excellent—very clean and spacious, especially considering the hotel's location. Its proximity to Parmarth and Geeta Bhawan is also a plus. I also appreciated the staff's attentiveness and the quality of the food. A special thank you to Anurag Negi and Kiran Mishra for their exceptional service. During my stay, I booked a family room, which suited my family very well. For those planning a visit, the easiest way to reach the hotel is to go to AIIMS Rishikesh Gate No. 2 and turn left towards the barrage. Immediately after crossing it, turn left again onto Neelkanth/Parmarth Road. Continue for approximately 9 km until you reach the parking area, where there is a ₹50 fee. You can then drop off your family at the hotel entrance (the staff will guide you). Afterward, you'll need to park your vehicle in the designated area. Overall, my stay was wonderful. One suggestion for the hotel management: consider hiring a driver for valet parking to further enhance the guest experience. Regards, Hemant Das

The stay was comfortable but the property needs a bit of maintenance. The swimming pool needs cleaning. We also ordered food from the restaurant but it was very oily and spicy so prefer eating outside rather than in hotel if you like less spicy. There was cockroach in the room. As per the rate the hotel services needs improvement. Good thing is they have parking facility.

When you stay at a hotel, some people leave good feedback, others bad—depending on their experience. Unfortunately, my feedback for Hotel Grand Rishikesh is going to lean mostly negative. While the staff were polite and spoke sweetly, politeness alone doesn’t make up for poor service. I stayed there with my family, and the main issue was the air conditioning in one of our rooms. Just 5–10 minutes after check-in, we realized the AC wasn’t functioning properly. We reported it immediately, and the staff assured us it would be fixed within an hour. An hour later, it still wasn’t working. They came again and set the AC to 18°C—at which point the room became extremely cold. When we asked them to adjust it, they set it to 28°C and told my parents that although it shows 28, it’s actually running at 22°C. That made no sense. As a result, my parents had an uncomfortable night and couldn’t sleep well. They didn’t wake me up to complain—but they suffered through it silently. This level of service was disappointing, especially when comfort should be a priority.

I recently stayed at Hotel Rishikesh grand and had a very pleasant ,they were clean and well-maintained, which made them perfectly suitable for the price paid. It’s a budget-friendly option without compromising on cleanliness. The owner was friendly and welcoming, which added a personal touch to the stay. One of the highlights was the food at the hotel’s restaurant — it was delicious, and the service was impressively prompt. We didn’t have to wait long for anything, and the quality of the food definitely exceeded expectations. Overall, I would highly recommend Hotel rishikesh grand It offers great value for money with friendly service, clean rooms, and tasty food. Would definitely stay here again!

Zero/0 Star ⭐ Worst experience ever at Hotel Rishikesh Grand. I stayed here with my family, including elderly parents and a small baby, and the AC in our room was not working at all. Despite raising multiple requests to the staff, there was no resolution. I even asked to change the room, but they refused without any proper explanation. Staying in Rishikesh during summer without AC is unbearable, especially with seniors and an infant. The hotel staff was unresponsive and completely lacking in customer service. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and family-friendly stay. Avoid this place if you care about basic amenities and decent service.

I had a very unpleasant stay at this hotel. To begin with, the staff at the front desk — including Lokesh and a female receptionist — were highly unprofessional and lacked basic customer service skills. The room was in poor condition and had a strong moldy odor, making it quite uncomfortable. Breakfast was equally disappointing in terms of both quality and variety. When I tried to raise my concerns at the reception, the lady there seemed completely uninterested and dismissive. I would strongly advise others to think twice before booking this hotel.

Blue Jay Hostel, located in the serene neighborhood of Tapovan at the foothills of the Himalayas, offers a unique and exceptional hospitality experience. The hostel is known for its immaculately clean washrooms and delicious breakfast. The professional and courteous staff ensure a pleasant stay, with no extra charges for late check-outs.
I stayed here twice & I must say it's one of the most cleanest & coziest place you will find in Rishikesh. The ground floor common waiting area is so cozy & spacious that you can easily spend 1-2 hours here while waiting for your check-in or check-out process with good books & activities, games, the good part there's decent set up for office hours. The rooms are cleanest i have ever bought in Rishikesh. Cafe offers quite decent taste. The staff is very humble & helpful to Female solo Travellers.

We arrived a little before 1 p.m. We were told the room would be ready in a few minutes. When it was ready, they would call us. We waited for about an hour and I had to ask for it ourselves. And they said "Yes, your room is ready, you can take key in reception. I'm sorry I forgot to tell you". Simply disregarding the guests. The room was clean with a nice view of the mountains, a hairdryer in the bathroom is definitely a plus, But the WiFi in this room is definitely not a plus. It just didn't work. We reported it several times and were told they'd fix it. And guess what, they didn't fix it and they didn't let us know at all, I had to ask for it several times, so I don't recommend the service at all.

A decent stay overall tbh, dorms room were a bit compact. And the kitchen also didn't have a whole lot of options. But on the flip side a good view, nice terrace cafe. Also, Parking is not as easy so you have to be creative. But if you ask them they will save you a spot.

Overall, the stay was okay. Basic needs were met, but cleanliness and bathroom maintenance need improvement. Positives ✅ Late check-in was convenient Lobby and front area were clean Easy to locate Hot water available for shower Negatives ❌ Pillow didn’t feel properly cleaned Washroom sink wasn’t draining properly Broken wiper in the washroom Poor ventilation in the bathroom

I do know whether they provide room for staff to sleep or not because staff sleep in play area, Few things I don't like about them are First- Today morning when I ask reception for yoga mat, they said we don't have yoga mat. Second - When I entered In play room at around 6:30 AM to do yoga, every one is sleeping here and there on sofas, I felt very awkward to do meditation there because they might got disturbed but I did not find any other place to do so, roof was wet Due to rain. Either you should have one silence room for Meditation or provide yoga mat for meditation or ask them to sleep somewhere else. Also staff behaviour is so casual no professionalism because they are just 18 to 25 age group people. #Clean #NoProfessionalism #GoodLocation #CostlyFood

I had a deeply troubling experience during my stay at Blue Jay Hostel in Rishikesh. One of the staff members, a receptionist named Suraj, behaved in an extremely inappropriate and abusive manner. His conduct was not only unprofessional but also made me feel unsafe and uncomfortable throughout my stay. I strongly urge the management to take this matter seriously and address such behavior immediately to ensure the safety and well-being of future guests. No one should have to endure harassment, especially in a place that promises hospitality and peace. Until appropriate actions are taken to rectify this, I cannot recommend this hostel to others.
Charu — Google review
Before coming to hostel i had high hopes due to pics but the hostel have too many of the problems but good for many. Cons 1. The wifi is terrible in common areas and no signal in rooms. ( Worst Part ) 2. The management is too weak and lousy that they don't know how to run CRM and take bookings as even after checking 12 hours ago they still didn't knew i checked in and for checkout too they still call you thay when will i check out which i already did 5 hours ago. 3. They don't change linen regularly after every stay of any person in dorm. 4. When asked to change linen after staying 1 day in a seprate room they told they don't have staff in evening time. ( What a hostel with no inhouse staff ) 5. No proper parking guidance but the main con in this is they have specifically written in booking time about having parking and all. Pros 1. If you are someone who wants less restrictions in hostel than this is your go to stop. 2. You will hardly see staff so it makes easy to be around 3. Hostel is overall clean. ( Best Part ) 4. location is in easy access.

Extremely Disappointing Stay — Not Worth the Price at All! This hotel is a perfect example of high price with pathetic service. The overall maintenance is shockingly poor. There was no towel rack in the washroom, and the bathroom fittings were loose and shaky. The water flow from the basin tap was extremely weak due to zero maintenance. Despite repeatedly asking the staff, no mosquito repellent was provided, and the room was full of mosquitoes. The bucket and mug they gave were filthy, clearly not cleaned for ages. There was no mirror in the room, which is just unacceptable for a hotel in this price range. The room walls were completely damp, with moisture literally oozing out — making the stay uncomfortable and unhealthy. Overall, this place is poorly maintained, unhygienic, and absolutely not worth the money they charge. I would strongly advise avoiding this hotel — you’ll only end up wasting your money and spoiling your trip.

Pathetic.....Pathetic...It was a pathetic experience, we booked a family room it was at the basement where the room had seepage and bit smelly, at the time of check in we asked for room key but didn't receive it till the night which was really frustrating ,no toiletries were provided, Tv was not working, they did not have the AC remote, elevator was broken, limited breakfast option, overall the service was pathetic. 6k for one night which was not at all worthy as per the services.
HIMANSHU 3 — Google review
The rooms are not up to the mark as shown in the picks, the bugs are all around. The staff somewhere cooperates but fails to provide best service to their client thus the price are really high if we focus on services. Breakfast is also being delayed if there is no crowd for buffet.

Worst hotel experience ever.. -View was blocked by a shed and the window was open the whole time, could not be locked. -electricity outages randomly throughout the night, and every single power outlet was not in working condition. -room service was missing, as we ordered a menu 4 times and no response. -called them three times for a bar of soap and waited a whole hour for that. -lift was not working half the time and the other half it made squeaking sounds. -pool was emtrely unsanitary and no staff available for that aswell. - the shower switch came tight off so couldn't switch to the shower aswell. - THESE PEOPLE STEAL, gave the reception the keys and after the checkout apx 10-13 letres of petrol was missing. (356km distance coverage was shown the previous day and rn it's at 156 km). -Ruined the trip completely.

Disappointing Stay My stay here was far from pleasant. To begin with, the bathroom doors were extremely transparent, offering no privacy, which was highly uncomfortable. The room had visible dampness and mould, which raised hygiene concerns. Additionally, the room was completely enclosed with no ventilation, making it feel stuffy and claustrophobic. The restaurant staff were extremely rude and inattentive. We ordered hookah, which was overpriced, and the quality was very poor – barely any smoke and no one around to assist us, as if they were doing us a favor by serving. Breakfast was another letdown. Despite paying for a buffet, there was no buffet service – only 3-4 limited options to choose from, which is unacceptable for the price charged. Overall, this place did not meet expectations in terms of service, comfort, or value for money.
Alisha P — Google review
Never booking this place again! Had an absolutely terrible experience at SKI Hotels & Resorts, Rishikesh. Firstly, the service is pathetic – the staff is rude and completely unhelpful. Rainwater was leaking into both the room and the washroom, and when we went to complain, we were treated very badly instead of being helped. The swimming pool is extremely unhygienic, definitely not maintained properly. As for the breakfast, it’s just a joke – barely anything is available, and nothing worth eating. There are so many better options in Rishikesh – avoid this place completely if you value cleanliness, hospitality, and basic comfort.
Anant S — Google review
One of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had. We booked 5 rooms for a family stay, expecting a comfortable and pleasant visit — but it turned out to be a complete disaster. • The rooms were dirty, and not cleaned properly before check-in. • Bathroom door handles were broken, and in some rooms, doors didn’t even lock properly. • The smell of cigarettes in the rooms and bathrooms was unbearable. It felt like the rooms had never been ventilated. • Towels were old and smelled musty. Not what you expect from any decent hotel. • The pool area was extremely unhygienic, with dirty water, and no staff in sight. • The ACs were leaking water in some rooms. • Staff were unresponsive, and showed no urgency in addressing our complaints. • Breakfast service was a joke — cold food, limited choices, and no attention to guests. • Room service was almost non-existent — every request was either delayed or ignored. We deeply regret choosing this hotel. It was a total waste of money, and we felt cheated. Definitely not recommended for families, couples, or anyone looking for a decent stay. Management needs to take serious steps to fix these issues before calling this place a hotel.

Ideal for solo travelers or anyone looking to disconnect and recharge, this place offers great value for money. My honest reviews about this property; - Stayed for 3 nights. - Total people 2 Adults 3 kids. - Dates 25-28 June 2025 Best about them; - View from the Room. - Peaceful location. - Food Quality (Veg & Non Veg) but not Chinese. - Family and Kids friendly. - Rooms Prices. - Staff behaviour. What's not that Great: - Distance from the Ghats & Accessibility. - Stairs only ( that too high) no lifts. - Very limited local shops that closes by 10 pm last. - Elderly people find very difficult to reach & step out from the property. What's WORST; - Monkeys in the morning that come in balcony. - Hell lots of insects in the balcony and many inside the room including Cockroaches and mosquitos. ( So avoid rainy season). - Slippery hotel entrance path in rainy season. The above are something that no one can controls but be ready if you are visiting here in rainy season. Rest the property is GOOD.

I stayed here for one month. The hotel is in a nice location, in the middle of nature. You need to walk a little uphill to reach it. Every day there was some construction noise, but nothing can be done about that. I want to thank Vinod and Nirnkar at the reception. They are always smiling, helpful, and very hospitable. (There was also a middle-aged staff member at the reception, maybe the manager or chief. he was not very friendly. When I said good morning, or namaste everyday he didnt even answer just turn his head and looked at his phone all the time same reaction, which was a bit sad because we are guests there. After I undirectly and loudly mentioned it, like after one week I said good morning, he did the same and I stayed there and said again good morning. then this changed a week later. But I think such things should not need to be mentioned.)

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Best Hostel Experience – Shiv Shakti Hostel I had a wonderful stay at Shiv Shakti Hostel. The environment was clean, peaceful, and felt just like home. The rooms were well-maintained, hygienic, and comfortable for both short and long stays. What truly made the experience special was the amazing staff. Everyone—from the housekeeping to the front desk—was polite, helpful, and always ready to assist with a smile. They ensured every guest felt safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Their hospitality and positive attitude added a personal touch to the stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a reliable, safe, and friendly hostel stay. Thank you, Shiv Shakti Hostel, and a big thumbs up to the entire staff!

Got Scammed! We booked dorm in this hostel at lower price, while checking in they falsely claimed that the room we booked is under maintenance, and they had upgraded (priced higher) our room according to availability. This had happened with many of our dorm mates. Also, the staff, especially the owner was so rude. Rooms were ok, I doubt if the bedsheets were changed. Will recommend to prefer other good hostels. The hostel is about 25 minutes walking distance from Ram Jhula (since Laxman Jhula is not operational)

I had a terrible experience at this hotel. The room was dirty, with stains on the carpet and an unpleasant odor throughout. The air conditioning didn’t work, and the bathroom had mold around the shower. Staff were rude and unhelpful when I asked to switch rooms. The bed was uncomfortable, and I could hear noise from the hallway all night. Breakfast was cold and barely edible. For the price I paid, I expected at least basic cleanliness and courtesy. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and will definitely never stay here again. Totally disappointed and frustrated

Wonderful hostel , I recommend everyone to stay there once, it is very neat and clean. Apart from Lakshman and Ram Jhula, there is also sivaPuri Neelkanth Mahadev Temple nearby. I liked it very much. There are a lot of facilities in this budget. The main person wants cleanliness which is more than expected

Terrible Experience – Avoid at All Costs! My stay here was absolutely awful. To start with, there was no water in the toilet, which is simply unacceptable. The condition of the room was shockingly poor – everything felt neglected and unhygienic. The cleanliness was non-existent: dusty surfaces, stained linens, and an overall filthy environment made it impossible to feel comfortable. It was not just disappointing, it was distressing. I strongly advise others: do not waste your money or your peace of mind. There are far better options available. Save yourself the regret – stay away from this place!
Sandeep R — Google review
One of my worst experience. We booked a room by contacting the hotel directly with a booking amount (half of the total) and due to flight issues we have to cancel it and Shiv Shakti team confirmed the cancellation with a refund in 3-4 days but no refund was provided after 2 months as well, they even stopped taking calls and stopped replying to messages. I do not recommend anyone to this hotel.

These guys are running a scam, kindly do not book this property, I booked a room on 4th of october and the rooms were very dirty, I could not stay there for even 10 minutes even after paying full amount, my 2k rs got wasted and I had to find another hotel in the middle of the night. This place is a nightmare and an health hazard, below are the images for supporting evidence

The hostel is amazing, it’s not that easy to get in but when you arrive it deserves. Staff really nice, the view from the coffee in the terrace is stunning and rooms are really nice. This part of the river it’s really calm and it’s ease to arrive to more touristic areas. I will come back for sure

I visited a week ago and I had a great time there. Affordable price. The dorm's beds are so comfortable. The staffs are so welcoming and friendly. They have a cafe on the third floor where you can enjoy your food and the scenic view of river Ganges and the mountain. They also provide you UNO cards, Jenga to play and have a great time with your friends at the cafe. Main market is also at 1-2 mins of walking distance. Laxman Jhula is around half a kilometre from here. You can also rent a scooty here.

This is a fabulous hotel to stay in Rishikesh, the location of the hotel is amazing, giving you a direct access to the Ganga Ghat and it is just opposite Parmarth Ashram. The view from the room is amazing. Staff is very good. The market and restaurants are at walking distance. I took a room where they had a sitting by the window and I could see Gangaji directly from my room and all the river rafts floating by. At night also I went to the Ghat and it was so peaceful just sitting there. In the morning, I saw the sunrise from The Ghat. So staying here is the best option if you are coming to rishikesh.

We loved our one night stay here so much that we cancelled our other hotel in Rishikesh the following week and booked again. The staff are absolutely wonderful. The location is unrivaled, directly on Ma Ganga, secluded, yet close to so many ashrams and sacred places. We loved the stately marble premises, the abundant breakfast and watching the river from the comfort of our room. Can’t wait to return!

Luxury Aloha Apartments is a stunning property surrounded by hills, offering breathtaking views and a serene ambience. The fully functional service apartments provide top-notch facilities and comfort. The staff is known for their courteous and polite service, ensuring a hassle-free stay. The hygiene levels are well-maintained with clean washrooms and sheets. While some towers are owned by Leisure Hotels Group, others are owned by individuals who offer their apartments to tourists.
We booked 2 apartments and we were 11 individuals. Overall the experience, facilities and view is amazing. Although 10 people can fit in 1 apartment there are 3 sofa cum beds and 2 double beds. If you are going with the family and need comfort i recommend you to book the apartments accordingly. There is a kids playing area with many games for them. Dedicated gardens and other activities that your kids can do. There is a nice cafe and the food is good.

If you book apartment, you will feel treated as third category citizens than the hotel rooms. . No room service for apartment. Breakfast 1400 per person , without having much option. You keep calling waiters , nobody listens to you. Parking paid for apartments which was Not told before. Dinner quality was good but we ordered only 2 items which cost us 4000/- for 3 persons. Overall way too costly without any service. Not recommended.

Placed well next to gangaji but room was having issues. The housekeeping staff mopped so badly that it remained wet for 4 to 5 hours post which had to request to put the room mats on the wet floor to avoid slipping. The entry road is also very dangerously broken. As such property is well maintained bur parking is also not well designed. Overpriced
KARTIK K — Google review
Terrible Experience – Unprofessional Staff and Cheating Tactics Absolutely disappointed with the service at Aloha on the Ganges. Their customer service representative Aditya was shockingly unprofessional. He charged us for the booking. We canceled and were promised refund but never sent the cancellation voucher, despite multiple follow-ups. We were cheated on the amount charged. After several attempts to get a response or resolution, there was no accountability, no follow-up, and zero customer support. This kind of dishonesty is unacceptable, especially from a resort that claims to offer premium service. I strongly advise others to stay away from this place. The experience was not only frustrating but also felt like a complete scam. Never trusting this resort again!
Rajiv B — Google review
This place is an absolute disgrace. From the moment I walked in, the staff at the hotel were unbelievably rude and treated me like I was an inconvenience. They clearly have no concept of customer service and couldn’t care less about their guests. The room was a joke – filthy, outdated, and falling apart. For the ridiculous price they charge, I expected at least basic cleanliness and functionality. Instead, I got a room that looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks.

Even before our journey to Rishikesh had started, we were hosted over the call by Ms. Vandana (Ops. Manager), who stayed in constant touch to understand the entire plan and what we might need for this stay at Aloha by the Gnages. She was professional yet gave a beautiful personal touch to this trip of ours. As it was an all-girls family trip, including our mothers of 60 & 50 years of age to a little munchkin of 3 and we 3 sisters, Ms. Vandana made sure that everything went smoothly. Upon walking towards the reception, we were welcomed by a refreshing nimbu paani, a maala and a chandan tika. In all its true essence, this was a nice experience to be welcomed by the Ganges. We were warmly then seated to help us check-in by Ms. Sonika (FO reception), who also later helped us with the formalities and with a bright smile, explained everything about the property, dropped us to our rooms and made sure we were comfortable. We were then greeted by Ms. Garmia and Mr. Vipin Bhatt for our lunch in the restaurant, who helped us with the little one's food specially and looked after us very well with such a warm smile. Until the day we checked out, they remembered us and during our entire stay, they made sure to smile and say hello where ever they saw us, it felt as if we were at home and all these people around us were family members who would in general come ask us how are we and how is the stay going. A great shout-out to the HSK team - Ms. Aanchal & Mr. Akhil, who made our rooms and did a fantastic job. With my sisters, I had a great time at the Patio, and I cannot thank Mr. Sumit enough, who was an absolute gem and saviour to help us decide the food and drinks. What a humble, kind and patient man. It was a privilege to be hosted with open arms by everyone in this property and to not miss at all, the chefs here are putting in some great efforts, the food is not merely food you would eat at a reosrt or a hotel but they give you ART, they bring you the memory of the past without even knowing you would need that, their food is like nostalgia hitting you right on the soft spot of all the love and hugs you would get from your grandparents and in this travelling life of mine specially, I have not seen that enough. All my respect to the hard work the chefs and everyone involved put in to deliver such an experience. The entire staff was wonderful and welcoming from when we entered the property until we left. It was great to witness the hospitality they have for everyone, from an old person to a child; THEY TREAT YOU ALL THE SAME, LIKE ONE BIG FAMILY.

My stay at Aloha on the Ganges in Rishikesh was nothing short of magical. Nestled along the banks of the holy Ganges River, this resort offers a perfect blend of luxury, tranquility, and spiritual ambiance. From the moment we arrived, the breathtaking views of the river and surrounding forested hills set the tone for a rejuvenating getaway. The rooms, particularly the Garden -facing Royal Room we booked, were spacious, elegantly designed, and equipped with modern amenities like free Wi-Fi, a comfortable bed, and a well-appointed bathroom with a rainfall shower. The private balcony overlooking the Ganges was a highlight, perfect for morning coffee or evening relaxation while soaking in the serene river views. The resort’s infinity pool, with its stunning river backdrop, added an extra touch of luxury to our stay. The staff at Aloha went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Special thanks to the team at Latitude restaurant, where the breakfast buffet was a delightful mix of Indian and international cuisines, and the food was consistently fresh and flavorful. The Patio restaurant, offering al fresco dining with Ganges views, was a memorable spot for dinner, especially with dishes like the pahadi kulthi dal recommended by Chef Yogesh. The in-house bakery’s healthy snacks were a nice touch for quick bites. What truly sets Aloha apart is its immersive experience. The daily Ganga Aarti organized by the resort was a soul-stirring event, with temple bells and the gentle river breeze creating an unforgettable atmosphere. The resort also offers yoga and meditation sessions, which were perfect for unwinding and connecting with Rishikesh’s spiritual essence. For adventure seekers, activities like river rafting and trekking are easily arranged, and the proximity to Laxman Jhula (just 1.2 miles away) makes exploring local attractions effortless. The lush gardens, serene environment, and thoughtful touches like high tea and live music made every moment special. While some reviews mention minor maintenance issues, we found the property well-kept and the staff responsive to any requests. The hospitality, particularly from team members like Vipin and Dinesh, was warm and genuine, making us feel truly at home.Aloha on the Ganges is a sanctuary of peace and luxury, ideal for families, couples, or solo travelers seeking a blend of relaxation and adventure. We left feeling refreshed and already planning our next visit. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the magic of Rishikesh

I originally booked two weeks at Hotel Vedas and because I enjoyed it so much, I decided to extend my stay for another two weeks. The hotel is in a great location: very central but still quiet, which is quite rare in Rishikesh. My room was excellent – clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. I truly felt at home. The whole team was wonderful and always friendly, helpful, and ready to assist with anything. You can really feel the genuine hospitality here. I also enjoyed the food – it was fresh and tasty every time. Overall, my stay was fantastic. I’d come back anytime and can fully recommend Hotel Vedas to anyone looking for a peaceful and welcoming place to stay in Rishikesh.

Booked the room but didn’t check in. I asked to see the room before checking in, glad I did, since the rooms are not as advertised. You have to climb several flights of stairs so unless they carry the luggage for you, you’re in trouble. The place is not car accessible. The taxi driver refused to go in and stopped 200 meters short of the location so I had to go get someone at the hotel to get the luggage from the car. For the price they charge it’s not worth it. Even the view from the room is not very good. Other better options available nearby. Ended up staying at a nearby place

The only best thing I found about the property is it's location. You get beautiful view of River Ganges and Trimbakeshwar Temple. Other than that, we asked them to arrange a cab for a day trip to Dhari mata temple and they charged much more than the actual cost, which we found out later from other cab drivers. So beware of that. Also the food was below average.

Excellent Place to stay with your family. I have been to this place thrice & would strongly recommend this property. Rooms are spacious & clean so is the bathroom. It's 6-7 mins walk from the triveni ghat. However, the best part of the hotel is their customer centric approach. We had booked deluxe non AC room and it didn’t look like it was a hotel rather it looked like some third class PG. Our breakfast was also complimentary but they said they will serve after 9 am only, so we left without having breakfast. From outside, hotel looks fancy but from inside its very bad. Only good thing about this hotel is you get gated parking.

The blanket had a bad smell, there was no telephone in the room, and the overall service was very poor. This is not what I paid for. Very disappointing experience – would not recommend to anyone.

The hotel also provides a restaurant and free private parking, along with paid airport shuttle service. Guests have praised the welcoming and attentive staff who ensure a homely experience. The well-appointed rooms offer modern amenities for a comfortable stay.
Had a perfect stay at green view hotel. the staff is very helpful and polite. We stayed at premium room which was very spacious and clean with mountain view. The in-house restaurant had amazing food. Location is walking distance from parmarth ghat and has peaceful ambience.
Isha S — Google review
A Stay Full of Disappointments : Extremely disappointing stay. There was no room service, the interior was poorly maintained, and the staff showed no understanding or sense of hospitality. To make things worse, there were serious plumbing issues that made the experience even more uncomfortable. Definitely not worth the price or the trouble.
Dhruv V — Google review
First- This is not a wellness hotel. The rooms are average - they would be clean but the amenities - there is no fresh toilet paper provided. The so called mountain view is only from 3rd floor rooms otherwise it is not a good choice. Second - the service team is laidback and doesn't care enough if the items needed are provided or not Third - the location is average - while it walking distance from Ghats the area nearby is stinky, filthy and crowdy. If you are going for a relaxed weekend - I DO NOT recommend this hotel at all.
Kritika G — Google review
Pathetic hotel. The washroom smells filthy. There was no water bottle , doormat present in the room. We had to remind them everytime. The blanket was dirty and teared apart and when we ask the reason, the told because of moisture . I was in shock that after paying so much amount, the facilities are pathetic and zero maintainence. There is no parking for 4 wheeler. They even have a rooftop restaurant which serves great food ,but again they don't have RO water. Since past 4 months, RO is not working and they don't care and force consumer to purchase water. Is this a joke? Please don't waste your money. Also there is another property name as green hotel which is good. But don't go for green view hotel. If I could rate this hotel in minus,I will do that.
Pallav K — Google review
This hotel was a major disappointment. From the moment we checked in, it was clear this wasn't going to be the relaxing stay we hoped for. The front desk staff seemed indifferent and unhelpful. Our room felt outdated and poorly maintained, with visible wear and tear, and a general sense of neglect. The "cleanliness" was questionable, especially in the bathroom, and the amenities advertised either didn't work or were completely missing. To top it off, the noise from outside (and inside) the hotel made getting a good night's sleep nearly impossible. Save your money and look elsewhere. I genuinely regret choosing this hotel. It was a frustrating and thoroughly unpleasant experience from start to finish. The room was far from what was pictured online; it was cramped, dimly lit, and frankly, dirty. We found unidentified stains on the carpet and bedding, and the bathroom looked like it hadn't been properly cleaned in ages. The air conditioning barely worked, making the room uncomfortably stuffy, and the Wi-Fi was so unreliable it was practically useless. When we tried to address these issues with staff, we were met with indifference and a complete lack of urgency. This hotel seriously needs an overhaul in both its facilities and its customer service. Avoid this hotel at all costs. My recent stay was nothing short of a nightmare. This place is a dump. The room was disgusting – filthy surfaces, suspicious odors, and an overall sense of decay. It felt unsafe, unclean, and completely unwelcoming. The bed was uncomfortable, the sheets felt grimy, and I was genuinely concerned about the hygiene. Customer service was virtually nonexistent; staff were rude, dismissive, and clearly had no interest in assisting guests. This hotel is a rip-off, offering a deplorable experience for any price. Do yourself a favor and book anywhere else.
CHANNI F — Google review
We were running late and the hotel kept calling us repeatedly to check if we're coming. After bothering us for 4 hours, they didn't even have the room ready. We asked them multiple times for an extra bed in a room that was booked for 3 people. But they didn't provide us. 3 adults had to sleep on the same bed. It was a horrible experience and I would not suggest anyone book this hotel.
Siddharth V — Google review
My booking at green view by green tree was extremely unpleasant, primarily due to the unprofessional and inappropriate behavior of the staff. From the beginning, the front desk personnel were rude and dismissive, showing little regard for basic hospitality. What shocked me most was that a staff member directly asked me for money in a way that felt completely inappropriate and uncomfortable. It wasn’t a formal charge or tip request — it felt more like a personal demand, and it left me feeling uneasy and disrespected. This is completely unacceptable behavior in any hotel, let alone one that claims to offer decent service. The management seemed indifferent when I raised the issue, which only made matters worse. Between the poor attitude, lack of professionalism, and this disturbing incident, I can confidently say I will never stay here again — and I strongly caution others to think twice before booking.

An Excellent Stay in Green View by Green Tree hotels in Swargashram. This is truly one of the best hotels to stay in Swargashram! It has everything you could ask for: * A perfect location with stunning mountain-facing views * Clean, well-maintained rooms and washrooms * And yes—absolutely delicious, mouth-watering food ( Green Italian Cafe ) Parmarth Ghat is just a short walk away, making the location even more convenient. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Vijay for his warm and personalized hospitality—it made the experience even more special.

It's located just beside River Ganga. I loved the stay. Problem: Difficult to reach the location in a car. Talk to the hotel owner for parking in advance.
Pankaj K — Google review
Rooms are not maintained, we booked this property by seeing a 3-star hotel, but it's not as per images shown here or sent by the booking manager. And they are asking to do the full payment at the time of checkin only, just to scammed the people as they already know no one is going to pay that much of amount after checking the room. They shared the property and room picture by saying the room has a balcony with ganga view, when we checked that time it was a common balcony for all guests. People were shouting by seating in the balcony beside our window. You will continuously hear the other rooms noise. There is a water shortage too for washrooms. This hotel doesn't have a proper entrance, you can't take your bike also till the gate as it's inside the residents colony. No proper road to reach the property. Please don't pay without checking property in person.
Pravin S — Google review
Rooms are near and clean, but a bit small compared to average room size in hotels. It's located right on the river edge so views are excellent from the location but the approach road to hotel is very narrow so only two wheelers can reach to hotel location. The river barrage road offers good walking space and a quite time to ganga river. Staff are good and polite.
Vikas R — Google review
Great location, but as there is dam little ahead so ganga coverts into lake. lake front best part of home stay. No in house tea coffee
Hemant S — Google review
My stay at ganga forest view was not pleasant. They show the fancy room photos but the majority of the rooms are small with doors needing greasing. Great point to notice you will have to deal with the traffic and transport to visit main rishikesh city near tapovan for sightseeing and visiting laxman jhoola, it took me an hour to reach the main city, so be aware of this If you order some food, the waiting time is at least 1 hour as they do not have an inbuilt restaurant. Staff is not too helpful, I asked him, if he can help me with a lighter, he totally refused. They do not provide shampoo or bath soap, which you will feel very disgraceful The bedsheet has several dirt spots. Not pleasant. Same with towels. There were no chairs or tables in the room. Electric switches for bulbs were not working, i needed to cover the bulb with a towel to get sleep. The hotel is located in residential area. Negative point. Other persons were also dissatisfied with their stay. I would not recommend anyone to get a room here. Good things Ganga river in front of stay. Nothing else.
Chandan ( — Google review
Super nice place. Small and boutique construction still they got good lavish beds and clean bathrooms. The most amazing thing is peaceful surrounding and amazing Ganga view and that too having a ghat just by the side so you can take a dip in Ganga. And cherry on top is very warm welcoming staff.
Abhimanyu B — Google review
If I could, I would give 0 stars. Not that it matters to the person who works there. The hotel management is horrible. We booked looking at the pictures online. Not knowing there are categories of rooms. When we reached there, we were shocked. Online pictures are deceiving. The back bridge is broken. Please take a look at my pictures and compare before booking with them online. No hot water in the shower. The rooms were dirty. Rooms had mold in it. Toilet wasn’t working. The faucet was broken. It was smelly and to top it off anyone walks in the hotel, front door is open at all times. not safe at all. We asked him to upgrade our rooms and will pay the difference. The receptionist/manager refused to help us to upgrade our rooms and ensure our safety. He was very rude. We had no other choice but to shift to another hotel. I am very highly disappointed!

Nestled in the serene surroundings of Rishikesh, Terrakotta Rishikesh is a charming hotel that perfectly blends comfort with a laid-back atmosphere. Just 200 meters from the renowned Patanjali International Yoga Foundation and 29 km from Mansa Devi Temple, this three-star accommodation features beautifully decorated rooms that exude warmth and coziness. The hotel's design incorporates locally made textiles, adding an authentic touch to your stay.
Warm Hospitality, Great Location & Perfect for Families We had a truly delightful stay at Terrakotta, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel completely at home—warm, attentive, and always willing to help with a smile. Whether it was organizing meals for our little ones or assisting with local tips, they went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The rooms were spacious, tastefully done, and very well maintained. We were traveling with two small kids, and the staff was incredibly accommodating—making sure we had everything we needed for a smooth and enjoyable stay. It’s often hard to find places that balance boutique charm with true family-friendliness, but Terrakotta really nails it. One of the highlights was the location—just a short walk from the local market. It was so convenient to step out for a stroll or grab essentials without having to plan a full outing. Despite being close to the market, the hotel still felt peaceful and tucked away, offering a perfect blend of accessibility and relaxation. The food was excellent too—fresh, flavorful, and served with care. We ended up dining at the property more often than we planned, simply because it was so good. All in all, Terrakotta is a gem—beautifully run, wonderfully staffed, and thoughtfully designed. Highly recommend it for couples, families, or anyone looking for a warm and memorable boutique stay.

I had a truly wonderful experience at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and well cared for. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with all the amenities you could ask for during a stay. What truly stood out, however, was the exceptional hospitality. A special mention goes to Janardhan, whose warm and polite demeanor made a lasting impression. He was consistently helpful, attentive, and went out of his way to ensure everything was perfect during my stay. His friendly approach and professionalism added a personal touch that made me feel right at home. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay paired with outstanding service. I will definitely return!

Terrakotta is one of the best hotel with European theme style. Reception staff is humble and helping in nature. They will provide every details about sight seeing activities and ways to commute via Bike rent or taxi. Food and drinks are amazing. They have attentive staff and service is at its best. Hotel is located at Tapovan in between the mountains and view from the balcony is awesome. At last, Thank You Terrakotta & Staff for hospitality and making our trip memorable.
Veenus M — Google review
Firstly, the room is big enough for a couple and even if they have a child with them, it is big enough. Secondly, the hotel has a good environment and is well maintained. Thirdly, there is a yoga hall on the fourth floor, where there is a lot of space to move around and walk around and the view is also good. The food is also good. For me sleeping in a good room is important because if you don't have a good sleep then your day doesn't go well. Could be bit expensive for some people those who don’t want to spend money. But try to spend some money on rooms and nice hotel. Good sleep makes the day good.
Mickey N — Google review
Loved our time at Terrakotta! We were here for a yoga training and couldn’t have asked for a better setting—the yoga hall was spacious and well-equipped. The staff took such great care of us, always kind and attentive. Breakfast each morning was a highlight—plentiful, wholesome, and super tasty!
Valencia G — Google review
I highly recommend Terrakotta hotel to anyone traveling to Rishikesh! 1. Convenient location close to the bridge/water taxi and market/places to eat 2. Amazing personnel ready to help with any request. Front desk was really helpful and they speak good English. They text you ahead of time and assist in finding the place. I especially appreciate big complimentary bottles of water and additional refill free of charge! 3. Breakfast was really good. Variety of food - Indian food, eggs/omelets, fruit/vegetables, pastry, yogurt, etc. Everything was tasty, beautiful presentation and most importantly place was clean and you can eat there with trust! 4. Room was exceptional! Clean, spacious, electric kettle and refrigerator (working no problem), very nice Ayurvedic toiletries, safe. 5. My favorite yoga room! Beautiful and clean, you can use their props, if you like to practice by yourself. There’s a yoga studio right next door so you can also take a class there for 300 rupees, I recommend this studio.

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel – so much so that we chose to stay here twice in a row. The hotel is new, spotlessly clean, beautifully designed, and incredibly cozy. All the textiles are locally made and tastefully chosen, adding a unique charm to the space. The staff is exceptionally kind and responsive, always going out of their way to solve any issue quickly and efficiently. One remarkable example: after we left the hotel, we realized we had forgotten our headphones in a taxi arranged by the hotel. We contacted the staff, and they not only tracked them down but also had them delivered to our next hotel. The breakfasts are delicious, the atmosphere is peaceful, and the location is perfect—just a short walk from the sacred Ganges River. This is truly our favorite hotel in Rishikesh, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to our friends.

I just stayed 13 days at Terrakotta Rishikesh and it absolutely exceeded my expectations. The rooms are great, luxurious and European Style. The whole staff is absolutely impeccable and very helpful. I visited Tourist Guest house in January. Being a member of Youth Hostel, i booked online. I was welcomed by the smiling face of Mr Bijendra Bisht, the owner. A highly energetic person, he and his team ensured that i was comfortably accomodated quickly. The hot parothas accompanied with mango pickle and ginger tea, made the first impression memorable. Located at Muni Ki Reti, TGH is on the main Ram Jhoola road, and is easy to reach amd spot. Four wheeler parking is available and the helpful staff ensures full cooperation. The Ganga river is a walking distance. Do go for a morning and evening walk, and enjoy the view. Rooms have a scenic views. Make sure you ask for those rooms. There is a slight premium for those rooms. Strongly recommended.

Hotel location is good ,very near to parmarth aashram and Ghat. Hotel is going under renovation. Service was very poor. Room rent is okay, not very expensive. Rooms are not very good. Worst hotel experience ever. No AC remote—because why should you control the temperature of the room you’re paying for, right? TV doesn’t work. Their excuse? “People come here to meditate.” Sure, nothing screams “peace” like forced boredom. Room service? Let’s just say calling a black hole might get you a quicker response. The rooms does not have any window leave alone balcony making it feel very suffocated. There is no place to dry clothes not even rooftop. Very basic but they are charging 3500 which is very high compared to the standard of the room. It should not cost more than 2000 at any cost. It’s certainly no 2 star hotel, don’t go for outside images. Most reviews seem fabricated, I can assure no one in their right sense would give this hotel a five star if they are giving a genuine review. If you charge for something you should deliver too else your customers will feel cheated. Please look for hotels near the ghat, they are much better equipped, have windows and great location with market and food shops and offer better rooms within Rs. 2500 for 4 people.

Nestled in the serene upper Tapovan area of Rishikesh, Anjali Homestay offers a tranquil retreat away from the hustle and bustle of city life. This charming accommodation is perfect for anyone seeking peace, with its quiet surroundings ensuring restful nights filled with the soothing sounds of nature. Guests can enjoy clean and comfortable rooms that provide both privacy and a homely atmosphere.
This was by far the most comfortable place I stayed in India Located in a quiet neighbourhood in upper Tapovan, away from the noise of the main road. It was incredibly quiet at night the best sleep in india, bed extremely comfortable. I would awake naturally to the sound of the swaying trees in the himalayas breeze and the chatter of bird song,a far cry from honking horns and motorbike engines! The room was spacious, the bathroom was clean and plenty of hot water,my hot water boiler broke and with no hesitation an electrician was sent to fix it I felt very comfortable here and could easily have stayed longer than my 9 days Anajali is super sweet and will help guests with anything and everything a friendly family but also intrusive if you want your own space. I fully recommend this homestay Thank you for a peaceful stay.

I expected it much nicer to be from the reviews. The room feels nice, and the location is great. But the bathroom was dirty and the blanket smelled of dirt too, luckily there was another one in the wardrobe that was a bit nicer, although was thinner and we felt a bit cold. Also they hang laundry literally on your window blocking any light to get in. It's been okeyish for 3 days, wouldn't recommend it for any longer, actually there are much better options around for that price.

One of the best hotels I've stayed in, so far. The rooms are so clean and tidy, Very Welcoming and Comfortable Stay with cooperative and friendly staff. Very nice hotel with a classy ambience. Very hygienic food and delicious too. Breakfast was wonderful Value For Money... Thank you to the owner for his great gesture Thank you team Azul Ganga🙏

I recently stayed at Hotel Azul Ganga and had a very pleasant experience. The rooms were on the smaller side, but they were clean and well-maintained, which made them perfectly suitable for the price paid. It’s a budget-friendly option without compromising on cleanliness. The hotel also offers parking for vehicles, which is a big plus. The owner was friendly and welcoming, which added a personal touch to the stay. One of the highlights was the food at the hotel’s restaurant — it was delicious, and the service was impressively prompt. We didn’t have to wait long for anything, and the quality of the food definitely exceeded expectations. Overall, I would highly recommend Hotel Azul Ganga. It offers great value for money with friendly service, clean rooms, and tasty food. Would definitely stay here again!

No soap, toothbrush and toothpaste was provided. No chair was there in the room.Have to sit on the bed only. We checked out early at 10am.After checkout ,my son wanted to use the washroom. When we asked for room keys, they did not agree initially.Later they gave it Corridor light was entering the room through the window.Hence had a disturbed sleep at night.Had informed the reception about this, but nothing was done to correct it After asking multiple times, they finally gave. Room was well maintained.Breakfast was good

The retreat provides a perfect blend of relaxation and spiritual vibes, making it an ideal choice for those seeking tranquility and adventure. With a rooftop terrace, cafe, and yoga studio on-site, guests can indulge in wellness activities such as yoga, massage, and spa treatments.
Such a beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. The staff are super friendly, it always warmed my heart every time we would see them. We stayed on two seperate occasions and can confidently say that the rooms are clean, spacious, and have lovely decor. Very comfy beds too! The location is perfect, being very central but also separated from the Main Street by a few walkable alleyways. It was nice not being right on the main street, and having some peace in the evening. They have a small restaurant too, with delicious food at reasonable prices. There are also endless options nearby for food. I don’t think I would ever stay anywhere else in Tapovan, as this place is so excellent for the price.

Amazing stay, spacious, clean rooms, Building is great, staff are brilliant. The food is fresh and home cooked. Highly recommened this family homestay in the perfect location for Tapovan. Thanks Kalam for a great 6 night stay.
Ryan C — Google review
I was lucky they had a room when I walked in after dark. They asked for a fair price even though they could have charged me more in that situation. The room was comfortable and big with amazing views, the shower hot, the dinner very tasty, homemade on premises. The owner arranged a taxi for me on departure, which was very much appreciated. Next time I’m in Rishikesh, I’m staying here.

I loved every second of my 8 days here with Kalam and his beautiful family. Seventh heaven is a beautiful homestay tucked away in a quiet street but close to everything, you have a good feeling when you step foot inside. The rooms are spacious, views to the mountains are beautiful to wake up to, there is hot water (be patient and it will come). Tapovan is such a lovely area and nearby the guesthouse are a lot of lovely restaurants, cafes, ashrams & yoga studios, only a few minutes walk to the laxman jhula bridge and Ganga river. I really wholeheartedly reccomend you to stay here for your time in rishikesh. Thank you Kalam 🙏🏽
Caitlin C — Google review
This place is in my favorites forever. I stayed here twice. The room is super comfortable, clean and location is super central but not in Main Street - which means silent nights. The staff is from another world. I was sick and Kalam took me to the hospital and was super attentive asking me if I needed something. I will be eternally grateful for this. So if you want a place that is good by itself and have the best people, this is it.

I had an amazing experience at Seventh Heaven. Tucked away in a quiet street, the place feels like an oasis amongst the business of Rishikesh. Very comfortable rooms, I slept well and the wifi connection allowed me to work from my room as well. Although you hear construction noise as just about everywhere in this city, it feels like a bubble in itself, especially because of the incredibly kind host family. They radiate such kindness and joy – the place would not be the same without them. The only thing I regret is not having any food there as I heard it’s amazing and prepared with love. Next time! 😊🙏🏻

I have traveled a lot through India and had a truly exceptional experience here. The staff are very courteous and take care of every issue immediately. The food is delicious and inexpensive and served on time if you order in advance. A beautiful little hotel in a central location that I can only recommend.

Can 100% recommend to stay at this place. Its location is really central - many Cafés and restaurants in walking distance aswell as the beautiful riverside of Ganga. The rooms are nice and clean, food in their own restaurant is really tasty and prepared freshly and with love and the staff is super welcoming and caring. Initially me and my friend planned to stay for 4 nights and ended up staying 11 - so that already says enough. But one more thing needs to be mentioned: the morning yoga class (which is included in the rate for the room) is amazing! Sachin is teaching so skillfully - I appreciate the authenticity and simplicity of his classes and can’t wait to be back 🙏🏼
Femke H — Google review
We found this gem via a blog on online and we’re so grateful we did. The rooms were nice and clean, quiet and they have hot showers which was a lovely change of pace after the stays before. They have yummy chai and free yoga 7-8, thank you Rudram for being so welcoming!

This review is long overdue! The location of this hotel is perfect right between upper and lower tapovan and its on a quiet street. However, the best part are the people who work here, I got sick and they brought me food/water and checked uo on me. They went out of their way and really helped me. I stayed here for 7 days and would stay here again. The yoga is also a huge plus!
Rebekah R — Google review
The hotel was good, the room was clean and the staff were very friendly. Air conditioning costs extra and it was very noisy because of the main road. I would stay here again, it was a nice experience.

Fantastic Stay at Rudram Hotel Yoga & Ayurveda Retreat in Rishikesh! We spent an unforgettable 10 days in Rishikesh, staying at the Rudram Hotel Yoga & Ayurveda Retreat, and we are absolutely delighted! From the moment we arrived, we felt that this place has an extraordinary, positive energy. The hotel is very pleasant and cozy, and the atmosphere is wonderfully conducive to relaxation. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful, always ensuring our satisfaction. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and quiet, which allowed us to completely disconnect from the city hustle and truly unwind. The restaurant serves delicious, fresh meals, prepared on the spot, which was very important to us. However, the biggest highlight of our stay was the daily yoga sessions with Sachin. This was absolutely the best start to every day! For us, it was an initiation into yoga, and it's the most wonderful memory we're taking home from India, held dear in our hearts. We highly recommend it! I also highly recommend the masseuse, who massaged me several times, putting so much good energy and heart into her work. Thank you for this wonderful time! 🙏 Namaste

Exceptional Experience at Rudram Hotel Yoga and Ayurvedic Retreat I recently had the pleasure of staying at Rudram Hotel Yoga and Ayurvedic Retreat in Rishikesh, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. The true gem behind this retreat is its owner, Dinesh Singh, who embodies the spirit of hospitality and support. From the moment we arrived, Dinesh went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. His unconditional support and cooperation were evident in every aspect of our visit. When we needed a larger vehicle during our travels, he arranged it for us at a remarkably affordable price, which was hard to find elsewhere. What truly stood out, however, was his understanding and flexibility when we had to cut our stay short due to a family emergency. Despite having booked for three days, he didn't charge us extra for the unused day, showcasing his genuine concern for his guests' well-being over commercial gain. The food at Rudram was amazing, and the staff were incredibly cooperative, adding to the warmth of our experience. Dinesh's courtesy and support made us feel extremely grateful and valued. For anyone looking for a genuine retreat experience in Rishikesh, I highly recommend Rudram Hotel Yoga and Ayurvedic Retreat, primarily for the exceptional service and heart of its owner, Dinesh Singh. His dedication to his guests' comfort and happiness is truly commendable. Recommendation: If you're seeking a retreat that offers more than just a place to stay but a genuinely supportive and caring environment, Rudram is the place to be.

I loved the location. It was on a quieter street with less traffic. We could leave the window open at night. It is 5 minutes to the Ganga and 5 minutes to Laxman Jhula. Our hotel room was large. The fan/air conditioner was great. There was a small wardrobe and a small desk with a TV. There was a housekeeping service daily if you wanted. They have dining options at 150 rupees per meal per person. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay again.

The spacious rooms come with lovely balconies, allowing guests to soak in the stunning views of the Ganga and Rishikesh from the rooftop café, which serves breakfast amidst breathtaking scenery. This place beautifully blends rustic elegance with nature's tranquility, creating a homely atmosphere that many travelers cherish.
Its like living with nature! The rooms and the whole hotel has a rustic and classy feel. Everything in the hotel has been tastefully done. The terrace has a wonderful view of hills and holy Ganga! The staff and owner are extremely courteous. They don’t have a kitchen but they told us that in advance, and there are many eating places just 10 to 50 m away from the hotel. You can get freshly made tea coffee in the hotel though! The feel of the place is very home like ! The hotel is at a certain height , if you have elderly in your family, they may have to climb just a little bit, but your car can go easily, so that’s ok. They also have a yoga room for everyone to access! Overall we had a great stay and would come back for sure.

They have a total of 5 rooms . Nice location and surrounding. But the owner is least bothered. He is not interested in hospitality. Restaurant does not work. Their driver who acts as owner in the real owners absence is rude. There are better options to stays in tapovan. Can be avoided. Rooms are old and average. They have a cactus right in the centre which is huge and definitely an item to be clicked.
Prateek G — Google review
Just came back home and already missing that beautiful and calm place. You can enjoy the mesmerizing view (Ganges and Mountains), especially on the roof top. Amit Bhaiya was very helpful and the rooms are good and clean. If you are a nature lover, High Bank Peasants Cottage is the place for you. What attracted me more was Timroo - the cute Labrador <3 He is very playful and welcoming. However, the washrooms need to me well maintained. Overall an amazing experience.
Priyanka D — Google review
Located at Tapovan, this place is more like a home turned guest house. Though the building is old the host has tried to maintain it well. The best part of staying here is the landscaping and greenery. Despite being surrounded by hustle bustle the inside is calmingly quite. Rajeev’s hospitality is amazing as he makes you feel like home. Even the food from their kitchen ( Rari’s) feels like home food. We tried pahadi chicken dry and it was amazing. Since the place is located a little higher you can sit on the terrace and watch the town of rishikesh with ganga and the view is mesmerising. Last but not the least their pet ‘Timru’ is real friendly and playful. Also, the place is adjourned by a huge cactus plant almost (25-30 feet) which the host claims to be the biggest cactus plant in the world (not very sure about it though). Its a great place to stay for a budget traveller, however some part of the building need maintenance.
