Little Buddha Cafe in Rishikesh offers a beach shack vibe with a stunning view of the Ganges and hills. The menu features a variety of global cuisines such as Indian, Italian, Israeli, Mexican, and Tibetan. Vegan options are available upon request, including the popular mango lassi with coconut milk. The cafe is known for its delicious breakfast options like sweet and savory pancakes, including the scrambled tofu pancake.
I had a wonderful experience at Little Buddha Cafe! I ordered the Little Buddha Breakfast along with a lemon mint tea, and both were absolutely delightful. The breakfast was well-balanced, filling, and beautifully presented. The lemon mint tea was refreshing and paired perfectly with the meal. The cafe has a peaceful, laid-back vibe with a stunning view overlooking the Ganga river—perfect for a relaxing meal. The staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive, which made the experience even better. Service was prompt, and everyone was genuinely friendly. If you're in Rishikesh and looking for a place with good food, great service, and a scenic riverfront view, Little Buddha Cafe is a must-visit!

e had a lovely time! The vegetable momos and rice noodles were absolutely delicious—flavorful and satisfying. We also tried the kombucha and a smoothie, which were okay but could be improved. The paneer chilly and the fruit pancake rounded off the meal nicely. Overall, a cozy and enjoyable experience with good food and great vibes.
Neha A — Google review
We had the grill tofu salad, little Buddha special and Mexican breakfast. The food was so good and freshly served!! We enjoyed the view to the Ganga River and the atmosphere. The stuff was so nice to us
Michal R — Google review
The cafe is situated at a very scenic point from where the view of Ganga is beautiful. However, our experience of the cafe with regards to food and service was not great. We ordered their Falafel all, tomato soup, momos and brownie with ice cream. Brownie and soup were good but the other 2 were disappointing. The service as well wasn’t great as we had to repeatedly ask for our orders including water bottles.
Pawan K — Google review
Best view, best food staff was very brilliant. 🤩 fresh juices. We enjoyed all the items we ordered. Must try this cafe❤️
Kunal G — Google review
For expereince you can visit this place but its just one time visit, you wont get good parking space and the entry is congested. I feel it was more hyped on the internet than it acutally deserves. The food was average, only thing that stands out is the view from this cafe. Bring your own plates if you are coming with few of your freinds as they will not bring the plate to serve until you ask them, they just bring the food and no plates to serve among the people you are with.
Anubhav S — Google review
Nice view, seatings with cushions where you can relax and eat but in summers they need to install more fans to make areas comfortable. Food is better than average and service is fine. It's a busy place bcz of the ambience. Overall good.
Manisha J — Google review
The place is very famous for it's view of the Ganges while dining. The place is clean and tidy. Food options are good. It's a little pricy for the portion size. Staff is good. Overall a decent experience.

Nestled in Rishikesh, Om Freedom Cafe is a vibrant and welcoming spot with a cheerful entrance adorned in lively colors. The interior exudes a laid-back Goan cafe vibe, featuring wooden furnishings, tropical ambiance, and hanging plants that create an inviting and relaxed atmosphere. Visitors are encouraged to linger as long as they desire, whether it's for reading, napping, socializing with other guests, or engaging in creative activities without interruption.
Everything about this place was just perfect. It is on the banks of Ganga. So many variety of foods. They have veg and vegan options. Price is good for the amount of food they give. Amazing ambience and seating areas.
Siddharth D — Google review
Loved the cool breeze and the unique vibe of the place — seating is divided across two / three floors with floor mattresses on upper floor, giving it a cozy, laid-back feel. The view is refreshing and adds to the chill atmosphere. We ordered the Special Freedom Pizza, Coffee Latte, Falafel Platter, and a Choco-Berry Dessert. While the food was average in taste, the pricing is economical, making it a budget-friendly hangout spot.
Neha A — Google review
My love for this place is eternal. They offer a wide variety of options to choose from. Food is good, the views are killer. Freedom cafe is clearly a must to do when in Rishikesh. Trust me you cannot miss this. There are different seating arrangements available, and the service staff is really courteous.
Shagun T — Google review
It a nice cafe with good food but slightly overrated. There is a queue to get the seat in season time and 25-30 mins waiting time for your food once you order it so keep the time in mind before going We ordered a paneer shintzel and quesadilla and also a pasta and which were decent not very great. The drinks were good. Try lemon nara for sure very fresh and refreshing
Raunak C — Google review
✨ The place has such a good vibe! The food was great too — we tried Arrabbiata Pasta, Falafel, Cold Coffee, Fresh Lime Soda, Mushroom Omelette, All-Veg Burger, and Mashed Potatoes with Fried Mushroom & Onion, Hot Chocolate! Everything except the mashed potatoes was really good! We even played a few rounds of UNO and had a lovely time. Definitely recommend this place! 💯
Kirti K — Google review
Apart from the good Ganga view, everything else about this café was disappointing. The food quality was terrible — the potato wedges were clearly fried in old, dirty oil and looked stale. Every dish we ordered tasted bad and seemed hastily prepared. The service was equally poor; the staff were rude, unprofessional, and showed no sense of hospitality. If you’re going there just to enjoy a cup of coffee with a nice view, that’s fine. But if you’re expecting a good meal or pleasant service, I’d strongly recommend skipping this place. Definitely not worth the visit.
Sameer V — Google review
The Om Freedom Café has worked hard to create a reliable brand. It's justly famous. Its riverside location, of course, does half the job. Its designers and the kitchen have done the rest. The seating in 6 different spaces at different levels, has 180°magical river, mountain and Laxman Jhula views. Two of the levels literally hang over the river. The menu is truly vast and has backpacker favourites like porridge and pancakes, Italian, Chinese, Israeli, Continental and Indian cuisine. Not to forget the bakery counter. The mandatory banoffee pie is there as well as Hello to the Queen. While partaking of Banofee Pie with Icecream, I was kept entertained, not just by the riverside scenes of boats and raftings, but also a pesky bunch of langurs, stealing food from diners! It was hilarious.
Saurabh — Google review
Freedom Cafe, Rishikesh A Must-Visit for Romantic Views Freedom Cafe in Rishikesh is a truly captivating spot, perfect for a romantic evening by the Ganga river. The location is incredibly atmospheric, situated right by the riverside, it offers a magical and romantic night view that’s simply breathtaking. The overall atmosphere is very "cool" and relaxing, making it an ideal place to unwind. The culinary experience matches the stunning setting. The food is absolutely "yummy," and the great service ensures a pleasant dining experience. You’ll feel well looked after by the attentive staff. However, be prepared for its popularity. This cafe is in high demand, meaning booking a table is necessary and you should expect a significant wait, often around an hour or more, especially during peak hours. But trust me, once you secure your spot and soak in the beautiful surroundings with delicious food, the wait will feel entirely worth it. Freedom Cafe is highly recommended for its perfect blend of great food, excellent service, and unforgettable romantic views.

Bistro Nirvana is a charming and laid-back cafe nestled amidst lush greenery in Rishikesh. The rustic ambiance, featuring furniture crafted from bamboo, mud, and clay, creates a unique setting for visitors to enjoy vegetarian Indian snacks and beverages.
The success of a restaurant is merely not on the taste of the food alone, but also the warmth from the crew members and the wonderful ambience. Bistro Nirvana excels with exceptional service from the crew members, lipsmacking food and the lovely ambience would be the cherry on the cake. I visited their place a number of times during winter last year, and I must say that the dining experience was something to cherish and remember. I tried their Briyani, most of soups, the ginger garlic veg gravy and their fried rice. All were super good. Highly recommended for those looking for great food and a place to just chill-out. Hope to return someday soon.

We went for dinner here on a Friday and luckily found a place to sit without waiting. Food was really nice and we enjoyed all the dishes especially the Shahi Paneer and their special Biryani. Those who don't like spiciness please avoid their mushroom dish in main course. Service was a bit delayed but it's justified as the place was full. And they have indoor as well as outdoor seating. Enjoy your trip in Rishikesh! Hakuna Matata! 🌞🕉️🌻

Pumpkin soup was good, more thin than thick. Will need another dish with the pumpkin soup. I got sautéed vegetables and that was enough. They had a soy latte :) Pizza had a unique dark crust.

Guests can indulge in delicious meals while being treated to the tranquil ambiance of the flowing river. This cafe has such a beautiful view and lots of comfortable seating. The guys that work there were super friendly and relaxed but also super professional. We had lemon sodas and the falafel plate and it was delicious- the chips were insanely good!! Really good value and prices too. It was a shame we only came across this cafe at the end of our time in Rishikesh as we would have come more than once!

I've been a few places, and this is a good one. Clean kitchen, my special order (big hummus with big salad only) was the best order in three weeks. Peaceful place, good atmosphere, very friendly staff, amazing view and location right next to Ganges, very good prices. I don't know what more to ask for. This is also where Yogi is to be too.

Amazing way to start your morning with masala omlet, butter toast and Chai. The chai here is flavourful with perfect ganga view. I'm coming here after several years and it still has maintained the taste. Would request the owner to include bun maska in their menu 😋 if possible.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Delicious & Refreshing Experience! Tried this café recently and I was seriously impressed! The Thukpa was full of flavor—comforting, hot, and perfect in spice. The Soup Momos were soft, juicy, and served in a rich, flavorful broth—easily one of the best I’ve had! To top it off, the Mojito was super refreshing and the perfect balance of mint, lemon, and fizz. The ambiance was cozy and relaxing, and the staff was warm and welcoming. If you’re in the area and craving soulful Himalayan-style food with a chilled vibe, don’t miss this place. Highly recommended!

Had dinner at “Cafe Karma” recently, and it’s such a lovely little spot. The place has a charming, rustic feel with old-school artifacts and simple decor that make it super cozy. Surrounded by greenery and the soothing sound of a water stream, it’s the kind of place where you can really unwind—great for a peaceful dinner or just some quality time. One of the best parts? They welcomed my “fur baby” with open arms and even treated him kindly—major brownie points for being pet-friendly! The staff were polite, friendly, and quick to respond, which definitely added to the overall good vibe. We ordered the dal and handi paneer. The food was alright—not amazing, but decent enough. Given the chill atmosphere and reasonable prices, I didn’t mind. If you're after a calm, welcoming place with great vibes (and a spot your pet will love too), Cafe Karma is definitely worth checking out. Rating: 4/5

Giving a detail review: The cafe has antique objects and old seats. They've used all the old objects in a smart way to decorate the restaurant. 1. Staff are polite and friendly. 2. Food was hot and served great. 3. We had ordered starters including soups and noodles. The quality and the taste was good 4. May be due to covid the place was not maintained well. 5. Honey chilly potato is a must try. 6. Price is okay.

The cafe features a diverse menu including breakfast, soups, Indian, and Israeli cuisine. With its vibrant cushions and wall hangings, it's an ideal place to relax by the Ganges.
I found this cosy spot looking for a tea nightcap and was welcomed by the staff even though it was close to closing time. The set up is very comfortable and has beautiful views of the ganga, along with chill music to get lost into. My tea and Nutella chipati was perfect for why I needed and served in 5 minutes despite the menu explaining service may take 20-30 minutes. I will go back.

You enter this cafe and get hypnotized by the view of the beautiful ganga river. The set up and the music will instantly take you to a diff zone altogether. Its peaceful and calm. Though the food we ordered was disappointing, the ice tea was a great disaster too but ewe dint complain just coz the ambience was worth staying for. The staffs were helpful and welcoming

One of the best parts of Rishikesh trip was discovering this cafe. The seating is simply soft comfortable cushions on the floor with wooden tables in front of you. The lights, decor and the bamboo thatched roof give off an entirely different vibe. The best part is the view of Ganga and the beautiful sunset view. The food is delicious, especially the pizzas are one of the best I've ever had. Can't wait to visit again.

Food and ambience was great but the staff was really rude and not at all friendly. Lots of mosquitoes and the staff didn’t know what to do with it. Service was really slow even though there was just one other guest. Highly recommend the broccoli platter

Very nice restaurant/ place to have the perfect coffee and relax. Also the food and the service is very good! I went here everyday of my stay, for 18 days in a row, just perfect! 👌🏼🤩 (favo dish; pocket pita with eggplant, feta cheese, hummus and tomato 🤤)

This places easily serves the best coffee in Rishikesh. We went there everyday for coffee and food, but explored other cafes for food as well. The food here is delicious and healthy, the ambience is welcoming, there is a small selection of books outside to read from. The space indoors is small so on a hot day make sure to get there before peak hours to find the higher tables to sit on.
Devyani S — Google review
A café unlike any other I've seen. Located in a cul-de-sac in a quiet part of town, it's in a large, lush garden filled with trees, bushes and lawns. There's a small, indoor dining space, but few people prefer that. The vast majority sprawl on tables across the garden in a variety of different seating. The menu is vast and eclectic, strong on vegan preferences but also serves eggs and omelettes. The americano I ordered was really good coffee. The vegan porridge bowl I'd for breakfast was good enough for two. The helpings are really large. The food is at good value-for-money prices. It's a great place to linger from breakfast to dinner.

My favorite café in India! This place became my little sanctuary. It’s beautiful, peaceful, and surrounded by nature — with butterflies, monkeys, and stunning trees all around. The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming, and the café is tucked away from the noise of the city, which makes it the perfect spot to relax or recharge. I’ve been in Rishikesh for a month and came here every single day — sometimes even twice a day 🙈🙉🙊 It’s that special. I truly recommend this place. My favorite things to order: • Almond latte with 2 shots (big mug!) • Adaptogenic smoothie • Golden milk with almond milk • Spinach & mushroom pancake • The chocolate & raspberry cake • The carrot cake (so good!) Thank you for creating such a nourishing space — full of good food, good energy, and a lot of heart. * special mention to Viplav for his smile and respectful approach, he is one of the more beautiful people that I’ve met in India. Namaste 🙏 I will be back! With love, Sofía.

I visited OM Shanti Shanti Café after reading great things, and it truly lived up to the name, It’s a peaceful gem in the heart of Rishikesh! I originally stopped by for a drink and was warmly welcomed with kind smiles and great energy. To my surprise, the café now offers free morning meditation and yoga sessions for customers, a beautiful touch that adds to the whole experience. The menu is extensive and full of delicious options, so whether you’re after healthy eats or a refreshing drink, they’ve got you covered, however, what really sets this place apart is the absolutely breathtaking view of the Ganga River. I found myself lounging on their comfy pillows, sipping a cold drink, and just soaking in the peaceful vibes. It’s the perfect spot to unwind. Everyone at the café made me feel genuinely welcomed and valued, and the relaxed, soulful atmosphere makes it a place I’ll definitely be coming back to. Note that the entrance isn’t immediately obvious, as it’s tucked behind a shop. But once you’re nearby, just ask around and locals will happily point you in the right direction. A must-visit spot in Rishikesh for good food, good vibes, and soul-soothing views.

A Spiritual Hideaway on the Banks of Maa Ganga! If you’re visiting Rishikesh and searching for a place that brings together peace, good food, divine energy, and breathtaking view of maa ganga — look no further than Cafe Om Shanti Shanti. The view here is absolutely breathtaking – the mighty river flows right beside you, offering a sense of calm that’s hard to describe in words. The atmosphere is deeply spiritual. At the heart of the space stands a beautiful idol of Lord Shiva, radiating peace and grounding energy that fills the entire cafe. Whether you’re there to meditate, read, or simply take a break from the world, this place wraps you in tranquility. The food is wholesome and delicious, made with love and served with warmth. “A Hidden Gem by the River” If you’re in Rishikesh, Om Shanti Cafe is a must-visit! This place is a perfect blend of a serene ambiance, stunning views of the Ganga, and delicious food. The moment I walked in, I was captivated by the laid-back atmosphere. I tried their Avocado 🥑 Smoothie and it was absolutely delightful. The menu has a good variety of options, from healthy smoothies to foods like pastas and pizzas. The Vegetable Sandwich 🥪 was a highlight for me—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The best part? The riverside view! Whether you’re meditating on the sound of the flowing Ganga or simply enjoying the sunset, this cafe gives an experience that’s both rejuvenating and soulful. Great spot to unwind, work on your laptop, or just chill with a book. Highly recommend this place if you’re in Rishikesh—an absolute gem for foodies and travelers alike!

One of the best Chinese cuisine available in city which is comparable to all major cities in country. Even starters like dahi ke Sholay was good. Quantity is really good. Dining space is plenty with a small garden like area with a swing where kids can enjoy.

You're really paying for the view! In words of a wise person: if you're there for views, get a drink and sip the beauty. Otherwise if you're for food, get food some place else. A bill of whopping 1700 for Paneer + Naan + Pakoda. All mediocre at best. Their drinks however (we tried the Blackcurrant shake) are good.

Visited The Arches Café for breakfast. It was less crowded and has a great view right next to Laxman Jhula (currently under renovation). Once it reopens, this café will be a perfect viewpoint for the bridge and the Ganga. Tried the grilled sandwich and croissant, both were average, but the Americano and cold coffee were good. Worth visiting for decent food and the beautiful river view.

Only recent trip to Rishikesh I visited The arches by Salvus. On day one I went at 10:30pm but they had closed the last order. The vibe and look from outside is beautiful. Then on the second day I went for lunch as I had to head back after that. The vibe and environment in the day is not that pleasing. In the scorching heat the place is hot, AC don't work that well. But the food and the presentation is good. I had ordered mezze platter, hakka noodles and stuffed tandoori paneer. Mezze Platter - 5/5 Hakka noodles - 3/5 Stuffed Paneer - 3/5 My sister ordered brownie shake and rated 4/5 I ordered coconut cooler with mint - 5/5 It is a beautiful place and I would love to visit in the evening next time. One con is the service - you will have to wait for 35-45 min

We stumbled upon this cozy café right outside our hotel and thought of giving it a try. The ambiance is bee fantasy based! Lovely to step in. Some items are unavailable in the menu. We tried the Trio Bruschetta and Arugula Sandwich. Both were just yummy and it was a delicious breakfast for us. Portion size is great. One disheartening thing is we saw full size cakes being thrown in the bin. If this can be managed through effective handling of cooking only necessary items or giving away to the poor, it can make a big difference
Mridula B — Google review
First of all, I have to say—this is a very impressive café with a great vibe and a well-curated menu. The presentation and quality of food are top-notch! However, I did notice that the cooler drink options, like the apple lemonade and a few others, are quite limited. It would be great to see a wider variety in that section. Also, the portion size of these cooler drinks feels a bit too small to truly quench the thirst, especially on a warm day. It would be really helpful if you could offer different size options—like small, medium, and large—or at least provide a clear size distinction when ordering. That way, customers can choose based on their preference and know exactly what to expect. Looking forward to seeing how this café continues to grow—it definitely has a lot of potential!

An absolute gem in the heart of Rishikesh! Honey Hut is not just a café—it’s an experience. From the moment we stepped in, we were welcomed by the most courteous and warm staff I’ve come across. Their service was exceptional—genuinely kind, attentive, and full of positive energy. It really elevated our entire visit. We tried a wide variety of items and loved every bite. The apple pie, blueberry cheesecake, apple lemonade, mango shake, and margarita pizza were all delightful, but the honey sandwiches and sun-dried tomato sandwiches truly stole the show—fresh, flavorful, and unlike anything else we’ve had. What makes Honey Hut even more special is their dedication to authenticity and health. They don’t use refined sugar—only pure, natural honey. Even their skincare products, made with real honey, are worth checking out. I couldn’t resist picking up a few! Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Rishikesh. It’s soulful, delicious, and genuinely memorable.

Had a good time at Chat Sang Cafe…The food was good and the coffee was good too..The place was a bit crowded, so the service was a little slow. One thing I couldn’t ignore was how the staff seemed to give more attention to foreigners than Indian customers..While I understand it’s a tourist-friendly spot, I believe every customer deserves equal attention… Overall, it was good..Worth a visit, just hoping for more balanced service next time…

Just checked out ChatSang Café and honestly loved the vibe! It’s a little noisy but has such a fun crowd and good food. I tried the Cold Coffee with Vanilla Ice Cream and the Red Kidney Bean Burger, it was super tasty. My coffee wasn’t dark enough at first, but when I mentioned it, they happily fixed it for me, which was nice. Only thing is, the service is slow since they take time to prepare the food. If you’re an Indian you’re not welcomed here. They focus on foreigners more than tourists of their own country I realised this when I had to wait for my coffee at-least 30 mins and the guy was making coffee infront of me, he served all the foreigners who came after us. I had to ask twice before he could even start making my order! Food was very average and it’s on the main road without and doors, so was super chaotic and noisy

Great Food with a Peaceful Ganga View – Must Visit! Had a lovely experience at Tat Cafe in Rishikesh. The environment is calm and welcoming, with a beautiful view of the Ganga that adds to the charm — especially during the evening when the vibe gets even more serene and peaceful. We ordered the Tat Deluxe Thali, and it was more than enough for two people. Every item in the thali was flavorful and well-prepared — from the curries to the sides, everything tasted fresh and delicious. Truly felt like a must-try dish if you're visiting. Another cafe with a view right next to Beatles cafe, this one has amazing vibes as well. The breakfast is amazing, the hummus is decent as well but would not say the same about pita bread. The views are nice and seating is great with multiple options available. The service is a bit slow that's the only downside but can choose this one if you want ground seating and good parathas.

Had a amazing experience there with my friends. We had recently come back from a trek and were celebrating a birthday as well our completion on the trek. A really beautiful cafe , thought a bit hard to find it was very nice with a pleasant atmosphere and the singer there had an amazing voice and vibe as well. Amazing views of the ganga river during the sunset time as well. Really lovely staff and delicious food. Would recommend the pasta there!

Been to Tat as it’s highly recommended, it truly has the best view, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Went for breakfast and again for dinner the same day, daytime for the view and evening for the live music. Food is good, but it gets crowded, so go early in the evening if you want outdoor seating. A must-visit in Rishikesh.

We found the food very tasty, and enjoyed having continental food, a much needed change from Indian cuisine. There was a cool vibe the moment we entered for some dinner, with party tunes! However, although it is the perfect place for a chilled meal, the service is average, and one of us had to wait roughly 15 mins for a drink. We also had to ask for more chips after getting a meagre portion. One of the most unique things about the restaurant is the fantastic view you get of the river Ganga, and lush greenery!

Tat Cafe is a beautiful café situated in the serene Tapovan area of Rishikesh, offering a tranquil dining experience with its picturesque views of the river Ganges. One can select between the cozy indoor seating or the inviting outdoor terrace, both providing a peaceful ambiance complemented by the gentle sounds of the river. Their menu boasts a variety of dishes, including Indian, Italian and Israeli cuisines, catering to diverse palates. Among the popular dishes, I tried out their mixed sauce pasta which stood out for its rich and creamy texture, combining the best of both red and white sauces. Accompanying the meal with a refreshing, freshly squeezed orange juice added a perfect balance, making for a delightful culinary combination. Whether you are someone who is looking to relax with a leisurely meal or enjoy a vibrant sunset by the river, Tat cafe is a good option worth exploring. Happy eating.

Disappointed with the Chef's culinary skills. We ordered 'Chilli Basil Noodles', we received salty chowmien noodles. Ordered 'Greek Salad' specifically asking for feta cheese, we received an over-sour-salty marinated salad plate with salted cottage cheese, rendering it inedible. The only satisfying treats we experienced here were the fresh juices and the alfonso mango ice cream - a must try - backdropped by a beautiful view of the hills and ganga. Special thanks to Mr Manoj and his server team for trying their hospitable best.

One of the best cafes in rishikesh, at least in terms of taste and service. The ambience is simple and elegant and is not fancy like some other cafes but pretty good for a simple meal. The staff is also very hospitable. Rates are relatively on the pricier side. Pizza, sandwiches and desserts, everything we tried was good.

I entered here just to have one hot chocolate. The outdoor and indoor maintained clean. I liked the ambience of colorful bottles, fresh baked and coffee preparations. I had hot chocolate and with latte art it made me happy. The service is very good and warm. I would like to come back here. The price is a little higher Overall its a good try who want to tickle their taste buds. Like the review if it was helpful and comment for any question

“Amazing Croissant & Espresso!” Stopped by Divine Cafe & Bakery during my trip to Rishikesh, and I’m so glad I did! I ordered a croissant 🥐 and an espresso ☕️, and both were absolutely perfect. The croissant was buttery, flaky, and fresh—easily one of the best I’ve had in a long time. The espresso was rich, bold, and just what I needed to kickstart my day. The staff was warm and attentive, and the service was quick. If you’re a fan of good coffee and freshly baked treats, this place is a must-visit in Rishikesh. Highly recommended for a morning pick-me-up break!

This cafe is located at a great location in the Tapovan area in Rishikesh. Offers decent views (there are other cafes in the area with better views), good food and friendly staff. They also have a tea bar with interesting flavors to try for custom made tea. Special shoutout to Sandhya who has been extremely helpful and responsive with all my orders!

This is the place you must go to. This is not a hidden gem, but definitely underrated because there’s no hype and spiritual “branding”. This cafe is air conditioned. That’s what you need after a walk in the hot sun in Lakshman jhula area.
Hasindu S — Google review
This is the one place in Rishikesh where good food meets wonderful ambiance to result in a peaceful culinary experience. We ordered blueberry cheese cake, chocolate coffee cake, and a choco muffin. The pastries were delicious and well made. The muffin was also good but could have been much better at that price. Later we also ordered two lattes which was equally good. For two people we paid around 1400 which is a bit pricy for many people including us. But we were so frustrated from the food we have had so far at our stay and other cafes that we coulpd justify the price for the experience. Overall, I would recommend this place for anyone visiting Tapovan atleast once and more if your budget allows.

Oasis Cafe & German Bakery is situated near Laxman Jhula with a peaceful ambiance and delicious food options. The cafe has a nice setup with good menu varieties from different countries. Staff is friendly and the food tastes great.
The cafe is shifted to a new location, it is bigger than before but the Google location is not updated yet. The food was good and momos and Israeli food items are highly recommended. The service was also good. The cookies are also delicious.

Three of us - from Bangalore and Delhi - went on a Saturday evening for dinner. We sat in the inner hut. The ambience is nice with a few musical instruments for us to try our hands on. We ordered a Bruschetta, chilly paneer and a tofu sizzler. Accompanied by a lemon ice tea and fresh lime soda. All of these were great and are recommended. The staff was prompt and helpful. Overall, a great experience.

Beautiful cottage/cafe to have breakfast and lunch, try food from all over the world. I tried Italian and German breakfast. They do very healthy service. I loved this cafe while staying in Rishikesh.

I absolute love eating here. Everything they cook is deliciously fresh and oh so yummy! As much as I love Indian food, it’s great to have a break every now and then - and this place is just perfect. Best hummus and falafel ever, washed down with freshly squeezed carrot, apple and ginger juice. Fabulous.

Visited this place on my visit to Laxman Jhula. The atmosphere was chill and the staff was friendly too.We ordered Burger, Pizza and Cold Coffee. Burger was amazing, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. The pizza was delivered piping hot but did not serve upto our expectations. The cheese released all its oil leaving the pizza extremely dry and unpleasant to eat. Coffee was decent.

beMonk Cafe is a relatively new addition to the Rishikesh cafe scene, but it has quickly gained a reputation as one of the top dining spots in Tapovan. The menu is entirely Sattvik and features an eclectic Indian-fusion selection including quinoa bowls and salads. Situated within a wellness center, this cafe offers stunning views of the Ganga River from its terrace.
This riverside gem is exactly what you need after a thrilling river rafting session. 🌊 Ambience: Extremely peaceful, with light live flute music that blends beautifully with the sound of the river. 🍹 Food & Drinks: Delicious drinks and snacks, though slightly on the expensive side. Perfect for vegetarians. 🧘‍♂️ Wellness: Offers spa and therapy services—ideal if you want to relax, detox, or enjoy a wellness experience during your trip. You can just sit back, enjoy the serene Ganga view, sip on a smoothie or herbal tea, and let your mind unwind.

We absolutely love this place! We went twice while in Rishikesh - once at night and once in the early evening and both times the experience was amazing. We ordered different items and all of it was delicious 😋 Anamika was our waitress both times and she was super sweet and helped us choose our meals! You must visit this place!

Fell in love with this place during my stay in Rishikesh. Visited multiple times. All of their dishes are satvik and ayurvedic. The ambience is perfect with a view of Ganga ji flowing right in front of you. There's the serene sound of the river and live music playing in the restaurant in the evening.

This cafe is aesthetically so pleasing that you will feel instant relaxation once seated here. Pleasing music with mesmerising river view ideal for place readers. The interiors are beautifully done with emphasis to minute details . We tried drinks lemon shikanji and mint melon both were good. In the food menu we tried noodles they were a bit disappointing and hence scope for improvement.

This is the best cafe I have ever been to!! They have the best menu and they serve best dishes!! Their dosa, filter coffee and siddu is a must try!! Siddu tastes million times better than we had in himachal!! There was a really sweet girl serving us food and she helped with all our curious questions about the dishes and suggested the dishes to us! The view is also amazing !! If you are here at rishikesh, don’t miss this cafe!!

Monk Café in Rishikesh is one of those places that quietly wins you over the moment you step in. Tucked near the banks of the Ganga, it offers a calm and soothing vibe that matches the spiritual essence of the city. The location itself is a big plus – you can actually hear the river flowing while sipping your coffee, which makes the experience feel special and grounding. The interiors are simple yet thoughtfully done, with a mix of cozy seating and open spaces that let you soak in the surroundings. It’s not a rushed café at all – more like a space where you’d want to sit for hours with a book, chat with friends, or just reflect while looking at the river. Food-wise, the café does justice to both Indian and continental choices. Their smoothies and herbal teas are especially refreshing, and I loved how they focus on fresh, light ingredients instead of going overboard with oil or spice. The staff is warm and welcoming, without being pushy – they let you enjoy the place at your own pace. Overall, Be Monk Café feels less like a commercial café and more like a retreat where time slows down. If you’re in Rishikesh and want a quiet break from the usual tourist rush, this is definitely worth a visit.

We stumbled upon this cafe while walking around Rishikesh. My partner expressed “It’s the best cappuccino” he has had since being in India. The food was amazing, we tried a protein bowl and a Bhumi breakfast. The bowl was the most filling vegetarian food I’ve ever had. The space was really chill and quiet. Perfect to come in for a quiet work and enjoy a drink.

Bhumi Café in Rishikesh is an absolute gem with a serene, laid-back vibe. The smoothie bowl was refreshing, the breakfast combo was delightful (the hummus was exceptionally good), and the carrot cake made for a perfect indulgence. The highlight, though, was their adorable dog Vodka, who adds so much warmth to the place.

Anna's Mess is a popular South-Indian restaurant located in Tapovan, Rishikesh, Dehradun. It offers a variety of delicious South Indian dishes such as Dosas, Uthappam, Kerala Parota, Filter Kapi, Ghee Podi Masala Dosa and Ghee Thattu Podi Idli. The restaurant is known for its authentic South Indian cuisine and friendly service. The ambience includes indoor and outdoor seating areas.
If you're looking for an authentic South Indian dining experience that feels less like a restaurant and more like a warm, comforting visit to your favorite Anna's home kitchen, look no further than Anna Mess. This place isn't just serving food; it's serving genuine, soulful nostalgia. The Dosa Platter was a masterpiece. Perfectly crisp and golden, served with three distinct and flavorful chutneys—the rich coconut, the tangy tomato, and a beautiful mint green one—plus a hearty, perfectly spiced Sambar. Every bite was a reminder of why classic South Indian cuisine is so beloved. And what better way to end a meal than with a classic? Their Filter Coffee (Kaapi) is the perfect brew: strong, frothy, and wonderfully aromatic. It’s the essential full stop to a satisfying meal. (And yes, that gooey, rich chocolate dessert was the delicious cherry on top!) Ps:-AT TIMES THERE IS A WAITING BUT THATS OK FOR THE YUMMYLICIOUS MEALS OWNER IS HUMBLE AND SERVES FOOD WITH THE LOVE & AFFECTION GOOD LUCK TO THE TEAM👍
Manoj G — Google review
Anna's Mess is easily the best South Indian cuisine restaurant in town. It's aptly named. It's a mess, you sit, eat and go. Not a café, so no need to linger. Still, it's pretty. The dining space is in three parts, an indoor space for chilly days, a gazebo-like covered space with open sides and a gravel courtyard with potted plants. The beverages maybe pricey, but the food is good value-for-money in pricey Tapovan. It delivers on quality. I'd in mind Ragi Mysuru Dosa, but I asked for Rava by mistake, told there was none, I opted for the Masala Dosa Combo. It was a good choice. The dosa and idli came with three kinds of chutney and sambhar, in reasonably quick time. The food was delicious. The only thing I'll fault is the quantity of the pineapple kesari. Delicious but just a tablespoonful 😔 So, what could they do better, a maitre'd for sure, who could tell you if there's a table available; then the gravel-stone garden courtyard, could do with a lot of tidying up.
Saurabh — Google review
Anna Mess is the definitive destination for authentic South Indian cuisine, bypassing fuss for flavor and tradition in Rishikesh. This humble spot serves the true, unadulterated taste of the South, starting with the Dosa Platter, Ragi Dosas, Sambar Rice etc. The authenticity of the kitchen shines through its foundational dishes. The Sambar is a complex masterpiece, achieving a perfect balance of sour tang from tamarind and deep earthiness from freshly ground spices—it is never overly sweet or heavy. The Rasam is a searing, pepper-laced tonic that wakes up the palate and aids digestion. While the Podi Masala Dosa is flawlessly crisp, the true star is the soft, Every dish proves that simple, fresh ingredients, when handled with traditional technique, deliver a depth of flavor that is unmatched. Anna Mess is a non-negotiable must-visit for the genuine taste of South India. Anna is Very humble person and when I told him my name is also Rishikesh then out of his generosity he served us a Ragi chocolate cake which was very delicious 😋

I had been there on 2 different days cuz the food was so good! Me being a South Indian, I felt like I was at home! The dosa, the chutneys so authentic and the Kuthu Parota I had was very very amazing! I mean even though its a veg variant still it was so so good!
Manish S — Google review
The food here seems to be prepared with foreign visitors in mind. While it carries a hint of authentic South Indian flavors, it lacks the traditional spiciness that truly defines the cuisine. The ambience is lovely and inviting, but overall, the taste was just average.

The first thing the menu-it was surprisingly small, which can sometimes be a sign of a kitchen that specializes in a few excellent dishes. However, this wasn't the case. The quality of the food was simply not up to standard. The dishes we ordered lacked flavor and seemed to be prepared without much care . It was disappointing to see such a limited selection, especially when the quality of the food didn't make up for it. We believe that with some improvements to the menu and a greater focus on the quality of ingredients and preparation,

This is a very fascinating cafè. The french fries were delicious and crispy. The burger was just like the one in McDonald's advertisement. The pizza was superb and the sandwich tasted wonderful. I loved the place and the view was outstanding. Both the cold and hot coffee were 😋. The price was also reasonable. This café is a treasure which you have to hunt from main road.

We recently visited this café, and while the experience was mostly good, there were a few letdowns too. I ordered the Mix Berry Smoothie, and it was absolutely delicious — one of the best I’ve had! Even my friends enjoyed their drinks a lot, so drinks get a solid 5/5 from us. The noodles were tasty and well-prepared, but the pizza was a disappointment. The base felt undercooked, and we couldn’t even finish it. That definitely pulled down the food experience. The ambience and view were great, especially since the café overlooks the Ganga. We went at night, so the view wasn’t fully visible, but I’m sure it looks stunning during the day. Overall Ratings: 🥤 Drinks: 5/5 🍝 Food: 3.5/5 🌅 View/Vibe: 5/5 Would recommend this place for a chill hangout, especially during daytime for the view — but maybe skip the pizza!

If you are searching for an open cafe with a great view of the Ganga River and the mountains, this is a perfect place for you. For the people who wants to seat inside rather than open area, there is also option for that. The area of the cafe is great , you can easily walk and relax wherever you want. There are charging points which are perfect for people who want to work from a cafe. If you go downstairs, you can walk on a beautiful marine drive with aesthetic street light , which gives the feeling of walking on a foreign street. The food service is also amazing, with a variety of options. I would recommend you to go in evening or in afternoon if the weather is perfect because if you want to seat in open area , you may feel hot in sunlight although there are umbrella. Note: Currently this cafe is closed due to some reasons, before going there kindly check the opening hours on map which they regularly update Overall it will be an amazing experience, while I explored it, I just got only one chance to go there and after that it was temporarily closed 😐.

Kumar's Cafe is a small hole-in-the-wall cafe that specializes in strong coffee. It's located on a side alley, and has plastic chairs tucked into a corner of the alleyway. The cafe uses real coffee beans and has an espresso machine. The staff here are friendly and the food tastes great. Prices are reasonable, and the kitchen is clean and hygienic. However, there are no tables at Kumar's, so it can be difficult to sit down.
This is a small cafe with limited menu. However, everything that I have tried so far from the cappuccino to the golden milk (turmeric latte) , carrot ginger cup cake has been excellent. Bagsu cake is also very nice , however is heavy with a thick layer of chocolate. There is little space to sit , however that does allow people of different groups to interact with each other. 90% of the clientele is foreign tourists. The menu is budget friendly as can be seen from the pictures. You have option of jaggery powder apart from sugar. The cafe is 2 minutes walk from the main road in a Narrow lane not accessible by four wheelers. Even two wheelers won't be able to find parking outside the cafe. The nearest cat park is around 200 metres away. For me this place was a find for my daily cappuccino dose.

This was my go to place during my month in Rishikesh. By far, one of the most comfortable, friendly and quality places in the area. Everything on the menu is delicious, the gentlemen that work there are fantastic, and you might even get to pet a cow while you’re there🐮 Definitely go here!

Cafe De Goa bakery & restaurant is a charming spot in the heart of Rishikesh, offering a taste of Goan vibes and an artistic ambiance with wall graffiti featuring flags from around the world. Visitors praise the good food, helpful staff, and unbeatable view of Laxman Jhula. While some find the prices slightly high, many appreciate the value given its location as a popular tourist destination.
I had the best eggplant masala here. Just a must try. The view is beautiful, and if you come around 6pm, the temple is lit and you can hear the prayers. There's good internet for digital nomads as well..

Two stars... One for the view and one for the waiter who is friendly but totally incapable. Sabic Lafa... Hummus with loads of water in it but without any taste, eggplants somehow roasted in butter, french fries the worst ever with a certain raw taste,, a boiled egg instead of an omlet and roti instead of pita according to the menue and "olives" came as one olive cut in five pieces... Didn't mind the small portion as it was simply awful. Second dish was Matar Mushroom. Didn't want it spicy, got it sweet! Definitely one of the "never ever places"
Susanne K — Google review
Good service, with a brilliant view of the Laxman Jhula. Sunset is just gorgeous. Pretty affordable prices and they let you sit for however long you want without bothering you, which is a huge plus for me.
Neil D — Google review
Nothing and I repeat nothing can go wrong with this place. Good food, very helpful staff and an unmatched view of Laxman Jhula Only con was the rate of food offered but given the fact that it is at one of the most famous tourist destinations of Rishikesh it's still justified.
Nishant K — Google review
We came here for breakfast after arriving from a 12 hour overnight bus ride. We received the most welcoming introduction to Rishikesh and they were happy for us to leave our bags in the restaurant whilst we looked for somewhere to stay. Super nice people, great views and good food.

The best you can expect! It will be my top preferred cafe's around this locality.!

A sweet little spot by the Ganga. The cold coffee is a must. Go there to just sit, read and admire the view.

Fast food restaurant
Nestled in the charming area of Lower Tapovan, Echoes Cafe stands out not just for its delightful ambiance but also for its inspiring mission. This unique cafe is staffed by individuals who are deaf and communicate through sign language, creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere. Perched on a terrace, it offers stunning views of the Ganga River, making it an ideal spot to unwind with friends or family.
I recently visited Echoes Rishikesh and had a great experience. The ambience was really cool and the theme of the restaurant was unique. The menu had a good variety of dishes, including some interesting fusion options. However, the service was really good. Overall, it’s a decent place to try if you’re looking for a fun and quirky dining experience.

Echoes is the most unique restaurant that I have ever experienced. They are just not servicing good food and a great ambiance but they are serving the society and taking a step into mainstreaming the PWDs (People with Disabilities). It takes courage to take this step of change, to train them, to make them feel that their presence matters. Kudos to Echoes… Echoes Rishikesh is a must visit place. Beautiful and serene environment with positivity and encouragement to human life.

Cafe
Nestled on the third floor along Badrinath road, Social Soul Cafe is a delightful oasis amidst the bustling cityscape of Rishikesh. This charming spot, run by a sibling duo from Rajasthan, offers an inviting atmosphere where you can savor delicious food and exceptional coffee. They take pride in their unique coffee blends sourced from their own beans grown in southern India. Whether you're indulging in breakfast or dinner, dishes like eggs Benedict and Tibetan salad are sure to please your palate.
Vibe is spot on here ,music was soothing and the crowd was quite international and mature enough to understand the private space of any individual, i really enjoyed my time af this cafe every time i visited. I think it has a good mix of everything that Rishikesh needs to offer 🙌 The staff was too kind to offer us everything we asked them for. ALL IN ALL 4.5 stars from my end 🙌

Social Soul Cafe in Rishikesh is a must-visit spot that not only offers breathtaking views but also serves exceptional food. Mr. Priyanshu is so humble and loving he made my stay there more memorable thanks to him. The café's cozy ambiance, combined with its stunning setting overlooking the scenic beauty of Rishikesh, makes it a great spot to relax and enjoy a memorable meal. Highly recommended for both the food and the experience!

Here is a detailed review! We ended up there because we were looking for a cafe open at 11.30pm it was on 3rd floor, hidden like a true gem. It was worth every single step. Let's start with food We ordered Lebanese platter, Stake rice bowl(Veg), It was recommended by the owner, but we recommend it to all, and Mix sauce pasta( one of the best i have ever had), every single of the food item was better than the other, bombing your palette with soulful flavours. Ambience: It was good and clean, we just missed the live singing as the musician was packing when we arrived but sitting, and overall ambience was worth the wait. Service: The staff is really polite and they take their time to cook food so plan accordingly, service was not delayed but again good food take time. P.S.: I don't click food pictures but their stake bowl presentation made me rethink my decision so the only food pic i clicked from the whole trip.

Amazing Vibe & amazing food. We went on weekend & experienced their Live Music Show performed by Shiva, the breezy rooftop & music made our day. They have amazing Coffees best we ever had. Their food is also superb best from the places nearby. A must Visit in Rishikesh.

I'm so glad I stumbled upon this place! The coffee is some of the best I've had – you can tell they use high-quality beans . I ordered Paneer steak rice bowl and bruschetta, it was perfectly made. The Pancake was also fantastic, fresh ingredients and really tasty. The staff were all super friendly and the cafe itself has a lovely, relaxed vibe. Definitely coming back!
Himanshu R — Google review
Disappointed by the Hype – Not Worth the Visit I visited this café after seeing so many glowing Google reviews, but unfortunately, my experience was far from what was promised. The service was a major letdown — the staff seemed distracted and inattentive while serving food, which left a negative first impression. The atmosphere, which many reviews described as “chill,” was actually quite uncomfortable, especially if you’re a non-smoker. The heavy presence of smoke in the seating area made it hard to enjoy the environment, let alone the food. I had high expectations based on the online buzz, but in reality, it felt like a terrible decision to dine here. Definitely not a place I’d recommend if you’re looking for good service or a clean, smoke-free ambiance.
Sweta S — Google review
Such a chill vibe! — the owner was super friendly, the music sets the perfect mood, and there are also a few games to keep things fun. The drinks were really nice too — I loved the Espresso Tonic and Cranberry! The outdoor seating is nice and cozy and perfect for hanging out. Whether you're here to unwind or catch up with friends, I’d definitely recommend stopping by!
