Located in downtown Knoxville, The French Market Creperie offers a cozy atmosphere with chandeliers and bleached wood decor. In addition to their delicious crepes, they also serve sandwiches and offer a selection of cider. The creperie is a popular breakfast spot, offering fluffy and flavorful pancakes with a variety of toppings and fillings. Visitors can also explore the nearby Market Square Farmers Market for fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, baked goods, crafts, and more from local vendors.
Amazing place. We’re staying at the Hilton and it’s a very easy walk to this little gem. First of all the atmosphere, decor, etc is so cute…it feels like what a French cafe would be. The menu is expansive. The customer service and ordering was flawless. Now, for the taste…it was wonderful. We got a croissant and bacon (asked us if we wanted it crispy or regular…who does that?! Amazing), and a Nutella and strawberry crepe…so rich and delicious. Vanilla late was perfect too. We got here 3 minutes before they opened and were already 4th in line. By the time we ordered there were 10 more people behind us. The line seemed to move quick though and our food came out very fast. 10/10

I really liked the buckweat one loaded with veggies and feta cheese, but the salmon one was way too salty for me. The bavarian cream one was a bit too sweet for my taste. At first, the line looked crazy long ,but it´s all self service so that explains it and the turnover is pretty fast.
Sid P — Google review
Meh. I have been to better crepe places. The menu has good varieties but there is no uniqueness to it. The gal who took our order appeared to have seen better days I had the roast beef crepes (pictured) and my bf has ham & cheese crepe. The ham & cheese was very basic, no effort at all to elevate the dish. The roast beef looks better but taste wise nothing super tasty The cafe decor was alright Again nothing unique about this place.

Very cute gem in downtown Knoxville. Has a very cool aesthetic and the crêpes were delicious. The lemon crêpe with the whipped cream was absolutely delicious. I was visiting from San Diego and this place actually reminds me of a really tasty crêpe spot in Palm Springs.

Great find in downtown Knoxville! Small cafe with an EXTENSIVE menu. Very delicious. Very busy, but they keep things moving. Plenty of seating. Food, drinks and service are all exceptional. Highly recommend.

Delicious crepes - both sweet and savory! Fun, well-appointed space with great atmosphere. 100% will return :)
Josh P — Google review
Great crepes! Order at the counter. Employees friendly. Area around a little bit under construction. But the restaraunt itself super cute. We sat on patio. I might recommend eating inside to keep the French vibe in mind while eating. Outside a homeless. Guy approached us respectfully and waited til we were almost done eating, struck up a friendly conversation and finally asked for a few bucks. He was respectful. But if you want to just be in your own world, eat inside. We would definitely go back here. They even have crepes made from buckwheat if you want to go healthier, which I did. It was very good!
Kim K — Google review
The food is good. The service is good. Please consider bringing back actual coffee mugs for your lattes. We dined in and were served our drinks in Togo cups. It’s a small detail that makes a huge difference. Honestly this will affect me returning. The woman behind the counter said they didn’t want to have to wash a bunch of cups on a busy day which is honestly a terrible excuse. Otherwise this is a good restaurant.

Anytime you hit Pete's, is a good time!! Excellent every time we come in! Service is always with a smile, food no matter what you get will be good, and atmosphere is very laid back & inviting. If you are ever downtown and looking for a great plate, Pete's has that plate y'all!

Great vibe at this local spot... it was super busy Sunday morning, but the staff was in Sync and always kept smiling. Shout out o Holly in the front, that was sitting customers, waiting at the counter and wiping tables down. Plus the food was delicious.

Great breakfast location, with a fun local feel, friendly service, and the food was fantastic. I had the veggie omelet with rye toast. Nice Job..

Amazing place to eat! First time going and it did not disappoint. Very cute set up in downtown Knoxville and great prices. They have just Breakfast and Lunch. I had the Crispy Buffalo Chicken Wrap and it was delicious! Shoutout to Holly for her excellent service and to all the cooks who made the meal incredible! Thanks so much for a great time!

Personally, one of my favorite spots close to market square. The atmosphere is great, you get a genuine diner feel. Fantastic service from every waitress i've had here. It's a beloved spot and for good reason! The food isn't going to change your world but it's simple, easy, and consistent. It's gonna be busy early mornings, especially during big events that are happening. You do have the option to order over the phone for pick up which is a nice option for people on the go. Whole heartedly recommend to anyone looking for a diner space in Knoxville.
Quinn L — Google review
If I could give Pete’s Breakfast & Lunch more than five stars, I absolutely would! From the moment we walked in to our final, satisfied bite, every detail was spot on. We had chicken salad sandwich with fries, and a turkey club. These sandwiches were so hearty we couldn't even finish them! Highly recommended for anyone craving top-notch sandwiches and service with a smile! Our server Melissa was incredible and made our experience even better. This is a must try if you get to visit Knoxville. You will not be disappointed.

New American restaurant
The Plaid Apron is a trendy cafe in Tennessee that offers American breakfast and lunch with a focus on local ingredients. Chef Drew McDonald, along with his wife, has brought their dream of farm-to-mouth cuisine to life at this popular restaurant. The small but diverse menu includes separate brunch options for weekdays and weekends, featuring favorites like house-made cinnamon rolls and Steak and Eggs.
This restaurant does food right. SO much is made completely from scratch in house including the sausage which is pretty cool. The salads are beautiful. I love the citrus slices and the lemon dressing. The veggie omelette is amazing, full of vegetables. The almond cakes are perfection. This is a great restaurant.
Kno — Google review
I recently visited The Plaid Apron in Knoxville, a cozy neighborhood cafe known for using locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a casual brunch. I ordered the almond pancakes, which were light, fluffy, and had a pleasant subtle sweetness, followed by a patty melt with caramelized onions that was well-prepared but fairly standard in flavor. One important thing to note, during brunch hours, the restaurant serves potatoes instead of fries with burgers, which may catch some diners by surprise. Overall, The Plaid Apron offers a solid brunch experience with quality ingredients and a comfortable vibe, though in my opinion, the food leaned more toward familiar comfort rather than standout or inventive. It’s a good option if you’re looking for a well-executed, classic meal in a laid-back setting.

Let me start by saying, I’d go back just for Taylor, our waitress. She was an absolute delight and reminded me of home. It was such a pleasure talking with a UT student who clearly has a heart for customer service. Taylor is witty, efficient, personable, inviting, knowledgeable, and undeniably charming. She’s passionate about what she does and seamlessly joined our conversations, making the entire dining experience feel authentic, warm, and memorable. If you’re lucky enough to have her as your server, you’re in for a treat. Thanks, Taylor!

Update after dinner: To me it’s unfortunately a significant drop in stars (from 5 to 3). The old fashioned was amazing, the pineapple drink boring. The lamb appetizer was seasoned to perfection but it had way too much fat (more fat than meet, in fact). The watermelon appetizer was way underwhelming; quite uninteresting and under seasoned. My shrimp and grits were seasoned really well and I liked the quality of the shrimp but grits arrived lukewarm and that’s one of my least favorite things when eating out. My husband’s steak was over cooked and tasted as if it was seasoned with a ready made supermarket marinade and nothing else, not enough salt either; yet again, Knoxville proves that it can’t make steak properly. I also didn’t like how small the steak was compared to the amount of fries (which were very good!). I didn’t really like my dessert: too sweet, watery, and covered with whip cream (my least favorite things in a desert), the sage shortcake was more like a corn bread but quite good. Unfortunately, half of it was covered in whip cream which I deeply dislike. Espresso was OK, but should have been served together with the dessert. This is a casual place, nothing fancy and for what they’re $175 with tip is far too expensive. For this price I’m Austin for two people, you can get amazing food at Odd Duck ;) They didn’t count my dessert because I did say I didn’t like it, but it means we would have paid $200 for a dinner that wasn’t really worth it. Unlikely that we’ll be going back for quite some time. Very good brunch! Salmon cooked to perfection, but the espresso (as much as I appreciate that they have it) could be a little cleaner; I like it European style: with a little saucer and a small glass of water in the side. Looking forward to returning for dinner soon.
MCD — Google review
We started with the gluten-free almond cakes as an appetizer, served with syrup and butter—they were amazing! Light, fluffy, and topped with strawberries, they were a perfect start. For my entrée, I had the patty melt with potato wedges. We originally asked for fries (because they looked incredible in other reviews), but unfortunately, fries are only served at dinner. I usually like a side of ranch with my potatoes, but they only had ketchup. Thankfully, our sweet server found an aioli-style sauce for me to dip in, which was a nice touch. The patty melt itself was a bit on the sweet side due to the sauce—personally, I prefer my savory items to stay savory and my sweet items sweet. But overall, the vibe of the place was nice and worth checking out!
Anisa W — Google review
This is my family fave for brunch on Sunday after church. I live right next door so love the experience of walking over to fresh foods, some locally sourced. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!
Audrey R — Google review
Nice restaurant/cafe with a lot on the menu. Had Eggs Benedict with ham. It was good but I had had better. The English muffin could have been a little smother/fresher. Others in our party had their Salads and they looked great and according to our friends, tasted good

Breakfast restaurant
Nestled in the peaceful Rocky Hill neighborhood, Scrambled Jake's Breakfast Company offers generous portions of classic breakfast and brunch dishes along with cocktails in a spacious and trendy setting. Since its opening in 2017, it has become a popular spot for locals, college students, and visitors alike. The menu features a variety of favorites such as Eggs Benedict, Avocado Toast, Figgy Figgy Toast, scramblers, pancakes, waffles, and coffee-infused French toast.
Everything from the authentic wooden walls and the overall rustic feel to the tastiness of the food is exquisite! My family split the massive cinnamon roll (which was doused in a rich blanket of icing), and I got the all-in omelette. The all-in omelet has multiple meats and is super delicious! The potato cake on the side is also really good! I don’t really know how to describe it, but this restaurant is the best breakfast restaurant that I have ever visited!
Caleb B — Google review
Excellent breakfast place! Friendly and efficient service. Food portions are HUGE!!! You will have enough for left-overs!!! Definitely recommend if you are in the area!
Kindra M — Google review
Ridiculously good breakfast food! Enormous pancakes, crisp, buttery waffles, generously filled omelets with a huge variety of flavorful fillings. We tried the Funky Monkey waffle, Jake's Scramble, the All-In omelet, the Garden Veggie Omelet, and deep fried Deviled Eggs. We also tried a biscuit with sweet cream butter and berry compote, the breakfast potato casserole, and the creamy grits. Everything was outstanding, with the only so-so item being the deviled eggs. Oh my goodness, I almost forgot to mention the in-house roasted, bottomless, french-pressed coffee! To die for! We asked if they sold the coffee in bags, but alas, not yet. All the staff, from the host to our server and everyone we passed on the way to and from our table were so friendly! We live about 2 hours away, but we are already making plans to come back! Even though it was SUPER busy with the football game going on, the wait time wasn't bad at all (maybe 30 minutes). Scrambled Jake's and their lovely staff deserve SO MUCH praise. After the first few bites we googled to look for more locations, in the hopes they were a franchise!
Sarah B — Google review
Coffee was free flowing and delicious. I ordered the "Sonora Scrambler" which was plentiful enough to enjoy 2 meals out of! I will return again with many friends so we can share bites of all the delicious options!
TM G — Google review
HOLY MARY MOTHER of homemade biscuits and egg scramblers! This place is DELICIOUS! I travel extensively and consider myself a biscuit connoisseur. Most restaurants tout “homemade” biscuits/breads/food when in reality they have frozen, pre-made food they pop into the oven, slap butter and jam on a plate and a warmed biscuit, and serve. This place is not that! Their food is made from scratch and divine! If you’re in Knoxville, make a point to get breakfast/brunch at Jake’s! You won’t be sorry you dud!
Leslie P — Google review
Great place for breakfast, their parking is small but they do valet if needed. Price is good and portions are large. Server was awesome (wish I remember name). If you get pancakes get 1 vs 2 as they are huge.
Dan J — Google review
If you are in Tennessee, Knoxville you have to come for breakfast at Scrambled Jacke’s. We were in town to drop off our daughter to UTK and heard about this place. Amazing food and that cinnamon roll was outstanding. Thank you Scrambled Jake’s, you made some Chicagoans very happy.
Eleni C — Google review
Any trip to Knoxville area would be incomplete without visiting for breakfast. We come from up north a few times a year to visit and it’s a given that we’ll visit one or more times in a week. I can’t say enough about the food quality and staff here. Absolutely Awesome!

A southern restaurant Tupelo Honey is a favorite spot for the Knoxville community. The casual atmosphere and dog-friendly seating make it the perfect place to share a meal with friends, or to take the dog for a walk. The menu features classic dishes like fried catfish and Southern-style fried chicken, as well as modern twists on old favorites.
I know this is a chain which is not my usual choice, but Tupelo Honey did not disappoint. The fried pickles were thin and crispy and ohhh so great. The Mayo Magi was served in a cast iron skillet so it stayed warm. The flavors were perfect, texture delicious. The rosemary crusted potatoes are a must try and the brussel sprouts were actually crispy….. and sinfully delicious. The Mindful Martinis were a surprisingly refreshing choice, We had to have 2!!! Location was perfect. It is right in the market district so if weather permits seatong outside allows for such a wonderful dining experience.

It was our first time here and the food was incredible! Flavorful and so yummy! The staff was fantastic. I can definitely see why this place has no less than an hour wait. Make sure to make a reservation ahead of time! I had the chicken and biscuits. We will definitely be back. Already planning our next girls trip
Brianna G — Google review
Food was super good. I got the sweet and spicy chicken & waffles and it was perfect! It came with a lot of chicken that was fried to perfection and very crispy. The waffles were fluffy and delicious. Whatever spicy siracha honey was on them was the perfect blend of sweet and flavorful. It wasn't actually that spicy at all though. Service was good and the location is super cool. I will say though, the tables were a little too close together for my liking and the restaurant was loud, making conversations difficult. Would recommend!
Will T — Google review
My mother and I arrived at Tupelo Honey slightly tipsy from our adventures at Alice and Appalachia (see my review for them). We were greeted by the absolute sunshine. A young woman with unnaturally colored yellow hair and guillotine necklace (I loved). She was just the sweetest kid. Anyway, first impression was awesome, we got seated and had a lovely server whose name I cannot remember but kind of looks like that Chef from the Bear show. Anyway, GREAT dinner. We didn't order apps or dessert but what we had we loved. Service was fast and we inhaled as we are the kind of ladies who Hoover our food when slightly tipsy. Just a wonderful time. Downtown was lovely and we walked everywhere. I didn't want to like this place as much as I did. Chains are usually not that great. Tupelo Honey is an exception to that rule. We will be back sometime soon!!!

I loved the food and the atmosphere! I got a chickensalad sandwich with bacon collards. My daughter loved her burger. I ordered pimento queso with chips and fried pickles for appetizers. We got to see someone get proposed to there!

One of our favorite places to eat, a great brunch spot but don’t skip on Dinner. Great homemade southern food. Our waiter Clint was the highlight of our meal, he was awesome. My cast iron pork was some of the best pork I’ve ever had, great location, quality and ambiance. Try it!

Excellent menu makes it hard to choose, friendly and smart service staff, was in Knoxville Tennessee on business and basically just found this gem, downtown on Market. Plenty of parking in the area. I had the Shrimp and grits a great choice, and the others in my party enjoyed their meal as well

Southern restaurant (US)
Cafe 4 is a refined dining spot in downtown Knoxville, offering traditional Southern cuisine with a modern twist. The restaurant boasts a comfortable dining room and an outdoor patio for al fresco dining during the summer. Recognized as one of the top romantic restaurants in America, it features upscale urban bistro vibes and dog-friendly patio seating. The menu showcases classic Southern dishes with contemporary variations, using seasonal ingredients and high-quality produce. Guests can also find gluten-free options on the menu.
Cafe 4 is a charming little spot right on Market Square in Knoxville. The ambiance was cool and inviting—modern but cozy—and the restaurant was spotless. Our server, Eli, was incredibly friendly and attentive, which made the experience all the more enjoyable. The food arrived hot and flavorful across the board. I really appreciated the care in presentation and the cozy Southern feel of the menu. That said, there were a few small details that kept this from being a five-star meal. My brioche bun could’ve used a bit more toasting—it leaned soft rather than crisp. The cod was well-battered, but the coating didn’t cling quite right, so it lacked that satisfying crunch when you bit in. And the fries, while tasty, weren’t quite as fresh or crispy as they could’ve been. Still, the overall experience was positive, and the vibe was relaxed and fun. Would definitely return—especially for the service and the atmosphere!
J G — Google review
Great dog friendly spot in market square. The kids loved their waffles. Service was great. My wife and I shared the hot chicken sandwich. It was delicious and HUGE portion - easily shared for lunch. I wish it was a bit spicier, but no complaints. Great atmosphere. Highly recommended for you and your dog!

Cafe 4 is awesome! went in for brunch with some friends. I got THE breakfast sandwich, which was incredible. the huge egg souffle with the crispy cheese on top was so good! bun was great, and bacon of course makes everything better. Roast potatoes were good, but could have been a little crisper. Our server Lucas was outstanding as well!

We stopped in here for brunch before taking the bus to Neyland Stadium. This was my wife's first trip to Knoxville. Victoria was our waitress and she was great! We split the chicken and biscuit and the truffle fries. Love the hot honey and gravy on top of one of the best pieces of fried chicken I've had in years. Not overly fried in batter and seasoned so well.
Greg C — Google review
I visited on a quiet Monday. I'm from out of town, so I don't know how busy they usually are at 545, but they seated me immediately. Victoria was my server and she was wonderful. I never needed anything, but she gave me space to enjoy my meal. Exactly what I like! I got fried green beans and the shrimp and grits. The shrimp and grits were amazing. I definitely recommend.
Joshua H — Google review
Brook was a fantastic server! With a young, attractive and energetic staff, I think it would be difficult to stand out. Brook did an excellent job! The food for me was great, however not everyone in my party thought the same. With taste being subjective, you can't please everyone. I had the fish tacos with house salad. Not everyone likes fish as much as I, but I would have liked a non-breaded fish. Still very good tacos.

Great menu. Great service. Great location. We stopped by Cafe 4 on our long trip from New York to Nashville. After 12 hours on the road this place felt like an oasis in the desert. This restaurant is dog friendly so we sat outside with him and watched the people walk by while we ate. We ordered the cheese dip as appetizer. My father-in-law ordered the salmon. I ordered the short ribs and grits. Everyone was very happy with the food. I am planning to take a day trip with my wife and daughter one weekend to Knoxville and we will definitely be stopping by here again!

This is my second time visiting Knoxville and BY FAR the best restaurant I have been to. Sitting out on the patio on a warm summers night, looking out on Market Square, is as good as it gets. Our server Victoria was patient, gave great recommendations and helped create the perfect relaxed atmosphere. The food was reasonably priced and so damn tasty. Fries green tomatoes were cooked to perfection (highly recommended). Shrimp and grits were so flavourful, with the andouille sausage adding the perfect kick to the dish. The Nashville Chicken Mac N’ Cheese was so creamy, accompanied by crispy and tender chicken. Absolutely Aces. 5/5. Will be back.

Oliver Royale is a cosmopolitan restaurant that serves seasonal American dishes, cocktails and weekend brunch in Market Square in downtown Knoxville. The menu features items sourced from local, sustainable and organic farms, coffee makers and distilleries. The high-end dining space is perfect for a lovely afternoon meal or romantic weekend brunch.
Reservation recommended. We showed up for lunch and ouch, an hour wait but the bar was wide open so we had brunch. Smoked salmon Benedict and Breakfast bowl. Delicious 😋. Katie, the bartender was attentive and friendly. Would come back for dinner sometime.

Went in for brunch. We lucked out and were able to grab some seats at the bar since we were informed it was by reservations for that day. The selection at the bar is impressive. If you are fan of cinnamon rolls, highly recommend. Also tried their crab eggs Benedict and it did not disappoint.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this charming establishment, and I must say, it was an experience that delighted all the senses. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the dessert pictured above—a beautifully plated creation that struck the perfect balance between artistry and flavor. The smooth, custard-like centerpiece was delicately infused with tropical notes, complemented by a bright, silky sauce and tart pops of raspberry coulis. Fresh raspberries added both a vibrant color and a welcome acidity to offset the sweetness. The elegant garnish—thin, crisp shards—provided a satisfying textural contrast that tied everything together. Presentation here is taken seriously, and it shows. The dessert looked almost too beautiful to eat, served in a deep blue ceramic bowl that enhanced the vivid colors of the dish. Every detail felt intentional and refined. Beyond the food, the ambiance was warm and inviting. Dim lighting and understated decor created an intimate atmosphere perfect for a relaxed evening out. Service was attentive without being intrusive—staff were happy to answer questions and share recommendations, making the experience feel personal and unhurried. Overall, this restaurant excels at delivering thoughtful, creative cuisine in a setting that feels both sophisticated and comfortable. Whether you’re a dessert lover or simply looking for an elevated dining experience, I highly recommend paying them a visit.

I had the Salmon, and it might have been the best dish I've ever had. My wife had the bolognese and said it was amazing. The beef tartare also impressed. Highly recommend.

The best chicken and grits I’ve ever had. Went for brunch so cannot speak to their lunch or dinner menu. But their brunch was delicious. Crepe’s were also fantastic a mixture of sweet and savory within the same crepe. Truly delicious food!

Austin was our server and had the perfect balance of being attentive and having fabulous recommendations without being overly attentive. The food was phenomenal, we both had the beet salads and I had blackened redfish and my friend the Asian salmon. Highly recommend!

We went there for brunch and I was excited to try the eggs Benedict. They were delicious, creamy sauce. I was a bit disappointed with the salmon, it didn’t taste fresh. The terrace and the atmosphere around was nice.

We went here for brunch before driving back home to Birmingham after visiting a girlfriend that just moved to Knoxville. We were very happy with our experience. The bloody mary's were delicious and everything we ate was very good! Austin was our server and did a fantastic job. He was very attentive. The restaurant itself is very sleek and well-decorated. I loved all of the green tile and the light fixtures. They also give you an "Oliver Royale" postcard with your check!

The Tomato Head is a popular American cafe-bakery located in the Market Square area of Knoxville. The cozy dining room features local artwork for sale, and the menu offers a variety of light, hearty, and vegetarian options including sandwiches and pizza made with fresh-baked bread and locally sourced produce. Vegan and gluten-free choices are also available. Customers can customize their own pizzas or try the expert's recommendations, but either way, don't miss out on trying their house-made pesto.
I've been meaning to write a review, as Tomato Head remains my favorite place for lunch in downtown Knoxville. Any time I meet friends, I always suggest this place and that's where we end up going. Last week was no exception when I met up with a girlfriend and we came to Tomato Head for another delicious lunch. I love the variety of vegan and vegetarian dishes available for my friends who don't eat meat. My go to will always be the turkey melt sandwich even though today I also added the squash curry soup to my lunch. Everything was amazing. Our waitress told me that the owner was here today and I expressed a desire to meet her. And lo and behold, she made time to come out and chat with us. Mahasti, I am so glad that you took a chance and opened this place up 35 years ago! You have truly revitalized Market Square and hats off to you for never giving up!!

Visited on April 26, 2025 When we came, we were able to sit immediately. We were at a High Top outside. It was perfect for our group of 6 and dog. Our server was Emma. She was very attentive and friendly. Everyone was really friendly. The menu had plenty of options. I ordered a side ceasar and  the Smoked Salmon pizza with Garlic Oil + pesto base. I added feta and red onion. I did not get a picture, but the salad was okay. I asked for no mushrooms and when the salad came it had a bunch of black olives. I thought that was a little odd. The salad was also very small. Now to the pizza. When I tell you this pizza was absolutely DELICIOUS!!!!! I ordered a second one to go. It was that good!!! It taste so fresh and perfect. I did get a side of ranch. I assume it was made fresh, but it was watery. Wouldn't even stick on my food. Not good. My to go pizza was oddly a lot smaller than the one I had at the restaurant. I ordered a Margarita, but they said they were out of lime, so they made it with Strawberry. It wasn't very good. And it was only half way filled. I think the bartender had the measurements incorrect. Everyone in our party loved their pizza as well. My brother in law also ordered another to go. I would absolutely come back. Oh and they let me use their outlet to charge my phone. Also, I love Market Square. Such a cool vibe. I love the inclusivity of the area.

Came to spend a day in Knoxville and wander through stores and eat lunch. We found The Tomato Head restaurant and had lunch. He had the salmon and pesto pizza slice and a house salad. I ordered a calzone. Both were tasty but also typical. Will you get a good meal. Yes. Service good? Also yes. Nothing to rave about but clean and tasty.

Love the healthy and flavorful food options. Service was great! Nice patio dining on the square. I had the kepner melt, a greek salad, and the cleanse mocktail. My husband and I each had half the sandwich and shared the salad. We both loved it! Hoping I can recreate it at home since we don't live close by. Waitress was super attentive! Would love to go here more often. It will be a must next time I visit Knoxville.

Our favourite from back in college, Tomato Head is still great. The menu has hardly changed, which I love. Lots of delicious salads, pizzas & sandwiches & a great selection of drinks. This will always be one of my favourite restaurants in Knoxville. So many memories here!

Pizza is 9.4 light fluffy yet crispy crust.. Olive oil base 4cheese sub ricotta, garlic and oregano light char. Place is large, nice music but, plain/clean cut for the area and the quality of food. I'm only mentioning since Google asked. The art is a nice touch. Maybe more I don't know.

Stopped here on the way thru to Nashville due to the good reviews. We ordered the red pepper Air Head as an appetizer as recommended by our server, Ella. I’d never heard of something like this. Wow! It was blown up and the bread was chewy, light, and tasty! It had just a little bit of spice and marinara for dipping. I would’ve eaten one just for a meal! And the Marinara sauce was so vibrant and flavorful! We also shared the 4 cheese pizza. Omg! The cheeses just blended together so nicely and the hint of EVOO just put it over the top!! And the pizza crust had huge bubbles in it and it was so chewy and delicious!! Even the water was good! No hint of chlorine or any other weirdness you sometimes get with water. Ella was a great waitress! Very nice and helpful. We’ll definitely be back!! What an amazing place!!

Bistro at the Bijou is a charming restaurant located in one of the city's oldest buildings, dating back to 1820. The bistro offers a seasonal menu with comfort food that complements the shows in the attached theater. This historic site has welcomed notable figures, including Ulysses S. Grant and Andrew Jackson, and has served as a hospital during the Civil War. Today, it hosts various acts and the Knoxville Chamber Orchestra.
I work downtown and am always searching for a good lunch deal. A coworker recommended this spot! For $10 (+ $2 tip) I got a large turkey sandwich and a cup of vegan chili (soup of the day). The chili is very flavorful, especially to be vegan! The sandwich is nothing too special, but the value is hard to beat. The combo also comes with a side- I chose fruit. I’ll have to come back to dine in. The staff was very kind, and the atmosphere was cozy and old-world feeling. I loved the large oil painting behind the bar. Overall a really great spot.

I really like the vibe of this place—good music, cool atmosphere, and not too crowded when we came. The food was solid, but the onion rings were overly greasy (looked good at first but there was a ton of grease). The burger was well-cooked and tasted great, and my wife enjoyed her tofu scampi. They also have a solid vegetarian/vegan menu, which is a plus. Service was a bit off—I had to go up to the bar to get another drink because our server wasn’t checking in much. There was some confusion with the drink order, but they did adjust the bill when I brought it up, which I appreciated. Overall, I do like this place and plan to come back. Hoping for a better service experience next time!

Amazing atmosphere! We were greeted right away and felt welcome from the moment we walked in. This was our first time dining here, and it absolutely will not be our last! Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for great food, great vibes, and an all-around fantastic experience.

Pretty good food and live music, great jazz to go with it. They don’t take reservations but on Monday night plenty of tables. We got the goat cheese mousse, the fresh Burrata which was fantastic and came with tomatoes grown by the owner. Some of the best tomatoes you will eat. Our server was Martha and she was so very sweet. We weren’t too hungry so between the four of us we ordered two entrées, the chicken bruschetta and a shrimp pasta. Both were pretty good. My husband is eating here many times and he absolutely loves the pork chops. But the dessert, oh my God the dessert. Coconut cream pie delicious the peanut butter chocolate pie, absolutely out of this world! Don’t skip dessert. Pro tip: there is a parking lot adjacent to the restaurant. Very convenient so that you don’t have to drive around looking for a parking spot.

The atmosphere was nice, wait staff was fantastic. We were a party of four and each got something different, salmon cakes, pasta, jambalaya, and salmon. We also had wings and onion dip for appetizers. I would say the prices were fair, however the food was mediocre. We won’t be back. There are too many other restaurants downtown that have superb food.

First Watch is a popular cafe chain that offers health-conscious breakfast, brunch, and lunch options such as omelets, salads, and soups. The restaurant serves fresh ingredients and a variety of dishes including trendy avocado toast, traditional breakfast items like eggs, bacon, and pancakes, as well as unique offerings like the BLT Benedict. In addition to their coffee and cocktails, First Watch features a juice bar with refreshing options like the purple haze, kale tonic, and morning meditation juices.
Okay, let's start with the entrance, the door was held by staff and we were seated immediately. I love that but it has ZERO to do with my overall stars. It is a bonus to a great start. Our server was Alex and she was straight up with our questions, which I totally LOVED! Her service was spot on, checking on us just enough without being over bearing. PERFECT 5 STARS THERE! I am a coffee snob (as most of my followers know I own a coffee shop, so of course I don't like most coffee). With that said, the coffee was not bad and I was able to drink it black without a big bitter drop. Nice job on that one for stock coffee! Then we got the maple bacon- million dollar bacon. The flavors woke up my mouth with such a variety that I could have sat in that moment for a hot minute or 30!! We got the double crunch breakfast tacos. They were moist (always a big? with pork) and nice textures as well. The portion was large (we split the meal and we are FULL). I would recommend this place completely and will return to try other menu items. Than you for the excellent service and good food!

I haven’t been in before but I’ve had food delivered from this location a few times. This morning I ordered the wild berry lavender French toast, Purple Haze drink, and cheesy grits. Always love eating here.. the food is exceptional. I overeat every single time! Breakfast is the best thing on the menu. The million dollar bacon is one of my favorites. The food wasn’t bad, but I hate feeling like I’m buying breakfast with expansion packs. Would it kill them to have a straightforward menu and include sides without upselling? Honestly, you get a better deal at Cracker Barrel with food that’s just as good. So, if you’re okay paying more for breakfast just because, go here—otherwise, go literally anywhere else.

This is one of those places where you can tell thought & care goes into every dish. We've been going here almost every weekend since spring and the specials never disappoint and I've gotten the same thing every time (the chicken biscuit) and it is always equally as delicious. Great coffee too! And their service can't be beat. Very family friendly. They clearly love what they do and it shows through their food! Thank you for always being a bright spot in our weekend.

This is the best restaurant in Knoxville!! My boyfriend and I went to OliBea for the first time 3 years ago and were beyond impressed! Now we go almost every weekend! The chef is absurdly talented and every meal we've had there was full of flavor combinations I've never tasted anywhere else. The staff is so friendly. Plus, they are partnered with Honeybee Coffee and have a full-service coffee bar. They are great with allergies, too! I have Celiac's Disease and I have never reacted to anything they have served me. Their menu is marked for gluten-free and vegetarian options, and they can typically make any of the specials gluten-free also. They have a separate fryer to accommodate allergies, not to mention their fried chicken can be made gluten-free! They are honestly the best! Go try out OliBea sometime!

Amazing! My husband I were traveling through town and stopped in for brunch. The food looked delicious, and I didn’t stop to take a snap before digging in (that’s why the photos are clearly post-bite). The smashed potatoes are light and creamy inside and crispy outside - the perfect combo. The sage sausage was delicious, and the eggs were poached (for me) and fried (for him) to perfection. The biscuits are fluffy, and who even knew that English muffin bread was even a thing?!? Oh, and the bloody Mary’s and mimosas were top notch. To top it all off, it was blue skies inside with a wall of Dolly. Highly recommend. TL;DR - Yes, 100% you should try this place.

I am not generally a biscuit and gravy person, but I dream about this dish. They fried a chicken thigh, so it is so perfectly juicy. And that gravy is so perfect for the best biscuit I’ve ever had. A solid five-star breakfast spot right on Market Square! Ruby Sunshine is cute, vibrant, and packed with delicious options from start to finish. I kicked things off with a morning mocktail — refreshing and perfectly cooling. The food was spot on: my Eggs Benedict came with braised pork and hollandaise on a buttery brioche bun that was cooked to perfection. Every bite was flavorful and satisfying. Great service, fun atmosphere, and a place I’d gladly return to!

Ordered to go and walked in to pick up. Got a basic greeting instructing me to find the pick up area by the bar. My drinks were sitting there (hot and iced coffees), but the food wasn’t ready yet. Food was placed in to go area about 10 minutes after my arrival. When I checked my order I noticed that the food wasn’t hot-surprising since I was there when the order came out. I will say the food had good flavor. The cook on my poached eggs were inconsistent. Loved the flavor of the food and might would try again on a dine in order. Very disappointed in lukewarm food. For $52 I would expect great food and friendly service.

I took out-of-town family here for lunch on Sat, 10/25. I put us on the wait list online. They were extremely busy and texted updates about when our table would be ready. We walked around the farmers market while we waited for our table. All the staff were very nice. Our waitress, Falynn, was great. The Southern BLT with extra bacon, shrimp and grits, and Midas with chicken sausage were excellent. Unfortunately the fries were cold. We all enjoyed the buttermilk biscuits with butter and jam. The flavor of the hot honey chicken was odd. Unsweetened tea was excellent. We will definitely go back.

Food and service was excellent! Jodene was fabulous, attentive and made great recommendations. Try the Sweet Heat Chicken and French Toast Bites with extra sweet heat sauce will satisfy a savory and sweet craving. The fried chicken sandwich was also good with aoli. These are the loaded tater tots and the Ruby Colada. A little too much orange juice for our likes.

NOT New Orleans cuisine. They try but I’m from that area and it is not the same. More hipe than anything else. Went for my BD. Waited 1 hr. Took 1 hr to get my food, which was cold. The Bloody Mary was awful. However, the grits, french toast, orange juice, and sauce on the eggs on the eggs Benedict were very good. They did not have the original eggs Benedict. Just NOT impressed for the time and money we spent.

My wife and I were passing through Knoxville and decided to google a breakfast for pickup so we could get back on the road. Ruby Sunshine did not disappoint!! We love the variety on the menu which also makes it hard to choose something considering there’s so many things we’ve never had before. We settled with the Concho eggs Benedict and the Sweet Heat Chicken French Toast. The food was amazing!! We placed our order online, arrived 7 minutes prior to its estimated ready time, and it was there on the shelf waiting for us! Wonderful experience! Parking is tricky in a very busy downtown Knoxville but that’s at no fault of the restaurant, it’s worth a little inconvenience!

Praha was our server. She was amazing! The avocado toast and smash burger alongside Pineapple Mimosa were to die for. Praha was very outgoing and kind and also a fellow business major. Me and my girlfriend were visiting Knoxville for the weekend and this was our last meal in the city and it was a great way to end it off! Serving sizes were a tad smaller than other nearby places but the taste made up for it. Totally recommend this place and Praha as your server! Nick & J's Cafe is a cozy eatery located in the Hardin Valley area of Knoxville. The cafe, formerly a Huddle House, maintains a traditional diner-style atmosphere with an abundance of window seats and University of Tennessee sports memorabilia. Specializing in breakfast and lunch, the menu offers a variety of options including pancakes, omelets, breakfast sandwiches, sandwiches and burgers loaded with toppings. One popular dish is the K-Town Omelette featuring grilled chicken and hot pepper cheese.
As I travel, finding non chain restaurants that are family owned is one of my main goals in life. The food is incredible. Downplayed is an understatement. Fresh, tasty and full of flavor. The employees were great and the owner is an excellent leader. You must stop in this former "Huddle House" location redesigned Nick and J's Cafe. Seeing a mom and pop thrive where is corporate restaurant failed makes my day, everyday. Highly recommend!

Really amazing hometown home cooking style diner with deliciously seasoned food. I was very impressed with this place. Can't wait to go back. The daily special was a fantastic value. I love Nick & J’s Cafe. It’s unpretentious, friendly, and serves up food that feels like a hug. The ladies who work here are fun and loving. I felt like I was eating at home. We ordered Clfty Farm’s Country breakfast (2 eggs, country ham, home fried with toast) and biscuits & gravy. Everything was delicious. I had a hard time resisting the giant cookies at the check out. 😁 We’ll be back.

I was really hoping Nick and J’s Cafe would end up being one of those hidden gems—the kind of mom-and-pop place you can brag about finding and call your go-to breakfast spot. The food was good, maybe not quite fantastic, but certainly enjoyable. The biscuits and gravy had a nice flavor, and the eggs and bacon were cooked well. I did ask for the bacon to be cooked well done, so if you prefer it less crisp, they can probably accommodate that too. The potatoes were a little undercooked, but everything else was very satisfactory. What really stood out was the service—friendly, attentive, and exactly what you hope for in a local diner. The value was also solid; you get a hearty meal for a fair price. That said, I can’t help but compare it to Waffle House, which in my opinion still has them beat when it comes to breakfast overall (I know that might ruffle some feathers, but it’s the truth for me). All in all, Nick and J’s is worth a visit if you enjoy supporting a locally owned spot with good food, great service, and fair prices. If I could give it a 4.5, I probably would—but since I have to pick, it’s a 4 out of 5.

If you’re looking for a classic diner experience this is where it’s at! Fast service, delicious food, and very clean. Every part of the staff we interacted with was very friendly. This establishment has been around over 40 years, so we thought we’d give it a try. For a breakfast diner, I was pleasantly surprised with the prices. Seems like everywhere else is overpriced, but not Nick & J’s. My biscuits and gravy and the side of breakfast potatoes were really good! These are not frozen potatoes which is what so many other places have. My husband also enjoyed his meal of fried eggs, bacon, toast and potatoes. Service was great and the bathrooms clean. Highly recommend!

Copper Cellar West is a must-visit restaurant in Knoxville, offering a delightful dining experience. The original venue on Cumberland Avenue exudes a vintage charm with its wooden bar area and tall stools. It's known for succulent burgers, expertly cooked steaks, and an indulgent Sunday brunch featuring oversized Belgian waffles. The restaurant prides itself on excellent service and offers both vegetarian and meat-eaters menus to cater to diverse preferences.
We decided to celebrate our anniversary here and were glad we did. Our entire experience was just enjoyable. The atmosphere was cozy yet romantic. Our server Dylan B was just wonderful and gave us just the perfect amount of attention. The amount of food for the price was just great! My husband got the cowboy special and we ate the lefts of the 28oz steak for days! Loved the fresh bread and the blue cheese grits were completely out of this world! Steaks were cooked perfectly! The only thing that was less than perfect was they plated our sides backwards so we had to carefully switch them as the dishes were very hot. But no biggie, at least they were what we ordered!!! Have to say though...we both agree, that the best part of the meal was the side order of mushrooms! These are a MUST! Overall, I would highly recommend this place.

Always good food and fine service. The atmosphere is vintage upscale, warm without being snooty or bourgie. Steakhouse menu fare is well-prepared and tasty. The seasonal strawberry shortcake dessert is 100% worth saving room for.

What an amazing first experience! Service was fantastic, the food on point and the prices were reasonable. A 28oz. ribeye for $56.00? Absolutely! Cooked to the perfection of rare, melting in your mouth delicious. The prime rib was good, though she would have preferred it served more on the rare side. Oysters? Huge and sooo good! The crab dip was another winner at the table. The other half of the restaurant, Cappuccino is an Italian menu which is alleged to be just as good. A tip from our server? Eat at the bar and you can order from both menus if you chose! We will definitely be back to sample more of the dishes they serve.

Delicious brunch buffet with a wide variety of foods. There is a make your own Belgian waffle area, a chef to make delicious custom order omelets and the prime rib carving station was fantastic! If that wasn’t enough, they have lots of amazing desserts. A must try on Sunday!

Recently came here to celebrate for a family event. Had as an appetizer a cup of the clam chowder with oyster crackers also had a few pieces of fried calamari and buttered sourdough bread. Main course was the Shrimp Chesapeake: baked lump blue crab imperial and jumbo shrimp with succulent scampi butter and buttered mashed potatoes. Overall very tasty.

I have only visited for the Sunday brunch and I was not impressed. The omelet and the waffle were delicious but everything else I tried, well let's just say I expected more than a fancy continental breakfast. Especially when it is $80 for two people.

This place is a vibe. Never quite been to a steakhouse with this unique ambience. The place screams 1970s steakhouse and it’s super cool imo. Even the music they play is from the 70s lol. Plus good food and good prices and good service. Check it out, you won’t regret it!

Sunspot is a charming restaurant that offers a mix of Southwestern, Caribbean, and Latin American cuisine along with vegetarian options and draft brews. Located near the University of Tennessee campus, it's a popular spot for brunch or early lunch. The menu features Southern specialties like fried green tomatoes and indulgent dishes such as the Fat Elvis Breakfast Burrito for vegetarians.
We started with the queso and chips, and it was absolutely delicious. The cheese had a rich, smooth consistency that I loved. For my entrée, I chose the Rattlesnake Pasta, which tasted incredibly fresh and wholesome. The only thing that would make the experience even better is if they included calorie information on the menu. Overall, the food was vibrant, flavorful, and thoroughly enjoyable.

FANTASTIC surprise! Right at the edge of campus. Phenomenal food!!! Recommend the BGLT, the shrimp and grits, the Brussels, and the herb chicken! Very fresh and super flavorful! All of the food being run out of the kitchen looked great! Want to try the salads, the shrimp tacos, the sweet potato fries, and the burger next time. Can't wait to come back!!!

Our party came here for lunch and drinks before a University of Tennessee football game. We thought the food was good. It's not the biggest menu, but I certainly enjoyed my burger. They have some interesting drinks available as well, including a boozy cold brew drink for those who want to party but didn't sleep well. There's an upstairs bar with an outdoor balcony and additional bathrooms.

Nice place! Chips and salsa very tasty. Veggie soup and black bean burger. Burger had avocado! Ummm…. Staff pleasant.

Food- The rattlesnake past was delicious. Very filling but not too heavy. My favorite was the shrimp and grits. It was my first time trying shrimp and grits and it did not disappoint! They practically drown the grits in some heavy, flavorful sauce and there were so many toppings. The portion sizes were huge too. Service- We apparently went when there was a football game which we didn't know about at the time, so the restaurant was packed and the service was terrible. It took us about 20 minutes to be seated and another 20 minutes to get our food after we ordered. It took way too long so we were frustrated but the food made up for it.
JaeHee K — Google review
Very popular place!! The food is SO good. My 3 friends and I came here on a Friday night probably around 7pm and ended up having to wait an hour 10 minutes. The wait time makes sense with how many people were in there and the sorority event taking up the upstairs seating. We were able to get seats at the bar to have a drink/s while we waited which was perfectly great (their blackberry or blueberry mule I can't remember which is literally the best drink I've ever had). With this being said, I would HIGHLY recommend making a reservation, especially if you are coming on a weekend. Other than the wait time, this meal was great, such a fun spot to spend time with friends!

This place is a little gem in Knoxville. My mother said her shrimp and grits was best she ever had. I loved my blackbean burger and broccolini. Great choices for vegetarians! I love that you can get delicious vegetable sides here with your main. One star lost for atmosphere because the lighting is a bit dark. Great service from the ladies.

Went here after the Old City Market for the salads. We were not disappointed. The vibe was dim and moody and service was fast and attentive. The only thing we didn’t like was the espresso martini. It was very strong and more milky than espresso.

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store is a delightful chain restaurant that embodies the essence of American comfort food, complete with an inviting general store. During my recent brunch visit in Knoxville, I was greeted by the warm hospitality of our server Amanda, who made us feel right at home. The charming decor evoked nostalgia, especially with festive touches for Christmas and Halloween adorning the space. While enjoying a hearty meal, I couldn't help but appreciate the cozy atmosphere that Cracker Barrel is known for.
Visited 10/16/24 while traveling, for lunch. Visited mid afternoon between lunch and supper crowds. We were seated immediately with no wait. It was a chilly day so the fireplace was lit and it made everything so cozy. Our waitress was friendly, took our orders correctly and the food did not take long to get to our table. The store was well stocked with Fall and Christmas items plus the usual goodies. Location was very convenient to I-75 just north of Knoxville. Bathrooms were clean. Would definitely stop here again!!

Absolutely pleasantly surprised 😮 😲 the food is delicious 😋. The pancakes 🥞 delicious the biscuits and gravy are good, the fish and chips 🍟 😋 delicious, the fried chicken 🍗 delicious. The cheese burger 🍔 delicious, the chicken and dumplins also delicious. Highly recommend everyone to try CRACKER BARREL.
Dr B — Google review
A few weeks before I had ordered the sampler platter from Uber eats and it was plentiful and outside of the chicken being a bit too crispy, it was quite tasty. Fast forward two weeks later and I ordered the same thing and not only was it less than half of what I previously ordered the food was atrocious on ALL LEVELS!!! The fried chicken was burnt and dry, the meatloaf was cold and had ketchup slathering the burnt parts, the fries were cold, the Mac and cheese was either burnt or had some kind of black stuff in it and the dumplings were cold and congealed with zero chicken and the mass of grotesqueness biscuits were were burnt and the cornbread dry and hard. My wife ordered the vegetarian plate and without sounding redundant, she couldn't eat it. Upon calling to complain about these atrocious meals, I was basically called a liar and the blame was passed off onto Uber eats. I offered to send them photos and I was informed that photos can be manipulated and once Uber eats picks it up, it's no longer their responsibility. I have no idea if the rude and dismissive person that I spoke with knows how the Uber Eats app works, but you are notified when they arrive, when they leave and when they deliver. You can even watch it in real time on your screen. So you can't pass the blame on them for it being cold and congealed...I live less than seven minutes away. As far as my photos being "manipulated", they are posted on this review. If any photography analyst would like to examine them, I would love to get your opinion. Also what the rude and dismissive person on the other end of the phone didn't know is that not only am I leaving a Google review, but that I am a Cracker Barrel stock holder and have been since the mid 90s. Do you NOT think I want you to succeed??? In conclusion, this particular Cracker Barrel, not all, should be avoided. There's a plethora of restaurants in a one mile vicinity that you can go to or order from that are consistent with portions, won't serve you burnt or cold food and won't treat you like a liar when you bring it to their attention. Go or order from them. Skip this place.

I wanted to say a HUGE thank you to Abigail F (that’s the name on my receipt, so I hope that’s her name! She’s beautiful with black hair, extremely nice, and was shift lead). I placed a to-go order today (6/25) right before 5pm. I’ve wanted to try the new campfire smores dessert, but unfortunately it’s dine in only and I rarely come in with others. Abigail extended a very kind gesture for me today that she didn’t have to do, but I just wanted to say I appreciate it so much!! It’s the little things in life and I know it may not seem like a big deal, but it made my day that you went out of your way for me. I truly appreciate you!!

It's been years since I dropped in for breakfast at Cracker Barrel. The pancakes are still delicious with crispy buttery edges. The fried apples are divine. Everything tasted delicious but the best thing at this location was Ms. Anna. She's a sweetheart of a server Very attentive and caring. The whole staff was welcoming. Still a rare find when you travel!

I had a wonderful experience at Cracker Barrel recently. The food was exactly what I hoped for—warm, hearty, and full of that classic comfort flavor they’re known for. I ordered the Chicken n' Dumplins with a side of mac and cheese and green beans, and everything tasted homemade. What really made the visit stand out, though, was the service. Our waitress was incredibly courteous, attentive without being overbearing, and had such a kind, welcoming attitude. She made sure our drinks were always full, checked in with a smile, and even chatted briefly with our kids, making them feel right at home. Between the cozy atmosphere, delicious food, and outstanding service, this Cracker Barrel visit reminded me why it’s a favorite for so many. We’ll definitely be back!

Sami's Cafe is a charming, family-friendly eatery that has been delighting the West Knoxville community for over a decade. This cozy spot specializes in comfort food, making it an ideal destination for breakfast and lunch. The inviting atmosphere sets the stage for a relaxed dining experience, whether you're enjoying their famous cheeseburger served on toast or indulging in hearty breakfast specials like tender country ham paired with light and fluffy homemade biscuits.
We get to stop in to Sami's once a year. It is always good. The servers are always friendly and competent. The atmosphere is a cafe and so comfortable. The food is always great!
Katie K — Google review
My stepson and I were on the hunt for a classic, home cooked breakfast, and Sami's came through with flying colors. We decided to ditch the big chains for a local spot, and let me tell you, they absolutely did not disappoint. From the moment we sat down, the experience was wonderful. Our server, Katie, was exceptional-very courteous, prompt, and took great care of us. It's clear the staff takes pride in their service, which elevates the entire meal. The menu was impressively diverse, offering something for everyone, but we were focused on breakfast classics. I had the eggs and sausage, and everything tasted wonderfully fresh. The biscuits were a true standout; they quite literally melted in my mouth, hitting that perfect sweet spot between fluffy and buttery. And a special mention must go to the sweet tea—it is absolutely to die for! If you are looking to escape the corporate feel of chain restaurants and want to support a local spot that serves genuinely great, comforting food, I highly recommend Sami's. We will absolutely be back for more!

First time at Sami's Cafe and looking forward to my next visit there. I seated myself and was impressed with the fast and friendly service at this restaurant that is open for breakfast and lunch only. My order as a first timer at most restaurants is a club sandwich and french fries with a Dr. Pepper. My waitress placed took the order and it wasn't no time before she brought me a club sandwich that was unbelievable, lightly buttered toasted bread packed with all of the essentials that make a great club sandwich paired up with perfectly cooked crinkle fries. The sandwich was large enough that half of it went home with me for a late evening meal. Thanks Sami's Cafe for an awesome first visit and meal.

This is a great little cafe. Food was excellent. We got there after breakfast (served until 11). So we had mushroom Swiss burgers. One with fries and one with onion rings. Both excellent. Homemade vegetable soup was good too. Sami the owner greeted us at the door and all employees were extremely friendly. They knew many of the patrons that came in. If you want great homemade food, this is your place to stop.

The menu is a delightful fusion of traditional Southern flavors infused with creative twists inspired by Chef Holly Hambright's diverse culinary background, including French and Latin influences.
This place is amazing for breakfast and lunch. The restaurant is large with plenty of seating and parking spots. Very much suitable for large parties. Our server Gina was very sweet, attentive, and knowledgeable as well. I ordered a spicy NERD bowl ( spicy biscuit, topped with 2 eggs and delicious sausage gravy). For my side I choose fresh fruit. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Update to respond to owner question - I did not try one but did see them on the counter when I was leaving. I will be sure to try one next visit! Met up with a friend for breakfast. Having never been here we asked our server Heather, about the history. She was very knowledgeable and added information about some of the market items. Food was delicious. I had the Cali Benedict. It isn't served on an english muffin so I added one, ordered firm yolks, and my side was the hashbrown casserole. The paprika cream sauce was a tasty change from hollandaise sauce. Atmosphere is very comfortable. Service was great! I will definitely return.

Came in late. Sat at the counter. My server (didn’t catch her name) was wonderful; I gave her my top three lunch sandwich choices- she recommended the pulled pork Cuban. It was fabulous. Went on a Sunday around 11 so a lot of people waiting outside- was told it would be about 45 min wait but only took about 30 mins. Food was good, tasted fresh. Service good, nice staff. Solid overall!

Have been asking my friend who is a big foodie what the best breakfast spot in Knoxville is. He would always say Holly’s. Was headed to town for a Sam’s run and texted him to verify. He mentioned that it’s actually called Gourmet’s Market but had always referred to it because of the former Exec Chef’s name. Arrived just before 11 and it was very crowded. Almost left when we saw all the people outside but went ahead and asked how long of a wait (it was Saturday morning). They said 20 minutes and gave us beeper #13. At 10 minutes we started seeing people that arrived after us be seated. There were several open tables and my wife started to get a little testy. Since they said 20 minutes I figured I’d wait it out and then ask if the beeper was working. Just after 20 I did just that and they asked my last name. When I told her she couldn’t find it realizing whoever gave me the beeper didn’t write down the name so the beeper wasn’t in the seating rotation. She took us to a table immediately. Backing up, they do have a very small market inside with some cheese, maple syrup, unique sodas, trail mix and other treats. They also have a Coffee Station where you can order your foo-foo drinks or hard core caffeine hangover helpers. Got to our table and talked to our server (Lex) who was 10-Star. She directed us through the menu and got us rolling. I went for breakfast but she talked me into the Vitello Sandwich. Wife had the Egg Sandwich Panini. We enjoyed both but the menu and plates going by us had us so curious that we are definitely going to return and work our way through the menu. The Breakfast portions looked perfect and the prices were very reasonable. Did I mention that Lex was an awesome server? Will definitely try to find our way to her table next trip.

Farmacy is a popular restaurant in Knoxville, known for its casual and airy atmosphere and thoughtfully sourced Southern-inspired dishes. The founder, Bettina Hamblin, brings her childhood love for cooking and connection to the kitchen, focusing on fresh local ingredients. The menu features southern classics like hot chicken and waffles as well as creative offerings such as churro waffles and Enlightened Bowl.
Our server was great. Super nice and chill. The daily special was chicken/spinach enchiladas and they were delicious. The beans were too sweet for me and reminded me of pork n beans. Desert was so yummy. The atmosphere was relaxed. Great lunch place!
TINA B — Google review
My party of three arrived on a Saturday just after 11 AM, and within 45 minutes the restaurant had a noticeable wait — a sign of its popularity. We were seated with Alexander, who did an excellent job handling my multiple food allergies with care and ensured no cross-contamination. We began with Vietnamese coffee and beignets. While the frozen version on the menu wasn’t available, I didn’t mind since Vietnamese coffee is typically served iced. The beignets leaned a bit sweet, but the raspberry smear paired well and balanced them nicely. For entrées, everything was well-prepared: my eggs were cooked thoroughly as requested, the arugula was fresh and crisp, and the sweet potato hash was flavorful. The waffles were excellent — my son especially enjoyed the banana pudding served alongside them. The chilled salmon salad with lemon and artichoke was also a refreshing highlight that we all shared. To finish, we tried the Dubai chocolate-inspired dessert. It was good overall, though my table had mixed opinions — positive but not the standout dish of the meal. The only drawback was the atmosphere near our table: several younger staff members gathered at the front and were chatting loudly, which became a distraction. Overall, we had a great experience with attentive service, thoughtfully prepared dishes, and unique menu options. Despite the minor noise issue, I will happily return.

Great brunch spot! Lots of options that kept our whole group happy. The beignets were pillowy soft with a nice chew, came out piping hot, and paired perfectly with raspberry honey.. so good. The waffle batter reminded me of funnel cake (in the best way) but had the texture of a moist, fluffy waffle. The biscuits were fresh and soft, served with savory gravy and sweet bacon pieces. The Shawarmacy Chicken Sandwich was delicious, though it could’ve used a little more tzatziki. All in all, highly recommend. We’ll definitely be back! Items ordered: Mimosa Flight, Beignets, Shawarmacy Chicken, Biscuits and Gravy, Rise 'n' Shine, and several Churro Waffles.

We enjoyed our dining experience here, our waitress was very friendly, remembered our order perfectly without writing it down and always made sure our water glasses were full. We loved the eclectic and fun environment. We went on a Saturday for brunch, the food was good but we felt it was a bit overpriced. The Brussel sprout combination was refreshing from what you see everywhere else but somewhat burnt for our liking. The burger was well seasoned but a bit on the salty side. The salad was really fresh and I enjoyed the raspberry vinaigrette. My partner got the chicken shawarma and enjoyed it too- but both sandwiches were really messy, so super thankful for the cloth napkins. We most likely will return to try some other items.

I came for lunch here and have ordered tuna bowl and also wanted to try Dubai chocolate (I’ve moved here recently from Dubai) Tuna bowl - there was not enough salt. I would serve with bowl any sauce, dressing, for sure salt and pepper to add in case of client feels it needs more salt or any dressing, sauce. Dubai chocolate - it’s not Dubai chocolate 😁it had no enough crispy dough kataifi and zero taste of tahini. Not even sure if tahini sauce was added there. This desert is not only about pistachio paste with chocolate, I would improve this dessert. And the lady who took me to the table was not very friendly. I am always happy to be back to places and give second chance or try some other dishes if I feel I’m welcomed there. But atmosphere and the design of the restaurant is very beautiful

My boyfriend and I stopped here on a roadtrip—we really loved this local, farm fresh place and would choose it over any chain! The atmosphere was very modern and inviting, and the food was not only delicious, but also healthy, fresh, and accommodating for gluten intolerance and other dietary restrictions. The gluten free bread was also moist—something most gluten free breads lack. Additionally, our server Annabelle was kind, attentive, and quick! We really feel like the server’s attitude can make or break a restaurant experience, and she did great. 10/10, would eat here again if we are ever passing through the area in the future!

Maple Street Biscuit Company is a casual cafe that offers a delectable selection of biscuit sandwiches and Southern sides for breakfast and lunch. Despite occasional mix-ups with orders, the brunch experience at this Knoxville establishment was delightful. While communication between cooks and order takers could be improved, the warm and flavorful meals make it worth a visit. Although not local to Knoxville, this southern-chain eatery is highly recommended for its must-try biscuits when in town.
Amazing absolutely amazing. The service was friendly. The food was fantastic, freshly prepared and cooked to order. Came here for some breakfast on Sunday morning and it was awesome. It wasn’t super crowded when we got there, but definitely filled up. The service was super friendly and fast. They were also able to answer any questions we had about the menu. We got the Farmer specialty biscuit and the Spinach Egg and Cheese Classic Biscuit, along with a fountain soda and a Maple Vanilla Latte. The food came out super fast and was delicious. The combination of the apple butter and the bacon and chicken on the Farmer was perfect. Slightly Smokey and sweet while still being savory and filling. The Classic Biscuit was light and filling. I loved the creamy goat cheese with the pepper jam it added a nice spiciness with a hit of sweet to it all. The egg was cooked perfectly how I wanted it. The selection is great, there is something for everyone on the menu. But, the service here was fantastic. Someone was constantly walking the restaurant making sure that people had what they needed and that their coffee bar was stocked. It’s a great place to grab some breakfast.

Outstanding food. Had the Squawking Goat and it was top notch. We got there 45 minutes before closing so the biscuits weren’t as fresh as they could have been but it didn’t matter. Chicken was moist and crunchy, perfectly cooked and great flavor. The fried goat cheese stole the show but the chicken and pepper jelly showed up and carried their weight. Coffee was very good as well. Definitely coming back again.

Pulled in feeling for some southern cooking. I had the grits bowl. It came with scrambled eggs, cheese, bacon and a dash of hot sauce. The grits were creamy and everything was delicious. The side of biscuit with the jam was also very good. My girl had the fried green tomato and pimento cheese biscuit. It was also good. Everything was very good! Would recommend this to anyone feeling for something southern!

He tended to us every step of the way, made the most delicious maple vanilla latte, offered insight on the menu items and even took our plates when we were finished. 10/10 experience!

Dad really liked his bowl but our 2 chicken biscuits were cold. Don't know how when it's made to order. We sat by the counter and ate right away so it was not because it sat with us for long. It did take a while to get our order so I'm betting it sat in the kitchen for a while. Gravy was good and hot so we used that to heat up the chicken. Good flavor with all of it.

Great Place to eat, makes me think of moms cooking. Great omelette and cooked amazing!!! The fried steak was so good. Cheese grits was good. Definitely a new place to frequent!!!
Robert B — Google review
Why would I eat at Rami's Cafe again? First of all the service was very quick and friendly. No one rushed you and everybody seemed to be having a good time. The food was very good, I can't say it was the best breakfast I've ever eaten, but I've dined at so many places over my lifetime, it's hard to find the best place every time I go out to eat. The only negative things I could say were the sausage gravy could have used more pepper, the chicken fried steak was more of a frozen patty and the coffee price was a bit high. Not horrible things mind you. I could always add a little more pepper, for the price it would be hard to expect real steak and with Starbucks charging what they charge for a cup of coffee it's understandable. But here's the real reason, compared to chain trendy places like First Watch the food was much tastier and a heck of a lot more affordable. Honestly even fast food joints can get more expensive these days and the quality of fast food is abysmal. So give Rami's Cafe a try I'm sure you'll be pleased!

Love this mom and pop! We try to find these places as we go out and about. I had the Greek omelet. However, I took off the mushrooms (we were told they are canned and I dont like canned mushrooms) and substituted green peppers. Honestly, I would do it again, even if the mushrooms were fresh because it was absolutely perfection. Because we own a cafe, it is so hard for me to actually "like" food because I am picky on quality, freshness and just that "love factor" instead of the cow herding food joints. If you get it, then you know what I am talking about. Nora was our waitress and she made excellent recommendations and was on top of taking care of us, so that is appreciated! I also ordered pancakes with blueberries, bananas and pecans. Hubby is NOT a fan of pecans OR pancakes but tasted mine and was like, oh wow, that is good. No syrup is required....it is a perfect balance of sweet and all the yumminess! Hubby got the potato omelet. He ate it all (unlike him) with the exception of the one bite I took. It was really good. I just dont eat a lot of potatoes. We walked out with a bill that was around $25 with literally 3 meals (because there was a full order of the loaded pancakes), plus our omelets! We did not get drinks, but seriously, priced well, clean place, EXCELLENT FOOD, AND Great service....checks all the boxes for me and that SAYS A LOT! Oh, we will be back....that is guaranteed! Go here over other places in the area (we have tried most of them) and thank me later 😉😋

The food was delicious, and the service was fast and attentive. Small dining room with limited seat yourself seating. The line moves fast. Homefries were done right. The omelet was bursting with fillings. Biscuits were light and fluffy, and the gravy was flavorful and creamy. We went on a Saturday around noon, and it was packed. Well worth the short wait, and we will definitely go back.

It's a very homey restaurant, very small and very quaint. The food was absolutely amazing. I had their breakfast and they made everything perfect. The waitress was absolutely beautiful and sweet. I can't remember her name but she was a young tall blond woman. And I absolutely loved her

Absolutely nothing wrong with this place. The blueberry pancakes 🥞 were nothing short of divine... (byo maple syrup), but the pancake syrup was more than ample for these delicious pancakes with fresh blueberries baked in so they were perfectly plump and juicy... So, so good y'all. The wait staff is happy and attentive, and helpful, even when the table isn't hers. That teamwork isn't even in restaurants, much less delis/cafes. My Arnold Palmers were spot on each time. The entire experience was just pleasant. From the business being discussed over breakfast a couple tables over, or the old man who's apparently lost his filter, but the waitresses took him in stride and treated him with kindness, and the local news on the TV... It just is nice to sit down at home once in a while. Sorry, I forgot photos.

I love me a hole in the wall kinda place with great food. This is not that. 😑 The food was edible. I had a Western omelette. It was just the ham, cheese, tomato, onion rolled in a plain egg omelette. So when I went to eat it, all the stuff kept falling out. This omelette was overpriced at$9.99 I also wanted a side of just 2 pancakes I got 3 and they were worse that pancakes I make myself at home. They were flat and bland. They were also $9.99 my BFF had the deluxe griddle breakfast with blueberry pancakes 2 pieces of bacon and 2 eggs. While the pancakes were good they were small, the bacon was good and they eggs were too that was$11.99 and each glass of milk was$3.49*3 so for 2 people the bill was $46. The price was not worth the quality of the food. They were busy and we felt like we were forgotten about by our server.

If you're on the hunt for a delightful dining experience in Knoxville, look no further than STIR. This vibrant spot is ideal for any meal of the day—be it brunch, lunch, or dinner. With a diverse menu that features mouthwatering options like Char-Broiled Oysters and Blackened Fish Tacos, there's something to satisfy every palate. The casual yet inviting atmosphere makes it perfect for gathering with friends or enjoying some solo time.
A great restaurant in the Old City that offers a sensational menu with fantastic special menu items popping up monthly. The staff is always friendly and offers great recommendations. For those who like to partake in rarer bourbons, Stir features very reasonably priced pours of some fantastic selections. Stir’s excellence is not only found at dinner time, however, as they feature an excellent brunch menu that includes a buffet of pastries and various salads with your entree purchase. I cannot recommend Stir enough; it is one we have, and will continue, to frequent quite often.

Great atmosphere with an edgy feeling. Our waiter was so nice and knowledgeable about the menu. She helped us make an excellent choice in trying the speciality oysters. The bourbon, cocktail and wine list is impressive. The entrees are beautifully plated and delicious!

My wife and I eat out several times a week and I wanted to try someplace new to add to the rotation so that we are not always eating at the same places. This isn't it. Kaylee C was our server and I think she did not want to be there, and for the most part she wasn't. I would have given them a 1 star except the Cheeseburger Eggrolls were delicious. I had the Chicken Piccata and my wife had the Halibut Piccata. There was no flavor to the Chicken Piccata at all. I tend to like bland foods, but this was just boring. Worse than what you get on airplanes. The roasted vegetables were tasteless as well. My wife never complains about her meals, maybe because she doesn't pay for them, but she said it wasn't very good, not bad, just not good, especially for the price. The restaurant is very loud as well. Very difficult to have a conversation. Parking is a problem and we had to park in the lot across the street. Two hour minimum and it's $15.99 for two hours. They are very proud of their parking lot, pot holes and all. The restaurant itself is pretty cool, but the food and service leaves a lot to be desired, especially at these prices. Quite frankly I'd rather eat at a Chick Filet than here, and I don't like Chick Filet. It's hard to find a decent restaurant in Knoxville, but there are a few, this one is not one of them. You can do better, and not pay $16 for parking. I have pictures, but google is not allowing me to upload them for some reason.

I had the steak frites at STIR and it was absolutely outstanding. The steak was perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful. But what truly made the experience exceptional was our server, Colten. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely made us feel taken care of. Colten’s service elevated the whole evening. Highly recommend both the steak frites and asking for Colten if you want an all-around excellent dining experience at STIR! Also, for the to-go food, he labeled and dated it. Extra stars!
Britton B — Google review
Ordered the Sesame Steak Bowl + Parmesan White Truffle Fries. The fries had really good flavor, however the texture was not it. They were not crispy at all and ended up just tasting greasy because of this. Furthermore, the steak bowl also had good flavor and was very filling but some of the ingredients didn’t match the menu? Maybe I don’t understand what they call a rice cake or siracha potato wonton but that wasn’t present in the bowl. If you’re not going to add something to the bowl, black it out on the menu or change the wording because it’s misleading. While eating, it seemed like there was only the rice, steak, kale, avocado, radish, carrot, daikon, cucumber, edamame, egg, sesame seeds, and some crispy hash browns? No rice cakes or “wontons.” The service was just alright as well, it felt like we were kinda forgotten when there wasn’t even a lot of people in the restaurant. There was no checking in on how the food was or if we needed a new water jug. Anyway, to say the least I was disappointed.

Not sure what I was in the mood to drink, but the bartender quickly asked about my preferences and crafted a Green Garden cocktail that was spot on. It paired perfectly with the mahi tacos—the light flour shells and fresh fish were outstanding. Excellent service, great atmosphere, and absolutely deserving of five stars.

This review is for Chris! He is awesome! The food is good but Chris is amazing! Fantastic espresso martini brunch deal ($11, not bad). The live music today was also a spectacular touch! The deviled eggs were not your regular deviled eggs, there was an array of 4 different genres of deviled eggs! Very fun, loved the bacon one. One of them was even pink!

American restaurant
Calhoun's On The River is a Tennessee BBQ chain that offers a casual dining experience with a family-friendly atmosphere and scenic views of the Tennessee River. Located in downtown Knoxville along the riverwalk greenway, it is a popular stop for families and friends. The restaurant is known for its hickory-smoked ribs, pork chops, smoked chicken, entree salads, and Spinach Maria side dish. With stellar service and an upbeat ambiance, Calhoun's provides a delightful dining experience.
Ate here for our anniversary June 20 2025. Nice staff as we entered the door, and we were able to get a table on the water. Actually only ones in there for a good while. The room was very cool, as it was extremely hot outside. We ordered off the specials and got an appetizer of bacon wrapped burnt ends and we each got the special of Prime rib and potato for only $20. The appetizer of bacon wrapped burnt ends were ok. They were not like any burnt ends we've ever had. They were not burnt ?? No burnt ends taste. The bbq sauce was good. Our steaks and potato were delicious and very tender. Our server was also very nice. We were served very quickly considering there was a party of 50 or more inside also ordering. Bread and slaw were also delicious. We will come back when in the area. Very pretty scenery eating on the water right out side the window and watching the river.

I came to celebrate my best friend's birthday. We had a group of 4 and made reservations for 6:30pm. I will be sharing my thoughts on the parking situation at the end of this review. This was my first time ever going to Calhoun's. My husband and I got the Southern fried green tomatoes as an appetizer and shared the fried catfish with a loaded baked potato on the side. My friend and her mom got the loaded potato skins and they were the best thing we had all night. Huge portions and packed with flavor. They initially brought out what looked like a table spoon scoop of plain mashed potatoes by mistake but were happy to bring us our loaded potato once we brought it to their attention. Servers were wonderful when they were able to come by our table but it was evident that they were extremely busy. The main reason we came was for the jalapeno pineapple margarita. It was delicious. I got a blackberry margarita that was refreshing. We were never given any straws. The portions for the catfish were underwhelming. Their loaded baked potato was tiny compared to other restaurants. The fried green tomatoes were the best I've had and it came with a sauce that was also delicious. My friend's mother got the Southern salad and it looked phenomenal. Huge portions. My husband loves their craft beer (they make their own in house) and he said the Helles was his favorite. We did tell our server it was my friend's birthday and he brought out a Sunday with spoons for us to share. Overall, I feel that the experience and quality is a little over-hyped. It does have beautiful views but the parking is atrocious. We had to park at the parking garage a mile away and walk after almost missing our reservation trying to find parking.

Well, my first visit to Knoxville. They asked outside or inside. I said outside. 30 minutes wait which is fine. When I have a choice, it's always outside for me! Finally got seated, then told that the outdoor menu is different then indoor menu and it's 2 different kitchens, and 2 different menus. Mind you, I had previously reviewed and studied the entire menu, that they did not offer outside. It is not clear that these are 2 separate restaurants. So we went with it. I lived without the menu I wanted (goodbye fried green tomatoes and a few other things). Got the half-rack ribs and they were delicious. The boy got the usual cheeseburger, so he was happy. Lol. The inside is more elegant with a totally different vibe. I loved it. Wish we had been told it was basically a bar menu outside. We left full and satisfied, but really weird experience. The hostess should make it clear that a smaller menu is offered outside and it's a separate restaurant!!!! I always do my research but I missed this. If I had known, I would choose inside! Its so classy inside with a beautiful view.

I held my son's rehearsal dinner and a private room upstairs through copper cellar Catering. The food was good, the service was outstanding, and the room is great because it opens up to a balcony over the river for a wonderful view. Nestled in the vibrant Market Square, Stock & Barrel is a must-visit for burger enthusiasts and bourbon lovers alike. This stylish eatery has carved out a niche in Knoxville's culinary landscape by offering burgers crafted from thoughtfully sourced ingredients. The beef comes from Mitchell Family Farms, while their breads are baked fresh at Flour Head Bakery and cheeses are supplied by Sweetwater Valley Farm.
My food was so good, I couldn't stop eating long enough to take a picture before I finished my plate! Best burger ever! Fries are excellent! Love the atmosphere. Great place if you are looking for burgers. They offer all different types of combos from traditional with cheese to egg or peanut butter toppings. The fries were great and the burger was cooked to order and was delicious. I tried the fried feta as an appetizer and it was good. Order if looking for a shareable . The tomato salad was refreshing and reminded me of a Greek salad. Our server was very friendly, knowledgeable and was very attentive to our table.

Busy place on game day, we got seated pretty quickly. We sat outside which was pleasant and great for people watching. We both ordered the Mother Clucker sandwich (Fried in a Buttermilk batter, Havarti cheese, Garlic Aioli, Bourbon Glaze Onions and topped with Tomato and Greens. OMG delicious. I ask for some Honey Mustard and got a Honey Dijon Vinaigrette. It was absolutely amazing, best sandwich ever! I recommend getting the split order of fries and onion rings because it’s more than you can eat. Ethan was our server and he was fantastic. Don’t go by the picture I posted. Give us the backside of my wife’s sandwich, which was grilled. My fried sandwich was huge. We will definitely go back.

We loved our visit here! My wife had the salmon burger, and I had the 'merican burger! Phenomenal burgers!! They were simply outstanding! Our waiter was awesome as well! He checked on us frequently, and gave us refills as needed. The burgers were not cheap, but they were worth it. The fries and onion rings were also absolutely delicious!! I'm not sure if I can recall onion rings that good. Definitely a "must revisit" for us!

A solid little burger joint in Market Square. Not nearly as good as the hype that it has received. Went on a Sunday at lunch and was seated immediately. The restaurant itself is nothing special, kind of plain and honestly kind of small. Our food was good with no complaints. Service was great. I wouldn’t say it’s the best burger in town by any means, but worth a try if you’re interested.

I got the Bernie. It was good but the blue cheese didn't work for me personally. The onion rings were the best I've ever had. I also ordered the Darrel strawberry bourbon cocktail. It was pretty good. My son got the bison burger, my daughter got the free bird, and her fiancé got chicken and waffles. They all loved theirs. The duck fat fries were awesome too.

Burger size portions were enough to share. Old Fashioned was a nice fit for a burger. 100s of burning to select and a variety of burgers for any dietary preference. You can even upgrade your burger meat selection to bison or change to gluten-free bun.

Stock & Barrel is an absolute gem! The food was outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and clearly crafted with care. Really is the best burger around! Chesapeake's Seafood Restaurant is a part of the Copper Cellar family and is known for its classic Eastern Shore-style dishes. The restaurant offers a refined yet inviting atmosphere with nautical antiques adorning the walls, creating a traditional Chesapeake Bay seafood restaurant ambiance. With locations in downtown Knoxville, West Knoxville, and Gatlinburg, it provides comfortable ocean-themed dining spaces and private banquet halls for various events.
Very nice restaurant. I was here on business so I was solo, but it would be a great date place. The food was amazing...I had the Oysters Rockefeller which were the best I ever had...granted I'm relatively new to oysters...not a connoisseur. Also, I had the Seared Ahi Tuna Salad and it was great.

Our department was in town for business and decided to do a group dinner. The restaurant ambiance was as shown in the review pictures and the service was amiable. The food was ok, it did not wow my pallets or my coworkers. Their drinks were very good which everyone enjoyed (cocktails and bourbon). Fun night with the team seeing we were there over 2hours…

My husband and I were excited to eat here the Friday before the UT/UGA game after waiting at Calhoun's for a parking pass. It was late, but we walked in at 9:45pm and they close at 11pm. We sat at the bar, there was no host/hostess and it was still pretty busy with out of town people in for the game. The bartender must have been on break, because he was sitting over in a booth off from the bar, and took a while to come get our drink order. He only brought us water, assuming we didn't want alcohol? Not sure. We already knew what we wanted to order since it was so late, and we were starving. We placed our order, our appetizers came out (oysters and soup). We never saw the bartender again. We waited, waited, and waited. After an hour of waiting, the 2nd bartender asked us if we wanted to place an order for more food before the kitchen closed. We looked at each other, perplexed, and mentioned to her we were waiting on a steak and crab cakes as an entree. She said it wasn't in the system. By this time it was 10:50pm, and we are STILL starving. The previous bartender never put our entrees in before he clocked out. At this point, both having worked in the service industry, I'm not asking the kitchen to fix our food from someone's else's mistake. We asked for our bill, and went to another restaurant off Gay Street. Very disappointed in this downtown restaurant. After we told some of our friends about our experience, they all mentioned we should have gone to the Turkey Creek location. We won't be back.
Emmie C — Google review
We're oyster lovers and Chesapeake's has an amazing selection. About a dozen varieties to choose from, listed with detailed descriptions of their origin and flavor profiles. Great service. Delicious Bloody Mary. Pretty high end though, I couldn't afford to hit this place up too often, but I was glad we checked it out. If you don't get the oysters then the price per head comes down significantly.
Kelly M — Google review
I’ve been to Chesapeake’s a couple of times for residency interview dinners. It’s a solid choice for that kind of setting — quiet enough to have real conversations without shouting, with a nice, professional atmosphere that feels a bit traditional. The food is generally very good (the Spinach Maria is a standout, and steaks have been reliable), though we’ve had a couple of oyster dishes that missed the mark. Service is polite and steady, nothing flashy. Overall, it’s a dependable spot for hosting interview dinners where you want good food and easy conversation.

My husband and I stopped in for an early dinner and we had the luck of getting John Michael as our server. He was very personable and we had a really nice conversation with him. He was also well versed in the menu and gave us great recommendations. I actually meant to tip him a bit more, but made a mistake with the device 🙈 Our respective meals were excellent, we both got salads, I ordered the Blackened Snapper with Acorn Squash and my hubby chose the Gumbo, Tuna and a delicious Moscow mule. Highly recommend for great food and even better service, overall a wonderful experience. Thank you!

Very Disappointing Experience – Poor Service Overshadowed the Evening Dinner started out pleasant enough, but things went downhill fast once it was time to order. When I asked for the filet and lobster tail, the waitress asked what side I wanted. I politely asked if they had mashed potatoes, and her facial expression immediately changed — she looked visibly annoyed, as if I’d done something wrong by not memorizing their side options. When I asked to see the sides menu again, she acted irritated and dismissive. Later, she brought me a cocktail that tasted overwhelmingly peppery — completely undrinkable. I asked her to take it back and simply ordered a beer instead. By that point, even the people at my table noticed her attitude and asked, “What did you do to make her so mad?” Apparently, just asking about the sides was enough to offend her. What was supposed to be a nice dinner turned into a frustrating experience because of unprofessional service and poor attitude. For the price I paid, I expected better — both in quality and courtesy. Sadly, I won’t be returning.

We come here from Maryville a few times a year. This time, food was good but not great. We enjoyed the Sunday brunch menu. My wife had eggs Chesapeake, & her biggest complaint was that the eggs weren't hot, & (never) enough crab meat. I was happier with my crab cake Benedict, as were our 2 guest from FL. Service was intermittent - didnt appear that they had a packed house. Thats why i give ya 4's. But we'll be back, & we always enjoy the holiday buffets at your other location.

We were hungry after driving to Knoxville from Gatlinburg during our Tennessee trip. We were lucky enough to stop by Downtown Grill & Brewery. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They sat us promptly and our drink orders were taken right away. For drinks we ordered a downtown blonde ale and a downtown nut brown ale. Both drinks were refreshing and cold. We ended up ordering pretzels for an appetizer and they came with a beer cheese. Very tasty! Then for our main course we ordered a Rueben Sandwich and a Burger. Both tasted amazing ! All in all we stayed for a total of 45 mins and the atmosphere was cozy and relaxing. If you’re in Knoxville looking for a cold beer and some tasty food stop in here. You will be happy you did!

Wait was not to crazy, pretty big place, with an upstairs and downstairs. Our service was nice and friendly. I wasn't the biggest fan of the dips, it off the 3 the queso dip was good. The mozzarella sticks were good, and already was too, the bread was very soft. The surf and Turf plate was also good, the onions rings had a nice crunch. The beef was tender, and the shrimp was good.

Restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Knoxville, Not Watson's Kitchen + Bar is a charming retro spot that perfectly blends vintage decor with a modern dining experience. This stylish eatery offers an array of classic bar fare reimagined for today's palate, featuring mouthwatering options like crispy fried chicken, house-made cheesesteaks, and savory sandwiches.
Great first experience, sat a bar high top and ordered a beer at the bar....good selection of local drafts for every taste. Ordered the wings app with 2 flavors, lemon pepper & garlic along with chipotle. Both had excellent flavor and we ordered extra crispy.....they were spot on. Side order of fries and a Caesar salad topped it off and was certainly enough for us both. Service was great with friendly people all around. We will be back.

Good vibes and good food. I wasn’t crazy about the burger but it wasn’t bad or anything. Honestly I don’t think I really wanted a burger and ordered one anyway like a dummy. But the Philly egg rolls and scallop appetizer was amazing. The flank steak salad was also pretty good. Worth checking some more items out for sure. Waitress was super nice .

Our first time dining here. Our server was great and she gave us several recommendations of some entrees to try. We started with the fried okra and the fried green tomatoes and I could have easily made a meal of them. Our main course was pasta, fish and a hamburger. All of our items were served hot and tasted delecious. We can't wait to visit there soon

We had a group of 11 for dinner at Not Watson’s Kitchen + Bar in downtown Knoxville, and the night went off without a hitch. We were greeted right away and seated quickly, which isn’t always a given with a group that size. Our server was on point—friendly, fast, and really focused on getting things right, which I appreciated. I went for the Braised Beef Short Ribs with mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. The meat was tender, the sauce had good depth, and the mashed potatoes had bits of skin still in them, which I always take as a good sign. As you can see in the photo, it was a no-frills, hearty plate done well. Around the table, folks ordered a wide range—salmon with honey mustard, chicken and waffles, burgers (including a Chili Mac ‘N’ Cheese version), and meatloaf. Every plate came out hot, looked good, and got cleaned up without a complaint. By the end, everyone was full, happy, and walking out with a smile. I’d definitely come back. Good for groups, casual date nights, or a filling meal after exploring downtown.

We chose this place based on the appetizer menu and it did not disappoint. The fried green tomatoes and Philly cheese steak egg rolls were divine. Our table ordered steaks and Asian salad with fried chicken, all of which exceeded our expectations. The pumpkin cheesecake and creme brulee were a lovely way to finish our meal. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely come back.

Really good menu. Try the corn ribs and fried pickles. They have something got just about everyone from steak to seafood. Careful not to overdo it on appetizers!

We recently visited this restaurant on Market Square and enjoyed the lively sports bar atmosphere—it’s a fun place to catch a game or hang out with friends. My spouse ordered the fish and chips and was pleased with the meal—crispy and flavorful. Unfortunately, my experience with the hamburger was disappointing. It was dry and lacked flavor, and I honestly had to check if there was cheese on it—it was that underwhelming. On the bright side, the crispy Brussels sprouts were a highlight and very well done. Service was a mixed bag. Our waitress was friendly, but the overall service was quite slow. We had to ask for water multiple times, and from our view into the kitchen, it appeared that staff were distracted—possibly on their phones—which might explain the delays. Overall, the atmosphere and some dishes hit the mark, but there's definite room for improvement in food consistency and service.

This place is awesome. Our reservation at tupelo honey was not honored and this looked good. Even on one of the busiest nights, we were seated in 15 mins. Service was prompt and we got our food and drinks within 10 mins of ordering. I got a burger which was cooked to perfection. My wife got the shrimp poboy. Food and drinks were excellent.

Fine dining restaurant
American restaurant
Lonesome Dove Knoxville, located in the Old City, offers a blend of creative American cuisine and innovative cocktails within an upscale rustic-chic setting. The restaurant is housed in a historic building with a colorful past, once serving as a saloon, brothel, upholstery business, and ice cream shop. Restaurateur Tim Love drew inspiration from the building's history to create this Western bistro concept.
Lonesome Dove in Knoxville serves an amazing dinner experience from start to finish. Our group was there for a birthday celebration, and we could not have had a better meal anywhere. The server had read my notes sent with the reservation and was aware of an allergy in one group member. He had thought through the menu and had spoke with the kitchen. Amazing attention to detail! Need a drink? The house red wine is splendid and the cocktails are original and well made. The elk sliders are an amazing way kick off a meal. We then had lobster hush puppies, spicy chili, crab cakes, and rabbit-rattlesnake sausage appetizers. All are cooked to perfection. If you want to expand your palate they have offerings, but if you want a standard steakhouse experience this is still your place. My son wanted a 19-ounce filet mignon so they went to the kitchen and custom cut the steak and prepared it to perfection. The chef even came out to make sure it was to his satisfaction. The service is upbeat, informative, and there to please. Thank you guys for an amazing celebration dinner!
Sam K — Google review
The elk sliders and wood fires oysters were the standout of this meal. Could of ate a dozen of them. But they are a little pricey. Cocktails were great. The 1888 cocktail was my favorite. The chili was great and portion was very generous. For the mains, the standout dish was the elk loin. Their signature dish was so so. The elk loin was better. Scallops were just ok. For sides we had burnt carrots and mushrooms. They were both great. It was around $330 for two of us in my party. The reason for the 3 stars is because at that price point the main dishes should have been perfect.

I had always heard mixed reviews for Lonesome Dove, some saying it’s not that good. But, I was very impressed and will return! We got the crab cakes for an appetizer, they were absolutely delicious and the presentation was nice. The beef tenderloin was soooo tasty, and the hash (cabbage) was so good too. We got carrots and mac & cheese which was also sooo delicious. However, the Mac and cheese is macaroni-less. 😆 Cocktails were good! Ambience- A+, had a wonderful time. The server was very good, and friendly and conversational. Can’t remember his name, (British accent.) I had a wonderful birthday dinner here.

This was the best place for a romantic dinner for our anniversary! The waiter was amazing and so friendly. The candlight dinner was amazing and being on the second floor really heightened the atmosphere. It was quite expensive, but we went in completely aware.
Lindsay F — Google review
Flawless service. Impeccable food. Cozy, rustic atmosphere. Very pricey, but worth it. Elk sliders and wild boar ribs for appetizers were wonderful. Our mains, scallops with caviar and risotto and ny strip wagyu with yukon mash, were perfect. Our cocktails were delicious, wife got a Lovely Limeaid and I got a rum old fashioned, which paired great with our food. For dessert we shared the Tuaca Flan with a glass of Disaronno. Before we visited for dinner, we had their prime rib lunch that's served on Fridays around lunch time, and it's always delicious.

I cannot say enough great things about the Lonesome Dove. We hosted a rehearsal dinner for 41 and followed that with a welcome party for 140 people. The crew at the Lonesome Dove made sure everything was top notch. The food was spectacular and the service was unmatched. I highly recommend you look into hosting your event here. They exceeded our expectations on every level.
William C — Google review
Today was my wife’s and my 15th anniversary, and we chose Lonesome Dove to celebrate. Unfortunately, we ended up regretting that decision. We had a 6:15 reservation, and when we arrived the restaurant was only about a quarter full. The host was friendly and seated us promptly, but our server seemed disinterested — just going through the motions. It took nearly 30 minutes for our drinks to arrive. My beer sat on the bar for about 10 minutes before it was brought to the table, and my wife’s cocktail wasn’t started until well after that. The bartender didn’t seem particularly busy as we could see him from our table. For appetizers, we ordered the elk sliders and lobster hush puppies. They were okay, but nothing memorable. I ordered a second beer after the appetizers, and once again it sat on the bar for a while before being delivered. We both ordered the bison ribeye for our main course — at $100 each, we expected something special. Instead, the steaks were tough, more like a basic sirloin. They were seasoned well, and the sides were fine, but certainly not what you’d expect at that price point. Our total bill came to $344 for two people. I don’t mind paying premium prices for a premium experience, but Lonesome Dove simply didn’t deliver. From the slow, inattentive service to the underwhelming food, it fell far short of the fine-dining experience we had hoped for on our anniversary.

Breakfast restaurant
Colonel's Delicatessen is a charming eatery nestled in Knoxville, TN, that offers a delightful blend of American and Greek cuisine. This no-frills spot is perfect for those seeking a relaxed dining experience without the fuss. Known for its hearty breakfast options, Colonel's serves up home-style meals that are both fast and delicious. The friendly service adds to the welcoming atmosphere, making it an ideal choice for anyone looking to enjoy comforting food in a casual setting.
Our go to breakfast spot! Everything at Colonel's is delicious, including their coffee. We typically order two eggs any style with bacon (perfectly crispy), potatoes (these come soft on the inside, slightly crispy on the outside, mixed with capers) and toast. Every now and then, we'll throw in a side of biscuits and gravy or a single pancake. You can't go wrong! (Ooh, and try their Mediterranean breakfast- so fresh and tasty.) All of this is served in a little hole in the wall, classic diner/deli. We love it.

I read all the good reviews, so I wanted to try this place out today. I ordered a turkey wrap, minus tomatoes, that was supposed to come with fries and a pickle. I ended up getting a turkey melt with fries and no pickle. I was a little confused, so I asked my waitress if I got the right order, and she admitted she made a mistake. I told her I would eat it anyway, and she took the price of my Coke off my bill. The sandwich was really good, although I do like my bacon crispy, not limp. The fries and coke were good also. They have tables as well as booths, but it's not real big inside. Also, you might want to use the restroom before you come here, because they only have one restroom, back in the kitchen. I'm guessing it's an employee bathroom that they let customers use. They're also adding a $1 to each order "temporarily", because of food costs. Since the turkey was really good, I plan on going back and trying the wrap next time... hopefully. I'll also try to get updated pictures of the menu, since I believe their prices have changed. Hopefully I'll be able to give them more stars on my next trip. They close at 2pm, so come early.

Want a real hidden Bearden gem? This is your spot. Yeah it's a cafe/diner but it's got that much more than something like a Waffle House or even Gourmet Market. Is it fancy? Hell no. Is it delicious? Hell yes. The menu is diverse and there's something to please pretty much everyone. It's the real deal.

Despite the modest look of this place, it is one of the few places where you can get consistently good, regular old breakfast. I have frequented this place for nearly a decade and I can say that I have only had one time when they didn't cook my breakfast order to specifications. Always friendly staff, the coffee flows freely, and they have awesome hash browns. They used to only accept cash, but now have updated their system to take cards. Always consistent basic breakfast. Bravo.

My brother and I decided to have breakfast; his choice, and it was great! This restaurant has apparently been around since the 1950'S, and is diner type home style cooking! We had an amazing breakfast! Sandwiches and lunch meals and specials are available! The nostalgia, food and service was just great! Highly recommend and we enjoyed our breakfast....I was told the red eye gravy and ham was great, my grandmother loved this county breakfast meal!

Pretty good diner. Cornbread just OK. Dumplings fluffy, not strips. Just how I like them. A bit too salty for this salt lover. Really liked the seasoning in the green beans. This was my first visit. No one told me a drink came with the meat+2 when I ordered water. In their defense, it was printed on the menu. I did not expect it, so I didn't notice it. The reviews reflect its popularity. It was packed with folks waiting for seating. I would try it again.

So far this little gem is wonderful, the set your self didn't like much, but I guess if they know you, you all good. The flavor on the gravy i know it could be better ( from scratch maybe), now the French toast 🤔 not bad.so if I'm close to the place yes I will come back. Enjoy 😉

Wild Love Bakehouse is a modern bakery-cafe located on North Central Street in Old North Knoxville, offering a cozy atmosphere and delicious in-house pastries. Their popular items include the Almond Croissant, Morning Bun, and Blueberry Raspberry Hand Tart. The cafe has garnered dedicated fans for its superior espresso drinks and meticulously crafted pastries.
A delightful little bakery and coffee shop in north Knoxville. The interior is well an open space with friendly staff and the aroma of fresh baked pastries. The space lit with large windows, with plenty of indoor seating for quiet working or catching up with friends. The almond pastries are out of this world amazing ! Thank me later. Plenty of accessible parking.

Wild Love Bakery is absolutely delightful! I got a green tea oat milk matcha latte, which might have been the best I’ve ever had—so creamy and flavorful. I also tried one of their chocolate chip cookies, which was layered and delicious: crispy on the edges, soft in the middle, and so yummy. The granola looks incredible, the croissants are gorgeous, and I love all the merchandise they have, especially the cute farmers market bags. Everything feels fresh and thoughtfully made. The customer service is excellent as well—so friendly and sweet, with young people who clearly love working there and are happy to answer any questions. Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience

My first time experiencing wild love, I will definitely be back:) the baristas were really sweet. I ordered an almond croissant it’s the best I’ve had in Knoxville. It’s comparable to one I had in Chattanooga a few months ago, so I’m glad I can find a delicious croissant close to home!! I also got an Ube latte. It was not too potent and subtle in flavor. Their espresso is smooth and not too acidic. As for the ambiance, I studied for several hours on the outdoor patio. It was shady where I sat and there were outlets nearby. It was soooo cute I can’t wait to go back and try more of the sweet treats and flavors! I wanted the blueberry sage seasonal syrup but they were out. I hope they make more by next visit 😏hehehhe

I never would have imagined I'd have spent over $40 in a bakery for just myself, but here we are! I needed a morning drink to finish out the last leg of my trip to Michigan and back to GA. I'm usually not a traditional bakery kind of person, but I could see the gals in the back actually making the treats and everything in the case looked so go I figured I'd try a few things. I started with three ( I wasn't trying to be greedy), but then the gentleman in front of me said one of the pastries was seasonal and really good and he hadn't seen it in the last 5 times he'd come in so I had to add that one (the one in the bottom of the pic I bit out of). LISTEN WHEN I TELL YOU BUY IT ALL! OMG I sat in my car thinking I would take a quick bite of something and be on my way. Um, no! I'm sitting here compelled to try the next item in the bag because the previous was so dang good!!!! I've got a pile of pastries in my lap like I'm hoarding my dragon's stash of gold 🤣 I'm tearing up a little over how good it is. This place is absolutely amazing and will definitely be back. ❤️❤️❤️

Pastries are delightfully tasty!! An absolute treat for our road trip and the day after back home. The long lines of people in the queue and the full dining room is definitely evidence of its greatness. Note that you do pay a good penny for these wonderful treats. And I do wish that they would make prices visible for pastries just like they do for coffee!

Southern Grit is a go-to spot for classic southern comfort food. The menu offers a wide variety of options, from fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese to fried chicken and shrimp and grits. The restaurant also serves seafood dishes like cast iron mahi and the classic shrimp and grits, as well as burgers and sandwiches such as the double stack. Customers rave about the Just Peachy cocktail and sweet tea to complement their meals.
Everything tasted amazing! We got Brussel sprouts for appetizer. They hit the spot. Slightly to charred for me, but the experience made it worth it. Got the shrimp and grits for the finale, and let me telllll you!!! Ssoooooo so oh so delicous!!! Sizable portions! Got a watermelon crawl for a drink and that went down like water. Thank you!

To get started I ordered some fried green tomatoes which came topped with a house-made pimento cheese and spicy honey. The green tomatoes were fried in a proper cornmeal batter. For the main course I ordered shrimp and grits. Cheese grits with a delicious "creole gravy" on top. The creole gravy was very much like an awesome gumbo but with no rice or okra. It had lots of shrimp and andouille sausage to where I was able to have one of the other in every bite. Can't decide if the food was divine or sinful but either way I consider it a top 3 meal I've purchased in my life!

I stopped by Southern Grit in Knoxville for a weekday lunch and was blown away. The food was everything you’d hope for in classic Southern comfort cooking. I had the fried chicken with medium heat—perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside—and the sides were just as impressive. The fried Brussels sprouts were flavorful and crispy, and the mac and cheese was creamy and satisfying. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, with just the right noise level to enjoy a conversation without shouting. Whether you’re local or just passing through, Southern Grit is absolutely worth a visit!

Wow wow wow. Food was super flavorful. Every bite was just as good the last. Only reason no 5 stars is the server was not attentive. We're without straws, silverware and had no refills. My daughter had to go to the bar to get the items. I believe her name was McKayla. A must try if you visit Knoxville.

Went in for a quick drink after a nearby dinner with friends. The bartender Mack(Mac?) was awesome. She was very knowledgeable and a great conversationalist. I love that they have local beers on tap. We had the peach and blueberry cobbler for dessert and it was great! I can't wait to go back for brunch to try their biscuits.

Stopped in time for happy hour today, $5 draft and special price on some appetizers. Had spice dry rub grilled wings and pimento cheese fries. The wings tasted delicious and were cooked perfect with just the correct crunch. The blue cheese for the wings was great. The pimento fries were good, will probably try something else next time. Also tried the crab cakes, very good with nice flavor as well. Been here many times and have tried several items and all have been good, not a bad meal yet. Server Nick G was on top of it, always checking on us and a great personality 3-23-25: another great experience....Nick G is the ultimate server, checks on you at the appropriate times and is just a friendly person. Southern mess is a great chicken sandwich with so many flavors in one sandwich. My wife's buffalo chicken slider with side of brussel sprouts was so tasty. Good selection of drafts.

This was maybe more of a 3.5 star experience. I stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and picked out 4 donuts. The place had 2 customers silently sitting and maybe working on their computers but the whole place felt sterile and lifeless. I wasn't greeted and stood at the counter for a few minutes while the lone employee arranged items until I finally asked if I could order. I wanted to sample a variety- so I got an apple fritter, a snickerdoodle donut, a buttermilk old fashioned, and a blueberry Pączki. The apple fritter was the best of those 4. The snickerdoodle was just a traditional cinnamon sugar donut. The base was a bit dry yet also tasted oily. The buttermilk old fashioned had a similar greasy flavor and not the tang I'd expect from this type of donut. The Pączki was just a minimally filled jelly donut...and the dough was very greasy. Normally, the dough is more bready and has a more rich flavor. The ones I've always eaten in the past are heavily filled. This place seems like it has potential but it just lacks the quality or personality I'm looking for in a local gem. Nothing was awful but nothing was great either.

Great donuts! great location! Great staff! Great vibes! Such a fun little donut shop downtown. Try the old fashioned donut! I also tried the blueberry filled and it was delicious! Very nice guy working there this morning. Unfortunately he did not wear gloves or wash his hands. I watched him touch everyone’s donuts with his bare hands and then proceed to touch the POS system to take everyone’s payment. I asked for a bottle of water and he offered me a half full bottle that he used to make another customers’ drink. Exceptional customer service but someone please train him in sanitation.

An unforgettable French dining experience in Knoxville Lilou Brasserie is a true gem elegant, soulful, and masterfully executed from start to finish. The Foie Gras au Torchon was easily one of the best I’ve had outside of France silky and rich, beautifully balanced with fig jam, Armagnac, and just the right touch of truffle. The sourdough crostini added a lovely rustic crunch that made every bite memorable. The wine list is a treasure trove, especially if you’re a fan of rosé. Their selections are thoughtful and harmonious with the menu. We also explored the cheese offerings, curated by their maître fromager, and each bite transported us straight to a Parisian fromagerie. You can truly taste the craftsmanship and care in the rotation of French imports. The Confit de Canard was cooked to perfection—crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful inside, and complemented by a smooth potato purée and fresh asparagus. Another highlight was the Ribeye Frites a bold, satisfying dish that manages to be indulgent without overwhelming. The duck-fat fries and Béarnaise were spot-on, and the frisée salad added a refreshing contrast. The Boeuf Bourguignon was good, though it might benefit from a little more depth or refinement—still enjoyable but slightly off compared to the rest of the menu’s brilliance. We didn’t make it to dessert, but the plates looked divine as they passed by. The ambience is spectacular—charming without being overdone, with impeccable décor and a warm, refined energy. Service was phenomenal: attentive, gracious, and genuinely welcoming. We’re already looking forward to our next visit.

It was one of the best places to have breakfast in the center on Knoxville. French music, pictures on the walls, fabric napkins, nice vintage plates and cups are in use here. I had breakfast there and had an avocado tartine with dried tomato and micro herbs, chocolate croissant and black coffee. Tartine was just wonderful and crispy! Croissant was very nice, but probably it would be better to serve it warm when chocolate is soft or melted. Coffee was strong but not bitter, I loved it. I want to come here again and try smth else. And I like they have vegetarian options as well. Thank you for a morning atmosphere of Paris in the heart of Knoxville

The food and service was amazing! The restaurant Is very nostalgic with lots of downtown history. The food was amazing. We had 3 different cheeses, baguette, Oysters with amazing flavors, my filet mignon was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. The drinks were all great and loved my pickle martini. We will definitely be back.

The wait staff did a great job recommending dishes and keeping our glasses full and checking on us. We waited a while for our food and it didn’t come out together. We had a party of three and one received her quiche, then I got my fries and later got my sandwich and then later the other lady got her meal. The food did taste very good but small portions for the price.

Cute little restaurant in Cleo, a hotel owned by the Marriott group. Service was prompt and friendly. I went for breakfast. They do not offer milk alternatives but that is okay as the Espresso was good! The croissant, although the best I’ve had in Knoxville, was on the heavy side, slightly over cooked and left a little too much oily residue. If they made the croissant lighter and airier, it would be perfect. They also gave me a post card at the end which I could keep or fill out and they would post. I thought this was lovely, thoughtful and a unique experience.

This was such a special dining experience! Went for a friends birthday prior to seeing a show at the theatre and, start to finish, had one of the most enjoyable meals I have had in a long time. Superior service, excellent food, and I loved the environment. I have eaten at many resturaunts in Knoxville, but Lilou is the first that I have considered going back to again, and again. On food: Cooked perfectly. I ordered a burger (right, I get it, but I am on a mission to find the best burger in Knoxville) and it was a delight. Cooked exactly how I wanted, and the fries are so delicious! With apps, drinks, meals, and tip - of course it was pricey - but the experience I had was worth it! 10/10 would recommend.
Mason H — Google review
Excellent service and atmosphere. Sadly the food was subpar, especially for the price. The pasta and peas were way undercooked, but at least the duck was flavorful. The fries were also undercooked and lacked any seasoning or flavor. I’d go back for drinks but I’ll skip the food next time

Coffee shop
Matt Robb's Biscuits is a cozy spot in Knoxville known for its homemade sweet and savory biscuits, as well as hot and iced coffee. The shop offers indoor and outdoor dining, as well as curbside pick-up. Customers can enjoy unique biscuit toppings like peanut butter, bacon, cinnamon, and honey while sipping on beverages like the Iced Brown Sugar Latte. The friendly staff ensures that the food is cooked to order, providing a personalized experience for visitors.
Matt loves his job! It shows in his friendly attitude, music and amazing food. We opted for a cheddar garlic biscuit with butter. We arrived too late for the blueberry biscuits. No matter, these biscuits are next level! I’ve had Matt Robb’s Biscuits on my list of places to try for more than a year. We finally made it to Knoxville this weekend. These were worth the trip alone! Next time, we get up earlier to get the blueberry biscuits. If we miss out again, I won’t be too sad, as long as I get a biscuit.
Kirsten M — Google review
I hate biscuits! That should tell you how good this place is! They run out of ingredients quickly, so we only had the egg and cheese biscuits. They were incredible! Imagine having their sausage or bacon or whatever else they have. The biscuits are made from scratch and you can immediately taste the difference! Go early! Taste excellence! (Sorry the pictures are of half-eaten egg biscuits, they’re too good)

Had a chance to get breakfast here on a trip to Knoxville. The time and attention that goes into the food here is evident from the moment you walk in the door. Matt has it down to a science, and the results are amazing. Got a blueberry biscuit with sausage egg and cheese and a garlic and cheddar biscuit with bacon egg and pepper jack. The preparation includes a few minutes back in the oven to give some crispiness on the bottom of the biscuit and nicely melted cheese. Really exceptional! On top of that, Matt is a super friendly guy and provides excellent service. Came back on our second day in town to run it back. The line is worth the wait to get something really fantastic. Will be going here every time I'm in Knoxville!

Only go if you have all day. First off- the biscuits are fine. It's a biscuit, it won't change your life. My real issue is the process. Walked up to grab a biscuit sandwich before I took off for the airport. I was taking it to go so the 30 minutes I had to get it was plenty of time- or so I thought. I walk up and the line is out the door. Not an issue, like I said I have plenty of time, and it's a small space so the line's not as bad as it looks. But it takes FOREVER. I finally get to place my order and you can tell Matt cares about his biscuits. He takes great care assembling and making them perfectly. He then places my biscuit on the baking sheet. Great! I'll get my biscuit in a couple minutes and be on my way. Nope, Matt proceeds to help the next four people in line the same way. Perfectly assembling his biscuits, no urgency, no rush, then placing them on the same baking sheet. I had to stand there for another 10-15 minutes until the baking sheet is full! I may as well have been waiting in the line with the people 5 spots behind me because all our food was cooked together. Then I had to wait another 5 or so minutes for it to cook before he took them out of the oven, wapped mine and gave it to me. All totalled it took around 50 minutes to get a perfectly acceptable biscuit sandwich- and now I was late for my flight. So what started as a relaxed last morning in town turned into a stressful pain thanks to Matt and his biscuits. Long story short, biscuits are good but not worth the time. 50 minutes for food at a counter service restaurant is simply unacceptable.

Never seen a one-man team worked so hard and still be able to engage with his customers and obviously know them on a personal level while providing a great product. Truly enjoyed the experience thank you. Exceptional food. Trust his specials!!!! Would highly recommend Sincerely, Owensboro KY.

Finally got to experience this biscuits. They blew me away and I thought Matt was super friendly and chatted with us. There’s a reason why they run out fast, because they are so good. If you want them that bad then just make sure you go before 10. They are worth waiting on the line for.
Brian K — Google review
This is the breakfast biscuit I’m still thinking about, days later. Matt’s hit the spot. Excellent service, glad I got there before it sold out. I’ll be back.

Connors Steak & Seafood is a neighborhood restaurant and bar that offers a warm atmosphere along with aged steaks and fresh seafood. It's known for its value compared to national chains, offering quality beef without the same level of sticker shock. The blue cheese filet is particularly recommended, featuring a tender cut enhanced by blue cheese butter and red wine reduction.
Outstanding experience at Connor’s. Quite possibly hands down one of the best meals my wife and I have had! We went Friday April 11th to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. We both had a 8z prime filet mignon absolutely amazing! No sauces needed the succulent natural juices from the steaks did the job. Our steaks paired well with a very smooth red Cabaret Sauvignon: Michael David Earthquake Lodi. My wife had side orders of a wedge salad and baked potato. I had a cup of the lobster bisque outstanding and a roll with pesto butter. Also had garlic herb mashed potatoes and brown rice pilaf. Last but not least I had crème brûlée with fresh raspberries for the first time. Very very good. Our waitress was excellent. We will definitely be coming back.

Today my husband and I had a late lunch at Connors. The atmosphere and service were wonderful. My husband ordered the voodoo shrimp as an appetizer. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and the spice was spot on. Delicious!!! My husband ordered the Chilean Bass with baked potato and house salad. It was all very delicious. It was his first time eating at Connors and he wasn't disappointed at all. I had the baked cod over rice pilaf. The cod was perfectly cooked as well, however the rice was very different and in my opinion did not pair well with the cod. I was a chef for many years and never have I seen rice prepared this way. It had corn, onions and blueberries in it. Blueberries?? The cod lay over the rice and I felt the sweetness of the blueberries in the rice ruined the fish. The sweetness just didn't flavor well with the lemon on the fish. I've eaten at Connors many times throughout the years and this was the only time I was truly disappointed. But my husband was very happy with his choice. Connors is definitely a little pricey but worth it I feel, however today I left feeling unsatisfied and disappointed.

We came for our anniversary made a reservation on a very busy Friday night. There was a bit of a wait but the staff made it up with a delicious appetizer of lobster dip. Both my husband and I got filets, mine was the blue cheese version and his the boursin. I'll speak for myself but that is the best steak I've had in years it was perfectly cooked and so tender I ate every bite of my 9oz. Atmosphere was wonderful and our waitress Kaitlyn was incredible. Highly recommend this place for your special occasions or date night just make a reservation!!

We had lunch here while traveling back to Cincinnati from Atlanta. My wife eat at the Huntsville location and was bragging on it. We had mushrooms as an appetizer and the fish and chips for our meal. We substituted the fries for mash potatoes and a baked potato in addition to a ceasers salad which we split. Everything was excellent. The waiter was the best and the manager was too. I only wish there was a store here in Cincinnati. Can’t wait to eat here when traveling that way again.

This was our first visit to Conners. It was our 9th anniversary and we wanted to have a nice dinner. We were seated quickly and Max was out server, a young engineering student from UT working a few days per week at Conners. We ordered drinks and an appetizer - the fried mushrooms. My wife ordered the Halibut and a salad and I ordered a filet mignon with lobster bisque. The mushrooms were absolutely delicious. I've had fried mushrooms many times before but these were so delicate and flavorful, not dripping with water as is frequently the case. My wife enjoyed her halibut. My filet was one of the best I've ever had. I ordered it medium rare and it came out perfectly cooked. It was so tender and only needed one stroke of the knife to cut a slice. The flavor was perfect, just the right amount of seasoning. The staff brought us a Happy Anniversary card, signed by the manager and a half dozen staff, a nice touch. Finally, we were offered a complimentary desert. We selected a slice of carrot cake which turned out very nice. It had cream cheese frosting and a drizzle of caramel. The staff there was very attentive throughout the meal, at least 4 or 5 different staff checked on us to make sure everything was going well. To summarize, this is my new favorite restaurant in Knoxville. Excellent food and service.

The service was outstanding. I loved the seating. You didn't feel like you were crammed in beside other people. We went all out for my sons birthday and got the cold seafood platter appetizer. It was very good. Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks. My only critique was the demi glace for my ribeye was too salty. Everything else was excellent and worth the money.

This was our first visit and it was great! The food was great, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was pleasant. I had the French Dip Burger and it was so good. I would for sure get it again! The only recommendation I have to the people in charge is to add some crayons for kids for the kids menu. We will be back!

Went to Corner16 for Valentines Day 💝 They had a special menu for the night which was a nice fun touch to the evening. We had such a good experience here - the handmade soda 😍 to die for, sooooo delicious. I will say the mac could have used a little flavor but overall still decent. My burger was great & very filling. Definitely a cool place for an easy dinner !

Brought the grands to play at their outdoor seating area. Balls and toys provided for kids. The appetizer (bacon-wrapped burnt ends) were excellent! Waiting on turkey & dressing (and thankfully they offer cranberry sauce) and burgers.

Not a great experience tonight - the special appetizer was supposed to be served with tortilla chips (they were out), served with homemade chips instead that were not cooked all the way. The chicken on my sandwich was small compared to the bun size, felt lacking. Had to ask for the sauce that usually comes with it. Our salad had HUGE veggies, had to finish chopping them up ourselves. They stopped selling tater tots and onion rings also. I kinda enjoyed both of those instead of fries.

The atmosphere was nice like a sports bar.the waitress was nice and the food was ok. There weren’t many people and the wait was very long . Lots of younger people working, the kitchen area wasn’t very professional but it was ok.

Love, love, love this place. The best veggie burger and fries. The salads are wonderful.

Stopped in Friday just before 5pm. Staff was great, accommodating and friendly. I had a burger that was very good. Their beer selection is limited, to a few craft beers but enough choice to satisfy most people. We sat in the covered outside area with our dog. A staff member needs to open an outdoor gate to allow a dog in or out. Overall a great experience.

Calhoun's is a Tennessee BBQ chain that offers fresh-ground burgers, sandwiches, homestyle sides, and craft beers. The restaurant has received high ratings for its food, service, value, and atmosphere. Customers rave about the amazing ribs and hickory burger as well as the friendly and efficient service. Visitors are recommended to try the homemade jalapeno pimento cheese spread and the freshly caught NC catfish.
The food was good. I had the pork plate. My friend had steak and fries. My only gripe is that the mashed potatoes were full of peel. I wish cooks would realize that no one really likes peeling in their mashed potatoes. It’s not fancy, it’s lazy. No one in the history of mashed potatoes has ever asked for the potato peel be left in. Otherwise, I was satisfied with the meal. Prices are still reasonable here. I got a pork plate with two sides for $15, which is a bargain considering many places are charging $17 or more for a burger.

Brisket chili and beer rolls were great. The rest .. meh. Disappointed. Burnt ends very dry. Ribs .. meh. KC liked them. Mac n cheese … meh. I’ve had better. Good news I didn’t overeat. The banana pudding was great. We remembered it from the last time we traveled thru and ate at Calhoun’s on the River. It’s huge. Big enough to share.

I am biased towards this location. I have had overall better experiences here with food and service. Today was no exception. Food was hot with great taste. Waitress was polite & efficient. The last several months have been the best experience here I have had in 20 yrs or so with Calhoun. Calhouns is my "go to" place to eat. The potato skins are superb. Great job!

We flew into Knoxville and were ready for some Southern cooking. Asked the rental car rep and she quickly recommended Calhouns! And wow, were we happy we went there. Ruth's Chris Steak House is an upscale chain known for its sizzling, butter-topped beef served in an elegant setting. Located in downtown Knoxville, this New Orleans-born establishment offers a variety of steak options, including filet, cowboy rib eye, and T-bone cuts. It's important to note that steak dinners do not include sides; however, shareable portions of accompaniments like roasted Brussels sprouts and lobster mac and cheese are available.
They ask if there was a special occasion. That was so cool. We used the free Valet parking, the guy was great and we tipped him well for a job well done. The food we tried… not a single bite had disappointed. Every morsel was outstanding. Pricey but exploding with flavor. They know what they are doing

Upscale restaurant that I've passed often but never ventured in. Attended a seminar this evening that included dinner. The conference room was downstairs, lot of noise from upstairs interrupted being able to concentrate on the subject matter. The meal was very good, including steak house salad... I had an 11oz. Filet that was cooked rare as requested....great flavor and very tender. Included garlic mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. Because of cost this would be a special occasion restaurant for me....but very satisfied with the service, cleanliness (including bathroom) and quality of the food.

The service and food was exceptional. Justin was always right there when we needed anything. I didn't get the gentleman servers name, but he was on point! Very respectful and well mannered staff. The only problem was how loud it was. Which was not anyone's fault but customers at the bar. We would definitely return for the food and exceptional waitstaff. Just not a fan of overly loudness because of migraines.

Ruth’s Chris Steak House in Knoxville delivers a truly upscale dining experience that’s both refined and inviting. From the moment you walk in, the ambiance feels luxurious, dim lighting, polished interiors, and a professional staff that treats every guest like a regular. The service is top-tier, with attentive and knowledgeable servers who elevate the meal without being overbearing. The signature steaks are exceptional, USDA Prime cuts broiled to perfection and served sizzling hot on 500-degree plates, locking in flavor and tenderness. The bone-in ribeye and filet are standouts, incredibly juicy and seasoned just right. The portion sizes are generous and easily shareable, which makes the high-end pricing feel justified, especially when paired with flavorful sides like garlic mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, and spicy shrimp. Every dish is rich, bold, and clearly crafted with attention to detail. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just craving an unforgettable steak, Ruth’s Chris easily ranks among the best steakhouses in Knoxville. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a polished night out with world-class food and exceptional service.

Bravo! Italian Kitchen is a high-end Italian restaurant that manages to evoke someones idea of authentic Italy without being too touristy. The food is excellent, and the atmosphere is romantic and atmospheric.
Even though it was very busy, Heaven took excellent care of our table. She kept our waters and sodas filled. The food was spectacular, as usual. I had my favorite sish there...Salmon salad...so good!! Host was extremely friendly and everyone held doors for us. The bread was delicious.

It was an interesting experience. The bartender did his best with what little training it seemed like he received. Our drinks were great. That’s about it. The happy hour calamari came out in a small bowl with both dipping sauces practically touching each other and enough calamari for a toddler. The most interesting part? They served me imitation crab meat as lobster in my lobster and shrimp fettuccine. In these photos you cannot deny that it’s imitation crab meat. From the sliced strips. To the perfectly lined red in the outside. I’m quite shocked and appalled really.

Happy to say I was shocked that I enjoyed dining here. People have said it’s gone downhill… I went here for Mother’s Day with my mom and we sat at the bar due to a long wait that day. I was reluctant but the bartender was a great server and gracious host. He pointed us in the right directions for a great meal! He even made us a drink that’s not on the menu which was amazing by the way!

I went there once for an invited dinner and really liked the place. So, I chose it again for a date night, but unfortunately, the second time the service was quite poor. They took forever to bring our order, and the food quality wasn’t great either. I had high expectations, but it turned out to be disappointing.
Nupur — Google review
I had pretty high expectations for this place, the exorbitant pricing and venue should fetch such a response. Initially at least, it started off within reason. We came in, the host took us to our table, the waitress came out and got our drink orders. She brought them out in quick fashion and proceeded to take our order. One order was a simply Margherita pizza and the other a salad and soup combo. When we walked into the restaurant there was only maybe 3 tables with customers. As we sat waiting on our order about 5 more groups showed up, ordered there food and some received it before we did. We waited over 40 minutes for our food to come out. When It finally did come the pizza was doughy and very under done, even the waitress agreed that it was very undercooked. The bread was good and the soup was decent but overall it was just not a good experience. The waitress was nice and apologetic, she comped our check for the pizza and another item but it was an hour wasted both from expectation and relaxation. The restaurant is very nice although they use paper table covers which gave it a cheap feel. Would love to say I'd give them another chance but that's unlikely. One other thing, this restaurant gets alot of similar complaints and every response is generic and insincere as if AI is writing it, and it probably is. I imagine my response will be similar

Sometimes the tables can feel a little bit too crowded together, but the wait staff are always excellent and the food is consistently good. My husband and I look forward to going there for date night every couple months or so. When we went recently I got the chef's special beef ragout and it was amazing.

Southern restaurant (US)
Myrtle's Chicken and Beer is a laid-back restaurant that offers a unique twist on Southern fried chicken dishes, along with comfort food sides and craft brews. The establishment takes traditional Southern comfort food to a whole new level, attracting frequent patrons who appreciate their elevated take on classics like Myrtle's Tomato Pie, Southern-Fried Pickles, and Smoked Baby-Back Ribs. One of the highlights is the sandwich with hot honey aioli and pickled chili and lime slaw.
Had a plate of fried chicken - good. Liked the sauce choices. The palmetto cheese fritters were good, but very rich (don’t plan to eat many of them each). The wife enjoyed the tenders.

I always make sure to stop by Myrtle’s Chicken and Beer when I’m in Tennessee! This time I tried the Chicken Fried Flat Iron Steak. I look for maximum crunchiness, and this did not disappoint! I did have to switch my brother for his dish tho because I originally ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken which was not as crunchy. Now that I have my fill of Myrtle’s I can stop trying to influence the decision making process of going out to eat lol! 🥰
Jill B — Google review
On a road trip through town we decided to stop at Myrtle's and we are so glad. that we did. The Fried Chicken was absolutely fantastic in the waffles were crispy and not overly sweet. The hot sauce and syrup goes so well together and a staple of chicken and waffles. The macaroni and cheese was another standout and a must-have as a side dish.

What a gem in downtown Knoxville! The place is spotlessly clean and has such a cute, cozy environment that makes you want to stay a while. The staff is professional, attentive, and genuinely friendly, which makes the experience even better. The food is absolutely delicious—highly recommend the waffle, it’s perfection! Parking is super convenient too, with a garage just steps away. Definitely a spot worth returning to again and again!

The Nashville hot chicken was so delicious but HOT in the best ways haha! Try it on the salad and in the sandwich! I tried both ways and it was so good! I liked the idea of how this place was right in the market square area.. perfect for outdoor seating and people watching if you are ever looking for lunch after arriving in Knoxville, headed for Gatlinburg ;)

We sat outside on the patio. It's a neat area. The food was good. Not excellent. The waiter ill-advised my friend stating the boneless chicken breast had the same breading as the bone in...not even close. The tomato pie was good!
Brent W — Google review
I will preface this by saying we ate here very close to closing time and the servers were definitely ready to go home. However, me and my guest ordered the tomatoe Pie (not good) the chicken pot pie (good) the potato soup (very lack luster) and a drink from the bar as well. My guest was not happy with their drink and we left feeling unsatisfied with our dinner. The chicken pot pie came with a salad and I honestly enjoyed it the most out of my entire meal.

Came here because the place 2 doors down had a 45 minute wait. No wait here. Chicken and Waffles were good and the Hot Chicken Sandwich was tasty too. The Mac and cheese was surprisingly amazing.

It features a full-service bar, cozy lounge areas, and even a VIP room for an exclusive experience. Visitors can enjoy grabbing a lane to bowl while indulging in delicious food options like their famous mac and cheese and signature cocktails.
I visited some great spots in downtown Knoxville. Still, this one stole my heart - an underground bowling alley with old brick archways and original hardwood floors, showcasing the craftsmanship and culture of historic Knoxville. Great bowling alley with great local and national beer and food. Everything hit the spot. Swing by Maple Hall and enjoy!

We had our graduation party this weekend at Maple Hall and it was amazing. From the wait staff, to the food, the communications and ease of booking, it was all fabulous. They have many different space to rent. We rented out Heart of the Hall (area) - 5 lanes of bowling and a spacious area behind the lanes with 6 high top tables. It was Perfect for large group of 8 grads and all of their families. Forgot to take pics of the food, but it was really good. I wasnt sure if anyone would bowl, but it was a HUGE Hit. Would highly recommend this venue.

We(our family of 43 in Knoxville for a reunion) had the BEST time at Maple Hall! We rented out the Heart of the Hall(5 lanes) for our 2 hour event and everyone from 2 to 68 had a fantastic time. The staff did a great job accommodating us and all of our crew, from bowling ball ramps and bumpers to taking family pictures. Highly recommend!

This was a great experience. The staff was fun and friendly, they had no issues with some people just wanting water. Lots of other options available as well. It felt like the bowling alley was part of the old building. Everything just felt vintage. We had 2 lanes 12 pair of shoes for 2 hours for $200. Split between a bunch of guys it was a great night!

Old City Java, situated in the heart of the Old City on South Central Street, offers a relaxed atmosphere and serves specialty coffee, tea, and an assortment of freshly baked pastries. The unique outdoor seating area provides a perfect spot to enjoy your beverage or grab a quick pick-me-up while downtown. The café is known for its exceptional attention to detail in crafting some of the best espresso, teas, and pastries in town.
What a delightful morning at Old City Java! The cozy atmosphere, paired with the gentle rain outside, created the perfect ambiance for a productive morning. The coffee was expertly brewed, rich and flavorful, and the raspberry oat scone was a delectable treat. But what truly set this experience apart was the exceptional customer service. Sara, noticing I had a stevia packet in hand, went out of her way to ask if I wanted it added to my latte. This small gesture made a big difference and showed a level of attention to detail that is truly commendable. Thank you, Old City Java, for providing such a wonderful experience! I'll definitely be back.

I fell in love with this place. I was greeted very kindly and warmly, and was able to look at the menu. It wasn't too large or overwhelming and they had more simple options. They had around 5 different flavor options, the ones you normally expect. They had a wide variety of different types of coffee and some really good looking pastries. My coffee was made quick for only one person working and it was pretty good! It was also quite affordable based on other independent coffee shops. I believe my latte with almond milk was $6.20 for about a 20 oz. I'm in love with the cozy atmosphere, they have a mini library, beautiful windows and a rustic feel. tables are plenty, but spaced well in a smaller place. There are two rooms, so different options. It's a very quiet coffee shop, great for conversation or study. overall, I will be back very soon!

I visited this place during my vacation, and it was an excellent experience. The ambiance is fantastic, and the smell of freshly brewed coffee immediately welcomed me as I stepped inside. Stopped in on our way out of town. I got a croissant and it was very delicious. I’m also limited on my caffeine at the moment so I had an almond milk, hot chocolate and it was delicious. Not too sweet and made just right my partner got a latte And definitely gives it a thumbs up. I like that they have local coffee roasters.

Picked this place for its reviews. Walked in and they made me feel at home. Staff made eye contact, patrons were friendly, everything was clean, and there was a couple singing some kind of hillbilly bluegrass I’ve never heard that was just addictive. We came on fried chicken and champagne night. Never seen that before either. Nice place.

I passed by to have a quick lunch there. I have ordered sandwich with salmon. It was good but I didn’t like the taste of the oil they used to fry it. Probably it was not the fresh one. But atmosphere of that place is not bad. And yes, French fries was really good. I wanted to try onion soup but but it was prepared using beef broth. I don’t eat meat, so I had to skip it. And I would try it if it was fully vegetarian

Definitely a bit pricey, but it’s pretty good. My guest and I came here and each ordered one entree and then one cocktail, the total came up to $115 pre tip. The food was nice though, I enjoyed my tortellini, the cheese and the peppers were a nice texture. It was all white good. The martini was very very nice as well. Overall it’s a good place. I’ll definitely comeback here.

Food was tasty, nothing mind blowing but was pleasantly surprised at the flavor. The cocktail I had was also very good. Server had good recommendations, but was not very present. Patio was great. Not sure if worth the price point, however was a good spot and would probably return!

What a wonderful first visit to this fine dining establishment! I took the moms of my family out for mothers day for their Brunch menu and what a treat! French onion soup, breakfast burger and especially the crab cake Benedict (made with REAL crab) was so delicious! The seasonal salad needed more dressing to be fully enjoyed but the incredibly large variety drink menu sold me on the 5 star rating. All 3 of us tried something different and all were delicious (and not even close to being considered weak). While the tables were a little small, the classy intimate atmosphere was perfect for any occasion. We hope to be back for their dinner menu soon!

Good food, good service! The filet was cooked perfectly. Other dishes were the prime rib, salmon, and shrimp - everyone liked their food.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Must-Try Hidden Gem on Kingston Pike! We had an absolutely amazing experience at Harvest - Land, Sea, & Vine! Every single dish we ordered was a knockout, but I have to rave about a few standouts. The shrimp quesadilla was hands-down one of the best I’ve ever had—perfectly crispy, packed with flavor, and the shrimp were cooked to perfection. I could eat this every day! The truffle Parmesan fries were next-level—crispy, savory, and totally addictive. They come out hot and fragrant with just the right amount of truffle oil (not overwhelming), and the Parmesan adds a delicious salty kick. Now, I’m usually picky about Brussels sprouts, but theirs were absolutely incredible—caramelized just right with a delicious glaze that made them the surprise favorite of the night. And don’t sleep on the grilled cheese—I added turkey to mine and it was the ultimate comfort food, perfectly melty with a buttery crisp bread and the jam and basil sent it over the edge. Seriously satisfying. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff was super friendly and attentive. Harvest has officially earned a spot on my go-to list in Knoxville!

Harvest was a dart thrown on a map and it hit the bulls eye. We were just visiting Knoxville and needed a place to eat after attending Calvary Knoxville services. The food was excellent. We started with some fried green tomatoes battered with pimento cheese, after that, I got a Ceasars salad.I was amazed by this simple green salad, it tasted fresh from the garden same as the tomatoes. As if that was not enough, I ordered a 1/2 pound Harvest Burger, this was the best tasting burger I have tasted in a long time, I could taste the difference in the meat, it was high quality possibly even ground steak, it was Awesome! The dinner was so good I had to order the peanut butter chocolate mud pie WOW!! Amazing!!! The service was great with Vanessa, the atmosphere was dimly lit and not too loud, not a large place right on the corner. The crowd was about normal for late dinner hours, not bad. I highly recommend Harvest for it's very fresh, very high quality delicious food, a clear comitment to excellence. I will be back

Shoney's - Chapman Hwy is a family-friendly chain that offers a diverse menu of classic American diner dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The buffet options generally met expectations, although there were some unappetizing items like the gravy. However, the variety was appreciated, and surprisingly tasty dishes like the cold green bean salad stood out. The restaurant maintains cleanliness and employs friendly staff who strike a good balance between attentiveness and service.
Holy crap! I have totally left feedback to the wrong place! My original feedback was Way overpriced for what it is. Interior is dirty, surfaces that aren't frequently touched at dusty. Food is decent but my order was not prepared as requested Please, everyone, know this WAS NOT meant for Shoneys! I am glad they've replied as I wouldn't have known that I messed up. This place is great, fabulous manager and caring people! With good food and fantastic vibes!

I want to take a minute to brag on the manager Gabe and two of his servers Aaron and Ashley. Last Sunday August 3, 2025 after our church service we had a party of about 12 come in there pretty late and they welcomed us with open arms!! They was all engaging with the kids at the table, even won them some animals from the crane machine. The food was amazing and they were very on top of everything for our table despite them trying to close up as well. They didn’t rush us or anything. I just want to take the time to thank them for everything they did for us. Of I could give this store and the staff 10 stars I would have!!!

5+🥩 I hadn't been to a Shoney's in probably 30 years! Our friends down here in Knoxville told us we had to go to this particular Shoney's and they were right! Everything in the buffet was delicious. I had the fried pork chops, the shrimp, the creamed corn, the green beans, the potato salad, the mashed potatoes, it was all good! Their sweet tea was very good also! My wife had a little bit of almost everything. She said it all was delicious! So, this looks like Shoney's will be on the list from now on, lol! By the way, the bathrooms were spotless. Because if the bathrooms are dirty, so is the kitchen! Then you need to go somewhere else. See Jess, she is one of the servers there that took care of us, wonderful wonderful wonderful person.

if i could leave zero stars i would. my family and i came here for the first time for the dinner Buffett. it was absolute trash! seriously hardly any options. salad bar had better options then the actual food itself. legit like no protein options, there was bbq chicken wings and battered fish, no like chicken tenders or any like basic Buffett options. hardly got to eat honestly. they had burger patties just sitting out in like water which you then grab a bun in a little sandwhich bag, hotdogs and spicy chicken sandwhich as well. seriously reminded me of eating at my schools cafeteria. was not at all worth 14 almost 15$ a person. we seriously will NEVER be back.

Likewise Coffee, located in Knoxville, Tennessee, is a unique coffee shop set in a 100-year-old house in East Knoxville. The cozy and inviting space offers various nooks and corners for patrons to relax or work. It's also known for being dog-friendly, providing free treats and water bowls for furry friends. Additionally, the collaboration with Flourish Flowers adds an extra charm to the place. The coffee shop operates from early morning until evening on weekdays and has slightly adjusted hours on weekends.
Hands down my favorite coffee shop in Knoxville. It’s a great place to meet with people for work & to get things done. The owners are incredible, Will and Katie Boggs. I love knowing that my purchases are going towards their mission with Magnolia Ministries and the women of East Knoxville. I always order the seasonal drinks and a bagel with sausage, egg, and cheese and cream cheese on the side. DELICIOUS! The employees are friendly and the atmosphere is really great. There’s different rooms, great for meeting spaces or alone time and then you also can meet people in the community. 5 STARS no doubt. I love this place and the people who work here!

Cute coffee place with lots of space. I would have given five stars but the person who served us let this place down. We asked what food item she liked..that she may recommend and she said she doesnt really like the food here... So she could not comment. She then said it's pretty standard. I was baffled! The food was great (breakfast bagel!) but her attitude was really disappointing and did not exactly inspire... A smile could have helped??

Coffee is delicious and they have really great bagels too. I've usually gone early in the mornings around when they open, but even when it's early the folks working are really friendly. It's a great place to sit and read/do work! The parking isn't the best depending on when you go, but besides that I do love coming here whenever I'm by this part of town

Likewise is definitely one of the better coffee shops in knoxville. I love the old house feel, feels like your literally in somebody’s house. Very comfortable to relax and get some work done. My only complaint is that it was very cold in some areas of the building. Besides that tho very nice atmosphere. The coffee and bagel was nothing crazy but it hit the spot. Would come back again. 👍 3.9/5

I happily stumbled upon this great coffee shop on Magnolia. It's a nice change from the downtown spots; their prices for lattes and muffins are very reasonable, not expensive at all. The shop has a charming, house-like feel with different rooms and chairs. I'll definitely be back!

I come to likewise for coffee once every month or two. It’s not my favorite place, but it’s a good type of different if you want to shake things up. The coffee is really good, but not the best. However, the is the best coffee for the price! There’s many open spaces here for small groups to meet and it’s super quirky and excellent service. There’s not a lot of parking and for there being a lot of rooms, not many spaces for a lot single people. The thing that prevents me from coming here more often is the weird sour odor that’s hard to ignore. I don’t know what it is or where it comes from? I highly recommend stopping by and checking it out if you’re unsure.

I feel lucky we found this great restaurant open on a chilly Monday evening in downtown Knoxville. The decor is beautiful. Frog & Toad's Dixie Quartet was playing and they were great. Recommend the mushroom ceviche , cod tacos and guacamole. Waitstaff was friendly.

Ive been to this place a few times before and had lunch and my experience was good, this time I went to dinner on Saturday and honestly I was very disappointed with the food. Service was great and my server was super nice, the drinks are great (margaritas) and the mussels appetizer was decent. The Calamari was bad, tasted like old grease and was not pleasant. My main course was the Paella, now I was not expecting to be blown away but the dish had no flavor, no salt, no anything, the seafood was just boiled in water and the rice was just a mushy bland mess, super sad because it looked visually appealing. The other person in my party had the Birria Burger and it was just ok. I will give it 2 stars for the great service and drinks but the food needs to be worked on or something has to change , hate being negative I never post bad stuff but this was that bad.
Carlos C — Google review
I am not sure what all is in that queso but it’s divine. So rich and creamy. Plus, the chips are fresh and salty. Best chips I’ve had in awhile. My husband got carne asade and I had a birria taco with street corn. The corn had a little heat to it and when you order a taco, they’re grilled so they are a little crispy/cruchy even though they’re soft tacos. I absolutely loved it. Only DOWNSIDE- I came in wanting a birria burger and they were out. I also ordered a cider and was told they were probably out of that too. Then I heard the table next to us order empanadas and the waitress came back and said those were gone as well. The menu is very limited to have that many items 86’ed. When your menu is only ~25 items max, things have to be in stock. I’m only giving a better review because what he did have was delicious.

A friend told me the best place for Monday night Jazz in downtown Knoxville was at Babalu. She was definitely right. The place was packed, so I was glad I had made a reservation ahead of time. The venue was pretty chic, and most people there were dressed up for our Scruffy city. The food and service were excellent. The food here is upscale Latin at very reasonable prices. There was a decent wine selection, and this particular Monday they had $5 margarita specials. I opted for the house gin and tonic, which was quite tasty. Overall, it was a wonderful evening of good food, good music and fun. At one point, the band even played music so everyone could do a train in the restaurant. I would highly recommend stopping in on Monday to start your week off right.

Wonderful dining experience . We were a table of 5 and was seated within 10 minutes on a Thursday evening, The variety of food Babalu had to offer was amazing. The ambience of the place was great, and if you enjoy "I Love Lucy" shows, they air episodes on the screen by the entrance. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable bout the menu, which helped us decide on what to order. I had the Lamb Sliders and Sweet Potatoe Fries, which was fabulous. Nicely portion in tapa dishes, where you can enjoy other items off the menu or each other's dishes. That being said, menu is bit pricey though food is worth it too. I definitely will be back again and recommend for those looking for evening out with group of friends or date night.

The restaurant also offers happy hour specials every day, with discounts on wine, appetizers, liquor, and beer. Customers rave about the California burger and fried green tomatoes as must-try items on the menu.
This place was perfect. I went her after work one day and it definitely hit the spot. I did the appetizers at happy hour which I believe are $2 off during happy hour. The sauce on the chicken was fire, and the fried artichoke hearts were cooked to perfection!! I could have ate myself happy with the watermelon and feta salad, so yummy and refreshing. The atmosphere was so relaxing, everything was just perfect.
Quinisha G — Google review
I’ve been here on several occasions and think that Seasons is amazing! The atmosphere and service is always top notch. The shrimp and grits are my absolute favorite. As for deserts the key lime pie is amazing, Rich and creamy. Lastly our server Paul was the best, he had us laughing between taking orders. Overall: Price - I would rate this a $$ to $$$ restaurant. The quality of products are very good. And we were provided the most awesome biscuits. lol Taste - Seasoned very well although if you’re a Southern that prefer a “salt forward taste” you may want to ask for salt just in case. I would rather for it to be less salty than over salty. Quantity- Now this varies by your personal size and appetite. My wife and I were full from our meal but if you come here expecting Texas Roadhouse quantities then this is not your place. Lol What they serve here seems appropriate, my steak and eggs (with potatoes) were $28 and shrimp and grits were $20. With these things in mind I would highly recommend!

We came here for dinner. The vibes were nice and it was nice for a more classy dinner. The prices seemed high for the quality of food we got. We weren’t as in love with the food as we were at other places that were cheaper. I got the Italian chicken ciabatta and the chicken was huge to where i cut it up instead of eating it like a sandwich. We also got the crème brûlée which was good. Our server was very nice!

My only recommendation is they should definitely bring out more bread with it – could've easily eaten twice as much! But honestly, the service was fantastic. Everyone working there was super polite and just really helpful. Made the whole experience even better. Bottom line: Seasons Innovation is a solid choice if you're looking for some tasty food and friendly service. Definitely worth checking out!

Everything was excellent. We were greeted and seated immediately. We started with the calamari appetizer, which was fresh and tender. I had the crab cake sandwich... yum. It was the best crab cake I've ever had. I chose the sweet potato fries as my side, and they were crisp and flavorful. Kylie was our waitress, and she provided great service with a smile. I will definitely be back!

Very nice and cozy. Place. Service is very freindly. Has an upscale kind of environment with quality food and service. The watermelon salad with feta cheese was just wonderful. So fresh and delicious. I also ordered the Alaskan salmon which was very fresh and good. Served over a rice pilaf and some beans. Just a nice pleasant dinner. I need to come by soon to try the fili which i saw someone order next to me. Very big portion and just looks great. Came by again for quality sesame seared aha tunu and sea bass. This place is quality food

Last year I went with my son after Mother's Day. After two interactions, our server would not come back to the table and refused to even acknowledge me. I had to go find a manager to get the bill. Service has not gotten better. I went with friends tonight and will likely never go back. Our server took 20 minutes to refill drinks AFTER I had to flag him down and saw him tending to other tables. Food took almost an hour to come out and all that was ordered at our table were burgers or sandwiches, a salad and gluten free honeysuckle chicken tenders. They say they have a dedicated Gluten Free fryer, but I still got sick. The Calamari appetizer used to be good. The "steaks" have turned into wedges smaller than most steak fries. One of our party was supposed to have a wedge salad with chicken. The chicken never came out, the salad was literally a head of iceberg lettuce cut in half with a vinaigrette and sliced onions on it, nothing at all like the menu described. The only change he wanted was no Bleu cheese. Used to be good. Now just disappointing.

Very nice dinner last night. The spring chicken was good. The bread and butter was great.

The Firefly/ Marble City Kitchen is a great spot to enjoy a Galentine's Tea Service with scones and champagne or to unleash your inner artist at their Paint & Sip event, featuring charcuterie, wine, live music, and painting. You can also plan a Couples Afternoon Tea at Spice & Tea Exchange or enjoy dinner and dancing on the Tennessee River with the Volunteer Princess. The restaurant offers delicious breakfast options like avocado toast with an egg on top and smoked brisket hash.
We had the pleasure of eating here for breakfast for 2 mornings day, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. One day we got the avocado toast, which was great and came with an egg on top. The next day, Missus was hit pretty hard with a migraine and couldn’t make it downstairs, so Mister got takeout. The staff were concerned about her, asked if she was ok, made sure we had everything we needed, and sent her their best. Very kind. Got the smoked brisket hash, which was really tasty, and plentiful.

When I think of hotel restaurants, I usually think of a good atmosphere with subpar drinks. This is not your typical hotel restaurant. The food was amazing. The burger (even gluten free with no bun) was amazing and the fried chicken was crafted by someone who seriously loves food. On top of that, the drinks far surpassed the cocktail menu at any restaurant in town I’ve been to. Don’t hesitate. Good food, good drinks. Even had live music.

I had breakfast at The Firefly / Marble City Kitchen inside the Hilton Knoxville on two mornings while staying nearby at the Hampton Inn and Suites. Each time I was greeted warmly by the same hostess, who seated me right away, and both mornings I was taken care of by a friendly and attentive server. Service was consistent and made me feel welcome. Both days I ordered the sausage, mushroom, and cheddar cheese omelet with fresh fruit, an English muffin, and a side of avocado. The omelet was cooked well and flavorful, the avocado was fresh, and the fruit bowl had a nice mix of berries and melon that tasted fresh and ripe. The only minor drawback was the English muffin—it came out barely toasted both times, which wasn’t to my preference. One thing I appreciated was that the staff had no issue with me bringing in my Starbucks drink while dining, which made the experience more relaxed. Overall, the food was solid, portions were good, and I left full and satisfied both mornings. Combined with the welcoming staff, it made for a very positive start to the day.

We had a delicious breakfast this morning for the same price that we could’ve had a Starbucks coffee next-door. If you like a traditional eggs, ham, toast, and home fries than the Tennessee breakfast is the one for you. The sourdough bread was delicious, the eggs were cooked to perfection, and the ham was a large slab of very delicious protein.

It wasn't especially busy, but the food took quite a while to come out. The sweet potato fries are a spectacular experience! They were savory and delicious, with the hint of natural sweetness. The rest of the meal was spoken highly of as well, but everyone in our party of 6 agreed that we needed to order an additional side of those fries!

Exceptionally good food, service and apnosphere. I got a ceasers salad, my go to along with Salmon which was fantastic. A cream style of pinaple anong with rice was very suprisingly taisty with the salmon.. also tried some local mushrooms cooked in a bine broth. Very good. Will be back tomorrow. ...... one year later i came back here and had 3 more meals and the service and quality of food is excellent. I door and outdoor seating. Very comfortable and clean with a classiness tone. Its part of the Hilton Hotel whi h is great as well.

Honestly, i wish I could call the kitchen manager or executive chef and ask how they feel about the quality of their menu items leaving the kitchen. As a chef of 15+ years, I'm not impressed by any stretch of the imagination. Bland, undercooked, and I wish I hadmt gotten out of bed for what I could have gotten at a drive through.

I had the Smoked Lamb Ragu. I must say the first (and perhaps second) bites were underwhelming, but strangely it grew on me. The more I ate, the more I enjoyed it. The dinner rolls are obscenely good. The servers were very good. I was there Tuesday evening, June 17. The "music," playing on a repeating track of 6 or 8 "songs," was absolutely abominable, the worst "music" I ever remember hearing in a restaurant in my entire life. One "song" sounded like a hillbilly being strangled, and the others were only slightly better. The only positive was that the horrible "music" wasn't any louder. One staff member I talked with agreed with me, saying she has told management how terrible the "music" is but no one cares.
