Pub
Bar
Beer garden
Preservation Pub, located in Market Square, is a unique and quirky three-story dive bar with a speakeasy vibe and a rooftop garden deck. The pub is adorned with kitschy decorations and string lights, creating an atmosphere that feels like something out of 'Alice in Wonderland' or a Beatles album. Owned by locals Scott and Bernadette West, Preservation Pub offers over 300 beers on three floors, including the Moonshine Roof Garden where the iconic Magic Beer Tree stands.
The roof top bar was sooo cool. Affordable and nice enough bartenders. The decoration is the selling point for me. Tons of big crystals and cool (somehow) not cheesy fake trees. I would definitely make this a frequent haunt if this was my home town.
The S — Google review
My husband and I have always enjoyed coming to silent disco night on Wednesdays for its atmosphere and drinks, but my recent experience with the bartending staff was unprofessional and discourteous. There were two young ladies working one of the side bars on the rooftop, I didn’t catch their names one was short with black hair and the other was blonde. While I understand sometimes it gets hectic working at a bar, there was a relatively short line when it was our turn to order. From the beginning there was no friendly smile or costumer service. I had just a few questions and the blonde girl answered me quite rudely and fast like i was annoying her. Once I got my drink I asked for extra limes and the other girl started giggling and grabbed a few with her bare hands while the tongs were right there. I just walked away without my limes. The whole experience made me feel uncomfortable as a guest. While I won’t be coming back, I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for others and you all can actually hire some professional bartenders. There is no reason two girls should be giggling at me while i’m simply asking them things that pertain to their job. This must not be of much importance to them because they didn’t seem to care much about customer service or their tips!!
Christy M — Google review
I had the most amazing, relaxing time. The servers and bartenders were all great and super kind. I loved the rooftop. Its nicely decorated and has a very relaxed and calm atmosphere.
Olga Y — Google review
I had a great time hanging out with friends here. There are multiple levels with different vibes on each. The quesadillas are to die for. They do allow smoking inside. My only issue was when I asked where the live band was going to play at and no employee could help us.
Juniper — Google review
After being a semi-regular at Pres Pub for over 8 years now, I’ve grown such an affection for this spot to socialize, drink, dance, climb a shit ton of stairs, and smoke my squares on the specified floors. I’ve grown to be welcomed as a regular and greatly look forward to seeing my loyal and dedicated “regular” bartenders. I especially love how safe I feel going there by myself, as a riding-solo woman, at times, as many of the bartenders will check on me & ensure my well-being, most especially Lindsey Mullins and Brad Bryant. Thank you all for crafting my favourite environment in town here at the Pub.
Jen F — Google review
The bar manager will literally assault you like he did me last night on November 2nd and I will be taking him to court. Didn’t touch him at all but he decided to wrap my body up and fight me and then try and tell the police he didn’t touch me and he can’t fight for real at all. he’s weak and couldn’t even fist fight me like a real man. Hope you got a lawyer bald boy
Darrius C — Google review
Had a get together/good bye party here and it was amazing. There were so many levels and each rooftop had a different theme. The staff were friendly & the music was pretty nice. There is a Fee to get in but it’s not much. You get a pretty cool view of the market square and so on. I would recommend coming here to hang out, see the cool rooftops and views! 🍻👌🏽🎶
Sagar N — Google review
What a super cute roof top bar. There are potentially 7 different bars in one with this being on top of the 3rd floor. Highly decorated with gorgeous crystals and stone, anyone who is into crystals and chakras will love this place! Calm peace and serenity was how I felt, we came on a Tuesday and there was about 20 or 30 people here. I was told the place gets packed after 11 on weekends.

Bar
Nestled in the heart of Knoxville, TN, Peter Kern Library is a sophisticated speakeasy-style bar located at the back of the Oliver Hotel. The city has recently experienced a cultural renaissance, embracing its local artists and rich history while offering creative food and drinks. This unique lounge transports visitors to another time with its beauty and mystery, making it stand out among Knoxville's best bars.
Full disclosure, we did not try the food here. This speakeasy is pretty dope. The sliding door of the wall of art and the entrance is pretty neat. The cocktails were very unique and delicious along with a great whiskey selection. The staff was very nice and attentive and the decor of the place is very unique and cool. The place is very lively but not too noisy.
Jimmy S — Google review
This is a fun speakeasy with great craft cocktails.. I enjoyed the Aslan: 1950, plus they have an extended list of great slippers to try. The staff was very friendly and fun. Put this on your list when in Knoxville Downtown.
John S — Google review
Overall, the experience was pleasant, though I don’t quite share the enthusiasm surrounding this location. The concept—receiving a code and finding the red light in an alley—sets an exciting tone. I had looked forward to knocking for entry, but the door was unmanned and already open, which diminished the intrigue slightly. The hostess was polite and seated us promptly. The atmosphere was warm, casual, and true to a speakeasy, with closely shared booth seating. The drink menu was thoughtfully curated, offering a wide range of unique options. Unfortunately, service fell short. We intended to enjoy a few rounds before our reservation at Vida but managed only one due to a long wait. Despite available tables, our server avoided eye contact and was slow to return. When she did, service was polite but lacked attentiveness. The cocktails themselves were expertly made and enjoyable. While our visit was underwhelming, I’d consider returning for a second chance.
Ash — Google review
What a great little find in the heart of Knoxville market district. Amazing drinks with a great atmosphere. Comfortable seating, friendly service that is knowledgeable about whiskey. We had a wonderful old fashioned with Forbidden whiskey which was smooth and full of Smokey orange flavor. Must place for a cocktail while in Knoxville
Denise C — Google review
We found this spot and were super excited about the speakeasy vibe. When arriving, we waited in the lobby area for about 5 minutes before someone arrived and let us into the actual bar. We had the code ready and everything, although they did not really use it and just let us through which killed the vibe a bit. Overall though, the ambiance and drinks were both amazing! The service was great as well and our waiter was super sweet and gave us recommendations.
Elena P — Google review
Nice, quiet, little place. Cocktails were unique. Service was a little slow (with only us and a couple of other patrons in the establishment). But the wait staff was very knowledgeable. Only complaint -- it was freezing in there!!
Cynthia O — Google review
The Peter Kern Library is a great spot for a cocktail before or after dinner. I enjoy the “speakeasy” vibe, in the heart of Downtown Knoxville. From my understanding, they frequently update their menu so you can always try something new each visit.
Jared W — Google review
I came here on a date when I first moved to Knoxville, my boyfriend and I each had a couple drinks, I don’t remember the first drinks we ordered, but I do distinctly remember how delicious the espresso martinis were had were. I dream of them. Highly recommend going if you’ve never been. It’s a really chill vibe, for anyone who’s a millennial like we are, the lighting is PERFECT. I’m looking forward to our next visit.

Five Thirty Lounge, located at the top of the Hyatt Place Hotel in downtown Knoxville, offers a unique rooftop experience with stunning views of the city and the Appalachian Mountains. The lounge features a cozy fire pit and an elegant interior, creating a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere. Guests can enjoy expertly crafted cocktails and a selection of small bites while taking in the breathtaking scenery. Additionally, its proximity to Gay Street allows visitors to explore historical theaters, art galleries, and restaurants in the area.
Such a fun spot! Hidden Gem! Loved the option of covered igloo seating and the firepit lounging areas! Couches and chairs were very common. Our server Annie was attentive and made our evening even better!

Great atmosphere and view on top of the Hyatt in downtown Knoxville. Angus sliders and avocado hummus were delicious. Also tried the Farragut old fashioned, had a nice vanilla hint to it. Recommend this spot!
Rocque G — Google review
Just got back from Knoxville and the Hyatt Place hotel. The hotel is wonderful and the front staff is super friendly. The rooftop bar is very overpriced. My husband and I both ordered ordinary drinks. I wanted a margarita and he wanted a whiskey sour. Our bartender first told us she had to go open a new bottle of Patron and get whiskey from inside. She came back with a different brand and my husband's drink.. Keep in mind we didn't order food or more than one drink each. Our tab before the tip was almost $89. For 2 basic drinks. Do not recommend. Too pricey for what you get.
Clarissa D — Google review
Abby was a GREAT bartender!!! She had a great personality and also makes a great dirty martini! We will definitely be asking to sit with her the next time we come! Make sure to get a cocktail from her!
Ashley S — Google review
Great location and atmosphere, but the management has no idea how to host happy hours. Prices on the menu, website, and signage around the Hyatt are inconsistent. The temperature in the "lounge" is the same as the elevator shaft. I'm posting a picture of the current happy hour menu that they're honoring (dated: 07/20/2025).

Sam was a great, attentive server! Really sweet of the staff giving me a surprise birthday card! Thanks so much, that is a level of class that sets businesses apart! Avocado hummus is #1 the olive oil is authentic like you taste in Italy! We are excited to come back soon!

Was here in Knoxville while my mom was at the UT Medical Center. This place is very clean and cool. But the best parts of this trip were Logan the Bartender and Muniri at the front desk who was so knowledgeable and helpful. Logan makes great drinks and made me feel so welcome. I would come back just to hang out at the bar with him, he's a great guy. This trip has had its ups and downs but the downs were so much easier thanks to these two great employees. Thank you guys and thank you Hyatt.

Nestled in the heart of Knoxville, Scruffy City Hall stands as a captivating blend of gothic architecture and vibrant entertainment. This unique venue, owned by the same family as Preservation Pub, features three distinct levels that cater to various tastes. The Main Hall is perfect for intimate performances, while the Loggia Balcony Bar offers stunning views of Market Square—ideal for people-watching.
Stumbled into this spot by pure happy accident — and it was exactly what we didn’t know we were looking for! 🎶🍻 Caught some live music, soaked up the good vibes, and even did a little impromptu night walking tour of Knoxville (because why not?). The service? Top notch. The crowd? Friendly as ever. The whole night? A 10/10 unexpected gem. @bucketlistbabekc

We just stopped for drinks but there were 3 stories of bars. It was fun and the band that was playing that night was pretty good. The roof was not going well cause of rain but I’m sure it is awesome.
Travis K — Google review
Had an awesome time at Scruffy City Hall. Lexi and Bri were working the bar and absolutely crushed it — they were super friendly, quick with service, and made everyone feel welcome. They mixed great drinks and kept the good vibes going all night. It's rare to find bartenders who are both professional and genuinely fun to talk to. Definitely coming back because of them!
Aslan M — Google review
It was really cool going in on a random day for a hardrock concert. Beer was tasty, they had a good selection. We didnt get to try any food. Having security to get in was nice, I saw them confiscate a knife.

Great staff and atmosphere. The food was delicious and I had a blast being part of an open mic on my 41st birthday there!

Easy to accommodate just little bit above 30 ppl on the roof bar. Nice weather and cool breeze set inside.
Manoj A — Google review
Just saw another video from a disabled creator about their experience at your bar. They were told by your bartender Jackie that they would not be allowed to use the elevator since they did not possess a wheelchair or walker. This is a clear violation of the ADA and incredibly demeaning to insinuate that the customer is not “disabled enough” to use the elevator. Thankfully other bartenders and security staff were able to assist them but you need to train your staff on how to properly handle these situations. Living with disabilities is hard enough and navigating an inaccessible world makes it harder. Invisible disabilities are valid and not everyone has the financial situation or resources to obtain a mobility aid. Your customers should not have to tell their private medical information to bartenders to be able to gain access to the rest of the establishment. This was embarrassing and disappointing to hear about. Please do better. It’s 2025 people shouldn’t have to be fighting for accessibility to enjoy a night out.
Sofia C — Google review
Edit after owner response: yikes I went on a Saturday 6/28/2025 and there was an anti-ice demonstration out front. This poor review is not about them but they're relevant. We went in and went upstairs to the rooftop bar. There were 4 very drunk, very rowdy people shouting at the protest from the rooftop. They were saying vile stuff. We spoke to the bartender and she said that security was going to deal with it and she was very nice otherwise. Security showed up, talked to them for a minute, and then left. They kept saying and yelling nasty things at the protest. The bartender looked at us apologetically as we left. It really feels like security gave them a pass when they should have thrown them out. We stayed another hour or so downstairs since we'd already paid our cover but I probably won't be back. Issue here is not the politics really but the fact that security showed disruptive, obviously too drunk people stay and continue impacting other customers.

Boyd’s Jig and Reel is a charming Scottish pub nestled in downtown Knoxville, where the spirit of Scotland comes alive through its traditional meals and vibrant atmosphere. This cozy establishment not only boasts an impressive selection of rare whiskies sourced from the Scotch Malt Whisky Society but also serves up delightful dishes like haggis with neeps and tatties, bangers and mash, and even a unique twist on Tikka Masala.
Had a great time, first time here. Bartender was awesome and informative. Food was stellar, be sure to try the pretzel 🥨 with house made beer cheese. The Scotch Egg was awesome as well. Amazing selection of booze too, shelves upon shelves of global booze. Will definitely return
Jim B — Google review
Enjoyed the atmosphere and music, definitely worth the draw. Service was a bit lacking for as few patrons were there on a wednesday night but they might have been understaffed. The Steak and Ale pie was great, lots of flavor and gravy to enjoy. The Cottage pie, not so much, basically just mashed potatoes with very little anything else.
Michael D — Google review
Excellent service in a cool and cozy atmosphere. Unimaginable amount of whiskeys to choose from. Scottish eggs were absolutely delicious and not too heavy like some other places. Fish and chips was a good portion, flavorful and perfectly battered. They don't take reservations but we walked in and sat immediately on a Friday night at 730. It was very busy when we left at 915. They have live music. Must be 21 to enter after 9.
Michael T — Google review
Bf and I got steak and ale pie. Very good. Guinness, toffee cake with ice cream for dessert. Loved listening to the music. Lots of room. We sat near the bar. But 2 extra rooms to the left of the bar.
Amy T — Google review
As I strolled around downtown Knoxville someone recommended jig & reel to me because I was hoping to hear some live local music. The chicken pot pie whas hot and tasty but a bit lacking for $18. Mostly pastry and gravy. Very little chicken and veggies. Service was great and the music was so classic! I guess Tuesday nights are a hootenanny with lots of senior musicians gathering to play together. Overall it was a fun experience, and I would definitely hit it again.

Bangers and mash. Very good, mild tasting sausage with very hot horseradish creamy mustard I bypassed in favor of regular mustard on table. Will return for other offerings!

Ice cream shop
Cruze Farm Ice Cream in Downtown Knoxville is a vibrant red-and-white shop that offers freshly-churned soft serve ice cream, espresso, and hot chocolate. During the holiday season, the shop features a variety of festive flavors such as Candy Cane ice cream, Peppermint Bark Shake, Peppermint Hot Chocolate, and more. The menu changes daily with an array of flavors and toppings to choose from.
Mid afternoon and a line out the front door. I’d guess 40 people in line waiting to order. We decided that line itself is an indicator to give it a try! Absolutely worth it! Line moves swiftly with very nice and patient staff! The ice cream is obviously good, wide variety of options and combinations.
Terrence R — Google review
Cruze Farm Ice Cream in downtown Knoxville made for a fun stop after dinner with friends on a warm evening. The place has a nostalgic soda fountain feel to it—right down to the red-and-white branding, and the staff dressed like they time-traveled from a 1950s milk bar, which honestly added to the charm. I went for the Cookies N Cream Churn, and it hit the spot—creamy, rich, and topped with a generous handful of crushed cookies (as you can see in my photo). Between the group, we tried a bit of everything: root beer floats, strawberry milkshake, sweet cream, vegan vanilla… not a single complaint in the bunch. Everyone seemed pretty happy with their choices, and it was the kind of place where the mood lifted as soon as we walked in. The only knock—and it's a small one—is that the layout gets cramped fast. Once the line grows (and it did), the space fills up quickly, and it can be hard to figure out where to wait or stand without getting in someone's way. Still, it’s clearly a local favorite for a reason. I’d definitely swing back by if I’m in Knoxville again, especially after a long day of walking. Worth a detour for anyone craving a sweet treat downtown.
Les D — Google review
My family and I really love this place! It's not always easy to find a great ice cream spot, but the flavors and service here are top-notch. The staff were friendly and went above and beyond - exceptional service!

Not sure if I will ever make it back to Knoxville, but if I do, I will definitely come back to this place. I tried the half and half buttercream and pumpkin spice flavor and couldn´t get enough of it.
Sid P — Google review
Sooooo good! The best ice cream you will ever try! It is a little busy and we had to wait outside in a line probably because it was a Saturday night but other than that 10/10 the staff is super friendly and service is very quick, the ice creamer is the best, definitely worth trying it out.
L L — Google review
Stop in with the family on Sunday for a treat after having brunch at Market Square. The sweet cream milkshake is hands down the best I've ever had. It's $7.49 for a shake but worth every damn penny. It's sweet rich and decadent creamy goodness in a cup. You will not be disappointed. It's so good I've never had anything else from there. The wife raves about the cookies and cream though. If you have kids this is a must stop. You get 45 min. of peace while they are woofing down this ice cream. That alone is worth the cost of admission. Can't recommend Cruze Farm enough! They stand alone at the top of the ice cream mountain. Take the climb and plant your flag in a sweet cream milkshake.

Tern Club, located in the heart of downtown Knoxville on the 100 Block of Gay Street, is a vibrant tiki bar offering a tropical escape with its Hawaiian shirts, laid-back atmosphere, and Polynesian-inspired decor. The bar features an extensive holiday cocktail menu with unique drinks like Menta Clause, Tingle Bells, and It's a Wonderful Spice. Had been recommended by a friend… so glad I tried it. Came with a friend on a rainy evening. Thankfully parking on street after 6pm is free! Walked in and warmly greeted. Sit where you like. There is seating outback & outside in front as well, but not covered. Sat inside. Given menus and given time. Asserted all questions. Full bar so they can make anything… not only just on the menu. I found out they make two drink I like but decided to try on menu. I got the Summer Wine. It was good but very herbal. Asked if I could get a bit more fruit flavor, was happily given some grenadine to add. Which set it off and more to my taste. Friend got the zombie. Holy cow it was strong. One sip was enough for me. Got the Cubano to share. It was small… very small! But fabulous flavor!!!! If they made it bigger, could have a light meal with drinks. It’s more small appetizer. But very good!!!! Downside: It’s Loud!!! They desperately need to install some sound absorption tiles hight on the walls and ceiling. There we’re taking we couldn’t hear each other across our small table. The entire club only seats about 30-40 max. So not many people. Great staff!!! Our waitress and guessing management stopped by our table every 10-15 min to check on us. We had I think 3 or 4 different people ask. Was impressed and plan on returning to try more drinks! Would recommend!!!

Cocktails here were very delicious and flavorful. We sat outside on the back patio, had a really cool relaxed aesthetic. Unfortunately some guy was smoking cigarettes back there, but other than that enjoyed being outside. I loved the Great Gazoo, never thought to mix mezcal and gin but it was delicious. I also got a zombie and wow flavorful and strong. I would come back here if I lived in Knoxville.

Tern Club is a Knoxville gem. They are by far my favorite establishment in the Knoxville area. All of the drinks are well-executed and unique. Furthermore, the staff is attentive and always willing to make something new for me when I’m feeling indecisive. The food menu is also perfect. The mulitas are an ideal bar snack as they are tasty but not necessarily a full meal. Tern Club will always have a special place in my heart ❤️

Spectacular drinks! Great staff. Awesome vintage atmosphere. Comfortable seating. Indoor and outdoor seating (front and back). Reasonable prices.
Joshua S — Google review
Drinks and atmosphere are always phenomenal! Service leaves something to be desired- pay your wait staff a living wage so customers don’t have to shoulder that burden with tips. Unless the service is above average (which it never is), why should I have to tip out a waitress who almost always has an attitude? Great drinks, but getting harder to justify spending money here with the waitstaff.
Taylor M — Google review
Awesome drinks! So cool to have a place that can do a proper tiki drink downtown! Will be back! ☺️

Feed the bad wolf. Maddie was amazing and made our drinks to prrfection! The drinks were excellent and the check came with a postcard. When's the last time that happened? Super great souvenir!

Such a chill and relaxed vibe with beautiful aesthetics either inside or outside. We had great cocktails- the Limelight and the Halekulani. Both super delicious. The Limelight is light and refreshing, not too sweet or super spirit forward - citrusy and delicious. The Halekulani is a smooth tropical bourbon twist. Loved it here!

Nestled in the vibrant Market Square, Stock & Barrel is a must-visit for burger enthusiasts and bourbon lovers alike. This stylish eatery has carved out a niche in Knoxville's culinary landscape by offering burgers crafted from thoughtfully sourced ingredients. The beef comes from Mitchell Family Farms, while their breads are baked fresh at Flour Head Bakery and cheeses are supplied by Sweetwater Valley Farm.
My food was so good, I couldn't stop eating long enough to take a picture before I finished my plate! Best burger ever! Fries are excellent! Love the atmosphere. If you want a great burger, come to this place! They have a couple of traditional burgers but also some very interesting combinations that I can't wait to try the next time I'm in town
NATHAN P — Google review
Great place if you are looking for burgers. They offer all different types of combos from traditional with cheese to egg or peanut butter toppings. The fries were great and the burger was cooked to order and was delicious. I tried the fried feta as an appetizer and it was good. Order if looking for a shareable . The tomato salad was refreshing and reminded me of a Greek salad. Our server was very friendly, knowledgeable and was very attentive to our table.

Busy place on game day, we got seated pretty quickly. We sat outside which was pleasant and great for people watching. We both ordered the Mother Clucker sandwich (Fried in a Buttermilk batter, Havarti cheese, Garlic Aioli, Bourbon Glaze Onions and topped with Tomato and Greens. OMG delicious. I ask for some Honey Mustard and got a Honey Dijon Vinaigrette. It was absolutely amazing, best sandwich ever! I recommend getting the split order of fries and onion rings because it’s more than you can eat. Ethan was our server and he was fantastic. Don’t go by the picture I posted. Give us the backside of my wife’s sandwich, which was grilled. My fried sandwich was huge. We will definitely go back.

We loved our visit here! My wife had the salmon burger, and I had the 'merican burger! Phenomenal burgers!! They were simply outstanding! Our waiter was awesome as well! He checked on us frequently, and gave us refills as needed. The burgers were not cheap, but they were worth it. The fries and onion rings were also absolutely delicious!! I'm not sure if I can recall onion rings that good. Definitely a "must revisit" for us!

A solid little burger joint in Market Square. Not nearly as good as the hype that it has received. Went on a Sunday at lunch and was seated immediately. The restaurant itself is nothing special, kind of plain and honestly kind of small. Our food was good with no complaints. Service was great. I wouldn’t say it’s the best burger in town by any means, but worth a try if you’re interested.
Sam T — Google review
I got the Bernie. It was good but the blue cheese didn't work for me personally. The onion rings were the best I've ever had. I also ordered the Darrel strawberry bourbon cocktail. It was pretty good. My son got the bison burger, my daughter got the free bird, and her fiancé got chicken and waffles. They all loved theirs. The duck fat fries were awesome too.
Kerri M — Google review
Burger size portions were enough to share. Old Fashioned was a nice fit for a burger. 100s of burning to select and a variety of burgers for any dietary preference. You can even upgrade your burger meat selection to bison or change to gluten-free bun.

Stock & Barrel is an absolute gem! The food was outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and clearly crafted with care. Really is the best burger around! What really blew me away was their incredible bourbon selection—easily one of the best I’ve seen. The staff was amazing too: friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. It’s definitely worth the wait to eat or drink here.

The Tennessee Theatre, which opened in 1928 and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places, has been meticulously restored to its former grandeur. With its stunning Spanish-Moorish design and opulent decor including Czech crystal chandeliers and Italian terrazzo floors, the theater offers a step back in time. It hosts a variety of events such as classical music performances, vintage film screenings, dance shows, and touring Broadway productions.
Another wonderful night out at the Tennessee Theatre. I bought the Broadway subscription a few months back, and yesterday night was my first time seeing the Tina Turner musical. It completely blew me away: the costumes, the singing, and the set design. The main actress just did an unbelievable job from the singing to even the leg shaking that Tina Turner used to do. If you get a chance to see this one, don't pass it up. The audience gave a standing ovation to this fine cast in the end. This time around I didn't get anything from the concession stand, but as always the drinks and popcorn are fairly priced ($4 for a small bucket of popcorn and $4 for soft drinks). They also offer certain beers/wine. For parking at the theatre, I use the State Street Garage. By the time, I left the theatre, the gates were up and my parking was free.

Diana Krall last year and just three days ago Saint Paul and the broken bones after we got married Saturday we were there for our honeymoon. The atmosphere is amazing! We will be back and I recommend if you get a chance to go Do Not pass it up!!!

I had the privilege of seeing Jay White perform his tribute to Neil Diamond. This guy is fantastic! The show was lively and interactive. Jay got the crowd involved with the music. He gave an excellent impersonation of Neil Diamond. The musicians were highly talented. The theater was beautiful as usual and the employees were outstanding.

I'm 6'5 and a heavy guy so the seats are a bit tight. I enjoyed Les Miserables, but I thought moulin rouge was a bit off. First of all it really threw in a homosexual LGBQT Plus addition to the show that I thought wasn't needed and certainly felt it should have been advertised that way so everybody knew that ahead of time. The second problem with that show was that I think they over did it with the sound system and push the speakers too far. The most recent visit I saw Carmen the Opera and thought it was fantastic especially considering the price compared to what I would have had to pay in California to see that. The cast in the orchestra were great I only complaint would be I would have liked to have a little more power to the sound system.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this charming establishment, and I must say, it was an experience that delighted all the senses. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the dessert pictured above—a beautifully plated creation that struck the perfect balance between artistry and flavor. The smooth, custard-like centerpiece was delicately infused with tropical notes, complemented by a bright, silky sauce and tart pops of raspberry coulis. Fresh raspberries added both a vibrant color and a welcome acidity to offset the sweetness. The elegant garnish—thin, crisp shards—provided a satisfying textural contrast that tied everything together. Presentation here is taken seriously, and it shows. The dessert looked almost too beautiful to eat, served in a deep blue ceramic bowl that enhanced the vivid colors of the dish. Every detail felt intentional and refined. Beyond the food, the ambiance was warm and inviting. Dim lighting and understated decor created an intimate atmosphere perfect for a relaxed evening out. Service was attentive without being intrusive—staff were happy to answer questions and share recommendations, making the experience feel personal and unhurried. Overall, this restaurant excels at delivering thoughtful, creative cuisine in a setting that feels both sophisticated and comfortable. Whether you’re a dessert lover or simply looking for an elevated dining experience, I highly recommend paying them a visit.

Suttree's High Gravity Tavern is a popular spot in downtown Knoxville, offering an impressive selection of craft beers with 32 taps that are constantly changing. The tavern also boasts a wide variety of whiskeys and serves up delicious ramen. Alongside the extensive beer options, patrons can enjoy classic pub food such as Cuban sandwiches and hot dogs with various toppings. This hidden gem is known for its imported and draft beers, making it a go-to destination for beer enthusiasts.
Suttree’s High Gravity Tavern has a cool, eclectic vibe with vintage pinball machines, arcade games, and live local music that gives it a fun, throwback feel. They’ve got a great selection of craft beers and some really unique ramen options. I had Matt’s Ramen (Regular) and the broth was bold and full of flavor. I added smoked brisket, scallions, and a poached egg, which made it even better. To drink, we tried the Cup PB&J Mixtape Sour. It seriously tastes like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich! Sweet, tart, and super nostalgic. Definitely not your average beer. We also tried the spinach and artichoke dip, quesadillas, and Rise & Shine Ramen.

Suttree’s in downtown Knoxville is such a gem! The ramen here is absolutely fantastic — rich, flavorful broth, perfectly cooked noodles, and great toppings that all come together beautifully. You can tell everything is made with care. The vibe inside is laid-back and welcoming, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. It’s the perfect spot to grab a comforting bowl of ramen downtown. Highly recommend to anyone craving great food and good atmosphere!

Honky Tonk thursday was super fun. The beer selection was excellent. I didnt get a chance to try the ramen, but it looked good.
Cameo64 — Google review
We have been coming here for years and always get the outstanding Ramen and local meats you can add to the Ramen. Today we ventured out and got a quesadilla with added jalapeños. It was absolutely delicious as well as the homemade salsa that comes with it. It has an amazing splash of roasted garlic and honey! It is amazing what the little splash of honey does for the salsa! The staff is amazing and very friendly. If you are a local or just in town for a night and love ramen or want to snack this is a must try place.
Peter G — Google review
These folks are great; the ramen is excellent (Matt's -- be warned, its a bit spicy as it comes, if you order it "hot" do MEAN IT; the others are good as well) and the other fare is also excellent. Great beer selection including some bottled "watch out" ones (have a DD or else!) as they live up to the "high gravity" name. "Behind the wall" (other side) features a selection of pinball machines. A favorite of mine even though I have to drive into town for it -- strongly recommended.
Karl D — Google review
We LOVE coming to Suttrees! Hannah and Andy are the sweetest bartenders in town, and the ramen is phenomenal. They had a refrigerator go out last week, so they didn't have a kitchen open, and Hannah let us bring in takeout so we could still hang out at our favorite spot! The only thing we don't like is the new system for music, as it seems like the same ole playlists are used all of the time. Previously the bartenders had control of the music and we could make requests. It seems like they've taken away the punk rock feel of the bar. Still worth a visit though!
Tina E — Google review
Great place! We played some games, enjoyed a tasty ramen and a couple of beers, and had a blast in the photo booth. The staff were amazing, with Hannah proving to be the best bartender around.
Melissa B — Google review
Hannah was out bartender and she was the absolute best! She was extremely warm and welcoming, as was the rest of the staff. We were only in town a week and came back a few times because of the people there. Hannah was definitely a standout to me, coming from the service industry, she didnt make it feel like she was working. Definitely coming back in the next time we roll through Knoxville. Absolutely brilliant!

Nestled in Downtown Knoxville, Tennessee, Osteria Stella is a new concept by hospitality power couple Aaron Thompson and Jessica Rabbit King. With years of experience from their award-winning bar and restaurant, Sapphire, they bring authenticity and excellence to one of Tennessee's oldest cities through this cutting-edge venue. The Italian aperitivo culture is celebrated at Brother Wolf with a captivating cocktail menu served alongside light bites.
If you enjoy authentic Italian food (been to Italy) you will enjoy this place with a nice selection of Italian dishes and desserts. It's a small first-class restaurant that knows how to do it. If you're on a budget, I would skip this place and wait for only a special occasion because you'll spend some $ here but it's worth it. The attentive staff (including Parker) are professional and make you feel like you're the only person in the restaurant.

I can’t say enough amazing things about our experience at Osteria Stella. It was our anniversary, and they went above and beyond to give us a special experience. The food was very tasty, drinks were perfection, our server Bella was a peach, the entire staff made sure we were well taken care of, and the atmosphere really made our night one for the books. An incredibly special gem in the city!
Schy — Google review
Our server and host were very accommodating and so knowledgeable on the menu and drinks. When you walk in, you feel as though you have traveled to Milan or Venice. The atmosphere is fine dining without being stuffy, giving it a nice relaxed casual feel. The attention to detail with the menu was amazing! Everything on the plate was intentional, not to mention the silver and fine china that was replaced with each course. We started with the homemade focaccia and oil along with the beef carpaccio. Both were so well done and then we moved to the salad course. The salad was smoked mozzarella with butternut squash, sliced apple, walnuts, and aragula drizzled with balsamic. Next was the pasta course. Christy opted for the corn carbonara while I indulged in the gnocchi with crispy potato skins and carmelized onion. The meat course was memorable as Christy chose the halibut, which is butchered in house, with cauliflower and broccolini. This included fish meatballs which were to die for. I chose the breaded veal chop with fingerling potatoes and radicchio salad. This was easily the best veal I have ever tasted. As we were celebrating our 7th anniversary, the staff left us a nice card they had all signed and we were given Prosecco to start. We also had a green apple Bellini to drink along with an orange creamsicle Italiano cocktail. Christy did have the chocolate cannoli with orange simple syrup, and noted it was the best she had ever eaten. You can go anywhere and have a good meal. Here, you get an experience and the meal is the perfect compliment to that. Parking is pay parking directly across the street and is easily accessible. Make sure to make a reservation and get down to Osteria Stella! You won’t regret it or ever forget it!

This place is such a good date spot. My girlfriend and I received a “happy anniversary” card that was signed by the whole waiting staff. It has such a good atmosphere, although our reservation was for 9:30 pm and so the adjacent bar was playing music that we could slightly hear. I could see some people not liking that, however I am knit picking. It’s not the restaurants fault that the bar had loud music, overall, probably my favorite place for an intimate dinner in Knoxville and definitely worth the price range!
Hotdogrelish V — Google review
Simply exquisite. The food was exceptional, and felt as if each course was handcrafted exclusively for us. The staff is friendly and extremely knowledge on both the food and drink menus, happily providing recommendations based on your input. The atmosphere is divine - it's quiet (with the exception of good soft music), dark, and romantic. I can't wait for my next experience here.
Josh C — Google review
Tonight was OK, but my gnocchi had no seasoning whatsoever. Heard of salt? Why restaurants in Knoxville serve decent appetizers and then completely screw up their entrees? It used to be my favorite place but it’s getting lower on a very short list. Food in this town just sucks, nobody cares. It was a great experience :) We came in for an anniversary dinner. Their staff is very polite and well trained; they originally wanted to seat us at a small table but adjusted it upon request. The food is very good: home made, flavorful, and fresh. I was a bit taken aback by their pasta; I know it’s home made but it didn’t flood me with the flavor and it’s slightly tougher than I personally like. I wished they explained that the veil chop was arrived without sides ;) it wasn’t clear to me. The wine selection is great and they have a good sommelier who advises well. The deserts weren’t amazing: not enough coffee flavor in their tiramisu for me. And because they were going back and forth on the deserts (communication problems in the kitchen) and we waited quite a bit, they took care of them, which was nice. The espresso was light, much lighter than I like. Next time I’ll ask for extra strong :) because we’re definitely going back to try more of that food!

Nestled just a few blocks south, Brother Wolf has made quite the splash in Knoxville's cocktail scene. This Italian-themed bar is renowned for its extensive Negroni menu, including the much-talked-about Negroni Sbagliato that recently went viral. Patrons rave about their espresso martini, often hailed as the best in town.
Such a cool restaurant! We went to Brother Wolf last night for a date night and absolutely loved it! Our food and cocktails were amazing! We both ordered the Hot Honey Peach cocktail. For food, we ordered the Focaccia Osteria Stella, the Arancini, and the Salumi e Formaggi. Everything was fantastic and full of flavor. The atmosphere was perfect for our date night. We visited on a Saturday, and it was busy. This didn’t affect our service at all! Our server was super attentive, friendly, and helpful with the menu. The menu has a great variety of authentic Italian cuisine, and we were both impressed. Our food came out in a timely manner and was delicious! I highly recommend Brother Wolf. We look forward to dining here again soon!

Love the atmosphere here, it’s a casual but a little eclectic place. Nice cocktails, pretty well made. I got an old fashioned, but it was made with rum. I have given Brother Wolf multiple chances and every time I leave I always say I will never go back. The staff is overwhelmingly rude. It’s a great space and a great concept, but it would be hard to find ruder staff anywhere in Knoxville. They were not busy and the server acted personally offended that she had to get us drinks. She had no knowledge of the wine list or sizes or beers and made fun of my friend for asking a question. We are all in our 40’s and she inspected our ID’s so closely you would have thought we looked 15. My cocktail was fine, nothing special and certainly not a $15 drink. I ordered a shot of espresso and it arrived literally ice cold. When I asked for a new one I was met with eye rolls and heavy sighs. I also told 2 different staff members that both restrooms were out of soap. After being there for over an hour no soap was placed in the restroom. I certainly hope the staff has some secret soap they use. They got my last dollar yesterday…. For real this time.
Jennifer S — Google review
We have given Brother Wolf so many chances, and it honestly used to be really good. Now, each time we go we are so disappointed. On our most recent visit, our server was rude and dismissive, in addition to knowing nothing about the wine list, and managing to offend my taste in wine while trying, in vain, to offer recommendations beyond the wine I ordered which was out of stock. I want this place to be good because we love Italian wine and cocktails, but I can't justify going back. It's a college bar, borderline club, that doesn't take their drinks or service seriously.

The indoor bar features floor-to-ceiling windows, creating a bustling atmosphere perfect for sipping handcrafted cocktails while enjoying panoramic views of Gay Street and Market Square. Whether you prefer to relax by the fire, pool, or in a lighted cabana, this rooftop lounge provides an upscale setting for patrons to unwind.
This is by far the best drinking experience I ever had. Josh their manager set us up!! I set up a reservation to celebrate my fiancées birthday and he reserved me a cabana and even gave us a bottle of champagne to celebrate. The views, the scenery, the atmosphere, the staff and service are as high as the place sits in the Knoxville skyline. Out of this world service and cannot wait to go back!

Had limited drink choices do to no running water. And plastic cups. Didn't even have any Captain Morgan ? My daughters beer was good though. And the view was amazing

Radius is one of my FAVORITE bars in Knoxville. 1000/10 for atmosphere. They have good mocktail/ non alcoholic options. I went with my friend on a Monday night and it wasn’t crowded. We were able to grab a couch by the fire. It’s much more crowded on the weekends, but not to the point of being overwhelming. They also have a dress code. That is something to consider before coming here.

Amazing atmosphere! We watched the sunset with drinks and it was a great last night to our weekend girls trip. Great views and the fire pit made it cozy and comfortable.

I'm totally obsessed with this rooftop bar! The view is absolutely stunning! The drinks are creative and delicious, and the service was top-notch. The Radius manager, Josh and his staff went above and beyond accommodating us this weekend for our daughter’s wedding party!! We couldn’t be happier!

Great views, great service and good cocktails. No food is served there, but the hotel put out snacks which was nice. The minute you set an empty drink down, the gals come grab it. We were pleasantly surprised by this! They were on it.

The Public House is a neighborhood bar known for its craft cocktails, small but delicious wine list, and southern-inspired food. It offers a relaxed atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating, making it perfect for groups. The bar has a lovely outdoor space and a great indoor area with beautiful art hanging above the bar. The menu features creative pub grub such as cheese boards, craft popcorn, dips, and hot dogs. While there isn't table service, the efficient bartenders ensure that guests have a great time.
Would you like an outstanding hot dog, solid beer selection, or great cocktail? This is your place. I was visiting from out of town and came here on a recommendation. The Korean hot dog was one of the best hot dogs I’ve ever had and I could have easily put away another 5 before realizing I flew too close to the sun.

Decent beer selection with a nice spot to hang outside in the summer. Pretzels come out hot and are very soft with the perfect amount of seasoning. Get the pickle seasoning if it's still available!

Really good hotdogs! Nice bar area. It wasn’t too busy and I like the dim lighting. This will be a great place to go for a casual bite

Public House in Knoxville gets a solid 5 stars from me. I've been coming here off and on for almost 10 years and have never gotten tired of it. The vibe is relaxed and artsy, with awesome artwork adding a cool, creative touch to the space. The beer cheese and pretzel are a must, rich, flavorful, and perfect for sharing. Drinks are strong and well-made, and there's a great variety to choose from whether you're into craft beer, cocktails, or something in between. The snack menu is surprisingly solid with plenty of good options. Service is friendly and quick without being pushy. The spacious outdoor area is also a huge plus, making it an ideal spot for larger groups. A standout spot all around.

Nice laid-back energy, lots of outdoor seating. The mocktails keep us coming back. We love having a "go out for a nice drink" experience but we don't drink alcohol, so being able to get lovely crafted mocktails is a treat.

Best laid back bar to hang with friends and talk. Friendly staff. No loud music. Great outdoor space. Beer and food are not the focus, but they are decent and support the vibe.

Our favorite cocktail bar in Knox. Laid back, no tvs blasting sports (a pro for us at least) and a vibey back porch. Staff always friendly. Nice process, good variety of drinks. Tasty non-alcoholic options! Snacks are good too.

Nestled in the charming Bearden neighborhood on Sutherland Ave., this delightful kombucha bar is a must-visit. With an inviting ambiance and a menu featuring their signature Frog Juice Kombucha alongside Mertails organic herbaceous elixirs, it’s perfect for health enthusiasts seeking something unique.
This is such a gem of place. Have traveled the country and this is the best kombucha of all. They have $10 growler fills on Fridays. Best deal in town. Haven't had a bad flavor and there are lots to try.

Loved my first visit to The Boocherie! The atmosphere is one of the best I’ve felt in Knoxville—warm, fun, and welcoming. The bartender was fantastic and helped me choose the perfect drink (#7 on the wall—wish I remembered the name!). Everything I tried was delicious. Can’t wait to go back!

The Secret Ingredient Isn't in the Drinks I walked into Frog Juice for the first time expecting a quiet, alternative bar. The space is cool, the drinks are creative, and the bartender was incredibly welcoming. That alone would be enough for a good review. But then you notice the real magic. It's not behind the bar; it's in the seats. Most businesses try to create a welcoming staff. Frog Juice has accomplished something far rarer and more powerful: they've architected a welcoming community. The other patrons don't just tolerate newcomers; they invite you into the conversation. The vibe isn't manufactured; it's the natural result of a space built on a foundation of genuine connection. This isn't just a place to get a great non-alcoholic drink. It's a platform for community, a hub for creators, and a blueprint for what a modern "third place" should feel like. If you're looking to connect with other builders in a space with real soul, this is it. - Raymond Lee, The Architect

After trying their kombucha at a couple little local places, I’d been meaning to make it over to this place for awhile! Finally made the time. In LOVE! Their kombucha is the best I’ve ever had. And it’s made locally?! How COOL. The location is a cute, cozy space. Lots of flavors/options! It is a teeny bit pricey compared to chain grocery store kombucha but who cares?! SUPPORT LOCAL! And support their mission! Definitely worth any price just for this and the superb quality. Will be back many times for growler refills!!!

A southern restaurant Tupelo Honey is a favorite spot for the Knoxville community. The casual atmosphere and dog-friendly seating make it the perfect place to share a meal with friends, or to take the dog for a walk. The menu features classic dishes like fried catfish and Southern-style fried chicken, as well as modern twists on old favorites.
I know this is a chain which is not my usual choice, but Tupelo Honey did not disappoint. The fried pickles were thin and crispy and ohhh so great. The Mayo Magi was served in a cast iron skillet so it stayed warm. The flavors were perfect, texture delicious. The rosemary crusted potatoes are a must try and the brussel sprouts were actually crispy….. and sinfully delicious. The Mindful Martinis were a surprisingly refreshing choice, We had to have 2!!! Location was perfect. It is right in the market district so if weather permits seatong outside allows for such a wonderful dining experience.

It was our first time here and the food was incredible! Flavorful and so yummy! The staff was fantastic. I can definitely see why this place has no less than an hour wait. Make sure to make a reservation ahead of time! I had the chicken and biscuits. We will definitely be back. Already planning our next girls trip

Food was super good. I got the sweet and spicy chicken & waffles and it was perfect! It came with a lot of chicken that was fried to perfection and very crispy. The waffles were fluffy and delicious. Whatever spicy siracha honey was on them was the perfect blend of sweet and flavorful. It wasn't actually that spicy at all though. Service was good and the location is super cool. I will say though, the tables were a little too close together for my liking and the restaurant was loud, making conversations difficult. Would recommend!

My mother and I arrived at Tupelo Honey slightly tipsy from our adventures at Alice and Appalachia (see my review for them). We were greeted by the absolute sunshine. A young woman with unnaturally colored yellow hair and guillotine necklace (I loved). She was just the sweetest kid. Anyway, first impression was awesome, we got seated and had a lovely server whose name I cannot remember but kind of looks like that Chef from the Bear show. Anyway, GREAT dinner. We didn't order apps or dessert but what we had we loved. Service was fast and we inhaled as we are the kind of ladies who Hoover our food when slightly tipsy. Just a wonderful time. Downtown was lovely and we walked everywhere. I didn't want to like this place as much as I did. Chains are usually not that great. Tupelo Honey is an exception to that rule. We will be back sometime soon!!!

The Tomato Head is a popular American cafe-bakery located in the Market Square area of Knoxville. The cozy dining room features local artwork for sale, and the menu offers a variety of light, hearty, and vegetarian options including sandwiches and pizza made with fresh-baked bread and locally sourced produce. Vegan and gluten-free choices are also available. Customers can customize their own pizzas or try the expert's recommendations, but either way, don't miss out on trying their house-made pesto.
I've been meaning to write a review, as Tomato Head remains my favorite place for lunch in downtown Knoxville. Any time I meet friends, I always suggest this place and that's where we end up going. Last week was no exception when I met up with a girlfriend and we came to Tomato Head for another delicious lunch. I love the variety of vegan and vegetarian dishes available for my friends who don't eat meat. My go to will always be the turkey melt sandwich even though today I also added the squash curry soup to my lunch. Everything was amazing. Our waitress told me that the owner was here today and I expressed a desire to meet her. And lo and behold, she made time to come out and chat with us. Mahasti, I am so glad that you took a chance and opened this place up 35 years ago! You have truly revitalized Market Square and hats off to you for never giving up!!

Visited on April 26, 2025 When we came, we were able to sit immediately. We were at a High Top outside. It was perfect for our group of 6 and dog. Our server was Emma. She was very attentive and friendly. Everyone was really friendly. The menu had plenty of options. I ordered a side ceasar and  the Smoked Salmon pizza with Garlic Oil + pesto base. I added feta and red onion. I did not get a picture, but the salad was okay. I asked for no mushrooms and when the salad came it had a bunch of black olives. I thought that was a little odd. The salad was also very small. Now to the pizza. When I tell you this pizza was absolutely DELICIOUS!!!!! I ordered a second one to go. It was that good!!! It taste so fresh and perfect. I did get a side of ranch. I assume it was made fresh, but it was watery. Wouldn't even stick on my food. Not good. My to go pizza was oddly a lot smaller than the one I had at the restaurant. I ordered a Margarita, but they said they were out of lime, so they made it with Strawberry. It wasn't very good. And it was only half way filled. I think the bartender had the measurements incorrect. Everyone in our party loved their pizza as well. My brother in law also ordered another to go. I would absolutely come back. Oh and they let me use their outlet to charge my phone. Also, I love Market Square. Such a cool vibe. I love the inclusivity of the area.

Came to spend a day in Knoxville and wander through stores and eat lunch. We found The Tomato Head restaurant and had lunch. He had the salmon and pesto pizza slice and a house salad. I ordered a calzone. Both were tasty but also typical. Will you get a good meal. Yes. Service good? Also yes. Nothing to rave about but clean and tasty.

Love the healthy and flavorful food options. Service was great! Nice patio dining on the square. I had the kepner melt, a greek salad, and the cleanse mocktail. My husband and I each had half the sandwich and shared the salad. We both loved it! Hoping I can recreate it at home since we don't live close by. Waitress was super attentive! Would love to go here more often. It will be a must next time I visit Knoxville.

Pizza is 9.4 light fluffy yet crispy crust.. Olive oil base 4cheese sub ricotta, garlic and oregano light char. Place is large, nice music but, plain/clean cut for the area and the quality of food. I'm only mentioning since Google asked. The art is a nice touch. Maybe more I don't know.

Stopped here on the way thru to Nashville due to the good reviews. We ordered the red pepper Air Head as an appetizer as recommended by our server, Ella. I’d never heard of something like this. Wow! It was blown up and the bread was chewy, light, and tasty! It had just a little bit of spice and marinara for dipping. I would’ve eaten one just for a meal! And the Marinara sauce was so vibrant and flavorful! We also shared the 4 cheese pizza. Omg! The cheeses just blended together so nicely and the hint of EVOO just put it over the top!! And the pizza crust had huge bubbles in it and it was so chewy and delicious!! Even the water was good! No hint of chlorine or any other weirdness you sometimes get with water. Ella was a great waitress! Very nice and helpful. We’ll definitely be back!! What an amazing place!!

My first time dining in and I was sat in someone’s section by the bar and I waited at least 10 minutes it seemed to be greeted. I didn’t even get my drink order taken. Okay, the first time here came to taste the ales and stayed for the meal. I ordered the steak ale medium rare, and it was perfectly. Tender , juicy, and full of flavor. Sister ordered the fish and chips, and they, too, were cooked to perfection. Definitely stepped up their game for a brewery. The service was great. I will definitely return in the future for the wonderful brew and the atmosphere. Not to mention the food.

The service was excellent! My husband had wings and loved them. I did get the pizza but it tasted off to me. But my husband tried it and it tasted fine to him. Food is good, but there are flies inside, and you constantly have to swat them away. I don't mind flies as long as they aren't on my food though. Also, the service was quick, came in around 10 minutes. The waiters are a bit hard to "flag down" as another reviewer said for a check, but it's ok. Overall good restaurant and our waitress was nice, apologized for mistakes. (Such as ordering the special, I forgot what it was called, something along the lines of Philly Steak. They said they didn't have it, but then came back and said they have it. My dad ate that, it looked good. My mother, we came to the place for her birthday, ate the California burger. I ate the cheeseburger.) If you want some simple burgers/steaks but not the bad ones at a fast food place I'd come here. Overall the place is fine, but I wouldn't give it five stars because of the flies.

Nestled in the heart of Knoxville on Gay Street, Knox Mason is a boutique restaurant known for its Southern charm and delectable cuisine. Chef Matt Gallaher draws inspiration from renowned chefs like Michael Sandoval, Thomas Keller, Grant Achatz, and Colicchio to create a menu that reflects modern sensibilities while staying true to Southern flavors. The restaurant prides itself on using seasonal and local ingredients sourced from nearby farms, vineyards, and breweries.
Creative menu. Delicious food. Attentive service. The deviled eggs were a great start. The Kilt greens salad was tasty with that piece of toast hiding underneath and a perfectly prepared egg on top. The crispy sweet chili chicken wings had a unique glaze. The Mississippi catfish sandwich was abundant with a large portion of fries. We will return.

First time try out the southern cuisine and I definitely picked the right place. Fresh pork rinds, crispy fried sweet chili chicken wings are great appetizers to go with the Bearded Iris homestyle IPA, low country shrimp and grit is to die for and as the chef who brought the food out, this dish is why he is working here. 5 star hands down. Smoky Springeemountain chicken and Cade's Cove sausage gumbo is just as tasty. Since it's in the old downtown Knoxville, we got to enjoy the night life on the street too from the 2nd floor balcony, including a Lamborghini.

Honestly pretty disappointed in Knox Mason. I’d passed it by for years and finally decided to make a reservation and stop in, due to a friend recommending it at one of her faves. It was just okay in my opinion. Idk if it was an off night or what. Cocktail was okay, nothing special. The menu is pretty small, which can be good if a restaurant does a few thing really well. Quality over quality, but I don’t really feel as though they do. I personally thought portion sizes were a bit small, for instance, mine said it came with sweet potato and honestly it was more of a garnish. My main dish was flavorless, or at least not as flavorful as I was expecting. It was juicy and tender though which was nice. My husband has the shrimp and grits which were pretty tasty. They have a super small beer selection on tap. If I had friends that were dying to go there I’d give it another shot otherwise, I’ll probably not go back on my own accord. Service was fine, we didn’t have to wait on our server or anything and the outdoor seating was nice. Honestly, I just wanted it to be better than it was.
Madison C — Google review
This is the first time we’ve gone to the new location. The menu is smaller than we expected. We had a burger and a chicken sandwich. The burger was good and fries were good. The chicken sandwich was twice fried I believe. The breading kept falling off, was greasy, and slightly burnt. Tasted like maybe it was fried in old oil. The ambiance is good! Service was great.

We stopped to grab a Guinness and some fish and chips before seeing Nickel Creek at the Tennessee Theatre. The restaurant is right beside the theatre, so it’s a great place to eat before seeing a show. The Bijou is also just down the street. The atmosphere was lively and there was a big crowd. It’s seat yourself, so if it’s crowded you may have to wait a bit for table. Our server was great even though he was very busy. Went to Clancy’s with some friends for a few drinks and had a great time overall. I ordered a pint of Guinness, which was served in a nonic glass instead of the classic Guinness pint—kind of a letdown, especially given how much Guinness memorabilia is on display throughout the place. Everyone else ordered different beers and enjoyed theirs. The service was excellent. Our waitress, Parker, was incredibly attentive and never let a glass go empty. The atmosphere was fun and relaxed—definitely a great spot to hang out. We also shared a couple of appetizers. The pretzels with beer cheese were tasty, with just the right amount of salt. The potato skins were the only miss—unfortunately, the cheese tasted more like something from a can. Overall, a really enjoyable experience with top-notch service. I’ll definitely be back!

Wonderful theater with very good acoustics. There is a parking g lot directly across the street. Cost is $12. There is a bar on the ground floor along with available restrooms. Highly recommend seeing a concert here.

Greek restaurant
Kefi, located in the Old City of Knoxville, offers a romantic dining experience and also provides takeout options. The restaurant aims to bring Mediterranean culture to downtown Knoxville through its freshly made Greek dishes. The menu includes gluten-free and vegetarian options, such as the Baba Ghanooj and sharing plates like garides and fatayer.
I visited Kefi last night and had a wonderful experience overall. The food was absolutely fantastic – every dish we tried was full of flavor and expertly prepared. Our waitress was also amazing, providing attentive and friendly service throughout our meal. We had tried calling ahead a couple of times to let them know we were running a bit late, and no one would answer the phone which was a bit frustrating. However, this didn't take away from the overall experience. The drinks were also a fun addition to the evening – creative and well-made. While the prices were a bit on the higher side, I would definitely return because of the high-quality food and great ambiance. Highly recommend!

Kefi is always amazing. Took myself out for a nice solo dinner. I did not make a reservation, and I immediately sat at the bar, but was offered a table if I wanted it- also immediately available upon arrival. Bartender was amazing and had great suggestions. I did a cocktail flight and then ordered one additional drink towards the end of my meal. Saganaki was both amazing and entertaining, can't go wrong with melty cheese and buttery bread! The grilled octopus was to die for, some of the best I've ever had- charred to perfection, and the lemon sauce on the beans it comes with was perfection. I ordered the sea bass entree, and it melted in my mouth. Not pictured, I was talked into taking the baklava (2 large pieces, perfect for sharing) with pistachio ice cream home, and it was exquisite! Wonderful Grecian atmosphere, super friendly and knowledgeable staff, always one of my favorite places to visit to treat myself. Will definitely be back the next time I need a "me" date!

Came across this restaurant on Instagram and had to give it a try. It’s very intimate and perfect for our date night. Food options were great! We had a fun time picking out some dishes and sharing. Server was helpful and ensured we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. We will definitely be back!

Great place for dining. Had first experience with Lebanese cuisine and wasn’t disappointed. Book before going if you can. Parking is across the street.

My fiancé and I dined here for our three year anniversary in July, and between the cozy atmosphere, caution taken with my food allergy (gluten free), and a variety of drink options, it was the perfect surprise. Cherry on top? Besides the amazing service, I had the best flourless chocolate cake for dessert--which is extremely hard to find since they're normally bone dry. It's easy to rack up a bill (happily), so it'll be a special occasion spot, but can't wait to dine here again.

I’ve been to Kefi several times and have never been disappointed. I’ve ordered appetizers at the bar, to-go, and enjoyed a relaxing dining experience in the restaurant. My absolute favorite is still the muhamara dip.

Great good (as a fellow Mediterranean) and great service! We also appreciated the seating wasn't so close together like a lot of the other restaurants. We will definitely be back again, thank you!!

The brewery's taproom, known as The Great Hall, can accommodate up to 80 people and offers a selection of 20 beers on tap. Additionally, the spacious Biergarten outside has seating for 200 guests and hosts live music and other events.
Great beer selection. Great German bar food. Indoor and outdoor area. Parking can be tricky. They have large screen for sporting events. Occasionally will host medieval style sword fights.

Wow is all I can say!!!! The food was 🔥🔥🔥, the beer selection 🍺 was award winning and vast, and the staff were amazing 🤩. My wife and I were in town on business and discovered Schulz's on Google. We knew immediately we much checkout this establishment and it was amazing. Everything was great. They are much better than their 4.6 ⭐ Google rating. If you get a chance you have to eat 🍴and drink 🍻 here!

Went in for lunch and found the place a bit confusing. Went to the bar to inquire about food and kind of got ignored. Went down to get the bartenders attention that were talking at the end of the bar. They basically said, "go outside and order" and went back to talking. You basically have to get your beer then go to another line and get food. Got a bit irritated so I just had a very good beer and went somewhere else to eat. Can't deny the quality of the beer but they need a bit more in the customer service department. The atmosphere is cool and I still would reccomend a visit. Norhing better than a cold German beer on a hot day.

Great place. Found it I my first trip to Knoxville last summer and had to return on my second second trip this week. Fantastic German style beer, traditional German food (not quite as good as the beer but still good) plus pizza and a tremendous Biergarten with two giant projection TVs. On my first trip I happened to be here for a Tennessee v FL State college World Series game. It was packed and it was almost as good as being at the game.

Ambiance: German Biergarten with a dining hall featuring amazing beers, ciders, & more! I loved how festive & decorative the space was. They have long tables inside & out perfect for accommodating large groups. Dog friendly! Fun merch available, friendly service. The apple cider I had was one of the best. My husband and I love curry wurst - we had it for the first time in Berlin and have tried to find a similar quality back in the states to no avail. That is until we tried Schulz Bräu! The best curry wurst we have had outside of Berlin! We also loved the schnitzel and fries. Street parking available. Great spot for Oktoberfest or getting your favorite German beers/food. Highly recommend!

Went here for the 1st time after the ETSU game and wow! Have always enjoyed German good and culture and this place had it all. Gorgeous outside area with games on, plenty of sitting and a big stage with live music. The beer selection is amazing and theyre own in house beer is absolutely amazing. I love Blue Moon and they had one that was just like it but better. Food wise I had the bratwurst no kraut with German potato salad. Brat was grilled on an open flame grill and the bun was warm and fresh. Will definitely be back for games, live music and of course the beer and food!!

Well, if you are vegetarian or Vegan in the Knoxville area you need to check out Schultz Brau Brewing! They have two vegan desserts and a Beyond Brat that was delicious and the beer is delicious 😋

My husband and I had never been here, and we live in Knox county. I am glad we went there this afternoon and evening and we enjoyed the food beer and atmosphere. Now that we know they are there. We definitely will be back. We love everything about this place. I personally think that if you are doing a German atmosphere then maybe have German music or something of German. Anyway it was a great experience. Thank you and have a blessed day

Abridged Beer Company is a lively brewpub housed in a former 1950s auto garage, offering ample outdoor seating and a welcoming atmosphere. Located in the Bearden neighborhood, this popular spot is known for its Southern-inspired pub fare such as pot roast nachos, fried green tomato BLTs, and buttermilk-maple fried chicken.
Great food, great location and easy to find. They offered a wide variety on the menu. Lots of outdoor seating and very nicely played out. The brewery is in the same room as the seating. Parking available at the church next door and a sidewalk available for ease. Great friendly service. The marsala chai kombucha was delicious!

Love the fried green tomato blt and the soft pretzel with hot pimento cheese. The beers were tastey and I especially enjoyed their tart, oak aged sours. Very kid friendly with a lawn to run and play. Just keep an eye of your kiddo since the lawn is close to a road.

This would have been a 5-star review, but the way the manager handled our simple request brought the experience down a notch. As you can see in the photo, we were originally seated at a table with the umbrella down, which made the seating situation quite awkward. We politely asked if the umbrella could either be put up or removed, as the surrounding tables all had theirs adjusted in one way or another. The server came back and said the manager's answer was "no," with no explanation. That felt unnecessarily rigid, especially since it seemed like a small and reasonable request. We then asked to be moved to another table, which thankfully was accommodated. Despite the rocky start, the food and drinks definitely helped redeem the experience. The burger and fries were absolutely top-notch. The wings were decent but nothing special and we might skip those next time. Overall, it’s a nice spot to grab some good food and drinks, but the initial service left something to be desired.
Andrew M — Google review
It was a nice place inside. I waited over 45 minutes for my food just to get a burger almost completely raw. I appreciate them taking accountability and giving us our refund but I will not be returning. I was disappointed considering this place had good reviews.

The Abridge Burger is the best burger I've ever tasted with a subtle hint of heat. The beers here are fantastic. Highly recommend a flight of beers to enjoy. We sat outside with our dog and they brought him water.

Probably the best food I have ever had cheese burgers are amazing! As well as the pork roast nachos they layer them so it's not just all on top. The salad was delicious it tasted like they charcoaled it added amazing flavor to it! (Restaurant correct me if I'm wrong) Servers are good with the drinks Thanks y'all! Amazing staff and amazing food!!!

The food here was absolutely fantastic! I got a chicken club, and opted for asparagus instead of fries. Man was that a great decision. The asparagus was cooked to perfection! I also recommend the nachos with pot roast. Different and delicious! Also, don’t forget about the beer. Come down and grab yourself a flight or a pint.
Rick B — Google review
You can get a side of asparagus and peppers for $1 more than fries so I opted to upgrade. They accidentally brought me fries instead of my asparagus when my order came so they brought me my asparagus on the side. The burger is small but mighty. It is very compact and flavorful. I got a cheeseburger with cheddar instead of white American cheese that is comes with. I the only thing I would improve would be to make my burger a little wider instead of taller so it was a bite of bun with burger instead of having an extra half inch of burger bun left when I was done. Otherwise the burger was juicy and delicious. The fries were good with seasoning on them. I like crispy fries so I liked these. The asparagus was super fresh off the grill and yummy too. Looked like they may have some outdoor stuff like corn hole (bean bag toss) when the weather is nicer. Will have to bring the kids when the weather gets better. I was cold outside but my husband thought it was great in a T-shirt and jeans. I had to get a blanket from the car and I was still cold. I probably should have just sat inside haha.

I’ve been coming to this brewery since I first moved to South Knoxville 7 years ago. It’s been a staple in South Knox for a good reason. From their ample selection of good beers (my husband loves their Kolsch) to their large outdoor patio space (fire pits, string lights, and tons of picnic tables), it is a great place to come and hang. This used to be our soccer bar but that’s since moved. However, that doesn’t stop us from coming by. The staff are super friendly and always are welcoming. Dog friendly indoors and outside, which makes this one of the few places you can bring your dog even on bad weather days. If you only have one weekend to check out Knoxville, this is a must visit!

Love this spot. It’s the plants in the second room that sold the place to me. Staff were friendly. I was given a few tasters before ordering a draft - good selection. Seems like a popular place with locals. Lots of cool soccer decor.

Nestled in the heart of Knoxville, The Drawing Room restaurant and bar is a culinary gem that showcases the best of Southern cuisine paired with an impressive selection of Tennessee whiskey. This inviting eatery offers a delightful brunch experience, where guests can savor locally sourced dishes in a warm atmosphere. While one might encounter minor hiccups—like overly salty roasted vegetables—the overall dining experience shines brightly.
A great little hidden spot in the split hotel, which is very convenient beside the convention center and sun sphere. I really loved the vibe of this little restaurant. The bartender was amazing. I met a couple travelers while I was there and the woman beside me had soup which looked delicious. I went in for a drink which was made very well. So good! There was plenty of seats at the bar and tvs up on the wall, so i'm guessing a good place to watch a game. There's a lot of different options for food and drinks.

I took my visiting parents and grandparents here in hopes of a fine dining experience. We quickly realized that it was more of a lounge and not a sit down restaurant for a party of 5+. However, Josh and the rest of the team immediately came to our rescue, and was able to get us set up at a table and went above and beyond with special touches. I cannot get over how well everyone did in making us feel so special. They are truly the top of the line in terms of Hospitality individuals. Outstanding experience, and I would love to be back in the future with more local visitors.

Brought the wife here for Mother's Day after finding it on a googled list of "Nice Restaurants Knoxville." 1. It is in a Hotel, a nice hotel (In my opinion) It is more of a bar than a restaurant. 2. Josh was our server/bartender and it was busy and he was understaffed and he was great. Honestly made the experience for us. Would come back.
David G — Google review
I used to love this place. Great food, excellent service, wonderful staff including the manager. 1) they took away the tenderloin tips. Best item on the menu for an excellent value. From here it seemed to careen sharply downhill. 2) the best bartender (at the time) was allowed to leave. 3) the best manager was allowed to leave. Someone who could light up a room and knew everyone by name. Someone who could make every experience amazing. 4) the whole staff has been allowed to turn over. Any establishment is only as great as the team that makes it. Real leaders would always take care of their people and would never allow them to feel anything less than total care. Businesses are only truly successful from the guests they accommodate to return time and time again. 5) management has changed all the furniture and removed the lounge feel. Now it’s like the breakfast room in a Marriott branded hotel. I’m not sure how the residents aren’t leaving over this.

We stopped at the Drawing Room for drinks after returning to the hotel after a wedding. We had 8 people when we first arrived, and we quickly grew to 17 people. Our bartender Lucas was Fantastic. He happily made specialty cocktails for many people in our party, and his service and attention was great. He even agreed to allow us to continue our fun evening well past when he should have left. He made us feel extremely welcome.

I brought my company to an event in the convention center. My director of operations suggested we have a drink here. So I have 20 folks coming here to get a few drinks my treat. My son (of age) who has terrible food allergies came with a bag of outside food. He was ask to leave. So I took my folks to a place that appreciated the high bar tab. I will never visit here again

I’ve been coming here for years and have always enjoyed it, but the recent changes are not good at all. It’s gone from feeling like a more upscale lounge to the look and feel of a cheap courtyard inn lobby. Management must be totally incompetent to either (A) think this was a good idea or (B) allow it to happen. Please change this back before your reputation is totally ruined.

Urban Bar & Corner Cafe is a laid-back hangout in the Old City of Knoxville, known for its smoker-friendly atmosphere and catering to service industry workers. The bar offers draft beers, pub grub, and daily drink specials. With features like a game room, patio seating, pool tables, and video games, it's a popular spot for enjoying casual drinks with friends. The ambiance is relaxed with exposed brick and carpeted floors while also offering conveniences like a digital jukebox.
I cannot say enough good things about this place. My wife and I came here for a simple game of pool, our plan was to go to Gypsy Tap House afterward for food and Ale. However, the atmosphere, friendly vibes and all around awesome establishment trapped us here, much to our Delight. We got the chicken wings, while not Wingstop or other Eatery specific perfection they were good. This was a perfect bar/ pool hall atmosphere. With a Cool vibe and awesome staff. And do not think that my criticism of the food is a disparity, in fact it was more than adequate. We look forward to many more visits for games of pool, good food and good service at this awesome establishment. It was just blocksaway from the old city but held none of that smarmy vibe. An all-around good place that I would advise to anyone who's looking for a good bar, good game of pool, some good food and good vibes.

Drinks were fantastic, but the woman bartendering the other night was quite rude for some reason. I ordered a dirty martini, she proceeded to roll her eyes and scoff at me, then she never came over for me to order from her again, passed me up twice. I understand having a bad day and especially being tired if its a busy night, but why take it out on me when I'm just trying to enjoy my night? The drinks and food were great though, genuinely!

Urban Bar & Corner Cafe is a classic dive bar. Indifferent and aloof bartenders, indoor smoking, and greasy, cheap food. I’ll cherish it always as my friends and I’s home away from home. Nowhere else can I order a mediocre double vodka martini for $9. Nowhere else can I be laughed at for asking a bartender if the kitchen has parmesan for the french fries. Do I smoke? No! I hate both cigarettes and indoor smoking. But I love Urban, and I’ll spend the rest of my life missing it.

My friend and I had dinner and drinks here and we had a great time. A big part of why I am writing this review is because of the great service from our server Denise. We were seated on a nice patio and Denise came to our table right away. When we asked for menus Denise brought us our menus AND water without being asked; my mother always said that is a sign of a good restaurant. She took our drink order and when she was leaving I realized I forgot to tell her I don’t like ice in my drink so I said it real quick as she was leaving. She was basically gone so I figured she didn’t hear me, no biggie. I was pleasantly surprised that she had heard me and got both of our drinks perfect! The food was excellent and served relatively quick, good job kitchen staff! Denise came to our table very soon after bringing the food to make sure everything was good, another sign of a good restaurant. Denise came back to the table a couple more times and was very attentive, personable, quick and efficient. She is an overall exemplary employee. Thanx for the great food Urban Bar and the excellent service from Denise!

Nestled in the heart of Knoxville, the Corner Lounge is a charming bar that invites you to step back in time. Reopened in 2018 by friends Steve Brandon and John Harbison, this historic establishment has been serving patrons since just after Prohibition. With its cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and a small stage for live music or karaoke nights, it’s the perfect spot to unwind with a drink.
Hi from Nashville, this is a great place to go if you enjoy rock and roll, and heavy metal. Surprisingly peaceful and very calm patrons. Plenty of chairs to sit and enjoy a fairly priced snack. Bar keeps were very friendly. Seem generous with their shots as well. Beer was to the brim. Smoked porch on back or side, I don't know it's at a corner. For someone who's not comfortable with crowds I highly advise this place. Everyone was very friendly.

I work as security across the street from The Corner Lounge and was planning on going in to grab lunch. Despise me going in there plenty of times before with no issue as soon as I walk in the bartender Justin) immediately told me to leave in one of the most rude ways possible (could have at least been a little nice about it) because I have a gun on me. Despite TCA allowing me to be in there armed as long as ! don't plan on consuming alcohol if he didn't want me there he could have been a bit nicer about it. I have assisted them plenty of times with homeless people sleeping around their business in the mornings and I can tell you right now I will no longer assist them.

Kind of rough, kind of cool “beer garden” in the Bearden area of Kingston Pike. Sort of a unique joint in town. Not exactly the epitome of an ideal beer garden, but also kind of a cool place to hang outside and drink some beers in a very casual setting. Not as much seating as there could be, but there are some tables and stools undercover on one side with a few TVs. I could see how this place would be fun to hang out with a bunch of friends or if it was a lot busier, but otherwise not much to keep you here beyond a beer or two. Didn’t appear to have much parking.

We would definitely be back!

Planned first stop in arrival in town scoping out the area. Really good selection of their own beverages as well as some other local breweries. The bartender was something of a beer-o-logist in that she mixes some of the different types and flavors to arrive at something totally unique. But only if you're down for that sort of thing. Unfortunately, I didn't get back a second day to pick up some hard to find items to go. Maybe next time.

Incredible beer market with the most versatile outdoor area in Bearden/Knoxville! It has both a covered and open air section, a huge fire pit, food window for delicious bites, insulation in the winter, is very dog friendly, etc etc. If you like beer, you’ll love this place! Stop in and see Cody for all of the highest rated cans/bottles and tap selections! He’s an absolute guru with a massive selection to boot. Brewery
Pretentious Beer Co. is a unique and innovative craft beer bar located in the historic Old City, offering a one-of-a-kind experience by combining a working glass blowing studio with a taproom. The taproom features an airy atmosphere and serves a rotating selection of craft beers in striking hand-blown glassware. While they are currently not brewing their own beer, they offer kombucha, handmade sodas, and a variety of local brews from other breweries.
Yes yes yes yes and 100x YES! Such an awesome local brewery in Downtown! Great vibes, great beer. Love the partnership with next-door neighbor Pretentious Glass Co. — do not miss the gorgeous hand blown glass taps!!!! They even have some for sale! Awesome atmosphere and great outdoor patio space. Will be back!!!

Beer selection is good and it has a very pleasant environment. Bartender did not seem to notice me even though I’m 6’4 and quite striking but I’ll get over it. The couple next to seemed to express the same sentiment on the service. I’ll give the place another shot someday and revise, but for now I’ll say if you come don’t expect great service.

Had an awesome experience at this brewery! This was one of the two breweries I went to in Knoxville and the beer was excellent! I had the Italian Pilsner and a Brown ale I believe. The bartender and patrons were also real fun to talk with and friendly. I really love the charming atmosphere of this old brewery and this is definitely not the kind of brewery I would see in Charlotte (where I live), so was a real experience drinking in an old historic looking building in the Old City.

Beers are great and glasses are beautiful. We drove all the way here just to taste the beer. I have been drooling over the beautiful glasses on Instagram for years and wanted to see what beers inspired their unique look. The beer tender was laid back and very friendly. He was extremely knowledgeable about the beer and the glasses. He recommended beers that were delicious and it was a great time. We will definitely go back when we have more time to spend and when the glass shop is open. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Located in the charming South Knoxville neighborhood, Trailhead Beer Market is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts and beer lovers alike. Positioned near the Urban Wilderness trails, it's an ideal spot to unwind with a cold craft beer after a day of adventure. The taproom features a spacious outdoor patio where families, including kids and dogs, can gather and enjoy regional craft beers alongside rotating food trucks.
A great place to grab a beer. Other patrons were friendly and it's very dog friendly. Not just beer, pretty much a full service bar. They also had a vendor selling pizza.

This weekend was our first time here and it definitely won't be our last! We LOVED the vibe and all the four-legged friends we made. Dillon was a wonderful bartender, and the food truck was delicious. Not to mention, a sauna at a beer market?!? ..Yes, please!
Aften C — Google review
Trailhead is a fantastic local watering hole with one of the best food trucks in town, El Gato Peligroso, on site. I am never disappointed with the selection of beers served up by the friendly bartenders. Drop in on the right night and you will also be treated to some live music on the shaded patio. This is a 5 star review for a beer garden, so keep that in mind. Call your friends, bring the dog, and get there soon before they run out of salmon!
Miller C — Google review
Always a good place to hang out. Whether in or outdoors. They have the best bar staff and my favorite patio in Knoxville. There's usually a good food truck option OR you can literally bring anything you want and cook it on their grill for free. How cool is that? The beer is always changing, but anything you see on the sales floor is available behind the bar, too.
Ben M — Google review
I so want to give 5/5 - but in two eating experiences the food was oversalted (or unevenly salted like left / right side of a fry) so I wanted to share that feedback! The menu items are 11/10, creative, flavorful, on point! I just hope they hear this feedback and dial back the salt like 20-25% :) We will be back!
Keeton R — Google review
This local Southside bar is refreshingly unpretentious. You can sit outside, just remember to bring some bug spray during the summer months. The real highlight here is the El Gato Peligroso food truck – they serve up, without a doubt, the best hamburgers in Knoxville!

Great atmosphere, great beer and great people. Good place to stop after a bike or run at ijams. Thursday night trivia is always a hit. Typically has a food truck to provide you with a delicious treats to pair with your beer of choice.

Nice selection of beer, had a few boardgames for the kiddos - we were expecting them to have juice and snacks - because their website says they have juice and snacks - but they were out. They did say we should feel free to bring anything we wanted to eat or drink (I'm assuming other than beer) Friendly staff.

Whether you're enjoying a cold beer on a warm summer night or gathering around the fire pit during cooler evenings, this spot has something for everyone.
I really appreciate a great vibe. This place has it. Old school, cozy, friendly and free. Loved everything about it! The bartender catered directly to my indecision in beer choices by giving samples. I was able to fall in love with some tasty new to me beer! Cheers to more fun at the BDT!

Do better. I used to go to this place several years ago. So I thought to take some friends there yesterday 3/25/23. I was dissatisfied, ignored by the bartender. while she and apparently the manager and his friends had a loud conversation about another employee. It was rude, negative and talking about someone else being incompetent , while ignoring patrons is very annoying. It was not busy at all.

Club XYZ is a popular gay nightclub located in the Happy Holler Historic District, just a short drive from downtown. It's known for its cozy atmosphere and tends to attract a mostly male crowd, including many university students. The club offers an array of entertainment such as karaoke, drag performances, and the annual 'Night of 1000 Dollys' Dolly Parton impersonation show.
Bit of a small place but the atmosphere was great. The bar staff was friendly and quick. Great drag show while we were there .

Limited menu but not bad for a club scene. Pizzas and basic bar fried food and Chips and cheese. Fun atmosphere depending on what you're looking for. Trivia Monday and Tuesday nights followed by DJ dance music. Karaoke Wednesday and Sunday. Shows Thursday through Saturday. They've been working on improving certain aspects for customer experience.

If you want a drink expect to wait 20 minutes. The music is terrible and there is no variety. The only time anyone dances is when Bad Bunny comes on because that is the only good thing they play.

First time visiting with a coworker for their 21st birthday. It was nice. The greeters were nice and engaging. Drinks were top notch. Feeling nice, nice after two of those Blue drinks. People were nice. Good vibes!!!
Brianna H — Google review
I've been to several clubs and bars around the area and never have I ever had trouble with the bar service itself. It was very packed tight the bar area was super crowded and nobody rotated once they got their drinks. The bar tenders themselves were quite rude. My friends and I waited a good 45 minutes just for a simple cocktail while other people who've gotten their at the same time got their drinks in less than ten minutes. That's quite ridiculous in my opinion. My partner also saw one of the buss boys talk to the bartender and point at us and we think that's why they didn't serve us for so long because the buss boy said we were in the way so we moved to a better spot at the bar and we apologized and still didn't get serviced while everyone around us was also doing the same thing. The cocktails also tasted very watered down I've had three and didn't even get a buzz. The bar tenders also didn't look very happy. The atmosphere was decent I was able to get to the front and watch the drag show but beware people will get in front of you even if you were there first. I personally don't plan on going back there for a while.

Fly by Night is a vibrant new bar that transports you straight to the 1970s with its eclectic decor and nostalgic ambiance. From the dazzling disco ball to charming porcelain cats, every detail exudes retro charm. The menu features a delightful selection of classic cocktails from the era, including dirty martinis and grasshoppers, all reimagined for modern palates. This unique venue not only offers an inviting lounge area adorned with custom wallpaper but also plays VHS tapes for that authentic throwback feel.
One of the coolest themed bars you'll find in Knoxville. A very very 70's vibe, espec with the disco balls and retro decor. Crazy fun drinks menu. Food was good, a little on the light side. Service was excellent and yes, I'll be back!
Gary R — Google review
Fly By Night hosted a private party for me and the experience was exceptional! Two (!) ladies kept a very tight ship managing the place with open bar for just over 100 people for 4 hours. They went out of their way to make a special drink for the crowd without my even asking. Every request I had (microphone, sound system, moving tables for food, scheduling, etc.) were met without an ounce of hesitation or lag in response time. I would highly recommend this place for hosting a party for a special occasion. Exceptional!!! Many thanks!
Zach W — Google review
Loved this place even more than I thought I would! I expected a fun time and Fly by Night delivered and then some. The staff can shake a mean cocktail and the inviting, relaxed atmosphere made us want to stick around awhile. The throwback music and open space will make you want to linger and order another round. The furniture and chatchke from the past called up sweet memories and got our group strolling down memory lane and sharing stories. Looking forward to going back soon!

If you're looking to step back in time but keep modern service standards, this is the place! You'll find delightful decor, delicious drinks, and tasty bar treats (like a shockingly well-priced cheese board). While the "Rusty Nail" was more of a Scotch Old Fashioned, it was still a solid offering.

There is absolutely nowhere else like Fly By Night in Knoxville. The love dedicated to the craft and design of the drinks, music, and decor is incredible. Everything here is extremely relaxed and very exclusive to 70s aesthetic. The owners and staff are also very friendly and really help amplify the energy. Keep that disco ball spinnin' : )

Love the vibe, service, and music! Gives me such nostalgia. Love the little touches like TV trays, antique TV, and quilt over the couch! The bartender was very helpful. I really liked the studio cocktail with glitter. The LIT was strong and needed more fruity touches. The Harvey frozen drink tasted like medicine. Great prices and I think you really need to know what drinks suite your taste. Free parking next door and down a few blocks. Will give it another try for sure!
Chelsea J — Google review
Vibe is spot on! Drinks are creative, tasty, and about on par for price. Servers are fantastic! The place is set up nicely for conversation with three different spots for small groups to gather, but it's way too damn loud to actually hear anybody. We asked for the volume to be turned down twice, and I think they actually did once, for a minute or two, then turned it right back up. If you're going to take the time to set up places for people to get off their phones and have conversations -- you should turn the damn music down so they can actually hear each other.

Additionally, the center hosts special events, lectures, and workshops providing insights into the area's compelling history.
Such a well put-together museum that captures the exciting history of the region throughout its various eras. Special collection of literature is wonderful as well.

Good overall displays and commentary on the history of East Tennessee. The "play area" was great for a 1.5 year old and I'm sure other younger age groups. Some displays were empty due to maintenance or updating as this is likely a slow season. Some description of artifacts didn't seem to align with the artifacts directly above them. Out of town family enjoyed the self tour and was overall a good experience. The staff is friendly and informative.

ETHC is a staple of Knoxville. They hold history and archival materials in one location. Whether you are a tourist or a local, you’ve got to check it out. Their museum rivals Smithsonian-level quality and they even have a portion that rotates with a theme. Really a fantastic little Museum, very well organized, not overwhelming, you can get through it in about 45 minutes so you don't start to phase out. A lot of interesting information and displays, definitely learned a few new things. Admission was 10 bucks which I think is reasonable. Only issue for me was all the audio displays were not functioning unfortunately. Would have liked to have heard some of the dialects and a few other facts offered through audio. By the way if you have any history in the area, I highly recommend going up to the third floor archives, they are extensive and the reference people are very helpful.

The gallery was very nice inside. However, some of what is considered "art" nowadays looks more like something my grandkids would create with their fingers and condiments from their lunch. Balter Beerworks is a trendy taproom located in Knoxville, which offers a spacious backyard and serves up Mexican and Southern-inspired cuisine alongside a variety of draft beers. The brewery was established by a group of friends who initially started brewing in a garage before transforming an old gas station into the stylish restaurant and brewery it is today. Brewmaster Will Rutemeyer curates a diverse selection of beers with no flagship styles, ensuring patrons can always expect something new alongside their favorite brews.
what a great craft beer find in Knoxville! we were staying downtown, so it was only about a 10 minute walk up Henley Street to this place. Great vibe, very very friendly staff. We sat at the bar where Emma, Kaylee and Lexi took great care of us. The beer is top notch, I also tried their Mojito with house-pressed sugarcane juice, which was fantastic. The food didn’t disappoint either, loved the tuna avocado dip, the chicken sliders, and the smash-style burger. Loved this place so much we went back the next day. Some of the best food and beer we had while we were in Knoxville.

Seated quickly, waitress was friendly and quick to our table with drinks, food came out hot and fresh, salad lettuce was cold and crisp. Wonderful meal on the patio. Beautiful atmosphere in downtown Knoxville. Only complaint is the meat in the lettuce wraps was questionable. It looked like all the gross pieces I take out of chicken when I shred it at home. However, flavor was excellent. Regardless, I would eat here if we ever have the chance to visit Knoxville again. I also felt it was very reasonably priced for the portion sizes.

After a 9-hour drive, all I wanted was a solid meal and a cold beer. Like Johnny on the Spot, Balter Beerworks delivered. The atmosphere was exactly what I needed—your classic bar setup with high tops, tables, and a slight industrial vibe. It was too hot to sit outside during our visit, but they’ve got a great-looking patio I’ll definitely be back for when the weather cools down. I started with the Sunsphere wheat beer—yuuuum. Light and crisp with a bold citrus finish. If you're into wheat beers, this one hits. So good I ordered a second without hesitation. For food, we went with the Ranchero Chicken and the Brewhouse Burger. Both were full of flavor and cooked perfectly—no corners cut. We’d happily order them again, though with so many tempting options on the menu, we’ll likely branch out next time. I don’t hand out 5-star reviews often—especially not for bar-style spots—but if I did, Balter Beerworks would be right up there. Check it out, and thank me later.

I really wish I could accurately describe how amazing our experience here was. I looked up brunch in Knoxville and saw a travel blogger write about this place. She said the only thing better than their food was their service and I couldn’t agree more. From the moment Chris walked up to our table, it was like talking to a friend. He never once made us feel rushed and engaged in conversation like we were his only table. Everything we ordered was amazing. Avocado toast bites, fish tacos, breakfast burrito, Benedict, chicken and waffles, Bloody Mary, and Beermosa. We had the greatest experience here and look forward to going back in the future!

Boyfriend and I came here for a little anniversary dinner, had never tried it before but was very excited. We ordered a pretzel as an appetizer and it was delicious, finished the whole thing in 10 minutes! Only downside was queso was 4 dollars and was not told it was an upcharge. We then got our food a short while after, as well as two beers. Best burger I've had in a long time, and the mac and cheese was so yummy I scraped the bowl clean. My boyfriend loved his fish tacos too! Would definitely go again!

Clarence Brown Theatre, located at the University of Tennessee campus, is a futuristic 574-seat proscenium theatre dedicated to distinguished film director and university alumnus Clarence Brown. It features vast collections of costumes, exhibitions, as well as light, sound, and scene shops. This cultural gem has been a touchstone for the region since 1970 and offers a taste of Broadway with contemporary and classic productions.
The show was great. Construction going on around, but they did their best to make it easy to get around. Had a golf cart to take people around the building. Inside had been remodeled since I was there last. Very nice.

The Clarence Brown theater sits on the University of Tennessee campus. There are directional signs to lead you to the free parking lot, and then more signs to lead you to the theater. If you have mobility issues, I do not recommend parking at the provided space. There are many steps to climb. The theater has been kept in good condition. The steps to the auditorium are very nice, with hand rails. The seats are comfortable, and there is room for your legs in the aisleway. The actors and actresses, in "The Play That Goes Wrong," gave an outstanding performance!

Barley's Taproom and Pizzeria is a must-visit spot in Knoxville, known for its extensive selection of craft brews, delicious pub grub, and live music performances featuring local bands across various genres. Situated in the heart of Knoxville's Old City, this venue offers gourmet pizzas in a casual and inviting atmosphere. With monthly events filled with live music and entertainment, Barley's Taproom is a vibrant contributor to the city's entertainment scene.
Great place to play pool. The pool room upstairs does not open the same time as the resturant. The drinks are nice and strong. The pizza was great and the homemade crush was delicious. We Jerk Chicken pizza with artichokes on it and some of the artichoke pieces were tough and unbeatable. We also got chips and queso. We dipped our pizza crust in the queso and ate it. The pool tables are $8/hr. They also have their own free parking lot on the side of the building.

Four of us went to Barley's Tap Room to see the singer Sunny Sweeney. The bar is very nice. The décor is rustic. It's like an old warehouse. There's a good selection of liquor. The pizza is fantastic! The acoustics for a live band are not too good. We were sat at the very last table in the back of the bar. We could hear the instruments, but we could not hear the singer. Overall, we do plan to come back again, especially for the pizza.

Great down town location and near the new smokies stadium. Good food. Their specialty is pizza. Before planning, know that the pizza is made from scratch each order so allow 30 minutes wait on top of your eating time if you have other plans. Their is plenty of parking around but aware it is pay to park.

Came here to try the pizza and beer. In my opinion the beer selection was poor and the pizza was just so so. Especially if you're going to charge me $30 for a pizza. We are hard on pizza and food so don't take my review as your review and go try it yourself. Seems like the pizza crust was made the night before the pizza did not come out hot. We will probably give it another try but try something else other than the pizza. But again for a place that claims to have the most TAPS in all of Knoxville the beer selection was poor. I'm giving it four stars because I love the building.

Anika was truly outstanding from the moment we sat down. She greeted us with a warm smile and immediately made us feel welcome. Throughout the entire meal, she was attentive, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Her recommendations were spot-on — every dish she suggested was delicious! What really stood out was how genuine and kind she was; she anticipated what we needed before we even had to ask and made the whole experience feel effortless. Thanks to Anika, our evening was smooth, enjoyable, and memorable. We’ll definitely be asking for her next time we visit!

We went to have lunch and listen to the live music. The live music is only on Friday (radio show promoters fault, no this establishment). We stayed for lunch and had a great pizza. Service attentive but not hovering. Tables, floors, restrooms all clean. The only fault is the diet Pepsi was completely flat, not one bubble of carbonation (bartender needs to adjust the soda gun). Not big deal as server replaced with a slightly better regular soda. Not her fault but somebody should notice, I dont like flat soda or beer. Parking is ten bucks but that's downtown for everyone. Other patrons were taking and enjoying their food. Overall, a good place to hangout, get some chow, or meet up with friends.

This place has a little bit of everything to offer you while you visit. Great crunchy pizza with the good kind of cheese, Phenomenal service from the staff, live music, hops/brews, and games. Went on Thursday night when it wasn’t too busy yet and parking was easy. This is somewhere I would come to again and again in a social gathering or by myself since the environment overall was very comforting. 10/10 visit

If I could give 0 stars I would. WARNING TO FELLOW SERVICE INDUSTRY WOMEN. Maybe some of the male bartenders are misogynistic. I’ve been multiple times and have received the same amount of ire of my presence at the bar. Tonight took the cake. As a bartender of a decade I typically tip 30-50% of the total because I know the industry. Yet every time I am serviced at the bar I am treated like they assume I won’t tip and treated accordingly. Industry workers beware. Do not recommend.

The whisky flight is great. It lets you try 13 different items they offer ranging from gin to vodka to whiskey. They also have cocktails you can try either individually or by flight. The staff was super nice and very knowledgeable, they were also very helpful in giving us tips on good bars, food, and places to visit in the Great Smoky Mountains.

Flew from Portland, OR to visit this distillery. Great service and friendly staff. Enjoyed the whiskey wish i could get it at home. Owner needs to take the suggestions of his staff and carry a branded hoodie and larger sizes. I would have loved to take home a hoodie or t-shirt along with the whiskey purchase. But nothing in 3x

We had the best time visiting this space. Our bartender, shame to us for not catching her name, but she is a rockstar from Georgia and loves some concerts! The cocktail sampler is perfect!! Had a blast here! Was able to walk from downtown easily. We sampled the whiskey and had a mixed drink. The bartenders were nice and let me sample something they were working on. The interior is smaller but still comfortable. I really liked the atmosphere and vibe of the place. Very fair pricing as well!

I love trying out new Distillery at places we visit and this place is no exception. We tried out several different types of school there. I loved their Whiskey and Burbon, those were my absolute favorites. My wife really loved the Orange Vodka and the Pink Gin. The Dragon Tail was a really unique flavor, tasted like spices mead, which is a very good thing. The tasting was $1 per type, and an inside fact is if you buy a bottle you get the flight for free! :) Another thing that they do here is make various cocktails. My wife loved the cinnamon toast crunch drink, where I tried to the Old Fashioned. Both were and we enjoyed them. The staff was very friendly and helpful and nice to everyone there. Would defiantly visit again

We really enjoyed the beers and the laid-back atmosphere at this brewery. The woman behind the bar was incredibly friendly and helped us choose some great beers to try. There's plenty of space both indoors and outside to relax and enjoy the moment.

If you love creative beers, this is the brewery to visit. Their menu is always changing and I am confident you will find something you love. They have three locations. When we went, I tried the Tessellation IPA and loved the dry hoppiness of it. They have food trucks sometimes as well. Trivia nights on Tuesdays.

"The girl is crafty like ice is cold." Cool, eclectic, around the corner hidden jem. Good selection of craft brew with enough variety for anyone. I loved the sounds playing out of the old school speaker system. Music was ambient and filled up the entire bar with highs and lows. It didn't sound harsh like other places that play music from computer speakers. They don't do flights but will do half pours so you can still get a few samples if you're not familiar with their brew. Definitely a few choices in there so I'm sure you'll find one to hit the spot for you. Both outdoor and indoor seating. Overall give them a try.

Just okay. We got a flight of IPAs and they were okay until we finished with the double IPA. Typically a double IPA is pretty sweet but this one was not enjoyable. More like rubbing alcohol, like the beer wasn’t fermented long enough…?

Imma give it 5 stars. The staff are wonderful. The beer is pretty dam good. It would be a MUST STOP, if i was on a Knox brew tour. Yet, if it was in Asheville, I may would not stop on the first day. If that puts it into perspective. I have a horrible memory myself, and i often drank an ipa with green in the name. I also had some super flat cans of that ipa, i was not impressed. Im super stoked about the food! Ive heard about it, and seen photos. While I havent tried it, I actually have high hopes for it and plan to go try. The parking and size of the place, may be the problem, if their food is really good too..

We got a flight of solid beers! Flagship PMG IPA and the habanero version are both great. Biff IPA a solid IPA as well. Porter is solid. Really impressed compared to other breweries in the area. This is a Packers bar on game day. Definitely the type of place to grab beer, snacks and stay for a while to watch a game.

A true Knoxville GEM!! Really cool, laid back vibe, great variety of beers, well crafted, and the service was very friendly and fast!! Now about the food... EAT IT ALL!! You can't go wrong with ANYTHING on this menu!! Full disclosure, Im from Philly: I RARELY order a cheesesteak outside my hometown, BUT I went on a hunch (mainly cuz I saw this jawn uses Amoroso rolls!!), and BOY AM I HAPPY I DID!! Tasty, good quality thin sliced rib-eye, finely chopped, with the BEST DAMN beer cheese I ever had, on the perfect, fresh, toasty, crusty outside, soft inside, hoagie roll!! When I tell you I didn't even put ketchup on this jawn, should say it all!! 😋 Also got the Pit Boss (huge!) and while meat (juicy, tender, and LOTS of it!) could maybe have a lil more seasoning, it is well made up for by the tasty bbq sauce on the side! Slaw was very fresh and well made! Rec the "Young Nathan Jr." Beer was DELISH!! Thank you, I will def stop again!!

We had a good experience here with a couple minor complaints. The room was a good size and well-appointed - in-line with expectations at this price range. Everything was clean, beds were comfortable. The reading lamp behind the sitting chair was broken, a couple of the headboard reading lights didn’t work, and the thermostat was capped too warm. All the normal kind of annoyances that seem too common at hotels these days. There’s a cool, small bar/restaurant on the second floor. Service was awesome in there but the prices seemed a little ambitious. Everyone we interacted with was very pleasant. The location is an easy walk to the market square area which has lots of good dining options. The valet parking is very easy to deal with too and those guys were hustling. The valet was fairly priced at $40/day. The $20/day “urban amenities fee” (which I don’t remember seeing when I booked) was a bit of a head scratcher. It might make sense to cover the cost of the shuttle or something. But I didn’t use any services other than valet… All told, I would stay there again and recommend it.
Mike P — Google review
My friends and I, party of 3, made reservations for the tea and were very excited. It was an overall ok experience. The waitress was nice, but you dont get your own tea pot for the table or per person, and the amount of food we were served seemed to be for 2 people, not 3. There were 2 of each food item, not 3, so many items we ended up sharing or the 3rd person just didnt get to try. We pointed out that we were paying for 3 services only served 2 and the waitress was kind but didnt solve problem. I think this is a fine experience if you're a table of 2, but for 3 it was rather weird not each having a sandwich of each flavor. Ive never experienced a tes set up like that before, you always get your own tower or set of food items per person.
Ashley S — Google review
I hate to leave negative reviews, hate it! But the room we had was not clean. Everything was dated and dinged up, which is fine, but I can't stand dirty carpets and showers. Idk if the room was skipped on accident or if someone had an off day, I have plenty of those too! We had two beds, thankfully, as the one had some weird stains on the bedspread. The baseboards needed a good dusting, the carpet needed a good vacuuming and shampooing and the shower needed some bleach. The glassware didn't look like it had seen a dishwasher so we just scrubbed them in the sink. Aside from that, staff was super friendly and the hotel is in a good location. I saw others complaining about the noise, but we thought it was very quiet. Had the room been clean, I'd have zero complaints.

I really enjoyed staying here. Every one was friendly and accommodating. I want to give a special thanks to Lisa. We had early starts for my son competition and staff at breakfast was so helpful to make sure we make it there on time. Hotel over all was very clean, quiet and comfortable. Hotel was conveniently located within walking distance from the convention center we were here for. There is a huge park to walk in the mornings just outside the hotel and a short walk to great restaurants. Everything was clean from the lobby to the rooms and we'll stocked. Service was exceptional, the valet gentleman took care of everything I needed and I drive a Rivian. I brought a mobile charger and they even found me a spot to plug it in. Thank you There was one staff member that stood out above all Lissa, she works in the restaurant on the second floor. She gets 5 out of 5 stars. Thank you

The room was very nice and a good size for a smaller hotel. The staff was amazing, they were so helpful and kind. The lobby and restaurants were fantastic.
Meredith B — Google review
Where to even begin... This was marketed as a diamond-award winning, 4-star hotel. What I got was a wannabe comfort inn (barely even that). I stayed for 3 days/2 nights on a work+leisure trip. The valet was excellent and HUSTLED for their well-deserved tips. There was a strawberry blonde lady who handled a lot of my housekeeping requests (simple, basic, please provide me a full set of sheets to sleep on kind of requests) and was wonderful and tipped accordingly. I did talk to other workers on site (non-management) who confirmed that both housekeeping and the dining room were low-staffed so that certainly explained the overall experience which I 100% blame on upper/sr. management There are a lot of better options in the area even the chain Hilton's and Marriott including the one that shares facilities with the Tennessean. Save your sanity (and money, if that's important to you) and go elsewhere. Location was fine if you are attending World Fair or Convention but for Downtown/market square I think there are closer options with better service and value. I included a few pictures but at some point the issues got so numerous I could only laugh in disbelief over such glaring and blatant violations of health and safety. I could take dozens of photos and it still wouldn't capture the actual experience and vibes (or lack thereof) experienced throughout my stay.

We actually arrived about 30 minutes before closing (unbeknownst to us), Yet staff greeted us with smile and friendliness. We were quickly seated, only customers. Food came out quickly, hot and exactly as ordered. Hubby had a burger and fries which he really enjoyed. I had steak and chicken tenders combo, along with loaded Mac and cheese and loaded mashed potatoes as my side. The rolls that were served were hot and delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly and tasty. I really really enjoyed the loaded mashed potatoes, best I'd had at any restaurant. The Mac and cheese was very tasty too. When we were done we wanted to order dessert to go, but was told that unfortunately the kitchen was closed so she couldn't get that for us. I found this odd as I had been a server in many different restaurants over the years, never worked anywhere that the cakes or pies came out of the kitchen from the cook, it was always the server responsibilities to get most desserts. Oh well, this wasn't a big deal. Overall the experience was most enjoyable.

Ordered from this location before. Perhaps it was a bad day and the food wasn’t the best. Well, I am working extremely late tonight and ordered me some delivery thinking maybe this time it would be different this time it was even worse. My steak was not how I asked it to be cooked, once again, stuff all over my rolls, my mashed potatoes, dark colored and runny and when I thought I could at least eat my Cesar salad, it had hair in it. This location needs to wake up and train their kitchen staff better. At this point the food is a safety concern. Food inspector needs to investigate that kitchen ASAP

Stopped here while passing through from Myrtle. After we get our gray steaks they tell us they've been having a problem with that. Pretty bad customer service there. They should pull the steaks from the menu until that problem is fixed. Waitress did well at taking care of us. For came out in average time. This is another restaurant having people and supply shortages.

Jada our waitress was really what made our visit here so great, she was friendly, funny and so sweet. Our drinks stayed full and even thought she was busy ahe checked on us often. Our spinich artichoke dip appetizer was good. My husband and I ordered salads which were mediocre at best, a fist full of mixed greens with one piece of cucumber and two slices of paper thin tomatoes with a pinch of cheddar cheese, pretty lack luster! Now in saying that the rolls were hot and fresh out of the oven (yummy) our steaks were the perfect medium and so tender. Kudos to the chef for a job well done! Oh, and our baked potatoes were great, with perfect amount of toppings. Btw the tiramsu is the bomb. So if you find yourself near here around supper time stop in and ask for Jada (best waitress ever)

I seem to catch myself after every visit to O'Charley's thinking, I should come here more often.. I stopped by for a bit not sure if I could finish a whole meal the portions are better then I expect anytime I've eaten here before. I started with he loaded baked potato soup and thought I would be getting a cup for $5.50 I did not expect the large bowl filled to the top that I received. Following that, the salmon I received was cooked exactly how I had to ask and was a great portion for an added protein without a big meal with sides. I spent significantly less than I thought I would have including getting a draft beer everything was under $20 with excellent service.

Sun Apr 13, 2025 Over a 40 minute wait both to have our orders taken and to be served. We were dining in.If I could I would have given a 0 star but in this case I can only give a 1 star. My husband ordered a cheese burger with baked potato with cheese and sour cream and a clam chowder soup with unsweet tea and I ordered only a Chicken Pecan salad with sweet and lemon. When she came to take our orders, 10 minutes after we arrived she asked if we wanted bread while waiting and we said yes because I was hungry. And we waited and waited and waited for our food. The waitress kept telling us every time she came to refill our drinks that it would be ready in 2 minutes. I don't remember how many times she came to refill our glasses but it was at least 5 times if not more because there was more ice than liquid. She also brought another bread basket when I asked her if it was going to take long. And said they were redoing the chicken because it was hard. Before she came I was even contemplating asking for the manager. Finally our food came. My husband started eating his soup and found it slightly warm as if it had cooled down. I looked at my salad and it did not look right. I had bacon bits and egg whites. There were no pecan nor cranberries. I saw her and waved her down. She asked if I wanted to see the manager and I said yes. In the meantime she asked if I wanted a dessert, on the house and I said yes, a brownie to go. She took the salad back into the kitchen and came back to our table and told me that the manager was making the salad herself. She couldn't come see us first? Only later did the manager come with the salad after the waitress came back again to refill our drinks. I said to the manager that we were both unsatisfied with the service. She took my husband's soup to the kitchen and added a cup of soup to the old bowl and did not give a new bowl of soup *(I only found this out later when I asked him how he found out that the manager only added a cup of soup-she told him). I was shocked that she did that and said that to him. She is the manager of the restaurant and that was unprofessional. As I had literally lost my appetite I asked the waitress for a to go box and brought it home to eat tomorrow. She gave us the bill (the manager did remove the salad but that was it). I asked for my brownie and she said she would ask the manager. She came back only to get payment and completely forgot the brownie. We payed and left and we will never be coming back again. Disgusting service. How many times can a person say the food will be ready in 2 minutes when it's not? And when you want to speak to the manager but she cannot come because she is making your food but comes only AFTER it is made? And does nothing else (oh but she did compt the salad, gotta give her credit for that). I wonder, do they ever get undercover food reporters and give them bad reviews? This is a restaurant, a publuc place of business. Is this how they treat their customers? There was a full staff in the kitchen, enough waiters and the place was not busy. I took picturesband a video. There was no toilet paper in the handicapped stall either. Oh btw, there was another couple with a child there. They arrived at 7:15 and when we left 7:38 they had not.been served yet. I wonder how long they had to wait before being served?

Recently went here for dinner after many years. Did not disappoint. Had the New Orleans Cajun chicken pasta: grilled and sliced seasoned chicken with sautéed red and green peppers, onions and Parmesan cheese tossed with linguini in a yummy cream sauce. Everything blended well together. Not too spicy at all. Also had a buttered roll and an unsweet peach tea that was delicious. Also was free pie Wednesday so ended up getting a slice of French silk pie to go. Highly recommend.

Apparently this restaurant does not care about customers who order their food curbside and only the ones who prefer to eat in are worth their time! Totally ruined my Mother's Day dinner! I ordered the salmon and steak combo VERY WELL DONE, I selected well done and also put it in the notes. They not only forgot my sides but the steak was almost purple it was so rare inside! I immediately called to give them the chance to rectify the situation however I was told by the guy who answered that the managers were TOO BUSY to come to the phone and that they would call me back... well they just closed and NO ONE CALLED! I paid for my food and tipped for my order to be brought out curbside with the expectations that my hard earned money was appreciated but I was very wrong! I will not be back. Not only was this my Mother's Day weekend, but it's also my graduation from nursing school so thanks for the disappointment.

I’ve ordered a sirloin before while dining in and always been happy with the food/service. I ordered a third line through DoorDash, and the girl took it to the wrong house, my neighbor, and then she brought it to me sideways. Once I open the package, it was the smallest steak I’ve ever seen. It was very tough and very pink in the middle. It’s almost like when you order to go food they give you the most crappy food ever So I will not be ordering from them from DoorDash.

When we first came here four years ago, the food here at O’Charleys was tasty and pretty good.Since they’ve made changes, the Food is almost an inedible. It’s just badly flavored or no flavor or hard as a rock or poor quality. I feel like the food came out of a freezer section somewhere or boxed food. Please do better. P.S. Our server was great and the only saving grace. Good luck.

I feel like the chain may be on its way out. Food was okay. Not bad, not great, but good. The service was great, some good employees there for sure. But like with red lobster, this chain in general just seems old and dated, with mediocre choices in food. There's better meals to be had. But Great service at this one!!

American restaurant
Bar & grill
O'Charley's Restaurant & Bar is a casual dining establishment that specializes in serving classic American comfort dishes. They offer the convenience of take-out options and boast a fully stocked bar. While some patrons have had mixed experiences with their food and service, the standout feature of this restaurant is their exceptional manager, Leah. She goes above and beyond to rectify any issues and even offers to cover the cost of unsatisfactory parts of meals.
Great menu, food, and servers. However, they wouldn't adjust the A/C during our visit, which ruined our dining experience. It was very cool in the dining room. We won't go back!

Our waitress, Jessica was super sweet and quick to serve us. The food was good andit was all around a nice dinner date location. I learned this location does trivia night every Tuesday at 6:30pm. We will definitely be back, not for the trivia game though haha

I think O'Charley's must be on hard times. I had Chicken Fingers and Cheese Grits for take out. The chicken tasted like it was cooked in old oil. It tasted burnt and was way too salty, and I am someone that feels like there is never enough salt in food. If there was cheese anywhere near the grits I would be surprised. And for dipping sauce I was given 1 half full cup of honey mustard. Seemed like about 1 tablespoon. I won't be going back.

The food was amazing and my server Becca Johnson was extremely kind and super helpful!! She was so nice to ask me if I wanted a second beer, she was very attentive but not overwhelming!! I will be coming back for sure and inviting my family and friends as well!! Food came out fast

The food was just ok (average). But it was modestly priced so I guess that is what's to be expected. The atmosphere was fairly ordinary nothing special. With that said the service was excellent and the food came out pretty quickly. All in all if you want a quick cheap all American place to eat. Then you'll be satisfied for sure.

I had a take out order. My order was supposed to include "cheesy grits". The grits were not cheesy and they were tasteless. My wife ordered shrimp and grits. Her grits were supposed to be chessy, they were not and also tasteless. The bread rolls that came with the order were stale. Overall very disappointed. I will not order there again.

We called a day ahead for a table for 15, ended up only needing 10. Arrived on time, only to be passed over for an additional 35 minutes. Five of ten people ordered chicken tenders, took an hour to get food. One order was missed, waited another 15 min. Tenders were drive thru quality at best. The restaurant was absolutely not busy. Half full is generous. Would skip and go anywhere before trying again

Excellent service and delicious food! Loved the hamburger and chicken tender special! Got to enjoy a family birthday today and the waitress was very helpful and friendly taking care of us. Definitely will return!
