This has been our resort of choice for several years. The food is magnificent and the location is ideal. The recent upgrades have been appreciated. However the quality of the staff has steadily been declining. The service was disappointing and frankly, the management seems cavalier about it. There will always be stand outs. Talent and conscientiousness speak for themselves. But outside of that, attention to training is key. There has been a steep decline in that department. The room service staff is always top notch. But good luck with housekeeping, grounds personnel and the regular wait staff. I hope that an intervention can be run before the experiences are totally ruined by a lack of kindness, plain rudeness and a generalized spirit of unwillingness. No one is asking for colonial genuflecting, just basic customer service training.

During our honeymoon in Montego Bay, we spent a day at Half Moon Resort, and it was absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the kindest hospitality and surrounded by the most breathtaking scenery. The resort is stunning — peaceful, beautifully maintained, and truly feels like paradise. We enjoyed every minute of our day pass experience. The water was crystal clear and calm, and we practically had the beach to ourselves. It was so relaxing and romantic — the perfect escape for newlyweds. The food and drinks were delicious, and the staff made sure we had everything we needed. Half Moon Resort is luxury, tranquility, and beauty all in one. Whether you’re staying overnight or visiting on a day pass, it’s a must-visit spot in Montego Bay. We left feeling refreshed, happy, and even more in love. ❤️

My absolute favourite hotel in Montego Bay! The property is quite vast and serene. I usually stay by Founders Cove and I enjoy the beach, it always feels like it’s my private beach. The breakfast buffet is fantastic and I’ve always enjoyed the food although it’s a little pricey (at least it’s been consistently good). Despite being right along a main road I’ve never had any issues with noise. It’s a great place for a little romantic getaway or even for a personal escape from daily life

We did not stay at the Hotel itself but visited the SPA. The ladies at the SPA desk were so helpful and friendly with booking us and explaining everything to us. This SPA was a nice experience with being able to visit the sauna/steam room before our massage. The only thing that threw me off was during the massage there was no music going..typically there is like a rain sound going or something like that,

This was our first time at Half Moon, and everything about the experience was impeccable. The property is beautifully maintained, the complimentary bikes were a fun and easy way to get around, and every staff member we encountered was warm, professional, and kind. A special thank you to Joy, David, Claudio, and the entire culinary team at Founder's Cove—every meal was delicious and unforgettable. I had a few special Jamaican food requests and dietary restrictions, and they made it all happen with such care and generosity. I couldn't be more grateful. Founder's Cove was wonderful, despite what some reviews have stated online. We’re already dreaming about our return. Half Moon is truly something special.

We were placed at this hotel for one night by Virgin Atlantic due to an 18-hour flight delay, and I can only say that the resort is absolutely incredible. The grounds are vast, spotless, and truly breathtaking. We arrived quite late, and during check-in, the receptionist had us sign a bike waiver. My husband and I, exhausted from the long journey, didn’t understand why this was necessary and signed it, assuming we wouldn’t need the bikes. However, after exploring the resort, we quickly realised that the grounds are so large that using a bike is essential to getting around. It would have been helpful for the receptionist to explain this to us, as it made the bikes vital for getting from one place to another. Without them, it would have taken at least 30 minutes to walk to the lobby for dinner. Upon being driven to our room by a hotel attendant in a buggy (again, because of how large the grounds are), the experience took a bit of a turn. The attendant didn’t communicate with us at all and drove extremely fast, almost as though he were annoyed by our late arrival due to the flight delay. This was disappointing, especially since we had no idea where we were going. When we arrived at our suite (the Eclipse Room, which was a lovely gesture), we had to go upstairs, but the attendant just dropped us off at the side and didn’t offer to help with our luggage. While we’re not entitled guests, it would have been a nice touch for him to offer assistance, especially since it seemed like an oversight on his part. He didn’t even say goodbye, which made me assume his shift was over, but regardless, the lack of interaction was a bit disappointing. After such a long journey, we were hoping for a little more warmth and guidance from the hotel staff. While we understand they may have been busy, a simple greeting and an offer to assist with our luggage would have gone a long way to make us feel more welcomed. A little courtesy can make a big difference, especially when guests are arriving at night after a delay. On a positive note, once we entered our room, we were in awe. It was beautiful, immaculate, and perfectly appointed. The bed was also incredibly comfortable, and I truly had no complaints about the room. Considering our late arrival (around 10 PM), the kitchen staff thoughtfully arranged a burger and chips for us, and it was surprisingly delicious. The dining staff were wonderful, and we were grateful for their hospitality, especially as we had to use the bikes to get to the dining area and got a little lost in the dark. Fortunately, a kind hotel attendant we bumped into offered to guide us there, which was much appreciated. In the morning, with daylight, we could fully appreciate the luxury of this resort. It’s massive, pristine, and quiet. Breakfast was divine, and the staff in the kitchen area were exceptional. Keron, the smoothie guy, and one of the chefs, known as "Mr. Make it Happen," were particularly fantastic. Their friendly personalities really stood out, and we felt well taken care of. Despite the negative customer service from the first hotel attendant who took us to our room and the lack of communication from the reception staff regarding the bikes, overall, it was truly an incredible and memorable stay. The resort is filled with beautiful palm trees and lush vegetation throughout, making it an unforgettable experience.

This was my third stay at the hotel, and while there are some positives worth noting, the overall service experience left us disappointed and made our stay far less enjoyable than it should have been. On the positive side, the hotel itself is beautiful. The location is excellent, the grounds are spacious, and the pools and common areas are well designed. A few members of the staff—particularly some of the wait staff—delivered outstanding service, going out of their way to be kind, attentive, and professional. Those moments of excellence stood out and made a real difference. Unfortunately, the overall service fell well below expectations. The check-in process set the tone: the staff member who assisted us was neither warm nor welcoming, and instead came across as curt, argumentative, and even hostile. She refused to honor the AmEx Fine Hotels & Resorts benefits that were clearly included with our reservation, despite my providing proof and a receipt. Rather than resolving the issue, she insisted I contact American Express directly—even though I was out of the country—an unreasonable expectation for a returning guest. The way she handled the situation, and her dismissive attitude when I asked about the room upgrade, was a poor start to our stay. Other service gaps continued throughout. Some restaurant staff were polite and professional, but others seemed uninterested, unfriendly, or only became attentive after receiving a tip. At times, it felt like service was based on a quid pro quo rather than genuine hospitality, which is not the experience you expect at a property of this caliber. The room assignment also created challenges. We were placed at one far end of the resort, nearly half a mile from the only open pool. With two children, this was difficult to manage. After requesting a closer room, we were moved—but only three buildings closer—leaving the pool still a significant distance away. To make matters worse, the beach near our room was not maintained to the same standard as the beaches closer to the center of the resort, further diminishing the experience. Lastly, while the food was good, it was very expensive for the quality and portion sizes. Overall, the amenities and a few exceptional staff members prevented this from being a truly terrible stay. But the disappointing service—not just unfriendly, but at times outright rude—overshadowed what should have been an enjoyable return visit.

Sandals Royal Carribean did not disappoint. Shadeen (wedding planning office) went above and beyond. To add some further detail, my wife and I had been planning our vowel renewal in Jamaica through Sandals and it was poor. HOWEVER, as soon as we get to the resort Shadeen makes it look effortless and there is no stress. Her attention to detail and "customer first" approach is great. She made our vowels renewal exactly what we wanted, thank you Shadeen you were amazing! Our butlers lan and Nicole were exceptional and in all honesty they made our stay. Both made our individual birthdays special and made us feel special on each. To be honest, I think if we didn't have lan and Nicole I don't think our stay would of been what it was, they were amazing, friendly, professional and easy going, thank you both. The maintenance team on the beach were also great and keep the beach in pristine condition whilst also being pleasant and professional. Few comments for improvement. My wife and I went to the sushi restaurant in Montego Bay and was met with abit of hostility when asking for Perrier water that we had thought our butler had arranged, it was as if the server w looking down on us, however she did warm u wards the end.

I must say the staff at Sandals Royal Caribbean were exceptional and there was a very high staff to guest ratio. I was greeted by a cold wet flannel and a drink which was exactly what the doctor ordered. Please note I arrived at 11am and check in was for 3pm. They stored my luggage and was more than happy to assist me with settling in on the premises until my room was ready. The room was exquisite, the only downside was that the gentleman that took me to my room spoke so fast and could have taken time to explain things a little more as I felt lost on the first night there. Throughout the stay, staff members went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable, special thank to all the staff in Cricketer's pub, you were all superb. My house keeper Terry-Ann was so lovely, thanks again. The highlight of my trip though was Patricia at front desk. I had a late flight back home and stayed on the premises until it was time to leave. I was told earlier my a team member that I could use that facilities at the gym to have a shower and get changed. Patricia, however gave me access to a room to have a shower and get changed. Now, that is what you call going above and beyond. Thank you so so much and I cannot wait to come again as this was an absolutely breathtakingly epic experience, PS the fire dance was incredible!

Celebrated our 28th wedding anniversary 2 weeks ago at Sandals Royal Caribbean, the place we honeymooned. Everything and everyone were fantastic. Food, service, drinks, vibe, top notch as usual. We enjoyed a swim out suite and it was so fun having our own pool area and sundeck. We spent a day on the island at the pool and beach bar and it was quiet and uncrowded. Royal Caribbean is much smaller and laid back than Sandals Montego Bay down the road, but you have privileges at both. Totally enjoyed our relaxing time.

We had the most phenomenal trip to Sandals Royal Caribbean. We resort was awesome. The view from our room amazing. All the staff was friendly, professional and genuine "really sincere people". The food was delicious. We went for our Thirty Year anniversiry and my wife being cancer free. If you need to refresh I would encourage you to plan a trip.

Our Sandals vacation in Montego Bay at Royal Caribbean was really great. The resort was not as big as our first experience at St. Lucia, but we had a great time celebrating with our friends for their 10th wedding anniversary. Our Butler, Andre (Bossi) was superb and went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable, worry-free time. He was attentive to our needs, anticipated our desires, and went the extra mile to help us celebrate with banners, flowers, and signs posted for the anniversary. The food was good and our server, Princess, at the Bombay resort was so delightful that we requested her on our return visit to the restaurant. The entertainment was very nice and we are already looking towards the next Sandals location.

My wife and I celebrated our 25th anniversary at Sandals Royal Caribbean in Montego Bay about a week before hurricane Melissa hit. Our stay was as epic as we had hoped. Rooms, service, staff, food, drinks, pools, beach...everything was 10/10. Our butlers Sheldon and Andre awesome...attentive without being intrusive. We loved the surprises they had for us in our room and while lounging at the pool and beach. My wife especially loved the private dinner on the beach. Too many good things to list here. We will be back, not only because of the quality of our visit, but because of the outstanding way they treated guests who got stuck there due to hurricane Melissa.

My husband and I stayed five days at Sandals Royal Caribbean for our Anniversary. This is a beautiful resort, very relaxing if you are looking for a relaxing resort with all the amenities. The rooms are beautiful, the restaurants serve good food, the grounds are well maintained. The ocean view is awesome. Can't wait to go back next year. The hospitality is awesome 👍

The property and resort is nice, although we weren't blown away or impressed above our expectations. The food is delicious, however there are some that I would avoid, such as El Patio. The a la carte dinners also took a long time, up to 2 hours if you also have dessert, which lead to long wait times if you don't arrive close to opening at 6:00. The app was also not accurate, listing hours for each restaurant, which changed our plans more than once when we arrived to a closed restaurant. Room service was quite slow at times, so we only ordered breakfast which was more prompt. The very large size of the resort (combining 3 resorts) seems to be a challenge from a service and maintenance aspect. The pool area was clean. Although the beach/ocean had a high amount of sargassum, it was still swimmable. The ocean only gets around 3-5ft deep up to the buoys. Lots of beach chairs available. Pool chairs were more limited. This is the 2nd Secrets we have stayed at, and Secrets Cap Cana was a more impressive resort to us, and left us expecting more from Wild Orchid. Overall, this is a good resort worth going to and we had a great time, but unless it is your first time at an all inclusive, you should adjust your expectations.

In general would give this resort a 3.5 out of 5. They desperately need to remodel and upgrade their rooms, pool, restaurants décor etc. The hospitality was not always good, a lot of times the women would give a lot of attitude and make it seem like getting our requests were such a pain to them. Our toilet was clogged one of the nights just because they didn't work well enough. I had to call front desk 3 times with a wait of over an hour, no one came. I had to go down to front desk and demand maintenance to ride in the elevator with me to fix the issue. A few days later when we were making a reservation to a restaurant the hostess was oh room # XXX you guys had the toilet complaint - EXCUSE ME? First of very unprofessional you would bring that up at dinner, secondly it wasn't my fault maintenance was not doing their job and I had to yell at them to do so. The food was really good however, the wait for receiving your food was sometimes over an hour. The hibachi experience was one of our top memories - definitely recommend. The coffee shop had great coffee and the women there were very nice there. The beach area was great, beautiful, calm waves with amazing sunset. In general I do not think the cost for this resort was worth what we got

We have just returned from here. All I can say is excellent. All the staff make you feel welcome and part of the family in Jamaica. The barracuda bar is the bar to be at. Dowaine, Shereece, Althea, Jenell, Kadeen nd KerryAnn make you feel so special and they take very good care of you. Deandra and Junior in the restaurants take very good care of you. Lisa and Rusheka and the others on reception are always available and extremely helpful. Anita on the cleaning team looked after us very well. Duran and Rashmaine our buttlers were exceptional. They were kind, helpful and made our time in Jamaica extra special. I would recommend this hotel 100 %

We really enjoyed our stay! The resort is nice, the entertainment is great, the food is great… only a few discomforts some of the restaurants are extremely hot. We tried to dress up a little bit for the rooftop dinner and the hibachi dinner and we’re extremely uncomfortable due to the heat. Maybe if they could find a way to put some outdoor fans it would be perfect. The other thing is we upgradedto the preferred status to be able to enjoy some of the top shelf amenities, but they did not upgrade the room service menu so that was a bust. But overall, I was still give it 4 1/2 stars.

We had a wonderful 25th anniversary trip at Secrets Wild Orchid. Lots of entertainment, tour options, water activities, and the gym was great. Dieandra at World Cafe was absolutely amazing so we asked to be seated at her table for the entire trip! So warm, friendly and professional. We will definitely return!

I recently stayed at Secrets Wild Orchid in Montego Bay, Jamaica, and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. The check-in process was smooth, and we were able to check in earlier than expected, which was a plus. The room itself was very nice—clean, comfortable, and with a beautiful ocean view. However, the food and service fell far short of what I would expect from a 5-star resort. There was little to no variety in the food; the same items were served daily across nearly all restaurants. The few restaurants that did offer variety were booked days in advance, yet no one informed us of the need to make early reservations. To make matters worse, the bars and restaurants weren’t consistently open, leaving long gaps with no food or drinks available. Breakfast was the best meal of the day, but even that was underwhelming. I left the hotel for an excursion and the food was so much better outside. During my stay, I needed some basic feminine products, but surprisingly, the hotel did not stock any. Thankfully, one of the staff members went out of her way to provide them from her own supply—a kind gesture, but something the resort should have been prepared for. Another frustrating moment came when I asked for a towel around 5 PM on the beach, only to be told there were none available. For a resort of this caliber, that felt unacceptable. The drinks were mediocre at best—often watered down and lacking quality. When I asked staff questions, they rarely had answers, which only highlighted how disorganized the resort seemed. Overall, I was very disappointed with my stay. Jamaica is a stunning and vibrant country, but sadly, this resort did not reflect the beauty or hospitality I was hoping for. I truly expected more from a brand that markets itself as a luxury experience.

Absolutely amazing! I love this resort! All inclusive/adults only. Our room was beautiful. The view was stunning and the food was sooooo good! Jamaica is top tier one of a kind! I can’t wait to go back! 🩷

Great location. Very private and quiet resort. Granted we were here during low occupancy period with just 15 or so couples. No kids while we were there. Plenty activities. Great food. Very “old school” decadent hotel in a very good way. Owners are on the property to tend to any issues or needs. Looking forward to be back!

Best hotel I've ever stayed at! Super friendly staff that made you feel like family. Very welcoming and inviting. They all introduced themselves to us and always remembered our names. I will of course recommend this to anyone who comes to visit Ocho Rios. The amenities were amazing as well. from the nightly dessert selections placed in our room, the paddle boards kayaks and sailboats, there were just so many fun things to enjoy. we were also able to stay for the Tuesday night meet and greet with all the staff and managers and an open bar, and then a very lovely dinner on the beach in a buffet format. There was also Thursday movie night which had a nice James Bond movie displayed on a large projector out on the beach. overall, if I could give this higher than five stars I would! It was the best resort I've ever stayed and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Such a delightful spot! Everything about the Jamaica Inn is wonderful, and the staff make it extra special. There is not a single person who didn’t go out of their way to make our holiday perfect, but we’d like to especially recognize Ashalene, Samantha and Patrick at the beach bar, with whom we spent many perfect mid day hours. Can’t wait to see you again soon!!

🇯🇲 Hello from the peaceful and tranquil beachfront resort of Jamaica Inn! 🥰 The purest definition of “disconnect”. With no televisions in the rooms, you are guaranteed to reconnect with nature, the sea, yourself and your partner if you bring one. Singles are certainly comfortable here as well! Classic and authentic in nature and decor, it feels like you’ve taken a step back in time to when things were “simple” and “unpolluted”. Let’s just say, I happy we made it apart of our “mini-moon” trip! Perfect for decompressing from the busiest of the wedding.

Favorite place in the world. I have been coming for 13 years now and although the dear people I met there are no longer with us, the memories will never end. Impossible to mention all the things I love about Jamaica Inn, here are just a few: « Welcome home » greeting upon coming in, veranda suite which feels like home, opening the shutters first thing in the morning to the beautiful light, walking barefoot across the lawn to the sandy beach to the warm water, « Blue mountain » coffee in the morning, afternoon tea, cocktail on the terrace under the stars with the sound of tree frogs… it’s the place where my soul feels at home and longs to be back. The only thing I wish for is the time-share option, so I could spend 2-3 months a year there 🤗

I must say this place is absolutely perfect!! Not a single complaint. The wife and I are frequent travelers. We travel several times a year. I will have to say that this place is by far the best place we have ever stayed. We have stayed at huge all inclusives and luxury villas. But this place trumps all of them. We love how small and private it is. (Which explains why so many celebrities choose to stay here) The rooms are very clean with stunning views. The service is excellent. Staff know privacy and space. They don’t overwhelm you but are very attentive. Once you choose a place to relax on the beach and go for a swim, within minutes they set up your chairs with towels and linen. The food was delicious . The waiters know how to properly seat people with privacy and space in mind. All the staff are clean and professional. They have a beautiful sweet Labrador named Shadow that spends all day on the property and knows basic commands and loves to swim and fetch. Fun fact: Shadow is their 5th generation pet! You can grab her leash and hang out with her for as long as you like. She’s super sweet. I met one of the owners and he was very approachable and was very attentive of your needs. The wife and I have been looking for a place where we can come to every 6 months for 5 days to reboot since our business is so demanding. We found it!!! I am super excited to become a familiar face and establish great relationships with the staffs. The Morrows Family has owned this place since the 50’s and you can tell what their vision is. To be a place of privacy, safety and most of all relaxation. I highly recommend this place. I am now a regular customer at The Jamaica Inn. Thank you to all the staff for such a wonderful experience. See you in 6 months!!!

The best hotel you will ever stay at. We are back for our 5th stay. We honeymooned here in 1982 and have returned 4 times since. Little has changed. It's still the picture perfect place to stay with impeccable service. Want one of the world best romantic holidays where you have to make your own fun? This is it.

Very clean. Good massages and would highly recommend their body massages. Visit their website to see a full list of all services. There is something for everyone. It is also easy to gift a treatment to friends and family as well. I also did an anti aging facial as well however for the money I didn’t quite feel as though I got the value for my money. As for the ambiance, it is so calming. Great place to relax. Easy to find. Ample parking. Staff is courteous. As a local that is extremely important to me. If you are interested in dining at the restaurant, I suggest calling to get an idea of the menu options and budget. If you are traveling with small children please keep a close eye on them as I don’t think this place is child friendly with high stairways, uneven surfaces due to the location in the hills etc. It is beautiful though

I went for a dinner reservation for my birthday. I had to make a $20 USD deposit per person to secure the reservation.The place was scenic with an amazing view of the city. They started us off with bread, which I liked. I ordered the crab cakes and stuffed chicken. My partner and best friend ordered the pork chops. For appetizers, they had spring rolls and soup. The appetizers were basic. The main courses were great. Seasoned well. Pork was tender. The service was good. I got a complimentary slice of carrot cake for my birthday. Side Note - the roads leading up to the property were very bad.

Very pleasant location with an excellent view of Kingston - we came for lunch at the restaurant. The cocktails were good, the seafood starters and cheesecake dessert were fine , but our entrees were disappointing (the fried whole fish was too dry and unpalatable ; the goat curry was too salty while the oxtail was underseasoned )

This place is incredibly relaxing, and the service is top-notch. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. My favorite part of the experience was the spa—especially the reflexology foot massage combined with the full-body massage. It was so soothing that I fell asleep almost instantly. The facial was decent, but it could have been better. They used some high-quality, healthy products, which I appreciated, but I expected a facial steamer. Instead, they applied a hot towel for a few minutes before wiping it off. Despite that minor issue, I still give this resort a full 5 stars. It’s absolutely worth the money, and I highly recommend it.

The journey to get there was something and unfortunately we visited on a day when the weather wasn’t the best but that’s nothing compared to the rude and callous staff. Nonetheless, very breathtaking view. It’s one of those places you visit and go “oh” then be on your way.

My wife and daughter stayed while on a trip to Jamaica recently and my wife celebrated her birthday here. First of all Island Outpost who current operate this place, and the staff on site represent the warmth of the people of Jamaica. If you want an impersonal service where the staff are unimportant to you as individuals then this is probably not the place as the staff are warm, friendly, and love to interact with guests who wish to do so. Starting with the booking process it could not have been smoother, Island Outpost did all they could to assist me, and very kindly made adjustments due to changes in our arrangements. Everything was friendly, courteous and professional. On arrival I had a call from my wife saying how amazed and happy she was. The staff were so kind and assisted her with her suitcases. She stayed in a one bedroom cottage with a lounge and terrace overlooking Kingston etc. The rooms are intentionally in touch with nature and I did see a review about this but why else would go visit somewhere in the mountains surrounded by amazing nature? The rooms are really well appointed with mosquito nets on the windows and over the beds. The beds are large and luxurious, super comfy mattresses. Having a fridge and a microwave was also useful for evenings where they wanted to relax. The cottages are well maintained, again I did see some comments that the hotel is past its best, but my wife didn't experience that, in fact her experience was that the hotel has an intentional 'lived-in' feel and vibe to it. It was never designed to be what some tourists might want, brand new and clinical. This place has soul. The cottages are independent from each other and secluded and each one offers a different view/experience. My wife moved from one cottage to another mid way due to other bookings and us making a last minute booking, but again the service was brilliant and she also got to see that the other cottage (without a lounge) was just as well appointed. The views are amazing but also you experience the beautiful sounds of the birds around. The communal areas are also fantastic. The bar and restaurant facilities are great, and the rum punch is second to none, using Blackwell rum from the man himself. The pool is a real attraction and while my wife was there the staff try to carefully manage visitors such that they do get to see the views but don't crowd the pool area being used by guests. Regarding the pool area this is intentionally not a box standard blue tiled pool. It has been designed to try and seamlessly fit in with the landscape, as is the pool area so if you are looking for straight lines and modern angles then again this is not the place. The breakfasts was amazing with plenty on offer and a good variety available. Cooked food was the only aspect that on occasion not so consistent, but that is a minor point. There are some local restaurants and takeaways only a few minutes walk from the hotel, to the left as you exit the hotel round the corner is an amazing takeaway plus coffee plantation, and if you instead go right there is Cafe Blue not far down the road. These are nice places to wander to if you want to stretch your legs. We do want to personally thank Sarafina who handled our booking and Michelle who was on hand in the hotel. Michelle did everything to look after my wife and daughter. When they arrived my daughter had had a slightly poorly tummy already and immediately Michelle arranged soup for her. Then on my wife's birthday she was serenaded by the staff and made to feel so special. Michelle even kindly gave my daughter a gift. When my wife and daughter left to fly back to the UK they came away with precious memories they will keep for life. We will definitely be booking again, although this time with me also. I understand it is on the market, so I just hope that whoever purchases it does it justice. It is a beautiful place and needs to retain the love and care of it's staff to keep its vibe. Went here for dinner with some friends. Overpriced, overhyped, best thing about this place is the view. Food and drinks are mediocre, not worth the horrible journey. Won’t recommend.

An incredible stay. The setting is magnificent, everything has been designed to make us live in a magnificent setting. The team is helpful and attentive, you will want for nothing. The hotel is located 5 minutes from the airport and on an iconic boulevard of the city, which makes getting around easy. The food, activities and events offered will allow you to fully enjoy Jamaica. Thank you to the entire team at the S Hotel, I highly recommend it.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about S Hotel. The staff went above and beyond to make our birthday stay memorable. Front desk was friendly, helpful and accommodating, beach staff made sure we had a comfortable place to sit and had drinks delivered when needed, all restraunt & bar staff was friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Andre who made sure we had everything we needed and had fun our entire trip. From daily activities, off site excursions and a nice variety of places to eat- this place is a top notch resort and we look forward to coming back soon! We had so much fun we extended our stay for another day. 🫣😅

The location is far from most attractions but the beach is amazing. They have rooms of all sizes but the mini is just too mini. Food was decent but I really can't compliment the staff enough. Paula, Marlon, Roy, Kayla, Andre, and all those who tended our rooms and meals were top notch. We asked for a different room and they were able to accommodate us the same day. I'd say if you are in Montego bay for a few days to enjoy the beach this is a great place. I would not recommend for long stays due to distance, local area, and food options get repeated a lot.

We had a wonderful vacation at S Hotel last weekend and were quickly reminded about the wonderful island of Jamaica! We have visited Montego Bay before and enjoyed the island but your hotel provided a more authentic and intimate experience than we previously had. The vibe and view walking into to the lobby was exceptional. We appreciated all of the heritage spread in artwork and statues around the hotel and loved the S Club decor. Our families had amazing accommodations and meals daily and the staff was top notch. Marlon made us feel very comfortable and was great with the kids. We spent some time on the pickleball court and attended sip and paint one of the days to get full usage of the amenities provided. S Hotel is a special experience and we loved sharing that with our kids. The meals at Rocksteady and Jamrock were top notch and the daily buffet had something for everyone while getting to try local dishes. My daughter found her new favored meal in lamb which she never had before! Thank you-our family had a vacation to remember. We will be back and experience more of what Jamaica has to offer!

I stayed at the S Hotel in Montego Bay, Jamaica, and everything about my experience was perfect—from the stunning lobby to the breathtaking beach views. One of my favorite moments was relaxing by the poolside at night, where the views were absolutely gorgeous. Dinner at the RockSteady restaurant was a highlight, with dishes that were both delicious and beautifully plated. The buffet also became a favorite and I honestly wished I could take the food home with me! 😂 The staff were exceptional: warm, polite, and attentive, truly making my stay even more memorable. I also loved the live music and evening entertainment, which added such a vibrant touch. Overall, my stay was wonderful, and I can’t wait to return and relive the experience!

I had an unforgettable three-night stay at this all-inclusive resort in Montego Bay. From the moment we arrived, the customer service was exceptional. A special thank you goes to Monique Bendison, who made our check-in smooth and pleasant while assisting with our reservation. The dining experience was nothing short of phenomenal—every meal was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully prepared. The rooftop pool views were breathtaking, and the servers there were always courteous, friendly, and attentive, making the atmosphere even more enjoyable. Delroy is the man! He is very pleasant, friendly and understands customer service. I loved the combination of options, from relaxing by the multiple pools to taking a short walk to the beach, giving me the best of both worlds. This property truly exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a mix of luxury, relaxation, and warm Jamaican hospitality in Montego Bay. Definitely worth it!

This resort was amazing! Everyone was warm and friendly! The food was delicious! The drinks were great! The rooms were clean and huge! The pools were comfortable! Everything was AMAZING! Will definitely be back!!!

Beautiful property with lots to see and do. The people and food are amazing (and vegetarian friendly). Don’t miss out on the spa - pimento & ginger with Megan! She worked magic on my back and now I will want to come back for the massage alone. Stayed at the beginning of low season and would like to visit again to see it in the high season as well. It’s a lovely, sophisticated but casual, “barefoot luxury” style. Lastly, as expected, amazing music and chill vibe!

I have so many words and not enough words all at the same time to describe this place. This is not a beach resort on a cool island, Goldeneye is a feeling, a destination in its own right and an experience all wrapped up in one. I need to email concierge with my full thoughts so that the staff who looked after us for our week In paradise are recognized for their kindness and efforts. I cant wait to go back.

This is a hidden sanctuary. If you are looking for a getaway where you can relax and reset this is the place to stay. I wanted to utilize the spa but the schedule was very limited during my stay so I was unable to enjoy a service. I stayed one night and requested room service, I was a little disappointed to know that I ordered breakfast in room service which never showed up.

The property is beautiful and the staff is even better. In fact the staff is exceptional and made our stay even more enjoyable. My only criticism is that the buffets aren't worth the price. The selection of foods is not commensurate with the price but we would return to GoldenEye without hesitation.

I had come back and share again how truly wonderful this place is. The more travelled you are, the more you appreciate a place like Goldeneye. Scrambling for a pool or beach bed is not a thing here, its more likely you will have a pool or beach just for yourself. The food is authentic and the service is extremely pleasant. It is pricey but no different from 5 star resorts anywhere else in the world. If you need shiny and new do not come here. If you like authentic, understated luxury and natural beauty, then you will love it. I’m sitting writing this from a 5 star resort in Mauritius, which is lovely. But I haven’t been able to find better than Goldeneye yet, so I will be returning in the summer if you will have me!

Beautiful Hotel in stunning surroundings - the rooms could use a little renovation here and there.

It’s crazy boring. There’s no entertainment at all. Sat alone each evening from probably 8pm on. The activities are snorkeling (really nothing to see), Kajak (go around the lagoon in 20 min) and a very nice expensive spa which was actually the best thing here. Beside the fact that u have to hear all the trucks and cars outside the street while having a treatment. The food is like several others mentioned really a joke, especially when u have to pay ridiculous prices for it. There’s no food included at all. Not even a small breakfast like at strawberries. Had really the worst jerk ever in Jamaica here. The so called concierge service is actually doing nothing, beside handing out wrong informations. And The one request I had was answered 5h later. Thanks for that, it was too late surprisingly. The room is always wet, because of the high humidity. Service is also way too poor for this prices. Had to wait 15 min before ordering at lunch with one other table used at the whole restaurant. Generally staff is talking way more with each other than supporting or servicing guests. The Beaches are made for toddlers beside there are none… big up romaine btw. It was the only helpful staff member at all. There are so much way better options in Jamaica for luxury resorts. Don’t fall for that please.

I had the pleasure of staying in the Sanwood Villa, which was absolutely beautiful—peaceful, stylish, and surrounded by lush tropical scenery. We recently visited Geejam Studios / Bush Bar Restaurant in Portland, Jamaica, for a friend’s birthday dinner, and it was an unforgettable experience! Our waiter, Brian, who is also the head bartender, gave us absolutely excellent service from start to finish. He was professional, attentive, and made us laugh throughout the evening. Brian went above and beyond—serving us both in the restaurant area and by the pool, offering great food and drink suggestions, and even being flexible in crafting the cocktails we wanted. Thanks to his easygoing personality and exceptional service, the birthday celebration was truly a 10/10 experience.

We spent three nights at Sansan Villa and had a truly memorable experience. The villa itself is clean, spacious, and extremely quiet, with a breathtaking sunrise view of the sea and the gentle sound of birds in the mornings. The private pool was well-maintained and made for relaxing afternoon and nighttime soaks. Staff were very welcoming and attentive, and our room service order arrived quickly.The food was delicious, particularly the complimentary Jamaican breakfast which was a standout. However, those following a vegetarian diet should be aware that the menu is a bit limited in options. One of the highlights of our stay was spending hours at the villa’s cove—it’s a unique spot, but do note that reaching it requires descending 270 steps, which is not suitable for guests with limited mobility.Overall, Geejam Hotel is an excellent choice for anyone seeking peace, privacy, and stunning views in Portland. I would definitely visit again.

We loved our stay at Geejam and just wish we had more time there! We stayed in a Rumba Room which was really spacious and had amazing artwork on the walls. There was a very relaxed vibe at the hotel, and the team were super friendly. It is a short walk down to the beach which is perfect for swimming in the bay or paddle boarding with sea turtles! We also did a tour of the recording studio with owner Steve which was a real highlight. In general the surrounding area felt a lot less touristy than other parts of the island which was very refreshing. Can't wait to go back!

I had a magical time at Geejam. Everyone was so nice especially Kamille who deserves a raise. Her smile and patience are impeccable. It was nice to have owner on site. The rumba rooms are true luxury and feel so brand new. The little beach is really pretty too and having easy access to book excursions and transportation was a huge plus. Finally crossed this off my bucket list and you should too!!

Loved, loved our stay here! I’ve always wanted to visit and this time around it worked out. We were able to squeeze in a studio tour before dinner! Amazing! Totally worth it. A true gem in paradise. Extraordinary vibes….and I made it from the restaurant to the beach down the strips and back up! Whew!

It was an honor to tour the studio alongside my husband who is a producer based in NYC. His excitement was palpable as he explored the rich history of Geejam, a place renowned for its musical heritage. The connection he formed with Steve Beaver was remarkable; Steve's warm spirit and generous hospitality made us feel right at home. Fun Fact - My husband’s name is also Steve 😂 Our kids were equally enthralled by the experience, fascinated by the studio’s creative energy and the stories behind it. Meeting Steve was a special treat for our family, and his genuine enthusiasm for sharing the studio's history added an extra layer of magic to our evening. Overall, our anniversary dinner at Bushbar was not just a meal; it was a memorable experience filled with great vibes and unforgettable moments. We will definitely be staying at Geejam Hotel our next visit!

I stayed in this hotel resort recently. Loved it. Great staff. Very kind and attentive. No exceptions. It was a great facility. It was very charming. Felt like stepping back in time with very classic island decor. I heard that it was decorated by Ralph Lauren and I absolutely believe this to be true. Food was amazing. Staffed with Michelin star chefs. Shows every night. Beautiful beach, pool and water sports. Not the sort of place you go if you want to be rowdy.

I have never felt so relaxing and pleasant at the same time. I am in love with the round hill hotel and Villa. The food and beverage are enchanting it was a life time experience 😋

The Villa was spectacular, the food was good, but not great, service was very good, but staff was actually too intrusive. The point of a villa is privacy, yet they wouod just walk on the grounds and into the villa constantly, it was ridiculous. But most importantly, and the reason I took a star off, was they listed a couples massage as $300, then charged $300 per person. As someone who has had countless massages, I have NEVER had that happen. It was truly outrageous.

The moment you reach Round Hill, you feel the warmth and the lovely, relaxed vibe. The most charming people have been working here for years / decades and ensuring that guests feel at home. Every single person working here, is a role model for outstanding hospitality. Most beautiful property, with the best of rooms, villas, sports facilities and a gym with an unparalleled view. Just like other guests, we will be back here for sure. Lots of space to relax and to be active. Housekeeping, food, watersports team, all are the best of the best. Thanks a lot to Junior and all of the charming Round Hill family, for taking care of us and making us feel at home.

Generous size rooms and bathrooms. Fabulous villas (friends stayed in a few villas as we were there for a 90th bday celebration!). Amazing views. Expert, friendly and professional service from all staff members. Great walking trails. My fav was walking to the Spa. Beach front rooms and balconies are awesome. Beach and pool are beautiful. Jamaica is lush and beautiful and this is a perfect place to enjoy your resort time! And daily tea time is lovely! Not far from the Montego Bay airport. A bit expensive, but worth it. Fabulous for adults, family and group trips!

The villa 11 crew rocks! The service was superior and exceeded our expectations. They were kind, respectful and courteous our entire stay. My husband and I came for my birthday and we will definitely be back. This place is a gym, do the walking tour, our guide was amazing. Do the glass boat tour, the guide was amazing. This is my new fav place and all the staff were amazing people.

Nice hotel, staff was amazing, food was good. The spa was my favorite experience at this property. I didn't like that they tried to sell us wine on multiple occasions -at an all inclusive. You cant make a hibachi reservation in advance but when you get there, there are no availabilities. A good portion of the beach had seaweed so we had less area to swim.

From the moment we got to the property it was the beginning of an amazing vacation. The staff was engaging and welcoming. They greeted us with "welcome home" and made us feel at home. If you are looking for relaxation with your spouse you will find it here and don't need to leave the resort. Most of the staff are the friendliest we've encountered. I say most because there is always one person who is having a bad day. We will definitely come back and spend more time at this fabulous resort.

We went here for our holiday this year and omggg. I'm sooo happy we did, it was also my birthday as well so we did it up. Jamaica is amazing, the food, the people and this hotel was absolutely fantastic, it had everything you can think of. The restaurant were all good, very clean. They definitely go above and beyond. The room service, the house keepers, the bartenders and the entertainment was all excellent. I will definitely be back.

Every aspect of my stay was amazing, from the clean open beach area to a relaxing room. But what made this resort stand out to me the most is the Preferred Club Receptionist, Anika. She got us through the check in process fast and very friendly. As our time there went on, she made a point to interact with us when we walked through the lobby. One day she worked an extremely long shift and when we said good night, so was just as chipper as she was first thing in the morning. She was back the next am, and you would never would of know she was only gone a couple hours. She greats everyone with a warm genuine smile and makes a point to make people feel at home.

We had a wonderful time here. There were a few issues that made me rate it a 4 instead of 5. We went during the off season so they are doing renovations to the property, and of course the construction was right outside our room. We were livid, the noise was so loud and unbearable. We talked to concierge and I also put a scathing review in the Hyatt Inclusive app that night and they moved us to a nicer room on the Preferred side the next day. So, first day was a loss because we arrived around noon and had to wait until 3 to check in...which is standard with these resorts but we were so tired from the travel we just wanted to get settled in our room. The Preferred side was nice..the room was pretty much the same though with the exception of having a jacuzzi on the balcony. The ocean view was lovely. The pool was quiet on the Preferred side, but we were incredibly disappointed to find out they charge for the cabanas...$100-$350 a day! That's so crazy when we spent almost $6000 to stay there a week. The restaurants were good and the entertainment was decent. The only draw back to staying on the Preferred side is that there's a lot a walking back and forth to get to the main restaurants since it's 2 resorts together. Overall we did enjoy our stay and many of the staff were wonderful and made our stay more pleasant. They will drive you on the golf carts if you need it. Billy Love (15 year tenured employee) and Chevaughn were exceptional. We probably won't go back to Secrets though. There's just so many other resorts with better amenities and free cabanas on the beach and by the pool. We go to the Caribbean to relax and lounge by the pool and on the beach so that makes a difference to us. The spa was excellent though. And just a warning if you're thinking about getting married there...it literally rains at almost the same time every day. We saw several weddings get rained out. We went there during Jamaican Independence Day, so that was cool since they had a few celebrations on the property.

Review of St. James Montego Bay, Jamaica I recently stayed at St. James Montego Bay to celebrate my 50th birthday, and I’d like to share my honest experience. Arrival & Room: Upon arrival, it was raining heavily, and we waited about 45 minutes in reception before being directed to our room. As members, we had requested a birthday banner in advance, but unfortunately this was never honored despite several follow-ups. The room itself was in good condition with comfortable bedding, crisp linens, and a beautiful ocean view from the balcony. We also had a hot tub, which was a wonderful extra touch. However, we were shocked to discover two pairs of dirty underwear left in the shower. Given that we were told there were two housekeepers (day and night), this oversight was disappointing and concerning. Food & Dining: Food was available from morning until night, though most venues closed for two hours to prepare for dinner. As a foodie, I would rate the overall food about 4.5/10. The highlight was our rooftop dinner at Breathless, which I would rate five stars—it was by far the best dining experience at the resort, along with the jerk chicken truck (though wait times were long). The grills also had extended waits (25–30 minutes for chicken), which was surprising given that the resort was only about 50% occupied. Breakfast, however, was excellent with a wide buffet selection and welcoming service. Service & Staff: Service was inconsistent. While we enjoyed renting a cabana, there were several times we had to get up to get our own food and drinks. It’s important to note that, although gratuity is included, having cash for tipping made a noticeable difference in service quality. On one occasion at El Pato, the service was so poor and uncomfortable that we left without finishing our meal and did not return. The most concerning issue happened at the front desk. When checking in, staff asked my sisters and me if we were married. When we said yes, they followed up by asking if we were “married married,” and then questioned why we weren’t wearing wedding rings. This exchange was extremely inappropriate, uncomfortable, and left me feeling uneasy about both security and respect at the resort. This is something management should address immediately. Entertainment & Atmosphere: On a positive note, the entertainment options we experienced were enjoyable. We loved the Silent Disco and Bob Marley night—both had a great atmosphere, music, and energy. Overall: While there were some enjoyable aspects—the ocean view, rooftop dining, entertainment, and price point—there were too many missed opportunities for excellence. Between housekeeping oversights, inconsistent service, long food wait times, and especially the inappropriate questioning at the front desk, my experience fell short of expectations for such a special occasion. I will return to Montego Bay in the future, but moving forward, I plan to stay at Sandals to see if they can earn my loyalty.

1st time visiting Jamaica and after weeks worth of homework online we found a dream come true. Everything about The RockHouse, it's sister resort The Skylark and all of the experiences and amenities are several steps above the rest. Right out of a romantic exploration novel. We were lucky to find this diamond in the rocks. Definitely planning to return for a longer stay soon.

Love this place for breakfast and dinner! Fresh fruit juices and coffee were wonderful! Staying here was worth it for a weekend. Loved the private cliff jumping, and the infinity pool at happy hour. only downside was a GIANT cockroach in our bathroom. But we were practically sleeping outside so, comes with the territory. Didn’t see him again after the first night. 😝

We loved our six night stay at Rockhouse! Nothing beats jumping into the water right outside of your villa. We loved taking the shuttle to the sister hotel during the day to sit on a white sand beach. One bless of rock house is the isolation. In other beaches, people are constantly soliciting and you have to say “no thank you” every 10 minutes. Rock house is private. The place is just as stunning as the pictures! Service is great!!!!

Lovely place, this was one of two hotels we’ve stayed on this trip and honestly we could’ve stayed longer! The staff was pleasant the rooms and views didn’t disappoint, they’re exactly if not better than in the pictures. The SPA was also nice, not much to it. The location was ideal if you rented a car you had more options, but I also saw lots of vacationers walking as well. Hotel food was not great, stale and lacked flavor, compared to the food in the island. Felt safe, we traveled with our two teens, we paddle boarded and jumped off cliffs. Definitely a quiet hotel that was meant to relax.

We are ex-hipsters and slightly over 50, so as opposed to the Skylark (also nice but not quite right for us), the Rockhouse's peace and tranquility, unique location overlooking the sea and the cove, proximity to its 2 restaurants, the amazing spa, salt water pool, pool bar, and pool Jerk food counter was perfect. The staff are just all super helpful and friendly and are themselves in that you don't get a vibe you're speaking to hospitality robots. No hotel is perfect so my only real suggestion would be a relatively easy one I think, that the outdoor villa showers be upgraded to rain shower heads instead of the very basic ones in there now. All that said, we would love to return.

I absolutely loves the atmosphere of this place. If you are looking for something relaxing that's just the place for you. It's very quite and the staff is very nice.

Absolutely LOVELY stay at Jake's! The staff are amazing, the property is STUNNING, and the food is excellent. It was so nice to be able to order whatever you needed, whenever needed, to have access to the water, local restaurants, as well as local shops. Our room was clean; The resort itself is so peaceful - you could not leave the grounds and still have a lovely time. Every cabana is like its own private world. We did not use the massage, spa, or game room, but lovely additions to the vacation. I would HIGHLY recommend the boat excursion with Captain Dennis- you won't regret it- and the resort's gift shop for little treasures. Though the drive from the airport is long, and pretty bumpy, it is WORTH the travel. Hands down the best place to stay on Treasure Beach!

Nice little spot, we stayed here for 2 days we enjoyed the doc and watching the stars at night. The sound of the waves are soothing. Room was clean which is a must for me. It’s nice that we get coffee for mornings and a mini fridge. I would recommend this hotel.

Jake’s is a beautifully designed hotel with great food and staff. Everyone was friendly and each room and villa is unique. The design of the pool, bar and garden is stunning. And it’s right next door to Jack Sprat’s, which has some of the best seafood in the Caribbean, and easy access to Treasure Beach, which is off the beaten path and authentic. If you want all-inclusive resorts, go to a different island. If you want to make the most of Jamaica, go here.

Jakes is great! Amazing hospitality and a beautiful resort. Big ups all Jake’s crew. We stayed at Seadragon and it was wonderful. A few blocks off property, but in a cool neighborhood. Rowena was a great concierge, Kay is a phenomenal chef and Lloyd is the best driver in the world. Thanks so much for a great time. #Respect

Jake’s was a great stay. We stayed in the ocean front room and it was glorious. Falling asleep to the waves crashing on the rocks was worth the price. The beach is accessible from the hotel, it’s walking distance to Jack Sprat, Smurf’s Cafe, Eggys and more. It’s extremely peaceful and while kid friendly it wasn’t noises. While I was apprehensive at first, I really enjoyed the outdoor shower, it is a great touch. If you’re looking for a tranquil place to relax and get away from the crowds, this is a great place!

My family stayed at the Seadragon cottage here and loved everything about it. The cottage was beautiful. The entrance gate resembles a sea dragon, and leads to beautiful greenery and the front door. The inside is extremely open, and every room has a door or multiple that lead to the outside. My favorite thing was waking up and opening my door to the outside. There was 3 floors, very open and outside as well. There was 5 bathrooms and 6 showers, 2 outdoor. They offered two free rides a day and a private chef. We used the private chef on our final day which was my dads birthday, she made us large portions of the best food I had my entire time in Jamaica and she baked a cake that was so amazing and moist and perfect. For the rest of our meals we usually walked, from the cottage there was a good amount of food options. Lashings was a very close option that we ate at a few times, we also utilized nearby grocery stores that were very close to the property. One night we got driven to Jake’s and had an amazing meal. I recommend their pasta. Another thing that makes this such a great place to stay is all the excursions they offer, our first night we did Tile Mosaics with Rhonda which I would highly recommend. She came to our cottage and gave us all the resources we needed to create. When we were done Rhonda took our projects home to make sure they turned out perfectly. Rhonda was truly the greatest person I’ve ever met, we invited her over to our cottage and gave her some cake. Her dogs were also adorable. The next place we went to was the Pelican Bar, another excursion I highly recommend. It’s a bar that’s on the ocean, that you need to take a boat to. The people were extremely friendly and they let my dad DJ. We planned to also go snorkeling, but apparently July is a very windy time for Jamaica so the seas were too rough for it, so we went to YS falls instead. This place was cool, but I wish that it was an all day pass for the price. It’s a beautiful waterfall though and we got some amazing photos thanks to our guide, I just think it would be fun if you could stay at the falls for more then an hour. But the 4 pools were super fun, and the chicken strips were delectable. Overall, this place is too amazing to even describe in words. I had the best vacation ever, this place offers too much for me to even fit it all in. I felt like true luxury living in that house for a bit, i’m saddened to leave. Thanks so much for the amazing experience.

Lunch with a view at Jakes (July 2025) We had an incredible experience at Jakes! I’m Jamaican and here are all the pros and some things to consider. - Ambiance & Parking The restaurant is open to the public and the entrance is clearly marked with a sign for “Jakes”. Parking near the entrance is limited, but we found a spot easily. Once you arrive just walk through the small gate and follow the path that leads to the restaurant overlooking views of the ocean. The whole place has a laid-back vibe that instantly puts you at ease. - Menu & Wait Time The menu is written on a chalkboard near the seating area and it changes daily. Grab a seat and someone will come by to take your order. This is not a fast food spot, everything is made fresh and takes about 30 minutes, so plan ahead for a wait. You can enjoy a drink, good conversation and take in the view. Note that breakfast ends at 11am sharp, lunch is from 12pm-4pm and dinner starts at 5pm. - Prices & Payment The food and service exceeded my expectations! I was talking about this meal for days! The Lobster in Coconut Cream and the Otaheite Apple dessert is a must — both were standouts and the best we’ve ever had (the lobster was seasoned to perfection and just melts in your mouth). The spicy jerk pasta was good but on the milder side, so skip it if you’re looking for heat. I also ordered the coconut pie, if you love coconut, this dessert is for you! I had shredded coconut pieces throughout. Prices are what you would expect, but well worth it (2 main courses and 2 desserts came out to $82.80 USD / $12,420 JMD). They accept cash and card. I highly recommend, and have already planned my next date to return. Run don’t walk! Thank you for a 10/10 experience Jakes!

Have been 3 times, last 2 visits we stayed in the suite which was beautiful. Amazing views. The ocean is the draw but if you can't get in due to mobility issues don't go here for the pool. It's so small and just weird. Service at lunch was painfully slow. We were the only ones there ordering lunch, one couple was finishing breakfast, and we waited an HOUR for food.

What a beautiful place and amazing scenery. Food was great and so we're the cocktail's. It's was from the busy area of ricks cafe. Lovely service and Jason our waiter was amazing. Definitely highly recommend.

Gorgeous! We spent four nights in the Sky room and our whole experience at Catcha Falling Star was wonderful. The location is absolutely breathtaking; the view over the Caribbean Sea never gets tiring, no matter the weather or time of day. Our room was comfortable and spacious, with an incredible private balcony. Great air conditioning. Mini fridge and microwave in the room. Even though the property is on the secluded cliffs, it’s still Jamaica and there is still music to be heard all day from Rick’s and a little bit into the night (10pm or so) from the restaurant and nearby properties. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous, with all of the gorgeous flowers and trees. Taxis were easy to flag down and airport transfers are easy to arrange. There is a little store across the street with drinks, snacks, coffee, lotion etc. There are a smattering of chairs and umbrellas around the property along with a small little pool. This area is only accessible to guests, which I appreciated. I was able to get a lounge chair every day. The perfect place to relax and read. There are a few restaurants in the area, but we ended up eating at Ivan’s for every meal. Every one of the staff was great and fun and elevated the experience. The food was delicious. My husband greatly enjoyed the fresh fish. As a vegetarian I had some options, but I am always happy to see a few more:) On our first day, the chef made a special dish for me and came out to introduce himself and check on us. I consider myself very fortunate to have stayed at Catcha, and would absolutely return should I ever go back to Negril. We spent another four nights on the beach, and if I were to return I’d spend all of my nights at Catcha!

Staff was friendly and accommodating. But resturant service was lacking. Wonderful sea views. Was fortunate enough to see 6 dolphins and a barracuda!! What a treat. Property has great nighttime ambiance. Stayed in Sun Suite, which I loved. It's large and can accommodate several people IMO. Also visited Gemini II (I believe), Gatehouse and Venus.

A magical little resort! This resort is right by the famous Rick's Cafe and in the Cliffs of Negril. Its beautiful the views and the staff were very welcoming and accommodating. The rooms are a little dated but the beds are comfy and the shower is hot. I didnt care for the on site restaurant but many seemed to enjoy it. I will definitely return here again for a nice peaceful getaway!

Me and my husband are currently staying here and usually I wait until after our trip to give a review but this place exceeds all our expectations. The staff is wonderful. Especially Chris the maintenance man and Vee with house keeping. We will be returning.

My sister and I have just spent 7 nights at the Cliff. It's a beautiful location, however in my opinion it is lacking a lot. The rooms are clean and spacious and well equipped with all what you need. Although, I expected the Cliff to be a quiet place to visit and we always avoid large, busy chain hotels. Unfortunately, the hotel was a dull place to stay and there was no evening entertainment. I was particularly suprised that no one from management checked in with us to find out if we were enjoying our stay. This is very unusual for a Jamaican hotel.There were two members of staff who were exceptional - Deano and Tamara- There was a reasonable selection of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Jamaican dishes were fairly tasty, we found that the oxtail and curry goat required longer cooking and was quite tough and not enjoyable. The head chef did not appreciate my feedback about the ribs being burnt and not tender. Based on the reviews I thought I had made a good choice choosing the Cliff. As a result of our experience, I would not return or recommend the Cliff to friends & family as well our travel company. Fortunately, we are now spending a week at the Jamaica Inn in Ochio Rios, which has already demonstrated excellent customer service and communication.

An introvert's sweet escape! During our stay around the end of April, we were told the hotel was at 40% capacity. The property is relatively small, the grounds well kept and overall absolutely serene. We would see less than 10 people at any given time, and the place was just empty at nights that it felt like we were taking a quiet stroll around our own luxury villa. The cliffside was beautiful but also a little scary when the sun wasn't out because the open water would just feel ominous...but there was also a little cove to relax and tread within. We initially booked for two nights but we enjoyed the one whole day we had so much that we booked another night just to have another whole day again on the grounds. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone who loves a quiet getaway. It would also be great for family and friends as there are indoor and outdoor spaces great for conversation and games.

Enjoyed a lovely time here with my girlfriend’s family. There was 10 of us. The staff made us feel like family. The food was outstanding at Zest and pool and bar service top notch. I highly recommend the spa services too. Stay here when visiting Negril.

I had an absolute dream stay at The Cliffs at Negril Resort & Spa! The views from my villa were simply breathtaking - the infinity pool seemed to blend seamlessly into the ocean, and the sunsets were pure magic. The villas themselves were luxurious and impeccably designed, with every detail thoughtfully considered. The staff were warm and welcoming, providing exceptional service without being intrusive. The resort's secluded location added to its charm, and the private beach was a tranquil oasis. I loved the variety of activities on offer, from yoga and wellness classes to snorkeling and exploring the nearby coves. The spa treatments were heavenly, and the food was incredible - fresh, locally-sourced ingredients and creative presentation. If you're looking for a romantic getaway or simply a relaxing retreat, The Cliffs is a true paradise. I'll be dreaming of returning to this slice of heaven!

What an incredible trip. This hotel was so awesome and so beautifully located me and my husband were there for 5 days and we only left the property twice to eat dinner at Murphy's & The Rockhouse. We fell in love with this beachfront property and how there is no sandy beach but actual cliffs! We have never seen anything like it. Great rooms, spacious and clean. Lovely, fun and warm staff & the food served there was delicious. Can't recommend The Cliff more highly.

This resort is absolutely outstanding. Visited for the Gourmet Getaway and meals and entertainment were excellent. Rooms are gorgeous and so perfect for a restful stay. I recently had the pleasure of spending four nights at The Caves in Negril, and I can confidently say that it ranks among the best hotel experiences I have ever had. From the incredible service to the breathtaking surroundings, every detail was designed to provide a truly memorable getaway. The service at The Caves is exceptional. The staff are incredibly attentive and know just when to step in, but also respect your space, making you feel like you are part of the family rather than just a guest. This personal touch really sets the tone for the entire experience. The vibe of the hotel is wonderfully laid-back and charming, and with the low room density, it feels as though you have the entire place to yourself, which is rare for a resort of this caliber. The food at The Caves was nothing short of spectacular. Every meal was delicious, and the variety of options available ensures that there is something for everyone. The soups, in particular, were a highlight for me. I still find myself daydreaming about them. If you’re a food lover, you will not be disappointed by the culinary offerings here. The setting of the hotel is truly remarkable. The cliffs overlooking the crystal-clear waters of the Caribbean provide a sense of tranquility and beauty that is hard to match. Stacey, Osteena, Randy, Omar, and pretty much all the staff at The Caves did an outstanding job. My husband and I felt pampered during our stay. We did not have to ask for things because it was like they could read our minds and were a step ahead to make us feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible. I love that The Caves is big enough for you to feel that you have the place to yourself but small enough to make you feel like you're not just a number like the big-touristy resorts. The Cave dinner is a must! It was magical and worth every penny! We had the massages as well and they were amazing. Without a doubt, the Caves will have us coming back! With Love, Lina

We were there for 3 nights a few weeks ago for my sisters birthday and it was incredible! This was a last minute add on to our trip and I am so so thankful I splurged for it as the relaxation was just what I needed. The price is a bit higher than other all inclusive stays but on my opinion the privacy and limited guest you get for the cost is a huge benefit as neither she nor I are fans of big touristy places. The limited rooms here (something like only 10) made the entire experience feel more personal. The staff was great and went out of their way to make my sister feel special for her birthday and I absolutely plan to go back for my next milestone birthday or engagement or really whatever occasion I can use to justify it. All the employees we encountered were helpful and friendly but also stayed out of your way (unlike some places I’ve been where they tend to hover) unless needed. Stacy for breakfast and lunch is amazing, really worth her weight in gold and incredibly friendly and relatable. If we could we’d have her pack up a platter of banana pancakes and hope on a plane to come visit us. The rest of the food was delicious as well. Due to the last minute booking on my part we ended up having to switch rooms after the first night and we were equally happy in both of them. The views are amazing and the beds cozy and comfortable. The bathrooms were a little dated and I think some of the negative reviews called the rooms “rustic” which I can see but for the vibe and location that is perfectly fitting. This isn’t a snooty boutique type hotel with the latest smart TVs and glitz and glam but a local Caribbean focus on who you are with type of place that encourages visitors to enjoy the crystal blue waters, breathtaking views, and relaxing. Both rooms we had were more than adequate and for our needs and expectations perfectly. I could go on and on but at the end of the day I’ll live it with at I will 100 percent be back. Any of you looking at reviews to make a decision, go for it! Just make sure there is a room left open for me!

My husband and I went here for our honeymoon.. Hands down the best food I have ever had so fresh and flavorful. The service was top notch all the staff were so nice and helpful. What to say about the location... Breath taking... To the sunsets or just the sounds of the waves crashing in the caves all day and night was so peaceful and relaxing. I never thought I could actually be that relaxed in my life and it happened here... I want to give a big shout out to some of the staff Stacey she was so sweet and gave good advice on trying all the food and I don't regret taking that advice! Glenn was amazing he gave us the best service my husband loves the drinks he said Glenn makes them the best! Glenn and Zoom gave us amazing service on our private caves dinners. If you can do the caves dinner don't pass it up it's an amazing experience and beautiful setting the way they set everything up. ❤️❤️ We definitely are planning another trip back we decided that less then 1 day of being on the property and it only got better the more days we stayed...

Wow, just wow. We were there in June for 3 nights. The food was so good. The staff so kind, informative and willing to talk. This place was truly relaxation. The views were beautiful. It is an all inclusive with set meals and times. The food was 5 stars. The property and rooms could use some upkeep, but that is so small. There was Ac in the rooms which with turn down service windows were closed and AC on for a great night sleep. Waking up to incredible views. If you are looking to relax, enjoy your surroundings, eat good food this is the place for you. If you are looking for loud music, activities non stop this would not be the place for you. My soul was recharged after staying. Enjoy

This was the best resort we have been to and we truly can't wait to visit again! The people we met in Negril and at the Caves were each welcoming, friendly, and made you feel right at home upon arrival. My wife is a vegetarian and tends to be difficult to cook for. I am easier and eat all foods, but have previously had trouble with all inclusive resorts. Every single meal prepared for us by the Caves was OUTSTANDING, among the best food we have ever eaten. So good that we have been trying to replicate their dishes and style of cooking at home. The views at the Caves are among the best I can imagine, definitely the best water views we have experienced. There are at least 5 or 6 platforms of various heights along the cliffs to jump into the beautiful turquoise blue ocean water below. Sometimes we would order our drink, walk 15 feet to the cliff ledge platform, jump in, and by the time we climbed the stairs back up the drinks were ready from the blender. There are several caves that you can relax or dine in. We highly recommend the cave dinner, it's an additional fee, but you dine for hours at sunset by candlelight in a gorgeous cave as water crashes into the rocks. Stunningly serene. You can actually hear the water crashing on the rocks at night which makes for some of the coolest ambience we've experienced. We did a couples' massage and that was pretty epic as well, beautiful all around. The resort is quiet, with just 11 rooms for guests to stay in there aren't a lot of people around. Theres almost always some gentle reggae tunes in the distance during the day, which we enjoyed. Our room was a 2 story 2 bedroom cabana with outdoor shower and upstairs balcony overlooking the water. Incredible. A few other rooms locked nice too, each seems unique. This resort connects natural beauty of Negril and the unique caves and cliffs landscape with the pathways you'll walk through. Be sure to pet and feed the kitty, smell the flowers, and enjoy the lizards. If you can't climb stairs or ladders very well, and want a traditional beach resort, this probably isn't the resort for you. We did take an inexpensive cab to the beach nearby and crafts market, so that's an easy option if you want to venture off the resort. The resort staff arranged that for us to see some of Negril. But honestly the Caves resort was so incredibly nice (and we didn't want to miss their lunch) we only stayed at the beach for an hour or so to cool off from the market before heading back to the Caves for food and snorkeling. Can't wait to visit again!

I stayed at the Terra Nova Hotel in February of 2025 with a group of family members for my brother's wedding. Even though my trip did not go as planned due to me being ill, I must say that my stay was a great one. I love the antique decor and design of the hotel, very homely feel. My room was amazing, spacious and comfortable. I love that they also provided a pullout bed option since it was three of us staying in the room even though it was a king-size bed. The room is equipped with a coffee/tea maker along with a small refrigerator. I was in love with the bathroom, I had a tub and shower, his or hers sink along with a heated floor. I was truly comfortable with my room. For breakfast, they had a wide variety of dishes to choose from, something for everyone, including the kids. I fell ill at breakfast and even though my family members were present the staff were very accommodating and gave much assistance. I truly appreciated it. I want to give a special thank you to Navion who assisted us initially with our bags and also, came to my rescue when I fell ill, he is truly a courteous and kind soul, he showed empathy and care. I believe he is a great asset to your organization and should be commended. In addition, all the other staff members that I came across were courteous and made our stay a beautiful one. I recommend the Terra Nova Hotel with no hesitation. Thank you all for being so accommodating and for making our stay a great one. I will be back soon.

I had a great stay at this hotel! The location was perfect, with an amazing parking option that made everything so convenient. The staff were incredibly friendly—special shoutout to Abigail and Sherica at reception who went above and beyond. I also ordered room service and the food was delicious—highly recommend the burger with grilled root veggies! Would definitely stay here again.

Visited the restaurant for a birthday dinner celebration. The staff was friendly but unprofessional, a little too familiar for my taste. The wait was unduly long and the meals were served haphazardly... one meal was served more than 15 minutes before the other two. One meal was the wrong order, waiter served from the wrong side, repeatedly. Dessert ordered never arrived. Just a tacky and unprofessional service, I never associated with Terra Nova.

The hotels not great! As a new hotel, we had an alarm trigger, which caused security to turn up banging on the room…with my partner in the shower!! The lights didn’t work properly & the we had a ringing go off in room for 5 minutes after 8 hours in the part not what you want. Skip this hotel, it’s not ready.

Came for dinner and took 10 min for a water and the place was empty, I came for apperently the best burger on the island but instead got the biggest hair on the first bite of the burger. When I complained the manger Richard he looked like he was in his own world, didnt even offer to take the burger off my bill, do not rrcomend and avoid the resterant

My mom worked there when I was a kid so I booked it to reflect. Had to cancel over 40 days out because my spouse's visa was denied to connect through the USA from Asia. I cancelled over 40 days out and they wouldn't refund the $306 USD. Will never consider them again. Better off trying Pegasus.

I had a wonderful stay at the S Hotel. From the moment I arrived, the reception with Moya was welcoming and professional, making check-in a smooth and pleasant experience. At the restaurant, Francine, Janice, and Winston provided exceptional service—friendly, attentive, and always with a smile. The food at both the restaurant and the coffee shop was absolutely delicious! I especially enjoyed the oxtail, escovitch fish, and snapper—all cooked to perfection and full of flavor. Overall, my experience was fantastic, and I would highly recommend the S Hotel to anyone looking for excellent service, warm hospitality, and amazing cuisine.

I had a wonderful experience at the S Hotel. I arrived a little early, but check-in was smooth, with a refreshing cold welcome drink. Breakfast was outstanding, especially the black chicken stew. The pool area was relaxing. Dinner was also enjoyable, with polite and friendly service. The rooms were spotless and well-appointed. Every member of staff I encountered was warm and professional. This hotel exceeded my expectations, and I’ll definitely be back on my business trips.

Our recent stay at S hotel Kingston was an absolute delight, exceeding our expectations from the moment we arrived. The staff at the front desk were exceptionally welcoming and efficient, making our check-in process smooth and pleasant. Our room was upgraded by management as I informed them that it was our year wedding anniversary in which we were very happy, our room was spacious and impeccably clean, we had a lovely view. I stayed at the S Hotel for about 7 days. The staff was lovely and the rooms were cleaned and services everyday which is also optional. The food was great and the atmosphere was calm. It is also at a great location, central to many places you can get to with ease. I will definitely return and I recommend it to anyone who will be visiting Kingston.

I am writing to express my profound disappointment concerning my recent stay at Hisbiscus Lodge hotel. Upon my arrival, I discovered that there were no wash clothes available, which was quite inconvenient. I immediately brought this to the attention of the front desk agent, but unfortunately, they informed me that the room category I booked don't come with wash clothes. After a long day of traveling, I was looking forward to a refreshing shower. The unavailability of basic amenities significantly detracted from my overall experience. It left me feeling frustrated and inconvenienced, as I was unable to freshen up properly. I believe this situation reflects poorly on the standards of your hospitality. I sincerely hope that this issue is addressed promptly to prevent similar occurrences in the future for other guest as this is a basic amenities that even a motel provides. The agent at the front desk didn't even show any empaty. How do you expect a person to shower after a long day of travel, where in the world you go on stay at a hotel and the informed you that wash clothes only available to certain category room. Oh I forgot only at Hibiscus Lodge.

A great venue for a wedding. The Hibiscus Lodge offers a beautiful of the Caribbean Sea. A quiet atmosphere, and a wonderfully accommodating staff. When rain arrived, the team handled the transition indoors quickly and smoothly, which was so impressive. The food was great, and the location is very easy to find, close to Ocho Ríos town. A truly seamless and enjoyable experience from start to finish.

The rooms were clean and the grounds were beautiful. The noise from the church next door went late (after 10:30pm) but it was otherwise quiet. The location is great too -a very short walk to all of the shops and the beach.

This is a small property right on Main St. Easy access to shops, supermarkets, beaches and restaurants. It is our 3rd time here, the cleanliness and service we receive is excellent. Big shout to Barry (Waiter) who served us most times at breakfast. The food is very good and the view of the Caribbean sea is breathtaking. Do not hesitate to come to Hibiscus Lodge.

It is a very nice intimate place, looking over the ocean, the bar area was very nice. breakfast area was also very nice, all looking over the ocean clear beautiful water. We didn't get a chance to eat dinner there, but I assume it is nice also. We got basic room because we're going to all-inclusive resort for a wedding in two days. I know they probably have even nicer rooms. I would have rather stayed there than the RCI resort. So if you are looking at a place that is not crowded. And is intimate that is the place to go. I will return and upgrade my room. But don't go to restaurants that is down the street from the lodge unless you know the exchange rate because they will try to cheap you. The reason I gave the location a 3 is because the surrounding area isn't nice looking. But once you walk into lodge, you are in a whole different and beautiful area.

Such a lovely place. My mom and I loved our time here. The views were amazing, staff was so so wonderful. Couldn't have asked for a better stay. Breakfast was phenomenal-- amazing chefs. Rooms were clean. I love this place whole heartedly.

This is the gem of seven mile beach. I’ve been going to Negril for many years and just discovered it this year. This will be home away from home for many years to come. Our room was steps from the beach, yet quiet and very clean. My only suggestion would be to add another ac unit in the living room area as there is only one in the bedroom. It cools the entire room but not as cold as I would like it. The staff is amazing. Everyone we interacted with was so pleasant and always aim to please. I highly recommend idle Awhile. Don’t consider staying anywhere else.

Absolutely loved it here. The rooms were peaceful, air worked and the food was phenomenal. The staff made the stay even more memorable. Will definitely return.

This is a review for the Beach resort. I can say that it is deserving of its high scores as it's a really lovely place. The staff are happy, helpful and hospitable. The location is brilliant as the strip of the beach they are on is clean and quiet. It was so quiet that we saw barracudas, rays, star fish and small coral fish. The only downside is that on one day jellyfish arrived and stung plenty of people but the bar staff quickly stepped in to administer first aid. The views of the sunset are beautiful as was the lightning especially at night. Plus it's easy to get to the shops, other restaurants or get a taxi to go on excursions from here either by asking the receptionist to book, using Uber or getting a passing one. The kayaks, trampoline and paddle boards are fun and more importantly free. They have a permanent beach security guard and a lifeguard during the days (except Sunday). They have ample sun loungers, umbrellas and beach towels. The service on the beach bar is great. They are so friendly and go the extra mile. They explained when we checked in that the kitchen was small so food service is not immediate which was fine as it was worth waiting for. Room service is free, you get a welcome free drink and they take your luggage across to your room. If you are after a no fuss, friendly clean, budget conscious place to stay in Negril then this is the place.

Once again, the team at IdleAwhile impresses and satisfies. As a repeat guest, I consider my trips to Negril complete after a stay with the excellence in management and hospitality skills at this small resort. I have deep respect for the staff and vision of the owners of the facilities. The setting is aesthetically chic and tasteful in a minimalist and soothing style. Xavian, General Manager is fantastic. Colleen, Nicholas, and Tiona at the front end set the stage of professionalism…Jason, a Jack of all trades is right there with assistance with bags and dining…Then, my goodness, the staff at the restaurant…Mister Carlson, the stateman of the pack, is very elegant and has a grand sense of humor that is not to be rivaled… Then there's Shane, Hopeton, Jermaine, Leona, Claudia, Delroy…All to be commended for their curation and delivery of fine service. Can never forget the Lifeguards, Odey and Anthony are off-the-charts fantastic, taking great care of guests and bringing about ease, safety and good vibes in a paradise setting. The drivers they recommended from the airport have also been vetted and provide excellence in care. Bless them all… I will return.

Felt like home away from home just on the most beautiful beach in Jamaica with zero seaweed!! I rate the food 7 out of 10 but there’s literally so many restaurants you could walk to in the day or evening. Also they don’t sell water bottles but they do give you reusable water bottles to fill up with their purified water fountain (which is free) but we just bought a case of water at the store just to have easy convenience in our mini fridge in the room. The resort is relaxing, beautiful and chill during the day and quiet at night with a mix of 60% older couples, 30% families and 10% of a younger crowd. This hotel is clean with great hospitality (: overall great experience. I would definitely tell anyone that needs a reset to come here! A BIG PLUS beach chairs and umbrellas don’t run out and they will set it up on the beach premises whenever you like (((:

It was the perfect getaway! I own a restaurant in NYC, which means I live a hectic, nonstop life. As a Diamond member with Hilton, I rarely have the time to truly travel and indulge myself. I can usually only get away for a quick two-day trip — unless it’s something really special. This time, I went with my sister and my daughter for a three-day stay. The journey wasn’t short: a six-hour flight (with delays) followed by a three-hour car ride to the location. But let me tell you — if I had to do it all over again, I’d do it without hesitation. The staff was exceptional. From the guest service agents on the phone, to the waitresses and even the maintenance crew picking coconuts — everyone was kind, welcoming, and professional. I can be a tough person to impress, but this hotel and its service went far beyond five stars. It felt like my personal home on the island. The views were breathtaking, the rooms were spacious and completely private. I’m already looking forward to my next stay… and I just left.

Lovely resort. The villas are spacious and clean and the property is beautiful and well kept. What stands out the most is the service . Every single individual that we met was remarkably friendly , professional and just awesome. I hope I don’t leave any names out ( or spell wrong ) but Feola, Ajay, Aneek, , Desmond, Trudy , Teresa , Michael were all unbelievable! They were patient and kind with our small children. While this resort is perfect it’s not really for kiddos mainly because it’s secluded . However it’s an absolute perfect getaway for couples , groups of friends etc . The staff did a great job entertaining the kids at the gorgeous private beach and every morning Feona made them special juices. The food was really good . Highly recommend. Also the cleaning crew was awesome!!!

Andre, Demetry, Ian, Desmond, along with the remainding staff, over the course of 2 days have been relentless in their efforts to ensure that I, along, with my vehicle remained safe as I encountered mechanical failure during the process of leaving the property. From offering water, to calling mechanics, to electricians directly to the property; I am honestly speechless at the level of customer service illustrated and displayed by Andre and his staff, and MANAGEMENT. It’s worth every penny. I swear the next step would have been maybe them even securing a helicopter ride back to catch my returning flight haha. That all being said, I am speechless and beyond grateful for all the work the Trident staff has been engaged in to assist me in the debacle. I wish the staff the best of luck on all future endeavors at Trident because Trident has always and will always feel like home. Andre thank you for a kindness that can never be repaid. Like securing transport to get me into town to get food, clothes, etc, then back to T3. God Bless you all.

A nice little spot right on Seven Mile Beach in Negril. I didn’t see the name come up right away when I was searching for a place to stay, but I’m glad I found this spot. It’s on the “quieter” end of the beach, although it is next to Margaritaville so there is loud music throughout the day. But that can’t be avoided anywhere on this beach. Our room was comfortable with lots of space to move around. Big bathroom, a couch, mini fridge, and a weird TV that we could never get to work. There is a pool, but we didn’t use it as the gorgeous beach and sea are just a few steps further. The beach chairs are for hotel guests only, so we never had a problem getting a chair. I liked how the palm trees made the spot feel a little secluded and private. Security on the spot at all times, if that is important to you. I also REALLY appreciated that there was breakfast included with the room rate. Would be nice to see more vegetarian options on the lunch and dinner menus. Overall a nice little spot on Seven Mile Beach, would stay again

Lovely little place with cottage feel . Rooms clean and tidy couldn’t want for more . Breakfast was 10 out of 10 took a while but cooked all fresh. Staff I felt was a little un happy always on there’s phones and when going up to the bar or asking for ice cream felt like I was problem . People not listening to pool rules so can hear people in pool before 9 and after 6 sometimes well into midnight. Also for days out it is an area that is far away from most planned trips so expect when doing them to be a good 12-14 hour days.

Country Country Hotel in Negril, Jamaica: "Country Country Hotel is lovely and eccentric, right on the beach. It has a bar and serves great food in the restaurant. The rooms are clean, and the superior or premium rooms have balconies. The hotel is small and quaint, so it's not overcrowded, and it's directly on the beach. The staff is great, and I didn't have any issues or need to request anything during either of my two stays. It's a great choice for any traveler looking for a relaxing and secure beach vacation. It's not too expensive but still offers excellent customer service and quality rooms. Gary, the bartender, is funny and made our trip enjoyable, and the waitresses at the restaurant were sweet and nice. Just go see it – it's beautiful!" We had a blast!!! See you soon.. I will be back..❤️

Country Country was recommended to us by good friends who had stayed there many times. They raved about the service, the breakfast and accommodations. They were right about it ALL! We had an amazing vacation. The staff was kind, courteous and capable. All of the grounds were well kept & our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was filling and delicious. You cannot beat the location. You wake up just steps from the ocean! Plenty of lounge chairs-choose sun or under a palm or umbrella. 7 mile beach is a perfect place to be. Just steps from plenty of bars & restaurants. We cannot wait to return.

A very good hotel: beautiful grounds, delicious breakfasts, and a large supermarket nearby. The room was cleaned every day. What’s important – the internet connection is quite decent throughout the hotel, except inside the rooms. On the veranda, it worked perfectly. One thing we didn’t really like was that at first, they wanted to put us in a house near the beach. The bars by the sea are quite noisy, while we had asked for the quietest possible place so we could work. Fortunately, after talking to the manager, everything was resolved. Also, one of the bar staff refused to give us a bottle opener and was extremely rude 😕. Another downside was when we wanted to extend our stay for two more nights – the price quoted at the reception was several times higher than the rate on Agoda, which seemed strange.

I love the location 98 % of the staff was great and the food was good. But the bed and pillows need to be upgraded. The refrigerator was warm and needed to be upgraded, I turned it up but it was still warm.

Cottage Rooms could be upgraded but are cute and quaint. Staff was very nice. Location right on beach is nice.

Location was beautiful however, the staff especially the manager was NOT welcoming at all nor comforting. The food and rooms are over priced and there are multiple issues. They do not cater to customers, the food is absolutely awful, the rooms are comfortable however we did not have access to the AC which we payed for nor Netflix, we could not fully enjoy the pool because of the “quiet” policy and the staff did not once check up on us nor ask for a review. I would not recommend to anyone and I would NEVER go back.

All I can say is serenity, there is two location one one the beach and the other tuck away in nature. We stayed at the natureside. The view, the service provided, the food is amazing. A must visit.

Me and my wife really enjoy staying here. The atmosphere is great with all the tropical plants and trees surrounding the property. We both enjoy eating at the health food which is named Good Livin. All together a great experience every single time!

Absolutely loved this resort! Not only is it set in the beautiful island of Jamaica but the staff make you feel so welcome and taken care of! Not only is the hotel itself gorgeous but the food is fantastic.. especially the pizza! Will def be coming back when we come again in December

My husband and I enjoy spending time here. The location has beautiful ocean views, and the setting is hugely relaxing. We recommend the location to people looking to spend time in Treasure Beach.

Arrived very late after flight delays, but staff stayed to welcome us and gave us a drink while the chef (who also stayed and waited) cooked us something to eat. Rooms basic but good air conditioning which was great. We are in the treetops so soon felt like we were part of the Swiss Family Robinson family, embraced it and thoroughly enjoyed it. Anything we felt we needed, hairdryer, kettle etc was soon dealt with. Being able to be driven wherever we wanted was an added beautiful bonus. Treasure Beach is a quiet and chilled location and safe, which was just what we needed. Having said that, there are plenty of things to do. YS falls is a must for a day out. For 2 people of a certain age, we dared to try and enjoyed all the zip wires and swimming behind waterfalls. Lashings put on a fabulous BBQ on the beach where all guests enjoyed good food and music. All in all a great place. Thank you.

I’ve traveled to the Caribbean many times, and unfortunately Dreams Rose Hall in Montego Bay had the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. Some of the female staff, in particular, were extremely rude. At the Rum Factory, the manager Tanya and the hostess Diamond saw us walking up, looked us up and down, whispered something to each other, laughed, and then proceeded to treat us rudely while we were simply looking at the menu. It was uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Throughout the trip, there were several moments where I felt there was a level of racism from some of the female staff. On multiple occasions, we were left waiting for a drink order while staff served others around us without acknowledging us. Despite tipping and paying a lot of money to be there, we should never have been made to feel like a burden. It got so bad that we had to raise the issue with the F&B manager, Jean. He did an excellent job listening, validating our concerns, and going above and beyond to try and salvage the rest of our stay. I also want to point out that many of the male staff were consistently polite and welcoming, and the entire team at the Seaside Grill was fantastic. Their kindness really stood out in contrast to the poor treatment from certain others. Aside from the disappointing staff interactions, the resort itself is beautiful. The grounds are well-maintained, the buffet was amazing, and some of the restaurants we visited were excellent. The rooms, however, are a bit outdated and could use some refreshing. Overall, the resort has potential, but the service from certain female staff left such a negative impression that I cannot recommend it.

Check-in was scheduled for 4 pm, but unfortunately, our room wasn’t ready until 6 pm. To their credit, the hotel made up for this by offering us a complimentary late check-out (normally charged at about $50 USD per hour), which was appreciated. The facilities overall were clean and well maintained. However, the spa was missing a sauna and steam room, which was a bit disappointing. Food was mixed. The Italian restaurant was a highlight with very enjoyable meals. The buffet had a decent selection, but many items were served warm or even cold instead of hot, which took away from the experience. The restaurant staff were excellent — very friendly and often went above and beyond to accommodate requests, which really stood out. Entertainment was varied. The DJ played throughout, but the music selection could have covered a wider range of genres. On the other hand, the poolside entertainment was fantastic, and the lazy river/tube pool was a lot of fun — we ended up spending a full day just relaxing there. Rooms were decent and clean. The bathrooms felt a little dated but were well maintained. Overall, it was a comfortable stay with some memorable highlights, though there are a few areas where the experience could be improved.

Our overall experience at Dreams Rose Hall was unfortunately mediocre, and certainly not worth the price for what is advertised as a 5-star Hyatt property. The hotel itself feels dated and in need of updates and general maintenance. The check-in process was frustratingly slow, with unnecessary complications that set the tone for the stay. While some staff were friendly, many had poor attitudes, which made interactions inconsistent. The food was one of the biggest disappointments. At the buffet, it was warm on some days but mostly cold. For an all-inclusive, it was surprising and frustrating to find that many things came with an extra charge—cabanas, a simple glass of wine at dinner, or upgraded meals like steak, lobster, or lamb at the Rum Factory. The beach was also a letdown. It seemed man-made, with very little sand, extremely shallow water, and nothing like the classic white sand beaches you expect in Jamaica. On the positive side, the rooms were clean, but housekeeping was unreliable. Some days our room wouldn’t be cleaned until very late in the day, which was inconvenient. The one highlight of our stay was the coffee shop, which was by far the nicest area of the hotel and provided a consistently pleasant experience. In the end, I would not recommend Dreams Rose Hall. For the price, it falls far short of Hyatt standards and does not deliver a true 5-star experience. There are better options in Jamaica that offer higher value for the same or less cost.

This hotel does not align with the Hyatt Resort brand of excellence. Hyatt needs to take time to invest in upper echelon quality of aesthetics here. The lobby and the grounds overall are beautiful with breathtaking views of the golf course, beach and ocean. Customer service overall was good with a rapid response to an issue I encountered. The staff was predominantly engaging, upbeat and polite especially in the cafe and in the reception areas. However, room service was poor. It took 3 out of the 4 days of room use to receive service, evwn after speaking to our room butler. From what I understand from other members in our group that staggered into the hotel over the weekend, there were issues with turnover due to mismanagement of room capacity and guests. The food is 4/5, with the best being The Jerk Hut off the beach. The buffet can be hit or miss if you're looking to have good Jamaican food daily. I wasn't a fan of themed eating surrounding non-caribbean/Jamaican food, especially the Mediterranean night. The ackee/saltfish, callaloo, white rice, brown stew, curry chicken and porridge were a hit aside from the fresh fruits and veggies. The facilities are the not so good part in this experience. While the conference rooms were nice along with some ither areaa, the rooms and some other common areas were dilapidated and dated. Paint was mismatched or poorly applied in some areas. The walls need a good scrub down and repainting in the rooms so the white looks pristine. There were leaks likely due to extreme condensation from competing tropical outdoor temps and cool indoor temps. If there was a mold smell, it wasn't evident since air purifiying aroma misters were placed throughout the property. The smell was pleasant. There should be a service elevator to accommodate staff. Sharing the small elevators with guests and staff that had equipment and food was a challenge. The entertainment was fun and interactive: staff went above and beyond to ensure patrons had a good time. A positive side is the variety of amenities to enjoy all inclusively with dining, a cafe, pools, water activities, shops, seperate adult as well as family friendly spaces to enjoy for all. While this is a famly friendly resort, it was not run down with children. The noise level is average without the chaos that can sometimes ensue on resorts. It was overall a nice place to relax. I hope they take heed to the criticism and make improvements.

THE MAGIC HAS GONE I have been coming to what was the Hilton Rose Hall Resort for about 20 years and there was always a magic about the place. The staff were always amazing and would do anything to ensure your stay was as amazing as the last. I met my now wife at the hotel 15 years ago. I’ve been to the hotel approximately 20 times and this would have been my wife’s 6th time. We wanted to come back and celebrate our 15 year meet me anniversary in the place where it all began. Unfortunately we have been let down at every turn. The place is now clinical with no heart or magic. When we first arrived the staff were all hand on heart, welcome to Dreams but now, only 1 week in to a two week holiday the staff are all miserable and to be honest apart from trying to force feed you a time share you don’t want, we actually don’t know what half of them do. No one can answer a simple question and it feels like one rule for one and another for everyone else. We booked and paid for a cabana at the lazy river but other people were using the cabana’s without paying and nothing was done. The Three Palms used to be free as part of Hilton but now you have to pay. The charge should be $49 per person which is what we paid, only to find out others had paid $49 per couple. Overall we haven’t been made to feel welcome, we actually feel like people here just can’t be bothered with a smile. Now don’t get me wrong there are people here that do go above and beyond but not enough for you to feel like you’re welcome

A beautiful looking resort on the outside and in the lobby and places like that being refreshed. But the room we're in was definitely due for a refresh. Hopefully much of it is refreshed. I can give it a five if I ever come back. The only downside for me and I mean just for me is there's kids there and I am not a kid-friendly sort of person at the moment. You're having spent the whole lifetime raising children. I really do like the peace and quiet of just adults. If it's the same for you then don't come here cuz there are kids galore and AC to be having a great time. Lots of the parents seem to be having a great time too and I applaud that. The only place we were able to dine in our short stay ; because we had a delayed flight; Was the buffet downstairs. My wife and I both agreed that it was twice as good as the sandals resort at Royal Caribbean. People here seem a little more genuine than some of the workers over at the Royal Caribbean as well. This is based on a 12-hour stay and not a 7 and night stay at the RC.

I stayed at Dreams in August to spend time with friends who were migrating. The location is okay with decent views however apart from the day time pool entertainment and Waterpark which was good, the hotel is pretty boring. The club was pretty lame and we ended up having to entertain ourselves at night with our own games etc. I enjoyed sleeping on the beach though where it was cool during the day. We gas an amazing server who brought food and drinks throughout the course of the day. I found breakfast to be good at the buffet however outside of that eating arrangements sucked. Our first night we couldn't find anything sensible for dinner at the buffet and all the available restaurants closed to incoming guests at 9. Also a point to note, this hotel DOES NOT have a late night grill or snack bar. We basically went to bed hungry the first night. We only got to dine at the Rum factory once and it was a very long wait. The food and service there was immaculate that night. My biggest sore point for this resort is that they lack clarity and professionalism. Upon checking in, we were told that a small sum would be on hold on our accounts until the full payment went through because it was a weekend or something of that sort. On checking out we were told we had no charges. However upon going home I noticed they had taken the full payment for the stay from my account but there was an additional $200 USD on hold. I reached out to the hotel, they apologized on the phone and said indeed I have no charges and they will release the hold immediately. A week passed, it was not released. I called again they apologized and said it's released now. It was not released. I called again the following week... I was then told for the first time that it takes 14 days for the hold to be released. I contacted my bank who informed me that I could ask the resort to send an email proclaiming that I'm free of charges and they could release it from their end. I called back the hotel with this information I was transfered to a manager who said this would have to go through the accounting department. I asked her if she needs any information from me to put in the email she said no, she has all information from the reservation. The following day i got an email from the accounting department asking for my information so they could send off the email for my bank. I confirmed, to date, I have not received any further email and my money has not been released even though it has been over a month now. When I try calling I get disconnected or if I connect and lodge my complaint I'm placed on hold and no one comes back to the phone. I'm beyond infuriated as this has been very unacceptable and Dreams hotel is not being very accountable. All in all, I do not recommend this resort, totally a waste of your money.

We had a great time at the resort. The staff were all extremely friendly and fun especially Aquaman, Davey, Alrick, Twinkle, Deshaun, and MoMo. Rooms were nice and big with a huge bathroom. We had a large balcony oceanfront that we enjoyed. Ability to use the spa pools/hot tubs/sauna anytime was great. Large fully equipped gym with classes. The beach is gorgeous with calm warm water you can float all day in. The entertainment staff work extremely hard all day and night to ensure a great time.

This is our 4th time at Iberostar and each time they never disappoint. The rooms are clean, the resort overall is clean, the food is great and the service is excellent. They definitely know how to treat their guests especially the members. Our concierge by the beach, Donovan, was wonderful and always made sure we were taken care of. The butlers we had were always attentive and willing to assist with any request we had. Ann Marie, our member services manager was a joy to be around and ensured we had the best experience.

I stayed at Joia Iberostar Adults in Montego Bay and my experience was nothing short of AMAZING! I actually stayed here back in 2017, and because of how great that trip was, I had to come back. This visit reminded me exactly why I love this resort — the people who work here are some of the kindest and most genuine I’ve met. Their hospitality really makes the difference. Food: Hands down, some of the best food I’ve ever had at any resort. They even have this beachside “hut” (not really a hut, but a lunch spot overlooking the water) that was incredible — everything I ate there was delicious, not a single bad meal. Plus, you can easily visit the two sister resorts attached to enjoy their buffets and restaurants, which adds even more variety. Entertainment: Absolutely everything! Every day had something new scheduled — games, shows, activities — the energy was unmatched. Huge shoutout to Dave, the entertainment manager, who was always involved, dancing, playing games, and keeping the vibes alive. The foam party was a highlight and so much fun! DJ Mo kept the music on point, mixing reggae, hip-hop, R&B, afrobeats, and throwbacks. You can also check out entertainment at the other two resorts nearby if you want even more options. Bartenders: Big love to Kiwan, Andre, Obian, Travis, Shevaughn, and a few more — all amazing people. They weren’t just serving drinks, they were connecting with guests and keeping the energy high. Butler Service: Our butler Ralston was incredible. He made sure everything we needed was taken care of without hesitation. He checked in daily, gave us great recommendations on places to eat and shop outside the resort, and made our stay effortless. I know this review is long, but that’s just because I truly want to express my gratitude. My second experience at this resort was even better than the first. The love and hospitality from the staff here is unmatched. This is a place I’ll always come back to. Highly, highly recommend Joia Iberostar Adults in Montego Bay — unforgettable experience every time.

Amazing long weekend for a girls trip. Highly recommend. We had an oceanfront butler room, and the service was top-notch (shoutout to Rohan, Orain, Berris). Cardella cleaned our room, and kept it spotless. Patrice and Samantha were incredible at the Spa. Food was excellent. Vibes were on point — fun but not too rowdy. Beautiful beautiful beautiful.

This is our 3rd Iberostar resort experience. This has been the best experience to date. All of our request were handled promptly and effectively. Devon and Christoper, our butlers, were always available and responded quickly to anything we asked of them. Devon was very “hands on” and went above and beyond to accommodate us. Mr. Valentine, our ambassador, also went above and beyond. Overall Great Vacation Experience!!

WHAT A TIME I HAD IN JAMAICA!!!!!! I came for my 50th birthday and I met some absolutely AMAZING PEOPLE!!! I would even call them friends. Everyone on the resort was nice and welcoming and made my stay here at JOIA so pleasant and enjoyable. My most favorite people were NaTasha and Vanesia from the lobby bar. And my other favorites were Nicholas from the buffet. My room was beautiful. I plan to come back yearly

This was the nicest all inclusive with the best food that we’ve had the opportunity to stay at! The staff made our entire trip. Twinkle, Ace, Dessanna, and Trini were incredible, helpful, and so so fun to hang out with all week! We will be back if for no other reason than to see our new friends again! :) Only hiccup was a rather pushy time-share situation upon arrival, but luckily we were able to decline the pitch. Unfortunately, it seemed like our concierge did hold a bit of a grudge afterward. All in all, I completely recommend this resort and would return!

Pros: The location was not too bad. Easy to find in central area. I enjoyed breakfast and that was basically it as it relates to pros for me. Cons: As for the cons, 1. I asked to them to decorate my boyfriend’s on his birthday and they came one day after with a letter a small coffee bag with just “happy belated birthday” which was soo unfortunate because I was very detailed with my request and that was not fulfilled. 2. The building seems a bit older than the Ochi building and the layout was not what I had expected. 3. Food selection for the buffet lacked variety. It was same food selections for the days I was there and the sports bar, they need to check their food because the patty was stale. So stale I had to spit it out. 4. Maybe because of the days I stayed, entertainment was not really entertaining. I think I definitely preferred ochi rather than Mobay. My expectations for Riu Mobay was high but the expectations were not met.

I stayed at Riu Montego Bay with my mom for our birthdays, and while we met a few friendly and welcoming staff when we first arrived, our overall experience was disappointing. When we checked in, we had issues accessing our bank account due to not having international service. I asked guest services if I could use the phone to call a taxi, and one of the employees at the desk was extremely rude — speaking about me right in front of me and even using inappropriate language. As someone who has worked in hospitality for over three years, I found this behavior completely unprofessional. One of the male staff members did his best to stay polite and assist, but the situation left me feeling uncomfortable and disrespected. When I reported the incident, I was told the employee was spoken to, but she denied everything. Instead of a sincere resolution, the resort offered us a pack of coffee as an apology, which felt dismissive. To make matters worse, the room was not properly cleaned when we checked in. It looked like someone had used the bathroom before we arrived — there were droplets of urine on the toilet seat. I took a picture and planned to report it, but my mom was already too frustrated after a long travel day to deal with switching rooms. While housekeeping later did an excellent job during the rest of our stay and were friendly and attentive, the initial cleanliness was unacceptable. We were also placed in a room far from the main areas of the resort, requiring us to walk long distances and go up and down stairs daily. This was especially difficult for my mom, who is an older woman. Overall, while a few staff members were kind and professional, the level of service and cleanliness we experienced was far below what I’ve known from the RIU brand. Unfortunately, I would not stay here again and would not recommend this resort, especially to those looking for a smooth, hospitable experience in Jamaica.

Went during hurricane season for a great value. All of the staff was very friendly and made an effort to be helpful. However, the specialty restaurants were very bad, the alcohol very watered down (significantly moreso than usual for all inclusives), and the beach was full of seaweed. Having said that it was easy to make the most of these limitations. Rooms (ocean suite) were nice, serviceable, and adept at keeping out noise. Blankets are thin so you may want to bring your own if you get cold easily. The buffet meals had some of the best food I’ve had at resort buffets which balances out the poor specialty restaurants. Surprisingly adequate gym.

3.5/5 stars. The entire staff was friendly and fun. The room was so nice and clean. The food was AMAZING, we tried all of the specialty restaurants and they were fabulous. The beach was okay but too small and lots of seaweed. The hotel was SO loud literally all the time no matter where you went and not relaxing. I think the hotel could do a better job at making it more relaxing for people. I would not recommend going here if you’re looking to relax. Unsure if we’d go back because of this

I’m currently staying at the Riu Montego Bay. I’m having the worse experience ever. The kitchen staff/ chef are condescending, dismissive and unprofessional. The first room I was placed in reeked of an unsanitary smell and had obvious remnants of cigarette smoke. The curtains appeared to have fecal matter on them. The room in general was dusty and smelled like moldy carpet but had no carpet. Additionally, there are roaches on the elevators and the common areas don’t appear to be clean. I’m so disappointed, insulted and disgusted by this hotel. I would’ve never imagined that such a reputable hotel would present itself in this manner. Upon speaking to the front desk manager, it was clear that he failed to maintain the integrity of the company by not accommodating my needs, and not compensating me for the awful experience. Due to the incompetency and rudeness of the kitchen staff/chef I’m going to bed hungry and on the brink of tears. Although, the front desk manager was apologetic he still allowed me to leave dissatisfied and without an immediate clear solution. I’m stuck at this hotel and I’ve wasted my money for an experience that didn’t come anywhere close to my expectations of the RiU experience. I would rather book an early flight back home and pay an unexpected crazy expense than to stay in these awful conditions and be mistreated, and dissatisfied. I have spent too much money and my sisters birthday is now ruined. This experience was awful. I don’t feel welcomed or well cared for. I’m not comfortable and this just doesn’t give luxurious. Most importantly the chef made me food with something I was allergic to after I called the hotel days prior to coming, wrote a thorough email containing my food allergies, confirmed them with the front desk and verified with the chef when my order was taken. To make matters worse, these things were acknowledged and clarified with the staff and chef that those allergens would result in anaphylactic shock; hence lead to a potential mortality. Could you imagine if I would have ate it? I don’t recommend! 0 out of 10!

The room was nice. We had a garden view room with king bed. We didn't spend a lot of time in the room. Just sleep and shower. Staff was friendly and attentive. The alcohol was definitely watered down. Had 7 Bob Marley's in a row to test the theory... not even a buzz. Would buy alcohol at the airport next time. The main buffet and Asian fusion restaurant were good. Didn't eat anywhere else at the resort. Which there were more restaurant choices.

Overall iyr stay was fun. It's a party vibe and the rooms were good. The elevators were not great...very old and seem to struggle in operations...at times we thought wenwere stuck in the elevator. No room service offered, and no beachside service. The buffet was pretty good the Chinese and Italian restaurants...not so much. While the drinks are included as part only the all inclusive...they had no top shelf liquor options and the luquor in the rooms are not a great selection. Location to the airport is within 10 mins and because it's adult only it is 420 friendly. All and all we had a good time, undecided on whether I will be returning to this specific location

Excellent property. Had an issue with my room and they fixed it promptly. Custer service was amazing. The pool, pool bar, and restaurant are really good. The rooms are updated and spacious. The breakfast buffet is excellent. Great hotel and a great stay.

My friends and I went to the grill by the pool just to be nostalgic and have a meal and we had the most amazing service from Janielle. Best believe she was the most awesome person and was so patient with us. Very friendly and polite. Service from her was second to none.

The Jamaica Pegasus Hotel offers an upmarket experience with standout customer service and amenities, which made for a generally pleasant stay. However, ordering room service via the QR code menu was disappointing—many items listed were not available, requiring me to instead select from the restaurant menu, which detracted from the convenience expected. Additionally, the mattress in my room was unusually hard and stiff compared to other hotels in the area, impacting sleep quality. These issues aside, staff attentiveness, cleanliness, were excellent, making it a solid choice for business or leisure, with room for improvement in certain guest comfort areas.

Would give 4 stars if it wasn’t for this……The hotel and staff and service are fine in general but I’ve had the misfortune of staying here twice on a Friday night in the last 6 months and cannot stress enough how awful the otherwise pleasant and relaxing pool and pool bar are on a Friday evening because they have the worlds worst DJ playing terrible music so loud that all the guests leave the bar & sit as far away as possible. Even doing this it’s so loud you literally can’t hear the person sitting next to you speak. Asked several staff if he could turn it down but they all said the DJ has a contract to play every Friday. Maybe so but why so intolerably loud? Management need to address this as they are clearly losing revenue by paying this DJ. What a disaster. Come any other night and I’m sure it’s fine but DO NOT BOOK ON A FRIDAY unless you enjoy horrible overly loud music making it impossible to talk.

Lovely hotel, services and ambiance are excellent. The breakfast buffet is filled with variety whether Jamsican or American taste... it will satisfy your palates. Services is efficient and very accommodating.

Our recent experience was wonderful, from the polite and helpful security guards to the waiters and waitresses. The food was great too...We'd recommend the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel

I have been staying at the Pegasus hotel in Kingston for the past years and I always enjoyed my stay there that why I keep going back every year. On August 1-3 2025 I check-in and they gave me a room for the disable. I went and changed it and they gave me a next room this room has an odor like a cesspool anytime I used the bathroom. I was too embarrassed to complain again until I was leaving. I made sure that I made a formal complaint to the front desk for them to do something about it, but it was my worst stay in Pegasus very discussing, and disappointed for my birthday vacation. My daughter didn’t return back to the hotel after one night so I was alone.

This is our 5th time to Ochi! We love it here. The staff is excellent! Odane is the best butler here! Jazeene is also a wonderful butler!! We have them every year! Kadia the bartender at the piano bar is excellent. She greeted us daily with her beautiful smile!!

Disappointed by the Decline in Standards at Sandals Ochi Having previously enjoyed a wonderful stay at Sandals Ochi, I was disheartened to find that the resort no longer lives up to the high standards it once upheld. Unfortunately, our recent experience fell short in several key areas, particularly in customer service and overall guest experience. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a room that had a strong mildew odor. While the staff did accommodate our request to change rooms without issue, the new room presented its own challenges — no hot water, flickering lights that eventually failed completely, and repeated maintenance issues throughout our stay. The level of service from the butler team was especially disappointing. Unlike our previous visit, where our butler Romeo went above and beyond to ensure we were informed of daily activities, had snacks and refreshments awaiting us, and felt genuinely cared for, this time our assigned butlers were largely unresponsive. Requests were met with audible sighs over the phone, and even basic tasks — such as completing our weekly planner or cleaning our private pool — were either delayed or ignored entirely. The resort grounds, once immaculately maintained, now appear neglected. We observed more staff members on-site, yet many seemed disengaged, often standing around in conversation rather than attending to guests or upkeep. The golf carts, previously reserved for transporting guests and staff with operational duties, are now frequently used by employees for personal transit, leaving guests to walk without assistance. When I asked one staff member for a ride, I was told, “That’s not how it works,” though he reluctantly agreed to help. Room service was unreachable despite multiple attempts, and the dining options have noticeably diminished in variety and quality. The revised menu lacks the diversity we once appreciated, which further added to our dissatisfaction. Given the premium price point of this resort, we expected a level of service and hospitality that reflects the Sandals brand. Sadly, this experience has left us deeply disappointed, and we are now exploring alternative all-inclusive resorts for future vacations. Sandals Ochi was once a standout destination — but regrettably, it is no longer what it used to be

Our stay here was simply amazing. The resort is beautiful and the service was excellent. Every member of the staff was friendly and helpful, but we especially want to praise the entertainment team. **Rosario L** went above and beyond to make our vacation so much fun and special. He gave us a great tour of the property and made sure we understood where everything was. Rosario L, always went out of his way to say hello to us and make sure we were having a great time. We can't wait to come back.

Spent fabulous time doing gym work, Pilates, aqua aerobics and stretching classes with Shereka who was absolutely amazing. Fabulous instructor, helpful and great fun to spend time with. You must visit her classes if you stay at Sandals Ohio Rios. At the beach sports centre Glenroy was super helpful and informative, big thank you to him for the help with my paddle boarding Thank you Shereka and Glenroy

This was the best trip ever… when I tell you Scott and Derron pulled out all the stops. We wanted for nothing. They were so genuine and always cared with a smile. The staff from beginning to end was so warm and welcoming. Not once did we walk anywhere without being greeted with a smile. I love the fact I didn’t have to wait forever for cocktails and the swim bars weren’t crowded. We stayed hillside and it was amazing. Loved the food and for a much as I requested… I could go on and on! Just know that we will be back to Ochi for sure Highly recommend this resort. Would give 100 stars plus if it were an option

This was my first time at a resort and in Jamaica and I had the best experience here. Everyone is so nice and I’m lucky to have met new people. Panda and Romario made my experience at the resort so much better, their fun positive energy was contagious. Akeem our photographer was amazing. He was very patient with us when taking our photos and I appreciate the helpful posing tips! Jerome was also another staff that was so kind and attentive with us. Thank you for making our stay unforgettable! Most definitely coming back!

The property itself is nice and our room was clean altho they do need to change the sheets more often and the bed was really hard. Left you with a sore back. The laundry service is hundreds of dollars for a load of laundry?? So weird. The food is just okay. The website hypes it up but it basically tastes like cafeteria food. The best part was the beach and the pool and the gym. The worst part was the staff. Half of them were nice and half of them were just so rude and lazy even when you are a really nice and low maintenance guest. There needs to be a whole revamp with the team because how half of them treat guests is not okay. The woman at the activity booth that signs you up for inclusive sailing and snorkel tours needs to be fired. She refuses to do her job even tho it’s super easy. Is extremely rude and even tried yelling at us. It’s very unacceptable. To keep a vacation experience consistent the staff at the first sign of unfriendliness or laziness needs to be confronted. This really could be 5 stars but deal with your staff’s attitude and it will be a much better experience for everyone.

The experiences we encountered during this trip was so ridiculous I would never step foot in Jamaica. I was so excited to finally experience Sandals since it was highly recommended. From start to finish the staff was HORRIBLE. We were ignored to the point when we asked for help or service at the pool we got big attitudes. One of the staff members told us “ we could get our own drinks “ even though she was going around being friendly and attending to everyone else. We were so turned off by the aggressive remarks that we didn’t ask for nothing. One of the members of the trip wanted to speak to a manager about the service we have been experiencing all weekend , that was a joke, her attitude was worse than her staff. We have been so polite and tried to just wing it but even to the last minute when getting on the bus to go back home from the resort one of the men, don’t recall his name had hazel eyes was putting us on the bus and checking us off loudly said Get on the bus let’s go. He said it so loudly I was so shocked. He seem annoyed and was so aggressive. The only staff member that was nice was a man named Ian and the bartender towards the end she felt so bad for us cause she was the only one that we would try and look for to ask for help. We gave her all the tips we could because it was a breath of fresh air to get a nice person in that place.

Lets me start with letting you guys know that my experience was during hurricane mellisa. From he first time stepping off the plane, 5 star experience sandals lounge with red stripe and red stripe light on tap. The staff all were overly amazing. Then the strorm hit wrecked the the place. At this point I would like to give them 7 stars. The way the staff took care of us during this storm not being able to get ahold of there own families while displaying smiles and comfort for us. I would like to make two huge shout outs to Vernon which I believe was the general manager stayed very professional and also went above in beyond keeping us updated and always accessible. Daneree which luckily happened to be our neighbor was so comforting, informative, genuine, a absolutely breathe of fresh air and again i repeat she was also a person who didnt know if her family was safe or still went out her way every chance she got to make sure we was good and tht includes the whole staff. All the days we wasnt able to fly out was complimentary which later I found out alot of places charged a distress rate ate 700 dollars but not sandals. They fed us everyday 3 meals one being oxtails and and another being surf and turf this is my first experience in Jamaica and sandals. Im here to say the best experience of customer experience I've ever saw. I strongly recommend every visit this resort its worth it. Ill definitely be booking with them again.

This was our first time traveling to Jamaica and visiting Sandals and we were EXTREMELY dissatisfied. We were not made aware that the hotel was under renovations which blocked several views that was promised in the lobby and restaurants. The room was okay - bed was super uncomfortable. I expected more for a honeymoon suite room. My boyfriend now fiancé planned a beautiful proposal on the beach and hired their photographer AND HE MISSED THE MONEY SHOT. The picture of him on his knee on the beach was not taken and the next day when we saw the pictures the staff and manager had big attitudes and we basically had to beg for them to comp us just $400. The proposal and photographer was hundreds of dollars more than that. They wasted several hours of our last night and morning “waiting for a manager” Christopher (one of the 3 managers we talked to) who still couldn’t do anything and had to escalate things more but it would take more time. Staff rude especially at the photo place - DO NOT GET KEVIN AS YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER. It’s like pulling teeth trying to get managements attention. We sent an email to Vernon Johnson the General Manager in hopes to get compensation for the money my fiancé paid for the photographer. Doubt we’d get a response. I am an avid traveler and a travel agent. You are better off staying at a nicer resort where you can’t hear airplanes taking off every 30min.

We went on our honeymoon and I expected a lot more than what we received. First let's start with the room. It was nice sized and right on the beach with a great bathroom. Negatives about the room is the ventilation fan in the bathroom did not work. The AC does not go below 68 so during the day it can not keep up and the rooms feel very humid. Cools down ok at night. Then we also had the honeymoon package added which we did not get. Next the service was decent. Most of the bartenders were fairly rude and took awhile to get you a drink. As for restaurants we tried them all. Nothing really stuck out and really made us want to come back. Our favorite was Soy which is a Sushi bar restaurant but it also had the longest wait. One night almost waited 2 hours just for some soup and sashimi. Now for location it is fantastic, you are literally right on the beach and we spent most of our days in the ocean or longue by a pool until dinner time. Very relaxing and beautiful. I would go back but so upgrades are definitely needed

The room was beautiful, and so was the island. The fact that it is all-inclusive makes planning great and easy. But honestly, it was the people that made the vacation even better. Everyone we dealt with at the resort was so nice and friendly, and always accommodating. If we decide to do another Caribbean vacation, it will probably be with Sandals again!

We went to Montego Bay for our 25th anniversary and everything about the trip was amazing. I must first say that our butler Antonio was the best! He catered to our EVERY need. Not only was it our anniversary but it was also my husband’s birthday. Antonio went out of his way to set up our room with decorations and rose petals across the floor, bed and tub while we were on the beach. My only issue was the food. I truly didn’t like anything but the steak and Lobster.

I will start with negative. Humidity is off the charts. Beds could be softer. Need more trash cans setup. Now positives. Entertainment was off the charts. One name we remember is Super Mario he was incredible. Made you feel welcome and appreciated. To the gal that did omelettes she called me Santa Clause she was great. To the lady that did the pastry, coffee shop she was great. All front desk ladies very helpful. Candle light dinner for our 50th anniversary was memorable. Blue Mountain Coffee on my can’t say enough.

The airport in Ocho Rios had no flights for us to flight into. The room’s ac did not work properly. The cold water facet did not work at all. Requested wine, beer and it was NEVER delivered to room. The restocking of the refrigerator was poor. The food was mediocre at best. At the French restaurant, the table we were seated had small worms on table cloth. We asked for a new table but waitress just brushed them off. There were too many pushy vendors selling their merchandise. They were obnoxious. The pool staff at the slide area did nothing. They hung out under the cover joking and carrying on with other staff. No one asked if we wanted drinks. They would pick up drinks when we were not even done. Being a first timer, was not given instructions about what restaurants were open and when or where to find the information. For a 4 star resort, it was a 2 (at best) star experience. NEVER AGAIN!

This location is closing May 31, 2025, and I was worried when I found out. When we arrived on May 5th you could see that the resort did need an update, but that did not prevent the staff from putting 110% in caring and providing a great time for the guest there! Seriously, best customer service experience EVER! From food and beverage, housekeeping, entertainment, water sports, spa and more, everyone was wonderful. Special thanks to Kamisha in RedRiver Spa for one of the best massages and her warm personality! Ian in photography for wonderful photos and the fun game of Jamaican Dominos. And Shanice for getting our past trip to Sandals posted to our Sandals Selecte membership, inviting us to the welcome back dinner, ensuring our military discount was added to our account, and helping us book our next vacation! And finally Nicola for consistently try to get our teenage daughter to break our of her shell and trying something different! This experience help solidify that we are a Sandals and Beaches Resort kind of vacation family!

We had a very disappointing stay at this resort. We have been to 3 other Sandals resorts and have extremely impressed and we were told by other guests that going to beaches is the same experience just with kids around. NOT AT ALL our experience. Several other families agreed with us while at the resort. The resort was very poorly maintained. Age is to be expected but this was dilapidated. There seems to have been no care for quite some time here. We were extremely disappointed with this vacation and we honestly regret the future booking we made for another Sandals property early on in our stay. The resort was announced to be closing a week before our arrival, and the mood and attitude of the staff reflected this. Here are some of our issues - Our room was listed as a room with a balcony and a garden view; however, we had no balcony as our glass door opened to a roof top. - Half of the restaurants were not open for dinner each night. - In the French restaurant, we had bugs on the table and in the linens and when asked to move tables, we got ignored and instead they just brushed them off the table. - The A/C in my parent’s room did not work. Called the desk two times with no response. I spoke to the Director at the select dinner, he offered to move them a few floors away. - Dirt/trash left all over the resort, water bottles buried in the sand, straw wrappers/other trash left on the beach and chairs. - I understand the hotel units are all open air, but we had a glob of bird poop on our door that never got cleaned off. - The trash taken out of our trash cans sat in the hallway for 2 days. - Construction materials like door frames, ladders and windows were left leaning against hallways and exposed patched dry wall. - Ladder and tables were “stashed” in the gardens. - Food, plates, cups were all left sitting on a ledge near the rooms for days until collected. - 90% of the resort staff were rude, failing to acknowledge your presence or your order. Patrina the at the BBQ park was amazing. - The elevator broke and the only way to the beach was 4 flights of steps. - Flickering and burnt-out lights everywhere. - The walkway to get to the beach access had lights flickering and was full of linen carts and trash. - Very dark lighting on the walkway to our rooms. - Constantly harassed by vendors every time you walk by to buy their stuff. - Gardens had LOTS of plants that were just sitting in the pots in which purchased. - Talked to the front desk two times in person and called to talk to them about a billing issue with the dive shop and was told each time they would call us with a resolution but never heard back. Finally got it handled on the last day as we were checking out with the manager. - We had cockroaches in our room. - Brown water came out of the sink faucet several times. - Front desk was never sure what restaurants were open for dinner and told me wrong 3 times after “finding out.” - Not a single lifeguard “on-duty” at the water park. Instead, they all huddled under the gazebo by the pool tables talking/carrying on with other resort staff out of camera sight. - The area inside and outside of club liquid on the ground floor by the elevators smelled horribly of mold from the HVAC. - Emailed customer service over a week prior to our trip, no response. - The pool and beach staff never came around taking drink orders. - Beer and wine was supposed to be stocked in rooms, was requested on request form and never fulfilled. - Sink faucets did not work in room. - Food mostly served cold. Never asked for a water/drink refill at meala. After visiting other Sandals properties and being extremely pleased and then coming here knowing, it is owned by a third party operating under the beaches/sandals brand, I would be embarrassed of the condition of this resort if it was Sandals. Its closing for a much-needed renovation, but this could have been maintained much better than its current condition. At this point, we regret booking another trip even to another Sandals property.

Three Years Later - Still Heartbroken Over Our Wedding at Beaches Ocho Rios In July 2022, my husband and I got married at Beaches Ocho Rios with 50 guests by our side, friends and family who traveled great distances to celebrate with us. We estimate we brought over $150,000 in revenue to the resort. And yet, three years later, I’m still struggling to come to terms with how poorly things were handled. The most devastating issue was with the resort-provided photographer, whom we paid $2,500 through the Beaches wedding team. He showed up intoxicated, fell during the ceremony, and then left the event without saying a word during the reception. Because of this, we have almost no candid photos from our wedding. The only formal group shot we received, the one image of our entire wedding party and family, has my nephew’s face cut off by a decorative lantern sconce placed along the beach aisle. That is the picture we were left with, and had to pay for! (Since the images and prints are a separate purchase and a steep one at that!) Then there was the issue with our ceremony itself. Moments before I was supposed to walk down the aisle, the wedding planner approached me in a panic and asked, “Where’s the person marrying you?” She had somehow assumed we were bringing our own officiant, which we were never told was necessary. She scrambled to grab someone to officiate, and that person repeatedly mispronounced our last name (“Cardona”) as “Cardoza”, even after I corrected her during the ceremony. I also brought all of my own centerpieces after being quoted over $2,000 for just seven tables. The planner later asked if she could have them, and I kindly said she could take one. I was told the rest would be delivered to our room before departure, but they never were. What followed was months of emails trying to recover them. When they were eventually shipped to me, nearly all the vases were broken. I even sent a video of the damage and received no response or apology. Outside of the wedding itself, basic resort operations failed. The water would frequently stop running, and many guests were unable to shower for long stretches. For a luxury destination resort, that is completely unacceptable, especially when hosting a large wedding group paying top-tier prices. We’ve waited nearly three years to write this because I didn’t want it to be fueled by emotion. But what lingers isn’t just disappointment, it’s the feeling of being ignored, disrespected, and let down by a company that markets itself as a wedding destination specialist. No one ever made it right. If you’re considering getting married here, I urge you to ask every question twice, put everything in writing, and prepare for miscommunication and lack of support, even on your wedding day. I would never wish this experience on another couple.

Absolutely Amazing Experience at Beaches Ocho Rios! I have to admit, I was a little nervous before coming to Beaches Ocho Rios because of some mixed reviews, but I can confidently say I had nothing to worry about! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Everyone has been so friendly, accommodating, and genuinely happy to help - it truly made our stay extra special. The rooms are beautiful, spacious, and clean, providing the perfect place to relax after a fun-filled day. The resort itself is stunning, with breathtaking ocean views and plenty of activities to keep the whole family entertained. One of the biggest highlights for us has been the Sesame Street crew! My son is absolutely loving every moment with them, from the character interactions to the fun activities—they’ve made this trip so magical for him! If you’re on the fence about coming here, don’t hesitate! This resort has exceeded our expectations in every way, and we can’t wait to come back. Five stars all the way!

Sandals Beaches Ochos Rios (May 23rd to 27th, 2025) Jamaica, was a 2 hour drive from the Montego Bay airport. Coming from a very long Las Vegas travel day (2 flights with long layovers), wasn't excited about the ride in. My son and daughter in law chose this location for their destination wedding not knowing it was shutting down the day after we left. The only restaurant worth positive mention was the italian choice. Everything else was edible or really poor quality. Big issue was the rediculous placement of a heavy metal safe in our room's closet. I personally cracked my head open on mine and other members that found out about my dramatic scenario said they too had an issue with said safe location. The resort " apologized" for my experience! They were not willing to pay for any medical help beyond their on call nurse. She was very nice and did help with the blood, ointment, ice pak and gave me my potential options under the circumstances. It was my first night there with my son's wedding venue starting the next day so my objective was too keep the worst of it quite. Very tramatic for me! Entertainment/ music quality was not impressive . Night 3 of the stay the motor was destroyed by pirate theives shooting live ammo, attempting to steal it which took away 2 boat activities for our stay. Could have been worse, but 2 important promised options were taken from guests. The actual wedding and evening venue was nice overall. This location is going down to the ground, but Sandals Beaches should care more about their reputation based on the unfortunate exposures. Over $1,000 a night there and they "apologize" for my negative experience". Not impressed. Was told management would be in touch, but nothing to date. Now 3pm ( Pacific West. coast) June 4th 2025.

Overall we had an excellent stay. The resort was well staffed and everyone was friendly and helpful. The rooms were kept very clean. The finishes are a little dated, but we expected that as it’s an older resort. Our boys really enjoyed the pirates island water park. It has many pools for babies up to older children and even the adults enjoyed the larger water slides. The beach was sandy and the water was so warm.The food was quite good, especially if you stick to local specialties like the jerk chicken/pork and local fresh fruits. The cocktails and wine were superior to many resorts we’ve stayed at and the blue mountain coffee was excellent. Our only disappointment was the staff at the kids club for 0-24 months age. We tried to leave our son there for two short visits but they seemed almost annoyed when we dropped him off both times and didn’t make much effort to distract or comfort him so he didn’t have a good experience. Our older children on the other hand did have a good experience in the kids club and Xbox lounge with the staff there. And the nanny service we used one evening was excellent. She was friendly and engaged and asked the right questions. Overall we thought this was a great family resort and good value for the money.

Great resort, would be 5 stars were it not for the string mold smell up on entering rooms. There has to be a way to remedy this as the resort is newer. I definitely enjoyed the access to Secrets restaurants and beaches and was treated like Secrets royalty. Would come again but would love for them to do something about mold smell. JANICE in the spa was awesome, special about Shout to her, such a pleasure. We enjoyed the stay and pool parties and drinks..staff very friendly and attentive. Fun trip.

Alistair is the the Best bartender on the whole resort! He’s promptness and his personality is so refreshing!! We hung out with him our whole vacation upstairs at Altitudes! We had so much fun meeting him and invited him to come to our home in Florida! He’s a good man and we wish him a very prosperous life! He definitely deserves the best life can offer him! We’ve been here 3 times in the past 7 years! He’s the Best! Make sure to look for him as your Best Bartender on the Resort!!

Everything was amazing!! We got the presidential swim up suite and it came with 2 butlers. Olivia and Javon were phenomenal!!!! They made us feel sooo loved! Definitely made it worth spending more for their services. The food was awesome! They do a good job keeping up with the place! Dr Pepper would have been a sweet add but that's okay I'll talk to drpepper about that! The views were great too! Tamara and oniel were some amazing bar tenders!! ONIEL the private driver was awesome and so helpful!

Horrible!!! Worse resort DON’T waste your time or money!! First we arrived and after traveling since 2am we were ready to get settled in. Our room was not ready on time at the 3pm check in time. We traveled with a group and we were the only couple that didn’t have a room. Someone finally came out to get out 45 mins later after waiting. Secondly, our lights that night kept turning on automatically while we were sleeping so we had to keep getting up to turn them off. How frustrating it is when you can’t sleep after long day of traveling! Third, our safe in our room did not work properly so we couldn’t lock our viable things up. The safe wouldn’t lock, as we kept getting an error. The refrigerator kept going out also. You can tell our room needs work and the upkeep is being neglected. Fourth, we PAID for the exhale club. So We were promised a welcome gift in the room upon arrival on the travel itinerary it mentioned a welcome gift and champagne. We didn’t have that in our room, I had to mention this to Front desk. Then they eventually bought it to our room. Also, included in the exhale club, we were supposed to enjoy premium liquor. The resort bars ran out of the only two brands that we wanted to drink. One the second night they even mentioned they had to do a store run. It’s very unprofessional and upsetting to know as a guest You purchase a package and the resort is not up to par and can’t deliver what you want. An all inclusive resort should never run out of something guests were promised. Fifth issue we had was a constant noise in our room so we couldn’t sleep. Update: So we found out it was coming from the rooftop pool. Maintenance came to the room and had to turn a pump off so we could not hear the noise. Also, when there are events at night they are held in the lobby so you can’t sleep due to the loud music. It was not a smart idea to have entertainment and dj in lobby at night. We travel to relax and rest. And this vacation was the worse vacation my husband and I have experienced. And FYI the other people the group also had issues with different things so it wasn’t just us!

My partner and I have recently returned from celebrating her Birthday at Breathless Montego Bay resort, and aside from a little first night hiccup our vacation was positively amazing. The surrounding grounds are aesthetically beautiful, our dining experience equally so. However, what makes Breathless a resort that we intend on revisiting are the staffs, which are positively first-class (hard working with little or no reward or recognition). I could name all that we came in contact with. However, our butler lady Valerie and Kenroy, was simple amazing (their attention to details was truly exceptional) Lady Melisa (at the omelette stand) was an absolute joy each morning. Radalfi, ensured that our today was gonna be better than our yesterday. And now, Ranae our Guest Relation Manager, I cannot express just how outstanding she was, she made it her number one priority that my partner and I had the most memorable of experiences, she was Simple the BEST...Message to management, you guys are truly fortunate to have a Team of such high standards, so Please, Invest in them. They make the Difference.

There is no waiting to exhale here. From chocolate covered dancers, night nurse models, trapeze artists, crowned by good food, endless booze, clubs, silent disco…. Breathless… very apt name for stunning performances and djs that knew what party means lol. Go and experience and get your own private pics lolll

A Truly Unforgettable Stay! From start to finish, our stay was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. The resort is perfectly located, with stunning views and easy access to local attractions. The Jamaican food was out of this world — every bite was full of flavor and authenticity. I want to give huge shoutout to Bellboy Stephen, who went above and beyond to make sure we were always having a great time. His positive energy and dance moves were the highlight of the night. Bartender Keino at the Altitude Rooftop Bar, kept the good vibes flowing with perfectly mixed drinks and a welcoming attitude. We also had the pleasure of chatting with lifeguard Audley (Tony), whose stories about Jamaican culture and his younger days gave us a deeper appreciation for the island. But most of all, I want to recognize Radalfi and Demar, part of the hotel management team, for truly going the extra mile. They consistently checked in to make sure everything was perfect and that we were having the best time of our lives. Their attentiveness, warmth, and genuine care made us feel like family, not just guests. In fact, because of the incredible staff, we ended up extending our stay by an extra day — we simply didn’t want to leave! We left with full hearts, big smiles, and unforgettable memories. Highly recommend this resort — we’ll definitely be back!

My sons and I had a guys trip to Hyatt Ziva and had a wonderful time. The grounds are well kept and the location is convenient. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Food was hit or miss, Choicez was a disappointment but breakfast as Calypso and the Jerk Hut were so good!! The star of the entire week was the Tuesday night Street Fair, a Jamaica BBQ with several different grills, buffet and drink stations. The pools were beautiful, clean, and never felt crowded. The entertainment staff keep everyone entertained. Drinks are good and the pool staff keeps them coming. Beach is beautiful but on the smaller side with plenty of shade for lounging. Overall this is an excellent resort for families, beautiful design but some age is showing, but the staff, location, and vibes make this worth it!!

My stay at the Hyatt Ziva hotel was truly a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the doorman greeted us with the warmest welcome and explained that our bags would be delivered to the room after check-in. At the front desk, the ladies took their time walking us through every detail of our stay and patiently answered all of our questions. Now, on to the food—absolutely amazing! Jerk Hut was a favorite, with friendly staff and delicious dishes. We also dined at the all-you-can-eat restaurant, and wow—it felt like everything was cooked fresh to order. The executive chef was incredibly kind and attentive, even making thoughtful recommendations. The hotel grounds were beautifully maintained, and the calming aroma that flowed throughout the property made the atmosphere even more special. I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends—it’s an experience worth having!

We went here in 2023 but wanted to write a review because of great our trip was. We still think about the great service and people from this trip. The food was also amazing, they don't have as many a la cartes as other hotels but each restaurant was great. The jerk station by the beach was also amazing. The hotel was perfect for small families as it's not too big and easy to walk around and get places. The room service was also one of the fastest we experienced. At the time our son was 11 months, and everyone made sure our experience was great. The rooms are a bit older but the experience made everything better. Would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a peaceful trip with great food and service. The hotel was a bit far from the hotel, but we took private transport because of the baby.

The resort was amazing. The pools the beach access and the service from staff was awesome. My only unsatisfactory comment is the food option. Room service was provided, however it was often over an hour to receive the food. The in room service options were also limited. The best food I had was at the brick open pizza place and the Urban Eats which was at the main resort. The other restaurants were scattered around the resort about a 10 minute walk. The buffet, seafood restaurant, and the perk chicken dishes were either extremely too spicy, or lack seasoning. It was hard to find a good selection of food. I enjoy experiences all cuisines. I don't think this was my best experience of Jamaican food. Enjoyed all the entertainment and activities.

Amazing! This was by far the best stay I have ever had in Jamaica. The receptionists were warm and welcoming. I want to thank Latavia for upgrading our room and for her thoughtful service. We had the one bedroom butler suite ocean view and it was beautiful. I want to thank Kevin and Dexter for being the best butlers. They were very attentive and made my birthday very special. The staff were very nice and welcoming. Food was great! Over all best trip!

Overall, good, though I expected it to be exceptional. If you’re looking for an international-style resort in Jamaica, this is the place. But if you’re hoping for a truly authentic Jamaican experience, it may fall short. We originally booked for that authentic feel, but were a bit disappointed—especially with the food. While it wasn’t bad, it didn’t have the Jamaican flavors we were hoping for. I also noticed that many staff members weren’t as warm and welcoming as expected, which sometimes made it difficult to approach them for help. For the price point, the bathrooms and toilets also felt fairly average. That being said, several individuals truly went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, and they deserve recognition: • Alicia, Malique, and Mark – always welcoming with a smile • Sheldon at the jerk hut • Elvis on the beach, for outstanding service • Terry-Ann and Tiana at concierge, both incredibly helpful • Jason, chef at Calypso, for an excellent dining experience • Anthony, our waiter at Fuzion • Tricia, Kemona, and Prittanya from the Playa Collection team • Jdarling at the cigar shop These individuals made our trip special despite some disappointments. Their service stood out and reminded us what true hospitality feels like.

I had very high hopes as alot of great reviews and big hotel name means high quality. We spent 5 nights in the butler suite and while our butlers were nice ladies. They didn’t quite meet our expectations. We were traveling with small children and they were booking late dinners. Not much initiative was taken we had to tell them to do everything. This is not our first time using butler service so we had high expectations. Butler service just makes your vacation more relaxing. I expected better more personable service. Now the room, they need to do better they have beautiful limestone on the floors and quarts in the restrooms. Mold in the grout of the shower. They just throw caulk on top of mold. I had to shower in the dark. It’s too humid to not have ventilation in the restroom. Do better Hyatt! Other than that it was a very relaxing vacation. Our kids had a good time and while we traveled with young kids we also enjoyed ourselves.

I enjoyed my time at couples swept away except for a few things. Positives: The location was very nice, I really enjoyed being able to walk right on the long strip of the beach every single day. The food availability of food at almost all hours was great, I never felt rushed to get breakfast, lunch or dinner. The health and wellness center was also great. A lot of equipment to choose from at the gym and many other athletic options to choose from. Negatives: The lack of lighting in the room. The only working lights in our room was the overhead lights on the bathroom vanity and the bedroom vanity. (and entrance/hallway). The bedside lights never worked and when we asked for it be resolved, nothing happened. The bathroom needed some obvious upgrading but it looks like they are in the process of doing that in some of the buildings. Our iron was also broken and leaking water (all over the suite that needed to be worn in a few hours) but they were able to replace that within 30 minutes. I'm also curious about the privacy of some of these rooms, the first room we had, all 3 walls facing the outside had shutters that you would need to open since there was little to no lights in the room. Overall I'm not sure if I would stay here again (not soon anyway) since it looks like they are in the process of doing some updates on the resort. Hopefully these issues are taken into consideration because I think it is a beautiful resort and the location is excellent as well.

I had an amazing experience at the resort. I got married there last week and everything was great. I especially appreciate the staff specifically the wedding staff (Rochelle and Desmont) who were very professional and accomodating. They made my day go so smooth and I'm grateful for that. The night entertain (I do not remember the band's name) but they were awesome and full of energy. The massages at the spa across the street was great and I usually hate massages. The makeup artist the day of my wedding did a fantastic job. I showed her my inspo photo and she did exactly what I asked for. The atomsphere is just relaxing and I honestly wish we would have booked more time there. I almost forgot to mention that the different varieties of food was great as well and I highly reccomend the private dinner on the beach. The beach in the daytime is absolutely breathtaking. We were extremely pleased with everything and may spend our 1st anniversary there.

Currently staying at Couples Swept Away, Room- Ok nothing special, clean comfortable bed. Very dated. Staff- Mostly friendly, especially if you tip them. (Even though it’s meant to be a tip free hotel.) Special mention to Al-Jay down at the swim up bar who is particularly rude to the English guests and won’t even speak to us. Food and Drinks- Fantastic range of drinks and beautiful cooked food. Particularly enjoyed the Jerk Chicken and the breakfast buffet. Entertainment - Very good standard, the resident band are brilliant especially when you’re stoned. Water sports - Good selection to keep you entertained. King Julian and his snorkelling trips are excellent. 🐠 Pools - Nice but not the cleanest. Beach - Absolutely beautiful, just wish the vendors would leave me to enjoy it in peace. Sports Complex - Everything you need for a decent workout. I should also mention that some staff at the hotel are constantly asking guests for money and we were approached a few times by staff asking if we go get them jerk or food from the all inclusive buffet. I feel like this is a problem with the hotel management not paying and feeding them well enough.

Overall, good all inclusive vacation resort if you can get it for less than $3k a week. We would go back if the price was right. We went during their low season so things were a bit different than normal. One of their four restaurants was closed, some nights there was no buffet option, and for about 2 hours every day there were no food options at all. There were lots of new people being trained too. Everything except the 2ish hour window with no food options at all makes lots of sense during the low season. The food was all good on average, a few things were great and a few things were duds. One annoying thing is that if a buffet was out of something, it didn't appear as though they ever replenished it; out of 7 days I only actually saw bacon or their "famous" banana stuffed French toast twice. Most of the restaurant staff were cheery and attentive, some seemed very new to serving though. Also seemingly because it was low season, one of the beach bars was closed but the other two were more than capable of handling the low number of guests at the resort at the time. Drinks were good and they didn't skimp on the alcohol. Bars also had some "top shelf" options. The bartenders mostly seemed a bit grumpy and annoyed when I asked for for drinks other than beer. The room we rented, an ocean view veranda, had a great layout, had a great patio, a great view, and nice amenities like a fridge, safe, plenty of drawers and hanging space. Housekeeping was perfect including daily water carafe and ice bucket fills. We did have to move rooms late in our vacation because our room literally flooded (it wasn't anything we did) but front desk staff did all they could moving us to an "upgraded" beachfront room and even having a bellman move out luggage for us. That beachfront room however was a bit rundown. There was very little light in the room and there was no glass in the windows, just shutters which barely kept the heat and humidity out. The AC could not keep up. We only need the room for one night so we dealt with it. I would never book a room without real windows. The resort grounds were beautiful and very well maintained including the lush area between the rooms and the beach. There are plenty of entertainment activities beyond lounging on the beach from free fitness classes throughout the day, beach volleyball games, Cornhole tournaments, paddle boards, water bikes, snorkeling excursion (yes, free!), a 2.5 hour catamaran excursion ending with a sunset view (also free but tips for the subcontracted crew were solicited), to a piano bar, dance lessons, dj parties, and a beach bonfire.

Our second visit to CSA. T he beach & clear water cannot be beat! It was off-season so the resort was less crowded-which was a bonus. Although with this bonus came less amenities as a restaurant & bars were closed. It's a trade-off based on what you like. The staff were somewhat less helpful & friendly than our priorities stay, which was disappointing. The food at Feathers, Lemongrass and the ala carte nights at The Palms were impeccable!

I recently stayed at a Couples Swept Away Resort and from the moment I landed, the experience was full of delightful surprises. I had booked a travel package that included airport transfers, and to my amazement, the resort even had a VIP lounge at the airport. It featured a private air-conditioned space, clean restrooms, complimentary drinks, and snacks—such a thoughtful touch to start the trip. The driver and lounge staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. 🏖️ First Impressions at the Resort Upon arrival, the reception team greeted us with warm smiles and a glass of champagne. Their kindness and professionalism set the tone for the entire stay. 🛏️ Room Our room matched the photos on the website perfectly. It was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The minibar could be restocked daily, and we could even request bottles of alcoholic beverages. Housekeeping was exceptional—staff checked in even during the evening to see if we needed anything. 🍽️ Dining Experience There were two restaurants available for reservation (easily booked through reception), and I visited three in total. Each one offered beautifully plated, delicious meals with thoughtfully curated menus. Every restaurant had a waiting bar where you could enjoy a drink before dinner, and the staff were consistently warm and attentive. 🥗 Buffet & Specialty Dining The buffet was impressive—breakfast, lunch, and dinner featured fresh, varied selections. Staff were always nearby, making sure everything ran smoothly. The vegetarian and seafood restaurant had a smaller menu, but everything was fresh and flavorful. Think salads, wraps, sweet potato chips with tasty dips—simple but satisfying. The 24-hour restaurant was a lifesaver, serving burgers, hot dogs, tacos, nachos, and more. Everything was consistently delicious. 🏊‍♀️ Pools & Beach The resort has two pools, both great, though only one has a swim-up bar. The beach was absolutely stunning—calm, warm turquoise waters, soft sand, and even starfish sightings. Plenty of umbrellas and palm trees provided shade. 🎶 Entertainment The Piano Bar offered fun nightly entertainment, including a fantastic singer who was both talented and charming. After the show, the nightclub opened—and I loved it. The DJ was phenomenal (shoutout to DJ Wifi!) and even played some of our song requests. The club itself was beautifully decorated with great lighting and a lively vibe. 💬 Final Thoughts I’ve stayed at many resorts, but this one truly stood out. The service, the food, the beach—it was all top-notch. I absolutely loved my time here. ⚠️ Two Downsides 1. There was no entertainment team or music at the pool during the day, which would’ve added a fun, dance-friendly atmosphere. 2. Authentic Jamaican cuisine was only offered on Friday nights. That felt disappointing, especially considering we were in Jamaica. I believe the resort should include at least one traditional Jamaican dish in the daily buffet. I even left the resort twice just to enjoy local food elsewhere. 🌟 Overall Rating: 9/10 Would I return? Absolutely. But I’d love to see a bit more Jamaican 🇯🇲 flavor infused into the daily experience.

JUST OKAY, EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT YOU GET....... Overall it was just okay. My husband and I visited Couples Swept Away for our 3 year wedding anniversary. We are both in our mid 20s (definitely the youngest couple there) and were looking for a good mix of romance, relaxation, and fun. There were some things we liked but a lot more that we didn't. Food: Food matters A LOT to us, so to say we were disappointed is an understatement. We thought the buffet options were limited and average at best. Plated dinners were better but required a reservation. Being at a Jamaican all-inclusive resort, we thought that meant access to unlimited beef patties, but nope. With 4 spots to eat on the resort, there was only 1 location that served beef/ chicken patties. The restaurant’s listed opening time was 12pm, but if you were not hanging around to see when the staff started taking orders (~11am), you were not getting a patty until the next day. Weather: We visited first week of July, allegedly not the rainy season. I know that you can’t control the weather but it rained every single day around 1pm and didn’t stop until around 5pm which significantly cut quality beach time. Temps were high 80s and nice other than the seemingly constant and scheduled rain. Heavy rain clouds were always looming. Beach: Beautiful, very clean, no trash, no seaweed. Vendors heckled until day 3. It was quiet most of the time except for construction on a beachfront unit and power washing of the walkways. There were NEVER clean towels available, you had to bring them from your room. The chairs were dirty and old. There were only a few umbrellas to sit under and they were quickly taken. Room: Our room was clean and ready for us, we did not have to wait to check in. The room was serviced almost every time we left (2x/day). We always had clean towels, bed made, and a full water pitcher. The water pressure in both the shower and sink was very weak and made showering, washing hands, and washing hair very difficult and time consuming. Shower has no door and entire floor gets wet with each shower. Amenities: Spa was great 10/10, we got the couples massage. Since it rained every single day, we were looking for things to do indoors but indoor activities were lacking. Racquetball courts were closed for renovation and squash ball equipment did not work. Only option was to have another mid meal... The evening events were “dinner and a show” format, usually a singer or a band. One night there was a bonfire on the beach but we didn't attend because of the mosquitos. Night activities included karaoke and dance parties but with the average couple’s age being 45+, my husband and I found it pretty awkward. This is definitely not a party resort. Pools closed at 10pm. Staff: Everyone was amazing. Very friendly and attentive always. Do we regret visiting Jamaica? No, but would we stay at Couples Swept Away again? Also no. We feel as though our money would have gone a lot further at a comparable all-inclusive in Cancun.

Overpriced, small rooms looking over a dirty roof, food was terrible except for the jerk shack, beach was roped off no waves , small place to swim, small pool, staff was very nice. Asked for a cocktail at breakfast and was told by the staff it was too early. This is an all inclusive. The elevator was broken 1)3 of the time. Would never do a sandals again. Going to Jamaica I expected a Jamaican experience not a Walmart style American experience.

I really enjoyed my stay at this resort. The food was excellent and the staff were very pleasant. I liked that they had different varieties of food, as well as the additional restaurants on the resort. Every encounter, they acknowledged me and made me feel very welcome. It was even a more pleasant stay because I was engaged there. My fiance planned the most spectacular private dinner on a rented gazebo that the staff put together on such short notice.

Loving our honeymoon stay here in Jamaica. This is a great location and close to the best excursions on the island. Best pizza I've had in any resort hotel or restaurant, real brick oven. Beautiful views from our 5th floor balcony too. Much entertainment, so much fun and good food. Will never forget this place. I read some reviews about cleanliness and I would just like to add that while we were there they closed the pool and hot tubs daily for cleaning, scrubbed the entire patio tile area with bleach and each restaurant was closed every couple days for thorough cleaning. We saw them using food thermometers every single day and when a guest left an odor in the elevator we just mentioned it to a staff member and it was cleaned and fresh just minutes later. There was constant cleaning going on. With that many guests there's bound to be some mess overlooked but it wasn't overlooked for long. The place is not brand new, nor perfect but taking that into consideration it was very nice. We had wonderful romantic moments and the staff was so friendly and kind. We loved it there and hated to leave.

Really nice resort in Jamaica. Great food and service plus unlimited booze. Love the selection and variety. Wonderful staffs. And beautiful rooms. The resort is not to big and not to small. Just perfect. Had a wonderful time here. And it's all adults. So no kids to worry about. Lots of good vibes and entertainment. I got no complaints. Well be hitting this place again in the future. Will miss this place dearly. A little getaway paradise from real life. Thanks again for all the wonderful memories you created for me.

My husband and I have had the pleasure of vacationing at the Jewel Dunn's River Beach Resort & Spa for several consecutive years. We had begun to think of the resort as our "home away from home." We were always pleased with the resort, even though there were occasional issues with maintenance, and our room and view always met our expectations. None of those accommodations mattered in comparison to the treatment we received from the amazing staff. We were so impressed with many staff members, including the people who prepared food, the servers, bartenders, and the amazing entertainment crew, as well as others. We were treated like royalty! They made the entire experience so much more fun and enjoyable, and gave us something to look forward to every day and night. Sadly, most of our "second family" that were employed there will no longer be at the resort, which is now under new ownership. Supposedly, they were "let go" by the new management, without any notice. Having been so impressed by the hospitality and concern for others, we have remained in contact with some of the former staff members, and I was heartbroken to learn that some of these amazing, hard-working, loving people have been unable to find further employment, and have been living in unimaginable situations due to their abrupt dismissal. And, to add insult to injury, COVID hit Jamaica, which has further increased their hardship and loss. Some have limited shelter, little food, and diminishing hope, that they will survive long if they can't attain employment very soon. If this is how people that we consider family are treated, then WE WILL NOT be returning to the resort. It doesn't matter how much money has been spent on a huge renovation, nothing can replace the excellent treatment that we received from these amazing former employees.

Had an amazing stay here for a week. Food was great, drinks were great and the staff was very friendly. The only set back was room service. We just wanted bottles of water brought up but room service was impossible to get in touch with. We left a message but never heard back. The entertainment staff works wonders; they are extremely personable and are great with the upkeep of a positive vibe at the resort. "The Mayor," (or Jason) and Tami were the ones we encountered the most and they were always fun to be around. There are several restaurants and the food varies from authentic to basic. Most of the food I had was great. Loved the place with the burgers, wraps and salads! The gym is small but had everything I needed for a great workout. It's near some fun activities like Dunn's River Falls, which we climbed and had a blast! We had some family come in and I was able to get good rates for the extra rooms I booked last minute. Overall, had a great stay and I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends, family and travelers.

We had an amazing time at this all inclusive resort. The staff was fantastic from the second we got off the bus. Also, it was easy to find the bus at the airport! The resort had everything that would be expected and the staff was more than happy to provide excellent service. We were able to book day trips at the hotel with ease and enjoyed all of the accommodations. The convenience of a variety of food options and multiple bars throughout the resort was fantastic! Hope to return here one day! Keep up the great work!

Service is excellent—from the security guard at the entrance, to the front desk staff, and the bellman who escorted us to our room. Breakfast at Miss Lily’s was lovely. So far, every staff member I’ve encountered has been polite, pleasant, and attentive, always asking if I need anything.

This review is mostly for the spa at Skylark. Sophia was so attentive from my first service with her all the way through my last service. First I had the ritual bath. Sophia made me feel so comfortable, took pictures for me, and made sure I understood that it was my time to relax and release. Next, I had the aromatherapy massage with Sophia and again she was so attentive working all of my muscles in a way that really released the tension. Finally, I had the ritual foot bath as my last service. And again Sophia just did a wonderful job of keeping me comfortable and explaining how the things that she was doing were helping me not just now how they could help me release in the future. I would recommend the Skylark Spa and especially Sophia. My package was also very affordable and combined 3 services over 3 day. The hotel itself self was nice, the rooms are basic and simple but comfortable. The staff at the front desk and restaurant were attentive, but at times seemed a little overwhelmed. I’d definitely come back to the Skylark. Be sure to visit the pool and cliffs at Rockhouse.

We visited here twice from The Rock House. The Skylark sister hotel. To enjoy the 7 Mile Beach and be able to walk around freely. The cocktails and foods were delicious. The staff were extraordinarily kind and pleasant. White glove treatment all around. No worries whatsoever. Definitely want to return as soon as possible.

My boyfriend and I came to Skylark for vacation and our expectations were absolutely exceeded with the amazing views and service. If you’re thinking about coming to this hotel, book now and don’t hesitate. It was truly the best experience. We got engaged on this trip and the staff was amazing with decorating our room and coordinating with my fiancé. We had the most amazing spa experience with Sophia and Veronica who made us feel so special and helped celebrate our engagement. Seriously the best spa experience with the best view we’ve ever had. We loved this hotel and our experience here so much we are thinking of bring our closest loved ones and getting married here. Special shout out to Ricardo and Olivia in the boutique who were so helpful and amazing and Bentley for saving us when we were locked out on our balcony! Thank you Skylark for the best vacation!!! We will see you again soon. Cannot forget about Ms Lily’s with the absolute best food and vibes in the area!!!

We booked a last minute couples massage session and the spa graciously accomodated us. We were attended to by Sophia and Pet who did an excellent job with our service. I could feel the tension leaving my body as their expert hands worked. Would def recommend others.

We stayed for 2 nights. Very nice beach. Staff was a little rough around the edges, but otherwise courteous and attentive. Food was good at Lily's, the name of the restaurant. Not an extensive menu but good nonetheless. Rooms, not luxurious, however comfy and clean.

Quiet rooms, big beds, and a very clean beach! 🏖️ We loved the decor as well. I walked around and felt like Skylark seemed one of the best maintained. The staff were nice as well. We had a great time and would come back. Only suggestion is that the in room mini bar item (like water) prices were too steep.

Very luxurious and premium all inclusive resort. My wife and I have stayed here 3 times and will be back! This is an all butler Sandals property and Omar and his staff are very friendly and accommodating. You don't have to lift a finger if you don't want to. Hospitality is the name of the game at this resort! The staff know you by your name and really care about your stay. The food and entertainment is also top notch! Our room was very clean and tidy, not to mention comfortable! I love the overall layout of the resort as well as the overall size of the resort. It's a smaller resort, but it's very well done. A must stay!!!

Our first visit and definitely not our last. Tamara and Carlos are phenomenal butlers! Could not ask for better. All the restaurants were exquisite and food was amazing. Water sports crew very helpful and efficient. All staff were always smiling and pleasant. If you are looking for a quiet getaway in a beautiful place, this is it. PS - make sure to sign up for the Club Mobay departure lounge.

Quiet, beautiful, and the best service. Gorgeous beaches, there isn't anything bad I can say about this place. Omar the GM knows every guest by name and greets you around the grounds daily. My butlers went out of their way to make sure we didn't lift a finger the whole week. 10/10 would recommend to everyone.

Firstly apologies for taking so long to write a review as we stayed in September 2024, I am sure I wrote one but can not find it, so here goes. This was not just a holiday for us. We actually got married at the resort, just the two of us for an intimate wedding. We had a few concerns before arriving as our experience of the Sandals UK call centre was not the greatest. However, these were taken care of before arriving following the intervention of Omar from the hotel, who assured us that it would be perfect for us. Everything was just amazing. We were looked after by everyone at the hotel and our wedding day was just perfect. The hotel is beautiful, and the location with its two cosy beaches gave us a sense of being in an Agatha Christie novel, small enough to feel like you are an invited guest to a private resort. Whilst we ventured out to the other resorts nearby, we were always so glad to return to our hotel where the food and services were so much better. Our perfect days were a swim in the sea before breakfast. We ate a relaxed breakfast in the outside area overlooking the sea, followed by a on the beach, with drinks being served non-stop at our beds, a bit of paddle boarding, and just chilling. For us, the peaceful surroundings, no loud music, and well behaved fellow guests made the experience one to remember. We have just booked to come back again (September 2025) for our 1st anniversary and look forward to seeing Omar and his crew again.

Had a wonderful time at Sandals Royal Plantation. Omar, the GM was so welcoming and our butler Anthony was amazing! This is a small quaint resort that doesn’t have the lively crowd of the other resorts. So if you truly want to relax, Sandals Royal Plantation should be on your radar.

We enjoyed every minute of our anniversary trip here. The staff from the managers to the cooks were all courteous and amazing. They made us feel at home as if we were family. Marvin, Omar and the rest of the staff made sure we didn't miss a moment of our wonderful experience. Every need was taken care of to the smallest detail. We will be coming back to this location to visit our new found family!

We are here for 2 weeks (1 week into staying at White Sands) and celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday. The rooms are very spacious across the road (non beach side), affordable, very clean, lovely balcony, had everything we needed. The hotel is right on 7 mile beach which is amazing, we love being so close to the beach! The staff are wonderful - from the life guard to the waiters, the cleaners and the stop sign crossing ladies. The air conditioning is really good too, lots of draws/wardrobe space, comfy bed and pillows, hot showers, amazing gardens/palm trees surrounding the place. The only thing missing was complimentary beach towels. The food is also incredible!! Thank you for a great stay so far!

Booked the deluxe room for 2 nights. Got there the first night and as soon as I stepped into the room I immediately felt uncomfortable. I knew I could not stay there. Left and went back to the front desk which was already closed. There was no way to reach the manager any one but the security guard who seemed to be afraid to call the manager and tried to convince us to stay the night. That was absolutely not happening, the room was dank and there were gaps in the top and bottom of the door allowing lizards to come in. Furthermore, it was not the same room that was advertised, therefore not the room I booked. It did not feel comfortable and I did not want to stay. I spent the rest of the night trying to find somewhere else. I returned the key, arm bands, and wifi passwords to the security and immediately sent an email letting them know that I would not be staying there, and that I was requesting a refund. The next day, I received no response to my email so I went back to confirm that they received it and that a refund would be issued. The manager refused to give a refund for both nights and would only refund one. Stating that he would not have been able to re-book the room the night before so he can’t refund us for that night even though the hotel was not fully booked (clearly there was no one else trying to book a room). The manager's energy was not welcoming or accommodating. I found his responses very passive aggressive. Not a nice feeling not a nice space. Would never step foot on the property again.

Outstanding staff! They are very accommodating and friendly. They work to make you feel right at home. This property is one of my favorites in its simplicity. Located directly on the white sand powdery beach in the middle of 7 mile beach. You will feel safe and protected all while enjoying the beach. The views are amazing and close to everything. You can get everything from fresh fruit and greasy squeezed juices, lobster, dirty banana and salt fish fritters. All from your beach lounger.

As a budget-conscious traveler, I have done a fair bit of research on the lodging options on 7 mile beach. Not only is white sands comparable or more affordable than most, but it is one of the more updated establishments. I have stayed at White Sands three, going on four times. Each trip has been perfection. The room is always clean and comfortable. The location on the beach can’t be beat. The two for one daily drink specials are always a hit. The beach and loungers are Clean and plentiful. The food at Indies 957 has never disappointed (try the fried chicken, the Jamaican breakfast and the jerk sausage pasta! ) The pool is always clean and you have a pool table and table tennis available for use. But the best thing about this place is the incredible staff that keeps us coming back. Ice, Bubbles & Paul are the best and loveliest bartenders on the island. The wait staff always on point with a smile. Ramon & OBrien are super friendly and helpful and do a great job keeping the beach clean and keeping a watchful eye on guests for safety. The security team is always looking out for guests. If you are looking for a hotel for your stay on 7 mile, the search is over. I promise you will love this place. My fiancé and I are getting married in Jamaica and have recommended this establishment to all of our closest, most treasured friends and family.

The rooms were ok. The fact that you only have one hard key was an inconvenience. Housekeeping only every other day. The staff were very kind and accommodating. But the FOOD! THE FOOD! I’d show you a photo of the jerk chicken pasta, but I licked the plate!

The rooms were just subpar, the AC was COLD. the service there was less than what was expected. Housekeeping never bought full sets of towels They may have strained you one or two towels here or there. However the location was everything that it needed to be. What threw me was NO TV'S in the rooms. I was on my second week of the vacation coming from a busy high-energy all the inclusive resort and I really just wanted to lay in bed and relax and watch TV for that week and I was unable to do that. I definitely will not book this facility again just on that note alone.

I travel a lot! I will never stay here again. I start with a few good things. Located right on 7 mile in Negril. Workers at the restaurant and bar were very nice and provided good service. Food was above average. The rest is bad. I spent weeks searching for the right hotel that provided a restaurant and a kitchenette so I could cook when I wanted. Booked through Southwest airlines website. I booked and paid for the kitchenette. When I arrived I was put in a standard room. They said it wasn't their fault it was southwest. My receipt and booking both showed the kitchenette. Despite that, I was told I would have to follow up with Southwest. Southwest said details are provided by the property. I felt like only one person in management tried to accommodate, but in the end we didn't get resolved and felt the rest of the staff had an attitude. Disappointing. The room we got was extremely basic not even a trash can in the room one small one in the bathroom. The listing showed daily housekeeping but was only serviced once for the whole week. When asked I was told it is provided every other day but the second time they just swamp the towels out. I went back to check and the booking showed daily housekeeping. Let's talk about towels. There was (old and small) 2 towels and 2 wash clothes and one bath mat. Not even hand towels. This was for 2 people and didn't get clean ones each day. So tasteless. When asked for more towels I had to go get them they wouldn't even bring them to us. Poor service. And was provided 2 towels and 2 wash clothes. No clean bath mat. The king bed was two twins pushed together, this happens in Jamaica but they not even so was very uncomfortable. The room had one night stand two lamps a tiny fridge and a dresser. No TV no clock no trash can I mean the most basic room I ever stayed in. There is a pool, I think. I never saw it and they never said where it was. I recommend hiring friendly staff to check in guests, it is off putting having front desk employees acting as if me the guest is a nuisance. So unfortunately I would not recommend this property at all unless motel 6 is your go to.

There is no other place in Jamaica like Tensing Pen! The vibe of the resort is like no other, it is truly stunning. What makes the stay at Tensing the best are the staff members. Everyone is friendly and welcoming and makes you feel like family! Every time I plan a trip to Jamaica I will be staying at Tensing Pen. Truly is a magical spot!

We recently went to Tensing Pen Resort for our anniversary dinner. We did the private dining on the cliffs overlooking the water and beautiful sunset. The decor was amazing and the setting was beautiful. Our server was professional, polite, and took great care of us. 3 huge dogs are on the property but they were not a factor... just a heads up. I highly recommend their private dining experience for special occasions.

My husband and I stayed here over Christmas and it was simply amazing. Everything was top notch and the staff were so incredibly kind. We keep saying it was the MOST relaxing vacation we have ever had, and we can’t wait to return next year! 💚🖤💛

We went here just for dinner. The atmosphere and view at the restaurant is absolutely beautiful 😍. The food was eh, lots of bones lol but that's everywhere in Jamaica. Waitress was a sweetheart and gave us excellent service. Bar tender was friendly and funny. Go for the sunset and ask to sit close to the edge.

What a beautiful place for couples very quiet and peaceful the service is great I will recommend to anyone celebrating anniversary

The views at this resort are second to none. If you are looking to get away, this is the place you need to go!! Top notch food in a great location, tucked away off the cliffs on the coast. Rooms were really clean, the staff was so kind, professional and helpful. The location is right on the coast so you have absolutely breathtaking ocean views! The rooms were very clean, comfortable and offer you so much privacy(they come with a refrigerator and safe). The resort is so well kept with beautiful trees, flowers and bushes decorating the landscape so you get to see hummingbirds fly by. They have 3 dogs(Tensing, Obi, Zuri) on the property and they were so sweet, friendly and very well trained. We were there right before hurricane Beryl hit and the staff and front desk made sure we were able to safely get to our next destination the morning of the storm. We were supposed to go to a wedding later that week and because of the storm I wasn't sure if I could get my hair done. I asked the front desk and they were able to coordinate everything and I got my hair done later that day. I will never forget this place and the wonderful people who work there. Next time I visit Negril I will return to Tensing Pen!!♥️

This is my 5th visit to Sandy Haven. I haven’t been here since before Covid. Boy, have things gone down. The rooms need maintenance but there’s no one here to fix anything. The Beautiful patio, where breakfast was usually served, is now broken. The boards on the floor are falling apart. There aren’t enough umbrellas or chairs on the beach. There’s no security on the beach. And it’s a shame because it’s a beautiful spot. I sure hope they get things fixed up. As far as the food goes, the restaurant is not bad for dinner, but it takes an hour and a half to get served. Period I hope they fix it up

Great place on the 7mile beach! Our room was easily accessible to the beach and you could walk up and down and enjoy other places. Sandy Haven only provide a continental breakfast which is just fruit and bread - anything else is at a cost. We hardly ate here due to them not having anything that was on the menu. We spent most of our time eating at different resorts. Rooms are good for what you get. Be prepared to be bombarded with people selling you stuff on the beach! It’s quite annoying :(

This was a quick getaway with my best friend. I absolutely enjoyed the laid back vibes and friendly staff. Checking in was so welcoming. Totally enjoyed the sunset and beautiful clean beach. I was a little disappointed on the day of check out as it took over a hour to have breakfast served. Despite that, I will definitely return for a good time.

We had a very nice beachfront view. Daily housekeeping and coffee provided every day. Free continental breakfast very basic with juice, coffee, bread and fruit. Only ate lunch there several times. 45-75 minute wait for food, but that’s the standard on the island. Be sure to check your bill every time before signing. They had our room number wrong twice and when checking out we had a $60 charge not belonging to us. Management corrected that. WiFi extremely slow and no cable TV. Overall a nice place, but not 4 stars. More like a 3

Use to love this place couldn't say a bad word previously, but it has really gone downhill since my last visit in 2021. Everything from the free little breakfast to my shower not getting hot or having pressure and nothing says romance like a toilet that doesn't flush.... This kind of soured my whole time at Sandy Haven. At breakfast it was outrageously priced at Bongos I just never went because that didn't post prices therefore your just telling me beforehand that it costs tooooo much. All in all this is in the center of 7 Mile beach Negril so I had fun just not at Sandy Haven. Won't be back next year.

I have been in contact with Rohan who made my reservation and he provided wonderful customer service and was even able to make a special accommodations for my son to be at the resort. Unfortunately I had to cancel our reservation for December 28th - Jan 1st due to a family member being hospitalized locally. I made Rohan aware 6 days prior to our stay that I had a serious family emergency and will not be able to stay. After speaking with his manager, and what took 2 days for a response, he was not able to honor my request to cancel and that in my reservation confirmation, Sandy Haven provides their cancellation policy which states, "Cancellation Policy: Non-refundable non cancellation, may change dates. Deposit will be held as a credit for future stay within one year. No show or early departure, no refund." After seeing so many reviews from dissatisfied visitors who have openly voiced concerns to staff with no resolution, this Cancellation policy is even more alarming. I did not want to write this review, but am left with no choice as I had to dispute this charge with my credit card company and want to make sure to protect other potential visitors in the event they consider booking a stay here.

The Beach on Sandy Heaven, was very nice also a big Compliment to the Waiters Andre and Chantal, they were always friendly and respectfull, but when im coming as a Guest to Negril, i pay for a good Service, that i dont have here. Long waiting Time for Dinner , its dirty, sometimes no fluent Water or Wifi and my Google Rezension will be bad, because of the Service of Kevaugn he doing his Job not right, 0% of Respect, they ignore us a few Times at the Bar, when we want order something. His cant communicate right, walk away from us, maybe he dont like white Men.Thats an No Go in this Type of Hotel. He earned personally 0 Stars. For me in Future was the first and last Time in Sandy Heaven Resort.

Exactly as pictured. The most beautiful and well maintained resort. We felt as though we were the only people there. We went in April, the crystal clear water was warm and not a single bug bite to speak of. We went snorkeling right from the resort and the reef is very much alive and vast. This is not the place to go if you need entertainment and nightlife but for this trip we just wanted to sit on a beach, and we did. The only con is the food situation. I was looking for a place with a kitchen traveling with young ones and the house did. The resort offer to shop and fill the fridge so we opted for that. It did not go well. For our 5 day trip, they provided a pack of turkey and ham for sandwiches but forgot bread. Mac and cheese boxes but no milk or butter per the instructions on the box. and 1, single serving, frozen pizza. They have ONE restaurant ( the other was closed the whole time) and the menu remained the same every breakfast, lunch and dinner. The service was the slowest. The continental breakfast took a hour to be served, dinner even longer. It became so difficult to enjoy with the kids that we started tag teaming who had to wait at the table. We finally got to the grocery store ourselves and it wasn't as bare as I expected , wish we went earlier. So long story short, plan a trip to the grocery store. But all else said still 5 stars in my mind because it really is the most beautiful, serene getaway. Like no filter needed ever, make all your followers jealous , perfect.

Hermosa was absolutely dreamy. The resort looks like a place you see in adventure story books. Everything was beautiful, from the plants, to the trees, to the pools, to the sea, to the villas. Christopher's, the restaurant, sits on a balcony overlooking the sea. The food was great, with adequate portion sizes. The restaurant is open to the public, you just need to make a reservation. If you are a plant lover who likes a quiet, serene secluded atmosphere, this resort is for you. If you love nature and the sounds of nature Hermosa Cove is for you. 10/10 highly recommend😍!

Wow. Words and even pictures can’t even describe how amazing, breathtaking and exceptional every single aspect of our stay here was. My partner and I stayed here for 5 days, and we will hold these memories in our hearts forever. Everything from the food, to the staff, and especially our treehouse room was amazing. This resort was in pristine condition, and we felt like we were part of a family when we stayed here. Everyone knew our names, and treated us with such love. Our treehouse villa was honestly the coolest room I’ve ever stayed in my life. It even had an outdoor bathtub! I can’t imagine finding a better resort in jamaica, let alone Ocho rios. I’ve traveled to over 55 countries and this was by far my grandest and most magnificent stay yet. Don’t even think twice—just book it

Wonderful vacation spent at Hermosa Cove in March 2024. The location, accommodations, staff and service was A-class and made for a relaxing vacation. Highly recommended. - Great location - the grounds are beautiful and wonderfully maintained. - Great accommodations - our villa was well-appointed with a secluded and peaceful setting. - Great Staff - the whole team made us feel at home. They got to know us by name and treated us like family. - Great Service - the restaurant, service staff and meals were very good and we enjoyed the special dinner on the point and the Jamaican BBQ dinner.

An incredible resort. The staff couldn't have been nicer and upgraded us to the tree house for free, as it was not reserved during our stay. Gorgeous view right on the water. We chose this spot as it looked beautiful and unique with the houses to stay in, and we were not disappointed. A unique, beautiful, and incredible experience! We are so grateful we stayed here and can't recommend it enough.

We went to Hermosa Cove for dinner for my wife's birthday with family and friends . The grounds are wonderful and the view from our table was amazing . The food was excellent . Great lobster , red snapper and pork . Great wine and the service was OK. The accommodation looked very good and very quirky. Would look at booking a stay here on our next trip to Jamaica .

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Goblin Hill Villas in Portland, for my Anniversary and Husband’s Birthday and I can't say enough good things about our experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly by Noel, who set the tone for our visit with his pleasant demeanor and helpful nature. He was always around to assist us, making us feel truly welcomed. We rented a two-bedroom ocean view villa, and it was nothing short of stunning. The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated, providing a perfect blend of comfort and style. The view from our villa was breathtaking, with the ocean stretching out before us, creating a picturesque backdrop for our getaway. While we had an amazing time, there were a couple of minor issues. We noticed that the bathroom water pressure could have been better, and we would have appreciated having body wash, shampoo, and conditioner provided. However, these were small inconveniences in the grand scheme of our stay. The next day, we had the pleasure of meeting the manager Angela, who was incredibly warm and welcoming. She surprised us with a lovely anniversary greeting and even wished my husband a happy birthday, which added a personal touch to our trip. Overall, our anniversary and birthday weekend at Goblin Hill Villas was nothing short of amazing. The combination of exceptional service, delicious food, stunning accommodations, and a beautiful location made for a memorable experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a getaway in Portland!

Beautiful grounds, spacious villas, complimentary coffee/tea, wonderful views all around you, multiple beaches close to the property, tennis courts, pool area and absolutely stunning cuisine (breakfast and dinner; didn’t have lunch on the property). Staying at the Goblin Hill Villas was so disappointing that I can only recommend staying away and booking vacation somewhere else. The biggest issue for me was the safety at the property, but there are so many other things that also must be improved. The same afternoon my friend Danijela and I arrived I had an accident, I hit the large transparent glass doors to the terrace with my head and blacked out on the floor immediately. That’s when we started to discover all the security faults. That was the only large glass door on the property that didn’t have safety stickers. Despite my accident the stickers weren’t applied back in the next 3 days of our stay there although it was promised that some technical support will come first thing in the morning. No Health and safety protocol were implemented after my hit and fall, the staff didn’t react at all other than with shock. I had to request ice so I can make ice compress and keep it during the night on my face and nose. Again, the staff should have referred me to the designated medical institution for a check, as per regulations in Jamaica. But it was my friend Danijela who took me to the doctor she found in Port Antonio the next morning, where I had a check and got a therapy. From that point on our whole vacation was ruined, I had to take heavy medication and apply ice compress on my face every 2 hours for the next week. After all this, the staff didn’t show any interest or regret for the accident blaming us for not adjusting the curtains in their villa the moment we arrived. That for sure would be the task of the staff, no guest anywhere in the world should be adjusting their accommodation to become safe on their arrival to the property. The receptionist continued to be rude and ignorant and only talking about the balance, although we already paid half and didn’t plan to leave without paying the rest. It’s just that at the time we had other priorities like my health condition. After 3rd night she came with the Security person and kicked us out of the property, just handing us the letter and later hiding from us and avoiding any conversation. More issues we discovered during our short stay that should be fixed to secure safe and healthy environment for the guests. The water is not for drinking or washing, it was yellow on several occasions. There were electrical outlets completely unprotected from the humidity on the terrace. Both windows and terrace doors were not able to close or lock. Coffee maker severely burned and dangerous to use. Table lamps are outdated with metal switch without electric shock protection, no way that is approved for public use (please note that this is a family friendly place where many children come too). Table on the terrace was unstable, very dangerous to lean on even slightly. The metal stairs leading to the apartment on the 1st floor were very steep and rusty, For more than 300$ per night Villas, it’s also unacceptable that you can’t get any water, coffee or food if you don’t request it at least 24 hours ahead. Word complimentary was not in use there at all. Very ignorant since there is no shop or restaurant miles away from the Villas. The bar was always empty, very hard to find any staff if you need anything. I really regret booking Goblin Hill Villas at all.

Nature's paradise in verdant and beautiful Portland, Jamaica. I couldn't have wanted more - friendly and accommodating staff, tranquil and relaxing surroundings, clean spaces, mouth-watering Jamaican breakfast and coconut water "to wash it down". Without reservation, the place to stay!

My husband and I totally enjoyed our stay at Goblin Hill. The lush green vegetation, breathtaking views and friendly staff all together made it an awesome experience. If you are a nature-lover, that's definitely the place to relax and recharge.

We played tennis, went to the nearby lagoon, and lay on the lawn watching the stars. It was beautiful.

ATTENCION !!! Review of Kanopi House – Port Antonio, Jamaica Dear Owner, We would like to share our experience during our recent stay at Kanopi House. As frequent travelers who have experienced hotels of various styles, we chose Kanopi House knowing it offered a rustic, nature-focused experience — precisely what we were looking for. The charm of the property is undeniable, but unfortunately, our stay was marked by incidents that led us to cut our trip short by three nights, something we have never done before. Service and Overall Experience: We were greeted by Terry, who provided no basic information about the hotel’s operations, available services, or transportation options. From the very beginning, her conduct was inadequate and made us uncomfortable. Incident 1: We requested a private taxi and were informed that payment had to be made directly to Terry. To our surprise, the supposedly private car included Terry and another hotel staff member. During the trip, we were taken to a market where she asked us to follow her to a secluded area to handle the payment. When giving us change, she attempted to hide a bill and claimed she did not have the correct amount. Upon being confronted, she returned the money. The situation was extremely unprofessional and deeply uncomfortable. Incident 2: On the second day, we again relied on Terry for transportation. After waiting 40 minutes, a driver finally took us to a beach. When we contacted her for the return trip, we were informed that the taxi would take an outrageous three hours to pick us up. Faced with this situation, we had to walk along a hazardous road where, fortunately, we managed to get a ride to the start of the hotel’s access road, followed by a 20-minute walk back. In addition to the logistical inconvenience, Terry adopted a mocking tone both in person and through text messages, demonstrating a complete lack of professionalism and respect. Financial Loss and Irreparable Discomfort: Due to the level of discomfort caused by Terry’s inappropriate behavior, we decided to leave the hotel earlier than planned. This decision resulted in significant financial loss: we forfeited the cost of the remaining prepaid nights, incurred additional expenses to reschedule our transfer, and had to book another hotel on short notice to salvage what was left of our trip. These incidents reveal not only a serious failure in service management but also a lack of preparedness, ethics, and professionalism from someone in direct contact with guests. We believe Kanopi House has immense potential, but it is essential that staff, especially those responsible for guest interactions, receive proper training to ensure an experience that aligns with the charm and promise of the property. My wife and I stayed at Kanopi house a few weeks ago for 3 nights. We were really looking forward to the stay knowing the fantastic location of the place and general look and feel of the tree houses as advertised on the website. We are big fans of Portland. Our stay was unfortunately a little bit disappointing and not what we were expecting. Positives : - Lovely staff, super friendly, helpful - loved the vibes! - Great location, right next to Blue lagoon and amazing local beaches - Stunning views - Quite and peaceful - Good coffee Negatives/improvements: - Road leading up to the property is unacceptable. Unless you are driving a 4x4 truck, your regular car is likely to get damaged. The drive up is quite long, and there are lots of potholes, some really deep and almost impossible to drive around. This needs to get fixed or flagged to guests in advance to ensure they have the right vehicle to access. - Food - very underwhelming and overpriced knowing how amazing the local food is. The portions were small and lacking in your typical Jamaican options. - Overall property - in general the whole place needs a bit of a touch up , this is such a amazing location with such HUGE potential. The tree house we were staying in was nice overall, however there needs to be a mosquito net provided especially when there are lots of insects out and about. Also we had the unfortunate scenario where we were informed the AC was broken and couldn't be switched off. Nothing was done about it during our stay so had to bare 3 nights with the AC on blowing directly into our faces while sleeping as the unit was positioned directly above the bed. - Wifi - no wifi in the treehouse and quite a weak signal in the main reception area. Not a deal breaker for us as we had local sim cards but understanding some guess may be relaying on it.

The stuff stealing and do whatever they want without a management looking at them. No menu with prices. There is a woman named Terry that steal your money at the restaurant. That’s why she will be pissed if you complain about the food- means less cash in her pocket. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Luxury camping at its best. Compliments to the chef for all our delicious meals. The tree house lobby bar was a little shaky day one, but they restocked...yay!! Access to the Blue Lagoon, be prepared to walk down quite a few steps to get there, but well worth it. Staff was very attentive, and the onsite activity director "Boxer" was very nice 👍🏾. Close proximity to Boston Beach, Winifred Beach, and the Portland lighthouse for a little history.

Truely amazing place, a carribean dream! Located at the blue lagoon, where fresh and salt water meet and the blue is really blue. Kanopi house offers SUP and canoes. We peddled over to monkey island for some snorkeling. And turtles meet for a snack in the bay which you can spot from the beach house. The rooms offer everything you need including a small kitchenette for your morning coffee and a great view into the beautiful garden and the lagoon. The food is delicious and everyone has been super friendly and helpful. We can only leave our best recommendations and hope to be back on day in paradise.

Kanopi Hotel was the most disappointing accommodation during my family’s recent trip to Jamaica. It was clear that the hotel has been resting on the laurels of its proximity to the Blue Lagoon and perhaps its former glory days when the property was new and in better shape. It also seems to be using its ecotourism brand to get away with minimal upkeep. We stayed in the Almond Treehouse, which was spacious and tastefully decorated, but in need of some sprucing up. It certainly did not resemble the luminous photos we had seen on the website. The pathway leading to our cottage was a mess (a breadfruit had fallen and burst on the steps and wooden banister, attracting all kinds of bugs, and no one bothered to clean it up). In the room, the bathroom in particular was a huge disappointment. When we arrived, one of the faucets for the face basin was leaking, spilling over on to the counter top, leaving a puddle there and on the floor. We alerted the reception and they simply sent someone to turn off the water connection to the faulty faucet, which remained unusable throughout our stay. The shower was in need of a fresh coat of paint, the shower curtain was dingy and moldy and the toilet itself was old and worn. Even the access to the Blue Lagoon was a letdown. When we went to take out kayaks on the lagoon, we discovered that the access area was a small unkempt strip of mud, pebbles and exposed tree roots, with all sorts of fishing detritus scattered around. When I voiced this observation out loud, the attendant replied that they were in the process of cleaning up from a storm. Still, I wondered why had they not built a proper dock to facilitate better access to the water like other properties nearby. All these defaults mean that Kanopi Hotel is not worthy of a 4 star hotel status, and certainly not at the exorbitant price that we paid, over $500 per night! (which we discovered upon arrival was even more expensive than the local quote we had been given in our previous correspondence with the hotel). Throughout our stay I kept thinking that the hotel was far from the ecotourism vibe it projects online and more in-line with traditional extractive tourism ventures common on the island. It was clear that the profits being earned were not being reinvested in property or its environs. I can only hope that the staff is well paid. Even the “road” leading up to the hotel itself was in a most horrendous state, full of pot holes and unlit. I left Kanopi House feeling like I had been scammed. I would not return to or recommend this hotel.

We stayed at Kanopi House in April and had a wonderful time! We arrived quite late and yet the manager arranged dinner for us, although the kitchen was closed already. We stayed in Hummingbird and really loved it. I don't understand people here complaining about insects. You sleep in treehouses here in the jungle and this is what you get: an experience in nature. We didn't have a lot of insects, so no big deal. Speaking of the nature, the location is simply paradise. The view from the restaurant was breathtaking. Also the way down to the Blue Lagoon (with direct access) was just beautiful. And yes, the place is quite remote, but yet there are so many possibilities to discover the area. The whole staff was very friendly. I want to say special thanks to Peter and Mellow who we're so incredibly nice and helpful all the time. Thanks for all your recommendations and help with arranging tours and transport. For the places nearby I recommend using the route taxis, they are much cheaper and a great way to meet local people. Also, there is a little store on the main road where you can buy some groceries. The lady who owns the place is very sweet. An absolute must is taking a boat ride with Boxer ( one of the staff members). He ist a very great guy that will take you around the Blue Lagoon, Monkey Island and some of the beaches. The food was also very good, we had great coconut shrimp and steamed fish. However, the food was very expensive, which is why I didn't give 5 stars. Nevertheless, we would definitely come back, it was exactly what we were looking for: an escape from work in the most amazing nature with good food and great people!

Words can’t even describe how amazing this place is. We just returned home from a 5 night stay in the breadfruit suite. The suite is everything you could dream of. My dream vacation is one where I’m not waking up early to reserve chairs at the pool or beach. We were one of 3 couples there so always had chairs at both! The service is impeccable and we loved Ariana, Stephanie, and Janel! The food is TO DIE FOR! I gained 5 pounds and was never hungry. I am going to try to make the lobster escavitch at home because it was so great! Do not hesitate to book here, it’s the best vacation I’ve ever had and we will definitely be returning!

This resort has changed the way I want to travel, as I haven't experienced anything like it. I wasn't sure if I'd enjoy the resort due to its secluded location, but it is perfect for relaxing and recharging. And you really taste the quality and care put into the food that's prepared from scratch. The views are amazing, and the balcony is next-level. We stayed in a suite, so I can only imagine how the villa experience will be. I stayed at another resort near MJB on my last night in Jamaica to experience Montego Bay, and there was no comparison. We booked a VIP room at the other resort, and was slightly disappointed upon check-in. The room at the other resort was very nice, but nothing like our experience at Bluefields. After staying at Bluefields Villas and Suites, the bar has been set really high. We will be back...as often as we can.

My husband and I stayed in the suites 2 months ago and hardly a day goes by that I don't fondly think of our stay at Bluefields. I'm used to vacations where we are going on a different excursion every day, but this is a different type of place. It's so relaxing and beautiful, we were happy to stay on our porch in the morning and relax around the property throughout the day. The meals at the Treehouse, Dirty Bananas at the beach bar, and espresso in the morning - all fresh and delicious. The real star of the experience was the staff. They were kind, friendly, and accommodating without being stiff or formal. Thoroughly delightful. Take a walk with a local guide, swim at the beach, take in the sunset - we can't wait to return!

This is an amazing property with breathtaking views, friendly staff and chef prepared meals in an all inclusive environment. My girlfriend and I had an amazing time and can't wait to go back.

Reflecting on my time at Bluefield Bay Villas I cannot help but be excited to return! From the moment my partner and I stepped foot onto Bluefields, to leaving our vacation was seamless. Our transportation was arranged by Bluefields and our driver was punctual, friendly, and so knowledgeable of the history of Jamaica. Upon arrival we were greeted by Jamila, who checked us in and gave us a tour of the property, and anything we may need to know. We stayed in one of the suites, through Hilton, and didn’t quite know what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised that it was its own one bedroom mini villa overlooking the ocean. It was beautifully designed, comfortable, and had anything you might need for a relaxing stay. The 4 separate suites share a fresh pool overlooking the ocean, and a communal dining area called “The treehouse”. Jamila helped us planned our menus for each day we were there -the night prior. Some of our favorites on the menus were: smoked Mackerel eggs Benedict, lemon swordfish, and the short ribs. The chefs were very accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed every bite we had. The desserts were nothing short of amazing- however I was usually pretty full by this point. The private beach, and beach service was a large bonus for my partner and I. We spent our days relaxing on the beach being served Bluefields coladas ( a play on the classic pina colada). The water was warm and clean and had many different access points unlike other places in Jamaica. Overall it is clear that the owners of Bluefields have taken their time to master what they do. Everything there is intentional and they thrive on the small details. I cannot wait to plan my return.

The experience of just trying to modify, was a headache . 3 employees later and still can’t modify or cancel (because this is a no refund hotel) when the booking was made it was made in error. So instead of canceling, we tried to modify the number of people, but nope, they won’t help with that either. We haven't made it on this trip yet and it's already been a headache speaking with customer service and Hilton. Keep in mind this trip is planned for 2026. We've called, we've emailed, we've chatted and not a single person is willing to help modify or cancel this trip. The first person told us to call Hilton, Hilton said to call the hotel directly, scatterbrains at the hotel are useless and not to mention unpleasant and now they've ruined a trip that is more than a year and a half a way. So since we can't get any help, we've decided to not deal with Hilton... anymore, ever and notify our financial institutions for scam. I should have followed my first mind. Update: response from the so called “owner” Hello. We are very sorry for the issues you are having. As you might guess, your review differs so wildly from the experience of all of our other customers, you situation is not normal for our guests experience. The heart of the problem we are facing is that you booked a non-changeable/refundable rate on the Hilton site. The SLH partnership is fairly new and the processes to work things out with Hilton can take some time. We don't have any direct contact with Hilton, we have to direct questions to SLH, they direct them to Hilton and we get an answer back in due course. Both companies are working on a better way and this should roll out soon and make these infrequent outlier issues quicker to address. In the meantime you may have noticed that we have never tried to charge your card for the stay. I have reviewed the one call you had with an operator here at almost midnight local time and noted that you said you didn't see the Hilton name on the confirmation you received after booking. I have forwarded that as a possible pain point. We have asked them to revisit and review to make absolutely sure that it is painfully clear when people select a rate that is not cancellable, a policy which most hotels and every airline have. policy which most hotels and every airline have. In the future may I suggest calling businesses a bit closer to normal working hours to get the most help before jumping right on an online platform. And to the “owner” I say. Oh how silly and ignorant of you to speak such lies. No way you can honestly say airlines have never offered flight changes, upgrades (after booking) or even cancellation (if you pay for it). Many, many hotels offer cancellation, upgrades, and modifications. Some of the more reputable hotels around the world offer changes. Because this resort does not, that’s fine, but do not be so swift to try to save the reputation but can’t legitimately state a claim for all airlines and hotels. I’ve never had a problem calling customer care of any Hotel I’ve visited and was met with rudeness or because it was a certain time of day. Typically when a customer needs help with travel, hotel accommodations, there is always time to speak with a professional service rep. I don’t operate on hotel time, so I called when it’s convenient for me. The vm said to leave a message, I did that, and now it’s just rudeness. When I called I expect help, knowledge and professionalism. And because we did not get that, we chose to cancel all plans and not just modify, which you couldn’t, wouldn’t do anyway. Knowing better is doing better. Now you know better, so do better. Whoever reads this. I’ve posted this on all platforms, but Google is the only way I can update and add.

This was an amazing get away. We stayed in one of the suites . The service is above and beyond . The staff are all so very friendly, professional, and welcoming. There is not one complaint that my husband and I have. Thank you for giving us the most relaxing vacation . We will be back !

A certified green hotel - no air conditioning so expect to open the huge doors and sleep in a tropical jungle. Not good if you have sinus problems. The building is old, but generally maintained well for the tropics (our toilet leaked water and huge french doors were very hard to close due to swelling). External access to rooms so bring a raincoat. Beautiful country style open air common spaces with great views. No bar drinks since COVID, just white/red wine or local beer. Great views, very nice jungle garden pathway. The one lane access road is poorly marked, very steep and not maintained for 70 years. You will need goggle maps to find it. The food service has been taken over by a really good Italian chef - but is very expensive ($226 USD for three meals for two without drinks, more than the hotel room). No menu, it is farm/boat to table, but you can make requests and ask the prices. Best food in Jamaica. The hotel is quite remote, so expect a fairly long taxi ride to town.

A beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting! Opening the shutters onto our balcony after a good night's sleep we awake to a glorious view of gardens, forest and sea. The hotel is very eco conscious and Angela is a warm and welcoming host. Highly recommended and excellent coffee!.

Let share a bit about this place call Mockingbird hill hotel. Let me say first of all this review has been long coming .this beautiful gem is breathtaking. The views are absolutely fantastic. I stayed there with my family. The host was inviting. She took the the time to go through everything with us .I cant fault this place the food was lovely. I see where people are saying it is expensive. You are paying for the comfort, the secludnest and tranquility. Further more, it's a ecofriendly place. Angela and the staff who work there made us feel comfortable. We were shown around in the gardens.Angela also recommended local attractions like,Frenchman cove ,Boston jerk and Roselle falls St.Thomas

Beautiful hotel located in a lush, tropical paradise! The rooms have gorgeous views of the 6 acre garden and at night all you are the wonderful sounds of nature around you. It’s a special type of retreat, when you’re in a place like this, for both mind and body! Wifi works well, showers are hot, and the service is great. The second floor and pools are gorgeous places to relax and take in the breath taking views the hotel offers as it is located atop a hill. On top of all of this, there’s even have an app that you can download to give you more information about the hotel and surrounding attractions. Close drive to all the major attractions (blue lagoon, Frenchmen cove, Boston bay, town) in the area which is another plus :) Paula and Angela are so friendly they make you feel right at home as soon as you arrive (thank you!). For these reasons and more, I’d be more than happy to stay here again and would recommend it highly for anyone looking for an accommodation in port Antonio!!

Without doubt one of the favorite hotels, I stayed during my time in Jamaica! I was in Jamaica for the funeral of a family member,although it was a sad occasion Hotel Mocking Bid lighten up the experience. Upon arrival (very late in the night) we were warmly welcomed by the staff. The staff was amicable, the restaurant very flexible (appreciate this!) and all their dishes are made upon your order, this means no precooked, canned persevered food. I had fresh fruits every morning with Jamaica best "Blue mountain" coffee and homemade loaves of bread. You need to try their coconut bread. I travel a lot, and this bread was one of the best I have ever had. The hotel scenery was beautiful, and it was a relieve to stay in such a quiet and peaceful environment. The ambiance was so therapeutic and rejuvenating. The trip to the natural mineral bath was a great way to end the weekend. Excellent! excellent, génial, 优秀.

The hotel property and views are breathtaking 😍. Location is near a lot of attractions 👌🏽. The roads in Port Antonio to get there are currently terrible, so drive slow 😖. Did we have a 4 star hotel experience? 🤔 No. Rather an Air BnB vibe due to the current situation. If everything would be up & running we would give it 4 stars. If you want to experience nature, meditate, want to relax a lot or do a lot of hiking, this is the place to go to. You'll have a great time. If you expect 4 star luxury: don't book this hotel OR alter your expectation and you'll be fine. THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND Our garden room was basic (no airconditioning and tv. Free wifi which works well mostly). Naturally airconditioning room = 2 fans and the possibility to leave doors and windows open. Result = bugs, red ants and mosquitoes. So, take mosquito repellent with you. Breakfast isn't included. The restaurant is closed but an alternative is offered for which you have to make a reservation 1 day ahead. So if you arrive late in the afternoon make sure you had dinner before, because there's no food or snacks in the hotel. There's no bar service either. So bring your own drinks and food (local supermarket down the hill). This gave us an Air B n B feel rather than a (4 star) hotel. Also, you need to pay cash for the food alternative. You can't use your bank or credit card. We didn't know (because they didn't tell us upfront). When checking out, we had to drive 40 mins back and forth on a bad road, into town to get money from a cash machine in order to pay the food 🤔 You can make tea and coffee in your room, don't expect anything fancy or luxurious. We're happy the concierge gave us a mini fridge after we asked to put our drinks in the kitchen fridge. We didn't know the rooms and beds are cleaned when you leave (or when you stay longer than 5 days). There's a note in the bathroom, but currently it isn't accurate due to covid staff problems, as explained by the manager after asking. You need to ask for new towels, they don't come into your room to check if they need to change them on a daily basis. Lastly, if you want info you need to ask. Don't expect outgoing staff members who give you a lot of information. Local staff is friendly when you address them and ask questions.

Wonderfully relaxing hotel in amazing location. The hotel was ahead of its time with its sustainable ethos and it’s great to be able to stay in such a lovely environment and hopefully minimise our impact. Close to the most beautiful beaches and Blue Mountains about an hour away. Highly recommended.
