This was a perfect place for traditional Brazilian churrasco! The food was amazing, the service was top notch, and restaurant was beautiful & clean. Bruno was helping us throughout the meal and he was wonderful. We drove in from the island and it was 100% worth it.

Probably one of my must visit place each time I’m in the region. I first came here 2 years ago, and returned twice this time during my 5 days stay in the city. The service is top notch, meat doesn’t stop coming and plates are replaced/ cleared quickly. The salad buffet has everything you need, all the different sauces you need and desserts included in the price (269.90 reais for a couple in the evening). Love it 👍🏻

Place is not that big, lots of small stores. Strong on small fast food places. Good fish and meat market with lots of options, on the other side the vegetables area in this building was small, you need to go out of the building and across the plaza to buy fresh fruit and vegetables. Public park not available, you need to pay for it and it is expensive.

Another aisle is a fish market which is worth a look to become familiar with the seafood from the region. There are a number of restaurants to have a great meal while sitting back and getting a feel for the vibe, the hustle and bustle of the “centro” or downtown. For a food tip, try a casquinha de Siri, which is a local favorite in which all the meat is removed from a crab, then it’s put back into the shell with some breading and baked. The fried shrimp is also a favorite. Try a caipirinha which is a drink made with cachaca, a Brazilian alcohol made from sugar cane. You can get a caipirinha de limão (lemon), Maracujá (passionfruit), or morango (strawberry) Be warned, it’s a sweet drink because they add sugar. You can ask for (mitar de açúcar) which is half the normal amount of sugar they add. The beer is also served in a plastic cover that keeps the bottle cold. Also great beer. I like original which is light and refreshing.
