The best advice I can give is to check the weather before you go, choose an agency to buy it a few days before you plan going because it is a really popular place, if you arrive there without your ticket probably you will face a big queue to try to take the boat! If you have problems with the boat, bring your medicine because it will take 40 min by boat to get there! The water is beautiful, paradise!

A beautiful island with calm but freezing water. If you go on the weekend, there are many boats obstructing the view of the ocean. Nonetheless, the island feels calm and relaxed. We (foreigners) were told it costs 300 reais per person round trip to the island. When we said we don't have that much cash, they lowered it to 200 reais per person (Feb 2022). Still expensive based on other comments here, but I guess that's the price you pay for not being brazilian.

Definitely a must see when in Florianópolis. Great construction with an even greater view. The bridge has a separate walking/cycling lane, to safely get across.

Very crowded in high season, however if you stay here overnight and get out on the beach on the extremities of the day it is a whole different experience. Beautiful sunrise and moonrise. The place is nearly deserted. Better yet come off season for a relaxing time.

Overbuilded with real estate you will be stuck in traffic for hours. Extremely expensive and overrated. Strongly not recommened like the rest of the island.

Beautiful Beach. It is not tourist season currently so it is quiet. A great place to take a walk and meditate. The sand is like powdered sugar and the winds aren't too chilly near mid-day. Unfortunately, we came across a dead sea turtle during our stroll the other day. Please be sure not to litter on the beach. These poor creatures mistake the trash for food and meet an untimely demise.

Beach with short sand bank to stay on, but with dunes to walk before you access it. It was ok waves for surfing and at the end of October, it was not crowded.

In my opinion, this is the best and most beautiful beach in the whole island. It’s super clean with beautiful waves with crystal clear water everybody in the beach area super friendly. There are some residential areas and residential houses. The neighboring people are super friendly and they welcome you to the beach. The sand is super clean. I visited this place during May and I really enjoyed it. I highly suggest this place to people who want to enjoy Crystal Clearwater, nice hot sand. Fantastic place to relax!!!

The waves there are very big, that's what I like about this beach because I play with my family and we all have fun.

Nice beach with soft white sand. One place that sells beverages and not many beach vendors here so bring at least your own food. Not much parking around except private for hotels and condominiums. Paragliding available and it's a nice experience from the nearby hills.

Rather small selection of displays. But the photo exhibit I felt was superior. Building also includes a concert hall theater.

The collection of photographs is good but this is a very small museum. Even combined with the Museu do Som in the same building this just wasn't worth an Uber ride.

Good exhibition spaces, could be made more accessible though, content-wise and location-wise, hardly anyone visiting there. Would be great if they could move to a location in the city center.

Went there when the exhibition was closed and under renovation. Wasted my time there for nothing. Funny how employees don't know how to use my google translator app. All they had to do was talk on it. It's not that complicated.

The trails are very nice, but I wouldn't say the same for the beach, unless you surf it is not a very enjoyable beach.. But it has a nice preserved area!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Playa Mole is everything I dreamed of and more. The surf? Unreal. The kind of waves that make you feel like a pro… until you wipe out in front of a crowd of beautiful people. The sand is so white it makes my sunscreen look lazy, and the water is so clear I could see fish judging my paddling technique. The vibes? Immaculate. It’s like everyone there just rolled out of a hammock and somehow still looks like a model. If you’re into surfing, chilling, and pretending you belong in a postcard, this is the place to be.

Neighborhood of Selina Florianopolis just across the street. It's a decent beach with space. Small, nothing particularly special about it. It's like season right now so maybe there will be more activity during high season which I hear starts in November and December. It's an okay but not absolutely must see beach. Clean though.

Beautiful beach, I’ve been here multiple times - as all beaches in Florianopolis it is always windy! I have been to this beach maybe 10 times and there was one occasion where it wasn’t windy. With that being said the trails and vibe of the beach really do make it special - it’s quite a gypsy beach (if you like that kind of thing) and there is always waves so for surfing it’s good (swimming not so much)

Absolutely splendid place! I spent my honeymoon there and I had the best time of my life. Lots of activities, super chill vibe and safe. You can go scuba diving on the little island in the horizon I've met so many nice people there and there's a big lgbt and hippie community, which is where the fun is at. No matter how you look like, you'll feel included. There's also professional surfers and fishermen as well , all sorts of cool people. Let's not forget how AMAZING the fish is at the little food place on the beach Absolutely recommend it

Mole beach is good, a little bit less crowded than other beaches, and the view is beautiful. It's close to Lagoa, you can walk to here.

Breathtaking, and so much fun, you can rent a board to do some sand surfing or bring your own, the view is stunning. Just be prepared to find sand in every nook and cranny of your body.

These dunes are amazing. It costs R$20 per hour and they give you a bracelet so you are the only person allowed to use it for that hour. It is quite high and tirering so if your physical conditions aren't the best you might struggle with it. There are car parks nearby and they cost around R$10/20 per day but you can also park on the street and it will be fine. Some car parks have showers and toilets included on these prices. The boards are in good condition here and the staff is helpful. They also give you wax so the board can get more speed. The beach is nearby and you can get there walking. If the temperature is less than 25 degrees the water might be cold and it might bring jelly fishes. There are restaurants and bars in there. The dunes are just perfect and the moisture from the sea helps it to be in the best condition. Do not buy water from the place in front of it as it tastes like swage and it looks like they have bottled it themselves.

Place is not that big, lots of small stores. Strong on small fast food places. Good fish and meat market with lots of options, on the other side the vegetables area in this building was small, you need to go out of the building and across the plaza to buy fresh fruit and vegetables. Public park not available, you need to pay for it and it is expensive.

If you’re visiting Florianopolis, Mercado Público should be a stop on your itinerary. It’s a look back at the historic marketplace which has been recently renovated. Sure, it’s become very touristy, with souvenir shops, but locals also shop lower priced shoes and goods. Another aisle is a fish market which is worth a look to become familiar with the seafood from the region. There are a number of restaurants to have a great meal while sitting back and getting a feel for the vibe, the hustle and bustle of the “centro” or downtown. For a food tip, try a casquinha de Siri, which is a local favorite in which all the meat is removed from a crab, then it’s put back into the shell with some breading and baked. The fried shrimp is also a favorite. Try a caipirinha which is a drink made with cachaca, a Brazilian alcohol made from sugar cane. You can get a caipirinha de limão (lemon), Maracujá (passionfruit), or morango (strawberry) Be warned, it’s a sweet drink because they add sugar. You can ask for (mitar de açúcar) which is half the normal amount of sugar they add. The beer is also served in a plastic cover that keeps the bottle cold. Also great beer. I like original which is light and refreshing.

This place appears to have everything! Such a fun place to visit and even just window shop. Would highly recommend visiting the market and surrounding area if you’re in Floripa.

Amazing lookout, the big drop from the viewing platform makes it seem surreal - highly recommend. The neighbourhood on the way up the hill seems a bit dodgy and the road is extremely narrow and steep. Some parts you need to remain in 1st gear otherwise the car won’t have enough power to go up! For me it all added to the experience and made the view even more rewarding

This place saw worse, but also had seen better ones. Currently, in high season, you have a car keeper, and because of the amount of people there is quite safe. The views are incredible giving the visitor a nice perspective of the central part of the island, for multiple sides.

Highly recommended little trail. You can start out of Lagoa and decide how far you wanna go. Every couple of meters there is a little boat bridge from where you can take a boat back into town. They go every hour and cost 15 RS. The track itself is easy and fun and shady. Lots of vegetation to see, I saw even monkeys. Very nice beach! Great for body surfing as its break is not far nor too hard. Plenty of food and drinks places and well safe with lifeguards around. Parking could be tricky, though. Pick a paid lot that offers a shower on the way out, and you can't go wrong!

Beautiful park in the middle of the city. There are some homeless but don't let it stop you from coming here. They are enjoying it as well. A very old gorgeous huge tree sits right in the middle of the park and marks the center of the city

Also the main market is close to there, so if you want to enjoy a good meal, no to expensive and chill a bit, this is the place. Charming place at the historic heart of a most lovely city, Floripa, as the locals call it. What I like the most about it were the amazing, really well preserved trees at the square. I also enjoyed some sugar cane juice and local pastries just adjacent to that lovely place.

Rats running every where. Drugs being sold on public in this area. A lot homeless and sometimes stealing accured. Police there are extremly lazy. Like died bodies just standing and don't do nothing. They just stay playing with there cellphones.

A grate square with a big shade from centenary tree is remarkable, besides an artcraft fair in front the church, with various gifts for tourists take out.

It's one of the most traditional places in the island. It's nice, historic and all but it lacks a little bit of care IMHO.

An amazing authentic fishermen's place with a church on the main square and a cozy little beach piled with boats. Originally was used as a kinda workshop for making tools (armas =armação) for catching whales,which used to migrate here in the neighborhood

Beautiful building with excellent historical exhibits. I'm taking off one star as the second floor is not open to visitors. It can be seen from the bottom of the stairs and clearly the upstairs would be worth seeing. The staff here were friendly and helpful.

If you are into history, then check this palace. The Cruz e Sousa Palace is home to the Santa Catarina Historical Museum. It has a neoclassical style and is named after the symbolist poet Cruz e Sousa. It is originally built to serve as the governor's residence. It wasn't until the late 19th century that the palace was completed and officially became the seat of the state government. It's a really good beach. Very chill, okay for surfing but small waves, people tend to be nice and there's a lifeguard outpost in the beach. During the summer the place usually is very crowded, but if you want to get away from it, a 5 to 15 minute walk will get you to a completely free spot in most days. Unfortunately, there's no handicapped chair access. Enjoy the beach!

Not too busy, somewhat remote in regards to proximity to Florianópolis (Floripa). Super strong under tow in places, best to swim when the tide is coming in. Small to medium sized waves. Large waves are rare in good weather.

Excelent for kids, large sand space, respectful surfers, life guards and easy parking. But beware of not many services like food stands. There's a small market near by (steep prices) and some vendors walking up and down the beach. But beautiful as you can imagine! :)

Beautiful seaside trail. A medium easy 1h30 hike connecting Santinho and Matadeiro beaches with amazing views.

The hike to Mozambique beach can be difficult but it is so beautiful! Definitely wear good shoes and bring water.

Incredibly awesome! The whole trail "trilha" surrounded by nature, different canopies and greener-than-green vegetation. It's 50min upside, moderate difficulty.

I was amazed by this viewpoint. All this rustic and narrow trail take you to a paceful and quiet place. Water color is an extra. It looks pure and 50 tons from blue to green. In my opinion, this trail is medium difficulty and of course you must be careful with insects and use sunscreen. No doubt, I'd come back.
