Amusement park
Water & Amusement Parks
Theme Parks
Pola Park, a theme park that opened in 1996, spans across 24000 m2 and offers a wide range of attractions suitable for children of all ages. From classic fairground rides like the thrilling roller coaster and giant pendulum to go-karting, mini-golf, water slides, and an aerial train, there's something for everyone to enjoy. The park also features a pirate boat, bouncy castles, flying chairs, and more.
A good park for small kids at a reasonable price. The best attractions usually have queues, so you may need to wait. If you have the whole day, it’s not a problem. Otherwise, you can purchase the express option for an extra charge to get priority access.

As someone coming from Bosnia and Herzegovina, I’ve had the chance to visit many amusement parks, but Pola Park in Santa Pola truly left a special impression! It’s the perfect place for families, couples, children, and even adults who want to relive the carefree joy of childhood. The park is beautifully organized, clean, and well-maintained, with a wide variety of attractions suitable for all age groups – from adrenaline-filled rides and skill games to gentler rides for the little ones. I especially want to praise the staff, who are incredibly friendly, patient, and always ready to help. In addition to the fun, the park also offers plenty of food and drink stands at affordable prices, and it’s important to note that all the attractions are safe and regularly maintained. The atmosphere is colorful, cheerful, and filled with music and smiles – a true little oasis of fun near the coast. The evening light decorations make walking through the park even more enjoyable. A warm recommendation for everyone staying in Santa Pola or nearby – Pola Park is simply a must-see! Whether you're a tourist, a local, or like me – a visitor from Bosnia and Herzegovina – you're guaranteed to find joy, laughter, and plenty of wonderful memories here. 🎢🎠🎉

I had a fantastic time at Pola Park today. I paid €9.99 for my tickets beforehand. All workers were friendly especially Adriano and Alexis who kindly translated English for me. I wasn’t happy with the service from the lady who made my crepe. She didn’t finish off the crepe with a nice chocolate topping that usual crepes gave and when I asked she gave an attitude and just poured it on it.
Salmana — Google review
I was considering giving them 4 stars... But I just can't when I consider the value for money of what they have to offer for children. You won't find modem rides for the ultimate frills here, they are mostly old fairground rides, selected specifically for young kids. That's not the point, they are perfect for kids up to 10yrs old, and the whole park is dedicated to them. So they have a mini pirate ship, dodgem cars, vertical drop, roller coaster etc etc plus larger rides where young kids can still get on with an adult, full size dodgem cars, go karts etc. A part from the fact that the park is tailored to younger kids, if you were to pay for these rides at a fair you'd pay way more for far less time. The food was also reasonably priced for a theme park and the staff were pleasant and helpful. At the end of the day the kids had an awesome time and got to go on some rides that they wouldn't have been able to at a normal theme park since they would have been made only for adults. We will definitely go back.
Jayen W — Google review
Pola park is a old amusement park, some rides are our of order and some have seen better days. If you buy tickets in advance 2-3 days you'll get a discount and they do offer free entry day after, read the fine line in that offer. At the location tickets are most expensive. They have many rides for kids but some have hight restrictions over 90,120 and 130 cm. Some rides have weight limit as well and they weigh you on side. You pay entry fee and then all rides are included, however you'll have to order tickets for the horror house online in advance and the show is on the hour. On weekdays at 9pm the park is as busy as it gets so the ques are quite long for the popular rides. They do offer some burgers and hotdogs even possible to get gluten free burgerbuns however I did not find this appealing. Restrooms were okey clean not overly dirty although the stalls are very narrow and you have to back in to them. If you are planning to drive early bird gets a parking spot so have that in mind.
Berglind B — Google review
I will never come back. The park is poorly managed and nothing seems looked after. There is no control over the queues, with more than 100 people waiting at almost every attraction. Even if you manage to get in line, expect to wait at least 40 minutes. On top of that, the prices are unreasonably high: a single Coca-Cola costs €3.50, and a 400g beer is €5
Levan O — Google review
Perfect place to spend so time with your kids. We have been here every year since they where 2 years old. Now they are 7 and 5 and still enjoy it. Thank you for all the great spirit. Lovely people working here.
Christian F — Google review
Everything was really dated, ques to get to the rides were extremely long so we have purchased an express pass only to find out that pass doesn't allow you to go for certain attractions anyway 😆. Not long ago I have been in other park in Italy paying similar price and it was much better and you can clearly see that they spend some money to actually maintain the place.

Castle
The venerable fortress and castle, constructed around 1558, houses a chapel and a maritime museum. It hosts special events as well. As you meander through the winding streets, you will come across ancient Roman ruins and be awestruck by the striking Santa Pola Castle's beauty. This tour not only offers insight into the lives of local fishermen but also introduces visitors to a variety of culinary delights found in town.
Beautiful, well preserved fort/castle. Open 24 hours. There is a museum inside, and also a small chapel. We visit early August. The museum closed at 9pm, but the chapel closed at 8pm, so be sure to visit the chapel first. Follow us on YouTube, Instagram and Facebook for more.intwresting places to visit. We travel full-time, living in our motorhome. Finding XANADU

Be careful not to book apartments close by - bell tower rings every hour 24/7. It’s a special treat during night hours. Other than that, it’s beautifully an worth checking out.

Nice little castle in Santa Pola. Quite a few events take place here. There is a museam but closes Mondays. Plenty of coffee places in the square next door. A fantastic church sits in the corner of the castle. Must visit
Paul S — Google review
A fascinating historical fortress located in the very heart of Santa Pola, originally built in the 16th century to protect the coast from pirate attacks. The structure has been very well preserved and today it hosts the Sea Museum, the Fishing Museum, a small chapel, and exhibition halls where cultural events frequently take place. The atmosphere is calm and authentic, with bastions and courtyards that allow you to imagine how life was centuries ago. Its central location makes it very easy to combine a visit with a walk along the promenade or nearby restaurants, so it is an ideal stop for both history lovers and casual visitors.
Maksim T — Google review
There are a couple of museums here and a chapel. Locals congregate here later in the day, my wife and I enjoyed sitting and people watching here.
Jason — Google review
Free to enter. The museum is interesting showing the boating and fishing history of the area. I found the staff to be very pleasant and helpful. Well maintained grounds and situated at a large plaza with plenty of shops and food places. English can be a challenge, but with a few Spanish words and a smile, you can get by. Things pretty much close down for Siesta and open back up around 4PM. Not sure if museum shuts down during this time.
Greg E — Google review
Beautiful structure and well kept. There is a Museum inside that is free and has wonderful staff, fluent in English also to tell you about the exhibits. Very nice place.

This castle is beautiful, there are 3 museums and a church inside. It is well worth a visit and to learn the history behind Santa Pola fishing town. It's free to enter. The castle itself is open 24 hours to walk through, museums are regular hours.

Mirador del Far de Santa Pola offers breathtaking panoramic views of Alicante Bay from an elevated walkway leading to a clifftop observation deck. The lighthouse, built in 1858 on the site of an old watchtower 'Atalayola,' is located to the northeast of Santa Pola. Visitors are encouraged to witness the stunning sunrises and sunsets, as well as the starry night sky.
It's a long single track road to your destination, but we'll worth the drive down, there are parts where yoj can pull over if carz coming towards you. Parking available outside the lighthouse gates and also a car park just down the road. With Disabled spaces just at the edge of the walkway too outside the lighthouse gates. Stunning views on a sunny day. You can see Alicante, Santa Pola and beyond. Great viewing point for Tarbaca Island too. Lots of benches to sit on to admire the view. No toilets in the area though.

Great scenery, great place to visit, especially because there are not much scenic places to visit in this region. Beautiful lighthouse (unfortunately, visitors are not allowed), great see view, island of Tabarca is also perfectly visible in the distance. Sadly, the info stands are sun-bleached and almost unreadable. Also keep in mind that the road to reach the location is bumpy and narrow.
Karolis K — Google review
Great viewing platform that is near the lighthouse and looks down over the beach and sea. The road to drive there is tarmac but quite bumpy and is about 3 km. The morning I went it was over cast but still nice to visit as I was going past. There is quite a bit of parking in 3 car parks and lots of nice walks.
Richard A — Google review
Amazing views, unexpected interesting old military site, loads of wildlife around, very clean and well maintained. Shame no refreshments and road is narrow
Christine A — Google review
Beautiful view everyone must seem that view
Erika L — Google review
The road down to the skywalk is quite bumpy and lots of craters to avoid driving over if you value your car. We took it easy driving down and were glad we went there. To be honest the skywalk itself isn’t that awe inspiring but still worth doing for the views. We went on a chilly overcast day but it did mean we had some dramatic skies
Su K — Google review
The way with the car was not quite easy because of the many road damage. By foot possibly a little too long. Maybe with the biycle , which makes the way also not better. In any case, the path is narrow. 2 cars hardly fit side by side. The view itself was great, although I thought the bridge would be longer. Everything is well secured. Nice place for picnics if you want. Our stay was short, because you have seen everything quite quickly.
Petra S — Google review
The road which takes you down to it is part unmade but a fiat can handle it if taken slow. It's about 1.5 miles off the road to the viewing area. Disabled parking at the end. It's a short walk out to the platform and you can get a good view over the cliffs and put it to sea. Access is easy enough for most. It's nice for a picnic or short stop Overall I would recommend a visit for the view.

Gran Playa is a popular spot for swimming and sunbathing, featuring wide golden sands and nearby cafes. It is part of the central zone in Santa Pola, along with the marina and port. The beach stretches 1060m to the south and is adjacent to the 460m long Playa de Levante to the north. Both beaches have fine sand and are bordered by a 7 km promenade.

Free public beach. ❗Sand is a bit hard. ❗There is a possibility of encountering seaweed in the sea. ✅ Clean beach (there are enough garbage bins and they are collected regularly) ✅ With enough fountains, it is possible to leave the beach with clean feet ❗Finding a parking space can be a challenge.
Serkan K — Google review
Wide sandy beach with plenty of space and shallow, clean warm water.Excellent for observing marine life swimming, water sports or just relaxing.Salt lagoons and flamingoes 10 min walk, also good selection of bars and restaurants close by.Excellent atmosphere, customer service and food at the new Ibiza beach restaurant close to Chiringuito.
Lilitzamoi — Google review
A calm and spacious beach, with plenty of room and usually not crowded. The water stays very shallow for a long distance, which makes it ideal for children to play safely. There isn’t much infrastructure around and the surroundings are quite empty, but that can be a plus if you’re looking for peace and simplicity away from the busy tourist spots.

Santa Pola lighthouse stands 15 meters above its base and 138 meters above sea level, offering stunning views from about 360 meters away from the shore. The access road is narrow and in poor condition, making it challenging for cars to navigate. However, the breathtaking views of the sea and Tabarca Island make the journey worthwhile. Visitors are advised to avoid traveling on humid or rainy days due to difficult road conditions.
Awesome sunrise. Well worth the early start.
Jeff D — Google review
This location is breathtaking. The views from this cliff is spectacular. You can see the entire coastline from Benidorm to Ls Zenia. There is also a skybridge which is a walkway/bridge hanging outside the cliffs. Mind the car access from N-332 is veey narrow. You can also reach this location via footpath from Santa Pola.
Kelly L — Google review
Nice place for a walk. Not electric but traditional and there is a family that has operated it for some time. As a side note, paragliding is popular and highly recommended in the area!!
Amarjit M — Google review
Skywalk of Santa Pola fantastic views.
Lee W — Google review
Incredible views, probably best in the morning before the crowds arrive. The surrounding woodland is inhabited by red-necked nightjars, the calling of which on summer evenings is strikingly reminiscent of a laser blaster firing
Gleb B — Google review
Dastardly 4 kms of road down to it. Not many parking spaces down there. Lovely view over to Tabarca, one place we would not bother going again. Would we visit the lighthouse, or in fact Tabarca again, a big no.
Phil G — Google review
Great walk up to the site. Wonderful views including of Corsica.
Dennis W — Google review
A beautiful spot with an outstanding view, but the access road and parking a local embarrassment. Total lack of investment from Santa Pola which guts Gran Alacant for taxes and never reinvests. So much more could be made of the nearby gun emplacements too.

Aquari Municipal de Santa Pola, also known as the Santa Pola oceanarium, is a charming saltwater aquarium that showcases marine life from the Mediterranean. It aims to educate visitors about deep-sea creatures and contribute to the conservation of endangered species. With 9 spacious tanks, it is the oldest and largest saltwater aquarium in the Valencian Community. The collection mainly consists of species donated by local sailors and fishermen.
A really lovely local aquarium with many local Mediterranean species of sea life. The welcome attendant was very friendly and kind and very helpful providing us a map of the tanks including what species were where. Free entrance in December. Handicapped and people with mobility issues can enter. Well worth the visit!!! Don’t miss it!! 🐟 🐙 🐠

Small and nice. Perfect for a small break from the heat with kids. Today was free entrance. Would have liked more information about the different kinds of fish.
Emma K — Google review
This little aquarium is a short break from the city or summer heat. It's quite small and gets really busy so busy in fact that you may have to wait in line to get in. You will stay for max 30 - 40 minutes if so long. But entry was free and although this was maybe not worth the trip to Santa Paula alone you could have a lovely day in the town and this aquarium be one stop in the day.
Berglind B — Google review
Having been to some of the biggest aquariums in the world, I wasn't expecting much from the small local (free!) one, but we enjoyed our stop very much and it was nice to see what you can see in the area under the surface.

Playa Lisa is a fantastic destination for families seeking a fun and relaxing beach day. With its gentle, shallow waters and expansive sandy areas, it's the perfect spot for kids to play while parents unwind under the sun. Located in Santa Pola alongside Gran Playa and Playa del Tamarit, this beach offers a vibrant atmosphere with various leisure options and dining nearby. For those who prefer tranquility, Playa Tamarit provides a serene escape from the crowds.
Lovely beach, short walk to the sea. Can be a lack of space at busy times. Nice range of bars, shops and restaurants along the seafront.

Visited out of season and took own chairs. Nice beach with flat firm grey sand. Sea was full of seaweed so did not swim in it.
Sue A — Google review
Unfortunately, I am not satisfied with my stay in Santa Pola or other places in the surrounding area that I visited, and I see the same issue everywhere. Sadly, when I recall memories from the trip, what I remember most is the constant presence of dog and even human feces. In various places — literally everywhere. Even on a car. I believe you have a very serious sanitation problem, especially when thinking about children, who cannot be let out of sight because of this. Sightseeing in Spain, unfortunately, means constantly staring at the pavement to avoid unpleasant surprises. There is also a lack of public sanitation facilities and toilets. I don't think this is appropriate for a tourist-oriented country. It reminds me of the 1980s in the Eastern Bloc. Overall — dirt, dirt, and more dirt...

The Archaeological Remains of Portus Illicitanus offer a fascinating glimpse into the rich Roman heritage of Santa Pola, showcasing its historical significance as a bustling trade hub. Visitors can explore the remnants of the Roman House of the Palmeral, where fish pickling and salting practices date back to the 4th century BC. Imagine the lively trading activities that once filled this charming fishing town!
(Translated by Google) It is a wonderful site that concerns us today. We are going to discuss the only remains that are currently visible from the ancient port of the Roman colony Iulia Ilici Augusta, the Portus Ilicitanus. Highlight first of all that although the archaeological site does not have a large extension, what we will see is nothing but a tiny portion, mistreated by time, circumstances and people; of the entire enormous urban complex that was the Roman port, and that currently lies beneath the subsoil of Santa Pola. We must assume that the portus was born at the time when the colony of Ilici was founded by Augustus during the late 1st century BC. or beginning of the 1st AD, accompanying the main metropolis on which it depended in progress and development. The city of Ilici was located about 8 km from its port, we have to understand the enormous logistical, commercial and strategic importance that a city had if it had access to the waters of the seas, and even more so if the sea that bathed its coasts was the Mediterranean during the height of Roman rule. For this reason, it is not difficult to understand the enormous urban development, personified in extensive building projects that were carried out in the portus and its city, its settlement extending chronologically from the high empire to late antiquity, not diminishing in prestige despite the numerous transformations in its urban fabric and infrastructure. Proof of this influence and strategic importance at a global level of the Roman state is the fact that in the year 460 AD. or 461 AD. The emperor Majorian gathered in the Portus Ilicitanus and not in any other, his military fleet that was around three hundred ships and was summoned with the objective of attacking the coasts of North Africa and recovering such a precious province from the clutches of the Vandals. Unfortunately the emperor was betrayed and his fleet destroyed, but if the enterprise had been successful, the Romans would have recovered the supply of grain for Italy, which would have meant, among other things, a possibility of continuity and survival of the Western Roman Empire. Speaking of the site itself, the perfectly prepared remains, valued and restored with respect, comprise two streets through which various warehouses and industrial facilities were first articulated, which were later transformed into housing, a few hydraulic pipelines and a vast monumental public building of large dimensions. Removing the latter, the rest of the buildings correspond to the typical infrastructure of a port, with buildings dedicated to the storage and transformation of products that must have been destined to be shipped, or that coming from distant waters were awaiting distribution throughout our lands. The so-called public building, whose function and attribution has not yet been clear, is characterized by powerful plinths of considerable thickness. Its plan is basilica and it is believed that its cellas and part of an altar have been found, so the possibility that it is a temple is being considered, although it is too early to say for sure since the place continues to be excavated. I highly recommend a visit to this impressive archaeological site that, together with the Casa del Portus, represents everything that the cruel destructive hand of modern man has left us from the past Roman port. It is necessary to arrange a guided tour to access the ruins for the moment, but it is absolutely worth it if you want to visit what was one of the most important commercial ports on the Levantine coast of old Hispania, whose extensive architectural development and survival through the spiral of decline that the empire went through in its final stage, shows us the renown and magnificence that it displayed, a status barely perceptible today due to the aggressions committed in the recent past, but which nevertheless You can glimpse slightly through the very interesting ruins of this incredible port neighborhood.

The Santa Pola City Council has not known how to adapt the area to make it attractive and functional. Furthermore, taking into account that the town exponentially multiplies the number of people during vacation periods; It makes no sense that they do not set up a closed space that allows you to visit the area comfortably, otherwise, there will be no influx of more people, only schoolchildren and people whose work or motivations are related to archaeology. Marina
The Santa Pola port has a long history, dating back to the fourth century BC, and continues to be one of Spain's important ports in the Mediterranean. It is known for exporting salt and having a small shipbuilding industry. Fishing is the primary activity, with fishermen bringing in their daily catch that gets auctioned off to local restaurants and shops. The modern port is a successor to the ancient Roman port Portus Illicitanus and remains significant for its fishing operations.
This should be marked as A landmark is just so fun to walk around and also very peaceful went there for a sunset noticed when the fisherman came back with the fish it was so entertaining to see. I had a great time. Also, they have quite a few restaurants, some places just to chill down if you’re visiting this small cute little town you should make this one of your stops.

So charming. I love the Santa Pola port because you can see the new and fancy harbour and the original area (at the same time) in which the fish boats are moored. The lighthouse and the astillero (boat repair shop). The promenade is nice for a walk and you get plenty of options for dinner, lunch and good ice cream.

A beautiful marina, with plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. If you want to go to Tarbarca you can get a range of boats over large and steady or small and speedy, from the various kiosks located there. By night the place really is very lively and atmospheric. Street parking available close by but you have to be very lucky for those spots. A well lit well maintained car park is also available, ticket upon entry, pay by machine on leaving.

The Lonja de Pescado de Santa Pola, located at the fishing port, is a historical site with a rich past that has been renovated over time. It was previously used for unloading wine barrels and transporting salt. Today, it is one of the most important ports in the Mediterranean, offering high-quality fish and seafood. Visitors can explore the exhibitions hall from Tuesday to Sunday to learn about the history and operation of the auction.
Bought fresh fish from the market. Also there are some fishermen who sell freshly caught fish right next to the market.

(Translated by Google) From 5 p.m. we walked along the docks of the numerous fishing boats and observed the busy activity of the fishermen. Fish are unloaded, nets are rolled up, ship decks are scrubbed... Here and there a struggling fish lies on the ground and you feel pity. A very interesting scenario (not only for fish eaters) that is worth taking a closer look at. Incidentally, the freshly caught fish is not only sold to wholesalers, but also (at the front of the small market stalls) directly to normal consumers. We took advantage of the opportunity and purchased some delicious shrimp for New Year's Eve. You're unlikely to get a bargain on price - but how often do you get your fish so freshly caught from the boat? In short: a recommended visit.

(Translated by Google) The fishing port of Santa Pola has a long history of renovations, up to the present day. As a curious fact, it was formerly dedicated to unloading and trading wine barrels, as well as transporting salt. Considered one of the most important ports located in the Mediterranean, it provides quality fish and seafood. Supplying both the tables of its inhabitants and the entire conglomerate of restaurants, fishmongers and distribution businesses throughout Alicante, it is an important economic engine for the town of Santa Pola. Intense activity with a long tradition worth seeing with the first rays of sun, you can appreciate the great work of its fishermen and port workers. Excellent genre with racking, ice everywhere, on the way to placement in its picturesque market, intense movement until the sale opens. On the other hand, one of the activities that many of us may not know about the fishing port is its close collaboration with the municipal aquarium of Santa Pola. Reserve conservation of protected native species and release into their environment once the care process is completed. Own experience, I recommend in review for its interest and entertainment for all audiences. Skatepark Santa Pola is the perfect destination for a day of fun and excitement for both kids and adults. The park offers rental options for skateboards, scooters, and helmets, as well as the opportunity to purchase skateboard lessons. Parents can relax in the seating area with a roof while their kids enjoy skating. The park also features bathrooms, showers, and an onsite restaurant for added convenience.
We have been to a few skate parks on this holiday, and this so far has been the best. Firstly it's managed, so someone looks after it. "Oh so I have to pay?" Nope, it's free. There is a bar that serves drinks and food. Loads of seating for spectators, some of which is sheltered. It's clean. The staff very friendly and helpful, and even understood my poor attempts at Spanish in identifying the flavours in the slush machines. The park itself consists of a flat section for tricks like olies, kick flips, and other flat tricks. Then there is a half bowl/pipe, various ramps, and a full on bowl. Covers all skillsets. The park close at 11pm, and is floodlit. Well worth a visit.

M V — Google review
Great free pump track and skate park with nice canteen. The new pump track is definitely something new and thrilling. There is also a climbing wall which is great fun. This is in addition to the already great skate park with it's bowl and half pipe as well as different ramps and grind bars.
Robby S — Google review
Fun park for transition from beginner to advanced, big tight bowl, mini ramp, smaller ramps, terrible street obstacles as far as rails, ledges, and stairs, does have good a frame. Has snack bar. New pump track
Nikisk8 — Google review
It was one of my favourite skatepark in the area for the last years, but unfortunately we went back few days ago since almost one year and we found it different. There are cracks in the floor, trush around the park, that can be dangerous while you skate and the bathroom in terrible higiene conditions! I hope they will take care of it again!
Erica T — Google review
Great place for the kids and family. Food and beverages onsite which is convenient and you can hire skating equipment! A safe place for skating and relaxing. Nice atmosphere!

A great place to make friends and relax. Has bathrooms and a old shower. You can also rent skateboards, scooters, and a helmet. It is possible to buy skateboard lessons. There is also a little restaurant for parents to sit.

Outdoor Activities
Platja de Llevant is an urban public beach in Benidorm, known for its recreational waters, lifeguards, showers, lounge chairs, and volleyball nets. Despite not having the quaint charm of a secluded cove, it is a beloved Blue Flag bay with golden shores and crystal-clear waters. This popular beach offers a bustling atmosphere and stunning views of the Mediterranean sea. During peak season, it can get crowded as visitors flock to enjoy the gentle waves and clean sandy shores.
Very clean, well maintained, public sandy beach. It felt safe, and people were civilized. Great background with the tall buildings in the back. There are plenty of restaurants on the shoreside. There are plenty of sunbeds to rent. Lifeguards on watch. The water is not too steep.
CJ — Google review
Levante beach was simply beautiful. It is well maintained, clean and safe. Sunbeds can be rented for only 6 euro for the day. Excellent place to relax.
Vin C — Google review
Lovely beach but very busy. Chairs and umbrellas €6 each, you just sit down and someone comes round to pay. Close to shops you have people walking up and down selling cocktails and offering massages. A place with taps to wash the sand off your feet. A warning women do walk around and lounge top less if this offends anyone.
Mel — Google review
A great beach. However, it is rather populated with many tourists and locals making it rather busy. You can hire a sun-bed at only €12 overlooking the Mediterranean, turquoise, yet quite transparent sea. 🌊
Awardedcat Y — Google review
I visited Platja de Llevant in Benidorm at the end of December, and the weather was surprisingly warm, not hot enough for a swim, but perfect to enjoy the sun and a long walk by the sea. The sky was clear, the water shimmered in deep blue tones, and the whole promenade was lively even in winter. Historically, Platja de Llevant has been one of the main symbols of Benidorm’s transformation. In the 1950s, this small fishing village began turning into one of Europe’s most famous seaside resorts, and this beach became the heart of that change, lined with hotels, cafés, and palm trees that still define the skyline today.
Patrizia P — Google review
The beach is absolutely stunning, with its picturesque scenery that instantly captivates anyone who visits. The golden sand is soft and inviting, creating a perfect contrast against the deep blue sky. The ocean itself is crystal clear, reflecting the sunlight in shimmering patterns that dance across the water. The waves are gentle and soothing, making the beach a tranquil spot to relax and enjoy nature’s beauty. One of the highlights of this beach is the remarkably clean water. It’s so clear that you can see the seabed even from the shore, with fish occasionally visible as they swim by. The cleanliness of the water makes it perfect for swimming, wading, or just floating on the surface, letting the gentle waves carry you. In addition to the natural beauty, the beach offers convenient amenities like chair and sun umbrella rentals. This allows you to fully enjoy your time there without having to bring your own gear. You can easily rent a comfortable chair and a large umbrella to provide shade, making your day at the beach even more relaxing. Overall, the combination of breathtaking beauty and thoughtful conveniences makes this beach a perfect getaway.
Daniel E — Google review
Great Beach Fantastic beach very famous worldwide, the view on the buildings is incredible. Not the beach has all the expected amenities & lots of shops, cafes & restaurants around. The water is also really nice and this is what made this beach so fabulous.

My Days in Benidorm 🥰 🌸❣️ It was August, and Benidorm welcomed us with 41-degree weather 🥵. What wonderful days we had at the beach, strolling through its streets, trying out restaurants, watching the sunrise, or walking at night while enjoying the nightlife. We’d wake up early to enjoy the sea and walk along the sand. Each day was unique and amazing! Creating human connections, observing and learning about their lifestyle and culture made the experience even more enriching.

Really interesting operation they've got going on here. There are 3/4 different companies offering exactly the same service (boats to visit Tabarca island) at the same price (they all start at 9 eur but can go down to 5 in some cases). The funny part is that the way they compete with each other is by having a bunch of women yelling at tourists to buy tickets at their stand and not the other, to the point where it became super awkward. It's really funny to just go and see that. Having said that, we chose Transtabarca and can't complain much, we had no issues. But I'm sure you won't go wrong if you choose any of the other companies. A photo of the island which by that way is beautiful.
Ricardo V — Google review
Don’t buy tickets here!! Bought our ticket at 09.45, they said the boat would leave at 10. Then they waited until the boat was getting full until 10.30. At least just say you are waiting until the boat is full, instead they lied and kept saying ‘we are leaving now’. Other boats were leaving on time, so make sure you dont buy your tickets at the first blue booth.
Eline P — Google review
Horrible! Come back from Tabarca to Santa Pola without any organization, first staff don’t care about the line, later they try to organize preference without any sense by screaming and pushing people. People who were waiting for one hour in the sun with kids or elderly because previous ship who came was super small got angry and start to fight. Police came, and staff only declared that foreigners were the one who fought. Disaster. We went to Tabarca with the quick ship and we were promised to be able to come back with the big ship with the sea view - a big lie - only small ships came twice in a row and people started to worry they won’t be able to come back…
Anna G — Google review
If there is one thing you do when you go to Santa Pola, you must go to Taberca island. For a very reasonable 10 euro, you get a return ticket for the boat trip to the island. You can buy from the kiosks boat side or online and the ticket can be used on the fast or regular boat as whatever you fancy. Drinks are reasonably priced and if you are lucky you may get to see some of the island sea life on approach to the island, on the lower glassbottom deck.

We had the best time travelling from Alicante to Tabarca with Transtabarca ! An amazing and very easy experience
Dimana R — Google review
Fairly cheap price for two way ticket (10 euro). Boat on the way to Tabarca is rather small but fast, quite and lovely experience. In about 15-20 minutes you'll get to the island. The way back is a bit more chaotic as everyone on the island will need to leave in the evening. The boat on the way back is much bigger (also slower, 30 minute-ish). But still, make sure you start queueing on time in high season as it can het very crowdy on the boarding docks.
Nicolai S — Google review
Lovely boat crossing to the Island. Crystal clear chilly waters. Extremely busy on the first beach. We found a lovely little shallow cove to snorkel in. Cute little town and plenty of places to eat. 3 hours and then boat back. Friendly staff.

Parc El Palmeral is a stunning recreational park located just outside the city center of Alicante. It offers a variety of activities for families and visitors, including boat rides on the lake, BMX track, walking trails, and beautiful palm trees. The park features numerous play areas for children, picnic spots with benches and tables, as well as lush green spaces to relax in.
A really beautiful park and definitely worth a visit if you’re in Alicante. It’s a great place to chill, go for a run in the morning, do some yoga, or get a workout in. If you love lush Mediterranean plants and a peaceful, quiet atmosphere, you’ll really enjoy it here. Highly recommended!

Very nice park with much vegetation and waerfalls. I took my 4 year old grandaughter, she loved it. For children there is nice play park features. There is a nice kiosk for refreshments and food with a great and cheap menu. I totally recommend this park for a half day visit. There is no entry fee and easy parking.

Tabarca Water Taxi, an exceptional boat tour agency, offers a delightful and exciting experience for those seeking a smooth or adventurous journey. For a more tranquil ride, they suggest opting for one of their larger ferries. On the other hand, if one craves the exhilarating sensation of waves hitting the boat, they highly recommend another option. This agency is perfect for first-time boaters who will cherish the thrills it provides.
Good experience. Very fast (less than 15 minutes) ride, reasonable price and right on schedule (both ways there and back). Friendly staff who speaks English.
Alexey Y — Google review
Not the drivers fault, but the sea was extremely rough, so rough that a young woman on board was injured from the impact of the boat hitting the waves. After she got hurt he did slow down which was a relief to us all. The experience was quite traumatic overall. In these conditions I think fair warning should have been given before boarding. I don’t think I would have taken the small boat if I had known as it was pretty sore being thrown about like that. The larger boats seemed to cope better with the adverse weather. The return journey was a lot better, and we managed to sit at the very back of the boat which was a softer ride.

At least for now it has been an awful experience. I’ve bought a ticket for a boat scheduled at 15:30 and is now 16:00 and still no sign of the boat. I am here alongside with other visitants and entire families with kids waiting with no feedback under a torrid sun. You try to contact them through WhatsApp or call and no one answers. Awful!!

I searched for the price the day before and it stated 9 euros. On the day itself there were no other boats available to Tabarca and back in November with 23 degrees so they raised the price at the harbour to 15 euros. Take it or leave it. Nice played, maybe even together with the other companies to have one company only available day by day. This way they play a filthy game with tourists.

The Museo de la Sal y Centro de Interpretación del Parque Natural Salinas de Santa Pola, located near the city, is a nature reserve with unique salt flats that form an important habitat for migratory birds. It covers 2,496 hectares and has been exploited for salt since the late 14th century. Visitors can learn about salt extraction from the sea and observe flamingos and other bird species in this picturesque setting.
Open park atmosphere, with easy well maintained trails. The flats are super interesting, and it offers a unique view into the coexistence of humans and habitation—through an examination of the role of salt. From Iberian to Roman to Spanish, salt and sea have been central to the Pueblo of Santa Pola; and this information center and park makes it easy to understand why.

Boat tour agency
Tabarkeras Santa Pola is a boat tour agency located in the town closest to Isla Tabarca, which is the smallest Spanish island inhabited all year round. With just a 9-kilometer distance between them, it serves as an ideal starting point for exploring this unique destination. The island's population of around 80 people swells during the summer months due to its popularity among visitors.
First time to Tabarca we made the mistake of booking the water taxi, which was fast but too bumpy and a couple of our guests were ill. For the return trip we changed to the Big Orange Cat, the crew were great and very helpful, and the trip back fab for all. This time we booked the Big Orange both ways for a great trip. We’ll be sure to use them every time 😄😎

Great place to spend the day with the whole family. Taking the ferry from Santa Pola is easy, with lots of different options and the timetables are good. They go all day. Takes about 20 min. Tickets are return tickets. The island is cute, you can take a walk around the historical island, find lots of cafes and restaurants, shops too but they that are with really high tourist pricing. But easy to take your own snacks, and enjoy coffee, ice cream etc. Lors of spots for snorkelling. You can really see alot of fish, reefs, other sealife. We met a big octopus greatest snorkelling find ever. You should really have good snorkelling gear, and protective gear, remember to take your water shoes because the rocks are very sharp. Renember to take care of your own waste, keep the place clean. Apparently the evenings ard really nice there and you can spend the night at the accommodations. Fun day. Remember to keep hydrated, sun covered and enjoy.

A nice trip over to the island. It takes 25 minutes from Santa Pola Dock. We paid €8 each, as we paid the day before. It is normally 10€. The island is small. One side is natural, with a couple of historical buildings and rugged coastlines. The other consists of restaurants and traditional houses. It was a little expensive. It was worth a quick trip. We left after 2 hours, and the boat back was 45 minutes late back to the island.

Sweet children run around the square and there are plenty of places to have a drink. For example, the caprice (for montaditos or a good squid sandwich); the beach restaurant for a good fish rice for €15-20 or the red ink which is a mix of both but a little more expensive and better. On the other hand, it should be noted that it is a pedestrian area. There are no cars so you can let the kids go and not worry about them getting hit by cars.

31Pasarela Cabo Santa Pola

4.5
(242)
Pasarela Cabo Santa Pola is a 100m metal skywalk suspended on the cliff, offering breathtaking views of the coastline. It's not for the faint-hearted, as it hangs 450 feet above ground. Accessible by car or trekking trails, this spot provides magnificent views over the Mediterranean Sea and features gun emplacements. The panoramic bridge near Santa Pola lighthouse offers stunning coastal views and is a great place for sightseeing without being too crowded.
Spectacular views, just a short walk from parking area.

The panoramic bridge close to the Santa Pola light house has wonderful views of the coastline, but it’s not a thrilling high-adrenaline trip that some pictures tries to portray.
Mårten H — Google review
Great view of Santa Pola, ok for photos. A bit windy.
Maria G — Google review
The views when you get there are absolutely stunning!! The skywalk is small but it’s a nice spot to go and enjoy a peaceful sit down and take in the views! The road access from the N332 is awful however, single potted tarmac road with the last quarter mile proper tarmac so don’t take a low slung car down it! Better and lesser known access from Gran Alacant lighthouse end.

Gorgeous look out spot on the ocean, and it's not too crowded! Great for sight seeing and close to downtown for a bite or drink after ♥️
Kasondra A — Google review
This is a brilliant place that really could be better packaged as a tourist destination. The actual walkway doesn’t jut out over the cliff as much as it appears to from the coastal road down below, but it’s still a wonderful place and gives fantastic views out over the coastline. There are gun emplacements up there as well. Fantastic!!!

You can drive there or take the trecking trails. It have magnificent views over the Mediterranean sea but if you are taken the tracking trails wear a had there is no cover from the hot days sun and make sure you have a bottle of water with you.
Pat W — Google review
Simply astonishing view from there. It's an old atoll which is quite surrealistic when you stand up there on it. The road out to the Faro can be a little difficult to spot as the sign is only visible from one direction on the main road.

Dante really saved the day after we had a late cancellation. Fantastic afternoons fishing with his son Frederico as skipper. Caught some very nice and large Gold fin and Baracuda. Excellent and friendly service and couldn't recommend enough 👌 👏 👍 🙌

Great fishing with Alex. We booked the 5hr afternoon trip and did trolling for little tunas, jigging for mahi mahis and bottom fishing for squids, all successfully. Also, the guys were super uncomplicated and quick with the booking process. Would definitely go again.

Caught nothing. That's how fishing goes I guess, not a guarantee. Looks like October and November are best to fish here, wish they would have said that. Very expensive boat ride. Did see dolphins.

Although it was the most important celebration of San Juan a national holiday we where able book with Dante to go blue fin tuna fishing. Unfortunately the engine decided to take the day of before it started. After relentless checks it still refused to start. Being a charter boat owner my self I know what kind of frustration this is for them not just having to deal with the issue but also to turn down guests that where hoping to fish. The stars did not line up this time but I am convinced we would have caught a big blue fin if we had a running boat with this crew. Professional set up and crew mentality even if the boat would have started we might have not gone out just for safety reasons .

This was the first guided tour I had and it was extremely fun. A very nice and helpful crew who really do everything for your fishing experience. I would and will do it again on my next trip to Spain. I can absolutely recommend Dante and the whole team. They are full-blooded anglers and you can see that even professionals still enjoy fishing.
Jonas K — Google review
You get a great day out with Dante and the crew, great people very friendly and helpful. Super communications, instructions, a very nice lunch with plenty of drinks and great efforts made to catch fish using all techniques. We caught plenty of fish, 7 different species, lots of small tuna which alas we are not allowed to keep, so they go back. But still great fun and a couple of lovely fresh fish meals resulted! We’ll be back for the big ones next time Dante! Thank you so much👍
