SEA LIFE Hunstanton offers a range of interactive zones where visitors can get up close to various sea creatures and learn about their habitats. From the Penguin Beach enclosure to the Tropical Reef exhibit, there are opportunities to see Humboldt penguins, colorful fishes, and playful otters. The center also features a large ocean tunnel with sharks, rays, and fishes, as well as an outdoor seal enclosure with underwater viewing.
Visited on the 10/03/25, fantastic place for all ages. We booked ahead as its much cheaper than paying on the day. On arrival we were greeted with very friendly staff who explained everything we needed to know. The venue itself isn't huge but they certainly made use of the space. We walked around it for roughly an hour. Great family day out. Bonus points as they have a Costa coffee on site as well.
David J — Google review
Wonderful place, great friendly staff and a diverse animals. We spent ages in each section, especially in the Otter tunnels after Matt’s lighthearted and educational Otter talk. We’ll be coming back every year, as its not too busy early-on compared to others, so it’s really nice to have more room to move about.
Nathan W — Google review
We travelled up from Essex as my son's favourite animal are seals and we'd heard about the seal rescue programme carried out here. When we arrived it was easy to find a parking space but the car park was used for other attractions and wasn't the cleanest or best maintained. Tickets can be expensive but if you book online and days in advance you can save enough for a Costa Coffee on the way out. The site isn't a big as other we've seen, doesn't have as many attractions, and isn't as interactive or educational but it had seals and they were cute!
Mark G — Google review
this is a lovely place in Hunstanton, worth the lengthy drive from Suffolk. Staff is very friendly, engaging and kind, especially the girls in the "touch our friends, the starfishes" corner :) . Place did never get boring for neither our two or four year old. If anything we left under tears because it was so good. Bring your own lunch, there are no healthy choices for kids in the cafe or anywhere nearby. Opposite Sealife you can book an amphibious HGV ride to see wild seal colonies off shore, so you can make it an awesome marine day for the entire family.
Andrei T — Google review
2nd visit here,it's one of the best seaside centres I've visited, you can buy packets of food to feed the Pacu on arrival, the tanks are larger than most, they have a freshwater one with carp barbel perch etc,the highlight is the walk through tunnel under one massive tank leading to an amazing observation area where you can watch a giant sea turtle 🐢 sharks 🦈 and a whole host of other marine life, a guide gave a talk as the fish were being fed so there was an opportunity for youngsters to ask questions, they have a well stocked gift shop and a very nice cafe too, a lovely visit 😀
Ruth P — Google review
Wonderful trip to the sea life centre, managed to catch the seals being fed and very easy to get my elderly mother around with ramps and small steps. We loved chilling at the end of the tunnel and just watching the sharks and turtle swimming around.
David C — Google review
A great variety of aquatic species, from Pacus, catfish, sharks, axolotl, and turtles, to penguins, seals, and otters, and everything in between. A little gift shop, a cafè, and positioned right on the seafront. Staff are friendly, polite, and knowledgeable. No onside parking but there is a ticketed carpark literally 2 minutes walk away.
Helena M — Google review
When we paid we thought - ok, of course it is expensive, the only entertainment for miles around .. But it's absolutely worth it! Couldn't even imagine it is so big, and the variety of species, and how close you can get to them. Wonderful!

Beach
Outdoor Activities
Old Hunstanton Beach, located in Norfolk, is a long stretch of coastline featuring both cliffs and dunes. At low tide, the beach offers an immense expanse of sand. With its west-facing shores, it's one of the few places in Norfolk where visitors can witness stunning sunsets over the horizon. The beach is characterized by rugged shingle and boulders on its western end and wide stretches of golden sand towards the east.
Spent many a happy hour walking down the beach with the dogs over the years. Best experienced when the tide is not in as there's lots of space then. It's especially lovely first thing in the morning when the sun is rising and no one else is around. It can get a bit busy near the beach entrance near the cafe and lifeboat station. But walk 5 minutes and you'll have plenty of space. You can also do some lovely beach walks on the sand to Holme.
Nicholas J — Google review
Nice and quiet beach. Dog friendly. Stretches quite far so there’s plenty of space. When tide out it’s quite far to get to the water and the beach can be a quite rocky or with seashells. Quite few jellyfish and dead crabs. There’s a public toilet (nice and fairly clean) and 24h car park we paid £10 for a whole day. Next to car park there’s a cafe shop. But if you walk further on the beach to the right, there’s really nice pub we were there in Friday so had live music, waffle van, fresh bake pizza place/van, really nice.
Paulina P — Google review
One of the easiest beaches to access. Quite a gentle slope to the beach compared with other beaches. Once you’re on the beach, turn right and you’ll soon be in almost total isolation. Huge open spaces. Check the tide times, it does make a difference. Lovely for dogs. Very clean and litter free. Big car park with amenities. Nice cafe.
Sean — Google review
Old Hunstanton Beach is a peaceful and beautiful spot with soft sand, sand dunes, and stunning cliffs. Perfect for quiet walks, watching the sunset, or exploring during low tide. Dog friendly and rarely crowded. A lovely place to relax and enjoy nature by the sea.
Jukejmen U — Google review
The dog loved it. Check the tide times or the sea will be miles away and the beach will be covered in broken shells to get to it which are impossible to walk on without any shoes.
Deborah B — Google review
A very pleasant place! The sea tide is quite small, so you can enjoy the water all day long. There’s a beautiful cliff and a lovely coastline with plenty of attractions around. Free parking is available, and the prices are reasonable. The sunset view is stunning. The beach has copper-colored sand mixed with stones, so I recommend wearing beach shoes.
Marta S — Google review
Amazing cliffs, brilliant rock formations and rock pools, there's even a shipwreck! A dog friendly magical place 😊
Matt P — Google review
Lovely sandy beach, easy access from carpark, tide was in when we got there, interesting to see how fast the tide goes out

Rainbow Park-Hunstanton fairground is a charming, family-owned amusement park located right by the coast. It offers a mix of traditional and modern rides, as well as two game arcades. The entry to the park is free, and visitors pay for individual rides at affordable prices. Additionally, there are donkey rides available on the beachfront along with other attractions like crazy golf and ice cream stands.
My family and I love going to Hunstanton. It is our nearest coastal area. The staff are always chatty and happy to help within the fairground. Rocky Thomsons sweets are 1 of our favourites. The fairground always improves each year we go. Absolutely love it here.
Laura Y — Google review
Rainbow Fun Fair, located right on the seafront, is a wonderful destination for a day of fun and excitement. The variety of rides is impressive, offering a mix similar to what you would find at a traditional fair. Perfect for younger visitors, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Most rides costing just £2.50 or £3, it’s easy to have a full day of fun without worrying about the cost. A major highlight is the lack of queues. Even during peak times, you can expect minimal waiting, which means more time enjoying the rides and less time standing around. The staff at Rainbow Fun Fair are always polite and welcoming. The location is another big plus. Being right on the seafront, the fair offers beautiful views and a refreshing sea breeze. In summary, Rainbow Fun Fair is a fantastic spot for a fun, affordable, and hassle-free outing. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a great day out by the sea!
Chris S — Google review
I really enjoy riding the umbrellas, I don't know what the ride is called but they look like umbrellas. It's especially good as it gets dark and the rides are lit up. My family enjoy most of the other rides too, but I'm not so brave. Ha ha. We have been coming here since childhood. Fond memories. Look forward to more trips.
D — Google review
Nice little fun fair, good selection of rides, some prices were a little bit pricey. I wish the prices were around 2 pounds and we would have went on more rides. With 3 children you just can't ride alot when they are £3.50 each
Mary P — Google review
Soo much fun, lots of different activities for all ages...
Katie — Google review
place was amazing apart from the swings which were rusty, had some sort of black tape all over them and parts of the metal which looked broken off or something which was a bit scary for me and my mum while we were in the air, but overall the rides were amazing and the staff were awesome
Ryan — Google review
I have just spent a lovely weekend at Hunstanton. My daughter, SIL and the kids had been before and couldn’t wait to show me around. I was impressed with the funfair because, although small in size, it catered perfectly for my grandchildren. They loved the rides and also the arcades. One of the things they really liked were the push penny machines which enabled them to win little toys, not just money. I honestly cannot think of anything negative to say about the fair. I would definitely recommend it to others.
Jan's V — Google review
I think I'm a little bit past the fun first stage but the children had a really great time. Nice friendly atmosphere and everything seemed to be very well maintained on the rides.

The Princess Theatre in Hunstanton, formerly known as the Capital Cinema, is a historic building dating back to 1932. It boasts the world's largest gable wall made from Norfolk carrstone. The theatre offers a six-week summer season and hosts a variety of events throughout the year including plays, live bands, tribute acts, and special evenings with sports and television personalities. Visitors can easily book tickets for upcoming shows either in advance or on the day of the performance at the box office.
I along with my daughter and her partner we attended the Princess Theatre Hunstanton. With front row seats we were entertained by Jim Davison- The Next Chapter. Great experience, loved him and the show. I think the building was built in the early 1930’s and seats comfortably around 500 people. I’ve been to Hunstanton many times on the motorbike but haven’t attended the Theatre before. There was free parking next door after I think 6pm and it was just a short walk to the venue. On arrival we received a warm welcome from the staff and escorted to our comfortable seats. We loved the whole experience in this charming venue and I would highly recommend a visit.
Steven B — Google review
Amazing show last night. Freddie Mercury and Queen tribute band. Absolutely brilliant. Never been to the Princess Theatre before and found it well organised and comfortable seating.
Christine L — Google review
Saw Martin Fry 80s icon lead singer of ABC here last night. Sad to say being a local boy this was my first visit to the theatre...disgraceful? Yes! What a fabulous art deco theatre! It's a time warp of old school gold school. Great acoustics. ....!!! Fabulous friendly smartly dressed staff matched by a wallet friendly well stocked bar. This is a must visit place. If your a holiday maker or local check out the show listing's and pay a visit to keep part of Hunstantons heritage alive. They even use this as a cinema as well to help the theatre keep viable. I will be going back for sure.
Nigel B — Google review
It was first time to a theatre for a very long time,I came to see elvis show 17th of August 2025. Brilliant show totally enjoyed it,but the night got totally ruined bar a member of bar staff totally disgusting behaviour specially when serving my drink, manners what manners specially when you pay for something and only get nearly half for what you get, I mean by slamming my drink on to the bar were it spilled over, no apologises or nothing, the behaviour was totally disgusting, not only that after the show when I came back to the bar I got totally blanked.Due to this behaviour it has put me of ever going back there again, I booked 2 more tickets to a different show, due to the poor hospitality I will not be returning, and as for the tickets, well you can keep them, and I will also be advising my friends who go there on a regular basis, who have had similar issues with this member of staff not to go back and boycott the theatre, it was totally disgusting behaviour, surely a smile, or an apology would of bin nice,so who ever is the bar manager or supervisor should train his staff properly? So if who ever is in charge would like to message me back i would be happy to tell you the name of the individual.if my review could go any lower i would score it lower.
Paul T — Google review
A wonderful place to visit with lots to see and do. Plenty of history and a wonderful Chapel in the grounds. You will also see the Lady of the House wandering around greeting people. A fantastic day out.

I was visiting the area for 3 nights and there was a concert on at this wonderful theatre - lots of spare tickets and saw LogicalTramp - cost £30 - comfortable seats and was able to buy my ticket on the door Bar next door if needed - plenty of restaurants nearby for pre-theatre drinks/meals

The whole show was really great, don't be put off thinking it's only a little theatre, we had the best time, haven't laughed so much in ages. The facility includes a tropical pool with slides and giant inflatables, as well as a separate learner pool and shallow area for younger guests. Additionally, there is a well-equipped fitness suite, table tennis, squash, bowls, and various sports facilities.
It was a brilliant experience. The life guard Henry was amazing he turned on the water slide when it was closed just for us as my daughter asked why it was closed and he said he would turn it on and made my daughter so happy and he said as long as your happy I'm happy. The day out was made extra special due to one person thank you Henry. Facility clean and tidy and a decent price too. I would highly recommend this place.
Craig S — Google review
Went to the pool and was immediately met with a waft of unpleasantly cold air. The pool was disheartening and made me loose my will to swim. I got stuck in the slide as it is not very steep, and I had to walk down it which was very embarrassing. The floor was disgusting and had remnants of unknown substances. Overall this was an experience best described as cold and disappointing.
Johnson M — Google review
I went to alive oasis yesterday and it is by far the dirtiest pool I have ever been to in my life the floor was disgusting I hated walking around in bare feet. There was bugs in the changing cubicles, bugs in the pool, bugs absolutely everywhere. The pool was freezing and being filled up with a cold hose and the slide was horrendous. The building is in desperate need of cleaning as a lifeguard my self I know how to keep a centre clean and it seems like they are giving no effort at all to clean it.
Fionn M — Google review
Good pool for the kids but slightly cold to begin with. Lockers are really small with non refundable 20p. Noticed some larger lockers near the exit.
Andrew — Google review
The Alive West Norfolk team were really helpful on email. 20p for the lockers (I forgot to take something out, and would have had to pay another 20p). Small but warm toddler section which we had all to ourselves as everyone was crowded in the main pool to the side. We had a great time.m and the staff were lovely.
Nathan W — Google review
The pool is great for the price even though they do need to update the lockers. The soft play is good but dirty, the tables are not cleaned when clear neither are the floors and the soft play itself looks like it could do with a wipe down. So overall it needs cleaning.
Diane W — Google review
Called in after visiting the sealife centre to grab a bite to eat as looked ok from the sea front. Wish we hadn't. The staff were very disorganised and didn't seem to know what they were doing. Ordered coffees, a burger, 2 toasties and a jacket potato. Coffees were tepid at best. Took over 40 minutes to arrive, and when it did the burger was inedible (bun still frozen!) and the toasties were soggy and very unpleasant. They had also run out of salad so was missing from the burger and jacket potato. Watched others sending back burnt pizza and overcooked chips after waiting an awfully long time for it to arrive. For what is a fairly simple and straightforward menu they made it hard work. Definitely avoid there are much nicer places to eat, we won't be back.
Jade B — Google review
It's not a place I'd rush back to again tbh. It's very pricey for what's there (which isn't a great deal). Kids enjoyed the pool once they were in, but it's quite tired and dated. Bit grimy looking. Family fun session was a few floats. Just a bit disappointing compared to other places we've been to.

The Heritage Centre in Hunstanton offers a captivating insight into the history of the First World War. Situated in a charming location, it provides an intriguing opportunity to explore and discover the town's rich heritage. The museum features a video room showcasing informative films related to the war, accompanied by an impressive building that was once a bank. It is a delightful destination for those interested in learning about the past and is known for its welcoming atmosphere.
We have just visited this wonderful centre, it brought back memories of many childhood visits and holidays in this lovely pace. Thank you for those memories and for those who have given their time to collate and run it.

We visited this museum today, they had a little quiz for children to complete, although I must admit it was also fun to help complete. We were in there about 40 minutes and lost if snippets of things to learn. The people running the museum really made it, joining in helping us find clues which really spurred little one on to continue hunting. We even had a little lesson on fossils which again sparked interest in going fossil hunting one day. We really appreciated the interaction, thank you for making our day over easter.

Amusement center
The amusement center, known as Hunstanton pier family amusements, is the largest arcade in Hunstanton and is located on the outskirts of The Green. This popular attraction remains open for most of the year, providing entertainment for families and visitors alike.
Hunstanton Beach is easily one of my favorite spots on the Norfolk coast. It has a perfect blend of natural beauty, family-friendly attractions, and that charming seaside town feel. What really sets it apart are the incredible striped cliffs—nowhere else in the UK have I seen anything quite like them. They’re stunning, especially at sunset when the light hits them just right. The beach itself is wide and clean, with both sandy and pebbly areas. At low tide, the sea goes out quite far, revealing rock pools that are brilliant for kids to explore. It’s a great place for a family day out, a romantic walk, or even just some solo time by the sea. We brought a picnic and easily spent the whole day there without getting bored. There are also plenty of amenities nearby—clean toilets, cafés, fish and chip shops, and classic seaside amusements. If you’re into water sports, kite surfing and paddleboarding are quite popular here too. Parking was fairly easy, and everything is within walking distance from the main car park. Dog owners will be happy to know there are designated dog-friendly areas too. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or returning like we were, Hunstanton never disappoints. Beautiful views, fresh sea air, and that peaceful coastal vibe—what more could you ask for? Highly recommended!
Alan N — Google review
Still a great place to take the kids! We didn't have much luck with the prizes on the 2p machines this time around – the chances of winning felt much lower compared to previous visits. Despite that, we still really enjoy coming to the pier.

Amazing place to go if you like the latest in arcade games and obviously 2p machines. Also upstairs is a proper bowling alley reasonably priced. Can get ice cream and drinks as well. Staff are always helpful and cheery.

Hunstanton Beach – A Great Spot, But Plan Ahead for Food and Traffic Hunstanton Beach is a beautiful place to visit, especially on a sunny day. The beach is spacious, clean, and perfect for a relaxing family day out. If you’re planning to go on a weekend with good weather, make sure to start early — the roads can get very busy, and long traffic queues are common. Old Hunstanton Beach is especially peaceful and scenic, but please note that food options are very limited. There’s only one shop nearby, and the prices can be quite high. It’s a good idea to carry your own food and drinks to save money and avoid waiting. All in all, it’s a lovely beach with great views and plenty of space — just plan ahead for traffic and food, and you’ll have a wonderful time!
Appu H — Google review
Fun arcade with machines for all ages and budgets. Only downside don't expect to win much out of the 2p machines but there is the bonus of tokens to collect although I don't know how many hundreds you need for a something decent.

Really fun and child friendly course, the owner let us bring the dog on too and provided water for him Owner really friendly and helpful and we won a free game at the end! Would definitely recommend

Great fun - two courses for the price of one! Blackbeard's Pirate 9 holes and then the Aztecs 9 holes (there's also a bonus 19th hole to win a free game) with wildlife accompanying you around as you play. Jaws even makes an appearance! Each hole has an information board with interesting facts about pirates and the Aztecs. We had a great time and were very welcomed even though we were right at the end of opening time. Many thanks for an entertaining game of golf!
Keely — Google review
Great fun mini golf course. Pirate theme was well executed and absolutely the right choice for a seaside setting. Holes were small and due to the number of visitors on the day we went, it felt a bit squashed! All of our party enjoyed their round and the price wasn't bad either.
Natalie B — Google review
2 9 hole courses to make 18 holes. Both really well themed, and very well maintained for a 30 year old course. Owner was also very welcoming, and very friendly! Will be back again😊
Demi-Paige W — Google review
Excellent crazy golf. Well run and maintained, not too expensive for a family of 4, and kept the kids well entertained. It's also dog friendly which is always a bonus. Yes, there were quite a few people in there so had to wait a few times, but it's the kids holidays, so to be expected, and if anything stops you rushing around and not appreciating it properly. Get to do both 9 hope courses for the £19 family price, plus the chance to win a free game at the end.
Chris N — Google review
Fantastic mini-golf. I love that you can choose whether to do the Aztec holes or the Pirate holes first as it helps to spread people out. The decorations are beautiful and the green carpet is well maintained and clean. I also liked the history facts dotted around the course that you could read while you waited for a hole to free up. Very immersive. £8 per adult at the time of my visit.
Hannah C — Google review
Loved a bit of crazy golf, its what a good beach location should have, it was well kept. Well worth a visit 🥰

Great crazy golf course. You get to go around 2 courses both great fun. Very clean and lots of fun facts to read along the way. The guy working there was really lovely and friendly and we had a good laugh with him. Worth the money for kids and adults!

Beach
Hunstanton South Beach, also known as New Hunstanton Beach, is a vibrant destination perfect for families seeking fun and adventure. This bustling beach features a shingle shoreline and offers an array of attractions such as amusement arcades and fairground rides that keep visitors entertained. Kids will love exploring the shore for fossils and discovering sea creatures in the rock pools throughout the year. However, it's important to note that during summer months, dogs are restricted from certain areas of the beach.
Had some lovely walks along the beach with my dog. Just a reminder that dogs must be on a leash April on. Also lots of people stopped me to warn me of polluted plastic shark egg looking things on the beach. Obviously a community that cares!
P_Addler — Google review
Beautiful stretch of coastline Lots of stuff to do and places to walk the dogs. Lovely sunsets in the evenings too Fish and chips at Henry's is also a must, freshly cooked and yummy 😋
Martina L — Google review
Lovely beach! Nice to walk along, but of course it is a very popular tourist destination, so it can be rather crowded and not the cleanest of places. But when it's quieter, its a very peaceful place! Beautiful views of the sea though, so it's definitely worth a visit if you live in the Midlands. Certainly compares better than Skegness, for sure!
Olivia A — Google review
Nice beach. Bit stoney to start with but gives way to sand. Tides goes out far. Beach never feels crowded. Shops a bit pricey but to be expected.
DeepPanDan — Google review
Beautiful coastline and it's a pebble beach with groynes and it's absolutely stunning at low tide as sea goes miles out the funfair and Sealife are right on the prom and visited today and walked along the beach lots of scenery of the cliffs and coastline and also had a nice long paddle in the sea twice there was alot of jellyfish about too but I definitely recommended visiting in the summer
Hank E — Google review
This is a good beach, particularly if you have a dog. The main Hunstanton beach has restrictions on dogs in the summer but from the ramp near Searles holiday park, dogs are allowed. There is a large car park close by and a decent cafe right next to the beach too.
Brian H — Google review
A nice beach for walking the dog, we use it regularly when we stay in nearby snettisham. The beach is nicer (more sand) and is close to stuff for the kids to enjoy
Stephen C — Google review
It's a beach, so automatically gets 3 stars and an extra one for having interesting things on and near it. It's also cool being able to see Lincolnshire when the weather is nice

Hunstanton Cliffs, characterized by a band of red and white chalk on an orange-brown sandstone base known as carrstone, are a captivating natural attraction. The cliffs offer impressive and picturesque scenery, complemented by a lovely beach and rock pools. When the tide recedes, one can explore the expansive sand flats teeming with sea birds. Additionally, the area is home to numerous fossils.
So enjoy the time here! It’s great place to take child to go in summer with nice weather! We are so lucky this time to go with nice sunshine! Here is beautiful beach and have nice cafe around with nice food! Children playground just on the cafe with sea view. Nice! Nice!

Beautiful cliffs, lots of fallen rocks close by with hundreds of thousands of seashells , easy to get too , fairly flat no need to walk on the rocks unless you like exploring.

Incredible coastal views with unique red and white cliffs full of history and fossils. Great for walks, photography, and exploring during low tide. The colors look amazing in sunlight. A beautiful and peaceful place on the Norfolk coast with so much to see and enjoy.
Jukejmen U — Google review
Amazing 2 colour chalk cliffs and strange ground formation. I've never been before and wanted to check out for future fossil hunts. Hunstanton is a really pretty little resort with the usual arcades , but also some quaint shops as you venture from the seafront. We are already planning our next visit.
Diane K — Google review
Stunning views, lots of shells on beach, a must see!
Zoe W — Google review
Lovely day out looking for fossils which were very thin on the ground. A huge car park and public toilets. Lots to see here, the red and white cliff and when the tide is out lots of sea birds and sand flats to walk around on.
Wendy K — Google review
The best access is from Hunstanton Cliffs car park. I was there on the 8th of September on a hot day, but it was foggy! Fortunately, the fog wasn't too intense, and I managed to see everything close by. The cliffs are running along a long stretch of the beach and offer many different beautiful views, as can be seen in my photos. The ship wreck is visible, although not much of it is left! The beach itself is beautiful too. Many people with their peaceful dogs walk along the beach. There are no buildings or toilets on the beach. There are clean toilets in the Hunstanton Cliffs car park along with a lovely cafe and beach shop.

The owners are very friendly and go out of their way to help you out. The selection of products is substantial and with the added advantage of a postal service it means that although we went in at the end of our holiday we still have stuff. There is also plenty of entertainment for very small people (17 months old)

From May to September, they provide various coastal tours and offer an hour-long opportunity to observe the largest colony of common seals in the UK and possibly even the world. The seal tour is highly recommended after experiencing their enjoyable coastal excursion. The company warmly welcomes all visitors including dogs and babies, ensuring that everyone is comfortably accommodated without feeling crowded.
Excellent boat trip along the Norfolk coast. Super friendly staff. Captain's hats also provided free of charge. Would definitely recommend! Also, we tried to go on this boat a few years ago with our then toddler, who got really upset before we set off and we had to get off the boat. We asked if we could gift our tickets to another family, but instead they were refunded in full. We didn't expect this, but it was much appreciated.
Louise V — Google review
Very friendly staff and an enjoyable trip along the shoreline. The Sea Monster makes accessing it a breeze, suitable for buggy’s, prams and wheelchairs. There is plenty of room behind the seats to store a pram. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and they’ll happily take family photos for you, they even have Sea Captain hats!! We will definitely use them again, probably to see the seals next time. The only thing which I could knock, the binoculars they provide have seen better days, our pair was very hazy and a bit battered.
Richard A — Google review
The staff were brilliant and really friendly. Top people, we were lucky to see some seals but not always. Just remember even if you don't it's still worth it. The boat has 6ft wheels and the staff are full of information. Highly recommended.

Fish & chips restaurant
Sally's Fish 'n' Chips is a casual eatery in Hunstanton, Norfolk that serves up a variety of fast food options like burgers, fish cakes, and meat pies. Despite its unassuming appearance, it has garnered positive reviews for its friendly service and delicious fish and chips. It's considered one of the best places to enjoy this classic dish in the area.
Sally's Fish 'n' Chips is an absolute gem. The freshness of the ingredients is evident in every bite. Crisp, golden batter encasing tender, flaky fish that tastes delicious. The chips were perfectly cooked, with a satisfying crunch on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The quality is top-notch, from the generous portions to the care taken in preparation. As the fish is cooked to order, expect a wait but it's worth it! The 5/5 food hygiene rating is also a huge bonus. On top of that, I think it's value for money making it a fantastic choice for a delicious, satisfying meal. If you're after great fish and chips in Hunstanton, Sally's is the place to go!

Visited last night. Small queue. Service was friendly. We were going to eat on the benches outside but lots of seagulls circling so decided to eat in. Tables nice and clean. Food was superb. Probably the best haddock I have ever tasted. So firm and tasty with crisp batter. Loads of chips. Will definitely return. Was a bit on the pricy side but worth it for good food.
Fiona B — Google review
Terrific chippy. Really great batter and tastes awesome. A bit of indoor seating but more a place to eat out by the parking lot. Very competitively priced too for the portion size. Would go again!
Jinwoo L — Google review
Very nice fresh fish and chips , I had haddock chips and curry sauce . Everything was fresh and hot . I dont believe it was actually haddock but it still tasted great. The premises is clean and has a few tables for eating in. The only bad thing was the service was extremely slow. I stood at the counter for 10 mins waiting to be served . The 2 girls working seemed more interested in cleaning then serving me. I had to actually ask if I can make my order now after waiting patiently.
Robert P — Google review
On the good side, fish was very nice once past loads of batter! Mushy peas & chips above average. The downside, sitting inside is in a very plain room with no table service. Just given a wooden folk, no knife hence hard to cut food. Overall a poor sitting in experience, but if you like batter & take away its okay. Not for us, won't go back.

It is located near the picturesque Norfolk coastline with access to golden beaches and charming fishing villages. We camped at Searles on a 3 night stay. We had a lovely pitch. Site was so clean. Toilets always clean whatever time we visited. Shop staff friendly with amazing selection. Good entertainment with friendly bar staff. Pool was cold and a bit murky. Great location to beach. Will be back later in year.
Fiona B — Google review
We have just returned from a great time at searles. We were in touring field, the toilet facilities were great and clean. The entertainment was excellent, especially for younger children. Food and drink prices are what you expect on a campsite, food was lovely. Swimming pools were a big hit with everyone, only small moan is 20p for lockers and some of them didn't work, overall a brilliant time, already booked for next year.
Carl M — Google review
Great location next to the beach, arcades and the outdoor fun fair. The caravan is basic, outdated, not overly comfortable beds and the internet didn't work. We weren't able to purchase a voucher until the last day. The outdoor pools were closed even though it was Easter and sunny. The indoor pool perhaps suitable for younger children. Not too many activities to do so we stayed off site. No baking trays to cook with so bear this in mind if you want to cook, freezer food bought and wasted. Our fridge/freezer wasn't clean and smelt bad but the staff were helpful and came to clean it for us. Ambers restaurant is self serve but far from the bar, could do with a QR code, quite pricey for what it is. Wouldn't recommend for teenagers but could be a decent stay with younger children. WiFi quality very poor so don't expect to use it. Staff were really nice.
Gemma T — Google review
Great location for Hunstanton, the facilities where clean given how busy the site was over the bank holiday weekend. Pools are heated and warm, the entertainment was ok but stopping for Bingo is always an odd thing before the kids get too tired. We had a big open pitch but some of the site looked quite tight. Would go again. Seagulls and ducks will raid your stuff if you leave it outside! 🤣
Chris W — Google review
Great site and facilities, really enjoyed our stay the only down side is that if your not prepared to queue for an hour before the evening entertainment opens then you are unlikely to get a table. Touring pitches were very clean, tidy and well maintained with toilet facilities and showers close by wherever you are. We stayed for three nights and only got a table once and had to sit on the floor the other nights with a 4 month old baby. Unless they improve the evening entertainment seating arrangements or queueing we are unlikely to stay again as it plays a big part in the children's enjoyment of the holiday.
Mark S — Google review
This was our second visit to SEARLES where we camped as a family of four with young kids. The pitches are tidy but squeezed in- however you don’t feel hemmed in. The shower:toilet facilities are good but on this trip we felt cleanliness was not as good as before. The pools are wonderful (albeit again, not the cleanest and a bit murky) the general facilities at the park are perfect for a wholesome family get away. The entertainment team and staff are really lovely and helpful. Cash required for fish and chips which were lovely! It’s all a bit dated in the lounge area but it just works and I think is part of its charm! Easy access to beach and beautiful sunset walks. We loved our visit.
Michelle L — Google review
Such a good place, I’m really picky about lots of things and couldnt find one problem with it, lovely area. It has tennis courts a football pitch 3 pools golf restraints buffet breakfast, and my family loved it so much we’re going back this year which will be our third year! I highly recommend trying this place. Also, if you like music you’re in for a treat because every night, there is entertainment including bingo house party and singing performed by Adam Browne and his crew. Please try this, you will love it.
Jack R — Google review
One of the main reasons we purchased a caravan on site was the entertainment in the evenings and Adam and his team. But, the swimming pools, golf course, closeness to the sea make it an absolute no brainer. Too many plus points to list.

Boston Square Sensory Park, located in Hunstanton, has been transformed from a brownfield site into a vibrant and stimulating garden designed to engage all the senses. The carefully selected plants offer visual, tactile, aromatic, and auditory experiences. Water features contribute to the tranquil atmosphere while a perennial meadow immerses visitors in wildflowers and grasses. Accessible to all abilities, this park provides a peaceful retreat from the bustling town center.
Boston Square Sensory Garden: Great place to come if wheelchair bound, partially sighted or just appreciating what a sensory park is about. Met someone in a wheel chair who particularly liked the various rooms at the beginning of the garden. Plants were grown on tables at wheelchair height. Very easy to reach, smell and touch. There is a water feature. Various small openings with bug 'hotels' to encourage wildlife. Easily accessed. There is a larger area with various height stones and a large pebbled type circle with small water ball in the middle. Lots of shrubs and trees. Plants and grasses which gave an overall wilding appearance. This place is found on the opposite of the road and there is parking in the square which is easily accessed. The idea of the garden is good. Could do with more explanation of its theme. Maybe more colour and large symbols could be used.
Ann P — Google review
Hidden away on the opposite side of the road from the sea and rather neglected, but a lovely garden which was obviously created with lots of care and imagination in 2000. The hedges are now mature, but the beds could do weeding and some replanting. It feels forgotten about, which is sad - it doesn't deserve to be.

Nestled in the charming coastal town of Old Hunstanton, the RNLI Hunstanton Lifeboat Station is a must-visit for anyone exploring this picturesque area. To reach it, simply cross the A149 from The Lodge and stroll down Sea Lane, passing between the lifeboat station and a delightful café.
I am a volunteer for the fundraising Guild representing Hunstanton RNLI. As such, I often pop down to the Lifeboat Station. We have one of the only 4 Hovercraft in the country as well as an Atlantic 85 Lifeboat. Every member is a volunteer 🙏 Crew (both lifeboat and shore) Shop Education Fundraisers. The crew generally train on a Sunday morning and the likelihood is that you will see the Lifeboat and Hovercraft in action as well as our HUGE tractor which is needed to take the boat down to the water...wherever the tide might be. Whilst this happens most Sundays, it is not guaranteed however the Old Town Beach Cafe is adjacent the Station, which is a great stop off and observation for the activity and people at the Lifeboat Station. Old Hunstanton also has a fabulous beach. Hunstanton RNLI would love to see you. Our shop is currently open weekends. In season, 7 days a week. Follow the Hunstanton RNLI Facebook page for updates and information on activity. RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. Volunteers on call 24/7

The volunteers here always have time to talk to you (unless they are carrying out their drills). You'll often see their vehicles out the front of the station or being taken out to see. Of course, when you're here you can visit the beach too and there's a lovely cafe next door. The toilet facilities are a little iffy but otherwise this all adds up to a great day out

A boathouse with an Atlantic class inshore lifeboat, trailer and sea going tractor AND a hoverhouse with a hovercraft AND a shop. All with an enthusiastic band of volunteers to make you welcome and to answer any questions. Crew training takes place on Sunday mornings during the summer and you could see a launch and recovery of the boat or hovercraft. Well worth a visit to meet the RNLI, see & learn about the kit and learn how to survive in cold water.

Norfolk Lavender, located near the bustling seaside resort of Hunstanton in North Norfolk, spans around 100 acres of lavender fields and features an oil distillery. Established in 1932, this lavender farm offers on-site gift shops and a restaurant. While it may not seem like a kid-friendly destination at first glance, Norfolk Lavender also boasts an animal garden and play park for younger visitors to enjoy.
A lovely afternoon spent here. It’s still early for the lavenders to flower, but we enjoyed walking around. The farm shop has got a variety of stuff stocked; they even had frozen Yorkshire puddings which we got to go with our roast dinner. We had coffee/cake at the Mill Restaurant. It wasn’t so busy and got a table straight away. It’s dog friendly! The kids had a separate room to play and watch CBeebies. The shop had a lovely selection of lavender products.

Very amazing site!!! The sights and the smells of the lavender field was so relaxing. The cafe attached was also very good, a wide selection of sandwiches, for example o had the salmon and cheese bagel, VERY TASTY!! The shops are also great, a wide selection of products, lavender based or just other.

This is such a lovely place to visit which always rewards stopping by. There is a really good cafe/restaurant and gift shop as well as a well stocked farm shop on the site, which offers plenty to browse, along with a fine arts and furniture store. My highlight this time was discovering the garden. It’s such a peaceful place to sit, stroll and watch the wildlife. Recommended.

Drove from Norwich..Was really looking forward to the lavander farm. Was really disappointed..Nice farm shop..Tiny Lavander shop..with many products out of stock..lady in shop said been waiting uk supplier over a month. Brought ice cream tubs...no where to sit..Mill kitchen no where to sit due to tables not cleared... A real disappointed.

I drove 1,5 hours to get to Norfolk Lavender but I was very dissapointed. It was not possible to go to the fields because they lavender plants were already cuted. The company would have to mention on the homepage that the plants are already cuted and it is not possibe to visit the fields. I would have never driven so far just to see a few plants in the garden. When you are at the corner then it is ok. The garden with different Lavender was nice and also the Shop and cafe but not for a ride of 1,5 hours.

Love visiting Norfolk Lavender I actually bought 6 Lavender plants for my front garden. The gift shop is good and the restaurant is lovely to visit. They also have a pizza oven outside. Not sure if you can get GF pizza, very doubtful with stonebaking but the restaurant has a great selection of Gluten Free options. I recommend the Gluten Free Lavender Cake!

Stopped off for lunch. Nice selection of food and drinks. Walked around the gardens and let our toddler play on the inflatables. Family friendly atmosphere. Have a pizza pop up so will be going back for that

Sadly very disappointed in the change to the venue .We have been going to Norfolk lavender for over 20 years .It was so special because it had the beautiful big gift shop and the outside plant and gift shop ..We always bought xmas and birthday gifts here because they were unique..The venue is now taken all that away to make room for a pizza place and larger seating areas for its restaurant. The shop is very small with much less stock , sadly it took less than 5 mins to look around , the outdoor plant and gift shop is gone ...there are lavender plants .The charm and uniqueness is gone .Once a place were you could spend several hours ...now just basically an expensive eating venue !.Sadly we wont be back

Chives Brasserie is a local family-owned Mediterranean-style restaurant in Old Hunstanton, offering a diverse menu featuring pizza, pasta, classic British dishes, and afternoon tea. The bright and modern dining room provides an excellent setting for enjoying mouth-watering meals created by Head Chef Paul Bowman. The restaurant is dedicated to supporting local producers and suppliers of ingredients. Visitors can expect attentive staff and delicious gluten-free options in a welcoming atmosphere.
We moved to Heacham end of 2024 and been coming there for years and don't know why we hadn't been to Chives before. It was a friend birthday so we chose to go and we were not disappointed. Our booking was at 8pm on Saturday night we were early but no problem being seated at our table. A great and varied menu choice with some unusual but excellent combinations and ample servings. Everything was cooked and presented brilliantly the staff very attentive and friendly. The interior design is contemporary and immaculately clean. Will definitely return sooner rather than later and urgent note to self, to book valentines meal!

Only found Chives on the last day of our holiday after years of coming to Hunstanton. What a fantastic place! Our waiter, the ex hotelier with a beard made us so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We both had steak, a medium rare and a well done, Chef cooked them both to perfection. Can't recommend this place enough. We will be making a point of returning at the beginning of our holiday next time we come to Hunstanton. Well done guys👌🏻

Not what we were expecting in a seaside town. Exceptional food, well presented, perfect portions. Particularly pleased with the fish platter something I usually avoid because seafood & I don't get on. But this had a lovely mackerel pate & smoked salmon. Would recommend booking a table in advance.
Sharon A — Google review
We've just visited Chives for Sunday lunch whilst staying in Holme next the Sea. We were met by a pleasant young man who showed us to our table. The food was really well cooked and flavoursome, and the yorkshire puddings were really tasty, light and fluffy. We had deserts and coffee, all of which were of a good standard. The background music was an ideal volume, not like in some venues where you can't hear yourself speak. Service was good throughout and the two young women there were friendly and obliging. We hope to call again whilst we are here, and will definitely be recommending to friends and family to visit when they are in the area. Thanks once again for a lovely meal :)

Fortunate enough to get a table at Chives today. We enjoyed an excellent Sunday roast, beautifully presented and utterly delicious. Lots of extra touches, such as lovely napkins, cutlery shining clean and this added to an exceptional culinary experience. Added to this, staff were lovely … service with a smile, and they went out of their way to provide a gluten free Yorkshire pudding which was made by chef, and was delicious. I really wasn’t expecting that! I was very impressed with everything. I will be a regular at Chives!

One of the nicest restaurant I’ve been to. Service with a smile, pleasant staff. Food presented really well made fresh. it's was my first time I had lobster and it's was cooked to perfection lovely restaurant to go with your partner they make you feel welcome.

Lovely Restaurant Restaurant with good service. With the menu that suits everyone. Lovely presentation with good taste. Reasonable price for the coastline district. Glad that this restaurant provides free and efficient WiFi service to the customers. The staff are happy to tell us the password. As a reminder, the whole district has a very poor signal.
Pui L — Google review
Walked in looking for somewhere for dinner and we were greeted by a young man who was fantastic and helpful. We ordered drinks and sat outside for a short while until the restaurant opened at 5:30. We went in at 5:30 and already the room was filling up. The service was fantastic, the staff were fantastic and the food was fantastic. My husband had the fish and sweetcorn soup to start with, then the fish Thai curry. I had the rib eye steak. The food was outstanding, served hot on hot dishes. The staff were attentive without being overbearing. Would highly recommend and would visit again next time we come over to Hunstanton (it's a long way from Stockport!)

Snettisham Park, located in Norfolk, is a 329-acre working farm open to the public since 1986. The farm grows various crops and is home to a diverse range of animals including a 400-ewe flock, red deer, horses, and ponies. Visitors can enjoy activities such as witnessing lamb births, going on a deer safari, bottle feeding lambs, grooming ponies, handling smaller animals, feeding calves, collecting fresh eggs and riding ponies.
This place is great. I left with a huge smile on my face after going on the deer safari, it really is worth taking the time and visiting. The staff are helpful, the safari guide was very knowledgeable and being able to get so close to the deer and literally having them eating out of the palm of your hand was priceless
Paul W — Google review
Good family animal park. Really enjoyed the deer safari, tour guide was really knowledgeable. Could do with a few more small animals & activities for kids. Cute gift shop. Quite pricey for activities available, farm not very big. Staff really helpful.
Zoe W — Google review
We recently visited as a group of 4 adults and 2 toddlers and all had such a great day out! On arrival I thought it was a little small and quite expensive for what was there, but soon changed my mind. Although a relatively small actual farm area, we had access to all parts and there was something going on all day. We were able to join in with bottle feeding lambs, feeding goats and sheep, helping prepare milk for the calves and pony grooming. There is also a large play area which was enjoyed by both children, with small ride on tractors as well as a climbing area and slide. The highlight was the deer safari, going out on an open tractor/truck into the deer park. We were all given a bag of food to hand feed the deer which came right up to us poking their heads through. It was amazing to be able to get so close, feeding and stroking them. The owner of the farm and deer park gave so much information and made the experience even more enjoyable, giving us information about some of the individual deer. It’s clear all of the animals here are incredibly well looked after. Highly recommend a visit.

A life long dream fulfilled at 53, I got to bottle feed a lamb! Lovely little farm, helpful and interesting staff, and a great little café, really nice few hours spent in the sunshine.

This place is amazing…got to bottle feed lambs and the deer safari was amazing, got so close to the deer and also hand fed them. All the staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Plenty to do for nearly a whole day out

The staff are superb, whether it be the girls within the shop, riding staff, or tour guides; everyone really seems to enjoy their jobs. Lots of activities on site, which has lots of facilities, activities, and many animals. Probably best check their website for specific info. Recommended is the deer safari, excellent value for money, entailing, informative, and ultimately hand feeding beautiful animals.
Colin H — Google review
We visited last Monday 28th July. Fantastic experience, especially the Deer Safari, this made our trip and the woman doing the talking was absolutely amazing, so enthusiastic she made it really fun. However, the experience on the farm was the opposite. The main member of staff leading the tortoise walks and lamb feeding was awful. She wasn’t only miserable and rude she was also extremely heavy handed with all of the animals. She really took the enjoyment and nice feel away from the whole thing and acted like the customers were a nuisance. It was lovely how hands on it all was and our kids enjoyed it all, the deer safari is 100% worth doing, the farm could be great.
Faye — Google review
A wonderful place for children and adults. We went as 3 adults and a teenager and had a great afternoon! The whole experience of feeding the deer was fantastic. What beautiful creatures. We also fed the lambs and wandered around the farm. All the animals were friendly and came over for a stroke. The cafe served great food and coffee and it was good value. The staff were friendly and chatty and answered any questions about the farm and animals. My family 100% recommend a visit.

Hunstanton Pier is a delightful destination that perfectly captures the essence of a classic seaside getaway. Nestled along the stunning Norfolk coast, this charming spot boasts breathtaking striped cliffs that are truly unique to the UK, especially mesmerizing at sunset. The beach itself offers ample space for families to unwind, with both sandy and pebbly areas ideal for sunbathing or building sandcastles.

Amazing place to go if you like the latest in arcade games and obviously 2p machines. Also upstairs is a proper bowling alley reasonably priced. Can get ice cream and drinks as well. Staff are always helpful and cheery.
Philip L — Google review
Decent selection of arcade games and prize machines ranging from 2p to £1 a go. £40 kept four of us entertained for about an hour after lunch. Went away with at least one prize each and had a good laugh. Staff are friendly and approachable and didn’t mind taking time to help us out with various, and sometimes silly questions. Nice and close to the beach so handy to go for a nice stroll and an ice cream afterwards.
Alex — Google review
Fun arcade with machines for all ages and budgets. Only downside don't expect to win much out of the 2p machines but there is the bonus of tokens to collect although I don't know how many hundreds you need for a something decent.

Still a great place to take the kids! We didn't have much luck with the prizes on the 2p machines this time around – the chances of winning felt much lower compared to previous visits. Despite that, we still really enjoy coming to the pier.

I've been going here on and off for a while now and found it to be a great place, good atmosphere and I could spend 5+ hours here and have a good time, they provide food and refreshments and there's mini games played where you can win free machine credit. Recently though it seems that I'm not here as long and don't get much good play out of the machines. Only today I played k and was in and out within two hours. I don't think I'll be rushing back
