Fortress
Rocca di Manerba is a lakeside natural preserve with stunning views and a charming open-air museum showcasing its history. The fortress, once an important medieval stronghold, offers breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Garda and the surrounding hills. Visitors can explore ancient archaeological sites, churches adorned with frescoes, and learn about the area's rich cultural traditions at the Archaeological Museum. This renowned destination also boasts picturesque beaches, lush nature reserves, and opportunities to savor local wines and olive oils.
Pretty views. The hike up is pretty short. And there's a parking place and a restaurant nearby.
Michal D — Google review
You can drive pretty close to the tip of the mountain. Skip the café. It's steep and the last bit is not doable for people who have mobility issues. But the sights are gorgeous and well worth the hike. It's only a short bit and there's a few paths where you can wander and enjoy the nature closer, and if you're adventurous, you can climb down past the cross at the top too.
Sabrina — Google review
Gorgeous panoramic views from the top! Easy hike from the car park which offers first 30 mins free parking. We were back at the car just when 30 mins ran out. No entrance fee.
Antonia H — Google review
Amazing view from this point. It is not so hard to go up. It does not require any special equipments. But it makes you very tired till the moment you see the view:)
Kenan M — Google review
Large area of ruin. Not much left to see. Paid parking below and an uphill walk. Great views.
Ryanna H — Google review
Probably the best view on Garda Lake and the way there from the small village of Manerba is also something very special! There is a bit of hike to do, but totally doable and it is sooo worth it!!
Susanna B — Google review
The view from up there is just SPECTACULAR !!! if you are in the south area of Lago de Garda, this is a must go stop. Just 20 min north from Desanzano . A short walk from.the parking lot . You will not be disappointed.

Points of Interest & Landmarks
Isola di San Biagio is a charming tiny island located just a few meters off Punta Belvedere. Visitors can reach the island by walking through shallow waters from the camping area or by taking a taxi boat from the port, which departs every 20 minutes. While there is an entry fee of 5 euros and an additional cost of 5 euros to rent a sunbed, the island offers a relaxing beach with pebbled shores and grassy areas.
Walking through the camping is officially not allowed but it's easy to walk through. Dogs are very welcome and the beach is really nice. It's recommended to have some shoes for the water.
Michael T — Google review
This is a nice island where you can swim and relax. It can be reached by walking thru the shallow water from the camping or using the taxi boat at the port that leaves every 20 min. Stay away from the bar area unless you enjoy crowds and loud music. Entry is 5 euro and renting a sun bed is another 5 euro. Most of the inner island is covered in grass but the shore has pebbles like most places in this area.

Swimming lake
Spiaggia La Romantica is a stunning beach located in Manerba del Garda, known for its pristine cleanliness and inviting atmosphere. This picturesque spot features gentle slopes that make it perfect for families, with calm waters ideal for swimming. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, especially during sunset. The beach offers various amenities such as sunbed rentals and nearby cafes where you can savor delicious meals throughout the day.
Arrive early otherwise you won't find umbrellas to rent. If you take your own stuff and/or don't mind to be in the sun, then it's perfect! The beach is long so there's room for a lot of people without it feeling overcrowded. Lately its width has been reduced due to abnormal rain but it's still a beautiful beach with clear water and piers to jump from or take the sun on.

(Translated by Google) Beautiful beach, very clean, great atmosphere. During bad weather, people collected plastics thrown away by the lake waves. Great views of the mountains - best at sunset. There are plenty of bars and restaurants around, most of which you can also eat during siesta. (Translated by Google) Personally, I don't find the beach very exciting. Runs right on the promenade where people walk all the time. You don't have as much privacy as I like. Then in August the stones in the water were pretty dirty with algae, which isn't the case everywhere on the lake at the moment. I'll say... if you like it that way...

Nice lake!
Flavius D — Google review
(Translated by Google) Well, the name promises more than it actually is. In any case not romantic or particularly beautiful. The entire beach is a mixture of gravel and stone. The coarse stones are further south. Here it really hurts your feet if you go into the water without bathing shoes. Further north at the level of the adjacent campsite it is better and the bank is flatter. We went swimming twice, each on a weekday during the holiday season. There is always a free area for a beach mat and parasol. It's best to take an umbrella that you can twist up or a shovel (metal). There are also plenty of rental options, from boats to parasols. I'll put it this way, the umbrella we brought with us for €20 and the beach mats were enough for us (4 people). If you rent an umbrella, you'll also have to pay €20 for half a day. So now do the math. You can also rent a boat. The pedal boats from which you can slide or jump into the water are affordable. You have to want a motorboat for 220-250€/day. There are enough restaurants, as are the hawkers who would like to sell their junk to the people. The beach is not very clean, but that's because of the holidaymakers --> "After me the deluge" The dog beach is also attached in the southern area. Unfortunately, no one cares, so the dogs are actually everywhere and so are their remains. If the bath towel is nice and soft, there is definitely a dog pile underneath! (Thank God it hasn't happened to us.) Parking: We recommend the parking lot Parcheggio a pagamento Via Giuseppe Verdi, 25080 Pieve Vecchia BS, Italy. So jetzt mal rechnen.

(Translated by Google) A wonderful, clean, and quiet beach. After about a meter of water, you can feel the sand beneath your feet. You can rent sunbeds and an umbrella for the day, for around €20/€30 for two or three people. (Original) Świetna, czysta i cicha plaża. (Translated by Google) Spiaggia La Romantica in Manerba del Garda is a beautiful, quiet beach with stunning views of Lake Garda and the Rocca di Manerba. There are a few patches with a bit of seaweed, but it's hardly a problem. What's particularly nice is the fine sand in the water, which makes swimming very pleasant. I had a private jetty, so I didn't have to walk far – you can easily get into the water with water shoes, even if the shore is a bit rocky. The tranquil atmosphere and the view of the garden invite you to linger and relax. For me, Spiaggia La Romantica is a real insider tip on Lake Garda.

Archaeological museum
The Valtenesi Civic Archeological Museum is a cultural site near the Manerba fortress, offering insights into the history and archaeology of the Lake Garda region. The museum features archaeological finds displayed in cases on the ground floor, along with touchable artifacts. On the second floor, there are models of the fortress and explanations of its history, as well as information about the area's fauna and flora. The museum also provides explanations in both Italian and English.
I didn't have to pay for a ticket. You can donate as much as you like in order to visit the museum.

(Translated by Google) A place rich in history... and ideas for reflecting on the authenticity of art The La Rocca Museum in Manerba del Garda between History and Nature is a precious gem, immersed in the symbolic power of the hill and its ancient roots. The narration of the ancestors, shared with passion by a kind local lady, made the visit a lively and vibrant experience. A place that not only tells the story of the past, but also the vibrations of the present, sometimes embodied by souls searching... or escaping from themselves. During a meditation in this breathtaking landscape, I met a photographer who, between one shot and another, listened (apparently) to my artistic visions. I shared with her a project born from years of study and contemplation: the sparkles on the lake, a symbol of awakening and divine connection. I involved her in a concrete way, commissioning her first work. But the agreement never blossomed: there was a lack of listening, and the collaborative spirit was, let's say... intermittent. Over time, those same “sparks” appeared in the exhibition, presented as the fruit of personal inspiration. What can I say? Even when the light is stolen, it never truly shines the same. And so, I wish with all my heart that everyone, one day, can truly enjoy the sparkle for an entire day, as I told with joy while studying the lake... because I know certain souls, and I know how rare it is for them to find peace. Dear Sara, I sincerely hope that you can finally see that reflection not only with your eyes, but also with your heart. And maybe, one day, be able to actually enjoy the sparkle all day – without having to steal it. To you, Museum, I hope to be able - before exhibiting - to verify that the selected artists are truly authentic and professional, and not just local descendants with overbearing ancestors. Because, as you can see, certain energies return... and even the thieves of ideas evolve with the times (Original) Un luogo ricco di storia… e di spunti per riflettere sull’autenticità dell’arte Il Museo La Rocca di Manerba del Garda tra Storia e Natura è una gemma preziosa, immersa nella potenza simbolica della collina e delle sue radici antiche.

Punta Sasso is a favorite panoramic spot on Lake Garda, offering stunning views of the lake and the surrounding area. It can be accessed from two sides, both providing a great experience with paths leading to Rocca di Manerba. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely stroll through the nature reserve, where they may encounter an abundance of butterflies. The viewpoint at Punta Sasso offers a perfect place to sit and take in the breathtaking scenery of the lake.
Loved running in the area and watching the amazing Garda lake from the cliff as well as enjoying the small orchard. You can enter here from two sides and both ways were great experience with the path to Rocca di Manerba. If you stay in Manerba you can enter the site from the Spiaggia Pisenze or Chiesa di San Giorgio.

Baia delle Sirene, also known as Mermaid Bay, is a beautiful beach located in the Punta San Vigilio Park near Garda. The beach offers a picturesque view of Lake Garda and provides various amenities such as a beach club, entertainment, nursery, and restaurant. Access to the beach involves a fee that includes parking, sun loungers, showers, and access to facilities like toilets and a kids club with playground.
We loved the beach , had a great full day of sun. They got chairs toilets and a restaurant. Great place to get away from the public beaches crowds. Paid 18 euros per person and we thought that was worth it.
Natalia A — Google review
Beautiful, well maintained beach location at the lake. Clean toilets, good beds to lay on, sun and shade from the trees (cooler than under an umbrella), nice bar with great cocktails.. The price is high, but worth it if you come for the whole day, but parking is extra (12€ for a whole day). Our kids particularly enjoyed that there was a shallow part of the lake and then a sudden drop so they could ‘jump into the deep part’. We also got treated to some music which was absolutely lovely and gave a great vibe. We came on a Friday so it wasn’t too busy. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Rachel Y — Google review
Beautiful (pricey!) spot to relax, enjoy the amazing landscape and bathe in crystal clear water. There’s a little bar/café and clean toilets. We were only annoyed by a guy working there, we felt like he was patrolling the area and the vibe was a bit off. But otherwise great location!
Andrea B — Google review
Nice spot, but definitely overpriced — especially compared to Rivera Beach Club just on the other side. It’s €20 (weekdays in July) per person plus extra for parking 200m away, while Rivera Beach Club is cheaper, includes parking, and is overall much nicer and more upscale. Unless the price here drops, I’d recommend to go to Rivera Beach Club.
AaLiBc — Google review
The venue is stunning, but horribly overpriced. They’ve clearly maximised the geographical beauty of the location, but the overall experience is disappointing for the cost. Entry is €15 per person for just half a day, yet the bathrooms are substandard – no toilet seats and wet floors. Towels are not provided. A basic pre-made salad, the kind you’d expect from a school canteen, is another €15, and it’s not even prepared on site. On top of this, my husband is gluten intolerant (not coeliac), and this was the only place in Italy where we were told we should have called ahead. At such a luxurious and high-priced establishment, we certainly didn’t expect staff to be reluctant to even offer a simple salad. Everywhere else in Italy has been welcoming and accommodating, so this was a real disappointment. For two people: entry (€30), two salads (€30), and drinks (about €20) came to around €80 – that’s roughly R1,600 – and parking is extra. Staff were not particularly welcoming when I raised my concerns. For the money you pay, you’d expect a much higher standard. I do not recommend it. If you read other reviews, you’ll see that there’s a place across the way that offers a far better experience at a more reasonable price.
Shelley W — Google review
Beautiful place & well maintained this location at the lake. Clean toilets, There is a good bar & very tasty food & drinks 🍸
AKD — Google review
The beach itself is wonderful and some of the views even breathtaking. But I dunno if its worth the money. We paid 13€ per person (discount after 14:30) + parking for 8€. You get sunbeds and shadow guaranteed but we also got live music which I wasnt really happy about as we wanted to rest on a beach, not attending a concert.
Alica H — Google review
Disappointing and overpriced – clearly just a money-making machine Unfortunately, I can’t understand the many positive reviews. Entry now costs a hefty €15 for just half a day – even for children – which is completely out of proportion to what’s offered. Add to that an expensive parking fee. The beach area is tiny and completely overcrowded, with sunbeds packed tightly together, leaving little room to relax. There are far too few toilets for the number of visitors – a real issue, especially for families. The snack bar is another letdown: overwhelmed staff, very limited options, and not even the basics like fries. Instead, they try to create a pseudo-luxury vibe that just doesn’t hold up. On top of that, there’s no mobile reception – inconvenient and frustrating in this day and age. Bottom line: This place is clearly designed to squeeze as much money out of visitors as possible, with no real value in return.

Castello di Moniga, a well-preserved castle from the tenth century, is known for its intact walls and the unique feature of having three streets of houses built inside where people actually live. The castle's history includes tales of decay, reuse, and modifications over time. While it may not be worth a special trip, it's a fascinating place to explore if you're in the area or to visit during a bike ride with an ice cream stop in the village center.

Nice remains of a castle, with very nice restaurant aside of it. Not very much to experience but the surrounding and views are good. Also funny how the space within the old walls is filled with houses.
H. H — Google review
Impressive structure with a bell tower. Inside the old structure is a tiny but pittoresque residential area one can walk through. As a dog owner I like the big lawn area for a quick play of fetch. Highlight is the small bar right outside the castello which features a terrific view over Garda Lake.
Sven F — Google review
As many others mentioned; small, quickly seen etc. But sure worth a quick visit if you’re around. Basically an old stone square wall with houses inside. Yet, it also is fascinating to see the decay, reuse and many repairs and modifications made over time. I would not drive here specially for this. But as said, when around just spent 15 min here and enjoy it. Also a nice destination for a bike ride with some ice cream afterwards in the village center.
Arjan V — Google review
It's been a nice Castle with wonderful small streets. Not crowded, connected to a small community park with the possibility to have a picknick. Walk down to the harbour of Monica del Garda and you have a perfect afternoon. No entry fee. We recommend to drop by at the church across the main entrance to the castle.
P B — Google review
A very tiny compound with a few houses a d household. According to an old lady who lived there, the castle used to be surrounded by water with a retractable bridge which in modern age has been covered up. A back door was also made to access the back of the castle. Very quaint place to explore.

Good preserved old castle walls, you can go around it im few minutes. There is also a nice view of Garda sea.

If you're looking for an unforgettable water adventure, look no further than Sup Garda! This guided Stand-Up Paddleboarding tour along the stunning coastline of Lake Garda offers breathtaking views and a chance to connect with nature. The friendly staff at Sup Garda are known for their exemplary hospitality, making it easy to rent boards even during off-peak times. Families can enjoy paddling together, exploring serene spots like Isola Del Garda while soaking in the crystal-clear waters.
Great place to hire a SUP on a lovely quiet little pebbled beach around the lake. Below the water there is even sand. The staff are very helpful, welcoming and friendly. I would recommend hiring a SUP and paddling to Isola Del Garda. The water is very clear and great views. Reasonable prices as well. The staff also went out of their way and helped us out by ringing us a taxi after too, which we had really struggled with getting.

Great SUP rental and a very nice "Pisenze" beach to do stand up paddle. 12 eur per hour, lots of sups to rent. Beach there is narrow but with easy access to water and very clean.

Great SUP renting spot! People are very friendly and helpful. Very costumer orientated, explained us a lot. Also very helpful with the kids. We also loved the handmade necklace they sell! Very delicate... Next time we need a o try the SUP & beer tour 😎

Great place on Lake Garda for SUP rental. Friendly staff and good value for money. A range of boards and classes to choose from for beginners and more advanced. Would recommend to others.

Very kind stuff and very helpful. Nice surrounding. We enjoyed a rented kayak there a lot. They also rent windsurfing - the wind usually starts to blow at two o'clock afternoon in this area, but that day when we visited the lake, it didn't blow at all.

Exemplary friendliness and flexibility - wwe wanted to rent boards for the family but the shop had already closed for winter. Luckily one of the instructors was still around doing some renovations - so we could agree on renting three boards for two days, paddle them over to our camping past the island and have two wonderful days as a family with the boards. Surely a really nice experience and such a lovely spot as a SUP location. They have a choice of different oards, beginners and more advanced. We had a lot of fun and say a big thank you to the staff for making this possible despite being closed for winter!!

Spiaggia "Pisenze" is a picturesque lakefront shoreline with pebbly sand and stunning mountain views. It's known for its clear, warm water and natural surroundings, making it a top choice for swimming and sunbathing. The beach is part of a natural reserve, ensuring a peaceful atmosphere away from boat traffic. While the shore consists of small stones, just a short swim out reveals sandy bottoms without water plants.
This was a lovely beach. Extremely quiet at the end of September when we visited a few times. The beach is stony but sandy once you are in the water. It was very clean and the lake is so clear. There is fairly cheap parking nearby. Just make sure you don't try to get to it by going down the private roads because they have locked gates at the end so you can't get to the beach!
Georgia R — Google review
A very beautiful and landscaped place. The water here is clear and very warm. The entrance to the sea is a little with stones, but after a few meters you can enjoy the sandy bottom.

Very beautiful beach surrounded by a huge rock from the one side and an island from another. It's actually a narrow band going along the lake. Water shoes are highly recommended. There is also a point to rent a paddle boat (12 Euro per hour). Several parkings around (1 Euro/hour).

Very nice place to relax and play in the water. Bring water shoes because there is a lot of slippery rocks. On this particular day the waves were like on the sea. :)

Nice setup but it was only 2 fruits and vegetables stands with very limited selection. The rest was all sorts of cheap clothes, bags, shoes and glasses. A bit disappointing because market is being promoted as local produce market for fish meat, veggies and fruits. Maybe it is different in other towns but Moniga's market was a disappointment

Because this place really has a lot to offer, and to please everyone. Here there are wonderful beaches, many green areas, and interesting historic buildings. Here in the village there are many restaurants where you can eat really well... and drink good Chiaretto. What a rip off. Had two small beers (0,2 l) and the woman behind the bar charged me 9 euros for it. Clearly intended to rip off tourists, pretty sure locals don't pay that much. The place is messy (full astrays on tables) but the worst is that the beer tasted off. And don't tell me this was a mistake. If you run a bar and can't tell the difference between a small beer and more expensive drinks when operating the cash register you are truly stupid. Never. Go. There. Again.

Nice bar for a drink but very bad service. We virtually had to force them to sell us food. If you are on your way passing by it's OK. Coffee is also rather bad for Italian standards. Average for international standards. Maybe go down 100m top to the center, there's another coffee place which might be better.
