Salt Pans are traditional sites for salt production, with geometric patterns of pans near the ocean. In Xwejni, on Gozo's northern coast, ancient techniques are used to harvest artisan salt from these pans. Visitors can purchase this unique salt from nearby shops. On Sicily's west coast near Nubia, travelers can explore the Salt Pans between Trapani and Marsala.
Beautiful view and really not busy when we went to visit- barely any people. Stunning view of the sea, and the salt pans are gorgeous. Had a lovely cocktail nearby.
Done K — Google review
Along Gozo’s rugged northwest coast, the centuries-old salt pans carve a striking geometric pattern into the limestone shoreline. Hand-chiseled by generations of local families, these shallow pools still produce sea salt using traditional methods passed down since the Romans. Visiting at sunrise or sunset offers breathtaking views as the golden light reflects off the crystal-lined pans. Watch as salt harvesters skillfully scrape the mineral-rich crystals—a backbreaking yet cherished craft. The nearby Salt Kitchen shop sells this "white gold" in its purest form, perfect for edible souvenirs. A testament to Gozo’s resilience, the salt pans blend natural beauty with living history. Free to visit, but respect the working areas.

Very nice area to visit and walk around. Beautiful salt pans, easily accessible.
Рахилка С — Google review
So brilliant to see the salt being harvested. Great walking along by the sea. Great for swimming, relaxing and leisurely refreshments.
Liz C — Google review
Beautiful spot but you should we aware that Malta is a country where they hunt and catch birds, especially when the bird migration is going on, like now. They kill for fun and the hunts are not very well controled. Around the coastline you see these hunters everywhere. Birds in very small cages, hunters with riffles, speakers with birdsounds... We witnessed a lot of those spots and it is heartbreaking. We wouldn't have visited Malta if we knew this upfront.
Wendy E — Google review
Beautiful coastal walk along the water, interesting history regarding the salt collection. A nice family sells the salt directly at the location.
Joel B — Google review
As beautiful as the pictures...in Victoria, you can buy Gozo sea salt from here that's several hundred years old! The salt pans are a marvel of nature and located at the end of a pleasant walk or drive from Marsalforn--but I recommend walking for the air.
Danielle O — Google review
Nice bit of coast to see where salt is traditionally still collected over the summer months. Really interesting to see, nice walk along the coastline while you're viewing them. There's a cafe there and public toilets. We went in off season so plenty of places to park, but could see in the summer months that it would be very busy.

Xwejni Bay is a charming small beach nestled among limestone cliffs, offering clear waters and scenic views. It's a popular spot for swimmers and divers, with ample parking spaces available. Visitors can enjoy the convenience of modern facilities including clean toilets and showers nearby. The bay is known for its tranquil atmosphere and crystal-clear waters, making it an ideal location for swimming and snorkeling.
Beautiful pebble beach with many scenic views everywhere you look. The day we went the waves were coming over the road, it was pretty rough. There are a few restaurants and shops nearby, definately a beautiful place to spend time exploring the area.

Victoria, also known as Rabat, is the capital of Gozo Island in Malta. The city is famous for its medieval Citadel with fortified walls and the Gran Castello Historic House, which serves as a folklore museum. Visitors can explore prehistoric stone sculptures at the Gozo Museum of Archaeology and admire the richly painted ceiling of the baroque-era Gozo Cathedral. Additionally, the 16th-century Old Prison features walls adorned with etchings by former inmates.

Restaurant
Qbajjar Restaurant in Gozo is a popular dining spot offering a variety of cuisines. Located in the vibrant Xaghra village square, it provides a glimpse into the local culinary traditions. The restaurant is known for its local lamb dishes and also offers options like whiskey and cigars. With its Mediterranean and European grill offerings, Qbajjar Restaurant is one of the best places to eat in Gozo.
A great restaurant with a wide range of choice whilst still keeping a great quality. The restaurant is very airy (if you are seated in the main restaurant or outside). A great view of the bay. The food includes a wide choice of freshly caught fish (including specials), a wide choice of Pizzas and a good choice of meat dishes. The service is excellent and with a large group they work hard to get the food out at the same time. I definitely recommend them…
Stephen R — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I recently dined at Qbajjar Restaurant in Marsalforn, Gozo, and it was a fantastic experience! The seafood was incredibly fresh and expertly prepared, with the local flavors shining through. The staff was friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. The views of the bay added to the charm of the evening. I highly recommend the grilled octopus and the homemade desserts! Can't wait to return!
Gebrehiwot T — Google review
We visited this place together with a local who said this place has the best price vs food quality performance on Gozo. I don't know if it is so, but I trust our friend. So I took fish soup, it was tasty, it had fish and rice as main filling plus some other things, a solid 7.5/10 As a starte we also took Mussels and they were really good, nice garlic and vine 9/10. All table took Spaghetti Pescatore as it was suggested to us by our friend and I have to say it was great (I'm not a huge fan of pastas, but this I could eat more) it had rich seafood topping and everything was well made and tasty 9.5/10 And as a dessert I took an apple pie andb my other half took Fondant. Both were ok, well made and balanced with ice-cream. 8/10 What this place lacks is a bit better service. We asked for desserts menu 3 times (to 3 different waiters) until it was finally brought. This place has a nice terrace with view of sea. All in all, I think I would visit this place again if I'm somewhere nearby.
Gundars M — Google review
Amazing food, very fresh and delicious. The staff was really helpful and friendly. Highly recommended 😊
Dorota S — Google review
The restaurant is located right by the sea, offering a beautiful view from both the terrace and the outside area. The staff is friendly, and the dishes are served quickly. There’s a wide selection of wines, as well as craft beers. When it comes to the menu, I believe everyone can find something they like. The prices are similar to those in Rabat on Gozo and on Malta itself. The only downside is that when it’s full inside, it gets quite noisy and it can be hard to have a conversation.
G G — Google review
This restaurant is near the guest house where we stayed. We went just for convenience but we ended up eating here every day because the food was good. It’s also good value for money as the portions are big. You’d better go there hungry.
J G — Google review
We visited Qbajjar in Gozo without a reservation and were seated outside, where we could enjoy the warmth and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. I ordered the mussels cooked in white wine and despite the sauce being on the salty side, the mussels themselves were absolutely fantastic. So fresh, meaty, and perfectly cooked, hands down the best mussels I had during my entire trip to Malta. Although it was listed as a starter, the portion was incredibly generous and could’ve easily passed for a main. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout, and we had no trouble finding a parking space in their car park, which made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. I’d definitely return if I’m ever back in Gozo, just maybe with a side of bread to soak up that salty (but tasty!) sauce. The deserts were nicely presented, and quite delicious.
Emilia — Google review
Incredible food and range of dishes along with reasonable prices relative to quality. 2nd year coming here and the standards are the same if not higher. Staff are welcoming and friendly and you are served swiftly though this varies depending on how busy it is. would recommend booking in advance. veiw from indoor terrace and outside terrace are both beautiful. would recommend

Nestled in the charming village of Gharb, the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Blessed Virgin of Ta' Pinu is a stunning example of Neo-Romantic architecture that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding sea. This revered site has been a pilgrimage destination since 1883 when a local woman reported hearing the voice of the Virgin Mary.
A truly special and peaceful place. The Ta’ Pinu Basilica is not only beautiful from the outside with its stunning architecture, but the inside has a calming, spiritual atmosphere. The story behind it — of a local woman hearing the Virgin Mary’s voice in the 1880s — makes the place feel even more meaningful. There are rooms full of heartfelt messages and thank-yous from people all over the world. If you have time, walk up the nearby hill with the Stations of the Cross — the views are amazing. Definitely worth a visit whether you’re religious or just appreciate history and quiet places.
Mat B — Google review
Beautiful Basilica. Take the time to walk around. Sad to see all of the items in the shrine rooms. Walk up the hill opposite to see marble statues and get a great view if you ignore the crane 😊
Julie F — Google review
Very nice enormous basilica with a touching story emblematic of the history and culture of Malta. Eminently walkable area and along many tour bus routes for a 10-minute photo stop. Highly recommend walking around outside and inside to catch all the gems of this wonderful place!
Danielle O — Google review
This a beautiful Catholic Shrine of Blessed irgin Mary. The story of the church and Shrine is uniquely beautiful. The church has been build out of small Chapel where the picture of Mother Mary of TA' PINU is located. Inside is the gallery with pictures and letters of all miracles and healing that took place as of Mother Mary and Frances. The basilica is very peaceful inside. The church is not open at all times. Modesty is necessary when coming to holy space like Shrine.
Viola M — Google review
Must visit place Mosaic work is awesome at entrance. Church is quite different to all others in terms of interior architecture and design.
Chalapathi M — Google review
Another amazing architectural wonder. Such a scared site and a blessing to experience this powerful space. So cool to check out even though I am not religious but rather spiritual.
Luke L — Google review
A truly breathtaking church in Gozo. The architecture is stunning inside and out, with incredible attention to detail. You can really feel the history and spirituality as soon as you walk in – it has such a peaceful and moving atmosphere. A must-visit if you’re exploring Gozo, whether for faith, history, or just to admire its beauty.
Sofie S — Google review
The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Blessed Virgin of Ta' Pinu, nestled in the peaceful Gozitan countryside, is undoubtedly an impressive neo-Romanesque structure. I enjoyed visiting the site, and its architectural grandeur, particularly the towering bell tower and the beautiful mosaics outside, certainly make for a visually striking destination. It has a compelling history rooted in local tradition, dating back to a 19th-century peasant who allegedly heard the voice of the Virgin Mary in the original, much smaller chapel, which now sits behind the main altar. While the atmosphere is serene and it holds immense religious importance for the Maltese, beyond the stunning facade and the interesting back story, the visit itself wasn't a supremely unforgettable experience compared to some other world-class pilgrimage sites. Nevertheless, it is a significant cultural and spiritual landmark on the island of Gozo.

Marsalforn Bay is a popular destination on the second-largest island in the Maltese archipelago, offering a beach, promenade, and resort town. It can be easily accessed by bus or car from various points on Gozo. Situated between the villages of Xaghra and Zebbug, it forms part of Zebbug and is a bustling summer resort for both Gozitan and Maltese families who own summer houses in the area.
Beautiful bay , we enjoyed walking along the coast to find quieter places to swim , felt very safe with friendly locals and a bar that sold familiar drinks

Lovely place with several restaurants and many spots where you can swim. Also live music entertainment every Monday all summer long. Beautiful walks by the seaside leading to Xwejni bay and further in. Worth a visit.
Alfred B — Google review
It is not impressive as others write. Ordinary coast with cafes and hotels. All of southern Europe with the same promenades, nothing special. It's true that the food in cafes is amazing.
Gediminas K — Google review
Very nice bay on the north side of Gozo, with great eating and drinking options. There isn’t much of a beach, as is usual on Gozo, but there are plenty of places you can jump or walk into the warm sea, and roped off areas for children. We had a great afternoon here and would consider staying here in the future.
Ben J — Google review
The Gozo island of Malta is a remarkable place. Maltese by birth but a English citizen since a child I’ll be giving a honest review. Gozo is a stand alone island from Malta with a verity of locations. The island is more a relaxed location which is great for exploring, relaxing, visiting and shopping. as we have a flat in Gozo I’m able to say their a fair few shopping locations including a smaller shopping centre and a Lidl’s. The experience is pleasant and rememberable and with out a doubt enjoyable. This is not a drinking holiday location but the Friday and Saturday night are entertaining and good.

Wied il-Mielaħ is a scenic rock formation by the sea resembling a window that can be reached through a long stairway with handrails. While it's challenging to access, visitors can enjoy the stunning view of the crystal-clear water reflecting the sunshine through the blue window. The best time to visit is in the morning or at noon before shadows form due to westward sunsets. The high cliffs and deep blue waters offer an incredible view that one must experience for an extended period.
It may remind a bit of Azure Window, but in any case another beautiful place in Gozo that you should not miss. The road by car is a bit narrower, but not stressful, at the end you will also find a parking space 😁. You can enjoy breathtaking views, this is definitely worth it. I am more worried that climbers and turists will gradually disturb this place and it will collapse like its more famous brother in 2017, which would be a shame.
Peter S — Google review
Beautiful! Haven't got a chance to see Azure Window when it was still above the ground, but I think Wied il-Mielah is a nice "replacement". It's amazing, the view made me breathtakingly calm ❤️ You can make a lunch break there as well! ☀️☺️☀️ I recommend walking in Gozo, in general, but especially to this place. It's nice to go with the bus to Zebbug and from there walk to Wied il-Gharsi (amazing) and then to wied il-mielah and from there to Gharb or San Lawrenz to take a bus back. And for those who really like to walk It's nice to go from wied il-mielah to the "sunsets cliffs" (probably through Gharb) most beautiful spot and by the cliffs It's a nice walk down to Dwejra Bay, but this route is for Island explorers, highly recommended for everyone tho. Cheers, see you at the cliffs 💃 (Video is from a really windy day, don't be scared 😅)
Maja G — Google review
...I can’t find a word good enough to describe Malta’s stunning nature. Wied il-Mielah stands out with its beautiful coastal cliffs… a true rest for the soul and body…
Tanja B — Google review
Spectacular stone arch that you can walk out across on the left side of the valley (best to do this first, if you don't like heights), with a narrow staircase on the right side leading down to a great view of what's beneath where you were just standing (or not). It's an easy walk and there's parking nearby. If you go past the top of the stairs instead, out to the edge, then follow the clifftop around to the right, there's a ledge a couple of meters wide that you can walk along to see a huge cave a little further along the coast. Back at the car park, there's a road to the east that takes you along the cliffs to Wied il-Għasri, which is also well worth a visit.
John B — Google review
It was an interesting drive to get there. It's a really fun one :)) The place itself is beautiful, easy to get to. There are stairs that go down, they're well made and safe.
Aurėja M — Google review
Walk the trail down the side of the cliff. You are limited in view as it is blocked off towards the end Because it has become eroded, but still a wonderful view.
Jonesphoto_91 P — Google review
A fantastic geological experience, a truly wonderful visit to this rock formation that 30 million years ago was the seabed, if you look carefully you will find millions of fossils buried in the rock on which you walk. You can also take a walk down a staircase to view the Weid IL Mielah window
Stephen S — Google review
Very beautiful landscape and veiw over the sea and surounding cliffs. The Window looks like on the end of the world. It is also good for climbing. In that part of the island you can see a lot of cliffs over 50m heigh.

Għar Qawqla is a rocky beach in Malta, known for its limestone rocks and clear waters. The beach offers a tranquil atmosphere with the option to rent sunbeds and parasols. There's also a small kiosk providing food, drinks, and ice creams.
I love the walk around the beach on Marasalforn going west to the salt pans. The air and water are so fresh and pristine and there are only locals walking around in the wintertime. There's even a gazebo you can stop at to rest your legs and benches

Crystal clear water and no crowd (not even on the weekends) beach had a toilet which is a plus. Sunbed and umbrella cost 5€ each (at least in July when I visited)

Very nice water and easy access. Pleasant atmosphere with a small kiosk where Mike offers a good range of foods, drinks and ice creams; possible to rent sunbeds and parasols at €5 each; also a small toilet. Just 0.5 less star as it doesn't have a shower option like neighbouring beaches - still totally worth spending time here.
Estelle H — Google review
We discovered this spot after spending a few hours at Marselforn beach, and if I think this spot is more scenic. It’s not a sandy beach but they have beach chairs for rent.
Catherine F — Google review
Really exotic limestone beach! The underwater species are more varied here than on Malta. Please keep the beach clean as it was at least in June 2023.

Great beach with €5 chair and €5 umbrella rental. There is a food truck with very reasonable prices as well.
Sverre H — Google review
Had a swim here at sundown on our holiday to Marsalforn, the colours were absolutely brilliant. The water is deep from the get go, and if you aren't careful enough, the waves might slam you to the wall, so I personally would recommend this beach to more experienced swimmers. There weren't many people around, we had the luck to go at a fairly tranquil time. Not a sandy beach, you can lay down your towels on the rocks. It's pretty smooth actually!

The Ggantija Temples, a UNESCO-listed archaeological site located in the village of Xaghra plateau, are believed to be the oldest freestanding monuments in the world. Dating back to 3600 BCE to 3200 BCE during the Copper Age, these temples predate famous landmarks such as Stonehenge and the Pyramids.
It's not spectacular as only so much survived to our times. Yet if you want to see the oldest megalithic construction in Europe, and learn about its history, it is a good place to visit for a as little as €10. We don't really have a clue how these huge stones were transported and lifted in place more than 6000 years ago, do we?
Tomasz P — Google review
Got there early so could read all exhibits and get around without too many people. Initial building is nice and lots of interesting exhibits that bring the temple to life. Super easy to get around. Really worthwhile visit.
Danny A — Google review
The temple was smaller than expected, so don't have expectations based on the name 😄 The small museum that you enter first is quite interesting, but there were two guided companies at the same time as us and they were loud and took a lot of space, so we had to go back to the museum afterwards to see the rest. If you want to get a feel of the place, set aside time to just be there (and maybe wait for guided tours to move on). If you are lucky and can be in one of the temple areas alone, you can better get a sense of the energy and history of the place. You can easily get through it in less than an hour, but if you have time, just enjoy the surroundings and the magical sensation of a temple older than the pyramids.
Michelle A — Google review
Oldest free standing manmade structures in the world! A thousand years older than the pyramids of Egypt! Excellent museum. Self guided tour around the walls

Once used for grinding grain into flour, it now serves as a museum showcasing the miller's workshop and living quarters. Visitors can explore recreated furniture and gain insight into past village lifestyles. The windmill offers a glimpse into Malta's history and culture, making it a must-see attraction for those interested in the island's heritage.
Such a cool place to visit. Definitely worth a visit and free entry with your ticket from the ruins.

Visited because it was included with the Ġgantija Archaeological Park ticket, so I mean why not. A cute windmill to visit, kind workers, clean bathroom, organized and clean site. Tight at the top with others but a great conversation starter for sure 😆. Overall pretty good
Millie M — Google review
If you’ve never been inside a windmill before, this is definitely worth a visit. It’s a unique experience where you can also read a lot about Malta’s history and how important bread was in daily life.
Рахилка С — Google review
Entry to the museum is €10 on a combined ticket with the nearby Ggantija Archeological park (the latter makes is worthwhile) or €13 as part of a combined ticket that includes 5 Citadella museums in Victoria (Citadella visitor centre), museum of archaeology, old prison, Gran Castillo historic house, and nature museum) as well as the Ggantija Archeological park and Ta Kola windmill. The windmill makes for an enjoyable 15 minute visit, but I wouldn't trek out to Ggantija just to see it. It is also wholly unsuitable for people who cannot handle lots of twisting stairs (you can see it from the outside though). The windmill is prettier on the outside than the inside, so you may not wish to actually pay for entry of you don't have a ticket for the nearby Archeological park.
Tom H — Google review
We only visited because entry was included in the Ggantija ticket, but I'm very glad we did. A beautiful old windmill that a local man kept working until he died in the 1980s. He was a blacksmith too, and seemed to have made all his own tools. It was great to be able to walk to the very top and see the shaft and gears close up, and marvel at the construction from around 270 years ago. If you're visiting Ggantija it's well worth the 2-minute walk to visit.
Richard L — Google review
We bought the combo ticket which included entry to the temples. There was no waiting time, the staff were friendly, and the windmill was quaint and well-preserved.
David A — Google review
This is a very interesting museum, situated just a five-minute walk from the Ġgantija Temples.

Ta' Dbiegi Crafts Village in Gozo was once used as soldiers quarters for the British military, but now it's a hub for local artisans offering hand-made products, workshops, and private sessions. The village is known for its variety of crafts including leather goods, pottery, glass items, and local treats like ice cream and honey. Visitors can explore the clean and welcoming stores selling unique artisanal pieces.
Love the food, wsn't expecting this nice as we were just after the leather and craft shop but food tastes amazing! Friendly staff too. Visiting here for more than an hour is worth it

It was written to open till 18h and I visited 16:30, all the shop were already closed. It was so sad. They looked very nice. But the ice cream shop was open and I entered. It was so tasty. They were also selling some sweets, and it looks nice.

Local arts and crafts by artisans. You can also find local products like salt, jams, alcohol and sweet wines. It was quiet and not crowded when we visited. Many patrons were locals. We enjoyed some excellent drinks and pastries at Angele Patisserie & Confiserie.

Beautiful craft work is being produced there. We loved the metal and the ceramic place. The café is also amazing, so many cakes options and gelato.

Great place to visit. I always like to visit whenever I go to Gozo. A must place to visit is the Inkwina workshop where you can see the manufacture of art from metal. The concept is quite original and innovative. The owner is super nice. The Crafts village has also other good places to visit such as jewellery, food sellers and leather products. Recommended. The place could do with some investment to embellish the area. Otherwise the place is quite unique.

What a lovely little spot to stop and walk around, possibly purchase some hand crafted gifts or have a coffee with a pastry. We stopped for a short while and watched the glass blower making a vase. Also, the leather maker created some purse before having a coffee and a tasty treat.

Ta' Dbiegi is a lovely little arts, crafts and souvenirs village in Gozo which is very well known, there's lovely ornaments and treats you can get from here, from leather, pottery, glass and even lovely ice cream and local honey, herbs and spices. All the stores are super clean and welcoming. There are toilet at the back which are super clean. I do recommend if your in Gozo come check out this cool well known Crafts village.

Cute artisan village but for some reason multiple vendors had a problem with other customers touching products. Maybe they expect people to buy first? Strange. Worth a visit to see the artisan work being done on site though.

Tal-Mixta Cave, located on the high hills of Nadur in Gozo Island, offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding countryside and the famous red sandy beach of 'Ir-Ramla l-Hamra'. This picturesque cave is a popular photography spot, especially during sunset. Accessible by foot, it provides striking views of the sea and nearby islands. While slightly challenging to reach, it's worth visiting for its stunning vistas.
Amazing views, really worth visiting if you are in Gozo. The hike up from the Ramla beach takes about 15 minutes, with the last part a bit tricky. You can also take a longer and easier route from the other side or even drive close by. It gets busy with visitors during the day, but the beautiful cave and amazing view make it worth the effort.
Рахилка С — Google review
I visited Mixta Cave a week ago and it was such an amazing experience! It’s about a 7–10 minute walk from where the bolt driver dropped us off, and the walk itself was beautiful with stunning views along the way. From the cave, the view is truly breathtaking and very relaxing. You can clearly see Ramla Beach from above (though we decided not to go down), and it’s a perfect spot to just sit and take in the scenery. Many say the sunset here is spectacular — we didn’t stay long enough to see it, but even during the day it was worth the visit. What’s even better is that this tourist spot is completely free, which makes it an easy and memorable addition to any Gozo itinerary. Definitely add Mixta Cave to your list if you’re visiting the island!
Natalie A — Google review
We visited Mixta Cave today with my family and our 5-year-old son, and it was such a wonderful experience. The cave itself is beautiful and offers an absolutely stunning view of Ramla Bay. Our little one loved playing in the sand while we enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and breathtaking scenery. It’s definitely a spot worth visiting if you’re in Gozo perfect for anyone who appreciates nature’s beauty.
Martina V — Google review
A long walk from the bus, but worth the views. The cave is just beatufilly situated, with the main viewpoint being on Ramla, one of the best looking beaches and bays in Gozo/Malta. You can hike down in few mins from it to the beach which felt very rewarding, but it may be dangerous, so if you don't feel confident, walk around with safer paths.
Jan W — Google review
A stunning panoramic view of Ramla Bay, featured on many Maltese post cards and Calendars. From a dwelling and shelter place for prehistoric people and their livestock, to a strategic defence place during the Knights period. Such a rich history for such a small cave. Nowadays it is one of the best place in Gozo to watch the sunset. The panoramic view of the longest sandy beach in Gozo is second to none! We reached the cave from the road above it and then we walked through the fields , as at some point (approx. 300m from the entrance of the cave) the road / path becomes private.
Ted D — Google review
Beautiful beach with access to a beautiful scenery and cave. The beach has an orange type sand but the it does get Stoney in water and does have some seaweed at the start. DO NT GO TOO FAR OUT. There is strong undertow depending on the time of year. Strong swimmers only :). There is a bus stop and you walk towards the beach - bus 322 should take you there.

Amazing view on the whole Ramla Bay, must see if near/on Ramla beach. Easy trip to Victoria from the cave also, by the bus. The way to the cave is suitable for everyone, old and young. 20 minutes walk from the bus stop.

The valley features a small pebble beach surrounded by spectacular scenery, making it an ideal spot for relaxation.
The view was exceptional. The photos do not do it justice and it is an absolute must see. Only recommend swimming deeper I for more confident swimmers but every level of swimmer should get in, if even up to their ankle or waist. We allocated 1 hour bit ended up spending 3 because it was so beautiful

A beautiful hidden away cove with crystal clear waters. It was almost deserted when we got there. A little kiosk at the top for fruit and hydration - but only takes cash so be prepared. Cheap umbrella & sunbed hire but we spent more time in the water than lying on the rocks so we didn’t hire anything. You can swim under the rocks and swim in the water in the shade if you want to get out of the sun. Some steep steps to get down there, but families with young kids were managing fine. Would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues or those not stable on their feet. This was the highlight of our Gozo trip! Just beautiful!
Patricia G — Google review
Beautiful sheltered & shaded pebble beach within a high-sided gorge connected to the sea. Well worth the walk down the steep steps from the gravel track at the top. In calm conditions and if you’re comfortable with 200m swim each way, a snorkel out to the open sea is also a great experience.
Sam C — Google review
Really cool place to snorkel in Gozo. Dramatic scenery with water clearer as you get away from the tiny beach. The road leading to a small parking place is very rugged but ok for most cars. The decent is steep but there's some steps to use. Really worthwhile to visit.
Piotr W — Google review
This secluded pebbled beach is a haven for those seeking to enjoy the Mediterranean in peace and quiet. The area sits between the town of Żebbuġ and Ġordan Hill. The sea here flows into the valley from between two beautiful cliffs. The area is great for snorkeling. The bottom of the pebbled beach can be accessed through a flight of steps.
Ted D — Google review
Great place to visit for a cool swim BUT the water is quite dirty. I am sure the authorities can keep cleaner. For small cars, the last 200 meters are challenging, better to leave it park on the main road. If you are traveling with kids, bear in mind the stairs.
Abner P — Google review
From Viktoria, take 309 bus and stop at Onici. You will have to walk straight down until you’re near the sea - it will take you about 20mins. If you have a car, you can go directly 1) until you see a lot of cars parked 2) go past the rough road. Either way, you will see a ‘natural’ staircase. Follow it. You can rent sunbeds and umbrella but there are no restrooms or shower area. The water is refreshing and clear when we went there and there is a covered area where you can swim under the shade. There is also an area for kids but the water goes deeper as you swim in the middle. People dive in this area. I would also recommend wearing aqua shoes as the stones are quite painful to walk with barefoot.
Rosemarie T — Google review
Takes about 10 minutes to walk down from where our uber could drop us. We decided against a swim as we thought the water looked quite dirty. I do REALLY recommend however walking along the coast from here to the next beach along across the salt pans, incredible geology and stunning cliff top views, very easy and flat walk right to next destination and takes about 30 mins

Visitors can relax on the beautiful golden sands or explore the remains of a Roman villa nearby. For those looking to explore more of the archipelago, sailing trips are available to visit other islands and snorkeling spots.
The beach was beautiful, filled with vibrant colours such as the red-orange sands and bright blue waters. The sand was so soft. The area seemed to be very well maintained as there was no litter around. The water was cool and it was pleasant to dip my toes in. However, in the water the floor was full of rocks so I would recommend wearing some type of flip flops. This was an amazing place to go to especially at sunset time as the views were amazing and the beach was pretty empty.

One of the best beaches in Malta and Gozo everall. I visited this beach on a very windy day with big waves and even the red flag raised. Still, some people were swimming. The beach was a bit crowded but very clean, and the sand felt incredibly soft.

A very picturesque beach with an unusual sand color, almost like clay. There are umbrellas and sunbeds for €7 each. At the entrance, there is a toilet. You can also find a café to grab a snack or buy water. There are no changing facilities. The entrance to the sea is over rocks, but it’s very shallow and gradual, making it great for snorkeling.

Ramla Bay truly took our breath away — it’s unlike any other beach we’ve seen in Malta or Gozo. The deep golden-red sand feels soft underfoot, and the wide open space gives it a peaceful, untouched vibe. Surrounded by green hills and natural beauty, it’s the perfect mix of sea and countryside. The beach is family-friendly, with gentle waves and shallow water ideal for kids. There are public toilets, a small café, and sunbed rentals, making it easy to spend hours here comfortably. This may be the most hidden of Gozo’s many gems. An incomparable experience of authentic Gozitan wine, food, history, and culture was had here. My wife and I were offered immeasurable hospitality and generosity as we were treated to Ħobż biż-żejt (bread with sweet tomato paste and olive oil), a wide variety of locally-produced red and white wine, Gozitan cheese, and gluten free sweets (my wife is celiac). As lovers of wine, we can say that this multi-generational family of grape-growers and wine-makers is producing some of the finest wine at the best prices on Gozo. Of equal quality is their homemade tomato pastes, jellies and jams, and sweet treats. Do not pass by their unassuming store front—there is excellence within.

We came on a Saturday afternoon, visited the farm and listened to Joseph share about the family history and experiences of running the Ta Mena Estate. It's evident that it's a hard business to run, especially with the high standards of organic production that they have. Basilica Rotunda St. John Baptist Church, a well-known Catholic church established in 1678, boasts impressive stone architecture and sculpture. Its revered rotunda, paintings, and marble floors are noteworthy attractions. Visitors can take a lift to the roof for a complete view of the island including Comino and Malta at a cost of 3 euros. Climbing to the bells is also an option but not recommended when they are ringing due to its deafening impact.
This is the biggest church in Gozo and boasts the third largest unsupported dome in the world. It's so beautiful, and 3 weeks ago, the scaffolding got stuck by lighting and 100k of damage. The lift was out of order when we went. The Xewkija rotunda, dedicated to St. John the Baptist is the largest church in Gozo. The colossal church is an exceedingly large circular structure in white local limestone, its elegant dome supported by eight columns representing the eight beatitudes. Ix-Xewkija is one of the oldest villages of Gozo and took the status of a parish as early as 1678. Years later, a parish church dedicated to St. John the Baptist was erected and consecrated in 1755. After the 2nd World War, the parishioners – traditionally known for their building skills and craftsmanship in Maltese stone

One of the beautiful basilicas in Gozo. Its large unsupported dome is the main attraction. One has to be modestly dressed to visit the church. I was wearing a sleeveless top so had to cover my arms with a white piece of cloth provided by the church.

We visited the Rotunda of St. John the Baptist and found it to be a beautiful church with very interesting architecture. The church was renovated in 1951 (if I remember correctly). To enjoy the full panorama, you need to pay €3 per adult for the elevator that takes you up to the 3rd floor. Children go for free. The view from the top is truly stunning. However, the area upstairs is not well maintained, there was some mess, one statue was damaged, and there were bricks and construction materials lying around. Still, it’s a very nice experience for just a small price.

It's a church built within a church, great history, one could climb onto the rotunda by means of a lift against a small fee of 3 euros. Visitors can witness inscriptions and drawings left by cellmates in the 19th century, offering a unique perspective on life within its walls.
Bought the Cittadella Combo Ticket. €13 adults/ €9 seniors and students with proof of student ID / €7 children under 11. This price bought entrance to the Cittadella Visitor’s Center, Gozo Museum of Archaeology, The Old Prison, Gozo Nature Museum and the Gran Castello Historic House. All of these places were visited and the grounds were walked within a period of two and a half hours without any stops for bathroom, coffee or food. There are plenty of bathrooms and areas to eat, drink or snack. The Old Prison is a rather small exhibit with a wealth of information. It is well worth visiting to learn who was held here, why, when, and how they lived. There is a small gift shop near the entry. It took twenty minutes to walk through the exhibit during an off season.

The museum is very basic, though I found the little information available quite interesting. It took around 10 mins to look around the prison. It was free as part of the combined ticket (see below). You can go in one of the prison cells, and see into a couple more (the entire prison is 6 cells, two hallways, and another open air room. Entry to the museum is €5 on its own (not good value) or €13 as part of a combined ticket that includes 5 Citadella museums (Citadella visitor centre), museum of archaeology, old prison, Gran Castillo historic house, and nature museum) as well as the Ggantija Archeological park (€10 on its own, making the combined ticket worthwhile) and Ta Kola windmill.

Small but nice bit of history to see, the whole area is free for the most part and the small cost to go into a couple of the buildings was worth it.

This museum was included in the very advantageous and recommended thirty day Heritage Malta Multisite Pass. It was worth visiting while at the Citadel, with some interesting historical context and graffiti in the cell.

Not very big, but still worth a visit and a photo in the stocks!

Small passage between prison cells, you can go inside one, there are old markings, writings and sketches of ships, very interesting, whole experice takes max 10 minutes. Not bad, but also not missing out on anything special. Entrance fee is 5 euros, is valid for 2 more museums in the citadel ( but not the cathedral ). Museums are very small.

Well preserved old prison with original graffiti on the wall

I personally love in historical sites the « people like me lived here once » vibe. This is a place like this. What I loved about it is that you get to see all the graffiti’s that cellmates from the 19th century drew into the wall, that is pretty amazing if you are into this kind of things

Nestled within the historic Citadel in Victoria, the Gozo Museum of Archaeology invites visitors to delve into the island's captivating past. Housed in a beautifully restored 17th-century townhouse that once belonged to the Bondi family, this museum showcases an impressive array of artifacts that span from prehistoric times through to the medieval era. Each exhibit is thoughtfully curated, offering insights into Gozo's rich cultural heritage and early civilizations.
The Citadel is an interesting place to visit. Walking through the narrow historic streets and looking at the Victoria skyline is an unforgettable adventure. The archaeological museum is worth seeing.

The museum has poor exhibits and not great information. It took around 10 mins to traverse. It was free as part of the combined ticket (see below), but I think it's not worth the time unless you have a significant interest in archaeology.

Ramla Bay is a stunning sandy beach located on the east side of Gozo, Malta. Known for its large expanse of red sand, it is often considered one of the best beaches in the area. During summer, it can get quite crowded due to its popularity. The warm and clear waters of the Mediterranean make it an ideal spot for swimming and sunbathing. Visitors can easily access the beach by local transit or on foot, enjoying breathtaking views along the way.
Beautiful beach with orange sand. The beach is not completely crowded, but be prepared to walk for a while to find a spot. Lifeguards are present at the beach. There is a possibility to hike up the cliffs beside the beach in order to reach a cave. This journey gives a spectacular view of the whole Ramla Bay. Just come prepared with proper footwear for the journey.

It's a smallish beach split into 2. But it is sand and easy to walk into the sea which was amazing. Warm and exciting waves. There's a couple of restaurants and public toilets and a shower. The bus was convenient but popular. I would love to come back.
Louise L — Google review
Highly recommend taking a ride on the hop on hop off shuttle which drops you off at the top of the beach where you can walk to the Mixta Cave. After a 15 min walk to the cave you can drop down a trail right onto the beach. The cafe at Ramla makes fresh seafood and snacks. Great soft sandy beach to hang out at for a few hours.

As beaches go, this was one of the prettiest ones.I have seen here. The day that we were there. The wind was so violent that there was red flags flying. However a lot of people were in the ocean they do have lifeguards watching over which obviously ignored the red flags. The sand is a deep caramel color it looks like crushed up biscuff cookies!!! The wonderful thing is that it has facilities bathrooms and showers and a small restaurant which we did not try. There is a company of men that put up lounge chairs and umbrellas add a cost. Write outside of the beach. We also found a very\nIndustrious man that obviously used his land for a parking for a fee of two euros. There are also several outlets with bathing suits and floaties and things like that if you forgot yours. The road to get there was a little bit harrowing for those of us that don't drive On the left hand of the road because the streets are very narrow and they are two way streets!!! Put all in all a very nice experience. HowEver there are a lot of rocks in the sand so it's hard to figure out where to put your towel if you decide not to get one of the deck chairs!
Noelle M — Google review
This was a truly delightful spot to spend a pleasant afternoon, where you could fully enjoy the entire ocean and the beach. The cave itself was an incredibly adventurous and truly unique natural wonder that you simply don't usually encounter at your typical beach. We are genuinely grateful that we took the time to go take a look up there and spend time at the beach.

A beautiful sandy beach. Definitely worth the effort to get there. Umbrellas and chairs for rent. Public showers and bathrooms are available.

Lovely place to swim. The watter is shallow for maybe 10 metres, but always pay attention. Can be crowded sometimes and the sunbeds and umbrellas are going for around 7 euro each.

The Gran Castello Historic House is a collection of interconnected 16th and 18th-century homes that offer a glimpse into historical life on the island. The museum showcases exhibits on trades, crafts, and hobbies from centuries past. Visitors can explore fully furnished period houses, learn about local folklore and history, and admire the stunning architecture. The museum provides an excellent explanation of the way of life during that time period and offers beautiful views from its location in Citadella Ir-Rabat.
Bought the Cittadella Combo Ticket. €13 adults/ €9 seniors and students with proof of student ID / €7 children under 11. There are bedrooms, kitchens, baby rooms, etc. if you enjoy period furniture and imagining the lives of the people before you, then you will enjoy this exhibit. You must traverse steps. We went on an off season so there wasn’t that much traffic but during high tourist period I can imagine it would be more difficult to get past people in the hallways unless they restrict and control the number of visitors entering and exiting. There is a video in the bedroom that runs continuously. The rooms open up onto a beautiful vista and garden. A bathroom is within this area. It is a lovely spot.

This is a charming little museum tucked away in the side streets near the entrance to the basilica in Victoria. Lovely friendly welcome with a brief explanation particularly of a local artist who had made pictures out of smashed ceramics and glass. These were incredible artistry and such a skill to have to produce such pictures of such high quality. Very clean and bright throughout with toilets available and free entry too (voluntary donations on exit but no pressure) -loved it!

Amazing - free, but donations appreciated. Multilevel historical building of rooms filled with local historical and religion related artefacts chronologically telling story of Malta and Maltese part in global historical events. Space is used also as an art gallery, currently with stunning exhibition proving that creative mind can create beauty by upcycling discarded porcelain (mugs and plates), jewellery and even zippers. One can easily spend hours here admiring and learning. Will definitely visit again.

Beautifully curated art, clerical items, ancient coins and even a prehistoric skull. No entrance fees but donations are accepted - and totally worth a token of appreciation. There’s also a caffè on the roof however we preferred to walk 2 minutes to the village square.

Fantastic shop. Excellent guides. Expert knowledge of diving in Gozo and anticipate the needs of technical divers. We had a fun time diving with their fleet DPVs as well! They even gave us the option to do some boat diving to break up the shore dives. They were very flexible too in terms of dive locations and always had a backup plan in case the wind wasn’t cooperating. They were not just professional but they were also so much fun to spend time with. Can’t wait to come back and do it all over again!!!

Enol M — Google review
Gozo Technical Diving left us with a disappointing experience after a 6-day diving trip with 4 divers, including 3 CCR divers and 1 OC diver. We had clearly communicated in advance that we wanted to dive on historical wrecks, which was initially confirmed for around €500 per dive. However, upon arrival, the price suddenly increased to €750, and it had to be split between more divers, who eventually showed up only at the end of the 5th diving day, and didn’t even want to do a wreck dive. This led to poor planning and unmet expectations. The owner, Tom Steiner, didn't seem enthusiastic. He showed little involvement, didn’t ask about our experiences, and didn’t offer any tips or advice. Despite paying for unguided dives on top of the equipment rental, there was a clear lack of passion and customer service. For the price you pay, you expect better organization and service. Fortunately, the rest of the staff was friendly, and we met other divers on site. However, the promised wreck dive with the boat never happened. Overall, it was poorly managed by Mr. Steiner, who seemed to prefer smoking his cigarettes at the dive center rather than engaging with his clients.

Il-Qolla l-Bajda Battery is an abandoned old fort that was once used as a nightclub and now lies in disrepair. Despite its current state, the building offers an intriguing exploration opportunity, although it's not entirely safe to enter. The surrounding views are breathtaking, with stunning scenery and rock formations filled with water. Located near other scenic spots like the Salt Pans and Weid il-Ghasri, this former battery provides a unique and non-touristy experience for adventurous travelers.
Very nice area on the water to walk around. The salt pans encircle the fort building and make for nice photography. Take care to not slip otherwise you'll be going home with soaked shoes or worse all your clothes. Walk all the way around the fort and up the beach for more scenery. If you need to, there is a small public bathroom near the entrance of the parking lot, down the stairs to the boat launch area.

Beautiful place and amazing views. It was built in the early 18th century as a coastal artillery battery and used as a World War II observation post, currently abandoned and in a state of disrepair, but a recent agreement has been made for preservation and restoration efforts by Heritage Malta. Perfect place for pictures… with stunning views.
Erick D — Google review
A crumbling artillery fort near the salt pans. Definitely worth visiting if you're also going to the salt pans, but I probably wouldn't trek over just to see this.
Tom H — Google review
Somewhat run down, and you don't seem to be able to go inside anymore. You get nice views along the coast, but the main reason to visit isn't the battery itself, but the much older salt pans all around the outside it (the Salinas de Qolla I-Bajda - see separate listing on Google Maps).
John B — Google review
This old artillery battery is definitely worth a visit during great weather. Although entering the building itself seemed to be off limits, the scenery and views were stunning, especially with the small rock formations or pans that were filled to the brim with water. Whether you choose to stay on the cliffs or go down to the rocks and see the bay, this spot is worth it thanks to it’s close proximity to other great scenic spots.

Gozo, also known as Ghawdex Awdesch by locals, is a laid-back Mediterranean island that is part of the Maltese archipelago. It is the second largest of the three islands and is just a short ferry ride away from mainland Malta. The island features a diverse landscape with flat-topped hills, rugged cliffs, deep valleys, and beautiful inlets. Gozo embraces rural characteristics and is ideal for fishing and agricultural activities.

Mgarr Harbour serves as the gateway to Gozo Island, being the main point of arrival for ferries and boats from Malta. The harbor features the picturesque Mgarr Marina, where numerous sailboats and yachts are moored. Upon disembarking from the ferry, visitors can take a short stroll to the marina's edge for an up-close view of the boats. The well-organized port offers various facilities and amenities, including taxis and public transport for island exploration.
The harbor is beautiful, with many boats coming in and out. Gozo Fast Ferry leaves here as well as the big ferry. The architecture all around the harbor is grand, so beautiful to look at. The harbor is easy to get to - we have taken the bus, an uber, and have even walked down from the village of Nadur.
Theresa J — Google review
We used Bolt cars to get to the Gozo Ferry and crossed as foot passengers. At Mgarr we took the open too hop on hop off bus, which we liked up right outside the ferry terminal. We had tickets for the Red bus, which we bought at the terminal on Malta, there is also a green bus, operated by a different company. We got off the bus twice, once at Ta Pinu church and Xlendi Bay where we had lunch at the Moby Dick restaurant. Last leg back to Mgarr for the boat back to Malta, the buses are about 45 minutes apart and they give you wired earbuds to hear the commentary which is interesting.

We arrived with speed boat and returned with the big boat to Malta. Both docking in the same harbour. The logistics were smooth and the harbour was pretty. We found both taxis and public transportation readily available at the harbour.

Start and end point! Many a visit to Gozo begins or ends in Mģarr Harbour. It is a lively marina and ferry port that has been guarded by Fort de Chambray since the early 1760s. Most people only drive on or off the ferry here, but if you like fresh fish, you can indulge yourself here.
Koen — Google review

Mgarr Harbor – Gozo Mgarr Harbor is more than just a place the ferries come to. It is an active harbor where fish is brought in daily. The harbor is where one of the two bus terminuses on the island of Gozo is located. You can book a boat to go to the Blue Lagoon or around the islands of Comino and Gozo. We love the harbor for all the great restaurants located there. It is home to one of the only Michelin restaurants in Gozo, Tmun. This establishment offers fresh fish caught that morning from the local fishermen and a great variety of Mediterranean dishes. Jon’s next to the Ferry building is a great, inexpensive diner. Try the crispy chicken you will like it and love the price even more. You can get one of the best Gin and Tonics on the island at Glen Eagles Bar, which overlooks the harbor. A favorite restaurant of ours is Sammy’s. Sammy’s serves some of the best seafood on Gozo without the frills of a fancy restaurant at budget-friendly prices. Mgarr has a vast variety of restaurants and bars for every taste. Burgers, Chinese food, Mexican, fried chicken, and the best kiosk on the island, Fuli Kiosk. Amazing food at unbelievable prices. Mgarr is where you can start one of the best walks on the island as well. It takes you from the harbor all the way to Xlendi Bay, with fantastic views of the sea and the beautiful Cliffs of Sannt and Ta’ Cenc. Come to the harbor and spend some time there. You will have a great day of it!
Kevin S — Google review
Mgarr harbour is entrance gate to Gozo Island. Smaller but very well organized port with all the facilities. There are also taxis and public transport available to get you around the island. Nonetheless, you can also find there various bars and restaurants in the nearby area so the wait time can be spent there. Overall positive experience with this port.

The Cittadella, often called the Citadel, to be the magnificent, fortified crown jewel perched high above Gozo's capital, Victoria. This ancient city offers one of the most essential cultural experiences in the Maltese archipelago, and I would say a visit here is mandatory for any traveler to Gozo. Its primary draw, however, is the incredible 360-degree panoramic view. I had the privilege of walking the ramparts at night, which truly enhanced the whole experience. From up there, I could effortlessly trace the sparkling lights of the entire island, taking in the dark rural valleys and scattered villages, feeling a real sense of fun and awe as the Mediterranean Sea stretched out into the distance. The photo opportunities, even after dark, were unparalleled, and the view alone justified the journey up. Historically, walking its narrow, limestone-lined streets immediately transported me back centuries. Inside the formidable walls, I explored the stunning Baroque Gozo Cathedral and several excellent small museums (like the Gozo Museum of Archaeology). While much of the city has undergone significant restoration, giving it a somewhat pristine and modern feel in places, the vast scale and the rich historical narrative remain firmly intact. It's a beautifully preserved monument that perfectly encapsulates Gozo’s spirit and offers a fantastic blend of history, architecture, and unparalleled scenic beauty, truly making it the undeniable heart of Gozo.

Visited on a sunny afternoon and it’s easily one of the most striking spots in Gozo. The views from the top are panoramic—rolling hills, rooftops, and sea in the distance. The restored stonework and winding paths give it a timeless feel, but it’s also well-maintained and easy to explore. Not crowded when we went, which made it feel even more special. Great for a slow wander, a few photos, and soaking up the history without the usual tourist rush. Definitely worth the climb.

Beautiful Cittadella, free to enter and walk around. Try and avoid the middle, these streets were designed to be complicated and difficult to find your way out. Best to walk up the street on the left hand side of the church, walk along the side of the church to the far wall then up the stairs onto the ramparts, this will bring you back around to the clock tower at the front entrance. You will get plenty of photos up there. Not for those who don't like heights.

It was an amazing opportunity to explore this major landmark in Victoria. To learn about the Cittadella is also to learn the history of this country. I recommend checking out the museums if you want an immersive experience, because there are a lot of places to visit in such a tiny city. Nearby the walls, you can see almost the entire island and parts of Comino and Malta, because the Cittadella was build on high ground.
Luiz M — Google review
The Citadel is worth a visit but beware there are steps involved and the lift was out of order due to that section being renovated. Once in there you will find lots of artifacts and the views are beautiful.
Trevor P — Google review
It’s a must. If you enjoy history and culture and visiting small but interesting museums this is the place along with gift shops and places to get cold drinks also there are some public toilets.

Qbajjar Playground is a small but well-maintained play area in Malta, offering a nice place for children to have fun. It features soft rubber tiles throughout the playground and is located near Three Hills Garden Playground, which offers different play structures for kids. Additionally, visitors can enjoy a pleasant walk or jog in the area and indulge in delicious meals at a nearby restaurant.
Nice place for a walk or a jog, playground for children, also a good restaurant which serves pizza & other meals ...nearby is Marsalforn Bay, Qbajjar Bay & Xwejni Bay for a nice swim in Summer

One off the many playgrounds in Malta, other countries could learn a lot. Small but well maintained. Soft rubber tiles on the whole playground. Our son loved it.

Not an enclosed playground - there are safer ones that have fences between the playground and the road

The place seems to have been recently rehabilitated and provides good fun for children.

The Stations of the Cross walk is located on Ta Ghammar Hill, just in front of Ta Pinu. The uphill walk takes about 20-30 minutes and features statues depicting the stations of the cross. The climb is steep at first, so it's recommended to take it easy and wear suitable footwear. As you ascend, you'll enjoy panoramic views over Ta' Pinu, Gharb, St Lawrenz, and the entire island.
A fantastic, unplanned walk just before sunset on Easter Monday. The path is difficult and steep, if unfit, but a few pauses combined with perseverance is worth it. A very thought provoking and spiritual experience.
Michael F — Google review
The walk is challenging, but there are places to rest along the way. The views are overwhelming and the hike feels very spiritual (to me at least.) Sculptures are very emotive, depicting the 12 stations. If you wear good shoes and take your time, it is a sight you shouldn't miss if in the area.
Theresa J — Google review
A pleasant short walk up the hill. Loved the way the stations were situated - you never see more than one, so you're always wondering, when the next one will appear. The top of the hill offers great views of the Ta'Pinu and all of Gozo. We were lucky we visited on a windy day, so the walk up the hill wasn't too exhausting in the heat.
Adam L — Google review
Well worth the visit. Be warned, the climb starts quite steeply, so take it easy if you're not fit and avoid in the height of summer unless it's early morning. Take some water and wear suitable footwear (definitely not flipflops). The climb levels out after the first seven stations or so and you really get to appreciate the view, first over Ta' Pinu, Gharb and St Lawrenz and then fully panoramic over the whole island and beyond. Don't forget your camera! The amphitheater (although modern) is impressive and must be a terrific venue when in use. The descent is much easier, but take care as there are a few slippy sections where the rain has eroded the path. So don't rush and keep an eye on where you place your feet. The whole walk can be completed comfortably in about an hour. Apologies for my practical and non-religious review. I invite someone better informed to do justice to all the beautiful statues.
Peter W — Google review
I was quite dissaponted. Statues (being created sometime in 1980s) looks like from some fairy-tale (they have minimal art value). The path itself is not maintained at all, half of the corridor is already blocked by grown bushes. I'm giving 3 starts at least for the nice views from the top.
Vít H — Google review
Very nice sculptures. Loved the experience as you need to climb a hill to reach each station.
Simona P — Google review
Small walk uphill that brings you in contact with real life statues at each station of the cross. Take the road just opposite ta' Pinu church. Religion culture and nature intertwined.
Stephen G — Google review
Life Changing walking up was breath taking I felt like I wasn't on a journey up the hill I felt like the Jesus was taking me on his journey.

Scenic spot
Nestled at the top of the harbour hill, Lunzjata Valley Belvedere offers a breathtaking panorama that stretches over the sparkling waters towards Comino and northern Malta. If you find yourself with half an hour to spare, particularly during the enchanting Winter or Spring months, this serene spot is well worth a visit. While it may not boast numerous attractions, its picturesque valley, charming old chapel, and intriguing caves provide a delightful backdrop for exploration.
If you have 30 minutes to spare, especially in Winter / Spring, it is a lovely place to visit. There is not much to see and do, but the valley and the old chapel and caves are worth visiting. Maybe even before a lunch or a stroll down Xlendi. There are a few fields with crops being grown. We enjoyed it!

Absolutely fantastic boat trip with 2 lovely people running it. Very informative and great that we were told about each point, and how fabulous is Blue Lagoon!! Would definitely recommend and will be doing again if back in Malta/ Gozo
Lily F — Google review
Great tour. Raymond is very kind and enthusiastic. The wind made it too hard to go around Gozo, but the alternartive might have been even better. We went around Comino Island and we had the best views on places like Lovers Bay, Crystal Lagoon and Popeye's Cave and of course the beautiful Blue Lagoon, where we could swim and snorkle and at one other bay. I forgot the name of it. But great stop, My son climbed on the shore and managed to climb in a cave and went through a hole on the top of the island.

Great trip, well worth the money. Boat was comfortable and lunch was good. They had to re arrange the trip due to high seas but was still very enjoyable. Crew were friendly and helpful. Would recommend.

Great tour. Raymond is a professional who takes great care of his customers. On my tour a woman got extremely seasick and we had to return to Marsalforn, still he made sure that we didn't miss out on anything and extended the tour. The stops are well planned, lunch was great. Gozo is spectacular and the cherry on top is Comino's blue lagoon.
