Ta' Dbiegi Crafts Village in Gozo was once used as soldiers quarters for the British military, but now it's a hub for local artisans offering hand-made products, workshops, and private sessions. The village is known for its variety of crafts including leather goods, pottery, glass items, and local treats like ice cream and honey. Visitors can explore the clean and welcoming stores selling unique artisanal pieces.
Love the food, wsn't expecting this nice as we were just after the leather and craft shop but food tastes amazing! Friendly staff too. Visiting here for more than an hour is worth it

It was written to open till 18h and I visited 16:30, all the shop were already closed. It was so sad. They looked very nice. But the ice cream shop was open and I entered. It was so tasty. They were also selling some sweets, and it looks nice.
Ame M — Google review
Local arts and crafts by artisans. You can also find local products like salt, jams, alcohol and sweet wines. It was quiet and not crowded when we visited. Many patrons were locals. We enjoyed some excellent drinks and pastries at Angele Patisserie & Confiserie.
Pyrognats — Google review
Beautiful craft work is being produced there. We loved the metal and the ceramic place. The café is also amazing, so many cakes options and gelato.
Tatiana S — Google review
Great place to visit. I always like to visit whenever I go to Gozo. A must place to visit is the Inkwina workshop where you can see the manufacture of art from metal. The concept is quite original and innovative. The owner is super nice. The Crafts village has also other good places to visit such as jewellery, food sellers and leather products. Recommended. The place could do with some investment to embellish the area. Otherwise the place is quite unique.
Oliver F — Google review
What a lovely little spot to stop and walk around, possibly purchase some hand crafted gifts or have a coffee with a pastry. We stopped for a short while and watched the glass blower making a vase. Also, the leather maker created some purse before having a coffee and a tasty treat.
M V — Google review
Ta' Dbiegi is a lovely little arts, crafts and souvenirs village in Gozo which is very well known, there's lovely ornaments and treats you can get from here, from leather, pottery, glass and even lovely ice cream and local honey, herbs and spices. All the stores are super clean and welcoming. There are toilet at the back which are super clean. I do recommend if your in Gozo come check out this cool well known Crafts village.
NURDIN W — Google review
Cute artisan village but for some reason multiple vendors had a problem with other customers touching products. Maybe they expect people to buy first? Strange. Worth a visit to see the artisan work being done on site though.

Nestled in the charming village of Gharb, the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Blessed Virgin of Ta' Pinu is a stunning example of Neo-Romantic architecture that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding sea. This revered site has been a pilgrimage destination since 1883 when a local woman reported hearing the voice of the Virgin Mary.
A truly special and peaceful place. The Ta’ Pinu Basilica is not only beautiful from the outside with its stunning architecture, but the inside has a calming, spiritual atmosphere. The story behind it — of a local woman hearing the Virgin Mary’s voice in the 1880s — makes the place feel even more meaningful. There are rooms full of heartfelt messages and thank-yous from people all over the world. If you have time, walk up the nearby hill with the Stations of the Cross — the views are amazing. Definitely worth a visit whether you’re religious or just appreciate history and quiet places.
Mat B — Google review
Beautiful Basilica. Take the time to walk around. Sad to see all of the items in the shrine rooms. Walk up the hill opposite to see marble statues and get a great view if you ignore the crane 😊
Julie F — Google review
Very nice enormous basilica with a touching story emblematic of the history and culture of Malta. Eminently walkable area and along many tour bus routes for a 10-minute photo stop. Highly recommend walking around outside and inside to catch all the gems of this wonderful place!
Danielle O — Google review
This a beautiful Catholic Shrine of Blessed irgin Mary. The story of the church and Shrine is uniquely beautiful. The church has been build out of small Chapel where the picture of Mother Mary of TA' PINU is located. Inside is the gallery with pictures and letters of all miracles and healing that took place as of Mother Mary and Frances. The basilica is very peaceful inside. The church is not open at all times. Modesty is necessary when coming to holy space like Shrine.
Viola M — Google review
Must visit place Mosaic work is awesome at entrance. Church is quite different to all others in terms of interior architecture and design.
Chalapathi M — Google review
Another amazing architectural wonder. Such a scared site and a blessing to experience this powerful space. So cool to check out even though I am not religious but rather spiritual.
Luke L — Google review
A truly breathtaking church in Gozo. The architecture is stunning inside and out, with incredible attention to detail. You can really feel the history and spirituality as soon as you walk in – it has such a peaceful and moving atmosphere. A must-visit if you’re exploring Gozo, whether for faith, history, or just to admire its beauty.
Sofie S — Google review
The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Blessed Virgin of Ta' Pinu, nestled in the peaceful Gozitan countryside, is undoubtedly an impressive neo-Romanesque structure. I enjoyed visiting the site, and its architectural grandeur, particularly the towering bell tower and the beautiful mosaics outside, certainly make for a visually striking destination. It has a compelling history rooted in local tradition, dating back to a 19th-century peasant who allegedly heard the voice of the Virgin Mary in the original, much smaller chapel, which now sits behind the main altar. While the atmosphere is serene and it holds immense religious importance for the Maltese, beyond the stunning facade and the interesting back story, the visit itself wasn't a supremely unforgettable experience compared to some other world-class pilgrimage sites. Nevertheless, it is a significant cultural and spiritual landmark on the island of Gozo.

Chapel
Chapel of St. Dimitri is a small, beautifully restored chapel located in the Gozitan countryside, offering excellent views and a serene atmosphere. It holds historical significance as it was once the house of Carmela Grima, who played a pivotal role in the creation of Ta'Pinu Basilica. The chapel also features a small museum that provides insights into rural life in the 19th century.
Amazing experience in the lite festival here
Nancy C — Google review
A quiet little chapel out in the countryside, with a small picnic area outside offering views across the surrounding farmland and out to the lighthouse and Ta' Pinu basilica beyond. The chapel itself is fairly plain compared to many bigger churches on Gozo, and the gates were locked when I was there, although the outer door could be opened to have a peek inside through the bars. According to signs nearby, "San Mitri" is the subject of local legends, and was "invoked by devotees to deliver them from abduction by pirates"! Worth a stop if you're hiking or driving through the area. From here you can carry on to Birbuba to the west or Wied il-Mielaħ to the east.
John B — Google review
Nice small chapel. Great to start your walk in Gharb from there.

Wied il-Mielaħ is a scenic rock formation by the sea resembling a window that can be reached through a long stairway with handrails. While it's challenging to access, visitors can enjoy the stunning view of the crystal-clear water reflecting the sunshine through the blue window. The best time to visit is in the morning or at noon before shadows form due to westward sunsets. The high cliffs and deep blue waters offer an incredible view that one must experience for an extended period.
It may remind a bit of Azure Window, but in any case another beautiful place in Gozo that you should not miss. The road by car is a bit narrower, but not stressful, at the end you will also find a parking space 😁. You can enjoy breathtaking views, this is definitely worth it. I am more worried that climbers and turists will gradually disturb this place and it will collapse like its more famous brother in 2017, which would be a shame.
Peter S — Google review
Beautiful! Haven't got a chance to see Azure Window when it was still above the ground, but I think Wied il-Mielah is a nice "replacement". It's amazing, the view made me breathtakingly calm ❤️ You can make a lunch break there as well! ☀️☺️☀️ I recommend walking in Gozo, in general, but especially to this place. It's nice to go with the bus to Zebbug and from there walk to Wied il-Gharsi (amazing) and then to wied il-mielah and from there to Gharb or San Lawrenz to take a bus back. And for those who really like to walk It's nice to go from wied il-mielah to the "sunsets cliffs" (probably through Gharb) most beautiful spot and by the cliffs It's a nice walk down to Dwejra Bay, but this route is for Island explorers, highly recommended for everyone tho. Cheers, see you at the cliffs 💃 (Video is from a really windy day, don't be scared 😅)
Maja G — Google review
...I can’t find a word good enough to describe Malta’s stunning nature. Wied il-Mielah stands out with its beautiful coastal cliffs… a true rest for the soul and body…
Tanja B — Google review
Spectacular stone arch that you can walk out across on the left side of the valley (best to do this first, if you don't like heights), with a narrow staircase on the right side leading down to a great view of what's beneath where you were just standing (or not). It's an easy walk and there's parking nearby. If you go past the top of the stairs instead, out to the edge, then follow the clifftop around to the right, there's a ledge a couple of meters wide that you can walk along to see a huge cave a little further along the coast. Back at the car park, there's a road to the east that takes you along the cliffs to Wied il-Għasri, which is also well worth a visit.
John B — Google review
It was an interesting drive to get there. It's a really fun one :)) The place itself is beautiful, easy to get to. There are stairs that go down, they're well made and safe.
Aurėja M — Google review
Walk the trail down the side of the cliff. You are limited in view as it is blocked off towards the end Because it has become eroded, but still a wonderful view.
Jonesphoto_91 P — Google review
A fantastic geological experience, a truly wonderful visit to this rock formation that 30 million years ago was the seabed, if you look carefully you will find millions of fossils buried in the rock on which you walk. You can also take a walk down a staircase to view the Weid IL Mielah window
Stephen S — Google review
Very beautiful landscape and veiw over the sea and surounding cliffs. The Window looks like on the end of the world. It is also good for climbing. In that part of the island you can see a lot of cliffs over 50m heigh.

Bay
Dwejra Inland Sea is a must-visit destination in Gozo, offering a unique swimming experience akin to being in a natural pool. Visitors can enjoy swimming and cliffside walks, with snack bars and mobile catering available, as well as public conveniences for convenience. Accessible by bus from the Gozo ferry terminal to Victoria bus station and then the 311, it's easily reachable for a day of fun in the sun.
An absolutely hidden gem of Malta. This inland sea is gorgeous and full of families and people having fun - whether that be boat tours through the caverns that go out to the sea, or the divers on the edges of the surrounding cliffs.
Sam P — Google review
This was disappointing after all the positive reviews. The inland sea is surrounded by run down buildings and was very rough on the day we visited. There aren’t really any places to sunbathe and there isn’t much else to see or do in Dwejra. I expect it is much nicer when the sea is calm.
Ben J — Google review
A day for swimming and walking the cliffs nearby will leave you exillerated. A very good day can be had here. Snack bars and mobile catering on offer, together with necessary public conveniences. Get the bus from Gozo ferry terminal to Victoria bus station and from there the 311. It doesn't take long. Go when the sun shines. You will need some protection from the sun.
Vincent J — Google review
Not to be missed in Gozo, my favourite over there with Ramla Bay. Looks like a lake but it's actually a beach. The boat that goes through the cave to open sea is very inexpensive and the people nice. Just a short bus ride from Victoria. If you are looking for a not too touristy place, this is it.
Luca C — Google review
Fantastic place in Gozo. Game of Thrones was being filmed Here, no wonder why! Amazing view. Easy reachable by public transport. Free beach, nice water.
Danijela R — Google review
If you don't come here you are not going to believe. For a ridiculous price (4 euro) you will see a blue (for real) portion of Mediterranean sea passing through small caves
Luca A — Google review
This is the nicest place in Gozo I was at. It's worth taking the boat trip through the cave and around the cliffs.
M — Google review
Nice bay for a swim. On a calm day you can swim through the cave into the sea - but be warned, the sea can get choppy and the cave rocks are very rough. There's a small pebble beach to relax on. Likely very busy in tourist season. Worth a quick look.

Ta' Ġurdan Lighthouse, also known as Il-Fanal ta' Ġurdan, is a must-visit landmark in Ghasri, Gozo. The lighthouse offers epic views of the island and its surroundings. It's recommended to visit as part of a trail that includes other attractions like Ta' Pinu, San Dimitri Chapel, and Wied il Mielaħ.
Fantastic view. Although there is road works, we were lucky to meet local guy who advised us not to be afraid of the fence. And just go around it. See the photos. I would be afraid to do so at working day, as the workers would not probably allow us to pas the fence and the dozer, also see photos. This paid off a lot! Very nice view from the top. And in February when all the flowers smell so nice , it was fantastic visit. Lighthouse is not accessible, btw.
PAVEL Č — Google review
This place deserves more care from the Gozo officials. The path up there is in horrible state (it looked like they might be building wider and tarmac road?) Place itself is full of rubbish (as many other places all over Malta). I would recommend building better road/path up there and keep the area cleaner. I was the onl visitor. Stunning views from up there are improving my rating - 4 stars overall.
Vít H — Google review
Parking and access pavement still under construction. It is not possible to reach the top of the hill. But it is still worth visiting for a view from the highest possible point.
Zdeněk M — Google review
Giordan Light house, this place is a must while you're in gozo, from up here you will have some epic views of Gozo. Apart from the light house there are also some British era structures. Can be a nice trail visiting ta Pinu, San Dimitri Chapel, wied il mielaħ and giordan lighthouse. If tracking I don't suggest to be done in summer time. This place is partly accessible also by car. But its a nice e bike ride cause the Elevation is challenging.
Omar B — Google review
The view is breath-taking and there is a nice long hilly walk.
Elizabeth G — Google review
Excellent view. Interesting vandalism on the cactus on the way up. Worth the walk. Keep your kids by you as there is a couple of cliffs !!!

Beautiful place for a visit and the views, really enjoyable walk!

Gharb Rangers Bar & Restaurant is a popular dining spot in Gharb, Gozo. It's known for its relaxing atmosphere and delicious food. The restaurant is located in a beautiful setting, surrounded by gardens in a 200-year-old converted farmhouse. The menu offers a variety of seafood dishes and other delicacies prepared using age-old recipes.
Was a bit chilly , and they offered blankets. Was taken aback with the food , and service and all at a very reasonable price, view was fantastic, food very well cooked and presented, as well as a very reasonable priced wine list. Pity they don't do lunches. 5 star all the way
John R — Google review
From the moment we arrived, the service at this restaurant was warm, attentive, and professional. Our waiter was knowledgeable and made us feel welcome right away, offering great recommendations and ensuring we had everything we needed throughout the meal. I ordered the Spanish cannelloni, and it was absolutely delicious—perfectly baked with rich, flavorful filling and just the right amount of creamy sauce. Every bite was full of authentic taste and care in preparation. To finish, I had the apple crumble with vanilla ice cream, and it was the perfect ending to the meal. The crumble was golden and crisp, the apples soft and spiced just right, and the creamy vanilla ice cream on top brought it all together beautifully. An unforgettable dining experience—I will definitely be returning and recommending this place to friends and family!
Suraj M — Google review
Great spot for some good food and a fantastic view! We did not know quite what to expect on our first night in Gharb when we tried in here but it blew away our expectations. It’s nothing fancy but good food done well with lots of choice and very good portions! The terrace is also stunning. Highly recommended!
Catherine H — Google review
It's a sports bar with an upstairs terrace. The pizzas are great quality and value probably one between two instead of one each 😃 The servers were enthusiastic snd friendly but young and possibly under trained. Everything has to be delivered from below via a dumb waiter so don't fret if your food isn't in front of you immediately. Just enjoy the view and what a view it is ...
Spike 1 — Google review
Absolutely delightful experience! The sea bream was incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked—full of flavor and freshness. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, made even better by the kind and attentive waiters. Excellent service from start to finish. Highly recommend for anyone looking for top-quality seafood and friendly hospitality.
Suraj M — Google review
I can only speak concerning thz pizzas since i ordered 2. The pizzas were great! Loved the menu and prices! The only "bad" thing, (and actually pretty bad idea in my opinion) is that on the garlic lovers.. you put raw garlic on it, in thick chunks, that destroys every other taste you add on the pizza😕 And i repeat, the rest is nice! The only things are those big chunks of garlic ruining the pizza,
Antonin L — Google review

Nestled in the charming village of Gharb on the picturesque Island of Gozo, Grazie Mille Restaurant offers a delightful Italian dining experience that is hard to resist. This quaint eatery, housed in a beautifully renovated character home, invites you to relax in its cozy courtyard while savoring dishes crafted from the finest ingredients. Authentic Italian cuisine for a very reasonable price! This restaurant has a lovely seating area in a courtyard surrounded by plants. Really small place with indoor seating as well as a small courtyard at the back. Courteous staff and nominal prices. Dishes were very well done, nominally priced and the portions were very generous. I would recommend the Sicilian fried cannolini. The only downside is a tricky location at a sharp left hand turn in the village of Gharb. Parking is off-road but can be a tight squeeze.

Situated on a small square near the Cathedral and Courts of Justice, the Old Prison offers a glimpse into its history as a confinement for criminals from the mid-16th to early 20th century. The cramped cells and historical graffiti on the walls provide an eerie yet fascinating experience. Visitors can witness inscriptions and drawings left by cellmates in the 19th century, offering a unique perspective on life within its walls.
Bought the Cittadella Combo Ticket. €13 adults/ €9 seniors and students with proof of student ID / €7 children under 11. This price bought entrance to the Cittadella Visitor’s Center, Gozo Museum of Archaeology, The Old Prison, Gozo Nature Museum and the Gran Castello Historic House. All of these places were visited and the grounds were walked within a period of two and a half hours without any stops for bathroom, coffee or food. There are plenty of bathrooms and areas to eat, drink or snack. The Old Prison is a rather small exhibit with a wealth of information. It is well worth visiting to learn who was held here, why, when, and how they lived. There is a small gift shop near the entry. It took twenty minutes to walk through the exhibit during an off season.
Justice Q — Google review
The museum is very basic, though I found the little information available quite interesting. It took around 10 mins to look around the prison. It was free as part of the combined ticket (see below). You can go in one of the prison cells, and see into a couple more (the entire prison is 6 cells, two hallways, and another open air room. Entry to the museum is €5 on its own (not good value) or €13 as part of a combined ticket that includes 5 Citadella museums (Citadella visitor centre), museum of archaeology, old prison, Gran Castillo historic house, and nature museum) as well as the Ggantija Archeological park (€10 on its own, making the combined ticket worthwhile) and Ta Kola windmill.
Tom H — Google review
Small but nice bit of history to see, the whole area is free for the most part and the small cost to go into a couple of the buildings was worth it.
Kat M — Google review
This museum was included in the very advantageous and recommended thirty day Heritage Malta Multisite Pass. It was worth visiting while at the Citadel, with some interesting historical context and graffiti in the cell.
Ryan S — Google review
Not very big, but still worth a visit and a photo in the stocks!

Small passage between prison cells, you can go inside one, there are old markings, writings and sketches of ships, very interesting, whole experice takes max 10 minutes. Not bad, but also not missing out on anything special. Entrance fee is 5 euros, is valid for 2 more museums in the citadel ( but not the cathedral ). Museums are very small.

I personally love in historical sites the « people like me lived here once » vibe. This is a place like this. What I loved about it is that you get to see all the graffiti’s that cellmates from the 19th century drew into the wall, that is pretty amazing if you are into this kind of things

Xerri's Grotto is a natural underground wonder located in the northeastern part of Gozo, near the capital Victoria. It features stunning stalagmites and stalactites formed over thousands of years by rainwater filtering through limestone. The cave was discovered in 1924 when a well was being dug, and now visitors can explore it via a spiral staircase illuminated by electric lights.
Very neat little attraction you would not expect in the center of a town. The story goes the man's grandfather was digging down to search for water and came across this cave. The stairs descend about 25 ish feet into the ground, and one thing that shocked me was how warm it was. Usually, caves in the ground are 70 degrees F, but this was closer to 80 or 85 degrees. Entry was only 3 euro per person and worth it for a quick stop.

Not very big, but worth a visit if you're nearby. The story - finding a cave while digging a well, and the spending years to dig it out - is fascinating. We were given a tour by the great-great-great-great-grandson 🙂
Erik F — Google review
Pretty incredible little stop in the city, the two granddaughters of the man who discovered the cavern face a very good guided tour. Would recommend if you’re trying to get out of the heat for a bit.
Alex H — Google review
Well worth a visit and very beautiful to see. The tour was great and very interesting. We were shown round by a little old Maltese lady who was the granddaughter of the man who discovered it while digging it out for a well. She told stories and the names of different stalactites and rock formations that have been passed down through generations. The tour lasted about 30 minutes and has no set price, all she asked is for a small donation minimum of 3 euros. But feel free to donate more as it's well worth it.

Lovely little grotto underneath the houses. Lots of other posts with info and I wouldn’t want to take away from the hosts presentation as we were shown around by a great, great (not sure how many greats) granddaughter and younger sister (?) of the man that first dug in to the grotto. Very sweet and worth a quick visit.
Bill L — Google review
One of the most unique experiences in Gozo. The cave is 8 meters below the ground, and the tour is led by a descendant of the man who discovered it, which makes it even more special. She explains things really well.
Рахилка С — Google review
What a cool spot! Under someone’s house, you ring a bell and pay €3 and it’s a quick 10-15min guided tour
Jemima — Google review
Mary-Ann opened up the grotto and gave us a private tour. Originally dug out for a well to 14m in 1923 by her husband's grandfather, he instead found the grotto. For years he worked away to create a mini labyrinth of fascinating stalactites and stalagmites, opening to the public after WWII. What a great marvel, given the tools of the time. Definitely make time to stop by. For 3 euros, it's a "must do ".

Nestled in the charming village of Gharb, Gozo, Salvina Restaurant is a delightful culinary destination that showcases the best of Mediterranean flavors. This eatery offers an enticing menu featuring succulent steaks, flavorful risottos, fresh fish dishes, and mouthwatering pizzas. Diners can also indulge in traditional options like braised rabbit and rich cheese selections.
Wonderful little restaurant run by the owner. Friendly, attentive and a damn good cook! He uses local meat and vegetables. Must visit if you're staying in town.

This place is absolutely amazing. It is typical local restaurant with excellent atmosphere and very polite staff. It is open during lunch time untill 3pm and during dinner from 6pm. We enjoied all of our meals and home made desserts. I realy appreciate local places like this restaurant, if you have possibility to visit, i recommend 100% this place!

Best of the best Malteses meals so far we tried over a week. Everything cooked perfectly, lamb, fish and quail were juicy and delicious. Service was top, food came quicly on our tables, non stop smiles and politiness of the waitress.
Povilas Č — Google review
We stopped in tonight after noticing the great reviews online - and we certainly weren’t disappointed! We had the fresh whole fish of the day, which was sea bass, and it was *chef’s kiss* to die for. Even the sides, roasted veg and tomato sauce, were amazing. My son had the penne carbonara, and it was also very tasty. If you’re looking for fresh fish, this is the place to go!
Jennifer A — Google review
After a long and winding road from the opposite side of Malta, Marsaskala, to Gharb, we decided to have dinner at the nearest place possible, Salvina’s. Didn’t regret it, felt immediately welcome, taken care of, and the woodburning stove did the rest. As starters I had smoked fish with salad, for mains a salmon done just the way I like it, a couple of Cisk's to go along, and an especially custom made cortado (mini cappuccino, sort of) to finish of the chocolate gateaux with cream. Of course, there's always room for improvement: the fish fingers should be replaced by Dutch "vis sticks", kids will love it!
Wales G — Google review
I was looking a place to eat dinner, during my first night in Gozo. So, I found that Salvina was still open and entered. The waiter, welcomed me really friendly and took me to the available table. After I checked the menu, I decided to try the local dish of rabbit stew and a beer. I received the beer and some really nice grilled bread. After 15-20 minutes, from the moment I placed the order, I received a big dish with hot stew and three fresh made side dishes. I really enjoyed. The meat was so good cooked that you didn't need the use of the knife. The side dishes, great. I really enjoyed the vegetables. I really recommend that place. Just one thing. Please update the menu that you got at the entrance. The prices were different with the one that I received at the table :)
Pavlos A — Google review
Lovely local restaurant with local foods. Had a perfect swordfish steak and octopus as well. All served very quickly with a sweet man running the place. Would recommend if staying in Gharb.
Chris T — Google review
We had two really nice meals here. Service was prompt and very friendly - the food was really nice, with a slightly 'nostalgic' twist to the menu - prawn cocktail, chicken Kiev and beef stroganoff taking pride of place alongside the more usual items. We also had rib eye and prawns, both of which were expertly grilled. Lovely end of town to boot. Not the cheapest, but definitely worth a visit or two.

Nestled within the historic Citadel in Victoria, the Gozo Museum of Archaeology invites visitors to delve into the island's captivating past. Housed in a beautifully restored 17th-century townhouse that once belonged to the Bondi family, this museum showcases an impressive array of artifacts that span from prehistoric times through to the medieval era. Each exhibit is thoughtfully curated, offering insights into Gozo's rich cultural heritage and early civilizations.
The Citadel is an interesting place to visit. Walking through the narrow historic streets and looking at the Victoria skyline is an unforgettable adventure. The archaeological museum is worth seeing.
Małgorzata B — Google review
Small museum with some interesting displays. Less than one hour to see the displays.
Jean L — Google review
The museum has poor exhibits and not great information. It took around 10 mins to traverse. It was free as part of the combined ticket (see below), but I think it's not worth the time unless you have a significant interest in archaeology.

The Gran Castello Historic House is a collection of interconnected 16th and 18th-century homes that offer a glimpse into historical life on the island. The museum showcases exhibits on trades, crafts, and hobbies from centuries past. Visitors can explore fully furnished period houses, learn about local folklore and history, and admire the stunning architecture. The museum provides an excellent explanation of the way of life during that time period and offers beautiful views from its location in Citadella Ir-Rabat.
The Gran Castello Historic House is a walk through of a life. There are bedrooms, kitchens, baby rooms, etc. if you enjoy period furniture and imagining the lives of the people before you, then you will enjoy this exhibit. You must traverse steps. We went on an off season so there wasn’t that much traffic but during high tourist period I can imagine it would be more difficult to get past people in the hallways unless they restrict and control the number of visitors entering and exiting. There is a video in the bedroom that runs continuously. The rooms open up onto a beautiful vista and garden. A bathroom is within this area. It is a lovely spot.

A must visit in Gozo. It is free to enter and walk around the perimeter wall which has spectacular 360 degree views of Gozo. There an entrance fee of 5euros per adult, children and students £4euros to enter the Cathedral which includes the museum. Be aware mid afternoon in July it is very, very hot with nest to no shade or breeze.

This is a charming little museum tucked away in the side streets near the entrance to the basilica in Victoria. Lovely friendly welcome with a brief explanation particularly of a local artist who had made pictures out of smashed ceramics and glass. These were incredible artistry and such a skill to have to produce such pictures of such high quality. Very clean and bright throughout with toilets available and free entry too (voluntary donations on exit but no pressure) -loved it!

Amazing - free, but donations appreciated. Multilevel historical building of rooms filled with local historical and religion related artefacts chronologically telling story of Malta and Maltese part in global historical events. Space is used also as an art gallery, currently with stunning exhibition proving that creative mind can create beauty by upcycling discarded porcelain (mugs and plates), jewellery and even zippers. One can easily spend hours here admiring and learning. Will definitely visit again.

A delightful museum & art exhibition venue in the centre of Gozo. We went to see the W. Apap art, but there’s so much more to feast your eyes on. Beautifully curated art, clerical items, ancient coins and even a prehistoric skull. No entrance fees but donations are accepted - and totally worth a token of appreciation. There’s also a caffè on the roof however we preferred to walk 2 minutes to the village square.

Lovely little place that I really didn't expect, and much larger inside than expected at first. Articles on display are from various churches and are superb. Lots of information on the church and the articles history. Well worth a visit. Look out for special events like this one for Christmas 2019. Fantastic shop. Excellent guides. Expert knowledge of diving in Gozo and anticipate the needs of technical divers. We had a fun time diving with their fleet DPVs as well! They even gave us the option to do some boat diving to break up the shore dives. They were very flexible too in terms of dive locations and always had a backup plan in case the wind wasn’t cooperating. They were not just professional but they were also so much fun to spend time with. Can’t wait to come back and do it all over again!!!

Tom Steiner and Gozo Technical Diving it's without a doubt the place to go if you look for excellence in Technical Diving. Superb diving and teaching skills. 10/10
Enol M — Google review
Gozo Technical Diving left us with a disappointing experience after a 6-day diving trip with 4 divers, including 3 CCR divers and 1 OC diver. We had clearly communicated in advance that we wanted to dive on historical wrecks, which was initially confirmed for around €500 per dive. However, upon arrival, the price suddenly increased to €750, and it had to be split between more divers, who eventually showed up only at the end of the 5th diving day, and didn’t even want to do a wreck dive. This led to poor planning and unmet expectations. The owner, Tom Steiner, didn't seem enthusiastic. He showed little involvement, didn’t ask about our experiences, and didn’t offer any tips or advice. Despite paying for unguided dives on top of the equipment rental, there was a clear lack of passion and customer service. For the price you pay, you expect better organization and service. Fortunately, the rest of the staff was friendly, and we met other divers on site. However, the promised wreck dive with the boat never happened. Overall, it was poorly managed by Mr. Steiner, who seemed to prefer smoking his cigarettes at the dive center rather than engaging with his clients.

We had a fantastic time visiting Dwejra Bay! The panoramic views are absolutely breathtaking — a perfect spot for nature lovers and photographers. You can enjoy the Inland Sea, unique rock formations, and even take a short boat ride through sea caves. There’s a convenient car park nearby, which made access easy even with kids. The surrounding picturesque fishermen cabins add to the magic of the place. Despite some rough waves, tourists find the experience well worth it for its value and unique sights.
So great!!! For 5€ You get taken on a small tour through the caves and to the other side of the rock cliffs. The waves were a bit rough, but part of the fun! Very much worth it!

Expensive, but great if you want privacy. 3 hours tour was ok to view everything. The boat trips can be expensive, but a private tour provides a great, intimate experience. The typical 3-hour tour is sufficient to see all the key sights, including caves, cliffs, and the famous Dwejra Bay landmarks. Worth it for those seeking privacy and scenic views.

Għammar Hill, located opposite the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Blessed Virgin of Ta' Pinu in Gozo, offers a steep path leading to panoramic views of the island. The hill is adorned with Catholic statues and monuments, creating a serene atmosphere for both religious and non-religious visitors. While the ascent can be challenging, reaching the top rewards you with breathtaking views of Gozo's coast and even Malta in the distance.
Ta' Ghammar Hill with its unbelievable monuments was one of my personal highlights in Gozo. Only a few steps away from the crowded Ta' Pinu pilgrim church it offers a surprisingly quiet atmosphere. The way of the cross is set in stone. It is a place of devotion for non-religious people also.
J M — Google review
Opposite the Ta' Pinu basilica there's a big hill with a steep and (in places) rather worn path winding up to the top. It's quite a trek, but worth it for the impressive views across much of the island. As it's associated with the nearby church, there's also a series of statues representing the stations of the cross on the way up, and an amphitheater at the top. Some of it's a bit run down, but the views alone make it worth a visit, even if you're not interested in the religious side of it.
John B — Google review
It's a nice spot to run to from Victoria. 8km there and back. The climb from the road is about 50m, and a few sections were hard work. But the view from the top was well worth it.
Kevin V — Google review
Really worth visiting hill. There are like 10+ statues that represents Jesus crucifixion while you are climbing and on top of the hill you get 360 view of this part of the island which is amazing! Keep in mind that if its windy it's crazy up there :) ps. Public transport is going every hour to this place.
Butters — Google review
If you're visiting the Ta' Pinu Sanctuary, then it's definitely worth climbing up this hill too. However, it's not to be undertaken lightly! The track leading to the top starts on the edge of the road, opposite the Ta' Pinu Sanctuary and next to their car park. Make certain you are wearing fairly decent footwear (better than flip flops) and carry water in hot weather. The track is rough along most of its length and steep in places. It zig-zags a few times and has the occasional very welcome tree for shade. The route is punctuated with religiously-significant statues that also provide regular excuses to stop and catch your breath on the way up. We saw several types of butterflies and small (harmless) wall lizards bathing in the sun, as well as literally thousands of small snails clutching onto the vegetation. Views are increasingly spectacular the higher you climb and panoramic once you’re at the top. You can see the whole of Gozo and even back over to Malta. Well worth the effort!

Really close to Basilica of the National Shrine of the Blessed Virgin of Ta' Pinu. Once there at the church, just cross the street and go up the hill. The view of Gozo is amazing, you basically can see the whole island - and also Malta. I really recommend the visit! And there are also several catholic statues up there.
Maria B — Google review
Stunning view. Definitely worth ascending. But don't believe Google maps regarding the way up. Park and start at Ta'Pinu basilica!!!
Cungacunga — Google review
One of the best Malta experiences a Christian can have is to walk the easy path and picture the 14 stations of the cross whilst overlooking Ta Pinu’s breathtaking church. Choose 1 hour prior sunset to see the sky lights dance as you reach the final stage where Christ ascends into heaven. What an experience 💍

Bus station
Dwejra, located on the pristine west coast of Gozo, is a must-visit destination known for its stunning coastline and rocky outcrops. Visitors can enjoy a short swim in the inland sea or relax at a bar overlooking the water. Boat trips are available to explore caves, cliffs, and rock formations, with the area being popular for diving as well. The site also features a charming chapel dedicated to St. Anne and offers great dining options with picturesque sunset views.
Bus is on time, but be careful the bus station was moved to the other side of the roundabout
Hynek B — Google review
Great place for a short swim in the inland sea, or a drink at the bar right on the water. There are also boat trips out of the cave and around the cliffs, unless the sea is too choppy (as the cave itself gets very wavy). There are also people selling random things in the parking lot, which is fun, while you can also check out the place where the azure window used to be (even though it's just a cliff now). Have a look at the fungus rock opposite, it's very pretty. The site has adequate parking facilities, as well as rescue facilities but the toilets were disgusting. Really, the dirtiest toilets I've ever seen in malta, they were completely unusable.

A place to visit when in Gozo, where the Azure Window once stood...still a place with a lot to offer & to see...especially the amazing inland sea ...taking a boat ride to explore the cliffs, caves, rock formations...also a popular diving site so much to explore under the clear sea surface...a nice chapel dedicated to St. Anne...good restaurants on site where to dine...wait for the sunset , its spectacular !

Nestled in the picturesque village of Għarb, the Għarb Old Parish Church stands as a testament to Malta's rich history and architectural beauty. This stunning baroque edifice, officially known as The Basilica and Collegiate Parish Church of the Visitation of Lady, was constructed in the early 1700s. It serves not only as a spiritual haven but also marks both the beginning and end of the scenic Ta Gurdan hike trail.
(Translated by Google) Gozo (Maltese: Għawdex) is an island in the Maltese archipelago in the Mediterranean Sea. Compared to the neighboring island, Gozo is a more rural area known for its hilliness. The popular name for Gozo is Calypso's island, since Gozo is considered the island of Ogygia from Homer's Odyssey. In this work, the island was controlled by the nymph Calypso who kept Odysseus for seven years. Gozo has an area of 67 km², which is roughly the size of the island of Pašman. It is located approximately 6 km northwest of Malta. The island is oval-shaped, 14 km long and 7.25 km wide. Gozo is famous for many attractions, such as Calypso's Cave and the Neolithic Temples of Ġganti, which are the oldest existing man-made structures in the world. First on the tour list was the city of Mgarr. Like all towns in Malta, Mgarr is known for its two cathedrals. One classic - grand looking with a whole series of accompanying buildings and a belfry tower and one with a big red dome. The streets are narrow, passing buses extremely interesting and a bit horror, hundreds of small shops and buildings in the same yellowish-brown color, the color of the stone from which all the buildings are made and which makes the city seem monotonous, at least in terms of colors! The Citadel, a fortified city that dominates Victoria, offers a beautiful view of the entire island. Well, even though the island is in monotonous yellowish brown colors, the view is interesting. The fort itself is really fiercely fortified with thick and high walls, and must have been a big problem for potential invaders. From Victoria through the town of Ghasri to Ghammar and Zebbung and all the way to the town of Marsalforn, the road is along the sea. There we briefly say goodbye to the sea and head inland towards the small town of Xsaghra. From Xsaghra we head towards Nadur, and then through Qal to the ferry port and the town of Mgarr. All in all, a beautiful island that you cannot get to know in one day. It would be appropriate to take accommodation for at least three days and then there would be time to get to know the island. But the island is beautiful, interesting and worthwhile to visit. Jednoj klasičnoj – velebnog izgleda s čitavim nizom popratnih zgrada i tornjem s zvonikom i jedne s velikom crvenom kupolom.

For fifty years it served as the only parish church here. After a new and larger church was built in the heart of the village, this church fell by the wayside. Azure Window, the collapsed natural arch on Gozo, was a breathtaking sight until it succumbed to the forces of nature in 2017. Despite its absence, the area still holds much allure. Adjacent to the Inland Sea and Blue Hole diving spot, it remains a popular tourist destination. The surrounding cliffs and rocky beaches offer picturesque views and opportunities for boating and snorkeling. Although the iconic arch is no more, visitors can still appreciate this unique geological wonder that stood for millennia.
It was a sad day when this beautiful rock arch on gozo was reclaimed by a stormy sea. Adjacent to the Inland sea and blue hole diving spot. on gozo, this arch featured in many historical movies. It was wonderful to catch the small bus from Vittorio Rabat out to Dwerja. Although the arch has gone the area still has much to offer. There is a lovely little rustic tumbledown cafe on the cobbles at Inland sea which is also still a favoured diving spot.It has very dangerous undercurrents so great care must be exercised.Fungus Rock is only a short walk across the salt pans which requires sturdy shoes. The whole area is overlooked by the 16th century Knights watchtower A terrific Viewpoint you can easily walk up to Still worth a visit to this beautiful area.

Unfortunately, Azure window does not exist. However, you can watch cliffs and caves with gorgeous water colors, and nearby is an amazing blue hole in which you can dive. A wonderful depth and lots of fish. Wonderful experience. I recommend.

I was so happy to visit very beautiful place. I like it so much. Goo thing is before taking boat we enter to the musium where the lady explained us very well about the place. It helped us alot and during boat trip we could understand what we see. Moreover, The guide who accompanied with boat also explwined and showed the famous places.

Very beautiful place, but unfortunately, the arch was destroyed about 6 years ago. Use the boat trip. It is not expensive - 5€ per person.

Even though the Azur window collapsed a couple of years ago, it remains a top touristic spot to visit in Gozo. Definitely once in a lifetime opportunity to see a collapsed nature phenomenon that has been there for thousands and thousands of years. The surrounding cliffs and rocky beaches are perfect Instaworthy locations and you can take a boat to go on the sea or go snorkeling. Top location in Gozo even getting a bit too touristic for my liking.

The Azure Window doesn't exist anymore. Doesn't matter. It's absolutely beautiful. Take a 4 euro boat trip and discover the caves and take a closer look. We definitely enjoyed it. Must go if you are in Gozo. It can be very very hot tho in summer, don't expect to find a nice relaxing place in the shadow!

So the arch has collapsed but it's still worth the time and effort. The Mediterranean Sea is incredibly beautiful. Insanely blue! The cliff walls were beautiful. I loved it 😍. The blue in my pictures IS how blue it was that day. I have not altered my photos in any way.

Mushroom Rock is an excellent destination, situated away from the usual tourist route. It can be reached by taking a pleasant 15-minute stroll from the Wied Il-Mielah parking area, providing visitors with the opportunity to witness two remarkable locations in one trip. This astonishing cliff offers a breathtaking display of natural beauty, resembling scenes straight out of another world. The site's peculiar formations present a mesmerizing artwork crafted by nature itself.
Free to visit. Suggest you take the route on foot. Gives you a great view on the cliffs, sea and the amazing landscape of Gozo ❤️🇲🇹

Be careful not to go too close to the edge of the cliffs when heading down to see the rock. If you visit on a summer day, remember to bring water. Although the walk isn’t long, going up and down in the sun can be exhausting.
