Cabanon de Le Corbusier is part of the Cap Moderne, a collection of iconic architectural landmarks set in a stunning natural environment. This unconventional museum includes Eileen Gray's villa E-1027, Le Corbusier's Cabanon, holiday cabins, and the historic bar-restaurant Etoile de Mer. The interior features unique decorative elements such as polychrome stucco and 17th-century paintings by local artist Marc-Antoine Otto.
Just wonderful. The guide was exceptionally well informed and passionate. The two hours flew by. Felt very privileged to be on the tour. Make sure you book it in advance.

I was really excited to visit this place. However the websites instructions are very misleading. Basically, they have opening hours... which you'd assume you'd be able to rock up and buy tickets and view... but it seems you must buy tickets and arrive on time for a tour. Outside of these times they lock the gate, start the tour and completely ignore you. Considering this is a tourist destination, you'd assume this would be explained: 'buy ticket online, arrive on time for the tour and enjoy the tour' instead it doesn't. Sadly we travelled really far just to see the gate.
Dan C — Google review
Teach the staff how to treat people with respect and accept that bad things happen and they can help solve them October 2024 We were looking forward to coming to Cabanon de Le Corbusier and purchased our tickets way in advance. We were staying Northwest of Nice and left at 8:00 am for a 10:00 am tour. We tried to load the address on our car - since there is no street address number, the car would not take the address. So we used our Google Maps. We came down the hill and saw the sign for the Cabanon and Google Maps said we were here. We were not there, but we did not know that. I got out of the car and walked around looking for the building. We asked two different groups of people. The first did not know and the second group did, but they did not know how to get there without looking it up on their google maps. Their conclusion was to go the railroad station. Not sure why our tickets did not just give the train station as the address. After all of this we called the staff to say we were coming late and they said too bad - so sad. You are out of luck. We drove there anyhow. They made a bad situation much worse. 1) Did they try to make any accommodations - absolutely not. 2) It was so bad that when we asked to go to the bathroom for some in our party - the receptionist said there were no restrooms around the area - they actually had one and let ticket holders use it - we had six tickets and she was saying no restrooms around. 3) They had an 11:00 am time slot to tour the building without anyone going into the building and we asked if they would just give us a ten minute tour and Amy, who apparently was in charge - said "NO"!. I ran a not for profit for 37 years and we worked to get to yes, never to say no so quickly. Did she do anything to acknowledge that we had driven nearly two hours - that we were probably 900 feet away, just up above and maybe - just maybe she needed to try to do something. NO!!!!!! I have never been treated like this by any museum, cultural facility in my life and in particular in France. One of the staff acted like she wanted to help. Although even her solutions were not helpful. As with most customer issues, these issues have been known to the organization before. I believe they have known that google maps does not get you to the building, have they done anything to solve that? Have they tried to get a number on their address so that car maps can get you there? Have they put any signage up to the area where google maps says you have arrived to solve this issue? Have they trained any of their staff not to dismiss people who have arrived late with some type of accommodation other than you can see it from the outside? In the organization that I ran, my staff would have been trained to resolve issues not make them worse. Did they even try to give us our money back - that was not the option we wanted - they do not offer to give your money back - in fact they say you do not get your money back - but you can write to an address. Save your time - save your money - I am certain this is a worthwhile thing to look at - but if something happens you will run into a buzz saw that shows no mercy and solves no problems. I do not normally turn into an ugly American - but folks and their procedures/attitude can bring it out in anybody.

The Cabanon de Le Corbusier is a small cabin located in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, France, designed by the famous Swiss-French architect Le Corbusier. Built in 1952, this iconic structure is a prime example of Le Corbusier's architectural philosophy, emphasizing simplicity, functionality, and the integration of living spaces with nature. The cabin measures just 3.66 meters by 3.66 meters, showcasing a minimalist design that reflects Le Corbusier's principles of modularity and spatial efficiency. It features a compact living area, a small kitchen, and a sleeping area, all designed to maximize comfort within a limited space. The cabin is situated on a hillside, providing stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea. The Cabanon is part of the cultural heritage of the region and is often visited by architecture enthusiasts and tourists interested in Le Corbusier's work. If you're curious about its design principles, history, or how to visit, feel free to ask!

Come on ... booking in advance to see a couple of ordinary beach houses and holiday unit as Eileen Gray E-1027 where nothing is worth the visit and it's no different that Le Corbusier have stayed there when you know his work in cities ... let alone for € 19 !
Enjoy L — Google review
Not possible to buy a ticket without reservation online (which is unavailable) , rude staff at entrance. Save yourself the trip like me and other people who travelled there a long way in hope to learn more about Le Corbusier.

An aberration to have built a restaurant literally attached to Le Corbusier's cabin. It makes his work lose all significance.

Castle
Château Médieval de Roquebrune, originally built in the 10th century and later renovated in the 13th century, offers a glimpse into medieval life and boasts a rich history intertwined with the Grimaldi family. Perched at an elevation of 300 meters, this small yet intriguing castle provides panoramic views from Monaco to Menton. Visitors can explore its interior, which includes descriptions of various rooms in multiple languages.
This small town is a true jewel of the Côte d'Azur—charming, peaceful, and full of authentic Mediterranean character. The narrow streets lined with pastel-colored houses, blooming bougainvillea, and local cafés give it a warm and inviting atmosphere. It's the kind of place where time seems to slow down. One of the highlights is the historic Fortress, which offers stunning panoramic views over the sea and surrounding hills. It’s definitely worth the climb! The shortest and most scenic way to get there is by taking the narrow stairway just beside the car control barrier at Place Deux Frères—a bit hidden, but that’s part of the magic. If you're looking for a place that combines history, beauty, and a laid-back vibe, this town is a perfect escape from the busier Riviera hotspots.

Very beautiful settings, foods are nice and clean, a cup of coffee or tea or have some delicious pasta & salad which are filling, with the background of a romantic medieval castle on the cliff hill at your background. There are some photogenic cats around!

Lovely experience! Do not miss this if you are near Nice or Menton. Walking to there wasn't easy at all but it's completely worth it! The scenery will leave you speachless.
Isidora A — Google review
Oh, wow, what a lovely experience! The surroundings are just stunning, pics don't do it justice! We walked up there on a very hot day, the walk was challenging (for us, the parents, our teenager kids were fine),but was all worth it! Found a lovely Caffè and had lunch (reasonable and lovely service) then explored the castle. I'd do it again, despite the 700(maybe?) stairs. You need to be fit if you are planning to walk from the bottom of the cliff! Would recommend it.

Museum
Cultural landmark
E-1027 is a Mediterranean villa designed by the renowned architect Eileen Gray in the late 1920s. The villa, along with Le Corbusier's Cabanon, holiday cabins, and the bar-restaurant Etoile de Mer, forms the Cap Moderne collection. This unconventional museum showcases iconic architectural landmarks set amidst stunning natural beauty.
Eileen Gray's E-1027 modernist house has recently reopened following a five-year renovation. The work brought it back close to its 1929 original form, after careful research. The house is a marvel of invention and functional design, building on the design principles of Le Corbusier (who lived there for 12 years and built his “Cabanon” next door) but stamped with Gray’s unique style and personality. You can only visit as part of a guided tour taking about a dozen people through on a comprehensive 2-hour visit (tours are given in French or English). These must be booked a long time in advance but the effort is well worth it. Our guide was brilliant and clearly passionate about the site and its colourful history. The visit starts at a ticket office which features a bookshop and (currently) an exhibition of about the restoration work. There’s also a great food truck. It’s a 400m walk along a flat path to get to the house and back. Beyond E-2017, visitors can also visit Le Corbusier’s Cabanon, holiday cabins and studio. Those interested in design, architecture and modernism will love this visit, but the site is so stunning and and the guided tour so well put together that anyone should get something out of the experience. Hot tip: walk down the steps from the car part to Buse Beach for a dip and lunch at Le Cabanon, a beach-side shack serving delicious local sea-food. The beach offers a different view of the house from the water below.

Such a gorgeous piece of architecture! The tour was also really interesting 😊
Tania B — Google review
It is a must go place for people who love history of art and culture. Eileen Gray was not a very well-known figure but her contribution in the modern art is huge. Anybody interested in feminism and queer culture would find the story of her life truly fascinating. This villa is a masterpiece of the 20 century architecture. Don’t miss it if you are on the Côte d’Azur.
Oleg D — Google review
This is the first piece of Architecture I have visited in two years and it did not disappoint. The interior is rich with details and consideration and the story is full of twists and turns. It would have been amazing to have an hour or two to wander around the interior and to study Eileen Grey's thoughtful process and design flair. There was no time to sketch or reflect. We visited in a tour group of twelve which felt like too many for the space. It's not a large building and the rooms are similarly small. We didn't spend much time in the bathroom which was a shame because it looked beautiful. I think access would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues or in a wheelchair. Furthermore it was very hot and the walk across the beach and up stairs might be difficult for some people.
Romey E — Google review
After years of restauration the villa is finally back to full glory. A terrific guided tour will inform you about the history of this amazing site (and of the other buildings nearby, like the Cabanon from Le Corbusier). It's like visiting the genesis of modern architecture with an important role for Le Corbusier, but starring none other than Eileen Gray. If you're visiting the area, do make a reservation well in advance.
Daan B — Google review
It is 18yrs since I first went looking for this place. In 2005 it was derelict. Today it has been restored and yesterday I joined a tour to see it. It is well worth the tour. The guide was brilliant. She told the story with enthusiasm and pointed out the design detail that I could have missed. So great to see it in person after all these years. 5 stars to yesterday's guide.

Unfortunately was close that day, we had the opportunity to see it from outside and was beautiful, what a pity for no have the chance to visit it inside

Hangar Cap Moderne is a unique museum located on the other side of the bay from Monaco, featuring iconic architectural landmarks such as Eileen Gray's villa E-1027 and Le Corbusier's Cabanon. The site also includes holiday cabins and the historic bar-restaurant Etoile de Mer. Renovated by Michael Likierman, the museum showcases the work of these renowned architects and designers, with copies of Gray's work displayed in the lobby and bar.
Amazing tour and very friendly staff! The tour is 2 hours long and covers the Eileen Gray Villa, the camping lodge and the hut of le corbusier. Many details are given. The small museum is also quite interesting. I didn’t know that a reservation multiple weeks in advance is necessary but luckily someone cancelled so I got a spot still. Thank you a lot of the great tour to the guides and the people preserving these landmarks.

E 1027 Eileen Gray - reception point / BOOK ONLINE : attendance busy / no tickets on the door / also Le Corbusier art everywhere because he had his perfectly utilitarian shed next door / also part of the 19 Euro visit / shop and explanatory exhibition work dropping in to see if you don’t have as ticket / open air drinks

Amazing architectures, with stunning views, the tour guide was nice and informative ( and patient ). I didn’t want the tour to end, it lasted about 2 hours. There are two tours in the day, 10 am and 2 pm , you have to reserve online first. There are a tour in English and a tour in French. If you are staying in Monaco/Nice you can take the train ( very cheap and fast ) or the bus 100 from Monaco ( but you’ll have to walk for 20mins )

Beautiful, must see tour if you love the work of Eileen Gray and Le Coubusier. Our guide was extremely informative and the visit lasted over 2 hours in total. Hiking area
Sentier du Corbusier is a picturesque coastal path that stretches from Pointe du Cap-Martin to the eastern border of Monaco, offering stunning views of the French Riviera. The well-maintained and recently restored trail is accessible to all and provides opportunities for panoramic photos. While it involves some steps and undulating terrain, it's not overly challenging.
The path along the sea is truly exceptional and offers a breathtaking experience, especially for those looking to enjoy a leisurely Sunday walk. As you stroll along, you are greeted by the soothing sound of the waves crashing against the shore, creating a serene and calming atmosphere. The views are simply stunning, with the vast expanse of the ocean stretching out before you, providing a perfect backdrop for relaxation and reflection. The path is well-maintained and easy to navigate, making it accessible for people of all ages and fitness levels. Whether you’re taking a leisurely pace or briskly walking, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to stop and admire the natural beauty surrounding you. Additionally, there are several benches and seating areas along the way where you can pause to enjoy a picnic or simply soak in the scenery. Overall, this path along the sea is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a peaceful and enjoyable outdoor experience.

very nice view of the sea and then later Monaco. A lot of benches along the way too. Sadly not a lot of bathing spots if u want to hike for that reason! It’s further rather crowded and there are no water tabs, etc. along the way either.

Amazing coastal trail from Roquebrune to Monaco! Easy start with stunning sea views and rocky paths. You pass where Le Corbusier had his cabanon; once rustic, now quite the opposite. As you approach Monaco, expect many stairs up and down, but the views and colors of the Mediterranean are incredible. Well-maintained and clearly marked path. I would definitely do it again; and finish with a cold Monaco beer at the Lido! To return, just take the train from Monaco Central; very fast, only two stops. Great experience!

A very long walk by the time you get to Menton I did 17,000 steps. It's very up and down with so many steps. Fit said I did 50 stories climb. At 77 it was a challenge. There is no way off, and my legs were giving way as we came to the end. Lovely but so challenging I didn't enjoy it as much as other Sentier such as Cap D'Ail.

The Casino de Monte-Carlo is an elegant Beaux-Arts building that has gained fame through its appearances in film and literature. It offers upscale casino gaming, including blackjack, baccarat, roulette, and slot machines. The casino is housed in a stunningly majestic 1800s building with turrets and cupolas that give it the appearance of a palace.
Words don’t do this place justice. I was absolutely blown away by the beauty of the architecture and internal design on the ceilings. Honestly it gets better the further in you explore. We opted to get a Casino ticket to have a look around and had a bit of fun on the slot machines. I just couldn’t stop looking up at the ceiling. The designs are honestly beautiful. It’s definitely worth seeing if you like a visual feast.

It is a lovely and well decorated place. Yet, they have a 20€ entry fee which is completely ridiculous. They trade on their reputation. I have been to dozens of casinos in different parts of the world that have fine art, beautul decor, and they welcome you without a tourist fee. There are lots of slot machines which definitely detract from the ambiance. The views in Monte Carlos lovely.

I only spend few minutes in front and got what I came for. Many nice cars passing around ! Just be careful not to block them and be respectful. The casino is also very beautiful from the outside, I haven’t tried my luck to go in.

A famous casino where many luxury cars are often parked in the plaza. To enter the main lobby, there’s a simple bag check. Inside, you’ll find a service counter — appropriate attire, a passport, and the minimum exchange amount for chips are required to enter the casino. The souvenir shop inside the lobby is also worth a visit. Good luck. 🎰

An absolutely fantastic experience — full of taste, elegance and refinement. The Casino de Monte-Carlo is a true masterpiece of architecture, both iconic and unique. Having the chance to see it from the inside was a real privilege — the luxurious details, the majestic halls, and the historical atmosphere make it unforgettable. By night, the enchanting illumination adds a magical touch, turning the entire place into a scene straight out of a movie. A perfect blend of class, culture and sophistication.

It definitely lives up to the hype of being one of the fanciest places on the planet. Its everything you want it to be.......glamorous and pretentious all at the same time. The building itself is a work of art. Being here will make you feel like your in a james bond movies. Entrance is 20 American dollars. The gift shop is also luxurious with many gifts in the thousands of dollars. This is the nicest Casino I have and will ever step foot in

Built in 1863, this architectural masterpiece continues to captivate visitors with its opulent interiors and world-class gaming experience. As you step into the grand lobby, you are greeted by a stunning atrium adorned with marble floors, ornate pillars, and a breathtaking chandelier. The staff at Casino de Monte-Carlo are professional and friendly, ensuring your experience is both enjoyable and memorable. Nestled in the vibrant heart of Monte Carlo, the Princess Grace Japanese Garden is a tranquil escape that beautifully marries traditional Japanese landscaping with Mediterranean charm. Spanning around 7,000 square meters, this serene oasis was crafted by esteemed landscape architect Yasuo Beppu and opened its doors in 1994. Visitors can wander along picturesque paths that wind around a peaceful pond adorned with koi fish, cross charming bridges, and find solace in a quaint tea house.
A calm and peaceful park in the heart of Monaco. It is very serene and you can relax walking through the garden. A few years ago the garden used to offer spectacular sea views, but sadly newly constructed buildings have blocked this view.

Princess Grace Japanese Garden is a peaceful and beautifully designed place in Monaco. The mix of water, trees, and traditional Japanese style creates a relaxing atmosphere. A perfect spot to take a walk, enjoy nature, and escape the busy city for a while.”

🍃 Japanese Garden, Monaco – A living poem of peace and balance The Japanese Garden in Monaco is one of those places where time seems to slow down. Everything here — the water, the stones, the bridges, the sound of the wind — feels perfectly balanced. It’s a small sanctuary right in the heart of the city, yet it holds the calm of a mountain temple. Every path seems to tell a story. The koi fish move gracefully in the pond, the bamboo rustles softly, and the reflections of the trees shimmer like thoughts passing through the mind. This garden isn’t meant to be rushed — it’s meant to be felt. If you love mindfulness, design, or simply need a pause from the city’s rhythm, this is the place to visit. Spend a few minutes sitting by the water, breathe deeply, and you’ll feel how peace naturally returns to you. I’ve visited many meditation spaces, but the Japanese Garden in Monaco has a unique vibration — it’s not just beauty you see, it’s serenity you feel. 🍃✨
Maka M — Google review
Nice garden but never expected the water to be so dirty. I entered coz I knew that there would or should be a good collection of koi’s, which are present in every Japanese garden. But was totally disappointed.. come to my house & see the kois you will love them. I have put one video of my kois too the clean pond is mine… please check. The stone lay outs I liked & the stand for birds to bathe is beautiful too. But sadly not Japanese way of cleanliness.

The Exotic Garden of Monaco, also known as Jardin Exotique, is a hidden gem that showcases a stunning open-air display of cacti and succulent plants from dry zones worldwide. Perched on a rocky promontory at the north-western entrance of Monaco, it offers breathtaking views over the entire principality. The garden's unique location adds to its charm, drawing visitors to admire the diverse plant species while enjoying panoramic vistas of the Rock of Monaco and the Mediterranean coastline.
The gardens are superb. The price (7.50€ per adult) includes the gardens, the cave (really nice) and a small prehistoric museum. The view is fantastic and cacti are beautiful. There are small paths, romantic spots with benches and cute stop overs. The cave is very interesting, a little adventure, it's very warm and humid inside, I recommend to visit it (guided tours are every full hour, last one starts at 17). The museum gives a bit more history behind the cave and olden times in Monaco.
Agnes W — Google review
Exploring the Exotic Garden was a wonderful experience—the variety of plants was truly impressive, with some reaching massive, awe-inspiring sizes. The highlight, however, was visiting the grotto completely alone, with no other tourists around, and having a free guide to myself. It was by far the best experience I had in Monaco.

It was really beautiful and also gorgeous views over Monaco. Just know there are a lot of stairs down so you need to get up again aswell. Included in the ticket are also the caves and a small museum. Definitely worth a visit!

It is very interesting for visiting place with a lot of different types of plants. Some of them are exotic and you can’t see them in many places. There is a historical museum in the garden. I liked it a lot because in my opinion it was more children oriented and information that you can receive there is presented in a very attractive and easy way. The view from the garden is also breathtaking because the garden is located on a cliffside and you can see the whole Monaco from it. The only thing that I regret for is that we weren’t able to visit the cave because it was closed that time of the year.
Petina M — Google review
Beautiful garden and costal view. 5euros to get in but is wort it every penny. Plants from all over the world, a small koi pound and a cave. Very quiet during extra season but gets crowds during season. Next door is the Museum of Prehistoric Anthropology.

Larvotto Beach is a popular man-made beach in Monaco, offering clear waters and a scenic promenade. It features twin coves with over 1,300 feet of pebbled shores along Avenue Princesse Grace. Visitors can enjoy beachside eateries, a playground area, watersports rentals, and a beach volleyball court. The shallow waters make it ideal for kids, and the beach is equipped with facilities, bars, and restaurants nearby.
One of the best beaches in the world. Clean, no debris, crystal clear water with lots of fish, great pier to dive into the water. Good for kids & lots of beach side restaurants

This is a lovely spot! Just take a look at the photos, and you'll see the beautiful sandy beach, though there is some dirt in the water. The free showers are a nice touch. Benches are available for about 40€ per day. It’s a wonderful place for kids to play and for families to relax together.
Amir A — Google review
Plage du Larvotto in Monaco is one of those places that perfectly captures the idea of a beach in the city without losing its calm or charm. it’s not a sandy beach, which is actually a plus — no sticky sand everywhere, just smooth pebbles and a clean walkway. the water is super clear, calm, and very inviting, which makes it great for a swim even right next to the main promenade. everything feels well maintained and organized, just as you’d expect in monaco. along the beach you’ll find a nice selection of restaurants and cafés, all modern and stylish but not over the top. you can grab a proper lunch at neptune or miami plaje, or just stop for a coffee or aperol at one of the smaller places right by the water. it’s a great setup — you can spend the day there easily, moving between the beach and the cafés without ever feeling rushed. the whole area has been recently redone, and it shows. the promenade looks great, the facilities are clean, and the vibe is balanced between relaxed locals and visitors enjoying the view. even though it’s the main public beach, it never feels chaotic. overall, larvotto is easily one of the nicest city beaches around. clean water, easy access, good food, and no sand to deal with — it’s the kind of place you’ll always end up coming back to.
Arian R — Google review
The beach it self is very clean and has a nice view. On the contrary, it is not very big, has almost no trees at all and is quite expensive.Ideal for the ones that like to experience a more luxorious beach experience, but the beaches in the nearby at the French coast are more family-friendly.
Petra S — Google review
The beach is fine, but honestly nothing special. Yes, the water is clear and the view with yachts is very “Monaco”, but the beach itself is pebbles - not the most comfortable if you’re not on a sunbed. Renting a lounger with an umbrella feels nice, but for the price you kind of expect more. It’s definitely clean and safe, but also crowded and not very relaxing
Irene S — Google review
⸻ Review: Larvotto Beach – Serenity and Family Comfort in the Heart of Monaco Larvotto Beach, located in the heart of Monaco, is a beautifully maintained seaside spot that perfectly blends natural beauty with accessibility and comfort. Recently renovated, the beach offers a safe and welcoming environment for visitors of all ages — particularly families with children. The shoreline is a mix of soft gravel and sand, making it comfortable to walk and relax on. The calm, shallow waters are ideal for kids and casual swimmers, thanks to the protected bay structure that keeps the sea gentle even on windier days. What makes Larvotto Beach especially appealing is its easy access: it’s within walking distance from central Monaco, well-connected by public transport, and offers nearby parking. The promenade is flat and stroller-friendly, and the beach is equipped with clean public restrooms, showers, and facilities for people with reduced mobility. Along the seafront, you’ll find a variety of restaurants and cafés — perfect for a leisurely lunch, a quick bite, or simply enjoying a drink with a view. The area is peaceful, clean, and thoughtfully designed for a full day of seaside enjoyment. ⸻ Overall Verdict: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5) Larvotto Beach is a must-visit for anyone in Monaco looking for a relaxing and family-friendly beach experience. With calm waters, convenient access, and great amenities, it’s an ideal spot for a pleasant day by the Mediterranean — highly recommended.
Cristian R — Google review
The beach is not sand but not large stones either, very fine stones, so you can lay on the beach comfortably and walk without shoes and there is no sand to stick everywhere. The sea is very clean, gets deep pretty quickly within a couple of steps. The beach is not very big, it may be crowded in high season. I did not see any public cabins to change, and everyone was using towels to change into their swimwear. There are public toilettes and showers. There are breakwaters so the beach is protected from high waves. It is clean and it seemed safe to me. There is a police station right next to the beach.

I booked this place at 1.30pm and when I arrived they told me that they didn't have any tables available until 2.30pm. So they made us sit on 2 wooden benches and gave us 4 dirty and uncleared tables, with food served in cardboard bowls, very high prices for small portions. Do not take the pasta with clams, 29 euros for a small portion, the clams are of very poor quality, cooked terribly, the pasta if possible worse. The bathroom was dirty and the service was decent.

extremely disappointing, 1.5/5, not good enough to round up. we had the tuna tartare, the octopus, the lobster pasta, and a tiramisu. the tartare was very confusing and not good, maybe a 1/5 or 1.5/5. the octopus was nice 4/5. pasta was 2.5/5, the pasta was definitely not fresh, and almost half of the pasta on my plate was broken. did they snap it before they put it in the pot? the world will never know. that being said, the lobster was very fresh and the tomatoes in the dish were nice. tragic plating. good flavor on tiramisu but it had been made 3 days ago, 3/5. this could have been redeemed by the amazing view - the reason we went to the restaurant. however, we were deliberately seated in front of a pole and the edge of two windows, totally obscuring our view and breaking the atmosphere. we asked multiple times if we could be seated at the ocean view table and were told the other table directly on the waterfront was reserved. we then had this very very average meal and watched as nobody ever sat down at the other table. i’ve never had this type of experience. maybe im just not the target audience, lol. would not return or recommend, too many amazing restaurants in this part of france.

We opted to sit outside with the panoramic oceanfront view, which was perfect for catching the sunset. We went for some tipples and light bites, ALL of which were amazingly delicious. I could not resist having the foie gras (which I devoured) and the Spicy Monkey cocktail (with Monkey 47 Gin, exotic juice, passionfruit coulis, vanilla syrup and chilli)! Nestled along the stunning coastline, Hôtel Le Roquebrune is a charming family-run establishment that exudes warmth and hospitality. This cozy hotel features spacious rooms adorned with airy designs, offering breathtaking sea views from private terraces. Guests can enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi and indulge in delicious breakfasts that include an impressive selection of fresh fruits. The inviting atmosphere is complemented by friendly staff who go above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay.
Our room here was so comfortable and nice, the terrace was so inviting, a private sunny refuge with a lime tree growing on it. The show stopper is the view from the small restaurant. It;s a spectacular view of all the yachts parked near Monaco. The staff treated us great, and the breakfast was wonderful. although way too much food. We did not get a chance to eat dinner at the hotel, but would expect it to be just as good. This is not a hotel you should stay at if you have mobility issues. It was two sets of steep (one twisting) stairs, then another two sets outside, just to get to our room. I can't imagine it work for people with small children or mobility issues.

A HIDDEN GEM THAT DESERVES 10 STARS OUT OF 5 Le Roquebrune isn’t just a hotel — it’s a heartfelt experience. Tucked right next to Monaco, it beautifully blends the elegance of the Riviera with the warmth of true hospitality and the calm of a peaceful retreat. Every detail, every smile, every view — it all feels like the staff is giving their absolute best just to make your stay unforgettable. The atmosphere? Tranquil yet rich with charm. The history? Quietly inspiring. The view? Out of this world. It may be small, but Le Roquebrune is a slice of paradise on Earth. Photos can't describe the whole diamond, you need to touch it. Don’t think twice — book it. You'll thank yourself later.

Amazing small hotel with just around 10 rooms. So don't expect any overcrowded place. Expect lots of stairs. The whole hotel consists from multiple levels and buildings. Beautiful artistic place with beautiful view. Nice public terrace. Service was really attentive and helpful. Kitchen and food is also good and complementing the sea view.

Charming little hotel with amazing views, spotless and comfortable rooms and a very friendly service. Only a short bus ride from Monaco so a much better option than staying in the crowded Monte Carlo. Highly recommended!

Lovely place which is newly renovated. Staff is super friendly and helpful. 5 min walk to the beach and 15 min walk to Monaco. Only downside is that they charge for parking (a car is a must in this area) and food is pricey.

I can’t recommend this hotel enough. We stayed here for a couple of nights in June. The staff couldn’t do enough. The rooms & grounds were clean and welcoming. We had breakfast on the balcony with breath taking views of the seas. I would go out of my way to visit this jewel of a hotel again. Thank you to all the staff for going out and beyond with such outstanding service.

We had the most fantastic stay here, for my wife’s 40th and our anniversary. The staff were great, and very helpful. The location was excellent - Roquebrune’s medieval town itself was lovely, we walked into Monaco, and got a train / taxi to Menton, very varied and within easy reach of the hotel. Breakfast at the hotel and lunches at the beach club we very much enjoyed. I can’t recommend staying here enough. Outstanding hotel.

A beautiful beach in the town of Menton. Take a dip in the warm crystal clear waters with the old town in the background. When swimming out into the sea, you have a view of Italy on your left, Monaco on your right, and the old town of Menton in the back. Like most beaches in the area, it is rocky, so beach shoes are recommended. There is a yellow round kiosk with free lockers to store your valuables. There is also a free public bathroom in one of the archways, next to the stairs. There are a bunch of restaurants on the promenade but the ones we tried were ok, at best. Read the reviews first.

Very nice beach with smooth sand on the land and in the sea. There are also music or another show at the evening. Very nice fireworks on Bastille day. IF You want to put the parasol into sand - there is only thin layer of the sand and it is a bit problem to force the parasol to stay. Nevertheless very nice beach.

Parc du Cros de Casté is a nine-hectare park located in the hills of Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, offering stunning views of the sea and Menton. It's an ideal spot for family picnics and outdoor activities, with pathways around military forts and historical plaques providing explanations about the fortifications. Visitors can enjoy the natural beauty while learning about the area's history.
This place is special to me because I used to play here 45 years ago when I was a kid. This trip I returned to show my child, now 18, where I used to play. The area wasn’t so built up back then and the road to Gorbio wasn’t paved. Back then there were no guard rails, no parking lot, no placards explaining anything, and no trails. Now they have plaques with excellent explanations of the fortification of this portion of the Maginot line. I still wonder if they ever saw any actual action or only fired test shots. There is good parking. There is a dry toilet, compostable. There is also some outdoor exercise equipment. The views down the coast are stunning with Menton and Italy in one direction, and all of Cap Martin in the other direction. If you are not lingering, you can probably see the whole thing in half an hour.

(Translated by Google) The setting is very beautiful, that cannot be denied, the restaurant too, good sound system and pleasant waiters. These points are positive. However, regarding the cocktails... Paying €24 for a cocktail doesn't bother me when we are in a place with a high standard but, in this case the quality is not up to the price.. When I pay this price I expect a special touch, if only different glasses for each cocktail, beautiful presentations, revisited recipes, flavors that surprise... But here this is not the case unfortunately. The cocktails are simply classic and not so well made, in this case any other bar can do this for less than half the price. Quand je met ce prix je m’attend à une touche spéciale, ne serait-ce que des verres différents pour chaque cocktails, de belles présentations, des recettes revisitées, des saveurs qui étonnent..

Great place if you are a nerd for architechture. Great guides and an exclusive experience as the groups are small.

Amazing view over Monaco. Don't forget to disable your data roaming. EU tariffs don't apply in Monaco.

Book early, E1027 is not open without the tours. I did it twice very good to hear more than one guide's thoughts

Beautiful, must see tour if you love the work of Eileen Gray and Le Coubusier. Our guide was extremely informative and the visit lasted over 2 hours in total. Very inspiring, with stunning views over the coast. Unfortunately, we were greeted by a very unfriendly dark haired lady working on the reception who was rude and unhelpful, great shame. Apart from that excellent.

Extremely bureaucratic and customer unfriendly ticket office. This is not a recommendation for this beautiful villa. We booked our ticket via internet. Unfortunately with the wrong date. Three times we asked very friendly wether we could change the date. Following our request we got piles of documentation apparently used to support the buraucratic and very formal response: NJET - NJET - NJET. This approach is so unfriendly and old fashioned that we were shocked. This is absolutely not in the spirit of this beautiful project.

The two ladies that are looking after or responsible are just adorable. Thank you

We had a great experience with blue parapente. Because of weather conditions we had to postpone the flight to a day later and then we ended up having the best flight! Thierry and his co-workers are super friendly, easy going and kind. We felt safe every step of the way. Definitely recommend going with them! Thanks for having us!
Geertje J — Google review
Absolutely fantastic experience. Thierry and his crew are wonderful, and incredibly accommodating. We reserved at the very last minute and they were still able to fit us in, and brought in an extra instructor so that our whole group could fly at the same time. We felt extremely safe, and had so much fun trying the acrobatics. The views were breathtaking taking and all the instructors were amazing.

I've now flown twice with Thierry, once in Roquebrune Cap Martin and once in Monaco, and have already booked my next flight. Thierry is clearly extremely experienced and knows how to put you at ease. His passion for the sport is infectious and you come away from each flight not just with a massive smile but also a better understanding of the sport thanks to his patient teaching skills. Thanks again "Titou" and see you ASAP!!

Punctuality, precise information and constant concern for our comfort made this paragliding baptism a magical moment, living up to my hopes. Beach
Plage Solenzara is a beloved beach with various amenities such as a trampoline, private areas, and a pebble beach. It is conveniently located near the city stadium for sports activities. Visitors appreciate its central location in Roquebrun, making it easily accessible. The beach is known for its cleanliness and offers both public and restaurant/beach club sections. The cobblestone beach provides a unique experience, and the clear waters make it an excellent spot for families with children to play.
We've been here to prior year, loved the town and the beach and came back this year. This beach here was just across the street from our holiday rental. It's right in the middle of Roquebrun just by the main street. And it's a very pretty and very clean beach. Most of it is public for everybody to enjoy. Just at the northern end there's a restauran/beach club section. But even in high season there was plenty of space for everybody. It is a cobblestone beach. Best to wear some special beach-shoes to enter to avoid slipping. The water is as clean as the beach and is pretty warm. It's not a steep drop, it gets deeper quite slowly. So it's really suitable for everybody. A really pretty stretch of land. Not too busy, not too loud. Well maintained and visitors very respectful. Surely a reason to come back again another year.
