Nestled in the vibrant heart of Pompano Beach, Florida, the Pompano Beach Amphitheater is a must-visit destination for music lovers and culture enthusiasts alike. This stunning open-air venue boasts a seating capacity of 3,000, making it an ideal spot to catch live performances from renowned artists like Sammy Hagar and Boyz II Men. The amphitheater hosts a variety of events throughout the year, ensuring there's always something exciting happening.
For an outside event it was really nice. The Big Ass Fans were great to have to circulate the air. Seats were clean. The whole area was clean. There is enough space in between the rows you can get by people easier.

This was my first time at this Amphitheater and it exceeded my expectations. The place is very small which made the concert more intimate and close to the audience. I saw Violent Femmes on Friday, 28th march 2025. Amazing concert. The parking was a little bit complicated because there is one thin road with private homes to get to the main parking and since there is a light and it only one line, it had heavy traffic. This is actually that maybe the City or the Venue should improve in the future. Securities helped with the traffic to direct me to the parking lot. The amphitheater is outdoor with a huge roof on the top, no walls. There were plenty of vendors selling food, beer and liquor. Better food and wine than Kaseya. In general the vibes of the concert was very family oriented and old school people. Security all around the place.

We went to this Amphitheater ti hear the band Garbage! Sound was awsome, seats were comfortable. There are free parking in the park area (very close) or you can pay for parking next door. Food and drinks were available inside. Follow me for more recommendations on Instagram as @divine.southflorida ✨️

I recently attended the Good News Tour with Will Graham and Jeremy Camp at the Pompano Amphitheater, and I walked away genuinely impressed. The entire setup was executed with excellence, well-organized, seamless logistics, and a layout that made the venue feel both intimate and energizing. The weather was perfect, which amplified the overall experience and made the open-air environment feel refreshing rather than overwhelming. Parking was free, an immediate win, and the flow of traffic in and out of the venue was smooth. The facility itself was spotless. I couldn’t help but notice the positive atmosphere throughout the entire event. Maybe it was the fact that it was a Christian concert; when you bring believers together, the standard of respect and care rises. People were kind, patient, and you could feel the unity. From start to finish, I felt comfortable, safe, and inspired. I would confidently recommend this venue for future events and will absolutely be returning. The Pompano Amphitheater delivered an exceptional experience, no fluff, no hassle, just excellence.

Garbage playing at the Amphitheater. Great time. Went to Galuppis after for a good local cover band Sippin’ Fire

Really great and intimate in 3,000 seat concert venue. I was very surprised to see the entire Amphitheater Covered. Switchfoot & Blue October gave a great show as a bonus. But the venue was one of the cleanest I've seen. Public toilets were meticulously clean which was a surprise. 10/10

I'm here for the UB40 concert featuring Maxi Priest and The English Beat. Being my first time, finding the amphitheatre wasn't easy. Luckily I found a park staff that pointed me in the right direction. Arriving 30 early, I was able to find a decent park which was a few steps away from the amphitheatre. Security check went smoothly. There was a small group of vendors selling artist merchandise, various quick bites, and alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages. The amphitheatre was large with plenty of seats; exposed to the outside, which was shielded by a metal covering and big fans. I found my section and seat easily and waited for the show to begin. The show started promptly at 7pm with British Reggae vocalist, Maxi Priest, singing his hits: Close to You, Wild World, and a few more. Next was The English Beat. I never heard of this band, but they played some nice songs. Finally UB40 came on stage. Over two hours of hits such as Kingston Town, Bring Me Your Cup, Cherry Oh Baby, Red Red Wine, and many more. The band is celebrating 45 years and sang a couple of songs from their new album. The whole concert was a good vibe. Everyone was dancing and singing. I enjoyed myself so much that I didn't want it to end. There are much more artists performing at the amphitheatre, but none that I know of so I'm not sure when I would be returning. I'll be on the lookout.

Shopping
Nestled in the heart of Pompano Beach, Florida, Pompano Citi Centre is a vibrant outdoor shopping haven that perfectly blends retail therapy with dining and entertainment. Originally established in 1970 and recently revitalized, this open-air mall offers an inviting atmosphere where visitors can explore a variety of big-name department stores like JC Penney and Ross Dress for Less, alongside charming boutiques.
We went to the Lowes, And we realize they have free air for your tires. So got some air for the tires before we went on the road. Great air pressure, But no gauge.

We stopped by Pompano City Center, which is an outdoor shopping center with some big-name department stores as well as a few big-box and many specialty stores. There are also quite a few chain restaurants. We stopped to shop at several of the stores. It gad a nice vibe to it, not too big but big enough. There is lots of free parking close to the stores. There are no expensive stores, more like affordable quality stores. Some of the big-name stores are Macy's, JC Penny's, Burlington, TJ Maxx, Ross Dress for Less, Bath & Body Works, Lowe's, and Big Lots. Some of the chain restaurants are Chili's, Wendy's, Saito's Japanese Steakhouse, IHOP, Cold Stone Creamery, Five Guys, Wingstop, and many more. It was a nice drive from Miami Beach to Pompano Beach to do a little shopping and sightseeing. We plan to return again soon.
Astrida M — Google review
Has the potential to be amazing, especially since the actual main construction looks nice but a lot of the stores here are mediocre. It would be nice if they added more dining options. Definitely needs more plants though, some parts are very concretely and gray. Needs like a health food fast casual/dining
БΞGIИИIИG — Google review
This place has real potential, main setup looks great, but most of the shops are just okay. Would love to see more dining options, especially something like a healthy fast-casual spot. And honestly, it could use more greenery, some areas feel a bit too gray and concrete-heavy for that Florida vibe.

The disrespect for our flag is beyond belief. The management needs to be aware and take action. If you can’t fly the flags with respect, take down the flag pole!

Lowes has the best service and prices. They have the best selection. The stores are beautiful. So much better than Home Depot.

Garden
Nestled in Coconut Creek, Florida, Butterfly World is a vibrant venue that offers a botanical garden teeming with over 20,000 live butterflies. Founded in the 1980s by Ronald Boender and Clive Farrell, it stands as the world's largest butterfly park and the first of its kind in the Western Hemisphere. This enchanting park also houses an insect museum and provides an interactive experience for visitors.
A truly amazing place to visit! The amount of different butterflies and birds you can see is incredible. The whole place is clean and just beautifully done. Definitely loved feeding the birds in the Lorikeet encounter so bring some cash it costs 2 dollars.
Tyler J — Google review
I hadn’t visited in quite a while and met family there for an afternoon activity. The place has been expanded and redone. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Although we are in the Florida summer, the heat was tolerable. They do have fans running in select areas. Amazing experience seeing SOOOO many butterflies 🦋 in a natural habitat! So many colors and species. They also have an aviary and you can feed the birds. Two indoor buildings have insect and butterfly exhibits. If you’ve never been, I’d encourage to plan an afternoon stroll. A bit pricey yet it’s one of those…..once in a lifetime maybe. The little children (and big kids inside us) will enjoy!
Elena S — Google review
Visiting Butterfly World was an absolutely spectacular experience. From the moment we walked in, the place felt magical — full of color, peace, and breathtaking nature. My kids had an amazing time exploring the gardens, watching the birds, and especially being surrounded by the most beautiful butterflies. 🦋💛 It’s truly a wonderful place to connect with nature, learn, relax, and create special family moments. Everything was stunning, well-kept, and full of charm. A visit here is more than worth it — it’s unforgettable.

A magical place. It's impossible not to like it here. People of all ages will find it interesting. The butterflies and birds are incredibly beautiful, and feeding the birds is a special treat. There's also a large insect collection in the museum and flowers are blooming everywhere…

Very romantic, idyllic, replenishing as astonishing BUTTERFLY WORLD 🦋 Everything is arranged in pure beauty. They are true experts for flowers that nourish and are the most delicate and supporting nectar sources for the caterpillars as well as the butterflies (especially for the Region Southernmost Florida). There is a flower shop too with the plants which attracts your favorite butterflies the most. 🌺 If you want to make someone happy.. there are cute and artsy souvenirs in the gift-shop. Near the entrance you can refill the water into your personal beverage bottle in an ecofriendly way. THANK YOU to the whole crew 🐛🦋🐞🪲 Denise and Stefan PS We are looking forward to return and see the bug space too.

Its a wonderful place. So many butterflies and cute birds with lovely staffs. They were v kind. One of the staff was kind to even find a butterfly to land on my daughter when one of my daughter had butterfly and other didnt. She immidiately made other 1 happy. It was so thoughtful. ❤️
Nirupama P — Google review
I went here last week with my son and husband. The place was clean and well-maintained and it has a variety of areas, including a bird and insect attraction. The staff were very friendly and approachable. They were there to give information if requested, but didn’t cover around you or follow you. Most of the butterflies are inside a dome enclosure with netting on top so if you are thinking about planning a visit when it’s raining, you will get wet if you do not have proper gear. We spent about an hour and a half to two hours here which was plenty of time to see everything. I would go back again.
Melanie O — Google review
Very pleasantly surprised with the overall experience. The butterflies were abundant and beautiful. Gorgeous birds, and multiple zones, each with it's unique wonder. One of the best experiences was the ability to feed the lorikeet's. Make sure you eat before or after you come, because the food is all highly processed junk.

Lighthouses
Hillsboro Inlet Lighthouse, located about 2 miles north of Pompano Beach, is renowned for its stunning views and serves as a prominent landmark for mariners. This towering iron lighthouse features an automated fresnel lens and has been guiding seafarers for decades. While the lighthouse itself is on private property and inaccessible to the public, monthly group tours are available from Sands Harbor Resort and Marina.
Such a cool site worth checking out. Every time I know there's a lighthouse in an area, I make it a point to go see it. We walked from Pompano Beach about 1.5 miles and thought we could access it from our side - but got up close enough to take some cool pictures and video. Next time I would love to go up into the lighthouse. The area appears very clean and accessible.
Carolyn W — Google review
All we did was walk up from Pompano Beach which is about 30 minutes on the sand and view it. Very unique landmark!!! Tours are limited and we were not visiting during a tour time but it is worth setting your eyes:)
Tim H — Google review
First and foremost, this lighthouse is not available to just randomly visit. You must go on the lighthouse tour that is held one Saturday a month. Please make sure you visit their website for more information on the tours. The tours are put on by volunteers. I paid $35 for my ticket and felt that was fair. This is the 7th lighthouse that I've climbed and I'm trying to get that number higher, so I'll pay any amount to be able to visit! I visited on April 12th, 2025. I drove down from Orlando and arrived around 11am. I parked in the public parking lot across from Sands Harbor Resort & Marina. You pay for parking on an app on your phone. I used the cross walk to walk across the road and you can either enter the main doors of the resort, or walk to the right side where you will see cars parked for valet parking. There will be a gated entrance that you can go through and then on the dock you'll see the tent for the lighthouse, to the right, and volunteers there to help you. There is also a taxi boat that picks up passengers in the same location. There was a 2 hour wait to go to the lighthouse. The boat can carry 50 passengers, so it was a busy day for them. I didn't mind waiting, as I had nothing else to do and didn't want to lose my parking spot. There is a restaurant at the marina if you get hungry. The boat road over was great and relaxing. Any climb up a lighthouse is going to feel a little difficult but it was nice that they limited the number of people that went inside at one time to ensure that it wasn't crowded. The view from the top is absolutely gorgeous...that blue water!! All of the volunteers I spoke with were nice and helpful. There is a little gift shop table where you can get a souvenir before getting back on the boat to head back to the marina. The time spent at the lighthouse was an hour and the boat ride took 40 minutes round trip.
Lauren — Google review
Lighthouses are cool. What is not cool is when a city shuts it down for most of the year. You can see it from a distance but this is one that closes around October 11th each year.
Derek S — Google review
Great place to relax and watch life go by. Grab the water taxi have the kids play in the kids park. You have to pay for parking but it's $1 an hour and theres bathrooms there. Enjoy. There's also a small strip mall near by for food.
Leo M — Google review
We were unable to tour the lighthouse as there is only 1 tour boat per month. You cannot drive to the lighthouse because it sits on gated private property. The museum is on the inlet across from the lighthouse. Small but very interesting and informative. The volunteers are very well informed and wonderful to talk to. A must visit if your in Pompano beach Florida.

Opened to the public in 1985, this urban wilderness area boasts over 30 species of ferns, including the rare whisk fern. As you wander along its scenic two-mile walkway, you'll encounter diverse habitats filled with native plants and wildlife.
This is a neat place to walk if you live in the area. It’s quiet and peaceful. Don’t expect to see much wildlife during the middle of the day. It’s way too hot. Although I did see a cool woodpecker.

Magical vibes here 🧚! This place is beautiful great for families and kids. Extremely lush what an amazing walk. Be careful as the trails are overgrown in areas off the boardwalk. This place is definitely an experience feels so magical🧙‍♂️ you truly feel like your out in some grand forest the amount of plant life and different trees and berries growing around you along with the paths that are riddled with tree trunks and stones really show you Florida's untouched side. Immerse yourself in a true forest here🍄
SaRasta — Google review
Great park to do a nature walk. There is a boardwalk that will take you back to the start of the foot trails. You can stay on the boardwalk if you don’t want to do the trails. The longer nature path, takes you out to a cool overlook that’s a good spot to sit and relax. The trails are primitive and narrow in some spots, and opens up wide in others. In the summer time there will probably be a lot of bugs, and it can be muddy. I recommend going in the winter when it’s cold. I try to visit the park once or twice a year. I’ve personally seen iguanas, raccoons, gopher tortoises, and all the typical cool small south Florida wildlife, like bugs and lizards. I’ve seen one or two birds of prey, and a coyote.

Since my grandmother passed it has been an extra special place as she loved so many of the items found there over the years. I began my mini rabbit collection and add to it every year from antique shops around the states. The Hillsboro Antique mall has by far been a favorite. The wide variety of items and trinkets that are unique always make it an experience to visit. So sad this place is closed but on my last trip I found this adorable little rabbit. I hope they open again soon or relocate. All of the vendors were lovely and sold us fabulous items over the years.

"Visited for the first time and was so impressed with the incredible collection of antiques! Such a beautiful place to explore. It's bittersweet, though, as They will moving in 2-3 months. Wishing I had discovered this gem sooner!"

Great selection of interesting items and plenty to explore. The book nook is well organized, there’s multiple frames painting booths, and I saw beautiful collections of silver items. The atmosphere is welcoming and there’s plenty of space to walk at your leisure pace. The building is women owned and operated. I’ve met the young and good natured owner multiple times, she is accommodating and witty. Quick to resolve an issue and logical in what is best for everyone.

If you are looking for antiques of the most varied quality and class, this is the place! There is whatever you can think of! It takes a lifetime to explore it! Highly recommended as a walk and to find some gems. There are records at a good price and in excellent condition.

What a great antique mall. It is large and full of antiques. There are ladies in red shirts walking around and will take your items upfront and give you a tag for it. So easy to keep shopping. So many vendors. Well worth a stop. A lot of items have great low price.
Scott R — Google review
A little odd… I’ve been to hundreds of antiques malls so I found the management of the mall very odd compared to others. They are moving soon so hopefully some of these practices will be resolved. When I entered they were friendly and gave me a little slip of paper about booths that were 30% off…the implication was that they were moving soon so less to move. When I was almost done this woman came up to me with a numbered bracelet and said she would take my items to the front so when I was ready for checkout. I said I was fine and about ready to leave. She said she had to take my items. I ended up getting to the checkout before her. At checkout my items were all full price even though I had something from the discount booth. They said it only applied to items over $25. When I went to leave the booth did have a small note on the bottom about the $25 min. The small paper upon entry did not. Most antique malls apply discounts to the entire booth. This seemed deceptive. Further, their automatic sliding doors at the entry did not work and they had installed a handle on them you had to push the heavy door over. Surprised they have been able to do this since it does not meet the fire code or egress requirements especially with the occupancy of the space.

The new Antique Mall is up and running. Been a customer of their old store on Sample for 20 years. Loved the new vendors and happy to see all the great older vendors w new stock. I scored some gems and will be back soon.

Pompano Community Park is a vibrant city park in Pompano Beach, offering a wide range of activities for visitors of all ages. From sports fields and an outdoor pool to an open-air amphitheater and playgrounds, the park ensures there's something for everyone. Families can enjoy picnics with BBQ grills available, while sports enthusiasts can make use of the tennis courts, baseball complex, and basketball court.
New to the area and enjoyed my visit to the for the walking trail filled with nature. I enjoyed watching others excerise for good health. Pickled ball, basketball and tennis was highly active.

It's hard to decide what is the most disappointing thing about this park. Is it the trash all over the beautiful playgrounds? Is it the homeless people doing drugs in the nice gazebos next to the playgrounds? Is it the people who hang out on the playgrounds all night? It's pathetic how such a nice park has become so gross.

The Pompano Beach Community Park is an incredible venue for family-friendly events! I'm eagerly anticipating this October to see what they have in store this year. Last year's attractions were simply amazing, featuring a captivating smoke-breathing dragon that kids could crawl into and slide down its tail, electric bumper cars, a thrilling mini kids drop ride, and a spectacular show with talented singers impersonating the 3 witches from the hit movie Hocus Pocus! 🐉🚗🎢🎤 The park itself is expansive, with well-maintained grounds and plenty of beautiful trees 🌳. There's a playground for the little ones to enjoy and ample parking for everyone's convenience 🤸‍♀️🅿️. For updates on upcoming events at Pompano Beach Community Park, be sure to check with the city of Pompano Beach. Trust me, you won't be disappointed! We absolutely love it there! ❤️😍

We’ve been going to this park for the past several years and have always noticed a homeless presence in the pavilion directly next to the children’s fenced in playground. I’ve seen them smoking stuff(can smell weed), drinking beer, drugged out, walking through the kids park to access the electrical outlet at the top of the enclosed kids park or to cut through to use the restrooms. Today I watched a homeless man by the entrance ask a women alone with her child walking in for money, another guy walked through to grab his charger at the top of the park while smoking a black and mild. I’ve witnessed a man in a wheelchair, constantly hanging out inside the top going through the enclosed fenced in children’s playground smoking cigarettes, drinking beer. Cigarette buds littered inside the entrance of the kids playground everywhere. beer cans left in the kids playground because they stay overnight Weed packages by the infant play set. Gates always left open no latches recently reached out to the park recreational department to put in a request to have operating latches on the children’s playground gates when I receive the response, “that’s what parents are for”. Yet we have a new pickle ball court with operational gates with latches… she also told me you can’t put a lock on a gate meanwhile the gate directly opposite of the entrance has a deadbolt lock on it. I’ve emailed the mayor of Pompano city about this issue. upon our recent return We noticed that a latch was placed on the one gate leading to the homeless encampment 10 feet from the playground but not the others literal acknowledgment that THAT gate is an issue because of the homeless problem.lol can’t make this up. I’ve called public safety the police department and it seems as though for private paid events, you can have an officer present for constant duration of the event, but we can’t have a single present officer all day at the kids park to ensure children’s safety until the issue dissipates. The homeless presence is there because they know the police presence isn’t there. It’s quite pathetic and honestly, it’s disheartening, reckless, and endangering to the children. This is an ongoing problem. This problem has been presented by the community as you can read in the most recent review. I have brought up this issue to several park rangers they say they are all aware of this problem as a lot of ppl complain and there’s nothing that can be done because the city of Pompano is not enforcing anything. Though he did say the next week should change because they are gonna start cracking down on the homeless issue. Let’s cross our fingers but not hold our breath… and just to note i don’t care if your homeless, smoking dope, being a self damaging individual, just don’t do in front of kids. Have respect for them even though you have none for your self..

One of the most complete parks. All kinds of fields, Pickleball, Tennis, Basketball, Baseball, Swimming pool. Playgrounds. A nice trail for walking and exercise.
Maria P — Google review
Don't take a walk over here unless you know where the designated restrooms are otherwise the tennis court office and the pool area will not allow you to use the bathroom, as if you're supppse to take a walk without staying hydrated. Very disheartening for a first timer at this particular park. Clearly the two ladies this morning at both offices need my customer service training and learn to be more welcoming and understanding.😏

Pompano Beach Fisher Family Pier is a popular public fishing spot known for its stunning ocean views and resident pelicans. The newly renovated pier offers a great sightseeing and fishing experience. Nearby, visitors can enjoy the island-style Lucky Fish Bar and Grill for refreshing drinks or head to Beach House for craft cocktails with breathtaking views of the Hillsboro Lighthouse.
Compared to other piers like my local one (Dania) this pier seemed to be quite cleaner. The bait cutting stations were CLEAN and no rotting fish smell everywhere, indicating the people up here are mindful as well. Fishing price is doubled what you pay in Dania ($6 instead of $3) but it balances out and is a better value because parking is half the price here and it’s FREE for spectators whereas Dania charges $2 for that. Overall because of cleanliness and value I give this place a 5/5 . I didn’t see a lot of people catching fish but that just could’ve been the time of day. I will come back again with my gear.

Not crowded at all by the pier - came in mid October 2025. A bit cloudy, but still sunny periodically. Pier was lovely, beach was great. The pier has underwater cameras set up that you can access with a QR code for free. For an easy beach day, 10/10

Pompano Beach beach and pier are the golden jewel of the town. They have a wonderful walkway and the pier is the best in south Florida. The beach is wide and lots of room for the family. There are plenty of facilities/ restrooms, restaurants and a few shopping beach wear stores. This is definitely worth a day visit for a day at the beach, a stroll on the the beach walk, a meal at the many restaurants or sitting and people watching. While there are many wonderful restaurants with great food you have to stop at the Briny Irish Pub. This pub has great food, but gives you not only a tourist welcome, but a feel of hometown Pompano Beach!

Love this beach and the surrounding area! The Pier is my favorite spot to sit, relax and people watch! Nice shade on hot days! It's a clean beach and the area is clean! Restroom is nearby and the restaurants are inviting! Plenty of paid parking and I love how the price is reduced in the Fall. Something for everybody and a little park for kids, as well. I love the discount days specials especially at the restaurant directly across the street from the Pier. The area feels very safe with patrols in sight.

This was a waste of time for real, I visited for The House of Poe's Horrors immersive Poem reading. On Event bright website it was advertised that the event would be an hour and a half. I came nine minutes late due to an uber driver and I asked the employees waiting at the door and elevator if I could still catch the show or if I can wait for the next show. I was told by multiple employees I was good to go and told me to take the elevator to go up to the 2nd floor. I went to the restroom when I saw a line at the event entrance door. When I came back out the line were gone and the ushers sent me in. I liked the haunted horror house, I screamed my head off and cried. The actors made me laugh since there were so much jump scares. The end of the haunted house opened out into a room where the event seating area was held, I looked at my phone for the time. It was 5:15, 15 minutes from the event starting. A preformer came up, said his Poe poem and that was it. 5:30 and the event was done. Three major dings: false advertising for the duration of the event, employees not allowing me to stay for the 5:30 show since I was a few minutes late and they knew there were a 30 minute show, and lastly why the haunted horror house and then the poem performance readings? Strange setup for this event and not what I expected at all. Wont be back. Didnt even take pictures inside I was so annoyed.

Great first time here! Been living in this area for 4 or so years and never been here. The area was clean, the security that was there was so personable and inviting. We were a few minutes late, but a staffer directed us to some open seats. She was friendly! The jazz show was amazing! Thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance and group that performed. Even the host made us feel like anything Pompano was hosting, we needed to make a point to attend. It’s a nice place to see not just get tore down and build on it like every other larger properties that are turning into astronomical priced or government grubbing section 8 units. This is a beautiful area , 10th that is a blessing to have the air port and big city park , let’s try to find a way to get the middle class working ( class to buy homes here that take pride in there home and yard to keep this area charming . I already have seen so many buildings go to the way side ( Pompano should follow a page from Delray Beach’s book ( put us open tennis courts or something similar) and then draw the line just east of Dixie Hwy , make that all historical district ( like Swinton ave and Atlantic blvd.Delray Beach) that’s where many people who lived here for decades got a big chunk of value on there property and kept the charm & cleaned up that area that was really bad turned into a safer neighborhood at least a bit .lots of change coming . Let’s hope that we see a historic district and community for a better future. This traffic and all these cheep apartment developments are just going to make more traffic noise and trash from the mix of subsidized housing = drug abuse and poverty behavior that will never ends good for a high income community and small businesses owners run off by big corporations and homes to paper thin walls , homeless drugs and riff raff Traffic no parking and they will all come east to the beach if you think it’s busy now on the weekends wait 2 years and lmk what you think about it then . Need less to say not a lot to de here only a little bit of history that’s nice and a good place to hold a small wedding or some type of political event. Town event should have use of that for sure . Car show , gun show , garage sale for fishing gear or tools . Cigar and wine tastings ect . Not just a look at a house w/ old furniture in it . If you wanna see a good house museum go to Flagler ‘s home in Palm Beach. I wouldn’t waste your money on seeing that museum myself .

I remember when this house was located on Dixie Highway and used as a homeless encampment. I drove past it every day and it was so sad to see it in it's decrepit state. Since then the house has been moved to it's new location and lovingly restored. It's picture perfect now. I visited recently when they were hosting their sixth annual classic car show. Our family has a 1915 Model T that was displayed. The house was built in 1916 making our car one year older than the house! A five dollar admission got you into the show and a home tour making for a fun afternoon. They had a food truck and DJ in addition to all of the cars on display. I always love to pay a visit to the house. On the ground floor there is a living room, dining room and kitchen complete with butlers pantry. The second floor houses a room they use for changing exhibits (on this occasion there was clothing worn by the Seminole nation), a child's room, and a bedroom with a wedding dress. The wood used in the house has been completely restored and it smells so good, like a natural pine air freshener. There are two gazebos on the grounds and the house makes a lovely back drop for the weddings held there. Also every October the Women's Rotary Club of Pompano hosts a haunted house. My daughter volunteered this year doing make up for them and it's always a popular event. There aren't too many historical gems in Pompano so this house is a real treasure. It's definitely worth a visit, even more so when they hold an event.

It is a great place. Tie downs are expensive. Compared to similar airports. The staff is peasant. Fuel is 2 us more than most places. One important item is that at least they are closing the gates now from 8:30 or 9 pm. It is a scary area at night. Security is not very fluent. Very nice.

Learning to fly at this private airfield has been an unforgettable experience. From day one, I felt welcomed and supported by a team of passionate and knowledgeable instructors who truly love what they do. The facilities are well-maintained, the aircraft are in excellent condition, and the atmosphere is both professional and friendly. What really stood out to me was the personalized approach to training. The instructors took the time to tailor each lesson to my pace and learning style, which made the process not only effective but also incredibly enjoyable. I always felt safe, confident, and encouraged to push my limits. Thanks to this amazing team, I’ve achieved a lifelong dream and now feel truly at home in the sky. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to learn to fly.

As a passenger, this airport is great. Very quick, no waits, easy to get to. I flew out of here right at the start of covid. Best thing about flying out of this airport (like most airports that you would fly private out of) is the fact that you can just show up just before the time of your flight. No need to wait for security, and there are no long wait times. For the company which we used, we were taken to the aircraft once we arrived, and we put our luggage in the plane, and it was go time! If you are a passenger then customs (if flying internationally) would usually be done before you arrive by the company which you use. (always be sure to double check with your company). Airport is nice and well maintained, very clean and hygienic.

One of the best casino experiences I've ever had! 🎰✨ From the moment I walked in, everything felt top-tier — stylish interior, friendly staff, and a vibrant atmosphere that made the night unforgettable. The game selection was outstanding: a mix of classic tables like blackjack and roulette, plus a wide variety of slots with exciting themes. Dealers were professional and polite, and I really appreciated how the staff took the time to explain the rules without making anyone feel rushed or out of place — perfect for both newcomers and seasoned players. This place reminded me of being in Las Vegas. The atmosphere is incredible. There is NO smoking inside there, so the air quality is much cleaner than the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida, and also, Seminole Coconut Creek. Check it out for yourself. It was quite small and rather dark. There were not a lot of machines. Only one place was open for food on a Tuesday. That deli actually had excellent food at reasonable prices. They were very few beverage servers on the floor. They had a 10X tier credit promotion that I kept track of, but no one at the Rewards booth could give me an accurate count of what I had earned. I needed a few more points to get my Diamond. It must have been a difficult day, as all of the reps were not very helpful. The friendliest people were the cleaners who were around the machines. This is the only Caesar's in FL but it was a tad difficult to get to.

Reason for 3 stars is due to very tight machines and low payout rates. Electronic Blackjack is 6:5 and on the weekends it's $10 minimum which is too much. The comps here are also pretty weak unless your moving thousands through the machines and even then they give very little vs coin through.

My husband and I enjoyed our little outing, lunch and playing games. We did not receive any free play as promised but all worked out as we was winners. That made trip there even better, we plan to go back again soon.

Great casino! No roulette tables though! Smoke-free is a nice bonus. Excellent espresso martinis! Lots of bi curiosity but that's the state of Florida in general!

Nice little Floridian casino 🎰 very clean and they have great options for slots, video poker, table games and entertainment
Shanel — Google review
I believe this casino just changed names/ownership so you do see some signage messed up or in the process of changing. Outside of that everything is very clean and nicely kept. In town for vacation just north of here. Easy travel down i95. Very nice spacious poker room. Played in one of the Florida state poker championship events and it was a great turnout. I wish they used poker atlas over bravo but outside of that everything was great. Floor and dealers were great. Chips weren’t too dirty. It was slightly hot for a poker room. Free self serve drinks and there was a food menu to order off of.

Market
Nestled in the heart of Pompano Beach, the Festival Marketplace is a vibrant indoor shopping haven that stretches a quarter-mile long. Originally established as an outlet mall in 1986, it has since evolved into a charming European-style market brimming with over 250 shops. Visitors can explore an eclectic mix of offerings, from trendy clothing and unique jewelry to fragrant cosmetics and delightful home goods.
Very festive where it counts! What was once an outlet mall now serves a much more independent and fun niche. Many micro businesses pop up and they are all interesting, quirky, but most of all fun. Customer service does vary from location to location so definitely account for that and leave the Karens at home.
Harrison D — Google review
Festival Marketplace in Pompano Beach, Florida, offers a vibrant shopping experience with the charm of an indoor flea market. Originally a Pompano outlet mall, this iconic venue has served the community since 1991 and now boasts an eclectic mix of vendors. You’ll find a wide variety of products, from antiques and collectibles to fresh produce, all under one roof. There’s also a unique pickle stand, a TV products store, and a range of specialty booths offering everything from clothing to home décor at bargain prices. Adjacent to the marketplace is a Dollar Tree, making it convenient for those looking to grab essentials after their shopping spree. A particular highlight is the expansive antique mall, where rare treasures await discovery. Whether you’re seeking everyday items or looking for something out of the ordinary, Festival Marketplace caters to all shoppers. However, this beloved marketplace is set to close its doors in August 2025, marking the end of an era. With the countdown to closure already underway, now is the perfect time to visit and take advantage of the unbeatable prices before it’s too late. From fresh produce to hidden treasures, Festival Marketplace remains a must-visit for anyone in the area. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this spot offers a nostalgic shopping experience worth exploring before it disappears.

What a great idea. Convert an old mall into a marketplace. All under one roof and air conditioning. You can find just about anything you want. So many vendors. But they do have vacant spaces Clothing, jewelery, phone accessories and so much more. There is also a food court and antique mall.

This is my kinda place, kinda like a flea market with odd and cool stuff from all over. Fresh food market located in the food court area, small kiosk with a man polite and funny who sales dried fruit and veggies and nuts, absolutely delicious! Antique shop with stunning and beautiful items. My pictures were more from the weird stuff I saw in the antique store, but believe me, there are very nice and beautiful items there. I bought a big machete from one of the shops! Please follow for updates and more reviews.

I'm sure at one time, even before COVID, this was still a delightful place to walk around and browse. A lot of the shop owners, however, did not survive the pandemic and I agree with another reviewer who called it a "ghost town." For years, there have been 50 times as many empty booths as occupied ones. Furthermore, The intention of a flea market is to offer quality goods at a reduced price from department stores or other retailers. However, the prices are overinflated and there is no real bargain! They charge the same $30 for a bottle of mascara as Ulta Beauty and $400 plus for a pair of sapphire studs that doesn't even weigh .002 grams! I'm not necessarily expecting to pay a dollar but I'm also not expecting to get ripped off. When you try to negotiate with the vendors, they become nasty and threaten you! Not exactly the spitting image of a European marketplace. Not to mention the place has not been updated since 1985 and the hours of operation have not changed since the majority of women have joined the workforce and are no longer available between 10am-5pm during the week. So it does cater to older, retired people. The clothing is also cheap quality and outdated. I get that most things can be purchased online but that takes the joy & social aspect out of shopping. I just think it's essential to keep up with the times.

Great place where you could find a lot of things for yourself and your family! Super fun time a lot of treasure ! Toys ,hats ,shoes ,kitchen and home goods, luggages and furniture! You could also fix your watch is here and jewelry
G G — Google review
Excellent place to hangout and shop. This "sort of" flee market is indoor and air conditioned so heat or rain isn't an issue. Shops are priced slightly on the higher side but they negotiate just like any other flee market so you can get some discount. They have grocery store and a food court with live music. There is a small kids play area as well. I would highly recommend for locals and tourist to check this place out.
Fahd Y — Google review
Great place to come spend some time, they had an event that I took my Son to and then stayed for the shopping. They have over 350 stores in the indoor mall. Not sure why it is called flea market as everything is new and they have absolutely everything!! A huge antique store, a farmers market, teeth whitening, clothing, handbags, an amazing Judaica store, sunglasses, handbags, alterations, full food court and so much more I can't even write it all in. Definitely a cool place to check out!!

It was 5 bucks, and big pool was fancy, cool. There are not many ppl in the morning, that I could swim peacefully. Although there were elder class and kids class but they do have class in separate area which dose not have any lane, so it was really nice to concentrate to swim itself. I would give 5 stars for this nice facility. You do not need a reservation for this, they just charge you 5 dollars for entry. Please keep your bags together near your swimming lane, as they do not provide any lockers for them

Twin outdoor pools 1- 50meter 1- 25 meter. Reserve lanes up to 48 hours in advance. Great staff! Weekends, tend to be crowded in Winter. The Aquatic centers top priority is Swim Meets, and Elementary School children. As such, the pool closes for many events, including the Pompano Seafood Festival. The only negative is the trees surrounding the pools, they shed their leaves into the pools.

from start to finish everyone was very professional, private guide Mason was excellent, he made sure the dive was safe and beautiful and even managed to film and take pictures of the dive. I would definitely recommend hiring a private guide.
Stefan F — Google review
I can’t say enough amazing things about Mason as a scuba instructor. From the moment we met him, he made both me and my son feel completely at ease. His calm, confident energy was exactly what we needed as first-time divers, and I could instantly tell we were in good hands. Mason is incredibly knowledgeable and skilled, but what really stood out was his ability to teach in a way that felt both empowering and reassuring. He took his time explaining everything clearly and made sure we felt safe and prepared every step of the way. When I struggled with a few parts of the dive, he remained patient, attentive, and supportive—never once making me feel rushed or judged. His presence underwater was just as steady. Knowing he was watching over us gave me complete peace of mind, and I could tell he genuinely cared about our experience and safety. This wasn’t just a lesson—it was an unforgettable adventure made even better by Mason’s professionalism, kindness, and natural ability to connect with people. My son hasn’t stopped talking about how “cool” Mason is and how he helped protect us from a barracuda! Highly recommend Mason to anyone—from nervous beginners to experienced divers. He’s the kind of instructor who turns something intimidating into something empowering and fun. Thank you, Mason. We’re already looking forward to our next dive with you!

Always an excellent experience at Force-E in Pompano for their outstanding customer service, friendly environment, and range of services. I have stopped by on and off for years when diving in the area, and probably took up too much of the staff's time, most recently after 6 days of advanced wreck and trimix diving. Very grateful to them for their fast fills and variety of tec gases available. Highly recommended.

Force-E Pompano Beach was so amazing to work with! We completed our scuba classes out of state and needed a place in Florida to help us do the certification dives and Force-E made the process so simple and easy. Jorge was the best instructor- so patient and kind! He communicated everything clearly to us and organized the dives around our schedule. Everything was seamless- from scheduling, to equipment rental to the 4 dives, a wonderful experience!

I had the pleasure of working with Jorge on getting my open water certification. An overall outstanding teacher and instructor. He made sure that I understood everything that I needed to get me out into the water. On top of being a great guy he was able to accommodate a last minute private lesson over a short time period. His flexibility and planning got us done efficiently and precisely. Thank you Force E and it was a pleasure working with you.

Used to be amazing to shop here. We got some pickles, sandals, had a snack, and I got a foot massage. Most vendors told us they would be open until March-ish. Looks like the Amazon deal went through this time. I'd say that more than half of the vendors are already gone. I'll visit again next week. Make sure to get the business cards or telephone numbers of the vendors.

A true FIVE STAR experience and gallery that is unmatched in Florida. Working with Adi and Eran is always a pleasure. Their custom framing shop not only has an incredible selection but does an incredible job delivering top quality product. I have had family pictures framed, purchased art and have been educated on artists and styles that can be seen in their gallery. Adi and Eran want you to walk away not only happy and with a beautiful piece but also with more knowledge than what you had when you first entered their showroom. They are extremely knowledgeable and I recommend for anyone that is in the market for a new piece of artwork or framing to visit them. Always an amazing experience and find exactly what I am looking for. My family considers them to be close friends now!

We drove from Lakeland Florida to purchase art here! Wow what a great experience. First Roberta showed us around. Once she figured out what we wanted she even showed us items still in the back warehouse. Great selection and fair prices. Bought 4 pieces and they were expertly packaged and shipped to us. One did not work so they exchanged it no problem. We went back and bought 2 more pieces. Owners are awesome! We will be back!
Danny C — Google review
Nice art and reasonable prices, however, my experience has been horrendous. I ordered 7 pieces. 2 Came damaged with holes in frames and scratches in pictures. Someone had tried to hang them and must have had a nail move. The pics look horrible so I Returned them. Art connection agreed to repair or replace them. Rather than repair them They brought back same piece damaged 2x!! Same damage but covered with cheap patch that looked like white out. One piece hadn’t even been touched. It was still the same exact damage as when we sent it back. 4 big nail holes and a scratch across the top center of the picture. For the price we paid we expected a better quality and especially better customer service. To say the least, we’re Very disappointed with art connection.
Marshall S — Google review
By far the best place to buy low, medium, or high end works of art. We have come here on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed. Plan on spending at least 2-3 hours as their inventory is enormous. As an added bonus, you can take the desired piece home to get an evaluation of how it looks in real life. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

it's a true southern BBQ place food is excellent best pulled pork I have ever had and the sauces are all delicious. baked beans we yummy . sweet tea was flowing.
John F — Google review
The 3 rating is mainly based on how we felt about our food. We love barbecue and were excited to see this place had good ratings... but we were very disappointed. More on that below. Our server was very good up to the point where our food was delivered. She never did come back to ask if the food was okay. We certainly could have flagged her down, but I think it's important for a server to check in to ensure the customer has everything they need and that there are no issues with the order. We ordered pulled pork, ribs and chicken wings with a side of green beans, apple slices in cinnamon, mac and cheese and the corn nuggets. The good- The corn nuggets were very tasty. They were deep fried, which I don't typically like, but a few reviews mentioned them so I took a chance. They are coated in honey sauce and they actually are very tasty and have actual kernels of corn in them. Our server recommended the mac and cheese and it was indeed very good. My husband's apple slices were also a win. The bad- My pulled pork was incredibly hot and dried out. I really suspect that the pork was cooked much earlier on if not a day earlier and then microwaved. I make it myself and I've never made it this dry. My husband's spare ribs were mostly dried out also, although he said one of them was moist and he liked it. However, his smoked chicken wings were also dried out, although they did have a good flavor. I truly get the feeling that nothing was cooked fresh, but was microwaved or deep fried on demand. At a genuine barbecue restaurant, you should smell food smoking as you approach, but that was not the case here. Also, my husband said his green beans were canned, so if you don't like canned green beans, go with a different option! This was a free comedy night going on. That's the reason we came - my husband found the writeup about it on Eventbrite. We were excited about it since we are on a tight budget and it was nice to be able to have free entertainment. What we didn't realize was that it was starting an hour later than what was advertised (said 7, but started at 8). Plus, we also did not realize that there would be about a dozen comedians testing out their new jokes to see if they were good or not. Most were not, but there was a sparse turnout / crowd so it was a little awkward because we are not mean people and we didn't want these poor fellas hanging out to dry up there. So, we felt compelled to laugh and be very attentive even when we didn't really think things were all that funny or engaging. Sorry for the criticism, but it's just something that you might want to be aware of if you are planning to attend.

The food was amazing! I had the brisket platter which was filling and the portions were great. The mac & cheese was creamy and yummy. I recommend the fried okra to start - fried to perfection! Also recommend the sweet tea - I did half sweet half unsweet. My family members loved their ribs and wings. We all took a little home as leftovers. The restaurant is on theme and funky in a lovely way.

Excellent food great price! The fried pickles are awesome miniature fried spears with an excellent crunch. The burger was hearty and flavorful. Pulled pork was great! We hope to be back soon!!! The waitress was very kind and an excellent baker...I ate the brownie and forgot to take a picture...so here is the last bite🤗

Wow. Wow. WOW. Absolutely LOVE the update the 26 Degree’s went through. We loved the space before, but now the space is SO much more inviting & homey. Super vibey as well. From start to finish the service was top notch & the food was PHENOMENAL. The new menu & speed of service is amazing and you can’t not talk about how awesome the beer was. Everything was to style and they have an amazing of selection of beers as well. Can’t wait to go back, drink more beer & taste the rest of the menu!

First time coming by after the remodel and the place looks amazing! We tried their food and it was very good, will definitely be back. But for the people that used to go before dogs are no longer allowed inside only outside in the patio which needs more fans.

Great brewery and restaurant all wrapped into one. The craft beer is fantastic, Ziko’s Rage is my favorite, they also have mixed drinks. The food is fantastic. I like that they tequanos the most. Brie and Tess behind the bar are the best. Jacob is an extremely attentive waiter. Family/pet friendly, plenty of space inside not to mention lots of parking. Always a good time.

We've been to 26 Brewing for beers, but this was our first time eating the food. Hands down, they have the best smash burger and wings around! The best part was our server, Loren. Fantastic customer service, knowledge of beers and the menu, along with being very friendly. What a great experience!

We recently visited 26 Degrees to celebrate my mother-in-law's birthday. It was the perfect place for a relaxing afternoon. There was a live band playing and great bar food, including coconut shrimp, gator bites, hot pretzels and more. We tried many of the different varieties of beer, most of which we liked! The service was top notch! Our server, Bri, was super friendly and offered great recommendations. Definitely recommend this place!

We just hosted our 15th Annual Treasure Hunt with Gold Coast Scuba at 26° Brewing Co., and the experience was phenomenal from start to finish! David and the entire team went above and beyond to make our post-dive celebration unforgettable. From the moment we started planning, David was responsive and accommodating—offering us plenty of food options for our group of 15 hungry divers. They even surprised us with custom, dive-themed menus featuring our event name and a fun underwater touch. It was such a thoughtful detail that made the day feel extra special. The service was attentive, quick, and friendly. The food was just as impressive as the service. I had the smash burger (which was absolutely delicious), but I’m already planning my next visit just to try the fish and chips—they looked incredible! We couldn’t have asked for a better venue to wrap up our big day. Thank you, 26 Degrees, for the hospitality, the vibes, and the amazing food. We’ll be back again and again!

The Hillsboro Inlet Park is a charming and well-designed park located on the Hillsboro Inlet, providing breathtaking views of the bridge, the ocean, and the constant flow of boats. However, its most impressive feature is undoubtedly the historic Hillsboro Inlet Lighthouse. The park offers visitors a serene environment to relax and enjoy their surroundings, with convenient on-site parking available. It's an ideal spot to take in the beauty of the lighthouse and immerse oneself in nature's wonders.
This teeny tiny little piece of real estate is one of my favorite places on the planet! The park is great, the museum is beautiful, and then there is the water, the palm trees, the boats, the bridge, and of course...the Hillsboro Inlet Lighthouse. And NEVER any snow! If it gets better than this, I want to go there too.
Chris R — Google review
Beautiful corner spot right on the Inlet, with a perfect view of the Lighthouse! You can dock a boat there and the Water Taxi stops there too! Very calm & quiet, nice place to sit & relax with gorgeous views! Plenty of benches, picnic tables & BBQ Grillls, some tables are under the shade of a Gazebo. They even have a Mini Lighthouse Museum & Gift Shop and clean public restrooms! Woo-hoo! They got it all! 👍💯 🙌 ✝️ 🏝🌞🌊🛳🛥🚤🌅🧡💙

Deerfield Highlands Nature Preserve, located in Pompano Beach, is a unique natural habitat that supports the growth of early successional species. It's an open sand area that provides a tough environment for wildlife to survive in the subtropical climate. Visitors can immerse themselves in the beauty of the Florida sand pine scrub and appreciate its endangered status.
Pretty straight forward very small. It's nice though. There's water.

This is basically just a playground, and there’s some sidewalk going around the preserve area. I came to look for some trails to walk but left a little disappointed. I could see it being a good place for families to being their kids for the playground, but don’t expect jogging areas! That being said, it’s a pretty area.

Ali Cultural Arts, located in a former 1930s home, is a hub for local and international artworks, live performances, and classes. The center celebrates the African-American community in Pompano Beach through exhibitions, live performances, and cultural events. Visitors can explore galleries featuring curated artists at Artblend Gallery or learn about the heritage of prominent families at the Sample-McDougald House.
Ali Cultural Arts is truly a gem nestled in the heart of Pompano Beach. This beautiful venue continues to stand out as a vibrant hub for creativity, culture, and community connection. Whether it’s a rotating art exhibit that showcases local and emerging talent or a live performance that brings the neighborhood together, there’s always something meaningful happening here. The energy of the space is inviting, and it feels like a place where both artists and guests are genuinely welcomed and celebrated. One of my favorite features is the covered outdoor area—perfect for everything from intimate gatherings and pop-up markets to private celebrations or community events. It’s versatile, shaded, and has a stylish yet relaxed vibe that makes any event feel extra special. While still under construction with the addition of their brand-new black box theater, the possibilities for dynamic programming have only expanded. It’s exciting to see a space so dedicated to uplifting the arts and enriching the community. I’m confident we’ll be seeing even more incredible events, performances, and opportunities for engagement in the near future. If you haven’t experienced Ali Cultural Arts yet, make it a point to stop by. There is generally hot food for purchase, very tasty and not overly expensive. However, I want to share that last night was a benefit show for Valerie Tyson and Ms. Beverly did her thing organizing this event. It was better than a Broadway production! The bands were fantastic and each quickly changed so that the new band could perform. It was organized beautifully and I must say that it was Fantabulous! Thank you Ali Cultural Center and staff! Please bring back the former DJ /MC (Alphonso). He kept the crowd energized and got people excited and dancing. Bring him back please!!!!

Golf course
Pompano Beach Golf Course is a part of the Broward County golf scene, offering 36 championship holes for golf enthusiasts. The course features a well-stocked golf shop where players can find new gear and equipment. Additionally, the annual Pompano Beach golf tournament and MLK City Golf Championship are popular events held at this location. Visitors can also explore other nearby private courses like Leisureville Fairway or take advantage of free services at Deer Creek Golf Club's 18-hole champion course.
It was actually the first course I played when I moved down from Jersey in 1998. Played both courses for at least 5 years. I love both tracks. The Pines plays right along the airport, and you'll see the Goodyear blimp taking off or landing. The raccoons are plenty and will steal your goodies, so keep them hidden. Some tough holes out there so play well. Galuppi's is a great restaurant linked to the proshop. Great views, great food and great atmosphere. The staff followed all social distancing guidelines. The Palms course is walking only but very inexpensive. Lots of fun out there. Enjoy. Driving range on site.
John B — Google review
The Pines Course at Pompano Beach is a great course, has great conditions, offering a challenging yet rewarding golfing experience. However, currently, playing can be a bit of a challenge due to the $95 rate combined with cart path only restrictions throughout the entire course, regardless of weather conditions. Despite this, the greens and surrounding areas maintain their pristine condition, as usual of this establishment. Yet, there's room for enhancement, particularly in the tee boxes and fairways. Overall, it's a fantastic course, but there's an opportunity for improvement in the overall conditions, and a reassessment of pricing would surely be welcomed by the local community.
Connor D — Google review
Played both the palms and pines course here. The palms course is pretty terrible the fairways have massive sand patches and the rough is non existent. The greens are pretty good on the palms course and role very pure. The pines course is amazing. Everything about the pines course is great probably one of my favorite courses in South Florida. My advice is to avoid the palms at all cost and shell out the money for the pines its very worth it.
Ben L — Google review
This review is for the PINES course. Wow! This was one of the better public courses I have played in Broward county. The greens, fairways, bunkers, and rough were well manicured. It has a lot of forging holes. Not much water. The staff was very nice. Great little chipping and putting area. The range isn’t the best, but it is just fine for warming up. I will DEFINITELY be back.
Jason G — Google review
The golf facility under consideration possesses both positive and negative attributes. Its convenient proximity to my area, surrounded by a picturesque park and air park, is an advantage. However, the quality of the golf course leaves room for improvement. The accessibility of the club house to the public without requiring annual fees is a definite positive, and the staff consistently deliver excellent service. Nonetheless, the maintenance of the greens and the standard of water treatment could be enhanced. These aspects, along with the availability of seating at the bar during peak times, are areas that warrant attention. Despite these drawbacks, the facility remains a valuable resource for local golf enthusiasts, particularly during the off-peak season when securing tee times and seating is more manageable.
Derek B — Google review
I've been playing the Pines course almost every Saturday and Sunday now for about 2 years. I had started considering getting the membership, and even buying a house in Pompano and moving there, all because of this course. I am writing this review with profound disappointment. The standard of customer service provided by some of your starters and at the pro shop falls far below even basic professional expectations. Even when they are alone at the starter's shed or the pro shop, they don't say hello when I walk up, their replies are curt, without even the courtesy of eye contact. I asked one starter how to join the Sunday game, and in an abrupt tone said "I don't know", not offering any guidance. I had to ask 2 or 3 additional questions before he said "go to the pro shop" (in the same tone). At the pro shop, the treatment was the same. Same tone, no eye contact. I had to ask 3 or 4 questions before I got someone's phone number to call. This is just a single example, but not the only one. I belive all the starters know me by name, but only 1 says hello when I arrive. Even calls my name when I'm 50 yards away walking up. I have since started exploring other courses, including private clubs not withstanding their high initiation fees. Playing a pleasant course, with a pleasant experience is invaluable. It’s my sincere hope that a member of the Pompano Beach City Council, or anyone shaping the city’s growth, will read this and recognize its wider significance.
Jonah — Google review
Pines is in amazing shape, palms is not as good shape but still a fun playable course and layout. Only reason for the 3 star is the pro shop workers who check you in to play are unbearable and give you such a hard time. I’ve been a resident for a year and come atleast 4 times a month and they give me a hard time about the resident discount every time when I show them my lease. It’s pretty clear i’m a resident here.
Joey — Google review
i love both pines and palms courses. So close to my house and reasonably priced. There is one women at the front that is just absolutely intolerable, it almost ruins the experience every time she works. i have never been to a course where you don’t check in with someone who directly works in the pro shop. I’ve been coming consistently for a year now. she still demands to see my lease and calls it fake everytime. will charge me the discounted rate a month in a row and then stiff me and say she can’t give me a residents price the next time. and GOD FORBID you show up with ur a tee time and there is not a soul out there on the course she will stil have you manually make one. i’ve spent most of my life playing golf at many different courses around the world but i’ve just never seen a process quite like this one. literally makes no sense whatever. it really is a shame because every other thing at this course is great. all good things to say about galuppis as well

Was a little nervous because of the mixed reviews, but this first visit was excellent! Great service, delicious food, nice vibe overall. Carpaccio was great, nice variety of flavor with good veggie accent. Scallop appetizer was perfectly prepared. The onion crusted yellowtail was also excellent, beautiful texture and taste. My dining partner had some allergies that the server and chef were super accommodating on. Definitely looking forward to visiting again!

I am have been coming here since they first opened in 1984 when I lived in Ft Lauderdale. Now I live in West Delray so don't come here very often. It was my birthday and a friend took me here. Also great food, service, and an outstanding wine list. I chose a Hook of Crook Cellars Old Line Zinfandel Reserve 2015 from Lodi. Only $ 35 and a steal. Started with one of their all time favorite appetizers, Tuna Sashimi Pizza, Wasabi cream cheese, sweet soy, caviar, scallion and spicy mayo . Amazing For mains, I opted for the Guava Pink Peppercorn Glazed Grilled Duck Breasts, Chive cream cheese risotto, green beans, demi glace & plantain chips. I substituted fingerling potatoes for the risotto. Well constructed dish with bold flavors. My friend choose the Shirt steak, excellently prepared. For dessert, we had another house favorite, Deep Dish Bourbon & Chocolate Pecan Pie , served with warm chocolate sauce & ice cream. Super and a great finish. For a memorable evening and outstanding food and service, Cafe Maxx is a must.

I went here for a birthday dinner with my girlfriends. The food was delicious and I can see why locals enjoy it. However, the atmosphere feels a bit old-school and could use some updates. The service was also confusing — the servers seemed unsure at times, passing responsibilities back and forth, which made the experience less smooth. Overall, the food is great, but the place itself is not really my vibe.

Solid restaurant. First time trying it out not too bad. Good old fashioned for me, martini for her. We started with the caeser salad very good. She had the pork medallions and it was delicious. I had shrimp scampi also delicious. For dessert I had the key lime pie which was good and she had the chocolate cake which was really decadent. All in all solid food and service.

The food was excellent! The slaw that accompanies the jumbo shrimp is sublime! Goat cheese and mixed berry salad is bright and fresh. $70 Peppercorn crusted filet was cooked perfectly. Dessert was decadent. Upon arrival, the host didn’t appear for 10 minutes and appeared to be on his phone a lot. Aside from that, it was a pleasant dining experience.

We had the crab cake appetizer. Then the 22 oz cowboy sirloin and scallops shrimp w mushroom risotto. The corn spinach with the steak was incredibly delicious. The steak was well cooked and very flavorful. The scallops and large shrimp and risotto was also tasty. Great meal although quite pricey.

It was my first time at Cafe Maxx and a very nice experience! We sat at the bar and our server (wish I had gotten her name) was friendly and professional. We started with the Tuna Sashimi Pizza. I wasn’t sure what to expect from a Tuna Sashimi pizza but, let me assure you, it is absolutely amazing. The tuna sashimi was served on a thin, crispy crust. It was drizzled with wasabi sauce and sprinkled with caviar. It was a perfect portion for one person as a full meal or a great appetizer for sharing as well. The flavors and textures of this appetizer are perfect together. A MUST try! We also shared the Duck & Smoked Gouda Ravioli which comes as 2 or 4 raviolis. This dish came out a little cold so we asked for it to be warmed. The bar tender was professional in handling this. Taking our dishes and bringing them back hot. Also a very good dish. I liked how the sun-dried tomatoes were a little crispy. This is a richly flavorful dish with the duck and the Gouda. The bar area was a little warm. Maybe that was because we were sitting by the door. Next time I will request a table or sit closer to the kitchen but I do look forward to having the Tuna Sashimi Pizza again soon!

Unbelievably racist and classist manager/host that had us stand up and walk out of the restaurant without ordering anything and we have no interest in going back. My husband and I made a reservation for the evening and we were waiting to be seated because the restaurant had a cooking class that had to be completed before the tables were flipped and ready to be serviced. We waited and once the hostess came and approached us, we were seated and fairly excited for the menu and the food offerings. A manager/host, older gentleman with glasses in a sea green shirt that evening approaches out table and looks to my husband and asks if we have a reservation. We both respond yes to which he then looks to me and snaps "YOU have a reservation." We once again respond yes in a much perplexed tone which is when the hostess that seated us came and confirmed that she was the one who checked us in at which point the manager stormed off. We did not observe him approaching any other tables before or after us or asking anyone else for the validity of their seating. We were left befuddled and very off put as to what exactly had just happened because we know we didn't look like the other diners who were of the typical white, geriatric class or families who have time to go out on boats or looks to have been long time customers. My husband and I are a young couple and he is black and I am Asian and have many tattoos. We ultimately decided this slight, whether intentional or not was not acceptable and went down the road to Gianni's for some fantastic Italian food, a lively atmosphere, and phenomenal service staff all around. A good end to an unfortunate night.

Stopped in for dinner on a Thursday. We had $100 Diamond celebration credit to use. We sat at the big table with the privacy curtain. There was a good crowd but crazy packed. Service was prompt and food was delicious! We ordered the seafood tower, steak, seafood paella and dessert. It was good and we were full! I recommend and would return back again!

Nice waitstaff and very nice food runner/table cleaner (forget the guys name but he was everywhere and very nice) but that’s where the positives ended. Food was not just bad but awful. Lobster bisque was so fishy smelling we sent back (also an odd color and texture). Korean ribs were all fat and charred black an not the good way. Steak was so overcooked and dry there wasn’t a bit of moisture left in it. Crab legs were overcooked and super rubbery. The focaccia bread app looked more like New York pizza crust than an actual focaccia bread. Overall the food is just bad. If you’re spending your own money, do yourself a favor and skip it.

It took nearly an hour to get my food. My Ribeye was very poor quality meat, cooked to the wrong temperature, full of gristle and tasteless. I was never offered a refill on my drink and nobody ever asked me how my meal was. Oh I forgot to mention that the decor (which I had plenty of time to look at) is old and well worn. Easily the worst meal I have had in years.

Come to Farraddays if you want a refined, romantic dining ambiance! I found this restaurant on Open Table hoping to try the Atlantic Salmon from the dinner menu, un/fortunately, I ended up going on a Sunday when they only serve the brunch menu dishes. Well, I semi-regret it because I couldn’t try it. Still, I did get to enjoy the bottomless mimosas instead with my family, which was delightful and had the perfect ratio of orange juice to champagne ratio. For the entree, I ordered the Korean Short Rib Tacos. The sauce was sweet and tangy, but the rib was greasy, so it overpowered the flavors. The chicken and waffles was decadent and savory. I would order it again. The steak and eggs were perfectly cooked. The eggs a little watery and steak needed to be pan seared longer. The burger was simple and I’ve had better. Overall, I would recommend coming here for a date night dinner, enjoy the live piano performance and playing at the casino afterwards downstairs if you’re up to gamble. Overall: 7/10

Not the 5 star dining experience for $150 meal. I used my diamond celebration comp for my meal. There were many errors in my meal. Spoke to manager who was nice but still did not feel completely respected as I have in other restaurants. Such as when I ordered my prime rib rare and it was served well done. They fired me a filet mignon which was cooked properly but still charged me full price for filet after making me wait. Again not the player experience would want for a night at the casino.

Yesterday I was celebrating my parents 60th anniversary there. 7 people in total i was disappointed with service. Been there 3/ 4 times. We stayed late . Towards the end 2 people asked for coffee. Waitor said there was no coffee which is very unheard of !

We lucked in to ordering happy hour items at 6:59 ! The appetizers and certain drinks and desserts are half price until 7 PM. We loved the crab cake and the burnt ends. We regretted not getting the shrimp cocktail, but we won't forget next time. The piano player was phenomenal and made the meal memorable.

Omg! Recently, my husband and I dined at Farraddays at the Isle Casinoin Palm-aire area. I thought it would be another humdrum casino experience; boy was I wrong!! From the beginning, Robin, our waitress was able to suggest several choices for dinner that ended up being phenomenal! This restaurant is a must see- must taste category! The old school, classy decor, jazzy tunes and eccletic artwork set the mood for a special culinary experience. The juicy shrimp and velvety grits and tender prime rib, seasoned asparagus, and huge sweet potatoe with a cinnamon, brown sugar ball and a thickly sliced cheesecake with fresh berries for dessert did not disappoint!!! Thank you, Robin for such exemplary service and thank you, Farraddays! We will be back!!

Gen Spa in Pompano Beach offers a unique and personalized spa experience. Their experienced therapists provide tailored bodywork to address the specific needs of each client, whether they are first-timers, athletes, or individuals dealing with physical ailments or stress. The spa also caters to prenatal massage needs with a special massage table designed for pregnant women. Clients have reported positive experiences and relief from discomfort after receiving treatments at Gen Spa.
I went to the Deerfield location. I had my prenatal massage with Gen for the first time! I came in with a stiff neck and numbness in my right arm. She took her time in giving me a deep massage and knew the right spots to release the tension. Once she was done I left feeling like a totally new and person and I woke today better then ever. A great perk was that she had a pregnancy massage table so i was able to lay face down without hurting my baby and obtain an amazing massage. Many prenatal massage places near me do have that type bed. I felt like i was in heaven! I will definitely be back !!

I cannot recommend Gen enough! She is so much more than just a massage therapist—she is a true healer. From the moment you walk in, you can feel how intentional and kind she is. Gen creates a space that feels safe, grounded, and deeply restorative. Her technique isn’t your typical massage—she uses her own unique form of pressure point therapy that gets right to the root of pain and tightness. I’ve never experienced anything quite like it. With just the right touch and an intuitive sense of the body, she’s able to unlock areas I didn’t even realize were holding tension. I walk out of every session feeling lighter, freer, and so much more connected to my body. Gen is the real deal—deeply caring, incredibly skilled, and completely dedicated to helping you heal. If you’re looking for something beyond a surface-level massage, go see her. You will not regret it.

I had a fantastic deep tissue massage with Gen to address neck and shoulder pain, actually my whole back was in a knot. Gen worked and focused on my problem areas adjusting the pressure as needed, always concerned with my tolerance levels. I experienced a significant reduction of pain and overall wellness. I highly recommend Gen to address all the areas of pain and stress you may be overwhelmed with.

My friend and I were having a trip away from our kids and husbands. Our husbands decided to treat us for a message. It was definitely a treat and the therapist were kind, and knowledgeable and gave an amazing message. Would definitely come back if ever in town again.

Brought my fiancé here for a last minute massage when her back was killing her. The staff was able to shift things around to get us both in which was amazing. My fiancé saw Gen and had an amazing experience - the tension relief was exactly what she needed to get her body feeling loose and without pain. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back!!!

1000/10, Gen provided a wonderful prenatal massage for me. I have never had a professional massage before, but this was a necessity being 5 months pregnant. My job is very physical, which requires me to stand up and sit down repetitively. I’ve always been a tensed person due to my previous job which required lots of physical labor as well. Luckily I experienced a wonderful time with Gen and hope to be back once I’m back in town. Thank you so much!!

Pompano Beach Dog Park is a spacious and dog-friendly park with separate enclosures for big and small dogs. It's recommended to adhere to social distancing protocols due to Covid-19. The park features water fountains for dogs, well-maintained green grass, beautiful trees, and double airlock southgates between the different pens. While closed on Tuesdays for maintenance, it offers a great atmosphere for medium-sized tame dogs.

While the park itself is very nice and well maintained, BEWARE OF THE PEOPLE! There are many delusional pet owners who have aggressive dogs but refuse the acknowledge their behavior! Too unsafe, In only go if there are no other dogs

this is a great park. It has water fountains. It has water fountains for the dogs I mean to say not for people there are benches for people. Lots of green grass that's well-maintained every Tuesday the park is closed for landscaping there are beautiful trees and double airlock southgate's been between the different pens there are three different sections one for big dogs and one for small dogs and one seems to be a reserve back up that switches back and forth for the big dogs. anyway come out and have a good time you're likely to find a crowd at around 8 to 9 in the morning and between 7 and 8 in the evening you have to get a pass (but the gate sometimes is broken and you can sneak in).

We were extremely impressed with the caliber of the Captains, Scuba Instructors, and Divemasters (especially Alyssa, Anthony, Matt, and Mike) throughout the entire trip! The dive sites were pristine with abundant marine life and great visibility!! Again, cannot recommend enough, we will be back to get both our kids certified for open water! I did three days of diving with these guys to get my Advanced Open Water Certification. Everyone was amazing through the whole process! My instructor Mike was super patient and answered every question, making sure that I knew what was happening with each dive. Our first day on the boat, we had Captain Alyssa and Dive Master Armando who were fabulous! Our second and third days out were with Captain Joe and Dive Master Joshua. Extra props to these gentlemen for making sure everyone got back on the boat safely when we got caught in a storm during the second dive! I will definitely be diving with this crew again next time I am in Ft. Lauderdale and am greatly looking forward to it!

Walked into Sea Experience strolling and exploring the Bahia Mar area where we were staying ..! Rick the manager was the one who helped us with booking our snorkeling tour ..! Price range is pretty decent ; and he even guided us to take some medication for sea sickness ( which was so necessary, as me and my hubby are both sensitive to sea movement ) Check in was easy; and the marina was right by the store .! So not much transport from One spot to another .! Great convenient location . Instructions were communicated/ announced very precisely yet very humorously ..! ALYSSA was our Boat Captain; Adah was the assistant / crew and Courtney was a trainee .. The onboard crew was super friendly ; attentive ; Humorous ; Knowledgeable & helpful .. There were chips and soda for purchase for $1 while on boat ..( tht was nice ) Also, the gears were well maintained and clean ..! Highly recommend the Sea Experience for a fantastic Experience with water activities 💯👍🏻

City management is horrible. It’s a very fun course to practice and play . Overall course conditions variate , but greens are usually nasty. The personal and staff is amazing. The price is reasonable and the restaurant burgers are very good
Joaquin A — Google review
Very slow play. Crabgrass is taking over, I guess upkeep is on the back burner until the overdue renovation happens. Greens are really slow because they aren't cut as low as they should be. If you hit it off the fairway you may have trouble finding your ball because the grass is long....maybe because of the rain and not being cut.
Lll L — Google review
Worst course I’ve ever played, hands down. Current pictures on google are so far from reality. All attendants were very nice, but the state of disrepair that this course is in is unimaginable. If you plan on bringing clubs down to Hollywood/Fort Lauderdale to play this course, think again. Tee boxes were 50% sand and dirt. Could barely see the cut between fairway and rough. Non existent fringe, trash and debris EVERYWHERE. Most bunkers without rakes, greens were so bad I stopped putting after the first hole and just practiced chipping the rest of the round.
Bhaight75 — Google review
We took a tee time around 5:15pm, the golf cart was ready and all the team was very friendly. The golf course is well maintained. I think that we were very close from the road for some hole, and there was people walking very near the fairway…
Carolane L — Google review
I am not sure why this has so many 5 star reviews. This is not a five star course, not even close. I am not saying it is all bad but if someone is looking to play here they should honestly know what they are getting. From the fairway to the "rough" there is no difference. Some of the tee boxes were covered in so much sand it was almost like being in a fairway bunker. The greens are in really rough shape, some of fast, some slow and most are patchy. All that being said, the staff was friendly, nice and got us off quickly. If you are looking for a cheaper option to play 18 this is definitely that but just understand what you are getting.
Nathan G — Google review
They had made some real progress with the course conditions here over the past year or so, but as of May 30 it was mostly back to poor shape. Dried-out turf, many bald spots and weeds in fairways (see photos). Greens are really rough. Sad to see.
M. M — Google review
This was by far one of the worst golf courses I have ever played at. $30+ to play here should be a crime. Greens are in horrible condition. The fairways consist of mainly sand or dead grass. The grass in the fringe was as tall as the rough and was basically impossible to chip out of. Not many hazards for your ball to get lost however there are many hazards to look out for on the course. I was attacked by fire ants not once but twice. For a couple of holes you cross super old bridges that are basically falling apart. For the price you pay to play here it seems like none of that money goes back into the course. DO NOT PLAY HERE

This is next to the water taxi embarkation and disembarkation. We tied our dinghy here which is not really an official dinghy dock but it’s a nice quiet small picnic area and you can park your car sunrise to sunset. It was a good loading and unloading when you are getting some provision if you are anchored in Lake Santa Barbara. Watch out for barnacles and the tide can get really low.

Susette T — Google review

Harrah’s Pompano is a modern small casino. I enjoy playing there, but they are lacking in their food options and entertainment. Maybe that will change in the future. They have one steakhouse, faradays, which is not that good. And then all they have is a Deli besides. The other thing that I like is that it is a completely smoke-free Casino.

Place is going downhill fast. I don't expect it to be open by mid next year. I doubt I will return.

Usually you can get water for free, now it's $1.50 for a small small bottle if you ask at the bar. I had just walked in and I always got my water there before. I was told to wait on a cocktail waiter to get it. Well I started playing slots & no waiter came by for 3 hours. Really Harrah's??? Is this the way you do things now???? Management pay attention, you can do better than that!

Nice place however I don’t like electronic gaming. I prefer craps, black Jack, roulette live therefore I’d rather go to a Seminole casino. Myron’s NY style deli was great

Founders Park in Aventura is a beautiful and spacious public park that pays tribute to the visionaries who played a crucial role in incorporating the city. The park features a monument dedicated to the founders, as well as various amenities such as walking trails, sports courts, and a playground. Visitors can also enjoy the quarter-mile exercise trail, tennis courts, picnic areas, and a recreational water play area known as Founders ParkSplashPad.
One of the best parks in the Aventura / North Miami area to bring your children to. Multiple of activity playthings to choose from. A visit here can keep children actively involved for hours. Ample parking. Very nominal admission fee for a vehicle.

It was so much fun! The guy in the front main entrance when u pay to get in (if you’re not a resident u pay 5.00 adults,3.00 kids) he was so kind. Thanks for your help and patients. I never got his name but we enjoyed it very much

$10 and something for non residents plus $3 for water splash which is not that big. Overall is not that bad but small for the Price you have to pay
Jackie B — Google review
This park is exceptionally clean and has a friendly staff. One of the most significant advantages I appreciate is the complimentary charging station for Tesla vehicles available exclusively to Aventura residents.
Deibys M — Google review
Park takes your PII in order to enter. You need to pay to enter. Staff is suspicious of everyone, and some are rude. You are required to make an account with the city website to use the park. The site also does not work properly and is not coded well. There are other parks with playgrounds, sports facilities, even splash pads. My family will be frequenting those instead.
A. P — Google review
We absolutely love the free splash pad during the summer. Plenty of shaded outdoor seating and all of the water stations are well-maintained and in operation. The playground itself is best suited for kids five and over.

*** update Aug. 11, 2023 trees being cut down!!! And, planned artificial turf for soccer field!!! HANDS OFF OUR PARKS! As of May 2023 the City of Aventura has destroyed the Founder’s Park South section, the community garden and tranquil nature Park is no more! Absolutely unfathomable...I hope the photos will be a good reminder how beautiful it was. People will be talking about this for a long time.

Visitors rave about the heart-pounding experiences that leave them screaming in delight. The owner adds a personal touch with their friendly demeanor, making your visit even more enjoyable. Many guests have found themselves so captivated by the first escape room that they couldn't resist returning to tackle another before heading home.
My bf daughter came down from Maine and her and her 2 friends had done a escape room before but we hadn't. We were not disappointed one bit. My bf n I didn't know what to expect but had a blast! The girls said it was one of the best they have done. It definitely wasn't what we expect and didn't disappoint. Very interactive, creative, and definitely not easy. We already plan on going back!! Highly recommend 👌

Escape Your Fears was a lot of fun. Scary, difficult, and super fun. This was my first escape room, but my kids have done a ton of them. They said that this was definitely the best one they've ever done. We're definitely going back to do Asylum.

Such an AMAZING experience. I literally could not stop screaming (in a good way!). This is the perfect escape room for enthusiasts and horror fanatics alike. The owner is also so amazing, kind and FUN. You will not regret coming here. Scary good time!!! We did both escape rooms while we were on vacation here. The first one was so good we just had to make sure we came back to do both before our trip ended so we went RIGHT before our flight back home. 10000% worth it. Can’t wait to see what else they cook up!

This place was awesome. We decided to try it out and made sure we came back during our vacation to try out the other room. The owner did a killer job setting up the rooms and making it an immersive experience. I will most definitely come back next time we’re in town and highly recommend Demented Escape Room.

We were definitely skeptical at first because we didn’t know much about the haunted house they host and when we went there was only a few cars in the parking lot. We risked it and let me tell you, 10/10!!! We were shocked at how good the haunted house was. They followed us throughout the house and even chased us outside. We paid $25 per person which is a bit high honestly but we weren’t disappointed. It was scary and fun

Black Flamingo Brewing in Pompano Beach is a no-frills brewery located in an industrial area, offering a simple and informal atmosphere. The brewery serves its own beer without the typical upscale finish found in many South Florida establishments. Despite its warehouse feel, visitors appreciate the good selection of beers such as Winter Lager and Metalheads Revenge. The storefront brewery and tap room are situated within an industrial park, providing both indoor and outdoor seating with a funky, chill vibe.
Great place... Fantastic beer and AMAZING FOOD!!! With 1st Class Service made, my wife and I feel like friends. This was our very first time but will be a regular place to go now!!!! If you are in the Oakland Park area, this is a must place to visit regularly. Thank you 😊

We were visiting from out of town, and this place was a bit far from where we were staying. However, after seeing the names and flavors of the beers on their website, we knew we had to check it out. This place has a great, funky, chill vibe. Seating inside and out, with both lounge-y couches and tables for playing cards or drinking flights. They had great beers with kitschy names, particularly the sours. They had a food truck out back the night we were there and stand up comedy. It is kid-friendly, however, the comedians can be a bit 'PG-13' to 'R' rated. We would definitely go back.
Emily F — Google review
Black Flamingo Brewing has a storefront brewery and tap room in an industrial park off Powerline Road. It is the location that originally was Holy Mackerel and then Weed Reaper breweries. I have visited here under both those names. It is a walkable distance to another brewery too. Other places have brewery districts and I always hoped these two breweries are successful and may attract more to the area. However, first impression of Black Flamingo wasn't all that great. It was Friday and I checked to see what time they opened. Their website said 2pm. I arrived at 2:30 and found the door was locked and hours on the door indicated that opening time was really 3. I took a walk around the area and returned at 3 for a couple beers. The board showed 15 choices. As I was deciding what to get, the bartender told me only 3 of the 15 were available. Fortunately, the two glasses of beer that I tried of the three that he had were both very good. Since I liked the beers, I'll return here sometime and give Black Flamingo another try.
Joe G — Google review
I absolutely love this place! It’s truly a gem hidden in a quiet part of an industrial park (which also means that you will find plenty of parking when they open in the afternoon). You enter through their outdoor patio (facing a lake) that has a few top-tables with some games on them. The first thing you see when you go in is a classic-style and cozy sitting room by the window, but then you realize right away that you’re actually in a garage/warehouse! There’s a bar on your left side, a few tables + some sofas and a space for a small band on your right; and at the end of this big room you can see their custom-made homebrew system. Btw, I love where their door for the complaint dept. is!! Behind the bar there’s a big blackboard on the wall with the list of their many beers with sometimes funny names. Don’t worry if you don’t know which one to get: their very attentive bartenders will help you choose according to your taste - but of course, you can never go wrong by ordering a sampler. The prices are very decent considering that you get good craft beers. We went there a couple of times already in the last few weeks, and both times they had a live rock band: we saw two different groups so far, and they were both just amazing. Although the music can be loud, I found this place great for chilling either with friends or alone: it’s a very down-to-earth place where (at least on Saturdays, the only time we could/can come here) you will only meet people with your same passion for beers and music.
Adri — Google review
I was at another local brewery and when pulling out to go home, I noticed this gem and decided “Hey, why not!” I have never seen or heard of any marketing regarding Black Flamingo Brewing Company, which is a shame. This is my kind of place, calm, dark, relaxing, and a small but great variety of beers. In addition, a band called “The Magic Bus Band” is there every Saturday from 2-5 and they were really good if you like a variety of classics! Definitely worth a try if your looking for something different to try!

New owner of old Holy Mackrel location. Very attentive. Unique selective. Quality beers. Great sour beer options wife says. Had flomotion for me, like blue moon. Looking forward to going back. Has amazing pizza. Live music on special nights.
Orlando M — Google review
This place is located in an industrial area in Pompano Beach and it is definitely not for everybody. It’s a brewery – they serve only beers they make there – without the typical upscale finish of many South Florida places. This is simple, sort of warehouse feel, a place you could find in Chicago, but I already went twice and really like it. Beers are good, I like the Winter Lager and the Metalheads Revenge, very informal atmosphere but real, definitely with a divey touch. On Saturday they have live music, mostly rock style bands and the 2 I saw were very good, no kidding, we are talking about some talented musicians. Great place to chill, when you feel in a “no BS, jeans and T-shirt” mood; will definitely go back even if it’s a bit far from West Palm Beach. Unpretentious, good place for a few beers and good music.

Highlands Scrub Natural Area is a peaceful nature preserve in Florida that offers a short walking loop providing an insight into the unique environment of Florida scrub. The park features benches, pavilions, trash cans, a water fountain, and informational signs. While lizards can be spotted throughout the area, gopher tortoises are also part of the ecosystem. Situated near train tracks, it's important not to miss the turn-off to reach this hidden gem.
I didn't know what a scrub natural area was until I came here. Very educational and insightful. Has parking and walking pavement 👍

Little walking loop with a great glimpse and information into what Florida scrub is. There will be plenty of lizards running around. I didn’t see any gopher tortoises, but they are part of the scrub ecosystem. Nice benches, two pavilions, trash cans, water fountain, and informational signs are through the park. It’s in a random location next to the train track so don’t miss the turn-off. Nice quiet park to get some sunshine or picnic.

This was a nice quiet natural preserve, the trail is a short (1/4 mile) circle. There are spots to sit in the quiet. No canal, no water, and close to the road is why I gave it 4 stars. But seeing all the pear cactus was cool!!!
Roshawn B — Google review
Beautiful space but as others have mentioned its a cruising spot. Very disgusting activity so be careful on those trails.
Akira K — Google review
It's a really nice preserve area called a scrub because of the ecology which is a desert like environment. There are quite a few scattered around south Florida. Look up the words "Scrub Habitat" for more details. Here today, Saturday, 4/10/2021@ 9:30am and all locked with no posting of why on the fence or on line (3rd time this happened for me). Called the number listed, left a msg. 😞

This place is a hidden gem where you can forget you're in the city. Paved trails provide a short but lively and beautiful walk. There is parking and a small picnic area as well as benches throughout, but no toilet.

Very cool pocket of scrub with educational signs. Doesn’t take long to walk through - only about a quarter mile. Scrub is an endangered ecosystem in Florida so it is worth checking out if you’re in the area!

We had a wonderful experience at Pompano Beach. We stopped into the Tourist Center to check out what was available in the area. The lovely lady that helped us on Thursday night (I wish I had gotten her name, because she deserves a raise) was vibrant, informative, helpful, and so sweet. We had expressed an interest in a couple of places that she had mentioned for dinner and headed out. She went to both places when she got off work to give us a better coupon for dinner. I was overwhelmed by her kindness and caring. She went way above and beyond her duty. I hope everyone is lucky enough to have the great experience that we had!
