Anglin's Fishing Pier, the longest pier in South Florida, is a popular destination for both anglers and sightseers. Originally built in 1942 and reconstructed, it extends over 900 feet into the Atlantic and offers a picturesque setting for fishing or leisurely strolls. The pier features a cafe, occasional live music, and stunning views of epic sunsets and sunrises. Visitors can enjoy casual dining options, unique shops, and an authentic Florida seaside community atmosphere.
Mike and Marcus are really nice and all the regulars showed me how to fish the pier. The pier is only half way open but still offers tons of different species of fish. It's the only pier around that's open all night and it has great locals
Aaron W — Google review
Great spot for fishing or taking a stroll. Sunsets and sunrises are epic from the pier. Perfect photo op opportunity. The sea breeze is lovely, nice an cool. It’s $2 to walk on the pier and $7 to fish with your own gear. They rent fishing poles and sell bait, weights, hooks etc. You can see for miles North and South of the pier. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Prices are reasonable for the area. Nice little spot to check out.
Michelle C — Google review
To those who are going to the Florida area I strongly suggest Dania Beach. The pier was close to where I was at but I didn't actually go to the fishing pier. However I could see it from my location to those who are looking for a relaxing time at the beach this is the beach for you there is an area for you to wash off and shower as for public restrooms where they were located. I used this beach to go snorkeling and it's truly beautiful there it's not too much riffraff and not too much of a loud crowd make sure you wear plenty of sunblock and bring plenty to drink to stay hydrated Maybe when I go back I will go to the fishing pier an experience that but this was by far my favorite vacation of this year! I love Dania Beach... Its a place to fall in love
V ( — Google review
Beautiful day. Great place to go fishing or just people watch and still have a place for your group to hang out with ample seating area. $2 to get on the pier for adults, $1 for kids. $7 to fish.
ADRA ( — Google review
Excellent location for a day at the beachfront. Grab your family, friends or just head on over for you time. Lots of fun and friendly people fishing and enjoying the cafe. Eat in the restaurant or right on the pier. Currently under construction and likely understandably as conditions for repairs must be daunting: current's,visibility, existing marine life, the all encompassing biosphere down there. Limited allowable live load capacity so no trip to the tip of the structure allowed. Fun to be had any how, just like the surrounding area's common & extraordinary habitats. Like a fine meal, don't rush and do it perfectly. Thanks for the MEMORIES!!!
VinnyVin — Google review
We love to go on this pier. It’s beautiful place to admire the beach and ocean. People are friendly, every minute someone catches a fish and pelicans coming close to you expecting for some fish snacks. It’s just $2 for adult and $1 for a kid
Julia M — Google review
The restaurant was nice, the staff was kind and food was good. The atmosphere was also nice and we loved our little breakfast moment here. Menus were a bit old and torn and I would recommend that you print new ones just for a little facelift. However you need to pay $2 to get to the actual peer. It was a ripoff because there really wasn't anything to see. A few fisherman and a pelican is not worth the money.
Hannele W — Google review
Good fishing spot. 24 hours. Great experience of fishing with my son. My son really loved this place. He caught many snappers, pompanos, blue fishes, etc. here. Nice view. FLL area. Good restaurants around and well developed community.

Nestled in the charming town of Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, El Prado Park is a delightful coastal retreat that beckons both locals and visitors alike. This inviting park boasts stunning views of the sea, making it an ideal spot for leisurely strolls along its paved walkways or enjoying a relaxing picnic on the grassy lawn. With shaded seating areas available, you can unwind while soaking up the sun or watching your furry friend frolic nearby.
Small, very clean, little park with access to the beach. The park offers many chairs or benches to sit and relax and enjoy the sun and the views. The plantings are quite beautiful and well maintained, providing shade in a few areas along with two gazebos. Very nice park with beach access.
Jamie W — Google review
Public parking is right in front of the beach entrance. Walking one block with all beach accessories is very easy. There are also two places to rinse off sands.
Jessie C — Google review
El Prado Park is quaint, peaceful and the beach feels like paradise. Perfect beach with soothing white sand, relaxing warm sea water, and friendly people. A picturesque must visit beach, Lauderdale By The Sea is absolutely beautiful!
Solbrains T — Google review
El Prado Park is a wonderful clean park to watch beautiful sunrises. Paid parking directly across the street. Quieter beach to relax if your by Lauderdale-by-the-sea.
Michael B — Google review
Tiny spot near the beach with a few free chairs and some grass. I heard that a good food truck/tent is set up here on Sundays though! I'd give a higher rating if it was a bigger spot. I'd hang out here if the main beach area was too crowded. You can't really see the water from the chairs but it's just a few steps from this area.

Top 3 beach spots in FT lauderdale. Easy to park, Clean, tranquil. I could sit all day in those Adirondack chairs and just enjoy the cool breeze. And when I get hungry some of the best spots are only a few steps away.

I love this beach a lot. First because it is always clean and quiet. Second right here such amazing surf camp for kids. It is work almost all summer. And this year we get second session. Coach is do amazing. Kids learn not only surf but also paddle board. Which is really great.

Garden
Bonnet House Museum & Gardens is a historic 1920s plantation home in Fort Lauderdale, once owned by American artists Frederic and Evelyn Barlett. The estate features an art gallery, lush gardens, and environmental preservation on its 35-acre property. It offers a glimpse of Old Florida architecture, with Frederic's murals adorning the ceilings and Evelyn's unique collection of monkey art.
This was a really cool place to visit. A lot of history, making more history. A beautiful place inside the house and outside in the garden. A nice little stroll around the property and you’ll see all the different plants from different places. It’s awesome how he had 3 wives and I get it!!! lol The staff was great, but you cannot video or take pictures of the actual courtyard but you’re aloud to take them throughout the rooms. It’s really a one of a kind place and hopefully it will survive all the storms and never change.
J H — Google review
Such a great experience! Educational. Every one who was in sections of the house were very knowledgeable and super kind. We asked a lot of questions and they answered them all! The grounds have been kept up and are so beautiful! After we did our tour we spoke with any individuals about the museum. This is Definitely a must see when here!
Latita B — Google review
It is a beautiful place to visit and the history of the property and previous owners is intriguing. Dress lightly in the summer time and stay hydrated. There is plenty of shaded areas while you read about the different trees on the property. The volunteers are wonderful and they all love telling stories and answering questions. Thank you all for a nice day with engaged volunteers, it makes all the difference. We finished our tour right before the rain, but it was beautiful to watch.

A Dream Wedding Venue – Perfect for Any Size Celebration! We recently celebrated our wedding at Bonnet House, and it was nothing short of magical. Whether you're planning an intimate ceremony or a grand celebration, this venue offers the perfect blend of charm, history, and natural beauty. The gardens and grounds are breathtaking — a stunning backdrop that feels like a hidden tropical paradise. Our guests were in awe of the atmosphere, and our photos turned out absolutely gorgeous. What truly made our experience exceptional was the staff. From the first tour to the final send-off, the team was warm, professional, and incredibly helpful. They were attentive to every detail and made us feel supported every step of the way. Bonnet House is a gem — a place where weddings of any size feel special. We couldn’t have asked for a better location or a more wonderful team. Highly recommend!
Veronica O — Google review
My husband and I had a wonderful experience here. This home is chockablock with visual feasts. The volunteer docents are very knowledgeable , friendly, and helpful. I really enjoyed taking a walk into the past of Fort Lauderdale. The house has been amazingly preserved and the stories and art are beautiful and inspiring— lives well lived!
Raeanne S — Google review
Delightful from start to finish! The Docents gave informative information in many different ways! Such a beautiful place and a small cafe with delicious ice cream to end your adventure!
Charles O — Google review
We just visited the gardens. It was beautiful and well kept. The people were friendly. It was a nice getaway to spend a couple of hours.
Robert C — Google review
Bonnet House was so beautiful! The gardens were full of wildlife just wandering around, and the shell collection was really cool. I loved that there were volunteers in every room who knew tons of fun facts about the history of the place. It was such a fun girls’ day out and I think kids 16 and under get in for free.

Hugh Taylor Birch State Park in Fort Lauderdale is a testament to the city's history and natural beauty. Originally acquired by Hugh Taylor Birch in 1893 as a retreat, the park remained largely undeveloped until 1940 when Birch began construction on his residence. The park features a diverse wildlife habitat with marsh rabbits, turtles, and gopher tortoises among its inhabitants. Visitors can enjoy activities such as hiking, fishing, and exploring the freshwater lagoon.
I had the best time ever at Hugh Taylor Birch State Park! There are so many beautiful places to explore, and the staff here is incredibly kind and helpful. When I was paying for entry, a lovely lady offered me a ride around the park. She called someone, and soon Mark arrived to give me a wonderful tour! He even picked up a few other visitors along the way, and we all had such a great time together. What a special day it was—thank you so much for the hospitality and unforgettable experience!
Svetlana B — Google review
I was so surprised by this beautiful park! When I was heading over towards it I thought it was just a park. But as soon as I arrived I was greeted by the most friendly people of Fort Lauderdale and they asked me if I wanted a tour through the park. This was done by one of their volunteers and she was so excited to tell me all about the nature. The trails were beautiful and there was so much to see and explore. You can fill a whole day over here if you want. There is also a restaurant where you can take a lunch and have a drink. Oke… the worst part of this park THE BIG AMOUNT OF SPIDERS!!!!! They were soooo big and there were many of them! Even in the center of the trails.
Maud L — Google review
Overall, a really cool experience nature trail just steps from the beach. Unique plants and trees, and massive spiders hanging from them. Stick to the paved path, unless you have bug spray. DO NOT MAKE MY MISTAKE. They unfortunately love me and I got 25 bites in roughly 10 minutes. If you walk in there without bug spray, you are a mosquito’s next big feast. Starting at the beach is probably recommended, so you can end there naturally. There were people riding bikes through here, which is something I would do if I visited again.
Rachel — Google review
Hugh Taylor Birch State Park is a hidden gem! The nature walk is absolutely beautiful—peaceful trails surrounded by lush greenery and wildlife. The waterfront view is stunning, perfect for relaxing or taking photos. Everything is well-maintained, and it’s a great spot to escape the city and enjoy some fresh air. Highly recommend for nature lovers or anyone looking for a quiet, scenic place to unwind.
Scratch L — Google review
Beautiful park with trails, kayak rentals, beach access and a restaurant. You can walked the paved road or alongside it on a dirt road enveloped by beautiful trees. Plenty of benches to relax. There is also a stop for the water taxi (additional fee, hop on/off all day). The taxi offers multiple stops up and down the intercoastal all while enjoying the views of beautiful homes. Las Olas, the last stop, is perfect for a bite to eat and some shopping. Park is clean, staff are friendly and offered an abundance of information about the park.
Katherine M — Google review
Top Rated State Park! It's huge! Endless Trails and nature. One side borders the Intercoastal Waterway and the other A1A and the beach. Prime real estate that luckily got Perserved! There's even a cute restaurant.
Denise C — Google review
Hugh Taylor Birch State Park is a nice spot 🌿🌞 for a relaxing day outdoors. The walking trails are pleasant 🚶‍♂️, the waterways are calm 🚣‍♀️, and you can spot some interesting wildlife 🦎🦢. It’s a good place for a picnic 🍉 or a short kayak ride 🛶. Not overly crowded, but not extremely thrilling either — an experience for nature lovers and families alike.
Tejas S — Google review
This place is like an all-inclusive paradise 😌You get fresh air, beautiful nature, and plenty of space to explore. There are great hiking options, like the Beach Hammock Trail and an unpaved trail for a more rugged adventure. There’s so much to do—visit the Butterfly Garden, relax in Marti’s Meditation Garden, have a picnic in the North Picnic Area, or check out the Public Floating Boat Dock and Adventure Rentals. And if you’re in the mood for the beach, it’s just a five-minute walk away ☺️ For only $4 entry, this spot is a perfect weekend plan. Trust me, it’s one of the best choices you can make😎

Aruba Beach Cafe, located at One East Commercial Boulevard in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, is a popular choice for those seeking a casual dining experience with stunning ocean views. Since its complete restoration and opening to the public in 2015, this restaurant has become known for its Caribbean-American cuisine, tropical drinks, and regular live music performances.
You can’t beat a great meal on the beach. Our local friends recommend this place and it didn’t disappoint. The Bimini bread was fantastic and lived up to the hype. The fish and chips were the best I’ve had in a long while. Definitely check this place out.
Michael D — Google review
Fun, casual dining, right on the sand. You can eat inside with AC, or outside too. Live music and drinks from multiple bars has people dancing in the evenings. Food is delicious with a fairly extensive menu and big portions. You won't leave hungry! (I posted a picture of the current Summer special deal ... check to see what's currently going on)

First of all do I have to tell you how beautiful it is on the beach in front of the restaurant on high chairs with an umbrella?! The great service from waiters that take an interest to their customers; down to the servers who brings out your delicious food with a smile! The drinks are delicious and very reasonable. I definitely recommend the mussels with the pasta with the garlic sauce and the seafood enchiladas!! Side note: as a LUNCH DATE (light eaters) those 2 dishes can can be shared...
I C — Google review
This is one of my absolute favorite spots! 🌴 We love sitting outside—whether it’s on the deck or right on the beach, the views are unbeatable. The drinks are incredible, especially the frozen/blended cocktails—perfect for a hot day. The oysters are a must-try, but honestly, you can’t go wrong with any of the fresh fish dishes here. Service is always wonderful—fast, friendly, and attentive. Even though it’s always busy, the food comes out quickly and the staff never misses a beat. Whether you’re stopping by for lunch, dinner, or just drinks and apps, this place is a must-visit. Beautiful scenery, amazing food, and a lively atmosphere—highly recommend!

If you’re looking for a place that blends delicious food with a fun, tropical vibe, Aruba Beach Café is it! Every visit feels like a mini vacation—the ocean views, the lively atmosphere, and the friendly staff make it one of my favorite spots to relax and enjoy. • Ambiance: Right by the water, with breezy seating and music that sets the mood. • Food: Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Whether it’s seafood, cocktails, or a casual bite, everything tastes like sunshine. • 💃 Fun Factor: Perfect for dining with friends, celebrating, or just soaking up the beach energy. I always leave with a smile, full belly, and great memories. Highly recommend Aruba Beach Café if you want to eat, laugh, and feel the joy of Florida’s coast!

Good beach side eatery on the Trumpian Lauderdake by the Sea beach. Good service. The lunch sopecial, pork quesadilla, was very good and a large portion at that. Inside, there was a very good guitar player.
Roberto V — Google review
Good atmosphere. Bar area inside is nice, beach seating is nice. A little pricey for the taste. The seafood dish was $36 , i will say it is full of seafood (scallops, shrimp, mussels) with spicy marinara. It does have a bite. The quesadilla was bland. The alfredo with fish and scallops was good, needed salt. The fish and chips are way greasy. The area is wonderful. The drinks are good. The service is slow and forgetful.

Went to Aruba Beach Cafe for Lunch, valet for $10 love it very convenient, very busy which is typical for a Saturday Lunch no issues there. Had 2 Bloody Mary amazing plus bartender was very nice and attentive. My only complaint is on the food!!! I ordered the Florida Seafood Soup and I was extremely disappointed for $19 it was just tomato soup with a 5 calamari, 3 shrimps and 4 mini scallops and no mussels even tho it was advertised in the menu.

This 23-mile stretch of beaches in Fort Lauderdale is rich in history and provides a picturesque setting for beachgoers. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely stroll along the shore, explore Anglins Fishing Pier, and take in the vibrant atmosphere of this charming beach town.
Absolutely a beautiful beach. Paid parking traffic heavy at times. Kinda busy area. So much to see. Eateries everywhere. But the best part... that beach is breathtaking. It's a lifetime experience.

This is the beautiful view of an evening where I stopped to charge my Polestar EV and absorbed the immense beauty and scenery! My son caught this sweet, friendly little crab and we enjoyed the ocean air. This area is a Must-See!! Amazing restaurants, stores and 24 hour fishing pier! I will be coming back for dinner this Saturday. I am beyond intrigued! FIVE STARS! 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Beautiful beach, easy to park (for a Friday night at dinner time in late August when it was about to rain). Beach was clean and showers were easy to access. Lots of places to get souvenirs, great food and treats nearby. Family oriented.

The SS Copenhagen Shipwreck is the only sunken ship in Fort Lauderdale that can be accessed without a boat. To reach it, scuba divers need to swim past the swimming buoy, which is located near Sea Watch On The Ocean restaurant. As they approach the wreck, they will notice staghorn coral, indicating they are on the right track.
Very cool amazing reef although it looks open and an easy dive don’t go near the tubes there’s lots of silt and we had to rescue two divers from another boat . You can get into some issues if you’re not careful, the area has some note worthy history and the site sprawls a few acres with lots of marine species the dive site is not to deep either which is a bonus
Swampdog — Google review
Sick dive! Only wreck that I know of in the area that only requires fins and a mask. There are plenty of mooring buoys so very practical.
Jeremy A — Google review
Nice spot for a shallow dive and some fish. The ledge just north of the wreck is nice too, but not better than all the others. Great for a shore dive, if you do not want to spend money in charting a boat. You go with a 80CUft tank on a snorkel and enjoy about 1.2 hours underwater back to shore.
Luiz L — Google review
If you have winds coming from land, the boat will Swing to 30 foot depth. If the wind comes out of the east towards shore, you'll be in 15 foot water as you get off the boat. Makes a big difference for inexperienced snorkelers. For divers this is a great shallow wreck to get started on.
JEJ — Google review
I think this is the only wreck in Fort Lauderdale easily accessible without a boat. With your scuba gear on swim past the swimming buoy. It is about parallel with Sea Watch On The Ocean restaurant. When you start to see staghorn coral you know you are on the right path. If you can’t find it the first time no worries at least you got to see some cool ledges with small reef formations and fish.
Aaron T — Google review
It's pretty torn up but there's tons of life. You can get to it from shore but it's a long swim and you need a flag. Watch for boaters. Wreck is between 15-20 feet deep.
Eliot R — Google review
Nice easy depth for a trained freediver. Max I hit was 22'. Decent viz, plenty of Marine life.
Timothy H — Google review
Easy to boat to, with miring buoys adjacent but there isn’t a lot of wildlife at the wreck to keep you interested for long.

Absolutely beautiful!!! Never knew this was here!!!! The beach is one of the best I think! I had so much fun and I'm going back to!! Water and sand was so clean!! Its like paradise if you ask me!! Highly recommend visiting!!!

Definitely a nice area to come chill, look at the pier because it’s in no rush putting itself back together. Smh but the variety of restaurants, bars, stores, beach area plus the salt water. You can’t get no better. Oh parking is pretty ample, it of course cost money but it’s right in the middle of things to do. 🤷‍♂️

Nice beach with food and places to park. Park on the side 2 hrs for $4.5 its a good idea to use the parking app. Lunch at Aruba Beach Cafe and pick a window seat. Very clean restrooms.
Andy C — Google review
It's a small area but it's lively and has everything you would expect at a beach pavilion. Food, water, restrooms, dog friendly. Great place to enjoy the beach, whether you are on the sand or chill under the shade.
Quelddy A — Google review
Beautiful beach! However being forced to pay $20 to park for 2 hours is completely ridiculous. The local police are cruising through the parking areas waiting to pounce on any vehicle that has exceed its time limit so that they can ticket/boot it. There are signs every that say it will cost you $65 to get the boot removed. Not very conducive to the tourists who come to the area and want to visit the local businesses as well as enjoy the beach. I was constantly looking at my watch and because of this, didn't really enjoy my time there. I won't return.

Friedt Family Park, located just behind Town Hall in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, is a well-appointed community park with various amenities on a small plot. It's named after Lucy Lawrence Friedt and her husband, Glenn, who played a significant role in the town's history. The park offers basketball courts, shuffleboard, municipal tennis courts, and a children's play area with sand. Visitors can enjoy the green space as a welcome haven away from urban life.
Great little park for small children. It was within walking distance of our Airbnb. The locals were very friendly. There is also a basket court there.

2 week vacation, was there twice a day with my son. Great park with bathrooms on site, childrens play park, basketball and tennis courts, would get rid of bocci court and add another basketball full court instead. Only saw people using it once during the two weeks. Players while there were always friendly and willing to play pick up matches no matter what age difference there was.

Sweet playground with sand all around! Great bathroom right next to playground so convenient, parking is a bit confusing though

This is a good neighborhood park for kids. Since it is two blocks from the beach, the playground is mostly sand. There is a pirate ship playground with slides and a moving bridge. There are also swings, picnic tables, a covered shelter, basketball courts, and bathrooms. In addition to city parking, there are meters that you can use the Pay By Phone app.

Absolutely beautiful playground for kids. Not too big. Safety place. Restroom close. Good for small kids. A lot of shade. Which important in Florida. It is lovely and nice place.

The Freidt Family Park is named in honor of Lucy Lawrence Friedt and her husband, Glenn who came to the area now known as Lauderdale-by-the Sea in search of a winter home. They are most well known in town history for securing the charter for the town of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea. In 1939 the couple purchased a cottage they named Villa Serena and developed the 145-room Villas by the Sea resort around it. During WWII the Freidt family could sit outside and watch the U Boat patrols off the coast. Mrs. Friedt was involved in several civic organizations including the Lauderdale-by-the-Sea Women's and Garden Clubs and the Daughter of the American Revolution. Mr. Freidt made his fortune in the auto industry and the Friedts donated the town's water system in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea and the land for the town tennis courts. They also gave money to the Community Church next to the park and the Fellowship Hall is dedicated to Glenn Friedt. Glen Freidt passed away in 1994 and Lucy passed away in 1996. The Freidt Family Park is located behind the town hall. Park amenities include a nicely maintained basketball court, bocci court, playground, shuffleboard, and tennis court. There is also an open green space with a paved pathway around the perimeter and benches. This park is great for taking the kids play, playing sports, and walking your dog. I had to chuckle when I overheard a conservation on the basketball court between some older gentlemen playing a game. "Hey youngster, did you get your hearing aid?" "I got two but the dog ate them!." So much to look forward to as I age. I give those guys credit. They were out hustling the ball over the court in the ninety degree heat.

It gets a bit crowded on the weekends, but the beauty of this spot makes it totally worth it. They’ve got showers available, which is perfect after a day in the sand and saltwater. Parking can be a bit of a challenge at this entrance, so it’s good to come early if you can. But once you're there, the views are something else. The sunrises and sunsets here are absolutely stunning, pure Florida magic!

Fort Lauderdale Beach spans over 7 miles of sandy oceanfront, offering a variety of water sports and a lively promenade with access to shopping and dining. The city is known as the yachting capital of the U.S., making it almost essential to explore its waterways by boat. Visitors can opt for a local water taxi with multiple stops or enjoy a private experience on an electric gondola tour or boat charter.
Been visiting with Friends/Family for over 20 years now... Aside from a well kept, well run beach by the city of Fort Lauderdale, this is a rather nice area to workout beachside. The Beach Blvd strip is full of life in the early AM right around sunrise & thereafter. A mixture of locals & tourists are there watching the sunrise & plenty runners show up very soon after sunrise. There's also a Muscle Beach type area with plenty of bars & built in equipment for exercise with a full blown basketball court beside it. Plenty of parking as well & very reasonably priced as well. Restrooms nearby, large. Farmer's Market on weekends, plenty of events year-round, well monitored by Fort Lauderdale Police, & very diverse crowd.

As of Sept. 2025, with temperatures in the high 80’s and low 90s, beech is beautiful and it’s free! It is wide - at least a 100 ft of very nice clean white sand. The water is so clean you can see the bottom of the ocean when you are standing chest high in water. And the water is still warm, unlike for example, the ocean along New Jersey. There are life guards frequently punctuated along the beech. And yes, there are plenty of places to eat, to drink, to shop and to listen to music along the boulevard that stretches for many miles. Parking is available on the street for about $3 an hour and in a garage for $10 for the 1st hr.
David P — Google review
There are so many beach options here. It depends on what type you like. The beach is always so white and clean A must-see place to watch the sunrise and sunset Occasionally, rainbows appear Many pigeons and birds are walking freely on the beach A great place to relax and sunbathe The sea water here is always warm. It is not cold. This is the best

Parking is $4 per hour, and you’ll need to cross the street to reach the beach and nearby restaurants. The beach itself is decent but had quite a bit of seaweed during my visit. 🏝️ ☀️

This little street (NE 9th St. & North Fort Lauderdale Beach boulevard) has nice stores around, but looks like it needs street cleaning ASAP! There is a pizza place on one side of this street and the smell is disgusting here even when you are just walking next to it, I can't even imagine sitting and eating food outside there. I don't care who's fault this is... If this would be my business on that street I would pull out a garden hose and wash this waste off...

I was on the beach yesterday, my son played in the sand I put my foot in the sand , when leaving and showering off , i notice oil spots on me & my son feet. Be careful ….. there’s an oil leak somewhere so now is not the time to beach bomb. Any other time it’s amazingly wonderful. Warm clean water , very nice residents in the area , and all around great people & good times .

Sand and waves were perfect. Did notice some strong currents so swim at your own risk. You can rent tables and umbrellas at a fair rate. There’s paid parking across the street and some restaurants within walking distance. The sand and beach overall were clean. Great place to bring the kids

Sea Watch On the Ocean is a refined seafood restaurant with a classic Florida ambiance and stunning ocean views. Located on a majestic bluff just 50 yards from the Atlantic Ocean, it offers breathtaking vistas of the shore, coconut trees, sand dunes, and sea grass. Since 1974, Sea Watch has been a popular seafood spot in Fort Lauderdale.
We had an amazing experience at this seafood restaurant! 🐟🦪 The food was incredibly delicious — fresh seafood, great flavors, and beautiful presentation. The service was warm, welcoming, and very fast — the staff were attentive and helpful the entire time. And the view from the terrace… stunning! Ocean breeze, palm trees, a perfect relaxing atmosphere. 🌴🌊✨ Highly recommend this place — and I will definitely come back again! ❤️

We enjoyed our dinner here. It was fairly slow on a Sunday night. We had conch fritters as and they were good. They tasted like hush puppies. Our mains were good but very lightly seasoned. My vegetable sides did not taste salted and the potatoes were plain with no kind of sauce. The bread though…. It was something good. This place came across as a little pricy for the quality but it has a nice view and relaxed atmosphere. The service was good.
K H — Google review
We had dinner at Sea Watch, and honestly, for the price, I’ve eaten better. The grouper lacked flavor—it didn’t even seem to have basic seasoning like salt or pepper. The bouillabaisse was simple and just okay; edible, but not memorable, and I’ve definitely had much better versions elsewhere. The tuna tartare was ok. On a positive note, the lobster bisque was enjoyable, and the chocolate dessert was excellent—rich, smooth, and the best part of the meal. Overall, for the price, I’ve had better dining experiences. Cozy place, but the food could use more attention to flavor and detail.
Yurima O — Google review
So.. first and foremost. If you go during the day, there is a wonderful view of the Ocean. Service was exceptional and it’s been a LONG time since I could say that. The con- I’d say the food was just ok. My filet didn’t have a ton of flavor, the portion for the amount of money paid wasn’t great. However, overall our experience was good because of the wonderful staff.
Burnzone A — Google review
I have not been to Sea Watch in 20 years. The Boathouse Baked Oysters were amazing! We will definitely be back! They also have the Diane Salad that Boatyard took off their menu.
Colleen F — Google review
Awesome food, the grouper was flaky and delicious. World's best key lime pie, no question about it - so good it didn't even make it to this review as a whole piece as we couldn't stop eating it. Fresh bread at the table (pumpernickel and a sesame grain), incredible wine selection to pair with your meals. Very modestly price for the service and quality of food.
Chris — Google review
We visited as a group of four people, around 2pm on the 24th of September. I ordered the lobster bisque which was ok and a Salmon BLT which was plain terrible. Two slices of bread and some traces of salmon pressed together in a contact grill. The whole dry mess did cost $22 I think. When the waiter eventually came by to clear the table he wasn't asking why I didn't eat up or if everything had been alright. I had to point out to him that the BLT had been plain terrible. Though he didn't come by after having served our meals to check on us, he replied that I should have said this earlier and he wouldn't be able to return it to the chef. He then asked if we wanted coffees or desserts, BUT wasn't making any efforts to offer me or the group anything for free which would have been an expected gesture. Generally the service and food we had wasn't up to the reviews on here, neither price or quality wise. Disappointing at best!

If you like top notch quality, delicious food in an elegant, spacious atmosphere then this is the place for you! We went for a late lunch (2:30). Their lunch main menu is varied but we opted for the Lunch Price Fix Menu (starter, entree, dessert) at $35.00 each. Each portion was generous and absolutely delicious! We both had the Tempura Rock Shrimp for starters, which was light (NOT greasy tasting), flavorful with the shredded multi colored cabbage and dipping sauce (we had on the side rather than tossed together). For entrees, the Crispy Skin Butterflied Rainbow Trout was great! However, I did not eat the skin! I peeled it away to eat the perfectly cooked delicious, flakey fish! The Chicken Milanese was excellent as well! The accompanying sides with both entrees paired perfectly and created a flavor dance with your taste buds!!! The desserts of Chocolate Pearl Brownie and Crème Brûlée were exceptionally heavenly and perfect finish to a perfect lunch!!! Much kudos to the wait staff for their attentiveness and to the chef(s) for their wonderful creations! Even though it was a stormy day on our visit, the Blue Moon Fish Co. is our new favorite restaurant and will be going back again for another tasteful adventure!

Celebrated my wife's birthday there this past Sunday and it was absolutely amazing, the place it self was lively the ambiance was top notch, the service was 11 out of 10 our servers were completely awesome in everyway allowed us to relax and enjoy the moment no rushing or forcing courses out, they were knowledgeable about all the food and oysters and they completely added positive marks to the overall score and as for the food it was delicious we started with a tasting of all four oysters 2 from the east coast 2 from the west all but one were shucked perfect (I got the one with a big shell peice luckily not her) then we went on to the squid prepared in a southwestern style on toastones on a mole sauce with the squid being so tender and delicious apps 10 out of 10...as for the main we did the florida lobster tail special 10 out of 10 and the sea bass 11 out of 10 both course were accompanied with tasty sides but they did not need them bc the main were good enough alone I would of spent 60 dollars just for the sea bass alone on a plate...then for her birthday we did a amaretto cake that was mind blowing and the bread pudding with banana ice cream that could get me back there just to stop in for desert...all in all the price was completely justified bc the night was perfect the setting was perfect the service was perfect and the food was perfect even with that horrible shell the seabass earned a extra point to make up for having to take a point away for leaving a shucked shell that was that bad.. we will be back again and again!!

If you’re looking for the perfect way to spend your Sunday, this all-you-can-eat brunch is it! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and full of good vibes. The food selection was incredible — everything from made-to-order omelets and crispy bacon to fresh seafood, pastries, and a dessert table that looked straight out of a magazine. The staff was friendly and attentive, keeping our drinks topped off and making sure we had everything we needed. Every dish tasted fresh and flavorful — you can tell they really put care into what they serve. Between the great food, bottomless mimosas, and patio scenery this brunch turned an ordinary Sunday into something special. We will definitely be coming back — 10/10 recommend! We own an ice cream shop and like to visit others when we're on vacation. Sloans is such a cute treat shop with great ice cream. I tried the vegan strawberry, It was delicious! My husband got the chocolate chip ice cream sandwich. The cookies were warm and delicious. In our opinion, there was not enough ice cream for the size of these two large cookies and the ice cream melted very quickly. We would have preferred smaller cookies for the amount of ice cream, or a second scoop for the size of the cookies. The manager is a gem. Super friendly and helpful. I highly recommend a visit !

12/11/2024- Small cute place . Inside and outside seating . We went for the crepes Wednesday - Sunday. Awesome choice sweet & savory .i went with choose my own from a few columns. I choose bacon, chicken, brie, it comes also with a small side salad . G went with a breakfast, French toast Nutella, whipped cream plus a nice ripe banana. I watch him make my crepe, it was outside the crepe machines. It had so much of everything . Took half home .

We wanted a bit of France for our anniversary dinner and found Frenchy's. It is small and antiquated but has personality with little bits of France speckled around the restaurant. There is a giant mural on the wall that invites you to eat tableside to a nice view. There is inside and outside seating. Our server was very pleasant although, we waited quite a while for water, wine and bread. Our wine also was included in our 3 course meal but would have liked to have been offered choice of upgrade or even a wine list to view which we did ask for but never received. We started with the pear and goat cheese salad which was good but the escargot was perfectly cooked and sauced. That was our winner for the night. Our meals were good... the pork slow cooked and was melt in your mouth but my cod needed to be sent back because it was very underdone. It was also in need of more flavor overall but the potatoes and vegetables were spot on for flavor and I ate every bite. We also had the creme brûlée which was delightful. We will return.

Tried Frenchys for the first time and couldn’t have been more pleased. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. I got the crepe with ratatouille, my wife got the escargot crepe. One highlight of the menu is their refreshing freshly squeezed juice, which can also be ordered to-go.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at DellacaSeas Cafe, a charming establishment that truly captures the essence of Buffalo. I'm not sure how this place has good reviews. Maybe we were here on a bad day, but overall this place was awful. For starters, the service was basically non-existent. It seemed there were 3 servers and the place was not too busy, but no one ever checked on our meal (perhaps bc they knew it was so bad), no one refilled beverages, etc. Iced tea is not fresh brewed (our server excitedly told us it was from the machine) and the hot tea options were all strange---dandelion root, for example. They did have several plain black tea bags so I made my own iced tea. My tea mug was stained when given to me and I watched another table return their silverware due to it being dirty. My husband and I both had the double benedict with home fries (potato pieces). Our meals came out at the same time & mine was cold, while his was appropriate. I had about 10 potatos while he literally had 3. Ham was extremely salty--I know country ham usually is, but this tasted like it was bathed in a salt bath with salt added on top----it was inedible. My husband didn't mind the salty taste as much as me---so maybe others will like it, but if you're not a fan of salt, this dish is not for you. My husband liked the hollandaise sauce---I enjoyed his bc it was hot,but my cold hollandaise sauce was awful. I added tomato on my benedict and it came with the produce sticker attached! The bathroom was absolutely filthy---had we known that prior to ordering/eating we would have immediately left. Overall no reason to go here---the servers weren't friendly, food was mediocre at best, and cleanliness is a major issue!!

If you're in the mood for a delightful breakfast or a cozy coffee break, make sure to swing by Bean & Barnacle at the Plunge Beach Hotel. This charming café offers a relaxed atmosphere perfect for enjoying pastries and expertly brewed coffee. Conveniently located near Anglins Pier, it’s an ideal pit stop before heading to the beach. While you’re in the area, consider exploring other nearby dining options like Anglins Beach Cafe and Aruba Beach Cafe for diverse menus that cater to various tastes.
On the way to beach looking for a quick stop, and found the sweetest Cafe and staff along the way. This shop was very convenient right off the road and easy parking, with alot of space if I was planning to stay for awhile. The staff was very personable and helpful and my drink was steamed to perfection. Sometimes, when ordering steamed almond mylk; the wrong type is used for steaming, or for too long, which creates a bitter flavor, however this was one of the best ones I had with almond mylk in the area. Will be returning most certainly!

They no longer have Starbucks coffee, they serve panther coffee, also their posted hours are incorrect, we have gone at 4pm Monday and Sunday and they were closed. Lattes, machiatos and mochas and white chocolate mochas have been good. My kids have enjoyed the frappes.
Savannah H — Google review
Nice lil spot. They serve Panther coffee, which is apparently a pretty popular coffee. It was good. The juice was good also, but its just soda and a mixer. It's not a "from scratch" type of juice. The vibe in there was really cool, and close to the beach. The downside was there was only 1 guy working, so it took a little while to order. He was working hard, but can only go so fast.

The place is very nice, spacious, and the service was good, but they don't have a good barista; they just make coffee without knowing how to do it. Don't sell me a flat white when you're giving me a boiling latte. I wouldn't drink coffee here again, I thought since they used Panther coffee beans they would have good baristas.

We had such a great experience! The service was fantastic, and those iced lattes were delicious, especially the coconut flavor, which quickly became my favorite! We enjoyed it so much that we went back twice during our stay, and each time we were treated to a solid drink.

Great aesthetic and decor inside. Service wasn't great the day we went. Kinda slow and we were the only two people there. Maybe it was an off day. Coffee was great though.

Great coffee spot, that also has wine and gelato. This place is located inside of the Plunge beach resort, but accessible from the street. We got coffee there a couple of times on the way out of the hotel in the am.

I wanted to like this place, great ambiance, cool setting being shared with the hotel lobby, good service but the menu is very short, wish they had a few more options, nice place to chill before the beach or walk, they also close earlier than most coffee shops around.

This is place is a MUST go. I wasn’t expecting much from Mickey’s because of the the location and you arrive the interior is kinda dated. However the money was spent on the quality of FOOD. The portions are huge! We had so much food. The best part was during Happy Hour the food and drinks are 40% during summer months. You really have to go!!!

Had a great time at Mickey’s bistro on Disco night! The place is lively and fun! 🤩 The food was Amazing! Huge portions and beautifully presented. Had the shrimp appetizer, shish-kebob and lamb lollipops. Perfectly cooked. Service was excellent. DJ was Spot on with his picks which made the whole night super fun and special and brought back some great memories of the 70’s! A great place to dance 🪩 and enjoy yourself. Definitely recommend!

Wow, big free parking lot. We walked in and we sat at the bar. It was early. We started off with a few drinks. I then ordered there Wednesday special which was a 16 ounce steak potato. $32.99 . G had the other special which was the pork tenderloin, mashed potatoes and some broccoli. We were served bread, and butter.all good

What a night!!! We happened upon Mickey’s, on the alternate Elvis Sunday, so we missed the dueling Pianos, but we’re not disappointed we still had a full show! The food was 100% made for each and every order. We really got lucky walking into this place last night, and normally I don’t indulge in desserts but their cheesecake was amazing. The atmosphere and vibe was such an experience and the staff and service were a hit. If you are looking for a show and great food, highly recommend stopping by.

Fort Lauderdale Beach provides more than 50 activities to indulge in and nearly 70 dining options. From watersports to spas, shops to nightlife venues, there's something for everyone.
Had a nice time at Fort Lauderdale Beach! The water was a bit cold, but I still enjoyed it, visited in October. There was no seaweed on the beach during this time. One thing to note though, there was this clear, gel-like substance in the water that looked like jellyfish, and it seemed to be everywhere. The beach itself was great, and I loved that they had tables available right on the sand.

Sam is the new owner operator of Gold Coast Scuba, he and his staff are very pleasant. As a beginner, my wife signed up our two daughters and I for the snorkeling tour. We were lead by Charles, and he was personable and attentive. I had a lot of questions, and Charles patiently answered them all. He was very welcoming and the three is us enjoyed the experience. There’s ample metered parking in front of the store.

Gold Coast Scuba was a wonderful experience! Had a 1 on 1 refresher course and subsequent 2 dives with Danny and he was the best, super personable and funny but got all the info across and was always there with and in depth and smart answer to any question, and of course he’s a scuba pro so very valuable to learn from(he said he stopped counting at 3500 dives!) Sam who is the owner of the shop is also an amazing person who’s always thinking of cool innovative new ways to learn and experience scuba and really wants his customers to have the best and easiest experience possible. We had some scheduling conflicts that came about because of inclement weather but Sam was extremely helpful and flexible on that and we were able to move it to a time that was good for me on my short visit here. Overall I genuinely had a great time and couldn’t recommend a scuba shop more!

The new owner, Sam, is the ABSOLUTE BEST!! Had a dive weekend with my dive buddy. We stayed in Lauderdale by the Sea. We hoped to shore dive, but it was too rough. We dove Blue Heron Bridge both days instead. Sam was kind and fun! Rented and refilled our tanks with him. Ended up needing replacement goggles. Highly recommend.

Rented some tanks and weights from Sam yesterday. Really nice dive shop, and Sam is pretty awesome. He was telling us about some reef documentation and preservation work he's involved with. Great to see people starting to raise awareness about the declining health of the reefs off the beaches in South Florida. Great work, please keep it up.

Sam, the owner came in and opened up his shop just so we could rent three sets of snorkel gear this spring. The customer service was great. He answered his phone twice when we called prior to the rental. We ran into him at the water and he was pleasant and helpful there as well. I recommend that Everyone give this business an opportunity to serve them.

Sam is awesome. I was certified at Gold Coast over 10 years ago and had not dove in about 5 years. He caught me back up on the basics. The gear was nice and new. We did a beach dive off of Commercial. Great day under the sea. Thanks Sam!! 🌊🤿🔥👊🏻

Mai-Kai Restaurant and Polynesian Show is a vibrant local landmark that has been drawing in crowds since 1956. The restaurant offers a lively atmosphere with tiki bars, traditional Polynesian performances, and colorful South Seas cuisine. Guests can enjoy exotic dishes and tropical drinks from an award-winning menu while being entertained by agile warriors and beautiful maidens performing native dances from the South Pacific.
You should go. I had the duck salad and it was very good. They had GF next to gluten free meals so it was easy for me to select and there were several options. Entertainers were so talented, dancers musicians and MC, they all did a fabulous job. Wait staff was attentive and I loved the valet. It was $8 and you don’t have an option but it made it easy to get in and out. It’s an event not just going out to dinner. So enjoy it for what it is. We are lucky to have them “back” in Fort Lauderdale. Well done everyone.

I hadn’t been to Mai-Kai in years, and this was my first visit since they reopened — it did not disappoint! The show was absolutely amazing, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was beautiful. The service was also excellent; everyone was so attentive and welcoming. I went for my 37th birthday with family and friends, and we all had a wonderful time. My 5-year-old son especially loved the show, exploring the garden, and his favorite part — the volcano dessert! It was such a fun and memorable experience overall. So happy to see this iconic place back and better than ever! 🌺✨

I started going here for happy hour with my friends for the rum barrels in the pirate ship 13 years ago, before they ever renovated. We never came here for the food but for happy hour inside the pirate ship since it was half off for both drinks and appetizers, sold. Being able to walk around the garden out back with a drink was very relaxing. Moving forward to now, it's incredible to see the transformation of this property and business. You can tell from the second you pull up that Disney is now involved and not in a bad way (except for the gift shop pricing in my opinion). After visiting recently, yes, the happy hour menu has changed but if you're going for their staple rum barrel, you win not be disappointed. If you were happy about their outside garden area before, let me just tell you, your mind will be blown and you will be so excited and thrilled to see how the garden looks now.
Brandi D — Google review
Our server was very attentive and very helpful when it came to deciding on what to eat. I was a bit nervous since some of the reviews said that the price to food ratio was off. Although the appetizers were a bit lack luster, the size was small and the temperature was more on the cooler side. The entrees were fantastic flavor and portion wise. I am very happy with the food service and show provided. The restaurant is unique with its theme and surprisingly very educational with the show.

We had an amazing dinner at Mai-Kai! The atmosphere is truly one-of-a-kind — lush, tropical, and full of classic Polynesian charm. The food was excellent, full of flavor and beautifully presented, and our server Sam made the evening even better. Although we didn’t stay for the show this time, the dining experience alone was well worth the visit. A perfect spot for a memorable night out and a hint of Halloween charm. 🌺🍹✨

Fire show and dancing super entertaining. The food was also delicious. My favorites - the nonalcoholic beverages- there was this banana smoothie with a hint of strawberry, mango. The lobster bisque was perfect. And the pineapple pound cake was super moist and came with ice cream. The decor here was wonderful. It felt like you were transported to an island.
Jacqueline S — Google review
Ok, to be fair those who went with me enjoyed it more than I did. I thought the food was way over priced for the quality. The service was ok, but could have been excellent, but our waiter had way to many tables. I felt sorry for him as he was trying. The show just didn't hit for me. The others in my party enjoyed it. I thought it was boring and hard to follow as they jumped around to Polynesian locals on customs and words. I would have preferred a Polynesian story via dance and singing. The best part for me was the outdoor gardens. They were nice. I guess with the ticket prices and the cost of dinner and drinks for 4 people we were somewhere between $400 and $500. I just didn't think we got our money's worth.

A great little place with a decent menu. I personally had the ahi tuna rare with the fish tacos. The fish taco special were really good, but I think it was kind of odd to give me chop sticks to eat the tuna when it was only just into two pieces. I ended up having to dual wield a combination of knife and fork and chopsticks. The tuna itself tasted fresh, but the outside sear was not intense enough. The host and waiter was amazing with their service and kept topping up my water. The Canadian Polar bear on Florida definitely needed they.

Stopped by here for breakfast on Sunday. Atmosphere is great and the outside seating is very inviting... breakfast and service was good but could have been better on both counts.
Vashudev M — Google review
Was extremely disappointed. when I broke open my fish to eat it, a odor took my breath away. I stopped for a moment, looked around and thought to myself. What in the world was that never did. I think it could be my food the piece of fish that I broke open had a terrible odor up close of bleach yes bleach I was there with my son and my wife. They looked at me and was wondering what happened I had both of them smell it and they couldn’t believe it either the other piece of fish did not have this odor when you broke it open only one of the two not only was I so surprised, but so disappointed in such a beautiful restaurant to fail their customers. I asked my waiter to come over. I told him what happened and he said that they are cleaning the kitchen. It is late and he does apologize. I thought to myself that’s no excuse, but I didn’t say anything because I don’t believe it was his fault. The manager came over got my plate, smelt it, and says he doesn’t smell anything at that point. I was very upset because everyone else smells it but the manager so with this being said please please be careful going to this place. I paid my bill. I tipped my waiter. I left with no hard feelings. But left a little wiser to be more careful.

You can't go wrong without door seating in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea. The Village Grille doesn't have a ton of it, but the small downtown area is great for people watching and soaking up the sun. Our server was great. Patient and attentive if I recall correctly. it's been a few weeks since we were visiting but it our visit to the village was pleasant! Everything was on point. The only thing we were confused by was the fruit plate when it was delivered with a yogurt in the center - however - it was delicious, tasted fresh, and was a great value! In fact all the food was reasonably priced. We will be back!

Kate L — Google review
I feel mixed about this, my kids liked their food, so I'd say we can recommend the burgers and my son liked his chicken Alfredo. But this restaurant is in Lauderdale by the SEA (near the SEA CREATURES!) I ordered the SEAfood special, which came with mahi, scallops, shrimp and crab cakes. It's like I was at a gas station in Wisconsin. The mahi was about the size of a pack of playing cards, half as thick, and had the consistency of a pair of Doc Martens (the sole). The two microscopic scallops were the size of a nickel and probably cooked 8-10 minutes. Do you know how fast scallops cook? The cooks at the Village don't, they thought they were making a well done steak. The crab cakes tasted like a paste made from LBTS construction sawdust. The two shrimp weren't bad, so they had that going for them. I only tried one though, then asked our waiter to bring me the chicken Alfredo. Hard to mess that up. My comment about the gas station in Wisconsin might have been a bit harsh, but this food was nowhere near Wawa quality. Our waiter was great, he still got 20%, but the cooks deserve to chip in a bit for making him bring that plate out to a customer. It sounds like the breakfast is good, maybe stick to that.
Brad K — Google review
We went to the Village Grille to have dinner. The food was excellent. The wait staff (Joanna) was fantastic. She got us to try a Peanut butter cake. In my mind it should not have worked, but it did! The cake was a layer of chocolate cake, a layer of peanut butter. I think it was 3 layers. The final layer was chocolate cake, peanut butter & chocolate frosting. It was deadly as in deadly delicious!!! Thank you Joanna for the recommendation & the excellent service.

Basilic Vietnamese Grill in Fort Lauderdale is a cozy restaurant that offers a modern twist on traditional Vietnamese dishes such as banh mi and pho. The restaurant's clean and serene ambiance sets the stage for an array of fresh spring rolls, Hanoi-style noodles, and flavorful pho. Their vermicelli noodle bowls with grilled pork, shrimp, chicken, or beef are popular lunch options, while main courses like lemongrass chicken provide a satisfying dining experience.
This restaurant turned out to be a hidden gem for us. The food is absolutely delicious. Portions are humongous. The service is super friendly.

2/15/25—Against my will, we took our friend and his new wife out for dinner. I was having a great nap and really didn’t feel like eating, but I figured, if I had to go, at least we could pick a place where the food wasn’t too heavy. So, we chose this restaurant. Now, back in 2009, I went to Vietnam and also lived in LA, where I frequented many restaurants like this—never had a bad experience. But this place? Let’s just say I’ve definitely had better pho. And to make matters worse, the company wasn’t exactly helping. The new wife was painfully “shy”, barely spoke, and didn’t even say thank you after we paid for their meal. My husbands friend had this idea that we being wives would become best friends—just because they are close. but even mas husband , he was like, I never want to take her out to eat again. She is what some would call “unfriendly.” I try to be nice and say she’s too shy, but let’s be real—she’s just very unfriendly. On the bright side, the coffee here was fantastic. As for our server, the others thought she wasn’t very friendly, but I actually managed to strike up a conversation with her. She checked on us a few times, and honestly, I thought she was nice. At least someone at the table was talking!

I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a while. I was excited about the reviews and wanted to try authentic Vietnamese cuisine. As I requested my tab I saw a small roach crawling on the table. The waitress instantly killed the roach with her bare hands and said it was an ant. When she showed me her hand the roach was squished against her finger. I started looking around the table/corners to find another roach - a bigger one that was dead. I can say that the waitress reimbursed the full tab and tried to offer more free food to go. I didn’t want to write this review to not hurt the establishment but this is UNACCEPTABLE. The food was good, but roaches being in the establishment is a no no no.

10/10 food service and atmosphere! HIGHLY recommend. The broth was not too salty and super delicious filled with flavor. We got the shrimp pho and the wok shrimp stir fry. Well def be back!!!

First time at the restaurant and this was the best bowl of oxtail PHO I've had all year. Perfect for a rainy Sunday night. The young man who helped me was also very pleasant. Cute cozy atmosphere to have a drink and watch the game as well.

One of the best Asian places i have been to. Was a week day. Lunch time..pretty open tables. We ordered the summer rolls, noodles soup and vermicelli bowl. There was one waitress who attended to us. Very patient, lovely smile and super attentive. Loved the food and the ambience. Next time i go to Fort Lauderdale.. this place deserves a definite visit

I visited Chatham House on a Saturday night and will definitely return. It was one of the most enjoyable dining experiences I've had recently. The staff was both friendly and professional, and the food was all incredibly tasty. Our server, Michael, was excellent - attentive without being overly talkative, and he knew just when to make us laugh. The owner also kept a watchful eye on everything, although it seemed unnecessary as everything ran smoothly.
We went here early last Saturday night and will absolutely be back again. This is one of the best restaurant experiences we have had in recent memory. The staff was friendly but professional and the food was all delicious! Michael our server was fantastic ... not overly chatty but very attentive and making us laugh at all the right times. The owner was keeping an eye on everything but he didn't need to be since it went seamlessly at least to our eyes. My mother's drink - a manhattan - was even just right and that doesn't happen often and we like when she is happy! It is so nice to have a great evening out like this ... I highly recommend everything about this restaurant.
Kathryn W — Google review
The food is outstanding as is the service. Our waiter Michael is attentive, engaging, and thoughtful. Excellent cocktails, and while the wine selection is not huge the offering is comprehensive and of high quality. Everyone in our party of five enjoyed their dining experience tremendously.

What a delightful and beautifully appointed restaurant! The staff waits on you hand and foot and the food is exemplary. The flavors compliment each other, which makes it apparant that the chef knows what he/she is doing...a true epicurean. Your senses will be titallated and your palate, pleased. If you want a wonderful dining experience, give Chatham House a try. They will not disappoint.

Our experience at Chatham house was amazing! We were a party of 12, that couldn't easily find an accommodating restaurant on a Saturday. Everyone was so welcoming, we were so we taken care of, so many nemebers of staff were tending to us. And the FOOD! So delicious! We had so many different things, seafood, steaks, chicken, desert, soups.. not one complaint. One of the best dining experiences we have ever had!!!
Katelin M — Google review
We found this restaurant on our last day of our vacation. I wish we would have found it first! We had appetizers, drinks and dinner at the bar. Alex was our bartender/waiter. He was absolutely wonderful. If you come to Lauderdale By The Sea, please make this restaurant your first stop. You will not be disappointed.
Linda M — Google review
I truly believe these people have a problem with single diners. The evening I went they were barely moderately busy, I waited 40 minutes for the server to bring water and take my drink order. The it took 20 minutes to get water and bread. Then another 30 minutes went by before he took my order. 45 minutes later my pasta finally arrived. I wanted to walk out. Keep in mind the entire tire the server kept apologizing so I believe the fault was the kitchen. Single diners, STAY AWAY
Catherine T — Google review
For starters - this restaurant seems out of place, seeing as it's surrounded by casual dining and bars. While it pretends to be upscale, it truly feels like you're attending a banquet hall with elderlies. Service was really slow. I mean wayyyy too slow for how empty the place was. There were maybe 10 people in the entire restaurant - not including our party. Yet, it took nearly 50 minutes for 3 entrees and 2 appetizers to come out. Our server was super friendly, but some of the staff gave off a weird vibe (something about the way the male staff members stare at you - CREEPY). When we asked for additional bread (bc the food was taking forever to come out), the second round went from gourmet to publix hogie rolls. The meals were alright at best. The salads had better portions than the entrees and appetizers. In the end... 3 soups = $28 3 caesar salads = $44 2 apps = $31 3 entrees = $74 2 beers = $10 4 soft drinks = $10 2 Coffees = $5.50 %20 gratuity automatically added = $40.50 $255 later - i felt i could have had a feast in any of the other surrounding restaurants without coughing up this kind of tab. On top of that, once you've paid, they expect you to keep it moving. Would I come back? Hell nah. There's Waayy more quality for half the money in sooo many places nearby. The sad thing is, if they dropped the elegant act and the ridiculous prices - it could actually be a decent spot to have a drink or two. To the owner... begin with a better menu and more reasonable prices, hmm? That is, unless you enjoy running a dead empty restaurant. The quality of the food and ambiance cannot justify what you charge. Ever been to Olive Garden???

Stonewall museum is attached to library but in a separate wing. Great collection of LGBT books and memorabilia. Informative pride month exhibit and video playing. Books for sale or check out with a library card. Free but donations appreciated.

I was somewhat reluctant to enter this museum thinking it would be a downer. I am glad I went. What struck me was how relatively recently the GLTBQ community has faced adversity (and still does) and how far we have come for basic (not extra) rights. As a younger person who does not think twice about expressing who I am, you realize that just a few decades ago it was so different and you never can take things for granted. Everyone should visit this museum for that reason.

What a great place. Even though I'm gay myself and I know our queer history, I still got very thoughtful there. I had tears in my eyes. This gallery/museum was very informative, with much information about LGBTQ+ history, and the woman who was worling there was lovely and helpful. It was a really lovely experience to view their exhibit for the 50th anniversary of Stonewall and see images and flyers from the timeline - and it was also lovely to see the timeline that started before and went well beyond Stonewall - a really nice view of the hiatory of the community through time.

Rock climbing gym
projectROCK is an indoor climbing facility that offers a unique blend of traditional indoor sport-climbing and outdoor climbing experiences. The facility provides classes for beginners as well as challenging sections for intermediate and advanced climbers. It features numerous climb choices with various ratings, multiple walls modeled after famous climbs in America, and enticing stalagmite/stalactite structures. Visitors praise the friendly and knowledgeable staff who ensure safety while providing helpful tips to conquer the climbing walls.
In February 2025, during our day off, we visited ProjectRock, an indoor climbing and fitness center. With no prior experience, we purchased a day pass for $27.82 after tax. Rope climbing required a training course, so we opted for bouldering, free climbing without harnesses. The routes were color-coded by difficulty, allowing us to follow the markings and challenge ourselves.it was super challenging! But it was really fun!! I’ll try again next time…
J ( — Google review
We brought our 10yo as a surprise and had such a great day at Project Rock! Took the belay class, which was informative and thorough, and I felt safe belaying my daughter. She spent the whole day climbing and LOVED it. The staff was friendly and helpful when we asked questions. Very clean facility. Would highly recommend a visit here if you're interested in climbing.
Cindi M — Google review
Great climbing gym — highly recommend. Just be aware that in order to climb with a harness (top rope or lead), you’ll need to get certified first. Certification is only given during classes, which take place twice a day in the evening. So even if you’re experienced, you won’t be able to jump right in and climb with a belay system upon arrival. That said, the place is excellent overall.
Светлана Р — Google review
Awesome place. I came with my 8 year old daughter, and she had an absolute blast. Staff are communicative, clear, fun, and prioritize safety. I found the website a little difficult to navigate as someone with no climbing experience, but I called and spoke to someone who was very helpful in explaining things to me. We started on the boulder, which is less high and requires no harness. Physically, it was pretty challenging for both of us, but we both made it far enough up the easier climbs for us to feel accomplished. It was really hard at first, but we got better with practice. The high climbing courses require a harness and someone to belay the climber. They offer classes to learn how to do this, or you can schedule a "guided climb" with a staff member - these need to be scheduled in advance. The high courses have greater variety, so some were physically easier than the boulder but obviously scarier due to the height. We got very lucky that they had someone available for a guided climb for my daughter, and she had a real blast. Kyle was fantastic. Huge thanks to everyone and looking forward to next time!

Had my first experience at projectROCK Oakland Park on April 9th, and it definitely won’t be my last. I was brought by a longtime friend who’s a member, and I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to climbing. The facility is impressive—clean, well-organized, and full of positive energy. The staff were welcoming, and the variety of walls and routes caters to every level. As a first-timer, I managed to top out on a 5’6 wall called “Try the Grey Stuff” and even surprised myself by completing a 5’9 route called “Friction Labs Friction Slabs.” Both were super fun and challenging in different ways. Huge thanks to my friend for bringing me and to the projectROCK community for making the experience so great. Can’t wait to come back and tackle some new climbs!
Superdave H — Google review
I’ve been climbing here with my kids since march and we are hooked. The recent setters and frequency of setting routes is awesome and it seems like almost every time I go there’s something new to try. From my first climb there renting equipment to several months later having my own gear every step of the way I’ve had no complaints. Staff is super cool, the climbing community is awesome. Even on the busiest days I’ve gone there’s plenty of climbs for everyone. The members only events and hours are also awesome and a great incentive to be a member. Rock on!

My kids joined the summer camp two years ago and we have been hooked ever since! Macy is an amazing coach and mentor. She has accompanied us to competitions and we highly recommend getting the kids involved in climbing. This is a great facility with great people.

Embark on an unforgettable Sea Experience with a marina retailer in Fort Lauderdale offering scuba diving, glass-bottom snorkeling trips, and regular classes. Explore the three natural reef systems located half a mile off the coast, teeming with diverse marine life. The crew provides clear safety instructions and guides guests through the underwater adventure. Visitors have reported seeing various fish, coral reefs, and jellyfish during their excursions.
Captain Parker and Hermando made our family snorkeling trip an experience to remember! They gave us a tour of the waterfront while taking us out, pointed out some of the notable houses and buildings, and shared local info and trivia. While out snorkeling they were attentive and made sure we were taken care of. Friendly staff and we had a blast!

Highly recommend Sea Experience, whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned diver!! The Sea Experience team is full of knowledgeable and dedicated professionals who strive to ensure you have an outstanding experience while being safe and having fun! My wife and I were visiting from SC and dove here over the course of three days to finish a few certifications. We were extremely impressed with the caliber of the Captains, Scuba Instructors, and Divemasters (especially Alyssa, Anthony, Matt, and Mike) throughout the entire trip! The dive sites were pristine with abundant marine life and great visibility!! Again, cannot recommend enough, we will be back to get both our kids certified for open water! If you’re looking to start diving, pickup a few courses, or just to have an amazing dive, choose Sea Experience, promise you won’t regret it!!

Based on my extensive experience as a diver and instructor spanning over four decades, I would enthusiastically award Sea Experience a perfect rating. Their unwavering professionalism, profound knowledge, and genuine passion for the marine environment are truly exceptional. My diving experiences with Bob, Jakob, Jeff, and the entire team have been consistently positive, with Captain Alyssa demonstrating outstanding leadership. While I may not recall all crew members' names, I greatly appreciated their patience, understanding, and helpfulness towards each diver. I wholeheartedly recommend Sea Experience and anticipate diving with them again during my next visit to the Fort Lauderdale area. S. Cooper, Ph.D., P.G. PADI #21699

I would highly recommend using Sea Experience!!!! we are definitely going back!!!!! I don't dive, but I sure will go snorkeling. 😅

I did three days of diving with these guys to get my Advanced Open Water Certification. Everyone was amazing through the whole process! My instructor Mike was super patient and answered every question, making sure that I knew what was happening with each dive. Our first day on the boat, we had Captain Alyssa and Dive Master Armando who were fabulous! Our second and third days out were with Captain Joe and Dive Master Joshua. Extra props to these gentlemen for making sure everyone got back on the boat safely when we got caught in a storm during the second dive! I will definitely be diving with this crew again next time I am in Ft. Lauderdale and am greatly looking forward to it!

Walked into Sea Experience strolling and exploring the Bahia Mar area where we were staying ..! Rick the manager was the one who helped us with booking our snorkeling tour ..! Price range is pretty decent ; and he even guided us to take some medication for sea sickness ( which was so necessary, as me and my hubby are both sensitive to sea movement ) Check in was easy; and the marina was right by the store .! So not much transport from One spot to another .! Great convenient location . Instructions were communicated/ announced very precisely yet very humorously ..! ALYSSA was our Boat Captain; Adah was the assistant / crew and Courtney was a trainee .. The onboard crew was super friendly ; attentive ; Humorous ; Knowledgeable & helpful .. There were chips and soda for purchase for $1 while on boat ..( tht was nice ) Also, the gears were well maintained and clean ..! Highly recommend the Sea Experience for a fantastic Experience with water activities 💯👍🏻
