Where to eat: the 50 best restaurants in Bennington

Not my first time here and was looking forward to a good meal. Waitress did not know the specials for the day when I ordered a bowl of beef barley soup and questioned why I ordered it. I should have stopped there. It looked and tasted like a can of Campbell’s Soup. Ordered the Caesar salad and it arrived looking like it had gone through a lawn mower. The romaine was chopped, saturated with bottled dressing and the croutons all dumped in a bowl. The pictures taken actually make it look better than it did on arrival and after I had mixed it up. Found one small sliver of what I think was Parmesan. The saving grace to this meal was the fried green beans with ranch dipping sauce. Outer coating was crunchy, arrived hot and tasted like green beans. The 5 oz Dunkel Beer had a good malty flavor and reminded my friend of Germany. Service hard to get. Waitress was assigned all over restaurant and took a while to bring bill. Got very loud during time there which made it hard to have a conversation without having to speak up to be heard. Sorry to say will not be returning.

Awesome awesome awesome! We came into Madison brewing for a beer and ended up doing a late lunch/ early dinner. We started at the bar where the bartender Melissa was amazing. She was very nice and accommodating with tastes to see what we would like. We had a round of their pumpkin beer with the sugar ring, yum! For lunch we started with the Bavarian pretzel ( hot and buttery)! We also had the sweet and spicy Brussels sprouts which were really good as well. For our meal, I ordered the Big Mikes steak burger which had cheddar cheese and their smokehouse bacon. It was awesome served with fries. We also ordered 2 cranberry Melts we also had the mad Vermont melt (ham and cheddar) Everything was perfect and Morgan was great taking care of our table! I highly recommend!

Great drinks, delicious food, personable service. Super loud but that's to be expected in a tavern atmosphere. Always a long wait to be seated. Like most restaurants in this current age they seem to be perpetually short staffed but the staff they do have are always great. Awesome onion rings and the maple chipotle wings never disappoint. I do wish they would bring back the mussels steamed in beer finished with the creamy shallot sauce & bread, but understand that menus have to evolve and change. It would be great to bring back as a special occasionally.

8-15-24. First time diner. Came recommended I went with the clam strips and fries. A huge order, but my system did not take kindly and sat repeatedly to dispel a yellow flood.😫. Tasted great. Maybe it was bad mixers in the two exotic drinks I had. Either way I will think twice. The place is spacious with multiple stories with great potential.

I liked the good sized portions and delicious ale. Great little place.

Good bar food. We had a couple of sandwiches and soup. I also tried the peanut butter stout, which was excellent.

Food was excellent with attention to presentation. Beer was some of the best we had in Vermont. Highly recommend.

All the diner classics plus some unique options on the menu. Hubby tried the country Benedict and I had the cornbread French toast. The food was very good but cold before I could eat and the butter wouldn’t spread. It was 55 degrees outside and they had windows and doors open. I put on a jacket and closed the window next to me. The waitress came over and opened it again saying “we’re keeping them open”

Hubs and I went to the Blue Benn a few months ago and LOVED our breakfast!! I had the blueberry pancakes; which were light and fluffy, had a ton of blueberries in them and since the stack was too much for me to eat, I took a box home. They were equally good the next day!! Hubs had a ham and cheese omelet that he said was amazing!! We were in the area again and we were dying to try their lunch. I ordered the broiled haddock (love fried, but I'm trying to be fairly good) with mashed potatoes and coleslaw. The waitress was very nice and asked if I would like gravy on my mashed.....yes please!!! A few minutes later she brought me cottage cheese (not coleslaw, but i love CC so I took it), then my fish. The gravy was just melted butter, which again...made the potatoes taste good, and maybe their idea of gravy is butter??? The haddock was tasty and the red bliss mashed were tasty. Hubs had a turkey club which he loved. It came with hand cut fries that were crispy and fresh. He also got blueberry pancakes ti try there, and take home. Those were spot on again!!! Overall we were happy to go back and will do so again!!!

A fun spot with local flair! The Everything Bagel melt was amazing! Even though there was only one server for dinner time, she handled the ENTIRE place with speed, efficiency, and grace. Each diner was treated as though they were the only ones in the place, and yet no one seemed to wait more than an inordinate amount of time for service. The diner was clean, and very reminiscent of bygone years. We would definitely stop again if we pass this way!

We stopped here for lunch on our drive back from Burlington to New Jersey. It’s a totally random place on the side of the road that looks very unassuming from the outside, but as soon as you step inside, your transported back to the 1960s. The decor and atmosphere is extremely unique, the servers are all very much on their game (shoutout to Maddie, she was so sweet.), the menu is huge, and I have a feeling that no matter what you order it would be delicious. We got the blueberry almond pancakes with Vermont maple syrup and a grilled Mesa sandwich with sweet potato fries, both were humongous portions and absolutely delicious. If you find yourself in the Bennington area, this is a must go for lunch.

I stopped in here one morning while backpacking on the Appalachian Trail two years ago. I ordered the French toast with real maple syrup. It was literally life changing. I still tell my kids how good it was and I’m considering a special trip up from TX to have it again.

I've never been here and all the food was so good! The blueberry pancake was so yummy and the California Benedict was delicious. I cannot wait to come back when I visit my family!

Very nice Italian place. Small menu, well executed . We wanted a few substitutions when we ordered and they accommodated us. The dessert menu is small but wow the flavor was intense and marvelous.

Staff was very nice and friendly. My meal came out in a decent amount of time and didnt have to wait long for anything. My meal its self was delicious. I had their braised beef short ribs. It was like the meat melted in my mouth. Cooked perfectly! The short ribs were paired with delicious creamy mashed potatoes, perfectly grilled pieces of zucchini, butter greens top all with a red wine glaze. I also finished my night with a delicious piece of tiramisu. The whole meal was excellent and would definitely recommend the place.

It’s really too bad this place is closing, me and my girlfriend have been going here for a while and it’s always been amazing. I highly recommend checking it out before they close, everything is so good.

We stayed in Bennington for the weekend and saw Papa Pete’s as we looked for restaurants in the area. Advertised as the”Home of the Giant Pancake” - it totally delivers on that promise! This is no thin crepe pancake, it is a full 14” round, 1” thick delicious behemoth of a pancake. While we were warned that it’s huge, we just didn’t comprehend how much breakfast it was. Think of a small pizza - easily feeds 3-4 people and possibly a young family of 5. We also had other breakfast plates and they were great too - the pancakes( normal sized) being the centerpiece of the meal. The vibe is home kitchen eclectic and the service is snarky and blunt ( in a fun way).

As you may know if you follow my comments, I have a very rare allergy to onions 🧅 garlic 🧄 and many other ingredients belonging to the same family. Here they have been exceptionally helpful and have adapted to my diet. Above this, and beyond the great and tasteful (and generous!) meal, I have to say they are awesome people. You feel like if you knew them all your life. You feel like if you were in family! I have no words to recommend this little paradise, how they make you feel. Cooking and heart go hand by hand here. Please, come and experience their breakfast and love.

We went around 1030 and the place was empty. Service was great and the staff was very friendly. Food was very good. Pancakes were great. I had the Campbell( corned beef hash benidict). Not that it's a deal breaker but potatoes could use a bit of seasoning. I would recommend stopping in for a bite. And I will probably stop in again

THE FRIENDLIEST BREAKFAST PLACE EVER! If I lived nearby, I'd be a regular! The owner, Kathy, and my server, Stacy were wonderful. I've never had so many laughs at breakfast. I felt like one of the family.

This was one of the best breakfasts I've had in my life (and we ordered just about every breakfast item on the menu). When we walked in the door, the owner managed our expectations immediately by telling us how long our food would take to cook. We placed our orders and then waited. The waitresses were kind and helpful while taking our orders. The food was DELICIOUS. Every single food item tasted fresh and homemade - because it is. The bacon, the eggs, the potatoes (both french fries and home fries), the pancakes, the French toast, the hash, the cider, the iced tea. All perfection. 100/10 would recommend this place to anyone in the area!

What a gem of a breakfast diner in the mountains of southern VT. Service was warm and friendly, food was excellent! The crispy potatoes were wicked good and pizza size pancakes will leave you feeling full. Local syrup comes with the pancakes and if you’re up for a challenge you can try to take down 3 of the giants. The apple and cheese omelette was delicious and such a unique use of local flavors. Hope to be back soon for some great food and hospitality!

We live in Bennington but our family is from out of state. We brought them to Papa Pete's last week, ansld they were blown away. The whole group loves a good breakfast diner and Papa Pete's did not disappoint. From the gigantic pancakes to the vermont cheddar and apples omelet, everyone was left satisfied and beyond content with all the goodies we consumed. The vibes were great, our waitress was amazing and took great care of our large group.

Im my opinion the pizza was pretty bad for no reason. It was dry, with little flavor and sauce. The cashier was a bit unfriendly and would rather talk to her co workers than keep a brief eye on the only pizza order in the restaurant. Disappointing..

What happened to this place? Food used to be so good. Last two times I've ordered take out the pasta is very over cooked and instead of fresh pasta with hot sauce on top. It's all mixed in and very obviously reheated leftovers. And my meatball was rock hard Considering I live on social security I treat myself to one good meal and month and this month ramuntos was just such a miss. Really disappointed.

The live music and atmosphere were great. Seems like a lot of regulars and good vibes. The pizza was really delicious and the chicken parm definitely above average. HOWEVER, when we asked after What seems like a very long time , How much longer it might be? The response was that half an hour is not a long wait…. It is at a pizza place, lol

I used to love the pizza here . Maybe they're having staffing issues. But lady time the slices were doughy, counter service ok. Time before that I waited close to 10 min while the counter service clerk talked on the phone, presumably regarding business..... but she didn't even greet me or help me while she was on hold. Worse , T he bartender chatted idley with patrons from the patron side of the bar. Then finally got some slices and the counter service person burned them to a crisp..... Meh.... there a lot of pizza places in the area.. I hope this is a passing staffing issue.

We stopped here on the way back to Jersey from skiing in Sugarbush this past winter. HUGE portions of really great pizza and other food, my friend ordered a calzone that was the size of a manhole cover. The chef had a big grin on his face when my friend dug into it. The Sicilian pizza was some of the best I've ever had. Service was great and the people were really friendly. Wish it wasn't so far away from us. Next time we're in the area we're definitely going to stop in again.

Really disappointed with ramunto’s tonight. Placed a delivery order at 5:50 and didn’t get the pizza till 7:45 when it was only supposed to take 45 minutes and having to heat it up in my oven because it is so cold.

Sunny Side Diner is a classic American diner with a warm, welcoming vibe. I had breakfast there and ordered a 3-egg omelet with American cheese and broccoli, which came with a choice of bread and potatoes. I opted for sourdough bread and home fries, along with a cup of filter coffee. The portions were generous, and everything tasted great. The service was efficient, if unremarkable. It’s clear this place is a local favorite—it was packed, with not a single table available. Another perk is the ample parking, which adds to the diner’s convenience.

This is a comfortable breakfast place. I am gluten and dairy free, and was able to order a nice breakfast. There is no dairy or gluten free option for coffee creamer or toast. Usually I bring my own plant butter and dairy free creamer, but today I forgot. Well, I was having a nice breakfast with my two brothers who I have not seen in a few years. We waited our turn to be seated. Less than 10 minutes after we paid our bill, the waitress asked us to leave!!!! I am not kidding. We were not even there for 45 minutes. She said they had other guests waiting to be seated. They had opened tables. We paid over $60 for breakfast. This is unacceptable! Bill and tip already was paid. Otherwise the tip would have been much less.

Was recommended the raspberry pancakes and they definitely didn’t disappoint, they tasted amazing and the portion was HUGE!! They seem to be really busy so maybe call in advance but I enjoyed my experience and everyone was super friendly as well so doesn’t get better than that! Thank you!!:D

What an absolutely charming place. The food was delicious and the staff were wonderful. The environment was so friendly. A couple came in with their 2 well behaved dogs and it added to the cozy atmosphere.

Wow! We've been coming to Bennington for several years now and finally stopped in. What a wonderful breakfast spot. Friendly staff and great food. We'll have to come back more often now. FYI, limited seating but service is fast and tables seem to open up steadily.

An enjoyable stop for a breakfast , served hot with decent service. My eggs, bacon and home fries came with excellent toast, believe it or not. We enjoyed the cinnamon roll and they are exquisite... Very large and absolutely delicious. Service was good, prices are quite reasonable, and there is a restroom on the premises. They take Visa and MasterCard.

Locals swear by this place. We stopped in after a long hike up Harmon Hill. The place is so cute and the wait staff were very nice. The menu is wonderful. Sandwiches are packed to the gills with protein and good "stuff". They even serve beer. A point for the sweet owner who came to say hello and check on us. The bread was ok.

I ordered the Italiano and what a disappointment. It was basically a boiled ham sandwich. There was so little salami that I thought they forgot it and had to peel the sandwich open to check. The bun was nothing special, just tasted like a bagged roll from the bread aisle at walmart. The pickle had no crunch, is was soft and mushy. It took us 38 minutes from the time we arrived to get a sandwich, A SANDWICH!! and talk about expensive! My father got the same thing and felt the same way about the quality. The total for to 8 inch ham sandwiches and 2 cokes was $42 before a tip. Insane! ill never return.

After several times having lunch here we still find it one of the best lunch places in the area. Charming atmosphere and nice variety of lunch offerings on the menu. My husband and I each ordered the "Quesadeli" with chicken option. We both agreed it was delicious and topped off our lunch with a peanut butter cookie and chocolate chip cookie. This was definitely a deli for my Belly. Service was terrific, even as they became busier. Victoria, our server was both very helpful and friendly. We'll definitely be back.

It’s hard for me to remember a time in Bennington without Your Belly’s Deli. The secret is not hard to find! Warm soup du jour, crisp salads, hearty sandwiches and wraps. If you still have room try the cheese cake, pie, or the cookies and brownies as large as my hand! No cheese tomato soup is really complete without a cheddar cheese grilled cheese. Call me cliché, I can live with that. (I added creamy avocados to mine) my daughter chose a broccoli and cheese quiche and my mom had an enormous Buda Belly sandwich. The Buda Belly is one of several vegetarian options. With a wide variety of delicious possibilities you really can’t go wrong. (Both carnivorous and vegetarian.) Go early on Cheesy tomato soup day!

Awesome lunch place downtown Bennington.

Finding quality savory food in Vermont was challenging, but Fugi did not disappoint. The chicken udon and hibachi steak were supper flavorful and cooked very well. The portion sizes are huge and dishes are afforable. I was impressed to find all the sides, the rice stir fry and broccoli, paired with the steak tasted soo good. The friendly service definitely added to the experience. I would definitely recommend this pace for the food. Points were removed for the overall mood and vibe of the restaurant. It seemed a bit dark and heavy. The food is great, but I wouldn't recommend if you are looking for a complete environmental experience as well.

We are visiting Bennington and just discovered this little gem. The food is absolutely fantastic, and beautifully presented. The chef is an artist. The decor is just average, but is outshined by the food.

Went on a Saturday afternoon it was quiet. We were seated immediately and received fast, quick service and great food! Definitely will be back.

Fast and friendly service! We loved the pork dumplings and love boat sushi. Really low prices! Great place, we're from out of town but I would recommend if you're in the green mountains and craving sushi!

Pulling up to this place from the outside, I was a little hesitant because it looks a bit run down and very small. However, the inside is cute, clean, and even a little fancy! Yes, it is cozy, and it filled up fast. Very popular place. The staff were friendly. The service was quick, and the food was excellent. We went for sushi and it was lovely and delicious. The menu is varied with Japanese, Chinese, and Thai inspired options, as well. I loved the green salad - the dressing is very tasty! We don't visit the Bennington area often, but we will return to Fuji if we do!

Ordered chicken and broccoli, the menu should say broccoli with a little chicken. Taste was good and the young man behind the counter is very nice and does a great job with the people that come in. Please fix the ratios between meat and vegetables.

No dine in. Just take out. You can walk in order at the counter or call ahead.Call ahead and pick up. Plenty of room in the front to park. They have lunch specials, chef specials, poo poo platters, lo mein, chow mein, large menu to pick from.Good food, fair prices, fast service friendly people. enjoy.

No dine in takeout only. We ordered and waited outside for a few minutes and the food was ready. Food was good only one issue, the fried rice for the one meal was not provided, only gave white rice.

Sesame chicken and beef teriyaki were fantastic. As was the rice. Service was good and the prices were fair. Only thing I don't like is the generic duck sauce in packets. Nobody likes that stuff. Take the time to make your own, I know alot of people that look forward to the duck sauce from a Chinese restaurant. If it's something you squeeze out of a packet like ketchup, you're doing it wrong.

Family-owned, local business since the 80's. 💖 Great price, portions, and food hits for the niche. Definitely best Chinese food in the area. Dine-in is currently closed.

Yes, I'm posting a photo of empty plates. Anyone can post a photo of their delicious food. Although the food at Lucky Dragon doesn't look any different than your typical Chinese cuisine, it's still very good. Good for the price, too. They always seem to be busy whenever we go. Sometimes the service can be a bit slow, but it's not so slow that we lose patience. So... empty plates, full tummies, satisfied customers.

Went in and dining room was closed newly so no longer really a restaurant. And so expensive for not very much food! Disappointed for sure. $18 and it’s 90% carrots and celery. There was 1 piece of pepper, 3 pieces of baby corn and 2 mushrooms in the entire thing.

Bowl didn’t have much of any flavor. The rice was long grain (odd choice) and soupy. Tacos were also soupy but not too bad. Unfortunately, not for me.

Ordered here for the first time. Had a craving for a burrito so decided to try to Avocado Pit on my way home from work. Ordered online and opted for curbside pickup so I could continue sitting in my warm car. I parked out front and waited and waited....Mt burrito never appeared so I went inside and found the restaurant empty but 3 employees sitting around laughing and carrying on. I found my cold burrito on a shelf and asked the staff why it wasn't brought out to my car. They all just stared at each other looking confused. Nobody apologized and they just said they didn't know it was curbside even though it says clearly on the bag that it's supposed to be curbside. I took my burrito back across the treacherous icy path out front and drive home. My $26 burrito after tip and fees was lack luster at best. It had no flavor and did t even taste like it had any queso. I also paid for a few extras that were very skimpy. I wouldn't recommend this place and won't ever be going back.

We stopped for lunch, I forgot my camera so no photos of the delicious regular sized burritos we ate. You build your own burritos, choice of protein, cheese, beans and sauces. They offer a mini burrito 🌯 too and build your own tacos and salads too. We had chicken, the meat was tender and the regular sized burritos was just right for a lunch stop. We ordered a bag of corn chips and mild salsa too, you have a choice on chips too, they offer them made of flour too, with mild medium or hot salsa on side. We got 2 cans of soda too and all for just about $27 until they gave us the special discount they are offering each Saturday in August, 1/2 off order! For just about $17 we ate well and will stop here again even without the special offer. We recommend and next time I’ll bring my phone for pics. It was counter ordering and seat yourself & bust your own table but that’s fine. I’d be curious to try another protein at our next visit. It was a warm summer day, the fans were in and it was comfortable inside not sure if they had AC and they offered picnic tables right outside their door.

If you’re familiar with Chipotle or Moe’s at all, Avocado Pit is very similar in that they serve burritos or burrito bowls and other items that you build with employee assistance and questions. This location is inside an old historic building so I thought the atmosphere was pretty great and the food was delicious, albeit a bit pricey. Definitely a good lunch option if you’re in downtown Bennington.

Decent food, I’d probably visit again. Chips, sodas and burrito bowls for 2 was $32. I thought the chips tasted great. Not sure how they’re seasoned.

Great atmosphere, awesome service, and amazing food. I usually only eat half of my fully loaded chicken burrito 🌯 and save the rest for later. The queso and chips (corn or flour) are a must.

I was in town visiting some friends and also visiting northeastern Baptist college there as well. I heard great things about the avocado pit as it was the best Mexican food in town...at least that's what I was told. I have to agree with a tasty 'yes'! Grabbed a Pit Bowl with pork, rice beans, chipotle ranch and szoug sauce. The flavors were a great blend and super filling hearty portions.

Stopped in for ice cream and we were rewarded with an amazing corn ice cream! Yes, it was so good, and we've had good corn ice cream before (New York's Chinatown Ice Cream Factory in the 80's and Lares Heladeria in PR) and this is one of the best. Had the blood orange Gelato too and also loved that. Ill also add the owners were so nice explaining how they made the ice cream and thanking us for liking their ice cream (ha, ha, the pleasure is literally all mine). Nephew loves their chocolates and their butter toasted peanuts (I liked those too). Definitely a great sweet tooth stop.

It was ok, noting out of this world. It looked a little dated to me but the smell of chocolate was amazing and the chocolate truffles were delicious.

Have you ever seen two life-sized mooses built out of chocolate well if you visit the village chocolate shop you will be able to see not one life-size moose built out of chocolate but two of them: And what's even more exciting they are an officially married couple with a marriage license from the state of Vermont to go along with it! But it's not just chocolate mouses to get you all excited to come into the door they sell the world's most amazing and delicious gelato Yes that's right gelato ice cream from the gods that was bequeathed to the Italians by Zeus\Apollo himself! I had the pumpkin flavored and it was spun into The most delicious milkshake I have ever drank in my entire life Most of my photos are going to be of all of the chocolate confections that are handmade and mouth watering It is almost an overwhelming experience all the different varieties and choices to choose from but as the saying goes you'll be like a kid in a candy shop

It was sweet. We loved it and it was a good visit ! The prices were great and the chocolate was amazing! Idk if the staff was distracted but it was like 3 people and they were so inward focused. My son and I went on a random Thursday and they were far from busy. Regardless DEFINITELY worth it ♥️

The Village Chocolate Shoppe draws many people into town with their large variety of amazing handmade treats. Fudge is available in many flavors as well as the traditional chocolate candies one would expect. They also have many decadent chocolate creations that you can't find anywhere else, the peanut butter Oreos covered in chocolate is one of my favorites. There are many seasonal items at great prices for all of your holiday gifting and they also have Vermont themed items. It's a warm and inviting environment as you watch the owners and friendly workers making their products. They also have gelato and ice cream available, so make sure to stop in anytime of the year to satisfy your sweet tooth. I will never forget cheering the crew on when they set the world record for making the largest Peanut Butter Cup a few years back!

So much chocolate! It was very yummy though and beautiful on the inside of the building. Owner or lady who worked there was very nice. And you can get individual chocolates too for only 65(ish) cents! And it's well worth it! Loved this cute little shoppe

The worst Fish and Chips I ever tasted they were under cooked. Sent it back the second order was also under cooked. I had no lunch but a couple French fries, and some coleslaw. The server took my meal off the Bill. She said they took Fish and Chips off the menu after my compliant. The server said there were other complaints before mine. I was not offered a third lunch option. Atmosphere was excellent. All nonfish lunches were excellent.

Absolutely loved this restaurant! The food was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and served in generous portions. The atmosphere was calm and quiet, perfect for a relaxing meal. Surrounded by beautiful nature and scenic golf courses, the location made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Girlfriend got the bacon wrapped pork chops, it was inedible and left untouched. Felt too bad to complain but the pork was cold in the middle. Disgusting. My skirt steak tasted like charcoal and was a terrible cut. No seasoning on it at all. The “seasonal vegetables” are squash and zucchini. The worst options available, might as well call it that. Horrible meal and experience for 120$.

Great place for an enjoyable evening in Bennington. Very nice view of the golf course. Patio is excellent. Great bar. Friendly staff. Prices are $$ to $$$. Food tasty, look for their nightly specials.

Definitely a small town county club vibe, but the servers were kind and the food was delicious, so we would definitely return.

I had a chicken sandwich on a brioche roll with guacamole, bacon, lettuce and tomato along with fries and everything was cooked well and delicious. My friend had cheese quesadillas and they were delicious as well. Our server Frankie and the hostess were friendly and professional.

Ordered a large fish and chips, with beets and mayo. Fast delivery, home made style crunchy fries and a delicious and light fluffy fish. Kudos, long time I had not eaten such a good F&C. Large portion was very generous. Service was good and fast, with care and smile, and the ambiance is really royal and fun. Nice place.

I've had alot of fish and chips over the years. Lil' Britain was hands down the best! Fish was fresh, batter was light and crispy and not too salty. Sides were simple and delicious. You can tell they take pride in their product. Truly a hidden gem! We'll be back!

Traveling through the area and stopped for lunch. This quaint little restaurant was perfect! Fish and chips, with the sides, was wonderful. Fast service and great tasting food! Would eat here again if we are back in this area.

This place is owned by an English couple so the fish and chips are the real deal- ABSOLUTELY some of the best I ever had!!! I love peas and I wasn’t sure about the mushy peas as a side but they were surprisingly DELICIOUS! The food, customer service and price were worth the stop. We were able to dine in and the decor definitely fits their theme.

A small unassuming place with a very nice staff. We loved all the food we got. Eating in was better than their take-out (which was the only way we'd had this before... during COVID they were carry out only). Fresh and crisp. Great Fish and Chips.

Great spot for baked goods especially donuts. Try the apple cider whoopie pie donut with maple buttercream filling 🤤 Full espresso bar to compliment your favorite yummies. Lots of other local products to choose from, including the obvious maple 🍁 syrups, candles and sauces. Grab your items and go sit out in the meadow at one of the provided picnic tables. Worth a stop always. Clean restrooms to boot.

I was so eager to indulge in a warm, soft apple cinnamon donut, hoping it would be the perfect treat. Sadly, it was not and it could not find any hot apple cider to enjoy alongside it, which I had really looked forward to. Despite this, I highly recommend visiting this charming spot! They offer a delightful variety of foods, along with unique gifts and keepsakes to explore.

What a gem! The cider donuts were so yummy and had a nice cakiness to them. I picked up some honey, you can see right out the window where the hives are. They had the most beautiful field of sunflowers I've ever seen so you know we took the cutest photos.

What a gem! I have been in the hunt for some peach pie (it’s peach season after all) and I have come up empty handed. My husband took me to this bake shop and once again realized that I am on the hunt for a unicorn! I told someone at the store about my hunt and she said that they are out BUT they can make one for me. 1.5 hours later, this bake shop made my summer vacation complete. The pie was absolutely delicious as were some of the other items that we purchased (apple cider donuts and lemonade slushies for the kids as well as a hat for my husband). Super friendly and helpful staff. I plan on going back to bring some pies home with me. 😬 Thank you for making me a super happy girl!!

Fun place to visit. Bakery, beverages available, large cheeses wheels. So many gift items to bring home from Vermont or simply enjoy if you live here. The bakery has some really delicious offerings. New items seasonally. Tried a strawberry roll, so good!

Just got home from picking up this pizza - they clearly burnt the crust and instead of making a new one, they peeled off some of the burnt part and sold it anyway. Selling a burnt pizza you clearly knew was burnt … that’s a pretty lousy business practice.

This place is awesome . Crispy chicken salad was great the chicken stayed hot and crispy the whole time. We ordered a pepperoni pepper and onion pizza and the crust is crispy and has a ton of flavor. Would definitely recommend. 😍

We ordered for delivery on a Friday night, and food arrived within 45 mins (which is excellent!). The taste of the pizza was good, but the sauce seemed to lack a little flavor. The wings were the best part. They are baked and had a great taste to them. Overall excellent experience and good food.

A nice casual pizza and Italian restaurant. It was closed inside due to Covid but they have a good sized porch/deck. We ordered pizza and salads - both were good. Pizza crust was thick, chewy and yummy! There was no restroom since inside was closed so we had to walk a block to the convenience store. A good easy dinner - lots of people picking up carry out.

First timer I loved the atmosphere not sold on wait staff ...placed a order told it would be done in 30mins....showed up 5 mins early so I could pay know one asked me if I needed to place or pick up a order for 10mins...so by then my order should have been done but no it was a whole 20mins later...loved calzone pizza was pretty good too...I'll try it at least once more ...

I personally really like Benners. Not a NY style pie or Chicago. Their pizza successfully passes the slide test and is quite flavorful. Mondays offer a large for medium price. Small venue but quite nice. 11/2023 - still the best pizza in Bennington IMHO. It is not unusual to have to wait an hour or more during peak busy time. That is for good reason - the pizza is worth the wait.

Excellent quality food. Bright and sunny seating inside on picnic-style tables. Extensive menu with something for everyone. We had a sausage egg breakfast sandwich on an onion bagel, a slice of cheese pizza, a Greek salad, and a garden salad. All great!

Benner's, is the place to go when you just want a little something when on main street in Bennington. Very responsible, respectful and safe -- typifying the Vermont way of coping with a pandemic. Call ahead, take out only, socially distant, accepting of both credit cards and your special needs. On the North side of main street but set back a bit, they can be hard to see when driving --so slow down. Calzones are a specialty.

I enjoyed a very delicious sandwich on a GF/vegan bun. I have celiac and the server was knowledgeable and accommodating. Beautiful outdoor space made for a great rest on our journey. Highly recommended.

My favorite sandwich shop by far! The ingredients are always incredibly fresh, and you can taste the quality in every bite. Consistently delicious, quick service, and the kind of place you just keep coming back to. Anytime I have friends, family or coworkers visit from out of town I bring them here for lunch! My favorite place to eat in Bennington, Vermont! I went here every day for lunch and never got tired of the food for two weeks! The New England clam chowder and tuna melt were my favorite! The owner and his team were so nice and welcoming everyday. If you are hungry and near by you must stop in! Always check for the yummy specials posted outside on the chalk board!

Owner was very courteous, great little shop. Had the sandwich on special. Got "The Wrestler" for my wife and she was rather disappointed by it. Raw mushrooms in a cold wrap? Feels like this option was an afterthought.

We ordered over a 100 sandwiches for our car club. Ted and his team did a great job. The sandwich box lunches were delicious—everyone raved about them.

Terrific modern bistro in the heart of historic Bennington. Ask about the daily specials, that is where I found my terrific Carbonara dish. I can also recommend their Classic Canoli (have some ice cream on the side, as I did). Excellent service, great food, plus live music. Had a wonderful experience!

Dinner tonight was exactly what I needed. They have a wide range and tonight I needed something light but also flavorful. I had the Caesar salad with grilled shrimp and it was excellent. The staff were friendly. Atmosphere was clean. In the past it has occasionally gotten too loud but tonight volume was perfect. Thank you for making the end of my day great!

I've had good experiences every time I go. Love the mixed drink specials on Thursdays. They have live music often which is great. I only gave a 4 for atmosphere because when the latlrge front glass door is closed and there are a lot of people there, the noise is a bit much.

Fantastic food, friendly service, dog friendly outdoor seating. They don’t accept reservations but we (a party of four) and my dog walked right in for an outdoor table on a Saturday evening a little before 6p. We were there for dinner vs drinks/beer as none of us are big drinkers. We started with two serving of the grilled beef kofta kebabs drizzled with a spicy sauce. They were seasoned well, a bit more rare would have been our preference, nevertheless tasty. Two of us had the beef stroganoff over papparadelle and two, the grilled bourbon salmon over a farro, green apple, arugula salad. Both were outstanding!! We’re sure the drinks are good but here’s four thumbs up for the food. Highly recommend and we’ll be back on our next visit!

Great new addition to the Bennington restaurant and bar scene. We went for drinks and found a diverse menu of cocktails, huge draft beer list, and great wines to choose from. Other spirits are available if you desire a custom libation. The atmosphere is relaxed and has a fun vibe. Other folks were enjoying their meals and we felt that it was a great experience on opening night!

The concept here is excellent, craft cocktails and light finger food with a highly social aspect. Individual rooms available for a party for an intimate and private setting allowing a focus on the people you're with rather than a loud open space having to contend with others. The cocktails are expertly crafted, had one of the best old fashions I have ever had, and food is excellent as well, all perfect for sharing. If you are looking for a place to socialize with friends, I would highly recommend The Miller's Toll.

We showed up without reservation but was accommodated during the early evening opening. Sat outside under the patio heater and enjoyed the sounds of the flowing river. Good cocktails and sliders, salads. But the creme brulee and sweet potato fries are truly yummy.

after a long week, i wanted to eat out alone and relax - this spot was perfect for that! they accommodated me without a reservation, and has excellent service. the food was also WONDERFUL, as was the lavender mint mocktail and affagato. bennington is a bit of a drive for me, but i'll definitely be making it again for this place.

Great to see a local option grow into a bigger space. Fun environment for meeting friends for drinks. Locally inspired cocktails and mocktails paired with small plates and desserts. Check their website and Facebook page for live music offerings and specials. Reservations are recommended.

Lovely ambiance, incredible libations, and the most unique and delicious grilled cheese sandwich I've ever had. My new favorite place to take myself out on a date. Ok, Revisiting... Had the Safford Old Fashioned and a small Poached Pear salad with Bacon, which happened to pair incredibly well! Service and ambiance was stellar! Both the drink and salad were exactly what my body was begging for tonight. I should come here more often.

Worth the expense! Make reservations and be prepared to spend money. It's worth it. The 4 of us sat in one room with 2 couches. Three of us had 3 cocktails each, and the 4th had a few beers. We ate this charcuterie plate, fries, sliders, and tenders. Everything is delicious and wonderfully prepared. The staff is friendly and attentive. Natalie, our server, seemed to appear right when we needed her. I wish I was a better mixologist myself after drinking these cocktails the way they should be made. Ha. It'll be great to visit again. Highly recommended!

Coffee was excellent. Chocolate croissant not so much. It was $5.50 just for the croissant and it was a day or two old. You pull that kinda stuff and you won't have many customers left. It's easy to tell day old 'anything' from freshly baked. Id like to think that they're service was cold, but I've noticed this in New England as a whole. Hospitality and friendly service is lacking up here, in general. This cafe was no different. No greeting when you walk in, as if your troubling them in their establishment. Anyways... The cafe was nice and big. Seemed like a cool venue for live music.

Stopped by here on my drive home. The cafe latte was decent enough and the blueberry muffin quite good, but service was decidedly unfriendly, bordering on rude. I recognize it’s not the best job, perhaps especially on a Saturday morning. The payment screen offers customers a choice of 15%, 20% or 25% tips. I tipped as I always do out of respect for people in these service positions but the Coffee Bar staff definitely didn’t deserve it. If you visit, consider leaving a cash tip AFTER you receive your order. Otherwise you may regret that you tipped. I’ll spare the details of my experience. Suffice it to say I’m taking the time to write this in the hope that it may benefit future customers and to be completely candid, also to vent my displeasure. I also write in the (more distant) hope that reviews such as this one may nudge the Coffee Bar staff towards learning, appreciating and implementing the basics of acceptable customer service and recognizing that tips are not an entitlement but a reward for good service or at a minimum service that doesn’t prompt a customer to write a review such as this one. If you’re reading this, please check out other reviews, both positive and negative. Perhaps you’ll have a better experience if you visit or simply an uneventful one from a customer service perspective. I’ll be curious to see future posts just to see if there are signs of any positive changes at this establishment.

The staff was knowledgeable about dietary restrictions, and made sure I knew the pumpkin chai had dairy in it because I asked for oat milk (it was very good). Fun decor, not crowded, and there was a customer there with a cute pup so bonus points for allowing dogs.

Love the seasonal specials of coffee, boba, their support of local products, and the variety to pick from. I tried a seasonal raspberry white mocha and it did not disappoint. They have lots of cozy seating in either low rocking chairs, couches, or big tables for large groups. Unless you’re a fan of window sitting, like me. They have that too. Love the atmosphere and the coffee smell that fills the room. They’re also one door away from a lovely Bennington bookshop!

The most unfriendly barista I have ever encountered. Wouldn't look at us or serve us until we directly addressed her. The coffee cake was decent but awkward to eat because when I asked for a plate, I was haughtily informed that "We don't do plates." Interestingly, when locals came in, she was all smiles and helpful to them. Message was clear; tourists not welcome here.

My favorite coffee shop in Bennington. During my annual fall color trip, I make a point to stop in. The offer a large selection of caffeinated beverages both hot and cold. They also offer a nice selection of baked goods. The atmosphere inside is spacious and inviting.

Absolutely loved this shop and the owners. Great gift ideas (teas, Jewlery, home wares etc.) and love supporting local / women owned. Also have small selection of natural / organic wines by the bottle which I loved! Please note their new address as Google hasn’t changed it yet: 198 North St Bennington VT.

My death row meal will include a W Collective Maple Latte and pretty much any of the handmade from scratch pastries. The PB&J sourdough poptarts are my favorite. This place has the best gifts and items, all thoughtfully curated for the shop. Quality handmade jewelry, self care products, wine, acrylic hair clips. So much fun coming in and chatting with Bri. Amazing local spot.

This is one of the most marvelous stores I know of and it makes you feel great just to be in there. Everything is beautifully arranged and artfully curated: vintage glasses, local artisan jewelry, textiles, gifts for you and anyone who appreciates wonderful things. There is also a cafe with pastries, a comfortable lounge area, wine, books to read, there really is no reason why you will want to leave. Bennington does not deserve such a place but we are grateful that W Collective is here!

We were taking a walk around Bennington on a beautiful day when we stopped and found some gifts for my mother‘s birthday. It’s a thoughtfully curated shop, with great coffee too! I also found these hand blown glasses for myself…each one is unique, so obviously drinks taste better out of them. Definitely worth stopping by

What an adorable shop! The gift shop portion is such a great collection of art (and wine) in a beautiful space, and the owner is absolutely lovely. She was exceptionally kind to direct me to a different store that had what I was looking for. Definitely check this place out, supporting local business and artisans.

Absolutely charming hidden gem! The pastries are locally made and DELICIOUS! The cafe has a gift shop that almost seems like an art museum. It’s absolutely stunning. The owner is so friendly. Stop by and try a pastry and a latte. You won’t be disappointed!

I usually go for the croissant/danish style pastries, both savory and sweet, and they are truly excellent: tender, VERY flaky, and interesting flavors Other items are nice, too, but a good flakey pastry is not easy to find, so I keep going back for those. Coffee is excellent as well.

The staff is incredible. We stayed in a semi-detached cottage on way to Maine. 2 big dogs with us. I loved every minute. This is not the Ritz. This is like stepping back in time to little places. I've stayed traveling since childhood. Safe area. I purposely want to book this on the way home . Thank you !

If you're young, fit, have no allergies, and want to stay in an authentic 50's era motel with few upgrades, I'm sure it's fine. But we had to buy an air filter to survive the room, and the hot water tap burned my hand. Rooms were musty--really musty and smelled of mildew. I have asthma, and the room triggered it. After the first night, I asked the staff where I could buy an air filter--she was new to the area and had no idea about the town. (It's a little disconcerting when the desk person pleads with you to tell her what to do.) So we bought a $160 air filter to enable me to stay in the room. Unfortunately, the damage was done--my reaction to the mildew smell triggered my arthritis, so my ankles hurt so badly I couldn't do the hiking I'd planned, and my hands hurt so badly, I couldn't play guitar as I'd planned. So there went a lot of my vacation. The blankets on the bed were terribly thin--had we not brought our own, we would have frozen. And the hot water coming out of the tap was so hot, I got a first-degree burn on my hand. The bathroom was so small, my husband and I both wrenched our backs using the toilet. The bathroom has no vanity. If you have medications, or medical stuff you need to lay out as we do, you can't use the bathroom. Aesthetically, the pool is a tiny gray pit in the parking lot. Grimy-looking. The person on the phone when we booked said they could do some gluten-free options for the breakfast. They didn't. When we arrived, the concierge had no knowledge of our request, and didn't take it seriously. So yeah, we paid $800-$1000 for 3 days, and the room made me too sick to have the vacation I wanted. Plus a burned hand. The only good thing I can say is it's near the college and most of what you want to see in Bennington. But Bennington is so small, everything is near everything else.

We stayed at Knotty Pine Motel on our way to Maine and again on our way home. Wonderful place to stay! Clean rooms, comfortable beds, clean pool. Super friendly staff, and a great continental breakfast. Good rates.

What a gem! We stayed for one night at the Knotty Pine this July, and had a great experience. The pool was well maintained and easy to access, the room was clean and had everything we needed, and the price was right! This is a family-run motel and the owners couldn't be nicer.

I was hoping to be able to write a glowing review about a lovely old-fashioned inn located near the quaint town of Bennington and spending a relaxing evening soaking in what lower Vermont has to offer. Instead, I have to report that stayed at an overpriced motel with a small room, a partial 1980's remodel of a tiny bathtub, musty carpets, and no breakfast. It is a shame that with its location, this inn offers only an old roadside motel experience rather than a rustic bed and breakfast experience.

Charming, Clean, Well-Maintained Skip the corporate places. This inn is well-cared for and has beautiful partial mountain views. Easy check-in and check-out. Easy walk into town. Room was cozy, quiet, and clean with comfortable beds. Basic amenities: WiFi, fridge, TV, microwave, A/C, basic toiletries, bathroom heat lamp, hair dryer ... Zero complaints. Would stay again.

I called and made a booking, gave all my information, was told I successfully made a booking, and was told i'd receive a confirmation text. I did not receive the confirmation text after making the booking, so I called back the same day. They said the booking was made, they hadn't sent the text yet, and i'd receive it later. I called back several days later and was told they have no record of my booking. The hotel is also now full. I have no idea what happened here, but it seriously messed up my planned trip to the region. It seems this Inn has difficulties managing its bookings.

No sound proofing - someone blaring tv all day and night , finally fell asleep and now smell of pot smoke so strong it woke me up in the middle of the night. Not worth $120 a night

The rooms are quite nice, refrigerator and microwave shower no bath, very friendly staff and the location is right near dowtown, with breweries, restaurants and shops.

I recently visited The Local Cafe twice for a late breakfast and had a consistent experience both times. I ordered the Breakfast Veggie Sandwich on sourdough, which included egg, tomato, broccoli, and spinach. The sandwich was well-prepared, with fresh ingredients that came together nicely on the sourdough bread. To accompany my meal, I had a cup of coffee, which was decent, and a cheese cupcake, which was a delightful treat—creamy and not overly sweet. The service was adequate; the staff was polite and efficient, though nothing stood out in terms of exceptional hospitality. The cafe was clean and well-maintained, which made for a pleasant dining environment. One of the standout features is the convenience of free street parking, which made getting in and out hassle-free—a definite plus for anyone driving in. Overall, The Local offers a solid breakfast experience with fresh ingredients and a clean environment, making it worth a visit if you're in the area.

Super cute little place! Just got a coffee today but plan to go back tomorrow for a bagel and coffee and maybe something else!! I grew up in Bennington and remember the space as an office supply shop in the 70’s. My best friends Dad owned it 😊. I wish you much success!

Food and the prices were okay but that’s where it stops. Rude server took our order and then held simple sandwiches behind other customers for 20 minutes because they judged our politics based off of a hat with a normal flag on it. The food wasn’t tasty other than the bacon. Be warned they add ingredients to the sandwich that aren’t on the list. The owner/manager seemed super nice so just a little sad that the people who serve there let their politics get in the way of doing their job properly.

If I could give zero I would! You wait for your bagel from employees who think it’s their own private party. Your bagel gets cold and they are rude. Sometimes I have a great experience but more and more it has become horrible.

Just stopped at the traffic light in front of THE LOCAL, I waved "hello" to the lady inside the shop. She ran out the door and handed me an incredible brisket biscuit, through the window of my truck!

A great place to enjoy a brew and delicious meal. Sean and his team have adapted to the current Covid times to offer a diverse menu for home delivery each Friday. Can't wait until we can enjoy the good vibes, music, beer and food in person. Tasty NEIPAs but don't overlook the robust stouts. You're sure to find a beer that you'll love to bring home in a growler or 4 pack.

Free wifi, vinyl playing in the background, friendly folks, as well as microcrafted beer on tap. Feels like the northern most suburb of New Orleans.

I don’t often write reviews but this place deserves it. The owner of the course took very good care of my friends and I on a guys trip up from mass, genuinely good people all around there. Sweet course on top with some scenic views of the mountains, especially at sunset. Great track

Delicious French onion soup, tasty tuna melt, and very yummy molten chocolate lava cake for dessert. Service was wonderful, the server was pleasant, efficient and personable. Only big negative was the golfers who came inside from their game and screamed at one another instead of carrying on a conversation at a reasonable decibel. It caused us to cut our lunch short and leave instead of staying to visit over another round or 2 of drinks.

I love the ambiance, the drinks and the staff. Tonight was a beautiful sunset through the smoke from the Canadian fires, sadly, but the Heirloom Pork Chop with fingerling potatoes and Salmon filet on spring vegetables was perfect as always.

We had a great experience at Mount Anthony Golf Course! The course is a great track — fun layout, well-maintained, and the mountain views are absolutely incredible. The owner, David, was extremely genuine and welcoming, and Ryan, the PGA professional, was also very nice and helpful throughout our visit. Top-notch hospitality all around. Can’t wait to come back!

We had a Celebration of Life dinner for 17 at the Grille. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. I was pleased to have the opportunity to plan an event at the Mt. Anthony Country Club.

Called on a Wednesday afternoon and asked specially when THEY thought a good time for a single to go out was. We settled on 4:30. I tee off behind a two-some. On the 6 hole, 45 minutes later I am approached by the manager of the pro shop and told I’ll be credited for my missed holes but I need to move to hole 10 because of a shotgun start at 5:30. No sir. That’s not right. I chose to leave the course and asked for my money back completely. First and last trip here. The young dude in the pro shop didn’t bat an eye when asking for my refund; which was redeeming, albeit slightly.

Where do I start! The Publyk House is such an amazing establishment with friendly and talented staff. We had our wedding at the end of June 2025. We booked the Tavern Room for our rehearsal dinner and it was perfect! They accommodated us being gluten free and the food was incredible….especially the peach cobbler! We were also able to enjoy the view from the patio during the sunset. And for the big shoutout - when our original catered canceled on us 4 days before our wedding, the Publyk House stepped up and was able to save our wedding day. Kathy, Frank and the rest of the staff were so incredibly helpful and kind to us. They were even able to make the same menu we had originally planned for! We would not have been able to have such a perfect wedding day without them. We will forever be grateful for this team!!

My husband and I and our two small dogs were staying at the hotel next to the restaurant so we decided to get takeout and it was amazing!!! Food was absolutely delicious !!!Service was outstanding and we will definitely be back at the end of summer for a little weekend getaway and will be back to eat here for sure!!!!

We loved Publyk house! The salad bar is awesome, my soup was great, my dad loved his prime rib. My husband got the smoked meats platter and said the meats were pretty dry, maybe because it was the very end of the day. But he did love the baked beans. Our server Breanna was so friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is cozy and rustic, but clean and well maintained. Lovely ladies room with fresh flowers.

My husband and I were driving through VT on our way up to Maine. We came through here in 2023 and enjoyed it so much that we came back again 2 yrs later. We are gen X and this restaurant reminds us so much of restaurants of our youth. We especially love the make-your-own salad bar, enough so that I had that as my main. My husband had the strip steak and it was delicious. I think this place is a gem. I wish I had one where I live.

Overall good experience, appetizers and salad bar very tasty . Baked brie was very well prepared and presented. We enjoyed that in particular. The entrees were slightly disappointing the 5 meat was very dry and BBQ sauce overbearing. The bacon wrapped chicken was good but the sides were over cooked reheated and too soft . We feel that we could have enjoyed our visit more if we ordered differently and spent less then 150$ for 2 people with only 1 alcoholic beverage so we are going to give it another try from a different angle

The property grounds are nice. It's rustic but still clean and not cluttered. My husband had the Stone Kitchen Pasta with Shrimp ($36). I had the meatloaf ($26). As you can see, that's overpriced but all entrees have the salad bar included. The salad bar was great and helped make it worthwhile. If the owner is reading this, continue to have the salad bar and don't skimp on it in the future to save money. I'll make the drive again for it. A loaf of hot bread came out and while I loved the idea of maple butter, the recipe could be tweaked; I thought it was too sweet and not creamy enough. We only drank water, did not get an appetizer, and it was still not cheap. But everything was good so we'll go back. Lastly, we chose to eat inside the dining room but it was nice outside and the patio was full. Fresh flowers in the bathroom and candles on the table are nice touches. I appreciate that they were kid-friendly (I walked by 2 other high chairs) and she brought another one over for us.

I’d been wanting to try this place for a while and so stopped in for dinner recently. Overall, the place was clean, the service was decent, and the food was okay with slight exception on some items. I got the pork chop dish and chose rice pilaf as my side and it came with asparagus. I also chose to try out the salad bar and got a cup of the cheddar broccoli soup. I will say that the soup was great - with plenty of flavor and broccoli that was just firm enough. The salad bar wasn’t anything special, with your usual shaved carrots, cherry tomatoes, etc and seemed sort of out of place, but it was okay for what it was. The rice and pork chops were sort of on the bland side. As you can see from the pics, the chops were a ghoulish white and aside from the fruit glaze they were on the tough side and seemed devoid of seasoning. The asparagus was the one thing that was pretty bad - it looked sad on the plate and aside from there only being like 5 stalks, they didn’t seem seasoned in any way and were tough to chew - I didn’t make it past the first stalk. I think the one thing this place has going for it is it’s in a beautiful area and the interior is very nice. Overall, not a terrible experience or anything by any means but even if I went back I don’t think I’d get that dish again.

Worst place in Vermont . I have traveled the world to find myself in the village of North Bennington VT, only to be in the midst of the worst bar, and easily worst restaurant in all of new England. Dare I say all of the USA. The people that work here are confrontational, can't make a steak can't muster taste on a burger. If my recommendations ever meant don't eat here or you'll get sick rang true now is that time to mention it, the food combined with atmosphere is enough to turn your stomach. It was once a great place, maybe ownership changed hands in the past 10 years or more, I remember when it was a great place. Not anymore.

Don't judge a book by it's cover. The restaurant and bar were nothing to look at. It was a Monday around 4:00 pm. We were the only customers except for 1 or 2 people at the bar. We ordered chili to share and a chef salad with grilled chicken and a bacon cheese burger. Everything was delicious. The chili was exceptional, covered with a thick layer of melted cheese. My burger was cooked to perfection and very flavorful. Could have used a few more onion strings on top, but otherwise, one of the best. Our waiter was the bar tender from the barroom which was in a separate area. He did a great job attending to our needs. So, don't let looks fool you. Highly recommend this establishment for simply great tasting food.

Kevin’s is a great little spot — the burgers are absolutely delicious and pair perfectly with their cider. It’s a nice, relaxed place to stop in for a meal or drink. Just a heads-up: they close at 8, so make sure to come early to enjoy it!

Food was good. If we lived locally we would go back. French onion soup was very good. The roast beef dip was good, the au jus was salty which I love. My husband had a tuna melt which was good.

Popped in for a quick lunch and boy are we happy we did! What a great find! One of the best burgers we have had in a long time! They have Chicago Bears memorabilia in the bar area which was awesome to see and a huge surprise, being from Chicago and Bears fans! Great atmosphere and lots of menu choices. Give Kevin’s a try!

Been here several times and it is always good. They have daily specials and great cocktails.

The surprise I did not expect! The best fried chicken in all of New England and best clams ever!!! Not to mention the bartender actually knows how to balance a drink! If I could give more stars i would. If you pass up this place turn around and go back you won't find better in town. And massive portions!!! We couldn't eat it all.

The food was absolutely amazing, my review would have been 5 stars if it wasn’t for the service. The young lady who greeted and seated us was incredibly sweet and very attentive however our server came to take our order then didn’t check in with us at all after that despite being very attentive to the other guests nearby and checking in with them several times during their visit. We had to seek out staff when we wanted drinks, dessert our check etc. I understood the delay in service at first because the restaurant was incredibly busy, however within 5-10 minutes of being seated the majority of patrons finished their meals and exited, leaving our table and 2 others in the dining room we were sitting in.

We were celebrating my husband's birthday and lucky to choose Pangea for a cozy dinner place. The service, from the concierge, to the bartender, and from our lovely server, Lilly was exceptional. The food was excellently prepared, as were the drinks and the dessert. The menu was ample in selections and the wine selection was also very good. The ambiance was calm, quiet and conducive for a lovely meal. We highly recommend Pangea and we will return again in the not too distant future.

We visited the area three weeks ago for our anniversary. I found this place after doing a little search. So good- delicious food. So nice! The waitstaff works as a team and were genuinely nice. We were also treated to a glass of champagne for our anniversary. Thanks! Definitely recommend eating here!

We were luck to be part of the Bennington Chamber soft reopening. Got to try some of the new menu items and ordered a couple new items off the menu. Blackened fish tacos, miso soup and Cobb salad.

Nick and his kitchen crew do an amazing job. Lani and the front end staff are ready to help. Whether you are looking for a quiet place in the morning to grab a cup of coffee at their Prospect Coffee stop or dinner at Pangaea, you will not be disappointed stopping here. A quiet gem of a spot in gorgeous North Bennington. Stroll around the small town, and check out the library, the Historic Park McCullough House or sit by the fountain in the center of town .

Thank you!….We had a wonderful & delicious dinner meal! The service by Jude was very nice, attentive, and she allowed us to converse without interruption. The meals were all savory and delicious with portions that were appropriate. The baklava was excellent and should be a regular dessert option, if possible. There are restaurants that you ‘ go to ‘, and then those that you ‘ go back to ‘, and this one is the latter. We came during peak foliage on a Sunday morning...It was very busy and the waitresses all seemed overwhelmed..Food was average at best...We both ordered our eggs over medium and they served us over easy runny eggs as you can see!!..Its saving grace was the atmosphere...Very family friendly and nice roomie tables..Comfie and inexpensive, but a little off.

Driving thru Vermont and in need of nourishment, we found Jensen’s in Bennington. This local breakfast place filled with flavor captures the spirit of the town. A must before or after any outdoor adventure.

So this used to be one of my favorite places to go but tonight it was very disappointing. The waitress herself was great but my food , not so great, the picture I included is my 2nd meal. My first one, fried chicken steak was so rubbery I couldn't eat it so the waitress offered me another option so I got the chicken cordon Bleu. I was shocked to have not only gravy smothered all over it but a big slab of swiss cheese... The swiss cheese on top threw the whole thing off bc there is cheese inside. Needless to say it was nasty too.. not so sure what happened but something sure did.

They have great fried chicken!! Service is pleasant, selection is good, and not a very long wait on a busy Sunday.

This is a pretty run-of-the-mill Chili’s. Never really had a bad experience to speak of, and otherwise everything is pretty average. If you’re somehow new to Chili’s, the food is essentially American food with a southwestern twist. I will say if you’re a fan of mozzarella- their fried mozzarella is pretty good. Most dishes will run you $15-$25. The location is a little strange to get into as you have to pull into the Hannaford parking lot and drive through a rough section of unpaved parking lot space.

The food here made my stomach hurt so badly that it knocked the wind out of me. The white-haired male waiter also made it feel like a rushed experience. Drinks are nice and cheap, all day every day $6 margs and $4-5 beers, not sure if it’s location-specific.

Standard Chili’s was quite good but by no means extraordinary, service was excellent especially for a large group

My rice and beans with the fajitas was cold, really cold. The onions and peppers with the fajitas weren't cooked enough. The fajita steak was ok. The atmosphere was Chili's, so whatever. The service was awful and very inattentive. I would not go back or recommend this place.

Food was good but I did find the ribs just a tiny bit undercooked. Please take that into considerstion. Service was good and the food was ready on time.

We went on Friday tea time approx 6pm, so was busy so a slight wait before a table came free. Our server Roxanne was helpful in our choice of dishes, she was very accommodating. The food was hot & fast. This is a useful 'watering hole' if attending Bennnigton Cinema. To much distraction with the amount of T.V's, not suitable for a quiet romantic evening!

We decided to eat here as it was late and close to our hotel. This was our 3rd time here during Battle Days in Bennington. I ordered the 10 oz steak with plain mashed potatoes instead of loaded mashed potatoes and broccoli. I requested no season ing. My steak was tough and not cooked as ordered. Potatoes were cold.I was brought a new order of potatoes, and when I requested butter....they only have garlic butter! Requested to speak with the manager, and another steak was cooked, but this time seasoned with garlic butter and still not a quality steak for the price but I ate it as I was tired and just wanted something to eat. Few places are open in Bennington after 9pm.. I know Chili's is known for their Mexican food, but some items should be added to their menu so a person can eat something other than Mexican food if their partner wants Mexican. And I don't just mean hamburgers!. I asked about chicken... seasoned. The manager did work with us, so that helped. Our server,Clara, was exceptional and is an asset to the company.She did everything to make sure I could have something suited to my dietary restrictions. Will not be coming back.

I went to this establishment on Friday August 1st. Our immediate impression on the location wasn’t too great. They were clearly understaffed which is unfortunate. But the guy behind the counter making the food was taking his frustration out on other customers. A man asked to use a pen & he slammed it in front of him. I ordered 3 buffalo chicken wraps. When we finally went to eat, I noticed a red mark on the wraps paper. I suspected it to be blood, but when I saw the buffalo sauce wasn’t the same color I knew it was blood. I went to put the wrap back in the bag it came in & I noticed more blood on the paper bag. I went back into the establishment when the cook saw me he stormed off to the back. When he came back to the front counter he had a rag wrapped around his finger controlling his bleeding, as blood was dripping from his arm. He stated he didn’t know he cut himself prior to making my food. I have worked food services. He was not wearing gloves which is unsanitary at that. But to say you didn’t know you cut yourself as the blood is coming down your arm is absolutely unacceptable. I got a refund for my order & I will never return to this place again. Please mandate gloves in your establishment.

My wife and I were traveling from NH to Western PA. We didn't want fast food but not a long sit down. This was an oasis! The manager/cook was great and the food(chicken giro and roast beef grinder) was also great! There is a modest dining area to eat! We recommend this stop!

The pizza was so good that I ate far more of it than I should have. It's honestly the best pizza I've had. There was plentiful amounts of chicken and other toppings, and the crust was baked to perfection. Delicious flavor. We are pleasantly full and delightfully satisfied. The whole family gives it five stars.

Went down hill bad. Ain't had in years went back finally and found out it was sold which explains why the pizza is swimming in a liter of Greece with some disrespectful lady complaining that a Karen has a complaint yeah look at this disgusting thing. Only slice missing is in my dogs GUT 🤣. He enjoyed it. We didn't. 33 napkins used and still dripping. Light mushroom yet handfuls of it. This place went down hull extremely. Then call to get a refund but no one's able to do so no managers in. No one manages the place which explains why it's so bad. When u ask for light mushrooms u get EXTRA EXTRA. Make sure to ask to hold the Greece or like the peperoni, your pizza to will be swimming in it. So bad it went threw the cardboard pouring out like a faucet. WISH THE OLD OWNERS STILL MADE THE PIZZA. When you ask for lite mushrooms ask for lite lite because it was still loaded like handfuls of ridiculous amounts of mushrooms. Accidents happen but they did make it up and fix. However the experience is not all bad they are very friendly people and always have a beautiful welcoming feel. Just greece and way way to much. So much that it legit dripped threw the bottom of the cardboard. Take a moment and dab it up before serving.

When we followed the price half price as 6,99 with two different toppings with medium pizza Total is tax plus fake delivery total is 22.00 dollars okay .. I paid as accepted it .. but inside open awesome! Plenty of meats! .. thank Bennington Vermont as true no burn !...

Best place in town! We placed a large takeout order that was delicious! The pizza is great, the calzones are delicious and huge! They gave us plenty of marinara dipping sauce which also seems home made and so tasty. We also got baked manicotti and it was the best i've ever had (and I get around). Can't wait for our next meal!

Though we always get it to go, this spot has it all. Excellent food with quality. Many healthy choices for toppings, friendly people and a cute, clean environment. The foldable crust is a must and our picky eaters love their pizza. Marigold kitchen makes everyone happy from the belly up! 🍕 👍🏼

High quality local and organic ingredients make their pizzas delicious. We had the Poppa with an egg in it and it was great the salad was good too, although a bit bland, but this was easily remedied with the dozen different toppings/cheeses/spices they had put for the pizza.

Wasn't expecting to find good pizza outside of NYC. Came here randomly because it was the closest place to my airbnb that was still open. Glad I did, the ingredients were fresh and the service was fast. Wasn't as thin a pie as I would have liked but was still really delicious.

I had a really nice dinner here! We ordered the large "Margie" (margherita but in the hip, local vernacular of this fast casual eatery) and split it between two reasonably but not overly hungry adults. It was fast, delicious and the crust was as thin as my patience with Tom the turkey who lives at our Airbnb (very thin, Tom is a preening jerk).

Random stop while traveling through area. Great burgers and homemade chips. I had water, but husband said the beers he tried were great. Server was very friendly and welcoming.

Great, shaded outdoor patio and a large area inside with games. I'm sure it's a good time with a crowd. Their draft beer menu had some local breweries and some national names as well. I ordered a VT brewed amber ale as well as a pilsner and their Gouda burger and fries hit the spot. Solid stop

This place was friendly and the food was good when they first opened. We’ve been back several times. This go round… awful! Chicken sandwich was tiny. The nachos have almost no cheese, barely any toppings. For the price of these, I didn’t expect plain nachos w 20 chopped onions, 5 jalapeños and a dash of shredded cheese. We never put bad reviews or complain about food. But as costs are increasing, the quality should still be decent.

Overall good experience - very friendly folks and a good atmosphere. We had the fried sandwich (not a lot of fish) and ham/cheese sandwich (way too much mustard) for $40 total including tip, with coffee and a coke. Also a bit unfortunate no toilet paper in the restroom. Beautiful seating area.

Sat inside. Flies everywhere and a hornet. Food was good and tap list was nice. A burger came out without any toppings other than the addition that was added and another was not the burger that was ordered. Waitress said the check was updated but it wasn't. Fairly long wait for the few customers that were there. I wouldn't go back.

This is a great place! Stop in and have a drinks, appetizers, dinner. Inside and outside sitting available. The staff is very friendly and accommodating OK. If you find yourself in Bennington you should stop in and give it a try!

I've been eating with this family for over 50 years through 2 locations and at least three generations of ownership. Its hard to find Greek style pizza and the yummy meatball subs are virtually unchanged since the beginning. Unfortunately, they seem very hesitant to hire more help and service is suffering. I haven't seen more than 2 people working at once. It's hard to get anyone on the phone if you're calling in an order, it rings and rings. I called one day last week to order a meatball sub. It rang and rang and when she answered I was told they were not making subs that night. One night I drove there because I couldn't get anyone on the phone (about a 20 minute drive but when you've got a craving!) and was told they didn't make the meatball subs nor did they make pizzas on that day of the week (I think it was a Sunday). They need more than 2 people. I will continue to go there but will definitely call ahead!

Nice clean environment and convenient location. Prices are fine, and the pizza sauce is good. But, the service was indifferent at best. Not a smile in sight. The guy at the Counter seemed sulky. Also, the pizza dough was raw! Really raw. I told the guy at the counter, and he said, "That shouldn't have happened," but he didn't offer to comp us or anything, so: money wasted.

Was staying nearby in town overnight and due to the hour decided on pizza. We were really disappointed in what was just a plain sausage and pepperoni pizza. The garlic cheesebread we ordered as a side had more flavor than the pizza did. Neither the sausage or pepperoni had much flavor and most of the sausage appeared to be sausage casing, not the meat. I wish I would have gone to a national place vs. getting something local. Not worth the price paid by any imagination.

Zesty sauce, quality mozz cheese. Not too thick dough, not NY thin but nice & thin. Crust has a crispy edge that is very well executed. Not a huge fan of their Steak and cheese sandwich, but other subs are good.

Pizza is dry....lack of cheese. Used to be decent I think they're cutting corners and it shows. Ordered wings...told they don't sell wings anymore. Unusual but ok I guess. Ordered a wrap for my wife....they were out of wraps. I tried to order a tuna sub. They were out of tuna. Settled on a cheese pizza for the kids....they wouldn't eat more than one piece each because it was so dry and just blah. Wife and I got steak grinders....omg DRY! Ordered with mayo and steak sauce....came with neither. Bland is all I can say. final note, when i went in to pay asked the guy how he was doing....he said I'd be better if I didn't have to work here! The apathy came through in quality and service. Don't waste your $$$. You've been warned!

Really delicious! I had a small tuna sub and my husband had the stuffed shells. The portions were very generous and reasonably priced. We will be back!

My wife and I went here on our honeymoon in 2020. Awesome little country store with unique merchandise and great souvenirs and treats to bring back home. We didn't buy much here, but what we did was good. We got a box of assorted maple syrups as well as maple candies. Nice place to stop by when in the area.

Lovely gift shop. Really enjoyed their rocks and crystal section. Really nice selection and vibe. Prices are the only thing holding it back from 5 star, but I understand. I've never seen quartz like this. Didn't know it grew that way. Learning that alone was worth the trip in. Also got some rocky candy and maple sugar leaves. You know, when in Vermont, do ad the Vermonters do. 😎

My husband & I toured Vermont for the week and stopped in to this quaint shop. The atmosphere was super chill and relaxing, all the individuals that own/work there were extremely friendly and offered interesting conversations. We ordered some lunch which was excellent and super fresh. There was a vast variety of local items from the area and we bought homemade jams, maple syrups and some souvenirs for our friends and family. We will 100% come back next time we are in the area. Thanks for the relaxing stop from our drive

Grabbed a Post-Hike burger after a 3 night backpacking trip. Did not disappoint. Food was great. Beer was good. Staff were friendly. Hard to fathom a better reward after 30 miles on the trail Also! Easy walk to a cute little downtown!

We stopped in Kelli’s for a snack. We asked to sit outside, after we did get seated, it took quite a bit of time for them to come outside and get our order. We had our pup with us, they are very dog friendly, they even have a menu for your dog. Food was great. We had a snack with wings and fries. The only problem was the beer I ordered, one from Frost and another from Burlington Beer was a bit warm and flat. I did mention to the waitress and she did offer me to get another beer, but I declined. We would go back for sure. Love the outdoor seating.

Ate outside with our dog. Service was great and the was very good. Wife enjoyed her salad with grilled steak cooked to perfection. I had a great cheeseburger and fries. Excellent choice for a walk in with no wait. A band was setting up for later and seating was beginning to fill up. Plan on going back. Okay…. It’s a week later and we were back. Same great waitress and good food. After a week in Maine, I was seafooded out and the prime rib was on special. Done! Wife had the salad with grilled chicken. Both were delicious choices. And, they have added a doggy menu. Unfortunately, ours is on a diet. Thanks folks! Y’all are awesome.

The food was AWESOME! I had the fish and chips and my husband had the special (veal or chicken parm, can't remember). Presentation was great, crispy fries and fish, sauce was tasty. It was so good we ordered a whole fish and cups meal to split for dinner. You cant go wrong here and we will have to come back at dinner for entertainment too

We were in Vermont for a week while my husband was working there. We went to Kelli’s every single day and ordered something different each time. We absolutely loved the food and the staff! Tonya and Kelli were always so kind and fun! One of the cooks was outgoing and we had some laughs with her too! She made sure that I had cream with my coffee, which was imperative! 😆 Thank you for a great week and if we come back, we will be sure to make it a priority to stop in!

I saw another review for terrible service ?on acct or race? and this may be the case afterall. Wife's shrimp scampi was Good, my burger was Cold when it finally came out. The waitstaff was as ice-cold as the water, and we asked for no ice. Our mixed-race table was studiously ignored after the waters came out. I had to ask TWO times the status of our order at the BAR. I was ignored utterly the first time, and also the second time. Other tabes got menus or food during the veritable minutes that ticked by after my queires. It was only after we were literally out the door that the gal with wavy hair -a bit flustered- told us there was a delay in the kitchen, yada yady, don't totally beleive it, and the order was really just about done. The gal with wavy hair seems to not be racist, for what it's worth. We also were asked if we needed silverware when the food finally came.... are we going to slurp scami noodles off our plates?? I dont like leaving 2 start reviews. I feel I need to here.

First time here so a four star for now. Stopped in randomly for some dinner and was pleased with our visit. Typical sports bar environment with high top and regular tables plus a decent size bar area. Our waitress was prompt and pleasant to work with, ordered onion rings for an appetizer, ordered the meatball sub with fries, good homemade meatballs 👍, grilled cheese was amazing and drinks were great! Hat’s off to our waitress Saturday around 5, just in time to get inside before the storm!! ⛈️

good variety of food even late on sunday(almost8pm) open till9pm. all food was properly cooked,hot and,tasty. price was reasonable as well. staff was hard working and nice. thanks for the food!

Horrible experience. My boyfriend and I went in to have lunch and payed for the all you can eat buffet. Could not understand the staff at all and my boyfriend had to tell the lady what he wanted to drink 6 times. Also watched them not be able to communicate with another costumer over a drink. Almost tripped over one of the workers while they were all just standing around not doing anything. The lady came over and took my plate even after I repeatedly told her I wasn’t done. After she did this I was put off so my boyfriend and I decided to leave since it wasn’t enjoyed to be there. After the lady came over and took my plate I was left with two pieces of pizza sitting on a napkin. I told my boyfriend it was very disrespectful of her to basically request me to put my pizza on a napkin so she could take my plate and that I really just wanted to leave. I then took those pieces of pizza since I was planning on eating them in the car and right as I was walking out the door the lady started yelling that I couldn’t take the pizza. Her and another worker started yelling at me in Chinese and would not give me any sort of chance to let me explain that I had already touched them so then I got frustrated and took a box. I had to wait for my boyfriend to come back with my wallet. I told another gentleman he could go infront of me since I was waiting. The workers that had yelled at me in Chinese then started yelling at this man telling him he cut me in line and wouldn’t listen to me saying I let him go. I ended up paying a whole $4.98 for two small pieces of pizza. Overall horrible experience.

My daughter and I went in to have a late lunch. We paid and went to sit. We tried to sit on the right side of the restaurant but got yelled at because they were cleaning. The lady couldn’t even communicate with us and was yelling at us in Chinese and pointing to the other side of the seating area. We sat down and the lady came over to ask what we wanted to drink. She had a very rude tone and tried to rush our decisions. We watched them tear apart the whole right side of the restaurant and deep clean it. They wiped down everything from the seats to the blinds. We could see the dust being stirred from them wiping down the blinds. It’s disgusting to think about all that dust settling on the food and people’s plates. I’m not sure why they had to do all this cleaning while people were there eating but it was a very rude and disgusting experience.

Worst customer service, we have enjoyed this place and tipped every time. My husband went in they over charged us, no drinks jist 4 trays lightly filled for 70 dollars, he asked them for fresh pizza when he said he didnt want the entire pizza just 2 slices for our son, proceeded to yell at him and say they would never make it for him again.

I was in the mood for some beef fried rice. I stopped in at the China Wok. The price was reasonable for the one size only container. I left a better than 40% tip. Now I am home and open my beef fries rice. To my disappointment there was little beef but tons of onions in the rice! They need to change the menu to onion fried rice. I spent the time to pick out most of the onions and ate the rice and small portion of beef.

one of the best restaurants i have ever been to. the server and chef were incredibly sweet and attentive. the food was beyond delicious. i have never had this good of thai food before and would have never imagined this restaurant would be hidden away in bennington. the atmosphere of the restaurant was also stunning. for the quality of food, flavor, and service, the price was fantastic. i can’t wait to come back here and try every single item on the menu.

The six tables at Taan are draped in white tablecloths and adorned with sparkling glassware. On a recent Saturday evening, only three of the six tables were occupied; the waitron/host Nikki said they could probably accommodate us for dinner, checked with the chef, and said as long as we didn't mind waiting, they'd be happy to serve us. We didn't mind waiting for cooked to order food! I ordered a glass of rose ($8). After we ordered, we were served a delightful amuse bouche that my husband pronounced "the best gyoza I've ever had." The contrast of textures (crispy shell with soft savory filling), temperatures (hot fried dumpling and cold salad), and flavors (chicken and vegetables, the spicy sweet dressing) were perfectly paired. He ordered Tom Gha Gai -- Thai Coconut Chicken Soup ($15), and I ordered Laab Gai -- Thai Salad ($15). We'd agreed to share, but swapped 1/3 through, because the lettuce cups were too spicy for my milder palate (though, the taste was amazing!). The soup was exquisite: shreds of white meat chicken with halved sweet, tangy cherry tomatoes, tiny mushroom quarters, and slivered shallots is the most flavorful coconutty, chickeny, lemongrassy broth I've ever had, with undercurrents of lime and ginger, garnished with sweet basil. We were delighted to receive a sorbert course as a palate cleanser - it was cold, creamy, sweet, and delightful with a leafy green garnish. Next, the chef came out with sparkling rose for the table with a gentlemen celebrating his birthday. We all sang to our new friend, and then everyone got a glass of wine (90+ Cellars Lot 197 Prosecco Rose), an unexpected treat that paired perfectly with Gaeng Phed Ped Yang -- Roasted Duck Curry entree ($45) we'd selected: the prosecco's strawberry lemon tang cut through the succulent, fatty duck and creamy sauce. The duck was expertly cooked, with a perfect meat-to-fat ratio on each neat slice. Again, the flavor pairings were amazing: mild yellow peppers, sweet, non-stringy pineapple, and more sweet cherry tomatoes and basil. The entree was accompanied by a soup tureen of brownish-purple rice berries: a delicious toothy, nutty, satisfying accompaniment. Executive Chef Jariya Wannapat came out to check on us and told us the rice berry is expensive but authentic, and very nutritious. All of the ingredients that could be local and organic were, and she was very proud that her traditional recipes did not include any GMOs, additives, or preservatives. Wannapat learned to cook from her mother, and worked in restaurants in San Francisco before returning to Thailand to attend culinary school. Throughout the evening, Nikki provided classic white glove service, serving from the left and removing from the right, unobtrusively refilling water glasses, replacing a dropped napkin, and being attentive but not overly solicitous. Her warm greeting and introduction when we arrived made us feel like we were at a meal with friends, and the dinner, served family style, meant we could ask for seconds if we wished (the serving sizes were perfect and satisfying). We were, in fact, too full to choose one of the two fruit-forward desserts, and told Chef and Nikki we would return just to get dessert the next evening. The Chef asked us to pick one, and packed Mango Sticky Rice to go. We ate it about two hours later, and it was, again, perfectly balanced: sweet/sour, soft/firm, and likely, hot pudding/fruit when served. At room temperature, it was absolutely wonderful. The entire meal was gluten and dairy-free, and the presentations were fresh, simple, colorful, and attractive. Taan: The Cuisine of Siam presents a delicious, thoughtful, sophisticated dining experience grounded in authenticity and attention to detail, for a very reasonable price. Every element of our meal and service was impeccable. I like Thai food, but my husband is more of a fan, and he said it was not only the best Thai food he's ever had, but it was one of the best meals, period, he's ever had in his life. It was as if each dish was the Platonic ideal of the dish. We can't wait to go back.

Phonetically speaking, Kob Koon Khop means thank you in Thai - and a big thank you to this hidden little gem of a restaurant located in the South Shire luxury small hotel in lovely Bennington VT. My wife and I are rabid fans of Thai cuisine and the TAAN restaurant in this hotel ranks very high in our hierarchy of favorites. If this delight was in the DC area, we would be weekly regulars for sure! Front of the house is managed by Fon and he is the consummate cordial professional - welcoming and warm. The chef is a lovely and delightful restauranteur, her name is Jariya. After supper she stopped by the table to say hello - her warm smile was dessert! The food was spicy and tasty without being too hot or too sweet. Delicious! Generous portion, served on china dishes with antique flatware. The Shire is a late 1800s era mansion and the TAAN is a small 6 table formal dining room - you will definitely need a reservation! Well worth a visit! Gorgeous property, great restaurant!

Some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had hands down. I’ve been to Thailand and this place is better than some of the places I ate there. Nikki was super nice and attentive. They even hooked us up with free ice cream and coffee!

Absolutely amazing food, service and ambience! We were here with our cranky infant, and taking turns to eat/distract the baby. They were so accommodating and wonderful and made sure we still felt welcome. The food was fresh, delicious and worth every penny spent. Special shout out to the cod which was delicate and flaky, and the soups. We will certainly be back again :)

I cannot possibly say enough great things. Absolutely remarkable. A total gem. Worth every penny. Probably some of the best food we’ve ever tasted, by far the best Thai food we’ve ever had (we eat primarily Thai). The experience was pure joy from start to finish. The chef is superb- came out to greet us and we felt we were in the presence of a supreme talent. Her friend gave phenomenal service. As someone who’s worked in the industry for 20 years, I pay close attention to detail and they nailed it. They both left us feeling loved, appreciated, and beyond well fed. BRAVO

I first wanna start off by saying that the gentleman working Duane was super sweet and on top of the service. So Duane if ur manager shows you this I hope you know you made the 2 young couples night with ur kindness and your service. So thank you. I haven’t been to a Pizza Hut in years and man did this trip bring back my childhood memories! So good!!! Definitely recommend

Went there yesterday. We were seated with menus and didn't get waited on for about 10 minutes. We placed a drink order (2 sodas), a small order of wings and a pizza. 10 minutes later, wings arrived. Then sat there for another 30 minutes waiting for pizza. Finally I got up to ask how much longer for the pizza. (They were not busy. There were only 2 other tables waiting for food). I was told that it was going to be a few more minutes because they had to make another pizza as the one we ordered got stuck to the pan. I asked for the check to pay for the wings and sodas, it was $18. Then we left. Almost an hour wasted waiting for pizza that never came. Never again. Stay away from this place. By the way, we passed by the salad bar on the way to the table and it was messy and dirty. Didn't order the salad bar because it looked so bad.

The salad bar is excellent and the selection of pizza crusts has something for everyone. The staff is prompt, pleasant and friendly. They frequently check back with you, but not too much to be a bother. Plenty of parking. I eat at Pizza Hut every time I'm in town. I wish I needed to go to Bennington, VT more often just to go to the only Pizza Hut around.

Play New York style pizza. They made the pizza with the regular pizza crust. And they use mozzarella cheese instead. So it was the worst pizza ever. I couldn't even touch your eat it. I called back to try to get a refunded one. Not, and they were just being a*******, so gotten nowhere. This is definitely the worst pizza hut i've been to...

Pizza Hut back 20 years ago was our favorite pizza place. Now we go maybe once a year and they never disappoint in letting us know just how bad the pizza is now. What a let down.

We love Angry Egg Two! We live a few blocks away and come in every Sunday for breakfast as a treat! My 2 top favorite dishes are eggs Benny and the waffle sammich with the flavored coffee. I believe the only other place in Bennington that serves eggs Benny is Papa Pete's down the road, but out of the 2, I definitely prefer AE2's version. The hollandaise is perfect, and the homefries are nicely seasoned and crispy. The waitresses are prompt and friendly, and the food is good quality, generously portioned, and affordable. What more can you want for a casual, locally-owned diner experience? They often have free and talented live music playing on Sundays at 11, so plan according to your preference and / or hearing ability/disability. After breakfast, you can walk up and down the street and check out the other great local shops. It's a perfect Sunday if you ask me!

Wow! I am currently hiking the AT, and these are by far the best pancakes I have ever had. Great, clean place, and you can tell everyone on the staff cares about the service they provide. Eat here if you are hungry; I highly recommend it. Thank you for a great breakfast!

Gluten free pancakes and toast were good! Eggs and home fries were standard. Staff was super friendly. Seems like a place that locals really like to go, and there was a live music duo setting up to play as we were leaving. The layout is strange though, with the booths pulled away from the wall so there is awkward space on the side of your table. Also, a lot of open space in the middle with a giant host podium, where you'd think tables would be. It's odd-looking overall, but the food and staff are worth it.

Very breakfast items. Breakfast corn dog was very tasty. A tater tot offering with a variety different flavors were great. Short stack of blueberry pancakes wer loaded with berries and real maple syrup. Mimosas -grapefruit, apple or traditional.....Yum Staff is very friendly and efficient. Atmosphere is open and airy.

Absolutely amazing meal. Server was fast, knowledgeable and kind. Food was amazing. Super chill vibe. Coffee was solid. Very robust breakfast menu. Not your typical “greasy spoon” garbage like some of the other places in town. Had the Classic eggs bene and the Angry Hash. Loved it all. Home fries were perfect and tasted like French fry nuggets. Bene was delicious. Angry hash is angry as hell and a nice kick to start the morning. Only mistake was we saw delicious looking hot chocolate being served to another table replete with candy canes and we should’ve gotten that too. Did not eat lunch but menu looks solid and a nice draft list to select from. I don’t understand the negative reviews. This is such a silly town. Highly recommended unless you have wooden teeth and don’t understand how breakfast works. Wonderful time.

The food was awesome and the staff was amazing. The Sunday I visited there was live music being played. I live in the Buffalo NY area and just for the French toast I would drive the 340 miles one way to eat that dish again. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the Bennington VT area.

HORRENDOUS! I went there on a Monday afternoon at 4pm and ordered 6 tacos, nothing complicated. No one else was in the restaurant ahead of me, the employees were just standing around talking to each other. After waiting 15 minutes, I asked for my money back. The manager told me that I had an attitude and there were 20 drive thru and internet app orders ahead of me and they get priority. Got my refund and left.

I ordered pick up at this location to be done at 5:11 after getting there 20 minutes later my order was not done yet and have been told that they hadn’t started it so I waited until almost an hour went by since my order was made and I asked the manager and she told me that the KFC orders were already done and then told me that maybe my order was wrong and that it was at a different location, which, after telling her that it was the right location and giving her the confirmation number then found it behind the counter at the pick up station that have been sitting there for close to an hour. I’ve never had any bad reps for KFC ever, but this is the first time I’ve ever had to wait an hour for food and then get told to my face that maybe it was my issue.

The food there was amazing, I order a 16pc of tenders and a 36pc nugget and took 5 minutes for me to get my food but overall it was worth the wait. Plus they where short on staff that day. If you want some good chicken or tacos this is definitely the place if you don't mind waiting a bit. If it's busy though it gonna be a bit of a wait.

Very slow even if you’re the only person in line at 7pm at night waiting outside their drive thru window for twenty minutes just for one box of three piece chicken and two sides. The Mac and cheese tasted like plastic so who knows how long that was sitting around. The coleslaw was dry. No apology for making me wait long and if the fools didnt charge my card before making me wait for those twenty minutes I would’ve drove away after waiting five. This location should honestly be shut down seeing these ppl can’t handle it who are employed at this place..

Waited 25 min in the drive thru. Was 1 car in front of me. Went inside for my food and it was cold and tasted like it had been sitting there for a year. They said they were waiting on biscuits..I didn't order a biscuit. Terrible food and even worse service (well they were both pretty much the same...awful!)

I drove all the way to Bennington VT ( an hour ) just to try the new wraps. I had the spicy mac & cheese wrap & the honey BBQ. I was so excited that I ate half of one before I took a pic. I rate the Mac & Cheese wrap a 7. It had a big piece of chicken, but it needed a little more flavor. The honey BBQ had a smaller piece of chicken which was disappointing, so it gets an 8 for the flavor.

Most of our order was wrong and the parts that were right were cold and looked like they’ve been sitting out for days. They forgot our nacho cheeses, our burrito, our cheesy fiesta potatoes; we didn’t get the right hard tacos, our chalupas only had chicken and the hard tacos only had meat and lettuce. The five layer burritos were missing the nacho cheeses too and too dry to eat. They didn’t give us a receipt and by the time we got home with the food we didn’t have time to get back there before they close. Seems like everything we did get was leftover from the day and they scraped the bottoms to gather it! Even our 1 year old wouldn’t eat the food. Terrible experience, we wasted our $20 and didn’t even get to eat.

This was the greatest fast food experience I’ve ever had. It made me wanna give my firstborn to Mr bell. It made me wanna give Mexico a second chance and consider lighter border security.

The food was way to spicey I was throwing up I got a Catina taco. And you they don’t know there portions bc this is extra spicy and the whole this was covered if hot sauce. The sauce is wrong for sure! What is this!!!!

My sons food is cold dryer then dry took over an hour standing there and they never told me that there was going to be a wait and i stood there for over half Ann hour no ever asked me how my day was they were rude had napkins sitting out soda machine was dispensing water and told me that it was normal and then after ordering after waiting for those times, they told me I needed to wait another half hour because they had no chicken cooked

I am AbsolutelyDisgusted by the interaction.I just had at this Taco Bell as soon as I walked in the general manager there made fun of me and the way I was dressed and was telling one of the workers.I was a sexy guy for them. when I went up to the counter to complain and say don't you dare speak to me like that. She was a coward and wouldn't face me.They are also refusing to give me the franchise owner's information because this absolutely needs to be addressed

Almost every time I go to this place, I end up waiting 15-20 mins to get food...Not bad if u don't mind the wait..Jusr the slowest fast food I've ever experienced.

When I walked inside I had to wait for the staff to finish smoking to place an order inside. When she came inside she really didn't care about the service. I made a comment so Sammie told me to go do it. So this is my response a bad review.

Love the store . Sandwich was fresh and delicious, good products. Lots of spices at good prices. Parking was a little tight but to be fair I could’ve just hit it on a busy day. Worth the trip

First time at the market last week and I can’t stop thinking about the sandwich we got! My husband has heading back today. I highly recommend this wonderful market! Everything is fresh. Their breads are amazing. Everything about this market is amazing.

Great place to buy ingredients for cooking ,baking, sandwiches and salads made to order. They have a great selection of deli meats and cheeses. Music playing is very soothing. They have gift items from local makers. I love going to Pennsylvania Lancaster area and here I can get a lot of jarred pickled vegetables and not have to drive to PA. I love to go here. Multiple loose leaf ot teabags, and coffee.

FYI the deli closes at 5pm promptly. I love this place for all of my PA Dutch classics! It's always so clean and everyone is so nice. Lebanon Bologna, including sweet bologna! I'm even told they are making shoofly pie. Don't forget some chocolate covered pretzels. Please build an addition and start a Shady Maple style Smorgasbord!!!

The Market Wagon always offers fresh food with plenty of healthy options to choose from. Their sandwiches and salads are especially amazing—always flavorful and satisfying!

Visiting from RI. Raised in PA Dutch country not far from where Seltzers bologna is made. They have their sweet Lebanon bologna and all types of spice mixes just like Dutch-way has. Next time I'm in the area this will be my first stop.

The employees are great. I always have a pleasant experience when interacting with the crew. The only thing is that the meat toppings are never enough. When ordering meat toppings, I get on average 1 piece of meat per slice. I do not consume pork, so when I order, it is usually the chicken, steak, or beef if I order meat on my pie. Aside from that this Domino's rules.

Wanta thank Zack for understanding the situation that our order was incorrect and making it right! You guys do a great job, im sorry that miscommunication is made time to time but being patient and hearing the customer out was a huge plus for me! Big difference it makes long term for any customer ordering from a restaurant that want to order from said place. Other wise food was good and fresh and employees were perfessional. I hope good things come from Zack and his team at this specific dominos. Keep it going and be true to what you guys do.

Small location, really clean inside unlike other dominoes I've been to. Very short wait time for my order. Took longer to get there than it took for my order to be done. 10/10 will definitely be ordering from this location again.

I just want to commend Bryan on second shift. I dropped my wallet in my driveway and I probably would have never seen it again had Bryan not come right to our door with our pizza and let us know that my wallet was out there. That's solid, and he deserves to be recognized for that because not many people would have done that around here. Every time we see him he is working super hard and he is just such a great spirit with fantastic energy. Bryan, we see you and THANK YOU! The staff at the deli were friendly, but there is a major disconnect between what is on the menu and what is actually served to the customer. We ordered 2 warm Tuscan chicken breast sandwiches, featured on the menu as specialty sandwiches at $14 each. To our dismay, what we received was a sandwich filled with the remnants and scraps from a roaster(some were cold by the way) that included generous amounts of skin, slim and dark stringy parts from chicken legs, grizzle and wing cartilage. We removed most of the meat as it was unappetizing. When I brought this to the attention of the deli staff person who took our order she was polite but stated that they do not buy chicken breasts but buy roasters. I suggested that they correct their menu as we paid for a chicken breast and received straps. Very poor quality deli experience and very overpriced for what you get. For $14 the sandwich comes with a pickle and a handful of stale potato chips. I’ve attached photos of the menu and the sandwich. I will not be returning to the deli at the Community Market nor can I recommend it to others.

Went on free coffee Fridays, can’t complain about free drip coffee. Had two bagels with sausage egg cheese, the local sauces added a sweet/spicy kick and the peanut butter cookie was fluffy on the inside. Staff was very nice, would come back for sure

Great bright and open space to gather for remote working, coffee, or working meeting with friends. Espresso drinks are fantastic and breakfast/lunch menu will have something for everyone. Many things on the grocery side are expensive, but it's a conveniently located place for me to grab local milk and staples. They also have some nice partnerships w community groups and events.

A delightful addition to downtown Bennington. Warm and friendly local folks will make you feel right at home. A non-profit with very healthy fresh produce from nearby farms including some of the best organic growers. Handmade delicacies and even some unusual items: so look around at all the shelves. Not just a grocery -- rates as a must stop for visitors.

The deli counter waitperson was short tempered after we ordered from the wall menu and we were informed about the turkey was out of stock so she stood there getting more impatient and when we decided on an alternative selection she sends another worker in front and he takes another customer order who stepped in front of us the first wait person ignored this, this has happened multiple times we were trying to get service and I am through paying for rude treatment and will relate my sentiment whenever the chances present.

A friend and I came here for lunch and had a decent time. However, there were lots of issues with the register, they were out of some items, and they double-checked whether I was eating in the store and still gave me a takeout box with no utensils vs a tray. The price is also a bit steep - for a basic cheesesteak, a bottle of Coke, and Buffalo chicken fries - including tip I shelled out $40. The interior was pristine and cozy with nice seating. HOWEVER - the portions are not what you expect. The fries came in a huge portion and were actually pretty tasty. I ended up being full just from those, as they were more than enough for lunch. The cheesesteak wasn’t bad, but was kind of soggy and on the small side for $14. Will definitely be back to try the chicken sandwich but now I know not to get both the fries and sandwich together.

This is by far my favorite place to eat in town. The food is excellent and relatively consistent. I just don't understand why the "open" sign is lit up in your window but the lights were off and no one was visible inside? I walked in realizing no one was there. Says your open online and outside your window. I'm assuming they are having difficulties finding decent employees. Just wish I knew you were closed before making the drive.

I wanted to leave my opinion here. I know the owner of this establishment. He knows me too. I am Neysa the woman who comes in doing Door Dash or with my son. I have to be very honest. I like spicy food but the food here is not that good and it's way over priced. I know have to come slot because of my job and it's close by but honestly the food sucks and for the price I could go to McDonald's 4 times. I don't see how your place stays in business. I mean ok, I have to be honest. Your food is not that good at all and so expensive I found a hair in my food one day when I came in with my son. Mhmmm delicious! I left and still wanted to keep eating bc it was that good! The staff was very friendly and helpful when it came to ordering. We got the original Philly and the Mac n cheese bites and ugh I highly recommend!

Ordered online from them. Door dash went 3 times to pick up my order. Freaking place decided not to open today. Waste 4 people time. Joke. Wont be using you guys again. Juniors food truck will get all of my employees business from now on.

Arrived around 5:40pm on second day of soft open. I do now have the ability to order online. They use the Snackpass app, so now I can order ahead. Place is clean. Comfortable seating while waiting. Ordered 4 sandwiches and 2 orders of fries and the order came to over $80. Absolutely delicious! Took special orders professionally and even suggested the one order that had deducts on it was cheaper as another item that already didn't have that stuff on it.

Great place to get a nice filling bite to eat! Food was awesome! Service was absolutely fantastic. Philly Ds has been a long awaited restaurant that is absolutely worth all of these months of waiting for the grand opening. Do yourselves a favor and go give them a try!
