Nice mid size museum. Very high quality artifacts and artwork. Took me around 1-2 hours to look at everything. Entry costed $20 and I paid at the door, no reservation required. Great little aquarium section with fine assortment of tropical fish and animals. Highly recommend.

Great museum. Small aquarium downstairs with an active snake too. A mummy talk was quite informative. And my 6 year old enjoyed the origami and other things geared to her age...and he under the sea christmas tree themed exhibit.

BOTH MY SON AND DAUGHTER ARE GROWN NOW BUT THE ONE THING WE ALL LOVED WAS THE FISH AQUARIUM! I ALSO ATTENDED THERE A FEW OTHER TIMES FOR DANCE PERFORMANCES.. BEAUTIFUL PLACE FILLED WITH PAINTINGS, EXHIBITS AND ART.. A CUTE GIFT SHOP ALSO

This is a wonderful community museum. Kids (and some adults) love the natural history gallery and the camps, aquariums, and classes. There are usually special exhibits for the large number of adults who visit during the spring and summer. This summer (2024), there are two great exhibits that focus on women. One, "Women in Space" took us from the first woman, who in 1912, flew the first loop the loop, through Amelia Earhart to the pioneers of the US Space Program (see photos). The other special exhibit, "Black Women as Muse" presented some beautiful, Black x White photographs of Black women from all walks of life (see photos).

Nice local museum with a good variety of exhibits. The aquarium in particular is very nice for a museum of this size. It's fairly small and mostly geared to kids, but it's good enough to keep the adults entertained as well. The $15/adult price is a bit high if you are visiting without kids, as you can get through the whole thing in about an hour. But if the price doesn't bother you it's well worth the visit.

Awesome mix. Aquarium on the bottom floor was great, along with the rock and mineral section. Ancient History Replica art/sculptures, ancient zoology, early technology innovations and more... Great place for those who gently respect and appreciate museum artifacts. If your kids are wild then might not keep their attention;)

We had a lovely time here! We enjoyed seeing the animals in the aquarium and reptiles section. The art was lovely to observe as well! I especially appreciated the signs acknowledging problematic aspects of museums and history about local native people. Thank you for being responsible.

Have always wanted to come here and was in the “neighborhood!”. Donna our guide was friendly and very informative. I always find these author houses interesting and Melville’s was not a disappointment. I wish I had time to visit Edith Wharton house which I hear is beautiful. Also Arrowhead has a nice little gift shop with shirts and books and a nice selection for kids.

Loved it! The guides explained Herman’s rich history, and the house is kept pretty well. It's such a beautiful piece of land. I wish there was more to choose from in the gift shop.

We were on a short driving trip around the Berkshires and we stayed in Lenox as a base. Each day we drove out for sightseeing and dining. One day we drove over to Arrowhead, the home of Herman Melville. It is a rather modest house in the country with some acreage. We did not have time to go inside as we had to go meet our friends.

Beautifully preserved testament to the life of Herman Melville. Our tour guide, John, was absolutely brilliant and wow-ed our group which included of two young english literature scholars. Definitely a must-visit for anyone in the area.

I had a wonderful time exploring Herman Melville's house. The tour guide had a deep knowledge and was marvelous in describing many stories.

Another fun place to visit. We got there after it closed Stayed too long enjoying Mount Greylock. Walked around the grounds. Learned a little from the grounds keeper who was mowing the lawn. This is where the author wrote the famous Moby Dick book and others. Come aee where he got his inspiration!! Coming back to see and kearn more next year. An authors and poets dream.

day22(10SEP24) sanctuary43: good place to both walk and stretch your eyeballs...open fields and marsh close to downtown pittsfield. two separate loop trail systems. sacred way trail along housatonic river likely wet and muddy in spring, but level and wide with plenty of boardwalk thru elderberry /arrow-wood floodplain swamp.

Nice easy walk with beautiful views. Entrance can be easy to drive by, so be ready to turn. Definitely bring bug spray for the mosquitoes during warm weather, and boots if it has rained recently for the mud. Tons of animals and plants to see if you are quiet.

My first experience here was almost a year ago, so I’ve had the opportunity to experience it through the seasons. It is a lovely, flat nature preserve that is used for hiking/walking, or snowshoeing and cross country skiing in the winter. It can get pretty busy with XC skiers when the snow/weather is nice. It is family friendly all year long. The parking lot is small so it can fill up quickly.

Wonderful place to bird watch and take in the sights and sounds of nature. Very quiet, the people who come here are pleasant and respectful. You can see deer, beavers, rabbits, butterflies, and many different bird species. Very close to the city but it certainly doesn't feel like it! A fantastic spot for a nice nature walk.

Parking lot small, but place is fairly big. Despite lot being full I didn't see a soul. Have seen beaver, muskrat, coydog (not recently), deer, turkey and many bird species. There have been bear sightings, though I have never encountered any. The Audubon Society asks for a small donation.

We enjoyed an extremely peaceful walk along Sacred Way Trail. The sounds of this wildlife sanctuary were wonderful. The woodpecker pecking was great to hear. But then my wife met her match when she saw a snake slide across the bridge we were crossing. So we had to retreat and take the crossover trail and head back.

This hiking trail is a hidden gem and seems underrated. We visited during christmas and pathway was snow filled. There is a little pond where you can find beautiful ducks. Don’t miss out if you are nearby

Wonderful theater and production of Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap. Staff is great and it is nice to be able to take drinks into the theater. Restoration of the theater is truly beautiful.

What a beautiful group of folks in the tix office. Joann and Brian went out of their way to assist my wife and myself celebrate our 3ed anniversary. It’s the ultimate in customer service. We love the Colonial Theater and you will as well. Excellent experience with all at the Colonial. We celebrate our anniversary with great entertainment at reasonable priced performance's. Beautiful, historic art-deco theatre. (See photos). Comfortable seats, lobby, and bar. Friendly and helpful staff and volunteers show you to your seats. And we saw a Great show --- "Young Frankenstein" a musical by Mel Brooks. It was hysterical!

A beautiful Old theater that has been renovated recently. The character of the building is only outdone by the acoustics. I saw Pink Floyd the wall, and it was an astounding performance. If they do it again I strongly recommend seeing it. Back to the theater. Extremely comfortable. The staff is amazingly friendly and will direct you easily to your seat, as well as to anything else you might need. Almost 10 years now and this is my first visit. What a mistake that I haven't gone before. I'll be back.

The Colonial is a gem. The productions are always excellent, whether theater or musical, and the building itself is always breathtaking in its restored elegance. I always take a moment to silently thank the Miller family as I enter. They ran their art supply business from here for years, likely saving this historic spot from the wrecking ball, and from what seems to be the current business spawn, a car dealership.

Beautiful architecture. Great place to enjoy a show. Have been here several times now. Every show has been incredible! Will keep coming back. Even introduced my in-laws to the theater. We all love it. Great night out.

I love the Colonial. I actually put on Broadway to the Berkshires there in 2006, 2007,2008. It’s a wonderful experience to be in shows there and to watch shows there. We went to see Mousetrap last night with friends. We’ve never sat in the mezzine . The seats are very tight, it was extremely hot even after several people complained during intermission. The actors were hard to understand . I realize an English accent is difficult to follow but it’s easier if the actors slowed down a touch and enunciated . This play was boring I’m sad to say. Just not one of our favorites.

Absolute best time tubing here!! Can't wait to go this winter! Lanes are fun and fast. Ride back up the hill is key! Fire pits are a nice addition!

Can't wait to go back! I'm not a skier, but I would try here! Went tubing, had a great time! Great for a date day, family day, any day! Large or small groups, Safe, fun, organized, and you can't help but smile. Tubing lanes are separated, so this avoids injuries. Open rain or shine, so get there. Definitely do this 🙌🫶🙌

My family and I haven't been skiing 🎿 in years. We changed that this week by visiting this awesome spot. Club house is beautiful and new. Everything was very clean and employees extremely friendly/helpful. Colby was a true rockstar, my dad had lost his wallet and he notified us of the proper channels. He was very welcoming to us and eventually we found the wallet! Colby was running the blue ski lift and brought with him a can do attitude and his communication was first class. Also, notable was the entire tubing staff from Wednesday and Thursday. We enjoyed both skiing and tubing here. As a result, I highly recommend this place. The mountain has some easy parts along with some very challenging. There is a bunny slope for practice if you haven't been in awhile. They offer lessons, quick eats at the cafeteria, or restaurant/bar. Very reasonably priced for rentals/skiing/tubing. The lady at the front who checks people in for tubing is doing a stellar job too. She's a bills fan, but I won't hold it against her 🤣👌 5 🌟

Best kept secret in the area! Looking for great food, tasty drinks, and and amazing view? Look no further. How is this place not packed every night? The restaurant should have its own google page, I don't think everyone realizes that the restaurant is there- the food and location are both amazing! Tried the penne primavera and the burger- both were great, even the fries were impeccable. Also tried their Dark and Strawberry cocktail- phenomenal. Go now before everyone realizes it's open and amazing during the summer!

Great ski resort. I started coming to Bousquet about 6 or 7 years ago. More recently, they completely renovated the lodge and the new building is a HUGE upgrade. They take good care of it and it creates a nice atmosphere here. The mountain itself is smaller compared to other ski areas in New England, but this is still a great place for a more relaxed skiing/boarding experience. The runs are fun and have a few challenging spots. Unfortunately you end up doing the same runs over and over due to the limited number of trails, especially when there hasn't been much snowfall and some trails are closed off. But Bousquet is still a nice place if you just want to relax and cruise down the trails for a while. Prices are pretty reasonable for a ski resort actually. Weekdays are cheapest and go for around $50 or so for 4 hours, or I think just a few dollars more for 8 hours, so it's usually worth getting an 8 hour pass. Altogether this is a nice place - nothing groundbreaking, but you'll enjoy your visit.

Snow Tubing Review: You will be waiting longer than you will be Tubing! The problem with this tubing hill is that it's lanes are too short and everyone at the top of the hill must wait for everyone at the bottom of the hill to fully exit ALL the lanes at the bottom before being allowed to slide down. There are ~10 Tubing lanes. Once at the bottom of the hill everyone must walk across the other lanes to exit where the magic carpet lift takes them back up the mountain. The one exit path that goes across the tubing lanes is not at the end of the tubing lanes, it's BEFORE the end, so a person going down the hill on their tube will hit you, hence why everyone at the top must wait until everyone has cleared the bottom before being able to slide down. This is the first time I've been Tubing at a ski resort where it's been like this. Add to the fact that smaller children who rode alone were getting stuck because their tube would stop halfway down the track, our day turned into 2 hours of more waiting than tubing. Two of my children simply didn't care for this at all and didn't find it fun. We attempted to leave and get our money back, but were informed there are no refunds. Unfortunately I wouldn't return to go tubing here again, and I wouldn't recommend this tubing hill to anyone else. There is another tubing option 25 minutes away at butternut that we found much more fun.

All positive. I was a little concerned after hearing a few people state Oh Bosquet! Let me tell you the new 2 year old ski lodge is wonderful. The skiing lessons were for 3 people and one instructor. The result was a family aging 59, 23 and 6 receiving 3 instructors for 3 days at NO extra cost. They really wanted to to have a great time and went well beyond to ensure it happened. In fact beside this really quiet resort I mean we were the first people on the slopes when it opens at noon and over 3 days the most people we saw in total was probably 50. Highly recommended if you want a family skiing vacation. *****

Such a beautiful place. Very generous sites that allow for privacy. Fire pits but no grill. I'll come back.

Scenic, accessible, and well maintained, what else do you want in a state park? We stayed for a weekend camping. The hiking trails are well marked. The bathrooms are very well maintained. My comfort station at the main campground area had a dishwashing station, hot showers locks on the doors, lockable door on the family room, and nice bathrooms with flush toilets.

Was amazed with the park great hiking trails. The bathroom and shower is newer than other parks that I have visited.

The Pittsfield State Forest, near the Lulu trailhead—a playground for outdoor enthusiasts and their canine companions. The absence of trash barrels serves as a subtle reminder to tread lightly and respect the land. It's not just a haven for hikers and their four-legged friends; mountain bikers will find the terrain equally inviting. With slopes that offer just the right blend of challenge and exhilaration, it's a spot where rubber meets dirt in the most satisfying way. All in all, it's a place that offers a little bit of rugged paradise for everyone.

It was a nice spot for my girlfriend and her kids to stay but when we switched the reservation to my name and she left her set up for me is when we had problems, drunks came crashing into our site hit the fire pit almost ruined our tent all DCR did was call state police who did nothing. They didn’t address the alcohol even though the rules clearly state no alcohol allowed. Now get woken up told I’ve been here for two weeks leave and don’t come back, which is false I’ve been here less than a week, my gf and her kids were here a month. Don’t camp here unless you enjoy near death experiences and drama.

I love this place, every time I go it's a different experience. There is trails for every one, with nice little views all over the mountain. Even if you don't want to hike there is picnic spots with grills, a beach area with white sands. If you drive half way up there is a view spanning over new york and a quant little pond. When I went today with my pup it was beautiful clear skys at the bottom, once I got to the top it was a foggy new world.

Very nice area. Berry Pond is really great. You can just stick around for a long time. The whole area is so peaceful and birds chirping is very soothing. We just decided to give it a try and we were very pleasantly surprised. If I am in the area again, I will sure consider visiting again.

Such a cool theater, with a great stage and we saw an awesome show. N/A was so timely and well done, definitely a pleasure to visit and see great actors perform.

Fun place but very small and not a lot of parking. But they show some very good musicals and plays!

Such a cute park right near downtown Pittsfield! The gardens are beautiful and there are plenty of places to sit. Lots of parking and wasn’t busy at all. Very quiet and peaceful.

My dog and I wandered through these beginner/intermediate level trails, where they offer both sanctuary and enigma. Great place to bring your kids. Didn't see that many people here but my visit was around 4:30pm on a weekday. Kids really enjoyed the swings (which have new safety features that I really appreciated) and slides. They have a wider selection of playground activities than most local parks. It's also a pretty massive space that extends beyond the playground and sports fields to include gardens and well-manicured lawns.

Used to be nicer. Now you will regularly find trash. Beer cans and nip bottles around where the kids play, etc.

Finally got some new nets up and it's actually clean 👌🏾

Decent enough spot to get the tiny truck out, watch out for broken glass and needles.

This park is a wonderful, family friendly park. It has open fields, disc golf, basketball court, children's play area, trails, and a stream that flows through it with a table and areas for dogs. Easy to bring a stroller with you, but might be difficult to have wheelchair access through the whole place.

A variety of single and double track trails for mountain biking and hiking, through some really nice wooded areas. The disc golf course is fun for the kids but in need of some new baskets. But it's free.

The playground and disc golf course are great! My three year old plays here a bunch. There are usually a few kids but never crowded. The disc golf course is beginner friendly, as it is more open, but still presents a challenge to most players. The only downfall is a good portion of people do not pick up their dog poop, so watch out!

So happy to have found a local spot where dogs can openly socialize. What a welcome community!

Good playground , great place to walk. Pretty little river , great place to bring your dogs, even a beaver dam

Very cool park with lots of trails in the back. One leads to the 'sith'; an abandoned dam/reservoir structure that offers very interesting uses of shadow and geometry for photos. Scattered among trails there is also a very nice waterfall, ruins of a cabin, and a rusted out shell of a very old truck. You'd have to explore quite a while to find all four but I highly recommend if you're into that sort of thing! (Also my son approves of the playground, and I don't play, but I've heard the disc golf course is decent as well).

Very nice city park with lots of open spaces, trails, sport fields, and disc golf. Lots of good dogs, but unfortunately not all good owners. Dogs routinely let off leash throughout the park, even in clearly marked sports fields, leading to lots of dog waste throughout the park. 5 stars for the park. 0 stars for far too many dog owners.

It is springtime in the Berkshires, the birds are singing and the trees are dressing up. It wonderful place to be. The trail is maintained well.

Smoothest pavement and best maintained rail trail we've ever had the pleasure of riding. Saw lots of turtles! Look for them in the murky shallows.

Beautiful Trail ! All paved. Plenty of parking options There was also restrooms located at parking lots and plenty of tables and benches along the way.

14 miles of paved, clean, beautiful woods, lake and mountain views. This is the nicest bike trail we have used.

This was a fun place to ride. I’m sure it’s a better place to ride in the summer because it was cold! Nov. 1st is pushing the window. Even riders passing me were telling me how cold they were. The wind really whips out there, and headwinds can be trying. But it was fun. I felt like I was the only person on the path not on an electric bike or a motion-assisted bike.

This is the best rail trail in the far western part of the state. There is no good parking spot at the northern end yet, but you can park on a street nearby. The surface is great.

We had a blast here, the trail was wide and the scenery was outstanding. We love that the trail was flat and even and there was plenty of parking along it

Overall really good but some of the dishes seemed to attempt certain flavor combinations that fell short. We had to ask for extra sauce for the potatoes (black garlic) and honey for the Spanish cheese (the fig spread that was paired was too tart to compliment the cheeses and needed more sweetness). Service was excellent however and all of our requests were accommodated.

Nice, chill vibe. Food choices were varied with lots of good options. I went with a classic.... an old fashioned. They got it just right. Lots of local people here playing music. I plan on returning to enjoy other artists...and drinks.

Rounding off hipster triangle here in Pittsfield (the Lantern & Dottie’s are the other two sides rounding the culinary isosceles) this is exactly the kind of high-end rustic that delights. Simple but hearty & refined menu, great drink offerings and great service. Here I am a year later, the menu proves exquisite and surprising. Very likely the best of Pittsfield. And here I am another few months later and this place has surpassed. From the generous dollop of goat cheese and the surprising addition of hazelnuts to the roasted beet salad, to the effervescent pork belly and hearty AF shepherd's pie - again with goat cheese, also rosemary, lamb, this chef is the serious whimsy that compels.

This place is a real gem. The food was great, parmesan truffle fries did not disappoint. We arrived on Thursday night and we're able to catch the Americana band, who was phenomenal! The manager Matt was accommodating, kudos to him and his staff. Thank you!

We had two great meals here. A late dinner and breakfast (they are serving breakfast while Dottie’s is under renovation). The food was really good, the service was super friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere was relaxed and just funky enough. The music was great too - the live music at night and the breakfast soundtrack. Only knock is the live music was a bit too loud.

This was the most perfect venue for our wedding. We got married last weekend and although the weather didn’t cooperate, the crew and staff at Balderdash made everything perfect. I cannot thank them enough for the most beautifully decorated barn in the best wedding ever!

We hosted our wedding welcome party at Balderdash and it was the BEST decision we ever made. Christian and his team at Balderdash went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make it the best event we could have ever imagined. From start to finish, they helped us plan an event that perfectly met our vision. They are helpful, kind, thoughtful, and so much fun. It's a stunning venue and our guests absolutely loved it. What a lovely day. The views here are spectacular. It is kid and dog friendly. Spent a leisurely afternoon listening to music , drinking good wine (they have beer and non-alcoholic options) and there was a food truck. Plenty of Adirondack-style chairs or tables with umbrellas. And for wine drinkers...the grapes come from California and are processed here.

Honestly the best winery experience we have had! Absolutely beautiful setting - large grassy areas, gravel area with tables and chairs, cool indoor area overlooking to wine making process. The “take a chair” policy is such a novel and ideal way for set up - it was great to grab chairs, a folding table, and set up wherever we wanted to for the day. They had amazing wines and the flights were a very cute set up.

We hosted our wedding welcome at Balderdash, and it was absolutely wonderful. The property is stunning, and Christian and his team were so kind and communicative throughout the process. Christian went above and beyond to help us coordinate a last-minute concert for our event, which made the evening even more special. Our guests raved about the beauty of the property and the warmth of the staff. We can’t wait to return to enjoy the wine and the views!

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Christian, Donna, and the entire team at Balderdash Cellars! This past weekend we hosted a large-scale wedding welcome celebration at the winery with nearly 170 guests. The event required coordination with an out-of-state caterer, a local catering company for production and service, a tent, numerous rentals, and lots of moving pieces. Every single detail — and every extra request — was met with grace, kindness, and professionalism. Christian and Donna made us feel completely supported and cared for throughout the process, and their team went above and beyond to ensure our couple and their guests had the most incredible experience. Balderdash is not only stunning, but it is also one of our absolute favorite spots in the Berkshires to kick off a wedding weekend. If you’re looking for a place that will wow your guests and work with you like true partners, this is the place. We are so grateful to this amazing team!

Lovely atmosphere with live music and a great view of the pond and surrounding hills. Plenty of space for parking and sitting.

A lovely and educational way to spend an afternoon. I had only two hours and was able to see a lot, but would recommend to budget 3-4 hours for a more complete experience. There are guides for some exhibits. While I wasn't part of their groups I did listen and they were engaged and informed. They also did a nice job of catering to a variety of ages from children through seniors. The grounds are so pretty--particularly for out of towners like myself who don't get to see this type of country terrain. I was particularly impressed with the round barn after tagging onto a tour to learn the details of the construction and its history. The tour of that building includes cows, goats and sheep. There are numerous other demonstrations and docents to give life to the exhibits--blacksmith, basket making, etc. Check the schedule before you go if you are interested in something specific to be sure you time your visit correctly.

Very knowledgeable staff that provides engaging presentations of Shaker beliefs, culture and crafts, and can answer questions with comprehensive historical detail. The grounds are beautiful, too, and each building features different exhibits as well as opportunities to interact with Shaker life from animal husbandry, to textiles, to the watery powered machinery, to Shaker songs and ceremonies.

One of the few places I hadn’t visited in The Berkshires and I was glad I finally did. Something for everyone of all ages here. Every aspect of the museum was perfectly curated, from the blending of contemporary art installations throughout the historical buildings to the gift store.

Loved it, makes me want to be a Shaker! Very kind and welcoming staff. Beautiful property, interesting exhibits, adorable animals. Highly recommend to go early when not crowded and can take your time as we did.

It was a rainy day in August and a great time to visit this historic gem in Pittsfield! The staff and docents were so kind and informed! Loved loved seeing and hearing the farm animals talk to each other! The blacksmith was very cool and showed us how to make a blade. Children can milk a big plastic cow replica, so fun!!! Adults will love the vintage REO car on display. Kids will love making crafts and everybody of any age will find it fun and educational! And the shop has lots of local honey and spices and much more for sale! A must see when vacationing in The Bershires!!

This was an amazing experience for my husband and I. We were able to create our own individual basket. The basket weaving instructor was very knowledgeable and was very attentive to each persons needs. Highly recommended.

Honestly not a bad experience for the ticket price. The recliners are a little shabby, but they’re super comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and all of the amenities that I used were clean. My only suggestion would be more clear signage, I found the layout of the theater incredibly confusing as a first time visitor.

I have always loved going to this theater. However, they have nothing to be proud of for celebrating their five-year anniversary here in Pittsfield MA. Upon arrival of the theater one of the entry doors was blocked off . I used the facilities to wash my hands. There was a sink on the 1st floor that was out of order with a soaking wet paper sign inside the sink that was 1/2 full of water. The theater itself was clean but the material on the seats were extremely warn & the popcorn was stale. We sat in the top row, E in theater 6 & about 10 minutes before the climax (end) of the movie there was an employee that was mucking about with a window directly above us. SUPER distracting!! Then I used the restroom upstairs after the movie before leaving & NONE of the toilet paper was fixed into the dispensers. FYI… this was a matinee. 25 year Pittsfield resident & I will NOT be returning!

Good overall experience, definitely dirty all around, and seats do not give the feeling of being clean. Management seems to reach out via Google to people who are reporting that the cinema is dirty, asking them to send an email - to report that the cinema and bathrooms are dirty. Weird. I know that it must be challenging to clean up after the general public, for sure, but truly if you keep a consistently clean cinema, respond to customers as if you believe them and want to improve -- and you do these things, then your business will improve, it's that simple. Truly.

The best movie place in the area. Even better than theaters in Albany! I love this place. So many great memories. Staff are highly trained and very friendly.

Clean place, nice staff. Popcorn is almost always cold but otherwise nice place! Also, as a fan I'd love to see more Horror or reshowings of classic horror films. Thanks!!

I LOVE THIS THEATER AND I WAS THERE ON SUNDAY 9/7 WITH MY FIANCE.. HE WANTED TO SEE "THE CONJURING", WHICH WAS A GOOD MOVIE.. WE WERE IN A PACKED ROOM FOR THAT MOVIE.. COMFY SEATS.. POPCORN ALWAYS ON POINT.. WE LOVE TO PUT RANCH SEASONING ON IT TOO.. IT WAS FUN TO GET OUT AND ENJOY A MOVIE TOGETHER FOR THE DAY! TILL NEXT TIME.. WE GO THERE FREQUENTLY

What a great day at The Common! No Kings Rally was Peaceful and enjoyable!!! Nice grounds and a terrific LARGE group of like-minded folks all about!

It's beautiful place to play on the playground Plus there is a basketball court there is a stage for Shakespeare company in the summer and there is lots of people everywhere it's a lovely one from place I moved here just to my children can play outside and once the cove it is dead everybody will be back out there again enjoying life. Pride in the Common was wonderful! The acts were wonderful and I'm really going to miss Boxxavine (not sure I'm spelling that right) and her snarkiness!! Lots of vendors and food but I wish there was Chinese food there. Looking forward to next year!!

Very nice park!The splash pad is also fun!We have caught the farmers market a few times.I'd love to give this park more stars but the public bathroom was atrocious with profanity written on the stall walls,no toilet paper or a way to dry your hands.It made for an awful bathroom experience for my 3 year old.

Beautiful park! They have a great, albeit small, farmer's market with great local selections. Just beautiful all around!

The playground here is fun for the kids, there's 2 playgrounds 1 for younger kids, one for older. the splash pad is decent, better than no splash pad. However... the locals tend to litter and leave dangerous paraphernalia behind. My advice, keep the kids at the playground / splash pad area. Avoid the gazebo, the field, and the stage area.

Love coming to the park with my son and playing some hoops and running under the sprinklers.

I took my team of about 25 individuals here and man was it a great time. The machines were all in working order and the view was amazing! The owner could not have been better with our group. They were professional, kind and really made it a great experience. 10/10 trip, highly recommend and will definitely be back. Thank you again for a great time!

We rented 2 pontoon boats for a large family group. Staff was super friendly and helpful and we had the best day on the lake! It was a favorite memory, for sure, from our vacation in the Berkshires!!

Perfect family experience. Drove up to the dock, super friendly and helpful family hooked us up with a great boat. Perfect weather for swimming and even a duck family joined us to swim.

Have rented from them for over 5 years now. Each time we have enjoyed our experience! The owner is great to work with and very accommodating! Over the years we have had to reschedule and it has never been an issue. Also the staff is very nice and professional. They will even help you carry your items to and from the boats. We had a group of 10 yesterday, and had the most excellent time out on the beautiful lake on the brand new pontoon boat ! The staff was extremely accommodating and helpful and we can't wait to come back in two weeks !!! Lucy, the Great Dane was admittedly my favorite part of the experience and I'd pay to just hang with her 😅

What a perfect ride! We rented a large pontoon and it was impeccably clean and basically brand new. The lake was quiet and peaceful and we enjoyed every minute! The staff were super friendly and helpful too!

Would be a better park if maybe they would redo it. The softball field is not in good condition. The playground equipment is outdated and from what I understand they aren't going to use the rope tow this year for that great hill they have. It has alot of potential but nobody willing to put the work in it. Obviously the city isnt willing too because it just keeps redoing parks that have already been upgraded.

It's a big hill! Great place to sled in the winter, even had a tow line. Not a ton of parking-- I parked on the street nearby. Great place to bring kids for a free snow day activity.

My husband and I used to eat their regularly but sorry to say it’s changed. He always ordered the same thing the braised beef with tortellini, it was taken off the menu! It’s a shame because we were told it was a popular entree, anyway the service was terrible The waiter came right away took our drink & Appetizers order and disappeared after exactly 6 min we asked another waiter to ck on it finally our waiter returned brought the salad and drinks. Disappeared again and my Chicken Parmigiana was cold. I don’t like to complain so we asked for to go boxes left and We will NEVER go back!!!!!

Best kept secret in the city. Free Skiing/Sledding/Snowboarding through Pittsfield, Parks department with a Working Rope Tow, that runs on the weekends in snow conditions 12-4pm and during School Snow Days. When the rope tow is not running, you can drive your kids/loved ones from the top to the bottom in your car, if you turn around in the driveway at the bottom. Hoards of fun to be had, and nobody even knows about it. It's a 60 foot drop in elevation, the highest in Pittsfield, and it is nearly 200 yards long. Equals alot of fun to be had.

A sweet little walk around a quiet lake. Was perfect for our group with kids of all ages. A stroller worked well, though I’d only rec a stroller if it has good off road wheels. The path has lots of roots and rocks.

Easy, quick open paths. Great views from the tower, the pond and swamps. Good for pets and kids. I like the docks where I like to sit and read.

We should consider ourselves lucky to have such a beautiful oasis in the middle of Pittsfield. Park designers did a great job integrating forest, water, and family-friendly trails. The trails and viewing tower are placed to give beautiful views of Lenox Mountain and the park's own landscape. Bottom line - a must visit. 🙂

Although the trails are wide, clean. I went there to fish and unfortunately I was unable to due to the fact that it's only for ages 6-14.

Wonderful short walk through towering mixed hard and softwood old growth forrest. Easy access.

Surprisingly beautiful and easy walk in nature.

Good for a walk, not really for a bike ride. Your never far from power lines or houses and there's no real signage that tells you where to go; only at the power station does it say no trespassing. There are much better places to walk and bike.

You're going to hate this place. Don't come here, I'd like to keep it all to myself and my friendly pups. The fewer people that know about this spot, the better!

A joke … unmarked trails never out of earshot or eyeshot most of the way of heavy traffic and power station and lines.
