Little Mountain Park is a sprawling 522-acre public park located just south of Mount Vernon. It boasts a 1.5-mile paved road offering breathtaking panoramic views of Skagit Valley, San Juan Islands, and Olympic Mountains from its summit. The park features 10 miles of hiking and biking trails, two observation platforms with valley views, and is a popular spot for hang gliding year-round. Visitors can also enjoy the stunning tulip fields in bloom during spring.
I really like this area. There are TONS of trails to choose from to hike and bike. Really endless possibilities from easy to hard, and because of this you pass very few people. There are 2 view points at the top giving ocean & mountain views. There's parking & facilities at bottom and top. Most trails are well kept. All are dog friendly. If you go to the smaller entrance there's a really nice and fairly easy nature walk trail. One of my favorites in the area!

This beautiful park feels much more remote than the few minutes it takes to get here from downtown Mount Vernon. There are pros and cons to visiting, however. Pros: As a biology student researching fungi, this park is a true delight in terms of finding unique specimen. As you can tell from photos, I've found a plethora of different species of fungus, slime molds, and native plants. It's a pretty quiet park, also, so you're surrounded by the sounds of birds, wind in the trees, and the few small brooks you'll come across. It's also advantageous that there are parking lots both at the top and bottom, so you can start either place. The trails are winding, and though there are few maps of them, they each run into each other, and it's easy to find your way back no matter. The views from both the bridge and the gazebo at the top are gorgeous scenes of the Skagit Valley, so even if you start at the bottom, making your way to the top is more than worth it. Cons: There are regular enough bear sightings that it's definitely important to keep your eyes peeled and carry bear mace, if you can. This park also contains trails specifically for mountain biking and are labeled as such for the safety of bikers and hikers, but that doesn't seem to keep the bikers to those specific trails. You'll find mountain bikers on any trail, and they don't always slow down and do always expect hikers to get out of the way, even on pedestrian trails. I recommend limiting headphone use to one ear or not at all if you use them hiking, so you can listen for oncoming traffic. The park is dog friendly, which is a major bonus, but requires dogs to be on leash. The con here is that many don't respect the leash rule, which can be frustrating to those walking with nervous or reactive pups. All of that said, this is a lovely park, and most people you run across are friendly. If you run across me staring at logs or photographing mushrooms, feel free to say hi!
Holly B — Google review
It's exactly 1.5 miles up if you take the paved path. Beautiful scenery and always clean, and they have a nice port a potty halfway up. I like that they also have trails for bikes or if you want more of a hike!
Tif T — Google review
Hidden in plain sight on a hillock overlooking Mount Vernon, this bike and h8mer-feirndly county park is simply fabulous. Even if you and the kids are not ready for a radical hike, you can drive to the very top, have a picnic lunch, then walka short ways to an observation platform 100ft above the receding hillside that offers a stunning northward view.
Roger C — Google review
Love how they have 2 look outs places overlooking the Skagit Valley, many trails and not far from. I-5!

Steep trails and beautiful scenery. *TERRIBLE SIGNAGE* Dual use trails for Bicycles. I'm 66 and made it 🥵

There is something for everyone on this little mountain! Endless trails with varying difficulty levels, plenty of biking areas, amazing views, even a dark and light side of the mountain depending on the time of day! Whether you feel like a cool, relaxing, shady hike or a beautiful sun-soaked walk through the forest, Little Mountain is the place to go!

Skagit Valley Tulip Festival Headquarters is the focal point of Washington State's largest annual festival, drawing over 500,000 visitors each April since 1984. The festival spans the entire month and encompasses various sites in the Skagit Valley region. Visitors are treated to millions of blooming tulips at locations like RoozenGarde and Tulip Town, offering a range of family-friendly activities.
Such a lovely place! After enjoying the tulip fields in past years, I was lucky to catch the daffodil season this time—and they were absolutely stunning. Highly recommend visiting! If you can, bring your bikes and ride from field to field, it’s a beautiful and relaxing way to take it all in. Just remember you can’t go inside the fields and keep your pups on a tight leash and can’t run in the field. We stood by the field and took pictures. My boy is wearing Louie de Coton cooling sun onesie with UPF5+ that keeps him clean as well.

Beautiful, tulip full bloom. Lots of people even on a weekday, don’t try coming here on sunny weekend, it will take you 1 hour to get to the parking lot. Best time to visit- and of April (usually)

I loved the Skagjt Valley Tulip Festival it was so fun, colorful as well as peaceful I would definitely recommend 🥰 we also met people from many different places around the world and people of different cultures it was soooo interesting and made us VERY happy🥰

Gorgeous fields and plenty of photo opportunities, such beautiful varieties of tulips and displays. (I do recommend buying tickets online for a better price or you will pony up a hefty $26 per person entry fee.)
Candice E — Google review
Beautiful place. We bought the Double Bloom tickets which grants access to both Tulip Town & Skagit Acres. Tulip Town was great (photos and videos), however, Skagit Acres was disappointing, especially since we had to drive quite a bit for it.
Humaira I — Google review
This headquarters is lovely place where you can get an introduction to the Tulip festival. Apparently there’s 5-6 tulip places u can go to, and there is an entrance fee. They will tell you about certain ones and brochures and things like that so I liked the info. There’s also a restroom you can use so it’s a nice break if you have travelled a bit to get to Mt. Vernon. One more thing, do not purchase a tour packet for $145. Just drive and u can get to your own tour. One entrance is only $16-$30 UNLESS u are unable to drive. Have fun!
Young C — Google review
Amazing place! I could enter faster with online booked tickets. It took a little more than 1 hour to look around

Gorgeous experience. The tulips in Roozengarde are mostly in full bloom. Many many varieties. Lovely staff. I went on a Sunday and it was quite packed. There are still plenty of photo ops even when it's full. Very muddy and slippery silt, wear boots and be mindful of the small silt puddles.

The Lincoln Theatre, a historic venue in downtown Mount Vernon, was originally built as a vaudeville and silent movie house in 1926. Today, it has been restored and hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including concerts, films, and community gatherings. The theater is also home to one of the few remaining 20th-century Wurlitzer organs still in its original location. Visitors can enjoy movies several days a week and experience live performances ranging from theatrical shows to concerts.
This is a wonderful venue. Built in 1926 it's close to its hundredth birthday! The seats are comfortable and there is not a bad seat in the house as far as the view of the stage. We've been several times for a variety of events from plays (Arsenic and Old Lace) to comedians (Henry Cho) to great music (Burning in Mt Vernon) to name a few! Parking is close by, free and fairly plentiful.
Kat S — Google review
I was blessed to see my favorite comedian, Christopher Titus, perform here in October. The Lincoln Theatre is an absolute gem! You can feel the history the second you walk into this place. It’s beautifully restored without losing any of its 1920s charm. The sound and lighting are top-notch, the seats are comfy, and the whole place just feels special. It’s rare to find a theater that manages to be both vintage and totally professional at the same time. They put on an amazing variety of shows and everything is run so smoothly. The staff are friendly and clearly love what they do, and you can tell this place is powered by genuine love. Even the concessions and lobby have a cozy, welcoming vibe that makes you want to stick around and chat. They even put 100% real melted butter on their popcorn, and as a transplant from Wisconsin, nothing could have made me happier! Whether you’re catching a live show or an indie film, it’s a great night out. Can’t recommend it enough!
Emmy B — Google review
We enjoyed it so much! Thank you for the amazing experience.
Jackie O — Google review
A cool theatre, went there for live music show though and the staff would not do anything about a really disrespectful patron who was making a scene at the front of the theatre for the entire show, and afterwards said they couldn’t do anything about her behaviour when multiple people had complained. Sorry, is it not a private business? You can kick out whoever you want, especially for disrespectful behaviour during a live music show. Would not return because of this experience.
Fraser M — Google review
Great venue & atmosphere! A wide variety of shows are available throughout the year. The Lincoln also shows a variety of movies.
Marcia R — Google review
Nice well kept theater. 92 years old and you can tell there has been some good work done to keep it relevant but also true to period built. Comfortable seats with legroom. Sound and lighting were really good for the event we attended. Concession is decent. Only drawback is their "bar". Not well stocked and selections of beer substantially less than they should be. With all of the good craft beers around Mt Vernon like North Sound Brewing they have the choices. Just need to get them.
Guy S — Google review
We rented the Lincoln Theatre for a small gathering for a holiday Mystery Movie Matinee. The management and staff at the Lincoln helped us create a wonderful holiday experience for our family and friends. It was the perfect way to ring in a new year together and enjoy one of our favorite films from the 1990’s. The assistance they provided made for a seamless and thoroughly enjoyable afternoon together. Rent this theatre…you won’t regret it!!

Roozengaarde, located between La Conner and Mt Vernon, is a well-known bulb producer famous for its vibrant fields of blooms and stunning display garden showcasing a wide variety of bulb types. The picturesque backdrop includes the majestic Mt Baker and a Dutch-inspired windmill, offering plenty of photo opportunities. Despite the increasing admission price and occasional crowds, visitors find it worthwhile due to the consistently beautiful garden and amazing fields.
First time visiting this tulip garden and it truly took my breath away. The variety of tulips—so many colors, shapes, and styles—was simply stunning. It’s like walking through a living painting! Definitely a must-visit if you're in the area. We went in April, and while it was sunny, it was still quite chilly—so don’t forget to bring a jacket. It does get pretty crowded, especially midday, so I’d recommend going early if you can. Also, parking is available but can fill up quickly during peak hours. Buy your tickets ahead of time to avoid long lines at the entrance—it’s totally worth the visit. An unforgettable experience—I’ll definitely be back! 🌷💐
Sour P — Google review
Absolutely stunning! The tulip fields at RoozenGaarde felt like walking through a painting — vibrant, peaceful, and beautifully maintained. I loved the display garden with its creative color patterns, and the views of the open fields with mountains in the background were breathtaking. Staff was friendly, everything was well organized, and picking up fresh-cut tulips at the end was the perfect touch. A must-visit during bloom season!

Beautiful, tulip full bloom. Lots of people even on a weekday, don’t try coming here on sunny weekend, it will take you 1 hour to get to the parking lot. BYU tickets ahead, it’s $2 less if you purchase online. There is a cafe but lines are long. So bring your own snacks and lunch. Best time to visit- and of April (usually)
Marta S — Google review
Beautiful and vast! I've come here several times over the past 30 years, and this was the first year I recall there being an admission fee! For 2 people it was nearly $45, which I feel like is a bit much, especially considering there didn't used to be a charge at all and made me feel less inclined to purchase anything from the shop or visit other gardens. Overall they have beautiful fields of unique and extraordinary tulip varieties!
Melinda T — Google review
A friend and I went to see the tulips right after the "season" ended. We got there right as they opened, and there was hardly anyone there. Because of this parking was also very easy. Tickets were $15 instead of $20 which was nice, though a lot of the tulips in the far fields were gone. An older woman that was working there offered to take a picture of my friend and I also! We enjoyed the flowers for about an hour and a half, and still the parking lot wasn't even half full. If you want to go, I suggest going out of season, and early in the morning to beat the traffic, lines, prices, all of it.
Holly W — Google review
The place has large acres of beautiful tulips in display. They have small gardens too which have a wide variety of flowers. It is very well maintained and definitely worth visiting every year. They have big parking spots with helpful staff working round the clock. The gift shop is nice too.
Nisha S — Google review
Absolutely breathtaking! Visiting the tulip gardens was like stepping into a living painting. Endless fields of vibrant tulips in every imaginable color stretched out as far as the eye could see. The rows of reds, pinks, yellows, and purples felt almost surreal, and the fresh, floral-scented air made it even more magical. It’s the perfect spot for a peaceful stroll, stunning photos, and just soaking in nature’s beauty. The gardens were beautifully maintained and thoughtfully organized, with plenty of little spots to pause, admire the view, and just feel present in the moment. A must-visit if you’re in Washington during tulip season — it’s one of those experiences that stays with you long after you leave.
Gaurav H — Google review
These photos are from April 17, 2025. Roozengaarde never fails to impress. It’s a beautiful garden with a diverse array of flowers that bloom bright during tulip season 🌷Fantastic for photo shoots, just be cautious that they’re very strict about not entering the tulip rows. Also beware of heavy traffic during peak bloom and peak hours!

Tulip Town is a fantastic place to visit, especially on a sunny day! The tulip fields were vibrant and beautiful, with some flowers in full bloom and others just beginning to open. Despite the crowd, there was ample parking, making the visit hassle-free. We enjoyed the on-site beer stall, food options, and merchandise store. Walking through the colorful fields was an amazing experience. We highly recommend it for a fun and memorable family outing!

Tulip Town is a must-visit for me every single year. I never miss it in April 🌷🌷The vibrant fields of tulips are just breathtaking, and it’s always such a joyful experience. I love going with family and friends , taking photos, and soaking in the beauty. One of my favorite traditions is heading to Deception Pass afterward for a picnic , it turns into a full day of fun, nature, and great memories. Tulip Town is dog-friendly 🐾🐾 My pup absolutely loves it there, and it’s such a happy place for both humans and pets. Perfect one day trip for nature lovers.
Anita P — Google review
The tulips of course are beautiful. The staff we encountered were friendly. It’s mostly gravel so if you have kids the stroller might be very difficult to push around. The prices for everything was a lot, 20$ each for adults. Children under 5 are free which is very nice. But to buy a singular tulip is 12$. They have food but a hot dog is 10$. I think it’s a fun date spot just be prepared for some hefty prices.
Emily S — Google review
We visited in April. It was a bit crowded, but everything from parking to the ticket counter was well organized. The tulip fields were in full bloom, showing off stunning, vibrant colors. We took a fun tractor ride with the kids around the fields, which they really enjoyed. A beautiful place for a day out and perfect for taking photos!
Elynaa_mgr — Google review
It took us about 2 and a half hours to drive up to Mt. Vernon, and when we got there, it was honestly underwhelming. We are a family of 4, with two small children under ten. There were plenty of portable restrooms, but the options for food and drinks were minimal and extremely expensive. The main attraction was the fields of Tulips that were gorgeous and in rows of different colors. The problem was that there wasn't really much else there. Ads for Tulip Town said it was kid-friendly with plenty to do. That is false. They are kid-friendly, but there was nothing for them to do besides the tractor ride around the field that took no time at all because the fields were smaller than the others in the area. From the road, don't blink or you'll miss it!! I was hoping for more, but it was an experience we wanted to do before we left. It wasn't very busy compared to the other fields, and I see why. Others have attractions such as petting zoos or LARGE fields. If you're traveling over an hour to come up to Mt. Vernon, splurge a little and go to the larger fields. You won't regret it, except for the parking!!
Jeffrey H — Google review
What a beautiful place! This is the first time we visited while staying with relatives. It’s one of their go to places every spring. They have terrific tulips everywhere! You can eat, shop, walk the fields or take a wagon ride. They are welcoming to dogs, too!

Tulip Town is an absolute must-see during the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. The fields are a breathtaking sight, with vibrant rows of tulips stretching as far as the eye can see. The thoughtful layout and clear walking paths make it easy to wander and get those perfect photos. Beyond the stunning flowers, Tulip Town offers a complete experience. There's a charming indoor complex with a gift shop full of unique souvenirs, and a beer and wine garden where you can relax and take in the view. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is wonderfully festive. It's an unforgettable spring experience that's perfect for families, couples, and photographers alike.
Gregory L — Google review
Everyone from the concessions stall, to the admission stall was super friendly, the parking was easy. The tulips are stunning, the field is endless- the red barns in the distance, snow capped mountains make it an idyllic escape from Seattle! For those who can’t walk much there is also a rustic tractor drawn option to circle the gigantic Tulip field! After walking around the garden there is an indoor beer/wine garden, cafe and gift shop to rest your feet before you head back! I saw a lot of reviews that mentioned mud and dust- which is insane because you are in a a literal tulip field it is par for the course. I walked around in open toed heels and was fine, saw a lot of people in cowboy boots or dark coloured shoes to avoid the dust. Also 10 stars for being dog friendly- my pup was soooo happy to be welcomed on leash!

Waterfront park with views of the San Juan Islands, space for boating & swimming, & many campsites.
Bay View State Park is in my top 5 favorite Washington State Parks!! It’s on the smaller side (which is nice!) with great restrooms and showers and a short walk to the beach. Each site has at least one “groomed” tent pad and most sites can support 2+ tents. There is an abundance of wildlife including a resident great horned owl. The beach area is wide and would be great to have a picnic or just watch the sunset over Padilla bay.
Joshua K — Google review
Beautiful lovely. Bathrooms in front of park suck, but being remodled starting this week for most of summer it says. Which will really suck for people all having to share one shower and like 4 stalls, which 2 usually say out of order. ;( I also got athletes foot from stepping on the shower floor. I know better too but left my sandles at home and I had to go barefoot in there. It sucked bad! But, the place is gorgeous, clean and quiet.
SwC R — Google review
Nice place to unwind and spend some quality time amid nature. 76 camping sites and 6 log cabins are available for booking. Beautiful views of the Bay from a few sites but a nice beach is across from the street, along with covered and uncovered picnic and day use areas and parking! Flush toilets and showers are available within the campground. Partial service sites and a dump station, charging a nominal fee.
Bindia M — Google review
But be aware of site 26. It's a booger to park a 22' travel trailer in. Let the ranger know and don't think they really care. The rest of the trailer spots look fine. Took me at least 30 minutes to wiggle our way into it. It's a sharp 90 degree turn around a bush that's hiding a table, that's hiding a tree, that's hiding the water spout, that's hiding the shorepower box. THEN, a steep downhill. And don't drive on the lawn! All this is while looking out the right side mirror. Ouch. Otherwise, park is great.
Jay C — Google review
Amazing camping experience. We were in the front cabins, which had their own washrooms, was heated with electricity and fridge and microwave. The ranger’s station has a full stock of items to purchase, including firewood for $10. They were the nicest people you could ever meet, was so friendly and themselves and volunteers keeps the park immaculately clean. The cabins themselves were clean, with beds for four. The public bathrooms closet to the cabins were closed for construction, but we can see how nice the new ones are going to be. There was also a few games set out in the main field for everyone to use. Best of all, the underpass that goes directly to the beach where the kids could hunt down sea creatures for hours.
Jasmine P — Google review
Just South of the park entrance about a mile, there's a trail along the shore of Padilla Bay that's great for running or just a stroll. About 2 and a quarter miles and then back. Do it in the morning, then drive to Edison 3 or 4 mi. away for lunch and a beer at the longhorn. Perfect.
John F — Google review
Awesome campground! Shaded sites & close to the beach. Nice recreation and clean facilities.

This is our first visit to this park and we already made our reservation for December. The camp hosts and rangers were outstanding, they even visited to make sure we have ice and firewood for the night. We found the facilities and our cabin to be very clean. The grounds were well maintained. We're really looking forward to sharing our happiness with our mom in December.

This little aquarium and research center is doing such great work! Worth a visit at least a few times a year to learn what's on the up and up, and to see what's new! Show some support via their donation bin by the door, or book a class with their amazing education staff! Images: Mottled star ray with tube feet and Green urchin, Mottled star with Red and Purple urchin, and Rubescent octopus with Vancouver feather duster worm and Vermillion star! Be sure to check if they have Grunt sculpins, Wolf eels and Painted greenling!

The Skagit Wildlife Area-Wiley Slough is a remarkable destination for bird enthusiasts and photographers, boasting an incredible array of avian species. The diverse repertoire of bird songs and calls creates a captivating experience for bird watchers. With its vast expanse, it offers ample opportunities to explore the natural habitat and encounter various types of birds. This picturesque location is a must-visit for those interested in bird photography or simply looking to appreciate the beauty of these feathered creatures.
On a sunny weekday, we practically had the entire area to ourselves. The variety of birds of prey was incredible, making it a truly wonderful and memorable experience.
F T — Google review
Stopped by here while I was in the area since I saw other reviews saying it was good for birding. I didn't agree on that front. Didn't see nearly as many birds as I would've expected for a sunny mid afternoon. Mainly sparrows and wrens, but also saw one heron. It is however a great place to run or jog. The trail is super long and has some side paths that go into the marshy areas. Dogs are allowed and the walking path is really wide so there's plenty of space to separate from other groups. I also saw some bikers but wasn't sure if that was specifically allowed (didn't see a sign).
Becca J — Google review
Really pretty scenery on a long out and back gravel trail. Easy walk. Lots of birds. When I went it was a nice windy day- the long grass looked like an ocean itself! Very cool. It is in the direct sun without any breaks of shade, so wear a hat and sunscreen on hot days!
Sovhan M — Google review
Update: Just visited after the extended closure. The elevated walking area creates a gap between you and the nature. The logs and plants used to be right at your feet. And the gravel ramp on the one side is super steep for anyone with any mobility issues, also, there is less brush and the trail is gone near the boat launch. Great views, nice walking trail, clean. Expected a bit more for the long closure. Sadly, the beautiful red Rose Hips pictured have all been removed...

Wiley Slough is a magical bird paradise. Never have I walked its paths without viewing some lovely PNW swampy goodness. There are flippn owls in the trees around the parking lots, y'all! Now, for some reason, there are some gun-toting weirdos larping their Duck Dynasty fantasies about and that is apparently completely legal. They will shoot your dog and be *super* bigoted. Just keep your dog on a leash and pretend they aren't there. Shh tell no one! This is such a local secret!

Beautiful place to visit, especially if you’re into bird photography, or just want to enjoy some bird watching.

This place is dreamy especially for bird/natures lovers. Dogs allowed on leash here. Restroom on site. Duck blind for photography needs and lots of walking trails.

Very beautiful place, particularly in the spring or autumn when birds are stopping by on their migration route. A well maintained road goes through marshes with multiple places to watch the wildlife.

The wine tasting at Pasek Cellars was an enjoyable experience, thanks to the entertaining and knowledgeable Randy. He provided insights about various wines, including chardonnay and unique fruit options. The winery also showcased artwork by local artists, allowing visitors to purchase interesting items. In addition to red and white wines, they had a good selection of port for fans of this type.
Unique fruit and berry wines a must try! Also a good port to try for the port fans such as I. Red and white wines as well. Smaller venue not around much else but a great stop when passing through the area. Wonderful service.

I placed an online order two weeks ago and have been trying to get assistance with it. I've reached out to the business phone and email and have gotten no response. I resorted to calling the tasting room and was hung up on. To date I have not received any update on my order, let alone a tracking number. Pretty abysmal customer service experience. I'd greatly appreciate a response. Edit: I do appreciate the response and for reshipping the wine. Just to clarify, 3 attempts to deliver were not made. I have a Ring Camera so I can verify this. Two attempts were made, but due to never receiving a tracking number, I had no idea when to expect the package and be available for delivery. I completely understand I need to be home to sign for it. I have emailed to both emails on the website, but have not received a response. 2nd Edit: I did receive the wine, I appreciate the assistance in escalating and getting this resolved. I won't be changing my review rating, though. I still never received any response to the two separate business emails that I reached out to for assistance. I never received a tracking number. I called several times to the winery with no one ever picking up. I did leave a voicemail. I was hung up on by a very rude person in the tasting room. I had to resort to leaving a google review in order to get any type of assistance. Lost a customer on this one.

Never disappointed at Pasek. We were looking for a gift for our pastor and explained what he likes. Theresa was right on it and gave us some tastings. We bought two bottles. Thanks! Until next time. Merry Christmas.

Leaving a review because like a reviewer below we placed an online order in May and have not received the order. I will say I have ordered online several times before and never had an issue. I love their wine especially the cranberry wine. My husband placed on order 3666305 on 5/19 as an anniversary gift, and we have received nothing well past our anniversary. We have attempted to call with no answer and emailed for staus or tracking with no reply. So I would appreciate some assistance.

The Mount Vernon Lions Club Roadside Park in Orange County, California (92648) is known as 'Surf City U S A' and offers a unique and welcoming experience to all visitors. The park, located in a different time and place, provides easy access to water through the Lion's Club water hook-up.
I love this park, there's two sides of it connected by an underpass. There's plenty of room to let your dogs run a playground on one side in a disc golf course that runs through the entire park. There is access to the river but it is a bit tricky to get to. We saw that there was bathrooms but unfortunately there were some drug addicts with their cars parked there. Other than that it seemed like a safe environment to enjoy yourself.

We stop here often. Whether it's for a place to eat an ice-cream, bring our grandson to the park, enjoy a picnic lunch or take a stroll on the riverfront, it's just hard to beat. A lot of picnic tables, green grass, public restrooms and great views of the river check all the boxes for the reason to stop and check it out.

The Mount Vernon Lions Club Riverside Park is well designed with beautiful landscaping. There is a long cement / brick walkway above the river that is perfect to wall along. The walkway is about 8 feet wide and has benches along the route. There is plenty of parking and is accessible for people with limited mobility. There is a minimal accommodation for bathroom needs. We loved our walk along the river in a peaceful nature forward area. I recommend visiting this riverside park.

Great affordable wines for any wine drinker. Warm, modern, friendly atmosphere in the heart of Skagit Valley in a beautiful restored dairy barn. It’s the perfect stop any adventure in the area. It’s especially lovely when the weather is nice and you can take a tasting, flight, or glass out on the deck and grab a bite to eat from Stella Sopra.

Enchanting little winery just off a rual, country road in beautiful Mt. Vernon. Situated in a real, old-fashioned, red barn with rustic decor inside and out. Lovely garden and well-kept vinard that is simply a delight to see. Great place to take photos and shop for souvenirs! $5 gets you three wine tastings of your choice--which is free if you end up buying a bottle. Cleanest and prettiest bathrooms in the area! The owners and staff are very friendly and hospitable. Lots of beautiful local art on display and for purchase. When we took an interest in one of the artists whose work was on display, Cassie recommended an art co-op nearby where we could go and see more of his work. --What a treasure that was! Great recomendation! We found some beautiful pieces for our home, discovered a new favorite artist, and meet some real friendly people! Just the experience we were hoping for on our vacation. The Tulip Valley Winery is a nice, genuine place to relax and take a break from trolloping through the tulips! We will definitely be back!

Stopped by this winery on a vacation in early May. The place was closed, but the owner came out and was kind enough to let us in and give a tasting. The wines and ciders were really tasty, and we had some great conversations! The scenery is lovely, and there’s an old car on-site that makes for great pictures.

A beautiful, and tasty winery just outside of Mt. Vernon. We stopped by during our mid-week tour of some of the tulip fields and found the Tulip Valley Winery to be the perfect pause. We enjoyed a tasting and came home with two bottles of their wine. The beautiful barn and surroundings (+ the Italian food truck when on-site) make for lovely spot to stop, relax, eat, drink and enjoy the beautiful scenery that surrounds you in this idyllic part of the world!! I went to the tasting room in Mt Vernon with my family in early May. The lady behind the counter wasn’t super friendly, but the wine was okay. Nestled in the northeast corner of Mount Vernon, Bakerview Park spans an impressive 40 acres and is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. This vibrant park boasts a variety of sports facilities, including three soccer fields and four little league baseball diamonds. For those looking to engage in recreational activities, there are four basketball courts, two sand volleyball courts, a disc golf course, and even a BMX dirt track alongside a skate park.
I love taking my two Pomeranians to this park. You can enter the park by walking through the parking lot and entering from the garage. I let my dogs run around to relieve themselves, and of course, I make sure to pick up after them. Then, I usually walk them on the sidewalk for some good exercise, which is especially important for small dogs. There is also a small dog park and a larger dog park, but I prefer to just walk my dogs around the main area of the park. It’s a lovely park, situated within a neighborhood, and it’s a great place to enjoy fresh air while walking my dogs. There’s also a local YMCA nearby that I haven’t visited yet, and there’s a large field next to the dog park. I’m not sure if it’s a soccer field or something else, but it’s a nice spot to let your dog run around for a while or to throw a stick or ball. There are so many different options at this park, which is why I appreciate the variety it offers. It would also be nice to bring a small picnic when the weather gets warmer. Just be careful when walking through the grass because some areas can hold water after it rains, and it doesn't absorb fully. Luckily, I was wearing hiking boots, so my feet stayed dry.

Huge grass areas for kids to run, trees for shaded spots for a picnic, baseball fields, basketball courts, dog park, skate park, small play area, seating, restrooms, drinking fountain, grills, very nice and quiet setting in middle of residential area. Huge indoor building with so much more offered. Lots of parking in 2 separate lots and plenty of parking along road outlining park.

Perry and Carlson is a charming shop in Skagit Valley with a beautifully designed interior that combines rustic and modern elements. The space features a comfortable, neutral color scheme and repurposed wood from the original shop for its furnishings. Adjacent to the store is a gallery showcasing intriguing art in line with the establishment's aesthetic. Visitors can expect carefully curated goods, including high-quality local and domestic products as well as unique vintage housewares.
Gorgeous shop decorated in comfortable, neutral color scheme and rustic yet modernist style. Well thought out interior design that takes advantage of the industrial space. They preserved wood from the original shop to make the counter top and other pieces, which perfectly fit the vibe and concept of the space. The gallery next door hosts some intriguing art that is in the same rustic yet modern spirit.

This is an amazing little store that is worth the stop if you are ever in the Skagit Valley! Everything is thoughtfully curated by a very talented and lovely family. It reminds us of the beautiful design shops we visited on a recent trip to Denmark. We stop by frequently to see what has been added to their collection as they are always on the lookout for unique and beautiful items to share with their customers!

I brought in a bracelet for repair after it broke just a few months into wearing it. The staff initially promised to send it to the maker for repair, but then I heard nothing from them for several months. When I finally reached out for an update on the status, they informed me that it had never been sent to the maker and they could not offer a repair. The employee rudely implied it was due to wear and tear since they had the same bracelet without issues. It's disheartening to invest so much in a piece only to have it break without any compensation or repair offered.

Wonderful local shop with a small attached gallery space. Bought a really great smelling candle, and some holiday gifts for friends. They have high-quality, carefully-selected goods for unique gifting. Owner was gracious, and there was no pressure to make a purchase or hurry up. I love this place. My go-to for gifts in the Skagit Valley. They have a nice mix of new products from local and domestic producers, along side come pretty cool vintage house wares. The gallery openings are fun too. I usually bring visitors here when they want something fun and unique.
Addis M — Google review
The art and the gallery was great. As a fellow local artist, I enjoyed the art exhibit. The gallery is clean and the exhibit displayed appropriately. However, on the way out, we encountered a very rude and aggressive employee. There was confusion with the sign about masks. It stated that, in order to shop in the store, one had to wear a mask. There was no such directive about the gallery, aside from max capacity of 13 people. Our group was in number of three. We respected that and waited to go inside. When we did go in, there were only 3 people in the gallery. We were in there for roughly 30 minutes, with nobody approaching us about masks. Our group even maintained the "6 ft rule." We were polite and respectful of others. As we were leaving, a "gentleman" suddenly started being very rude, demanding us to leave immediately, due to lack of masks. We only knew he worked there because he mentioned the phrase, "... our store." I apologized and calmly stated the confusion with the sign. He interjected harshly and, raising his voice more and taking an aggressive posture, told us to leave immediately. Honestly, I smiled at his sudden posing. I did not take kindly to his disrespectful nature toward my mother and my wife. As my wife, my mother, and I were leaving, he was glaring at me the whole time. If this person approached us in a respectful and courteous manner, this review would have been a better outcome. If he had asked us to put on masks or provided masks, we would have done so. As an artist, I would not display my works here, knowing how rude this staff member is to customers... especially to ones who unintentionally cause "harm" and apologize for it. It isn't wise to judge without sound evidence or proof of malice. As a customer, I would not come back due to his threatening nature toward others, including women. Granted, I do not know if there was an issue before we arrived, but we were not privy to that knowledge. All I know is that this individual needs some customer service training.

I called the Joe, the owner of Skagit City Trucking School around February of this year (2024). Joe was so enthusiastic and attentive to all of my questions and concerns regarding getting enrolled as a student at SCTS. I then got enrolled and started my 4 week trucking school at Skagit City Trucking this year in April and I had not a blast learning how to drive CDL-A class trucks but I learned so much from every instructor Joe had at the school. The awesome thing about the CDL program Joe has at Skagit City Trucking is the uniqueness each driving instructor has and how each one has there own style and motivation to teach guys like myself and other students how to efficiently, safely & operate these massive trucks both while in the road and off the road. One instructor that spent a ton of time and effort making sure I learned how to drive and what the functions of the entire truck were… is a gentleman by the name of Cristian. Cristian was very knowledgeable as were all other instructors and he challenged me in every way with discipline and motivation. Thank you Skagit City Trucking for assisting me in getting my career started as a professional and safe driver out here on the road. 🚛
