Nestled in a serene valley, Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa has been a local favorite since 1895. It offers an array of wellness experiences, including massages and water therapy, all connected to mineral springs. Whether you prefer private or social bathing, the bathhouse accommodates your schedule. Additionally, on-site private villas at Hepburn Retreat or Hepburn Escape provide further relaxation options. Nature lovers can explore nearby walking trails like Sailors Falls and Central Springs Reserve.
I would just like to say my partner and my kids (aged 10 & 8) went here for the first time ever! Thank you for making us feel welcome. We told the kids before; this is a relaxing place. Not a public pool. From the moment we walked in. The staff were already expecting us and made us feel more than welcome. I had already pre booked and the staff mentioned us all by name, offered us a locker for an extra $7.50. For our clothes and phones. We had a lovely staff member/ life guard give us the run down of the bath house and spa. Which was very helpful. YES it’s unisexes pools, spa and change rooms. Everyone in our experience was very respectful & patient. And most of the people did not mind the kids being there. We had 90 minutes from the moment we got into the water. Thank you to the staff and the fellow patrons ( who didn’t mind a with us chat with the kids) you relaxed us all. Can’t wait to come back again and just float in that gorgeous water
Kase B — Google review
Mixed reaction here. Pools and spa were great, but there wasn't really enough space for the volume of people. One pool for basic entry, pay extra for the other 3 pools and sauna. Per earlier the pools are beautiful: fresh, different temps, one with beds to lie in the water, very clean facilities. But the pools themselves fit about 10 ppl in before you're feeling crowded, which took away from the relaxation side of things. Recommended trying it to see if it works for you.
Corey B — Google review
Disappointing experience. I have been wanting to come here for years and it was such a let down. The communal space is too small for the volume of people they allow in at a given time. It's advertised as a relaxation haven, but instead it had more of a local pool feel. There were too many children splashing around and jumping in. We visited off peak too. I'm a mother myself and am positive towards allowing children in, but perhaps have an adults only section that doesn't cost double the price. The staff assume you have been before and were vague and disinterested. There were no cups at the hydrating station and no lifeguards/staff to be seen to ask if they could refill them. The only positives are the tranquil setting, nestled deep in Hepburn and the bathrooms are clean and well stocked with essentials. Save your money and go to Peninsula Hot Springs instead. Same price and way better value for money.
Caitlin C — Google review
Very disappointed with this experience! Do not recommend it at all! Very overpriced for what they got to offer! Water temperature was just like the local swimming pool. Only 1 slightly larger and 1 small pool to choose from. No outdoor spa, no cold plunge pool. Paid $60 for the same experience that could have been much less to go to a public swimming pool, not relaxing, not hot at all. Only 1 change room for male and female together! It was ridiculously awkward and weird! The conditioner bottle was totally empty, it shows that no one maintain or clean the area for days. I'm just glad that I only wasted $60 without choosing any other package as they can't even uphold the most basic general experience.
Cassalamski — Google review
Unfortunately disappointed in my experience here. You are paying a pretty large fee for use of what is in effect 1 heated pool and 1 hot tub that due to the large volume of people they allow access to at one time doesn’t allow for a calming or relaxing experience. Whilst I respect the decision to allow children access I do feel it would be appropriate to have an adult only of child friendly zone. In comparison to other bath house experience I’ve had for a similar price point I’ve found this one lack luster.
Adelaide D — Google review
Well worth the trip to relax and enjoy this beautiful setting. Very friendly and welcoming staff added to the overall experience in the mineral spa. We didn’t stay in the hotel but had a pleasant experience in the spa. Thank you for having us
Luke F — Google review
My sister and I had the most relaxing weekend away at Hepburn. We both started with a treatment at the spa, where we were treated to the best facial we've ever had. I have sensitive skin, so facials can be hit and miss, but none of the products irritated my skin, which was great. We then had a 90min bathing session, followed by a wander through the spa apothecary. Here, Michael was absolutely amazing, and helped us concoct our own bath scrub and bath soak. I can't rate this experience highly enough! The rest of our weekend was equally as relaxing, with a stay in one of the escape villas and dinner at a local restaurant. If you're in need of rejuvenation, Hepburn Bathhouse and Spa will not disappoint!
Catherine — Google review
We had the most amazing weekend at the bathhouse. The room was beautiful! Staff were friendly and welcoming. The bathhouse pools and spas were glorious. I can not fault any part of our experience. We didn’t want to leave.

Bodies of Water
Lake Daylesford, completed in 1930, is a picturesque man-made lake offering various attractions such as a restaurant, playground, picnic areas, and footpaths. The renowned Lakehouse features a celebrated restaurant and luxury boutique hotel with rooms and suites boasting views of the lake or garden. Additionally, it houses the esteemed Lake House Cooking School set amidst six acres of beautiful gardens bordering serene Lake Daylesford and the Wombat State Forest.
I'm still in awe of this beautiful relaxing and peaceful lake. The views are calming, they have different seating areas, they have a playground, place to do bbq if you like, also they have a little cafe that sells coffee and icecream. I loved this area. The videos will show you what I'm talking about.
Sue — Google review
Beautiful spot for a walk around the lake. It took us about an hour with three kids in tow (one in pram). It's reasonably pram friendly, however, be mindful of extremely steep hills! There's a couple of them. The playground is fully fenced, which is a massive bonus!
Xenia W — Google review
Stunning lake. Great walking tracks. Well kept areas. But the little coffee place is terrible. The wait was ridiculous and I wouldn't think you could muck up making a peppermint tea.
Kat R — Google review
Beautiful spot fot a day trip. So serene... so beautiful. The walk around the lake is full of tranquility. A must-go-to spot... be it summer, winter, spring or autumn... as each season this place has it own different beauty.
Suvrat U — Google review
Within walking distance of town, Lake Daylesford is a man-made lake that was built in the 1930’s. On arrival, early in the morning, a mist was rising from the water. The picturesque lake offers a ‘peace mile’ walking track which is almost 3 k’s long. There is also plenty to do here, swimming, fishing and birdwatching. There is a playground, paddleboats (but I don’t think they have seen much action for a while) BBQ’s and table and chairs. Food, coffee and comfort facilities onsite too. Well worth a visit if you are in town

Nice, calm, and peaceful scenery 😌 Guards your food. The ducks in the lake can be naughty! 👀 I visited on a Monday summer night with friends around 4.30ish. There were only us on the deck. It was perfect day to chill. Lovely place.

One of the most popular and photogenic place in Daylesford. This place is stunning 😍 in Autumn 🍂 with the beautiful colours. Perfect place to spend a day and relax.

Hepburn Mineral Springs Reserve is a serene leafy area where visitors can enjoy hiking, sampling mineral water, and taking a dip in pools at a 19th-century bathhouse. The reserve features well-marked walking trails such as the Gold Fields Track and offers the opportunity to fill your water bottle with therapeutic natural waters from various springs like Soda spring, Sulphur spring, Wyuna Spring, Locarno spring, and Argyle spring.
The Mineral springs reserve is like stepping back in time. Take a leisurely stroll around the springs. Pump the different mineral waters out of the ground and sample the waters. Stop at the Pavilion for a hot or cold drink or visit The Bath house for a lovely massage or soak in the pools. Take a picnic or cook up a BBQ. There's something for everyone here if you are looking for a beautiful relaxing day.

Calm and serene place. Kids loved the small park, lake, tall trees….loved the place

A great place to take a long stroll with the family while taking in the beautiful nature
Adelaide G — Google review
Good place for hiking and BBQ, but there are basically no signs of trails, it's hard to navigate.
Borui Z — Google review
We booked the family in for the family area and were very disappointed by the cost of the session, the lack of private changing areas and how busy the area was. We have been to a few spas and this one was well overpriced for the limited services. They need to visit Rye on the Mornington Peninsula and see how you should set up your business.
Gordon M — Google review
It's such a beautiful place, especially in autumn, with a colorful nature! The picnic area was really good with a few barbecues and benches. The toilets were clean and had hand wash soap. Overall, I absolutely enjoyed my trip to this beautiful park! It was a great chill day!
Leila R — Google review
Beautiful park with free natural springs with which you can pump to fill up your water bottles. Apparently they date back to a period of drought where they had to bore drinking water in the 1930s' , though all the original taps were replaced in 2007. There are a few nature walks to more distant springs, however there are three or four within close walking distance of parking.

Easily accessible from carpark. Wide paths with 3 springs available. Great place for the kids and dog friendly. Bbq & picnic tables available. Bins available. Doggy bags next to bins. Public Toilet available

The Daylesford Sunday Market is a long-standing tradition, featuring over 130 stalls selling a variety of items such as antiques, plants, produce, jewelry, and clothing. It's run by volunteers from non-profit organizations and has been a popular spot for over 40 years. Visitors can find fresh produce, handmade goods, local art, and even enjoy petting pens with billy goats, puppies, bunnies and chickens.
Such a great market. Great food and shops with all the flavours of a market. The daylesford gin and honey were good. Clubbed with the heritage train ride make a perfect weekend activity
Sanal N — Google review
Lots of variety, interesting artisan stalls, many things to try (especially interesting mushrooms). Very disappointing hot dogs from the red hot dog stand. Train ride to Ballarto was a bit of fun though! Great day out, even in on again off again drizzle! Highly recommend.
Debby W — Google review
I would definitely recommend visiting the market if your staying in town for the weekend. It does get busy so if your staying nearby best to just walk down. Great food options and lots of bric a brac. I enjoy hoping onboard the old train for a old time cruise through the country side. It does cost and you may have to pre book Tix for busy times.
Peter B — Google review
Located 90 minutes drive north from Melbourne the gourmet food destination of Daylesford offers a wide range of locally produced artisan style products. From gins to breads to herbs and flowers and even health style pillows there is plenty to choose from if you are looking for a present and want to support the local craft and community. Located centrally in the town there is good parking and food to taste or coffees. Combine a weekend of tasting and exploring at the Sunday Market and spend the night in the country town!! Enjoy
J N — Google review
Such a fun morning. We visited Daylesford for a weekend and decided to go on Sunday morning. We got there early, just as the vendors were setting up, so got to wander casually around with a great coffee. By the time we left an hour and half later, it was packed full of people! I bought fresh strawberries-delicious! Also, nuts and dried mango…so good I wish I bought more! Also bought some great kitchen knives. My friend bought a gorgeous, emerald green felt hat, handmade and stunning. Lots to choose from, handmade earrings, skin care, gin…then there’s the trash n treasure side on the other side of the fence. Rows of tables of fun bricks a brac, clothes and tools. Overall a fun morning with lots of goodies to buy. Seems like a great community event to support. Five stars
Sally K — Google review
Nice and sweet market. A LOT of people, but easy to park. Better go there early, we arrived around 12 and the coffee truck is almost running out🤣
Borui Z — Google review
Traditional Sunday market that we have never went for a very long time. There are over 100 different merchandise from locals could be visited. A such relaxing and enjoyable place to go in weekend.

Nestled on an extinct volcano, Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens is a picturesque showcase of trees and flowers. Established in 1863, the gardens boast a variety of flora including oaks, ash, elms, poplars, and cypresses planted over a century ago. Visitors can explore shaded paths, enjoy picnic areas, and take in panoramic views from Pioneer Tower.
Beautiful gardens! This is a lovely, quiet, serene place to walk or sit. I was disappointed that what looked like a lake on the map turned out to be a covered reservoir. However, to make up for that disappointment is the fact that the stairs to the lookout tower were not locked! Definitely worth a trip to the gardens for the beautiful landscaping, but don't miss the views from the tower. Great photo app for the surrounding area!
Jan S — Google review
Beautiful gardens. Recommend to take the scenic drive around the property first. Signs are located as soon as you drive in. It will bring you up to a carpark. Perfect place to take in the views, have a picnic, or short stroll to the wonderful cafe. Allow yourself a few hours or plan the day. Public Toilets are available. Beautiful walking trails amongst the trees, gorgeous unique flowers. Highly recommend the cafe for a bite and coffee.
Germaine G — Google review
Lovely little walk with magnificent trees and flowers along the way to a yummy cafe which located on the grounds. My son loves to climb the tower and taking photos of almost every tree there. We are visiting this place several times a year at different seasons of school holidays.
Alesia K — Google review
"Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens is a beautiful and peaceful oasis in Daylesford. The gardens are immaculately maintained, with lush greenery, vibrant flowers, and stunning views over the town. The walk to the top of the hill offers panoramic vistas, making it a perfect spot for a leisurely stroll or a picnic. The historical significance of the gardens adds to the charm, and the on-site café is a great place to grab a coffee while soaking in the surroundings. Whether you're a nature lover or just looking for a relaxing day out, Wombat Hill is definitely worth a visit!"
Siva A — Google review
If you in Daylesford, go and see this little botanic garden. A little bit neglected but just in the right way to make your mind wander... Go on a quiet evening and watch the sunset or marvel at some of the big feature trees. Don't forget to walk through the fernery below the car park...

Very pleasant surroundings. Scenic drive. Tower walk. Cafe. Plenty of parking. BBQ shed. Facilities. Short walk to cafe. Oh, they have a cannon, too.

The Amazing Mill Markets in Daylesford is a must-visit destination for vintage and antique enthusiasts. With an eclectic mix of items including furniture, records, vintage clothing, books, fine chinaware, glassware, industrial items, jewellery and quality antiques, the market offers a treasure trove of unique finds. Visitors can spend hours exploring the various stalls filled with rare collectibles and hidden treasures.
The mills is gorgeous. Being in Daylesford - that's kind of a given. BUT this is more than that. It's beauty lies in the wonders of every corner, the staff that are so kind and attentive, the fact that I beelined to a random spot with no thought and found the most incredible book I had been looking for since I was a child... I love this place.

One day is not enough to see it all. Wow . I totally love it. There's a café where you can take a break and a bite. The staff are wonderful, happy and friendly. A big shout out to Kathy who was The Cherry On Top. Thank you so very much. Totally appreciated .. You. Your kindness meant so much in a world full of grumpy service. 🎉🎖🎉🏆

If you’re heading to Daylesford and think you’ll just “pop in” to the Mill Market—think again. I had to physically usher my mum and sister out after hours of wandering, because we could’ve happily spent the whole day there. This place is a treasure trove. Yes, the vintage wares are incredible—retro furniture, vinyl records, quirky knick-knacks—but it’s not just a nostalgia fest. There’s modern giftware, a garden section with charming outdoor pieces, and even a cozy little café for when your legs give out from browsing. There are toilets on site. One moment I was admiring vintage crystal ware, the next I was face-to-face with a shelf of ventriloquist dolls that were equal parts fascinating and creepy. (Seriously, they looked like they had stories to tell—and not all of them wholesome.) Whether you’re a collector, a curious wanderer, or just someone who loves a good rummage, the Mill Market is a must. Just be warned: time disappears in there.

The Amazing Mill Markets in Daylesford is a treasure trove of vintage and antique goodies, spread over 6 acres with 300+ car spaces. Discover unique items, retro fashion, collectibles and more at this massive indoor market, open daily from 10am-6pm, with an onsite cafe to refuel"
Nuwanga M — Google review
This second-hand market is absolutely incredible — probably the largest in all of Victoria, even bigger than the one in Geelong! 🏺 Every section is so well organized, and you can easily spend an entire day wandering around discovering treasures. From antique furniture and vintage clothes to rare collectibles, there’s just so much to explore. The atmosphere is relaxed yet full of life, with friendly stall owners and lots of hidden gems waiting to be found. Whether you’re a serious collector or just love browsing unique finds, this place is an absolute must-visit when you come to Daylesford. Trust me, you won’t leave empty-handed — or disappointed!
Holiday L — Google review
Full of many treasurers . Lots of books, furniture, bric a brac , anything you can imagine. Great outdoor garden nursery full of plants and other surprises.
Wayne B — Google review
We visited these aptly named markets 7 years ago in 2018 and we had to revisit again. Being from Perth, WA - we don’t have anything that remotely resembles these incredible markets. So much variety and such quirkiness. We only had 2 hours here but easily spend a couple of days going through everything. We were concerned Our 2 young teenage boys wouldn’t last half an hour but even they found interest and lasted 1.5 hours before they got bored and wanted out. Thankfully the cafe onsite managed to placate them for a tad longer (although the sausage roll did take 20 minutes…) but their nougat made up for it and was amazing! Love the Eiffel Tower and gorilla out front! Will try to squeeze in another visit before we head home.

Located just a short drive from the town center, Daylesford Cider Company is renowned for its handcrafted ciders. The cidery uses 17 varieties of English-heritage listed cider apples grown on a local farm to create a diverse range of craft ciders. From bone-dry to fruity and carbonated, there's something to satisfy every palate.
We recently visited Daylesford Cider on a bus tour and I must say, it was an exceptional experience! From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed me with warm smiles and a genuine enthusiasm for what they do. The cider tastings were the highlight of my visit. Each variety was presented with detailed explanations that really enhanced my understanding of the flavors and brewing process. The staff took the time to walk us through the unique qualities of each cider, sharing insights about the apple varieties. Their passion for cider-making was amazing!

Went here recently on a rainy weekday. Staff were very friendly and approachable. I tried their paddle that was non- alcoholic so my daughter could try it too. My daughter did not find one that she fancied, but i’m glad that they also gave us a free taste of their non- alcoholic spiced apple. My daughter loved it so much! We took home a few bottles of it and so as their other ciders. I had tried the Spiced cider warm as well with my friends and we all enjoyed it! I wish bought more of it! We will definitely come back here during spring or summer time!
I D — Google review
What a wonderful visit we had today. We were greeted so warmly on arrival, informed that the ciders were all gluten free & choices for a gluten free meal was not a problem. Even our pooch Miss Rosie enjoyed a doggie bowl of water. The meals & ciders were amazing, we had a fabulous visit. Thank you so much for your friendly service. Kind regards, Michelle & Rob. 🌟

This place is beautiful and if you like cider and happens to be in Daylesford, you need to check this place. I am not a cider person but my friends enjoy it and they bought some to take home so that's a good sign! I like the pizza 🍕 as it's soft and thin. The staff are friendly here.
Yos W — Google review
Set in a beautiful surrounding this place offers quality pizzas, a cosy restaurant, friendly staff and if course one of the best ciders I've ever tried. The cider tasting paddle is an excellent way to sample them all.
Marios T — Google review
Great range of ciders, highly recommend the tasting paddle. Very disappointed by the pizza though. Overpriced, small and poor presentation. We ordered the puttanesca pizza to share, $29 +$3 to ADD anchovies (which is a key ingredient of puttanesca). Wood fired pizzas being served on a dinner plate does not match the presentation expected for such a nice venue. Means some of the ingredients slide towards the centre, should be served on wooden pizza boards. The base itself was average. Place has potential, but until the food offerings are reviewed/changed, I would only recommend coming for drinks.
Ben T — Google review
Visited in September but we’re still talking about the spiced cider and spiced apple we had there. Service was friendly and wasn’t at all busy mid-week. Wanted to upload a photo of the food menu as I couldn’t find one when I had been looking this place up! I can see that a sample menu has been added to the website though.

This is the place to be in Daylesford for cider tasting. We had pizzas, cheese platters, olives, a variety of alcoholic & non-alcoholic ciders for lunch. The garden was cute, wish it wasn't raining. Otherwise it would've been a great place for kids to run around!

Passing Clouds is a family-owned winery with a fascinating origin story. Originally started by Graeme and Sue, the winery is now led by their son Cameron. Located in Bendigo and Macedon Ranges, Passing Clouds offers superb wines meant to be enjoyed with great food and good company. The cellar door provides a laid-back space for wine tasting, while the dining room offers a communal lunch experience reminiscent of sharing a meal at a friend's house.
My husband and I had our anniversary lunch here on Sunday, It really did exceeded our expectations! The food was delicious, the team and the care they provided was outstanding. We were welcomed by Bern at the cellar door, and well looked after in the restaurant by Andrew and the rest of the team. Their knowledge and attention to detail really sets this place apart. A must visit! Thank you for making our day special.

Very pretty location. We did the classic tasting and enjoyed all the wines. We meet the wine dog whom is very friendly. Lots of spaces you can sit and enjoy the winey, Take some snacks with ya and buy a bottle of their wine.

Food is delicious - but the $75 per person 3 course meal is not worth it! Me and my wife booked in the 3 course meal for $75 per person expecting to be taken through the seasonal produce they proudly offer. We were served delicious food, but it was all from the menu that we added up to $138 in total plus a garden salad. We paid $150 for the two of us, expecting at least $150 or more worth of food. If we bought all the items we were served, we would have paid less? That didn’t make sense to us. None of the dishes were presented in a way to make it appealing either. It was just average service. We won’t be coming back unfortunately.

Food was absolutely delicious, we had the $100 wine tasting with the 3 course meal and it did not disappoint. 7 different wines all of which our lovely waiter Jemima described in detail, would definitely come back and purchase the wine we sampled! Overall a great experience and service was exceptional.

Have had their meals here quite a few times now. Always have to book. But it's worth it! It's a 3 course set menu. You can choose for them to match the wines or you can order your own. Either way it's a truly delicious meal. Never walked away unhappy. It's a We stopped on the way home from Hepburn Springs. A lovely little winery, you can book in for a three course meal ahead of time but we just stopped for some tastings. Tastings cost or you can buy a bottle of their lovely wines instead. I've been a couple of times and always walked away with a couple bottles of wine. The outdoor area is beautifully designed and is a great spot in lovely weather to look out over while sipping wine. Stopped here again! Bought more delicious wine. Never fails to impress and not far from Melbourne. More wine in the car.

Passing Clouds Winery Lunch Experience Exceptional Winery Setting Undermined by Logistical Failures and some modest food portions. We booked a 1:15 PM lunch reservation for a pax of seven, understanding the conditions of the pre-booked, three-course set menu and the strict 15-minute window for table retention. While the tasting room staff were courteous and offered a sparkling beverage upon our arrival understandably we couldn’t sit in the restaurant, , the restaurant service that followed was an unacceptable disappointment, ultimately letting the beautiful Passing Clouds winery down. Significant Timing Discrepancy Despite the stringent 15-minute late policy imposed on guests, we were not seated until well over an hour past our reserved 1:15 PM booking time. This delay set a poor precedent for the meal and wasted precious time from our planned milestone birthday celebration. Failure to Deliver Set Menu Components The meal delivery and portioning were the primary source of frustration, starters at 2:25 PM. • Starters (Sardines, Hummus, Cold Meats): We requested more bread to accompany the dip none was left. Receiving just one slice of bread, cut in half, for seven people? • Mains (Chicken/Steak): When selecting our mains of 5 selections, we were assured by the waiter that the advertised sides (salad and fries) would come with the dishes, we requested the salad. However, upon being served our mains later on, we asked about the missing salad and were informed, without prior communication, that the kitchen had run out of salad and we were instead given carrots. It is baffling that a pre-booked set menu can run out of a core component, and that the decision to substitute it with carrots was made without consulting the paying patrons. • Dessert: The portion control continued with the dessert. For seven guests, we received only three slices of polenta cake. The 2 cheeses was similarly too modest, amounting to little more than a matchstick-sized piece per person. The ambiance and the quality of the wines at Passing Clouds are indeed beautiful and hold great potential. However, the restaurant food was delicious although the operations lack the organisation and professionalism expected of a private winery dining experience. The combination of the excessive delay was not acknowledged by the restaurant, the chronic lack of essential components (bread, salad), and the clear cost-cutting measures applied to the set menu portions severely diminished the value for money and ruined the celebratory mood. We drove a considerable distance and adhered strictly to the booking terms; in return, the restaurant failed to honor its commitment to the advertised experience. I would avoid the dining experience here until management can ensure consistent service, appropriate portion sizing, and reliable execution of their pre booked set menu.

We’ve been dining at Passing Clouds since about 2018 and have always enjoyed the food, wine, atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. I was aware that there had been a change in the team running the dining room. Unfortunately we were disappointed this time around. The food was okay as was the service . The dining room wine list didn’t have any of the cellar door wines and was full of vintage wines with a very high price tag. The 2008 Pinot was superb but I can’t justify spending $150. I really don’t understand why the list didn’t include more recent wines. I’m sorry to write a negative review but we were really disappointed. I do hope that things improve.

Lake
Nestled in the heart of Wombat Forest, Jubilee Lake is a picturesque destination that caters to both adventure seekers and those looking for a serene escape. This stunning reservoir, formed in 1861 by damming Wombat Creek, was originally created to support local gold mining during the bustling gold rush era. Today, it has transformed into a family-friendly haven where visitors can enjoy fishing for rainbow trout and redfin in its deep spring-fed waters.
Visiting Lake Jubilee early one morning we were treated to a mist rising from the water and a crisp clean walking environment all on a postcard perfect day. Just a few minutes from the heart of Daylesford you will find this beautiful lake with several amenities close by, including barbecue facilities, walking trails, canoe and paddle boat hire, a playground, caravan park, and café and kiosk. I was even told that they stock the lake with Rainbow trout a couple of times a year so remember to bring your fishing line too. Originally this lake was known as the Hepburn Goldfields Reservoir as it was the main source of water for the miners back in the mid 1850’s. I bet those miners would get a shock to see it today. Well worth a visit.

An unusual find - nicer than expected. A very peaceful 30-minute walk around the lake, with a lot of pretty flowers and variety of birds. Lots if ducks, cockatoos and some beautiful peacocks. Found a lovely bridge and waterfall too. Has a lovely camping area too and generally enjoyable.

Good place to chill. Gets a bit crowded at times. Go for the walk around the lake but watch out for snakes on warm days. And take your rubbish with you.

Went about 3pm on a Jan weekday. It was surprisingly fairly quiet. Swimming in the lake was lovely. Altho apparently there's no direct spring/ thermal water running into the lake, it must still have good minerals in it. My body and joints felt deeply soft after swimming in it. The walk around the lake is lovely. 😊

The Farmers Arms Hotel in Daylesford is a historic pub with stylish decor that has been serving locals and travelers for over 165 years. The menu offers a mix of traditional pub classics and elevated fine dining options, including a pie of the day, fish and chips, and local eye fillet mignon. The hotel is known for its support of local producers, featuring quality wild and farmed ingredients from the Daylesford region.
I don’t write reviews very often, I came here with my partner for dinner and we both got the Eye fillet steak, cooked on point and the red wine jus was up there with the best , if not the best that we have ever had. We will definitely be back. Really awesome food and great atmosphere.

No complaints about the food. We especially enjoyed the smoked eel, while the mains were a bit more standard/ordinary (but by no means bad). The air conditioning was a bit too strong in certain parts of the room, and we also noticed other patrons asking to be moved to different tables - I think that should have been an indicator to turn the cooling down.

Tyler our server was exceptional and friendly. The food was fresh, moist and tender spatchcock chicken. The charcuterie platter was of great quality and quantity. The chocolate tart was delicious. The only downside with the food was the chips, would prefer more of pub style and not plain ones. The tap lager beer was crisp and light. The atmosphere was okay, but the carpet had a smell and there was no air flow. In general, decent place to eat for the price range.

Beautiful venue with pleasant interior for a pub/not so oub vibe. Service was ok but the most letdowns was thr quality of food. We had the steak, pot pie and pasta and none of them was good. The most disappointing dish was the octopus entree. $200 for not so good food but if you are in the area for a quick bite and cool beer then it's fine.

Dinner on a Friday night. Staff were friendly and attentive. Cozy dining room, quite busy and loud. My husbands rump steak was over cooked, medium-well, even though it stated on the menu it is cooked medium rare… I asked the waitress could I have my eye fillet over cooked ‘well done’ to which she replied yes, the middle was well under cooked and more medium. So there steak cooking skills let us down. The cheaper wines by the bottle were ‘not available’ and chocolate selections for dessert also ‘not available’. We were asked to move to the bar area to clear our table, quite promptly, even though it didn’t seem too busy and we were happily drinking bottles of wine and spending money. It was a nice experience but wouldn’t rave about it.

We tried the eye fillet and it was cooked just how we like it. Portions were generous and cocktail was also different to anything I have ever tried! Lovely little country pub feel.

I really wanted to dine in for dinner, being fully booked, my family and I thought we would try our luck and just walk in. We were fortunate to be sat at a table in the garden area, after we had ordered some drinks we realised it was getting quite it e cool and the mozzies were out so we asked if we could move inside. We were accommodated with no problem at all. What a beautiful atmosphere. The staff were really lovely, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The food was so good. You would pay a bit more than the usual pub, and it was worth it. We loved it here and would recommend booking.

Cliffy's Emporium, located on Raglan St in Daylesford, has a rich history dating back to the 1950s when it was a bustling general store known for its wide variety of produce, groceries, and farm supplies. The charming timber and corrugated iron building has been carefully preserved over the years.
We visited around 2.20pm on 28/09/2025 and was told the kitchen was closing in 5mins and the café will close at 3pm so we quickly ordered cliffy’s benedict, daylesford dog, Stake sandwich & a coffee. The place is very cosy and beautifully decorated and before long the food came to our table. The food was really good but a bit expensive I believe.

Cliffy's is a must stop when visiting Daylesford. The food and coffee were delicious. simple menu, but the meals are made to perfection, and very filling. It is an experience. The staff are super friendly, and welcoming. The ambience was unique and charming, a slice of history. Gift shop within the cafe. It is Recommended to make a booking ahead of time or order a head, it gets very busy, very quick, but it is well worth the wait. Will definitely return.

The Mineral Spa is a bathhouse with indoor facilities and no outdoor access. It offers shared change rooms and showers, which are clean and well-maintained. However, the limited number of pools can make it difficult for guests to find a relaxing spot at times. Despite this, visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and friendly staff. The spa features amenities such as cold plunge pool, mineral spas, steam room, sauna room, infrared room, and indoor/outdoor lounging areas.
We thoroughly enjoyed the hot and cold mineral water baths, followed by sauna and steam room, while sipping on a variety of herbal tea blends. We were at ease as we were givenI lockers to place all our personals and valuables, freeing our minds to enjoy our experience. The bathrobes were very comfortable and luxurious. Finally showering using quality essential oil shampoo, conditioner and body wash, followed by an essential oils body moisturiser. We felt rejuvenated and energetic on our way out.
Lamis R — Google review
We booked in for a 90 min aqua retreat bathing and a 90 min massage/facial and had an overall pleasant and wonderful experience. The only issue I'd highlight is that I wouldn't trust their "mineral water" claim because our hands were pruning up pretty badly in the short time we're allowed in their pools which suggests it was really just hot water instead (if you've been to places with proper mineral water, you'll notice that you can bathe for hours in their waters and your hands don't prune up). Their aqua retreat section had 2 pools at 38 degrees, and a "cold pool" that was about 20 degrees, all of which has nice views outside, it also has saunas, a steam room, shower, a dry seating room and an outdoor sun lounge on a deck overlooking their well landscaped gardens, no toilet though (you have to leave the area for that). Tea and tap water available in the area. They clean the cups very frequently but I wonder if sometimes they just do a quick rinse because one of the cups I picked up to drink water from had remnants of tea taste around the rim which surprised me but also that could've been done by another customer instead. Price guide as of March 2025: 90 min retreat access $90 90 min massage/facial $265 (Price includes robe, towel and locker) Booking made via phone, full payment made on booking, no surcharge on card. Free parking available. All you'll need to bring are slippers and swimwear.

We had a revitalising experience at the Mineral Spa. We chose the bathing package that included 1 hour of relaxing bliss. Access to two spa’s, steam room and two saunas with a cold plunge pool. Tea and water provided, bath robes and towels provided, along with a locker. Had an area outdoors with sun-loungers and indoor sitting area. Perfect place to unwind and feel pampered!

We had a really lovely morning at The Mineral Spa. We bookeda breakfast ans bathe package. First we went to the dining room for a breakfast that we chose from a menu. About 8 choices, with yoghurt and pastries and fruit on our table also. Unlimited drinks. After a relaxing hour and a half we went to the spa. We were given robes and towells to use. There was two spa pools with a plunge pool between. There was also a sauna and steam room. Water and herbal teas were provided too. Three couples were using the area. We had an hour and a half or so in the spa area. We really enjoyed our moring. It was one of the highlights of our trip.
Lisa — Google review
Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We had a private couples spa experience first and then spent an hour in the retreat between pools and sauna rooms. The ladies at the front desk were lovely, and showed us around first and gave me ideas for the weekend as well. Session is limited in numbers which was fantastic and we basically had each spa or sauna to ourselves. There were definitely male and female change rooms at this facility. This was our first mineral spa’s experience and being a ‘bigger’ girl I was a little nervous, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Nicole B — Google review
Quite a pleasant experience. My wife and I paid for a couple's massage which was both enjoyable and reasonably priced. The lounge before and after was very quiet and comfortable, though as a taller man I could have used a longer robe. The tea and dried fruits were also a nice touch. They provide complimentary lockers which was very convenient. The massage itself was relaxing, and I would consider returning.
Elliot M — Google review
Our experience was not bad! I would recommend 👌 for those who would like to try it. We were taken to a private area with 6 other people who were also booked in for 1 hour at 6pm. There are 2 hot pools overlooking the garden and 1 cold plunge in the middle with 3 different types of saunas to the side. They have robes and towels provided. NO PHOTOS ALLOWED!
TK — Google review
My partner and I booked in for a private 30 min bath and a 1 hour relaxation massage. It was decent, however the spa water was scalding when we originally got in and took a while to adjust to a temperature that didn't make us feel like we were going to faint or be sick. We did have a good time in the spa overall. As for the massage, it was pretty good, my partner loved it, and so did I, but the person massaging me massaged the same place near my shoulder blade with an uncomfortable bit of pressure, and I tried to explain that it really hurt in that specific spot, but I'm not sure I clarified enough, so I don't really hold that against her... But as I'm writing this, about 10ish hours after the massage, I'm having a lot of trouble with laying on my back or sitting up. The spa was 4/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The massage was probably 3/5 ⭐⭐⭐ If we come back, I think I'll be a bit more clear with my limits Review Edit: I'm bumping this down to 2 stars, because it's now been over 12 hours, and the pain is getting worse and worse as time goes on. I think this is actually some of the worst pain I've ever felt

The Surly Goat in Hepburn Springs is a hidden gem among the dining options in the area. Situated in the heart of Hepburn Springs, this small and intimate restaurant offers a unique and lesser-known fine dining experience. Inspired by tradition, it is run by the same team behind the revival of Daylesford's iconic Cliffys Emporium. The restaurant promises Mediterranean-style cuisine with a touch of local flair, making it an ideal spot for those seeking an authentic culinary adventure.
This restaurant made a very pleasant impression! Bravo to the chef for the original dishes and amazing flavors — each plate was a little masterpiece. A huge thank you to the lovely waitresses for the warm welcome and excellent service. Everything was done with a smile and attention, which made the evening especially enjoyable. We had a wonderful time, savoring delicious food in a cozy atmosphere. Thank you for this place, we’ll definitely be back!

We had the pleasure of dining at The Surly Goat while visiting friends in Daylesford recently for a wedding. The décor is simple, fresh, warm and welcoming. The head chef Dave is to be congratulated on his imagination and skill combining produce and flavors to deliver some of the most delicious and refined dishes I have had the pleasure of consuming and the wine pairing was spot on. The staff are all friendly, welcoming and professional. It was the perfect place to relax for the afternoon and catch up with old friends. This is a must have dining experience when in Dalesford but booking is essential.

Fantastic meal, everything was soooo tasty, well presented and the owners so attentive. We went with the feed me but also added the chicken wing. I forgot to take a photo of the main meal, the wagyu with beautiful sour dough bread , or the wonderful dessert. We started with a beer and the averna amaro spritz and had a lovely Spanish red during dinner. We finished with a couple of cognacs to have with the dessert. The grilled cabbage, marrow and mussels I also forgot to take a photo of, which was a shame as it was superbly presented. If in Hepburn you must go to the surly goat!

Came from Melbourne and second time in Daylesford. Saw this place with great reviews but unfortunately we all had the most disappointing dining experience we haven’t had in a while.. I actually have not written a negative review for a restaurant that I have been to until now. starters were honestly terrible. Candied kumquats were overly sweet and could not taste any other elements but sweetness. The croquettes were EXTREMELY SALTY (you can see how much sea salt flakes on the croquettes) I tried my best to shake them off but it was still very salty. We paid extra to try the oysters.. the foam was bitter and tasted strange in general. We were so confused at the flavours presented and I saw the other table ordered the oysters as well. I was observing their reaction and I don’t think they were very impressed either. Then came the creamed celeriac. it didn’t taste bad but flavours were just flat. Main course lamb was cooked nicely but I was not a fan of the flavour of anchovy mixed with lemon. It came with super thick slices of sourdough (why? To soak up sauces?) however it was cold.. dessert was okay but not impressive Overall there was no balance of flavours at all for the dishes and we were so disappointed and confused by the high ratings Service was okay the waitress was friendly in general but did not ask us how the meal was at all and just left the bill at the end and quickly walked away For $98pp it was not worth and we have had much better with this price One of us was a chef in Melbourne CBD and he was also confused by the flavours presented that night. Upon checking this restaurant has an AGFG chef hat award and I don’t doubt the standard of this award because we have been to many restaurants with this award and they were all great so far but unfortunately this was not the case. Maybe we were unlucky with this menu or maybe it was a different chef.. but we won’t be back again unfortunately

Very bad dinner experience... we went there because of the good reviews but we were so disappointed... from the 3 appetizers, the duck liver parfait with a VERY sweet biscuit... the Sydney rock oysters with strange n bitter foam. By the way, the cauliflower cheese n truffle croquettes is normal. The main course was lamb, there is a piece of lamb belly and another piece of lamb together with the chicken paste which tastes no good... The whole dinner was not good as what the reviews said. I can only rate it 4 out of 10....

Just when you think this place cannot get any better, it does. This restaurant is humble. But it has every reason to be anything but. The menu changes every week (sometimes daily) and is entirely driven by the weather, seasonal produce as well as allowing the chefs to showcase their knowledge of cuisines from around the world. Today we started with duck liver parfait with fermented and candied kumquats. Quite possibly the best example I have ever had. Silky smooth and the fermented kumquat offered a twist but with familiar citrus notes. Other highlights included an entree of celeriac and smoked eel, a special extra course of scarpinocc and wild local mushrooms, but the hero was the lamb. Locally raised lamb done with preserved lemon and anchovies this was both gorgeous pretty but bangs of flavour. Incredibly tender, but the balance of the dish was spot on. My 86 year old mum proclaimed it as the best dish she has ever eaten! Paired with the one constant of all meals here - incredible house made rye and carroway sourdough with cultured butter. Service as always is friendly, knowledgeable and gentle. Everything about this place is gentle. Nothing is pushed or forced. You know you are in the hands of incredibly generous and kind people. And it feeds not only your belly but your soul. Thank you. We will be back again very soon.

I found Portal 108 offered great customer service. I purchased something online that had a fault and they were quick to not only replace it, but allowed me to keep the faulty item rather than go through the drama of returning. The clothing offered online is at a competitive price to other retailers also - so I would shop here again.

I saw all the 5 star reviews. Supporting local businesses are great until something goes wrong. Then you get to see the businesses real worth. I bought EOS sneakers online recently. The left shoe has a fault. I tried several attempts to fix it, but it was clearly a fault in the manufacturing. I called the store & was told it was a sales item, then told they would contact suppliers & call me back next day. I also followed up in writing. Portal 108 refuses to reply. In other words I paid Portal 108 $150 to be posted a rubbish item so that I can throw it away on their behalf. If I tried the shoes on in the store, I would not have bought them. If I had gone with the larger online stores like The Iconic, the outcome would have been different. I won't be buying from Potal 108 again. Shame on you for your lack of accountability. 4/7/24 In reply to Portal 108 response on 3/7/24, I don't owe you an explanation as to why I didn't immediately wear the shoes I originally bought to wear for winter. Had you bothered to reply to me at the time, you would have known they were still new. Regardless, the lesson is I won't be buying online from a small business like Portal 108 again, and despite your glowing endorsement I will not be buying EOS shoes in the future.

Don’t recommend this retailer, they don’t offer refunds or even store credit when a product is on sale. Very difficult when shopping online, as other reviews have said go with The Iconic or similar where the customer service is excellent.

Our visit to The Boathouse Daylesford was memorable. Every dish was beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly crafted with care. The lakeside setting added to the charm, and the service was warm, attentive, and professional. A perfect spot for a special meal — highly recommend.

We were looking for an interesting menu for our Wedding Anniversary lunch , on reading Daylesford Boathouses table offerings online, we were excited by what read and with great anticipation made a booking in advance with high hopes of our celebration to come .. Not only were our expectations met they were well and truly exceeded.. The service was amazing and personal, the food sublime, with the balance of ingredients in each dish bringing the taste sensations to life , the presentation of each meal was superb and the afternoon hummed along at a delightful tempo.. In our opinion these talented chefs here could easily hold their own in the very best of iconic restaurants worldwide .. This is a hidden gem, who needs Michelin Star restaurants when you have Daylesford Boathouse

The food was utterly beautiful. The options for the set menu are really broad and there is something for everyone. The service was impeccable and the staff had a can do attitude with a fantastic knowledge of their menu. Thank you Boathouse for having us 🙏

Food is good, just hoping that there are more vegetarian options. We provided the feedback about the time between dishes are too long and the response we got was because we had 4 course therefore our seating is 3 hours. I think a better service restaurant should let customer to determine the pace when consuming food rather than fixating on how long customer should be in the restaurant. Took photos between courses so I know we waited 30 mins between the 1st and the 2nd course. We aren’t the only one waiting around and checking our watches for time tonight.

Review: Disappointing Experience Masked as "Fine Dining" I recently dined at this restaurant with my partner, and unfortunately, the experience left us more confused than satisfied. Upon arrival, we were seated promptly but asked politely if we could move to a nearby table for four by the window. We wanted to enjoy the view and sit next to each other. We were abruptly told it was against “policy” to seat two people at a table for four due to upcoming bookings and because it was supposedly a “fine dining” establishment. We’ve been to many actual fine dining venues — this was not one of them. The tone felt unnecessarily rigid and dismissive. We stayed where we were to avoid a scene, but it was awkward and embarrassing. To make matters worse, during our entire visit, only six other people came in, and several tables remained empty. So much for the bookings. As for the food: My partner ordered the lamb rack, which was meant to be tender and fall off the bone. Instead, it was undercooked and raw in the center — not acceptable at any level of dining. I had the barramundi with curried sauce and rice. The salmon itself was beautifully cooked with a perfect crispy skin. However, the portion was tiny — easily the smallest piece of barramundi I’ve ever been served. The rice was filled with peas that clashed with the curry flavour, and the plate featured a giant, swamp-like bok choy (or something similar) that was unwieldy and unappetizing. A simpler, better-composed dish — say, turmeric cous cous and asparagus — would’ve made far more sense. To cap off the evening, when we went to leave, the front door was literally blocked by a red rope. Someone had to come open it for us after we paid — perhaps that was their definition of “fine dining”? I’m still unsure. In the end, it was a confusing and disappointing experience. Whether it's due to a chef lacking taste or an owner too focused on control, something here is definitely off. Sadly, you’ve lost two customers — and potentially more — who genuinely wanted to enjoy their evening and left baffled instead.

Great experienced dining in Boathouse Daylesford, Food was amazing, delicious, plated nicely and well presented, the quality of produce used was absolutely fresh and spectacular . Food was paired perfectly with the wine if you want to choose food with wine pairing. The staff are nice and welcoming. Ambiance is calm and romantic. Highly recommended for any occasions.

Romantic and peaceful place, my partner and I were really happy with the team and the service they did. We didn't ask any names, but we think everyone did a wonderful job. The food was delicious (we took duck fat with Quail, delightful with the chips, and for the main we took the duck with potato/carrot and the losbter with risoni, soooo good 🤤🤤) and the cocktails were amazing (Hugo spritz and the bee's knees, the bee's knees my god 🤤🤤🤤)

If you come to Daylesford over the weekend, you must stop over at this railway and take a short round trip up to Bullarto. There are only rides on Sundays. It takes 1 hour and the views are really pretty. You can stop over at Passing Clouds winery as well. This is run by very dedicated volunteers so come support them.

It’s is so nice environment with greens around and elegant place with well styled decorations. Staff here are very welcoming and patient to show you around when not sure of descriptions on the booklets which helps you a lot to understand better and find the one suits you best. Spa here are very professional and reminds me of time in Bali! Micheal is so nice and supportive and very professional. The spa machine is a must try! The famous and the best Micheal!

I am very shy and self conscious, and as such have never had a massage before. This morning, as a gift to my husband, I summoned the courage to book a Mineral Soak and Massage for the pair of us, and I’m so glad I did. Michael was incredibly understanding and reassuring as he welcomed us, and Lisa was so calm and gentle when she massaged me. Michael was not at all gentle with my husband, who requested some serious work on his legs - and apparently he got what he asked for! The treetop soak was the perfect end to the experience- soothing water, offering time for quiet contemplation as I gazed into the canopy. Will definitely be back!

I’m writing this from the rainforest surrounded jacuzzi after a sauna, outdoor shower and heavenly massage from the gifted therapist Michael. You should definitely go out of your way to come here. The property is amazing, the staff are divine, the restaurant is one of the finest in the world, and a treatment from Michael will leave you on Cloud 9. I’m so grateful my wife booked this, we can’t wait to come back! Michael is one in a million and will leave you feeling so relaxed and rejuvenated.

The ultimate experience From the moment I entered the Lake House precinct it exuded charm and tranquility. The spa reception area was a warm, inviting and aesthetically appealing place that resonated well with the entire Daylesford Lake precinct. The staff were welcoming and accomodating. The spa itself is exceptionally well appointed. The botanical facial that Jenna provided surpassed expectations and a was perfect relaxation treatment for tiredness and stress. After the treatment my skin felt renewed and rejuvenated, and Jenna assisted me with selecting some value added take home products. Complimentary beverages as offered was the final touch to my experience today at the spa. I look forward to returning the this magical place for a spa treatment and to enjoy some other experiences that Lake House Daylesford has to offer.

Nestled in the heart of Daylesford, Villa Parma stands out as a charming venue that beautifully blends history with elegance. Once an old Macaroni Factory, this stunning location is surrounded by other notable landmarks like the Town Hall and historic Post Office, making it a perfect spot for those interested in local heritage. For history buffs, the Daylesford Historical Society Museum offers fascinating insights into the town's past.
We recently had our wedding in the gardens of Peppers Mineral Springs Hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel if you're looking for a wedding venue. The Wedding Ceremony: There are a range of options to have your ceremony, both indoor and outdoor. However, I'd highly recommend the gardens as they look amazing and seem perfect for a wedding. The Reception: There are also several options when it comes to your reception. We chose the Villa Parma and it was perfect for a small wedding (50 or less). It is an amazing looking Italian Villa which, when decorated with flowers and lights it looks amazing. It is a much more intimate setting than a restaurant or reception hall that is too big for small numbers. The Villa also provides a luxurious 4 bedroom accommodation with huge baths in 2 of them. The food: We chose canapes instead of a sit down meal. This worked out really well and the range of food and quality was top notch. The staff: The staff that we dealt with were a pleasure to deal. We dealt with Di who, although new to the position, showed a real talent for the job and we could not fault her. She was extremely responsive and open to our MANY requests. We had a LOT of issues popping up on the day: from guests requiring special diets, delayed guests; there was even a guest who became extremely ill and one of the staff went above and beyond by driving her to the hospital. We greatly appreciated that. The bar staff and waiters did a fantastic job and were very professional. For such a quality hotel and such amazing food, they were refreshingly down to earth. We received several comments from our guests about what a good job they did. Little things like going up to the coeliac guests and letting them know what foods they can eat; and checking with the guests at the back of the venue to make sure they weren't missing out on the canapes. A big thanks to Peppers for giving us a wonderful wedding!

Wombat Flat Mineral Spring is a historical site with settlements dating back to the 1850s. The spring offers naturally aerated water, making it a unique attraction for visitors. The water is rich in mineral content, particularly sulphates, providing a true mineral water experience. The surrounding area is tranquil and picturesque, featuring a beautiful lake and abundant wildlife. It's a peaceful location for leisurely walks and allows dogs on-leash.
The old mineral water taps and area have been completely overhauled and updated. It's a lovely 3-minute walk down from Lake Daylesford. Paved with sottingcareas and picnic spaces. It's worth a visit!

Lovely walk around the lake, but the mineral fountain is non-functional and not really worth a visit unless you want to walk around the lake
Jan S — Google review
Tranquil location for a walk, with lots of birds and wildlife. Dogs allowed on-load which is nice. Peaceful area to spend some time, and nice if coupled with adjacent walks. The mineral water tastes okay, however the pump appears to be quite old which may affect the taste.
Kerbray — Google review
Nice little area for a picnic/lunch. There are bins and benches but no toilets on this end. There is a small car park. The water tastes funky. Nice area near the car park for dogs to have a little swim. Dirt paths on either side to walk/cycle around the lake. Wheelchair and pram/stroller accessible. There were a few ducks with broken/damaged wings, beaks, and legs.
Kay W — Google review
Easy access from a small carpark. Close to the lake and usually a lot of water birds around. Every spring in the area tastes differently but this one has a lot of iron in it. Will visit again.

Great country course. A few holes are very tight. Get a cart unless you love walking up and down hills. There are plenty of kangaroos to enjoy. Unfortunately, it has just been purchased by a consortium, so I expect that the cost to play here will soon be out of reach for the general public.

Nestled above Hepburn Spa, Jacksons Lookout is a charming spot that promises scenic views of the Hepburn Mineral Springs Reserve and the surrounding Hepburn Regional Park. While the intention behind its construction was to provide sweeping panoramas, over time, towering trees have obstructed much of the vista. Accessible via Back Hepburn Road, visitors can enjoy a pleasant viewing area despite some challenges along the way.
The experience of climbing up to be at tree level took my breath away, especially as I am afraid of heights and get so dizzy when looking all the way down 😅 However, I need to add an important safety pointer. The wooden planks on the top level felt unstable. They moved and looked worn out by the elements. I ask those responsible to secure the floor up there in order to prevent an accident waiting to happen 😢
Lamis R — Google review
The view was nice but the stairs and platform need to be updated from wood to metal to be more safe, didn't seem safe as some steps moved.
Lisa K — Google review
Was a cute lil lookout. Took a minute to walk up. There were potholes but no issue. Wasn't busy, was cute to visit if passing by.
Emily D — Google review
Good parking area and easy climb but some of the trees surrounding the lookout are taller than the lookout. The track up there from the main road is steep and has very big pot holes.
Andrew H — Google review
Road closed due to damage but you can walk up it. The wood panels are rotten. Overall the tree tops need a trim to be able to utilise this lookout more.
Peter S — Google review
A nice viewing area. Note that the sign on the tree does say "Warning Road Closed", due to the 'potholes galore'! So, take a 'strole' up to the Lookout Point, and then decide if you want to take your steps
Katie C — Google review
We parked at Bath house and walked to the Jackson's lookout. It was a good 15 mins walk through the woods to the Jackson's. However, the lookout itself has nothing to offer. Its a big structure made of metal that you can climb. The views from top are restricted by overgrown trees around it. There are no toilets around.

If you're looking for a winery to visit in Glenlyon, Attwoods Wines should be your first stop. From the parking area to the venue, you'll enjoy beautiful and lush surroundings leading into their impressive establishment. I had the pleasure of trying their unique and delicious wine during a tasting session. The owners, who happen to be a married couple, maintain high standards in producing blends that are both flavorful and enjoyable.
Had a great experience. We did the wine tasting and got a the cheeseboard to accompany it. We were well looked after by one of the owners and they took the time to talk with us around their wine and story. Would definitely recommend a visit.
Nick H — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A standout cellar door experience at Attwoods Wines Our visit to Attwoods Wines was one of the most memorable and authentic winery experiences we’ve had. The partnership between Jane and Troy is something special — you can feel the passion, the hard work, and the balance they bring to both the wine and the experience. Jane was warm and welcoming, and Troy’s straight-talking style may not be for everyone, but we found it genuinely refreshing. He tells it like it is, with deep knowledge and honesty that cuts through the fluff — and we loved that. The Galibardi Chardonnay was a real standout — beautifully crafted and a true highlight of our tasting. Elegant, layered, and absolutely delicious. What made the visit even more memorable were the personal conversations — we chatted about their triplets, their upcoming trip to Tuscany, and the stories behind the wines. It felt less like a cellar door visit and more like spending time with passionate friends who live and breathe what they do. If you’re after a down-to-earth, premium wine experience with real heart and character, Attwoods Wines is a must.

Do yourself a favour and stop here for lunch and a wine tasting. What a superb setting with the most amazing wine maker. We came right on closing at the end of the day and Troy made the time to give my husband and I the most incredible experience. We’ll be back.
Louis — Google review
This winery scores well on several levels, wine is good, location is superb, food and eating area clean and well presented but having visited 6 months ago spent $500 on lunch and my friend and I bought several hundred dollars of wine, upon revisiting the service was deplorable and probably not remembering me from my previous visit understandingly, was not happy that I only wanted to try two wines both of which i intended to buy bottles of as I had sampled all the other wines previously. Poured me a single very small tasting which I had to share with my partner from the same glass. Just shows you can get most things right but there is always room for improvement! Also looks can be deceiving as we own a hotel which promotes quality wines and guess whose wines will not be featured in our establishment! To add a recommendation, answer your phone instead of relying on an answering machine, personal communication is imperative in business success, Kieran

If there's any winery you need to be at here in Glenlyon, let Atwood's be your first port of call! From the car park to the venue, you're met with glorious and lush scenes leading into their amazing venu! Walked In for a wine tasting which was glorious due to their own wine being very unique with blends and standards being super tasty! A married couple own and run the winery and the wife of the couple (sorry I didn't get her name) was amazing! Talking through the technical details of the wine and where their grapes are sourced, knowledge was heavy and fit the flavours of their great selection! Get here asap as I imagine Summer will be a killer time for them!

Got there first on open. Knew what we wanted to. try before we buy. Fellow seemed put out. Two of us tasting only one glass offered, with a minisqual amount in it, when my travelling companion made it known we both were tasting he added a couple of drops more and told to share the glass. We bought 3 bottles of wine and left, at $191.00. Not bad, quick sale, minimal service. Disappointed in the reception. We felt like a burden and an interruption to their day. Last visit I'll make. My travel companion was embarrassed for me.

The Blowhole, also known as a diversion tunnel, was constructed by miners in the 19th century to redirect water from Sailors Creek for gold mining. This man-made waterfall and shallow swimming hole is a result of this historic excavation. Despite some recent flood damage, it remains an attractive destination with well-marked access and relatively easy walking trails. Visitors can enjoy clean spring water, serene nature, and ample parking spaces nearby.
Amazing day trip for a picnic with the kids. A short circle trek of about 2km. Very manageable for my kids (8 and 10). Just a tip the sign posts on the walk may have been turned about so careful the direction you head

The blowhole is worth a visit. I’d go end of winter-start of spring so you get the waterfall. It’s accessible from a carpark and well made paths and bridges. I walked up from Bryce’s flat and then did the Diggings loop which starts and finishes at the blowhole

We visited the Blowhole and were impressed by how close the main attraction is to the carpark. It would have been enough on its own, but we decided to continue on to the Diggers Walk. This loop was a pleasant surprise – a little steep in parts, but very enjoyable. The highlight was reaching the viewpoint behind the Blowhole, which offered a stunning perspective and made the extra walk well worth it.

Such an amazing place hidden away within the nature. Must visit on days with good weather. Clean water, soothing nature sounds!

Fun short walk to stunning pool and blowhole area. Chance to rock hop up to the actual hole through the hill. Then enjoy the quietness and beautiful gorge surrounds as you bush walk around the various loop tracks.

Beautiful small falls.there are steps so if you can't do steps.there is a viewing platform accessible to get to on a path for disability. Highly recommended for a beautiful area.. Moss, wildflowers, stepping stones, creek.

Litrally 10 minutes from Dalesford. Worth a look. Easy walk down from car park. Did one of the loop walk which made me realise I need hiking boots lol. The track is a track. At one stage I had to stop and figure which way it went over a rocky section. Easy walk though. The mining history of the area and little township is amazing. They did it hard back in the day.

Very disappointing that the venue hosts events after 2am with loud music disturbing local residents. Will not be supporting in future.
