Château De Pommard is a historic winery in Burgundy, known for its 300 years of expertise in growing Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes. The estate produces organic cuvees from the renowned Clos Marey-Monge as well as across the Cote de Nuits and Cote de Beaune under the Famille Carabello-Baum label.
Our visit to Chateau de Pommard was both interesting and informative. Our guide really seemed very passionate and knowledgeable. The wines very good and the grounds are absolutely gorgeous. It is hard to get into wineries in Bourgogne, this one is a very good option that has crafted a good experience for tourism.

Clementine gave us a wonderful tour, and in-depth knowledge that made this stop very much worthwhile. This was our 5th visit to a Burgundy producer, and added a good deal to our understanding. Their wines are all Village classification, covering 18 enclosed hectares. We enjoyed the variety of tastings, and her knowledge shone brightly. Merci
Joel D — Google review
Gorgeous Chateau and gardens. We enjoyed the tasting and learning more about how the soils affect the production. Our guide was very knowledgeable and answered many questions However, very small tasters compared to others we tried in Beaune. Welcomed our dog and provided water for him
Ciara M — Google review
We had an unforgettable experience at Château de Pommard. The entire property is absolutely stunning. From the beautifully maintained gardens to the historic buildings and picturesque vineyards. Our host Alexandre was exceptional. His deep knowledge of wine and the estate, paired with a great sense of humor, made the visit both educational and fun. And the wine was just spectacular. We truly can’t recommend this experience highly enough! Cannot wait to come back and visit.
Chloe S — Google review
We really enjoyed our visit with chateau de pommard since our hotel is not that far and we ended up buying few wines from there. Good explanation with different soils for different types of wine.
Jan C — Google review
Pretty solid wines if you ask me. However I didn’t enjoy getting “Pretty woman’d” during the tasting. I buy a ridiculous amount of wine every year. Dont have a huge collection at home but at least 200 bottles of very good wine. Didn’t want to buy wine to take home as it’s not easy to bring it back to the USA. Then asked about calling him upon my return and was told We don’t do that…only direct purchase in the chateau. Please….i won’t buy any of your wine but I enjoyed the wines you have.
R B — Google review
Our tasting experience was beyond outstanding. Our guide and Sommelier Alex is one of the best hosts that I met in Burgundy and Bordeaux; in hospitality, deep knowledge of the estate, terroir and wine complexity. This tour was life changing. Now, I have so much more appreciation for the Burgundy wines and Chateau De Pommard comes on top. The Chanterie 2017 is well worth the price tag and the extra shipping cost we paid on our luggage to the US. Well done! Will be coming back for more.
Tony C — Google review
Absolutely loved our experience at Château de Pommard! The staff were so lovely and spoke very good English. The wines were incredible and we absolutely loved learning about the Burgundy appellation and wines. Would highly recommend!

Maison Jean-Marc Boillot is a wine bar located in the heart of Pommard village, offering a diverse selection of wines suitable for various budgets. Visitors praise Julien for his knowledgeable and friendly wine recommendations, as well as the extensive wine collection available. The service is described as impeccable, with an emphasis on the elegant white wines. Guests highly recommend indulging in a full tasting experience and trying the local charcuterie.
Service impeccable, wines pure elegance (whites my personal preference!). May be my favourite Chardonnay producer :-)! Julien is just incredible, take the full tasting highly recommended and a must order of the local charchuterie (pate they serve is out of this world and the butcher that makes it is just up the street). Fantastic experience both times we visited (2.5. and 5.5.2023). If you have time for just one stop in Burgundy this should be it. Hopefully we will be able to return soon!.

Excellent range of wines, whites are stunning, and good value for burgundy. Julien is very pleasant and very knowledgeable about the wines, vineyards. Great c.mplace to have a glass or few and nibbles. We bought a lot of wine.

We had a wonderful tasting. Very informative and enlightened without being forceful or dogmatic; such helpful advice. We tried all of the wines available and were extremely happy with our purchases. Superb quality and excellent value.

(Translated by Google) Today for lunch, wine tasting with appetizers to "make you thirsty" cheeses and mussels with "pesto" - a quiet place where you can chat and taste or taste while meditating. Truly excellent wines from the Maison! Very honest price, we had the tasting of 4 wines and in addition a "reinforcement" of a glass of Puligny-Montrachet already present among the four of the tasting... taken because as the notice says "Boire un Canon c'est Sauver a Vigneron” - “L'Oste” friendly, helpful and competent. I would happily go back! (Translated by Google) The sommelier was very kind and explained things very well, so I had a great time drinking it. Tasting of 8 glasses (4 white, 4 red) is 21 euros. These are all Jean Marc Boillot domain wines. The delicate white wines were very impressive, and strangely enough, although the overall taste was similar, the different aromas of each were very attractive. After talking with the man for two hours, he gave me a service and I had a great time. (Translated by Google) We stopped at this bar by chance and ordered the tasting menu for €18. It was a very pleasant surprise. The bartender really took his time and explained everything to us thoroughly. The wines were very good and produced right nearby. It was a wonderful discovery. The only downside was the 6:30 p.m. closing time; we would have liked to stay a little longer. La Ciboulette is a charming restaurant located in Beaune, just inside the town walls after the Porte Saint Nicolas gate. It offers an intimate and rustic ambiance, serving high-end traditional dishes that are artfully plated. The menu is filled with local specialties such as pork and rabbit dishes, accompanied by delightful desserts like pears poached in red wine.
Top restaurant in Beaune, never disappointed, excellent traditional Bourgogne specialties food, very friendly service and nice atmosphere. We keep coming back each year if we go to France.

Everything was delicious. We were lucky our AirBnB host Sophie recommended your restaurant. The starters, entree and dessert were all excellent. We loved the snails and the fish. Thank you. Highly recommend.

Just loved this little gem of a discovery. Isabelle and the team of four that make this petite restaurante pop with flavour and tastes. Best meal and service I’ve had in France across the last two weeks. And that is saying something as the French know a lot about service.

Gem of a place that we stumbled on while visiting this beautiful town. Warm welcome, lovely atmosphere and fabulous food, not cheap but worth every penny. Would return without hesitation when passing (also dog friendly 😊)

Came for set dinner on sunday and had ham starter and stew duck which was excellent. Added egg in wine sauce typical of region finished off with sorbet. Good value. Reasonable wine selection range n prices

Five of us ate here to celebrate a birthday, so we were not holding back! The service, food and wine were exceptional and we were pleased we went with their recommendation on the 1er Cru Fixin with our steaks. Whilst not cheap, we felt our meals and dining experience was good value and look forward to returning soon. Thank you.

This place falls below the radar of most travel blogs, so it took a while before we noticed it. Outstanding food, including the best sweetbreads we've ever had - perfectly fried with a nice sauce and accompaniments. Also, a great opportunity to sample higher-end local wines by the glass, which is not easy to find elsewhere. So we were able to have nice Meursault, Nuits St. Georges and Cotes de Beaune premier crus.

Weekday lunch. High quality Burgundian cuisine at a reasonable price. Local wine by glasses available which was perfect for lunch. Both the veal tongue terrine and lamb were delicate and delicious. Very attentive and kind owner. Will certainly return.

Auprès du Clocher in Pommard offers a modern dining experience with its large glass windows providing views of the historic square. The restaurant is known for its avant-garde take on boeuf bourguignon, featuring beef cheeks cooked in red burgundy for five hours and served with whipped parsnips, walnuts, and Chanterelle mushrooms.
We chose the 5 course degustation and in addition to the amuse bouche and every course was an explosion of flavour and creativity combing with textures and technically perfect. A delightful space overlooking a quiet neighbourhood with the two owners working together seamlessly. The chef allowed one veal substitution on the menu and it was perfect! A wonderful dinner in Pommard.

I had the pleasure of dining at this delightful spot. The young couple who recently took over have poured their hearts into every detail. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, but it’s the food that truly shines—creative, beautifully presented, and bursting with fresh, bold flavors. You can taste the passion in every bite. A fantastic addition to the local dining scene—highly recommended. An unmatched value for money and of course on incredible wine list.

We had lunch on a rainy day at this lovely restaurant which lighted our day. The Chef was attentive, we wrote we are pescetarians and he created a special menu for us. Every plate gets full attention to the smallest details and makes a celebration of visual look and taste. Service was very kind and polite. We will be back for sure on a sunny day.

We booked for lunch on a Sunday. What an amazing experience! A hidden gem in a small village. The food was exceptional. Each dish was packed full of flavour and presented with elegance and finesse. Anna and the staff were friendly, attentive and welcoming and made us feel very comfortable. Our only criticism was perhaps the price of the tasting menu. We felt it was too low for such superb food and service! Thank you so much for such an amazing afternoon which we will not forget.

We have been to 4 Michelin star restaurants on our trip so far and this place has been our favorite dining experience so far. The wine and food pairings have been the best. They deserve a star. Not sure why they don't have a star, they definitely deserve one. It's difficult to find a restaurant that gets the wine and food right on every turn.
Adam D — Google review
Magnifique! Our experience was perfect in all aspects. The food was incredibly delicious. The service could not have better. It was our best meal in the region by far. Merci pour une expérience mémorable.
Demetrios M — Google review
We celebrated my birthday wonderfully at this glorious restaurant. Everything was terrific. It’s a small, personalized and celebrated restaurant in the small village of Pommard. As a wine lover, I could have spent an hour drooling over the most extensive wine. Our hostess/sommelier/server, Anna, was remarkably friendly, professional and had an in-depth knowledge and insight into the encyclopaedic list. The many courses were beautifully presented, inventive and profoundly delicious. Not only was this clearly a three Michelin star experience, it was also a friendly and fun experience. We intend on returning when we’re next in France.

Les Caves Madeleine is a cozy restaurant and wine shop located in Beaune, France. It offers a stylishly plated contemporary menu with farm-fresh dishes and an extensive wine list that includes many rare finds. The establishment is known for its excellent selection of wines, curated by an expert with eclectic tastes. While the food is not fine dining, it is described as solid, and guests can enjoy the option of reserving a spot at the big communal table.
Cozy, intimate and warm atmosphere. We sat at the communal table. We were fortunate to share the table with friendly people and ended up sharing several wonderful wines together. The food was beautifully presented, well balanced and delicious. This place comes well recommended.

I had a great meal here, wonderful little spot that only seats about 30-people. Reservations are a must but you’ll be glad you made the effort. That wine list is fantastic! It’s incredibly hard to settle on just one bottle.
Brooks J — Google review
The most amazing wine list. Had the tasting menu, food was great and clearly designed to complement the wines. Portions were small so you might consider topping up from the a la carte. Service was not particularly warm but that's fine. And you definitely need a reservation.
Jon B — Google review
I found the food lovely but not stunning or worth the price and our overall dining experience was uncomfortable and insulting. food: We opted for the tasting menu which included three starters, two mains and a dessert. portions were quite small. Hake dish included minced hake, minced to same size as the apples and potatoes or was mixed with, but there were far more apples and potatoes than fish, we had a very difficult time finding any fish to be honest. the other fish dish was essentially a doughy fish poached meatball, which had a slight fish flavor, served in a delicious sauce, but the fish was but an essence. rabbit ravioli was very tasty but was but one single ravioli. the other items i don't recall. value: I ordered two glasses of wine, they had 3 reds only by the glass and I was told the first two were natural (and hence "funky") so only one red was a refined option. our check came to 162€ with two dinners and two glasses of wine. we were still a little hungry. service: I made our reservations 2 months prior and we were the first guests to arrive when they opened. despite that, we were seated on a plank of wood over a well on high chairs, facing a wall with our backs to the other guests and the outside dining area, with no room for our long legs. it was awkward and uncomfortable. when I asked to be moved to an empty table for two I was refused. I guess we weren't good enough for an actual table? they also wanted to serve my red Bourgogne wine in a tiny ISO glass and take away the red Bourgogne glass from the "table". what the heck!? as I write this, I'm actually a little angry and offended at the overall experience we had and cannot recommend this restaurant, nor would I return. We had a much more pleasant dining experience at La Lune for a fraction of the price.
Elissa M — Google review
Lovely meal, pleasant but unpretentious atmosphere, and a very reasonably priced set lunch menu. The dishes were all tasty (and very pretty), but perhaps a bit more style than substance.
Emmanuel — Google review
Lovely atmosphere and what an impressive wine list! Great food and just a step away from excellent.
Linda A — Google review
Service was a bit snobby at first. This changed when the owner came in and gave a friendly hello to all the guest in the restaurant. Sommelier was nice! Food was really good. Had the lunch menu with a friend and it’s a 5/5 price/quality wise.
Mick E — Google review
This is a must if you’re going to Beaune. Their pre-fixe dinner is criminally underpriced, and is fantastic—probably the best in Beaune. The real draw for us, though, is their exceptional wine list. This is a place where the same wine on their list would be available for 3-4x elsewhere. This is why it’s very difficult to secure a table. I suggest booking as early as possible. The drawback is that being in summer, we sat out back where other patrons were smoking heavily. It took away from enjoying the wine. Ideally the smoking area is separate enough so non-smokers are not affected.

Birthday lunch with family and friends. After extensive research online decided in this place: there were 2 main criteria- great wine and food and outdoor seating. Loved the place. Could not have asked for a better place for lunch, especially a birthday lunch. Excellent food, outstanding wine and great service. Had 2 bottles of the Volnay. The outdoor seating is just amazing. We had perfect weather. Visited July 2024

Best restaurant.. staff are great, garden is very pretty and perfect for a sunny day but I loved the restaurant indoors as it was a cooler day.. so cosy, great ambience. The food was fabulous as was the wine.. I had the white named after the owner 'Natalie' 😋 Highly recommended 👌

We had a wonderful lunch in the pretty garden, in the sunshine. Great food, friendly and knowledgeable staff and of course a huge selection of local wine to choose. We were lucky to get the last table, so I would suggest calling ahead to reserve. It’s worth a detour.

Poached eggs with a burgundy sauce (œufs en meurette) that includes bacon, onions and mushrooms are simply a cannot miss here. Decent wines by the glass, but you have to buy a full bottle if you want the really good ones. Perfectly good goat cheese salad. Portions are generous. Service is friendly and efficient.

Cozy cellar in the village of Volnay serving a true French menu. The first part of the restaurant looks like a cellar is has much more atmosphere than the back part. Warm and cozy inside. The menu serves beautiful French dishes and were delicious. Kids menu was also very good. We will stop over next time again!
Patisher — Google review
Had very disappointing experience at this restaurant today. Was told would have to wait 20 minutes for table for 2 outside even though many tables, including tables for 2, were empty. My husband and I waited as group after group, including cyclists with no reservations, showed up and were seated outside. I asked the Madame again if we could be seated at the still empty table for 2, she made a reference to the Monsieur who had seated all the others and walked away. Having waited 25 minutes on a beautiful day, we left hungry and frustrated. This was the first of our 2 day visit to Burgundy. Needless to say, it left a very bad impression. Sir, I am now reacting you your response to my review which finished with this comment: "So before you take us down for free on social media, please ask!" I did ask, that was the whole point of my review if you had read it thoroughly. I asked when I first arrived if my husband and I could sit at a table on the terrace. I was told we would have to wait 20 minutes. As I wrote, we waited over 25 minutes while many tables remained empty. If they were all reserved, why was I told to wait? Why wasn't I told they were all reserved? Because of that wasted time, we weren't able to find a place for lunch before a scheduled wine tasting. Again, not the introduction to Burgundy we had so been looking forward to.

Wow. Such an incredible stay. Beautiful, quiet, cosy, classy room. I slept so well…Downstairs was delightful too; made to feel very welcome and the food was top class. Beaune is beautiful, and the market on Saturday morning was so evocative! High on my list to return to…

We had dinner on the ground floor. We were seated inside as all the tables outside were filled. Wine list was huge 😵‍💫 but was helped by one of the waiters. Amazing. The we enjoyed the charcuterie and open sandwiches. We had some items on the a la carte. They had a peach, fig and burrata salad which was the tastiest plate of food I’ve had in a very long time. The staff was the able to move us outside when a table became free. We didn’t even ask! Highly recommend.

We stayed in the 3rd floor loft. Cosy and modern but with old features. This 15th century building was amazing. The stairs are crazy but super tight and skinny. We didn't think would get our case up there, then a guy from the restaurant helped. Could be an issue for a lot of people but the history and charm made it worth it for us. Almost the single most photographed building in Beaune. Awesome and best location. Check photos

Probably the best wine bar in town when it comes to value for money. Paul, the sommelier is kind, friendly and extremely helpful. The food is very good and the wine list has a depth of vintages going back to early 00’s. I loved the eggs 63° as well as the amazing pistachio panna cotta. I would definitely be back on my next trip to Beaune

La Dilettante is a laid-back wine bar located just outside the ring of Beaune, offering an excellent selection of traditional and natural wines. The food menu includes croque monsieurs, local cheese plates, and salads, but the real star here is the wine. You might even find yourself rubbing shoulders with local young winemakers late into the evening.
A cozy tapas wine bar with fresh produce locally grown, knowledgeable staff and fast, friendly service. Be sure to order the fresh salad if it’s on the menu (we caught the end of tomato season) and stick around for a bottle of wine, which you can browse like books on the wall opposite the bar. Fab little wine and tapas bar with excellent food (best panisse ever) and great wine by the glass. Booking advised. We were unluckily seated next to some very loud people from across the pond but the staff were swift to move us and we had a great evening.
Gail P — Google review
Excellent food, great hospitality and a warm atmosphere. And of course an exceptional wine list (including lots of rotating by the glass options) leaning heavily toward organic and biodynamic producers. We loved it so much we came back for a second evening.

We popped in here for lunch, and yet again just superb food and wine to be had! We were very lucky to eat terrine, charcuterie and the sublime Haricots Vert in garlic oil - the best green beans we have ever had! All the reviews are spot-on with the recognition of the friendly staff and vibe!

When a pick from Google Maps turns out good you feel pleased. This is exactly what happened. One of the most sublime dinners. Each dish was great. The standout was the pork and the salad- especially the salad. Had some excellent wine by the glass. An Aligoté in white and a natural one in red. The biggest standout was the service from Yuka- thank you. July 2024

Probably the best place in the whole Beaune. Incredible wine choice, so big that you pick your bottle with the host, having a chat to assess your favorite choices. Service is straightforward, that shows confidence on how tasty everything is, you just want to discover more. Only good and down-to-earth people are coming here, we shared a bottle with a random couple next to us ❤️ can’t wait to come back!

Really good small plates perfect for sharing. It’s simple food but well made with fresh ingredients. Fantastic list of natural wines.

Mega good time! Fantastic dinner, super kitchen with local ingredients and very crafty chef. Goes without saying — the wine list is very impressive and a perfect match to the food. Very casual vibes inside, pleasant contrast to often stuffy Burgundy restaurants. Make sure to reserve a table in advance, it’s sold out every night.

La Moutarderie Fallot is a contemporary artisanal mustard factory museum located in Beaune. Visitors can enjoy tours, hands-on activities, and tastings at the facility, as well as explore the on-site store. The museum offers an immersive experience where guests can learn about the production of mustard and sample various flavors. Additionally, adjacent to the museum is Le Benaton, a restaurant that offers fine dining experiences with ingredients sourced from the region.
Great experience. Very helpful and English fluent staff. The tour is great and interactive. You make a small quantity of mustard and also do a tasting. They also have a tasting bar so you can experience your mustard before buying it. Numerous flavours available.

One of the best experiences you can have in Beaune! We were able to schedule a tour and visit the same day, and we were so grateful! Our tour guide, Oliver, was fantastic! He was fun and knowledgeable and had so much to share. A great place to try something local to Beaune and a place where it is evident that they take pride in everything they do. It has been a highlight of our trip to France so far. A must visit!
Raymond T — Google review
We booked the tour online, which included both an informational tour and a mustard-making workshop. The tour itself was informative, with videos and a self-guided audio section in their small display area. The mustard-making workshop, however, was a lot simpler than expecte. We just mashed some seeds with vinegar, so it wasn’t quite what I thought it would be. The highlight was definitely the tasting at the end. We were able to sample at least two dozen different mustards, and the staff were amazing, friendly, enthusiastic, and very encouraging about trying as many varieties as we wanted. Even though the tasting area could get a little crowded, it flowed smoothly, and you don’t actually need to take the tour to enjoy the tasting (it’s free to try). Overall, the workshop itself felt a bit underwhelming, but the tour and especially the tasting experience made it worthwhile. The staff really made the visit a positive one.

An excellent experience! The staff is incredibly helpful and fluent in English. The tour is engaging and interactive—you even get to make a small batch of mustard yourself and enjoy a tasting session. There’s also a tasting bar, allowing you to sample different mustard flavors before deciding which to buy. With so many unique varieties available, it’s a must-visit!

During a weekend trip with friends, we decided to discover this mustard manufacturer that it has been in fact, a family business for generations. The visit was excellent, our guide was very friendly and educational. There’s the possibility to do the visit in multiple languages such as French, English and German. By the end of the visit you can buy the incredible and delicious mustards you got to try. I totally recommend, a must do if you visit Beaune!

Le Comptoir des Tontons is a charming local spot in Beaune, known for its laid-back atmosphere and delicious, locally-sourced organic food. The chef takes pride in refusing to be guided by accolades like the Michelin star, focusing instead on creating a welcoming environment for diners. The menu features easy-to-share tapas and larger plates made from fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, complemented by a wide selection of Burgundy wines.
Lovely atmosphere and generous hospitality from Richard and his team. Several hundred references and shelves heaving with curated goodies to share with a glass, bottle or more! Add to your must visit list in Beaune.

Terrible service - don't waste your time here with so many better choices nearby! The owner clearly doesn't care about customers or being nice ("eat, now pay & get out!"). Place was almost empty and he was "very busy" sharing a bottle with his friends at another table... We asked for suggestions on the wine list and he literally replied "Pick whatever, I don't have 1 hour to waste...". In a wine bar!!! So we just ordered a salad and a glass of wine and felt so unwelcome that we left to have dinner somewhere else ("Caves de la Madeleine", next door), where we had a super nice evening! tl;dr: salad was ok and the wine selection is great, too bad the owner has zero interest in his non-local customers.
Food C — Google review
Excellent French food. And a wine lise that you can get lost in.
Rono S — Google review
While the wine shop part might deserve 4 or even 5 stars, the restaurant certainly does not. The food is good, but quite overpriced for what you get. Especially today's meal of the day was an example for this: Porc meat of a quality that is definitely not keeping up with what I am used from restaurants in France for a solid 28€. The charcuterie was surely good but also nothing that we found for a considerably lower price elsewhere. The wine selection was excellent. Service friendly and welcoming.
Gregor J — Google review
Really have no idea how this restaurant has positive reviews. We should have taken notice of several warning signs and left before having a terrible, overpriced meal. 1. Out of perhaps 20 people in the restaurant, very few were French 2. I ordered a 2015 (good vintage) wine only to have the proprietor, after going to his cave, bringing a 2016 vintage and telling me that it was comparable 3. The menu had only one choice for a plat 4. One of the two page menu was devoted to advertising canned goods that they had for sale The restaurant advertises itself as being farm to table. The haricot salad appeared to contain canned beans that were for sale in the restaurant - in addition to 1/2 of the menu being devoted to advertising canned goods for sale, one wall of the restaurant had the goods on display. Further, most of these products were canned sardines, etc from Portugal and Spain The one main dish on the menu, confit canard, was too salty to eat and we left about half. Our experience in eating in small restaurants in France is that the proprietors will ask you if everything is good. In this case, even though we left a large amount of food on the plate, the owner never asked whether we liked the food. After paying, I told him that I was going to write a negative review and he did not seem to care. There are many excellent restaurants in Bourgogne, do not waste your money on this place
Harry W — Google review
Went there after dinner for their wines and was tempted to a pork dish which was really delicious
Ron — Google review
We had 5 wines by the glass, didn't like any of them (unlike the four other wine bars). Food is mostly canned products from the shop. Doesn't seem like a good option in Beaune.

Always enjoy coming here. It's always open and huge. We did the tour a few years ago and it's worthwhile if you haven't seen the production process. Although we have had tours of champagne houses before and know the process, we still found the audio tour to be of great interest. Sushi restaurant
Bissoh in Beaune offers a unique blend of Japanese cuisine and Burgundy wine, creating a one-of-a-kind dining experience. The restaurant features a sleek and minimalist decor with a large bar reminiscent of a Tokyo izakaya, allowing guests to watch the chef at work. Chef Mikihiko Sawahata, who has been in Beaune since 2004, has a deep appreciation for the region and its vineyards, even participating in the annual grape harvest.
DELICIOUS. I got the 3 entree and one plat menu, with the salad, sashimi, and sushi, as well as the grilled duck with Szechuan sauce and a scoop of matcha ice cream for dessert. Everything was fantastic: the salad was flavorful and refreshing, the fish was insanely fresh and melt in your mouth, and the duck was cooked to perfection with a sauce that was savory and citrusy but still light and complimentary to everything on the plate. And finally, I normally don’t care for matcha as I’ve only really tried it in cheap lattes, but based on my experience with the meal I felt I could trust that the matcha ice cream would be of good quality, and a good test for whether or not I just disliked matcha or hadn’t encountered one of good quality yet. Well, I can now confirm that the latter is true. Nutty, creamy, and wonderful, it was the perfect end to a lovely meal. I left satiated but not overwhelmingly full, and not even ten minutes later I’m writing this review. I came here for a solo dinner completely by accident as the original Japanese restaurant I intended to go to was full. Thank goodness! Oh, and they offer an extensive wine selection as well. (P.S., my only critique would be that there was no music—it was completely silent! So much so that the only couple eating could probably hear me chewing. Some light instrumentals would be nice;)

One of the most spectacular meals I have ever eaten! My friend and I entered this award winning restaurant on a whim; however the dishes, the service and the extensive wine list filled our hearts as well as delighting our taste buds. Real care is taken in the preparation of the food; and the result is simply divine. Simple dishes of spectacular quality, with the most wonderful taste and flavour combinations! If you do nothing else in Beaune; visit BISSOH!
Huw J — Google review
A delightful and unexpected gem in the heart of Beaune! Bissoh offers a fantastic Japanese dining experience, but let's talk about the wine list, because it is absolutely crazy. In the best way possible! We were astounded by the depth and quality of the selection. For a restaurant in the heart of Burgundy, the cellar is world-class and a true paradise for any wine lover. Every dish was delicious, but the miso aubergine was truly out of this world. It was perfectly cooked, savory, and just melted in your mouth. An absolute must-order! The ambiance is cozy and the service is excellent. If you're looking for a break from traditional French cuisine and want to be blown away by a phenomenal wine list, you have to visit Bissoh. Highly recommended!
Job Z — Google review
Bissoh was the highlight of our trip. This small restaurant serves fantastic food, all freshly prepared, with incredibly fresh fish and mind-blowing Tonkatsu. The owners are very friendly, and the wine list features the best producers in Burgundy. We wanted to book a table for the next night, but unfortunately, they were closed. We absolutely loved this place!
Rodrigo H — Google review
Simply delightful in all aspects, in the heart of Beaune, the wine making cradle of Burgundy. Our special wine pairing was not to disappoint either!
R P — Google review
Do not come here if you're vegan or vegetarian. Only one option as a main dish which is some lame tempura with a small bowl of rice. Entree were rolls filled with wasabi and some unidentified vegetable and two pieces of fried eggplant topped with miso. €55.
Marco C — Google review
We loved the quality, the precision and the details. The sushi and sashimi was most likely the best we have had in Europe, melt in your mouth delicate. All the food was delectable. The service was friendly, accommodating and efficient even when the small restaurant was packed full and they were clearly working very hard to provide such service. It’s clear that the ingredients are painstakingly sourced and chosen with care. The wine list is mind blowing. If you are not looking for a gastronomic experience with a wine selection that makes sommeliers cry you should find another restaurant. In response to the people complaining about portion sizes, have you never eaten at a gastronomic restaurant before? We left full and happy. We will definitely be back next time we are in Beaune. Don’t hesitate to reserve as it’s a small cosy place, and I highly recommend sitting at the bar so you can enjoy watching the chef.

Very good respect for traditional patisserie and one of the few places where the millefeuille has really deserved a place where try. Also very other nice options. The service keeps the level, where the foreign experience of the marriage running the local evidences an appreciated openness also to those coming from outside France. Last, probably one of the best cappuccinos that one can have, considering the distant French culture from good coffee. Merci beaucoup.

Lovely place to enjoy a qualitative pastry. The milefeulle is fantastic! We also tried the big macaron with raspberries, also lot of flavour!

We visited today. The outside looked very inviting with a delicious looking range of pastries. However, the staff were so incompetent and rude. We ordered and paid for our 2 teas, coffee and pastries in advance but waited a long time to receive them because the staff member was busy chatting to her friends. Eventually we only got 1 tea so I had to go to the counter and ask for the second tea. Overall the teas were so weak they looked and tasted like urine. Such a shame to have 1 incompetent staff member to let everyone including the entire establishment down.

Bouchard Ainé Et Fils is a renowned winery located in the historic city of Beaune, in the wine capital of Burgundy, France. Established in 1750, it offers an intriguing tour of its cellars where visitors can explore the ancient Roman-era walls and moats that once protected the city. The winery provides a unique 5 senses tour, allowing guests to experience the aromas associated with wine in a special smelling room.
My husband and I had a fantastic time here. We did the guided 5 senses tour. I must say indeed you use all senses when doing this tour, however I suggest a bit more of an “introduction” to explain what shall you expect or do in such tour. The wine selection was impressive, amazing, complex reds and delicious, crispy whites. The setting is quite a showstopper: in their cellar with thousands of old fashioned bottles around you. The smell of moist / cold stone while sensing the aroma of your wine is priceless! Our guide was very knowledgeable but I felt we had to really dig deep for the questions instead of him teaching us naturally. We did some nice wine shopping in the end, took the glasses as a souvenir and a beautiful poster. The story of this place was unbelievable.. I would definitely come back.
Ingrid O — Google review
We had a great visit today. We did the five senses tour and learnt a lot. We are wine enthusiasts and found it fun and educational. Our guide was brilliant, friendly, good English and clearly lives and loves wine. I'm sorry I can't remember his name but he was young and has only been working there 2 weeks. A massive thanks to him. Well worth the money and very good wines. We bought a red which despite being above our usual budget for a bottle was too good to miss.

We had an exceptional tour and tasting experience at Bouchard Aîné et Fils in Beaune this weekend! Our tour guide is called Marie Mathilde and her English is excellent. Her passion for wine and the domaine is obvious and she made the tour very interactive. There was just one other couple signed up with us so it was an intimate setting where we were able to ask as many questions as we wanted. The domaine is beautiful and the tour takes you throughout their caves and various gorgeously-appointed tasting rooms. 100% recommend!
Jessica P — Google review
Well worth the money as you get samples of very good and expensive wines as well as a custom glass of the site. However, our guide was not that enthousiast which was a bit sad. It was clear that he had a bad day and just wanted to get over with the tour.
Gilles D — Google review
The House of Bouchard Aîné & Fils selects and purchases grapes and wines directly from producers whose vineyards and estates are located in Burgundy and the Beaujolais and with whom the House has developed close partnerships over the years. These partnerships allow them to guarantee the quality of their grape supplies. They work with approximately thirty partners and since the end of the 19th century, their wines have been widely enjoyed by consumers outside of France.

Maison Champy, established in 1720, holds the title of being the oldest wine house in Bourgogne. It is renowned globally for its exceptional Grand Crus from Cote de Nuits and Cote de Beaune, particularly the Corton-Charlemagne. With 21 hectares of vineyards around Pernand-Vergelesses, Maison Champy offers a remarkable wine tasting experience.
An exceptional wine tasting experience in Beaune! This historic winery, one of the region's oldest, offers a captivating tour rich in information and local lore. We sampled 10 diverse wines, each providing insight into Burgundy's terroir and winemaking traditions. The carefully curated selection showcases the best of Bourgogne, from crisp whites to complex reds. Staff displayed top-notch hospitality, patiently answering our many questions and sharing fascinating details about each wine. Their knowledge and enthusiasm truly enhanced the experience. Prices are in line with local standards, offering good value for the quality and depth of the tasting. This winery is a must-visit for anyone exploring Beaune or seeking to deepen their understanding of Burgundy wines. The combination of history, expertise, and superb wines makes for an unforgettable and educational experience. Highly recommended for both wine enthusiasts and curious beginners!

A great wine tour and tasting experience led by very knowledgeable and engaged guide, Hortense. Excellent wines as well. A great way to spend 90’ in Beaune learning about Burgundy wines.
Mary M — Google review
My family and I had a wonderful experience with our guide Daniel at Maison Champy. The visit was extremely organized and informative, and I am so thankful that this was the first visit we took in the Burgundy region, as their explanation of the appellations is the best I heard anywhere. I particularly appreciated Daniel’s explanation of how to match the appellation of the wine to the label, as no other tour mentioned this and it was very practical information to know as I visited wine shops in the area. The tasting was very pleasant, as was the wine itself. Their tasting room had a lot of natural light, unlike tastings that take place in the wine cellars themselves, so we were able to well see the color of the wine we were tasting. I would recommend anyone visiting the Burgundy region to make Maison Champy their first tour and tasting in the region.
Meredith P — Google review
We participated in a tour and tasting at Maison Champy. My partner and I enjoyed it a lot, and we gained a lot of knowledge about the vineyard and wines in general. The tasting afterwards was a very nice and interesting experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable, and she made the information comprehensible for two newbies when it comes to wines. Seeing the cellars was very impressive! Also, there are structures designed by the architect Gustav Eiffel in the winery, an unexpected surprise!
Saartje N — Google review
Paulina the host was well prepared and cute. The visit was regular, I really appreciated the choice of the wines and that they show a really huge map to let have a depth understand regarding the burgundy.
Cris W — Google review
The visit itself was really nice and organized. I am a bit disappointed by the degustation for the following reasons: - it is done standing and in complete rush - they only give you one glass, which does not allow you to compare the wines - i went to the bathroom between the visit and the degustation but the guide did not wait for me to start the degustation. - they have a coravin but they only used it for some bottles (not the most expensive). They served us already opened grand cru (worth 300 eur) and a 2012 premiere cru that were closed with the flipped cork. Instead, they served us a village with the coravin (which is nonsense).

Great tasting experience. Best to focus on their grand and 1er cru. Unique offerings in terms of flavor profiles, both in their Pinot noir and Chardonnay, that set them apart and are not exported to the US. The corton blanc, for example, rivals or surpasses the famous jadot corton-charlemange

Domaine Chanson is a renowned winery in Burgundy, offering visitors the chance to experience the best of Burgundy wine production. The winery's unique bastion architecture sets it apart, and its high-quality wines are stored in an unconventional cellar. Visitors can enjoy a guided wine tour and tasting led by knowledgeable staff, with the opportunity to sample a variety of high-quality wines including premiere crus.
This was hands down the most informative wine tasting I’ve ever experienced. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable—clearly an expert—but also patient, warm, and completely approachable. Her English was excellent, and she effortlessly understood all our accents, which made the entire experience feel welcoming and easy. What really stood out was how different this felt from the typical wine stop. Most places in Beaune lean self-guided and sales-focused, but Domaine Chanson feels more like a museum with wine—deeply rooted in history, with a thoughtful, curated atmosphere that prioritizes learning over pushing bottles. The history of the domaine itself is fascinating, and the architecture is beautiful. The cave tour is also very cold which is welcome on a burning Summer day!

My husband and I booked a tasting, which ended up being just the 2 of us, so we got to enjoy a private tasting. The woman doing the tasting was lovely, engaging and very knowledgable about the wines and the region overall. In the 1 hour we spent with her, we learned a lot! The wines were all delicious and it was hard to decide which one to take home with us! If you book outside of a tour group, it seems you get your own private tasting, which just adds to the overall experience!

We went there without appointment and enjoyed a nice tasting with lots of information about the domaine and wine gardens. There are a couple of tasty wines for reasonable prices. The domain belongs the the Champaign House Bollinger.

The Cité des Climats et vins de Bourgogne is a newly opened museum that offers an immersive experience into the unique terroir and history of Bourgogne. The visitor trail features interactive exhibits providing a comprehensive understanding of Burgundian wine. Partner museums in Chablis and Macon complement this attraction, creating a tourist route. The venue also includes a restaurant, bar, and rooftop terrace with stunning vineyard views.
We visited this the last place on our tours through burgundy and wish it was the first place we had visited period the multimedia display which is available in English as well as presented in French was outstanding period we learnt an enormous amount about the geography the terrain the climate the production in the history, which would have been so informative for the beginning of any tours. If you're going to start the burgundy area in Beaune France then I would put this on the very first item of your itinerary, that is of course if you're in Burgundy to tour the wine facilities and taste the wonderful wines.

Inside an interesting looking building is a museum that hosts an excellent introduction of Burgundy wine. With a single ticket you will be able to learn about the soil, the grape, the wine making process, the wine labels, smell etc, probably more content of a basic level wine tasting course. The exhibition ends with a glass of village appellation wine. The audio guide can play the introduction that is in sync with the video and visual elements on display. At 4th level there's a bar that offers simple food, and various types of wine, including some Grand Cru, by the glass.
Li L — Google review
Great place to learn a lot about burgundy wine. The exposition is well done for adult and kids and it never felt crowdy inside. After the visit i had the feeling to understand what burgundy climate means. You get a deep respect for the work the monks and winemakers did centurys ago. Its also really a immersive exposition. A walk at the roof and a free glas of wine are just a great bonus.

Fantastic museum of wine for the Bourgogne and wine in general. Really surprised by how good this museum was. Nice bistro/bar on the top floor too.
Matt G — Google review
Be sure to stop here first if you enter the Burgundy area through Beaune. The Museum gives an in depth experience of the whole region and the wines that can be found there. Only reason I gave a 3 and not a 4 is because it is quite removed from the centre of Beaune and felt a but isolated.

Great experience! Took one of the tasting workshops, which lasts about one hour. Learned about wine tasting in classroom type of setting. Expert goes through every detail on how to assess a wine. Offered in French and English. Beautiful new modern facilities, opened in June 2023. Highly recommended!

A beautiful venue with a great way to learn about the area, grapes and wine of burgundy. Lots of different interactive exhibits. Our toddler was welcomed and able to run around and interact. My favourite was the exhibit where you could smell the different aromas found in the wine. Beautiful and updated daily, pretty impressive. The wine tasting at the end was a real bonus. There's a restaurant and bar that we didn't visit but looked lovely and a roof top terrace of the views of the vineyards. Lots of parking and helpful staff

Henri de Villamont is a historic winery in the Burgundy region with a rich viticultural legacy. Established by Leonce Bocquet, owner of Chateau du Clos de Vougeot, in the late 19th century, it was designed by architect Charles Suisse in a unique style featuring brick and limestone. Visitors praise the warm welcome and high-quality wines during tastings.
Our wine tasting and tour at Henri de Villamont in Beaune was an absolute delight. Tucked away in a picturesque corner of Burgundy, this winery exudes both charm and a deep respect for tradition, making it a must-visit for any wine lover. The tour began with a fascinating walk through the historic cellars, where we learned about the meticulous winemaking process that has been perfected over generations. The guide’s knowledge and passion for Burgundy wines were evident in every story and detail shared, making the experience both educational and deeply enjoyable. The tasting itself was nothing short of spectacular. Each wine we sampled was a testament to the winery’s commitment to quality and tradition. From the crisp, vibrant whites to the rich, elegant reds, every glass told a story of the terroir and the craftsmanship behind it. The complexity and balance of the wines left a lasting impression, with each sip revealing new layers of flavor. Henri de Villamont offers more than just a tasting; it’s an invitation to explore the heart and soul of Burgundy winemaking. Whether you're a seasoned connoisseur or simply curious about wine, this experience is sure to leave you with fond memories and a deep appreciation for the art of winemaking.

(Translated by Google) Goodbye, Café du Pont, hello to Saint-François… For the average tourist who discovers this terrace, the place seems promising. In addition, the servers, young and elegant, are extremely professional and pleasant. On the other hand, where the low hurts is the ratio between the poor quality of the products offered and an absolutely exorbitant price. Basically, the establishment uses its strategic position in Pommard to make its business a tourist trap. I strongly advise against it and instead suggest the other terraces on the square.

This was one of the best wine experiences of our trip. It should not be missed.

Love coming to smaller domaines like this. We tasted 7 wines right next to the tractor where they were loading the very early harvest into the sorting machine. Camping Huttopia Meursault offers a warm and helpful welcome from the staff, with clean and tidy facilities. The pitches provide great views of the valley, and the bar area is perfect for relaxing with beautiful views over the vineyards. The campsite's location is ideal for cycling, with bike hire available. Despite being busy in late June, it offers good facilities including an excellent swimming pool. Meursault itself is an attractive town with essential shops and numerous vintners to explore.
We love la grappe d’dor and have spent many happy holidays there. The area, the atmosphere, the cycling and the site and its staff are outstanding. This is the first time in a trappeur tent and it was a fabulous experience. The tents had some of the best views and were very comfortable. Great experience, thank you.

Beautiful location right in the heart of the wine region. Showers although semi outdoor are fantastic as is the bar area and the pool area. However the actual pitches leave something to be desired, and you will find yourself on top of someone else. We were only here for 2 nights so we left the awning in the car as there was no way that could go up with neighbours so close to each other every which way. Would possibly come back, but only for the wine and local gastronomy.
Howard S — Google review
Great location overlooking the vines. All camping facilities on hand. Clean and plentiful toilets and showers, with hairdryers. Black and grey water dump sites. Bread/croissant ordering service. We were not there on the weekend so no restaurant at the time of year we visited. A great base from which to walk or cycle to explore the nearby wine towns and villages. Meursault itself is very charming, although quiet on Monday and Tuesday. You may need to book a restaurant if you want to dine out in walking distance, to avoid disappointment.

This campground is right in the middle of Burgundy wine country and the charming town of Meursault. The views are out of this world and there’s a lovely Velo Route just outside the gates so you can cycle to Beaune and beyond.

Poor experience here, pitches scruffy and boggy so had to use hard standing which was a gravel car park with a row of motorhomes and accessible hook up. Snack bar and pool closed. Showers/toilets tired and cold although there was hot water and they were cleanish. Reception staff a bit slow in providing information( you had to ask). All for the grand sum of 38 euros a night when most of the facilities are closed. I realise that this is a chain as I’ve stayed on other Hutopia sites, however, I’ve stayed on better municipal sites than this and will not be returning. Poor experience overall and couldn’t wait to leave. What I’m trying to say is why charge 38 euros out of season when half the facilities are closed. Also, there was no mention of collaboration with other restaurants in the area when we booked in.

So this review is from a 2 week trip in France in a motorhome and my first review is of Huttopia Meursault because we enjoyed this place so much. Firstly this campsite is all about location - wow!! In the middle of vines and vines and vines. Meursault is quite an affluent village, small but very quaint with lots of big wine grower properties. There are restaurants in the village to eat out, wine shops to taste wine and also wine grower caves to visit to experience their wines. Meursault is a 10 minute walk from Huttopia Meursault. The staff were really welcoming when we arrived, explaining what was on offer in Meursault. One member of staff, Alie was so helpful when we asked about restaurants to eat in, he recommended 2 restaurants and went to the trouble of making reservations for us. The staff also recommended wine tasting for us. A special thank you to Alie. The campsite consists of camping pitches and lodges for guests. There is a smart bar and restaurant area, although we didn’t use the bar. The pitches are close together but you are in an area surrounded by vineyards. There is also a small swimming pool, which was lovely to come back to after a hot day bike riding to Beaune and back. The campsite is located on a bicycle route which allows you to cycle through different villages and vineyards, all associated with the famous Bourgogne wines. The showers were clean and had lots of hot water. There is a motorhome service area for fresh water and removal of waste water. We ordered croissants and pain du chocolates each morning and they were the best we had in France. We visited the Chateau Meursault for a wine tasting experience - excellent, seeing their caves and understanding the production of wine in the region. And we used our own bikes to cycle to Baune. This is such and excellent campsite with staff like Alie who make your holiday so special. I must say the location is incredible. Thank you Huttopia Meursault and Alie for looking after us so well.
Wendy H — Google review
We had a nice stay at this camping. The overall atmosphere of the camping is nice and relaxed and the location of this small camping is verry nice. Unfortunately there was a heat wave during our stay but the camping provided fans for the cabins and with a cave tour and a nice swimming location near by and the pool we had a good time.
Kees B — Google review
This is a small but well above average Huttopia campsite in Burgundy, about 5km from the beautiful town of Beaune. There is a great cycle track (Voie Verte) to Beaune directly in front of the campsite. The village of Meursault is nearby. Most of the pitches are small but are arranged on a "stepped" or terrace formation, meaning most have a good view of the surrounding vineyards. Great bike hire service available for kids and adults. Only one criticism - they put gruyere cheese (not mozzarella) on their pizzas!

We had a really nice evening with the seven course menue. The price was super fair, the wine really really good and the staff was always very polite, friendly and helpful. Thanks a lot for this special evening.

Let me start by saying that the lunch menu is an absolute steal for a Michelin star restaurant. We had a nice lunch in the shades of terrasse and service was very attentive even if the place looked under staffed. I must say that I expected more from the food although it was nice and overall tasty (though the pike fish flan lacked very much in flavour). So to summarise a good experience for the price but not amazing.

We had lunch in this nice restaurant. The 35€ 4 courses lunch menu was ok, not too bad but I think it could have been better for a michelin star. Some dishes were very good, some of them not good. The brochet flan and the mirabel soufle weren t good at all.So depends of your choices.

Amazed over and over with the delicious and delightful food. One amazing dish after another came to our table. The service is friendly, yet very professional, and perfect. The sommelier was very helpful and even suggested some good wineries to visit.

Absolutely amazing! Great food, excellent wines, fantastic service and an outstanding garden setting.
Simone E — Google review
Went to the restaurant for dinner. It was highly overpriced for what we got and feel like we have wasted €300. All in all quite a bad experience. This price included the set food menu and approx 3/4 of a bottle of wine between 2. We did the wine tasting, and the wine matched the food well. However; the wine pairing is very overpriced, costing an extra €60 per person. Whilst the wine was good we only had 4 tiny glasses throughout the meal, as well as a quarter of a bottle of beer for one of the pairings. Paying an extra €120 for two people for this was extortionate. On top of this, the restaurant was boiling with multiple tables complaining and moving outside. When we then asked we were told we could not move for our cheese course (?) but could for our desert. Baffling. The staff were pleasant at times but overall quite rude and unaware when we were out of water/dishes had been finished. Absolutely not what I expected from a Michelin star restaurant and would not recommend. As the last night of our holiday I feel ripped off and quite disgusted with the staff’s approach to our request to move outside and the feedback we provide after the meal. Food was good - great portion sizes and delicious local produce however there is a lot of improvement for them to consider.

After *the* best lunch in 2019 during holiday in the area, I decided to make a detour to go back for lunch again in 2020. The business is clearly hit financially by covid-19. They offer a lunch menu at 35 EUR. 5-6 EUR has gone towards the 4 servings, not more. There is obviously a wasp nest in the lovely garden somewhere. Every table was struggling to eat in peace. Covid-19 financially hit or not, I am having a hard time believing that a michelin started restaurant will put their name to this. As always, a review must finish with something positive. The wine menu is great.

Best experience with a beautiful wine cellar and incredible energy with so much patience and gorgeous, incredible energy and I am in love. I left with 4 bottles and 2 paintings and a full heart, thank you so much!!!!! A beautiful tasting I will cherish 🥰💗🙌🏽😊👑💕

Come to this winery!!!! Step away from the large domaines and say hello to this delightful husband and wife owned winery. I had the fortune of meeting with David Coudurier one of the owners! He is very friendly, happy to share his story, and tell me about the wines. The whites were my favorite. They're only making about 12k bottles of whites per year! Oh best part they are open on Sunday!!! (And a nice perk they are right next to the moutarderie Edmond Fallot!) Additionally, they have amazing art by a regional artist for sale!! You won't be disappointed. Go support this small local winery!

Wine tasting was a fantastic experience. Our host was incredibly friendly and explained everything in detail, answering all our dilly-dallying questions with a smile. The wines were incredibly tasty, and we ended up buying ten bottles of different varieties. We also had a small tour of the cellar, where we saw the oak barrels and ceramic containers. Highly recommended!

We had a really lovely experience trying their 4 wines in the garden. Great explanations of the wines and history. Accompanied by the most delicious cheese!

It would have been nice to have enough wine to actually taste! The cheese board was lovely but the amount served of each wine was so small it barely rinsed the glass of the one before. 10eur maybe cheap but I would have happily paid 20 to have double the amount and actually be able to taste the wine. Photo shows the volume served

We loved our visit and tasting! The team are very nice and knowledgeable. It's relaxed and you can take your time. It was great to learn more about wine in Burgandy and taste four very different wines. We then stayed and had a glass of the sparkling wine. Prices are very reasonable. If you are expecting to be in a big tasting room or visit a cellar, this is not the visit for you. But if you're looking for an authentic and local experience, I highly recommend a visit.

We had a fantastic wine tasting experience with a Wonderbox. The guide explained everything clearly, and the 7 wines we tried were excellent. Since we were alone, it felt very personalized. After, she gave us a tour of the caves and the wine factory. Highly recommended. They speak English!

We had the best time at this beautiful, family-owned vineyard! The wine tasting was fantastic – you can really tell the care and love that goes into every bottle. What made it extra special was how family-friendly everything was. While the adults enjoyed the wine, the kids were included with their own syrup "tasting" – such a fun and thoughtful touch! The atmosphere was relaxed, welcoming, and perfect for spending quality time together. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a vineyard experience that’s both top-notch and family-friendly. We’ll definitely be back!

Good visit to this family-owned domaine just outside the twin centre. We tasted 7 wines, in the small cave with just one other group there - it was a very friendly atmosphere. Very knowledgeable and friendly young lady told us about their wines & Burgundy wine-growing in general, and answered lots of questions - she spoke very good English. A tour of the facility and the wine cave afterwards, we felt the fee was very good value for money! Thank you for a great visit.

We popped in here to buy a bottle of wine that we’d enjoyed a taste of with our lunch at a local restaurant. The staff immediately knew which local wine we very poorly described and was also able to offer advice on other products. The prices were very good, much cheaper than other local shops for the same products. Highly recommended.

La Vinothèque is truly a gem for wine enthusiasts! What sets this place apart is the exceptional level of personalized service - the staff doesn’t just sell wine, they create an experience. From the moment I walked in, they took genuine time to understand my palate and preferences. Rather than rushing through a transaction, they engaged in thoughtful conversation about what I enjoy, my budget, and what occasions I was shopping for. Their recommendations were spot-on and introduced me to some incredible bottles I never would have discovered on my own. The selection is impressive, ranging from accessible everyday wines to rare finds that serious collectors dream about. What I appreciate most is how they explain their recommendations - sharing the stories behind the producers, tasting notes, and perfect pairing suggestions. You can tell they’re passionate about what they do and genuinely want to help you find wines you’ll love. I left with several fantastic additions to my home cellar, including a beautiful Puligny-Montrachet that was exactly what I was looking for. The prices are fair for the quality, and the expertise you receive is invaluable. This is more than just a wine shop - it’s a place where you’ll expand your wine knowledge and discover new favorites. Can’t recommend it highly enough for anyone serious about wine or just looking to learn more. I’ll definitely be back!

Unfortunately, the visit was very short and the tasting started immediately. The space available for the tasting was very limited (there were nine of us), and once the time allotted for the visit ended, there was no opportunity to try additional bottles. We were kindly invited to leave. That said, the staff member conducting the tasting was extremely kind, and I don’t believe the space and timing issues were his responsibility. I should mention that due to a problem with our GPS, we arrived 15 minutes late.

Had a wine tasting there the other day and we chose this domain mainly because of the cute little room you see in the photos with the wooden table.. However when we went in, we were ushered in the opposite direction to a pretty ugly shed in the back with white plastic tables.. The tasting began and we were poured such a tiny amount that it was barely a sip. It felt rushed and sorry but altogether very disappointing compared to others we went to and certainly not value for €20

It was an immense delight to rediscover LES DOMAINES DE POMMARD, a remarkable establishment that we had the pleasure of encountering during a trip to Burgundy in 2011. This wine store is an exceptional destination for admirers of Burgundy wines, boasting a wealth of knowledge and expertise. Delphine, the proprietor, graciously imparts her wisdom and enthusiasm with unparalleled magnanimity.
We visited this wine store on our first evening in the Bourgogne. The lady shop owner was very kind and explained a lot in French/English. There was no pressure to buy anything expensive. We enjoyed our wine a lot! Would really recommend going here.

We stopped in on a whim knowing nothing about the shop. The woman who helped us was so knowledgeable and passionate about the artistry, history, and personal aspects of the wines, wineries, and region. We left with multiple bottles and the stories of their creators and the trials of the harvest years. We can't wait to taste them and share them with friends. Will definitely be back if we find ourselves in Pommard again!
Kat W — Google review
Not very well mannered shop personnel. She was able to propose few options (although limited), but made us feel we were being rushed out of the shop. Also, she prohibited us to take a picture scan of two bottles to better decide our choice using a well known wine app, and had to enter manually the search by text on it... simply non sense and slower. I rather make it right with pricey bottles. We were very close to just leave without buying. Not recommended and we will not go back.

The prices are fair, and for those who don't have the time or ability to visit the producers themselves, it's the best alternative to the more expensive shops in Beaune. Unfortunately, there's no tasting available, so it's perhaps best for those who already know the product type, but you can trust the advice they give you. (Original) Raccomando questo shop per la gentilezza, cortesia e competenza della ragazza che si occupa della vendita, sempre pronta a fornire indicazioni e consigli utili sui vini in vendita e loro produttori. Honestly, super rude and we stood waiting for a tasting for 10 minutes. Probably wouldn’t come here again, terrible service. I have no clue whether the wines are good or not, but given the service unlikely good. A lady stood there without communicating with us, not super great and very arrogant.

We are Americans, and since 2005, have owned a Pied a Terre in Pommard. This small domaine is our neighbor, and we have enjoyed their wines from the beginning. We know three generations of the family, and their dogs, and find them to represent the "true" Burgundy. Their wines, including the whites, are age-worthy. I am drinking a 2019 Bourgogne Blanc as I write this and it is gorgeous, rich but fresh, complex and nuanced. Incredible values. I have bought very pricey Premier Crus in the U.S. that are comparable. I will visit tomorrow and do not want to predict their prices this year, but you will get change from 20 euros. And yes, the current generations will speak to you in English.

Domaine LEJEUNE - POMMARD is a small family winery with a very manual production process, offering an informative guided tour through their workshop and generous tastings of their fantastic wines. They specialize in single clos wines, some of which come from 80-year-old vines. Visitors have praised the friendly and English-speaking hosts, as well as the opportunity to witness the winemaking process firsthand.
Absolute amazing place. The Sommelier was excellent. You get 4 wines for 8€ pP. The wines tastes absolutely delicious. Bought several after the tasting.

Great experience for our family. JP really made the entire experience, He was super friendly, informative and knowledgeable about the local wines.

I booked a reservation for a tour and tasting a few weeks in advance of my visit. The winery is located in Pommard, 15 minutes south of Beaune. JP gave an excellent tour and provided additional background of wines of Burgundy and Pommard that enhanced my knowledge of wine from this region. Highly recommended. There is ample free parking outside the winery and in the vicinity of the church next door.

What an incredible experience. We did the Prestige tasting which included a tour of the facility and 5 wines plus a spirit tasting and chocolate pairing with the wines. Pommard is known for its reds, I learned. We got one white on this tour, an Aligote, and four reds. They were as good of Pinots as you’ll find. Simply delicious wines. The tour was somewhat quick, but our guide, Jean-Pascal was super knowledgeable, able to answer every question, and made the whole experience fun. It’s a very historical property- built in the 16th century so if you like history and tradition this is a place for you. Can not recommend this place enough. Try this place before it becomes the hottest ticket in all of Burgandy.

I have been buying Domaine LeJeune wine in Chicago for years. I was lucky enough to have a degustation at the Domaine and found it very welcoming and informative. I was biking so I had limited space to carry wine, but I did leave with two 1er Cru bottles of Pinot Noir which I carried in my checked luggage. Thank you to Edwige for the tasting and tour.

Best wine producer we’ve visited so far! Very manual production process, really informative guided tour through the family workshop, very generous tasting, and of course fantastic wines that all have very distinct characters! All wines are from single clos, great value for money, and one regional level clos even has 80 year old vines! We also got a bottle of ratafia, a box and 2 glasses as gifts. Last but not least, super friendly and English speaking host! Cannot ask for anything better!

Domaine Virely-Rougeot is a charming little tasting shop located in the heart of town. Visitors can enjoy wine tastings, with the option to purchase bottles at reasonable prices. While the initial welcome may be lacking, once you get past that, the staff is very friendly and welcoming. The independent winemaker takes great care in presenting their wines in detail and offers a delightful tasting experience for visitors.

Nice little tasting shop in the middle of town. When we where there it was 6€ for 3 tastings unless you buy wine. Wine was good and reasonably priced. The initial “welcome” was a bit lacking, especially considering most every shop in France gives you a “bonjour” immediately upon entering. We walked in unsure of how the tastings worked and we stood around for a while before anyone acknowledged us. However, once we got past the initial bump, the staff was very friendly.

We try to travel to Burgundy at least every two years, and this time we made another wonderful discovery. The lady, very kind and welcoming, let us taste the Domaine's wines, explaining the differences between the crus. They were all very good and interesting; naturally, we bought a few bottles to take home and enjoy again in the future. The prices are reasonable, considering you're in Pommard, but I would recommend this producer not only for the excellent quality/price ratio, but also for the quality and distinctiveness of the wines. Really a wonderful operation. We didn’t have a reservation and they had just got back from holiday, but they had none of the pretense or attitude we noticed in other places and gave us a great tour and tasting. Affordable premier cru.
