We ate here twice during our visit to Cluny. Best location to see what's going on especially during the jazz festival. Nice food, very good service. Most menus in Cluny are very similar with good local food, but I can really recommend the salade du berger which was delicious, and the beef bourguinon. Also good for drinks.

A great place, serving normal French food. The Charolais steak that I had, was the best that I have had in France. Also tried Marc de Bourgogne, a new one on me! The staff were pleasant and helpful, and the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. Unfortunately these fine traditional restaurants are becoming rarer in France.

Rarely have we been served so poorly. We had a reservation and arrived 10 minutes late: we were rudely told that the kitchen was already closed and that we could only have drinks and a salad. We pointed out that we weren't informed of this when we made the reservation: they apologized, saying that on the phone they had understood 8:15 PM instead of 9:15 PM as we had clearly indicated. Then, falsely, they said that if we ordered quickly, they would keep the kitchen open. After us, other people were seated and served without any problem. In short, a disaster and a tourist trap. For me, it is neither a restaurant nor a brasserie.

We had the chicken burger with goats cheese and truffle and my husband and decided it was the best chicken burger he had ever eaten; I had the chicken with epoise sauce. Absolutely delicious. The house rose wine was good and the bill very reasonable. I would definitely recommend a visit here if you are in the area.

The room for 2 adults and 2 children was spacious and confortable but very noisy in summer, when you need to keep the windows open because there is no air conditioning. The breakfast was pricey for what you get, no variety. And the dinner is very good for adults, although expensive. The menu for children is the same food they have for adults but in smaller portions. Not really for kids. Definitely not a family friendly place.

I spent a night here with my family and we also had dinner. Food is very good, great cusine and good value for money. Also kid’s menu is well prepared. Definitely the place to dine if you pass here!

Very nice and quiet Hotel! Incredibly beautiful rooms (suppose every room is different) - I had the one with open bath tub and panorama view to the yard and felt like back in the middle age, but with nowadays upgrades. Very friendly staff and nice breakfast. The bed was comfortable, room was dead quiet but it was out of season. I had a refreshing and relaxing stay and would come again!

We loved staying at le Potin Gourmand. The room (Avril) was large, very comfortable and warm, with a balcony overlooking the fabulous medieval courtyard, The staff are friendly and welcoming. Not a thing for a so called Michelin restaurant. The cremant was too warm and we got the wrong wine. We ordered a bottle from 2017 and got a bottle from 2016. Which we found strange since the 2106 bottle was barred on the menu. We payed €12 more for a bottle we didn’t order. We didn’t have the time to ask another one since the bottle was quickly opened. Very. Quickly. As for dinner: very very poor quality. Also here the same “money” issue. I ordered steak Rossini which was €5 supplement because of a slice of foie grass. I folded him I wouldn’t be eating the foie and if I could have the dish without it. That was possible. But when we saw the bill the €5 supplement was on it. When you walk in the Hella backin toilet you see a line of stairs and a beautiful brown toilet (my favourite no joke) to sit up on and have a wonderful time. Now is a good time to mention something important about Hella backin: he doesnt get payed with human cash, but the owner pays him with something more valuable, space chupi's (a lollipop filled with weed #smokeweedeveryday). My only recommendation is to put more art in the restaurant, specifically a painting with a gorilla smoking weed, and a stretched LSD lion. For the rest this was the best experience of my life that I will ever have. Definitely coming back. (Mostly for Hella backin). ❤️

Rude staff! Wow!! I came to this place between 1.45 and 1.50pm in the afternoon. They told me it's closed although the place was still packed and officially closes at 2pm. Then I asked if I could order a pizza for take-away which takes no time to prepare. The answer was a rude "No". Then I asked whether I could use the toilet, and can you imagine?! The answer was a "NO" on my face!! So extremely rude I have never been treated at any restaurant on this whole planet! This place needs boycotting! The success is obviously going to their heads! We dined at the Hôtel de l'Abbaye restaurant recently. It was superb. The Charolais filet de boeuf was possible the best steak I've eaten anywhere. Every course was exemplary. We visited the restaurant for a special meal before starting to head north for home. The food was exquisite and well priced - the staff were attentive without being pushy - we will definitively be back. This is definitely a place to try whenever you are in Cluny.
