The Racine Art Museum is a modern facility that showcases various crafts, including jewelry, furniture, and glassware. Visitors can obtain complimentary admission for up to one week with a valid library card. The museum houses rotating exhibits such as the Peeps show each spring and provides ample space for patrons to explore at their leisure. The staff is knowledgeable, and the lighting and spacing of displays are well-executed. The gift shop features works by local artists in an aesthetically pleasing manner.
The Racine Art Museum is a little gem of a museum in downtown Racine and worth the trip. I live in Racine and am recently retired, so I figured I should start visiting more places in my own community. I even became a member at my visit, which is nice because I went to the Peeps exhibit twice, now that I can go for free. The Peeps exhibit was exceptional, very unique, and worth the visit. But there's so much more (and we didn't even have time to see it all!). There was a wonderful exhibit in their main gallery from a husband-wife duo. In one of the other galleries they had an exhibit of collage involving found objects which was also great. We looked at everything with a careful eye and an open mind and enjoyed the experience. Overall, it was time well spent and made for an engaging afternoon. People who think there's nothing to do in Racine aren't trying hard enough.

First time here in many years. What a wonderful art museum if you only want to spend a couple of hours. Exhibits change often, and I think there is something for everyone. Located in the downtown area. Plenty of street parking and very close to the lake.
Lauren L — Google review
Been going to this museum during the PEEPS show on Easter for years now. It is an awesome family fun event. The rest of the museum is just ok, but this exhibit it's my kid's favorite! They are also right by the lake, so you can go for a walk by lake Michigan afterwards.

Just stopped in Racine to have lunch with someone and realized I hadn't been to the Racine Art Museum. What a treat, I happened to visit on a great day. The second floor renovation was done and the current fabrics exhibit up there by Randall Darwall was fabulous. There was also beautiful jewelry and a ceramics exhibit along with a few other items. The space the museum occupies is 100% part of the experience. The building really lends itself to the art and helps provide exactly the right mood, tone and setting to enjoy whatever you are viewing. The gift shop for any art museum fan is like the cherry on top. I know while I'm strolling through enjoying all a museum has to offer in the back of my mind I'm wondering what the gift shop may have. The gift shop at RAM does not disappoint. They have an exquisite display which was carefully thought out and many items to choose from. Racine is not too far from where I live and a bonus to traveling there, you can hit up O & H Bakery on your way home for some kringle. That's a different review though 😁 If you haven't been to RAM and have put it off, delay no longer. The staff is wonderful and so helpful. The price is right and you can take anyone, it's just the right size a museum. It's not too big and not too small. Depending on your interest in the current exhibit you could walk through in an hour or hour and a half. They have elevators for anyone who can't stairs climb and restrooms and plenty of chairs for those who may need to rest a minute.

A lovely museum in downtown racine. They have events and kind staff in the front. There are two floors and good artwork. Lots of jewelry and fun special exhibits like a peeps exhibit. 4 stars because it could be larger.
David H — Google review
A critical art museum, meeting place and cultural experience in downtown Racine. Today was part of an artist tour and conversation with an extremely diverse group of my local area citizens that was wonderful and amazing. The staff and curator are warm, super smart and perfect welcoming hosts. Go here!

I'm a crafter, so this museum was ideal. The glass blowing exhibition was my favorite part. Reading about the processes used was fascinating. The only downside is that now I want to learn glass-blowing.

Request a free pass from the library with valid library card! Good for up to one week (one time use) and admits two adults and children. Small museum but can easily spend an hour or so viewing the works, including rotating exhibits such as the popular Peeps show each spring.

The Racine Heritage Museum, housed in a former Carnegie library, offers a diverse range of history exhibits and educational programs. Visitors can delve into the city's involvement in the Underground Railroad and learn about the Racine Belles' triumph in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. The museum also showcases the city's historic architecture and nearby attractions like the Racine Art Museum.
Free admission very nice exhibits. They currently have a great.one on Frank Lloyd Wright's early career.

Interesting slice of history. The boat information on the second floor was well presented. The Frank Lloyd Wright display was educational, though part was under construction. Nice use of old library building.

Awesome little free museum. Learned a lot about Racine. Loved the current exhibition ‘Frank Before the Lloyd’ about Frank Lloyd Wright’s early years.

If you love the movie League of Their Own, then you will enjoy the baseball displays.

I’d love to research the history of my historical home, but as a wheelchair user, every floor of their building is completely inaccessible to me. The records are free to search for able-bodied people, but they’re charging disabled people a whopping $35/hr for a volunteer to search on their behalf. Minimum wage in WI is $7.25. They’re charging almost a 5x multiple on that because their building is inaccessible. They’re literally profiting off of their inaccessibility, at the expense of the disabled, many of whom are on very small, fixed incomes. It’s completely unethical. On principle, I’m not paying their fees to access info that’s free for those who aren’t disabled, so I just don’t get to learn about the history of my Racine neighborhood and the beautiful home I’ve bought. **Edit to respond to the museum’s response: Nothing on your site advertises the free 15min search you spoke of in your response, nor has that been offered in my communications with museum archivists and management. Your own site states, “Quick Searches are 15-minute searches for a reduced fee about one person or topic and include three photocopies mailed or emailed.”

We really enjoyed our visit here. They had a fun duck scavenger hunt. We spent 20 minutes looking for the last duck. Lol. It's a free museum. Which really helps out a mom of 4 kids. We went here again today just my son and I and had fun looking for the ducks again. 😀😀

Masterpiece. Beautiful house. The hosts/staff were very inviting and helpful. Will be back in the Summer to experience all of the green nature. Make sure you have reservations as that is the only way you can tour this one of a kind piece of art.
TK — Google review
Ahhh Wingspread… we need to chat a bit. I thought it was a bit odd at first that there were not any reviews from the actual retreat or conference center part and just the tour of Wingspread. Which made it a bit hard to prepare for my trip. Had I known about the menu, I would have brought snacks. Y’all kept this girl hungry! But that’s getting ahead of things now. Upon arriving it’s a bit confusing not knowing that there are actually 3 different buildings (technically 4). Kind of thought it was all 1 the way we were led to believe and how it’s just called “Wingspread”. Coming & going seemed to be frowned upon based on the gate closer and the security guard – who knew!? Although, had I not run out for brunch earlier that day the shuttles wouldn’t have known how to get in later that night when we returned from our tour late that first night. Luckily I remembered the code on the pad and shouted it from the back of the bus for our driver. Our schedule was jam packed and created from our side of things but let’s just say it started early and lasted late around the campfire. Leaving very little time for alone time or exploring, as you kept recommending… Every. Single. Meal. I. had. Was. Ice. Cold. And let me tell you, they weren’t all salads! From the first breakfast of ice-cold bacon and weird churro pancakes to my ice-cold filet mignon. I’m also someone who has to watch how much sugar I eat/have. That being said, almost everything was filled with sugar. Especially the snacks! What I wouldn’t have given for a cheese plate!! My biggest recommendation is to honestly bring snacks. I felt like I was pretty much living on Wine and popcorn. Because the meat was always cold. My favorite food? Probably that the marshmallows were individually packaged and separate from the graham crackers & chocolate. Again, sugar. A floor pantry? Have you ever met a person who needs morning coffee to function, let alone magically go from the walking dead to talking to real, live people?! I’m that person. Everyone was warned for day 2. The walk to the coffee pot was an extreme one, that you filled with many hurdles if you think about a morning routine. Recommendation: Bring a coffee pot & coffee if you want it in your room. Now, don’t get me wrong – your grounds are gorgeous! No doubt about it. I also could never find a trash can to save my life. I was always needing to ask to throw something away. Never knew I had that much trash until I couldn’t find a trash can… The best part and highlight of my week there? The staff! HANDS DOWN!! I had a blast with your staff!! They made the resort feel like home instantly! Casey was the brightest smile, biggest heart, best turkey hunter (we really just ran away screaming), always down for a dance party (glitter shoes and all!), most colorful and I just wanted to scoop him up and bring him home with me! Pauline was our top notch bar tender, hardworking and always down for a laugh! She was honestly there every time I turned a corner. Which, you know perfectly well there are a ton of corners on property. Greg was a delight every encounter and wonderfully attentive. Even Carole was great… chocolate stealer and all. (it’s a joke, she didn’t really steal it.)
Katie K — Google review
Fun fact: The pool, which is 25 by 125, is the same size as the ‘standard Chicago lot’. So what most families, or multiple families, would purchase in Chicago, this family was swimming in!! A very interesting house by Frank Lloyd Wright and the stories that are included in the tour are a lot of fun! Definitely recommend that you go! The deal is even sweetened a little more considering it is free! Try to go to the SC Johnson Tour first if you can.
Joe C — Google review
Stopped without a prior reservation in the tour. Amanda the docent was SUPERB ... invited us in ... Made us feel like family. Gave us the rules and set us loose on the property till the next tour started. Amanda also was the host for the tour. She was very well informed humorous and very personable. She truly made out unanticipated visit golden.
Edward M — Google review
This free tour was pretty short but worth taking. You’re able to walk around most of the house, which is great, and the architecture is beautiful! I spent about 45 mins there and there is a 20 minute video as well as a 10-15 minute verbal tour.
John I — Google review
Home tour includes video of recollection of children who lived there. Self-guided otherwise. Photos inside and outside are allowed.

Racine Public Library is a hidden gem in Racine, offering a well-organized space with children's books on the first level and adult collections on the second. The library boasts incredible views of the lake and provides plenty of parking. It features an area for kids to play with educational toys, making it a highlight for families. Additionally, the library offers a vast collection of books, board games, and video games.
This is great library. One of the hidden gems of Racine. Well organized. Children's books are on the first level and adults are on the second. The views out the windows towards the lake are incredible! It is super clean. Easy to find. Plenty of parking. If you have young children or grandchildren (like us), the first level is the highlight of this library. There is an area where kids can play. All kinds of constructive, educational, and fun toys. There are even a few computers for them to play educational games on. Our granddaughter loves going to the library... Especially when they have reading time. I highly recommend going to the Racine Public Library.

Absolutely love the Racine Public Library! It's a true gem in the community. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with finding books or recommending new reads. The library's collection is extensive, and there’s something for everyone—whether you’re looking for the latest bestsellers, children's books, or resources for research. The space itself is clean, bright, and welcoming, with plenty of comfortable seating to read or work. Plus, the events and programs they offer are top-notch, catering to all ages and interests. Highly recommend this library—it's a perfect spot to get lost in a good book or engage with the community! Thanks Racine and Library Team!
Aaron M — Google review
A true community gem — The library is an incredible free resource that offers so much more than books. It’s a welcoming space where everyone can connect, learn, and relax. I especially enjoy checking out the latest magazines, joining in for adult coloring and Coffee & Conversation, and of course, getting lost in a good book. Shoutout to the second-floor staff for always being kind and helpful—they make every visit even better.

Book mobile is a complete joke. The lady definitely doesn't want to be there. the first time she locked the door and said they were on break throw the screen. But I could drive across town to the next spot in 40mins when they leave. Then on another day she was more worried about smoking outside and playing on her phone. Then when she did come in she didn't even say a word nor did the man. They were very rude and stand offish. I asked the woman about some books and she did know where to find any kind of books. She was totally clueless. Like is was her first time stepping in there or something. She could read anything. It was like she was struggling. I had to find my own books. I tried to conversant with both of them and nothing. Then I left with my kids and the women came right back out behind my to continue to smoke her cigarette and go back on her phone. That's the last thing someone wants to see walking up with kids to the door. Is walking up to cigarette some in front of the door with everyone to see.
Jessica S — Google review
I just can't give this place a 1 star, even though I really want to because I'm so angry right now. I love my library card, I get so many digital books from here that I very rarely need to purchase new ones. I don't check out books from the actual library very often, and now I'm regretting doing so... so here comes the part where I'm so frustrated. I checked out an older book called The Idiots guide to.... ( I don't even remember what), and also another one by Dorothy Koomson ( great author btw) Sadly I put them on my book shelf at home and forgot about them. When I noticed there was a block on my card, I realized the reason why. I grabbed both books that have been on my very clean bookshelf for way too long and I returned them. Here's my mistake, I should have walked in and returned them, because what happened next would NOT have happened otherwise. They returned the Koomson book( which was quite literally right next to the other one on my shelf), but they claimed the other one had water damage and mold... MOLD!!! There is absolutely 100 percent no way there was mold or water damage to that book, and if there were any sort of damage, it was already done when I checked it out, because.. number 1, I never even opened the book, and number 2, how the heck would that book be the only book on my whole shelf that suddenly had "water damage and mold?" So, I spilled water, and the only book on my whole shelf (which has 100s of books on it) was the one from the library?? Yes it's my fault for returning it so late, and years ago that would have been a hefty fine, so yes I'll just pay it because I can't have my account blocked, but I am just so angry that I checked out an older book, which probably already had damage and now I'm getting blamed for it. The sad thing is, they won't even let me have the book back because of this mysterious "mold", because they coincidentally just happened to have thrown it away. If this were a restaurant I would never ever go back, but sadly I am a book freak and I need this library to feed my addiction for free😀 So word of advice to everyone.. check over your books when you check them out and make sure any damage is noted, and when you return it, return it in person so some incompetent employee can't accuse you of damaging a book that you did not damage. MOLD?? SERIOUSLY RACINE LIBRARY, GET REAL.
Laura M — Google review
Just to use to the public computer's is insane with the patron s keeping up loud noise, you who can't focus on what there trying to do. "Quiet time always in a library." Escort the rudeness out! The lady tells me that the noise the guys are keeping up is exceptbale here in the library. That's a lot of out burst. She goes on to tell that don't even have a library card, I'm visiting here in this state, it shouldn't matter if I have a library card or not, I came to use the library for a job application that needed to be submitted the day of. She needs to be fired .
Isis A — Google review
Very helpful and friendly staff. And it seems like you can renew your books endlessly. I renewed a bunch of them over a period of six months!!
Azure K — Google review
Terrible place. You cant even browse in peace. They allow drug addicts to sit at their computers and cry loudly, disrupting other people there to do things. When approached and kindly told about said disturbances they brush you off and say "oh so and so is always here". And? My children should not be subjected to their addiction behaviors. Period. This is a family establishment not a shelter or a rehab facility. Period. Also, educate your employees. We went though and ENTIRE 20 mins talking with a girl that works there about renting out a milwaukee county zoo pass that she said they had available. She said they had to basically request it from another library and that it would be there for us to pick up in a couple days and they would call to let us know. A couple days passed and no call. So we call. The employee we spoke to said that they dont do that and the the library in Janesville the previous employee requested it from, doesn't do that either. Really?! Why waste our time? Unbelievable. THEN I typed up an entire page for a court document I needed. The same ignorant employee said it wasn't sent to the printer and she had no pending document for it. So I went and retyped the WHOLE thing because I had logged off. I then go to the desk and a different employee was there and said the other document had been there the WHOLE time. So I wasted another 40 mins of my time. This place is a joke.

SC Johnson Global Headquarters in Racine is a must-visit for architecture enthusiasts, especially fans of Frank Lloyd Wright. The free tours offer a glimpse into the stunning Administration building with its 43 miles of glass pyrex windows and the historic Golden Rondelle Theater. Visitors can explore rotating displays about Wright, visit the Frank Lloyd Wright Research Library, and watch documentaries at The Golden Rondelle Theater and Fortaleza Hall.
I’ve been living in the Racine area for nearly two years and I finally signed up for the SC Johnson headquarters tour. It’s free, so can’t beat that for sure. Took about two hours, there was lots to see for sure. Tons of history here both for Racine and globally. They bring you through a cute little gift shop if you want to purchase some items. Photos are strictly forbidden inside the structures.
Dylan C — Google review
The Johnson Wax building is probably one of Frank Lloyd Wright’s crowning achievements. Because of its location, you do have to make somewhat of an effort to tour the building, and I wish SC Johnson understood this and made more of an effort on their part. I understand that this is still a business and the headquarters of a global conglomerate. Restrictions are prudent, but there could be some additional accommodations: The tour starts at the Golden Rondel. This is an auditorium used to screen films. The tour guide even mentions the film SC Johnson produced that won an Oscar. Why not screen that for the tour? Instead, we never saw the interior of the Rondel. No photos of the interior were allowed. Again, understandable. So why is there not a nice photography book produced by SC Johnson, available at the gift shop (which itself left a lot to be desired)? The tour guide, while well versed in Johnson lore, only knew a bit about Wright and the design and construction of the building. This seems like an opportunity to have some sort of Wright docent for touring duties. I can assure you, the people making the trek to Racine are there for the building, not for the corporate history of Raid. The building itself was magnificent, and so much more than I expected. The few times we were allowed to simply roam were the high point of the tour. I hope someday SC Johnson will revamp how they present this treasure to the world.

Review for the SC Johnson Tour Visiting the SC Johnson campus was truly an inspiring experience and one that left me filled with gratitude and awe. The tour itself was wonderfully organized and offered a glimpse into a family and a company that have gone above and beyond in honoring those who help and serve them—better known as their employees. Hearing about the company’s employee profit-sharing program and their annual celebrations of employee success was truly heartwarming. It’s rare to see a business so deeply committed to its people, but SC Johnson has woven this commitment into its legacy. Their story of refusing to lay off anyone during the Great Depression, ensuring every employee still received a paycheck, is a remarkable testament to their compassion and values. That spirit of care continues today, and it’s inspiring to see it upheld in an age where such loyalty is rare. The stories of their employees traveling to places like Brazil, the use of planes for innovative purposes, and the sheer joy of celebrating shared success were incredible to hear. SC Johnson’s history is not just about products but about people—and their dedication to preserving that story is evident everywhere you look. Of course, the primary purpose of the visit was to see the incredible works of Frank Lloyd Wright, and they did not disappoint. Walking through these architectural masterpieces was breathtaking. But what truly surprised me—and touched me—was the overwhelming sense of inclusion, generosity, and commitment that radiates from this family and company. The detail, care, and love they’ve poured into their facilities reflect their respect for their legacy and their employees. It must have been a joy for employees to walk into those spaces daily, surrounded by an atmosphere that balances innovation with history so elegantly. I also want to thank God for the creation of this remarkable family and the gifts they have shared with the world. From their Ziploc bags that preserve Thanksgiving leftovers to products like Off! that protect us during summer camping trips, their innovations touch countless lives in ways they probably can’t even imagine. For me, their products even help me bring food to the homeless, which feels like an extension of their mission of service and care. The impeccable cleanliness of the facilities, the remarkable preservation of history, and the outstanding knowledge and friendliness of the tour guides made this visit unforgettable. Their work is truly a reflection of their commitment to excellence and community. SC Johnson’s story—now five generations of leadership and six generations of family involvement—continues to be written, and what a beautiful story it is. Thank you to God, the Johnson family, and everyone who contributes to this company day in and day out. You’ve not only helped keep America sparkling but have made our lives different and better through your care and creativity. This tour was more than just an opportunity to see a building—it was a chance to see a purpose-driven legacy in action.

Excellent tour! Must see if you’re stopping through the area. Great mix of SCJ history and FLW history. Tricia was a great tour guide! I just wish it was a little longer to enjoy the gallery a bit more and read more of the history of the family and brand. But still a Perfect Father’s Day trip.

FREE tour. (We did Frank Lloyd Wright tour) The best part about this is that you can see inside buildings and get a glimpse into life in the 50s and such. It's a living relic and I'm so glad they've done a great job with keeping it all intact. There are stairs, a 30 minute video, and a bathroom break - they keep you well informed. 2 hours total and goes by very fast. You cannot take pictures inside.

Important item to know: No internal photography allowed on any of the tours. Several signs stating it so I don’t think the policy is going to change anytime soon. Tip: Do try to sit in the chairs in the gathering room for the tour! You can sit in original FLW office chairs which you can’t do on the tour. The tour is pretty great! Totally recommend it! Amazing that the tower and so many parts of the main building are wrapped in glass tubes.

I love this building. This has been on my bucket list for years. Tour was great, guide was very knowledgeable. A lot to see. I really wish we could have taken photos inside the administration building and research tower since they are no longer occupied and there is no proprietary information in view. The Lily Pad gift shop should also have books related to the architecture of the buildings and perhaps gifts to purchase related to the architectural design. I’m very glad that the company does provide access to the public for free tours though, it is definitely something to see!

Hot Shop Glass Studio & Gallery in Racine offers a unique and fascinating experience with glass blowing and fusing classes. The studio, established by The Prairie School, has been open all year round since 1969. In 2005, it was restored from dilapidated stables to become a collaborative space for glass blowing artists. Visitors have had amazing experiences creating personalized glass pieces with the help of the talented Hot Shop crew.
My wife and i attended a glass fushion class here we had a really good time Mrs. Deidra made it educational and fun. We are visiting from Indiana and are eager to return for more fun there..i highly recommend sharing a class with a loved one.

Great place to be creative and make beautiful jewelry and art. Glass fusing and blowing just minutes from Milwaukee. I highly recommend this fine establishment.
Colleen M — Google review
Highly recommend this place! We went here for a glass fusing workshop, it was a 10/10 experience. Deanna was our teacher and she was very patient. Deanna noticed that my significant other was panicking and rushing because everyone else was done with their projects, she approached my S/O and told him to please take his time. We were the last workshop for the day and went over half an hour from the allotted time but Deanna was very kind and patient. We learned a lot from this workshop. We will definitely be doing this again and also gonna do the glass blowing workshop. FYI, for glass fusing you don’t get to take home your project the same day it would need to be at the kiln to fuse the glasses all together. You have the option to pick it up several days later or have it shipped.

If you are looking for a fun and different activity to do for a girls night, this is it. I've taken several of their classes, both glass blowing and fusing, and have not been disappointed by any. The instructors are very good, they are patient and very helpful. I have beautiful pieces of art that I like to display. Thank you so much!!

My sister and I attended a glass blowing class and absolutely loved it! It was such a unique experience, the staff is so friendly and there are many color options to choose from. Highly recommend, will be back for another class!

Where do I start? My experience with Hot Glass Shop has been nothing short of amazing! I had two Memorial Globes made in honor of my late father. Originally thought it would take a month for these pieces to come back but Dan had them finished in time for my moms birthday on March 11. What a surprise! She was speechless at how perfect both pieces turned out! Dan was so wonderful to work with and the pieces he made us are truly perfection! All the artists are so talented… I now own 7 pieces and am signed up for two of their classes! I look forward to having memorial pieces made for all my siblings! Thank you so much for being so amazing! The pictures are the memorial pieces…

My fiancé and I came from out of town to attend a glass blowing class and we left the hot shop giddy & amazed! This was such a wonderful, delightful, and positive experience. The instructors were so welcoming and awesome teachers. We would come again in a heartbeat, and recommend anyone else who is looking for a fun experience!

This local theater was wonderful! The two of us arrived a few minutes late (which is never done), but we were kindly guided into the theater anyway. The actors were so professional, staying focused and making the performance fun for the audience. We were passing through Racine, but we sure felt a sense of community. Thank you, Racine Theater Guild for a wonderful night.

SC Johnson Golden Rondelle is a unique attraction that offers a free tour filled with history, adventure, and amazing architecture. Visitors can explore the three buildings on the campus, including an art gallery-style hallway and gift shops featuring exclusive SC Johnson memorabilia and brand merchandise. The facility also showcases Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired items and discussions about his collaboration with SC Johnson and city developers.
Awesome tour and fantastic guides. I arrived early and was offered a movie prior to the tour, which made all the difference.
Pam H — Google review
The architecture is incredible. Unfortunately, photos inside are forbidden because there are many fascinating corners that have terrific instagrammable potential. Beyond the F L Wright impact, the story of the Johnson family legacy is interesting albeit a tad propogandist. But don't let that dissuade you from a visit. It is a unique experience. The tour is not 100% wheelchair accessible but what i was able to see / learn, i do not feel like i missed out on too much.

Wow! Didn’t expect the great tour and such beautiful buildings and updates with solar panels and geothermal!!

The free tour was way more interesting than I had expected. Full of history, adventure and amazing architecture. Sat in a Frank Lloyd Wright designed desk. Little fast through some of the sections, but, only if you are trying to read everything. Finish in the main hall under a Sea Plane used to fly to South America. Retrace the route in a parquet floor map.

Very valuable tour experience, it toolkits 90 mins here to see the greatest art work made by Fran Lloyd Wright . Tour guide Tricia is a wonderful lady , her nice detail guiding making people easy understanding. Must visit in Racine. Can’t take pictures inside the building, but still feeling good.

I visited for several 8th-grade field trips for the Zero Waste. This was the first time I've been there. The ladies who led the field trip part for the students were really awesome. I enjoyed that very much. As far as the gallery itself, it seems very much like a popularity contest rather than an art show as there were some art pieces in there that my sixth graders could have done better. It appeared more of a political statement than showing actual good art and I have to admit that annoyed me very much. But as for the field trip, it was brilliant. My photo below is of my favorite art piece. It was amazing.

Nice museum and place to go for fun. They have art in the hallway entrance and then tons of art in the back home. Its an old home in the back that has been transformed into a museum. The lights turn on and off when you enter to save energy. They also have tons of good art with glass, paint, acrylic, etc. Great place to visit. Nice people at front desk.

The Racine County Clerk of the Circuit Court oversees the review and approval of exterior changes for local historic districts and landmarks. The City of Racine Planning, Heritage, and Design Commission is responsible for approving these changes, with minor repairs or routine maintenance being handled by the City Development Department staff if they align with the Design Guidelines. The city has several properties designated as locally historic. Additionally, the clerk's office provides compassionate support during difficult times such as extending marriage licenses in cases of family deaths.
Racine courts had massive compassion for myself and my husband when there was a death in the family, they extended our marriage license for us, and were all very kind. Such a great staff there. Thank you!

As everyone else has stated, no one ever picks up the phone or returns calls. They are either unconcerned with the service they provide or understaffed. But they are for sure not underpaid. they work barley half a year, keep shortened hours and never show up or on time for anything. The excuse is always accepted if it's from one of their staff. Hold these people in contempt of court. Start accessing them fines and throw them in jail. Maybe that will get them to be more concerned about the work they do.
Jason K — Google review
They don’t answer the phone better off going in …. Lazy people they have working
Jericho J — Google review
Only reason I'm giving two starts is because the helpful security officers downstairs. Hours say they are open until 4:30pm. Well don't plan on doing anything after 4:00pm. Took time off of work to get there before they close and not able to even get it done. If your only open until 4, put that on the hours. So working people can take enough time off to get there.
Ashley H — Google review
Been trying to reach the court during it's office hours for 2 weeks to pay a citation. 1st call and I hear someone pick up and then they hang up immediately. Finally picks up on the 3rd call and forwards me a number to follow up to pay my fine - I call that number and that contracting company does not even know how much I owe??? So I call back to the court immediately and 3 rings is the max. Agree with everyone on this review board ^
Bouafue T — Google review
No one answers the phone there ! Called several time through the day and nothing
BTB D — Google review
Not too bad. I arrived to traffic court 30 minutes before my scheduled time, waited over two hours and was one of the last ones called. I was told it was first come first serve, but a lot of people who got there after me went first. The lady I spoke with from the DA’s office was friendly enough, although she seemed a little tired and stressed. She asked how I was doing; and seemed really surprised when I responded “good, how are you” and smiled. I’d say maybe have more people working traffic court, the ones that were there seemed really overwhelmed. Also it smelled really bad in the court room, maybe some air fresheners would help.
Blake E — Google review
I arrived at the window at 4:50 to pay a ticket. (A ticket I only found out about through my insurance agent) I was informed that to pay a fine I needed to arrive by 4;45 or maybe earlier as that is when they close down. Maybe you should post that somewhere forple driving in from our of town so we don't waste an hour of our day driving for you to refuse our money.

The Thomas P. Hardy House, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, is a stunning example of his work from 1905. The house features a unique Japanese-style symmetry and showcases Wright's signature horizontal emphasis, stucco exterior, and overhanging roof that seamlessly blends with its natural surroundings near Lake Michigan. Although not open for tours at the moment, recent interior photos reveal many of Wright's characteristic design elements.
Thomas P. Hardy House, 1905 Prairie - great example of FLW's work of the time: horizontal emphasis, stucco exterior, overhang roof and overall thoughtful fit into it's surrounding nature. Perfect home to be adjacent to beautiful Lake Michigan. There were no tours of the home at the time of visit. Recent photos of the interior show many of FLW's typical details. Stopped by after a visit to other nearby Frank Lloyd Wright designs which are listed below. Located in Racine's Southside Historic District, the Thomas P. Great, overall experience. Treated with respect and a friendly greeting. The atmosphere looking out into the lake was an added bonus. Our waitress was super busy but always checked on us when she walked by. The watermelon salad is a fabulous salad. Added chicken, makes for a very large meal. Tasted great the day after too. Desserts are divine.

Waitress was friendly and checked on us often. We went early evening on a very cold day so there weren’t many people there. The Food came out in under 10 min. We ordered the loaded tater tot appetizer just as is- no extras. I was a little disappointed with the amount of jalapeños but my mom reminded me not everyone can handle them whole. Over all it was delicious. I kept going back to it even after my meal arrived. I ordered the garlic shrimp skewers which tasted more like slimy shrimp they could have been grilled a tad longer and the garlic butter was mostly spilled on my plate so hard to dip my shrimp in since it hardened. But the coleslaw was good and hushpuppies were delicious. My mom had the ribs and they came with 8 different sauces. Portions were large, she only ate half the ribs and half her baked potato. Our favorite sauce for the ribs was the rootbeer BBQ. I would return for the atmosphere but would order something other than the shrimp.
Shayla M — Google review
Really enjoyed the food, service, and atmosphere overall. The not-as-good-as-expected parts were the ho-hum coleslaw and weak margaritas. Oh yes, the hush puppies were a table favorite and the root beer BBQ sauce was very tasty.

What an awesome spot to enjoy a meal and drinks! We stopped in on a whim while passing through town, not knowing what to expect, and were pleasantly surprised to find live music playing. We got seated outside with a great view overlooking the boats, which made the atmosphere even better. Our waitress was super friendly and welcoming. Since we were in Wisconsin, we had to start with an order of cheese curds — they were cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious! For my meal, I ordered the smoked chicken tacos. Be sure to come hungry, because the portions are very generous. The tacos were flavorful, filling, and hit the spot. Overall, a wonderful experience that I’d happily recommend to anyone traveling through!

This is a rare restaurant that truly combines great good with a spectacular Lake Michigan and Reefpoint Marina view. I should admit that I went there for the Cioppino and it didn't disappoint. As you can see from the picture I am posting, it's a very generous portion of mussels, scallops, shrimp and fish. I honestly think the ingredients in the dish would cost the restaurant more than what they charge their customers. I am definitely going back. Very highly recommended.

Nestled along the picturesque shores of Lake Michigan, the DeKoven Center boasts a rich history that dates back to its origins as Racine College in 1852. The center features stunning historic buildings and beautifully landscaped grounds, making it an ideal venue for special events like weddings. Couples rave about the charm of this location and appreciate the dedicated staff, particularly Nicole Miller, who is known for her exceptional attention to detail and commitment to ensuring every wedding day is memorable.
Attention all brides —— if you’re thinking of booking DeKoven for a wedding, do it! Aside from the charming venue and prime location, Nicole Miller was one of our main reasons for booking DeKoven as our wedding venue. From the moment we met Nicole, she showed such passion and care for managing the execution of weddings. I don’t know the amount of times I’ve emailed Nicole with a crazy add on or request, but she handled every response with professionalism, grace and so much care for making our day special. I feel like I’ve known Nicole for years and she truly takes pride in ensuring brides/grooms are set up for success on their wedding day. I was lucky enough to attend WMAW (Western Martial Arts Workshop) at the DeKoven Center in Racing, WI. The location is absolutely beautiful. Everything about the site, from the amazing gothic architecture, to the well manicured courtyard, shaded by old majestic trees, to the hourly tolling of the bell tower, make it feel like being transported to another world, or at least to another age. The center is built alongside Lake Michigan, if you have the opportunity, wake up early and watch the sunrise over the lake, I promise, it is worth the (very slight) effort. The staff are all friendly, polite, and professional, and absolutely go out of their way to make sure to be helpful and accommodating. If you are planning an event, and want a location that is beautiful, comfortable, and memorable, I strongly recommend considering the DeKoven Center!

I paid months in advance i only wanted the ceremony their to take pictures and i barely got any very rude unporfessional .This is the one day that should have went smoothly an because of the manager Wendy we were told to leave so quickly that alot of stuff was left behind.

We had the most beautiful wedding at the Masonic Center! We booked it for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception without a single hiccup throughout the entire day. Wendy, the director for events, was so helpful and made everything so easy while planning. ***The LIBRARY AND *DEMSKE* AS DIRECTOR*** Was just browsing as a patron at my visit to the library last week and spoke with two people at the reference desk; a tall bearded boy wearing a red shirt, and a young short girl who was assisting me with researching mental health. As I walked away I HEARD BOTH OF THEM CALLING ME PSYCHOTIC AND THEY WERE GOSSIPING ABOUT THE MENTAL HEALTH QUERIES I HAD ASKED. After I walked away. This library and its DEI is still a disappointment . And, I’m sorry to the girl at the desk who stated that my ‘story’ was so boring for her. Why is mental health 💚 still so stigmatized especially by this library and its employees? What gives them the right to judge ANYONE?

Visitors are treated to an architectural marvel with features like a rainforest wall and waterfall. The building also houses significant company artifacts such as the famous plane Carnuba.

Lord Norman Foster, Architect, 2021. Elliptical building with hardwood floor parquet of the Americas, depicting the Johnsons' reconstructed plane and 2 family trips, finding and rediscovering the OG and then planted Connauba palms , the progenitor of the Johnson Wax. 1960s Memorial trip skipped communist Cuba with the first trip stopping in Habana. Family History Museum on the east side, underground and not disturbing the lawn and view to the Frank Lloyd Wright 1939 Johnson Research Tower and Administration Building, and bridging executive suite. To the west in Fortaleza, also on the lower level, is a museum of Wright 's houses shown in photos and models; and site specific furniture. Downstairs, too, is a gift shop.

It was a beautiful hall in its day. The city has done a good job at keeping it up, but it seems too large to maintain as it's not kept very clean. Bathrooms are in the lower level, there is no appropriate baby changing area. The beauty of the hall can still be admired and I'm glad it's still in use.

I signed my lease in October 2024 after being assured that electric vehicle charging stations would be available. However, upon moving in, I discovered that this amenity was not provided and was told to expect updates in November. As of January, despite multiple follow-ups, the promised charging service has still not been implemented. Additionally, other advertised amenities are either unavailable or not up to standard. The management has been unresponsive to my concerns, and no accommodations or compensations have been offered for the missing services. I advise prospective renters to verify the availability of advertised amenities before signing a lease here.
