American restaurant
Event venue
Timothy O’Toole’s Pub Gurnee is an Irish American bar and restaurant located on Grand Avenue. Established in 1992, it's a family-owned pub with multiple locations in the Chicagoland area. The pub offers a family-friendly atmosphere with a wide selection of American eats, over 30 draft beers, and specialty cocktails. The menu features classic dishes like wings as well as unique options such as 'Irish' nachos.
Great food flavor and service. We came for a business lunch and ordered the Spicy Blackened Chicken Melt and the Greektown Steak Salad Bowl (which I had). We got seated right away (no wait at all). I will return here for sure.
Temo — Google review
Overall a pretty good experience both times I’ve been. The food was incredible both times, however, the service made us feel as though we were a burden each time. Probably wouldn’t drive out of my way to go again because of the service, but it was great food.
Brandon B — Google review
Ordered pickup for a garlic burger, pretzel bites, mac & chicken, and a bowl of French onion soup. What I actually got was…a thimble of soup. No exaggeration they handed me a dip sized cup that barely cleared 3 ounces. For $10. I’ve had cough syrup bottles with more volume. I called, thinking it had to be a mistake. The guy on the phone told me I must’ve received a “cup” instead of a bowl. Bro, if that’s a cup, then my shot glass is a mixing bowl. His followup? “Aww, do you want to come back?” Nah, I’ll save the gas money and just warn future victims here. Taste wise? Let’s just say if you’ve had a few beers, you might not notice how sad it is. But sober? You’ll realize you just paid fine dining prices for what amounts to a sample at Costco minus the flavor. Shame, really. I wanted dinner, not a snack.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Timothy O'Toole's in Gurnee, Illinois! This Irish pub is a gem. We tried the shepherd's pie, fish and chips, deviled eggs, and Reuben egg rolls, and every single dish was outstanding. The shepherd's pie was hearty and flavorful, the fish and chips were perfectly crispy, the deviled eggs had a delightful twist, and the Reuben egg rolls were a creative, delicious surprise. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with true Irish pub charm. The service was top-notch, and the food came out hot and fresh. Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving amazing comfort food with an Irish flair. Five stars all the way!

The waitress was great. The buffalo chicken spring rolls tasted great. However, my son didn't enjoy the orange chicken.
Jake-Cala M — Google review
I enjoyed the food, the variety 🤤 of the menu, the price is above average but worth it. 😉 I got Birria grilled cheese 🤔 & Birria bowl, which we disliked the corn tortillas. We didn't need a reservation for a party of 8! 🤗

Great pub food and lots of drink options. Great spot to catch a game and have a nice meal to go along. Classic pub style experience!

Always a great stop for a drink and a great Ruben. $1.50 for a side cup of mayonnaise is a little steep tho..

Takeout Restaurant
Giordano's is a casual chain known for its deep-dish pizza and classic Italian dishes, along with a selection of beer and wine. The restaurant offers an authentic Italian dining experience in a classy setting with warm ambiance and great lighting, creating a mystical atmosphere at night. It's a family-friendly place with clean and nicely decorated interiors. Customers praise the Chicago-style deep dish pizza for its unique flavor and excellent quality, while also enjoying well-textured dipping sauces that complement the appetizers perfectly.
Another great experience, i was at the Gurnee, IL locations Christia killed it with professionalism after getting stiffed on tip by a table, but he got taken care of ... Always pay it forward . Semper Fi
David D — Google review
Giordano’s has really good deep dish pizza. This was a really good experience for my first time visiting Chicago. I knew I could not leave Chicago without getting a deep dish pizza. For an appetizer, the sampler had a good variety of everything. It came with chicken nuggets, which were basically boneless wings, mozzarella sticks, cheesy garlic breadsticks, and bruschetta. Everything was excellent. I came in expecting a long wait for the pizza to come out, which is a good thing knowing it would be made fresh. I tried a plain cheese pie. It was very cheesy, and the sauce was fresh. The crust was thick and buttery. I would recommend this Giordano’s location to anyone in the area, especially if visiting Great America.
Lorenzo L — Google review
The service was super slow. We waited about 20 mins before the waiter greeted us and took our drink orders. We got the Chicago classic deep dish. I thought it needed more pepperonis. It wasn’t my favorite.
Zahra G — Google review
Large Stuffed Sausage and Mushroom Pizza was excellent. Lots of cheese just oozing out. Service was great from the lady who busses tables. My server was not so great. She only came to the table three times, once to bring the food, the second to see if everything was ok and the third to give me my bill. Then when she brought my change back, she short changed me my change. When I asked for my change, she gave me a smirk of a smile and said ok I’ll get it. With the lack of service and short changing me, I gave her a lot less of a tip. I gave my tip to the lady who busses tables.
Diane W — Google review
This is my favorite Chicago deep dish pizza! It’s so delicious! Super thick and full of cheese and toppings, they don’t skimp on ingredients.
Denny R — Google review
Great food and service to celebrate Navy graduation. This is what our Sailor wanted, deep dish pizza. Service was great. Food was excellent. Recommended for any time.
Angel G — Google review
The food was great, the service was not. My experience was not an instance of “it’s the kitchen not the server.” Our server was constantly on her phone, drinks took forever, completely forgot an entire pizza in our order. While they did comp the pizza, forgetting to put in an entire pizza that takes 40+ minutes to make and needing to have it due to the size of our party. As a server of many years, this experience was difficult to defend or understand. The food was great though.
Paris S — Google review
They have a wide variety on the menu. Of course since we’re from out of town we wanted to try the deep dish. The small was more than enough for 2. My only slight complaint is that even after waiting a while for the pizza (they tell you to expect 40 minutes) it wasn’t piping hot, just a little past warm. But the flavor was very good. We would go back if we were in town again.

Rainforest Cafe is a rainforest-themed chain restaurant that offers an exciting dining experience for both kids and adults. The restaurant features jungle flora and animatronic animals, creating a unique atmosphere. While the prices can be on the higher side, many find it worth the stop, especially while on vacation. The cafe also has a shop where visitors can purchase trinkets as souvenirs.
It had been a while since I visited a Rainforest Cafe. I figured my son would like the animals and atmosphere and that it would be somewhere different for us to go to dinner. What a visit though. Our server was Fabian. The young man is clearly at the top of his field. Checked on us numerous times, accommodated our requests and was beyond patient with us while my son was being a terror. 5 star service for sure. Anyone who's ever been to a RC knows that the atmosphere and decor is clearly unique and highly enjoyable. Robotic, yet realistically designed animals were everywhere, they ranged from gorillas, elephants, alligators, snakes, etc. Vines and trees covered the ceilings and there were some lighing effects on display during our meal as well. Attached to the restaurant was a small gift shoppe. Rasta Pasta was my choice for dinner, defined as a Pesto Alfredo. It was delicious and everything I wish I was capable of making at home. As delicious as my pasta was, my brother ordered a burger which looked huge and mouthwatering. He was willing to cut off a bite so I could try it, i don't know what blend of ground beef they use, but that hamburger may have very well been better than my pasta. Other things of note: The fish and chips portion was enormous. The fried fish was crispy and stacked like a mountain and the portions were like 8 inches in length. My son ate nearly everything on his plate, which is great because he's extremely picky. But he seemed to enjoy the mac and cheese. Cavatappi noodles were used in both my dinner and in the mac and cheese. The appetizer platter (cant remember the actual name) was the only thing we had tonight that just wasn't on the level of everything else. The southwestern egg rolls need to be stricken from the menu. While I had dined at other RC before (including this one) we were probably caught sleeping because Rainforest can be seen as a Tourist Trap kind of restaurant and generally those establishments are mostly forgettable. But during our visit and of my opinion, Rainforest Cafe absolutely shined in all fields.

Love the theme, makes it so different than other places. The food was really good too, and very filling. Definitely coming back. We had the Colleen as our server, such a fun nice vibe.

Server was great! She kept up with refills and was very attentive. The food was delicious! Hot and came out really quick! Loved the atmosphere and will definitely return in the future

Wonderful experience. I got the Beef Pot Roast and man was it TASTY!! They don't have a very wide selection, probably typical for Rainforest Café (my first time here), but I still liked what I got. There was also a gentleman who went around making balloon animals for the kids, and my niece and nephew loved it! They even allowed us to bring my little sister's homemade birthday cake and cut it for us. How lovely! PS. my brother and his wife are both vegetarian, but come here every year for their birthday so they must have decent veggie-friendly options.
Anna S — Google review
Absolutely loved the service here and the food, family friendly and great! The experience was an adventure! Definitely good for date night too! Came with my husband for the first time and the staff were so attentive! Had such a great time!!!! Jen was so great check on us and made sure we were good the whole time! What an amazing experience!!

The Rainforest Cafe is the perfect place to celebrate your loved ones and have a great time and great food. Our server, Philomena, was fantastic. She was very helpful with the menu and congratulated my son for graduating boot camp the moment she arrived. She was on time with food and drinks as well as very polite, upbeat and respectful. We will definitely come back and request her! Looking forward to our next visit out to try the other menu items she recommended.
Jenifer Z — Google review
I had a great time, I haven't been to a Rainforest Café since I was a child. Colleen, our waitress was very sweet and gave me a great experience. The food was also very delicious and I got to sit next the elephant too!
Imajin T — Google review
My waitress Makayla was the greatest today. She made the experience so welcoming for my wife me and my two little girls. she answered all the kids questions with enthusiasm and you could just see the twinkle in there eyes as they asked about all the different animals they seen. Thank you Makayla your the greatest

Stevens' is a traditional steakhouse that offers an extensive selection of martinis and wines in an elegant setting with pristine white tablecloths. This popular establishment provides a sophisticated atmosphere where patrons can enjoy their meals. The bar staff at Stevens' are highly skilled and provide exceptional service, ensuring that guests have a memorable experience. The menu boasts delicious-looking dishes, further enhancing the dining experience.
Took my wife here on her birthday this past March for our very first dining experience and was a pleasant first time around. My folks have been nagging me to take my wife here for the last couple of years being I seem to be taking her everywhere but here which is less than a 15 minute drive from our house in Beach Park. Good location and quiet compared to the busy Gurnee business district on Grand Ave. Food overall is good here with some familiar steak options and sides. It's the Lobster Risotto that I missed out on that my folks were raving about. The menu overall from entrees, apps, desserts, drinks seem to be at still reasonable prices despite today's economy. Service is wonderful in a rather lovely setting and I always strive to support local. As opposed to driving 30+ miles taking my wife to various steakhouse/seafood venues on special occasions, Stevens' is well worth the short drive and I hope for continued boomin' business for the owner(s).

Place was fantastic. Greeted and seated as soon as we walked in and told them the name on our reservation. Jimmy was our server and he recommended great wine pairings with our steaks. The Wellington was a tad bit overcooked (I asked for med rare) but it was actually the BEST Wellington I’ve ever had. I’m glad the chef did what they did, they basically changed my mind about the best way to consume a welly. The server who brought out the food was very polite. The atmosphere was great, a lot of laughter and good vibes to be had by all patrons; including the staff. We ended up buying a bottle of the wine Jimmy recommended and we couldn’t finish it, so he let us take it home in a wine to go bag. 10/10 amazing find and will return.

Last minute Saturday night booking and very happy this is where we ended up. Our waiter was excellent. Knowledgeable and personable. Timed our meal well. The menu is extensive and I would have been happy with at least a half dozen choices. Running some Oktoberfest specials. Good wine list. Reasonable portions. Flavorful. For a first time visit I was impressed. Our friends were repeats and happy as well. Bonus you can hear six flags roller coaster riders screaming while in the parking lot, so we passed on the outdoor tables 😛

Relaxing atmosphere, delicious food and great service. Would definitely recommend eating at this restaurant.

Stevens Steakhouse 🥩 has a great atmosphere and fantastic food. The atmosphere is elegant, and service is warm and attentive. They have a nice bar area, patio sets and special space for private events.

My son graduated from Navy boot camp and my in-laws & I came in from out of state to attend it. We decided on Stevens' for our celebratory dinner. The food was outstanding, the service was awesome. But what really made the entire experience m9re special for us was the complimentary piece of cake. So nice of them. If you're looking for a place to take your new sailor, I and my family HIGHLY recommend Stevens'.
Bobbi A — Google review
This was our first time here and it was a great dinner date location. Our waitress Lupe was so nice and attentive she was amazing. I got the Beef Wellington and it was phenomenal the pastry was just right and not gooey at all. My husband got the 20oz cowboy steak and it was flavorful and just right. We shared the strawberry and champagne sorbet and you could taste each of the flavors along with a refreshing mint undertone. We tried the mango madness and pomegranate martinis and both were great. This is a great place we will be back. They had live music on a Friday night which was an added bonus.
Janette M — Google review
Steven's is one of my favorite restaurants when visiting Gurnee. They are great for any size party. If the weather is right, a night in the patio is perfect. Maybe you're not the outdoor type, sit at the bar, the bartender are amazing. AND, if you like seafood, the Lobster Mac and Cheese is yummy!

Customers have raved about their breakfast buffet, praising the fresh and delicious food, friendly customer service, and beautiful ambiance. The brunch experience was described as exceptional, with perfectly cooked steak, a delightful omelet station, and delectable desserts.
This is the best brunch I have had in long time. The staff was super friendly and attentive. My steak was perfectly cooked. The omelet station was spot on with several good choices to use in the egg. The waffle station was fun yummy and soft and delicious berries. The salmon and shrimp was fresh. The chocolate bread was a unique flavor. Desert station oh boy is all I can say. Will be back also had a martini and the oj was fresh squeezed oh so fresh

This is a Must go to place! Went today with my boyfriend and we were both very much pleased! Today we went for breakfast buffet which was an absolutley Amazing experience from the moment we walked in. Customer Service was Amazing and very friendly. We really liked how they cook everything fresh for you on the spot! The price is very reasonable and their food is delicious and fresh! We will definitely be going back! Chicken Waffles, Bacon Waffles and so much more! The restaurant is Beautiful as well as the food! Everyone there is very Professional and Friendly!

I really enjoyed the butternut squash soup. The desserts were very good and they prepared the lamb nicely. The lamb came with a cauliflower puree that was very bitter instead of creamy. The salmon my spouse had was very fishy so I think it was slightly old and/or overcooked because it was dry. The cocktails were delicious.
Nikki S — Google review
Very mediocre food with a delightful atmosphere. Our appetizer was great (fried Brussels sprouts) and our bread was fantastic with a chocolate butter, but the actual food was bland. It sounded very extravagant on the menu but it was extremely mediocre. I did not enjoy the burger, chicken or fish and would have rather eaten at home. The cake was extremely rich. I cannot stress how rich this cake was as it was at least two steps above a flourless chocolate cake. However, I still enjoyed it. I think a better alternative (if you were to venture to this place) would be to just get drinks and appetizers.
Mr. B — Google review
Great food and a great atmosphere. We went for the set menu special dinner club. So cool. The chef came out and explained the history and making of the dish. Very fun and highly recommend. I thought the drinks were over priced though.
Cynthia P — Google review
A little bit of chocolate in everything. I went there for a engagement party we had a large open space with the windows facing the outside. The food was good and for the most part, tasty. They had two appetizers which was a chicken leg and quiche also very good. For entree, I had the chicken with breading and a slice of round mozzarella cheese on it. Are the only negative thing I have to say about this place was that they pounded the chicken breast too skinny, I didn't even taste the chicken. The mozzarella on top was not soft and added no flavor. However the balsamic chocolate vinaigrette they laid on top was good. The side salad was delicious with its tiny tomatoes and fancy lettuce. I enjoyed the Coco infused homemade chips. We all enjoyed the two flavor of chocolate mousse. Staff were accommodating and very nice the place is very clean and the bathroom has a very interesting waterspout and dryer all in one.
Michelle H — Google review
We came to celebrate our coworker's BD. The food and the presentation were so awesome! Loved the butternut soup with chocolate infused bacon; my fish was yummy with 3 different flavors. The tea named Love was outstanding! Sanctuary Turtle Mousse Mist - was spectacular! Also our waitress was very nice and helpful. Loved our experience there. Very beautiful interior. Would definitely come back.

Thank you, Chocolate Sanctuary, for a beautiful ceremony and dinner. The private rooms, separate entrance, dinner, desserts, and overly accommodating staff made our day overwhelmingly special. Italian restaurant
Tina's Italian Bake Shop, a family-operated bakery and café located on Washington Street in Gurnee, offers an extensive selection of homemade pasta dishes, gourmet sandwiches, and traditional desserts. Known for its authentic Sicilian-style food and Italian cuisine, this establishment provides delectable Italian meals at an unbeatable price compared to other restaurants in Gurnee. For those seeking an exceptional fine dining experience, Tina's Italian Bake Shop boasts a sophisticated interior decor that exudes elegance and warmth.
First experience at Tina's. We had walked by it multiple times but it has limited hours so it wasn't open when we wanted to try it previously. SO glad we tried it today. We were greeted by the owner immediately despite the entire restaurant being packed full. We got the last available table and immediately got drinks & fresh bread with olive oil/parmesan cheese. The free bread was so delicious, I bought a loaf to take home with me!!! We had the Penne Pasta (todays special menu) & the Italian Sandwich (regular menu) with the house salad. Both of our salads were fresh with fresh ingredients. Very delicious. The Penne Pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was DELICIOUS. I WISH I COULD BOTTLE IT UP AND TAKE IT HOME WITH ME. The Italian sandwich was delicious too, but I do wish the focaccia bread had been warmed but that is just a preference. We bought an Italian cookie sampler to bring home and try some desserts later and ordered another Penne Pasta to take home for later it was so good. The owner again stopped by our table and asked us how the food was. Everything was a very positive experience and will definitely make this a monthly stop!!

I had to try the Italian beef sandwich. And I almost bit my fingers off. Authentic Italian food. Can’t get no better than this, not even if you’re in Italy. I wish I would’ve known about this place earlier in my tenure in this area. But damn this food smacks. From appetizers to desserts, you’ll spend a check in here getting all the food you want to crush. Definitely a place you take your girl too, go out with the guys, take your parents, or even go solo. The food here is amazing. Thank you so much for the service Ms Tina.

Wow, we had their catering today and it was amazing! I had the turkey on panini bread with basil, and you could really taste the fresh basil—it was seasoned perfectly. All the ingredients were so fresh. The salad dressing had either strawberry or raspberry in it, and it was sooo good! Even their chips were light, not oily, and tasted fantastic. On top of that, even the signs they provided were so professional and added such a nice touch. Totally recommend!

Banquet hall
Golden Corral Buffet & Grill is a family-friendly restaurant chain offering all-you-can-eat American cuisine, including a variety of meats, salads, side dishes, and desserts. The buffet serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner at an average price. Customers have praised the quality of the food with highlights such as perfectly cooked medium steak and delicious popcorn shrimp. While there were some issues with online orders for curbside pickup in one location, the staff was responsive in addressing the problem.
Second time dine in here and both experience were very good. Everything is so delicious! We love the big selection of Mexican food and today’s steak tastes like what we had in a steakhouse. The servers are very attentive and friendly. We would definitely come back in the future.
Ivy T — Google review
We liked the food, delicious meat on steaks. There were a lot of people, they didn’t have time to cook meat and waited for about 20 minutes. And in general, everything is fine.
Zelim M — Google review
This place has really gone downhill! Most of the workers could care less about the customers, including the majority of the servers. There are many empty food containers on the buffet line, and none of the workers seem to care. But good luck getting the attention of any workers to get some help, especially by the steaks! They are too busy talking and pretending to be busy to put more food out and to give people steaks. There are not as many different varieties of food as there once was either. The cooking is very inconsistent, so you don't know what you are going to get. The food is fair at best. To pay $47 (for 2 people) for the food served to us (or half served) is ridiculous! Many customers were complaining when I was there earlier today, saying they should have gone eat somewhere else, and they will not go back there again. I felt exactly the same way myself! I'm not sure if it's carelessness from management or lazy, unprofessional workers that management can't get under control that has caused this place to get to where it has, but it's truly pitiful! Oh, and how can I forget the nasty, filthy bathrooms. I decided I would just wait to use the bathroom when I got back home. The best word I can use to describe this place is disgraceful! But lesson learned... I won't waste my time or money again.

Went to this location for the first time last night and the energy here is not inviting. It was a Saturday night, they seemed short staff and the staff that was there were a tad bit rude and lacked passion for work. I felt uncomfortable asking for things that should have been available. I felt like I was bothering them just by mentioning that there was an empty tray of main dishes. There were a nice number of children including my son who asked for cotton candy and the worker that worked in the dessert area had them waiting over 20 min. I addressed her and she said that she was busy! There were so many empty tables in this place and it was around 6 when we arrived. There was food on the ground and it just didn’t feel like a welcoming/professional establishment. I do regret bringing my family here for my 3 yr old birthday dinner.

We were there for an hour and they left several deserts empty or torn up. Ice cream machine was turned and not working also. Not a good experience.

My wife and I ate here yesterday. We were there for about an hour and a half. The food does not get replenished in time for everyone to eat. In the hour and a half that I was there I waited specifically for the barbecued chicken the whole time I was there. Meaning I waited an hour and a half for barbecue chicken that I was never able to eat. They kept telling me 10 minutes 10 minutes and they never replenished said barbecue chicken. What I was able to eat was one little slice of steak with a roll and mashed potatoes. Aside from that I ate a hot dog all for the buffet price of $20. Not because I didn't want to eat but because the food that they promised wasn't there. The last time I went up to the buffet to ask when the barbecue chicken would be done. He said oh 7:05 for sure without fail. I waited until 7:05. Nothing came out. I almost want to ask for my money back. But the one thing I will do is and not recommend this location due to not replenishing certain foods at the buffet. And one good thing I can say about this location is the lady that was cooking. The steak yesterday was awesome. She was very nice. Cooked our steak exactly like we wanted it. But that was short-lived.
Luis A — Google review
I don't know why, but last night, the food was scarce, and what was available was cold. I had some chili and it was very chili, so we're the mashed potatoes, broccoli, and a few other items. The salads were out. The children's hands were touching the food directly without tongs. There were many tables that had empty plates on them from the time we got there until we left. The server gave us the wrong drinks. It was an all-around bad experience. I also witnessed the people preparing the food mixing old with new food, which goes against health codes. It was just nasty. I'm not going back here until things are changed.

Primo Italian American Cuisine is a popular dining spot in Gurnee, IL, offering a casual-chic space and creatively prepared Italian and American dishes. The restaurant features an extensive menu with options ranging from appetizers to desserts, including salads, sandwiches, pasta, seafood, steaks, and more. Customers have praised the exciting bar menu and the variety of cocktails available. Additionally, Primo offers live music on Fridays in their Parlor for a pleasant dining experience.
Primo’s does not disappoint!!! My wife and I have frequented this restaurant a few times and each time are always happy. Last Friday, my wife set up a dinner for her work team. They set us up on the lower level which is fashioned like a speak easy. They had wonderful live music, friendly service and excellent food. The desserts were the perfect ending to the meal. In the past my wife and I have sat at the bar for a glass of wine and ordered their impressive seafood tower.

Lake County has many upscale restaurants, but for me, the dining experience at Primo is the absolute best. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated with sparkling light fixtures and rich wood, mixing a vibrant downtown Chicago vibe with a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. Service is warm, knowledgeable, and attentive. The food at Primo is delicious. The owners’ love of great food shows in the menu, going way beyond standard Italian fare, including outstanding steaks and seafood. One of the ways I tend to judge the skill of a restaurant’s kitchen is how they cook steak, and there is none better than Primo. I like my steak cooked rare/med rare, and while most restaurants overcook, Primo nails it perfectly every time. Primo’s menu stays true to their customers’ favorites while always introducing new specials and surprising twists that elevate the food, such as hen-of-the-wood mushrooms (to die for) or a fresh, herbaceous chimichurri. Cocktails are expertly mixed, tasty, and beautiful, with special touches like Luxardo cherries, dehydrated citrus, fresh herbs, and fresh flower garnishes. Primo has an incredible selection of wines. As a wine novice, ordering wine can sometimes be intimidating, but Primo’s extraordinary sommelier, Marko, makes the wine experience approachable and accessible to everyone from beginners to connoisseurs. Above all, what really makes Primo stand out from other restaurants is the people. From the first time my husband and I stepped into Primo, everyone treated us like family. While some restaurants make you feel like an outsider if you are not one of their regulars, Primo understands that if you treat people right, new customers soon become loyal regulars. They have assembled an amazing staff of professionals who genuinely care. Whether you have a special occasion or "just because", make a reservation to sit at one of Marko’s tables or enjoy a fantastic cocktail with Jancy at the bar, and you will become a loyal regular in no time, too!

Seated immediately with prompt service. Water was served via glass bottle. Bread was on the table quickly with parm/oil/butter tray. Our server was polite, professional, knowledgeable, and prompt throughout with refills. The wine selection is extensive. The decor is old school Italian with some modern elements in the open atmosphere dining area. The food was served quicker than expected , was the right temperature, steaks cooked as ordered, and had an exceptional presentation. There are several rooms that can be booked for private events.

Great restaurant ! They have a full service kitchen. The menu is Italian American upscale. It can be pricey depending what you order. The service was excellent and the atmosphere and decor is designed beautifully inside. This restaurant would great for parties or any celebration and date nights for couples.

I planned my daughter's birthday party/surprise proposal in the barrel room. Wow, what an amazing time. The room was set up really nice. The food was excellent. It was served buffet style. Thank you Elliott for making it happen. Thank you to Van and his server team for making all the guests, over 50 people feel well attended to. My daughter Vavi was definitely pleased and surprised. A memorable time for family and friends.

What can I say - Primo is all around fantastic! Food, service, and atmosphere are all top notch! We have been here several times at different hours and days of the week and regardless the quality is always there! Cortez - the manager - is elite! He leads the staff well, will help with any task, is very welcoming and engaging with the guest. He spent time chatting with us about menu recommendations, explained how awesome the Tuesday night pasta and wine flights are, and everything in between. Each staff member we encountered were great, food was exceptional and atmosphere is very nice - would highly recommend!

It's a bit on the pricey side but still enjoyed the dining experience. A friend was celebrating her birthday and they gave a free dessert which was really well presented. I travel for work and so I have tried a lot of Italian restaurants. I've tried better Italian food somewhere which were not as expensive. I really don't mind paying as long as I'm satisfied and I enjoyed the food. Overall, it's still a good restaurant but could be better I should say, especially with the tastiness of the food.

The restaurant offers homemade meals with excellent cooking, creating a homey and serene atmosphere that makes diners feel comfortable and relaxed. Customers appreciate the high quality of the food, with options like Buffalo Mac and Cheese and limited-time strawberry lemonade made from fresh strawberries.
Stopped by for a late lunch. Service was great, I was seated in no time and waitress was very attentive. Ordered Grandma breakfast combo with pancakes and hashbrown casserole. Order arrived hot and fresh within less than 7 minutes. Everything was delicious, pancakes really stick out the most. Nobody beats Cracker Barrel pancakes, especially paired with their maple syrup. Crispy edges and fluffy interiors top notch. Waitress was great at checking up and making the experience smooth. Love coming back here. Only negative I will say was the mimosa drink, it seemed like a half portion. Other than that great experience and look forward to returning.

Not sure why it took us an hour between ordering our food and receiving it. The food was pretty good but we could tell some of it had been sitting in a warmer for some time. Portion sizes are great. The maple bacon grilled chicken is always good. They have all day breakfast as well. And some drinks are bottomless. The store is fun to browse through. Fresh biscuits and cornbread are sooooooo good.

We enjoyed our visits to cracker barrel. The food is quite reasonably priced and they have some interesting options. Service is first class both in a store and front of house wait staff. Food is pretty good. Americana on the whole, certainly better than some diner type places. Good portion sizes for sure. The store in the front has a lot of interesting gift choices and toys for the kids as well as touristy gizmos. They even had sugar-free chocolate, which I thought was a unusual bonus. Good place, excellent staff, would come back.

After a long, exciting day at Six Flags, Cracker Barrel was the perfect place to relax and enjoy a hearty meal. The warm, welcoming atmosphere felt like home the second we walked in, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier. The food was exactly what we needed—comforting, flavorful, and served hot. I went with the Chicken and Dumplings, and it was absolutely delicious! The cornbread and biscuits were just as amazing, and of course, I had to grab some dessert to finish off the night. What I love most about Cracker Barrel is how consistent they are—you can always count on great food, great service, and that cozy country feel. After an adrenaline-filled day riding coasters like Raging Bull at Six Flags, this was the perfect way to wind down. Highly recommend stopping by after a big day of fun!

Momcorn is a Mexican eatery known for its counter-style service, where customers can enjoy an array of authentic street food options. The menu caters to various dietary preferences, offering gluten-free and vegetarian dishes. One notable highlight is their vegan tamales, which are quite rare to find in the segregated Milwaukee area with a strong Hispanic population. Customers have praised the deliciousness of the food, giving it a perfect score of 10 out of 10.
Went here today for the first time. Wanted to try some vegan foods. Everything was really good! The owner was amazing she explained everything to us and answered all our questions!! Service 10 out of 10. Jibarito with the steak was sooooo good! The vegan tacos was good to try. My personal preference- was not a big fan of the the pastor sauce - so I would get it with our next time on the tacos and on the loaded fries! Definitely would go back and try different things! Hibiscus tea was a big hit also. Everything was very fresh! Definitely worth going in and trying something different.

Stopped here after a long day at Great America. The street corn was the best we've ever had. The entrees were great too. We sat outside and they brought the food out which was really nice because I figured we'd pick it up at the counter. She brought us all waters even though we didn't ask for it. Great food and service!

Genuinely some of the best food I have ever had. Absolutely everything is delicious, and they have a variety of vegan and GF options so everyone can find something to enjoy. Add on exceptionally friendly service, and this restaurant is a winner. If I could only recommend one item, it would actually be the chips and guacamole. It sounds basic, but it will really demonstrate the quality of Momcorn—carefully crafted, freshly made-to-order. So good!

Kaiser's Pizza & Pub is an eatery in Gurnee, IL that offers a wide selection of comforting food options. They serve thin-crust pizza and have a full bar in a tavern-like setting. Patrons can enjoy delicious meals, including various dishes apart from pizza, along with quality drinks from a well-stocked bar that includes top-notch beer, spirits, and wines.
The atmosphere is fine, the inside left is for dining and right is the bar area.   There a lot of local there, everybody know everyone there lol.  Once we arrived, we were told its gonna be 30mins wait that’s when we know its gonna be good lol however, the host also told us if u want to be seated at the bar or bar area with high table there is no wait.  There like 3-4 empty tables so we just sat at the bar area The price is decent, two adult two kids, two pizza only cost around $50 The services was A-OK considering our waitress was also the bartender lol.  She make the drink, also gave us the water, took our order and gave us the food.  At the bar there like maybe 20ppl, there also another maybe 8 tables! The pizza were great, we really enjoyed!  Would come back again 😊

My husband and I went there after my mom recommended it. We had mozzarella sticks which were delicious, I had pan pizza which was wonderful, and he had a thin meat lovers pizza. There were many different choices of food on the menu, and the food was outstanding! Even ordered extra to take home for leftovers. Great prices too! Would definitely recommend and we will be going there again for sure!

Lots of delicious stuff on their menu, but if your coming here for their thin crust cheese pizza is not the best no crisp at all, if you’re looking for good Chicago Tavern style pizza then this is not your place but everything else looks good. I’m rating this place a four stars/five because they have a very good menu other than that. When I tried their pizza, it was very average prolly 5.2 out of 10 for pub tavern style

Best thin crust (tavern-style) pizza in Gurnee! Came in on a Friday night and sat on the bar side. Despite how busy it was the servers were very friendly and professional. There's a decent selection of draft and bottled beer as well as a full drink menu. The pizza was hands down some of the best we've had anywhere, included plenty of well known Chicago restaurants. Husband loved the real garlic bits and sausage on his half of the pizza. The crust is perfectly thing and crispy, sauce is flavorful, and the cheese is fresh. 10/10! Prices are fair for the quality and quantity you receive. Will definitely be ordering take out! Can't recommend enough!

Not sure how long these guys have been around but definitely the best pizza in Gurnee and some of the finest pizza in Lake County you'll ever have. Always clean dining area with a nice bar, friendly service and a good all around menu (especially the pizza) with rising prices like any other restaurant but still worth it. This pizza is better than most I've had and easily in my top 5 favorites and yes I've tried many pizza joints around both franchise and local. I wish the owner(s) continued success and prosperity and I'll be back soon!

Salutos Pizza & Pasta is a family-owned Italian restaurant that offers a variety of familiar dishes in a spacious setting with a loft. The restaurant is known for its freshly-made pasta, pizzas, bread, and desserts. Customers particularly enjoy the homemade salad dressing and recommend it as a great gift. The pizzas at Salutos are highly praised, especially the Alpine and meat lovers options which come loaded with toppings and cheese.
On a Saturday night, we had about a 20-minute wait which is what our hostess told us. They have a nice bar and we enjoyed a cocktail before dinner. We have pizza with a salad in the house dressing and it was delicious. I would recommend coming here anytime. New visit: I had a grilled chicken, cheese, peppers, and mushroom sandwich. The chicken and vegetables were very tender and delicious. The roll was fresh.

Great food! Homemade salad dressing, which is the best. Been going for many years. Very nice atmosphere. They have a bar area in another section. Love the Chicken Saluto. Good selections. They have booths or tables. Family owned. Great people! Highly recommend.
Susan B — Google review
It was a very confusing experience. We went for a late lunch. The atmosphere looked nice, but they used plastic salad bowls, salad plates, and water cups and ugly plastic fake leather table clothes. Service was on the slower side. The wine was good. The salad was excellent. Very good dressing. The rolls were okay. We did get the lunch portions, and they were very accommodating, but we were very surprised by the size. The cheese ravioli was 4 raviolis for $14. The creamy vodka sauce I chose was very good, the filling was good, the pasta itself did not impress. The Chicken Diavolo tasted like nothing but red pepper flakes and was what looked like a 4oz serving for $13. It did come with a side of pasta, your choice of pasta type and sauce, but the homemade pasta was ... 8 minutes past al dente. Overall, this seems like the kind of place that could be amazing, but things are in half measures.
Danielle M — Google review
I can see why this restaurant is only open on weekends now. Went on a Friday night and the place was almost empty. The prices are MUCH too high. My $24 Fettuccine Alfredo was literally inedible. There was a bitter, soapy aftertaste. After waiting for almost half an hour to discuss with the "busy" manager, I finally gave up. The waiter was apologetic and comped "part" of my meal. That was the 3rd strike for this place over the past couple years. My late husband and I used to frequent this place monthly for years. Another local restaurant bites the dust.
MA E — Google review
The salad and rolls, phenomenal! We weren't offered refills on either the salad or the rolls. They used to offer that. Their menu notes you get 2 rolls with this entree. I got 1, not 2. The service, was good. The entrees left something to be desired. I ordered the chicken marsala and that marsala was the worst I've had from any Italian restaurant. The sauce was extremely bland and the few mushrooms that I had were not good. The chicken was paper thin and had no flavor at all. The egg based batter that the chicken was covered in tasted just like egg. It was weird and had no flavor whatsoever. It was disappointing as the food used to be amazing here. Not to to mention each entree was nearly $30 a piece. If I were to go back here, it would be for salad and rolls, only.
Heather D — Google review
This restaurant was recommended to us by the antique mall on the other side of the freeway. WOW. loved it! Our waitress Jeannie, was fabulous!! Ask for her. The salad dressing and rolls are to die for. Pasta and sauces were fabulous. You can try samples before you choose. We even got covers to take our sodas with us.
Beth W — Google review
This place has the best pizzas. We love the Alpine one and always get it when we visit. Their meat lovers is also a must. (See picture for both pizzas). They come loaded with toppings and cheese. Did i mention the alpine is delicious? Alfredo sauce with cheese, shrimp, and crab. Some spinach too i think. Just delicious. They also have a salad if you're watching your waistband. The dressing is really good and the salad is fresh. Chicken is alright. Not the best and a bit dry but I still enjoyed it. They serve an Italian beef loaded with meat and cheese that is also a must try. It can be a bit salty for some people but for me it was perfect. Their calimari and appetizers are good. Sometimes a bit bland but the place is still good. Desserts are always on point. The service is also great. I read other reviews and would assume some items are not a hit but the items i mentioned so far we have tried and liked. Our server was very attentive and kind. The only downside is the wait time. We waited around 45 minutes to an hour for our food and the place had just opened. I suppose they were getting the kitchen ready and making things fresh. We didn't mind much because we were talking amongst ourselves but if you were in a hurry then this would he a downside. Overall, a very good place to eat on the weekend. The restaurant itself is clean. The lighting is dim. It did fill up pretty quick after it opened. One thing that surprised me was their water. I asked for a glass and it tasted good. I'm usually scared to order water from restaurants because it taste like tap and unfiltered. Just not good. But their water tasted like fresh water. So they must have a good filtration system or something of the sorts.
A F — Google review
The atmosphere resembles a nice mom and pop Italian restaurant. The staff was very nice and polite. The food was unfortunately underwhelming. My girlfriend had the spaghetti, a very simple dish that any Italian restaurant should be able to make. However it was very bland and the noodles were over cooked. I had the philly cheese steak, the meat was bland and tasteless. I didn't realize that it would have mushrooms on it and that was my fault not the restaurant's, however after I removed the mushrooms I was left with only half a sandwich. Unfortunately the best part of the meal was the salad. Personally I will not be coming back for the Italian food however I will come back to try the pizza which the restaurant is mostly known for.

I had the 18oz Bone-In Ribeye at Outback, and it was absolutely perfect! Cooked just the way I like it juicy, flavorful, and tender with that delicious chargrilled crust. Terrible experience. I don't know what was going on the night we were there. The table we were brought to had not been wiped down (it was sticky, and there was a straw wrapper still on the table). There was a used napkin in the corner. The floor under the table was filthy, as if the people seated there before us had dumped half their stuff on the ground and left it there. It had not been swept up or dealt with before we were seated. Staff dealt with this and we sat down. The manager promised they'd be more diligent for the remainder of our stay. We ordered a bloomin onion and our server brought bread and a stack of plates. One of the plates had food still on it. When we brought this to our server's attention, she told us the plates had just come out of the dishwasher. You realize that's WORSE, right? Your plates just came out of the dishwasher and STILL had food on them? At this point, we spoke to the manager again and left. We did not feel comfortable eating anything that came out of the kitchen that night.

Had dinner here tonight. . The nice host, Victoria I think her name is, sat us very nicely. Our waitress tammy was phenomenal, very kind and attentive. I’d definitely ask for Tammy’s section if you want good service from outback. The other host, she was a skinny blonde dressed extremely unprofessional. No reason I should see your bra while I’m waiting to be seated. Other than that the service was mediocre, besides tammy!!!

It was pretty empty when I went. The waitress was nice. The food was awful though. Soup was cold. Cheese didn't even melt. They forgot the bacon, but brought it to me when I asked. The bread was slightly hard, like it was stale. Bloomin onion was cold and the onions were too crunchy, like raw onion almost. The mozzarella boomerangs were stuck together and a big mess. I wanted some warm soup and comfort food with allergies kicking my butt, but left very disappointed.

Nichelle was an amazing server! I have a nut/seafood allergy and she was extremely accommodating. Given the amount of seafood on the menu she was very cautious and made sure everything was cooked separately for me. I got the burger with pepper jack cheese and it was pretty good. I really enjoyed my baked potato. Nichelle was just a fabulous server all around. My parents are regulars at this restaurant but it was my first time; I can see why they keep coming back!

Excellent restaurant conveniently located in Gurnee. They have a bar area, which seems to be a big draw for a relaxing cocktail. The restaurant is very nicely appointed and feels upscale, but still relaxed. We went there on a Saturday night about 8 PM and had no problems getting in The stake I had was New York strip, and it was cooked perfectly. The French onion soup is delicious. We had coconut shrimp as an appetizer, and that was also very good. Other people at our party had the codfish which they said was just so so, kind of bland. But I think that’s what cod is. Our waitress Michelle was excellent. Prompt and checked on us as needed. I would definitely go back again.

The best on all levels! We came in from out-of-state and stumbled across this restaurant. It was fantastic! We were warmly greeted. One of the owners was so friendly, personable, and continuously checked on all guests. The server was warm, friendly and personable. The food (ribs) were the best I ever had. It was just so refreshing to have good customer service and good food! You cannot go wrong dining here!

We came to great lakes for our sons Navy graduation and looked up restaurants in the area and found this gem! We had excellent service from Austin and he was extra attentive! I had the prime rib perfectly cooked my husband had chicken and ribs my daughter and her boyfriend had loved their dinners as well. We had the coconut shrimp, French onion soup, several appetizers, cocktails and the price was very reasonable for a party of 4. The only thing I'm disappointed with is that we didn't get to make it back with our son that graduated as for We elaborated how delicious this restaurant is. Sherry South Lake Tahoe , Ca.

Had a good experience here last night. Had lobster bisque and of my was it delicious and would definitely recommend. My filet was cooked very well, slightly under seasoned but allowed for the quality of the beef to shine. The decor was modern but still had little things to the age of the restaurant in a good way. Like saying I'm a staple here but I'm also not stuck in the past. Wish I would have taken pictures of but was busy enjoting the food. Would definitely eat there again and recommend.

We were a party of three for a celebratory dinner. Two ordered prime rib, 12 oz, and one ordered barbecue ribs. Appetizers were coconut shrimp and fried mushrooms. Two of us had salads and one had the lobster bisque. The appetizers were great. The breaded mushrooms tender and flavorful. The 7 large coconut shrimp were outstanding as was the sweet chili sauce for dipping. Salads were standard iceberg lettuce house salads. The lobster bisque was a large bowl, just the right viscosity, slightly sweet from the lobster, and not too pureed. The barbecue baby back ribs were served with mashed red potatoes and were standard fare. The prime ribs were both ordered medium rare. One was thicker than the other and a little too rare but they threw it on the grill which made it even better with a smoky, slightly charred crust. They were both served with horseradish sauce and baked potato. All in all, it was a great experience and the food was very good. The service was outstanding and very attentive. This was our first time here and hopefully not our last.

Nestled in a cozy café setting, Royal Thai is a delightful spot for those craving authentic Thai cuisine. This casual eatery serves up a variety of classic dishes that cater to both vegetarian and non-vegetarian palates, making it an ideal choice for anyone looking to indulge in Asian flavors. The ambiance is inviting, perfect for enjoying meals with friends or family. Guests have shared their experiences of quick service and tasty food, with favorites like pad see ew and fried egg rolls receiving high praise.
A perfect lunch time meal right outside of Six Flags. The food was delicious. The space is comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed the pad see ew and the pad kee mao. 10/10. The fried egg rolls were very good as well. My favorite dish was the wonton prawns. They had a nice black pepper flavor and a scrumptious, tangy sauce to accompany. And you can see the rides right out the window! I can’t wait to return.

Sweet and sour chicken is absolutely garbage. So dry and overcooked you choke on it. Quality is so bad. Fried rice is mid. Broccoli beef was mid. Egg rolls are tiny and tasteless. Spent $91 for 4 people. Pass on this place and save your money.

Still delicious! We have been eating g here for 18 years. The food has been consistently tasty every time. The portions are large and the quality seems good. The seasoning and spice seems to be perfect. The drunken noodles and fried rice are our favorite go to dishes but there are others we enjoy also.

Local Thai restaurant offing excellent oriental foods including Thai, Chinese, Vietnamise and more. Ordered Pho, Pad Thai and Fried rice and etc. They all have wobderful flavors and good portion. Only thing that bothered me was all foods were served in togo plastic containers with plastic utensils and one time use cups. Also chrage extra for sauces even for dine in customers.

It was my first time at this Thai restaurant. I went with my friends. The ambiance was good. The wait time for the food order was about 5 minutes. We ordered veggie dumplings, fried rice, green curry and noodles. They served the food in to-go boxes (which I liked). The appetizer (dumplings) had only 1 vegetable. We didn’t enjoy the dumplings. The main course tasted good. However, all the dishes were very greasy. Being vegetarian I really wish they had more options in their menu.

Portions are way undersized for the price. I ordered app, dinner entree curry with meat and ate all my rice and still very hungry. Flavor was authentic, however on the bland end. Considering portions, you must eat all the rice and that makes it extra bland. Disappointed and will be going somewhere else next time. Pictured is the small curry portion.

It's different than it was a few years ago. The food is still delicious. The atmosphere, however, no longer feels authentic with its elevator music and minimal design. Great for a sit down meal, but avoid delivery of you're hungry. This location prioritizes in-house orders over delivery service, which seems to be their bigger source of service.
Justyn H — Google review
Don’t bother dining at this establishment, they shouldn’t even have dine in. Your food is served in plastic to go containers even though you pay full price plus tip…we were told it would be 10-15 minutes and sat there for almost an hour waiting for our food, we finally saw the food being put into plastic containers and we stopped them and asked for a refund. As far as how good the food was, I will never know because I don’t eat hot food served in plastic…

The Point Pancake House is a charming local eatery in Gurnee, offering a simple yet delightful dining experience. This family-owned restaurant is known for its delectable breakfast and lunch options, including specialties like wildberry pancakes and freshly squeezed orange juice. Visitors praise the quality of food and appreciate the gluten-free choices available.
Nice little breakfast place. Very attentive staff. Stopped in on a weekday, it was not very busy. The 5-6 staff members were all smiling and eager to please. Corned beef skillet was delicious (maybe a little heavy handed with the oil but I didn’t mind). Simple decor and comfortable booths. Great place for a quick bite or a family breakfast. The restaurant is very clean and un cluttered. I will be back several times after a great first experience. Keep up the good work!

I have been coming here for years and am never, ever disappointed. My family stopped in today after a rather challenging morning looking for comfort in some coffee and a hot breakfast. Dawn H was our server and we could not have asked for better! Immediately she brought us a fresh pot of coffee with a warm smile. She was a delight, very friendly and you can tell she knows her stuff. The food was amazing per usual! The hash browns were perfectly golden and crispy. Dawn made our experience just that much better. Will be back soon :)

This place was seriously great. Only conplaint is that it was a 15 minute wait for the table (since it was packed!!) but once we got a table and ordered, the food came very fast (like 3-5 minutes) Pancakes are very fluffy and the maple syrup is fantastic, and the fries are the best🤩🤩🤩🤩 Please please PLEASE visit this place for amazing food for good prices

Every Sunday we typically go out to breakfast and my partner mentioned The Point Pancake House and how this restaurant was a go-to spot for him and his family to go to. We decided to come for my first experience and for him to come back after a long hiatus of coming there. When I tell you this place is awesome, I truly mean it! It’s a local gem; the staff is incredibly kind and personable, the food options are endless, the drink options are vast, and everything tastes amazing! I ordered the chicken and waffles and him the steak and eggs. It was incredibly good! I also ordered a vanilla latte and him an iced mocha, and again, so incredibly good! If you’re looking for a wonderful hometown breakfast experience with tons to choose from and such a kind wait staff, I highly recommend The Point Pancake House!

Don't waste your time here if your hungry. Attached is a photo of 5 plates of food that didnt get finished due to no one liking the food. Hostess was arguing with another waitress under their breathe about something. Some dude sighed and didnt appreciate our family of 6 walk in. Nonetheless, this place from the nonmatching walls, and food not really all that. Better off with going somewhere else

The Point is not just a diner, but a cozy dining experience with excellent food choices and quality. They offer an elevated level of fine products. They use whole grain bakery bread, fresh squeezed juice, looseleaf tea varieties served in a teapot with strainer, top shelf jams etc. All served with a smile and welcoming attitude. I visit here with my friend on a quarterly basis whenever I'm in town visiting my parents. The Point never disappoints. Enjoy!

The inviting atmosphere makes it perfect for enjoying a meal solo or sharing good times with family and friends. Despite its unassuming exterior, Mama K's offers an impressive dining experience that rivals more popular chains nearby.
Ive lived in the area for 4 years and im shocked I never heard about Mama K’s. There food is delicious! The Steak Tacos are better than many of the Mexican restaurants in the area. The couple who runs this place are very friendly. They also have plenty of dessert options and space to sit outside to enjoy ice cream or a shake. Perfect place to walk to for food across the street from Six Flags.

Very delicious! We wanted triangle piece's, but they forgot. It's okay, it was very good. We had a Lg cheese and sausage hand tossed. $16.99+tax. Update: We also ordered breakfast, and they have the best pancakes. The hash browns were not good at all. I did call and spoke to the manager. They did refund me due to my dissatisfaction. Which I was very happy about, because I really appreciate their empathy. So because of their fast response, I will keep the stars where they are. See you guys soon!!

Came down from MN to go to Six Flags. Saw this pizza place was close to my hotel so I gave it a try. I just got a cheese personal pizza but it was so good. The lady at the counter was nice and even showed me the side menu when she noticed that I hadn't yet. Very polite. Very friendly. If I lived closer I would definitely become a regular.

A hole in the wall kind of a place that is well worth visiting! This location is right across the street from the exit of six flags. However, when we went in there a prime lunchtime on a perfect six flags day, hardly anyone was in this place. What a shame since the food was really good. I did not check but I'm sure that the Burger King right across the street was probably packed even though there's no comparison in food quality. It's definitely worth a visit to this place. Come support this family run place. You won't regret it.

We (4 adults 6 kids) came after a day at six flags looking for a good meal before heading home and this was the perfect place. They told us we could arrange the tables and sit wherever we wanted. Very family friendly small dining area. The staff put on a movie for the kids via Netflix so they were well occupied while waiting for food which was maybe 20 min. We got a large pizza and beer nuggets, both very tasty. I have never had something like beer nuggets (chowed down before getting a pic) and they were so good! One of the staff members gave our 3 year old picky eater some fries even though we didn't order them, how nice. He also gave us a pizza cutter to cut smaller slices for the kids. I would stop here again just for the food but the friendly accommodating staff took it to the next level for a great experience. Thank you.

We have ordered from here, but yet to have gone to dine in. Other than that first time having this place and it's amazing!! Fatmans in Gurnee is a popular American grill and sports bar known for its craft beers and summer sand volleyball league. The restaurant boasts two dining rooms, three bars, three patios, live music stage, and outdoor volleyball courts. The menu offers a variety of options including barbecue, burgers, and pizza. While some visitors enjoyed the nice service and company volleyball outings, others were put off by the presence of slot machines near the entrance.
I went to a group get-together here for a bunch from work. The bartenders were attentive and the kitchen staff did a great job! The food was very good and set out nicely in our area. This is a comfortable place to hang out and enjoy good food. Plenty of TVs so you don't miss any big plays!

We visited this restaurant on July 12th around 7:30 PM and had what started as a normal dining experience. After ordering our food and getting settled, I noticed something crawling across the table. To my shock, it was a roach right on our table and moving toward our food. I immediately stood up with my partner and flagged down a nearby waitress. When we pointed out the roach (which by now was crawling on our food), her response was bizarrely indifferent. She didn’t seem surprised or alarmed at all—just annoyed we brought it to her attention and not someone else’s. She said she’d get our waitress. Our actual waitress came over, saw the roach still on the table, and walked away. A few moments later, another staff member showed up and leaned over our food and tried to catch the roach with a napkin. Other guests were still eating around us, watching this unfold. She then told us she’d get the manager. A man (maybe a manager, maybe not—he never introduced himself) came to our table and asked, “What happened?” After we explained, he walked away also. The woman who had caught the roach returned and asked, “So what do you wanna do?” as if it was our responsibility to come up with a solution. We asked for a refund, and were told we could get our food refunded, but not our drinks. We had a roach crawling over our meal, and somehow, we were still expected to pay for anything. No one was genuinely apologetic. We never got to speak to a manager directly. We left deeply disgusted, not only because of the roach, but because no one seemed remotely surprised or concerned. It felt like this wasn’t even an unusual occurrence for them. This was a health and safety issue, and the lack of professionalism, basic courtesy, or accountability from the staff made it so much worse. Please reconsider ever eating here!

Excellent place to stop on our trip. Friendly staff. Somewhat unique atmosphere with the volleyball spin outside. Our food was great. I recommend the bourbon chicken sandwich. The flavor was excellent. It all felt a bit pricey for the type of restaurant, but still worth it for a special occasion. Everything costs more up here than at home so not a huge problem.

Arrived prior to dinner (5pm). Fewer individuals on the premises resulting in a peaceful ambiance. Service was moderately sluggish, although the food was promptly served. The kids' junior medallion steak was remarkably tender, much to their delight. The kid's salmon dish was satisfactory, albeit simple. Unfortunately, the fries were considerably disappointing and had an unpleasant staleness about them. This establishment proved to be quite impressive during my initial visit!
UPDATE - Wine, Food and Service are still top notch! Added pictures of different dishes this time. Do not pass up the sweet chili calamari!!! Or the desserts! I had a friend suggest this place - He said that they had wine tasting and good food. Sounded like a place that I wanted to try. Well, he left out quite a bit! The wine options were very good. The folks helping with the wine tasting were fantastic and informative. The servers that we had at our table were very helpful and full of great information and suggestions. Everything that we had was SO good! The presentation on the plates made me want to dive in quickly! I surprised myself because I was able to get pictures before I started eating - for the most part! I wanted to try some of the desserts that sounded very good but I had no room left in my stomach. I did have room for a Carmel apple truffle - should have gotten more! I could go on and on about how good the food and beverages were BUT, I need to mention the amazing service. The servers paid close attention to our needs and the floor managers also checked in to make sure that everything was going well. I can't say enough about my experience at Cooper's Hawk. I can say that I can't wait to go back!

We made the drive down to Gurnee to go to Cooper’s Hawk a month ago and we’ve been there four weeks in a row! The food is great and, of course, the wine is on point. Some of the highlights include the smoked salmon spread, the crispy rice with tuna, the barbecue chicken salad, Dana’s Parmesan-crusted chicken, and the blackened ahi tuna. The place usually has a great vibe (we’ve only been on weeknights and it’s always jump in’). If you can sit in the bar area, that’s guaranteed to be lively. Also, they are great for gluten-free (GF or celiac). They even serve GF bread while you wait for your entrees and it’s actually good.

My husband and I came here during the holiday season… I knew it would likely be busy but we’re from out of town so we didn’t have much option. We had a reservation and came 30 minutes early to do a wine tasting before hand. The lady who did our wine tasting kept forgetting about us. It would take us 5-10 minutes to get another tasting. The hostess came up to us telling us we were 15 minutes past our reservation time and that we needed to go ahead and get seated. I tried explaining the situation and stated we only had 1-2 more tastes per person. She made that seem like it was a big inconvenience and that we really needed to just forgo them and get seated now. My husband stayed to pay for the tasting and I went to go claim our table. So we paid for a full wine tasting but didn’t get our full selection. A different hostess (Thea) sat me. She was WONDERFUL! She apologized for being rushed and said that next time we could have all the time we needed. We may just get pushed to a different table but that there was no reason we shouldn’t have been able to finish our tasting. Matthew was our server. I apologized to him off the bat explaining that my husband would be shortly behind me as he was still at the tasting bar paying. He said now worries and additionally apologized for us being rushed. He made the statement that “we’re on your time now” and made both of us feel welcomed. He was kind, attentive and absolutely turned the night around. I cannot say enough about how much of a difference Matthew made in our evening. I started off highly disappointed but left extremely satisfied and had a truly wonderful evening. Our food was delicious. Our wine was tasty. And the evening ended well.

As a Coopershawk Ambassador wine club member it is obvious i enjoy Coopershawk. The wine selection is top notch, new wine selections change monthly as does the Chef selections for lunch and dinner. The Coopershawk menu will fit any taste, including vegan and life balance selections. The Prime sandwich is probably my favorite go to, but the the Chicken Giardiniera or the Dana’s Parmesan Crusted Chicken are tasty options as well. The combination of a flatbread-salad is a nice warm weather option, combine that with perhaps a pitcher of Coopershawk sangria and you will thank me later. I would suggest you make a reservation for the usual dinner hours, because with food and drink offerings here they are often very crowded.

From a Chef's point of view... This may be long, but well worth reading. My experience at Cooper's Hawk in Gurnee, Illinois actually started on New Year's Eve. My wife and I were celebrating our 31st Wedding Anniversary which is on New Year's Day. I stopped by a local florist and asked them to put together 3-Red Roses and 1-White rose to represent (31) years of marriage. I brought the rose arrangement over to Cooper's Hawk that afternoon and asked the Assistant General Manager (Joe) if he could possibly keep them in his walk-in cooler until the next day when my wife and I had reservations for dinner. He willingly said "Yes". When my wife and I were brought to our table, the roses were already at our table. It brought a very big smile to my wife's face. And the night only got better from there. We ordered the "Thai Lettuce Wraps" for an appetizer. They were amazingly delicious, and the portion size was humongous. I then ordered a cup of Crab, Shrimp & Lobster bisque. I told our server (Ray) that I like my soup really hot. She let the cooks know and sure enough, it was piping hot just the way I liked it. And speaking of Ray... she was everything you would want your server to be. She was extraordinarily pleasant and very attentive to our needs. She was also taking care of a birthday party of (13) next to us, but that didn't stop her from doing an outstanding job taking care of us. My wife ordered the Parmesan-Crusted Mahi Mahi. It was cooked just the way she liked it. I ordered the Shrimp & Scallop Risotto. Everything was cooked to perfection. We finished off the evening with a Crème Brulé. It was silky smooth and plenty of fresh vanilla bean scrapings on the inside and the upper crust was nice and crunchy. As a retired Chef, I highly recommend this restaurant and plan on going back there in the very near future again. Happy New Year everyone! Chef Clay

Barnwood, the full-service restaurant at Great Wolf Lodge, is a delightful spot for both resort guests and walk-in diners. With its charming rustic decor, it offers a menu filled with craft cocktails and shareable plates that cater to families looking for comfort food. While the staff may not have control over the menu, their graciousness shines through—especially when they went out of their way to provide chicken broth for a sick child.

A good restaurant compare to other Great Wolfe Lodge locations . We dine in twice here and liked everything we ordered. Basic restaurant food and nothing is super special that can be suggested, but mostly I really enjoyed their fried calamari.

Don’t bother with this place (inside the Great Wolf Lodge). Ordered several items and it was all expensive trash. Server was attentive, but the food is horrendous and expensive. Ordered a Medium steak and received it well done. Wasn’t in the mood to bark about it so I wolfed it and left. Will never return.

The taste was good, but it took a long time to be served. If our dishes had been warm, it would have been more great.
Saaya T — Google review
The food here is extremely disappointing. The photos you see are clearly stock images and don’t reflect what you’ll actually get. While the staff was friendly, the prices are outrageous for what amounts to very low-quality meals—honestly, I’ve had better food in a hospital cafeteria. The fries, chicken, and salads are the exact same as what’s served in the water park, just plated differently and priced at three times the cost. Portions are small, seasoning is lacking, and the overall quality is just not there. Do yourself a favor: skip the on-site restaurants and head off property for a real meal. For what you’ll pay here, you could enjoy a far better experience elsewhere.

Like a really bad Applebee's. Except 2.5 times more expensive. Just kind of a sad dining experience all around. My daughter said they have better hamburgers at her school cafeteria. I tried it, and yes it was like a gas-station hamburger.

To be fair, the staff has little to no control of the menu. But that staff is incredibly gracious. End of the day, I just needed a chicken broth for my sick kid. Front of house and back of house took care of us immediately. Not on menu, and really made my daughter feels special back at our room. Outside of that, the restaurant is gorgeous and you get a good view of the water park.

V is the best server I have ever had. He is such a kind soul, very caring, and sweet young man. I hope he gets paid what he deserves. He is the epitome of customer service at olive garden. I have never felt such a comforting presence while eating here. Thank you V.

Our dining experience was a tale of contrasts, with moments of genuine delight alongside some disappointment. The meal began on a high note; both the soup and the salad were fresh, vibrant, and thoroughly enjoyable. However, the main course did not continue this positive trend. The chicken, unfortunately, was quite chewy and had a texture that suggested it might have been prepared from frozen, which was a letdown after the promising start. What truly transformed our evening, though, was the exceptional service we received from our server, Jessie. He was an absolute ray of sunshine—incredibly kind, polite, and visibly happy in his work. His warm and attentive presence made us feel genuinely welcome, and we truly enjoyed his company. Jessie is a remarkable asset to your team, and his standard of service is something all servers should aspire to.

I recently went to Olive Garden for a date night, and it was absolutely perfect. From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive—making sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, which made it a great spot for a relaxed evening. Our server went above and beyond, checking in at just the right times and making great recommendations from the menu. The endless breadsticks and fresh salad were a hit, and our entrées were cooked to perfection—full of flavor and beautifully plated. It felt like the staff genuinely cared about making the evening special, which made the experience even better. Olive Garden delivered the perfect combination of great food, great service, and a great setting for a date. Highly recommended!

Was greeted by Kathleen (Katy) with the best smile, attitude, and patience a patron could ever ask for! Best customer service hands down. I searched the business cards because I was sure she was a manager at that point! She sure as hell deserves a raise! Keep up the great work!

Went there last Wednesday evening after driving 13 hours to get into town, Hostess was super nice, we were seated quickly. Our server seemed overwhelmed, felt like she was tending to her big top more then us 4. We kept our order simple, barely checked on us, refilled my boys drink once but the food made up for her end. Shout out to the cooks! Definitely have patience if going here!

Steak 'n Shake is a beloved chain that captures the essence of classic diner culture with its retro ambiance and delicious offerings. Known for their mouthwatering steakburgers and creamy milkshakes, this spot is perfect for a quick bite or a leisurely meal. Whether you're stopping by after an unexpected roadside mishap or enjoying a late-night visit, the friendly staff ensures you have an enjoyable experience.
Me and my boyfriend decided to stop at Steak N’ Shake after our tire flattened on the highway. It being so long of a wait we just wanted something quick and easy. It had been a long time since I’ve visited a Steak N’ Shake so I wasn’t entirely sure what to order. Though we ended up ordering a butter onion burger with cheese fries, a bacon cheeseburger with chili and a chocolate shake to-go! Being tired of everything that happened, our social battery was drained but we were pleased to know that we can completely order on kiosks! Normally kiosks only accept cards or tap, but I was happily pleased that they accepted cash too! The process was quick and easy, ordering our food and scanning in to get our soft drinks was an interesting concept which I think more fast food places should include! I loved the atmosphere of this steak and shake, everything seemed to run smoothly and everyone could do their own thing to get in and out at their own pace. Plus for a fast food restaurant, the burgers were pretty good! Though my favorite were the shoestring cheese fries and chocolate shake! 😁❤️

My mom and I visited this location late last night. This was our first time dining in at this location and we were a little confused while ordering. However, Mr. Rufus was so pleasant in assisting us and making sure we had everything correct. He cooked our food and brought it to us. Because of him we had a great first time experience. Mr. Rufus thank you so much for making our experience very pleasant and enjoyable. The food you fixed for us was so good…we both ate our entire patty melt and fries. We usually don’t do that. I can tell you cook from love and we really appreciate you. THANK YOU MR. RUFUS! 😁

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with my recent experience at your establishment. I ordered a Fresco Melt that was not cut in half, making it difficult to eat, and it was absolutely unappetizing. Additionally, I ordered a three-piece chicken meal, but the pieces were smaller than expected, and the fries I received were cold and unseasoned. After attempting to address my concerns by calling the store, I was met with further frustration. The lady who answered my call informed me that the manager was too busy to speak with me. Shortly after, another staff member took the call, but when I requested his name, he abruptly hung up on me. Given the poor quality of the food and the unprofessional customer service I experienced, I am requesting a full refund for my order. I also did not receive a receipt during the drive-thru transaction, which complicates matters further. I would appreciate it if someone from higher management could look into this.

I ordered a burger from a rude waitress. Every since they renovated, the food has gone downhill. I hear they're still using seed oils and lying about it. I thought they were supposed to use tallow? Also the merch is CRAZY. What were they thinking? There was a hair in my burger. Long and straight and blonde. How nasty is that?

Food tastes great but portions are much smaller now. I had the chilimac which was delicious but it didn't come close to fulfilling me up. Bathrooms were filthy and we went around 10:20 am - they open at 10. No idea why the bathrooms would be disgusting just shortly after opening. Place wasn't as clean as it used to be. Several dirty tables. Food came up pretty fast. Chocolate shake is still great and they have the best whipped cream. Shake size is pretty good.

I haven't eaten at a Steak n' Shake in over 10 years. Mainly because they're out of my way. I wanted to try their beef tallow fries so I exited the interstate to try it out. First thing I noticed about this particular store is it was spotless. The windows, floors, counters, etc all clean. They even had a guy on a ladder wiping down the HVAC vents. The guy behind the counter had a manager vibe and was also cooking my meal. He was super friendly and greeted me when I walked in. I ordered a double garlic cheeseburger with fries. Of course a shake. My meal was very very good. Everything was fresh. I'll be a repeat customer. 😋 🍔 🍦 🍟

We always have a great experience at Steak and Shake. This store is located on the Gurnee Miles parking lot ( not in the mall). I've been eating at Strak n' Shake since about 1965. I haven't been yo red lobster in years. Wow, they turned this place around from the drinks to the dessert. Great job. I had probthe best service I ever had this day. Celebrating my sons birthday. She made it even better, not overbearing but caring and enjoyed her job. Telling everyone I know to check red lobster out!

This was my first experience at red lobster. We had to wait two minutes before being greeted and offered seating. We both enjoyed how each dish tasted, however I feel as though her jambalaya was a small portion. They did not have certain things on the menu available at the time. I feel as though the place had a smell. The menus had stains on them and other aspects of the restaurant just were dingy. The floors were sticky. Our server was busy with two tables, made a woman a drink and it took serval minutes to pay for our meal. The server was very attentive with making sure our drinks were full though and he was nice. The free bread rolls and refills were nice as well.

Our server Erika was great, cheerful, and attentive. We got there near closing time but were seated for dinner. We were excited to try the New Seafood boil bags! First off, the Cajun butter bag- chef's kiss 👩‍🍳 💋. But we had a few mistakes that made the dining experience unsatisfactory. We asked to add sausage to our Cajun boil bag and not only was the sausage missing, but so were the snow crab legs. 😞 and my son's drink, the Purple Haze, never got there either. He was the most disappointing since it was his meal and drink that was messed up. Now the Garlic butter bag, had everything, and was good but a little underwhelming. Go with the Cajun!! We understand it was the first week with this new menu item and may give it another shot.. if I can convince my son 🤔

Satisfy your seafood cravings; Red Lobster has it: lobster lover’s duo, shrimp, and stuffed mushrooms for a starter. New cocktails, such as the Guava Chili Margarita and Sunset Passion Colada, are perfect pairings for your seafood entrée. The biscuits are so moist, it's my guilty pleasure.

Brian has excellent customer service! He is very attentive and it makes the experience better when you have a server that cares about you and your experience! We did try the seafood boils and it was delicious! We did agree getting just the crab legs with the garlic is still our favorite menu item but we did enjoy finally trying the trend of the seafood boils, first seafood boil we’ve had with lobster tails in it! Very delicious. Great Saturday sister day!

Came for a family meal. Our server was Erika and she was fantastic. She was able to talk about the menu and knew what was a fan favorite. She even discussed what she personally liked. This past weekend we held our 35th High School reunion in their banquet room. The venue was perfect, the food was fantastic and the service was amazing. Jackie and Maria took such great care of us and were so accommodating. We had a DJ at our party and there was space for the DJ and dancing. Finally got to check out Tacos El Notte Gurnee. I personally have to say I like this one more compared to the lake bluff one. So, let me get into it! The food was definitely much different than the lake bluff one. The menu was much better and had more options for sure. I got the taco bowl and I have to say it was really worth it! I felt satisfied and full after eating it! My co work got the 3 taco dinner and he pointed out that has tortillas were dry and hard. The service was good. Our waitress checked in with us often which I liked! The atmosphere really reminded me of restaurants that I visited when I was in Mexico! I really loved the decor! Overall, I would say check TENG if you want to try a very good menu!

A customer shared a positive experience with the order taker, Nick, and the delivery driver who remained unnamed but was described as delightful. Initially placing an order through DoorDash, the customer later discovered that Rosati's offered delivery themselves within a close proximity.
Alfredo and garlic bread was great. The deep dish was ok but not as cheesy as I thought. Apparently I should have asked what the legendary pizza was because maybe that would have been cheesier. The staff had great customer service. The dining area looked nice and plenty of parking

This place was average. Kinda like others have said the pizza is very bread forward. I did however get a good cheese pull. The toppings could have been more abundant for the price. I would not however go back for a second try. It's a shame because I have only had Chicago pizza 1 other time at Lou's and it was fantastic I however couldn't make it all the way down there and I took my son here because he has never had Chicago style pizza and it was a big disappointment. He did not like this pizza.

We stopped by Rosati’s on our way to Six Flags. It happened to be Tuesday, so there was a deal on their 18" pizza with free breadsticks. My friend checked the menu at the counter, and later when I went to place the order, I asked how long it would take. The staff member responded rudely, saying, “I told your friend already.” The food came quickly (probably because there were zero tables occupied), but unfortunately, the pizza was disappointing — the crust was very flaky, more like a cracker than proper pizza dough. When my friend asked for some seasonings, the staff told us they “must be on the table,” but there were none. He then handed us oregano in a sauce cup lid — very unprofessional presentation, especially in a dine-in setting. Overall, it was a bad experience — both in terms of food quality and customer service. I’ll be attaching a photo of the “seasoning” they gave us so you can see for yourself.

You can't go wrong with chilis . It's the restaurant version of fast food, but better quality . Service is quick, and food is decent. Appetizers came out super fast & drinks as well . Waitress was super sweet and made sure we had everything we needed and more . The only downside was our location didn't do happy hour due to town restrictions. It's always nice to have a deal on appetizers or drinks . Food overall was what you expected for the price . Fajitas were way overseasoned, but they kindly took it back but was still charged for the meal, so that was kinda disappointing, but due to covid, i guess every dollar counts . Cheers!

Got the fajitas, steak and chicken. I have never been to a place where I preferred the chicken more....also didn't like the chicken a whole lot. The food looks great but flavor seemed kinda weird. Go to a non chain or a chain that specializes in Mexican or tex Mex if you want good food. The kids had a small pizza and fries looked like it was a cheapo thing but they like it enough I guess. It was pricey for the quality we could have spent less or roughly the same at surround restaurants and I whould have felt like it was worth it.
Eric P — Google review
Food had good flavor, but it was not hot. It took a long time to get it as well. Our waitress said it just came up. I am not sure that was accurate because it wasn't hot. My husband wanted blue cheese for his dipping sauce and got hot sauce and ranch. I didn't use much of my dressing for my side salad, so he used that. So, needless to say, we were not impressed.

The food is absolutely delicious! The owners and staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. We have been coming here for over ten years. They remember who we are, be even after we were gone for awhile living in another state. The restaurant is clean. I love their jokes they put together for dinner. The fried rice is our favorite! I highly recommend eating here!
Brittany S — Google review
We visited Ichiban tonight with a party of 12 and were quite surprised to find ourselves the only table in the restaurant on a Saturday night. While we truly appreciate that they were able to accommodate our son’s dairy allergy — which is very important to us — the overall experience left much to be desired, especially in terms of transparency and service. From the start, we felt nickel-and-dimed throughout the evening. My wife drinks alkaline water and was told there would be a charge for it — not something we typically expect, but we agreed to it without making a fuss. Then a friend ordered a main entrée to share with her young kids and was surprised to find a “sharing fee” added to the bill. It’s also worth noting that items like fried rice, which are typically included or at least offered clearly as upgrades at many restaurants, were all upcharged without any upfront disclosure. These small charges add up quickly, and it would have been nice to know in advance. To top it off, an automatic gratuity was added to the bill — despite the fact that the service throughout the evening was subpar. It felt like we were being charged premium prices without receiving premium service. That said, we do want to give credit where it’s due: the chef was fantastic, and the food itself wasn’t bad at all. But great food can only go so far when the dining experience leaves a bitter aftertaste.
Vick Y — Google review
It was the first time there today. Everyone was amazing and the food was delicious. They have been open for so long, wish I had found them sooner! FYI, if you want plain rice, you ask for steamed rice. A lot of the bad reviews below are more than likely a misunderstanding.

The golden shrimp was insanely horrible. The shrimp was overcooked and chewy. Absolutely 0 flavor in the sauce either. Drenched in oil. Not finishing this meal. The fried rice was not well done teriyaki chicken and filet Mignon were over cooked. The proportions very small compared to a normal sushi house. We were the only ones in there so no good vibe. It was very clean though
Kat S — Google review
Very friendly employee when calling to make the reservation, we had party of 5 at 615. When we started to order, the waitress told us there is no sushi because they only have 1 chef and have 3 tables to cook for. One of our main reasons of going there was for sushi. There was no mention of this when we called. We ordered combo dinners and was never given our desserts. Soda is can only, water is water bottles only and you get charged per bottle/ can. From ordering to cooking to leaving, we felt very rushed, 1st bill was not ours that was brought to us, then when we did receive our actual bill, items that were not ordered were on the bill and the total including (service charge) was already added. The service charge was 20% of the total bill including the tax. And then still expected a tip on top of that. The chef was amazing and deserves so much better. We were very disappointed overall with our experience with the waitress, charges and lack of communication on hidden fees and what was actually available to eat and drink. The food was good, scallops, shrimp, steak, veggies, fried rice and golden sauce.

The food was good and the service was nice but after ordering two $1.50 extra charge Cesar salads we were served the house salad instead. After being told once they were Cesar salads by the hostess we asked our server if we could get the two $1.50 charges taken off after being served the house salads and he was insisting that they were Cesar salads. We gave up and paid the charge but left feeling very gaslight, since when do Cesar salads have tomato and cucumber? there’s literally a picture of the house salad on DoorDash that matches what we got :| the server was still very nice, never admitted it wasn’t a Cesar salad lol but did give us a coupon so he was still trying to be accommodating. Overall we’re not too mad they were sorry for the confusion it was just a confusing experience.

About an average TGI, service was welcoming and nice but seemed to have forgotten about us after the first check up. Food was good and flavorful, drinks could’ve been more slushy but still good nonetheless. It was a pretty busy night so I wouldn’t really blame much on the restaurant. Overall an average TGI quality wise.

Hostess wasn’t very attentive upon entering restaurant. Waited 20 minutes for a booth surrounded by filthy tables. Our waitress was very polite and gave us our food pretty quickly. The food was subpar. I haven't been to TGI in years and being the first time back was horrible 😞. It took over 15 mins just for a glass of water and another 10 for actually our drinks. We had to wait for over an hour while the place was half empty. At the end of the night when splitting the bill there was an issue they can't split more than three bills. The overall experience was poor and disappointing. Some of their food was okay but not worth the wait for simple things.

Location seems to be kept clean, wouldn't necessarily say the customer service is exceptional but indeed above average, always a good drink selection & specials and the food appears to be of good quality at reasonable prices. Will continue to stick with this as my go-to location being it's the closest to home and the next ones being 20+ miles south in Wheeling and Lake Zurich.

On a Sunday evening in September. Took myself to dinner. Waited to be seated, but that wasn't necessary. Seated myself at a table in the bar. Waiter, Harris was jiffy on the spot to greet, and brought me a menu and asked what I wanted to drink. Harris gave me ample time to peruse the menu and returned to take my order. I opted for the Whiskey Glazed Chicken. I could not do the broccoli due to medical reasons, so Harris offered a side of two Breadsticks. Meal arrived in a timely fashion and was better than expected. Food was hot and cooked properly. The whiskey glaze also came in a dipping cup and was excellent. As were the two glazed chicken breasts. The meal came with mashed potatoes which were delicious with the glaze as gravy. The price is reasonable for this entree. The service was friendly and offered at appropriate intervals. The atmosphere was a touch loud for the hour on a Sunday, but not obnoxious. -(-)One negative; You really cannot view the menu with prices and images online without having to "order". You don't have to place the order, but it is the only way to view the food, pictures and prices. I will add TGIF to my regular monthly visits. Thank you Harris ! You too get ⭐⭐⭐⭐.

The food was luke warm. Shrimp in the Crispy Whiskey combo was hard and overcooked. The Shrimp Chicken and Pasta was luke warm and flavorless. Should have gotten paid for eating my meal. Also ..... bathroom was FILTHY!!! No toilet paper, no flush and STANKY!!! Worse experience ever for a Wednesday night!

Nestled in the heart of Gurnee, Illinois, Hayashi Japanese Restaurant is a delightful spot for those craving authentic Japanese cuisine. This casual eatery offers an extensive menu featuring sushi and kitchen entrees like chicken teriyaki, along with lunchtime bento boxes that are perfect for a quick yet satisfying meal. Upon entering, guests are greeted by a warm atmosphere and friendly staff who provide attentive service even during busy lunch hours.
This place is an absolute GEM!!! Hayashi is a quaint Japanese restaurant with all the charm of being in a completely different part of the world. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the ambiance is so warm and inviting! They have a wall filled with drawings given to them by their customers over the years! And the food was absolutely AMAZING!! I was only in town to do shopping but I will definitely be back to eat here again.

Always great food, kind service and very reasonably priced for the quality of food. Between the taste of the sushi to the decor it's as if I was eating sushi in Japan again. Best around!

I stop at Hayashi’s for lunch on a Saturday. Only one table was occupied, so I got a seat right away. The menu offered a wide selection of items to choose from. I ordered two of the special rolls and a green tea, and they arrived at the table promptly. The rolls were good but not outstanding. I went to the women's bathroom and found it needed some cleaning, although it was spacious. Hayashi has very good service, a special menu, and is well-decorated. They just need to make their rolls extraordinary.

Hayashi Japanese Restuarant was one of the first places we ate at when my wife and I moved here and thought it was really good. Everytime we have eaten here we have found the staff to be very friendly and the food quite yummy. We will be back for sure. This place isn't one of those chain restaurants. You can tell the staff take pride in what they do.

I had a really good experience when I came here. My favorite item was the Smoked Salmon. Very good. Very rich with smoke flavor and a creamy buttery after taste. I could eat so much of that, but I had to stop. The appetizers were tasty, and the entrée filled me up, so I needed a to go box. Luckily, I got my left overs back to the fridge before they got room temp. It was worth the money, but it was still not a bad price.

I've been eating at and ordering from this restaurant for over a decade, and I can confidently say the food is consistently excellent. The service is friendly, and the atmosphere is always welcoming. They’re also incredibly accommodating when it comes to modifying sushi rolls for food intolerances or dietary restrictions, which I really appreciate.

Denny's is a beloved casual diner chain that serves up classic American comfort food, making it a go-to spot for all-day breakfast cravings. Diners rave about the attentive service, with staff like Adan and Eduardo going above and beyond to ensure guests feel welcomed and well taken care of.
Our server Adan was great! Very attentive, we didn't have to ask for refills on our drinks. He was right there to take care of us. I had the Moons Over Myhammy with hash browns well done. The sandwich was perfect, as were the hash browns. This is the first restaurant that actually cooked them the way I like them. My wife had the Red White and Blue breakfast with blueberry pancakes covered with fresh strawberries and whipped cream with a vanilla drizzle. Along with the pancakes she got two eggs over easy and well done bacon. Her meal was done perfect also. Our experience at Dennys today in Gurnee, Illinois was great. Meals were wonderful, server was great, and the restaurant was nice and clean. We'll be back soon when we're in the area again.

I'm Hispanic but do not look it. If you are not Hispanic and don't look it, your service is disgraceful. You stand at the counter waiting to be advised whether to sit and wait for your table or to follow them. All the while they are speaking Spanish in front of you like you don't exist. When you order food you wait 45 minutes. Hopefully you need extra calcium because your scrambled eggs will have shells in them and your hashbrowns will be cooked in grease. Also hope you had your vaccines as the silverware was dirty every single set. Good luck on getting anything you ask for as they don't return. Very very very disgusting. I was so disappointed and ashamed at the service provided to me and my family. Do better Hispanics, do better.

If I could leave zero stars I would. My son ordered boneless buffalo wings they looked like over cooked pieces of dough with a tiny bit of buffalo sauce. They tasted horrible so he sent that back and got the fish dinner and that also came over cooked and nasty. I do not recommend this place ever!!! McDonald’s would have been better.not once did they lady come to our table for drink refills or anything.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I ordered food to-go from this Denny’s and what I received was not what was advertised. The hash browns were undercooked, pale, and tasted like straight-up freezer burn. I showed the manager a comparison between my food and the promotional photo (you know, the one THEY use to lure customers in), and she had the audacity to tell me “you can’t compare the photos to real life.” Excuse me??? Then what’s the point of the ad?? Let’s be clear, I wasn’t expecting a photoshoot plate. I was expecting my food to be cooked properly. There’s a difference between a dish not “looking like the ad” and it being undercooked and barely edible. That’s not a photo issue, that’s a kitchen issue. She even admitted that other customers have complained about this. Save your money and go to McDonald’s for your breakfast or something

Friday evening dinner. The place was 1/6 full. Had a nice waitress. Ordered in five minutes and food served in 13 minutes. Both orders were for the fish (polluck). The fries were cold and the broccoli almost. You deserve a 3 because the place, including the bathrooms were clean. Your R/Rs had hot water! Our waitress always maintained a warm smile. Maybe just an off order. I'll come back again.

Bakers Square Restaurant & Bakery is a casual dining chain that offers a wide range of American comfort food and famous pies. The restaurant is known for its all-day breakfast options, delicious sandwiches, and savory pot pies. Customers praise the flavorful dishes such as the Bakers Square omelets and fresh fruit pancakes. While some have had mixed experiences with the service, many appreciate the friendly staff and cozy atmosphere.
Can't say anything bad, dined in! No mask requirement, even though we wore our masks as we are vaccinated. We had the bakers square omelets, my wife had the fresh fruit and pancake and I had toast and hash browns. We each had coffee and water. Everything was cooked appropriately, flavorful, good to look at, and the waitress was phenomenal. Let's face it, dining has changed after covid, and probably will never be back to what it was before. I would highly recommend this place for breakfast.

I had a Marble Rye Rueben with seasoned fries it was very good. My wife had strawberry crepes with bacon, sausage and hash bronws . Her crepes were cold and her sausage was as well. Their pies looked amazing I wanted to buy one but I was in a hurry.

The wait was a bit long to sit down because one of the workers had to deal with a disgruntled lady. Luckily, after a few minutes she acknowledged me and said she will get to us. Other workers kept walking by and didn't really assist her until she finally asked someone to seat us and the other people behind. My friend had the pork roast dinner and I had the stuffed hashbrowns with country chicken fried steak. The meal was decent but nothing to celebrate over. Pies of course is what you go here for. My friend got a pie to go brought to our booth after we were done eating. The wait staff was nice. I'd recommend just getting the pie to go and eating elsewhere.

Had a great experience with manager Glenn at the Gurnee location! Had order from Grub hub earlier in the day but had some issues with the order. Came in to the resturaunt and Glen had the cooks re make an order from earlier. For my troubles gave me a desert free charge to take home. What 8s great about this experience is that I didn't need to argue or beg!!! He treated me with respect and went above and beyond without having to ask!! Thank you Glenn!! Love bakers square!!

*Update* Baker Square reached out to me about my unsatisfied service I had a few weeks back. They helped write the situation and sent me free pie slices for the inconvenience I had. I appreciate them taking the time turn my experience into a better one. Thank you! ************* 4/9/19 Went to pick up one slice of pie to bring to someone for their birthday. The service was nice and fast. But when I pulled out the slice to put it in the fridge it looked like someone took a bite out of it. No I don't think someone ate it, but that was a waist of $5 and missing almost half of the pie I paid for.

Bar
Chicago Woodfire Pizza Co. offers a menu of traditional American dishes with a particular emphasis on pizza, all within a contemporary and industrial-inspired environment. The establishment has been praised for its exceptional and prompt service, with multiple friendly servers attending to guests, such as Eric and Susan. Despite the limited dining-out opportunities due to the pandemic, customers are enticed by the mouthwatering food that keeps them coming back for more.
I am not exactly sure how many times I have went to Gurnee Mills Mall to see this place and say that we have to try it one day. Well.....I can say we finally tried it and was impressed. Honestly, where else can you get an 8" personal pan pizza and unlimited trips to the salad bar for $16.99 each? Also.....HOLY BLOODY MARY for $10.00!!!!!!!! Perfect size, great garnishes, and the flavor your mouth waters for. When entering the restaurant through the mall, it was very clean. Any table that was empty was cleaned off and ready for the next customer. It was a wide open area with lots of room and great for those that can't stand being in tight quarters. The waitress (I have to get better at asking for names) was probably one of the best waitresses that I have had. She was very attentive, always checking on us, was personable, explained everything to us, brought out our drinks and food quickly and had the check ready once we were ready to leave. The salad bar was very fresh and seemed to always be replenished when it got low. It was also kept squeaky clean in between customer trips. And for the pizza...it was much bigger than anticipated for being a personal pan pizza. If you haven't visited this restaurant, it is for sure an adventure that should be planned with your friends and family. Where else can you go buy some shoes, clothes, and a gun and then eat some amazing food!
Wally K — Google review
I didn't have high expectations because it's a place in the mall but we decided to give it a try. It seemed like there was only two waitresses for the entire place so service was slow. Our waitress was nice enough but we only saw her once after the main courses came. We waited for about 40 minutes after ordering for our appetizers and salads and then another 20 at least for food. Definitely don't go here if you are in a rush. Food was okay.. onion rings were good but the pizza they are named after could use some work. They only have one wood burning oven which definitely could slow things down. Don't think I will be back here but don't let me sway you. Good thing was there was a lot of chicken on the salads.
Preston P — Google review
Would not recommend. The food was ok, basic bar food/pizza cuisine. It was the service that made it a “will not return” kind of visit. See below for a more detailed experience. Sure it was a combination of a new hire and a stressed out worker. Nonetheless, was not good. Fish tacos were decent. Went with a party of 3 an hour before they closed. Walked in and was not addressed by a server. When we asked if they were still open, was responded with “Yes. Just hold on, there is only two of us right now.” She sat us down and our waiter came by. Let him know our meal and drink order. He forgot to bring the three waters we asked for and I had to go ask him for the waters as he was sitting down across the room. We got cheese curds and the calamari. Was tasty but obviously was just frozen and reheated. Two of the three meals came with an extra wait on the pizza. Buffalo chicken Mac and cheese was bland. Fish tacos were really good and came packed with good presentation. However, when the pizza arrived, the server accidentally dropped it. He said sorry and then went back to get a new one going. We asked for it to be in a to-go box because it had already been an hour. The other woman brought the pizza without a to-go box and let us know that when you put a pizza on a plate it is bound to fall. This weird excuse for why the pizza fell made the experience worse. Finally got our ticket and was given no discount for this experience. Definitely won’t be back.

1st time here. Our sever Colleen was really cool, very welcoming and polite, she answered all our questions and made suggestions. Atmosphere felt like a high end bar and grill, laid back but still a little fancy. We enjoyed the food. Our picky son loved the pizza and said he'd pick this pizza over all others. Only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars was for the bathroom, it was clean-ish, looked like they cleaned, but yet hadn't dusted in awhile (black tiles on the wall could use a wipe down) and the ladies room stalls were small, good luck if you need the handicap stall, cause even that seemed small. Overall I would highly recommend their food, very good, we will definitely be back! We ordered a 12" wood fire grilled 4 cheese (with pepperoni) pizza, 2 chicken finger salads (no tomatoes) and the chicken garlic bread. The pizza was awesome, the garlic bread was really good, the salads were good, but not spectacular. Really appreciated that our server brought us a bottle of water to the table for self serve refills.

Today was my first time here. My boyfriend got the meat lovers, he said it was good just like any other pizza. I got the pulled pork sandwich, can’t compare it to any since this was my first at a restaurant but it was delicious, couldn’t even eat it all. 4 stars because it took about 3-5 minutes to be seated and the waitress didn’t come get our order quick, another table got up and left because no one came to them. Service is not so good, but food it would go back. Kinda expensive though 42 dollars
Jena R — Google review
Pleasantly surprised at the good pizza. So many wood & coal fired pizzas are delicate little works of art with thin spread of toppings, more a flatbread. Not the case here, they layered the toppings on heavy enough that it qualifies as pizza/meal. The crust was crisp. The taste of the wood fire singed in perfectly. Sized perfect for one person. Or to be split if you have appetizers or the salad bar. Great server.. very attentive and informative. Would definitely go back.
Bill E — Google review
First time I've visited the place, always wanted to try woodfire pizzas. The pizzas ordered were very good but most impressive was the time it took to get our order on our table, our waiter Shawn ( not too sure of his name) tried his very best to welcome my party of 4, very attentive, however my wife's buffalo Wings were horrible tasting, so don't waste your money on that, but that's how you learn. All in all we enjoyed the place.

We have been coming here for over a decade, and it's our family's favorite sushi restaurant. I don't see anything wrong with the staff eating infront of us, they need to eat too! If it's your restaurant or family business why not? And the waitress has been so kind for SOOOo many years! She's the sweetest lady I swear. If she is not smiling then she must be so tired..Have mercy on that one. We go there so much they literally watched my daughter grow up. Their children have also grown, not sure but I believe the sons help make the sushi and they do an excellent job. People who complain about the sushi tasting plain are most likely so accustomed to eating over processed food with a bunch of salt. Imagine going back and forth cleaning and serving is so tiring, and I bet making the sushi is not easy either. Be kind, you never know what others go through. I have dragged so many friends and family with me to this place through out the years and they all loved it. We do all you can and they work so hard everytime and the sushi is ALWAYS very good.

Went to this place after going to six flags and wanting a you know decent dinner, come to find out I would stumble upon a absolutely disgusting diner. Between the staff or kitchen staff being very cheap on their ingredients, such as the shrimp tempura having barely any shrimp to begin with, leaving things out of rolls, using cucumbers that are not yet ripened and not ripe avocados for rolls. This place quite frankly was very distasteful and overpriced. Along with all that the sushi rolls were all very similar and very bland, avoid getting cream cheese rolls because you will only taste the cream cheese, I have very few positive opinions with this establishment. The ratio of ingredients to Rice was just astronomically off. PLEASE AVOID GOING TO THIS PLACE!!! And if you do do not even bother trying to confront the staff about it, they will have no reaction and not even give you an answer that is related to what your complaint was. I confronted the waitress about my rules feeling very overcooked and overall poorly made, and the only response I got from her was "no no it's new it's new." And then she proceeded to walk off and charged me $10 for discussing sushi I would not eat. AGAIN PLEASE LET ME EMPHASIZE THIS PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT IT IS NOT WORTH YOUR TIME OR YOUR MONEY!!!

I really would never return to this place. One of the things I value most is the service, even if your food is terrible. But if your food is terrible, the customer service is terrible, and I also have to pay, I think I have reasons not to return. I'm sorry for being so honest, but I'm a home sushi maker, and I think I could do much better than this place. I even thought it would be a good idea to open my own sushi place. I don't know who the lady who serves is, but I think she should improve her attitude and service. It wasn't pleasant at all, which is why I only gave her 1 star.

Might have been the worst sushi I’ve had. Rolls were flavorless, all taste the same. Rice to sushi portions were way off, way too much rice. The service was awful, not friendly. The Nigiri sushi, hardly any fish, all rice!!! Talk about being disappointed. We ordered 1 round of AYCE sushi, could not eat anymore of it.
Wymann W — Google review
Ordered the three roll lunch special and ended up throwing it out after eating I piece of each. They all tasted like bad grease. I ordered the spicy tuna, spicy salmon and an eel. So I don’t know where the grease came from. But will never come back. I would rather eat from a gas station
Phil L — Google review
The sushi was so so so sad. The nigiri was warm and barely had fish. Every piece of nigiri and sushi had an ungodly amount of rice. I’ve been here a while back before and it’s sad to see nothing has changed. There was a small hair on one of my rolls and I kept trying to pick all the excess rice off just to see they specifically charge for rice leftover. They know they use too much rice based off of their complaints but they continue to do so in order to scam everyone to get fuller when eating off the all you can eat menu. No flavor in the sushi and just tastes like rice. Poor quality of fish and nothing is fresh. DONT EAT HERE. The lady that works here is very very rude as well and gets annoyed when asked for something. The young man that works there was nice and had great service, he was the only good part of the restaurant.

We ordered the all-you-can-eat, after crunching the numbers and finding it may be more affordable. Our server was not attentive and seemed miserable- not one smile the whole time 😢. Our 12 yo son felt very sick during the meal due to a full day in the sun at Six Flags, so he spent half of the meal in the bathroom. He ordered soup and 3 rolls. He could not finish 2 of the rolls, unfortunately, due to feeling sick. They charged us $10 additional (so $36.99 for his meal), despite the fact he was sick and despite the fact his meal did not exceed the $26.99 the all you can eat cost was. It was sad. Sushi was not fresh tasting- no offense to the sushi makers themselves, but the ingredients were not fresh. Bathrooms were filthy. Would not recommend.

Nestled in a vibrant locale, Jalisco Mexican Restaurant is a delightful gem that embodies the spirit of authentic Mexican cuisine. Founded by two brothers and their nephew, this eatery boasts a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere that instantly puts you at ease. During my recent visit for lunch with a coworker, I was greeted by friendly staff amidst the lively buzz of patrons enjoying their meals. The food truly shines here; I savored the tortas, which were bursting with juicy flavor.
The Tampiquena and fajitas were amazing. Tender steak, very flavorful. The rice and the beans were amazing and Marcos (?) brought me extra lime and consistent refills of my drink. Everyone smiling and happy there even though we were in at an off time for late lunch. Beautiful decor and super clean. Highly recommend!

I cant comment on the drinks because we didnt have any. We had a great experience & will definitely be back.

I decided to take my coworker out for lunch today and have to say it was a good choice. So, let me get into it! The moment you enter Jalisco Restaurant you can feel how welcoming the staff is. It is very laid back and easy going. It will have to say it was very popping! There was a huge party that filled the entire store! That’s how one knows it’s good I will say! The food was excellent. I got the tortas and I did like it a lot. The chicken was very juicy and very tasty. I could tell the cooks really cared about the dish and even my friend food. The service was pretty good only thing was our waitress forgot to bring our chips out. Overall, I will say this is the spot for tacos in this area!

The food is really good, it has flavor and seasoning. It is a bit expensive, so heads up. The only reason for the 4 stars is because they have only soccer on the TV. The restaurant has typical Mexican decor. The seats are used barrels, which are surprisingly comfortable.

Visited this, what i would describe as an authentic mexican restaurant on a recent Thursday night. The place was very crowded which is always a good sign. Enjoyed the Enchillades and the taco salad entrees which were flavorful and well portioned. Ordered the small Corona rita (Mango) drink which was delicious and festive for the meal. Guests can indulge in delicious sushi, which is skillfully presented.
Saw the reviews and decided to stop in during the visit to the area. WOW! The restaurant is nothing fancy but the food and the service was SPECTACULAR!!! It's the best sushi we've ever had nationwide, zero question. The flavor, the presentation, everything. We'll be dreaming of this place for a long time as we continue to move around the country. We recommend the Nigiri and Sashimi chef's choice options as well as the vegetable tempura (see the pics). We were so glad we made these choices. Also, their green tea was actually fresh and tasteful. Everything was perfect and we were stuffed!

I’ve been a customer for a few years now. Both dine in and take out. The last two times I’ve been disappointed with the quality of the food, but this time I was disappointed with the cleanliness. I found a long piece of hair in one of the sushi’s I ordered. I feel disgusted that I ate a few pieces before finding the hair. And it was funny because this time the sushi was actually better than the last two times I ordered. And with the increases in prices I really never see myself coming back. I loved this place for such a long time and even recommended others to give it a try. Now AHA won’t even cross my mind when people ask me for a good sushi place. Overall a very disheartening experience and I don’t recommend eating here!

Kinda torn writing this review. The food is good and hits the spot when you're hungry. The ramen and rolls are decent--not mind-blowing. We've had better in bigger cities, but hey, this is Gurnee, and food options are limited. So go here sushi and ramen around here, What really stood out was the service. There was only one server working the whole place, and it was packed. She handled it like a pro and was super sweet, especially with the kids. Her service push this rating from 3.5 stars to 4 stars. We'll definitely swing by again next time we're in Gurnee.

Definitely recommend this spot! My sister and I dined in here. We had the spicy scallop roll, the Black Widow roll, salmon nigiri, and shrimp fried rice. The nigiri is fresh and well portioned. The black widow roll is great, I would say it's a spicy scallop roll with an inclusion of eel and avocado on top. I wasn't a big fan of the shrimp fried rice, but my sister loved it. Our server, Dominick, was attentive and witty. He had great recommendations for us about rolls to order. The ambience is very warm and cozy. This restaurant was a pleasant surprise in the fast food cesspool that is Gurnee, IL. Make sure to stop by, reader.

First of all, when people come in, the staff should ask where they want to sit—like at the bar or at a table. But when we arrived, the staff didn’t ask us anything. After we were seated, other people came in and the staff treated them differently—more politely—and asked where they wanted to sit. It felt like we were being treated rudely. We ordered ramen, one sushi roll, and takoyaki. However, the server didn’t seem to hear us order the takoyaki and later asked if we still wanted it. When it finally arrived, all of the pieces looked burnt. The ramen was okay, but not great—I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. We only ordered one sushi roll because I was really craving sushi, and we chose the Crazy Roll, which is supposed to have spicy mayo on top. But when we got it, there was barely any sauce—just a small dot of spicy mayo. It’s definitely not worth $18. On top of that, some of the pieces were falling apart. Honestly, I could make better sushi myself. I’ve tried a lot of sushi places, and this was by far the worst.

Wow… every plate was amazing and looking great. Way beyond my expectation for our dinner tonight. If you never tried fried shumai, this is different. Must try this before your main. My favorite is the seared squid sushi and squid sashimi!!

Worst experience that I’ve had with sushi in my life. Everything tasted old. I love sushi, and Im always out and about dining at sushi places. The rolls seemed old, the crab ragoon was tasting weird, the seaweed salad oh jesus! I left hoping to not have something wrong with my stomach. sad….

Aha Sushi is fantastic! Their sushi is fresh and delicious, with a great variety of deep-fried rolls. The ramen is good, but I wish the egg was runny vs hard boiled in traditional ramen style. Overall, great food and friendly service. We will definitely be back!

Chinese restaurant
Chan's Chinese Restaurant is a cozy local establishment serving authentic Chinese dishes in a casual setting. The cuisine is simple and traditional, with staples like Hunan Chicken and Singapore curry noodles offered. The food is of exceptional quality, prepared with great care using fresh ingredients, resulting in delicious flavors. Even when delivered, the taste remains as if dining at the restaurant itself. Chan's has gained popularity for its consistently tasty pizza as well, which is promptly delivered steaming hot before the estimated time.
We found Chan's during the pandemic and they are our favorite Chinese restaurant to order from. Their food is always hot and fresh, they put new things on the menu occasionally as well as the classics. Even their fried appetizers are always crispy and hot. It's our favorite Chinese restaurant. My husband's favorite is the chicken almond ding. I go back and forth between the eggplant with garlic sauce, the BBQ duck fried rice, and the seafood curry fried rice. Love the option to order the Dinner for $3. Highly recommended.

this was our first time here we thought we were going to dine in but The dining room is closed. It was never reopened after Covid. We had the orange chicken, which was really tough. Don’t know if it was old but the shrimp fried rice and chicken sweet-and-sour was very good. I would recommend this restaurant.

BEWARE!! I ordered the shrimp Subgum chow mein from Chans. I have been eating subgum chow mein for too many years (40yrs) to admit. It was absolutely AWFUL! The paper bag that was delivered to my front porch was dripping all over the porch and down the hallway of my home. I didn't even realize it was dripping at first, because I didn't order soup or anything with a soup like consistently, so I certainly wasn't expecting a leak from the bag. After I got the food into the kitchen and on the counter, I started to unpack it. I thought maybe I had received the wrong order and I had somebody else's order with soup in it. But it wasn't the soup, it was the shrimp subgum chow mein. Yes, my shrimp and vegetables we're just simply swimming in water. I immediately called the restaurant and spoke with some lady who explained to me that it's watery because of the bean sprouts. What do the bean sprouts have to do with making shrimp subgum chow mein? Subgum chow mein is supposed to have a nice, rich, thick opalescent sauce that clings to the vegetables and shrimp. It should also be flavorful. If I wanted steamed shrimp and vegetables in water, that's what I would have ordered. So I asked the lady if I could add cornstarch to thicken up it up, because I know that is how they thicken up the subgum sauce. She says "yes, on the stove, add a little water and slowly add in cornstarch to thicken it up and then add it to the shrimp subgum". I realize that I didn't spend $55 to go to the stove and start mixing together a thickener, in order to have the shrimp subgum chow mein that I initially ordered. I tried to eat it, however it was simply just steamed shrimp and vegetables with no flavor profile at all. I really wanted the flavor of that flavorful thick subgum sauce that every other Chinese restaurant, that offers subgum chow mein, now how to successfully create in their own kitchen. I then tried to call the restaurant the next day, but I didn't realize it was Monday and they were closed, so I waited until Tuesday and reach back out to the restaurant. I spoke with a very rude man. I asked him why it was so waterery and he said "after 20 minutes it gets watery because of the bean sprouts ". Again with the bean sprouts!? I asked why is it that every other Chinese restaurant that I've ordered subgum from, ever after a night in the refrigerator and being reheated the next day, still has a velvety, thick and flavorful sauce clinging to the vegetables and shrimp. He told me that if I don't like their subgum, I should order something different. But I have a better idea! I'll never order from you again, and I will make sure that everybody that I know, is aware of how much your food lacks and how unprofessional, inconsiderate and rude your restaurant is. I reached out to GrubHub too to let them know how dissatisfied I was. I don't often complain but when I spend $55 on takeout Chinese, I want and expect a nice meal, even a decent meal would do. Definitely would have been better off even with Panda Express at this point. So if you want authentic, flavorful, rich Chinese-American food, I would steer very clear of Chan's Chinese restaurant!!
Jennifer L — Google review
I have been going to Chan’s for a few years now. They started off with good food but lately they have been slacking. I ordered shrimp fried rice and it didn’t taste like it had any seasoning. I ordered extra egg for the fried rice but they put the whole extra egg on the very top of the rice. Would be better if it was cooked and mixed together evenly. Also, the Mongolian chicken is very good but the last 4 times I’ve had it, it has been Mongolian ONION instead of chicken. I even requested extra chicken and it seems they gave me extra onion. Also every time I go there, the workers are always sitting down eating. LOL. I’m going to leave them alone for now and find somewhere else to go for Chinese food.
Yulana W — Google review
If I could give less than one star I would. This is the nastiest chinese food I've tasted in a long time. Dont waste your money. Ordered two lunch items. Chicken egg foo young and Mongolian beef. The egg foo Yung gravy was gross and looked like clumpy jelly. The chicken inside was hard as was the hard sprouts inside. It was not softened and tasted like raw cabbage. The fried rice that came with it tasted days old clumpy and greasy. No scallions in it just nasty. The Mongolian beef was tender but was so salty you couldn't stand to eat it. The accompanying fried rice was the same. Tasted old, clumpy, hard and greasy. It came with egg rolls that were very small greasy and soggy. Wasted money. It was so gross it went to the garbage.

Chipotle Mexican Grill is a laid-back dining spot that specializes in delicious Mexican cuisine. Here, you can customize your own burritos, tacos, and bowls to suit your taste buds perfectly. Known for generous portion sizes and speedy service, Chipotle prides itself on using fresh ingredients that elevate each meal. If you're looking for a satisfying and flavorful experience, this location certainly stands out as one of the best!
They loaded up our burritos for sure and gave us the real portion sizes we’re supposed to have!! Very fast service and fresh ingredients. I love Chipotle and this is very clearly one of their top locations.
Connor M — Google review
Just picked up the food and this small little section of meat is all they gave me. I thought it was weighted very lightly for spending 15 dollars on the bowl, and it looks empty on one side barely any servings of beans and meat. Pregnant and disappointed at the serving size for the price.
Berenice L — Google review
The food at the chipotle was very delicious. We decided to get three tacos, cheese quesadillas, and a chicken burrito bowl. The location is very close to Gurnee Mills, Mall, and right off of the highway. The only reason I gave it low stars is because the service was horrendous. The girls behind the counter were extremely rude. But the food was delicious.

Ordered the steak burrito bowl with all the toppings. But when it arrived it only had the rice beans and steak. It also looked like it was half eaten. The portion was small!!

This bowl was horrible ,some meat wasn’t cooked and some over cooked. Rubbery and chewy , less portion than usual. I wouldn’t feed this to my dog and delivery service wasn’t helpful at all

I went to pick up my order from this location, I had one chunk of meet the size of a tennis ball in my bowl that's it. The place was so messy I was questioning how clean do they keep the kitchen if they allow the dining area to be this messy. No one asked if I needed help. Very unprofessional, expected more from this Location.

We had an extremely disappointing experience. We arrived at the restaurant at 9:50 PM, fully aware they closed at 10 PM. While several people were still seated and eating, we were told we couldn’t dine in and were rushed out before we even started our meal. One staff member, who refused to give her name, was incredibly rude. I work in retail myself, and I honestly can’t understand how someone with that attitude holds a customer-facing job. The service was by far the worst we’ve experienced in the U.S. We explained that we had just received our food and were willing to leave with the other guests who were still eating—but they insisted we leave immediately. When we asked to speak with a manager, a woman named Citlali came over and repeated the same message with no empathy or explanation. We ended up eating our food outside, in the dark, surrounded by mosquitoes—while watching others remain comfortably inside eating until at least 10:10 PM. We rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience absolutely warranted one. They don’t even deserve a single star
Erhan O — Google review
Low standing chipotle I've been to. Firstly, one of the line attendants picked meat with his gloves, ate the meat while stepping aside and didnt even change his gloves. Last I check that is not standard food handlers. Food line and drink station was very dirty seems like it hasn't been wiped down for a good while or refreshed. I am not sure what type of training is in place but seems like everyone needs a refresher of food handlers license along with a manager refresher of the Managers Food Handlers. As everything should be cleaned and wiped down at least every 30 minutes.

I loved it I will be going back this is a great restaurant 👌 😍 and the Hibachi It's superb.
Wayman P — Google review
The hibachi guy didn't want to get off of his phone He told the woman no he wasn't going to when she told him to cook me some food. The other female came over and told him to do it and he got up and did it. That was the best food that I had in the entire place. I usually take down half a pot of egg drop soup and this was the nastiest I've ever tasted I could not take two bites. It was not even used with broth it was just water with egg and some plain oil that tasted like cleaner. The mushrooms were so slimy it's slipped right out of my finger. They were so squishy and slimy I couldn't get it to poke into the fork. I don't know how many days that fried rice was sitting in the container but it was extra hard no moisture at all. Not very many vegetables to choose from other than the basic salad. As a vegetarian I feel like $17 per meal as even not a vegetarian person would feel like $17 per meal is way overpriced. This shouldn't be priced over $9 a meal. It is not a gourmet It is a low class low budget not $17 a meal worth. Let me include the information that $17 was not even with a drink. Both my daughter and I each only had water. With a drink is probably $20. This is definitely not a $20 meal place at all. Not even close. I will go somewhere else next time. This place is very low class. It took extra effort and a second person just to get the kid off of the phone to work the hibachi grill. And the food is very, very old. I don't even know how the safety department allows this to be served.
AnAngelsKiss — Google review
Great place to eat especially if you are looking for different options. The food was good. The only downside was that our table was not clean when we were seated.
Lue S — Google review
The place itself is decent, when it comes to the food. It was stale and hard as if I had been sitting for hours. When asked for fresh food they said we can get what we wanted at the grill bar. They seemed not to care for the service. The cold bar was ok, its sushi and even that doesn't stay fresh for long. I don't recond this place unless it's your last resort and don't have anywhere else to eat.

They have different varieties sushi, Mongolian grill, lomein, chowmin, glass noodles, 8-10 chicken, 2 beef , 2 pork ,2 prawn, 2 fish dishes. Fresh salad bar, fruits ,a few desserts, also few American food . Pretty much everything. But this place could do a renovation. I liked it .

I would give a four, but the the restaurant was a little worn down. It has potential and the pictures are real on the panorama, but you have to see up close. The place needs an update, especially the bathroom. I am sure it was beautiful years ago. Plates could be replaced as well. However, i enjoyed the lunch. Everything was hot. I was a little concerned based on many reviews about old food, but went anyway. It had a few diffrent items that i usually dont see at other buffets like: ceviche, dragon fruit, actual cheesecake, and hot spicy chicken, to name a few. I would come again.
Denice K — Google review
I hate writing this, but it’s time. We’ve had a few issues with orders not being done, which is tolerable. But, honestly the place is failing apart. I don’t trust the quality of the food. In our last order we found these shells in our chicken Mongolian. Thinking my little could of choked, a chipped toothed or just the grossness of finding this in our food makes me cringe. We are no longer supporting this business. Sorry.

Jimano's Pizzeria is a popular pizza chain in Gurnee that serves both deep-dish and thin-crust pies, along with pasta and sandwiches. Customers have been highly satisfied with their meals, finding the toppings to be generous and the overall experience amazing. The staff is known for being friendly, courteous, and helpful. The pizzas are surprisingly large for their small size but come at a great price.
Unbelievably good. Sauce was perfect. Ingredients were fresh and plentiful. Inside seating was clean but didn't have "atmosphere", almost fast food but the pizza is definately not. Highly recommend!!

I ordered a grilled salad. Upon opening the bag, I found a roach inside the salad plate, which appeared to have been prepared two or three days prior. I called the place and asked to speak with the manager in charge of the location to find a solution, but they just hung up the phone. Be careful when ordering food from this establishment. Who knows what condition their cooler is in inside the kitchen

Great pizza, their pizza thin crust pizza is my favorite. Always nice and hot. Not overly greasy and good tasting ingredients.
Autumn D — Google review
I was in a mood for deep dish pizza so I wanted to try this place. We ordered a medium sized Pan pizza and an order of a 10 piece wing with 2 drinks. When the total came up it was $62 for 1 medium sized pizza and wings (I wasn’t paying for it, the person I was with said they wanted to treat me to dinner) it took me by surprise. The pizza was just "Ok" the toppings on it was chicken, Giardinera and the vegan pepperoni. I shouldn’t have gotten the pepperoni because the texture and taste didn’t not go well with the pizza. I could barely taste any of the tomato sauce which is important to the entirety of the pizza. I have a pretty high standard when it comes to how my food tastes but the person I was with whom is pretty even keel when it comes to food surprisingly said "The pizza is a no for me" The Garlic Parmesan wings were pretty decent. It was the best part of the meal. Were they worth the $17? No. All in all I ended up giving my friend some money back on the food because I felt bad about the experience. The people we interacted with that worked there were nice, we just were disappointed with the quality of the pizza for that price. Maybe we’re spoiled with the variety of good pizza places around our town where it’s good quality pizzas for decent pricing. For example we could’ve gotten 2 bigger sized, better tasting pizzas from a Derangos Ferraros, Infusinos WITH wings for around the same price.

If you're on the hunt for a classic fast-food experience, look no further than White Castle. This beloved chain is famous for its signature sliders, featuring beef, chicken, and even fish options that are sure to satisfy any craving. During my recent visit to one of their locations, I was greeted by friendly staff in a clean and inviting atmosphere that instantly made me feel at home. The bright decor added a cheerful touch to the dining area.
🍟🍔I recently visited this White Castle location, and I was thoroughly impressed with the overall experience. The exterior is clean and welcoming, with clear signage and a touch of festive spirit that sets a pleasant tone. Upon entering, the atmosphere was inviting with well-maintained tables and bright, cheerful lighting that gave the dining area a cozy vibe. The food, as always, did not disappoint. The sliders were fresh and delicious, served hot and packed with flavor, just as expected from White Castle. I particularly enjoyed the variety, from classic sliders to innovative toppings, and the sides like onion rings were crispy and tasty. The staff was courteous and attentive, and the food preparation was impressively quick. What stood out to me the most was how tidy and organized the space felt. The dining area was spacious, with ample seating options, and the décor added a charming touch. I appreciated the small Halloween decorations, which showed that the team cared about adding a bit of seasonal flair. Overall, this White Castle location offered a delightful dining experience. From cleanliness to food quality and a comfortable ambiance, everything exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you’re craving a quick bite with great service!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I haven't had White Castle in years, but my dad and I stopped by this one on a Thursday afternoon while we were waiting on some car maintenance. Everybody was super friendly and the food was pretty good! The original sliders were about as mid as I remember them always being, but the chicken/honey mustard sliders were SO GOOD. My dad's vegetarian and loved the Impossible sliders. All in all, great location and very welcoming staff.

Wonderful late-night meal. A bit overpriced on some items. The new chicken slider combo was close to $10 with/ tax. The 2 small thin chicken patties were crispy as advertised but were served on 2 dry plain buns. There were no condiments or pickles on the sliders. Everyone else enjoyed the regular burgers with and without cheese. The service was fast and exceptional considering the time of night.

Tacos el Durango Mexican Grill is a simple self-service eatery that offers classic Mexican dishes like fajitas, tacos, and chicken mole. Recently discovered by someone who works nearby, this hidden gem impressed with its quick service and delicious food. Compared to the popular Tacos El Norte, Tacos el Durango stands out for its superior flavors and high-quality cuisine. The meals are hot and satisfying, making it a convenient option for those on a tight lunch break schedule.
I had the combination plate of taco, enchilada, and some cheesy thing. Included rice and beans. I only ate half of it because it was quite filling. It was very tasty and made with a unique flavored sauce. This place is a hole in the wall and a gem to be found and enjoyed. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Oh, they have the Mexican Coca-Cola with cane sugar. I recommend checking it out

Did we just become best friends? YUP! 😅 I found this gem hidden in a small strip mall in waukegan Illinois. I make it my goal to try small Mexican restaurants across the US and this is BY FAR the best Al Pastor Taco Dinner I've had IN THE UNITED STATES. It's actually been a few months since the last time I ate here and really been missin' it. IMHO Tacos el Durango is in my top 3 among Mexican restaurants in Lake county and in this county alone there's gotta be easily 200+ places to get Mexican eats. Cozy venue is always kept ultra clean and friendly staff/owners are serving up delicious Mexican fare at reasonable prices. A bit of a hidden gem even though it's off of a main drag just west of US 41 in a low lying strip mall in far southeast Gurnee near the Park City border.

This place is a hidden gem in Gurnee! It has absolutely delicious traditional Mexican food! This Is a small family owned restaurant with no more than 10 tables. While eating there with my husband recently I commented to him that the sopes were so good that it tasted like his mom could have made them. Overhearing this, our server replied, “That’s because MY mom made them!” You have to give this place a try. While somewhat pricey for Mexican food it is definitely worth it.

Yum! Just tried this little gem today. I work right down the street and never knew this place was here! Someone recommended it to me that I work with so went there for lunch today. The service is great. They are very prompt. Great food, great service, and good food. I use to go to Tacos El Norte but this place in my opinion is better! Tacos el Durango has better tasting and quality food. It is hot and you feel satisfied when your done. I only have a certain amount of time to take my break so this is very convenient. annalise & nia were so sweet! i had such a great experience with the staff here and for that reason alone i highly recommend it. everyone is so nice always. the food is great, staff is great, atmosphere is great, i could go on! but huge props to the team especially annalise and nia! 🥰 thanks again girls! 🍝 i have a nut allergy (tree nuts) and this is a safe place for me to eat. they recently added pecans to the menu but because they’re in the salads (same with wendy’s) i’ve never had an issue and have eaten here a ton. i recommend the new garlic bacon mac & cheese and the chicken parmesan those are my favorites. if you’re craving noodles, stop by. be sure to tip the incredible staff! <3

Best cookie EVER! Even got 3 more to take home. Haven't had anything I've disliked here but I keep going back to the buttered noodles with extra parm & extra seasoning- so simple but so delicious! Love the chicken pot stickers & cheesy garlic toast too. It was so good i didn't even get a picture before we started eating, lol!.

We ordered our meals at 1:47p and weren't given them until 2:10p. Had they told us before we ordered that they were busy, understaffed, ect and that it was going to be 20 plus minutes we, at the minimum, could have decided to order or leave. 20 plus minutes for fast food seems a touch unreasonable. Otherwise, the Buffalo Chicken Cheese Mac bowl was okay.

We visited this location today (5/13) around 7:15pm even with the locations POS systems down we were easily able to place our order online. The manager on the floor came out to check on us and was super friendly. The whole team working was very organized and fast! They were super busy and managed to get orders out one after the next. We were impressed. Great job team!

Biryani restaurant
Biryani Pointe in Gurnee offers a modest cafe space serving up traditional Indian and Pakistani dishes, with a focus on halal meats. The menu features various types of biryani, along with sandwiches, spicy meat dishes, and a wide selection of vegetarian options. While the prices may be on the higher side for some, the delicious flavors make it worth a visit. Customers particularly rave about the chicken biryani and are willing to travel long distances just to pick it up.
Authantic hyderabadi mutton Biryani that tastes like home! A good quantity and true taste

Worst place to eat Indian food. We ordered biryani and dal rice. Rice and biryani both looked the same. Tasted so bland it had no spice or flavor to it. Dal didn’t look like dal. Tasted weird. Upon talking to owner she said that’s how dal tadka is and you said you want medium spicy biryani did not take account of service instead educated us. Anyways overall a bad experience never going to any biryani point again

One-word Review: Disappointing Dish, High Price, Zero Flavor! Taste: 1/5 Quantity: 3/5 Quality: 1/5 Value for Money: 1/5 Service: 2/5 Packaging: 4/5 Hygiene: 3/5 Overall: 1.5/5 ➡️ First Impression: As someone who enjoys exploring new food spots, I was looking forward to trying Biryani Pointe in Gurnee—especially because it specializes in biryani. Unfortunately, this experience turned out to be a complete letdown. ➡️ What I Ordered: I ordered the Mutton Biryani, priced at $23.99 + tax. At this price point, expectations were high for rich flavors and tender meat. But sadly, it was nothing close to what a biryani should be. ➡️ Taste & Quality: The dish was incredibly bland. It tasted more like plain white rice with half-cooked mutton pieces casually thrown in. It lacked any biryani aroma, spice, or depth of flavor. I even left a note asking to make it spicy, but the chef completely ignored it. The raitha was equally disappointing—thin, flavorless, and not fresh. Honestly, it didn’t even look like biryani, let alone taste like one. ➡️ Portion vs Price: For $23.99, this biryani was shockingly overpriced. The portion might be fair, but the lack of quality, taste, and authenticity makes it feel like a complete waste of money. You expect a lot more from a place with “Biryani” in its name. ➡️ Packaging & Presentation: The only saving grace was the packaging—clean, secure, and spill-free. However, packaging alone can't carry the experience. ➡️ Final Thoughts: It pains me to leave a negative review, but this was genuinely one of the worst biryani experiences I’ve had. Recommendations for improvement: Stick to authentic biryani recipes and ensure the meat is fully cooked and marinated. Pay attention to customer instructions—especially spice levels. Reconsider pricing. $23.99 is too high for a dish that lacks flavor and effort. Unless significant changes are made, I wouldn’t recommend the Mutton Biryani from Biryani Pointe in Gurnee. Hopefully, the management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving their standards.

I ordered Chicken Tandoori Curry via Uber Eats, and it was a complete letdown. The chicken was clearly frozen for ages resulting in loss of tenderness, with a foul smell and disgusting taste. I had to toss the whole thing in the trash. I expected way better quality and honesty from the restaurant and service. Hugely disappointing experience.

Finally decided to stop at Biryani Pointe after driving passed it a million times. It was AMAZING! Much cheaper than I expected and all the food was extremely satisfying, not too mention the excellent service. Will be coming here frequently. The butter chicken with garlic naan and rice 🤤

I honestly don’t know what all the bad reviews are about, Mohammed is the greatest server in Gurnee, Illinois. So whoever doesn’t think so is a known communist in the Illinois communist party. We had the opportunity to eat the butter, chicken, samosas, and chicken 65 biryani . We picked up some mango lassi and that was pretty good too, believe it or not there’s not a lot of sugar in that. Overall, it was great. We had a good time. PS it’s a little warm in here.

I asked for meatloaf with gravy on the side they drowned the meatloaf in gravy to hide the fact that the meatloaf was dried out and old. The cornbread was cold and all stuck together the Mac & cheese was cold and salty. My 7 year old gave it 2 thumbs down

If I could give it ZERO stars I would! I used to visit this location often when I lived in Waukegan. Today I decide to stop in, food was not fresh, cold, meatloaf tasted like a frozen dinner, no working ice machine, and had the nerve to charge $35 for a meal I wouldn’t feed to my dog! #trash

This is the “cornbread” we got. The rice was hard & not cooked all the way. The mac & cheese was so watered down & the chicken was completely dry too. This place used to be SO GOOD & it’s so awful now. Customer service was great but the food was not good. We couldn’t even eat any of it.

First off, Kudos to having such kind and helpful employees. I ordered at the driver thru today (9/26/22 at 12:30ish), and really had a pleasant interaction. I drove about 30 minutes to visit this location. I haven’t had Boston Market in YEARS, and unfortunately, due to the quality of my meal, it’ll probably be years before I consider giving their food another try. I was so disappointed, because the food used to be SO GOOD. The cornbread muffin was cold and pasty tasting. The rice was bland, the sweet potato casserole was comparable to sweet potatoes from a jar of baby food. They were out of creamed spinach. 😢 The chicken was the only thing palatable on my plate. So that was a waste of money and time driving.

Was curious about the new rotisserie chicken nuggets & it was okay , sauce helped a little. The sides Mac, broccoli & garlic potatoes was okay too , it's just not the same like back then. Employees were helpful keep up the good work! Gotta try other things give it another shot but TBH feels like hit or miss & $21 was a bit much for the portion.

I ordered 2 large mashed potatoes and 2 large gravy and I paid 25 dollars with tip online. Just to receive 4 small containers. I reiterated to the girl that I ordered large and she said ok and gave me these small containers that could feed 1 person. Very upset with my service those containers look more like 4 bucks each. Threw out my money just to go elsewhere.

Undoubtedly the worst dining experience for anyone who steps in. Parking lot is empty save for a group of panhandlers who seemed to made this their hub point. Never seems to have business so you would expect a short and convenient serving time but on the contrary. You will wait upwards of ten minutes before you have what is expected to be a homestyle meal. My son and I went and we ordered two chicken carvers sandwiches. Our server talked to us while the cook made our food and we appreciated the small talk but that was the peak of our experience. We were given our food on a tray and we're apologized to for our waiting due to the sandwiches being warmed up. Is the food not supposed to be warm as it's made? I asked for any type of hot sauce on the side and was provided with two unique sauces. Both were delicious but we unfortunately couldn't have the same sentiments about our entrees. Our sandwiches were steaming and about as soggy as a shoe left in the rain. Upon separating the bread slices, we were met with wilted lettuce, a measly slice ripped in half. Tomatoes were sliced as thick as steak and my son's tomatoes looked liked sheets of paper. Mayonnaise curdled probably to them being "warmed up", code for microwaved, from my experience working in restaurants in my youth. Mayo spread was unbelievably poor and stingy for lack of a better term. The chicken was adequate if you hadn't eaten in two weeks that is. Our broccoli was bland but I could have overlooked that if we hadn't been served the obvious past its holding time vegetable. My son was given wilted dark as night broccoli and i was given bright green broccoli that was cold on the inside. I gave him mine and he enjoyed that at least. Tables were dirty and we had to make two tours of the dining area to find a table that was the least dirty. Dining room looks like a storage with the amount of boxes blocking multiple tables. One table was being held up by 8th pans. Gentleman's restroom was in poor condition and extremely filthy. Never in my life have I skipped on using soap because the soap appears foul. I have nothing but negative observations to speak of about this establishment. Terrible service, filthy, unreasonably priced, and disassociated crew and management. I ask the community to petition the removal of this restaurant and replace it with something beneficial to the consumers.

If I could give half a star, I would. This place is just horrible. This was my first time here and they had no cornbread and had no carbonation in the fountain drinks. There was a child of one of the employees sleeping in a booth and hair products out on another as if they were doing hair in the restaurant. The young staff member was very nice and trying to help when I told him about the fountain drinks. He stated they have been out for awhile and even asked the manager if he could give us some of the sprite they been using from a 2 liter. I sadly will never return to this restaurant. I had high hopes and it was quickly turned into a nightmare.

Subway is a casual fast-food chain that offers customizable sandwiches and salads, catering to health-conscious individuals. This Subway location has received high praise for its exceptional service and efficiency. The staff, consisting of two gentlemen, consistently maintains a friendly and speedy approach towards customer satisfaction. Patrons are particularly impressed with the overall experience provided by this particular Subway branch. Customers appreciate the attention to detail in preparing their sandwiches and salads, as well as the variety of fresh ingredients available.
We were served and helped by Mr. Manish. He was patient and worked with us for 3 veggie sandwiches. The bread was fresh and the veggie patty tasted good. The store was clean and had two playing kiosks. The store also offers popcorns, pizza, drinks and chips.

I Ordered the promotional $5 nachos with steak. When I picked up my order there was no smile or happiness to the cashier helping me or owner. There was barely any meat or toppings and what appeared to be 10 total chips if that you could easily slide the spread out chips and toppings and see it was enough to fill half of the container it came in. There is also a promotion right now for 6.99 any footlong. Their store is not participating. If you are a Subway shouldn't your customers be able to use the Subway coupons. Why are they not? I couldn't even order the footlong I wanted to with the discount. It's always empty and poorly run in that Subway. Maybe it's time they make it something else with sunny ppl willing to be positive and not skimping on their customers. Very sad day in Subway history for me today. Ughhhh

Subway is a popular casual dining spot where you can create your own sandwiches and salads, catering to those who prioritize health-conscious choices. Many visitors appreciate the fresh ingredients and the option to customize their meals, like having green bell peppers toasted with onions for an added crunch. Overall, Subway offers a delightful experience for anyone looking to enjoy a personalized meal on-the-go!

I told her never heard of it because I been to different locations of subway and they never question but always ask what I I want on my sandwich.

This subway has recently invented a new policy where you cannot modify toppings that you get on your sandwiches. Literally no other subway has this. See photo to see what I'm talking about, this is not an official sign and they typed it up themselves.

Placed two large dinner orders because app has limits, working in the area. Food was average at best. Some of the sandwiches were so light on meat it was ridiculous. Worst part was the service. Guy Working tonight was not helpful or friendly. Had a bad attitude. Didn't even get help bringing it to my vehicle. Most other places will do that or at least offer. Expect better service when spend over $200 on average food. Never will be back. Wouldn't recommend unless no other options.

Money grabbers. I ordered sandwiches and while paying for my order I provided a coupon. I was told by cashier Jesus that I couldn't use the coupon. I asked why and he said because "we don't take them anymore and it's been this way for a while". I said that is not true because I used a coupon at the same location a week and a half prior. He said "well I don't know why they let you". He said, "my manager said we couldn't take them anymore". I said where is your signage that says coupons cannot be used. He said a customer ripped it down. I said interesting, well why didn't you all put up another sign. He then shrugged his shoulders. I further explained that their advertisements and coupons are what draws the attention of customers and I wouldn't have ordered what I ordered if I knew you couldn't use coupons. I would have preferred to go to another Subway or restaurant who were more appreciative of their customers. Any Subway who does not participate in accepting coupons have signage posted before ordering. Jesus attitude was very nonchalant and rude. He completely lied to me as well as I used a coupon at the location with another worker. On a brighter note, the employee who made the sandwiches was a sweet guy and customer friendly. Jesus helped the worker make my sandwiches after they wetr toasted and he was rude then as well. He was abrupt, gave one word responses and lacked personality. I will never visit this location again.

It was the worst experience of my life! Being Vegetarian and highly sensitive to allergies. This establishment mixes everything.. it was scary..if someone is allergic to things they would definitely get allergic reaction. She took cheese that was on top of a meat, and reput back right back in the container after it was already on the sandwich with stuff in it... I told the lady that it's food and you should be hygenic.. and careful with allergies.. you cant mix things like this...she yelled at me and told me that's 'how she does it'. Big reg flag.. Her name is ELIZABETH, and she claims to be the owner. Extremely rude, unapologetic, unprofessional and unhindered. She did this in front of me, I am scared to think what she is doing when someone is not watching 😐😬

Nestled in a convenient strip mall, Best Panda Chinese Restaurant is a charming eatery that specializes in traditional Chinese cuisine, perfect for those craving authentic flavors. Whether you choose to dine-in or opt for takeout and delivery, this cozy spot offers a delightful array of dishes. Guests rave about the Mongolian beef and the comforting egg drop soup, which boasts a rich flavor without being overly salty. The portions are generous, making it an ideal choice for lunch or dinner.
This is a takeout-only spot, as all the tables and chairs have been removed. That said, I really enjoyed the food. You can tell it was prepared with care, and the quality exceeded my expectations, especially given some of the mixed reviews. The ingredients were fresh, and the food was served piping hot, which made for a great meal.

Food was tasty, not over salty and Mongolian beef dish sause was just right. Portions was perfect for lunch. Lady owner server helped us quickly. Place looked clean without any usual Chinese mimic decorations. Didnt care to judge outdated decor... 5 stars for mom\pop local category.

Yesterday i’m riding in Gurnee and see this restaurant , I was craving Chinese food. But baby when I tell you this place is horrible it is. Right now there is no dining in and I see why. I order combination fried rice nasty, egg rolls had so much grease just nasty. The pot stickers was the only thing that was ok. Honestly I want my money back I threw everything away.

Pot stickers were good. Fried rice was meh. Sweet and sour chicken was very sub-par - it was over-breaded and lacked any taste, save for the sauce which seemed low quality (not spoiled, but neither sweet nor sour, kind of undefinable as it could have been almost any red sauce). Take out only at this time (late May 2023).

During my recent visit on a bustling Saturday afternoon, I was greeted by a friendly server who managed the crowd with grace despite being solo. The new feature allowing table-side ordering added convenience to the experience.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Alberto at Buffalo Wild Wings is hands-down the best bartender! His warm welcome, attentive service, and knack for making every visit feel special keep me coming back. Came here after my graduation with my family a bit ago and the the host was very rude. He gave my aunt attitude and seemed mad that we had a party of 7. We waited to be seated and then asked my cousin how many of us was it again, we said 7 but then got mad and asked us how many kids, we said no kids and he went to sit us down but only gave us 6 menus which I can understand was a mistake. The way he treated us was very unprofessional and I don't believe he should be the one greeting guest cause he was in fact not welcoming. On the other note, our server was so sweet and nice, she made sure we had everything and came up to us every couple of minutes to see if we needed anything else. She was an amazing server and wish her nothing but the best.

Was neglected the entire 2 hours of being there. The tables who sat after us got their drinks and food way before us and were checked on multiple times by our server Tiffany. After an hour and 20 minutes of not getting our food and our server not communicating or checking in with us as to where our food was at, we flagged her down to see how much longer our food would be. As soon as she checked she came back with our food. My fries were hard and my guess is that the food was ready and sitting in the window for a good amount of time. We asked for to go boxes so we could leave and for a manager to explain our frustration. The manager Luis looked like he didn’t care at all about what happened to us and didn’t apologize. Just said “let me see what I can do.” After complaining to him I told him I’m sorry for the fuss but my boyfriend and I are servers as well and know what good service entails of. Regardless of how busy the restaurant was, Tiffany walked past us multiple times and didn’t check in with us even though we had no food on our table for over an hour. Yet she was able to check on the bigger parties that sat after us numerous times. We could have been such an easy table to take care of! We were just a two top. Had she just checked in with us and communicated with us during our time there this could have all been avoided. Instead we were left hanging for 2 hours. Luis dropped off our barely discounted check and said “accidents happen.” What accident was there? That made me even more upset. No apology or accountability for not knowing how to manage a restaurant or wanting to improve the guest experience. I can’t get my 2 hours of time wasted here back but I want my money back.

I’ve used their Take-Out/Delivery service multiple times and I’ve had so many consistently poor experiences with it that I had to leave a review. It takes about 15 minutes just for an employee to come help you at the desk even if the place is empty, and then another 15-20 to get your order after that. All-in-all you’re pretty much guaranteed to wait 30 minutes after your scheduled pick up time to get your food. Also, sometimes your order will be ready to go sitting behind the desk in the back for some reason rather than out on the take-out shelves for pick up which would speed things along for everyone. Please please please be more accurate with how you guys schedule pick up times for orders. Too often orders not ready when they’re supposed to be, even if the place is dead slow inside.

We had a great visit on Sat afternoon. Our server was really great and friendly. Only downside was she seemed to be by herself and it was kind of busy. They do have a new feature where you can order right at the table so that seemed like a nice alternative. I tried the new triple bacon burger and it was actually really delicious. The new honey sirrachia wings were great also. The food came out a little slow, but overall we had a pretty great experience.

I placed a to go order and the server and manager were very nice. However when I asked if the Boneless wings were breaded my server said no. As it wasvThurday Boneless wings are on Sale. After about Fifty minutes waiting in house I was told they were short a cook. When dinner came I checked it all before leaving and the little tiny boneless breaded wings looked horrible. So I declined them and was offered none in. I get home to my family and both my husband and son said worst dinner ever. The coleslaw was terrible no flavor. Tater tots were not even good. I would never dine in or out again here. Too bad. I tried to surprise my family as I thought the guys would love it. We all said it was very bad.

I don’t recommend people coming to this restaurant, my reasoning for this is because they charge for orders that were never ordered. Then when asked about it, employees are not helpful nor take into consideration to discuss about the issue in a proper manner. Terrible customer service and of are of no help unfortunately. To begin with the server who attended me named Alexander and I went to celebrate my friends birthday. Went in the restaurant and only wanted to pay for my partner, the birthday guy and me. But was later on charged me for an order of ultimate nachos that I never purchased. When I called the next day to ask about why I was charged that and asked to speak with the server who helped me that day which is Alexander he began to laugh and said he wouldn’t help me. (I understand that in this workplace you can’t remember people and are busy, although what I fail to understand is to have the simple curtesy of being polite about it. Then asked what I wanted to do about it and decided we weren’t getting anywhere and asked for the manager. I said I apologized I didn’t pay attention to the receipt the day of and that I know people can lie about these situations for refunds. But asked for them to look into the cameras and get proof and the manager said yes that she would look into it when she could. Asked for more details about the day and gave them to her and said she would give a call back soon. Till this day no response back. No call. And I regret tipping for the attitude given to me when I asked nicely and instead be mocked at. I don’t mind paying for what I ordered, however if I would like not to pay for what I never ordered in the first place. (Whoever picked up kept saying no one in that place was named that and I had to ask multiple times for him because I knew he did and later on passed me the phone to him after mutilple attempts of lying.)

5+5+5🌟 Very good location. As of this month August 2023, It seems it's under new management and ownership. Light years different from the way it was. The food actually looks like it does on the menu, lol! 🍔👌The burgers are not overdone, the chicken sandwich is not dry, you can refill your own drinks, the bathrooms are clean, the ceiling tiles don't look like the roof caved in, the floors were clean, the windows were clean, and the tables were clean! I have to give this location a huge thumbs up.👍

I visited this Burger King location twice recently for a Croissan'wich breakfast sandwich where I asked for modifications. My orders were correct. However, both times, my sandwich was microwaved to the point the bread was stuck to the wrapping paper and much too hot to touch or eat right away. The hash browns were fairly fresh.

This restaurant gave us the best impossible whopper we’ve ever had, and the young man (Owen) that served us was outgoing and had a real positive attitude. Normally I don’t expect a fast food visit to be warm and welcoming, but Owen made us feel right at home. I hope he gets recognized as being a great employee. I am a manager, and I do my own hiring. I’d hire him in a heartbeat.

Usually stop here after a day at Great America. Sometime things are great, other times not so much. Sometimes the food is fine other times not so much. Last time we were there the fries we got were mangled. Like they were thawed out and someone grabbed them and smooshed them before dropping them in the fryer. At the end of the day still a better value than anything you would buy in the theme park.

Rarely ever have a problem with this location, but today was a textbook scenario where if you don't dbl check your order at the window, then you've no one to blame but yourself. Had to ask for my drink and the desert. The guy was nice and everything was sitting there ready, he just didn't give it to me. Benefit of the doubt, maybe understaffed and overworked. But just some advice, always take an extra minute or two to check your order. The cars behind you can wait. In the end, the straw was the only thing I left without.

The place is clean and on a great location (near Six Flags) but the service was horrible! The cashier took forever to get our order and was in a terrible mood. They need to improve customer service

Burger King delivered a classic fast food experience. Whopper was juicy, fries crispy. Drive-thru line moved quickly. Restaurant was clean, but service could be a bit friendlier. Overall, a solid choice for a quick bite. Satisfying cravings. 🍔🍟🥤

Chinese restaurant
Japan Cafe-China Kitchen is a great spot to enjoy delicious sushi rolls. The rice is perfectly cooked with vinegar, making each bite enjoyable. It's also an excellent choice for celebrating special occasions, as the venue and service contribute to a superb evening. The friendly waitstaff and tasty cuisine make it a place worth returning to for future events.
We couldn’t decide what to eat, because we were not that hungry after ice cream. So we ordered 2 6-piece rolls at this place. I was worried about quality of the fish( we paid $5,99 for the order), and how would taste the rice, I hate when it’s hard to chew. The guy said that rice is cooked with vinegar, and that’s the right way to do it. So, we decided to give a shot. Surprisingly, the sushi were really good! I enjoyed it every piece of it!

so i was here like an hour ago with my 2 friends and we got the combo meal for $8 from the start the food looked okay but we were hungry so we decided to get it. from the first few bites the rice and noodles were flavorless and the teriyaki chicken wasn’t tasting too good either. immediately after we finished me and my friend went to the bathroom and puked out brains out. super gross. didn’t even eat the entire plate because it was just horrible. also the mountain dew tasted like yellow sprite like what? don’t eat here unless you wanna be talked about by little girls in the bathroom hearing you puke.:)

Came here for dinner. Food looked like it had been sitting out all day under heating lamps. It looked dried out, aged and spoiled. I was craving fried rice and how bad can you screw up fried rice, right? Wrong. It tasted worst than it looked. Had to give up after a few bites and go somewhere else. I usually don't write reviews but I'm very concerned that this place might make someone sick.

Omg!!! Worst place ever. If I could give them a negative star OH I WOULD! Customer service sucks! They kept rushing us to order. We got the 4 combo, two entrees and two sides for $8. We wantes the shrimp and they explained it in a very hard to understand way. So we just decided to get it and it turns out they charge $5 extra for 5 shrimp!!!! Never ever going here again. Not to mentiom the boss was yelling at the employee for not getting my drink correct.

My friends loved Japan Cafe. However, China Kitchen is awful. The chow mein tasted like it was cooked in dirty socks, and the orange chicken tasted more like barbecue sauce. It’s extremely overpriced for such terrible food.
Victoria P — Google review
tasted absolutely horrible and me and my 2 friends puked in the mall bathroom immediately after eating the teriyaki chicken. wasted 10 dollars on my meal that didn’t even stay in my stomach. DO NOT EAT THERE.

DO NOT BUY WORST FOOD EVER! I RECIEVED A FULL CUP OR ICE SO THEY COULD GIVE ME LESS DRINK! They gave me little rice and they failed to impress me. Service was bad and it's supper overpriced! 14$ for garbage Chinese food!
Noah A — Google review
Went and was standing by cashier to get a drink. Manager gave me attitude and said get in line. I ask if I needed to get in line to get only a drink he gave me a big YES with attitude. I walked away never will visit this place just by the attitude I was given. NEVER GIVE CUSTOMER ATTITUDE THEY ARE BUYING FROM YOU.
