Art museum
The John Michael Kohler Arts Center in Sheboygan, Wisconsin offers a variety of multimedia visual art exhibits as well as performances and educational opportunities. The museum showcases four different main exhibits created by various artists. One of the highlights of the center are the creatively designed bathrooms covered in art. This kid-friendly facility is a must-visit for anyone looking to experience something unique and different within the art world. Additionally, admission is free making it an affordable option for all visitors.
I recently visited the John Michael Kohler.Arts Center at 608 New York Ave, in Sheboygan, WI. I planned a trip here and was not disappointed at all. The museum is a no cost self guided adventure. The exhibits tended to be a little toilet and bathroom related but blended in so well with the many other items they had on display. The building and the area is beautiful and well worth another visit.

Its a cute little art museum. My character, Lost Princess, really enjoyed the mini houses that were perfect size for her. She even found a castle.
K ! — Google review
Nice gallery with a nice kids studio, gift shop, and cafe. No wait to enter on a Saturday morning, free admission. 7 galleries plus themed bathrooms occupied us for around 30 minutes. While some of the art is more stereotypical, "meme-like" modern art, a lot of it is very cool. Will return if I'm in the area again. Would recommend.
Brady S — Google review
Visited for the first time today. Moved to Sheboygan about 2 years ago and have been thinking about seeing. Glad I finally took the time. Art is subjective, so I didn't like everything, but it was great to see all the creativity and read about the artists. There are 3 floors of beautifully laid out exhibits. Make sure you visit them all. And don't miss the bathrooms! So cool, and each one has it's own unique design. We also had lunch at the cafe and ate outside in a beautiful garden with an amazing looking "gratitude" fountain. I had a bowl of the soup of the day (Creamy potato) and my friend had Red Curry Coconut Hummus that came with fresh carrots, celery and cucumber slices. I'm not a fan of Hummus, but this was delicious. So if you're on the fence about visiting a "boring" art museum, just go. I promise you won't be disappointed. AND... it's FREE! What a beautiful way to spend the day.
Nanci S — Google review
I’m not sure I can adequately say just how much I love this art museum! I’ve grown up less than 2 hours away and I’m just surprised this is such a hidden amazing secret! First of all it’s free. Second they had an interactive exhibit where we were tossed into a great art project and third, just a world class museum. Small sure but it made for a perfect day of getting the museum, preserve and design center done! Just loved it. Kudos to the current artist in residence. She was amazing and fun and helpful!
Chriss C — Google review
A really good collection of local and international contemporary and contemporary folk art. Very interesting. Occasionally awkward lighting
Michael H — Google review
Nice experience! Nice exhibit to visit and it’s free so you can go wrong! Highly recommend!
Anna W — Google review
This place is so cool! It’s FREE because of grants they have been able to obtain. The art is very meaningful and the gift shop is amazing (great place to shop for a gift even if you do not go see the art). They have a studio where you can do art and a cafe.

Gardens
Bookworm Gardens is a whimsical botanical garden in Sheboygan that draws inspiration from popular children's books. Open seasonally from May to October, the garden features over 70 themed sections, each based on a different book and offering various fun and educational activities for kids of all ages. The park is designed to be trash-free and picnic-friendly, making it an ideal spot for family outings. Additionally, Bookworm Gardens hosts field trips, camp programs, and family festivals throughout the year.
Great place to take your family and spend a few hours walking the paths through the curated sections. The sections are mostly based on children’s stories, books, and fairy tales. You can tell a lot of time and care went into bringing these stories to life and providing an experience that feels special for the family. The walking path has good signage and directions, there are bathrooms, and it’s quiet. The cost was $12 for adults and free for kids under 2 years old. I highly recommend if you’re trying to find something new (a change from your neighborhood park or swimming pool) and want to have a fun experience with your family!
Scott — Google review
This is a beautiful garden, which has been designed based on different popular book themes. There are paved scenic ways which take you to different stops, where the books are kept for kids to stop, and read. There are multiple restrooms all along the garden, and plenty of free parking is available next to the garden, and across the street. Entry tickets are priced at $12 for adults, and $10 for kids aged 3-17. Kids under 2 are allowed free entry. Sheboygan county residents too have free entry, if the tickets are purchased in advance.
Karan A — Google review
Both toddlers and moms were just amazed by this fantastic place! So many fun, recognizable and interactive installations, and an overall beautiful garden. The picknick area just outside was an extra bonus that had a good balance between seating area and activities to get both some food and some fun in between bites
Anna L — Google review
Super cute place. Especially for kids. The trails are easy to navigate and most everything is made to be interacted with. I went with just my husband and adult daughter and we enjoyed it, I definitely will be back with my grandkids

What a gem! This was a beautiful, tucked away find for us today. Absolutely stunning gardens, and the books incorporated at every turn were so much fun! Perfect for kids, families, and adults who love nature and books. Will definitely return.

Would give this 10 stars if I could! Had so much fun for hours with my preschool aged son. The attention to detail is really impeccable. So well kept, plenty of space, and clean bathrooms.

Don't go on a Tuesday! Should have checked out the hours before we went. Closed on Monday and Tuesday. But we went into the little picnic area that I think they use for school groups. Really cute. Hopefully we can visit again soon...on a day that they are actually open.

Visited with my sister in law and kids ages 2 and 4. We all had a magical time and highly recommend. Will absolutely be back and plan to get the books we haven't yet read out of the library prior to visiting next time so the kids can hunt for additional familiar friends.

Nestled in the picturesque Taylor Park, the Sheboygan County Museum invites visitors to embark on a captivating journey through time. This community gem is dedicated to preserving and showcasing the rich cultural tapestry of Sheboygan County. Spanning across five historic buildings, including the charming 1864 Weinhold Family Homestead and the rustic 1890's Schuchardt Barn, each structure tells its own story while housing an impressive collection of over 35,000 artifacts.
It was a very positive experience! Our 3 year old Grand daughter Loved all the Christmas displays. There were activities for the kids, model Trains running on tracks and little Garten Toy Tractors and bikes to ride. Santa Claus was also on hand to hear you Christmas wishes. Not to mention Bruce the Spruce talking to you as you entered the building. A bit scary for the little ones, but he made them feel Welcome. Love the Pranges store window displays.

A must top for the Christmas season. Lots of vintage animatronic decorations. The Taylor house is also decorated period appropriate.

What a gem! Well worth the visit, and we learned so many interesting things about Sheboygan and the surrounding area. (Who knew circuses were such a big deal?! lol) Highly recommend a visit to this museum!

Harry’s Prohibition Bistro is a charming 1920s-style eatery located on the Sheboygan riverfront, offering stunning views and a delightful riverfront patio. The bistro specializes in authentic wood-fired Neapolitan pizza cooked in a traditional oven, complemented by an array of Italian dishes and casual wines from various regions. Guests can also savor craft beers and handcrafted cocktails while enjoying daily specials and decadent desserts.
Situated right on the water, this place offers great experience. While we didn't have the chance to sample their pizza this time, it's definitely on our list for the next visit. The drinks were expertly crafted and the service was impeccable. Highly recommend!"

I would give it 6 stars if I could. Very friendly staff, great location on the river, amazing food, timely service and fantastic atmosphere. Highly recommend!
Dave G — Google review
From the very beginning of our stay at Harry’s my party and I were impressed by the kind, quick service, fun atmosphere, and great background music. Our waitress was attentive and personable. I wish I could remember her name. She was helpful with the little ones, and knew to ask one of the moms of the party if she should remove the basil leaf from their pasta before presenting it to the kids. It was a small gesture, but showcases the caliber of thoughtful service you’ll receive from this restaurant. And the food. My goodness. This was the best pizza I have ever had. I had the Walnut. Others in my party had several other varieties of pizza and pasta. We were all so impressed by the food. Thank you, Harry’s, for the great dining experience! I can’t recommend this place enough!
Ben K — Google review
Tucked away on the harbor's edge near Lake Michigan, Harry's captures the essence of authentic Italian dining with a waterfront twist. The dim, ambient lighting creates an intimate, romantic atmosphere—perfect for date nights. Their woodfire pizzas bring you to Italy, charred to perfection in a blazing oven that infuses every crust with smoky, authentic flavor. What elevates the experience is the bartender, (the name escapes me, but his charisma doesn't). Knowledgeable about wines and cocktails, he crafts them with flair. Friendly without being overbearing.
Crystal — Google review
Great pizza and fast service. We arrived during a busy Saturday evening, 9 people, no reservation. We were promptly seated and served without any issue. The pizzas were great. I added some veggies to mine -- perfect for my tastes. We would rate the pizza better than the pasta dishes.
Paul M — Google review
WOW! We loved our dinner at Harry’s 🙌🏼 We were sat immediately, and our server was extremely kind and attentive. We both ordered pizza - I got the Truffle and my fiancé ordered the Beef Marsala. Honestly some of the best wood fired pizza we’ve had. We also got a bottle of moscato which was delicious. We’re looking forward to our next visit!
Marissa M — Google review
A fantastic and quaint bistro. Classic Italian pasta that was perfectly cooked. The classic.meatball was juicy, the bolognese had a zip with a rich.and.meaty sauce.

3 Sheeps Brewing Company, located in Sheboygan, is the city's sole packaging brewery and has been crafting a diverse range of craft beers and ales since 2012. The brewery offers up to 20 beers on tap, growler fills, and bottled or canned beer for takeout. Visitors can enjoy beer tastings in the modern family- and pet-friendly taproom, which also features entertainment options and a retail shop selling beer-related merchandise.
Whether you are sipping your favorite brew at the 3 Sheeps tap room or swinging in to grab a pack to enjoy at home, 3 Sheeps is a top notch brewery. With a wide array of beverages from dark, rich stouts to crisp pilsners and hard seltzers to house-brewed soft drinks, 3 Sheeps has something for everybody-- and they do it well! I love how each visit is a "choose your own adventure" and the knowledgeable servers can walk you through each brews nuances and flavor profile. I also have never seen such an abundance of cool merch in a brewery! Shirts, hats, signs, pet gear, beer soap (!?), stickers... the list truly does go on. Swing in if you're in Sheboygan - this is a must-do local stop. (Pets & kids welcome!)
Hannah T — Google review
We went to Three Sheeps for a bridal shower and enjoyed the space. It’s clearly a community highlight — there’s no picture but outside was hopping with yard games, volleyball, and kids playing. Inside it was a little loud with the music, and the area reserved for the party wasn’t super private, but overall it’s a hip and trendy space. We got the root beer and the orange cream soda because neither of us drink much. We enjoyed them — but the 6 pack of each saves a ton of money versus buying them individually. We ended up buying a six pack for a family get together that weekend and the orange cream went over well. They weren’t the best sodas we had had but they were tasty!
Nathan W — Google review
Great beers, Friendly staff and tons of Merch. If you love brewery beer it is a must see. A very large seating area and outdoor area.
Craig H — Google review
I think my kids love this place more than my wife and I do. 12/10 would recommend. No notes
Christopher H — Google review
Great beer. It's been pretty busy every time I have stopped so it's not super easy or fast to get a beer or flight. Bartenders don't really have time to talk about the beers as they do at other breweries. Perhaps they need more staff or I just need to stop by at more of an off time. Nice selection of cool merch.
M D — Google review
First visit to 3 Sheeps on Curd Day, very busy but still felt like staff was courteous and personable. Will look forward to going back. It's a very relaxed atmosphere and attractive taproom & store. Oh yeah, 3 Sheeps beverages are wrong the best!
Mark C — Google review
Great local brewery. Large indoor seating area with a small arcade but also lots of options outside (yard games, open space) make it ideal for kids to run around. Wide range of beverages so just about anybody can find something they like, even if they aren't a huge beer connoisseur. Would recommend checking out to anybody heading to Sheboygan.

Sheboygan Indian Mound Park is a 15-acre park that was established in 1966. The park features prehistoric Native American burial mounds, which can be viewed along an interpretive trail that winds through the area. Visitors can learn about the history of the mounds and the plants in the park through educational plaques located throughout the grounds.
Peaceful little park with lots of informative and respectful signs. Urban location - right in the middle of a quiet neighborhood, there are preserved and protected mounds. Maps were available. There is a nature trail that goes down to a nearby creek. Feels very secluded, but still safe. There's a boardwalk that's older but still usable. Loved it.
Stephanie W — Google review
Nice place to get a little nature hike and learn some Native American history while you're at it. The trails were maintained well in most of the areas where the mounds are. A couple spots had a narrow path and were overgrown on the sides where brushing your legs against the foliage on the sides. I would recommend pants vs shorts. Well-shaded. I was disappointed to find the nature trail was closed in a couple places near the wetland boundary so we couldn't walk more. It's nice that the mounds are being preserved.
Jeremey W — Google review
Happy this area was preserved. Full of spring flowers. However I think it would be better to visit in fall/winter to better see the mounds which were hard to pick out among all the plants of various heights.
Susan L — Google review
From an historic standpoint, an interesting place and a nice place for bird watching. Trails not very well maintained and one closed due to mud..no attempt at a boardwalk. Trees across trails elsewhere.
Gregg P — Google review
Very relaxing. However, smdisappointed that did not see the statues that many have written about. Also, the lower area was closed off but no reason why? Anyone know? Would go to sit and walk again. Very Peaceful.

I had a hard time finding this Park and better road signs would help me. I really enjoyed seeing the burial mounds. I wish the Park was better maintained.

The Sheboygan Breakwater Lighthouse, located at the end of North Pier, offers a picturesque setting for fishing and chartering boats. While visitors can't enter the classic breakwater lighthouse, the walk out provides stunning views of the surrounding water. The lighthouse is particularly enchanting during warm summer nights at sunset or on beautiful days for family walks from Harbor Center Marina parking lot. However, it's important to check weather and wave reports before visiting due to potentially high waves.
A bit of a walk but it was good. Do not recommend going out on a windy day, the waves will go over the walkway and could push you into the lake. Interesting to see the lighthouse. You can't go inside the lighthouse.
Francine K — Google review
Sheboygan Breakwater Lighthouse – A Stunning Sight in Any Weather Even from the warmth of our car on a cold, blustery day, the Sheboygan Breakwater Lighthouse was a mesmerizing sight. We watched as powerful waves crashed against the breakwater, sending sprays of water into the air, making for a dramatic and beautiful scene. The lighthouse stands resilient against the elements, a classic symbol of Lake Michigan’s ever-changing moods. While we didn’t brave the walk out in the wind, it was still well worth the visit—sometimes, the best views are enjoyed from a cozy seat with the heater on!
Jeremiah — Google review
My sister and I had lots of fun here. The walk to the light house was amazing and the weather was beautiful! A must see and experience place. A nice way to get out and enjoy life!
Syeda A — Google review
The long walk to the lighthouse is worth it especially on a sunny and not too breezy day. The lighthouse itself is larger than expected once you finally reach it. You get great views of the shoreline from the lighthouse, seeing the towers and church steeples of Sheboygan peaking out over the tree line. The first section of the causeway is fairly uneven ground so be careful
Nash H — Google review
The lighthouse in Sheboygan is a great walk on a beautiful day! Pictures are perfect at sunset towards the city and breathtaking during the sunrise. It's a great family walk from the Harbor Center Marina parking lot and you can also visit the Deland park beach. Make sure to watch the weather and wave report you won't want to go out during high waves.
Jamie M — Google review
Nice day out with smaller waves so it was safe to go out. Beautiful views but can be a bit chilly with the wind! Several fisherman doing their thing, saw one catch!
Josh — Google review
Fun park- fun walk way out to the lighthouse- unfortunately lots of graffiti is on the lighthouse- need some TLC but …..it’s a lighthouse!!
Allen S — Google review
Very cool place to see. A neat walk out to the lighthouse, though very windy and loud, and make sure to watch your step. The water on either side was different colors, as was the water on the back side of the lighthouse, which was weird. Worth walking out to at least once in your life. If you're in the area, make sure to check it out!

South Pier Parlor is a fantastic ice cream spot with a great atmosphere and delicious treats. It's a classic experience, perfect for families and very kid-friendly. The parlor is well-kept, clean, and has a fun atmosphere both inside and outside. The staff is friendly, patient, and attentive even during busy times. They offer Cedar Crest ice cream which is highly praised for its taste.
Beachside Sweet Spot Adorable coffee, ice cream, and dessert shop near the beach! Specialty Flavors: Unique coffee, ice cream, and refreshing drinks. Ambience: Cozy and inviting. Staff:Super friendly. Perfect spot to relax and indulge in sweet treats by the ocean!

Amazingly, this place is so cute that you sort of wish the line wouldn't move as fast as it does! The staff are clearly scooping professionals who are able to simultaneously give samples, answer questions and assemble whatever choices people make quickly and well. There are so many things to look at in this place, beginning with the little running train around the top of the shop to interesting candy choices; but the star attraction are the many choices of ice cream and sherbet. There is something for everyone from the chocolate lover to the caramel craver to the fruit fanatic. No wonder this place draws as many locals as tourists!

I had a double dip of Strawberry and Mint Chocolate Chip. Big chunks of strawberries and a lot of large pieces of chocolate. Very friendly staff and a nice location right across the street from The Blue Harbor Resort.

Delicious ice cream nachos! Lots of fun flavors of ice cream to choose from. The parlor felt very nostalgic and smelled so good! My daughter loved the little train that ran around by the ceiling. Very fun and a great atmosphere!

Museums
Located in downtown Sheboygan, the Above & Beyond Children's Museum is a three-story interactive museum that offers 10,000 square feet of engaging exhibits and programs designed to stimulate children's imagination and learning through play. With unique spaces such as the mystical glow room, a tree house, a fire education area featuring part of a retired fire truck, and the Port of Sheboygan where kids can navigate a boat, there are endless opportunities for exploration.
Such a wonderful and accommodating space to take my toddler! They have multiple floors with different play/explore options. My son loves the top floor with the fire truck, fishing ship, and farmers market. They also have a calming corner upstairs with sensory items where overstimulated children may go and wind down (it has a door for privacy when in use 😊). If it is too busy for your younger toddlers they also have a farm area that is gated off from the older children. It has a family bathroom and a private nursing/changing room with a glider.

Was a great time for all of our 5 kiddos ages from almost 10 down to 6 months. We stayed for almost 3 hours and each kid had a blast. Definitely worth it.

Such a great time. Stopped in for a visit and wanted to stay all day!! Great for kids of all ages ! The staff was so welcoming. Thank you.

This museum is definitely geared towards young kids. There are 3 floors but not really a whole lot to do. My 7 year old was not impressed. It was also VERY loud and busy. If your kid is sensitive to loud noises I would avoid at busier times.
Heather P — Google review
Great when reserved for parties, apparently doesn't get stale year after year with how they shift things around often. Only complaint is that all the tubes are child sized because I would have gotten stuck had I gone back where I used to go. I wish there was an adult version, I loved it when I was 10. It's still pretty good years later.

A fun and interactive museum for kids 6 and below. I feel like any older, they'll be bored. Our 4-year-old could have spent the whole day there!! She loved all the different activity areas from the dark room to the kitchen to the farm house. There were at least 3 floors of different activities. I appreciate how every inch of the walls and ceiling were covered with something-- animals to outer space. Everything was clean and well-maintained. I would station a staff or 2 at some "high risk" areas. Some children were climbing on things that could result in falls, and no one was around to monitor them. I think parents should be free or half price or something. There's nothing for us parents to do🙂 The playground outside was awesome!! 😔 They ran out of coffee. Would have loved some.
Lillie L — Google review
The place is hands down awesome, my favorite children's museum in Wisconsin! For me personally, it's more fun than the one in Baraboo, Sun Prairie or even Madison. Wow, I was impressed with the opportunity to climb 3 flights of stairs, watch the puppet show, "fish" right off the deck, and there's so much natural light on the 3rd floor!

The Weather Center Cafe is a charming dockside cafe located on the Sheboygan Riverfront, housed in a renovated fish shanty with nautical decor. The cafe offers a climate-themed menu and is known for its bakery items made in-house daily. Visitors can enjoy coffee drinks, breakfast, light fare, and sweets while taking advantage of free WiFi. With its comfortable and rustic atmosphere, it's the perfect spot to observe passing charter boats and kayakers on the riverfront boardwalk.
LOVE this coffee shop! My wife and I come about once a week because the atmosphere is so great for writing our substacks. It's located right by the river and is also a great place to stop either before or after a nice walk along it. For food and drink, the veggie quiche is delicious and the perfect amount to share a light snack between two people - or to have it all by yourself. The espresso brownies are a great option too, and for drinks, I usually get an Aztec mochas or a chai latte - which are both great options. The staff there is very friendly and, if you keep coming back, they'll be sure to get to know you over time. Would highly recommend checking it out!

Prices are a little up there but soooooo worth it. This was one of my favorite coffee shops in town by far. I highly recommend the chai cookies and chicken curry wrap. Everything is super healthy and tasty.

I had a hazelnut triple shot iced coffee with oat milk and it was very good! The gentlemen who were working were very friendly and polite - I can appreciate that! My friend loved her vegetarian dessert selections immensely - especially the coconut macaroon. The vegan desserts were sold out (a good thing). Cute place on the river in a marina. Plenty of space to sit outside. I'll be back! Pros: Coffee was very good., Had vegan food options (4 or more), Workers were nice and I dug the ambiance.

Nice coffee shop/cafe with some interesting food offerings. We enjoyed a sandwich and coffee on the boardwalk overlooking the river. The sandwiches were tasty and made fresh to order, and the coffees well crafted. Worth a stop if you're strolling by.

Truly mediocre, food and drink. They scald the milk in their lattes, and consistently pull poor shots of espresso.
Michael M — Google review
The coffee and smoothies here are fantastic, tried the Strawberry Mango Smoothie and the Rob Machado; both of which I highly recommend. The breakfast bagel sandwich with ham is my go-to, bakery items are also very good. There is indoor and outdoor seating.
Ethan S — Google review
Decent little cafe with limited menu for breakfast, coffee, self-service for water, flatware, etc. Rather slow service, but comfortable, rustic, homey place. The vegetable quiche,I was told, had red peppers, onions, and olives. When it came, there were lots more in it, including spinach and broccoli. I never thought of olives as vegetables.... Beautiful muffins I'm told were delicious.

I LOVE THIS CAFE !! the space is amazing and inviting, i love the welcoming atmosphere as well as the whole aesthetic of the place. TONS of various seating options and the customer service was very friendly and efficient. the menu has a great variety and is decently priced, with lots of great vegan options (that actually tasted amazing!!). I enjoyed a Busy Beaver latte and a bagel with avocado that was amazingly soft and delicious. Overall a great spot to study, hang out with friends, or just pass through for a bite or a drink. 10/10 experience in every regard.

I was visiting a friend in the area and was looking for a place to get breakfast. I'm so happy we found Paradigm! I loved the vibe and the decor. I had an Iced Chai and the Betty Burrito. It was really good. My friend ordered a Mocha and the Bagel Sandwich. We also shared a chocolate donut. Yum! They make fresh cinnamon rolls on Saturdays and donuts on Sundays. The staff was friendly. If I lived closer, I'd be there all the time.

My husband and I really enjoyed this place. He had the Egg Over a Hotcake (but substituted tempeh tofu for the egg), and I had the Willikers, which is a tofu sandwich on ciabatta with a pesto mayo and greens. Did not get pics of either, bc we snarfed them down pretty quickly. We then ordered coffee and rhubarb coffee cake (pictured), which was pretty fab. We also loved the chill vibe (music & decor). We will be back! Came back again, and this time we DID get pics

One of the best coffee shops I’ve been to — anywhere! The atmosphere is fantastic: quirky, fun, bright, lively. Great coffees of all types, and the muffins and lunches were excellent. I had the Breakfast Betty wrap and it was delicious and a very generous size. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend!
James V — Google review
I really was impressed with the look of this place not to mention the vegan options! The open air concept, plants and wood decor is something I absolutely love. The food and drink is ordered from the counter - you will find a menu right by the case that is filled with incredible vegan pastries and desserts. I had a lemon cardamom cookie, a rhubarb and strawberry muffin, The TLT (tempeh BLT) and their breakfast bagel (you choose your bagel flavor). The food was delicious! My friend was impressed by her breakfast burrito and the cinnamon rolls she got. Also, she had some delectable corn chips that seemed homemade. Our drinks were nice, too. We will definitely be returning! Cons: Almost all the tables were dirty.
None O — Google review
We came here to grab coffee to go and ended up also ordering a couple of breakfast sandwiches. What we liked: The atmosphere; it was nice and open with plenty of seating inside and out. Seems like a great place to come with friends or bring a book and relax solo for a while. The breakfast sandwiches, overall good. A little more on the greasy side than I prefer, but flavor was on point. What we didn’t like: First and foremost, what we came for, the coffee. My husband and I both ordered different latte options. We agreed that neither was very good. The maple latte lacked maple… zero hint of maple anywhere in there. The busy beaver latte tasted more bitter than anything and there was perhaps a hint of cardamom there, though not much. Disappointing, because both sounded delicious when reading the menu! Second, the gentleman taking our order at the front. He was perfectly pleasant at first, but, this being our first time coming to Paradigm and having zero knowledge of the place prior to actually walking through the door, we did not realize it was a purely vegetarian establishment. I asked if there were any meat options included for the breakfast bagel and when I asked this question, the gentleman‘s face and attitude completely turned sour out of nowhere and he responded with a bit of an attitude and an annoyed stare “We don’t have meat.” Okay…I’m sorry. I didn’t realize. It was very offputting. Taking that kind of attitude with customers, especially new ones, is a great way to ensure that you don’t get repeat business. Overall, I would give this place another try in the future. I really did like the vibe, but I’d stay clear of the coffee drinks and go for tea instead. Oh… and I certainly wouldn’t want to offend anybody by asking about meat…LOL.

Doesn't meet what I want out of a coffee shop. Coffee is pretty sub par. The atmosphere is grungy, but the type where everything is super dirty. Staff are friendly though. Not my place, but I know others like it. The quality of the coffee though is what gets the 2 stars. Doesn't feel there is much attention to dosing, grind, extraction, and temperature.

The site showcases remnants of the three-masted Great Lakes schooner that sank during a storm in 1894. This allows visitors to immerse themselves in the tales of courageous sailors and mysteries of the sea.

I loved being able to engage with the salvage. I've never seen anything like it. My one hope is the markers describing what we're looking at get cleaned up. They are weathered to the point that most were illegible.
CE B — Google review
I would say it would be a five star however you can’t read any of the signs anymore . I truly want to learn about the shipwreck. If the signs are too expensive to re make then a QR code could be provided that brings you to all the info. Anywho it was so cool yet sad to walk through the wreck.

Very unique and just a quick walk from the marina after fishing. Some of the plaques were hard to read. A spot that does not takes a lot of time and can walk through very easily. It is also a quick walk to the beach by the marina. Just a fun town to be in and makes it seem like the coast off the ocean and not Wisconsin.

This is interesting to see, and nice, in some ways, that it is outdoors where people can visit easily as part of an overall walking excursion to see the harbor, but it is deteriorating from the wind exposure, and it is hard to read the signs that document the history of the ship.

The park features nautical-themed playgrounds on the sand, volleyball courts, and a long pier with a lighthouse at the end. Visitors can enjoy stunning views of the nearby lighthouse and explore the wreckage of the Lottie Cooper schooner that sank off the harbor in 1894.
Really amazing. Great for walking on a sunny day. Nice and clean atmosphere. Huge parking space available. And there’s a marina too. Separate parking for marina. People were flyover kites and some were walking with their kids and dogs. Nice for a day out with family and friends. We walked all the way till the lighthouse. It’s a great walk and the pier is well maintained and clean. Really beautiful and relaxing experience and a must visit place when in this area. Thanks. Photos by me.

Deland Park is a true gem along the Lake Michigan shoreline in Sheboygan. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this park offers something for everyone. The views of the lake are absolutely stunning, especially at sunrise or sunset, and the clean, sandy beach is perfect for relaxing, swimming, or walking along the shore. One of the highlights is the marina and boardwalk area, where you can watch boats come and go or enjoy a peaceful stroll. There’s also a fantastic playground for kids, ample picnic space, and plenty of walking and biking trails that connect to other parts of the city. The park is well-maintained, with clean restrooms and convenient parking. In summer, it becomes a lively hub with food trucks, kayakers, and even music events nearby. It’s also close to the Sheboygan Lighthouse and Blue Harbor Resort, making it easy to combine with other attractions. If you’re looking for a relaxing and scenic spot to enjoy the outdoors, Deland Park is a must-visit.

Nice place to be, especially with a family! Places to sit, places to play, some history, a few steps from a beach, and lots more to offer. It's a great balance of "touristy" but not a tourist trap. Biking, walking, swimming, playing, you name it, you can do it here. And it's quiet enough and open enough to do it without feeling crowded. It definitely checks the boxes for a place to relax and enjoy a day however you choose to enjoy it!

Scenic? It sits on a street corner in Sheboygan, not near the lake. Which is awesome! Great fish fry on Friday, great crowd, nice beer tenders who actually interact with you. Had the combo plate of Walleye, Perch and Shrimp, while my wife had just the Walleye. The breading was light and the shrimp was the best fried shrimp I ever had. The Belching Beaver Beer (no lie) was a great Black Ale, though they called it a stout. It was light and very drinkable. Loved this place.

First time visit & boy did we pick the right spot for Friday Fish Fry in Sheboygan! There’s a reason this place is voted the best three years in a row. Great menu and fish fry options: fresh caught perch, blue Gill, pike or beer buttered Cod (EXCELLENT!) platters with a slice of Marble rye, potato, homemade coleslaw or applesauce. The place was packed, but great service and a quick turnover with tables. We didn’t feel rushed at all. Marilee our waitress was awesome! The manager also stopped by to see how everything was and recommended a few other places to check in the area. Great spot, excellent fish fry and service! Don’t forget to take a homemade Torte home for dessert! I got the butterfinger one 🤤

Art museum
The Art Preserve of the John Michael Kohler Arts Center is a unique three-story facility that houses immersive artist-built environments. These environments, coined by the museum as total works of art, were taken from their original locations and preserved in the museum. The preserve offers a different experience compared to traditional art collections, allowing visitors to experience artists' studios, workshops, and art collections exactly as they were. The displays are accompanied by written information and old-time movies for an engaging and thought-provoking visit.
I recently visited the Art Preserve at 3636 Lower Falls Rd, in Sheboygan, WI. I guess you start off before you actually enter the building. I loved the exterior of the front of the building and the wilderness feeling it creates. In addition, there are several sculptures around the parking lot. Walking in, you are quickly greeted and you are given some direction on what is offered on this no cost self guided folk art museum. A great facility.
Greg K — Google review
Amazing experience as a wheelchair user and with disabled family. Every path and area was well layed out to accommodate wheelchairs. One of the exhibits had an option to walk up to it as well so had a ramp for chairs so no one missed out. It's also a generally very quiet building which offered a much needed sensory break. You can't bring food or water inside for the safety of the art and I did not know this. A worker offered to keep my water bottle at the front desk so we didn't have to go back to the car to drop it off which was VERY helpful. 💜 Also a thank you to that worker for not judging my Dad's joke. My Dad has a TBI and sometimes misses societal boundaries but the worker didn't judge. The multi stall bathrooms are not chair accessible but I imagine that the single person family restrooms are. The elevator is MASSIVE and has a few chairs in it to watch a presentation on a TV screen in it. There are places with darker lighting in them that preserve the art but also offered me a place to rest my eyes as they strain easily in bright light. The entrance is also very accessible and I felt so seen and thought about. Even the choice of solid polished floors for an easier time pushing my chair without getting stuck on other types of flooring was amazing. It was an all around great experience and my family and I will be going to the other art building sometime soon to experience more. We will also likely revisit this building. 💜💜💜

Visited here after touring the John Michael Kohler Art Center on New York Ave in Sheboygan. My first impression was that it seemed "peaceful" walking from the parking lot past butterfly and bee friendly bushes and into a magnificent wooden entrance. The museum was a lot smaller than the Art Center, but still interesting. I love how the exhibits were put together with a screen for viewing details about the art and artist, and the additional videos throughout the museum. One exhibit even had an old television set from a restored house playing artist information. Pretty cool. Worth the visit, and like the art center, admission is free

The Art Preserve is a must stop if you are visiting the Sheboygan area. I stopped in Saturday with my boys, and both of them love art. There are many collections to look at on three different floors. Don't forget to check out the bathrooms on the first and third floors. They are super cool.

A lovely experience. A nice free museum to cool down on a hot day. They had a really well done kids activity booklet that followed the art. Their modern forest entrance really set the stage. We enjoyed the third floor bathrooms, definitely worth a visit.

I’m not sure any review of this museum could do it justice. The artwork may come from the fringes but it’s fascinating and the presentations are unique and world class. Visitors can enjoy a variety of delicious drinks and food options, including creamy dairy-free lattes made with high-quality oat milk. The friendly staff provides warm service, making it an inviting place for both solo diners and groups.
What a delightful coffee shop right on the Sheboygan River! I hadn’t been downtown in years, and wow, has it changed. This gem was a perfect find after the other nearby coffee shop closed. The decor captures the Lake Michigan shoreline vibe perfectly, with both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor tables have live propane-fired glass fireplaces, so even with a slight chill, we stayed cozy while enjoying the cool Lake Michigan breeze. We caught a beautiful early morning sunrise, and despite the forecast predicting heat, the temperature was refreshingly cool. Ample parking, a terrific staff, and a great selection of pastries—clearly displayed and reasonably priced—made it even better. They serve coffee in traditional cups, accept cash or credit, and the atmosphere is so welcoming we stayed for two hours just catching up, sipping delicious coffee, and watching boats glide by. No one rushed us out, which was awesome. Overall, a fantastic visit, and we can’t wait to return!

Eb Flo Coffeehouse serves one of the best breakfasts in town! I stopped by for a morning bite and was seriously impressed. The breakfast sandwich was fresh, flavorful, and made with quality ingredients — you can taste the difference. Pairing it with their perfectly brewed coffee made it even better. The vibe is relaxed and inviting, and the staff was super friendly and attentive. It’s now my go-to spot for breakfast and coffee. Highly recommend starting your day here!

One of the cutest coffee shops I’ve been too! It was all decorated for Fall, and the location is perfect. We got an iced chai latte, caramel macchiato, and avocado toast. Went on a Saturday and it was pretty busy but we were still able to find a spot to sit. I love how they have an outdoor patio with fireplaces too. Cute spot to stop if you’re in the area.

This is how my everything bagel looked, obviously I took bite but it looks plain and I asked for it to be toasted, pretty sure it was microwaved. I asked for a Carmel macchiato with an additional shot of expresso and whip cream. If im paying 8 dollars for a coffee it needs to be filled up I asked them to redo it and this time they made it with no whip.....I understand they were busy but I waited 10mins to order and then 17mins for my food. This place is the reason why I will not tip at the register when ordering my food!!!

The James Tellen Woodland Sculpture Garden, managed by the John Michael Kohler Arts Center, is a hidden gem located in Wilson, just south of Sheboygan. The garden features over 30 unique concrete sculptures created by artist James Tellen, many with religious themes. Visitors can stroll through the peaceful wooded property and admire the aged yet creative sculptures along the trail covered with yellow leaves. This serene garden offers a real-life artist environment and is free to visit seven days a week.
This was an absolute fantastic day. This location is very unique. And a great place to take the family, while I would exploring the lakeshore. This location has a pretty decent sized parking lot and good walking trails along with historic buildings, ample signage and lots of statues. While the park does not charge, it's probably a good idea to bring some donation money for the box. Visiting this place in fall would be absolutely awesome with all the hard woods and colors of the leaves. There's also more walking trails beyond the property, which are really neat,

An intriguing amusement near the State Parks that is worth a visit. It's interesting to note that the age of the sculptures is significant. Beyond the sculpture garden there is a wooded path along a brook which makes for a nice walk and place to sit and ponder life. Please be aware that it's recommended to wear something blaze or bright while on the trails during bow hunting season.
Teresa B — Google review
The sculptures themselves are a little old, disheveled, and lacking in awe. Most of them look like they were made out of a sandcastle like material minus 2 beautiful statues of St Paul and Abe Lincoln that look like they were actually carved out of stone. The best part about this area, besides being free, is the stunning view next to it. There's a walking trail that goes out from the sculpture garden that if you go in the right season is an absolutely beautiful walk. If it were not for the walking trail the sculpture garden would be rated lower, but I'm glad it's here.

Meh. Some cool history and a neat little hideaway, but I was disappointed after so much hype in other reviews. The driveway/parking was easy to miss. Don't go out of your way to visit, but cool stop if you're nearby already and like artistic works.

No tickets necessary for this adventure. Bring a picnic & friends plus the kiddos too. Easy to walk & maybe also wheel chair accessable. We got some inspiration & good ideas for our grotto garden. If J.T. could create this then so can we. Especially enjoy the water feature/ tiny stream. Very simple-- effective! The forest setting Is plesent, quiet, serene. No other folks are here on Thursday 10-16-25 Thanks for showing this & saving it.

Unique sculpture garden in a beautiful rustic area not too far off the beaten path. I enjoyed coming here and found the sculptures to be intriguing. The path was short, but clean and very walkable. Overall, this free find, was worth the stop if you like artistic things.

Vollrath Park, located on the shores of Lake Michigan, offers a variety of recreational activities for visitors. The park features amenities such as a playground, tennis courts, and a sledding 'bowl,' making it an ideal destination for families. Additionally, the park boasts a disc golf course that provides an enjoyable experience for players of all skill levels. Visitors can explore the picturesque landscape and enjoy quality time with their loved ones in this beautiful setting.
So many activities to do at this park, sledding, basketball, pickleball, tennis, 18 hole disc golf course, playground, picnic tables, summertime food trucks. On a recent walk through Vollrath Park I enjoyed nature's art. Two trees caught my attention that morning their root system spoke to me reminding me how trees relay on other trees when struggling as humans do too while I often forget to reach of help. The lake comforts me too that day the trees have hugs. I am grateful for all the beautiful parks in the City of Sheboygan. Thank you

Disc golf course is not what it use to be... 6 holes now missing. Down to 12 holes. Also, in need of some good clean up. The overgrowth is out of hand.

I love how they keep this park clean. It is a great quite place for a nap in the sun, play some disc golf, plus let the kids play. Also amazing in the winter if we ever get snow these hills are great for anything fun!
Daniel D — Google review
One of the OG Wisconsin courses from back in the Frisbee days (late '70s I believe). Mostly short holes with lots of ace runs (only a few over 300'). Uses the Vollrath Bowl elevation pretty well to create some fun holes. Beginner friendly. Unfortunately, they altered the design. The old hole 12 was a tweener hole and nothing special, but 13 was a longer hole playing parallel to Lake Michigan that brought water into play. It offered great views and a spot to pause your round. 14 was a short challenger going uphill about 60 degrees to a basket on a treacherous green. The replacement holes pale in comparison.
Aaron W — Google review
Disc golf review. This is a fun course to play. It has to be if I am going to drive over an hour out of my way to play. The signage is in ok shape but everything is marked. You can't get lost here. There are awesome stairs and paths leading down through the valley that splits the course. Some holes are right on top of each other so beware of your surroundings. I usually play early morning so it has never been busy. With a few exceptions, the holes are not long and many have technical shots depending on pin placements. There are no pro pads which is fine by me and there are some holes with alternate pin placements. Some holes have the luxury of Lake Michigan as a backdrop and one hole running along the shore line. Sadly, from experience, I suggest having a expendable disc in your bag for that hole, just incase. Great course for all levels and there is a pro shop on site, though the hours are not the greatest for my early morning rounds. There are surprisingly clean bathrooms on site as well assuming they aren't locked. It takes roughly 60-90 minutes a round for 1-4 people.
Michael G — Google review
After the storms that blew down some trees a couple years ago and all the construction around the area they finally have all the holes back in action making it one of the best disc golf courses around for casuals like myself. If you're a serious player I'm sure this is probably a beginners course for you but I appreciate the amatuer setup of the holes, most the holes are pretty short and elevation changes in some of the holes and the overall layout makes for some fun times.
Brad — Google review
This park is AWESOME. Great for the community of Sheboygan. First of all, I find this park AWESOME because it has a FREE disc golf course called the shack. It's fun, and may I remind you again, FREE! The course is both a mix of challenging, fun, and exciting. They also have a practice area, so you can just practice throwing your disc. Also, the park has a playground, with lots of fun equipment, and it even has a basketball court, pickelball court, and a large sledding "Bowl," which can be used any time, but in the winter, it is extra fun, as it is great for sledding!!!

22Dominion of Terror

4.2

Haunted house
The Dominion of Terror is a haunted house operated by the Sheboygan Jaycees, known for its commitment to scaring visitors and the community. Housed in a historic building, it's rumored to have its own real ghosts based on workers' personal experiences. Visitors praise the detailed rooms and commend the dedication of volunteers who run the attraction. The escape room is particularly popular, although some suggest improvements in ticketing processes for online sales and entry lines.
As you approach the site the location starts to become quite obvious as there is a full warehouse wall size projection promoting the attraction. I parked on the street, but they did have a dedicated lot which I wandered through as I finished my contraband (in Wisconsin). During this time I got a good chance to snap a couple pictures and watch the full production on the wall. I was talking with one of the volunteers who worked on it, and when she found out who I was (actor, producer, non-profit advisor, etc) she asked me what I thought about the production values of the video. I said, "It must have been A LOT of work because that is HUGE and pretty high definition." I'm not 100%, but it seems like that was a new addition for this year and I can only imagine, based on the rest of the production, that we only saw a glimpse of what this crew is capable of this year. I entered the attraction grounds, and this is where my ONLY complaint of the night arises. I went to the main entrance to the attraction where I was quite rudely sent back to where I was supposed to go for a pre-purchased ticket. Now, I only point out the quite rudely because it was clearly NOT in character. I sniped back quickly, "Whoa, someone needs to chill out or find a character..." and just went on my way before she could respond. I found the pre-purchased ticket window and had a great conversation with the cat at the desk. I then worked my way back to the main entrance of the haunted warehouse. I paid for the Fastpass, and I would say it was still worth it even on the second to last night of production. When you first enter the warehouse the queue line continues through what appears to be a large section of the first floor. I proceeded to the Fastpass gate. After a short wait, as I arrived during break time, I was let into the warehouse as my own group. Now I don't mind this, but when I'm solo in a haunted house I'm not there to be scared. I mean, if you can pull it off, awesome, but other than a small jump scare from behind it's never happened. Dominion of Terror is a warehouse that utilizes all 3 floors for a journey that takes you through MANY different atmospheres from typical indoor home scenes, to camping scenes, other random outdoor locales, a graveyard, a pub, a medical examiners office, etc. The transitions work out very smoothly and there is a solid mix of characters both consistently in your face and those trying to be sneaky for the scare. I will admit there were a couple times I was surprised that someone in a chair was or wasn't a live actor. I'm not going to comment too much on the specifics of the content of the house, except to say that the people involved in this project CARE. Everyone in the house was there for the passion of it and it shows. They also did pretty good dealing with a 7' top hated dude laughing in their faces and occasionally trying to bump them out of character. Credit due to everyone who didn't slip, and still credit to the one guy who did. As I said the warehouse utilized all three floors and you transitioned seamlessly from scene to scene, but I can't say it was always straight forward. There is definitely a maze aspect to the house, and admittedly, it didn't get me until the end, but it definitely got me. The group behind me caught up as I sort of floated from closet door to closet door around in circles missing the hidden exit behind a mirror (hey, that contraband combined with some edibles made the house VERY fun). I kept with the last group basically for the last area. I spent some cash at the merch table before I left. I will be back, and I hope after you read this book you're interested in checking it out too. There may be more professional attractions, with proper financial backing, in the Midwest, but you're going to be hardpressed to find a project with this kind of quality combined with this kind of heart. Kudos to the Sheboygan Jaycees. Smokin' Santa rates this 5 Pipes - Ho-Ho-Holy Sh*t was that cool.

I went today October 26, got there at 6:40, went in at around 8, that’s not a complaint, that’s pretty fast however, when we went in some workers went behind my group which I thought was strange, later we went into a room and saw another group, then as we walked through we got another one and then another one, we were all pretty cramped up and it slowed things down very bad, the more we walked the more we got stuck in a literal line of people walking through, this made the experience boring and very tedious, I found myself just standing talking to my girlfriend as we waited, it got to a point where we could just have a full normal conversation like we were walking through the street because there was so many people that we were just constantly in a line walking through with everyone talking, at the last room, we literally ran into at least 15 or 20 people waiting to leave, then when we left and saw that final guy, it was like a million times less scary because of everyone walking, other than that I did think the room ideas were good, there was some that I really loved like every room with flashing lights and the very artistic cool ones with projectors with lights, but yeah, very busy and boring because of it, and by the way, I forgot to mention but I do believe the workers went behind us because they were trying to check how busy it was inside, and another addition is, my mom and some other members of my family went around 2 weeks ago and they had the same issues with running into a lot of people, this always happens but is never this bad, I love dominion of terror and I’ve been coming here for maybe 5 years straight now, and they can do a better job, also this thing at the line was cool
Punpun O — Google review
Went earlier in October line was very reasonable. (Not sure how people who go peek weekend can complain). Definitely a one of a kind experience one of the few haunted houses I would go back to every year. One of my biggest pet peeves at a haunted house is groups merging together as you go through. This didn’t happen at all here they do an AMAZING job of making sure groups don’t bump into each other throughout the haunt. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

I took my children to the matinee. They enjoyed it so much! Everyone there was very nice and friendly. It was also pretty neat to see The Dominion of Terror during the day with the lights on. You could see all of the hard work it took to create such a fun experience. The admission price was only $5.00 per child, which I thought was very reasonable these days. We had a fun afternoon together, and none of us will forget it.

My daughters and I went on Throwback weekend, even though the 2hr wait sucked ( definitely will get the fast pass, next year)...but the house was amazing, actors were great, decor was awesome, and didn't run into any other groups...recommend highly, we had a blast!
Michelle G — Google review
This house was cool. But it could have been a little better. I wanna help them get better by saying what i see worked and what needs some work. Some of the haunters really felt like they were new or just were in it for the paycheck. They just didn't really try. Now there was some that really tried and that was awesome. A lot of the rooms are like most typical houses. The 2 that stood out as really cool was the cemetery room and that looked so cool. But my all time favorite was the circle room. You will go in circles there if you don't pay attention. That was very genius. So bravo to you whomever designed that room! The mirror room was cool. Never seen that done before. But the other 2 I said were better but that room was a cool mention. It was pretty short for a house. It was enjoyable but wish it was a bit longer. Some of the areas you have to really duck to get through and that's a pain for those who have bad backs. So maybe raise those a little bit? Wait time? Not really. Fast pass made us go in right away. So for $10 it could be worth it if the line was long. The line was getting there when we got there right before open. So with the pass, we were the 4th group to go in. But we would go again if we are ever up that way again. Hope nothing but success for this house and it gets bigger and scarier in the future!

I stopped in for a quick adult beverage while in town for some meetings. I ordered a beer but found out their internet was down and they could only take cash. I had no bills on me but the gentleman a few seats over offered to buy me the beer. Well that beer turned into four and i made a great new friend. The bar tender was incredibly kind and very nice as well as my new buddy Jeff. This town is amazing, and this bar was the best. Ty for all the kindness. I'll will absolutely be back to repay the warmth.

We popped in for a quick cocktail (around the holidays) and had to listen to all 4 staff members complain the entire time we were there. Expensive watered down drinks, food options were terrible, the owner was picking fights with the bartender. ***edited to add when we were there. I am sad about the below response from the owner. Step into the Victorian Chocolate Shoppe in Sheboygan and be transported back to a bygone era of old-time candy stores. The air is filled with the irresistible aroma of chocolate, all made in small batches to ensure top quality. With over 80 varieties of hand-dipped, homemade chocolates available, including year-round favorites like chocolate-covered raspberries, this charming shop offers a nostalgic dessert experience. Visitors can expect great customer service and an array of both handmade chocolates and packaged treats at reasonable prices.
Quick story: When I first moved to Sheboygan in Fall of 2020, I was just starting to see this guy I liked and he wanted me to meet his parents. I hoped to make a good impression and looked for local shops where I could purchase a gift. I went to the Victorian Chocolate Shoppe and purchased the prettiest big box of assorted truffles they had. At the time of posting this comment, I have been married to my husband for 3 years and have a wonderful relationship with my in-laws. I think it's safe to say that the chocolate went over well! 😉😁 I continue to enjoy many treats from this shop including the chocolate covered almonds, dark chocolate fall leaves, and mini peanut butter cups. Scrumptious!

Nice shop, decent selection. A little chaotic at the counter (probably just went on a busy day). Prices were on par for boutique chocolate shops. I am a dark chocolate fanatic. I did not ask what percentage their dark chocolate treats are, but it felt like eating a dark hershey's bar that was too milky to be considered dark chocolate? A lot of dark chocolate I buy has no milk, milk was in the ingredients list. I just personally did not enjoy the dark chocolate treat I tried. Overall, I think good selection, good prices. If you aren't picky about your chocolate, its fine.

Great selection of candies, both handmade chocolates and packaged treats. Most items decently priced, a few packaged items I thought were a bit high. The chocolates are fantastic! We picked out a bunch of candies to try, everything we've tried so far has been very good. Will definitely stop by again. Great customer service, it did take a little while to be served but only because at the time we were there, there was one very sweet lady working. She was awesome.

I’ve stopped here a couple of times, and any time downtown Sheboygan comes up, I can’t recommend stopping by enough. The first time I visited, we happened to walk up right at closing time. Instead of turning us away, they waved us, and another family, in with smiles staying open to help us. Another time, the husband (it’s run by the friendliest husband-and-wife duo, who doesn’t love a mom and pop shop?) offered us a free sample and struck up a conversation. When I brought my mom, she was reminded of visiting the general store as a kid, where she’d pick out penny candy. These days it’s closer to five cents, but how many places even let you shop candy by the piece anymore? I’m almost 30, and every time I step inside, I still get that same “kid in a candy shop” feeling.

Whether you’re an expert thrower or trying it out for the first time, the welcoming staff is on hand to help you get started and ensure your visit is filled with fun.
I hosted a 20-person team building event and had an excellent time! We were able to easily divide up into smaller teams but still hang out as a larger group. We had some that had never done axe throwing before and some that have, but that didn't make a difference, everyone still had a nice time. Niki was great to work with and was extremely helpful and flexible. Would definitely do it again!

All in all it was a decent experience. The staff was really friendly. The axe throwing was fun. I was just thrown off by the fact that they didn’t have any “normal guy” things to drink. Just fancy CBD infused cocktails and beers I’ve never heard off. We would have ordered more and stayed longer if they had domestic beers and some bar food. I won’t go back because of that that.
David — Google review
Great experience, we will be back. Was with 6 first time throwers and all were able to fully participate and had a great time. An hour long experience is about all you'll need unless you have a larger group. We had 7 people on 2 lanes. Nice drink selection as well!

WordHaven BookHouse, LLC is a charming bookstore located in the heart of Downtown Sheboygan. It offers a wide range of new and used books, as well as postcards, writing classes, and bookmarks. The cozy space provides a perfect setting to get lost in a story. The friendly owner is known for providing great recommendations and creating a welcoming atmosphere. Additionally, the bookstore hosts various events throughout the month, making it an integral part of the community.
Discovered WordHaven while on vacation and I would be in so much trouble if I lived in the area because I would be here much more frequently than my bank account would like. This shop has one of the best curated selections of new books I’ve ever seen in an indie bookstore, plus a fun assortment of used books in the basement. The person who rang up my items was friendly and helpful, plus the day I was in they had a violinist playing live music, which was lovely. Seems like a great part of the local community and I will definitely be back if I’m in the area.

Absolutely stunning views of Lake michigan. I could stand there and stare at it for hours. Not crowded, not littered. The best sun rises I've ever seen.

Such a pretty and peaceful place ! Nice trails besides the lake. Many benches to quietly sit on them and just take in the pleasant lake breeze. Feels nice to spend some leisure time with nature.

A little roadside pullout. In the summer you might appreciate the cool breeze and view of Lake Michigan. The site recognizes the Dutch heritage of the region and also has a memorial to a tragic highway accident.

If you're looking for a delightful spot where little ones can play and parents can unwind, Mini Mocha Play Cafe in Sheboygan is the perfect destination. This charming cafe offers a safe and engaging environment for infants and toddlers to socialize while adults enjoy their favorite brews. The owners are not only friendly but also incredibly helpful, ensuring that every visit is enjoyable. The space itself is impeccably clean and thoughtfully designed, making it an ideal place for families to spend quality time together.
We hosted my sons first birthday party at mini mocha play cafe and it was an amazing time! Super affordable venue with optional add ons that are also in a great price range compared to other venues we looked into. We supplied all our own decorations (the cafe supplied our brown table cloths and splat mat for under the high chair) Stefanie was extremely helpful with setup and cleanup, they had delicious specialty drinks and a very clean facility. The play space has many open pretend play/Montessori options for kids under 12 and there was even a large gated pen with soft mats appropriate for babies and younger toddlers. It wasn’t too big or to small, perfect size venue for Little’s that are on the run so you can keep eyes on them. Worth every penny definitely plan to host here again.
Grace K — Google review
We absolutely love this place! It’s the perfect combination of fun for kids and relaxation for adults. Our daughter has the best time every time we visit — the play area is clean, safe, and full of engaging activities that keep her entertained for hours. Meanwhile, we get to enjoy a great cup of coffee in a cozy, welcoming space. The staff is friendly and attentive, and you can tell they genuinely care about creating a great experience for families. Highly recommend to any parents looking for a stress-free outing where everyone leaves happy!
Jason — Google review
Great place for kids 0-6 free wifi and drip coffee/tea for the adults. Small area but that works to your advantage as they are easier to watch and more likely to socialize with the other children. They have specialty coffee drinks available and snacks for the kids like easy mac that will eat. If you have kids at that age spend a day here.
Dustin L — Google review
This is a tremendously fun spot for children. I originally took my daughter to the children's museum in town which was a big letdown in terms of exhibits and activities. We went walking and found this location which is infinitely more fun. The owner was very pleasant and very attentive. 10/10 experience

We have been to play quite a few times and always had the best time! Recently had my little guys birthday party here and it was phenomenal! All of the kids had such fun, and the owner was flexible and accommodating. I would also describe her as informative, helpful, and kind. Couldn’t imagine a better place to have a kiddos party! Reasonably priced as well. Can’t say enough good things about this cute play cafe!

We drove through the park for the Christmas lights. Great viewing and variety! It has become a tradition. We have not been there in the summer, perhaps in the new year. It's a beautiful park.

In June 2024, this is where I met my girlfriend. I was killing time and just sitting on the bench on the north side of the river, looking out at the water, and she rolls up in her wheelchair huffing and puffing on her way home from the Y. And we just made small talk and talked for about an hour before getting each other's numbers. It's really a beautiful place, and I'm reminded of that day every time we take a walk together!

Sheboygan Kite Beach, located at the southernmost end of South Beach, is a popular spot for kiteboarders who gather here, especially on weekends. The unique shape and wind patterns of this mile-long beach make it an ideal setup for kiteboarding, making Sheboygan known as one of the best places in Wisconsin to enjoy this thrilling sport. While the beach is clean and offers a great location for family time, visitors should note that there are no nearby restrooms or shade.
Great place to kite on a South wind. Thermals make it ridable even when predictions call for SW wind. If it is sunny and a South wind, it will be ridable no matter what the forecasts say. Can be good on a north as well. Large grass area to set up and lots of beach to walk or setup on. Large public Park with bathrooms, picnic area, playground and rental party room just south or kiting area

Great place to take the kids for some fun on a rainy day. There are a decent amount of arcades, and the prizes are not terrible the amount of tickets required. Good family fun!
Paul F — Google review
We generally love this place and have returned a few times. In our most recent stay, the staff was not as friendly as they have been in the past. The life guards were really particular about measuring my 3 year old son every time he went down the same slide. He was tall enough, but that didn't stop them from harassing him each time he attempted the same slide. The kid running the towel stand didn't want to fold towels so he was handing out whatever came out of the dryer. Just unprofessional.

We had a great experience at the waterpark as guests of the Blue Harbor Resort. 6 and 8yr old had lots of fun. The wait time on the slides varied but was not bad. The lifeguards were very attentive. Towels were readily available - and can be switched for dry ones at any point. Cafe had a decent selection. Looking forward to returning!
Donna Y — Google review
This place has gone down the gutters. They nickle and dime for everything. They put a wristband on my daughter and it slipped right off so I asked to trade it for a new one. They said and I quote "oh we can't swap it because it'll be effect our profits for the day" Are you kidding me?! It costed my daughter and myself $95!!! Just to get in for the day. And a 20 cent plastic wristband is going to make them go broke? On top of that the two giant slides aren't operating right now. Yet they still charge full price and make a stink about one wristband. Ya screw this place. Spend your money somewhere a bit more professional, better kept up and kinder.

Kayla, one of the talented artists there, is known for her creativity and ability to transform ideas into stunning artwork. Clients rave about her friendly demeanor and professionalism, making the tattooing experience not just about getting inked but also about connecting with an artist who truly listens.
Got a tattoo with Kayla today and had the best tattooing experience EVER. They were super accommodating, friendly, and open. The studio is clean, set up very well, and decorated in a fun and funky way. I will definitely be returning, and telling others to check out this place (and the artists who work here). 15/10 ⭐️
Haley M — Google review
I've had tattoos done by Kayla and Joey at Chicory Root. They both did excellent work. The entire staff is friendly and welcoming. I love my tattoos and will be returning many times in the future. What I really want to address in this review is the accessibility of the shop. There are many businesses in town that are inaccessible or require a great deal of effort to access by people who use mobility aids or wheelchairs. While the front door has two steps to enter, there is an accessible entrance to the building. A phone number is posted in the front window for assistance. The tattoo stations are also accessible with great chairs that can be moved or positioned as needed depending on body needs or moved out of the way for wheelchairs. I had no issues navigating around inside the studio. I also want to compliment the bathroom. Bathrooms are an often overlooked area in businesses as far as accessibility. Chicory Root has one of the best bathroom setups I've encountered. There is plenty of room to maneuver a wheelchair. There are both vertical and horizontal grab-bars by the toilet. The sink is easy to reach and use. The door is also positioned so it is easy to open and get around while using a wheelchair.

Best tattoo experience I’ve ever had. The artists are friendly and professional. The environment is relaxing and clean. My tattoo artist took ideas that I had and created a piece for me in their art style that I love, I’ve gone back several times since my first tattoo at chicory root. They have also advised me against ideas and help me come up with new ones that turned out even better than what I had imagined. 100000000/10 would recommend, can’t wait to go back

Kayla is an amazing human and she runs the best damn tattoo shop! She takes her time and makes sure you’re comfortable and happy. She is an amazing artist and has gathered a group of other amazing artist friends to give the community a wonderful experience. If you haven’t stopped in to chat with the crew I encourage you to do so!
Sally C — Google review
Despite the welcoming environment they advertise online, they are incredibly rude in communications, in-person, and will selectively blow people off in an uncalled-for manner. One of my family members went in inquiring about a tattoo piece, following their rules, and still couldn't get the time of day out of anybody. I personally couldn't either. Their level of work is not worth the price -or the treatment they will give you if they decide that you don't fit in with them. We were both very polite, I want to add. Someone else I talked to after my bad experience showed evidence that she reached out within the past two months via email, instagram, by phone, and in-person, and was ignored until reaching out in-person where she was then given a run-around to get rid of her. She is perfectly kind and only a college student, I think they should be ashamed to treat only certain people with the kindness they claim to show on their socials. For those who are spiritual, the vibe is also very off. I know that I am not the only one who feels this way, despite there being only one other bad review- 6 months ago, which I consider pretty recent for how bad the tattoo looked.
Rainbow G — Google review
Cannot recommend Chicory Root Tattoo Studio highly enough. The environment is welcoming, inclusive, professional, and fun. Kayla is always a joy to work with. She is so friendly, creative, and talented, and she always manages to translate my ideas into beautiful reality. I love every piece she has done for me, and I frequently get compliments. It is a fun and positive environment, and the other amazing artists in the shop bring such a cool variety of styles to the mix. Looking forward to going back.

I had a tattoo done by Kayla a few years ago and completely forgot to write a review. Kayla did an exceptional job with my tattoo. We discussed the idea a little and I let her run with it. We visited this fabulous mansion in mid-April and had just the best time. The owners are fantastic people who want you to explore the area and get to love Sheboygan, which was easy to do: terrific Kohler Art Museum (check out the bathrooms!), great and funky riverside pub (The Duke of Devon), Lake Michigan, nifty lighthouse to walk out to, etc, etc! The mansion itself is ready for anything, from a quiet reading room, gorgeous dining room that would seat 20, it seems, lovely outside fire pit to an outstanding basement filled with anything you'd want - karaoke, cards, pool, giant tv in a separate room. All the rooms have gas fireplaces that allow you to get a fire going with no effort. This place would be great in the winter, but also really fantastic in the summer, with the beach right below you, bikes, canoes, etc. We also found an awesome consignment shop with great bargains! If you get a chance, check it out. You won't regret it!

I'm scared of dollheads and dungeons so was a bit leery at first. But after a few brats and Sheboygans, the house became a liberating mecca of hospitality and bliss. Highly recommended. ZZZ! Larry Perkins

This place was SO much fun! I took my fiancé here to celebrate his birthday and they were able to accommodate us for a same day appointment. It was so stress relieving, the owner makes you feel very comfortable, and the pictures/videos she takes are excellent. I definitely recommend coming here!

My 16 year old and I raged here this weekend. It was an awesome experience! The staff was phenomenal and super friendly. It was fun watching the kiddo take a baseball bat to a telephone and yelling, want to complain now? I don't set the prices! She works as a hostess at a restaurant. Lol! We will be back!!!
Andrea H — Google review
“Bad day at the office” package was everything we could have imagined. It felt like we got more than what we paid for because the experience was so fun. Everyone should try this at least once!

This is a GREAT place for a party and right here in Sheboygan! We just celebrated my son's 10th birthday with a few friends. The hosts were awesome and so patient with the excited boys. They all had a blast and I'm sure they will all be back soon! Thank you so much!

I purchased a smashing experience as a birthday gift for my brother. I got an excellent deal on groupon. Smashing stuff together was awesome! The staff go above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience. I loved the photos and videos they took and shared with us. If you're considering it I'd say book it now! You won't be sorry!

Fun! Fun! Fun! We let 8 teenagers go wild in the smash room and they couldn’t get enough. They were all tired and sweaty when done and all had a great time. Staff was very friendly and helpful during our party. This is a place I would highly recommend for a fun unique experience.

Do not sleep on this place !!! I have never felt so relieved in my life. I didn’t know I had so much rage until my first smash. This place really helped rage it out

We had a birthday party there today. 5 girls and they loved smashing and breaking things. The host was very helpful and gave the girls great ideas of what and how to smash things that made the party even more fun. Would recommend this place.

If you're on the hunt for unique antiques and vintage treasures, look no further than Gibson Girls in Sheboygan, WI. This charming spot is a haven for those who appreciate the allure of history through carefully curated estate finds. Visitors rave about the quality of items available, from cozy throws to distinctive collectibles. While some may find initial prices a bit steep on opening day, savvy shoppers know that waiting can lead to fantastic deals as prices drop throughout the sale.
My cat Elmo loves the mohair, Hudson's Bay Co, made in Scotland, throw blanket that I got for $10 (75 percent off, cat not included) on the last day of a Gibson Girls sale. Karen and her crew do a great job cleaning and organizing their estate sale houses. Some people say the prices are too high the first day of the sale, but if there is anything you REALLY want, buy it then because the prices decrease each day of the sale and it might not be there if you go back later. You might also get a great deal on the last day of a sale, like I did on Elmo's 'cat bed'.
James R — Google review
I shop a lot of estate sales both online and in person. I stopped going to GG sales due to the outrageous prices. I stopped yesterday 6-12 @ the last day 75% Sheboygan. There was a lot there for the last day of a 2 weekend sale. One look at the prices I knew why!!! Definitely the last time. I suggest the ladies take a look at other estate sales. There were items that were more expensive than buying it brand new. RIDICULOUS!! This grill was marked $69.00. I can buy it & have it shipped for less.
Deb V — Google review
Nice places for what the Gibson girls have and sell. Some items might be a bit too pricey, but it's decent stuff and good quality. It's definitely worth the look
Mike N — Google review
Always worth checking out the estate sales. I've scored some good stuff at low prices.

Nick was our guide. He was great! He was patient is showing us how to ride the Segway. Gave us practice time. It was a gorgeous day and he took us all over town. Stopped several times to describe something and to take our picture. It was just my husband and I. I highly recommend the tour and Nick
Sue T — Google review
We had a fun tour with Nick as our guide. He was very kind and patient training 5 of us ladies who are 55+! We got the hang of it pretty quickly and enjoyed our tour. Wish the weather had been warmer and less windy, but that seems to be the way this spring has gone so far. Beautiful scenery as we made our way along the river and lakefront. Highly recommend!

We had the best time with our guide Marcus. We were a party of four (two couples). He made sure we felt comfortable before taking off on our wheels and gave an excellent tour of Sheboygan. It’s such a pretty area and the riding along the lake will be forever memorable. He took great pictures and enjoyed his laid back personality. What a great first experience!

Very nice experience riding the scooters around the city. Had 2 tours with the owner of this company in consecutive 2 days. The guide is pretty knowledgeable about historical attractions and interesting places about the city, and he is very friendly. Overall a great experience!
Muzhi L — Google review
They canceled our tour with just a few hours notice. Offered to schedule something the next day, but the contact was not prompt with replying, especially considering the very short turnaround time. We had already made other plans by the time they got back to us. It was all very disappointing, because I really wanted to go. So I obviously can't comment on the actual tour, because there wasn't one.
