This place is just amazing! The food, the drink, the atmosphere, but above everything else for me, it was the friendliness of the owner Giorgos and the staff! We stumbled on the cafe by pure coincidence and it was the best place we visited. We ended up grabbing a coffee in the morning, a lunch around noon and some drinks in the evening watching the euro 2024 (Germany vs Scotland). I will make sure to bring a football jersey from my home town as a gift on my next visit in Crete! I strongly recommend visiting this place! 10/10

I just don’t know quite what to make of this. A relatively small open-floor shopping center with a dozen shops or so. Nothing really exclusive, nothing really local, just mostly touristy things, that some might find fancy. Guess I’m just a different kind of tourist :) Two thing’s worth mentioning: there’s a Bank of Crete ATM in the far end, and there’s 24h parking in the basement. That’s nice :)

I visited Vithos Sea’s Treasures earlier today and bought some jewelry. In the evening, I wore the jewelry and returned to the store, but was unexpectedly accused of stealing. I showed proof of the card payment from earlier, but the staff member didn’t believe me and demanded a receipt, which I no longer had with me. I understand they might have had concerns, but the way I was treated was aggressive and unprofessional. The situation could have been handled with more respect and basic customer service.

I would give it a zero but its not possible the calico cat is not angry it was the only good part this cant be called a shopping center its just about 4 or 5 shops that sells the same exact stuff as every ither tourist shop in the side of the street

thought there would be a lot more, nice what is there but the upstairs was closed, just expected a big shopping centre and more different shops than what was already on the strip but it wasn't the case.

This is a hidden gem in the town as its down an ally from the main street towards the ocean. Make sure to go here its soo much better then the other places allong the main street the staff is awessome and the athmospere is great. I had the best lamb i tried whole week and our party of 9 all took diffrent dishes and we all agreed they were the best we had out of all the restaurants we tried

We had an amazing experience at Ariadne. The food was absolutely delicious – both the dinners and the desserts were outstanding. On top of that, the view is stunning and creates such a relaxing atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food and a wonderful setting!

What an absolutely lovely place! The first time we had lunch at Ariadne we chose at random among the many similar Beach cafes. But the service stood out a mile! Very, very family friendly, my children LOVED the staff. Add the wonderful food (The best moussaka in Platanias, for sure! And they have desserts to die for...) how could We not come back, again and again? So that one meal turned into many more, it became our stop. I cannot recommend high enough.

Visited in september, and had the worst dining-experience in Crete - by far!! Do not visit this place, unless you are accompanied by a man or a large group. Females - watch your drinks and leave asap if you feel unwell or "off". Do NOT let the waitstaff sit down next to you if you are wearing a dress or similar. Stay happy, and stay safe ladies.

Tasteless dry mest. All of the food was missing taste i general. There was a lot of noise inside the restaurant, from an aircondition, so you could't hear what the other persons were saying. The waiters was very kind and happy.

Worst food I had in Platanias. I first tried to order the ribeye steak, but unfortunately the cook didn’t want to serve it since they had just received it in. The server offered us the filet instead, which we declined — but he pushed back and asked why we didn’t want the filet. Bit of a weird interaction, since if we wanted the filet we would order that, but ok. Instead, I ordered the spare ribs. What I was served was a boneless slab of gelatinous meat, absolutely drenched in barbecue sauce. I honestly have no idea what it actually was. The texture and taste were so bad I could only eat half. Worst spare ribs I’ve had in my entire life, and that includes the microwaveable ones. The location was nice and modern, and the raki was good — but the server almost forced us to drink it, pouring more into our glasses even after we said no. It’s a good place to watch the sunset and maybe grab a beer or two, but I definitely wouldn’t go there for the food.

Amazing place! The service was great, the scenery and atmosphere was amazing. The food came quickly and tasted so so good. I really cannot tell you how great the greek cousine tasted. We had stifado and moussaka. The stifado sauce was crazy good and the moussaka was great value and also tasty. For anyone looking for a great dining experience, this is the place.

This restaurant is amazing! The food was delicios with awesome taste that is hard to find. The terrace is very big, very clean, with plants down that makes it special. The waiters and owners are great people with the greek hospitality that You expect to find. For sure will come back.

We had a very nice evening today at Mythos Restaurant. The waiters were all very nice and gave good advice and insight into their menu. The food was simply delicious. Yes, some dishes may be a bit more expensive at first glance, but the portions were big and plenty. Also, the cut steak plate for two people had everything you could ask for, and if you think about splitting the price per person, it's pretty fair pricing for what you get. We left full and more than satisfied. It was perfect for a romantic evening out. Would recommend to come here at least once, if you have the chance. :)

The place looks very good, the terrace in the back is very cozy. All the staff is very friendly, they know how to treat a customer, and the food is so tasty, like a bite of Greece. I sugest eating there with all my heart!

Great food with amazing service. We got some free raki and ouzo, and a little bit of dessert on the house too. It's not located right next to the street so the mood is nice and peaceful. Strongly recommend.

The food and service were absolutely amazing, we went in the early evening when it was even quieter. Neat and clean place (wouldn't believe it's open 19 hours a day). Kids portions were big and tasty, gluten free pizza was better than usual in restaurants / frozen bases. The burger was also well made and a large portion.

One of the best restaurants in the Platanias! Service and food were both really good, and also the venue is very modern! They also have really flexible attitude, we needed some protein for the Mangosalad, and they just added some chicken in the salad! Burgers were also very delicious and portions were big!

We ate during late noon in August, so not many people ate at that time. Ordered chicken gyros, chicken Souvlaki and pork ribs. The service was kind and excellent and fast enough, and the chicken dishes were excellent. The fries was one of the best. Unfortunately, the ribs didn't meet the high standard. Great place to eat in, just don't order the ribs.

Half of our group attended to reserve a table, we have certain dietary restrictions that could not be met so decided to leave (before we ordered anything). We were at the table no longer than 2 minutes The waiter/host was very rude and told us “you can’t leave if you have already sat down” as we left he said in a very sarcastic way “very clever, good luck”, he stared at us until we were out of sight… Most of us have customer service background and were shocked at the reaction especially due to the reason being dietary restrictions??

Went here for lunch one day. Ended up having the daily dish which was a green salad and a chicken souvlaki to the price of 12€. The deal itself was nice, but looking at the prices in the menu the regular dishes was expensive. It tasted ok, but you could get better souvlakis for a cheaper price elsewhere, don’t think its worth paying full price. It’s also located underneath some trees where grasshoppers can make a lot of noise on top of the main road.

Very good chicken soup and it went well with the garlic bread as a side dish. Perfect for a light lunsj. Good service and very nice staff. The menu is big, and have a lot of options to choose from. The only reason for 4 stars at the atmosphere is my intolerance for bugs whilst sitting by the table or when eating. But the restaurant itself is clean and gives a home'y vibe

Very pleasant dinner experience here! We had the Avrofiliton salad and the chicken filet with mushroom sauce and everything was tasty and cooked nicely. The staff was extremely friendly and we felt very welcomed here. Service was fast and we got a table right away with no reservation even though it was very busy that evening. Would recommend!

A very nice resturant with good placement. We could pick table freely, as we arrived early in the evening. Not much wait time to order. Food came after 15-20min and portions was ok. The resturant was a bit hot, but we had a great meal.

I dont understand why rating is low, but during our stay here we have been in many restaurants for breakfasts lunches and dinners. This place cooks the best!!! We returned here 3 TIMES. For greek salad and whole fish. This combo was from heaven!! SERVICE??? OUT OF WORLD. People here are so nice and welcoming! Live music every Friday and Monday. Special treatment for every customer. All the treats after the meal!!! Ice creams, Rakis, Watermelons… Special shots from the staff!! I wish the manager of the place all the best! He is doing so well in making tourists to feel at home, congrats on owner with the staff!!! We got even some souvenirs from the place(broken plates)! P.S for visitors: If you want to feel the taste at max, please order local foods!!! All the juice is there

Buzzing place with great live Greek music, dancing and plate smashing! It was busy but waited about an hour for our food, which was dreadful when compared to the other traditional Greek meals we’ve enjoyed in smaller and cheaper places. Tourist trap!!

Peking duck was nice but not quite as crispy as you would want. Service was nice but quite pushy for tips. Nice vibe to the place in general with some fans to keep the heat at bay.

Value for your money. Good place, quick service and nice staff as you expect in any ideal restaurant. We were here for an early dinner and food was just awesome. We Ordered onion rings and veg spring rolls as Appetizers. Chilly veggies along with fried rice and noodles for main course. Everything was good. I would recommend this one for sure.

This place is indeed a must visit while you are here, in Crete (especially Platanias). The dishes are carefully prepared and quite fast to arrive. The head chef is an 70 year old Chinese man that prepares food like you would expect him to... Looks slow form afar, but everything he cooks come out quick, beautiful and delicious. I've seen him work. All in all, with the prices really modest, this place is worth 5 stars and definitely a visit.

Nice Asian fusion restaurant! Indoor and outdoor seating options. Big menu with lots of things to choice from including appetisers, curries and noodles. We ordered vegetarian pad Thai, chicken pad Thai, hot and sour soup and a curry. Everything was yummy with fresh ingredients! Was pretty close to authentic Asian flavours which was a nice change after eating tradition Greek food for a few weeks. service was great with our waiter being very friendly and accomodating. I highly recommend if you’re looking for something different.

This was not one of the better resturants in the area. Ok food yes but expensive for what you got. Very bland seasoning one dish had some spice to it, I'm not saying its supposed to be hot but I'd like it with more and better flavours.

Went to this place after wasting Greek food for 2 weeks straight (was craving Asian ykyk). Great Asian fusion came here with 4 people. Good seating inside and outside. We order 3 pad Thais and some soups. Food was definitely really good! Great service too.

Amazing food considering we are in crete! The food was generous and flavoursome. 4 of us had amazing serves of food with a smile. Sitting outside was a vibe with the retractable roof.

Very busy when we visited however we were able to get a table for too. Despite it being busy the service was very quick and the staff very friendly. We had ribs for starters and sezchuan beef for mains with a side of boiled rice (one portion is quite enough for two to share). The ribs and beef were superb however the rice was very stodgy and stuck together so it came out in clumps rather than grains. That said, it was an enjoyable meal and an experience I would be happy to repeat.

I had the Peking Duck since it's among my favorite foods. The duck itself was OK, but the amount of greens, hoisin sauce and pancakes didn't match the duck. I only got 5 pancakes which didn't get me halfway through the duck. And when I asked for more pancakes, because only 5 pancakes would surely be a mistake(!), I got only 5 more. And on top of that I was billed 3 EUR extra for those extra 5 pancakes. I talked to a friend which had eaten the same dish the day before, and she too had gotten an insufficient amount of pancakes. The greens should also have been more finely cut. My hoisin sauce also came without a spoon, so I had to use my fork to scrape it out. The locale got really steamy when it started to get filled up with guests. It seemed like all the fumes from the kitchen came out into the eating area. The waiter was nice and polite though. A bit noisy since it right by the busy road.

I've been with my family in crete for a week now, and during that time we visited this place 3 times i think, we would've more if it weren't for us that wanted to explore different options. The food is amazing and top tier, in my opinion. The service and hospitality is nice and friendly even talkative if you put the effort in to talking to them. There's a good variety in food options as well, overall a very good place to spend your time eating and i 100 % recommend. My family is a family of 3 me my mother and father. Take my word, try it out!

Stopped off after a walk mainly for a couple of beers. But the smell (it was a wonderful smell of grilled meats and herbs) and the look of the food made us stay for a Pita Gyro. Freshly made, tasty succulent meats, fresh crispy fries and a fluffy pita had us. Couldn't fault a thing. Best e had while we stayed in Agai Marina.

So we have eaten here thrice. We have had the pork and chicken gyros, grilled pork steak and Greek Pastitsio. All were very good. The prices are very reasonable. The wait staff are courteous and pleasant. Highly recommended!

Popped in here on the first night of our recent holiday, the place was pretty much empty but to be expected at this time of year hence the 4 stars for atmosphere, really really nice place, you can tell when you first walk in by the the furniture, tableware etc, lovely views westward towards the sunset ( which we missed 😔😔), wife had the kleftiko, and I ( because I’m a pig ) had the tomahawk steak 😁, food was absolutely spot on, tasty, hot, nicely presented and very very filling, the people who work there are so friendly and we had a good laugh with them, free raki afterwards, what’s not to like ? After having visited a different restaurant on each night of our one week stay this place is up at the top of the list, highly recommended.

Excellent location of roof terrace. Busy restaurant with a small kitchen. The service works hard and take their time to give you attention. Anything can arranged. Do take your time to eat here. This is a traditional Greek family restaurant, not a fast food restaurant. The food is well worth the wait! The menu is not too extensive. Though probably the whole menu is excellent the top choice here is the "goat with tomato sauce". As explained by the personnel the recipe comes from a mountain village. The other top choice here is the soft and creamy chocolate mousse! Just close your eyes and taste the flavours. You will want to find the smallest spoon you can find to eat it in the slowest way you can.

The most beautiful location. Sunset was gorgeous. Views of the mountains as the sun continued to set were exceptional. The service was not as quick as elsewhere, but the food was well worth the wait! It was delicious. The service was also phenomenal - thank you all for a great evening.

My wife and I came in late just an hour before closing, as we had a long day of travel. Marios got us seated and gave fantastic service for our entire stay even though we were the only ones there late into the night. Cannot give him enough praise and the food was amazing, as well!

If you want to combine a delicious meal with a breathtaking view, you have come to the right place! The room is located upstairs and you access it either by the stairs or by an elevator. And there... you discover this incredible panorama. You will be served like a king because the restaurant has only few tables. Each customer is therefore served and cared for with great attention. The cuisine is refined and sophisticated. Local products are privileged and the chef manages to sublimate them perfectly. Whether in the morning with a la carte breakfast or in the evening, the moments spent at Galazio are magical. I can only advise you to try the experience because it is unforgettable!

Although I have visited the hotel many times before, this was my first visit to Galazio Restaurant, and in particular to a wine pairing night that is ogranized weekly. We really loved it. The atmosphere, the amazing local food creations by Chef Yiannis Tsivourakis, a chef that respects the produce and the people who consume it to the maximum degree, and of course the wines pairing and fabulous commentary from the sommelier Anna Maria Kambourakis who is so passionate about what she does! What can I say!! I recommend it with no hesitation whatsoever! Whether you one is a guest at the hotel, or a visitor in Crete, or even a local don't miss it!!!

Just visit this restaurant. Every penny is worth it. The food is amongst the best we have eaten in restaurants without Michelin stars and the staff is well trained and socially skilled to the max. For example, just a brief notice that we where celebrating our 10 year anniversary as married during the booking meant that we where greated by name when arriving, placed at the best table AND celebrated with a complimentary cake and Moscato. Everything done in a sophisticated way without including everyone in the restaurant. 10/10 from us. See you again!

We came for breakfast and truly had a wonderful experience. Tonia made sure we had everything we needed, kept our glasses full, and so much food. If we had more time at Minoa Palace, we would come back every morning for the a la carte breakfast.

Came here twice, it’s a great deal in my opinion. Nice sunbeds, little floaty cushions on the pool and the pool is really nice all with a nice view and easy access to the beach. Nice chilled music sometimes progressive electronic with a dj sometimes world music influences kinda stuff not too loud. Would recommend calling or WhatsApp to reserve some sunbeds with a nice umbrella shade. There is also a good free carpark with trees for shade. We chose Burata pizza which was great and I had a berry smoothie which was nice. Service is very friendly and fairly quick for us. Sunbeds are 10 euro for 2 and then you need to buy 10 euro each on food or drink. But it’s a good deal in my opinion when sunbeds are often 20 euro or more some places. All in all highly recommend, thanks!:)

We’ve spent all four of our days in Crete at Sohoro, and we’ve loved every moment. We’re already looking forward to returning for our last two days. This place has everything – a gorgeous pool area, direct access to the beach, and a great atmosphere for families. The staff here are incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure everyone feels welcome. The food and drinks have been top-notch, and the comfortable sunbeds make it easy to relax and enjoy the surroundings. EXCELLENT! Nice pool area with floating pillows what you can use in the pool. Beach is right there also and the athmosphere is very decent. You can rent sunchairs or sunpillow (pic) and its not expensive (10€ 2xsunchair and 5€ sunpillow). Drinks are good and food was even better. Staff are professional and nice. Full recommend! Good music also!

Really a relaxing and cool place to hang out for a whole day. Atmosphere is amazing and outstanding staff. We checked out a few places, but no regrets we ended up here. It really stands out in the crowd. If you’re looking for a beach club to hang out, this is the spot.

Delicious frozen yogurt, a little overpriced (2,10€ per 100g, but I'm broke so... haha). The staff wasn't that friendly, guess she just had a bad day. The choice of toppings and sauces is very great. Not really hygienic though with the same spoons for everyone to use. Would recommend though.

The absolute best haircut experience I’ve had in my entire life! I’ve been here two times, and have gotten great service and haircuts both times. Stamatis is really precise when he cuts hair, and goes over the same areas multiple times to ensure perfection. They are friendly and the service is 10/10. Highly recommended if you are in Crete!!

Had a late evening trip for some ice cream here. The service was not great. Compared to everywhere else in Platanias it was probably the worst service I’d had. Myself and my partner had two scoops of ice cream each and a drink each which came to a total of €23. Not great but not terrible. The issue started when my partners ice cream had a hair in it. A very visible hair directly on the top. We aren’t complainers, and even in a situation like this we don’t like to make a fuss. Believe me, I’ve had cold food before at restaurants where I haven’t complained. However, as the service wasn’t great to start with my partner went and spoke to one of the staff and mentioned there was a hair in her ice cream. The staff member was happy to rectify it and apologised and took the ice cream away. This is when I watched one of the other staff members scrape a small bit of ice cream off the top (I’d assume where the hair was) and replace it with another slither of ice cream. They brought it back and when challenged they were adamant that they had made a fresh ice cream. Again, normally I don’t complain, and I don’t like to make a fuss, but I’m also not the biggest fan of being blatantly lied to. A bit of back and fourth later and me and my partner realised we were losing this battle and just eventually said don’t worry about it. 2 minutes goes by and the staff members comes back past and takes my partners ice cream and says “I’ll sort it”. They then made her a fresh one. Whilst sat eating our ice creams the entirety of the staff inside of the shop were constantly staring at us which doesn’t create the greatest of atmospheres. At this point I just but the bullet and decided to pay and leave. Half of our ice creams and drinks left behind. Credit where credits due though, the ice cream itself was actually quite nice. I wouldn’t return here.

We had four kids excited to order ice cream, while the rest of us adults waited in the hallway so we could all sit together. An older waiter aggressively told us to leave. We explained the kids were ordering, but he didn’t like us waiting there because our shoes were making the floor wet from the rain. Long story short we left.. while he shouted that we should respect his country. Just avoid this place.

I wanted to say a special thank you for the staff, especially "Nikki" who was so kind with my daughter. Also the sir who is in charge of the sunbeds was amazing. The food is fresh and the location by the beach perfect.

It is a lovely restaurant by the sea. It is located at platanias center. The food is delicious, especially the tradiotional greek dishes. We also loved the staff, the waitresses are really polite and cheerful.

I lost my glasses on my first day of holiday, a Friday, and I was recommended this shop by the resort. Impeccable service (English speaking), I arrived at the shop at 17h40 and I got a new pair of glasses the very next day at 14h00 - despite it was the weekend and I had a non negligible correction. Thank you for the kind and extremely rapid service.

Very professional and kind staff. Bought sunglasses and everyday prescription glasses and was very happy with the service and quality of the lens and glass frames. Had a wonderful dinner at this lovely restaurant with our family (including 1 yo). A nice variety of appetisers and salads. Main dishes are grill only. No vegetarian options. All dishes we ordered were cooked/grilled/presented perfectly. We are coming back at least once before the end of our holiday here.

The worst greek food a la carte I have ever eat!! The tuna was overcoked, the pork souflaki was a fatty gum that you cannot chew. The service very slow at lunch. Never again!

What a lovely atmosphere and excellent service. You need to book in advance. We went for dinner sitting outside. We got lamb picanha and Angus beef 🍖 steak. The lamb dish was at its best! One of the best lamb dishes, I have ever tasted! But my husband's steak wasn't that expected. That's the only reason, I gave it 4 stars. Dessert was excellent, white 🤍 forest! For wine, we got a French one as a glass, it wasn't that good. Maybe other wines would be better, or depending on one's taste. For fine dining, it's really very reasonable price!

It was a challenge to pick a dish from the menu as everything was tempting, from the starters to the main dishes, as well as the sides.
