The Noordbrabants Museum is a contemporary museum that showcases a diverse collection of objects related to regional and international history, culture, and art. Established since 1836, the museum houses approximately 30,000 individual items including paintings by Vincent van Gogh and silverware from the 17th century. In addition to its permanent collection, the museum hosts temporary exhibitions featuring work by contemporary artists.
There is a temporary exhibition called “Landscape of the fall”, by Abdelkader Benchamma. Very beautiful art with creative ideas using lines, and very intelligent idea using the huge space on the wall linking to old paintings from Hieronymus Bosch and Pieter Bruegel. By this exhibition itself it is already worthwhile to visit. The museum has other long term exhibitions that are also Interesting. One room specially for Van Gogh. I also like some of the still life oil paintings. The historical parts are also interesting, although we ran out of time to observe the details. I am impressed that there were bronze swords from 1800 BC found in north Brabant area.

The Noordbrabants Museum is a really cool place to visit. I love how they mix traditional art with more modern and unexpected historical pieces. One of the things that stood out to me was seeing items that were part of everyday life not too long ago but are now considered history—like the first Apple computer. It’s fascinating to see how things evolve over time. The museum also has an impressive collection of paintings, including works by Van Gogh, Picasso, and other great artists. Walking through the galleries, I felt like I was experiencing both classic masterpieces and surprising bits of modern history all in one place. It’s definitely a museum worth visiting!
Patricia B — Google review
A beautiful Dutch museum. There is a hall telling the history of the museum, some historic work and a lot of modern works. There was also a performance in the museum when I visited it. I enjoyed the visit a lot. Thanks a lot to the very friendly people working there.
Irina I — Google review
Excellent museum, and a must-go-to if one is in Den Bosch. They have special exhibits every month or so, which I don’t usually care for; but the permanent collection is incredible and alone a reason to visit. The building is beautiful; it is like an old mansion, with gorgeous rooms to hold the still more gorgeous art. One could spend hours here. There is a cafe as well, which has delicious donuts from the famous Jan de Groot cafe. Eating them here has the added bonus that one does not need to spend ages waiting in line for the Jan de Groot cafe. Please be aware that service can be slow. But who goes to an art museum who is in a hurry! I highly recommend this gem of a museum. It is well worth the admission fee.
Ian M — Google review
This is one of the best museums I've been to in the Netherlands. The experience of the journey it takes you through stays with you for days after your visit! I strongly reccomend the The Verhaal van Noord Brabant section 😌

Art center
The Jheronimus Bosch Art Center in Den Bosch, The Netherlands, offers a unique opportunity to delve into the world of the famous medieval painter Hieronymus Bosch. Born and raised in Den Bosch, he is celebrated as the city's most famous son. The center showcases life-size reproductions of all his paintings and blow-ups of his diabolic creatures, providing an immersive experience into his dark and enigmatic works.
This new museum dedicated to Jeroen Bosch is great. You can go all the way to the top of the rotunda by elevator or stairs and see for miles around. Many displays and exact replicas of his art work. Plenty of space to move around. Nice restrooms. Gift shop with reasonable prices for unique items. No food/drink for sale.
Roger C — Google review
This museum is full of surprises. I enjoyed the modern approach on Jheronimus Bosch's artworks and the guide book helped me understand his work better. Staff provides the needed information in a professional, helpful and friendly manner. Take all the time you need, warm clothes (because it's really cold inside) and some friends and enjoy the astronomical clock presentation, as well. 😊
Andreea G — Google review
I was fascinated of Bosch’s work and really enjoyed visiting this art center. They also had some funny trippy movies and huge crazy clock with “animation”
Zhanna — Google review
Extraordinary art experience! Before visiting the museum I didn't know much about the work of Jheronimus Bosch and I was completely blown away by what I saw. The exhibited works are reproductions, but this does not diminish the artistic experience. By entering the museum, you enter a fantastic world that inspires artists to this day. In addition to the work of Jheronimous Bosch, there are also paintings by artists inspired by his work. Also, the world in which the artist created in a very convincing way was revived in the basement of the church. Gallery it self is former Neo-Gothic church where sacred meets surreal. The high ceilings and stained-glass windows set the stage for a journey not just through art, but into Bosch's imagination.  Climb the bell tower for a panoramic view of the town Bosch once walked—unchanged in many ways since his time. Tickets can be purchased at the entrance and cost €12 per person. It is paid exclusively by cards. The ticket comes with a brochure which is very helpful to experience the exhibited works. There is also a guide in the gallery who occasionally explains about individual exhibits.
Zoran J — Google review
Small interesting museum of Bosch's work and work of people inspired by him in a church. Great view from the fifth floor, also has an elevator.
Branimir H — Google review
Very impressed with the Bosch museum - there's nowhere else where you can see all his complete works in one place, let alone as spectacular a building as this old church! Amazing friendly staff, full English guide book included, even have a nice little gift shop. Don't forget to check out the recreated painters workshop down the basement! Only downside is the parking - it sucks, lol. Try going a couple streets to the south.
T B — Google review
What a great museum...the location in a church gives it an extra dimension. You can take the elevator to the rooftop for a great view over the city as well...The paper guide book they give you at the entrance is very interesting too to understand better the artwork! Not to miss....

Design Museum Den Bosch, located in Den Bosch, Netherlands, is a must-visit for those interested in the influence of design on everyday life. The museum offers an international collection of ceramics and jewelry and hosts guided tours and workshops. With ever-changing exhibitions, visitors can explore the cultural significance of design from the past to the future. The museum's architecture stands out against typical Dutch houses and it is known for its large selection of modern artworks as well as a renowned jewelry collection.
Very nicely organised museum of Design, super friendly staff 🌟
Nataliya G — Google review
The main exhibition on design and climate was interesting and well thought out. The second one (Supreme) a bit less interesting to me. I really like that they showcase local design too and that some smaller exhibitions are accessible for free. The Soft Spaces exhibition on drag was touching. Overall the ticket price can be expensive if you want to go back regularly to see the new paid exhibitions though.
Alex B — Google review
Fairly okay ish collection, many parts are at the moment under renovation.
Dibyojeet B — Google review
Definitely not worth the money, for 13.5e per person you don't get much, I think it's overpriced. Half of the museum was about Supreme exhibition that you can see if you just literally visit the Supreme store. The other half was fine, but definitely not for that money. Maybe we're just not the target audience. We went there based on the reviews, honestly just save your money. Also, lots of the pictures on here are probably from some previous exhibitions, so we didn't see anything interesting.
Tijana B — Google review
Had a very fun visit at the museum, went for 'mapping modernity' but enjoyed the other exhibition as well. Mapping modernity was an interesting and educational exhibition. Particularly liked that they had printed the information booklet in an old-fashioned map like format. While the exhibition is only large enough for one large room it took us almost two hours to have a thorough look around and hadn't yet seen everything. Probably less interesting for young kids, though there is an activity for children set up at the start of the exhibition.
Ellen R — Google review
We visited the museum because we were attracted by the indications at the entrance about the "Faster, better, more beautiful – the design of progress". The display is about a fascinating collection of objects designed under the influence of the "need for speed" that has influenced the umanity from the beginning. The items from '30 to '50 are stunning but naif. It is possible to observe the evolution of the shapes proposed and the influence of the simulation technologies to derive more sophisticated shapes. it is possible to take photo inside. on the ground level there is also an expositions of objects connected with human body: protesis, gadgets and surprising technology interacting with your body Amazing
Luca L — Google review
streamline design theme at museum shows how designers have innovated over last hundred years to make machines not only faster, efficient and better but also stunning in looks. Museum highlights through various examples how learning from nature has went into making these design improvements. With workshops and active learning exercises, a perfect place to visit for young and adults.

Museum Slager is a unique tribute to the artistic legacy of the prominent Slager family in Den Bosch. The museum showcases a diverse collection of art pieces and furniture spanning several generations, offering insight into their profound influence on the city's cultural heritage. Visitors can explore various styles among family members' works and immerse themselves in the ambiance of the family's home, complete with original objects and furnishings. Additionally, guests are treated to complimentary coffee and Dutch spice cake for a delightful break during their visit.
A small but very beautiful and welcoming museum, the staff are very receptive and attentive. There are paintings and others from three generations of painters from the Slager family. A place of great peace and beauty. At the end of the visit there is a free coffee, the attendant even offered me a typical bread from the region, they are very attentive to the visitor. This museum is really worth seeing.

Nice little museum in the heart of the city, just behind St Jan cathedral. The permanent exhibition shows the works of three generations of painters and there's also a temporary exhibition. The lady at the front desk was very kind and friendly, she told me a lot about the museum and the family running it. There's also an audio guide both in Dutch and English.
Ira D — Google review
The museum presents the works of eight artists from three generations of the Slager family. It was really interesting getting to know this talented dutch family through their art. The museum is in the Slager family house, so also, you can immerse yourself in the atmosphere of this family's interiors and look at the original objects and furniture of the family. If you want to take a break they will treat coffee and dutch spice cake for free. (you may leave some tip of course) Plus they make temporary exhibitions there! It was an amazing experience. Thank you ❤️
Natasha I — Google review
A tiny museum with excellent paintings and atmosphere. The volunteers are friendly and helpful. The museum shows you 3 generations of painters. All love realistic work so you will see portrets, nature, landscapes and flowers. In the museum there is also place for temporary art of others or other topics. Entrance: 8 euro, including coffee or tea in a cosy room. Duration: about one hour, can easily combine with the kathedral next door!!! If you visit Den Bosch /'s-Hertogenbosch this small museum together with the cathedral is a must! (And don't forget Noord Brabant museum to see van Gogh)

Very nice museum with people having a lot of attention for their visitors. Both the permanent and the temporary exhibition are worth spending some time. The library in the coffee corner is a great place to relax and admire some additional Slager paintings before enjoying lively Den Bosch again. A shame the pen for their guestbook didn’t work last week, so I express our gratitude via this review.
