Japanese restaurant
Restaurant
I loved it. Fantastic food and great ambience. The 6 course meal was a delight. Especially the sushi (tuna belly). Make no mistake, it’ll cost a pretty penny, but worth it for a special family function or business dinner. Happy to return.
Yehia A — Google review
An amazing omakase menu with a variety of dishes. Everything was tasty - exceptional flavours, and courses that are playful while respecting the core ingredients. The staff were friendly and welcoming, genuinely caring about me having a good time. You can also see the head chef throughout the dinner, who makes a lot of effort in his work and looking after the customers.
Thomas E — Google review
We had a great night at Nagaya! It has the service and experience level you expect from a Michelin star restaurant. The dishes had really high quality and are very interesting combinations of typical Japanese ingredients. The yuzu desert was out of this world, never had a tastier dessert! If you are into Japanese cuisine, like next level dining.. I would recommend you to go here! Compared to other 1 star restaurants, the prices for the full omakase menu are bit expensive.. however the quality of the ingredients is really high so therefore worth it. Overal 5 stars! Staff was really friendly, good timing between dishes and outstanding food, perfect plating.
Vivianne B — Google review
Excellent omakase experience. Apart from the classics like nigiris and sashimi, they got some amazing starters which sometimes isn't the case in other fancy japanese restaurants. Overall a great menu, getting the Wagyu is totally worth it. Nice ambient and the service is very attentive. The only con is that they were a bit short on personnel when we were there, so the dinner took a pretty long time.
Mario F — Google review
Exceptional food, good atmosphere and a good service. During lunch there’s usually a lunch menu instead of à la carte- but it’s not a bad deal. We chose a 6 course meal instead of 3 because the price difference between the two options was just about 12 euros - but please keep in mind, drinks add on quite a lot to the bill 😁. Absolutely no complaints about wine though!! Worth every penny!! It’s a Michelin Star for a reason! Worth a visit 😊
Asmita D — Google review
I would like to give six stars, if possible! The best reason to visit Düsseldorf is this amazing Michelinstar restaurant. Yoshizumi NAGAYA is the creator of the best Japanese food I have ever eaten. Dinner at his restaurant, were he works together with his amazing wife and very professional sommelier, made our taste buds explode in firework of pleasure! Each bite was full of surprises and amazing combination s. And most of all - the quality! The quality of the fish or wagyu meat was the top - it just melted in the mouth ❤️🐟. I'm still remembering that experience! Amazing! Highly recommend to all looking for the best quality, serviss and willing to experience the best Japanese food in Düsseldorf or even - all Europe 😉❤️ It is not food - it's a peace of art! Yes, it's definitely rather expensive, but it is worth every cent spent.
Dagmara L — Google review
The restaurant offers top service and food, with impeccable presentation. For a restaurant of this level I wish the interior had a bit more character. You will love the t, but do not go in a hurry.
George M — Google review
Amazing dishes based on Japanese cuisine but European fusion, nice advice on each food and wine recommendation from wine sommelier. Every food is just wonderful. Of course it’s not cheap but surely worth it from the great ingredients importing straight on Japan. I’d like to come back again after I save money for it ;)

Fine dining restaurant
French restaurant
Restaurant
Nestled in a charming baroque brick building near the Rhine River, Im Schiffchen has been a culinary gem in Düsseldorf since 1977. Under the expert guidance of chef Jean-Claude Bourgueil and his talented pastry team, this Michelin-starred restaurant offers an exquisite journey through French cuisine. Each dish tells a story while embracing simplicity, with highlights like the delicately steamed Breton lobster infused with chamomile blossoms.
Cosy restaurant near the river, classic French cuisine. Classic interior with ship themed decor. Visited for dinner on a Saturday evening and chose the chefs menu. Food quality and presentation are very good, taste of the dishes was exceptional. (including the friandises with the coffee) Serving size of the dishes was well adapted to the number of courses. Quality of the service was very good, unfortunately on the night we visited they were seemingly understaffed. This lead to quite long waits between the last parts of the menu. (45 to 60 minutes) Guests mostly locals on the day we went, reservations required. They have Valet parking. Will definitely be back.
Remco J — Google review
Excellent food and service. The wine list was not that large, but an excellent selection so no problem. Had an excellent white Puligny-Montrachet and glas of red Chateau Haut-Madrac for the meat.
Karsten S — Google review
Wow how much of a difference 5 years makes! My first visit here was a dinner date back in 2010. My wife and I revisited again in 2015 or so.. On that visit we found the food - while excellent - simply too much . This was the 3 star and we probably were not the right target audience. We went to the bistro last night and it was a great surprise ! More casual, personal and the dishes lighter, colourful and we made it to the end without feeling overwhelmed. The staff were very hospitable. Great job! Oh and the sake was for me a highlight! Never would I have thought that, delicious :)
John B — Google review
Amazing meal with everything you would expect in a Michelin restaurant. The atmosphere feels like you're on a boat so be prepared that the restaurant isn't spacious, some would say it's cozy. Staff was very professional and friendly.
Jamie C — Google review
The old famous Düsseldorf restaurant. Been around for almost five decades. Feels like a must see. The food is very good and the experience unique with a bit of droll thrown in. Worth a visit.
Moji J — Google review
What a true culinary experience this evening was. Every dish was beautiful crafted. I went with the 6 course menu and was amazed at the tastes and presentation of the food. A must try if you are in the Düsseldorf area.
BellHH S — Google review
Food was delicious and we enjoyed everything that they had to offer culinary wise. The staff were very friendly and we enjoyed the atmosphere. The unfortunate bit was that service lasted 4hrs+. We were so tired by the time we got the desert that we took it home. I would go back but probably order individual meals rather the degustation.

Sensational food experience! Staff are well informed, the collection of wine is superb, cool location and super delicious dishes!

Wine bar
Nestled in the heart of Altstadt, Weinhaus Tante Anna is a charming wine bar and restaurant that beautifully marries homestyle German cuisine with an impressive selection of wines. Under the guidance of Myriam Oxenfort since mid-2019, this establishment has transformed into a culinary gem where guests can indulge in both a la carte options and exquisite four- to five-course menus crafted by chef Simon Nauels.
Beautiful atmosphere combined with excellent service. All plates tasted were superb in taste and presentation. Nice wine list. Highly recommended.
Dimitri K — Google review
We enjoyed the degustation menu here and it tasted good, but for that price we already had better and more refined. The service was okay but everything felt a bit old school.
Tom B — Google review
Amazing place, great atmosphere and waiters. However, the steak could have been better.
Peter U — Google review
Amazing and authentic atmosphere! I was invited here for a business dinner, and both the food and service were far beyond my expectations. I had the goat cheese for the starter and the chocolate mousse for dessert — both were excellent! The main course was so delicious that I completely forgot to take a photo — sorry about that! A truly memorable experience — thank you to the team at Weinhaus Tante Anna! It will definitely be one of the first places I visit again when I return to Düsseldorf. Greetings from Istanbul! 🇹🇷
Yunus U — Google review
I went there mostly because it's a "wine house" and i'm a wine lover. I really liked the interior, vintage style but cozy. Food was delicious, i had the 4 course meal with wine pairing and the wine was great enough to leave with 2 bottles :). Everybody was very attentive, i even got to say hello to the grand grand daughter of Tante Anna. I would definitely go back there next time i'm in town. Dusseldorf is a nice city, Tante Anna is a "must go" if you enjoy a fancy meal with a very good wine.
Ioana F — Google review
What an amazing experience! Upon entering we were greeted immediately with amazing service. Both waiters made sure our waters and wines were always topped. They even showered us with compliments and one of them even helped me down the stairs. Very lovely! The food was also impeccable. We went for the four course meal which also included a little surprise from the kitchen (the first photo) and the bread of course. Unfortunately I didn’t photo the last dish since it was so tasty and we were too distracted. The last dish (deer) paired lovely with the jus the waiter poured onto the plate. Absolutely divine and tantalised the taste buds significantly. Usually I am let down by the deserts at restaurants as it’s usually overlooked, but not at this place! It was so well balanced with each element and I was not bored of the desert either! We both left the restaurant with a bellies full of happiness and good food (and slightly drunk too)! Cannot complain!!
Emma O — Google review
Had a lovely Mother's day dinner here in May this year. Food was beautifully prepared, the doneness on the meat was perfectly medium rare, flavours and textures were on point as well. The staff here was so friendly and kind, they're also great at recommending the right wines. Highly recommend!

Just a wonderful meal there last night. Extremely attentive waiter, amuse bouche, lovely wine and an inventive menu based on traditional dishes. Simply excellent food in a great setting. We absolutely will be coming back.

Hamburger restaurant
American restaurant
Restaurant
Located in the Altstadt and Medienhafen, Bob & Mary serves up some of the best burgers in Düsseldorf. Their 100% local beef is sourced multiple times a day and always cooked to perfection.
Bob & Mary in Düsseldorf offers good food and friendly service. I tried the steak salad and Korean chicken bites, both were tasty. One downside is that they don’t have large water bottles. Prices are reasonable considering the location.
Juri R — Google review
The service and vibe of restaurant were good, but for a burger restaurant they could offer better burgers! The amount of burger was too small and bread was too soft. I prefer a little bit harder bread. Homemade lemonade was too sweet and they don’t have tap beer, just bottled beer! In addition, goat cheese salad does not have any special taste. It has just smell of goat cheese!
Mona K — Google review
Possibly one of the best burgers I have ever had. The meat was cooked really well and tasted fresh not frozen. The bun was light and the burger was generously topped. The goats cheese burger was the perfect balance of sweet, salty and meaty and was a hefty portion with a side of chips. There are a variety of sauces to choose from too.
Alex M — Google review
Very tasty burgers! Quite pricey in my opinion for what it offers. The waitress was not so kind!
Alex T — Google review
Nice burger, I had the 4K, sweet fries and a salad. Enjoyed the food. The cocktail was good as well! Superfast service!
Hans K — Google review
Stumbled across this lovely restaurant by mistake the burgers were amazing and the service highly recommended
Adam H — Google review
I had a great experience at Bob & Mary. The burgers were fresh, juicy, and full of flavor, and the sides were just as good. The place is clean, well-organized, and has a relaxed atmosphere. Staff were friendly, quick, and attentive, which made the whole visit even better. Definitely one of the best spots in Düsseldorf for a quality burger. Highly recommended.

Amaziiiing kinds of burger 🍔 The taste is wonderful 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 Very good Service. Highly recommended ‼️ we tried Bob & Mary after two years, and the quality of the food has been reduced, it is not good like before , and 5 burgers took them 90 min to make!

Fusion restaurant
Berens am Kai, located in the Media Harbour area of Dusseldorf, has been a pioneer of modern European cuisine since its establishment in 1998. Under the leadership of Holger Berens and now Chef Michal Slawik, this Michelin-starred restaurant offers high-quality and innovative international dishes. Emphasizing seasonal ingredients and strong supplier relationships, it continues to deliver intense flavors and classic dishes like oysters, foie gras, and Black Angus fillet.
This is an exceptional restaurant in terms of food selection and preparation. Everything was delicious. It was a 4 course menu starting with cold starter (shrimps), then warm one (sea baas) and main being duck with red cabbage. All accompanied with very tasty (yet a bit heavy) red wine. For the end, an amazing marinated pear and ice cream. Highly recommended.
Jure Š — Google review
More than 2 hours for a starter and a main? The tartare was basically a bruschetta with a bit of meat and a lot of mayo. The rest was OK but were they worth the bill? No. They won’t see us again. Shame as the location is top notch. But there are a few other options in the hafen.
Marina C — Google review
Nice location at the Medienhafen. Small menu with good selection of starters, catch of the day and different meat options. Very small and imho overpriced wine list. Good and very friendly service, but not adequate to the pricing. Dishes are creative and of very good quality.
Reinhard B — Google review
My observation based on one visit on a Saturday evening in September (four people, a la carte) and comparison to other Michelin star restaurants around the globe (this year ~30 stars visited and life time till now ~100 stars). Pros: beautiful spot in the Düsseldorf harbor; cosy environment; food was seasonal and tasty, especially the duck. Concerns: 1) Telephone contact before visit: Typically you will receive a phone call previous your visit for confirmation and allergy check. There was no phone contact at all. 2) Entrance and welcoming: When we came into the restaurant, no service personal was at entrance. We needed to wait 2 minutes until one lady came to us. After we mentioned that we had a reservation, no welcoming, no smile in her face, only a sentence “okay, can I take your jackets and coats?” 3) Table and cutlery: 3.1) No tablecloth, no candle 3.2) different cutleries / butter knives served on the table. 3.3) tee pot was defect, i.e. without top cover. 4) Menu: 4.1) No vegetarian variation. 4.2) In comparison to other stars, the combination of ingredients is rather simple. Just an example of dessert, fresh plum, plum juice, wasabi ice cream, and another cream. 5) Wine and beverage: There is NO non-alcoholic pairing. We asked for non-alcoholic options. Only four options: one non-alcoholic sparking wine (the last bottle), one apple juice based, virgin mojito, and non-alcoholic beer. 6) services: 6.1) Again, no question around allergies when the order has been taken. 6.2) We asked for non-alcoholic options. After ~20 min waiting time, I reminded the waitress that we still waited for her offer. Her answer was, I quote, “I told you already that we have only four options.” 6.3) half glass of virgin mojito was removed 6.4) two times, we needed to remind the waitress to serve a new bottle of water 6.5) glasses were placed without what we wanted to drink 6.6) no introduction of each course at the beginning. 6.7) one waitress in black has never shown a single smile during the whole night. 6.8) last but not least, Holger Berens, the owner and the previous chef, helped with serving and removing at the end. First thought was positive due to his hands-on mentality; second thought, however, was deeply concerned by lack of qualified service staffs. Summary: a nice spot in Düsseldorf Harbor. Food was seasonal and tasty. However, very limited choices for vegetarians and non-alcoholic drinkers. Moreover, significant improvement potentials in services were clearly identified.
Ruirui Z — Google review

German restaurant
Uerige is a traditional brewery in Dusseldorf, Germany, offering tours of the beer-making process and serving Rhineland cuisine at its restaurant. The brewery is a popular local meeting place with a cozy atmosphere spread across six major rooms. It is known for some of the best regional German beer in the country.
We had heard great things about this place, and after visiting family in Paderborn we spent 2 days in Düsseldorf and just had to check it out! Thought it was such a cool vibe throughout. I don't drink alcohol, but my wife, brother and sister in law took advantage of some super quick service for their beers. Soft drinks are at a minimum (water or apple juice) but I'd 100% recommend the apple juice as it really was nice. Really loved looking around and I understand why the place is so big as we called back in on the evening and it was PACKED! Staff are friendly and happy honestly you're not waiting long for anything, even when jam packed.
Ashleigh L — Google review
Generally authentic, nice place. If you’re a tourist,it’s important to know that the beer glasses fly away as soon as you finish it and immediately you got another one😅 so make sure you make the right count how much did you drink. We were 6 at the table, asked to split the bill, the waiter didn’t tell there is only a possibility of cash payments if you split, with the card it’s minimum of 50€. And his answer was that it’s like that in Germany 😅 no other place did tell us the same thing the whole week spent in Dusseldorf.
Kate M — Google review
Great authentic food, with big portions. The place is very crowded and the serving can take a while. However the waiter is very friendly and fun too. The pork knuckle is big, crispy and tasty. They will keep refilling your beer if they saw your glass is a bit empty.
Ellen B — Google review
Highlight of Düsseldorf! Our waiter was fantastic.. he kept the 0.25 liter beer flowing. While the beer was very tasty, the outdoor patio was an excellent location to gather and observe the sights and sounds of the city.
Marisa K — Google review
What’s a better way to start the morning than having a local brewed Alt beer, a gherkin, and a pork tartar on bread with onions? Popped in at 11:15am and it was buzzing already. People on the beers. The place is huge - can easily hold over 500 people I imagine. We came back later in the aftenroon and it was rammed full of people, too. They are rightfully busy. They deliver a solid service, with great food and drinks. If I was a local i’d be +5kg because I would frequent this place very often.

great food! food and drinks were served very quickly. we visited on a Sunday, and had to wait in line for almost an hour due to technical issues. 15 minutes before they opened, they handed out the menu so we could order in advance. once we entered the restaurant, we had to pay upfront, which i thought was time-efficient.

The queue for this ramen says it all. Delicious, hot authentic ramen broths and perfectly cooked ramen noodles and eggs. If you’re a fan of ramen, this is the place to go on Dusseldorf. Definitely recommend the tantanmen and stamina ramens with chase. Seating is quite close to other tables but not too much of an issue, there are baskets to place your outdoor coats and bags. The fried gyoza we ordered was also excellent.

Probably this is one of the best Asian restaurants in Germany and maybe x-countries. It is so popular that you need to go 15 min before they open, otherwise you would need to wait in the queue for an hour. Almost everything is good and tasty. Yet, our best seller is the tan tan noddle soup. The restaurant is well know for their homemade food and stocks - soups. Here you will enjoy a homemade noodles, without artificial flavours. To keep time efficiency and while you are waiting in the queue, which is outside, the staff gives you the menu card and take your order. Then you need to pay upfront before sitting. I'm not fan of that but I could understand why it is done. The venue is not very fancy, but after tasting the soup, you do not care about the venue. Great place to eat Asian dishes.

Amazing all around! We were sat upstairs & outside in a private 1 table patio which was super nice. Gave us a button so we can call for service if we ever needed it. The service was so good and so fast. And the food was delicious. Such a great experience & refresher compared to our experience at Koi right down the street about an half hour earlier. Thank you Naniwa! I highly recommend! Edit: I just realized this page is Naniwa Noodles, and not the sushi place. I’ll put this review in the other page. Either way, anything Naniwa is great to me now!

During my stay in Düsseldorf, I chose this ramen shop mainly because other restaurants were not open at the time, and this one had good reviews. As someone who often travels to Japan, I must say the ramen here is not exactly authentic. Of course, one cannot expect the same level of authenticity in Germany, but the flavor was still enjoyable. The karaage was decent, though the skin could have been a little more crispy. Flavor-wise, it was fine, and the price was very reasonable. The fried gyoza was average—more like typical deep-fried dumplings, whereas I personally prefer the traditional pan-fried style. Overall, the food quality was above average, especially considering the affordable price. What deserves special mention is the Japanese waitress. Her service was excellent and added a very nice touch to the dining experience.

The food is quite good and reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and attentive, also speaks English. The weird thing was that you’re supposed to pay upfront, even though it has table service.

Whenever we visit Düsseldorf we never miss to eat here. We have been a customer since 2012! Never have been disappointed with the food. Staff is also very friendly. My favorite is the Chanpon ramen. Finish your meal green tea ice cream. The only downside is the long wait times - there’s always a queue outside no matter the day. Our tip: go during opening hours — then the line is only half as long 😂
Francis M — Google review
Have been here multiple times. I am always impressed at how efficient and organized this restaurant is. There is a hostess who takes care of the line that is quite long especially at peak hours. Food-wise, no criticism, just delicious - if you are looking for a high quality ramen or noodle dish, there is plenty of choice for nearly every taste! It is located in the Japanese corner of Dusseldorf and among many other Japanese restaurants. Don’t forget to add your lava egg on top 😜

The restaurant's prime location in Medienhafen provides stunning views of the TV tower and Gehry buildings, making it an ideal place to enjoy an exquisite lunch while taking in the scenery.
DOX Restaurant blends elegant harbour views with refined seafood and steak dishes in a chic, upscale setting. Ideal for special occasions, though prices and service can be hit or miss.

I don’t know what the management is thinking, but this bar definitely needs improvement in staff training or hiring new employees. In places like a hotel with such a name, service should never be compromised. First of all, waiting for the menu, then placing an order, which took 40 minutes. They didn’t bring any snacks either. Moreover, when I asked for water with my cocktails, which is a standard practice in a good bar that cares about its guests, I was asked, “For drinking?” The atmosphere is amazing, beautiful, a classic bar with very pleasant and polite guests. However, cocktails priced at €17-20 are not worth the money because of the service.

İ guess i have found a fav place for mittagessen or a coffee break with a lovely view. Located on the hafen with the most beautiful view and at the same time with gourmet kitchen Dox made my day👍 I go with the lunch card and started with a very fresh salad which is followed with salmon, both were very delicious. Also the ambiance and the atmosphere of the restaurant is so appealing. I will definitely take my guests visiting Dusseldorf for the first time and i am sure they will leave the city with a very positive image afterwards😄Also the staff is so welcoming and helpful so overall it deserves all the stars given👌

Resturant concept is nice, service team are friendly and helpful. Chefs and Resturant management still need additional training in terms of communication and food taste development. I had the chance to taste different plates. Some of them are cooked correctly and have clear identity. While other plates like fish which is basic were cooked wrong. It was raw!!! Resturant management once they knew, they didn’t take action or apologize. Therefore, I would still recommend to give them one more chance to see the improvement.

We love this place and the view of the harbour. A perfect place to get a scene photo of Düsseldorf. DOX always offers very nice menus and delicious food. The quality of all the products they are using is suberb. Lovely and well trained staffs. Comfortable seating and nice interior design. Parking is easy in their underground car park.

Fine dining restaurant
This stylish, inventive, and whimsical restaurant is located in a supermarket in Düsseldorf. The kitchen is helmed by Anton Pahl who has received two stars from Michelin. Dishes here range from classical French cuisine to more avant-garde fare, with prices ranging from affordable to quite costly. There are three seating areas, as well as a bar serving alcoholic beverages.
This place has beaten my expectations and has provided a better fine dining experience compared to many Michelin stared restaurants I have been to in the past. The dishes have such a perfect mixture of taste and texture, it makes you wonder why it doesn’t have a star. You might find it strange that it’s located in the basement of a high end supermarket, don’t let that stop you from making a reservation. You won’t regret it.

I had an excellent meal and experience at Setzkasten. I was very impressed by the attention to detail and stories behind each dish. I sat at the Chefs table and was greeted with open arms and countless conversations from the head chef. I very much enjoyed my meal and would recommend Setzkasten to anyone traveling to Dusseldorf. I truly see why they received a Michelin star. Excellent dining experience!

Setzkasten, Düsseldorf » My last visit: Aug 2025 » Number of visits: 5 » Total score: 4.8/5 – very good » Comment: I've known the Setzkasten since Dec 2021. In my opinion, the gourmet restaurant exceeds expectations in key respects: the taste and level of the food were outstanding, the same applies to the wine and I also thought the price was outstanding. As for the food, I would like to highlight the amuses, which I thought were outstanding, the outstanding main course of suckling pig and the equally outstanding confiserie. As for the wines, I particularly enjoyed an outstanding (white) Châteauneuf-du-Pape and an outstanding champagne (with dessert). All in all, once again a very convincing performance. I will definitely visit the Setzkasten again. 1|130|74 ===== My ratings for this gourmet restaurant in detail: ●● Service – 4.7/5 – very good: ● Hospitality, friendliness, obligingness, etc.: 4.7/5 ● Atmosphere, temper, facilitation, etc.: 4.8/5 ●● Food – 4.8/5 – very good: ● Flavors (range, depth, composition, harmony/balance, etc.): 4.9/5 ● Level (thoroughness, craftsmanship, originality, exclusivity, variety of impressions, consistency/diversity, etc.): 4.9/5 ● Choices: 3.3/5 ●● Beverages, mainly the wines – 4.8/5 – very good: ● Taste (depth/range, length, complexity, balance, accessibility, elegance, intensity/subtlety, etc.): 4.9/5 ● Level (variety/novelty of impressions, consistency/diversity, exclusivity, etc.): 4.9/5 ● Did the beverages (mainly the wines) match the dishes?: 4.8/5 ● Choices: 4.6/5 ●● Presentation of the food – 4.7/5 – very good: ● Textures and (differences in) temperatures: 4.9/5 ● Colors and decorations: 4.4/5 ● Timing and sequencing as well as sizes of portions: 4.9/5 ● Special effects (positionings, DIY-effects, sculptural or thematic elements, surprises, color and motion effects, fake effects, olfactory effects, fog or smoke effects, etc.): 4.3/5 ● Procedures at and around the table (attunements and explanations, elements added/changed, service and staffing intensity, involvement of kitchen team, orchestrated dish presentations, preparations and dishes (partially) built up at the table, etc.): 4.8/5 ●● Presentation of beverages, mainly the wines – 4.9/5 – outstanding: ● Procedures at and around the table (explanations and attunements, etc.): 4.9/5 ● Quantities poured as well as timing in relation to the dishes: 4.9/5 ●● Premises and location – 4.7/5 – very good: ● Accessibility, surroundings and - as applicable - the view: 4.6/5 ● How did I like the room or - as applicable - outdoor area’s style, decor and atmosphere?: 4.8/5 ● Well-being (space, privacy, temperature, ventilation/odors, lighting, soundscape, sanitary facilities, etc.): 4.6/5 ●● Price – 4.9/5 – outstanding: ● Price-performance ratio for food: 5.0/5 ● Price-performance ratio for wines and other beverages: 4.9/5 ● Price transparency and correspondence of the expected to the actual price (simple, complete and unambiguous price information on the restaurant's website and in the menu, etc.): 4.8/5

Food was amazing, salmon and dessert were the best! Service was good, the restaurant is inside a big supermarket, but you will not notice this when you are inside the restaurant! Great food experience

We had an absolutely wonderful meal here at Setzkasten for our anniversary! The degustation was well planned and executed in terms of flavour, technique and inventiveness. And the varying textures in each dish were so satisfying. Two of the dishes were a tad too salty for my liking, but still so enjoyable and were quickly balanced by the following dishes. Service slowed down a little at the end, but we weren't so bothered by that. Our server Frank was so lovely, professional and thoughtful! Thanks to him and the rest of the team at Setzkasten we had a beautiful time! Perfect for date nights and special occasions. P.S. The snacks are to die for!

We were passing the restaurant so many times because it’s inside of one of the most fancy EDEKAs in the regions, and finally had a chance to explore it. The dinner took around 4 hours, but the time flied so quickly. The dishes were amazing (each and every of them), the wine pairing was on point and complemented food perfectly. We also enjoyed the service: it’s attentive and polite, and the staff even made us laugh a few times :) Such a gem inside of a supermarket!

My first michelin star restaurant experience inside a super market... The main course is the best dish. Too much effort to "make" the dishes fancy with sauces, all the sauces don't match the taste of the dishes and are completely unnecessaey imo. Service is good!

Modern European restaurant
Brasserie
The Duchy, formerly known as Brasserie 1806, is a sophisticated restaurant located within the Breidenbacher Hof hotel in Düsseldorf. The restaurant exudes old-world charm with its Louis XVI style decor, featuring ornate chandeliers and marble pillars. The menu offers elevated European dishes and cocktails, complemented by charming views of Düsseldorf's Altstadt. The ambiance is enhanced by the elegant Art-deco style and unique decor elements sourced from Parisian markets.
My trip was brightened by a wonderful visit to this lovely restaurant. I absolutely love the attention to detail — the service was friendly and polite. I was there with my daughter, and it’s very kid-friendly. I will definitely visit again on my next trip to Düsseldorf! Thank u!

The restaurant exudes beauty and elegance, perfectly set within a luxurious hotel. The atmosphere is sophisticated yet inviting, making it the kind of place where dressing up feels just right. Service was truly top-notch—the staff were professional, attentive, and ensured I was always well looked after. Dinner was exquisitely presented, fresh, and full of flavor. While on the pricier side, it was absolutely worth it. The Viennese Schnitzel was among the best—if not the best—I’ve ever had, and I’ve dined around the world. The fresh pasta was equally impressive, simple yet bursting with flavor.

Not recommend. This was our second time at this restaurant and sadly, the second disappointment. The place looks beautiful, and the service is lovely, but the food? Truly underwhelming, especially for the price. We came with friends and spent around €700, and honestly, the only dish worth mentioning was the tartare. The lobster soup tasted strange, the steak was boiled (yes, boiled — not even grilled), and the dessert had cheap-tasting white chocolate. But the worst part? I ordered a double decaf espresso at 9 PM — and got a regular one. I ended up with a pounding heart and zero sleep that night. It’s a shame, because the vibe is great. But with food like that — I can’t recommend it. Definitely not coming back.

I was looking for a place for lunch after shopping, and this spot turned out to be the perfect choice. Impeccable service, an interesting menu, and even a special insert about the sourcing of the products. I had the lobster soup and the Caviar Carbonara — both were absolutely delicious. Bravo!
Anna K — Google review
Extremely disappointing experience. The service was far below expectations — we had to wait over 40 minutes between the starters and the main course, with no explanation or apology from the staff. Throughout the meal, we constantly had to call the waiter just to get basic attention, which made the whole experience frustrating. The lack of organization and care for customers was very obvious. For the prices they charge, the service should be much better. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this

Delicious food - the balance in every dish is outstanding. Rich, hearty, yet fresh and light. Attentive, warm, and delightful service. I plan to be back here soon!

Overall, it was a great experience from the time I entered the restaurant until I left. I started with a nice glass of Tattinger Champaign and had the opportunity to chat with "the Duchy," who is the well styled hostess. She explained the ideas and history behind the restaurant theme. It was a nice conversation, and as I was dining alone, welcomed. They start the service by bringing out two types of bread with salted butter. Both breads were nice - potato bread and bread with apple and black pudding (sausage). I selected the steak tartar as my starter. The meat was very good quality, and the mix of ingredients was tasty. For the main course, I chose the beef rib, which was accompanied by a tomato salad. The steak was very well cooked and seasoned - which was a first for me in Germany. For the desert, it was black cherries with a warm chocolate cake and sunflower ice cream. All was good, especially the ice cream. This restaurant is expensive and a bit of an indulgence, but it used local top quality ingredients and was exceptional. I would certainly recommend it.

Dinner at the Duchy with a couple of friends, fantastic, professional service. Food presentation was great, and the taste was even better. Pricing was as expected for the location and quality of the food and service. No rush or sense of urgency to get through the courses allowing plenty of time to enjoy the food and conversation.

Café de Bretagne is a delightful bistro that transports you straight to the French coast with its vibrant atmosphere and fresh seafood offerings. Nestled in Düsseldorf's bustling Carlsplatz, this charming eatery features a menu brimming with Breton specialties like mussels, lobster, and an array of fish dishes. The unique table settings double as menus, inviting diners to indulge in succulent oysters and juicy shrimp while cracking open delicious lobster claws.
A wonderful place with a unique oyster tavern atmosphere. If you are looking for a French-oyster vibe - this is definitely the place for you. Just don't forget to book a table in advance - the place is very popular. Our whole family is delighted with you guys and can't wait for our next meeting!

If you're looking for a casual spot to enjoy a glass of wine with some oysters, this place might work for you. The atmosphere is pleasant, but unfortunately, the food doesn’t live up to its price. The menu lacks variety, with most dishes centered around potatoes, which feels quite removed from authentic French cuisine. The fish was underseasoned and lacked flavor. Overall, it’s not the best choice if you’re searching for a true French dining experience.
Ion S — Google review
Overall it was just an OK place. The food was fine. I think a bit of personal touch was missing in the service. If you want try some oysters in a nice atmosphere with some French wine you can try that. Prices are a bit on higher side, which does not justify the overall experience.

NEVER VISIT THIS PLACE. This is not a seafood restaurant. It’s literally a HOLE where you fear for your health after eating. I’ve never eaten lobster in my life and came to Düsseldorf specifically for that. The lobster cost 100 euros and 60 euros. I was with my relatives. When they brought me the lobster I ordered, I first thought it was a joke. I’ll attach photos of what it looked like. We ordered oysters and two lobsters—one big, one smaller. Now, let me tell you the problem. Upon entering the restaurant, you’re immediately greeted by a huge freezer where they store the seafood, but the catch is that this freezer either doesn’t work or works so weakly that you don’t feel any cold at all, even when touching the lid. Moving on. The oysters we ordered—they’re in the photos. They weren’t alive. They didn’t react to anything—neither lemon juice nor touch. We returned half the order, fearing for our health, as seafood poisoning is one of the most dangerous. Next, about the lobsters. And here’s where it gets interesting. What you see in the photos is exactly what they brought us. If it’s not clear: they cook the product, put it on display, and wait for someone to buy it. What’s on the plate in the photo is a lobster that was cooked who-knows-when, cold and dry. It wasn’t prepared an hour before we arrived or in our presence. I think it was cooked 2 or 3 days ago. The one in the photo is a large lobster. I didn't take a picture of the second one. The sauce was a mix of mayonnaise and ketchup. To say it was bad doesn’t even begin to cover it. I literally feared for my health. In one of the photos, you’ll see a crab that was already cooked. That’s a ready product, prepared who-knows-when. NEVER, under any circumstances, go there. It’s dangerous for your health.NEVER The price of two losbets was about 150 Euros
New E — Google review
I actually liked the restaurant, but I think there is potential for improvement. Some dishes are pretty good (usually quite small, but for french cuisine that is often the case) and some dishes are just not it. Additionally I find the restaurant quite pricey for their services. I understand that düsseldorf isn’t directly at the sea, so I am not going to be too harsh, but for that money one can find a bit better food. But I wouldn’t say it is a bad restaurant. I can actually very much recommend the Moules. They were very tasty and not so expensive.
Zomb P — Google review
Best seafood restaurant. Everything we ordered tasted amazing and fresh. Service is great but the ambiance is a bit too loud if you are someone who is looking for a quiet fine dining experience. But, the food should make up for that. We will definitely comeback.

A good restaurant when you’re in the mood for seafood. We had 4 different types of oysters and two different pastas with mussels, fish and prawns. All the ingredients were fresh, food was delicious and service was good. Only thing we didn’t like was the bread which unfortunately wasn’t fresh at all. Overall a good experience and will definitely visit the restaurant again.

The interior features light beiges and whites, allowing the food to take center stage with bursts of color on each plate.

A restaurant with 1 Michelin star. Agata’s Restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere without being fancy. The team is very attentive and efficient. I ordered the full tasting menu with wine pairing and it was excellent! Great food and surprising and great wine options too! The service was excellent too!
Fabio I — Google review
This isn’t the review that I was hoping that I was going to be writing about this restaurant. I have been to quite a few Michelin star restaurants. In Germany and other places in the world. I was very excited about visiting this one. The ambience in the restaurant itself is OK but not outstanding. The server seemed a little discombobulated and quite confused about the wine menu at first. We went with the full tasting menu, including the wine pairing. The menu wasn’t horrible by any means the food was all very well thought out and very delicious. However, I didn’t find anything to be over-the-top memorable. I felt more than one dish to be a bit of a miss. When you come to a restaurant of this caliber, you typically expect every single dish to be top-notch. I do feel that this restaurant is trying to go very veg forward. Which I do appreciate, however, it doesn’t seem like it was quite the focus therefore, it made it a little bit complicated. If the goal was to go veg forward, that should’ve been the full concept the whole way through. Both my partner, and I agreed that nothing was standing out in our minds as something that we would think about forever. That is not to say that we had a bad meal. It was very, very lovely. Just not what I expected of a restaurant of this kind. There was a little chocolate peanut at the end, and I would have to say that that was my favorite part. Which is strange because in a menu such as this, a tiny little bonbon should not really be the best part. The shift did seem very polite. He came over and said hello. Again, I am not saying that this was bad by any means, I am just saying that there are better Michelin star restaurants.
Danielle C — Google review
In one word explained: Fantastic experience!!! We have selected the 9 course menu. Every course with a differnt taste of wine or champagne. The chocolate as dessert fantastic. Very good service with explanations for each course. Its just sad to be able to select just 5 stars. I would like to give 10! This evening was unforgettable! Thanks to the whole team.

One of the better degustation menus we ate in Düsseldorf. Very friendly service with a clear explanation of the dishes for non German speaking visitors. Dishes were nicely presented, perfect in portion size and delicious. A big variation of flavors with vegetable, fish and meat dishes.

Wonderful fine dining restaurant, centrally located, friendly staff, tasty food. Great for business meal or a private dinner. The food is nicely decorated and while I couldn't exactly follow what was in the dish or which utensil to use and when, it tasted great. Particularly happy with the dessert - the banana bread with sorbet was amazing - I wolfed down 2 of them in 10 seconds (and that was slow for my standards - could easily have managed a third in half the time). The ambience is nice. See pics attached. Happy to return.
Yehia A — Google review
A well-deserved Michelin star experience. Thoroughly impressed by the elegant simplicity of the ingredients and how beautifully each element came together. Every dish was fresh, creatively presented, and never overdone — refined without being pretentious. From appetisers to mains, each course was a hit. The pacing and thoughtful sequence of dishes, including the palate cleansers, enhanced the entire dining experience and kept my taste buds engaged throughout. Standout highlights: the trout, Secreto Iberico, and Sole — all left me wanting more.

Food is really well cooked and tasty. Service is casual and minimal (the manager was really warm and nice), yet the experience somehow fell short and the value proposition didn’t seem very attractive as a whole. We arrived early, so I suggested we could have a drink at the bar first. But the waiter said the table was ready so we thought if we could start early, we could leave early. How wrong were we! We went for a tasting menu of 6 course and the wait time between courses was just unreal. We had to wait almost at least 20 mins between each course and the longest one was 45 mins (we had a 12 course menu from another restaurant the night before at a comfortable pace and that took less time, just to give you some perspective). Some really really tasty dishes in mix and some dishes were okay. None of them were worth the wait though.

Waiteresses are not initiative enough, we urged several rounds for menu (isn't this basic? or should we, the Asian, not having the right to have the drink menu first according to some stereotype?) bread, water etc. (bread was dead cold); Starters were served incorrectly, and we spent 20mins more to wait for the correct one (even though one of the dishes was correct, it was left on bar table and not presented until the other one was done, so it already passed the best consuming time) Lasagna was hollow yet painstakingly salty, because of the overdose of olives and sun-dried tomatos; The whole speed flow was horribly slow, we spent nearly 2 hours for "quick" lunch, tho we were not the last to place the order, we became the last to finish.... Not very sure how you aquire 1 star in a comparatively short time. I understand the lunch team might be the “bench player” of kitchen crew, but anyway they are benchplayers of a Michelin qualified kitchen crew, and it by no means should be acting this way. P.S., the ventilation system needs further attention, the strong smell from back kitchen was attacking us for the whole noon, we were like a walking stew when entering the museum in the afternoon.

Restaurant
Schweine Janes Altstadt is a casual eatery located in the heart of Aldstadt, Dusseldorf. For over 30 years, it has been a popular spot for traditional German comfort food. The menu features classics like schnitzel, but the highlight is the variety of grilled and roasted pork and beef cuts, particularly the schweinehaxe (roasted ham hock). This hearty fare pairs perfectly with their reasonably priced local beers.
On a very, very busy day in this lovely city, I expected not to get a table here. There was a table available in the corner outside, where I enjoyed an Altbier while watching all the people walking past. The service was very fast and staff were very friendly. I enjoyed a very delicious Schweinshaxe with Sauerkraut and my husband enjoyed Bratwurst. Both were served with Bratkartoffeln, which was also delicious. I highly recommend this place, as the food is excellent, staf is really nice, with fast service. Atmosphere sitting outside is enjoyable, even on a very busy Saturday afternoon.

I have come to this place for the last 15 years every time I visit Dusseldorf. The pork Knuckle is fantastic. The taste is so great. The restaurant is small , but fully worth to wait for a table. Fully recommended.

I love this German pork knuckle. It's delicious and not too salty. The skin is crispy. The mashed potatoes are delicious. The sauerkraut is also tasty. The sausage menu is also delicious. If you're visiting Düsseldorf, I recommend you to try it.

A small store in a central part of dusseldorf, selling food for sitting in, or takeaway as a bun with meat. The pork was a bit dry and full of fat, so unfortunately I did not finish my takeaway bun. I will not be back because I didn’t enjoy it. It also misses a sauce of some sort, whether that’s some german mustard, or something else.. something didn’t feel right about the sandwich I ate, despite the fact I added saurkraut (cabbage). I’ll skip this place moving forwards.
Segev H — Google review
This will always be my favorite spot for German food in Düsseldorf. Even though the portion size has gotten a lot smaller over the years but it’s still very good quality!

This restaurant is highly recommended. It is easy to locate within the old town area of Dusseldorf. They offer regional dishes with superb taste. Leberkäse mit Spiegelei und Bratkartoffeln : This is an all-time favorite dish of Germany. The luncheon meat in this restaurant was utterly succulent and crisp. The runny egg yolk made this dish to be more sinful and delightful.

Seafood restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Düsseldorf's Altstadt, Fischhaus is a charming eatery that beautifully marries maritime decor with the ambiance of a classic Parisian bistro. This storied establishment has been delighting seafood lovers for over 120 years, showcasing an impressive array of grilled fish, herring, and enticing seafood platters. With its inviting sidewalk seating and bustling atmosphere, it's no wonder that reservations are recommended to secure a spot at this popular destination.
Our German friends recommended us to visit Seafood restaurants in Dusseldorf, that's why we picked this restaurant with one of the highest rating in town. We have ordered 4 seafood dishes with one seafood soup plus a Riseling. All of them tasted fresh and wonderful plus dining in alfresco area. Definitely worth my 5 stars 🌟 rating!!
Celia C — Google review
The only seafood restaurant on the street, so I chose it for dinner. The place is quite large with plenty of tables, which made it surprising that the hostess tried to seat me uncomfortably close to other guests. The seafood selection is extensive, but the side dishes could be healthier and more varied. I ordered the baked trout, which was served with French fries. I asked for no fries and received fried vegetables instead — mostly overcooked beets. The fish seemed to be fried in batter rather than baked. Under the thick layer of batter (which I didn’t eat), the fish lacked salt and seasoning. It was topped with a portion of tasty garlic butter, but I wasn’t quite sure how to eat it with the dish. Unfortunately, I can’t say I enjoyed my meal. Each guest receives a basket of bread with a spread, so at least I didn’t leave hungry. The most common wine, Sauvignon Blanc, was also disappointing in taste. I would recommend the restaurant to consider adding healthier meals and side options to the menu.
Alla A — Google review
We finally got to try Fischhaus during our visit to Düsseldorf—this spot has been famous in the city for quite some time, and now we understand why! 🐟✨ The seafood was fresh and flavorful, served in generous portions that left us fully satisfied. Whether you’re a seafood lover or just curious to explore a local classic, Fischhaus is a great choice for a solid, no-fuss meal. The downsides were the service was a bit slow and the tables were too close, side by side. It’s easy to see why it’s been a long-standing favorite. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in Düsseldorf and craving good seafood! 🦐🍽️🍷

Fischaus is my favorite restaurant in Duesseldorf, I will come every time when I visit Duesseldorf. Waiter is always nice and good services, not like Zum Schluessel restaurant, they just keep you waiting and not let you in. Fisschaus Oysters are very fresh and taste very good. lobster soup is strong taste and nice favor in your mouth. Seebass is house recommended disch that you cannot miss it. Seebass is their recommended fish dish, skin is crispy but inside is juicy, it is perfectly cooked.

Fischhaus is the best seafood spot in Düsseldorf’s Old Town. It’s always packed – people start lining up around 6 pm, so get there early! As soon as you walk in, you see a huge glass case filled with super-fresh whole fish on ice. Seabass, turbot, dorade, sole… everything looks amazing. The menu is simple and delicious. Fresh fish grilled or pan-fried with potatoes or rice Big bowls of mussels Oysters, lobster, octopus My favorite: the curry rice with shrimp – juicy prawns in a tasty, mild curry sauce Great food, relaxed vibe, and the fish couldn’t be fresher. Highly recommend

The restaurant also offers traditional Japanese hospitality along with its authentic sushi offerings. With its maritime paradise ambiance and upscale submarine decor filled with nautical treasures, Meerbar provides an atmosphere that caters to various tastes and occasions.
What a great place, we ate as a large group mid week. It was a lovely evening the DJ was playing on the terrace and an excellent atmosphere. Drinks order was taken quickly and food order followed, staff were excellent and very helpful on the menu choices. Food was fantastic along with the service, seafood offerings recommend.

Meerbar, Düsseldorf — 3/5 Stylish place, no doubt about it. The interior is sleek and modern, and the atmosphere is great — perfect for a date or a business dinner. The location in Medienhafen adds to the charm, especially at night with the water and city lights. But… the service doesn't quite live up to the vibe. The staff is polite, but not very attentive — I had to repeat my order a couple of times and waiting times were longer than expected. Prices are on the higher side, and while some dishes were really good, others felt pretty average for what you're paying. Wine selection is solid, cocktails are hit or miss. Overall, it’s fine for ticking off the list or going somewhere trendy, but it didn’t leave me wanting to come back. Three stars: for the ambiance, a few standout dishes, and the music. Just didn’t get that “wow” moment.
Jenia B — Google review
Absolutely loved this place! Stylish vibes, amazing food, and top-notch service. The sushi and cocktails were outstanding, and the atmosphere was pure elegance with great energy. Perfect for a night out or a special occasion — MEERBAR never disappoints!
Eleni G — Google review
Great atmosphere, delicious food, but slow and inattentive service — still worth coming back MEERBAR has a truly wonderful atmosphere. It’s vibrant, stylish, and full of energy. Sometimes it gets so crowded that you literally have to squeeze your way between people to move around — but in a way, that’s part of its lively charm. The food is absolutely delicious, and the kitchen is really impressive. The downside is the service: the staff can be inattentive, slow, and often overwhelmed, especially during busy hours. This lack of attention does take away from the overall experience. But honestly, the food and the overall vibe are so good that none of this stops me from returning. I will definitely come back.

I had a reservation here this evening for a special occasion. Unfortunately, upon arrival I was denied entry by the security staff in a very unprofessional and disrespectful manner, due to my work attire. There was no prior notification or mention of any dress code when I made the reservation, and I also noticed other guests wearing similar clothing being allowed inside without issue. What made the experience even worse was that this happened while it was raining, and instead of showing any courtesy, the staff refused entry in a very dismissive way. A restaurant should ensure that any dress code, if enforced, is communicated transparently in advance, applied fairly to all guests, and handled with basic professionalism and respect.

What's Beef is a popular burger joint located on Immermannstrasse in Dusseldorf, known for serving the freshest and best burgers in the city. The urban, American vibe of the place adds to its appeal, making diners feel like they're in the heart of New York City. The restaurant takes pride in offering top-quality burgers made with freshly ground meat and homemade patties and buns.
What’s Beef Burger in Düsseldorf is hands down one of the best burger spots I’ve been to. The beef is juicy, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor, with buns that are soft yet hold everything together. The sides and sauces complement the burgers really well, and the whole vibe of the place is modern and welcoming. A must-visit if you’re craving a proper burger in Düsseldorf!

The fries are a little too oily, unfortunately! And their texture is too dry.. and of course they’re not natural (frozen one, but bad quality). The price it’s a little bit too high for the quality they have, and you have to order at the bar they’re not coming to take your order on the table. Burger is good, standard, but nothing special. The outdoor seating is perfect for enjoying the warm German climate, and the highchairs are available for children. There's also wheelchair access, so those with mobility issues can still enjoy the meal.
Honestly… AS GOOD AS THE REVIEWS SAY. Great food, nice atmosphere, dog friendly. My husband had schnitzel - go for the small one, it’s massive! I had Provençal fish soup and curry wurst. Every bit worth the money.
Elele — Google review
A place full of locals, hence a fast-running queue. The recipes look like they have been on the menu for ages. For my taste, the plates were salty. The portions are generous. No AC in the inside area and could get noisy when full. I enjoyed the experience however won’t make it for the second time.
Zuhal — Google review
I only went there because the braised pork looked great but apparently they rotate their menu from time to time. So it wasn't on the menu. So i settled for a sausage and their signature fish soup with all of their mini desserts. Fish soup: very unique and flavorful very good combination with the paste and bread. Sausage: Nothing ordinary, the sauce was kinda sweet not to taste. Dessert: presentation was good, looked pretty. Taste wise it was very ordinary. Service: Servers are very attentive, but kinda rushed, always on edge, bit quirky, didn't feel very comfortable. All that took around 45€ and it was cheap because sausage was the most cheap one. For one time experience I'd say okayish. But not really up to expectations.

Cafe Buur is a trendy cafe located in Dusseldorf, offering a vibrant brunch and lunch menu along with an array of smoothies and coffee. The cafe's quirky decor features vintage coffee grinders and hanging coffee cups, creating a unique and cozy atmosphere for visitors to enjoy. Known for its delicious and visually appealing dishes, the menu includes both sweet options like Cookie Dough as well as savory breakfast items such as eggs with salmon or Sucuk, Hummus, and Olives.
Great spot for breakfast and brunch with a diverse and creative menu! They offer something for everyone - from sweet pancakes and healthy bowls to savory cast iron skillets, Eggs Benedict, and fun twists like mac and cheese topped with BBQ ribs. The tropical fruit pancakes were light, fluffy, and generously topped with fresh fruit and earthy maple syrup. The menemen pan was a standout: soft scrambled eggs cooked with peppers and onions, served alongside thick yogurt and pide bread - flavorful and comforting. Drinks were equally well-crafted, from coffees to homemade drinks. Service was impressively friendly and efficient. Our group of six had all our food and drinks served within 10 minutes. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. The restaurant itself is quite small and inside it feels a bit stuffy and tight. Ventilators would go along way. Highly recommended for a relaxed yet satisfying brunch - just make sure to book ahead if you're going on the weekend!

Bar Olio is a trendy restaurant located in a former gate block on the disused railway shunting yards, just north of the city center. The area is undergoing redevelopment, so it can get quite lively due to the lack of other establishments nearby. However, for those seeking a quieter experience, there's a charming garden with ample seating available. The restaurant offers familiar pasta dishes as well as seafood and steak plates.

From the oysters to the main dish, everything was perfectly fresh and flavorful. The grilled octopus with black rice and vegetables was incredibly tender and full of character, beautifully presented and cooked to perfection.
Suiara P — Google review
We arrived at 6pm . I know it is a popular place with a great garden atmosphere and no reservations by phone/ web, so on weekends, expect to wait 2,5hours to be shown to a table to eat. If you are lucky, you can spend that time at a small table with a drink, but depending on the season, it can be cold. They did not take us to a table in the restaurant because the space was too small for 6 persons. . There are separate restrooms for men and women, but only one for each, The trash can was not cleaned regularly, and there were hand towels scattered all over the box. The toilet paper was empty, so I told the elderly woman who seemed to be the manager there, and the employee replenished 5 or 6 pieces.
Macaron — Google review
The food was great. But you are sitting basically on a parkplatz. There were many dogs, which we like. But service for me defined a new low that I haven’t experienced anywhere in Germany. Except for one very nice guy nobody seemed to care one bit about anything at all, arbitrary rules such as a kitchen close for 1.5 hours were not communicated, we required to be relocated without any explanation. And not to mention the queue and the way it is dealt with. Around the corner there are at least 3 places with equal food and much better service.
Stef J — Google review
Had absolutely the best night here. Top restaurant. Can't say enough about the staff, every interaction was sincere and cosy. The food was mind-blowing. Great fusion cuisine, stuff that will keep you talking long after. Beautiful inside and out. Homely yet high class feeling. Such a unique location, absolutely love it.

People who leave bad reviews for Bar Olio must have absolutely no idea what good food really is. This is one of the most amazing restaurants in Düsseldorf. A place where every dish bursts with flavor and quality. The menu changes often, which makes every visit a new experience, but the standard is always sky-high. The ingredients are fresh, the combinations creative, and the execution flawless. You can really taste the love and passion that go into the cooking. The atmosphere is casual yet vibrant, the service is friendly, and there’s just something special about the energy here. It’s one of those rare places that feels both effortless and exceptional at the same time. If you appreciate real, high-quality food made with skill and soul, Bar Olio is a must.
Daleya M — Google review
Just happened to go there accidently. The food was good and so was the service. Crowd was pretty chilled too. Just that I found it over priced cause we paid €200 + for 2 people. For the rates I'd expect either better quality or more quantity.
Abhishek J — Google review
I'm delighted to give Bar Olio a well-deserved 5-star rating. The quality of the food was truly outstanding. Every dish we tried was prepared to perfection, showcasing the culinary expertise of the kitchen. But what made our dining experience even more memorable was the staff. They were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. Their professionalism and warmth added to the overall appeal of the restaurant. The ambiance of Bar Olio was also noteworthy. The place was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it a perfect spot for a pleasant dining experience. In conclusion, Bar Olio offers a combination of great food, excellent service, and a comfortable atmosphere. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch Italian dining experience in Düsseldorf.

Le Flair, Düsseldorf » (Last) visit: April 2024 » Total score: 3.9/5 – satisfactory to good. » In a nutshell: I found that most dishes tasted very good, but for the first amuse, which I found flat / meaningless and for a pasta dish, which I found single-sided / unharmonious. In my opinion, the food was largely bistro level rather than gourmet level. I found most wines very good. In my opinion, the portions were almost all (slightly) too large, especially the amuses and a pasta dish. 1|107|62 ===== My ratings for this gourmet restaurant in detail: ●● Service – 4.5/5 – good to very good: ● Hospitality, friendliness, obligingness, etc.: 4.5/5 ● Atmosphere, temper, facilitation, etc.: 4.4/5 ●● Food – 3.6/5 – satisfactory: ● Flavors (range, depth, composition, harmony/balance, etc.): 4.3/5 ● Level (thoroughness, craftsmanship, originality, exclusivity, variety of impressions, consistency/diversity, etc.): 2.9/5 ● Choices: 3.9/5 ●● Beverages, mainly the wines – 4.7/5 – very good: ● Taste (depth/range, length, complexity, balance, accessibility, elegance, intensity/subtlety, etc.): 4.7/5 ● Level (variety/novelty of impressions, consistency/diversity, exclusivity, etc.): 4.6/5 ● Did the beverages (mainly the wines) match the dishes?: 4.7/5 ● Choices: 4.3/5 ●● Presentation of the food – 3.4/5 – sufficient to satisfactory: ● Textures and (differences in) temperatures: 3.8/5 ● Colors and decorations: 3.6/5 ● Timing and sequencing as well as sizes of portions: 3.4/5 ● Special effects (positionings, DIY-effects, sculptural or thematic elements, surprises, color and motion effects, fake effects, olfactory effects, fog or smoke effects, etc.): 2.9/5 ● Procedures at and around the table (attunements and explanations, elements added/changed, service and staffing intensity, involvement of kitchen team, orchestrated dish presentations, preparations and dishes (partially) built up at the table, etc.): 3.5/5 ●● Presentation of beverages, mainly the wines – 4.5/5 – good to very good: ● Procedures at and around the table (explanations and attunements, etc.): 4.7/5 ● Quantities poured as well as timing in relation to the dishes: 4.2/5 ●● Premises and location – 4.0/5 – still good: ● Accessibility, surroundings and - as applicable - the view: 3.7/5 ● How did I like the room or - as applicable - outdoor area’s style, decor and atmosphere?: 4.6/5 ● Well-being (space, privacy, temperature, ventilation/odors, lighting, soundscape, sanitary facilities, etc.): 3.9/5 ●● Price – 3.3/5 – sufficient: ● Price-performance ratio for food: 2.5/5 ● Price-performance ratio for wines and other beverages: 3.1/5 ● Price transparency and correspondence of the expected to the actual price (simple, complete and unambiguous price information on the restaurant's website and in the menu, etc.): 4.6/5

High quality food, good service and ambience. A bit pricey for the food, though, but given its Michelin status, understandable.

Main comment: “better than expected”. Came to the restaurant for the Michelin one star rating, left with exceeded satisfaction. The service was heartfelt and flexible. We exchanged some courses of the normal menu with ones from veggie menu, had both wine and alcohol-free pairing and added a cheese plate. Fine dining lies on the details. Warm courses came on warm plates, each course was well seasoned and flavor/source was on point. The selection of wine pairing was also interesting, fit to food and overall covered a wide spectrum of palate. Probably will come to try new menu here when visit Düsseldorf again.

Having been to quite a number of fine-dining restaurants, this one fell a little short on a couple of criteria but is very nice and highly recommended. Therefore, I give a 5-star rating but will share my criticism as I would like to experience it again. Le Flair has a contemporary setting but the chairs were a little more minimalistic than comfortable 😅 (considering a dinner lasts nearly 3 hours). The restaurant is definitely chic, not overcrowded, appreciative of privacy and provides an interesting and very innovative menu. Huge compliments to the staff who were very attentive, knowledgeable and professional. I personally like their casual style, e.g. the waiters wear modern sneakers and jeans. Le Flair creates a memorable dining experience, that is for sure. Food-wise: last 3 courses were just excellent but I wasn’t impressed with the Amuse Bouche and the Hamachi. I would advise the owners to strengthen the entries a little more, so visitors remember every step of the way. As to culinary artistry - just perfect, the fusion of flavors in many of the dishes is exquisite! One more negative comment: the cappuccino was awfully hot, very foamy and definitely not up to the standard of a high-end coffee drink. Espresso was bled a little longer which obviously resulted in more acidity and bitterness. My suspicion is that the coffee machine might have been automatic or not of high quality.

Had an absolutely perfect meal here for our wedding anniversary! We went with the 5 course menu without cheese. Every course was so on point in terms of freshness, flavour, textures and presentation. We also had the gin and tonic aperitifs and a sweet and dry riesling recommended by the sommelier. Highly recommend this place for a relaxed, romantic night out. Well deserved Michelin star to Le Flair!

As we all know, going to restaurants during these time is impossible. So, for hubby's birthday we opted for the Le Flair Home package, and let me tell you... it was just perfect. I wasn't that convinced at first because you know its a Michelin star resto.. how can we possibly re-create this experience at home? Well with the instructions given and the packaging we were able to easily do so. We know our way around the kitchen but you really don't have to in order to enjoy this dinner. I highly recommend this. I even hope Le Flair Restaurant keeps this service going even after quarantine. As new parents, finding time for a date night is not so easy to do.

If I could give no stars, I absolutely would. We walked in and asked for a table for two. The waitress rudely said just pick a table. Fair enough, we don't know the system here, so maybe that's why she was rude. We seated, and she came and basically threw the menu at us. Later, she came back to the table and grunted at us. So with that, I asked, "Do you speak English, or do I need to get my translator out?" She grunted and walked away. She arrived back at the table; I again asked, "Do you speak English to which she said no. So I spoke into my translator, asked a question, and turned the phone to her for her to see what it said in German. At this point, she walked away without even looking at the translator. Later, she came back to the table to take our order. I opened my translator, and she just pushed it away from me and asked what we wanted. We placed our order. She later came and dumped our drinks down, which were only half full. Our food was launched at us. My sons curry sauce nearly spilt onto his lap, and she threw the plate at him. I asked for condiments, and she just walked away. I followed her and asked in front of other staff and her answer was I gave them to you. I said you did not check the table. Other people on other tables looked at her at this point, and she handed me the condiments and said thank you but then threw me the worst look ever. She then continued to give me horrible looks throughout the whole time we ate our meal. A different gentleman came to take our plates away. He asked my son if his was OK but ignored me. I asked for the bill and also said the lady was rude and needed better customer service skills. He did not even allow me to finish my sentence before walking away. He came back, gave the bill to my son, and didn't look at me once. Yet the lady waitress was still walking around, giving me horrible looks at every opportunity she had. Overall... No, I would not recommend it. Food was basic. Customer service was absolutely diabolical. We also witnessed her be rude to the Chinese family on the table nest to us. So my guess is.. Maybe they don't like tourists?!? Oh, and the toilets.. What an experience. I am not one to take my phone to the toilet but did feel like going back to take a snap. The smell was so bad in there that once you had been in, you needed to leave the place immediately to get the smell from your nose. Had I gone into the toilets before eating, I can rest assured I would have left immediately.

Not all restaurants are fancy or instagrammable. Sometimes you just need something to satiate your hunger, in a place that doesn’t readily offer up filling choices. Finding myself with a wait at Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof, I wanted a little more than a Pret to eat. I wandered around and stumbled on Restaurant Zum Schiffchen; an old fashioned railway station restaurant cum tavern, serving (as my mum would say) proper meals on proper plates. Is this the best place to eat in Düsseldorf? Maybe not, but when you’re heading out and stuck in the station with a hunger, this is a great option. The ingredients are decent. The food is well cooked and served with a smile… even if your German is not perfect. I only mark down the food because the burger was a little too greasy, and the atmosphere suffered as the place was quiet and there was no music or ambience to give the space some energy. But again, if you’re waiting for the ICE and want a proper meal… this is a good spot.

Food was below average. We got cheated on the beer. 🍺 I found it rude to say that the beer was full due to foam. Very unprofessional. The restaurant had in total around 8 customers, yet the toilet looked like super dirty. Are you really that busy that you can’t clean the toilet at least once a day? Total 1.5 stars

Our second visit to this restaurant/bar the first vist some months ago the waitress was very rude-on this second visit the staff were most pleasant and smiled. We ordered food and drinks-service was friendly and quick. The food was simple but nice and seemed like it was cooked fresh. Would visit again and would recommend

It’s the best place at Düsseldorf Railway Station 🚉 to have lunch! Honestly, it’s just way better than to go to Mac Donald’s or something. Freshly prepared, warm traditional German food. Simple and delicious 🤤 I had two portions of that soup just because it reminded me of some homemade soup I had in my childhood. Absolutely best experience on my way in Germany 🇩🇪❤️

King Fusion is a stylish restaurant located on the outskirts of Little Tokyo in Dusseldorf, offering high-quality Asian fusion cuisine. The team brings over 15 years of expertise in culinary arts, reflected in their creative Asian tapas, delicious sushi, and classic cocktails. The menu features a diverse range of dishes including steak frites, sashimi, and an array of Asian tapas without geographical limitations.
My family and I visited King Fusion restaurant for the first time, and OMG, the flavours were incredible! Everything we ordered was so fresh. I always make a point of visiting Pan-Asian restaurants whenever we travel, as we absolutely love the food, and this one is definitely a must-visit when you're in Düsseldorf. The ceviche was amazing, the Wagyu beef was superb, and the sushi was fresh, melting in your mouth with all the flavours. The king prawn curry – oh la la! It was truly a fantastic experience, and the prices were very reasonable, not exorbitant. The desserts were also fantastic. The ambiance and the restaurant’s décor were chic and lovely. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention, the staff were extremely friendly and spoke English. The charming, funny robot waiter was an adorable touch!

Great music and nice trendy decor. The food was OK, a little expensive and just OK. The entrecote, ordered medium, had a good cuisson. The taste however was really bland, and it seems as if is pressed on the grill so it became a little dry. The octopus dish was OK, could use less sauce. The mango sorbet is my favourite. All other dishes were just OK, some too dry.

One of the best Asian meals I’ve ever had! Everything was super delicious with beautifully elegant plating. The vegetable tempura and karegadon are absolute must-tries! 🎌 We were celebrating a birthday, and they even treated us to a matcha tiramisu, such a kind and thoughtful gesture! Can’t wait to come back next time. See you soon! 🙏🥰

This restaurant has set the bar high. The waiters are all so kind and their recomendations were really good, we tried gyozas, spring rolls, fried rice, crispy chicken, beef chips, wagyu noodles, mango sticky rice. They were all so good ( just the wagyu noodles needed a better sauce) and portions were large. The prices were reasonable. The interior was decorated really cozy. Recommend!!!

King Fusion is a fantastic highlight for exploring diverse flavors in a tapas-style format. I sampled octopus, chicken, edamame, ceviche, gyozas, spring rolls, and makis—each dish was impressive, with the octopus and rolls standing out. The ambiance is stylish yet cozy, with pleasant music that doesn’t overpower conversation. Service was swift, and the drinks were great. Definitely a recommended place to explore culinary variety.

Nestled in the heart of Düsseldorf, ROCAILLE - Café, Patisserie, Bistrot & WineBar is a culinary gem that beautifully marries French and Tuscan influences. This stylish eatery boasts an impressive selection of over 1,000 wines curated by owner Michael Spreckelmeyer, featuring rare German Rieslings and unique natural wines that will delight any wine enthusiast. The menu showcases seasonal dishes crafted with care alongside delectable pastries created by chef patissiere Alexandra.
Had a really delightful evening meal here on Halloween evening. The waitress provided excellent service. She seemed to genuinely care that we were having a good meal experience. We were a table for four. We tried the mixed starter, which was delicious. Everyone was impressed with their main course, and the desserts were equally impressive. A very extensive wine selection. I can definitely recommend the Cremant.

The Rocaille definitely has a lot of charm and is a very nice location to spend a long, tasteful Saturday night at. Staff is friendly and attentive but could know a few more things about the menu / wine list. Unfortunately, the food and wine availability is what pulls this place a little bit. It is said to have the largest wine menu but most of the bottles are not available when requested. The food is okay but nothing exceptional and does not fully hold true on the French concept. All in all, would go again if the instance occurs but wouldn’t actively seek out

The atmosphere is great & drinking mainly magnum bottles is certainly CO2 conscious. The starter was amazing, as was the Beef Bulgogi my partner had (we saw a Korean cook in the kitchen, maybe that’s why). My curry ended up having mushrooms (maybe because of the Asian cook, they like to add it to all dishes as a bonus without asking) in it that don’t belong in a curry and I have a mushroom allergy. Luckily I noticed it very early. The one spoon I did have was a bit tasteless for a curry (and didn’t have a great night tossing & turning because of the mushrooms - luckily only minor effect with one spoon). Maybe only put curry on the menu if you have an Indian Cook as well… the dessert was not very inspiring or tasty. A simple apology would have been okay, but for the host to make a serious allergy into the running gag of the rest of the evening was really not called for. It could have turned out much worse for me.

I went to this place for afternoon snack. the restaurant was so amazing that i would definitely try it for main-course in the coming future. (Will try to update you guys) Food, dessert, and coffee was amazing; as well as the ambience. Definitely worth the try. 100% recommend. 👍🏼 Adding to my comment after a year: Tried this place for main course and it was splendid, as expected. The food was super tasty and delicious. And the straff were super friendly and professional. Again 100% recommend.

One my forever favorite places in Düsseldorf with which I have love-hate relationships: depending on the day you visit and food you order it is either amazing or disappointing. They have also become a bit overpriced. The time it was love: delicious plate with a variety of French cheeses and sausage with potatoes and vegetables. Our waitress was a new blond girl and she was very friendly. BTW - the desserts are always amazing and their macarons are definitely the best in Düsseldorf and they have very nice coffee too.

We made a reservation and we were offered a menu combination which we didn't confirm because it was way to expensive, especially because nonn of us drink wine (85€). Once we arrived, we were obligated to take the menu, i.e. we were not allowed to order alla cart because we were 9 people. After a heated discussion with the boss, we agreed to a menu at a lower price without the wine. After two and a half hours we had been served only the appetizers! I have two kids at home and I would have liked to leave at that point, but it was like a hostage situation, I couldn't leave because we were obligated to pay for the menu experience. Ober 50€ for just the appetizers seemed a bit too much. Long story short, after 4 hours we got to desert. And the food wasn't even that good. Too salty, too spicy, the desert waaaaay too swet. Very little vegetarian alternatives, no vegan. Three stars for the esthetics and quantities.

Nestled along the picturesque banks of the Rhine River, Parlin | Essen und Weinbar is a delightful fusion of French and German culinary traditions. This charming establishment boasts an elegant ambiance highlighted by its stunning original stucco ceiling, creating a sophisticated dining experience. The menu features classic yet approachable French dishes alongside a diverse selection of around 300 wines primarily from Germany and France, ensuring that every palate is catered to.
Sadly, you are a little late to enjoy this place, as they closed on the 29 of December 2024 - but you are right on time to learn about what separates a good restaurant from a great one. As someone who lives in the area, I walked past this place frequently. Every single time Beata and Robert greeted me with a friendly wave. On those days I worked far too late, had a bad mood, needed some quiet time, or got drenched in hydraulic fluid by my car, they were there for me and made sure I got a hot meal, a great wine, and felt like someone wanted to take care of me. Needless to say, all the other days I was feeling good and decided to drop by were absolutely wonderful. The food was delicious, their service was sincere, and the atmosphere magical. My favorite dish was their 'Wiener Schnitzel', paired with one of Robert's favorite wines. What set this place apart however, was the fact that you always felt like you were eating with friends. Few places manage to give you this feeling.

Very attentive service and amazing food! Creative starters and very soft and juicy lamb and chicken. Great idea to have some seats at the counter to see the cooks in action, however, the counter seats were very chaotic and did not look ready to receive guests but more like a place to keep wine glasses, menus and salt & pepper. That was quite a pity but overall very nice experience. It would be great if Lido could improve the counter seat ambience.

The restaurant has a special atmosphere if a former art gallery. The food is creative and fine, the kitchen is open.

Situated in a great location, within walking distance to many businesses, Lido Malkasten is a good restaurant for both private and business dinners. The outdoor seating can be very pleasant when the weather allows, and is (only partially though) covered with a canopy. The food is decent (especially the tuna starter and the cheesecake dessert), although the wait time is quite long and the selection not very diverse (only 1 choice of fish main, and only 3 desserts). The toilets are fine, although not the most convenient (push taps and use of hand driers instead of paper towels). Overall though, a positive experience and I would be happy to return.

The food is really mediocre for the price. There were rotten Salat on the beef tartare, the waiter just kept his eye closed when we picked it out put it in the middle of the plate. I don't really understand the good rating, for me the only nice thing is the location. Never again!

Sushi restaurant
Nagomi is a Japanese restaurant located in the station district, offering an authentic izakaya-style dining experience. The simple and contemporary setting attracts both locals and Japanese expats, with 80% of the patrons being Japanese. The menu features a variety of traditional Japanese dishes such as sushi, sashimi, noodles, and even delicacies like foie gras served with tender miso sauce.
Sushi were incredibly good, very fresh, tuna was melting in the mouth. Tempura vegetables are also good, tempura shrimps were too fat to my taste. The atmosphere was the same as in Japan, authentic and simple.
Maria E — Google review
Seated at the bar since I was dining here solo on a Thursday evening. Friendly staff and it was spacious enough for me. The sushi here is indeed amazing, I ordered mixed sushi (#5) and I enjoyed every single one of them. I paired it with Japanese beer, and I was happy. As extras I've also ordered edamame and fried sardines. I think those were a little overpriced for the portion that you get.
JP F — Google review
Nagomi in Little Tokyo was amazing the food was as close as it gets to what you’d find in Tokyo. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the special menu featured uni and many seasonal items. The sashimi, toro, and otoro were outstanding. The only downside was that the restaurant felt a bit too warm, which is why I rated it 4 stars overall. But purely for the food, it deserves 6 stars.
Stavros K — Google review
Summary of my visit to Nagomi in one sentence: „Easily Top 10% quality sushi in Europe, to which I would probably never return.“ Highly probably anyone living in Europe wouldnt find this quality sushi anywhere outside of Düsseldorf. Good shari (rice) and good neta (fish). Though the quality of Shari is different every plate you order. Shimesaba (makerel) definitely was my favorite, we had sashimi, nigiri and battera version of it and all three were great. Ebi Tempura was ok, natto was not good, foie gras with daikon was just ok for me (but my friends found it great), otoro nigiri (6,5€/pc) was obviously unbelievably good (shari was at its best when we ordered extra single nigiris), agedashi tofu was ok, sake we had was mediocre but obviously these are very personal opinions. Service all in all was all fine, but we are also very tolerant because we all come from same industry. Then why only two stars… I reserved the table about 2 weeks prior, but the table we got was no joke the worst one they had in the restaurant. The door was literally 20 cm right of me when i sat at the table. (So please avoid this table at all cost if you can.) But if the restaurant is that busy and if thus that table was the only table they could offer, thats just the way it is. BUT while we were there, literally the table next to us was free well until after we left, a group of 10 guests walked in without reservation, they got tables in the liddle of the restaurant that was the most ridiculous part of our visit. But wait it gets better. Our reservation was 18:30 we arrived 18:20. we left the restaurant at 19:54 so technically we stayed for 90 minutes. Three of us spent 270€ (incl. 20€ tip). After I paid with long delay (the manager had to type in every single bill upon request because they work only manually with paper 🤷🏻‍♂️) he rushed to my table where my friends were luterally getting ready to leave, and asked them if we were done, and if yes we should leave because next guests were waiting. We were literally standing up and leaving when he had to come across so rudly and requested us to stand up and leave. I mean…. Why would anyone do that.. I was so embarassed, my friends were so pissed to be treated like that after spending 270€ for dinner for 3 which durated 90 minutes. 90 minutes of hard work done by the kitchen staff, service staff down the drain by one managerial staff in 30 seconds. Thats naturally gifted talent, please stay away from this industry. In summary, Go to a different japanese restaurant called Yabase which is even better and i have been there numerous times and never had bad experiences. Nagomi would be only an option for someone looking for quality food on a sunday or a monday or when you cant get a table at Yabase. As far as I am concerned, I am not returning, ever again.

Staudi's Restaurant offers a delightful experience of modern German cuisine set in a charming atmosphere that was once an old butcher shop. With its antique tiled floors and tasteful decor, the restaurant serves innovative takes on traditional dishes like kale, potato pancakes, and schnitzel. Guests can indulge in either a 5- or 7-course dinner while enjoying fine wines and warm hospitality under candlelight.
Had a wonderful evening with amazing food. We found Staudi’s off the Michelin Guide looking specifically for vegetarian options. We chose the 6 course option, (would say that’s the best choice if you want to feel full afterwards). The entrees and main did not disappoint and offered dishes that had new and interesting tastes to explore. We also chose the recommended wine bottle for the menu. Overall we liked all the dishes with the exception of the dessert (overwhelmingly sweet), which is a bit of a bummer since it didn’t end with a bang. Service was great and we got all the explanations in english ☺️

My wife and I had a Wedding Anniversary dinner and the team of Staudi made the dinner really special. Since the cocktail to the food and wine recommendation, everything was excellent. Our waiter was explaining us in detail the dishes and was really kind and professional. Great discovery! We are just waiting for the new menu to test it. Thanks and congratulations. Fernando

Only eight best vegetarian menus in Germany were named by the Michelin Guide amongst which Staudi’s Restaurant is the only one without a Michelin star (yet). The menu was delicious and full of taste sensations and demonstrated that you can enjoy the full taste with vegetarian options. We also chose the accompanying wine menu and wine and dishes complemented each other in a fabulous way. 5 stars from our side.

We had an amazing experience with wonderful food and a very good service. It was the perfect kick off for a weekend get away in Dusseldorf. I would highly recommend to everyone that loves amazing food and great .

The restaurant is beautiful, the food was delicious & staff was more than amazing! We ordered a la carte, but will definitely come back to try the 5 course option! Our food was delicious and drinks were also really nice! Thank you for making our first visit so special and we are looking forward to the next one!

For this price I was expecting a refined cuisine, with subtly balanced flavors. It was not the case. Out of 5 dishes, 2 were heavily salty (we could not taste anything else). The wine was mediocre at best. Expected better for 15€ a glass. I don’t know if we came on a bad evening (this can happen) or if it is the regular level of food. If you’re used to (or expect) Michelin star level food, you should skip it.

The Paradise Now is a trendy spot located in Dusseldorf's harbor area, popular with locals and social media influencers. The ambiance is a mix of Miami Vice, 80s flair, and tropical vibes with hanging rattan chandeliers and a cool waterfall behind the bar. During the day, it's quiet, but at night it transforms into a bustling hub of restaurants, bars, and clubs reminiscent of New York or Singapore.
We had an amazing dining experience here! Every dish was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The place itself is stunning — warm, cozy, and tastefully decorated. Highly recommend!

-Restaurant decoration style is nice. -Food is so so -Almost all white seats are so dirty -No service or bad service, at least waited half an hour no person come for check up or payment. Especially the first time I experienced in Germany add the tips without telling the customer and do not want to give the receipt -Many customers take pictures with flash for at least one hour….

An unforgettable experience! We had dinner here with a large group of friends and everything was simply exceptional. From the elegant ambiance and stylish decor to the top-tier service and incredible food, every detail was spot on. The dishes were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious—clearly crafted with creativity and care. Cocktails were also a highlight! The staff was professional, friendly, and very attentive, even with a big table like ours. We felt truly welcomed and pampered throughout the night. This place is more than just a restaurant—it’s a whole experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a special night out in Düsseldorf.

What started as a quick, spontaneous lunch turned into a full-on foodie afternoon. My girlfriend and I just wanted a bite, but the "Spaghetti AOP mit Filetspitzen" was so good we couldn’t stop. Perfectly cooked pasta, juicy filet slices, a hint of chili .... and that egg on top sealed the deal!!! 🍝🔥 Then came the "Club Sandwich mit Süßkartoffel-Frites" ... thick, crispy toast, layers of fresh veggies, bacon, chicken … everything you want in a proper club. The sweet potato fries were crispy and addictive, especially with the dip. 🥪🍠 The service was super friendly ... hmmm could’ve been a bit more reactive at times but still very kind and welcoming. The weather could’ve been more forgiving but the sunny terrace still made it a great place to hang out.

Paradise Now truly lives up to its name. The cocktails are creative and perfectly crafted, the service is outstanding, and the vibe transitions effortlessly from upscale dining to lively club scene. The truffle pasta was absolutely incredible — rich, flavorful, and unforgettable. Whether you’re out for dinner or a night of dancing, this place delivers on all fronts. Highly recommend!

Edit: 3rd time: Food was a little disappointed this time. The starters were tasty (Ceviche and grilled scallops). Our server told us not to choose the ceviche because of the bad smell and he was right. It has a strong fish sauce smell. It still tasted good but the less is more in this case ;) The entrecôte was a disappointing since the meat quality was not super for a restaurant like Paradise now. The meat was tasteless. The miso eggplant was okay. Nothing special to be honest. The bolognese was the best main dish this time. For dessert we ordered the paradise apple again (still really good) and the buckwheat panna cotta with matcha ice cream. The panna cotta was not good since it was very stiff. So not recommend this dessert. We went here for the atmosphere and vibe which is still great. Hopefully the next menu will be better. 2nd time here and the food was still very good. They change the menu from time to time which is great. It was a bit difficult for my friend who is allergic to dairy to ask what she can eat and what not. Other than that we had a great night here! 1st time: We had a great night at Paradise Now! The vibe was really good. The DJ was good and many people were at the bar. We went to the restaurant and had a great dinner. All dishes were tasty and the service was really attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back for dinner.

Had my friend's birthday dinner there in late October. From service to food, everything in the restaurant was great. For the amount of work and people that were present in the location, you cannot feel that anything was missing. The service especially from the bar to the restaurant was really attentive. The drinks were tasty and had a good price point. The portions of food was just right and good balance of flavours. Had the beef tartare and risotto and everything was delicious.

It is a nice place, with DJ music in the background. Service was lovely, even though our reservation was placed on a different date... they make fine cocktails, and the bartenders doing great job. Yet can't say the same regarding the food. Small portions (for what one pays) and the quality was not high. Slightly disappointing.

Vietnamese restaurant
The Phoenix Restaurant offers traditional Vietnamese cuisine in a simple dining area, along with a small outdoor seating section. The Dreischeibenhaus building serves as a testament to the postwar era and seamlessly accommodates this restaurant. Chef Philipp Wolter draws inspiration from French influences to create his dishes. Patrons can expect great food, reasonable prices, and a charming atmosphere. The owners of the establishment are genuinely good-hearted individuals who strive to make a living through their business.
Restaurant was quite empty (in terms of guests) when we arrived, but lots of people seemed to have ordered for takeout. Food was amazing, very tasty and arrived quite quickly. Service was fantastic- our waiter was very polite and had a lot of patience (our German isn't too good). Good price-quality ratio.

Won’t recommend it or visit here again after last visit. Since I found in my noodles a plastic thread and there was a very casual and cold behaviour by restaurant as if it’s normal and you can continue eating it’s nothing. All in all taste is okay but of no use when such incidents happen but services are not good.
Pree — Google review
Excellent food. Tipp: a more elevated customer experience could be created through bottled drinks and a better menu.

I visited this restaurant 20 years ago when it was an indo-china restaurant and it was better then. The Pho i had (Sat midday, beef) was good and I would have it again but this restaurant is lacking some 'spice' in the style department. My partner ate a vegetarian curry which was also nice, but not over exciting. Given the quality of asian food in Düsseldorf in general, this place is going to need to up it's game.

Pretty average food. Would have given it two stars but the lady in the service was nice and friendly. She was working alone and barely could handle the guests.

Nestled within the beautifully renovated Steigenberger Parkhotel in Düsseldorf, Pink Pepper Bar is a culinary gem that opened its doors in early 2022. Under the expert guidance of renowned chef Benjamin Kriegel and his wife Ramona, this restaurant has quickly gained attention for its sophisticated dining experience. The ambiance is a delightful blend of elegance and warmth, featuring soft colors and tastefully arranged tables that set the stage for an unforgettable meal.
Wonderful cousine. No-one will be disappointed. Service is discrete and quick.

The restaurant offered a charming setting, good food and attentive staff. However, the intervals between courses could have been shorter. I would also not recommend this place for larger groups, as the atmosphere was more formal and rigid. As a lively party of 9, we found it challenging to freely engage without disrupting other diners.
Joann L — Google review
Place is great, service is great but cocktail is subpar. For the price I was hoping to get my mind blown but it wasn’t the case. Mezcal old fashioned called CCC-old fashioned was pretty washed down and couldn’t even taste the mezcal. Do it if you’re into the “insta-influencer” place… if you’re into a mixologist vibe you’ll find better luck in Texas. Literally.

Had to reserve by phone and they didn't write down our reservation. The guy sounded really hurried already, but was glad to have a booking 2 weeks in advance. Upon arrival me and my daughter were sent away without any help ( no suggestions for other places, no compensation, no small table in the corner, and mostly no belief I actually had made a reservation). I real pity as we planned the weekend around this.

Nestled in the vibrant Unterbilk district of Düsseldorf, noa Foodbar is a culinary treasure that has been delighting locals since 2017. This charming eatery, located on Martinstrasse and just a stone's throw from the bustling Lorettostrasse, offers an ever-evolving menu that beautifully marries oriental and Asian influences with fresh, locally sourced ingredients—many of which are grown by nearby farms.
It is definitely the best bar in Düsseldorf if you’re looking for a chill-vibe bar for a talk with your nearest. And the homemade gnocchi is by far the best I had for sure.

Early June 2023: Been wanting to try noa Foodbar for awhile now as a friend recommended it. It has a small menu which makes it easy for ordering and I would say the food doesn't disappoint. They're great at integrating textures but found that I was missing a punch of flavour in some fo the dishes. Overall, noa serves a well-balanced, enjoyable meal with fun cocktails! Ambience is intimate and romantic, perfect for date nights. Keen to revisit when they change their menu!
Bee N — Google review
I’m a fussy so and so. It takes a lot to really impress me. Nine times out of ten I prefer my own cooking just because. So when I say Noa is great believe me. Maybe it’s not for you. It was for me. I really just wanted to eat all the starters. The steak tartar was perfectly executed but the real revelation was the the tempura asparagus. I could have eaten my own body weight in tempura green asparagus, failed an LD 50 test and died happy. I really didn’t think it was possible to improve on regular asparagus with butter, lemon and a grind of pepper but apparently it is. Now I’m going to have to figure out how to do this at home and that’s the rest of my life accounted for right there. Sigh. We also had main courses. There was pork belly from a pig for whom body shaming had had no effect. This was a pig who had squelched around in a tutu and really gave zero [insert word the app doesn’t like]s. It was basically a cube of pork fat with the occasional glimpse of pink. Served with black sticky rice and mushroom purée it was joyous. Lastly ravioli. My partner, the piglet, had convinced herself it would be a small dish because… because whenever she orders ravioli she gets served three. Four if she’s lucky. Hahahahahaha. I pointed out that this is Germany. I got her to look over her shoulder at the man mountain sitting behind her. There arrived a small armada of ravioli swimming in a sea of cream. If we hadn’t eaten them lord only knows what they would have gotten up to. As for dessert, you’re kidding, right? We’d had a long walk to the restaurant and we had a long walk home, but it was a happy one. It may not have nixed all those calories but at worst I’ll end up like that pig in a tutu. But possibly not on anyone’s plate.

A bit hit-and-miss. Wine list is impressive, we loved the bottle the waitress chose for us upon recommendation. Service is good. Presentation of the food is excellent. Responses to the food itself, however, were quite mixed in our group - some dishes were really lovely and others were a little more experimental and the flavours didn't quite work together. Having said that, this place has a changing menu, so our experience shouldn't dictate others, and I actually would come back here again, to try other things :)

Nice Restaurant with nice atmosphere and furniture. Small menue with interesting variations and nice choice of drinks. Although space for improvement- music didn’t fit to the place, stuff was a bit unfriendly but in the end okay with a little cookie gift as apology. Maybe a bit pricey for what you get .
Ann S — Google review
Pretty (hidden), nice place just opposite of “Bilker Kirche”. In the summer you can sit on the wide pedestrian way at little tables. Yesterday (End of October) we had to sit inside but it was still nice. Just entered the waiter brings fresh homemade popcorn to kick-off the evening. The wine menu offers a small but fine selection. Also you have the choice of local and one Turkish beer. The dishes are mostly shareable. We started with a proper pepper aioli and awesome sourdough bread. Followed by veal tatar and pumpkin falafel (because it was Halloween 👻). All in all we had a great time and left after midnight. Will definitely come back again to try the otter dishes of the menu.

I stayed in this hotel expecting a business room worth €300 per night, but what I got was extremely disappointing. The room was tiny, much smaller than what you would expect for a so-called business category. For the price, this felt more like a budget room disguised as luxury. The bathroom was also very small, uncomfortable to use, and definitely not up to 4- or 5-star standards. The minibar prices are outrageous – for example, a simple juice costs €8.50. The bar area is outdated, dark, and in urgent need of renovation. The so-called gym is a joke: it only has a few basic cardio machines and no real equipment for strength training or a proper workout. The beds were the worst part – they advertise double beds, but in reality you only get two single mattresses pushed together. This is very uncomfortable, especially if you’re traveling as a couple. For a hotel charging €300 per night, this is simply unacceptable. To be fair, the staff was friendly and the rooms were clean, but this does not make up for the overall poor experience and terrible value for money. If you are looking for a hotel with real business comfort, proper facilities, and value for your money, I strongly recommend booking somewhere else. This hotel is overpriced, outdated, and very disappointing.

Nice Hotel. Very well located. Rooms well appointed and modern. Staff needs better training. When arrived I explained I had 2 different reservations for two different continuous days. Next day I received a rude call from Front Desk if I was not going to leave the room on time for check. The person did not a friendly tone. I will note the use Aqua Di Parma Bathroom products but there are no trays in the shower to place the many small containers, which you have to place on the shower floor. I suggest refillable containers on the wall that require less plastic waist and are more convenient.

Restaurant
Takumi is a popular ramen restaurant with multiple locations across Dusseldorf, including the original branch on Immermannstrasse. The owner, Haruhiko Saeki, has been instrumental in popularizing ramen soup in Germany. The restaurant is known for its various ramen varieties such as tonkotsu and tantanmen, as well as teriyaki chicken.
Delicious food, the ramen was fantastic! A lovely experience with very friendly staff, it was just a pity that two meals arrived much earlier than the other 3, so those two people were almost finished by the time the 3 other people’s food arrived. But overall a lovely evening there with great food!

This ramen spot was not bad. We got there around 4:30pm and there was a decent line. We waited about 20 minutes before getting a table. It did move pretty quickly though. When ordering I appreciated the staff knowing Japanese made me feel like I was back in Okinawa. I wasn’t a fan of the teriyaki chicken but everything else was pretty standard. The edamame was just fine because it’s pretty hard to mess up. I did enjoy the miso soup. Will likely try a new place in the future to see different takes on the dish. Thanks!

Initially we wanted pork with the ramen, but I think they have recently changed the menu so it’s just chicken, which was disappointing. But the ramen was decent and the fried chicken was really good. Good level spicy as well.

The food tasted amazing! A lot of ramen choices and each of them looking wholesome. (Add fried chicken, was one of the best toppings!) Shrimp was fresh and delicious, soup base rich in taste and noodles soft-chewy and super filling. Portion size was huge, we barely finished it and, well, couldn’t escaped overeating. The place is pretty crowdy and there was a waiting line to be seated outside, because all tables were full, but the food itself worth the wait. Also cooking time was super fast.

Yabase is a popular spot in Dusseldorf, offering excellent Japanese cuisine and sushi for over thirty years. Despite long lines, the restaurant's classic decor exudes simplicity, allowing diners to focus on the finely tuned flavors and high-quality ingredients. The modern and straightforward ambiance complements the no-frills approach to serving great food. Guests can even sit at the counter to watch the fresh fish being prepared.
This is the best sushi I ever ate . Fantastic quality . Düsseldorf is likely the best place to sample original Japanese food in Europe. Given that so many Japanese firms have their European headquarters here and this restaurant is on the top end of what you can get . Interior is not that luxury though and service was a bit slow but the quality of the food is extraordinary. You need to book a table though .

Everything was incredibly fresh, bursting with flavor, and truly authentic. You can tell that great care goes into preparing each dish, making it a must-visit for Japanese food lovers. The staff were also very helpful and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience.

I used to think that every restaurant in this place Dusseldorf 5days trip was also extremely satisfied, but only this Japanese restaurant very disappointed. As I go to Japan almost once a year, or several times a year, it's unbelievable that salmon sashimi is very very unfresh and slide just 2mm like a4 paper thin... I proud of the chef can slide like that thin, and the price is not cheap. Than soy sauce is not special for sushi, I though they use my mother use for kitchen basic that for cooking one which is terrible. At the end, it's just a good tempura rice bowl. It doesn't feel like a traditional Japanese restaurant.

Having lived in Japan for 11 years and always trying to find a good soba place, this restaurant definitely hit the spot. From the quality of the soba to the quality of the sushi, this is a very good place to satisfy those cravings. Obviously, it won't be exactly like eating in Japan, but it comes about as close as you can in Germany. Overall, we will definitely be eating here again.

Fusion restaurant
QOMO Restaurant & Bar is a Japanese fusion eatery and cocktail bar located on the top floor of the Rhine Tower in Dusseldorf's harbor district. The restaurant offers a unique experience with its revolving mechanism that provides 360-degree views of the city while enjoying delicious food or sipping on cocktails.
Want to have a good view of Dusseldorf, then make reservations to go here. I recommend making reservations for early dinner to give you the best light. It is a high-end Japanese restaurant and was my second time here. Like the first time, I asked the waitress to pick out the starters and the main courses. The selection was great, and we had plenty to eat. The food was fresh and tasty. The service was very good. The view was good as the weather held up and not rain. Pricy, but good food, service, and view of the city. Enjoy.

Perfect view! You can see all of Düsseldorf from up here. We reserved a table for 6 pm, so we got to enjoy both the daylight and the night view — both were amazing. We ordered the Kyoto menu, which was more than enough for two people, and everything in it was absolutely delicious. The food was served with perfect timing, and the staff were very friendly and professional. Highly recommended!

my husband brought me here for my birthday this summer – amazing food, amazing drinks, and really great service. 🤍 i genuinely enjoyed every moment. the view is spectacular and the atmosphere is just perfect. highly recommend. 🙂 the only thing I didn’t like, is that we were pressured to leave a bit, because of the time slots for the reservations, but i don’t like the concept of that in general.

QOMO impresses with its 360° skyline views and sleek atmosphere. The starters were outstanding, both in taste and presentation, setting high expectations. Unfortunately, the mains and desserts didn’t quite deliver: underwhelming flavors. Service was friendly, though a bit brisk, you have to wrap everything up in 2 hours. Overall, OK but won’t list among my favorites.

Fiasco. Great location undoubtedly but...service was a chaos: waiters overstressed, food took at least 40 minutes to be served and last but not least we were asked to leave the table because of the next reservation. My suggestion: go for a glass of sec, share an appetizer, enjoy the fantastic view and choose a different place for dinner!.

Returned to QOMO for a second time, but on a lighter evening to enjoy even better views. Excellent service, good atmosphere. Tried different foods this time and all were great quality and surprisingly large portions. Well worth the visit, and price is fair, especially compared with London..

We came here as a family from recommendation. I tried to book online but it would not allow me so I emailed instead. They were able to accommodate us last minute which was wonderful. Pros: food was delicious, quality was lovely and it was halal which was a bonus for us. Cons: our pushchair was not allowed upstairs which made it difficult as our baby missed his nap so we weren’t able to enjoy our food as much. We understand it was from health and safety aspect but they did not accommodate or move tables around to fit this in. The pushchair could’ve easily fit next to me. Not much sweet options for non alcohol mocktails. Fries not offered on menu which was a let down. Service was a bit slow. Most likely due to big table of 12 next to us. We had to keep try getting our waiter Alexander attention and we had to ask another waiter for the bill.

Fantastic and friendly staff for our dinner reservation at 6PM. Food was delicious with very good portion. Ambience and atmosphere were very nice. We appreciate the staff for letting us sit on the table facing the window, to view the beautiful river and city. Thank you so much to the staff and chef for making our wonderful evening to be one of the most memorable moments!

Italian restaurant
Riva Restaurant & Bar is a trendy and atmospheric eatery located by the riverside, offering modern Italian dining and a variety of cocktails. The restaurant is known for its upscale Italian-Mediterranean cuisine and attracts a stylish crowd. Guests can enjoy dishes like sea sole fillet with caviar, sorbet of blood orange with champagne and vodka, as well as beef fillet with sherry-truffle jus.
We dined at Riva Restaurant & Bar during our stay in Düsseldorf and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was elegant and cozy. We enjoyed the beef main course, tuna tartare, and tiramisu. The beef was tender and flavorful, while the tiramisu was light and not overly sweet—perfect to end the meal. The staff were attentive and made us feel welcome. A great spot for a refined dinner or a special occasion. Highly recommend making a reservation as it can get busy.

Warm ambiance with attentively selected decorations, colours complementing the light in mustard, grey & brown tones. The food was tasty, big portions compared to my expectations ! Quality ingredients, good plating. The pizza 🍕 was not the best choice ( too oily),but the schnitzel exactly as in the good Schnitzel houses in Vienna. Overall, nice restaurant for an evening out. The wow effect is missing and some fine tunning for the details (like cleaning a bit the table between serving new plates, serving the drinks in time) can elevate the customer experience. The servers all very nice and polite, chapeau!

Visited for dinner whilst staying in the area on business. We hadn't booked and upon arrival the terrace was very busy, we were soon seated at a table inside. Very well decorated restaurant. Service was pretty slow but drinks and food were ordered. Food was absolutely fantastic, excellent presentation, cooked perfectly and very tasty, Will visit again when back in the area

So, here we are in Dusseldorf! Riva has an amazing wine list, we settled on the Antinori Basis Pasignano. That did not disappoint. Overall, the food was excellent and the vibe/location amazing! Owner Michele was a superb host, an evening not to be forgotten!

Service was excellent, prices were reasonable being on the harbour. Great views. Service was excellent for such a large group and food was excellent.
Hug D — Google review
Food was lovely. The main courses were spot on, really enjoyed them. Wine list is also beautiful, plenty of choice for your pallet. Really did not appreciate that it was allowed for people to smoke INSIDE of the restaurant throughout the whole dinner (they were “secretly” smoking HEATS).
Gintare D — Google review
It’s a cool spot, food is average, service is average, prices are premium. Wines were too young. Won’t be back.
Mike S — Google review
One of the coolest locations in Dusseldorf. We were there for a dinner. The restaurant has a modern interior. Dark touch with lighting at the bar. It has a club lounge feel. We had an antipasti with many different dishes as an appetizer. Then for the main course the wiener schnitzel. Everything was very tasty and we had a great service. However, one star deduction because the waiting time for the appetizer and main course was too long. And our seat was too close to other tables and the wall.

Today we tried this well recognized greece restaurant in Duesseldorf. The place was very crowded for and we were really intregued by all the different startes and ordered several of them. Everything was very tasty and my favourite were the "Pitakia" und the "Chtapodi". My "Moussaka" was excelent and the "Lamb shanks" were not so excelent. Wonderful service and a good wine selection.

Excellent authentic Greek food taste as you get it in Greece! At least for the the “Saldeles” and “Skaras’s” ;mix grill actually) that I tried! Just Real Greek taste and good service despite the full house!. Great choice of Greek wines too! Both Malagouzia and Prima Terra, were excellent with the above mentioned dishes

In Düsseldorf's Old Town, visitors can enjoy hearty German meals at traditional breweries and restaurants like Uerige and Fuchschen Alt. The city also boasts a vibrant Japanese quarter known as Little Tokyo, filled with various Japanese eateries, bakeries, bars, and bookshops. For a spectacular view of the city skyline, one can visit The Paris Club at the 25hours Hotel in Pempelfort.
I was just visiting someone staying here for a few drinks and it was stunning. The service was very high end. The windows and the views of the sky bar were amazing. Great spot to watch the sunset over a couple drinks. I had a Paloma and the Pineapple Express.

Disrespected and Dismissed – A Disappointing First and Last Visit I visited The Paris Club last night with my husband, expecting a refined dining experience to match the elegance of the venue. Instead, I left feeling dismissed and disrespected. We arrived early and were told the restaurant opens at 6 p.m., so we waited at the bar for about 45 minutes. At 6, we approached the hostess—a fat, double flab-bellied waitress who stood at the counter with a cold, expressionless face. Her greeting? A flat “Ya?” No smile, no welcome—just an attitude as though I were asking for a free meal. I told her we were here to dine, and she responded with “Sure, do you have a reservation?” We didn’t, and she checked her tablet before leading us to the most undesirable table in the center of the restaurant, directly across from the bar. I kindly asked to sit by the window and explained we would only be dining for an hour. She replied sharply, “All tables are reserved for 7 p.m.” We accepted the seat, but I made it clear I’d be watching. Sure enough, by 6:30, another couple came in, were seated in the middle, and—after asking—were moved to a window table. I overheard their entire exchange and knew they hadn’t reserved it. I called on a waiter, explained the situation, and he initially tried to make excuses. He later returned to apologize, but the original waitress never came back. She completely avoided us. That kind of passive avoidance and lack of accountability is unprofessional and cowardly. I cannot help but feel that I was judged by my appearance—as a well-dressed Black woman, confident and luxury-presenting. If she had a problem with me being a rich Black woman, then at the very least she should have respected my money. I was not given the same courtesy or treatment as others in the room. It was not just disappointing—it was offensive. It’s unfortunate, because the restaurant has potential. The food was good, but hospitality is about more than a nice plate. It’s about respect. And if a guest walks out feeling insulted, all the fancy décor in the world can’t fix that. First time. Definitely the last. (Attached: A photo of how I showed up

Great view (we made a reservation), very nice and friendly staff:) About the food: we choose menu for 62€ which consist of whatever starter (tuna for my partner and schrimps for me), main dish (fish or meat) and dessert with coffee. Tuna was really delicious, shrimps was tasty, but I‘ve expected something more interesting than 8 boiled shrimps for 18€ in menu😜 Main dish unfortunately wasn’t that great - my fish was good, but it was so small amount of fish and so huge portions of fairly hard lentils. I even couldn’t finish it. Meat wasn’t that tasty as well, at least not what we expected from the view. Pralines was nice 👍🏼 Overall experience because of the amazing view and nice atmosphere is quite good, but for such price I would expect more delicious dishes in menu 😋
Inna Z — Google review
Everything was wonderful. Oysters and other dishes. I didn't like so the side dish to Octopus, rice had too intrusive sour taste that conflict to proper taste the meat. The view is marvelous🌇 The photo doesn't reflect the view, but the restaurant design)

Lovely atmosphere. Lovely bar. Everything was nice, view, seats, lighting, even the toilets. Really beautiful place. I only knocked one star off because at the price of these cocktails, I thought they would be made fresh. However they are pre-mixed. This means some of the cocktails were not available on the menu because they had ran out of pre-mix, where as if this were fresh, they could have substituted the missing ingredient. However, still a really stunning place, great service, relaxing, someone has done a good job of this.
V M — Google review
We went there for breakfast and we were very friendly. There was a lot of choice in bread, cold charcuterie, cheese, bacon, eggs, yogurt, fresh fruit, orange juice and sparkling wine. The view is amazing, ask for a table at the window. Watch out because you can reserve until 12h30, but the buffet closes at 13.

We enjoyed a great lunch today at Paris Club. Great french cuisine and wine, amazing view over Düsseldorf and last but definitely not least our host Olga. She was the cherry on the top. We cannot wait to come back!

Being vegetarian, you won't have many options only 1 in the main course and 2 in the starter (salad). Otherwise the food was okay. So I had only one option which was pointy cabbage and was not that good, very hard to cut and not worth the overall price too. For the salad it was goo I liked it. The view from the restaurant is great! The staff was also very nice.

The Brasserie Stadthaus is a 400-year-old townhouse that features wood paneled walls, oysters and steak frites, classic French wines, and delicious French cuisine. The chef's cooking is worth trying, with escargots and foie gras as starters followed by steak frites and fondant au chocolat for dessert. The cafe makes a great impression from the outside with its lighted ceiling spanning the spacious dining room.
Great service , food as good as I expected. Will definitely return to try more different dishes.

The place looks nice and spacious. Fits for people who wants to enjoy the nice food and atmosphere. The service is nice, staff are friendly and speaks English without any problems. We order an appetizer and soup for sharing and main dish for both of us. The portion fits perfectly for two of us. The cold appetizer is really tasty and the lobster soup is amazing. Main course decorated nicely and taste good as well. I will recommend people to come for trying.

The food is fine , somehow a bit salty , the portion is pretty big if you are pretty hungry and you surely will get full ! A bit pity some details are missing such as didn’t offer the steak knife for the flank steak , and didn’t ask how you want your steak done , too quickly taking away the bread tray . You can feel the lack of training of some new staffs . The chef came out to say hello somehow not so happy and also didn’t introduced himself is a bit odd ! If they want, I am sure they can do way better than that ! Please go for it !!

Excellent meal. Everything we tried was delicious. Service was efficient and professional. Monkfish was definitely the highlight for me, though the steak tartare came in a close second. Chef came out after our meal, which is always an appreciated gesture. Wine list is very good, although I'd like to see more choices on the lower end of the price scale. Dessert was definitely overpriced, yet delicious. But when your dessert costs the same as your starter, it makes you wonder. Definitely will come back to try more of the wonderful French menu. Overall, highly recommended.

Nestled in the charming neighborhood of Oberkassel, Saittavini is a delightful wine bar that beautifully marries exquisite Italian cuisine with the essence of Mediterranean living. This cozy spot, surrounded by shelves brimming with fine wines, serves as an ideal backdrop for both inspiring business meetings and romantic dinners. Guests can indulge in a variety of dishes ranging from sophisticated antipasti to fresh homemade pasta and diverse seafood and meat options, ensuring that every lover of Italian fare finds something to savor.
Amazing Italian restaurant with very friendly service. Today I had the tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms — simply outstanding, with an incredible aroma. I then tried the Venetian liver with mashed potatoes, which was excellent. Finished off with a delicious tiramisu and a well-prepared espresso. Highly recommended!
Ma J — Google review
Let me start with the positive part. The food is very delicious, fresh and prepared very well. This Italian restaurant's ambiance is charming but very overcrowded, with too many tables crammed in. Service is suboptimal as a result, with inattentive and slow staff detracting from the dining experience. You can easily compare it to a chaos, and I don’t blame the staff but the management for this - with so many tables and clients, it is impossible to pay high quality attention to your customers. This would have been totally fine if one was not paying 210€ (without tip) for a 2-step dinner for two. Food and particularly all drinks are heavily overpriced, making it hard to justify the cost. Not the best value for money, plenty of other excellent options in Düsseldorf.

Lovely Italian place. Most of the crew is Italian and the food looks very traditional. I recommend the tagliatelle with lobster and spaghetti with truffle as well as the tiramisu and the salad with shrimp. I didn't try the meat but looked impressive. Service is fine. Excellent Genuine Italian restaurant. Very romantic in a magnificent neighborhood of Düsseldorf. feels like being really in italy in a high quality rosticceria. The antipasti plateau for two was delicious (but that doesn’t explain the charge of 45 euros). The pasta with chilly and chanterelles was one of the best I have ever tasted. I can say the same for the extraordinary tiramisu. The stuff were also really helpful and polite but they should really take some English courses! Everything excellent except from the prices. Strongly overpriced. That’s the only reason I am not giving the five stars rating

The restaurant Rubens is a great place to enjoy Austrian cuisine with a twist. The wine selection is top-notch, and the staff is welcoming and accommodating. Whether you're staying in Dusseldorf or just passing through, make sure to stop by Rubens for a delicious meal!
Paul was awesome, gave insightful recommendations for the wine and the menu was delicious - a modern, but still traditional Austrian kitchen. Especially the starter were fabulous. Also the contact with Cornelia Baumgart was great - she managed to get all our 13 people into a fully packed Saturday. Great job guys!

Second time visiting this restaurant, which I highly recommend until my last visit. Although the service and ambient were exquisite, I found the all the courses heavily salted this time. I wish the chef and servers had considered our feedback to improve the dishes that were served later in the evening. This could have improved our experience and customer who would have been happy to visit again with more guests.
Selase — Google review
I have no idea why they have 4.8 rating. I wasn’t that hungry so I only took a main course. The schnitzel looked big but it’s just the batter and it’s not crispy, the meat was thin as paper and it had no taste while the rest of the food was way tooooooo salty! Maybe having their set menu would be a better choice but I don’t think I’ll come back again. Service was just ok, nothing special.

The stake was great, cooked exactly how I like it. Salad was an average . Music was super loud which was annoying. The waitress was very rude and she had no respect for us, she barely understood English and she took too long to deliver our orders. I asked for ice and she took an hour to bring such a simple order.
Hania D — Google review
Agree with most of the other reviews here. The wait staff was nicr, but service was very very slow - but granted, it was a Saturday night. Started with the beef carpaccio, which was great. Service went downhill from there. The steak was adequate, although the New York steak - even being US beef - is not the traditional cut you would get in the US. It's not worth the money. Steak was cooked well, but as typical here in Germany, not salt only pepper. Pureed potatoes had a nice texture, but they were somehow sweet.

Disappointed. Waiters kept refilling our wine glasses—too quickly and too full—even after we requested them to stop. Additionally, there were recordings being made for an interview. After receiving a menu with only 3 options, we ordered a bottle but got a surprise when the bill came as we got charged for a bottle twice the price that was not even listed on the list we received. The food and service were okay up until the moment it felt they took advantage of us.

European restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Düsseldorf, Restaurant Em Brass is a delightful spot that perfectly marries refined cuisine with a laid-back atmosphere. This charming eatery features a concise menu that fits neatly on one page, showcasing an array of beautifully presented dishes that are both harmonious and flavorful. Diners can expect to enjoy fresh ingredients and creative combinations at reasonable prices, making it an excellent choice for those seeking quality without breaking the bank.
One of my favorite places in Düsseldorf for a date. Food, service, atmosphere - always the best! They change menu a bit from time-to-time, so you never get bored. Some dishes (like truffle pasta) stay on the menu simply because they are amazing. Also, they have a great selection of wines.
Vira B — Google review
Very nice atmosphere, buzzy and busy neighbourhood place. I really can’t agree with the food ratings, the stracciatella was more like cottage cheese and the carbonara sauce lacked depth and seemed too cheesy, should be more eggy. The pancetta was what saved it, nice and crispy and was where the flavour was. The service was excellent, friendly and accommodating.
Giove — Google review
I love this place. The food is always so good and honestly the chocolate cake is the reason I come back over and over again. The service is also very polite and quick. The only think I don’t enjoy is the atmosphere. It is not very cozy and welcoming, especially with the tent outside. It feels like locked in a dark room without windows. But overall it’s worth it for the food. In the summer it is very enjoyable sitting outside.
Kalina L — Google review
The best restaurant in Düsseldorf I have been to in my 3 night stay here. Great staff, amazing wine recommendations with the food; and just very cozy and friendly/family like atmosphere.
Pien B — Google review
This is the best italian restaurant i have been to in a very very long time!! We arrived after they closed the kitchen but they were very very kind and let us order anyway. As for the food….i have no words, everything was superlative!! Definetly recommend ordering the truffle pasta!! They are out of this world. Very very delicious.
Luiza R — Google review
Good food but the worst service I experienced in a long time - seems like most of the waiters know a lot of guests which they prefer to serve first. I wasn’t asked once during the evening if I would like another drink - besides that I ordered a new glass of wine for my main dish and the guy forgot about it, the waiter who should have taken care about this, decided to smoke a cigarette instead….when they cleaned up the table they asked if everything was fine and I point it out BUT they didn’t even apologized. Nevertheless they offer a broad range of bottled wine, also natural ones which I really enjoyed but unfortunately the service kills it for me…if you don’t care some much about service then feel free to take a seat and enjoy the delicious dishes which are definitely worth a try.

I visited Em Brass the first time and gad high expectations. I was not disappointed. The atmosphere is great. Small, cozy, friendly and personal. The service was welcoming and courteous. We had different starters which were all great! I can definitely recommend the ceviche. As a main I had the octopus with risotto - it was delicious! The others had truffle pasta with meat. The pasta was not well seasoned and some salt was missing. Also the combination of truffle oil and truffles was a bit too much truffle :D therefore one star less. The meat was great. I would definitely come back to try the other mains on the card and can definitely recommend a visit.

One of the gems in Düsseldorf for dinner and wine. We went for dinner and ordered Burrata and steak with pasta. The food was super delicious and fresh. Also the staff is super nice. It's highly recommended to book a table as it gets packed. Otherwise you will wait for minutes until a table is available.

Japanese restaurant
Restaurant
Nestled just a short stroll from Max Brown Midtown, Yoshi by Nagaya is a culinary gem that beautifully encapsulates the essence of Japanese cuisine. This modern Kaiseki restaurant offers an exquisite journey through a series of delicate dishes originally served during traditional tea ceremonies. The ambiance is inviting, featuring soft lighting and dark wood accents that create a serene dining experience.
Amazing experience! From appetizer to dessert, everything was thoughtfully created and you can really notice the quality of the ingredients and herbs. Service was great, in total there were two colleagues waiting the tables, one was even doubling as sommelier 😊 drink recommendations were fantastic as well and not to mention Chef Nagaya was there to personally prepare the sushi. From taste to experience, everything was as what you would’ve expected from a Michelin star restaurant.
Clara F — Google review
An unforgettable dining experience. Every dish at this Michelin-starred Japanese restaurant was a work of art perfectly balanced, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The service was impeccable from start to finish: warm, professional, and attentive without being overbearing. What stood out most was the chef is not only incredibly talented, but also genuinely kind and passionate. You can truly feel the heart and precision behind every plate. I left deeply impressed and grateful. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates fine Japanese cuisine.
Kwanta A — Google review
Amazing Japanese restaurant. Outstanding fish quality (one of the best tunas I ever had), creative presentation and well balanced taste. Very good sake selection and wine menu. Perfect service with detailed explanation of every course. Definitely worth the price and one of the best Japanese restaurants in Germany.
Reinhard B — Google review
A true dining experience on its own and an amazing dive on Japanese cuisine. More than the food (which was excellent), I particularly appreciated the open sushi kitchen. Admiring the chefs while they prepared each dish felt like watching a well choreographed show, with open but slow movements. Each piece felt like a piece of art. I had the short menu (5 dishes) and everything was delicious. Some of the best sushi I ever had. Balanced flavours. Amazing technique. Beautiful crafted presentation. My only 2 critics would go to the steak seasoning (sauce was delicious but not enough to compensate for the complete lack of salt) and the sake macaroon served in the end as a petit four. Taste on point, texture not really. Lacking the crunchiness and the airness of a good one. Maybe it was stored in a fridge and humidity destroyed it? I would probably not comment on that, but they presented it as a specialty, so big expectations were created and not matched. Unsurprisingly service was impeccable. Yoshi is definitely a landmark on Düsseldorf's culinary scene and a must try if you are a foodie.
Diana P — Google review
One of the best Japanese restaurants in Düsseldorf. The food is amazing and the wine is great. For sure, the price is also relatively high.
Junjie S — Google review
Exceptional dining experience. The long restaurant is simple yet elegant with an open kitchen in the back of the restaurant where you can see the food being delicately prepared (you can even sit on the bar to observe). We did the tasting menu which was excellent - each dish was carefully prepared and made with great care and pride. Everything tasted wonderful! It was a journey for the taste buds which I would highly recommend to those which are indecisive as the variety was quite good.
Kevin H — Google review
Amazing Japanese restaurant. The 5 course menu has good portion with a variety of food choices and so tasty & beautiful. Make sure to make the reservation a head of time!
Ying L — Google review
The food was great. Maybe the yuzu flavor was a bit too repetitive. However, the biggest let down was the service. Took a long time to be served. Got through the first 2 dishes before we were even served water. For a smalll resto, it was quite chaotic and you can see the servers frantically running around. This was unacceptable for a starred resto. I recommend just booking Nagaya where both service and food are what you can expect from a 1 star resto.

Chinese restaurant
Dim Sum Gourmet is a popular Chinese restaurant in Dusseldorf that offers delicious dim sum plates and Peking duck meals. The intimate and relaxed atmosphere makes it a great choice for casual dining, while the skilled chef uses fresh ingredients to create delicious dishes.
The restaurant is very busy and crowded during the weekends. I would definitely recommend to book a table. The service is really nice, but during peak hours it can take a bit. The food is excellent and really authentic.

Looking for delicious and authentic Dim Sum in Düsseldorf? Look no further! My recent experience at Dim Sum Gourmet was fantastic. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delightful. A great spot to enjoy a variety of flavorful dim sum. Highly recommended!
Family A — Google review
⭐️The food here distinguishes themselves by a balance of original flavours accentuated by just the right touch of seasoning. In the case of steamed tripes, the zest of ginger extract gives the bouncy texture a refreshing kick. The wonton soup looks plain, but the stock has a subtle richness that is not (according to my taste buds) created through the shortcut of adding artificial chemicals, rather, it is most likely house made stock. ⭐️Acoustics: While the music is not exactly irritatingly loud, I would’ve much preferred an even lower volume, to fit the overall gentle vibe of the cozy space. ⭐️Artwork: I loved the monochromatic ink brush painting depicting a street vendor of roasted ducks. It lays out the key steps in preparing this popular delicacy and reminds me of the many bustling open air markets in Asia. The hairstyle of the characters point to a bygone era (Qing Dynasty, 1644-1912), but the beauty of quality food prepared with care is with us today and especially at this restaurant. ⭐️As usual, I chatted a little with the chefs and gave compliments on their dedication to a well-run kitchen. ⭐️Last but not least, the bathroom is spotless clean.

As a Hong Kong born Chinese the food was very good. Except for the shrimp rice crepe is not made the traditional way was a bit out of expectation

Most dishes are quite ok, however the menu lacks quite a lot of traditional dim sum dishes. Be aware this place only accepts cash.

Delicious dimsum and warm service. My wife and I were craving for dim sum and looked at options nearby. We ultimately decided to try this restaurant due to its stellar reviews and being highly recommended among the expat community. We were not disappointed. All the food we ordered were delicious. The service was welcoming and friendly.

Peking duck pancakes was so good! The meat was tender and the skin was crispy. Also their dumplings was different to other places but tasty! It’s a family owned business and they were really friendly. Will definitely come back for their Peking duck 😊

Restaurant Kö59, located in Dusseldorf's Hotel Intercontinental, offers a delightful blend of traditional Rhineland dishes and international flavors. The menu features a variety of seasonal delights such as the Konigsberger Klopsen Bjorn Freitag Style and the Ragout vom Grafenberg Hirsch. The attentive and friendly team ensures excellent service, while the exquisite wine selection from the exclusive bar complements the culinary experience.
Very polite and welcoming personnel. Nice space and atmosphere. The classic cocktails were spot on and their own recipes were surprisingly good. The food was really good. We have booked for our anniversary and the staff made it extra special. Overall it is very nice place with very good food, drinks and excellent service. Definitely to be repeated

Food with good quality and skilled preparation. Portions decent. Good wine list and a vast list of original cocktails. Atmosphere and space comfortable and well though. Low lights as it should. The service in my opinion was the best part of my experience, so polite and welcoming. It’s been long since I have dealt with such good service. Ideal for any occasion, from casual to business and special dates.

Restaurant has a nice atmosphere. Food has a decent quality. Service from some is really good, from others very distant and not warm and welcoming. The latter pushes it into an average experience.
B B — Google review
The location it s superior with good services. Very good beef tenderloin with sweet carrots. The sauce was not extraordinary The king prawns were delicious and the kalamata olives were very tasty. Cheese cake good, could be more good in such a place.

Special thanks to Michelle Mitschke, who made our evening really special.
Gereon K — Google review
Excellent restaurant with great service and very good dishes. The presentation is very good and the taste even better. I would highly recommend the deserts. The only negative thing I would point out is the choice of the cutlery. To thin shafts and this makes the usage of them inpractical. Otherwise one of the best restaurants to eat in Düsseldorf.

I tried the chicken which was great, the staff was nice and the prices are reasonable with a 10% tip I payed for one meal and a Prosecco 55€
