Nestled in the heart of Basel, Switzerland, the Toy Worlds Museum Basel is a captivating attraction dedicated to the world of toys. Originally known as the Dollhouse Museum Basel, this enchanting museum boasts a vast collection of dolls, teddy bears, and miniature toy exhibits displayed across four floors. Established in 1996, it offers visitors a nostalgic journey through various eras and cultures with its charming exhibits and interactive displays.
We’ve got the Basel card which gave us 50% discount on adult tickets. Kids under 12yo - free admission. My son was given a tablet which gives an interactive child friendly explanation of the toy history etc. Clean washrooms, good floor layout, interactive areas - even for grownups. I enjoyed the lego animation. :) Overall, well worth your time and money.
Michelle S — Google review
This is an incredible museum with thousands of historical toys, especially Teddy bears, well worth to visit. The exhibition is displayed over several floors and it takes at least one hour to visit the museum. The free tablet that is given at the entrance is mainly aimed at children with interactive stories and characters from the exhibit talking. It got pretty noisy and crowded as we were visiting on a holiday plus there was an activity lab for children blocking part of the floor. Being interested in the historical part, we would have appreciated more background information about the history of the toys, the toy firms and even some of the items that were on display with more info to read on the windows, an audio guide or a pamphlet.
Monica P — Google review
This is as good as it comes!! Price was low I pads are provided that can be connected to explanations of several points through out the displays were very well done. Several geographic points of origin were included. Gift shop has real collectible inventory, not junk. Staff was extremely helpful. Organization was superior and displays were excellent.
Daniel S — Google review
We really enjoyed ourselves. The miniature toys especially are interesting to look at with their minute detailing. It looks like for kids but as an adult, I can still recommend it.
Akshita K — Google review
The Museum has 4 interactive floors of marvelous vintage toys on display. When you receive your ticket, you will also receive a tablet to scan bar codes at several displays. The interactive journey can be in several languages, though after a while, you may be more interested in examining the impressive detail of the display. They also have free lockers for you to lock up your bags. The Museum can be missed if you dont speak German but Google maps stirred me to the right direction.
Shakirah K — Google review
Nice museum for kids and adults, amazing collection of toys, teddy bears, dolls houses etc, my daughters enjoyed the interactive tour with some toys coming into life through an iPad.. and the arts and crafts station. The museum staff were just amazing! It was a great part of our trip to basel!
Nasreen H — Google review
Delightful museum with a few very kind and friendly staff. Four floors, with SO much to see on each, with many intricate miniatures and doll’s houses mainly from the 1800s onwards. A great variety of dolls and plush teddy bears too, carefully and imaginatively arranged in large glass cases. More curious esoteric models on Floor 1, including a torture chamber…! For smaller folk there are fairly large play areas of Duplo, a very generous amount of Lego and Lego Technic on Floor 3. Tickets come with a free interactive tablet guide with strap to make it easier to carry. Visitors scan a QR code at various points and an entertaining VR animation appears with historical info on the piece, likely to be of interest to slightly older children. An overall thoughtfully presented museum. Benches dotted around each section, and the environment is very clean. Could have spent more than the two hours I had there quite easily. Note: The main shop at entrance is very small, and only sells a handful of miniatures. Plushes are also very modern, and not reminiscent of the styles in the museum. Second section tucked away had a minimum spend of 10 CHF (if I recall correctly) when paying by card, so remember to bring cash for postcards and small items.
C C — Google review
Really good private museum of toys. Not very big. But still interesting. Most of the exposure are soft toys, or doll houses. And if the soft toys are, I would say "just normal tous", the doll houses are state of art. Great design, design and details. To make it interesting for the kids, they give tablets for kids, to watch some interesting stories about the exhibits.

Laguna Badeland is a spacious aquatic center that features wave pools, flume rides, and a designated area for children to play in the water. The facility also boasts several types of saunas. The water quality is notably clean and the price of admission for a day ticket is reasonable. Guests are welcome to bring their own food and partake in picnics on the premises even during colder seasons when indoor spaces are used exclusively.
Great waterpark for kids with indoor and out door pools and slides, the outdoor are much better.. very clean and very nice staff. You must wear skinny bathing suits!!! otherwise you won't be allowed to go in the pool or use the slides!!!!
Eldad S — Google review
Went there during the weekend so it was quite busy. In general I thought it was a bit small but we still found it enjoyable. Thank you. I was surprised because the food was better than in most water parks! The only downside was the long long line .. Also one suggestion.. upstairs above the restaurant there were only 2 toddler highchairs close to the tables. Few extra ones are needed I think at least during the weekends when there are more people and more toddlers. Had to hold my toddler while eating which is not ideal.
Evelina C — Google review
So far I can recommend this place when you are in a budget you can also bring some food and drinks hope they stay like this 👍
MylifeinSwitzerland B — Google review
Great in and outdoor swimming and sauna area. Lots of nice pools also for little kids. Lots of fun with the pool that has a wave machine and the heated water. Kids loved it. Food is rather fast food-ish and could be improved a bit to integrate healthier options. Especially for kids. Prices are a bit high but it is worth it over all.
Ewa W — Google review
So, I'll start with the positives. First of all, I liked the food, it looked great and tasted great. I also liked the pools, they were clean, And despite the number of people, there was enough space to swim. The wave pool was also good. The staff were polite and nice. The only reason I gave it three stars was because of the slides. Firstly, on the blue hill where there are places to stand and take a rest, an incredible number of people gathered who collided with each other and this, in my opinion, is simply dangerous! There is no regulation The number of people on the slide! Also the second slide was also distinguished (the red one) There is a regulation of people, but the problem is that it only represents a light bulb, there is no one who would actually regulate how many people jump at one time! I saw four girls jump into this slide at the same time, although only one person could jump there, and the indicator that was supposed to show whether it was possible to jump worked with a Big delay! Another minus that I can note about the slides is that when I was going down the slide there was no pressure! This meant that I just got stuck halfway and tried to frantically Push yourself forward so that the next person doesn't crash into me! And the worst thing is that my mother went there and she has back problems, which is why the man and the child crashed right into her! Perhaps they specifically turned off the pressure so that people would not go down the slide. But then why weren't people sent there to tell them not to go down??? Although it is possible that there was a breakdown in the set and the staff simply noticed it too late, but in any case This is incredibly dangerous, I hope they take action.
Наталья Т — Google review
Great with kids, very clean and everything seems quite new. There was big area for little kids and three slides for bigger. Low entrance fee, only about 16€ per adult. Parking was 2€ for whole day.
Maija H — Google review
Great Combo prices for myself and my daughter. Excellent selection of pools and my daughter loved the kids labyrinth.
Maggie's A — Google review
No complains !! Extremely clean water. Ticket price (day ticket)is good. Food is good and not expensive. You can bring in your own food too (Picnic allowed)(even in winter when you're only indoors) A special mention should go out to the patient and polite management who replies ,here on Google maps, to all reviews of people who are ,for eg, simply not adhering the rules. It would be a good idea to have a big poster of the layout of the premises. I didn't know that I missed out half the place until it was too late. The mezzanine floor (above the restaurant) is dangerously slippery . The showers need to be replaced.

When you find yourself in Basel, a visit to Confiserie Beschle is an absolute must for any food lover. This charming establishment has been delighting patrons since 1898 with its exquisite range of confectionery and baked goods. Start your day with a sumptuous brunch featuring fresh breads, croissants, muesli, scrambled eggs, and specialty meats that cater to every palate. The buffet also offers refreshing local apple juice and aromatic coffee from London Tea.
Beschle in Basel is a great place for pastry lovers. The café has a refined yet cozy feel, making it a great place to unwind. Their pastries are outstanding, with rich flavors and delicate craftsmanship - especially the chocolate treats, which are a highlight. The staff were welcoming and efficient, adding to the overall pleasant experience. It’s the kind of spot you’ll want to revisit whenever you're in town 😃

The cafe has been operating since 1898. It has a 2 levels dining room, one with a corner with armchairs and sofa and outside tables against 2 walls (it's a corner unit) They display chocolates, pastries, and sandwiches. Service is efficient and friendly but not very fast They serve coffee with a pitcher of hot water, one with hot milk, a glass of cold water, and one of their chocolates (excellent). At SF 5.40 for an Americano, this is great value.
Rupert A — Google review
My colleagues and I came to do the chocolate workshop. It was very nice and fun. We tasted a lot of chocolates and decorated some. I highly recommend doing it with a small team (10-15 people) because you have the time to ask questions and to enjoy the tasting.
Alexandra C — Google review
Hands down my favourite cafe in Basel, as a tourist I don't like to go back to the same place twice, as there so much to see and try however I made an exception for this place. It's makes possibly the best hazelnut almond croissant I've ever tasted. Coffee was delicious, and they go the extra mile with giving a really scrumptious chocolate with it. I found Switzerland really quite expensive for practically everything. However, this little cafe was really quite reasonably priced in comparison to most. Their roast beef sandwich with horseradish was also just chefs' kiss. I would consider coming back to Basel for a day trip just to eat here. Couldn't recommend enough for a sandwich, cake, and coffee lunch.
Dani H — Google review
Very nice place: comfortable, with broad space atmosphere. Service very good and kind. Meals and coffee: i very liked them. The chocolate cake from the photo could be better. The yogurt is very good, and classic croissants are excellent. With your coffee you are also included a small glass of water and a piece of chocolate. Nice service. In the photo, we ordered capucchinos.

This charming café, located just a short stroll from the Congress Centre Basel and Messeplatz, offers a perfect escape for anyone seeking a relaxed, inviting spot to enjoy a bite to eat. Inside, you’ll find plenty of seating in a warm and cozy environment, ideal for unwinding or catching up with friends. If you prefer the outdoors, there’s also a lovely outdoor seating area, perfect for enjoying a bit of sunshine while sipping your coffee or indulging in a treat. The café boasts an impressive selection of freshly baked pastries, mouth-watering sandwiches, and a delightful array of cakes and other sweet treats. From flaky croissants to decadent tarts, every item on display is crafted with care and quality ingredients. The range of hot and cold drinks is equally extensive, featuring everything from rich, aromatic coffees and teas to refreshing juices and chilled beverages. We found ourselves spoiled for choice and would have loved to sample more if it weren’t for our upcoming lunch plans! The staff here were exceptionally friendly and attentive, making sure we felt welcome and well looked after throughout our visit. Their warm hospitality, combined with the café’s inviting ambiance, truly enhanced our experience, leaving us eager to return. Whether you’re looking for a quick snack, a leisurely coffee break, or a cozy spot to relax, this café is a hidden gem not to be missed.
Pete W — Google review
Friendly staff and good selection to choose from. Majority of the products and pricing are not well labelled which makes it hard to tell what each item contains or is made of which is a bit disappointing when you have certain dietary requirements. The cakes and tarts were labelled to indicate what they were but other pastries were not. Ended up leaving with just coffee as felt embarrassed to ask the staff what things were after asking about 3-4 items prior.

Been here before also. One of the best in Basel. Great location, in the heart of Kleinbasel. Friendly and welcoming staffs. Super fast delivery. Yummy croissants, chocolate cakes, pastries and the hot beverages. Fully recommended.

IMPULSIV KINDERLAND is a delightful venue suitable for children, offering an enjoyable experience for birthday celebrations and other events. It provides endless amusement for kids, allowing parents to unwind and decompress. The games available are captivating and greatly adored by children who visit this facility. However, it's important to note that the scheduled program differs from what is indicated on maps, running from 10am to 7pm instead of the originally specified time.
We've been here a few time over the last 5 or so years and it remains the best soft-play centre in the area. It is consistently good with a simple setup that hasn't had to change much over the years. The organisation for birthday partys and the general service for unplanned visits just works. The staff are super and the place is clearly well managed. The cleanliness and orderliness is second to none and there are the usual food and drink options that you would expect. There is ample seating for the adults and even a spacious balcony for those wanting more distance from the action! As with any such facility, the noise can get a bit loud, so bring some headphones if you want to switch off or catch up on work. As expected the main requirement is that the children are entertained and on this front there are no problems. The different spaces are clean, safe and well thought out. The children also have lots of space for running or playing tag and are not confronted with constant purchase demands or annoying slot machine type devices. In terms of location it can cater for French, Swiss snd German families and there is plenty of parking for any amount of guests.

Kids and adults enjoy their time here Plenty of place and good play area for ages between 1 and 14. The only down thing that they don't have variety of food but thankfully bringing your own food is ok.
Mal M — Google review
Large place with lots of different activities. I've only been twice with my 4 year old but some common issues I've had are: 1. Long slow lines at the electric quads for the little ones. There should be someone supervising that on busy weekend days because some parents load their kids up with tokens for the rides and they never get off and it takes forever to get one. 2. The trampolines are always too packed and a danger zone. Unsupervised kids come in and just look for a smaller kid they can bounce out by jumping near them etc. I have to sit there with my kid to fend off the larger kids and let him have some time. 3. The air gun ball launcher area doesn't have nearly enough balls. The cage area should be swimming in balls so that kids can get them easily and quickly. Both times we've been, there have been about 10 balls for 4 guns. Aggressive kids hog all the balls and slowly launch them back in. Please put about 100 balls in there. 4. Hand sanitizer dispensers were all empty both times. 5. Today I was there and it was over crowded. They need to lower the limit of kids that can be in there at one time. Every play area was overcrowded with kids smashing into each other because there was no room to bounce, climb or jump etc. If you stay with your child and keep things orderly it's generally a good experience. There is space for improvement though. I'd gladly pay a few Euros more for entry to have less children and more supervision.
Craig T — Google review
The place is nice, but it is full of teenagers, which it can be a bit uncomfortable for the small kids. It is really a pity.

Overground Basel is a vast 2500-m hall that serves as a playground for athletes of all ages. It offers various trendy sports such as parkour, chase tag, trampoline, and calisthenics. The facility features world-class obstacles and caters to all athletic abilities. Visitors can learn ninja and parkour skills from friendly and knowledgeable staff members. Overground Basel also hosts fun activities like birthday parties, school trips, and kids camps during school breaks.
Overground is such an amazing facility! Always spacious, clean, and has the best world-class obstacles! They cater extremely well to all athletic abilities. It is the perfect place to start learning how to do ninja and parkour obstacles from their incredibly friendly, and knowledgeable staff. Would 100% recommend if you’re interested in taking your ninja & parkour skills to the next level. It is the perfect place to bring friends to try obstacles from the ninja warrior show!! 10/10

Tips for first-time visitors: 1. Skip the GPS panic. The entrance is tucked beneath the bridge. Look for stairs or ramps going under, not on top. 2. Parking tip: Free street parking is tough nearby. Try the "Parkhaus Claramatte" and walk 5–10 min. 3. Bring water. It gets sweaty fast, especially in summer. There's no free water fountain, just vending machines. 4. Wear layers. It can go from chilly to sauna depending on the floor you’re on and how packed it is. 5. Best for older kids & teens. Most gear is sized for 10+; younger kids need extra supervision. 6. Don’t miss the top floor. The upper level has a great view, more chill seating, and sometimes pop-up activities. 7. Book in advance. Especially on weekends or school holidays it fills up quickly and walk-ins may be turned away. 8. Friendly staff. The crew is super supportive if you're new to parkour, skating, or trampolines. Just ask! 9. Bring grippy socks or sneakers. Some areas require grip—flip-flops and sandals are useless here. 10. Budget for snacks. There's a small café/snack bar, but it's cashless; card or phone payments only.
Ken D — Google review
This facility is INCREDIBLE!!! Both the parkour and ninja spaces are so large and equiped with variety, making it perfect for any level. No matter if you’re a beginner or a pro, you’ll have endless challenges and obstacles to conquer 🙌🏼 I loved it!

We came only for the weekend from Hungary to try the training center out. The buliding is just a few bus stops away from the airport, so getting there was very convenient and quick. The gym is very well equipped and there are thick mattresses under every obstacle, so I was finally able to practice my jumps with confidence. The staff is very nice and helpful, I hope I will have the opportunity to visit many more times :)

Fantastic place for kids to learn and stay fit. Great staff, friendly and enough space for parents to wait. I highly recommend this place. Bring your kids here as they get stronger and feel happier.
Sid — Google review
It is a pretty awesome place with two big halls. The only thing I disliked is their lockers which don't have a lock, you could bring your own but during your first time you don't know that and thereby risk your stuff getting stolen. (Edit: they do have locks which you can lent so that is nice and also makes 5 out of 4 stars)
Anton S — Google review

His performances are designed for audiences of all ages, starting from children as young as four. With shows that last around 45 minutes, Daniel captivates his audience with family-friendly magic tricks and delightful balloon animals. At a recent wedding party, what began as entertainment primarily for the kids quickly transformed into an engaging experience for all guests.
We engaged Daniel for a birthday event and were amazed by his magic show! He was extremely entertaining and engaging. Most of all, his magic show left all of us in awe. Definitely an incredible magician!

Hello, Daniel brought pure magic to our company retreat! His enchanting performance left us spellbound. With a perfect blend of skill, humor, and personalized touches, Daniel's magic added an unforgettable spark to our event. Our team is still buzzing with excitement, and we wholeheartedly recommend Daniel for any occasion. Five stars for an enchanting experience! Thank youuu

Daniel performed at our wedding party. Originally planned as a show mainly to entertain the kids, when Daniel started, all of our guests joined in and were most fascinated by Daniel‘s excellent performance. Not only were we impressed by the astonishing, family-friendly magic, but also enjoyed the funny jokes and that he involved the audience, both kids and adults, throughout the show. We warmly recommend Daniel. Thank you, Daniel, you created lots of lasting memories!!
Stefan S — Google review
Cool show, the kids loved it! What I especially liked was that it was interactive and many kids could participate at the show.
Nils B — Google review
Daniel was amazing. He came for our son’s fifth birthday to Bern to entertain a few kids in German and English. Kids were in awe of Daniel’s magic and even more so for those who got to be personally involved in magic tricks. Daniel even taught the kids a magic routine to impress their parents and siblings. We can highly recommend Daniel for any kids event.
Noé L — Google review
We invited Daniell for a birthday party for our son. He was pefect in interacting with kids and maintaining their attention. It was not easy to do this for a group of very active 9-year old boys. Kids and adults have immensely enjoyed his show, and the adluts felt like kids again. Everything was perfectly organised with lots of attention to details and a good sense of humour. This was definitely the best highlight of our birthday party.
Ilya M — Google review
Just how did he do that? Even knowing there must be some trick involved, Daniels magic was just fascinating! He entertained us during an extended lunch - fun for kids and great-grandparents alike.
Benjamin V — Google review
Surprisingly, Daniel was available at short notice for a 40th birthday party—and we are so happy (and lucky) that he was! He did two close-up magic and mentalism shows in our home and was truly mesmerising and mystifying; Daniel's sleight of hand was astonishingly good, his tricks were inventive and new to us, and above all, he is a great entertainer who gave an engaging, amusing, enthralling performance. Very highly recommended!

Did the explorer and the shooter full body vr games. Highly enjoyed both games, favourite was probably the explorer. Puzzles were fun and graphics were good. Staff are amazing and very helpful throughout the activity. Only downside might be the price, but it's a great experience anyway!

If you're looking for a different and exciting team event try the VR center in Basel! We were a group of 12 and had 2 hours to play. With plenty of stations to choose from everyone was was involved in an activity. From zombie battles and sport car racing to the full VR experience in an ancient temple the team were blown away by the tricks your brain can play on you! Snacks were offered throughout and the time went by so quickly that we'd like to go back!
SACHA M — Google review
The full body experience was quite cool and fun. This goes for the indiana jones type one and the zombie shooter. It’s definitely a cool experience actually walking around whilst being in a virtual world. The sitting “crime investigation “ thing was awful though, really buggy, horrible storyline and puzzles that dont benefit at all it being in VR. And after some really messed up visuals and bad story it’s suddenly over. So full body 4-5 stars, 1-2 stars for the sitting one. From a price point of view its very expensive but in a way worth it for an occasional experience (the full body). For the seated one i actually felt a bit cheated and its should be a freebie thing you do while waiting or just remove it all together . Staff was pretty nice the second time i went. The first time it the must have had a long day and had zero chill.

were there as a group of friends, highly unprofessional staff, unfriendly and stressed. had to wait for 45 minutes even though we had a reservation. I doubt that the huge number of reviews with 5 stars are real. I do not recommend

If I could give a -1 rating, I would. At the beginning of the game, employees are not at all interested in whether everything is fine and whether everyone can interact with each other and objects. And if you are late, then you will not be offered to choose a game to your taste from the options that are left, but they will choose the worst one for you. And as a compensation of 20% discount, but you know there is no desire to go there again. This is the worst game center ever.

VR Game was nice, but too short. We were also not allowed to play the game we booked and we’re not given a choice. What I did not appreciate was the owner screaming at me for several minutes because I was about to remove the backpack (not breaking) after the game while he was distracting us and constantly trying to sell us another game that we did not want. Obviously does not know how to treat people. His employee was nice, anyway my friends and I will certainly not come back and the guy ruined the entire experience for me. Edit: we were there as a complete group 30 mins before the game started, not a minute too late as the owner claims now.

My first experience with virtual reality with my colleague. We were there and were instructed. We played 3 games with 2 other people who were there by chance. The experience was fun and exciting at the same time. In my very first attempt years ago when VR was new, I had severe motion sickness and had to abort. This time everything was fine and I had no problems with it. I will certainly be back.

I have asked the cancel our reservation of 10 due to the rising number of COVID cases. We were not a private company event but rather private individuals who wanted to celebrate my son’s birthday. Two of the guests are in the risk profile. I asked to cancel 16 days before the event and is being asked to pay 100% of the fee. How could I do this if all individuals have offered to pay for themselves, I can’t ask them for money for something that is not going to happen. They also did not have any cancellation policy on their website / email exchanges. Very disappointing. Look at my Google review history and this is the 1st time I give a bad review. I used to work in customer service so I understand it can be difficult but 16 days before the event should be a reasonable time to cancel the event. Even hotels are accommodating during this period.

Rock climbing gym
ELYS Boulderloft is a great place for bouldering enthusiasts of all levels. It offers a challenging experience for both beginners and experienced climbers. The facility includes a 350m exercise area with a forest and mountain theme, providing kids with an exciting space to play when the weather is unfavorable. Visitors can enjoy the convenience of on-site amenities such as a picnic area and a café serving quality beverages. The children's area is particularly impressive, offering numerous activities for kids to enjoy.
My only regret is waiting until the last day to visit. This is an excellent bouldering gym for all skill levels. I loved the combination of more-strictly graded climbs and mystery (?) climbs, as well as a few competition-style climbs. The gym itself is spacious and creatively designed. Staff members were very welcoming. Nearly had the gym to myself on a Friday afternoon!

Update Jan 28: Can't stand that attitude of someone feeling harassed (in what way exactly? I was talking and asking questions (behaviour). What are the specifics?) and then everyone is asked to do whatever that someone wants to make that someone feel "safe". What would you do if I said that I feel harassed by ELYS Boulderloft existing? Will you then immediately close the place down after consuming your drink?! Can you see how ridiculous that attitude is? Well done in taking the top rank in peak wokeness! I feel harassed by all the other people around me, can you please ask them to leave. 🤦🌈👿 Lovely place with many wonderful people. I had delicious hot chocolate and beer and great conversations with young and old alike. Somehow an employee I was chatting with at the bar didn't feel comfortable with me around. Instead of just asking me to not chat or go back to my table they asked me to leave the place. They said I had taken a photo of her which I hadn't and was even willing to prove. So if you come here, don't look at any of the employees in a way they don't like or you might be asked to leave 🤔 Woke squared?!

Great spot if you're into bouldering! They've got some longer routes over ascending mats, which is pretty cool. The vibe is always friendly, and the atmosphere is great. Plus, they have climbing playgroups for kids. The only downside is that it gets pretty warm in the summer, but hey, you can't have everything.
Evan M — Google review
I really like the vibe of this place, other climbers are really friendly l, and the staff y kind and helpful. Mybe my route standards are a little low, but i love the routes they make, and there is more than plenty to climb around. Id love to take a course here one day, the trainers seem to really know what they are doing.

Such a pleasant space! I was staying in Basel for a few days and ended up climbing here twice. The first time, I stayed for 8 hours and the second visit, for 4. I can only speak English but the staff were very friendly and helpful. Lea, who was there on the first day, was amazing! They had a summer community comp going on where you can use an app to track your sends. There were problems in various styles and were really well set. There’s a good choice of snacks and decent coffee to enjoy during breaks so you can refuel and jump back on the wall. It did get stuffy and hot when they closed the huge door on the far end. I think this was due to the rain forecast. I had a lovely experience and would definitely come back when in Basel. Day passes are very affordable especially if you go before 2pm.
Collin H — Google review
Very good place for kids when the weather is bad. My daughter is just under 4 years old and she fully enjoyed the kids area which is rather big and offering plenty of options. I also grabbed a cappuccino and it was really nice. I quickly explored the adult area and it seems quite legit. Fee is 8.- for a kid and 5.- for a non-active adult (that’s a bit non-sense IMO). Overall a very good experience and nice discovery, will be back with friends. Oh and the sooner you go, the better.
Alexandre R — Google review
Visited this fun while I was traveling for work and it was a ton of fun. The staff were really helpful getting checked in and acclimated. They use a color system, rather than the V scale I'm used to, but it made sense after a few minutes. There were a lot of routes of various levels, and some really interesting and dynamic wall geometries. Oh, and they're open until 11pm, which was great for getting in a good climb after a work dinner. They have a massive overhang that I tried to capture with a photo, but I couldn't do it justice. Normally I would say an overhang that large would be dangerously irresponsible, but they did something really cool where the mats rise at a 45 also, below the wall, so as get further up the wall you're never really more than 3 meters from the mat, and if you fall, you just gently slide back down. After I finished climbing it also discovered a huge, really cool kids area. If I'd had my kids with me, I think they could have spend hours there.
Justin M — Google review
I’ve been training at Elys for about 3 years. The location, the training equipment, and the setup are all very cool. But the route setting could be improved a lot. Sometimes it hardly feels like climbing anymore.

Children aged 8 and up can enjoy engaging scavenger hunts, while older kids aged 12 and above can dive into thrilling escape room scenarios. The venue provides snacks, drinks, and even birthday cakes to enhance the celebration. Visitors have praised the warm welcome from Mr.
We were made incredibly welcome by Mr. Alex Bammerlin, the manager and his team at Breakout Basel. Before starting our adventure, we had an excellent debriefing, which prepared us as well as possible for what was to come. We were a small group from Bottmingen, and thanks to their flexibility, we were able to form two teams and experience two different atmospheres. The team monitoring in the escape room was much appreciated, and made the experience even more enjoyable. We had a fantastic and exciting time. I highly recommend this venue, whether for corporate events, family outings, or just with friends. It's really great! A big thank you to the Breakout Basel team for making our day unforgettable. We look forward to coming back soon for more adventures. All the best, #B4YOUDISCOVERY

Interesting experience and very friendly staff. I had my son's birthday party (9 years old) and the kids loved the adventure (asking for more). It has a whole underground space dedicated to hosting the party. The cake was excellent (freelance provider suggested by the company). Would recommend for group and team building events, as well as parties.

My family went there to celebrate my daughter 13th birthday - we were a small group of adults and early teenagers. We loved it! The personal explain well how the game is, we could ask for help if needed. It is a time work! I think everybody above 10 yo would enjoy such a place. It is located near SBB (10min walk). The down side is parking. If you come by car, you probably would have to park in Post parking. There is no "drop off" :/ aside from that, is a great place.
Mariana K — Google review
Had a great time here a few weeks ago on a team building event for work. The activity we participated in took about 1.5 hours and involved a decent walk around Basel. The clues for the most part were challenging but logical. My only complaint was in a couple of cases the answer to a clue needed to be excessively exact (e.g. we answered a question with "tears" instead of "tear" and it didn't count).
J B — Google review
Birthday party for 15 pre teen kids = total madness. But the parents were spared. What else do you need ! We all loved the game room. The children loved the escape rooms. There was some bickering and grumpiness as it happens with that age group, but none left unhappy or scarred with a bad experience. It was all fun ! And absolutely inspiring activities.
Aparna K — Google review
We had a team event with 12 persons which we split into two groups versus each other. What we did not like so much was the one group had to wait while the other was currently in the room. Luckily drinks and riddles were available so the waiting time was not so long. The rooms are built with great detail and teamwork is required to get out. All in all it was a very great event with a lot of fun.

Incredible experience that we've done in VR city Basel. We were a group of 13, and we've done the "ultimate event". - The center was supposed to be closed, but the team opened the center only for us ! - We've ordered some pizzas to be delivered directly on place. - It was so great that we've asked to do an additional 15 minutes session to kill more zombies :) Nils and his team were friendly and professional, everyone enjoyed a lot this team event.

Very interesting experience. Never thought that I would sweat by playing around half an hour. Space and scenarios are well designed. Groups of 4 or 8 are best. There are two areas for 4 people and 1 area for 8 at the same time plus 2 racing seats. So 18 can be entertained at once. If more, the rest can enjoy drinks and snacks from the bar. There is a sitting area and also a closet with lockers to put away your belongings.

Really nice escape rooms and really great team. I did the dream and the cell and we appreciated both of them. Fun puzzles asking both to search the room and think with your brain and really nice staff. Highly recommend!
Camille V — Google review
We did both rooms today and were very impressed. With 4 people we paid 65 each for two rooms which is absolutely fair. 4 people is optimal, more will be quite crowded in the rooms. The rooms are lovingly decorated and the riddles are quite innovative. The mood and story is really consistent. Compared to the average room this is a 5-star experience. There is exactly one set of rooms on Basel which is probably better and more advanced hence our 4-star review. Staff is helpful at the right time and super friendly plus has a reasonable hygiene concept. However, highly recommended!

We have organized a Business event with Paint It Easy in Basel called "Paint and Sip". The activity was a team activity: we chose a model, then it has been split in the number of participants, and at the end, we assembly the individual pieces to obtain a collaborative masterpiece. While doing so, drinks & finger food was provided. It is also possible to ask them to set up a screen if you need to show a presentation. I would like to highlight the kindness and efficiency of ALL the staff, they definitely contributed to the success. Our clients did appreciate the originality of the activity.

I was on holiday and came from Zurich to Basel to paint a Gustav Klimt piece, and Patricia, the wonderful and talented instructor, went above and beyond. The class was set to paint Mother and Child, but when she found out I had The Kiss tattooed on my arm and had come from Zurich just for the class, she offered to let me paint The Kiss instead — and even gave the whole class the choice! Patricia created such a warm, welcoming atmosphere, encouraged everyone to connect, and made the evening feel like a creative community. Plus, you’re welcomed with a drink, which is such a nice touch. I left with a painting I love and a heart full of gratitude. Highly recommend!

(Translated by Google) I came with two oil paintings and a Nepalese thangka (picture in a blue frame) and was immediately given very friendly and competent advice. Even though the owner works alone, I didn't have to wait long for it to be completed. I am very happy with the processing of the images because the results demonstrate high quality and skilful craftsmanship. I was so enthusiastic about the lady and her business that I spontaneously brought an already framed picture (lithograph with moon and sun) from my apartment to her in order to have the glass replaced with a higher quality one. This happened immediately and I was able to take the picture back with me after a chat. Since I like to take pictures with me from vacation, I will definitely come here again.

(Translated by Google) The playground itself is really nice and the area had a lot of potential. Unfortunately, the overall impression is severely affected by the homeless shelters. It is common for drunks to sleep directly on the playground benches, making the atmosphere very unpleasant for children and families. I personally find it absolutely unacceptable! Due to this situation, I can unfortunately only give one star, even though the place could actually be nice. What a shame! Ceramic manufacturer
Ceramico is the perfect destination for a fun and creative birthday celebration for children aged 6 and up. Starting at CHF 26 per child, kids can unleash their artistic flair by painting their own pottery pieces like plates, bowls, or cups. After decorating, these creations are fired and ready for pickup in just 3-5 days. The atmosphere at Ceramico is relaxed and inviting, making it an enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
Ask the community I loved the experience! The studio provides all the things necessary for the ceramic painting! They give a 15 mins session on how to use the colors and how to get certain effects. They also have a range of ceramics for kids! I am sure it would be a great experience for them as well. Also, you should be prepared to get your final product, because they blaze in batches!

A booked and already confirmed children's birthday party is simply canceled. The party is already organized, invitations have been sent out, all the children have confirmed – and then a cancellation simply arrives via email, not even a phone call. You can remove me from your customer list. There are other places in Basel where you can paint ceramics. I think that's a real shame. (Original) Ich bin seit den Anfängen von Ceramico Kundin und habe schon viele Stunden dort verbracht und viel Geld ausgegeben. Das passt soweit.
