It’s both a very important ancient fortress and an art place with different exhibits dedicated to modern art. I would say that it’s worth it as you can know the historical of the place, enjoy a breathtaking view and walk around. Overall it feels a bit empty as some rooms have no exhibits but it’s definitely a must see place.

A really well preserved palace, with grand walls surrounding it. Immediately as you walk up the stairs you are greeted with panoramic views of the orange tiled city of Perpignan. The tickets are very reasonably priced. You are able to walk around the courtyard in the centre, and around the whole perimeter of the palace, all areas are open. There are multiple signs describing the historical significance of each room.

Palace of the Kings of Majorca, a great visit, the palace was well maintained, it felt totally authentic throughout. I climbed to the top of the tower and got an amazing view. There was a light show in one of the ground floor rooms. Outside the entrance, the pine trees were being protected from processionary caterpillars, which was also fascinating. Toilets good, entry price good.

An absolutely lovely museum in the heart of the old city, with thought-provoking curation - especially in relationship to the cultural identity of Perpignan. We were lucky to visit during the Maillol - Picasso exhibition, wich was the perfect size and scope, and quite enlightening.

A solid collection featuring, to me, some hidden-gem artists and cool hidden-gem works by Picasso (who is not even my favourite). The museum itself is nice, well organized and calm. Wholeheartedly recommend!

This is an excellent museum, so many interesting and important pieces. I was very impressed indeed, and being open on Sunday was a plus. In January I had the whole place to myself, which was wonderful for the mood.

This is one of those attractions where you don't expect much but head on in to kill some time. You might say I was pleasantly surprised that the Castillet was actually well curated and highly interesting. Our group was also fortunate to have the unofficial Mayor of Perpignan Lluis Colet, the great man came out of retirement for the day to be our guide. Be warned the climb to the top is a serious workout but the view from the top is worth the effort.

However, I was expecting a bit more inside — the space is smaller than I imagined, and there’s not much to explore. Still, it’s worth a quick visit for the lovely views and the chance to appreciate its significance to Perpignan.

Beautiful military castle in the centre of town. It is 2 euro entry or occasionally free as I found out when I visited. There is 142 steps up to the top so this is not a step free attraction. At each part as you go up the stairs it goes into different rooms showcasing different pieces of history about the castle. Overall it is worth visiting as you get great views over Perpignan.

A must to your visit at Perpignan! The place is so fancy and relaxing. We recommend going to the garden and taking a break there. Also they offer leaflets with plenty of information about the history and the building.

Strangest museum idea I've ever seen. The door is locked with a sign directing you to the reception but when you walk into the reception two people who are sitting at a desk doing nothing don't even look up at you even when you say bonjour. They then proceed to ignore you until you finally leave. I see I'm not the first person to leave a review describing such an experience so you would think the management might want to look into this curious fashion of running things. Meanwhile, not much point in going unless you're ready to beg to be let in.

A must visit location if you are visiting Perpignan. The three story restored house contains excellent professional presentations of the history of the town as well as some interactive elements for children. It's free to enter. Start with the reception on the left as you enter the building.

Give it a miss. FYI they don't even respect their opening hours: woman had locked the reception and was ignoring everyone despite the sign clearly saying they were open.

Not helpful at all. The door of visit's entrance was closed, we checked twice at different time in the day. Finally we asked for help at the reception, and the staff said wait I'll open. We waited for 10minutes and the entrance 's door was still locked. If the museum is locked, why not jsut close it instead of pretending opening it? At least today, multiple groups of people came and left without being able to enter the indoor museum. They are having a good strategy opening the small garden and reception desk, without opening the real museum.

Not really a museum, it's the building itself that is a piece of Perpignan's architectural heritage. The carved frieze and the small courtyard garden are worth a visit. Upstairs there is a miniature model of Perpignan as it was in the middle ages. There are often exhibitions to visit too.

We wanted to go there with the dog after seeing the nice pictures. The area where dogs are allowed however is not nice at all. So we left again, disappointed

The park seemed good at first, it had beautiful plants and trees and everything was organized. However when we got farther into the park we realized that you have to pay to further explore it, there was also a stray dog running around the place that scared my dog. There were also a few houses inside of the park, not sure if anyone lives there though.

The cinema Castillet is a great cinema, in the heart of Perpignan city. The cinema continues to showcase a brillant offering of films that may not have the big marketing budget of the more commercial and franchise films. Seats are super comfy and well spaced and staff are friendly.

It's a quaint piece of local history. Apparently there was a king who could not fit through the giant door without getting off his chariot. It was a big deal. There was a lot of businesses and touristy things to do around.

Made us stand in the lobby until the time it said the film starts. Then they make you watch 20 minutes of commercials before the trailers start...old theatre set up but comfy seats.

Dinky little cinema in the centre of Perpignan. Shows many films in their original version with French subtitles, so great for foreigners with limited French, who would be lost with French dubbing. Saw Blade Runner 2049 there yesterday good experience. Limited refreshments, but seats comfortable for a film lasting nearly 3 hours.

Like so many of the many magnificent churches in the region there is the sense of peace and serenity inside the building. The ornate sculptures and altars are amazing - too much to see in a short visit.

My wife and I took our 2.5 year old daughter and she loved it. Very sweet park clearly loved and enjoyed by the staff. My daughter told the two lovely ladies who were on duty all about the pirates stealing the key from the dragon but that we found the key and told the dragon where it was. Only negative for her was the dragon was green and not red. Very nice place to spend an hour or so walking round the pixies and unicorns. Other reviews moaned about the price, but what can you get for less than 10€ pp - our daughter was free. Well worth a visit. Thank you.

good place to go with your kids. ours is 4 years and she love it.it has a vintage sense but qe love it. the entrance is a little expensive 12 adults and 9.50 kids over 3 years. under 3 years is for free. even with this price we recommend it. it was a lovely place

This is perfect for children 3-8 years old. Our son loved it. He kept on talking about the dragon and the key that saved the dreams. Absolutely amazing. Simple and great imagition stimulation. Both ladies that explained the process to our son were great storytellers. He was totally amazed.

Great fun - even when the weather is bad - went with my two nieces (eight and six) and their parents in a downpour and we had a great time. The bi-lingual puzzles are excellent and my wife and I actually got a bit lost in the maze! Very easy to find, genuinely delightful atmosphere and highly recommended.

It is terrible. Don't do it! Way overprised! 8.50 for kids and 10.50 for adults. You can't do anything, you can only look at statues of elves and do a looking game... that's the only thing. The train was good value and the audio guide given was descriptive and understandable. It was a good way to spend just under a hour exploring what is around Perpignan. I would recommend going on the train.

A good place for young kids especially on a rainy day! The food was decent and not too expensive. Our four year old girl and 18 month boy really enjoyed it. It has a secure section just for very young kids to play freely but safely away from the bigger kids who get quite bouyant!

Don't have any food, so you get there with children's and should go to another place if they hungry when playing on playground.....its very strange
