La Taverna di San Giuseppe is a renowned restaurant located in the historic center of Siena, Tuscany. Housed in an ancient Etruscan building from the 3rd century B.C.E., this charming brick-and-stone space features an atmospheric Roman brick walls and an Etruscan cellar. The restaurant offers elevated Tuscan dishes, making it a must-visit for food enthusiasts and history lovers alike.
La Taverna was one of the most delicious, beautiful, and unique restaurants we experienced in all of Italy ~ and we traveled between Rome, Florence, and the Amalfi Coast! Nestled in a charming, historic corner of Siena (just a short walk from a convenient parking garage), this restaurant is a true hidden gem that combines medieval ambiance with world-class cuisine. From start to finish, the meal was spectacular. We began with a rich and flavorful onion soup and perfectly sautéed tomatoes with creamy buffalo cheese. For the main course, the osso buco with polenta was a standout: melt-in-your-mouth, hearty, and satisfying. We also had a side of baked veggies. Desserts were equally unforgettable ~ a baked pear infused with wine, served alongside a delicious ice cream and a unique, crunchy Tiramisu that I’ve never had before. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is warm, rustic, and romantic ~ like stepping back in time. We had made a reservation a month in advance, and it’s worth noting that they offer two seating times for both lunch and dinner, which helps maintain a relaxed, intimate dining experience. Highly recommend La Taverna to anyone visiting Siena. Hope to return!

Best meal I’ve had all year while traveling the globe. Food was delicious. We had the Tuscan soup called Ribollita, Ravioli with saffron sauce and the braised beef. All were amazing. Also had wonderful wines by the glass. Tough to get a spot here so best to make reservations in advance or roll the dice and get there half hour before opening and they might be able to squeeze you in but low likelihood.

I was here 10 years ago and it had much more authenticity at that time, it is so much more touristy now… food came approx 4 mins after we ordered it (primi piati, so pasta, not cold appetizers). Food is ok, far from special. Service quick and very good. Wine list impressive, some great value finds can be seen.
Ines N — Google review
We ate pecorino souffle with pear, tagliata with truffle and cinghiale al latte. The first and the latest were just amazing, dishes with flavours and textures very different from the ones i usually have. The tagliata was disappointing, don't get me wrong, it was also good but since it was the most requested dish and also the most expensive i was expecting more from it. I also enjoy my meat rare, and since the plate was really hot, the meat continues cooking in it which i didn't quite understood the point. Overall, an excellent dinner with high quality ingredients and good food prep.
Joao F — Google review
One of the best restaurants in Siena, been there from recommendation and I am very happy with outcome. It wasn’t cheap but definitely worth every penny. We ordered some appetizers, after that a great Fiorentina steak with freshly cut truffles and long cooked beef in Brunello wine with potatoes puree with cheese and truffles. Of course we ordered a bottle of Chianti Classico. Staff was very nice and we had a great time. Great recommendation for every one. But it is absolutely needed to make a reservation beforehand.
Aleksander L — Google review
It's fine. We booked a rezzie 2 months in advance and got excited. Service was good but we felt rushed at a 7pm reservation. The food is just - blah. Maybe this is classic Italian but it's just not for me. Cauliflower soup as a free starter, was what it sounds like. We got the tomato flan (skip it), the lasagna was passable but I didn't finish it, the truffle gnocchi was flavorless and then braised beef in red wine sauce was just that. Very small portions for the prices and an uninspired side salad if I've ever seen one. 100 euros better spent anywhere else. They probably serve some really great food but I couldn't find it.
T G — Google review
There were lots of great places to eat while we were in Italy but our trip to La taverna di San Giuseppe was one of my favorites! I'll start by saying I love truffle & as you can see from this photo, there was plenty on my lunch :) We arrived right before their lunch service ended (we're sorry;) but the staff took us right in & made sure we had a great experience. The soufflé al pecorino fresco di Pienza e salsa di pere Is a great way to start. Warm, cheesy with a little sweet from the pear. It was fantastic! My steak was cooked perfectly & the truffle added just the right amount of earthiness. I had the 4 little dessert sampler but should have gotten another soufflé...haha. When we're back in Italy we're definitely going to spend more time in Siena & eat here again!

This is my favorite restaurant in the world. Its atmosphere is so special, highlighting the beauty of Siena, and we had the most spectacular food. The staff went out of their way to celebrate my partner’s birthday! Thank you and we cannot wait to return one day!

Gino Cacino di Angelo is a must-visit for food enthusiasts touring Siena, offering an impressive selection of meats and cheeses. The staff is known for their excellent English and willingness to recommend dishes to foreign visitors. Whether it's a sandwich filled with roast pork or chicken, or a platter of Italian cold cuts and cheese paired with a bottle of Italian red wine, this spot promises a delightful culinary experience.
This was the best sandwich I have ever had in my life. Gino is an artist, making every sandwich with care and the freshest ingredients. The caramelized onions and sun dried tomatoes were the perfect combination.
Katie B — Google review
The sandwiches here were fantastic, clearly made with care by the owner, who was also the only staff member. However, our visit was unfortunately soured by the owner's unwelcoming and grumpy attitude. Even as the only customers, we felt very uncomfortable as foreign tourists. It's hard to say if it was a language barrier, a cultural difference, or something else entirely, but the experience was a letdown. Plus, the restaurant was hard to find due to its unmarked entrance. This was particularly disappointing since we'd been drawn in by online reviews and the owner's funny responses.
Daoliang Y — Google review
I wish I showed up hungrier! The sandwiches are huge and MAGICAL. Order with wine/beer and grab a table. The entrance we found to be a little confusing, but google maps has the right location!

AUTHENTIC. There’s an extensive menu and everything is provided in English as well. It can be a little intimidating but be kind and polite and you with receive that in return. It’s a one man show, but you can tell through the food that this is an absolute labor of love. Very very good.
Adri L — Google review
Best panini in Italy! Amazing local spot in Siena — the panini were absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. The owner was super friendly and made the experience unforgettable!
Mehdi N — Google review
This is a very special place. The sandwiches are indescribably delicious, the quality of the (mostly local, Tuscan) ingredients is extraordinary and the whines that Angelo offers are of the highest quality, worth every euro. There are several menues with a wealth of choice for the sandwiches with unique, delicious, creative combinations of flavours. I took for instance the sandwich with tartare di salsiccia, pistacchio, stracciatella and a hint of honey. We return every year to this place: Gino Cacino di Angelo makes Siena even more beautiful! It is clear that Angelo runs his shop with a lot of care, dedication and passion. Thank you for another special experience! We will be back!
Thomas T — Google review
Some of the best sandwiches I’ve had in my life! We had the tasting menu and it didn’t disappoint. Gino makes sandwiches like they’re works of art - and his are. Incredibly delicious, will be dreaming of them.
Georgia O — Google review
We went there around 1500; i believe the owner Gino was outside and kindly letting us inside in the air conditioning room. Then he gave us lots of options good menu. There are some english menu, but the special one was in Italian. Thus, it was tricky to read at first. But he then patiently explain the menu one by one. In the end we went for several meat options with pesto inside. However, one the special panini was vegetarian one. It got great aubergine and cheese in it. There was no one when we visited, so the atmosphere was a bit chill. They have various wine and snacks aside the sandwiches. Recommend you to come!

L'Oro Di Siena is a charming restaurant in Siena that offers a menu filled with simple yet delicious traditional Senese and Italian dishes. The cozy and candlelit dining room provides a tranquil setting, perfect for enjoying a meal. The restaurant serves an array of Tuscan cuisines including pasta, pizza, and hearty main courses like Scaloppine di vitello ai porcini or bistecca fiorentina.
An amazing restaurant in Siena, possibly the best restaurant that we visited during a tour of Tuscany. Matteo has a real passion for high quality ingredients, Tuscan cuisine and quality wine. Ask Matteo to recommend a wine for each course, you won't regret it!

We asked for vegetarian options and when we arrived they had caringly prepared a vegetarian menu as a suggestion. Of course we chose it and it was absolutely delicious. Mama is in the kitchen preparing this delicious food and her son is front of house. He recommended an exquisite wine and has a great knowledge of wines. The service was top notch. A wonderful experience. Highly recommended.
B J — Google review
Wow what a place! Nothing like you've ever seen before. It was a food experience more than just a dinner. The waiter is the chef's son and the mom buys the groceries every day and cooks fresh only for a specific number of dishes. Every bite was fantastic and I was amazed. I highly highly recommend going there, but make a reservation ahead of time.
Itamar N — Google review
We have been in Italy for almost two weeks, and this restaurant stands out as a special dining experience. The quality of the ingredients is very high, the presentation is beautiful, and the service is excellent. The restaurant has a limited number of tables, so you feel very special to be eating there. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting Siena!
Caitlin K — Google review
Thanks for the nice experience, clean and tidy place, very high quality of food, also the price is high, but to eat well you need to spend adequately. The ricotta croquettes were really from another planet, the cabbage and purple potato cream soup was also very good Thanks

This was hands down one of the best meals we had—not just in Siena, but anywhere. The detail and presentation in every dish were absolutely stunning, and the flavors were even better. You can tell how much care goes into everything they serve. Out of all the places we tried in Siena, this was by far our favorite. We’ll definitely be back!
Jared L — Google review
Absolutely wonderful experience. The small family-run restaurant impresses with a wonderful culinary experience and excellent service. You can't buy food here. Here you buy the memory and experience of a wonderful time. Each dish is described in detail what it consists of and where it comes from. The wine presentation is at a master level. A place where you can feel passion and love. Bows to the owners.

Dear ORO Di Siena & Matteo! Just home across the street from your brilliant restaurant! Tonight all items were well beyond expectation, a fantastic Ch. Classico 2011(your recommendation), the pasta share and our mains: stuffed rabbit (heavenly) and the veal stuffed pepper fruit were all unbelievably pleasing. Thank you very much for a rare pleasure, and please send your white Fiat to Thailand! Dreamcar! Sopee & Martin

Ristorante/pizzeria All'Orto de' Pecci is a unique dining spot located just a short walk from the bustling Piazza del Campo in Siena. The restaurant is set within a tranquil green space that was once part of the Psychiatric Hospital of Siena, where patients tended to fruit and vegetable gardens. Today, this area has been transformed into a peaceful oasis for visitors of all ages to enjoy.
This was hands down one of the best restaurants I have been to in all of Italy. Located down the hill the valley of Siena, I initially thought it was a park but was surprised to find a restaurant. The food is amazing, if you are on a budget you can get a large portion for a cheap price. Surrounded by grassy fields and gardens and sculptures and farm animals it is the best vibe. Feels very local, peaceful, and family oriented which I loved. Could not recommend enough I came here for both nights I spent in Siena!!
Georgia P — Google review
Really good experience just outside the city walls, genuine we'll cooked food. As I understand from a cooperative farming the garden, set next to a small park with bunnies, donkeys and ducks. Pizza was excellent and so was the tasting platter w. Pecorino cheese, the beef steak sliced w. Rosemary and the pork chop was great. Nice service and option to take home food. Try their craft beer.
Mikkel S — Google review
We had pasta and pizza as a starter 😃 My wife’s Pici caccio e Pepe where a huge portion and super delicious. Pizza was good as well but I liked the pici more. Good that we ordered a steak for sharing as well, which was super tender. The waiter spoke great English and was very friendly. Very nice and quite park around. Good for families.
Max W — Google review
It is popular among local community. Prices are good and quality as well. The portions might be a little bigger. The staff is quite chaotic, but it also add to the typical italian spirit.

Hidden at the end of a walk way with gates , the food was amazing , the service was on point and the views were better than some of the pricier places.

Surrounded by beautiful countryside, the atmosphere is impeccable! Sharply priced and very close to the cathedral, rustic dishes and friendly service will make your day!

We’ve had lunch and dinner three times over two trips to Sienna at All’Orto de’ Pecci. The place is located all the way down from the Piazza, in a green area. Feels almost like being in a village. The cuisine is simple and of high quality. They’ve changed their menu from one trip to another, and not for the worst. The service is quick and attentive. A lovely place to have good food! Reservations are possible.

The perfect place for wine lovers, the Osteria Enoteca Sotto Le Fonti offers more than 100 different bottles of wine on their menu. Some of them are available at the glass. The restaurant is a small family-owned and operated restaurant that specializes in seasonal local cuisine. To try a classic dish associated with Siena, try the wild boar ragù, Vegetable Ribollita soup or Florentine steak.
One of the few places that specify where their beef comes from. Since my family were looking for an authentic bistecca with chianina beef, we chose Sotto Le Fonti for our dinner. We reserved a table by whatsapp which they were very responsive. The atmosphere is very warm and homely filled with laughter and chatter from friendly locals. The lady owner is so welcoming of guests. She makes sure to accomodate customers as best as she can. She even showed us her favorite spot where the sunset light hits only the castle which creates an interesting landscape. She understands english and we had no trouble communicating. We ordered the ravioli, a bistecca alla fiorentina with chianina beef and she even kindly took our request to have pici pasta with their pesto sauce. We ended our meal with their limoncello tiramisu which was very light and a perfect way to end a heavy meal. Everything was so delicous and it really hit the spot for us. The lovely lady owner even called a taxi for us since she noticed we were struggling to find one. This was by far our best dinner experience during our 2 week vacation.
Sooyoon K — Google review
A beautiful gem in Siena. This family restaurant is charming and delicious. They are heart-warming people who make you feel welcomed into their place. The food is fresh and declious! The tirimisu is the best desert I have ever had. I can't recommend this restaurant enough. 😊
Mariah M — Google review
My wife and I had the carbonara and truffles pasta, and it was absolutely amazing—one of the best carbonaras I’ve ever had. They also served a tiramisu with limoncello, which was unique and something you don’t often find in North America. Just a heads-up: price-wise it was reasonable, but there was an additional 10% fee added to the menu price.
Kyoowan Y — Google review
Wow!! This place was amazing. Easy to get to with convenient parking across the street. The family that runs this osteria is very kind and helpful. They really care and you feel like you are at home. All of our food was so delicious. Words and pictures cannot capture how amazing the food is. We are excited to come back!
Kayleigh A — Google review
The loveliest restaurant in Siena. My husband and I visited this restaurant two years ago when we were dating, and on our honeymoon trip to Italy, which included one night in Siena, this was the restaurant we chose to revisit. We loved the family running this restaurant (their daughter makes all the desserts). TLDR: what to order - the home made pasta is out of this world, the steak is their star and the rotating medley of desserts are the undeniable cherry on top. Last time we went we split two pastas, one steak, one dessert, one bottle of wine. It was perfect for a couple! 10/10 don’t even think about it - just go here!!
Sophia M — Google review
You have to walk two minutes outside the walls of Siena to this wonderful restaurant with what we considered to be the best pasta and the famous Florentine stake. It was massive and awesome! Back a second time because the food here is so good! Husband is the Chef and wife is the front of house. She's German and speaks the language as well as English and Italian, of course. Pasta is homemade, meat courses are spectacular, produce is home grown.
Silvina N — Google review
We have been to Siena several times over the years and this a firm favourite during our trips. At least one dinner and sometimes two per stay. Family run and you might meet all of them in the evening. Great food and variety on the menu. The Florentine steaks look mighty! Britte (co owner) has a great sense of humour and pops backwards and forwards to check that all is well during the meal. Great wine selection. Just beside Santa Caterina car park and very close to the escalator. Firmly recommend.
Raymond H — Google review
Best meal ive had in Siena Simple food done VERY well. Which is the Tuscany way. All local ingredients and seasonal. Chef knows his craft and his partner Britta who runs the front of house is truly lovely. Don't take my word for it . Take a wander down the hill and eat like a local.

La Prosciutteria Crudi e Bollicine Siena offers a truly authentic Tuscan experience, specializing in sandwiches, small bites, antipasti, Tuscan wine, and local cheeses. The rustic decor with bare brick walls and cured meats for decoration creates a charming atmosphere. It's the perfect spot for lunch or an aperitivo.
We had an amazing lunch with excellent recommendations both for food and wine. A must visit while touring Siena!

Great food, great wine. Pretty hard-core mind you. Not the place for vegetarian types. I got a massive amount of carpaccio and a smaller plate of horse Carpaccio 🐎 as a starter. Awesome.
Cosmic D — Google review
We had the Lunch-Dinner cutting board (charcuterie) for lunch. It was the perfect size for 2, and came with what seemed like half a loaf of crusty bread. They have their own beers and I had the Belgian blonde, which was quite nice - not TOO fruity.
Bob Z — Google review
La Prosciutteria isn’t a restaurant but a modern revival of the old fiaschetteria osteria: pared-back menus, good wine, and vintage interiors. I ordered the taglieri board: a generous spread of charcuterie, cheeses, breads, spreads, salad, and fruit. Everything was fresh and substantial, though the bread held it back from being excellent (7/10). Siena’s own pasta, pici cacio e pepe, arrived creamy, cheesy, and properly timed; with sharper cheese and more pepper it could have been outstanding (6.5/10). The dark, intimate rooms evoke a bygone atmosphere, more suited to lingering Tuscan nights than the Tuscan light.
Loo Y — Google review
One of my pinned location! Happy we got to have lunch here! Location, make sure you find this place a it's at the back lanes. It's a good quiet location. Atmosphere, the place indoor is really nice, creative and lovely. Really like it. Food, really yummy! 😋 love the food and recommendation. If you are not into cold cuts, this would not be the place for you. Amazingly has horse meat, deer meat etc. The combination are arranged daily and no regrets with our order. Service, fast for serving. Took a little while for waiting for table but otherwise, it's all swift and lovely. The price is reasonable. Coperto was not high compared to others.
是无名 — Google review
We had a cold cuts which was 14 euros for two and 2 sprits it was very nice but I do think it was bit more than what we expected price wise cause the total was 29.50 we missed aperetivo just by 7 minutes and said we cannot have aperetivo. However overall it was nice quite enjoyed the passion sprits something quite new !
Damith C — Google review
Excellent platter of cold meats and cheeses, exactly what I wanted. The smoked deer caparcio was great, the beef tartar was a bit lacking in seasoning (I had the "traditional ") and was only okay. House wine is very good and very cheap. Would definitely go back and just order a different main.
Steve D — Google review
Looked for a place that is not in the center of the tourist area, and this place had good reviews so we went in. One thing that is not relevant to my review or rating: Stop using online menus!! It's not comfortable, and it makes it harder to decide what you want. The staff was friendly and helpful and the place was clean and had a nice vibe. The restaurant uses disposable cutlery, made of wood, which is ok for the mix platter, but not so much for the pasta. If you do get the pasta, ask for real fork and knife. They have a few left, so if they can they will give it to you. We ordered a mix platter and two pasta dishes, with 2 glasses of wine. The wine was nice. Not bad. Not extremely good. Nice. Good for a quick lunch. The mix platter looked wow!! Colorful with different meats, cheeses, and some veggies. Really pretty. Too bad the taste doesn't match. It wasn't bad. Not at all. But I have made better tasting platters with ingredients I bought at the supermarket. The pasta dishes looked and smelled really good, and we were ready for a hearty dish. Again, the flavor didn't match the look. Again, it wasn't bad. It was just a little bland, or flat. The pasta ragu looked like it was cooked for many hours, like it should, but the flavor wasn't there. The ravioli had a nice filling, and the nuts on it added a nice crunch, but where is the flavor??? Where is the flavor of the butter, of the cheese, the cream, the salt?!? The total was €42 including a small bottle of water. Not very expensive as a price, buy not a good value for money, in my opinion.

The steak (tagliata) is exception, best steak I had so far in Tuscany. It is buttery and melts in the mouth. It’s also well seasoned with salt and capers, and has a rich beefy taste to it. The price is reasonable for its quality (€20). I will highly recommend it. The tagliata pecorino (steak with goat cheese sauce and caramelised onions) is even MORE delicious, highly recommend it as well. We’ve also ordered the beef stomach sandwich (lampredotto sandwich). The bun is crispy yet soft, and is filled with thinly sliced beef stomach. The sliced beef is soft, fresh, and has a deep beef flavour; the fresh chimichuri pairs perfectly with the beef. The portion is generous, and at good price (€10). Tuscany board and bread is alright, nothing surprising. All in all, the steak is a must order, and order it with the goat cheese and caramelised onions if you fancy.

We were sitting inside and it was really too hot then we switch ti outside. Wine is cheap but dishes is ok. Service is good

Fantastic place, if you like very good local food, wine, and people enjoying themselves. It can be a very lively, so not a quiet place. Fantastic boards with freshly cut local hams and cheese and very good red house wine by the glass for €3.

Busy Monday in Siena so we were happy to take a table inside. It was a little hot and sweaty (no air con) but air conditioning is no expectation. Cramped as well but if it wasn't we wouldn't get a table... So no complaints. Food was quick and delicious, service was perfectly fine, menu was only in Italian but it just felt all the more genuine. Would eat again/recommend to others. Grazie mille!

Excellent lunch. Lovely and cozy-looking place with nice staff, great and authentic food, local flavors, honest prices. Try their specialties, like "tonno del Chianti", lampredotto, and the amazing tartare. We also had coffee and we tried the ricciarelli from a local bakery, really delicious. They also have a solid wine list and they offer sandwiches for take out. Absolutely recommended.
Camilla Z — Google review
Definitely recommend ordering from the Piatti del Giorno - we had 5 different plates which together made for a great dinner. Nice ambiance where you can hear your conversation. Friendly service.
Rico B — Google review
I had the tartare with pecorino, artichokes antipasti and a glass of the house chianti. Service was also very friendly and warm. The place provides a great overall atmosphere that invites you to return several times.

Gastronomia Morbidi Cocktail Bar, located at Via Banchi di Sopra 75, is a local institution in Siena that has been serving the community since 1925. In the morning, visitors can enjoy a variety of coffee options along with pastries and cakes. The establishment also offers an excellent selection of cured meats, cheeses, and local wines.
After walking around Sienna, this was an awesome place to finish the afternoon with a Spritz and pickplate before we met our tour guide for our return trip to Florence. Great customer service, nice refreshing spritz and tasty antipasto style pickplate.

This was a very popular place recommended to us by our tour guides. We came in and it is quite busy with locals. They have quite the selection of food and it all looked very fresh. I got a crab salad, shrimp and avocado salad, pasta with tomatos and anchovies with onions. Everything is so fresh and packed with flavor I loved every bite I got and wish I could have tried more. It's one of the best meals I have had in Italy and the best thing is how affordable it is. My SO got a delicious glass of wine, various types of ravioli and pastas and cutes of meat for a great price and he is still also thinking about this place. Highly recommend and it is a must visit!
Kathleen W — Google review
Great little stop here to grab a drink. We didn’t have a lot of time as on a scheduled tour with strict timings. Told the host who first greeted us and he sat us promptly and took our orders quickly. Drinks came out in no time. Lots of people here and the food looked good as well. Wish we had been able to try it. Super service and very friendly compared to the overhyped Pasticceria Nannini Conca D'Oro a few doors down which is dirty, overcrowded and poor service. Go here instead, you won’t regret it!
Stacey B — Google review
A posh-looking grocery shop with a buffet lunch on offer. The food in display is spot on, but the service is brief and friendly like a German train station food stall. We went with a local craft beer (quite nice) and a (so so) Prosecco. Sadly, no bubbles aside from the Prosecco, our ask for an alternative spumante was blissfully or other options ignored. The restroom (just one unisex for 🚻) was a real appetite-killer, due to its grade of filthyness. Gastronomia Morbid would be worth another visit if the service decides to treat customers with a main level of friendliness and they hire a cleaning service for the loo. Otherwise, it’s overpriced spot for service masochists. About their response: Saying to that they don't only have prosecco by the glass is not honest. We asked for alternatives by the glass, but they rudely told us they only have that. Of course they have other bubbles bottles, but a bottle of Franciacorta before lunch seems a bit adventurous. As for the toilets: They have one (1) toilet for men/women. This was already brutally dirty in the preseason (June). In August, you'll probably need a bio-hazard suit to enter.

Not very tourist friendly if you come here without a guide. I asked for a lasagne but was unaware I have to first get a ticket, then walk slightly further down (not allowed to go anywhere near the main cashier) then order my food, but can’t order a drink at the same area (must now go to the main cashier), then once you’ve finally got your food and drink you I’ll have no cutlery so you grab some but then met with outcries as someone must personally give you your cutlery. Love the hospitality. Really very welcoming.

Check out the Coppa, I never had a better one. I bought 2 vacumised coppa for my friend, they love it…

Great food. There is a lot of food options from appetizers to actually plates. The staff was so friendly. The server helped us combine tables for our 5 guest.

Amazing! One of the best place2b in Siena. Everything taste very very good. Ok for take away and if you want you Can have a sit inside. Molto consigliato a Siena, una delle gastronomie più antiche e rinomate.

Numero Unico is a stylish restaurant located at Via di Citta 125, offering a modern dining experience with both indoor and outdoor seating. The presentation of the dishes is carefully crafted, ensuring that they are not only delicious but also visually appealing. The menu features creative regional dishes made from local ingredients, presented with precision and care.
We were looking for a place where you don't need to reserve a table, and we bumped into ristorante numero unico. Was not busy and we decided to take a sit. Very friendly atmosphere, the waiter was very nice and helpful. Amazing food! Definitely recommend the beef cheeks, so so tender! My friend had rabbit and tagliatelle with wild boar. We were more than happy with our choice.

We loved it here! Thank you so much to the lovely server. We got the set tasting menu at 40 euro per person- Prosciutto board, bread, wine, water and steak with potatoes. It was REALLY good. My friend is gluten free and they ran to the shops to buy her bread, they went above and beyond. We sat outside and people watched! Perfecto

We had a very good meal here with a fantastic server ! The pasta di pepe (bucatini pasta with cheese and pepper) was delicious, as was the Caprese salad. Wine was very good. We sat upstairs which was not an exciting ambience (quite boring). Downstairs would have been more fun/lively, but it’s small. Not really very much of a historical vibe as it’s seems too modern for Siena. VictorB

Just what is needed when you want a quiet dinner away from the crowds of Siena. Located above the Battistero steps, this authentic Siena restaurant is a gem. Good food, good selection of dishes, including rabbit, and great wines at reasonable prices makes it special. Variety of deserts and coffees plus desert wines 🍷 Colino1861 highly recommended ✅️ 💯

Lovely restaurant with covered outdoor seating on a tiered deck, on a quite side road. Food was delicious and staff were very helpful. A small oasis of calm in an otherwise busy touristy area. Artisanal gluten-free pasta available.

Located near Piazza del Campo in Siena, Tuscany, Osteria Da Trombicche is gaining a reputation as one of the city's top dining spots. Despite its growing popularity, it remains a hidden gem cherished by locals for its tranquil ambiance and innovative approach to Tuscan cuisine.
Excellent Tuscan restaurant in the heart of old town Siena. It offers a varied menu at a good price quality. Open kitchen concept/ Good service. Recommended.

amazing food. you need to get the coffee cake mousse!! the steak & potatoes are to die for. The pasta we got was so fresh and amazing quality. Highly recommend this place, it has that homey/local feel to it for sure!

I really liked this place. A small restaurant with great food. We both really enjoyed the food and the house wine. I read some of the comments and came here because I liked the responses so much. Come here to eat and eat great food in manageable portions. FYI - this is not a take a box of foodhome place but a place to talk and enjoy the company of those you are with

Wow! What a great evening. A recommendation from our lovely host and we weren’t disappointed. This is a locals spot. We really enjoyed the open kitchen and watching the the dishes get plated.

Fantastic restaurant with delicious traditional dishes but also some plates with some really innovative twist. We had an excellent lunch and the staff were really friendly and welcoming to us, and all spoke good English.
David J — Google review
Maybe I selected a wrong plate but some of the fusillioni were a bit too al dente. The taste was good but not exceptional. I am surprised how people rated this restaurant, the others I tried were better.
Laurent L — Google review
This is the farthest you can get from a tourist trap in Italy. Eight indoor tables and a staff of three with a tiny open kitchen. Bread arrives at the table in a brown paper sack. The wine list is long but we did very well with glasses of house red. We were the only English speaking customers on a Saturday afternoon. My wife had the tagliatelle with goat ragu and I had the beef tongue--both delicious and the perfect portion size. Prices are very reasonable. If we lived here we'd probably eat there every week.

Italian grocery store
Antica Drogheria Manganelli 1879 is a historic and elegant establishment located in the heart of Siena. Since its founding in 1879, it has maintained high standards and offers a wide selection of local delicacies. Visitors can find artisan-made pasta, jams, Tuscan wine, panforte, ricciarelli almond cookies, extra virgin olive oil, cold cuts, local cheeses, and more.
Antica Drogheria Manganelli is a compact, gourmet Italian products store with oils, pasta, sauces, spices, etc. They also have the Siennese confectionary specialties such as pan forte and ricciarelli. If I lived in Siena, I would love shopping here. Deserves a visit even if it's just for a look.

Very authentic place with Italian goods that you won’t find in a regular supermarket. This is the place where you can come across many cool gift ideas to bring home with you, such as hand-crafted hazelnut paste, beautifully wrapped chocolate, Lavazza coffee candies, marmalades in amazing jars and of course wine. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great service!
Diana A — Google review
We have been delighted to enter this fine grocery with plenty of high quality products among which a significant part is local from Sienna or Tuscany. We purchased panforte of different kind and also almond biscuits which are fresh and delicious. The setup of the shop is amazing back to a century ago (or two!). We have been warmly received and a good valuable information was provided to us. I strongly recommend. Prices, linked to high quality, are not too high. It worth the value!

A nice selection of high quality wines, olive oils, canned and dry goods. Very friendly and helpful staff. We will be back, and highly recommend to others!

An excellent shop to buy local specialities and particularly wine. There are probably thousands of Chiantis in Tuscany and choosing the best, if there is a best, is like finding a needle in a haystack. Their selection is not enormous but very well selected and we were given invaluable help in discovering some extraordinary well priced wines. It is now my first stop in Siena after taking an espresso in the Campo!
