Antica Osteria l'Agania is a long-standing, open-fronted eatery with a rustic charm that has been delighting diners for over four generations. The restaurant offers traditional Tuscan home cooking, serving antipasto like bruschetta and seasoned sausage, along with pasta dishes such as pappardelle with mushrooms and gnocchi with duck ragu.
They were very welcoming. Even though I went alone, they treated me very kindly without any prejudice. I could choose any table I comfortable. The restaurant was quite busy, with people waiting in line constantly, probably because it had received a Michelin star. I waited for about 20-30 minutes. The food was delicious with a local touch and reasonably priced. Overall, it was very good there.

I really loved this place. Had three meals there over the week. They don’t take reservations so I recommend getting there early, especially on a Friday. The pasta, veg, and meat were all great. I enjoyed sitting out on the street for each meal but beware the slope of the street can be tricky. Their internal dining is nice too.
David V — Google review
Fantastic food and service - this is typical Tuscan cuisine. The porcini mushroom tagliata was a stand out for me as was the truffle tagliata. Also recommend the house red wine, it’s delicious.
El — Google review
The great tasty restaurant. Casual style, and kindly staffs has served the order promptly. I am pleased
S M — Google review
Get there early, just after opening, or after 21:30, to avoid queues. I’m not sure if you can book ahead … some large groups of men came in later (after 21:00). We were there by 19:30 and had to wait 10-15 minutes As there were 4 “tables” /groups in front of us in the queue. It was pleasant weather and good people watching ad we stood in the narrow street. Staff were pleasant and patient when taking our order (for four people), brisk in delivery, and attentive when we flagged them down as they whisked between tables. Interesting pictures, posters, press clippings on the wall. Seemed to be trattoria in style … I had the homemade spaghetti with a wild boar sauce … very tasty. The 250 ml carafe of Chianti was good value for money. I wasn’t sure if the Traditional Cream Dessert I ordered was the lemon custard pie slice I received, but it was nice.

Super fast service and delicious food! We came during peak hours and waited around 10 minutes to be seated on a Saturday. Amazing dinner well worth the price

Il Saraceno is a very popular Italian restaurant in the town of Tuscany. The food is classic Tuscan fare, with dishes such as pasta and pizza. The wine list features some of the best local wines from around Tuscany. The service is friendly and attentive, and reservations are recommended.
Amazing food all around and inexpensive for the quality and portions. We ordered two appetizers, a bottle of wine, three main dishes and a side as well as dessert and coffee and all came out to less than €100! Every plate was good but our favorites were the cheese plate, the pork chop and the spinach and ricotta ravioli. Would definitely visit again next time we’re in Arezzo
Brooke K — Google review
This is a very nice restaurant. There were 3 of us and we ordered a pizza, 2 pork chops, potatoes, 2 appetizers, a small bottle of wine and water. The total cost was 70 euros. The pizza was delicious, the roast pork was juicy. Every dish we ordered that day was very good. The waitress was very kind and helpful. After the bill, they waved goodbye, so we left feeling both full and happy.
อติกานต์ เ — Google review
We ended up at this restaurant because we visited Arezzo during the medieval festival (Giostra del Saracino, on September 7th) and the town was completely packed — this was the only place that could take us. We ordered seasonal roasted vegetables and were served spinach, which wasn’t bad. The prosciutto e melone was good, and the tuna salad (with canned tuna) was fine. For mains, we tried the ricotta ravioli with truffle sauce (not bad), the osso buco (just average), and gnocchi with pomodoro sauce. Overall, the food was very plain and nothing really stood out. The only dish truly worth it was the tiramisu, which was delicious.
Amaia — Google review
Absolutely delightful! Great atmosphere. Affordable prices. Electronic menu in several languages (the menu also lists allergens). Fantastic local wine selection. The pizza was the best I had in Arezzo…thin but soft crust, ample cheese, strong flavor. The tiramisu was also the best I’ve had. Coffee grounds with chocolate powder on top was a nice touch and not overpowering. The custard was thick but not a mousse and had great flavor. The lady fingers were not too much and had a strong coffee flavor. So many great flavors coming out of the kitchen too.
Emily K — Google review
A restaurant located in the very center of Arezzo, decorated in a very elegant, rustic way. The seats by the windows look out directly onto one of the medieval streets climbing up the city. The dishes on the menu are traditional for the region, although as an appetizer I managed to order my beloved friarelli, which is associated primarily with Naples. I can't say a bad word about the pasta with rabbit meat or the sausages ordered for the second course. Nevertheless, the said salsiccia, although very tasty, was more like Polish white sausage than my beloved specialty. It wasn't exactly what I expected. Overall, the dishes are very good, prices reasonable and the decor evokes a sentimental journey through time. I can reccomend Trattoria Il Saraceno.
Pablito — Google review
This is a must go place while in the area. The place is a typical Italian restaurant. Authenticity and good taste, large food offer. Service was great, prices are the real Italian ones ! (No touristic!) I highly recommend
Mathilde C — Google review
We were recommended this restaurants by family. Who always come here when they are in Arezzo. And although the Pici with Ragú of Chingiale were delicious. It was unacceptable to be served pizzas that terrible. The mushrooms were canned and the the other pizza only had sauce and cheese on half. So disappointing. Why ruin a pizza in such an easily fixable way.
Nicola — Google review
Great restaurant! Delicious! Acceptable prices! Clean, comfortable. I recommend everyone to visit. I really liked the rabbit dish.

Antica Fonte is a relaxed dining spot with outdoor seating, serving up traditional Tuscan cuisine. Founded by Luca and Donatella, the restaurant has been dishing out classic dishes like chicken liver crostini and lampredotto in salsa verde for over a decade. The menu features homemade pasta dishes, salt cod with onions, guinea fowl with truffles, and an extensive wine list curated by resident sommelier Luigi.
A restaurant with excellent local food. Every dish we had was excellent. The service is very kind. Highly recommend the restaurant.

Came here upon recommendations from our Agriturismo friend from Il Palazzo. We speak English and the staff were very accommodating. Menu suggestions and wine pairing were spot on. My wife and I absolutely loved the Foccacia bread and the Picci pasta w shrimp was superb. We enjoyed our main courses as well as suggested by the caring staff.

best restaurant in arezzo! the entire experience was exceptional and the food, i would rate it a 100/10. i ordered from the menu of the day and it was the best food i have had in italy. the pistachio pasta and tuna entree were absolutely divine. staff were so nice and friendly. the garden area is so lovely. i can’t wait to return

Amazing! This has been the best meal we have had in Italy yet! Service was great, but the meals were superb! The appetizer, first course, second course, dessert and wine, all amazing. 5 stars. You must come here when in Arezzo, authentic Tuscan food.
Douglas S — Google review
We had one of our favorite meals here while in Arezzo. The Golden chicken and Pan fried cockerel are must haves. Every bite was a pleasure and the family operation provides amazing service.
Robert — Google review
Absolutely loved this restaurant. Greeted warmly and seated at a lovely indoor table. Waitresses were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Excellent service. The food was the best food we have had in Italy so far. My husband had the Aubergine Flan to start and the Duck ragu pasta dish. They were both sublime. I had stuffed Guinea fowl and relished every mouthful. The side dish of mixed vegetables was beautifully cooked. Wish we could have stayed longer, so we could eat here again. Thoroughly recommend.
Christienne F — Google review
Indifferent food, diffident service ( one waiter was both ignorant and offhand). Overrated elsewhere. We have eaten much better at half the price elsewhere in Arezzo.
Philip K — Google review
What a cozy restaurant! Excellent service and great teamwork. Suggest to make a reservation to avoid disappointment! We had a tripe in green sauce as starter- what a unique taste. The pici with shrimp that followed took it to the next level - great flavors and perfect texture of the pici. We had a tagliatelle with truffle as well which was great. The pork chop main dish was very generous. We had no more room for dessert. Hope to come back again next time.

La Lancia d'Oro is a centuries-old restaurant in the heart of Arezzo, serving up Tuscan cuisine with a decidedly rustic flair. The interior is homely and inviting, perfect for a light lunch or dinner in the company of friends.
A person said hello to us… As we strolled the square looking for our dinner plans later in the day. We were invited back by a very friendly wait staff lady. The other places in the plaza ignored us or made minimal effort to engage. Promptly at opening we were seated Service was American style ( sorry ) It was frequent, communicative, timely, and on cue. Our server had several good suggestions. We took. Our anti pasta , firsts, and deserts were the best we’ve experienced in Italy. The wine too. Bonus. The warm bread basket had multiple bread types and flavors to complement your wine sipping or heaven forbid sopping up our succulent sauces. I could attempt to write flowery descriptors of our meal….it would be Inadequate. Absolutely first class service. And the best meal in Italy.
Loren R — Google review
The food was phenomenal, we had the truffle tagliolini which was filled with so much flavor! After this, we then had incredible desert, also with so much variety and incredible flavor. This is right next to the piazza which is absolutely perfect after a walk around the city. We were also warmly welcomed by the staff where they gave us small tasters before our meals. We definitely recommend if you want an ambient, cozy and comfortable atmosphere with authentic Tuscan cuisine!
Ella P — Google review
One of the most amazing taste experiences that impressed both us and our children (although this doesn't happen often :) ). 10/10! Thanks again Marzia.
Saulius M — Google review
Incredible meal in Arezzo 10/10! We went without any expectations and it truly was one of the best elaborated meals in the tuscany. You can’t miss the soufflé (delicious texture and flavor), risotto (the yogurt and crunch made it really different but interesting) and duck (tender and tasty). All the dishes had a nice presentation and combination of flavors and textures, which clearly shows the thought and work behind it. A must go for sure!!
Lucía S — Google review
Delicious food in elegant atmosphere on the main piazza. Taglialini with tartufo was incredible. The white chocolate sphere for dessert was really a small village of buildings constructed on my plate, each with a different taste theme. A couple — no actually three — extras courses slipped in gratuitously by the hosts. A bit on the pricey side for my typical budget, but worth it, I felt.
James L — Google review
Stopped by for lunch and had a full dining experience! Everything we had was delicious and balanced - start to finish.
Anna — Google review
Me and my partner had the best truffle pasta we have ever had here, exceptional, service wss also perfect
Alex D — Google review
Wonderful view on the piazza from the terrace, comfortable seats made for a wonderful sitting experience. The food was fantastic with a wide variety of bites for the antipasti’s that everyone quite enjoyed. The free amuse’s were delicious and they were very generous, giving one for each dish (even the desert, which was also fantastic!). The staff was nice enough (albeit a tad quiet) and the wine (we had an amarone) was wonderful. All in all a strong recommendation.

Located in the heart of the city, Le Chiavi D'Oro ristorante offers a blend of tradition and modernity in its cuisine, influenced by the family's trattoria roots. The menu showcases a well-balanced Easter menu with dishes that highlight seasonal ingredients from both land and sea.
We had incredible time at this amazing restaurant! Service was excellent and food was magnificent! I had the best lobster pasta. Highly recommend to visit and experience this amazing food. We will definitely come back there. For me this restaurant is incredible discovery ☺️

Visiting Arezzo, we had dinner at Le Chiavi d’Oro and its been an extremely pleasant experience. The decor is modern but - somehow - integrates well in a Medieval town. Food is traditional with some twists that add a pleasant surprise to taste without exceeding the borders of experimentation. Three courses dinner for 2 people (one glass on fine red wine) 100€ which is absolutely in line with the quality. Definitely a place where to stop by. We'll be back once in Arezzo again
Francesco B — Google review
We had a truly wonderful meal here, the food was sublime, high end cooking, packed full of flavour and innovative in its combinations, I had the tongue starter and guinea fowl Secondi and would highly recommend both. Service was impeccable on what was a busy weekend evening, charming, helpful and knowledgeable when answering our various questions, especially as to wine choices. A not so hidden gem which I shall be recommending to anyone that will listen. A great night out.
Louise J — Google review
We keep comparing other restaurants in Italy to our lunch here and Le Chiavi D’Oro consistently wins. Flavorful, inventive dishes, great wine cellar, elegant space, and friendly service, all without Michelin-style pretentiousness. Recommend to anyone looking for a special meal in Arezzo.

High quality food, the duck was excellent (dish of the day) and the duck ragu was spectacular. We came with a stroller and they accommodated us without a problem. Staff well trained and very attentive.

One of the best restaurants in Arezzo, by far! In a historical and central location (Piazza San Francesco), I found the restaurant cozy and elegant. Waiters were welcoming and took care of choosing our aperitifs. They also suggested few off-menu dishes that were, indeed, absolutely worth it. The food was delicious and elegantly presented. In general a really pleasant experience!

*A Culinary Masterpiece in the Heart of Arezzo* We had the absolute pleasure of dining at Le Chiavi D'Oro in Arezzo, Italy. Recommended by our rental host Roberta. For my special Birthday. I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. The moment we stepped into this elegant restaurant, we were enveloped in a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the tone for a truly exceptional meal. Greeted by one of the owners and two staff members. Family owned and operated. So special. *A Symphony of Flavors* The service was impeccable, with our server attentive, knowledgeable, and happy to guide us through the menu. The dishes we ordered were nothing short of culinary masterpieces. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, textures, and presentation that left us in awe. *Standout Dishes* Each of the dishes were cooked to perfection, with the pasta being a particular highlight. The flavors were rich and well-balanced, and the portion sizes were generous. Which continued throughout our selections. To include their recommendations of wine and desert. *Ambiance and Service* The ambiance was elegant and refined, with a warm and inviting decor that made us feel like we were dining in a luxurious setting. The service was top-notch, with our server and owner providing attentive and knowledgeable service throughout the meal. *A Truly Exceptional Experience* In short, Le Chiavi D'Oro is a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Arezzo. The combination of exceptional service, stunning ambiance, and truly outstanding cuisine makes for a dining experience that will leave you with lifelong memories. We can't wait to return and indulge in another culinary masterpiece. *Rating: 5/5 stars* *Recommendation:* Don't miss the opportunity to dine at Le Chiavi D'Oro. Book your table well in advance and be prepared for an unforgettable culinary experience.

A Memorable Dinner in Piazza San Francesco We had dinner here while staying in Arezzo, following a recommendation from our Airbnb host. Outdoor seating wasn’t available, but we were seated inside right away. The space was elegant—warm lighting, beautiful details, and a calm, refined atmosphere. At first, we weren’t sure if it would be the right fit since we were with our young son and teenagers, and the restaurant is Michelin-rated. But we stayed, and we’re so glad we did. The service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and helpful in walking us through the menu. It’s divided into three sections, and they suggest two dishes per person. Only my husband followed that, starting with the steak tartare, which was excellent. We all had pasta dishes, and every one was incredible. I had the duck tagliatelle with ragù—delectable and made with rich precision. The flavors were deep and comforting. Our vegetarian guest had the ravioli and savored every bite. Each dish felt intentional and beautifully prepared, without being overdone. It was a quiet, elegant dinner. If you’re looking for more of a lively scene, the patio might be better. But if you want a relaxed, elevated evening with thoughtful food and a great bottle of wine, dining inside is a perfect choice. Highly recommend.

One of the best restaurants I’ve been to. The food was amazing and the wine was perfect. The staff were so lovely and provided excellent service. I have to say, the cheesecake was incredible absolutely loved it! Highly recommend 😋😋
Ami L — Google review
I was encouraged to visit this restaurant by its high rating as well as short menu which suggested specialization in specific dishes. I wad welcomed by kind staff which took care of the right atmosphere from the beginning. The positive picture was completed by the nice seat in a quieter part of Via Corsa. The ordered dishes were delicious. The tartare served in three versions, with dips emphasizing its character, deserved to be called a main course in itself. The pici pasta, on the other hand, was not prepared with a heavy meat sauce (which is common), but was bathed in a fresh sauce of yellow tomatoes and garlic from the Valdarno valley. I must honestly admit that the restaurant quality of the dishes enchanted me and my companion, while the prices did not particularly stand out against the average for Arezzo.
Pablito — Google review
A lovely, cozy restaurant. Small kitchen but the chef makes amazing food like his fresh gnocchi with truffles. Good wine selection from this area as well. All the staff were friendly and all pitched in to work together (not something you see often!) Overall, an enjoyable dining experience

Very special restaurant, located next to the church where it borrows the name from. The interior is unique, with high ceiling and fresco's on the walls. The atmosphere is therefore unique, quite and cosy, perfect for a romantic or family dinner. The dishes are really well presented, but must be honest, some of them push the traditional recipes too much and the taste is not what you would expect. That said, the quality is really high, and therefore the price is also adjusted accordingly. Anyway not crazy expensive and definitely worth! Oh, great selection of wines

We had a wonderful lunch at this great restaurant just off the main Piazza. Wonderful service, a small but carefully thought out wine list and some really good and innovative cooking. Chicken liver crostini and rabbit in tomato and olive sauce were particular stand outs. Worth every Euro.

The Italian restaurant Teorema del Gusto offers delicious handmade pasta dishes, meat and cheese plates, and desserts. The food has a great Tuscan flavour and is extremely tasty. The prices are very affordable, making it a great choice for those looking for a good meal in central Arezzo. The restaurant is also comfortable to eat at both inside and outside, making it perfect for those warm summer days.
Last Sunday I decided to go for lunch at this great place on my day trip to Arezzo. I had read the reviews and also checked on TripAdvisor and it was highly recommended, so I thought I'd give it a try. I was alone and they were very friendly giving me a table for one. I had the pici al ragù bianco and it was perfect. I really enjoyed it. For dessert, I had the panna cotta al cioccolato, which was also very good. Both the main dish and dessert are very well served. I spent € 19.50 for a big bottle of water, pici, and panna cotta. (1.50 water, 14 pici, 4 panna cotta). I definitely recommend this restaurant if you're looking for somewhere to eat in Arezzo, and I'll surely come back the next time I'm in town.

Dinners with family and friends, moments of joy filled with laughs and the best genuine Tuscan food. As a family run business the owners have always been the same in about, I believe, 40 years. The best produce and ingredients selection, finely shaped in true delicacies for your palate. If you are after a true Tuscan food experience and are in the area, well, do not hesitate. Gabriella and her sons will look after you. Today, we celebrate here my husband’s birthday, coming back to town after some years and looking forward to those flavours of your life. Thank you 🙏🏻

typical tuscan lunch/dinner. i did none of the talking and most of the eating. the place is a bit tiny and the service very colorful, it's def a typical italian family style spot. everything was on point. the potatoes stole the show tho, apparently they were the last two so we scooped them up.

Food, mainly meat is not in big portions, so for 2 people, we ate 3 meals but they were all delicious. Service was very fast and accurate with the orders, the lady serving was very kind and happy it see us enjoy our meals. Very nice experience.

Marvellous authentic Italian cuisine. Most people inside were Italians visiting Arezzo. The restaurant was completely full, but the staff was very efficient and we were served in no time. Everything was delicious.

A small non-descript restaurant from outside. Step down through the door and surprisingly good food awaits. Have been privileged to visit a few times over the last few years. Food quality remains consistently good. A MUST VISIT!

Essenza Dario e Anna - dal 1964 is a renowned restaurant in Arezzo, continuing a family tradition that began as a rotisserie and evolved into a restaurant under the guidance of chef Luca Scoscini. The menu features classic Tuscan cuisine with an innovative twist, using locally sourced organic ingredients and emphasizing raw food. Guests can expect an ever-changing selection of dishes, including tagliolini pasta with white truffles and the famous bistecca alla Fiorentina.
We wanted to stop to have a quick bite, and we chose this restaurant in the Piazza Grande. Everything was excellent. The food was magnificent. We had Ravioli with Porcini and Ossobuco. Extraordinary! It's such an amazing restaurant! The staff was so friendly and fun. Definitely a must!

Went for a Bistecca alla Fiorentina and it was an amazing experience! From order to finish I felt like in a very luxurious place! Stuff was very professional, explained everything well. The food was amazing! I heard that they have the best steaks in Arezzo and I think that it is true!

Superb lunch experience. Pappardelle ragu with boar was presented very well and tasted great. Wine suggestions were perfect. Sitting outside with a view of the square makes the entire experience very "Italian". The staff was great and the older waiter was hilarious (and truly professional). Might be back for dinner here since the meals I saw all looked great.

We travel to Europe every year. The food in this restaurant is one of best we ever had. I had the five course meat menu, the meat was cooked perfectly. I love porcini mushrooms, pasta cooked just right. It was comparable with the best restaurant in Paris😊
Jim J — Google review
“Welcome to Essenza, enjoy the experience.” And we did. We took the meats tasting 5 course menu, with foie gras, duck, dried ham, Pigeon and many other surprises. Granted this is not a cheap thrill but Chef/Owner Luca and his staff went well out of their way to make this an experience alright. Expect various takes on the same ingredient on your plate, the pigeonbreast prepared with ultrasonic looked red yet was superbly cooked, it’s tiny leg increasingly tasty, and it’s wing topping the dish. The waiters are friendly and not too present, advising you in what order to go through each course to best enjoy. Yes there is some molecular cooking going on, yet -as we love it- one can still see what has been cooked. Still, very interesting takes on dishes you’ve seen elsewhere but not tasted similarly elsewhere. Very surprising. We took some glasses of Champagne which was a wonderful companion. From the terrace we could see the waiters giving guests three wine options to taste, pouring the glass only when ok’d, and not trying to upsell as the price for the glasses was the same. Very clever. Very well executed. With this venue Luca could have gone just for overpriced, as endless tourists would present themselves. Instead he chose the hard way in preparing honest meats into creations that blew our minds in presentation. Some will not like the price this comes with. We’ve had dinners at similar price points and then some, but rarely did they taste so well. Surprising takes in there with courageous approaches, will not reveal it all. Good to see also that the staff was a mix of very experienced elder waiters, flawlessly removing the cap from the wine without turning the label away from the guests, to young and equally proud lads, as well as a very well groomed lady with simple and modest headscarf. Love the inclusion happening there. Just when you think it’s all over, the waiter reminds you not to run away as a surprise is coming still. And wow, again impressed by the take on a dish we thought we knew. Compliments to the staff and to Luca for a wonderful Essenza experience.

It was one of the best experience to taste local flavor in Italy. We tried tasting menu and it was completely worthy. Every dish is delicate and the waiter service is super awesome! The trattoria takes pride in serving traditional Tuscan cuisine, featuring dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. Guests can indulge in an array of delectable options, including pasta with porcini mushrooms and Angus carpaccio with rocket and tomato.
Loved our dinner here! They accommodated our large family + two babies under the big arch outside with a reservation. Beautiful atmosphere and the staff was so welcoming and kind to us. The food was all delicious and fairly priced. I should’ve taken more photos of the food but it was all delicious and we ordered a wide variety of appetizers, pastas, meats, salads, etc. Some particular favorites were the roast beef with truffle, truffle beef tartare, bresaola, and the pici pastas.

True Italian cuisine, Francesca is an amazing chef and we ate here twice because the first time was so good the second even better. They get packed quickly so walk in and make a reservation and be sure you don’t miss out and their incredible cuisine.

Just when I was thinking that pasta could not get anymore amazing, I visited Trattoria Cavour 42 and ordered their truffle pasta. It was the best pasta my partner and I have had so far in Italy! The fragrance of truffles coupled with the depth of flavour beckoned bite after bite. The risotto also provided a warmth and flavour profile like it was made by a nonna. We also ordered their beef carpaccio with truffle which was an alluring bright pink and tasted fresh and tender. We would definitely return to Arezzo just for this restaurant.

Had a great time here! Tried aperitivo Toscano, pasta with truffles, steak with peppers and rosemary and tiramisu - everything from the start til the end was more than great. Osteria Il Grottino is a charming restaurant owned by Elisabetta, a passionate cook with a love for the Middle Ages. She welcomes guests in period attire and then heads to the kitchen for inspection by Alessandro Borghese. The cuisine is based on strong contrasts and bold, spicy flavors typical of medieval cooking. Visitors have praised the delicious burrata with truffle, steak with truffle, and carbonara with truffle.
Last night we had dinner at Osteria II Grottino. It was a lovely experience to sit outside in the laneway. The meal was delicious. We particularly enjoyed the burrata with truffle!

Visited this osteria in Arezzo on a Monday, when many other restaurants were closed. The tagliata, a typical dish from Tuscany, was generous but average, with a lot of sinew. The waiter insisted on a huge bowl of pappa al pomodoro for antipasto despite my already large order. White beans were fine, though I expected green beans as contorno. Service was extremely poor, from a bearded male waiter wearing glasses of petite build who was so unfriendly for unknown reasons. Average food, unforgettably bad service.

I believe I have died and gone to heaven. An amazing shop with unbelievable food. The service was fabulous, they are happy and enjoying what they do. The meats, cheeses (dessert cheese with chocolate, cherries over a blue cheese) and wine is outstanding.

We had such a memorable meal here. The Tuscan crostini with liver pâté were rich and perfectly balanced, and the prosciutto e melone was simple but so fresh—exactly how it’s meant to be. The handmade pasta in red sauce was comforting and full of flavor. The staff were incredibly kind and patient, even letting us practice our Italian, which made the experience feel even more personal. The meal ended with a beautifully presented espresso, complete with a tiny meringue and sugar served in a moka pot—such a sweet touch. Places like this are what make Italy feel truly magical.

Everything about this store is wonderful, from the incredibly sweet staff to the decor, to the unique artisinal products and fantastic meat and cheese. The variety of sauces, sausages and pastas is superb. I literally wanted to buy up the entire store and the staff were so nice to hold everything for me while we went around to sight see, truly above and beyond! After returning to pick up our things, we added to our order and decided on an impromptu cheese board... the best I've had thus far in Italy, melt in your mouth salami, plentiful and fairly priced. I cannot say enough good things about this place! The products here are truly quality; the store's in-house brand does not use sunflower seed oil, which is surprisingly in so much of the products in this country; I regret not buying even more pesto and sauce!

It was just great: the atmosphere, table service and, od course, food. We had a variety of dishes, including beef slices with olive oil and rosemary, ravioli, ribs, and wild boar. We could not decide which one was the best. The desserts were amazing too. Our included panna cotta with caramel and forest fruit. The prices were high but for such an experience it was totally worth it.

After reading a review this restaurant came highly recommended for a traditional Tuscan meat restaurant. It was a few minutes from Arezzo but you need a car to get there. We were lucky that we came a few minutes after last order, but they agree to serve us. Place was quite full. We chose the Pici Duck Ragout which was so tasty. Probably best pasta of our trip. We also ordered pork Liver encased in Bacon in fat with pieces of Lard. It looked so good. A true local speciality. But the liver was hard and a bit dry, not as good as the one in Osteria L’agania in Arezzo. Their claim to fame was the Bistecca Fiorentina. They cut and show you the meat before cooking it. It’s not a porterhouse but a bone in Steak. The meat is not as great of quality as the best that Florence can offer. It was cooked really well. BUT it was not to my liking because they didn’t flavor the steak in anyway. They expect you to do it yourself. They give you olive oil and salt and pepper. Problem is …. That’s not how I prepare my steaks. Without any experience I just couldn’t get the steak to taste right. And I just didn’t have the confident to salt the steak enough. Still the taste of the meat was good and came really well prepared. There was 1 girl who spoke really good English and she helped us a lot with ordering. Service with everyone involved was excellent, a true family trattoria.

This restaurant is the epitome of a real, family-run restaurant that loves what they do. A quaint, pet-friendly restaurant on the outskirts of Arezzo with homemade pasta, daily specials (like our duck bolognese pasta and torta di riso), an absolutely incredible wine list (one of the sons is a sommelier and the daughter should be one), and simple ambiance where people can meet and share their experiences with the amazing food and service. Ah, and the service... incredible. Easily the best service experience I have had in over 9 months of living in Italy--smiles, kindness, helpful recommendations, not overbearing, and always attentive. Absolutely perfect. I will not eat anywhere else when I come to Arezzo, and I may even just drive from Florence to eat here again.

Lovely little restaurant with real Tuscan food. All the food is locally sourced and often organic. They have an amazing selection of local extra vergine olive oils you can try! The restaurant itself is a beautifully renovated building, and the atmosphere is great. Super tasty piadina at reasonable prices. I had the melanzana (also known as aubergine and eggplant) which was amazing. The bread was so delicate and the aubergine, radicchio, and cheese were amazing. 2 sandwiches and 2 beers were €16. I didn't see any other tourists at this cafe (besides me and my wife) while I was there. It was filled with locals who kept ordering a quick, delicious meal. Order at the counter and they give you a ticket with a number. When your order is ready they call out your number (if you don't know the Italian words for your number, please check while you wait!).

The perfect place for your quick and easy lunch. The staff was very friendly and spoke great English. The sandwiches were tasty but could do with some sauce or mozzarella for them to not be a bit on the dry side. However this was possible to order as extra topping, which I would recommend.

We had a drink (bottle of Prosecco) and some tapas outside on the terrace of this bar, during our visit to Arezzo in September 2021. The service was good and smooth. The prosecco and tapas were price quality wise ok, when you take the location in consideration… nice and historical view. The terrace is a little narrow, but that’s not their fault… . The bar inside is cozy, the toilet was clean.

This could be a fantastic little place like so many others we enjoyed on our trip but - I think we may have witnessed a complete meltdown. The owner was the only one serving and he was completely oblivious and seemed not to care about all his frustrated customers who waited literally hours with no, or little service. We showed up at 7:30pm and selected a nice bottle of wine from the wall. At that time we were one of two tables. We asked several times for menus and actually considered leaving but already had wine open. We got menus around 8pm, ordered two meals and a salad to start. We ate the salad and the bread, finished the wine and the water and by then it was 9:00pm and the place filled up. At no time did anyone ask us if we wanted anything or tell us food was on the way. Then other folks started receiving food and at 10pm we left 40 euros on the table and departed a restaurant full of normally very patient italians who had mostly lost their patience. It is the only restaurant I have walked out of in 20 or more years. This was mostly a poor experience because the owner showed no interest or empathy for his hungry customers and despite being overwhelmed and understaffed, he kept seating more tables, making it impossible to serve any but a couple of people dinner who appeared to be friends or regulars I would guess. Steer clear if you're looking for a positive memorable experience.

With attentive service and outstanding food, La Clandestina stands out as a favorite among visitors to Arezzo.
So delicious plate especially the dessert and the kind person who served us was very cheerful and helpful ❤️

Too lazy service, too long waiting. Menu introduction costs 3.5€ per guest (coperto), and they do not ask you about this. Antipasti were good (especially tartar with the bone). The second steak wasn't medium with a little bit of blood as was tolded but was totally raw inside (blue), however, I liked it. Overall atmosphere was good. In fact, you can visit this place for food, but I would recommend that for drink and snack.

This is one of the best restaurants in town! Amazing set up, lovely decor, over the moon tasty food, and great staff. I don't understand how this is not rated 5 stars! My only critic: the "pannocchia" special of the day must be included on the permanent menu, it was the best dish I ever tasted!!!!! Super recommended! Don't miss this restaurant!

What a gem! I knew it would be a good restaurant from reading all the reviews, but was I surprised! At first when we walked in, it looked a bit empty. We followed our waiter to the table and were guided to a table in their patio which was very lively. Also, we were there on a Monday so I would definitely recommend booking a table there!! The waiter explained the menu and we started our dinner with some lovely cocktails. We both and a boccadilla. We had some tapas and wanted to share.. which was not a problem. They added one more taco to our order so we would not have any problems to share our dish.. I wanted a glass of wine and usually it is more common to grab a bottle.. but they asked me which flavours I enjoy and let me taste one for a glass and it was very good! So good I wanted another one. The main dishes were superb. We had a ceviche and a dish with octopus. Lots of flavour and the portions were not too big, neither too small..! What a great osteria and atmosphere! Would definitely come back!

(Translated by Google) A pasta all'amatriciana to throw at him, pasta not even cooked well, pieces of tomato cut badly, bad taste. Then I asked for grilled vegetables brought to the table in a kind of ashtray, all attached, courgettes and aubergines and most of them burnt. Friendly female staff, many made mention of the lighting which, yes, creates a certain atmosphere, but the room is practically in darkness. So a few more lights on wouldn't hurt. Not at all satisfied. Bill: 23 euros (cover charge+water+pasta+vegetables). The Dirty Rat is an excellent restaurant with delicious food and a lovely place to stay in Arezzo. It was fully booked when we visited, but the host was able to squeeze us in between two reservations. If you're around, definitely stop by the Dirty Rat and enjoy some great food!
Our lunch was fantastic and well worth the price: - great menu with all the local specialties; - we asked for a well done bistecca alla fiorentina but chef declined to do this claiming that meat quality is too high for such a maltreatment - greatly appreciated as we followed his advice and had an excellently prepared bistecca; - pasta was al dente and bruschetta with delicious tomatoes; - service was professional and friendly; - we paid app 200 eur for four people.

We absolutely loved our stay, the food, and the wine! But most of all, our server, Djordje, made our entire evening with his wonderful service and dedication. Nestled within the charming confines of an old palazzo in Arezzo, Octavin is a delightful culinary gem that offers an intimate dining experience. The inviting atmosphere is enhanced by glass mirrors and thoughtfully arranged books that create a homey vibe.
It was a great experience. The food was special and original. The pairing with drinks (wine and kambucha) was done very well. We had full and great service as hoped for in this small place. We would absolutely recommend the restaurant.
Raymond S — Google review
Caught our attention as it claims to serve traditional and local food without too many amendments. My girlfriend is pregnant so they've done of course some modifications to the tasting menu. At the time that I got the beef tartare, which was something really worthy to try as I love fennel seeds, she got a raw diced beetroot with vinegar. I think there could have been some more fun in it. Unfortunately, for personal taste, we didn't appreciate that much every single dish, which is normal. The thing is that no one seemed to care about it. No one asked us why we were leaving whole portions of food untouched. Professional staff but lacked in customer care. Overpriced. Unfortunately not recommended.
Enrico T — Google review
Small portions, expensive but great taste and service
Rozanna A — Google review
A superb culinary experience, something which you can not so easily find even among the top-rated restaurants, relating to the common demand and expectation. Octavin offers a super sophisticated journey through the smells, flavours, and colours of Italy, with a particular focus on the culture of Tuscany, between tradition and innovation, certainty and experiment, research on the past and overview of the future. Octavin is definitely not a place for anyone (even because of the small-sized room, which guarantees a strictly selected and quiet environment where each customer can receive the most exclusive care and attention) not at least for those who simply would like to eat "good and tasty". Octavin is more like an out of common experience, some special gift that once in your life you want to make to yourself. The team, the presentation, the food and wines, are something you don't want to enjoy when you are in a hurry, when you feel distracted, or when you are simply "hungry." Octavin needs attention, like an unknown road you are riding on, to a place where you've never been.

Passed by and wanted to have a nice drink. The place is beautiful and the staff was incredibly polite and inviting, beyond the normal catch and snatch a customer type. As we weren't quite sure which drink we wanted, we sked the waiter and he gave an initial recommendation, however he offered to bring the bartender. Bartender was world-class and listened to what we felt like, and made his recommendations from what we told him. Not the drinks we initially looked at, but he was spot on. They were absolutely amazing. Listening to the waiter talking to other customers showed that all employees were there with each their passion. With the drinks we had a small snack which was as surprising as it was delicious. A small cone that looked like a dessert, surprised with being a pate, and pivoted and surprised once again with a passion fruit bottom. It sounds strange but it worked. I highly recommend this place for a drink. And I will certainly return to try their food at some point.

The best restaurant in Arezzo. The best cocktail bar in Arezzo. If you are having the pleasure to visit during these days, you have to try their cocktails (they serve an incredible Negroni accompanied by an hand made orange candy) and the pici all’aglione they are offering. If you’re there during warmer evenings, make sure to dine outside, the square by night is such a romantic view!
Enoid S — Google review
Strongly recommend avoiding this place (based on personal experience). The atmosphere felt overly pretentious, and the service left much to be desired. Staff insisted on upselling the pre-set menus, house cocktails, and oysters, which came across as pushy rather than hospitable. The risotto lacked any creaminess, the duck was undercooked, and the so-called “gourmet” portions were laughably small—my veal portion was easily under 100g. I personally found the sauces uninspired. While it’s fair to mention that the starters and pre-dessert were complimentary, they were minimal and not particularly impressive. To top it off, we waited over 30 minutes for the bill, despite requesting it three times. Honestly, do yourself a favor and skip this one.

3 set menù (meat fish veggies) but you can also mix the courses or itemize them. The young and highly professional team is proposing recipes partly rooted and foraged locally ( pici, fegatini, all the great veggies and herbs), reinvent the obvious, build an highly technical scenografie and will take you thru a flavorful journey. Friendly and passionate service . Beautiful terrace set in Piazza Grande.

Eating here has been the highlight of our trip. This place provides a unique and fun experience for their customers - there is no menu but rather many freshly made items behind a deli counter. You can choose from a variety of their homemade pastas to pair with any of their delicious sauces, along with many other main courses such as beef and pork. After selecting your items, the chefs cook them on the spot for you to watch. We tried numerous things and each was more delicious than the last. Don’t miss out on the house wine! We ordered a glass with food and ended up leaving with 4 bottles to take home. In addition to the excellent food, every staff member we interacted with was incredibly kind, friendly, helpful, and humorous. Though we are not staying in Arezzo and only took a day trip here, we be returning this trip solely to eat here again.

WHAT A WONDERFUL REVIVAL +++ Arezzo is not an ordinary place, but a city full of miracles. Certainly, it was not just by occasion that Roberto Benigni went for his film to Arezzo. Still memorable. I went for many years to the "old" Gastronomia Cervo, which was a place of great culture, and of discretion, like in a wonderful film. It was not necessary to eat a lot, but everything was delicious. And also the "delicatesse store" at the ground floor was admirable, buying "artichauts" or some fish, or Vitello tonnato. And the owner was of an absolute perfect politeness, once I came back after a year. I am very happy that the place is back, to the benefit of Arezzo. Sleep at Graziella Patio a good hundred meters away,

My husband and I visited here on the 10th of May. It is a half hour walk from the train station but probably only a five minute taxi drive. We like to walk. It was a pretty straight walk and easy to find. It is close to the Minerva hotel. It is a really special restaurant. The two waiters are really magical. They made us feel so welcome and are really passionate to deliver the exceptional food that the kitchen produces. We loved the names of the dishes and the creative use of ingredients. The Snow's Noise was the best pasta dish we have ever had. We had stuffed morel mushrooms that were incredible, the pasta dish, pigeon and a dessert. There were other complimentary dishes too. There was a pre desert on our tasting menu that had strawberries and Szechwan pepper in a custard that I am still dreaming about. Our table was really private and large but the table next to us were friendly and the whole restaurant had such a lovely atmosphere. If I lived close enough I would visit every week..The tasting menu was €60 around £50. You'd pay around three or four time this price in the UK for the same quality of food. Exceptional value and a must visit if you are in Arezzo.

Porcavacca is a hidden gem in Arezzo, away from the touristy areas and tucked in a local neighborhood. The restaurant boasts a beautiful large terrace that is perfect for filmmakers looking for an authentic Italian backdrop. Visitors have raved about the perfectly rare sliced steak with arugula and grana, as well as the delightful chianina burgers. The wine pairing is described as simple yet optimal, and the duck Bolognese has been praised as magnificent.
An excellent experience that allowed us to enjoy an authentic Florentine steak. A picturesque and genuinely Tuscan place. We tried the truffle steak and the tiramisu. It was excellent.

“From Butcher Shop Straight to the Table – Unfortunately Without the Detour Through the grill” We chose this restaurant with great anticipation, after all, a butcher shop with a restaurant sounds like pure carnivore heaven! Unfortunately, the visit turned out to be more of a case study in how to scare off diners. The welcome? Well… if a distant, emotionless nod counts as “warm,” then yes, we instantly felt like old friends. The waiter gave off the vibe of someone who had a thousand places he’d rather be, and made sure we could feel that existential crisis in every interaction. Stressed, checked out, and about as interested in us as a cat is in salad. When ordering, the first surprise: the question of how we’d like our steak cooked was never asked. When I politely inquired if I could have it medium, the answer was: “We always do it our way.” Wow! Finally, a restaurant that relieves me of the heavy burden of having my own opinion. The result: a steak that was supposedly medium rare, but in my eyes was closer to still mooing. Presentation? Also a highlight. The prized Bistecca wasn’t placed in the middle of the table, but rather plonked down at the very edge, as if the waiter himself was embarrassed to serve it. Later, when he asked how it was and we explained it was far too raw for us, his reaction was a disinterested “ah”, delivered with the same enthusiasm as someone listening to a weather report. And then? He simply walked away. No concern, no offer, no nothing. Conclusion: If you’ve ever wanted to feel like an unwelcome guest at your own dinner, this is the place. Steak: top. Service: flop. Or to put it differently: in this butcher shop, it’s not just the meat that gets slaughtered.

this are passionate meat nerds! and they cherish their 2000+ yr old local cow breed Chiannina - from working and sacrifice animal under the Etruscans to best in class T-Bone steak - yes, order the Fiorentina. and don’t dare tell them how to cook it - they know 😉! the outstanding quality cuts, the excellent woodfire preparation and the quirky italo rebel atmosphere make this place a must visit in Arezzo only tiny request - please add some top tier natural wines, like Foradori and Occhipinti. tx

We came here very excited to try the famed fiorentina. Unfortunately, man in the picture is extremely anti-American. He told me the steak would cost 500 euros. We attempted to clarify several times, even using Google Translate, because it said 50 euro/kg on the menu and we were not asking for a 10kg steak. He insisted that the fillet was the right amount of meat for my table. In total, we ordered a bottle of wine, the Tuscan sampler antipasto, the duck ragu, and the fillet. The wine and the sampler came right away, but 90 minutes later literally every table around us was eating fiorentina (some tables had 2 or 3 of them) and we still didn’t have even the pasta. We ended up closing our tab early and leaving. This place has a great reputation and it looked like you would get wonderful service if you are anything other than American.

I asked for a Fiorentina, they proposed to me a steak from USA !!!! No comment!!! 1.8 kg of steak and once arrived at the table it seems as 500 gr. The cost was 50 euro / kg! No cooked properly! Totally unhappy

When we walked up to the empty restaurant and asked the waitress if they had a table for 4, she said "I'll go ask" but then wandered off to set tables and polish wine glasses without asking anyone anything. This kind of set the tone for the evening. Eventually an older man saw us just standing there and gave us a table. The food (schlepped to the outside area from the actual restaurant by a man with a giant very heavy looking tray) was very average. My daughter had tortelli with truffles and they were just tortelli with a bunch of cream dumped on top and some truffle shavings. I had baby back ribs that were extremely salty and too dry. My husband's hamburger was ok but the bun was slightly stale. Service was purfunctory, prices relatively high and music kind of irritating.

My wife and I enjoyed the sliced steak with arugala and shavings of grana. The meat was served perfectly rare as our second course after we shared a dish of ravioli. You need to eat here, it will not disappoint! Welcoming from the start, no issue that I was a single diner despite this being antiques market day, and exemplary service. The pasta dish I ordered from the full menu was a delight and all the little extra dishes that came throughout the meal made this a wonderful experience. I was aiming to be more adventurous and NOT order tiramisu, but I caved in. I am so glad I changed my mind as I was transported to tiramisu heaven!! The whole experience yesterday will live long in the memory and on the palate, and is right up there as one of my best meals ever. :-) P.S. It was also great value for money.

Il Covo dei Briganti is a unique and delicious Italian restaurant with delicious food. The service is wonderful and the atmosphere welcoming. The food is different in flavour profile and much better than most restaurants found in Tuscany. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit!
Strolling into Il Covo dei Briganti felt like unearthing a time capsule—except instead of gold coins, it’s filled with old tools, crates, and an impressive knack for mixing rustic charm with culinary magic. It’s not every day you find a restaurant that looks like it moonlights as a blacksmith’s workshop but manages to have the sound system of a top-tier nightclub. Talk about priorities! We kicked off our culinary adventure with a glass of Affligem beer from the tap—crisp, refreshing, and exactly what you need after exploring Arezzo. Then came the star-studded food lineup. First up, **focaccia fritta with stracchino and prosciutto cotto**, which was essentially a cloud of fried perfection, lovingly stuffed with creamy cheese and delicate ham. Next, the **macaroni aretini with duck sauce** was so rich and flavorful, we briefly considered adopting duck-based diets. And the **tortello con ripieno di patate viole with sausage juice**? Let’s just say if purple potatoes were as cool in childhood as they are in this dish, we’d have had much more enthusiastic veggie days. The staff deserves a standing ovation—not just for their stellar service, but for the owner’s warm, personal touch, chatting up every guest like we’re long-lost friends. The combination of hearty food, welcoming vibes, and a decor that doubles as a conversation starter made for an unforgettable experience. Final thoughts? Il Covo dei Briganti is less of a restaurant and more of a lucky discovery. If you’re in Arezzo and miss this spot, you're doing it wrong.

Happenstance to dine in this amazing restaurant- and so glad I found it. My meal was piping hot, and simply the best pasta so far on my trip in Italy- and believe me, I’ve had quite a bit of pasta! You’ll ask yourself, “How do they do it?” The owner is so personable and kind, amazing staff- a highlight of my trip for sure! Don’t miss this one!

Our experience was wonderful. The staff was very accomodating to our large group of 10 with 4 kids. Althought we did split up and they were very busy, they made sure we were taken care of. The location is excellent off the main plaza. It was very popular and they were busy but we were still able to be seated. The food was very good and exactly what we needed & wanted. The pasta was fresh and flavorful. The food came quickly and was well priced. We ordered meatballs, pici with ragout and strozzapreti and tomato sauce for the kids (adjusted meno for kids) and they gobbled it up. Portion size was good. We ordered beer, prosecco, ravioli stuffed with violet potatoes and dressed with butter & sage, caprese salad, and pici with a beautiful tuscan garlic. Definitely would come back!

I have been to Italy dozens of times, and have Italian citizenship. Italian restaurants always leave you alone even after it is time to pay the bill. We had an incredible meal at this restaurant. The bruschette was to die for, so was the taglietelle. The pork shank was out of this world. And this is where it becomes unique. We could not finish our meal. For the first time in fifty years of dining in Italy, the waiter came up before we finished and while we were staring at the remaining food, and he asked, "So, do you surrender?" We laughed. But the point is that as good as the food at this restaurant is, it is also inexpensive because the servings are huge. You will spend next to nothing for a great meal.

Ordered tagliatelle and got tagliata instead. The waiter apologized and offered to fix it, but after waiting more than 45 minutes for our food, sending it back wasn't an option. We just wanted to eat and go on with our day. We the tagliata was with porcini mushrooms, but the mushrooms weren't cleaned properly and were had sand and taste of dirt. Again, with the incredibly long wait times, we just couldn't risk sending it back to the kitchen. To top it all off, when the check came, we were charged for the more expensive tagliata instead of the tagliatelle we ordered. It's really disappointing that a restaurant's mistake would be put on the customer, especially after such a long wait and poorly prepared food. Unfortunately, due to failures on so many levels, I have to give one star.

'O Scugnizzo is a trendy eatery that serves delicious and unique Neapolitan pizzas, along with a selection of crafted beers, in a stylish setting adorned with photographs. Customers rave about the outstanding quality of the pizza, describing it as brilliant and one of the best they have ever had in Italy. The chili oil provided an incredibly spicy kick that impressed even those who are accustomed to fiery flavors. The base is crispy and the sauce is exceptionally tasty.
The best Neapolitan pizza I’ve tasted, the dough was beautifully light, full of flavour. You can tell they use the finest ingredients. Good value for money. Staff very welcoming and friendly.

Pizza selection that we had were great. Curated by a Michelin star chef...I think there are 2 and we had both of them. "Octavin" was a one of a kind pizza that was wonderful and worth the visit. "3 tomatoes and a star" was also ordered and a great choice but to us, Octavin was so unique and satisfying. We also enjoyed the BaBa Misu for desert, superb! The presentation of the simple Machiato was excellent and was great as well.

To start the server kindly seated us without a reservation and had a smile on her face the entire time. The pizza was better than I could have expected with the freshest ingredients. Must visit if you are in Arezzo!

It's only fair to say that if it was not for Greta, we would have stopped coming and eating one of the best pizzas ever! Her running around back and forth smiling to everyone, unlike the old lady behind the counter whos negative vibes and constat frowning will keep many away not mentioning scaring little kids. The chef is amazing and helpful,he is friendly and knows pizza well. Don't know why when you call for apportionment, they always say no, but online, it's much easier to book?!?!

Absolutely amazing Pizzas here, authentic and very tasty. You can see the chef takes great care when making them, checking everything before it goes in the oven. Best pizza I've had in my life.

Truly exceptional Neapolitan style pizza. The best we’ve had in Tuscany, in fact. Service was excellent. Wine recommendation was perfect. A new regular for us in Arezzo.

Pizza’s are magnificent! They do not have all kind of pizza’s like you are used to (like tuna or traditional salami) but once you picked one, you will not be disappointed! I didn’t like the QR code ordering system, so we used the old fashioned way! Dolci were great as well.

La Capannaccia is a picturesque villa nestled in the tranquil Tuscan countryside, just a short distance from Florence. The spacious apartments are elegantly decorated in traditional Tuscan style and come with fully equipped kitchenettes and fireplaces. The on-site restaurant offers authentic Tuscan cuisine made with local ingredients and features a rustic ambiance with breathtaking valley views. Visitors praise the delicious dishes such as mushroom risotto, pasta with wild boar, and grilled meats, along with the attentive service and stunning vistas.
Truly genuine Tuscan restaurant. Every dish is cooked with local products according old recipes, full options for every taste! Don't expect too much communication in English, but they can handle basic English. The place looks like a old gathering mountain hut, with an amazing view on the valley! We went for New year's Eve dinner, very crowded, but they still managed very well! Prices are good for the quality, definitely worth a visit, just few minutes by car from the beautiful city of Arezzo

We've been here, during our tuscany holiday this year. The place is located at the upper hill and therefore has a great view over the valley. Very beautiful. Unfortunately we came without a reservation and as outside as been completely booked, we had to stay inside. The stuff is friendly and service is sufficent enough fast. Even the food was delicious, even though we have had better pasta the days before. Regarding the big grill, this place seems to be more famous for a good piece of meat. Unfortunately this is my main point of critic. Three people of us ordered the ribs. They have been served on one single plate. The amount of ribs was so less, that in the beginning we had to ask if this is for one person (which would have been good size) or for the three of us. Unfortunately the answer was "for the three of us". We ended everyone of us having three (small to medium sized ribs) - that was about 50g of meat - and even though we had a side dish, a starter and a dessert, we left this place a little bit hungry. With a price of over 12€ or 13€ per person (the ribs only) the amount of ribs was way to small. Make the amount of ribs according to the price and this is a very beautiful place to have a dinner!

Food is ok, but definitely not the best. The antipasto was acceptable but considering that we were in Tuscany they could have used fresher prosciutto and better cheese Pizza is wafer thin, more like a cracker rather than real pizza. The sauce was very tasty tough!
Valentina C — Google review
Food was great, the views are very pretty, but unfortunately the staff makes it a lesser experience. As international guests you get less attentive treatment than Italians. Large families that arrived after our party of two were offered menus, water and wine way before we even got a server to come over to us. Even when in line to pay italian guests were helped first. Furthermore, there's a house cat that runs among the tables and unfortunately decided that our florentine steak smelled so good she'd beg for some, and then dug her nails into my thigh. We tipped our normal amount but in hindsight have a bit of a sour taste on the experience.

i 3 Bicchieri is a stylish, glass-fronted restaurant known for its creative menus with a focus on fish and seafood. The restaurant offers a 6-course taster menu along with paired wine options, providing an excellent dining experience.
59€only_and_pulpo_in_tempura ++ A TRUE MIRACLE IN AREZZO ** ENJOY + It is now the fifth year (2020 !) I am going to 3 bicchieri in Arezzo, and I must say that the place has - always - gained quality and attention with every visit. The restaurant is not very large, but the atmosphere both in the classical part and on the "Wintergarten" is pleasant. In May 2018, I went two times to the place, and a possible good choice, if you do not like to eat so much, is ordering two starters. My absolute favourite became "pulpo in tempura", a small dish, but of a quality which was worth (indeed !) of a two star Michelin restaurant. French People would speak about "extraordinary delicacy" ("delicatesse", in French, for sure), and there is nothing more to say about. And the pulpo is not the only dish which falls in such a category, as I discovered. I was served by my now usual waiter, a young man with background from Asia, also with "delicatesse", and recommending delicious wine. And he is a person of a particular politeness, much estimated. I ended up by having a very nice discussion with a local guest. Even with a glass of wine for him, the bill did not exceed 59_€, which as a symbol could form a kind of publicity for Tre Bicchieri at Arezzo. I was coming from Venezia and Firenze and went afterwards to Rome. Arezzo is a wonderful "Island" in between, like a pasture, and Tre Bicchieri is forming part of that pasture. Go to see the frescos of Piero della Francesco at the church and have some "pulpo in tempura" and a glass of wine (or two), and you will find yourself very close to an Italy worthwile to go. Then, even Berlusconi seems pale at TV. Pulpo ! NB : Came back in October 2018, March 2019 and February 2020. Had wonderful conversations at the restaurant with my local contact person. Delicious, again, and very forthcoming service. And we were greated by the so called "Grand Chef", he being an extraordinary person ! Walk on, please ! ++ Over 28.000 clicks on the pictures ++ +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ FROM record, useful , like Michelin : Very nice restaurant, offfering delicious food and a very forthcoming and agreeable service. It is not the first time that I was coming to Arezzo, but 3 bicchieri is now definitively one of the places to go to, be it for lunch (I came from the train station) or for dinner. The menu list is well thought, and already the second time I came back the waiter paid me quite particular attention, in a very polite way. Definitively, the chef has a hand for dishes which have a very tangible taste, really nice. You really feel on holiday, and the choice being offered is nice. And, compared to Firenze which is much more expensive, the prices at 3 bicchieri are "realistic" for purposes of Arrezzo, a good thing. A place to return to ! In May 2018, there was Arezzo in the morning fog, quite an event, as it can bee seen on the photographs. Very difficult to take pictures ! Another reason to go to Arezzo ! And I returned in October 2018, taking -then - some new pictures. Very quiet, and again, excellent food and service. And the "great chef" came to greet us, what a pleasure. +++ More photographs, some a little bit rough, added in 2019. Wonderful black-and-white film. Enjoy ! Arezzo will bring you back to Italy, for sure ! ++ Despite Corona, also, in 2020, enjoy the place. Wonderful Food, of sublime taste. ++ I will not make it in 2022, but for 2024 Arezzo is "on the list". I miss it. Indeed, and very much. Such a wonderful place.

I really had a great experience at I 3 Bicchieri, a hidden restaurant that only locals know. We had a fish tasting menu, and it was excellent! It was surprisingly one of my best fish lunch I have ever had, definitely to try.

Please, don’t go there! I went to this restaurant to celebrate my birthday with my family. All meals were disgusting. We ordered a risotto (that one on the picture) which cames with raw shrimp, some kind of dirty water, a green sweet foam and other stuff we could not identify. We ordered more 3 meals and we couldn’t eat anything. All meals were soooo bad tasting!!! Staff wasn’t friendly. When I thought that tragic birthday night was over, my mom felt sick the whole night. It’s the worst meal I had during my 4-days stay in Tuscany. Here’s why: ordered pink wine, gave white; ordered “Scallops”, gave pork chops instead (bad translation maybe? But that doesn’t justify the 12 euro price); the taste? Really average, it’s like what you can order anywhere for a piece grill meat in UK or in France without any seasoning beside salt and pepper. I came because of the good overall review, but didn’t look carefully, my bad.

This quaint gem in the heart of Arezzo simply exudes charm — but what truly made the evening unforgettable were the three wonderful ladies who welcomed us with such warmth and care. Even on a busy evening, they were attentive, kind, and genuinely made us feel special. A heartfelt shout-out to Katia, whose thoughtful service and gracious presence elevated our experience even more! As for the food — absolutely divine. We each ordered different varieties of tortelli, lamb and berry reduction, pumpkin with guanciale and asparagus ricotta, and every bite was a delight. The pork rib we shared at the end was the perfect finish — tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The setting couldn’t have been better. We chose to sit outside on a warm summer evening, watching the world stroll by as we savored each course. It all came together to create a truly magical evening. Highly recommended — a must if you’re in Arezzo!

I had heard rave reviews about this place from my students. I asked for a table with my friend at 7:02 when they opened at 7 and was declined. I was told to wait 10 more minutes, which I accepted. A line started forming behind us, and another worker begrudgingly seated us. I felt like I was doing the servers a disservice by being there. I got the pumpkin ravioli dish; it was decent. The tiramisu was runny, overly wet, and lacking flavor.

We found this place while roaming around Arezzo centro, we liked how the ambience was chill and all the ladies serving are kind and attentive. I had the ravioli alla carbonara which was really good, and my husband had the trippa aretina which according to him was the best trippa that he had, it wasn’t like any other trippa that has that weird taste. The price and quality ratio is excellent. We were in a hurry and wanted a quick lunch, but next time we will try more of their dishes.

Lovely place near the center, with delicious food and great service/atmosphere. Highly recommended. The star of the menu are the Tortelli, of course. Lots of awesome flavours available but I went for the vegetarian option: burrata-stuffed with a vegetable sauce. They were delicious, with a very delicate taste. The service is great too: everyone on staff was quick, nice, and super professional. Kudos to everyone! The owner shared she prefers working with local and lesser-known brands (was talking about wines) and i think it’s a great approach, more restaurants should do the same and support other local small businesses. 👍👍👍 Overall I had a wonderful dining experience and can’t recommend this place enough.

The warm and welcoming staff create an inviting atmosphere that makes every visit memorable. Diners rave about the delightful vegetable dishes and homemade pici with tomato sauce, all crafted with care to ensure satisfaction.
A bit hidden but for me a great place. Very friendly and delicious food. 👌👌👌

The staff became some of my favorite people in Arezzo. I came so many times that I had to take a photo with them on the last day. The food is fantastic, Mariano makes sure that you are enjoying your dish, and the desert is to die for. I will recommend this place to everyone.

Mariano and his staff are supernice and so is his food. Vegetables (cabbage and friarielli with pinenuts and sultanas and medieval soup were delicious and so were the pici with tomatoes sauce. I definitely recommend this place!

Worst service ever in my life at a restaurant in Italy. Got the food order totally wrong. Sent the meatballs before pasta, then sent them after the pasta microwaved.. While I hadn't received anything yet my friends got their first and second course together. Plus the food is nothing special. Ginger meatballs were without ginger. Cacio and pepe seemed made with cream. And finally when the cook came to offer some excuse for the poor service he started insulting food habits from my city...

Absolutely amazing food! I go there whenever I can, and the owners and those who work there are so amazing! I can’t say much besides YOU NEED TO GO THERE!

Coffee O' Clock is an excellent, hidden coffee shop in the city centre. The atmosphere and decor are top-notch, and the coffee is always delicious. Service can be a bit average, but this place is definitely worth a visit if you're a fan of good coffee.
Cool place to get coffee any time of the day. Great range of drinks for a fair price. I ordered the Caramel Macchiato, which was delicious. I also had a chocolate croissant that I really enjoyed. The staff was very helpful even without the knowledge of the English language. In conclusion, I would definitely recommend this place for its chill vibe, great coffee and friendly staff.

Divine cafe (especially espresso macchiato) and delicious croissant with chocolate!

Great coffee shop found off the tourist track. Excellent atmosphere and decor in the cafe. Coffee was warm but quality ingredients where used and prices are reasonable. Service was average when we went unfortunately.
Shane M — Google review
We struck it lucky with this great wee place. The food was delicious - generous focaccia slices with a range of fresh good fillings on offer - and very well priced. They'll toast it if you want. The coffee was excellent. There is a tempting array of sweet items, from cakes to pastries and slices, and everything we tried was delicious. It's not flashy, but a cosy place to be, and the service was warm and genuine. Recommended!

Bar Stefano - Gli svizzeri is a charming Italian bar and cafe nestled in the lively city of Arezzo. It's a popular gathering spot for both locals and visitors, offering an inviting atmosphere and an array of authentic culinary delights. The menu features expertly brewed coffee, refreshing beverages, delectable pastries, as well as salads, sandwiches, and gelato.
I really recommend this place, you will find fresh and tasty pastries, good coffee and high quality cookies. The prices are very decent, you will not regret it.

Paola and Stefano are fantastic and provide excellent service. Pastries are always fresh!

As part of my exchange program in Arezzo, the program gives us vouchers to go to different food locations, my favourite has to be Bar Stefano. With the little Italian I’ve been learning, they are patient and always happy to help. The coffee is a ten out of ten and i made it my mission to try most of their pastries and cookies, my favourite is the thin vanilla biscotti and their cannoli. Their terrace is lovely for reading and journaling, and their workers are very nice and welcoming. Will remember this place for the rest of my life❤️

Stopped in Caffé Pasticceria Stefano because of the crowd of locals and old world charm. My « Italian » breakfast was a pot of Breakfast tea and a cornetto (which was a pastry like a croissant). The cornetto I chose had a generous custard filling. The inside had pastry layers showing lamination but this pastry wasn’t laden with butter (like a French croissant). It was light and fluffy. I asked and found out the bakery was upstairs from the shop! The cost was moderate: Pot of water for tea + cornetto (paste) was €5.30. The caffé has several rooms inside, an outside patio and tables on the street. I’d love to return to try some of the other pastries and sweets! They look yummy! Food & Beverage: 5 Stars (a German tea brand) Service: 4.5 stars (they try to keep tables clear (I had to clear mine) & it might be a bit difficult to pay for a ticket to get your food & drink) Ambiance: 4.5 stars (Nice decor! It’s a bit hectic on busy fair days but a plus is there’s a WC upstairs)!

Great pasticceria that serves also serves very nice ice cream! Perfect for pause during your visit of the city center of Arezzo. Just go in, order some coffee and pastery and/or ice cream along with that. Has seats inside and outside. Would come back again!

I had a very bad experience at Bar Stefano. While I was at the hotel, I started craving some hot chocolate. I left the hotel in search of some delicious hot chocolate in the area, but unfortunately, I discovered Bar Stefano where things didn't go as planned. I was served expired hot chocolate, which made me run to the bathroom immediately after tasting their hot beverage. Thinking that things couldn't get worse, their bathroom smelled horrible... The smell of "fishes" was so unbearable that I took the risk to run back to my hotel. Hopefully, I made it back to the hotel. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Nice location, traditional shop inside. Limited English for an area exposed to tourism. Not much of a smile on anyone in this store. An air of arrogance about owner/s. Food acceptable.

(Translated by Google) Lovely little place with gourmet Tuscan delicacies. They prepare sandwiches that you can eat at some tables outside. We ordered 2 sandwiches, one large and one small salami with cheese (very filling) and two bottles of sparkling water and we paid €12. The very friendly owner advised us and when he found out that we were coming from Spain he told us that he preferred to speak better in Spanish than in English because he likes to practice the language. He gave us a couple of cantucci fatti (almond cookies) for dessert so we could try the typical sweet of the area. If you want to eat something delicious and of exceptional quality, it is an excellent option.
