Larnach Castle is absolutely beautiful! So well looked after and full of fascinating stories to discover. The staff are incredible too, friendly, welcoming, and clearly passionate about the place. All around you, native birds through the gardens, which are stunning on their own and open up to breathtaking views. Inside, there are plenty of rooms to wander through, each with its own little surprises, and you can even climb up to the very top of the castle for a view that’s just wow. If you can, go in summer when the gardens are at their most majestic, but even in winter, the whole place feels magical, like stepping into another world.

It is a mock castle on Otago Peninsula built in 1871 and privately owned. It is opened to the public daily as a tourist attraction and offers tours, events and accommodation. It has magnificent gardens and there are guided tours within the castle. It is a significant tourist attraction in Dunedin, receiving approximately 120,000 guests per annum. Popular with tourists. Wear comfy shoes, take water, wear hat, sunscreen especially when touring the gardens. Beautiful place. Lots to see. Parking is easy. Great place for photography. Toilets available. Restaurants available serving a variety of food. Uneven terrain, lot of walking.

What an interesting place to visit! We stayed in the stables accomodation. Considering the price which includes breakfast and the entry to the castle and gardens its pretty cheap. The breakfast was great and staff very helpful. Rooms were clean but we found it to be a little loud (mainly water pipes and large entry doors closing) up until midnight. Castle and history is pretty amazing

Beautifully restored 19th century "castle " country home and gardens. We visited on a very rainy spring day, but the topiary and spring flowers were lovely. The interior contains period appropriate fixtures and decor, complete with 19th century bathrooms, family heirlooms and clothing. The woodwork and decorative details have been carefully restored. The narrow stairway to the tower was fun! This is an historic site, and private restoration of the Castle is ongoing. There are seperate accommodations on the grounds, but we didn't visit those.

We so enjoyed our stay here. It was exceptional. We had the best time at the dinner and making new interesting friends there. The food was amazing. What really made the stay was the night manager’s kindness. We are sorry we can’t remember his name, but he was amazing. He was knowledgeable, passionate, and an expert multitasker. Whatever he’s being paid, triple it!

Paid to visit the gardens $24. If you want to go in the castle as well it's $48. The gardens are lovely and the outside was just as nice. Coming from the UK it's not the I was expecting but it's lovely all the same from what we saw on the outside. You get pamphlets when you buy a tickets detailing the history and a map which was nice. The cafe/ballroom is something else entirely....so grand and very historic. The open fire places added a wonderful touch and you can sit outside in the marquee or even at the tables on the grass. We only got a drink so can't comment on the food but what we did see from other people it looked lovely. The afternoon tea we wished we'd done. It was a lovely visit.

Had a lovely stay here overnight and enjoyed touring the castle the next morning after an absolutely wonderful breakfast prepared by their chef. Definitely plan to return, it was a wonderful experience all around. Especially the bathroom floor that is heated, and made our feet so happy!

Our kids enjoyed the science centre, spent a fair bit of time here, the planetarium was ok would've more liked to hear about facts of the solar system and see more planets than just the astrology constellations. Butterfly house was nice with some birds also. Most I've paid for a museum before.

I enjoyed my visit to the Dunedin Museum and Butterfly House. It's a fantastic place with a great mix of things to see. The butterfly house was a highlight — absolutely beautiful and calming, with so many colorful butterflies flying freely around you. I also really loved the photography exhibition, The museum overall was well-presented, interesting, and worth a visit if you're in the area. Highly recommend!

The butterfly exhibit and the planetarium are well worth the visit. As is the historical items from the area. The staff are super friendly, loads of different things for people with different interests. Highly accessible for people of all mobility types for most areas. Loved it!

The museum's experience is the best visit for me in Dunedin. I can't believe so many butterflies in front of my eyes! Amazing and must try in Dunedin. The museum is big and probably you have to spend a day here!

Was a lovely museum and spent a good 3 hours here, you definitely need to pay if you have kids to get into the science area and butterflies as they were the. Ist interesting areas. We paid $81 for our family to get into that and also the planetarium as well. I wouldn’t say it was worth it for that amount and wouldn’t go again because of the price but worth it if you want to tick it off the list or need something to do indoors. Also has a cafe which was great.

I recently visited the Tuhura Otago Museum and was thoroughly impressed by the wide range of exhibits on display. One of the standout attractions is the 2,500-year-old Egyptian mummy, which is astonishing to see in person. The museum's ship model display is also quite remarkable. Among the impressive collection, I was delighted to find a model of the ship my ancestors arrived on in 1930. The museum also features a LEGO display, which looks like a lot of fun, but it requires a separate ticket that I didn't purchase. Another highlight of the museum is the Wildlife Attic, where they have a variety of taxidermy animals from all over the world. It was fascinating to see such a diverse collection. Overall, I had a wonderful time exploring the exhibits, and the friendly staff made the experience even better. I highly recommend a visit to the Otago Museum for anyone interested in history, wildlife, and unique displays.

It's a really nice museum to learn more about the settlers in Dunedin and history around it. Friendly and helpful staff at the museum to help around. One of my favourite museums to go to. No tickets required.

This was a great little find in Dunedin. We were looking to fill some time and stumbled across this museum and it far exceeded my expectations for a free museum. Definitely worth the visit.

Definitely a learning journey, being in toitu museum. Plenty of exhibits, each station's very cool. Huge place to wander aimlessly for half a day. But its never boring.. i gained alot of insights and knowledge. :) Recommended. Its FOC, runs on donation. Go!

One of my favourite museums in New Zealand! I haven't visited since I was a kid in over a decade so it looked completely different from what I remembered. I learned so much about Dunedin's rich history, and the artifacts were cool too! Who would've thought a Lime scooter would end up in a museum?

This museum is a real treasure for Otago. Free entry, however you can make a donation. Very well laid out and a great place to spend a couple hours. Laid out so you can travel in time from Otago's earliest begins till more recent times. Don't forget to pick up the free map to easily navigate the exhibition halls. Enjoy

I give this place a 5 star. Only in Dunedin for 3 days but have had this on the bucket list for some time. I booked a guided tour and our guide was a lovely lady named Chris. The history around this house and the Olveston family was very interesting and engaging. The historical information was quite interesting yet a little sad considering the lifespan of the family members. If you have some spare time make sure you book a guide here as I am positive you won’t be disappointed. The gardens are also a pleasure to walk through.

A must see for those with an interest in history and a rare chance to a see a home that’s kept as it was when it was given to the city. You’ll feel like you are walking into a time capsule as almost all the items in the home, including the vast art collection and even down to the fly swatter hanging in the kitchen, have been left as the original owners had it. In addition to this we had an extremely knowledgeable tour guide who told us all about the history of the family and also about the items in the home. We could tell she was passionate about the home and its history which really made the tour that much more memorable and fun! The intention with which the home was designed by the owners it’s also incredibly interesting and makes you think how you would design your own home. It’s truly a beautiful and unique location and well worth adding to your list of to do’s in Dunedin!

- Guided tours avail throughout the day - free to walk the grounds & go through reception & gift shop on the bottom floor - could easily spend a day here, there is so much to see! - the grounds, home & everything in it have been restored & maintained with absolute care & precaution - def recommend others to visit here even if you don't do a tour. It's quite breathtaking.

The staff are very friendly and make you feel welcomed as soon as you walk in. The house has so much to offer with all the high level collections and history. The garden is very nice to stroll around. There are also some lovely stuff in the gift shop as well. A must visit in Dunedin. Highly recommended.

I found this art gallery while walking around the city of Dunedin. The admission is free, and it has a very spacious and beautiful setting. There are paintings by many artists on display, so you might find a piece that you really like. I personally loved the painting of the polar bear.

I enjoyed myself.. the museum is free to roam but like any others, donations appreciated for maintenance and upkeep. I love the decor - the spiral stairs connecting the 2 higher levels. Maybe they are functional, just not to public. I liked how they set aside a corner for the kids. They can play, doodle and read there. They have an exhibition upstairs to create awareness about NZ's "diminishing natural habitats" and how the waters are being polluted. Another on breaking fashion icons and rules.. Cool stuff.

Small little art museum with free entrance in the middle of the city, I spent about 30 minutes looking around but If you appreciate art, you could probably spend an hour or more

Printmaking exhibition was awesome. Love visiting the Dunedin Art Gallery, always a treat. The shop is great too.

Loving the interactive art-play room for my preschool age children as well as the free simple-open ended Kinetic Sand workshop that even my baby engaged happily with for the duration. The kids enjoyed the Little / Big exhibition too. Thanks for engaging the little ones 👍

This building is well maintained and is multipurpose with seating that can be arranged to suit concerts and events like large dinners. It has a overhanging balcony in main hall area which increases seating capacity. The frontage has generous space for waiting crowds and it also has access to a cinema. Wheelchair access via a side door is available. Access is generally up a wide staircase.

Magic venue in the best litter city in NZ. Attended a charity function. Very well put together.

Cool old venue, but I don't recommend the upper gallery at all. Acoustics weren't great, the walk up goes on forever, the rows aren't marked (good luck finding your seat in the dark) and the seats are tiny and very uncomfortable. View of the performers is atrocious. Tops of their heads and shoes is about all you can see. I'd try the venue again, but only if seats on the main or first level were available.

Amazing venue, good open spaces, nice variety of rooms and that organ. Wow! Great location right in the heart of the city with many places to eat nearby.

We had a great morning here it gets very busy by ten am. They had a good selection of meat vegetables pastries and flowers. There are several coffee and food vendors. Prices are fair given it’s a farmers market. There is a paid parking lot adjacent or the public parking on the other side of the train tracks.

Smaller than I thought it would be, but the quality of the items on offer was very good.

First time visit.. a great and enjoyable experience for sure! The market boasts plenty of fresh fruit and veg stalls 👌🏻 we also made sure to stop by for croissants, chai and a slice of pizza! 😅 A live performance by the Maplewood String Band definitely added to the overall ambience of the market 🌟 Parking was available for $1 per hour ✌🏻

Was at the farmers market on Saturday. 14th May 2022. It was a rainy day but that didn’t stop the crowd from turning up to patronise the location. There was a large selection of food on display. Coffee carts. Pies. Vegetables. Wines. Fruits. Raspberry jams. A live band was playing throughout as well. We only bought the coffee, had some pies and bought some fruits. The experience was decent while not being spectacular. Had a better experience at the Christchurch farmers market previously.

No wonder why this market has consistently been voted as the best farmers market in the country. Top quality produce, smiling vendors, buzzing vibes and delicious offerings. If you are not a citizen of Dunedin then this place is a must visit site on Saturday morning at the beautiful railway station. One stop shopping for Xmas from this award winning farmer's market. As usual, loved the fresh produce on offer including stone fruit from central Otago, organic broccoli and potatoes from Oamaru and herbs, lettuce and salad greens from Mosgiel. Add meat and seafood offerings and you are sussed for a Xmas feast. Also loved the coffee, dumplings, baking and cheese and not to forget milk and butter from holy cow. Love our Saturday mornings, thanks to Otago farmer's market.

Lovely Farmers Market Where u can buy herbs, lettuce and tasty apple. Some fruits can go really cheap, some is quite expensive. But it’s always good to stroll the farmers market, have a cup of coffee, try bagel, crepe, cheese roll .. and enjoy a beautiful sunny day in Dunedin. People here don’t reveal the secret about how beautiful Dunedin is cause They just want enough tourists, but not too many 😄

Tried dumplings, bacon butties and Allpress coffee. Many fresh produce stores, no arts and crafts tho. You can also find fresh seafood here! And beautiful flowers.

It's a beautiful old theatre. Not huge but still feels grand. Good view of the stage from everywhere, the sound is great, the seats are comfy enough and not too cramped. There's always a good choice of shows/ events... something for everyone. 😃

Great wee experience here watching a musical for a change. Will for sure have to look in to other events here! There was just one small thing with the staff, they were quite rude at times especially at the end. Other than that and the squishy seating, it was a great experience and would go again!

Watched the Rock Tenors in action, as expected they did not disappoint. Highly recommend seeing them if you can, as they are touring the Sth Island soon.

Such a beautiful old building that needs a make over. It would be lovely to update the bar upstairs with new ambience to promote a relax and chat space.

Nice wee theatre. Needs a better ticketing option when hosting large events, I went to see Heath Franklin and it was advertised to pick up tickets from the theatre, they don't have a ticketing office. After much confusion the promoter sorted it out.

An intimate theatre in a beautiful old building .where you get to see the actors up close and personal never missing a thing. They offer alcoholic, non alcoholic and coffee beverages with great ice cream and nibbles . the bathrooms a on the bottom level down hand rail guided steps , a little step but nothing if you hold on tight and take your time . at the Fortune they offer a mixed range of plays and shows from local to international play writes , something for everyone at affordable prices.

You can visit the world's only mainland colony of Royal Albatross at the tip of the Otago Peninsula in Dunedin, New Zealand. Small guided tours to a glassed hide allows viewing of some of the nesting albatross. To protect the albatross from human disturbance, the headland is not publicly accessible. You can see adults in flight with their three metre wingspans as they glide around the headland. The centre is free to enter but tours are charged. Uneven terrain, lot of walking. Toilets available. Cafes available on site. Before the walkabout tour, you are given a demonstration/lecture about the birds and the work of the centre. Popular with tourists. Wear comfy shoes, take water, wear hat, sunscreen. Parking is easy. Amazing place to visit. Great place for photography.

We had a lovely afternoon today visiting the Royal Albatross Centre and doing the Classic Albatross Tour. Libby our guide was amazing - so passionate and informative. We learnt so much about these amazing birds and even better got to see the adults in flight and albatross fledglings nearly old enough and ready to take flight to South America. The red billed gulls also made themselves known - extremely comical and loud. A great visit.

Seeing Royal Albatross fledglings and parents, including feeding, was a very, very special experience. A well thought out visitor centre, and our viewing experience was enhanced by our very knowledgeable guide. The cafe is also worth a stop - the carrot cake is superb!

Awesome place to visit, didn't go on the tour, so missed seeing the Albatross - it was quite a blustery day. There are hundreds of Seagulls nesting here - that was a site to see. We had some lunch in the cafe - would recommend.

Amazing experience. We got to watch adults bringing food back to their chicks, and the viewing deck gave us such a good look. The guide was excellent and explained everything really well. Knowing it’s the only mainland breeding colony in the world makes it even more unique. Definitely well-worth a visit.

Had a really wonderful visit on World Albatross Day. Saw the birds right from the carpark gliding around and the chicks nesting were really special to see. In particular, I was impressed by the tiaki- the respect, passion, and conservation efforts in place to care for these beautiful creatures. I would certain recommend a visit to view and support conservation efforts for these birds and this place.

This was on my bucket list : It did not disappoint, absolutely amazing, went when the chick's were hanging out waiting for their parents to come back.. saw so many pass overs from the parents. LIBBY, our guide was the most fantastic guide and knew at the answers to my millions of questions.. BEST DAY EVER.. my 8 year old son loved it so much. We have been watching the live feed camera since going there. Everyone should have this to their bucket list

Fabulous tour by Marty this afternoon. Very informative and lots of artefacts to look at. The walking wasn't too far and the tasting session at the end was most enjoyable. Was a bonus to get 10% off in the shop too.

A very interesting and informative tour. Our guide, Marty, was witty and had answers to every question. We also enjoyed the tasting at the end of the tour! Shopping for souvenirs was also excellent. Christmas shopping done!!

We had an amazing tour with Carlos. From start to finish he was patient, never rushed us through and was thoroughly explanatory. If your into history and beer then this is a fantastic tour for you. From how it all started to now was a great insight to the legendary crafted beer we still drink today. Then at the end of the tour you get to taste some or all of the 9 beers + 1 apple cider which we tasted all 😄. Great value for money and highly recommended.

A really fun thing to do. And this is coming from a girl who is by no means a beer fanatic. Thomas was a great tour guide, incredibly knowledgable and very passionate. Good sense of humour too. Really cool to do a truly South Island experience, delicious beer tasting at the end, plus the gift shop does actually have quite cool stuff! Thanks for a fun arvo team :)

Great tour! It was really good getting to go around the brewery and learn all of the history. I believe our guide was Thomas and he was so helpful and answered all the questions. It was great at the end as well because you also got to try so many different beers. My boyfriend has loved speights whilst living in Nz so he loved it!! The only problem though is our tour group was so big- there was around 30 people so it meant it took a while to go through each room, harder to hear and not as comfortable. When we were in the history room we didn’t have enough time to read any as we were rushed though which was a shame. I would recommend they have smaller groups! Overall, I would really recommend going as it made our trip so great!

Very beautiful and calm place to spend some time relaxing surrounded by plants. It's not very big but it's a nice way to spend marine 40 minutes to an hour. There are plants native to China, a waterfall and a big pond with ducks and water lillys. There's a restroom and a gift shop too. There are some sitting areas as well.

Lovely morning spent at the gardens, such a beautiful place, tranquil and oh so pretty. We had tea at the end and played checkers nice start to a big day in Dunedin. Recommended.

Absolutely beautiful gardens!! They are maintained very well, have a great selection of sceneries, and have plaques spread across the site to learn more about the garden. I really loved the blend of using rocks and water along with greenery for the garden, it created a really tranquil atmosphere despite being so close to the city centre. Parking is nearby and a good almost-central location. Admission fee was reasonable, staff were super lovely and answered all my questions, and the gift shop was quaint but cute. I will definitely come back in the future, thank you again!!

A peaceful and beautifully designed spot right in the heart of Dunedin. Lan Yuan offers an authentic glimpse into classical Chinese architecture and culture, with its tranquil ponds, intricate stonework, and lush gardens. You can easily spend an hour or two here just soaking in the calm atmosphere. It’s clear a lot of thought and care went into its creation – a great place for photos, quiet reflection, or learning a bit about Chinese heritage in New Zealand. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the city!

A stunning traditional Chinese garden and it every turn a perfect photo opportunity. I ended up taking hundreds of photos of this beautiful garden and it was well worth the small entry fee. It is amazing how quiet and peaceful it is within the garden even though you ride in the city next to the train station. We felt transported to a different world and really enjoyed learning about the Chinese heritage of Otago. The most fascinating fact we learned was of the custom-designed roof tiles I think they were about 38,000 of them that were made in China with a unique pattern to these gardens and if each individual tile was laid side-by-side they would stretch from Dunedin to Christchurch. Worth noting that dogs are not allowed, we couldn’t find this information anywhere online before going so thought best to add into our review here as it may help someone else.

Great affordable option for Korean chicken, you get a decent meal for the price. Quite busy at around 6pm, only let down was waiting about 30+ min to be served - I think someone who ordered after us was served first so not sure what that was about. Definitely will return to try other items.

Food was so good. Friendly service. Food came out pretty fast. Clean and tidy shop. We recommended wonton in chili oil so goooood. We loved all the meals we ordered. Generous portion size too. We will definitely come back.

Yum yum yum! Great value for food, accomodating service and also quick to get the food out. Had sweet and spicy chicken katsu with curry, sweet and spicy popcorn chicken, wontons, dumplings, takoyaki. Love that you can combine japanese, chinese into the menu. Great for hungry tummies on a budget!

Great cocktail bar! The service was top notch. Enjoyed sitting at the bar and watching all of the amazing drinks being crafted. The bartender with curly hair was great and recommended some great cocktails. Welcoming bar and cosy vibes. Thanks 🙏

Really nice bar with wonderful options of cocktails. Loved the Emerald Osis especially Everything went perfect until I ordered a Ramos Gin Fizz when seeing on the menu that classic cocktails that are not listed are also available on request. The bartender seems unfamiliar with the drink but still said yes when I order. I regretted the order as soon as they started the shaking since they looked kinda confused and shocked about how long the shaking process was supposed to be. I’m pretty sure some of the steps were cut or shortened comparing with what I saw before at other bars in making this drink. Result is awful, non-drinkable at all.

We found this place in an ally that was a bit scary to get through but this bar was so posh and the drinks were really yummy and strong! I haven’t been tipsy off a drink in NZ since I moved here, but I got a nice buzz off my emerald drink!

Just a fantastic bar set out so well, made to feel very relaxing. The cocktails are amazing it is my favorite bar when I am in Dunedin. Great staff and the open fire place tops it off 10/10

Very rude staff. Popped in for a evening cocktail and an aggressive staff member was very abruptly cold and unwelcoming advising tables were reserved without any kindness. Walked straight through to the cocktail bar next door who were very welcoming. Avoid at all costs.

Good gallery, excellent high level local artists in display

Amazing food. If you have an appetite then this is the place for you. Big portions, if you have kids that love their burgers, I'd suggest you go for the smaller (single pattie) ones as they are more than enough for them. Need to save room for the waffles!!! And the steak....nearly the size of my head. Meat heaven. Can't wait to go back again.

Main meals were great, delicious, large portion sizes, quick service. We did dine in on a quiet night. Areas for improvement would be the service. For example we made a booking and the table didn't have any menus on it when we arrived so we had to get them ourselves. Overall would recommend it.

Great venue. Staff are friendly and good range of drinks available. Didn't eat here so can't comment on the food but it smelled great! Could do with a bit of acoustic treatment for gigs as it got a bit trebley bouncing off the brick walls!

Amazing burgers but terrible sides. Corn was so soggy and soaked in butter it was a heart attack waiting to happen. Mac and cheese balls tasted like the cheese was well past its best and were not edible. Stick to burgers and you'll be sweet.

Food, beverages and service were on point. Easily some of the best ribs I've ever eaten that weren't home made. Fried chicken, loaded fries... Man it was all good. Look forward to seeing a gig here.

Another great asset for the city.

Fantastic conference facility with large spaces available for stands, lectures and even some outdoor space. The main auditorium was incredible as a main function room having the spectacular city organ in the background (which was played beautifully for us) which doubled as the formal dinner hall. Seating for about 400 people comfortably? Very central to the city so within walking distance of most of the hotels and restaurants. About 30min drive to the airport.

Historical building with well appointed conference facilities. Surrounded by cafes and pubs, and a short walk to the waterfront. Not bad for an event, though Dunedin is a bit inconvenient to get to.

Gorgeous facility, perfect for the conference I attended. Going downstairs for the toilets would be a frustration for those with mobility problems. Really clean & lovely.

Such a wonderful venue for so many occasions, having attending several lunches and dinners here over the years i'm always impressed by the quality way in which it is run, the attention to detail and the effort the team go to make everything perfect.

National Powerlifting Comp was held here. The staff at the event centre were absolutely fantastic. And the banquet at the end of the week was superb.

A wonderful place to take children in the school holidays to see good clean entertainment, fabulous costumes, dancing and fun. Excellent entertainment for all ages!

Mousetrap was a great show, get along if you can. Theatre is showing her age, but staff were great, able take glass wine to your seat. Loved the mousetrap offering at the interval.

Very cool little retro theater. Went to a burlesque show here. Drinks were cheap, entertainment was good, bathroom facilities were good. Only thing was the rows of seats were so close together it made it impossible to go to the bathroom or get refreshments during the show without disrupting everyone in the row! But would not stop me going again!

Was so impressed with the school holiday show Pinocchio! A fantastic experience and great to see young ones pursuing the arts too.

The Hunting of the Snark - always loved the poem and took the grandsons and was mightily impressed with how Diane Dupres realised it as a musical -really great. The large young cast was also great - a really impressive effort !

What a wonderful evening! Such a cute setting. And absolute treasure of Dunedin performance theatre. Tight squeeze into the seats but makes for a very intimate and engaging experience.

Always great entertainment for young children. Very professionally presented. I've not missed one in 18 years. Grandkids love it.

Cool place, great range of stock. But staff need a lesson on hygiene. They (not just one) actually stunk and had bad breath. Nice enough people, but ya dont want to hang around and chat.

Very friendly environment. Dean has the patience of Job. My kids 11 and 13 learnt craftsman level painting in a few hours, image attached. The genius of western civilization is embodied in small clubs. This little niche on George street is a bastion of civility. It's a great way to learn how to do great things with your hands. And it's fun, at lots of different levels.

Probably one of my favourite shops in Dunedin, Come in and get a free first model if you're new to the hobby or the miniature of the month for free! Also its cheaper to buy citadel paint here than anywhere else, staff is always super helpful in trying to help you find whatever you need for your current project, or is just great for advice.

Jamie has an incredibly vast knowledge and experience when it comes to anything warhammer related, especially when it comes to painting. He provides a super friendly and welcoming environment for anyone new to the hobby or for experienced players to hang out for a bit of banter.

Super impressed with the enthusiasm and engagement with the general public. I took my 6 year old in for a quick nosey, then 2 hours later left with a new fascination for painting we didn't have before hand. A gem of a shop. Special thanks to Jamie who was patient as Heck yet persistant enough to get the message across. My boy didn't seemed to be listening too intently at the time, but then spent the rest of the day regurgitating pieces of Jamie's many tips.

This is the best range of affordable office furniture i have seen. Bought a really excellent desk from here for home office, quality of the product was excellent, but the price was as low as my previous cheap kit set. Friendly staff delivered it to my home preassembled and helped install it.

Great service

A right pillock. Agreed to install a log burner in North Mosgiel over a year ago (April 2023). A dead simple 'like for like' warranty replacement in a single story wood villa. Repeatedly failed to turn up - full of excuses. No real agitation from my end until we had our first anniversary (and second winter) a month or so back. Eventually just hung up on me when I called last month (April 2024). Now the subject of a formal complaint to the New Zealand Home Heating Association. Don't waste your time - Go to anybody else, or install it yourself.

Brought a new Monte fire. Good fire and Yunca were helpfull and accommodating, however SIS installers were appalling. Fire was not centred on the hearth or in the centre of the pattern wall behind the fire. The new flashing on my new $20,000 roof was also crooked. Gave me a small discount off price. Told me that he thought the install was exceptional. Not recommended.

Still waiting for a call back regarding a quote nearly 2 weeks later. A courtesy call would be appreciated.

I went there two times, and probably my last visit to them. The staff there doesn’t know how to deal with the customers. I went there with my husband first time and they ignore us and didn’t even ask if we need any help or something. The second time the girl did the same thing. Her body language is not really as it should be as a staff. I want to buy 2 pairs for us both but now I will never go back to them.

This company was amazing to deal with. The staff could not have been more helpful. The service for sending out our goods was so quick. I shall be shopping there the next time I am in Dunedin. Thank you.
