Tapas bar
Bar
European restaurant
Casa Puga is a historic tapas bar in Almeria, dating back to 1870. The ambiance is lively and inviting, with traditional decor including hanging jamones and shelves filled with bottles and cheeses. While the service can be casual, the atmosphere is buzzing. The bar offers free tapas with a glass of wine or beer, and also serves substantial half raciones of grilled kidneys, fried fish, octopus, and more.
Casa Puga Almeria, is one of the best spots in town! The food is amazing, simple as that. It's some of the most authentic tapas I've had in my life. The atmosphere is super traditional too, the kind of place that makes you feel like you're stepping back in time. The staff are friendly, they made me feel so welcome as soon as I walked in the door.

Great traditional tasca bar in Almería. If you’re not from here is a must, great tapas and drinks, very cheap and so beautiful to see too.
Sofia M — Google review
A recommended tapas bar to visit when in Almeria. Mostly locals and the food are fantastic! Drinks comes with something to nibble and you can order additional. In our case we got free garlic mushrooms. It opens at 8:30 pm and customersare already waiting outside before the doors are open. Better come early if you want a table, a bit of a scrumble to get it. The bar itself gets crowded with walk in customers throughout the evening

A visit to almeria has to include this tapas bar the oldest in almeria. Amazing fresh tapas cooked in front of you. Buzzing busy authentic love it
Christine L — Google review
Very popular with tourists and locals alike, so always expect a big crowd. There was even a queue 30 mins before the place opened. I went twice on different days, and both times they didn’t have pulpo and ternera… Why put them on the menu if you don’t serve them? 💔
T C — Google review
I don’t understand how this place can have 5 stars reviews. I just went there and I have never seen a place as dirty as this one. We had 4 plates on the table and all plates and cutleries had stains of food on them. The worst part was the fact that I had 3 glasses that I couldn’t drink from. Very dirty, very cloudy and full of stains. I understand if it was one but all 3 were disgusting. I took picture only to one of them. The food was same. Very plain and no effort at all. The gambas pil pil was made in sunflower oil instead of olive oil, no taste at all. Also when cooking, without gloves, they were scratching their heads and then touching the food again. Horrible! I was so excited to be in Almeria and I swear this was the worst food experience so far.
Ioana T — Google review
I accidentally passed by this beautiful restaurant today, and it was a wonderful and interesting experience. I saw that tourists who don't speak Spanish gave it a low rating in the comments, and I think they may not understand how to order food correctly. I don't understand Spanish either, but through Google and other guests' explanations, the food on the tapas page here is that every alcoholic drink comes with a free tapa, and if you order extra, it's 2 euros each. We ordered four alcohol drinks, 6 tapas, and a fried shrimp, which added up to about 26 euros.
J K — Google review
On a hot, sunny Friday, they couldn't open on time, didn't have the decency to care enough for the people waiting outside in the sun and be timely. I sat there for 40 minutes (which was already past their supposed opening time) and gave up in the end. The minimum they could have done would be to offer the 10-12 people waiting in the heat a drink or something until they could get the place ready. Abysmal customer service.

Tapas bar
Spanish restaurant
Taberna Nuestra Tierra is a cozy restaurant nestled in the historic district, offering a delightful exploration of essential southern Spanish recipes. From the ancient migas and gachas to the unique gurullos and zaramandona de la sierra de los Filabres salad, this place showcases the rich culinary heritage of Andalusia. The menu features traditional tapas crafted with top-notch ingredients like fresh seafood and locally sourced meats, providing an authentic taste of Almeria.
Delicious food, attentive staff. It is our favourite restaurant and we have eaten here every year since first visiting Almeria four years ago.

Pretty good tapas + beer. Traditional Spanish ways, beer and a tapas. However not normal prices. 4€ for a beer is not standard. Food was pretty tasty. I would recommend the cheese bags, small but very tasty. The blood sausage is also great.
Mark K — Google review
Wonderful place! Ended up here after reading the reviews & they were super accurate! Got a little corner table on the street, waiter was so busy but was doing a fantastic job. We asked him to help us select tapas and every bite was fantastic, really enjoyed the tomato salad with fish & the meat w peppers the most. Would come back if ever in the area. We got maybe 4-5 tapas and 6 glasses of tinto de verano for 35 euros.
Serena V — Google review
Since we are staying in the heart of the old town we walked to this Taberna based on recommendations from our host. The restaurant is fine. However, even though they provide a QR code to the menu and there is a translation available the translation does not work. The English translation still shows Spanish text. So you are left wondering what you are ordering. Overall is was fine but it’s difficult ordering dinner when you cannot understand the menu. UPDATE: we visited again on 31 AUGUST 2023 — the lady waitress, Baleria, is an asset to the restaurant. Her English is fine and she helped us a lot. We would have battled to understand the menu had it not been for her assistance. She was rewarded with a handsome tip accordingly. Make sure to cost this restaurant when in Almeria, if only for the atmosphere alongside the road and the helpful waitress, Baleria.

Been here twice now, it's a great stop for breakfast if you are planning to go to San Cristobal or the Alcazaba. Great busy atmosphere and popular with the locals. They speak Spanish and English. Prices are very reasonable and there's a great selection of toasts and coffee etc
James B — Google review
We order half portions and was just what we needed. We stayed outside, lovely spot. Staff was nice. The food was tasty and served quickly.
Sara C — Google review
We had a good experience in this bar, modern and cosy interior, tasty food. The drinks are overpriced, but with each you are getting a free snack from the menu. As a result, it is not neccessary to order more food, because you can easily get full with the “tapas”.
Diana P — Google review
Very friendly staff (the waiter spoke fluent English), wide choice of tapas and beautiful indoors and cozy looking kitchen. The balls with serrano ham and mushrooms were very delicious!! Go there, you won’t regret it.

Tapas bar
Spanish restaurant
El Quinto Toro, also known as the Fifth Bull, is a popular Spanish restaurant located in Almeria, Spain. This family-run establishment has been serving authentic tapas since 1947 and is currently owned by its third generation. The restaurant offers a cozy ambiance and features a terrace for outdoor dining. It's well-loved by locals and tourists alike for its traditional cuisine and free tapas with drinks at the bar.
Ignore the naysayers - this is a great, family-owned, super-traditional tapa bar. I’ve been coming here for 12 years, and from the first day when I couldn’t speak a word of Spanish, they have treated me with nothing but warmth and kindness. Now I live in Almeria, I come at least once or twice a week and it’s good as ever. I suppose it depends on your expectations. if you want to be fawned over by obsequious staff and eat postmodern Michelin star dishes, this isn’t for you. But if you want an authentic tapas experience with quality homemade dishes (unlike many places) - and are prepared to make an effort - you won’t find many better.
Chris L — Google review
This place used to be great.. now best avoid if you are foreign or female. The rudest staff I have ever encountered, they ignore women and foreigners and look behind them to serve men. The tapas we asked for was what most people were having but they brought a basic cheese and plonked it down.
Nicola G — Google review
Great tapas, traditional tavern atmosphere with great tiles! The staff were friendly and patient with our lack of Spanish. Good beer, wine and food.
Emma — Google review
Just nearby Alméria central market El Quinto Toro is a very nice place to have a beer (and more) and a couple of tapas. The albondigas (meatballs) taste amazing, just look like the ones from my Abuelita. We tried also the Rabo de toro, who’s basically a bull tail slow cooked in a very rich sauce, a bit more expensive dish but very nice and tasty, at the end the price is justified. The jamon de cebo is very good and nutty rich flavor. The staff was very helpful and we service very professional
Alexandre G — Google review
Great place to eat good tapas at a decent price, patatas a lo pobre is their best. They have a very good location in the middle of Almería, and a good terrace where to eat, if you want to have sun in the terrace I recommend to be there around 14h, at least when it's not summer since the sun goes sooner.
Dani S — Google review
Nice local but very popular bar nice traditional tapas, prices about average for Almeria centre.
John — Google review
It was OK. Good location. Would help if the seving staff smiled. Food was OK, very salty. Expensive for the quality and portion size. Drinks ridiculous 4.30 for a sin alcohol beer- without a tapa. 80 euro for 3. 6 drinks and 4 rations. No desert or coffee ( didn't have any ?). Wouldn't return.
Ieuan R — Google review
I went there 3 times as i never leave a review after one visit unless i am blown away as i have been in hospitality all my life. Everything i had was average. For non Spanish speaking patrons yes the service is hurried like every other busy tapas bar. They don't give you much attention so I would probably go in with a dictionary and do my homework before ordering so you know what you're getting rather than being ignored with questions

Tortilla shop
Restaurant
Tapas bar
Tortillería La Mala is a must-visit in Almeria, offering an authentic Spanish culinary experience. The place is known for its incredible tortillas, with options like truffle and chorizo that are highly recommended. In addition to the delicious tortillas, they also serve small tapas with each drink, and you can opt for higher quality tapas at a slightly higher price.
We had the “mala” house tortilla; it was very good. The young man who waited on us of Peruvian descent was very nice. They must have just opened for the evening and/but the service and food and price were excellent. Not a gourmet meal, limited menu, but well worth it; next time we’ll have to try the ceviche. Highly recommend for the tortillas! Close to the Cathedral.
Stan M — Google review
La Mala is a gem! We were looked after by Dennis, a vibrant and knowledgeable host whose recommendations elevated the whole experience. The food was divine—artfully presented and bursting with complex, satisfying flavors. The wine selection was equally impressive and surprisingly well-priced. Set in a wonderful location, this place delivers *exceptional service, unforgettable dishes,* and a warm, welcoming vibe. A must-visit.
John B — Google review
Tapas bar. Just simply delicious. Must try when you are visiting Almería
Kim P — Google review
Amazing place! Very good service. The food is very nice. A mix between traditional and modern tapas with some Mexican influences. The « tortillas » are the speciality of the house. Caramelized onions garlic and a bit gooey in the middle as a real tortilla need to be. The tapas are stunning and this little touch of modernity make a difference. We liked the display, the VHS menu and the retro soundtracks. The bill is correct for this nice food experience
Alexandre G — Google review
We tried the truffled omelet and it was delicious and I must admit the other tapas were equally good. The boletus with parmesan, chili con carne taco and the toast of secreto con brie where very tasty. I would recommend going to this place that actually had an incredibly friendly staff. The omelet is a bit runny on the inside so take that into account if you are not a fan of slightly undercook omelets. IMO that’s the best way to cook a good _Tortilla de patata_ so I was pleasantly satisfied ☺️
Henar L — Google review
We tried the truffle and the courgette+onions+mascarpone tortillas. They were both tasty, especially the truffle one. We also ordered a couple of free tapas (you can get one free tapa per drink ordered) and they were really good and freshly made, not like other tapas places where tapas are cooked hours before. Fair prices and fast service.
Giuditta T — Google review
Disappointing Experience at La Mala The food at La Mala was okay and served fairly quickly. Unfortunately, the overall experience was ruined by the poor service. Getting the bill turned into a frustrating ordeal. After asking several times, we were first given the bill from another table. When we finally received our own bill, it was still incorrect, and we were given the wrong amount of change. At this point we did not care anymore and all we wanted to do was getting out of there. The restaurant was clearly understaffed, which may explain some of the chaos, but it doesn’t excuse the rude attitude of the waiter. He was so agitated and overwhelmed that we almost felt sorry for him. All in all, a very unpleasant experience. We will definitely not be returning.
Manny M — Google review
We stopped by for lunch, and had the prawn and chilli tortilla, and the ham and cheese one. It was nice to have a more “substantial” lunch instead of the usual tapas, they tasted great.

Brasserie

La Consentida is a popular brasserie in Almeria capital, known for its regional meat and seafood dishes as well as quirky tapas. The place tends to get busy, especially on weekends, so it's advisable to arrive early or visit on a less crowded day. Despite the wait, the warm welcome and delicious food make it worth the effort. Reservations are only accepted for dinner orders; those looking for tapas should arrive after 8 pm but be prepared for a potential line.
I spent a month living in Almeria and this place was absolutely the best place for tapas. Lots of variety, great service and a really nice vibe. All the dishes are named after famous women and I love how all the background music is by famous lady singers. The food was the best too, so many flavours. I had 5 dishes and a glass of wine which came to only 14 euros, very happy! This restaurant deserves the high ratings and recognition it gets
Andrew H — Google review
A Must-Visit Gem in Almería! I had the pleasure of dining at La Consentida last night and was thoroughly impressed. The food was nothing short of delicious—each tapa was beautifully presented and full of flavour. Special mention goes to the pork skewer, perfectly grilled and deeply satisfying, and the roasted baked potatoes, which were seasoned to perfection. The atmosphere was just as delightful as the cuisine. The restaurant itself is stunning, and the terrace is thoughtfully designed, making it an ideal spot for a relaxed evening. Service was excellent—efficient, friendly, and always attentive without being overbearing. And the desserts? Do not, under any circumstances, skip them. The tiramisu wasn’t just dessert—it was a criminally good experience. Honestly, it should come with a warning label.

Food was absolutely INCREDIBLE. Extremely delicious. Staff were absolutely lovely and extremely professional. Steak was superb. Only small fuss was the timing between dishes was quite off - we were saving our veggies and other meal so we could eat them alongside the steak but they would have been freezing so had to eat them. Cannot really complain though as good food is worth the wait. Thank you for a lovely evening.
Darragh K — Google review
after extensive research into the local food scene, we decided that this would be the perfect place to enjoy some traditional tapas before leaving the area. we were drawn in by their extensive tapas menu and booked a table on their terrace. we arrived, and our booking firstly wasn’t checked, so we ended up sitting inside - not a huge problem as the atmosphere inside was very lovely, however it would have been nice for them to have stayed true to our requests. upon being seated, we ordered some water and were given a menu. the menu did not include the tapas menu, but there was a QR code on the table, which was labelled as the tapas menu, so we looked through that and made our choices. before we could order food, or even our main drinks, we were given a bread roll each, which we didn’t ask for, but ate nonetheless as several places in the area offer items like this on the house, so we thought nothing of it. when it came time to order our food, we asked for tapas, and were told that they weren’t actually serving tapas tonight. we were told this in a very abrupt manner - possibly due to our minimal spanish - but we were told as if we should have known, despite not being told this as we were seated, or there being any notice of this on the website; we weren’t even told when the tapas menu was served, eg. if it was only a weekend occurrence. feeling disappointed, we looked through the main menu but all of the meals were very expensive, and after wanting tapas, not what we wanted at all. we then had a very awkward interaction having to ask for the bill, and the server did not at all appear to be apologetic about not informing us sooner, further making it feel like it was our fault. when the bill came, the bread rolls were included, which was a surprise as, again, we didn’t ask for them. feeling already too awkward to argue, we paid in cash, giving €14 for a €13.20 bill, and weren’t offered our change, not that we necessarily cared about 80¢, but it was the principle that mattered. we left, and found a lovely tapas place around the corner, that did not make us feel guilty for not being perfectly fluent in spanish, and offered an extensive and non-confusing tapas menu. we recommend that the times in which the tapas is served are made clearer on the website, and also conveyed to customers upon arrival, especially as the menu is so clear on the website.

Amazing! My girlfriend and I went a few minutes before 23:00 in a Saturday, had to wait 3 minutes for a table. We had a bunch of different delicious Tapas that they show and explain to you, as well as beer and wine. The waitress dealing with us was limited in her English, but nonetheless super friendly and eager to help. The prices were great, and as we paid we even got free shots of 'lemon sorbet with sparkling wine'. We will be coming again! Keep up the great work! 11/10 for taste and Etablissement

We managed to get a walk in table when they opened at 8.30pm. Would recommend to book as many people were turned away all night. Buzzing atmosphere. The tapas was the best I've ever eaten. (Translated by Google) Last Saturday, November 16, my friends and I headed to the Premium Black pub. Around 2 in the morning, after paying 10 euros per person, I approached the bar on the right. There, the waitress, when asking for a slice of lemon for the glass, in a fit of fury, yelled at me in a violent and haughty manner, that there were no lemons and continued to repeat it several times in the same furious tone. Her behavior was so excessive that she seemed possessed, and her aggressive voice resonated despite the noise of the music. Everyone present noticed his anger. I pointed out that his response was inappropriate; a simple "sorry, we're out of lemons" would have been more than enough. All my friends were stunned by the waitress's violent and aggressive attitude. Who rudely repeated "haven't you heard what I told you?" There are no lemons. After unleashing his anger on me, he walked away to another part of the bar, leaving a tense and disconcerting atmosphere in the pub. Surprise and amazement were reflected on their faces, while the music continued to play, oblivious to the scene that had unfolded. However, there were lemons, as evidenced by the photograph I took of the other bar in the pub. I can't recommend this place to anyone. When we go to a pub, we do it in good spirits, especially on this occasion, when we were celebrating a reunion after many years. In any case, a festive atmosphere is expected to prevail in a pub, and it is not fair for a worker to vent his personal problems and bad temper on the customers. To everyone reading this, I advise you to choose another place for a night out. No waiter dared to apologize for his colleague's attitude, and his behavior completely ruined our evening. We did not dare to order another drink and decided to leave, with the firm resolution never to return.

If you're looking for an unforgettable night out in Almeria, Kutre Pub is a must-visit spot that perfectly captures the city's vibrant nightlife. Nestled in the lively 'Las cuatro calles' district, this pub offers a youthful and energetic atmosphere where you can enjoy affordable drinks and great music. Beyond just sipping on their famous calimotxos—a delightful mix of red wine and soda—you can also engage in some friendly competition with foosball or darts.

Bodega Las Botas is a Spanish-themed bar where you can taste some of the flavors that are common in that country. It's a nice place to relax and have some drinks, and the tapas are especially good.
A very friendly restaurant with an inviting welcome. The staff are the highlight as they entice you in and treat you well. It is a hidden gem and the locals definitely know where to come. It provides excellent wines and tapas dishes, with a good selection of seafood dishes and salads. It has small cosy outdoor seating in a narrow street. The family appeal and intimate nature of the restaurant are worth the journey to find it.

Nice place with good food. Tapas are offered after each round of drinks and they are really good!

Cozy, small place found on a side street. Have seating outside. Prices are great. With a drink one has a vast selection of tapas which come with the order. So with 3 drinks - tapas one can have a great meal. No music. Waiters nice but a bit slow to attend. Decor is typical Spanish.
A G — Google review
In a city where friendly hospitality is commonplace, this is a place that excelled my expectations. In addition, it is local, but welcomes outsiders. Cool in the heat of summer. The prices are very good and the quality very high. Highly recommend it.
Mariano R — Google review
It's actually a nice little bar with decent food. We went there for a light lunch which was really good and back at night for some tapas and some drinks. We had salmon sashimi which was priced at EU 4.50 in the menue. Although I had two glasses of white wine we were charged EU 6.00 each. Maybe a lot got lost in translation but you should be charged the price posted. I feel ripped off. Other than that a nice place with friendly service.
Harald H — Google review
You can do better... This an attractive looking bar, but you can eat better and cheaper. It's been offering declining value and service over the years I've been visiting Almería and I won't go back. Our last visit had them not offering the tapas automatically with the drink and then stating that they don't offer half racions in the evening. The full racion that then arrived was distinctly half racion in size. My Almerian wife told me that nearly all the clients were now foreign, which is not a good sign. Avoid and try El Quincho for top value simple tapas or De Tal Palo for something much more interesting.

Nestled in the heart of Almeria's charming old town, Tetería Almedina Baraka is a delightful Moorish-style tea house that transports you to another world. As you stroll through the sun-drenched streets adorned with vibrant houses, this hidden gem beckons with its colorful decor and inviting atmosphere.
This is my favorite restaurant in Almeria. If you’re a foreigner prepare yourself for slow service because the serving culture is different in Spain. The servers here are sooo nice and’s helpful all you have to do is ask. As for the food: OUTSTANDING. The falafel is the best I’ve ever had in my entire life. Not to mention the atmosphere is beautiful too. I go here every chance I get.
Ryn W — Google review
I had the almond soup, falafel, and hummus. Soup is creamy, garlicky, and nutty. Hummus is smooth with lovely spices. The falafel has a crispy sesame seed coating. All were very good. Try the rooibos tea.

Came to Almeria for our summer holiday and decided to try some Moroccan food for the first time!! The service was great, the staff were very friendly and the food was absolutely delicious!! The location is beautiful, right next to the alcazaba! Extra points for the cute cat as well haha 5/5 recommend!!
Aisha — Google review
While the view is certainly outstanding, the atmosphere in the first floor was definitely not the best, seeing as it's right next to the kitchen and you can hear the clicking and clacking and yelling and all of that. I ordered the homemade fries, which I was assured would be filling and that it'd be a large dish (it wasn't), that cost an absurd 8€ that I regret spending, and the fries took more than 40 minutes to arrive to the table. You'd think that the fries taking more than 40 minutes to cook would be golden brown and perfectly fried, well, you thought wrong, because they arrived looking very pale and a bit undercooked, with the ketchup being a splotch on the side, not even offered for me to use it however I'd like to. The ladies seemed nice and the desserts looked good, but I wouldn't recommend sitting in the first floor nor ordering the +40 minute fries that should cost 4-5€ and little more.

The food was super delicious! We had the Musaka (omg!) and the falafel (best I’ve ever had). It’s not that cheap (compared to the super cheap tapas bars) but worth it. We spend 40€ for 2. When you sit upstairs with this beautiful view, a little longer waiting time for the waitress is not too bad. Nevertheless 5 stars and an absolute recommendation!
Leonie R — Google review
Great simply cooked food without heavy spices or sauces. Loved the lemonade ( green, a bit tart, not too sweet and made with mint ). The passion baraka drink tasted like a thick tomato/ beet smoothie, not to our liking. The bread was amazing and so was the tagine and taboulé couscous! Would go again!

Tapas bar
Bar Bahía de Palma, located on Calle Mariana 17, is a local favorite in Almeria. The bar is adorned with bullfighting memorabilia and offers a limited selection of homecooked tapas. It serves copious Spanish breakfasts and weekday set lunches from 9am to 5pm. The atmosphere is bustling and friendly, making it a great place to enjoy traditional tapas and drinks with friends.
We, a group of four geriatric Brits, wanderered in for tapas and drinks at lunchtime one day in November 2024. The waitress was very helpful in explaining (in simple Spanish) what tapas were available. Four drinks and seven tapas cost a very reasonable 21 euro. It appears that the price of a drink includes a tapas, too. All the other customers were Spanish, so good local atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Just stopped for a drink whilst walking around Almeria. They didn't understand English tea. What came was a cup of hot milk and a strange teabag. Very cheap though, under €4 for the 2 of us. Staff friendly. Very windy the day we went, seemed to whistle through the square. They had to take down the umbrellas.
N P — Google review
It’s a great authentic Spanish tapas bar but unfortunately you seem to be only offered tapas if you are Spanish. I bought several drinks here and wasn’t offered a tapas, despite everyone around me being given tapas with their drinks. So, alas it seems, they have one rule for the locals and another for foreigners (guiris they call foreigners). So, if you can overlook being discriminated against on the basis of being a foreigner, then it’s a great place to soak up typical Andalusian fayre and service. Perdón por mi honesta valoración.

Maybe the best restaurant that we have visited in Spain so far. Tapas are delicious, make sure to try the cucumber rolls. For the main course we had the grilled octopus, that comes with the side of crushed potatoes with spices. 10/10! It’s more than enough for two people, when you include the tapas. I will give them the 2 stars for the sardines and for making the effort to make my baby mashed potato. We got some king prawns which were not even cleaned of the blood from the side and tasted raw.. The tapas plates are creative and playful and the food itself is full of colour, texture and flavour. Each plate was a real delight and yet still excellent value for money. Special mention to our waiter Facundo who helped us navigate the menu as our Spanish isn’t very strong. 10/10

Stunning lunch! Managed to get an early table here today despite them being fully booked (must reserve a table next time). We went to their old restaurant 10 years ago and the food remains as good as we remember it. We ate from their classic pintxos menu: steak tartare, sea bass sashimi, foie, mak foie and red mullet in tempura all highly recommended and Michelin star worthy. We finished off with a basque style cheesecake. Food is on a par with pintxos bars in San Sebastian. Yes it's that good! Service was efficient but not super friendly. 9/10 a must visit in Almería if you love great food as we do.

I don’t recommend this place to foreigners. The food was very good but zero transparency about its price. I ordered a ration gallopedro (24€) and they said that that they didn’t have but instead they had something similar ‘gallineta’ without mentionning the price. I expected a similar price and they served me a 60€ fish and its head at 30€, so a total of 90€ instead of 24€. The food was good but I didn’t intend to eat luxury fish that evening. It wasn’t a misunderstanding as my Spanish husband took the order. So the language is not the excuse, they just saw foreigners and took the opportunity to make us spend 150€ for 4 people when you can in much cheaper places in this city (and for a very good quality)

I was charged €37 for ×1 mero grouper fish. Seems very extortionate. Plus waiters don't speak english so it's like blind leading the blind.

Unforgetable expierience. We planned to have a dinner here but quickly changed our mind after serving a drinks. Terrible service of elder waiter. When you feel completely unwanted there is no point to stay longer at the place.
Arnoldas L — Google review
The prices are high, the food is like everywhere else. They don't pour much wine, no more than 100-120g. Be careful when paying. I paid by card and was charged €346 instead of €46. It is good that I paid. Refunded everything ok.

Very good little bar that serves good range of tapas that come free with beer or wine. If it appears all tables are full just make your self known to waiter he will put some more out. Waiter very helpful, little advice always say Ola and smile you get better service.
John — Google review
BEWARE - they’ll rip you off. Don’t go here, and if for some reason you find yourself here, *don’t trust them* and check the prices. Stopped here for dinner. We (2 pax) asked for the waiter’s recommendation - he produced a fish (mullet?) from the fridge and cooked it half fried half grilled. It was pretty decent although it was served with large chunks of (undercooked) fish head, which was a bit odd. Perhaps to pad out the weight? Then the bill comes - €100 for that single fish alone. For two! In Almería! I wasn’t born yesterday. Of course he insists that’s how much it costs and points to a line somewhere in the middle of the menu and claims the fish weighed 2 kg, etc. A lot of arguing ensues and he ends up taking €20 off the bill, after the Spanish table next to us intervened to help us. I’m sure he’ll comment below insisting I’m lying, I robbed them, that was how much the fish was worth, etc etc, because he’s a cantankerous and rather aggressive fellow. But it was plain as day to us and the others in the restaurant what was going on.

Lovely little bar with friendly staff and very accommodating to a language barrier! They changed one of their mains to suit our vegetarian diet and the food was absolutely excellent!

It feels churlish to criticise the quality of tapas when they are free with drinks that are excellently priced as they are... and especially when the location is itself a wonderful little spot... however amongst the fantastic places that in the area the food here does fall slightly short of the mark

Nice place on a quiet alley but confusing menu and/or waiter. I speak Spanish and also I pointed to the menu that I wanted the chicken tikka masala listed at 6.50 Euros and a beer. He brought me my beer and a very small serving of the dish. I was not impressed by the quantity. When I left my bill was 2.90 Euros and I realized that he had brought me a tapa-size dish not a full serving (which is what I wanted). There was nothing on the menu that said the dish was available in tapa-size and I wish I had gotten the full dish. It was very good. So be careful in pointing out that you want the full racion.

(Translated by Google) We wanted to have tapas in this bar, a neighborhood bar in Almería next to a park, as we were with a child we decided to stop there for this reason. But when we ordered the beers with the tapas, they confirmed that they were tapas where there was an abundance of bread but little else, as you can see in the photos, the surprise was when for 4 beers and two extra tapas, they charged us a whopping €20. For my taste and how good and cheap we usually have tapas in Almería, we feel a little scammed. When we walked in we were already not welcomed by the two waiters or that barman. After we got seated the waiter was ignoring us, we had to wave him over to be able to order. Some Spanish friends took me there to experience some authentic Spanish food. Food is very good, equal to or better than the other two chiringuitos close by. Service is excellent, much better than Tio Pepe, and the chinguito next door. The atmosphere is MUCH more relaxed than in Tio Pepe and the other place. They are polite and considerate as well as fast. I do not understand why more poeple dont eat here. The other two chinguitos have something to learn from this one. So in order of preference, this is 1st, 2nd, terrace del mar, 3rd Tio Pepe (yes the fish is good but the service is scrappy, too many poeple, hectic, but well.priced). This is a good place!

From the get go the staff and the manager were very nice, very accommodating and peaceful atmosphere, food was very fresh and well cooked an honestly equals the fancy restaurants in the city centre! Just for their generosity this place is truly a must try, whilst maybe English language is not their best suit! But they try, it’s a local business and obviously not owned by a millionaire but by a normal person just like us, literally both shifts were very nice and friendly. I highly recommend them!

Beware of this place. Make sure you ask for the menu so you can check the prices, if you don't want to end up paying 45 Euros for a small fish. Before ordering I asked how much will the fish cost, the server told me 21-23 euros. When time came to pay, all of a sudden nobody speaks english. There are a lot of good and honest places close by, be careful, IT IS A TURIST TRAP!!!

I took two dutch friends to this place, they are very blond and obviously foreigners. I asked for the menu twice and they said they didnt have any, only the tablet with the choices and they use it to order. We got fried fish for 3. Turns out when we got the receipt they were asking for a hundred euros for the fried fish which for almeria is an incredibly absurd price. I later searched for the menu on the internet and they had seriously overpriced our meal seeing as they had foreigners they could trick on the table. I do not recommend you going to this place, its a tourist trap and a scam. I won´t be returning.
Carmen G — Google review
Skip and go to the nearby Terasa del Mar! Horrible experience in almost every way, from the tapas of migas to the young waiter that mistook our 2 medio (smaller) orders for enteras (full meals) and then said he couldn't change it back because "the food is already done", while we proceeded to wait for the food for the next 20 minutes. The calamari arrived first, and it was by far the worst calamari I ever had, orange and soggy, with the dominant taste being that of stale oil. The only bright spot was both the young female waitresses who fixed the situation, somehow managing to change both orders to medio after all and being generally very friendly and helpful considering the amount of work they had. Oh, and the 2nd dish (pork) was actually pretty good, but probably even better when it was warm, however we didn't get to experience it that way...

Bluess Potter is a cozy spot where you can enjoy live rock music and mingle with the locals. The place has a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for savoring delicious tapas alongside cold beers. It's a great place to have coffee or drinks, with a cool wooden interior and even a projector for football matches. The pub offers an extensive selection of beers at good prices and exceptional service from the friendly staff.
Listen to blues song with a good Spanish beer/wine, a lovely place to spend the night before bedtime, friendly staff and a great atmosphere. If you ever in Almería and you like Blues you should visit this place and taste a little bit of New Orleans blues in Southern Spain.

(Translated by Google) Good place to have a coffee or drink something. The place is cozy and from my point of view it is super cool, all made of wood. It has a projector where they televise football. The coffee is very good, the service is good and the bathrooms are clean. The bad thing is that if you don't know where it is you won't find it, it's a bit hidden.

(Translated by Google) Very good experiences, pleasant data, very comfortable, pleasant, good price, good customer service....and very well attended by Lorena, very nice and very kind when it comes to assisting you, as well as her colleague, ayuw, forgive me, I don't remember your name very well, both of them. Very kind and friendly girls until they left since they only had 6 hours of work. Is the owner good? If I don't have a cigarette on the phone, is he already calling your attention? And he asks you if you are smoking a joint? every now and then it doesn't stop bothering you if it's previous for reasons that we all know, although thank God Lorena is still there with her everything is very good but I don't know sometimes the waiter knows when you pay him by ordering a drink that you always order and you know What is it worth if you order a drink that you have always ordered from the girl and she has charged you €5 and they put €5 and she stares at you as if saying it's nothing? Let's see, you want something more if you've barely kicked me out and with a landlady who doesn't even have energy, how much do you want to charge? But I have never had any problems nor will I of course...

(Translated by Google) A very special place; where you can enjoy the best electronic music by far in all of Almería, a beer and your respective basket of popcorn. All this in a vintage style environment, which in my opinion, gives it the very particular character it has. However, there are things that I do not like, such as: the size of the premises is very small, access to said premises does not allow the entry and exit of two people at the same time and the toilets are disgusting. Something that seemed especially bad to me was that on one occasion, I ordered a beer (which by the way they no longer sell and I'm talking about the Franciscana, but, the toast) and the waiter told me that they were out of stock. It turns out that after 15 minutes I see him drinking one. When I complain to him he tells me that it was the last one left, that is, he denied it to a client because he reserved it for him.

(Translated by Google) Look, Almería is poor in terms of electronic music and what it entails, but since the place has been sold to a man who doesn't let certain people in because "he doesn't want the people who came before to come in (referring to the fact that shitty people came in)" Almeria has already become the saddest province in Andalusia in terms of electronic music. Look, there are already shitty reggaeton venues all over the city, including Aguadulce, and you take away the only thing that could be saved (referring to the idiot who bought the place), I feel like taking it and burning it.
