What a wonderful restaurant. We vent for lunch and were lucky to be seated. Very nice and cosy atmosphere. The food was excellent and the waiter nice and professional. It’s advisable to to book a table for dinner in the evening. Nice prices also .

Such a wonderful place.. the waiters are all really friendly and helpful with a smile at all times .. the food is the best quality ingredients with style and flair .. delicious .. we had lemon sorbet burrata salad amazing flavour with the freshest ingredients.. octopus with coconut and a lovely sauce the best anywhere ..

Zero star if possible. Just tried to go in and book a table for this weekend and the 'gentleman' was absolutely rude. Appeared to be very stressed cutting up a wedge of paté. Waited politely but he was completely offhand and disinterested. Shame, as we have a house in the town and have always recommended this restaurant to our friends. Never again.

When i asked for gluten-free, they told me to reserve in advance so that they could prepare for it properly. They take food very seriously! Service is wonderful and the lady of the restaurant is welcoming and funny as well as excellently observant to the needs of her guests. The red wine of the house was one of the best we've had, and it was a special treat brewed for only 3000 bottles so it felt a little special as well. I felt like i ate for twice the money we paid. It's relatively expensive to the area, but relatively to the value it's more than fitting. They don't hand you a menu, they design the meal for you and then you just sit back and let yourself be amazed by the creativity of each dish. It was a truly pleasant experience and i wish i had come with an emptier stomach than i did; the meals looked small on some review pictures so i imagined it to be one of those places where you can eat a small meal after you're done. It's not, so please build up an appetite before coming!

Outstanding Meal and Service! Audrey was able to give us her last lunch reservation. We were in awe of the food, wine and service. Everything was amazing. We'd go back every day ... but only in town for 2 more days and they are closed Sunday night through Tuesday lunch. This place definitely deserves their Michelin Bib Gourmand rating! What is especially incredible to me is the entire meal for 2 people at €100, including a bottle of wine. We live near equivalent quality restaurants in California and would pay $350+. This is one reason we love coming to Spain!

Had a lovely birthday meal here and by the end of the meal, we had booked to return a few days later, it was that good. We had a delicious tasting menu with paired wines, all of which were superb. The lady owner was super friendly and gave wonderful service to us for the whole evening. Definitely recommend 👌

TL;DR - if you love fine food, find a way to get to El Chaleco when you’re in the South of Spain! People of Grenada, residents and visitors, what a treasure you have at El Chaleco! A Michelin starred restaurant (somewhat) hidden in the streets of Almunecar! We had the 5-course tasting menu tonight and it was superb! The highlight for me was the asparagus with a foamed topping and a brown sauce under it that I wanted to go swimming in - so delicious. Second place went to the dessert which was a chocolate mousse cake with a crumble on it topped with the best whipped cream I have ever tasted. The chicken dish was also fantastic, perfectly cooked and served with tender roasted peppers and risotto. We had decaf espresso with our dessert and a wonderful local sauvignon with dinner - both so good. Bonus: Audrey herself waited on us and could not have been more charming and friendly.

A menu that charges 50 euro for 5 dishes cannot consist of such humble ingredients, i was expecting a lot more. The chef's entrants were plain and tasteless: a so called "seaweed salad" with a spoonful of plain white cold boiled rice and a few strains of seaweed on top, some orzo pasta with a bit of curry flavor, and a tiny couliflower drink (quite tasty). The second dish, a sole fish terrine was just some very cold boiled potato, no trace of fish, with a tiny layer of tomato sauce and some green leaves on top. Zero flavour. Then we got some nice fish/mussel soup with raw mushroom, tasty. The main course was a very humble chicken pot au feu with lots of cream and some vegetables and potatoes, taste was nice, but it was far from spectacular. The dessert was some berry sorbet and chocolate icecream that tasted of powders. I am sure they can do a lot better than that, but for that price, I expect and deserve something way more sophisticated, all the ingredients for that meal would cost less than 4 or 5 euro in any supermarket. I was far from impressed, that menu would have been ok for 20 euro, maybe. Not a place to come back!

This is a fabulous French restaurant with excellent service in Almunecar. The owner is lovely, the food, wine and experience excellent.

This is a fabulous restaurant. The best location imaginable looking across the bay to Salobrena. The food is amazing with even basic things like lemon sorbet tasting out of this world. The duck breast also had wonderful flavours. Lovely staff. We have eaten at many restaurants in Almunecar and this is easily the best. Overall simply perfect and with prices well below what the food deserves. A must go to restaurant.

Don’t eat here if you value your health, duck breast was completely raw, mussels were rancid and fish came from the freezer. They can’t even prepare fries right. Absolutely disgusting avoid at any cost.

A magnificent pargo (red snapper) and Entrecot de Ávila as recommended by our waiter, followed by postres the size of a house! Well worth a visit.

The paella 🥘 here is amazing. Had it eat in and take away. Both times simply amazing. Portion size were bigger then you would expect. Couldn't finish it in one go so plenty to eat again later. Made two meals out of it. The ratio of fish to rice is perfect. Cooked perfectly 👌. I wouldn't go any where else for this dish. I could comment on the rest of the menu. But with paellas this good why eat anything else.

5 star service, 5 star food. Had lunch here on Sunday, luckily got the last table (didn’t realise we needed to book!) great atmosphere super efficient friendly staff and stellar food. Had the garlic prawns and the lamb shoulder. The lamb was one of the best dishes we’ve had in southern Spain. The house red was also of very high quality. Sadly we won’t be back in this region for some time however when we return will be dining here in a heart beat

Spectacular. 🥂😋😘 You rarely get service like this anymore. Our fish (sole) was brought out and filleted in front of us, seaweed side dish is amazing. Prawns and puntillas were delicious as was the wine, puddings were accompanied with a full bodied local desert wine. A true delight from entrantes to puddings 🦐🦑🐟🥂❤️

Between all the options found in this city, this restaurant had the best seating that could convey good food. The food was fair, big portions. But the taste wasn’t really memorable. Service was good.

We had a bad experience with the restaurant charging us nearly double for the dorada we ordered from the menu, priced at €19 for 450 grams, but unknowingly were given a larger dorada which they charged €31 for. We had a long, uncomfortable discussion before the restaurant acknowledged they were in the wrong and adjusted the bill. Not going back.

Tucked away in a quiet square as you descend from the castle to the beach area, you have the choice of sitting outside under the umbrellas or eating inside where animal heads and antiques line the walls and walkways. The inside is truly worth going into for photos. We chose from the prix fixe menu and were very happy with everything we ordered. The servers were attentive and business-like, and we would highly recommend Meson Francisco II if you are in Almunecar (and don’t miss a visit to the Castle overlooking the town!).

Top marks, what a beautiful authentic Spanish restaurant in a narrow alley in Almunecar. Our party of 5 had menu del dia on Monday, 28th September and we all had a fabulous time over lunch. The food is great and really good value and the staff were lovely. The setting is truly awesome, the walls decorated with allsorts to entertain. Photos, plates, paintings, posters, old money, etc fascinating! Rows of Iberico hams and big barrels - lush! Highly recommend if you want a place with character and not a clean lines modern restaurant.

Four of us went here this evening for an anniversary meal. Great atmosphere, great food and attentive but discreet service. Would definitely recommend.

We spotted this place this afternoon and browsed the menu. Seemed a little expensive but looked appealing. Quaint setting candles on tables. We decided to return for dinner. Certainly for us, an excellent choice. We shared a Melon and Serrano Ham starter. My wife had Beef Stiffado and myself Fillet Steak Rossini. We're not big eaters so weren't expecting to have a dessert. But on seeing the list had to share a Crepes Suzette. Well worth every penny. Wine included and a bottle of water. €65.00. We will surely return

Restaurante FIRMVM clearly sets out with high ambitions, promising a "unique gastronomic experience", and in some ways, it delivers. The service team was genuinely friendly and helpful throughout our visit, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. The dishes themselves are undeniably creative and consistently "nicely displayed on the plates," showcasing a clear artistic flair. It's evident that "the chef knows what he is doing technique wise" – the individual components and their execution are often good. However, for a restaurant aiming for such an elevated "evolution menu," there were several points that kept the experience from reaching its full potential. While friendly, the service, at times, didn't quite match the ambitious level of the cuisine. A small detail like a chipped wineglass, unfortunately, isn't the thing one expects from a fine dining establishment, suggesting a need for sharper attention to detail. The primary challenge with the "evolution menu" was its sheer scale and pacing. For a menu this large, the portions for each course were simply too generous. We found ourselves "already full" well before reaching the two main courses, which significantly hampered our ability to fully appreciate the latter half of the meal. This impacts the overall enjoyment and the intended "evolution" of the dining experience. Furthermore, the menu's "build up" could benefit from more thoughtful curation. We noticed a succession of similar preparations: two courses featuring iced ingredients, followed by two with a tartar, and then three courses that contained (deep) fried ingredients. While each dish might be individually well-executed, this repetition in texture and temperature created a sense of monotony rather than a dynamic progression. The wine pairing, despite the restaurant's "extensive list of wines available", also needs to be taken to a higher level. We felt there was a lack of "synchrony and timing with the courses," which is crucial for a truly integrated gastronomic experience. With such a comprehensive list, the potential for exceptional pairings is clearly there, but it wasn't fully realized during our visit. Ultimately, while the chef's technical prowess is undeniable, the "evolution menu" we experienced felt a little too complacent in its overall design and flow. FIRMVM has the ingredients for greatness – incredible talent in the kitchen and a fantastic wine selection – but refining the menu's progression and the wine pairing's integration would truly elevate it to the "unique sensory experience" it aspires to be. On a friend’s suggestion, I visited Restaurante Firmvm last night and was grateful I’d reserved a table online—the outdoor terrace filled up within minutes. Tucked into a quaint square away from the seafront, the restaurant offers attentive service and outstanding cuisine. The Pork Tomahawk was a standout—perfectly cooked and easily the best pork I’ve enjoyed in years.

We recently had the Silver Tasting menu here and specifically chose this rather than the gold menu, as we thought it would be a more sensible amount of food to eat! Wrong!! The only reason i haven't scored them 5 stars is for this point. There is just far too much rich food for a tasting menu. That much so, we felt quite uncomfortable afterwards. That said, the food is delicious and beautifully presented. The service was excellent and paired wines also fantastic. The prices were very reasonable. The restaurant itself is very modern and wonderfully comfortable. Please, please just make the dishes more in keeping with a tasting menu, as I'd seen other reviews reflecting our experience.

Fantastic Experience! We were two adults and three teenagers, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. We are used to come and eat in Almuñécar so we can confirm this is THE BEST restaurant in town nowadays after a few visits. The menu is simply excellent, with multiple options that will invite you to return again and again. The ingredients are carefully selected and combined, including both local and international ones, offering flavors you can’t easily find anywhere. The atmosphere is very relaxed but lively at the same time, located on a square with an interesting mix of local and foreign customers. The decoration is superb, with a modern and attractive style. The service is extraordinary, efficient, kind and honest. Although more expensive than the average price in Almuñécar, the price quality is unbeatable, far beyond any other restaurant you may find in the surroundings. A similar restaurant in a big Spanish city would cost twice at least. But if you are in a lower budget, there is also a tapas menu to taste some delicious plates, so there is no excuse to pay a visit. To sum up, you can have dinner anywhere in Almuñécar, but if you are looking for an experience, then eat at Firmum. PS: Our favorites were stewed bull’s tail rice and Singapore style lobster.

We went for a meal on Wednesday 14 May 25. Sabina was a perfect host. Made great recommendations which we accepted and the food was delicious. I had the Turbot, very nice. My wife had the squid. Lovely food and nice atmosphere. Back in July 25 so will definitely call again. Fully recommend

We love this restaurant and always go when we are in Almuñécar. The staff are very friendly and the food is always great. They are always happy to accommodate our needs like being vegetarian or gluten free.

This was a stroke of serendipity, as the place opposite would not allow dogs, so we went across the road and their menu looked promising. The staff were brilliant. Cheerful, helpful, attentive, and efficient. Whilst the menu is a very traditional Spanish food you find on Spanish seaside resorts, the quality and service is far beyond ordinary. Lovely lady explained their specials for the day, and went through every dish patiently and clearly. They had Corvina on the list, which is the fish of choice for me, so I didn't to go look at anything else, and my wife chose seabass (with her usual no salt request). Both fish were cooked to perfection, which is not an easy feast for Corvina. Probably the best I have had, and I fully recommend it if you have never tried it before. For dessert my wife chose Apple Crumble, which is very unusual for Spanish restaurant as this is a traditional British desert. It was clearly homemade and delicious. Some British restaurants can tale a lesson or two from here. Chocolate Mouse was wow!!!. Thoroughly enjoyable meal, which made our second visit to the town even more memorable. 10 out of 10 for everything. Will be eating there next time we visit Almuñécar.

4,5 / 5 ..We Always Like to Stop by Sabina's. A Mix of fresh and daily Menues (f.e.) fish from the bay and simple/Basic dishes Well Made for a fair price. Sabina speaks several languages and the menue IS available in a Lot of languages as well. The Location is near the wonderful beach of San Cristobal.

Regardless of their stated schedules, it's technically never possible to eat there. it's always too late or too early. At 11:00 is too early. At 15:50 it's too late. At 13:00 it's too early. At 20:00 it's too early. At 23:00 it's too late... It's like an avocado joke.. pretty awkward for a touristic place on the beach..

Great location on the beach. Good service. Food was a bit common for us - it just didn’t stand out as unique and special. We had a nice salad and wine along with a spaghetti bolognese that seemed to be the standard commercial sauce. Prices seemed to reflect the unique location.

AVOID!!!!! I have lived here 5 years and worstvexpierience in any reataurant....gambas pil pil in tomato sauce, never heard of it! And the drink prices, I understand its summer but the price is more expensive than FIRVMN....a quality dining expierience. Watch out with extra costs! First, I have to say the food was good and the see views are great if you get a table in the sea side. What made it a bad experience was the bartender cranky answers and the fact they charge you 6.5€ on the bill if you say you're having dinner. When we asked why, they said it was the tapa they gave us when we order our drinks which other people were getting for free... A really cheeky move so I won't be coming back.

Paella was extremely salty, in fact tasted just salt and nothing else, Sangria has no alcohol and tastes like water. Service was good though, very friendly and fast, but at the end it's all about the kitchen and that is a disaster.

Something different. If you're into culinary experience this is ones to try out. Many different dishes for all tastes. This is also one of my favourite places in Almuñécar. Last time we tried the 2020 tapas winner, the carpaccio di Gama blanca, really awesome along one of my favourites the Apple cheese tower but really there are many dishes with a try.

I’ve come every year for the Rabo Del Toro and I swear it gets better every year. The service, attention to detail and the food is really one of the best in town. Maybe the best but you’ll need to decide that.

Tapas was perfect the carne en salsa was very good. The only advise I feel to give you the guys are about the albondegas.. they are big so the center stays dried. The should add more bred or milk in the making process, or making it smaller.

The best place in Almuñecar for octopus or calamares frites. The owner is very friendly and helpfull, prices are reasonable and the Plaza has nice atmosphere. Very recommended!

This is a very popular place. The food and service are great. It seems to have changed hands in the last couple of years, but it remains great.

I took my wife here for our 20th anniversary. We wanted to experience a traditional Spanish evening. The food was exceptionally good, and we were waiter serviced and treated with grace and kindness. The flamenco dancers💃🕺 and the singing and guitar and rhythm were just magical and really ended the night with such passion and love for a beautiful culture and diverse people's that we will be back for sure for our 21st. May the rhythm of the dance live with all of you, my deepest thanks ❤️

Great place to spend an evening. Food, drinks are great. Beautifull garden you dine at. What is important a private parking. Flamenco show at the end of the evening. You will spend here minimum 4h but its worthy.

Lovely building with fab views. Food was from the bbq. Very tasty. Drinks included in the price though I was a little disappointed as spirits and cider was not in the deal. Lovely surroundings with a buzzing atmosphere, very lively! Entertainment was flamenco dancers of all ages and were brilliant!! Well worth it. Will come again

Attended a 60th birthday party here. They have an elevator to get you up to the top so that it is accessible - the food was top notch awesome! Best food I have had in Spain to date! The venue is gorgeous - outside patio and inside dining. It started to rain - no problem! The flamingo dancer and the singers and drummer and guitar were so authentic - I have seen nothing like this before. Strongly recommend!

Absolutely fabulous! A must visit when here. We were served with style, kindness, attention (but not over bearing) and humour. The food was perfectly cooked, presented and delivered in excellent timing. I ordered a whole fresh snapper which was shown to me whole, from the ice cabinet before cooking. Great wines. Great beers. Great place!

The best part of the whole meal was the free olives. We ordered the muscles Catalan style and they were so bad. The muscles we over-steamed, didn’t have flavour, really small, unsalted and still had the hairy bits. The topping was a warm tomato and capsicum salsa and had some flavour but didn’t save the dish. Overall bland and glad we only ordered that and two aperol spritzers. Overpriced as well. We left the majority of it on the plate.

Such a lovely location! We had an early dinner around 7 PM, and it wasn’t busy at all, which made the atmosphere calm and relaxing. Our baby even slept peacefully in the stroller while we enjoyed our meal. The staff were very friendly and welcoming – we felt truly comfortable and appreciated their hospitality.

Best restaurant in Almuñecar (and honestly nearly the only one stylish!) other than obviously great food and ambiance and decoration. Highly recommended the Saumon tartar and the garlic shrimp!

We have been coming here for many years. The location can’t be beaten and the food is always good. No it’s not the cheapest but always found it to be worth the money. There is always a good atmosphere and they have live music most nights. Bonus is it is always open for morning coffee right through until late. They have always found us a table which we appreciate. Very dog friendly which is important for us - thank you

This has been the most incredible place for my whole family to eat. My husband and I get Cafe Every morning and paella every afternoon. Their food, drink and service was only bested by their amazing views and wonderful music.

We were a party of 3 and took the vegan paella for 2 and the Japanese stir fried veg and we shared it all it between the 3 of us. Both dishes were excellent. I don't particularly like rice but the Japanese veg was amazing and came with vegan caviar which I had been wanting to try for ages 😋 it was well worth the wait 😊 Pros: Ambience, Friendliness of staff, Overall experience Cons: Very laid back, may wait a while for service, no vegan milk for coffee 😐

Had breakfast here 4 times this week, great food, great location on the beach and English speaking lady in the morning is an absolutely delightful lady. Also had an evening meal with live music. The meal was amazing and the atmosphere was great.

I visited this strand bar today, April 5, 2025, and I can honestly say I’ve never experienced such verschrikkelijk (terrible) service in my life. I’m Dutch, and let’s be honest, service in Nederland isn’t exactly famous for being top-notch either, but what I encountered here was on a whole other level of unfriendliness—zo ongelooflijk onvriendelijk! The muscular Spanish waiter with short black hair and a white shirt? He acted like he was doing me a favor by even acknowledging my existence. No smile, no “hola,” just pure arrogance. The food? Overpriced and tasted like it was scraped off the beach and thrown on a plate. The drinks? My cerveza was warm, and when I politely asked for a cold one, he rolled his eyes like I’d insulted his entire familia. The atmosphere? Loud, chaotic, and not in a fun way—more like a “get me out of here” way. And don’t get me started on how long it took to get anything—espera, espera, espera, but nothing comes! People, doe jezelf een plezier (do yourself a favor) and NEVER visit Chiringuito El Bambu. If you want to waste your money, throw it into the sea instead—you’ll feel better about it. This place is a disaster, and I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy. Adiós to this rubbish—save your time and euros for somewhere that actually cares about its customers!

I had a fantastic experience at the restaurant, largely thanks to our wonderful waiter, Augustin. He was incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive from start to finish. Augustin took the time to walk us through the menu and made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of throughout the evening. His warm personality and outstanding service truly enhanced our dining experience. Highly recommended!

They charged us for “complimentary” tapas with our drinks. No notice was given. I ordered sirloin tips with potatoes, immediately saw that the presentation of the plate was terrible. No colors on the plate, tasted like only mushroom. The sirloin was overcooked and it all looked like a plate of brown mush. Overall, mediocre taste. The live band was great but did not make up for lazy service and food. I also went to use the bathrooms which were very dirty. Dirty toilet paper stacked up on the floor, dirty toilets and it smelled disgusting. Overall a 2/5 restaurant and would not recommend especially for the prices they make you pay per plate.

The food was excellent, but the service was truly wonderful. We dined off-season, in April, so we’re not sure how it is during peak summer months when it’s likely very crowded. This time we were lucky to get a table without a reservation. All the staff were very kind, and I really liked the style of table service. If I could, I would definitely come back without hesitation.

Food is 7/10, but the atmosphere is 3/10. The manager seems to be very pushy about putting a review online.. probably why it has higher rating than it should. Also they really try to sell you on buying the steak as it is 85 euros. They dropped off a small portion of bread on our table though we did not order that. At the time we thought it was probably part of the meal, but much to our surprise we got billed for it. They put it on every table, not sure what everyone else thought about that. Do try their burrata salad though for starters and then maybe go to the restaurant next door for the entrees (much nicer staff/good music&food).

We visited MarDela yesterday evening for a family meal. The staff were friendly and helpful, service was excellent. The food was amazing, so fresh and tasty, the steaks were fantastic. Great wine choice. We had an absolutely wonderful evening, this restaurant is definitely on another level and would highly recommend. Thank you.

There are some very interesting dishes on the menu. I had a burrata salad with avocado ice cream to start. It was very tasty but the ice cream was just sweet and bland, and didn’t really add anything other than being a gimmick. The Iberian pork fillet I had for my main with chimichurri sauce was excellent, and highly recommended.

Great steak house. We enjoyed a lovely steak that had been cooked perfectly on an open barbecue. The pepper salad was also great, as was the iberian pork loin. Overall, it was a great meal with attentive service.

Really good experience. We had this booked for a week as it had good reviews. Rice was wonderful and salads+desserts were from another world. Alejandra (the manager) was lovely and made such a great experience for us. Provolone a bit overrated, rest was great! (Might have added a bit more salt to the rice that's all). Cheers!

A must-visit in La Herradura. The service, and owners are welcoming and create a warm atmosphere, and the food is great. Highlights include local options, Mediterranean cuisine, each dish beautifully presented and perfectly seasoned. The stunning view overlooking the water enhances the dining experience, making every meal feel special. Highly recommend!

Slightly less busy than some years ago, the place still consistently delivers great food, the menu is extensive including aged steaks and a great dried octopus but they keep having great fried fish.

Our second time back here and am glad to say it was as good as the first time in every way. We had the 25euro menu again sooo good. With plenty to choose from we both had Tuna tartar and lamb. Excellent service right from making the reservation over the phone to the paying of the bill. Thank you for a top class meal.

The locals know this is the best place. They have ‘Aged steaks’ and an extensive menu. We had a fabulous lunch here, ‘menu del Dia’ was well worth €25, for the quality of food, wine and service, which is excellent. I intend to return in the future and would highly recommend to all. The Tuna Tartare is exceptional.

I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. It was our first night on vacation, and we were so impressed. The food was delicious - I recommend the seafood paella. The service was impeccable.

We had a lovely meal here on Saturday night as a party of 7. Although our first visit we were welcomed like we had been coming here for 20 years. The staff were lovely and food brilliant. Highlights were the Avacardo prawns, goats cheese /mango starter and rosemary lamb. We will be back!

Very tasty food. The best thing of their restaurant is that they have Menu del Dia which allows you to try different foods for less money instead of getting a big single plate for the same money. The other good thing is their service and friendly behaviour, one of the best customer service i ever had in Spain.

€13 for a three-course meal is definitely good value, and the portions are big. Unfortunately, the food itself was pretty bland, more like something from a cafeteria than a kitchen cooking with love. Maybe the à la carte dishes are better, but the set menu choices are only if you want a full stomach that doesn't break the bank. Nice authentic ambience though.

If you're looking for an authentic dining experience in Almuñecar, Bodega Francisco is a must-visit! We started off with caracoles (snails), which were cooked to perfection, rich in flavor, and absolutely delicious. The fried calamari was crispy and tender, with just the right amount of seasoning—a true seafood delight. As a lovely bonus, we received a complimentary tapa of jamón, which was exquisite and added an extra touch to our dining experience. What truly stood out was the service—everyone was friendly, attentive, and quick to ensure we had everything we needed.

My own personal experience was the food was very average, expensive for what it was, I had to add more salt and Tabasco to the Pulpo for flavouring. The service really was indifferent.

Loved the space. Try the Clara con limon (0% alcohol beer with limon) and the different tapas I. A traditonal Spanish bodega with wine barrels. The food is good a little bland but first Tim trying and enjoyed it.

We loved the food here. Especially the grilled fish with the nice garlic salsa on top! Service was fast and friendly. English and german language was spoken by the staff. Menus in Spanish / English / German / French. Lunch menu was great value for money (3 tasty courses for 13€!) We ate here 3 weeks ago, me my husband and a friend. My husband and friend contracted food poisoning. They have been really very sick for 2 days. I have tried to contact the restaurant, but I get no response. I wanted to ask if more people got sick and alert them that something was wrong with a certain dish, so they could respond to this. Unfortunately zero response. I really regret that because the atmosphere at Tito yayo is nice. But not being open to criticism, I don't find hospitable.

Nice restaurant next to the beach with a view at the sea. Friendly staff, working fast. I had the grilled calamare, perfectly grilled and taste was good. My girlfriend had the Ensalada Tropical. A huge salade with lettuce and fruit, orange, banana, kiwi, strawberries, mango, raspberries, papaya, 2 types of melon and pineapple. The only thing that made me choose 4 stars, is that the banana was just not ripe enough (the chef should have noticed while cutting), the kiwi was very sour and some of the strawberries were also a bit sour. We will be back though, next week.

I reserved a table at this restaurant using Google. I mentioned there would be a vegan in our party. I tried to call 4 times to ask to make sure our table was on the beach but wasn’t able to get through. I tried at various times of day to no avail. When we got there I asked for the vegan paella, which I forgot needed to be ordered in advance or you wait 30-45 mins for it to be made (normal practise in Spain). However there were no other vegan options other than nachos and a salad on the menu. While I appreciated I should have called this isn’t really an option as you can’t get through and there aren’t other vegan options. Plus generally paella is for 2 or more people so what do I do if no one else is happy to eat a vegan paella with me? Having said this the food was lovely, even salad was beautifully presented. Or take was in the beach and the restaurant staff very attentive.

We had a very pleasant meal here last night. My wife is vegetarian, so a lot of good restaurants in the area are not suitable. The atmosphere was nice, the staff friendly (if run off their feet), and the food was good. It was also very good value for money. Definitely recommend. Oh, they can't take gratuities on card, so take some cash if you want to tip.

By the time we arrive the place was almoat about to close. But they were very gentle to not leave us hungry. Took 3 different pastas. The one with tartufo was unlucky and other 2 was very nice. Canoli (pistachio) was fresh and amazing, same for coffee. Bread was hallalouiyah.. Good and quite place and good / sincere service.

There were 4 of us and we ordered for a a starter the small clams to share. It said on the menu 350g of clams which equates to about 55 - 60 clams in total (I have just bought some this morning for our meal tonight and I weighed them), in total we were given about 30 ....a fifth of those were not open!.That works at just over 1€ per clam! What is a chef doing serving unopened clams, they should have been thrown away and replaced with clams that we the customer can eat! The other starter ordered was crispy chicken, Philadelphia cheese, tomato jam and honey & mustard sauce, it sounded bizarre but we thought we would try it. Big mistake........ 14€ for slice of shop bought soggy brown bread with shop bought breaded chicken cut in slices so it looked pretty but that was about all! It is not the type of food I would expect from a restaurant. A cafe, for a quick snack yes but not from a restaurant at 14€!!!!!! I should have complained to the waiter especially about the lack of clams as that was just not acceptable but we were with friends and I didn't want to spoil the lunch. To serve 4 people 6 clams each at a total cost of 19€ is just not acceptable....

Fishes were not fresh and overpriced. The sardines were floating in their liquid. Not fresh. The razor claims were full of sand, chewy and not fresh either. The interior is old fashioned and the restaurant smelled old fat combined with cigarette smoke. We paid more than we do at other beach restaurants in torre Del Mar. Nothing nice? Yes the views are brillant.

Food is good, and you can still get BBQ sardines or pinchos , but the wine isn’t fantastic and the glassware is rather chunky. But tasty food nonetheless 😋 Just popped in for a BBQ take away of sardines and prawns Lovely 🍤😘

4 people. 3 got fish. 1 fish very late (they had forgotten and it came 15.mins later than the other food) and raw, when it was served. 1 steak very much like leather... Much tendor. Last 2 fish very good.

The restaurant has sardines on skewers that are very good – they’re kind of famous, and for good reason! The flavors are great, and you can tell they know what they’re doing. The prices are a bit on the “spicy” side, but it really depends on what you order. I recommend giving it a try at least once – then you can decide for yourself if it’s a place you’d want to come back to.

The service here was absolutely terrible. Communication was a disaster—one server told us we couldn’t order paella, yet minutes later we saw other tables being served paella. When we asked about it, the staff didn’t apologize, didn’t offer any explanation, and showed zero remorse. The food we did end up ordering was just as disappointing: bland, poorly prepared, and far from what you’d expect at a restaurant in such a nice location. Don’t be fooled by the setting—this place is a waste of time and money. The service and food are both awful. Stay far away.

Great location at the end of La Herradura beach. Friendly staff, quick service. Excellent food, the mixed paella was fantastic. If I should give one point of criticism, it would be that some of the desserts are not home-made and served in their original packaging. Ask for a front line beach table!

Cambao De Vicente is a beautiful bar sat right at the waters edge at the end of a love bay in La Herradura. The service was warm and friendly. I couldn't think of a more lovely place to visit and spend a lovely afternoon right next to the sea. Highly recommend

Visited at lunch time and Asked for a table inside but was refused. So we were walking away as we didn't want to sit in the sun due my husband burning very easily and they then called us back. The place was nearly empty so we were bemused by the initial refusal. Ordered the meat platter for two and it was excellent value for money and very well cooked. Couldn't fault the meal or prices for drinks either. Lovely views and good service too.

TERRIBLE! GROTTENSCHLECHT! HORRIBLE! The food is average at the most and completely overpriced Rating the service is impossible. There is no scale this low. And even the spectaclular ambiente of the bay of La Heradura can‘t make up for this way below standard restaurant NO GO!

We are here twice on our holiday and both times were excellent. It tends to be quieter in the evening, lunch time always seems fully booked. Kind wait staff, and the grilled sardines on wood fire are amazing! Price is reasonable for quality of the food. Recommended!

We had the paella, while it was OK, it's wasn't the best I had eaten this week. It tasted a bit gritty, this may have been something to do with all the shells. It may be the traditional way to serve it, but I prefer a shell free dish. Portions size was ok. Again, other restaurants we had visited were a little more generous. If ordering paella, remember it takes a while to prepare. The staff seemed friendly enough, we sat out on the terrace, while it was a bit cold and windy the upper terrace is more sheltered so the better place to be. Some of our party had a different fish dish, and they found it to be a little salty for their taste. The winner for us was the pasta good portion and tasty.

I had been glad to get the last table for Saturday lunchtime. The place was packed an the waiters got really busy. They were very professional but one more waiter would be a good investment especially as several tables had Bogavante con Arroz which consumes more time as every customer needs to be served individually. We came here as we knew that menu contains some very good vegetarian dishes (likely not on purpose): Salad with goat cheese and salmon (not very good), Salmorejo ordered without ham, Parillada de verduras (vegetables), Patatas a lo Pobre (Fried Potatoes and eggs with onions. We also had a very nice Bacalao with vegetables. The cheese cake was absolutely outstanding. Eben the bread was edible!! Despite being packed there was enough space for a wheel chair. I wouldn’t bring dogs on weekend. Overall the food was very good but with 85€ for 4 people without alcoholic drinks fairly expensive, what can be expected at a beach place.

Everything was correct. Service was good and the food was well. Prices are inline with other restaurants near the beach and portions are good size. The grilled squid was very good but I missed more options in the menu like salads.

We had Sauted potatoes and avocado with tomatos. Good vegan lunch! Kind waiters.

Regular place with regular food, nothing outstanding. Service is ok. Too many people selling stuff are allowed in and are a bit disturbing.

Not too busy when we arrived at around 7-30pm. Menu also in English. Reasonable prices and certainly what we had was very enjoyable. 3 vodka & tonics, 2 gin & tonics, a bottle of house wine. 2 Salmorejo(soups), 1 shared Cachopo cheese stuffed veal(very big) 2 people sharing a Zarzuela seafood stew(again quite large), pan(crusty bread), 1 coconut ice-cream in shell, 1 lemon sorbet with hot coloured water beneath, 1 shared dessert of chocolates on whipped cream. Finishing with 4 cafe con leches. All came to 139 euros.

Do not order paella ciego! Way too much rice relative to eventuell other ingredienses such as one par of calamares a little(!) bit of of pollo and 2 shrimps… all in a nondelicious sauce (completly tasteless) Others plates seemed to be more of a lucky bet - this forgetable ricedish was not though unfortunately. You get 1 tapas for 2 beers - not 2 tapas. All in all barely ok. For us not worth the price.

They do some things well and others not so well. The grilled monkfish and cuttlefish was nice. The caprichosa salad was also good with a nice mix of fruits, nuts and vegetables. However, they let it down by serving a side of steamed carrots and beans that were obviously frozen supermarket vegetables. Service was ok too. Stick to the tapas next time.

Our first meal on our holiday in Almunecar and it was mediocre. As soon as we decided against the 60-70 euros fish dishes, our service was sketchy. My husband's meal was over cooked, salty and he usually eats whatever is put in front of him, but couldn't eat his 'secret pork' (whatever that means). My prawn pil pil was OK but lacked in flavour from previous pil pil elsewhere. Needless to say we left no tip and won't be going there again. Shame, as reading other reviews it seems they can do much better.

We had a couple of main meals. Entrecote and pork fillet, both were cooked to perfection and service excellent. We returned following evening and sat at the bar and had drinks and lovely tapa.

Uhhh, what a positive surprise!!! /Seafood mix, potato, fruit salad/ huge portions! Wow, first of all – the interior is super cozy and inviting. Second – the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. And now the food… oh my God. Absolutely delicious and so fresh! The salad? Literally out of this world – like heaven on a plate. I’d give them Michelin stars if I could. The seafood was amazing, perfectly cooked, and the sauces? Wow, next level. Pure joy, pure flavor. I’m coming back for sure!

We had Paella Mixta and a ensalafa de la casa. It was amazing! Very delicious, lots of chicken, seafood, shrimps. Yummy!

Service was poor. Employees were arguing with each other. Paella was okay. Communication skills were poor towards non-English speaking guests.

Really amazing service. First, the sommelier helps you choose a bottle of wine from his cellar, describing each in detail. Then you get to choose from massive joints of meat that they cut to the size you need and cook to perfection. Absolutely wonderful.

Probably the best steak we have ever had. Service was amazing, food was amazing and the attention to detail was awesome. Kids loved the meat so much we had to order it twice! Being invited into the wine cellar was great as were the descriptions of the best wine to go with our steak, and they were spot on!

We tried Ireland Angus beef 🥩 it was really, I’m not a fan of beef. Also had the garlic shrimps, perfectly cooked and in awesomely sauce brilliantly served on a fire plate. Good wine 🍷 bottlers and/or per cops.

Greatest beef I've tasted in my life. We went here 5th of September 2024 and ordered 1850 grams of Angus Ireland beef after recommendation from the staff. The amount of meat was perfect for 4 people, the taste was amazing, great quality. Good seating area. Busy place with only one waitress made us wait a tiny bit longer than normal. Nice, clean restaurant. Non-smoking outside area which is great. Very recommended if you are in La Herredura. We will return for sure!

What a wonderful restaurant, the service is incredible, the food absolutely amazing and wine was spectacular. You can clearly see the experience and passion of the sommelier. We all thoroughly enjoyed, and would go back again in an instant. Highly recommend.

We had a fabulous lunch here. I had the pork knuckle which was served with cream potato and jus. There was so much meat I couldn't finish it, despite it being absolutely delicious.

Fantastic restaurant at great prices and the best service you can get. Food is beyond delicious we had rodaballo and it was great..not to mention the portions are huge.. do not miss dessert... delicious. Definitely a must if you are in San Cristobal

Awful served me raw fish and was like a old rubber shoe it was raw in the middle and was frozen so not fresh at all and ignored our complaint and brushed us off like we didn't matter but the thing is you work hard in life to go out for a treat and it's not good to treat your customers like that

Excellent! This is not silly tourist food. The free appetizer of shrimp was fun and tasty. The bread came fresh from the oven. We had steak and lasagna - PERFECTO! Loved every single bite….

Really enjoyed meal we had here on new years day. The waiter was really friendly , service was quick. We had tapas which was nice , the lasagne comes on its own but to be honest was really filling and rich so was fine on its own , daughter had spaghetti with cream and bacon sauce she loved it , the serving was huge and she couldn't finish. I would visit again

This place was recommended to us by another local restaurant owner. Total home run!!! We arrived around 2pm and the place was mostly deserted. Kitchen was immaculately clean. We ordered a two person seafood paella for 14 euro per person. Tons of seafood inside, too much to actually finish all of it. Bottom line: reasonably priced, beer was super cold, large portions and tasted outstanding.

Gentleman at reception was very friendly and checked us in quick. Hot to the room and it was OK. Not the biggest but ok. Was clean, bathroom clean too. Very basic, I mean basic. No toiletries, just hand soap, no hairdryer, no nothing. Walls paper thin, you can hear everyone and everything. We are early riser so we go to bed earlier. No way to get to sleep before all others in hotel are in bed cause you here them talking, walking, using toilet and so on. Location is very nice thou, only a few meters from the beach and you got restaurants and cafes along the street.

The location was perfect with great sea views. The rooms were basic as you would expect from 1 star and clean and comfortable. However, sound proofing did not exist and two separate groups of students chattering on the landings kept us awake for hours. The food was OK but, as is usual in Spain, hot food was served on cold plates and soon itself become cold. There is no breakfast facility as the bar/restaurant does not open until midday but there are several cafes nearby. I think next time we'll go up a star or two!

Not impressed, stoney beach, rooms not adequate.

Called to meet a friend for drinks. Ordered Larios gin and was given some horrendously awful rough spirit. When questioned the girl said it was Larios. I then ordered a Beefeater gin from the manager and was given the same awful rough spirit. It looks like these people pray on tourists, the service was well below standard, waiting times just to be acknowledged that I was sat on the terrace was around 15minutes. I nearly stood up and walked away and knowing now how bad it was I really should have done just that

The Place was perfect for a short stay on budget. The room was clean, the service was very easy and friendly. The Hotel is just 1 minute away from the beach, so you can listen to the waves in the night. The breakfast was real small - just a sandwich, a coffee and an orange juice, but enough for us. I would definately recommend the hotel!

The people working here were kind, but we waited for about 2 hours to finally eat. We didn't get the salad while waiting or even bread. We didn't get served t once and thy is really unacceptable. They probably thought, that we couldn't speak Spanish as the menu stated that every meal was came with potato and they replied that specific dish not. When I asked in Spanish they said oh yes we are out of potatoes.

One of a million bars in Almuñécar - but this was a recommendation of my gfs family (from Granada). Second row to the beach. The waitress is fast & nice, tapas (kind of gambas) tasty, the food typical (fried everything). The tomatoe/avocado salad is nice, the fried fish as always. All over a solid bar, highly recommendable

Busy place with many of the native Spanish enjoying the evening with you. Great ambience and the food is good, very good. Yes so the bar man doesn't smile a lot, yes it doesn't seem he's paying attention. But, to be fair he pours beers as if he's milking cows, while he moves between kitchen and serving bar with plate after plate of food. Thank him when you leave and I promise he'll flash you his teeth, as will all the rest of staff. Enjoy!

We showed up on a busy afternoon, no room on the terrace but managed to get a table indoors. Prices seemed very reasonable but turned out the portions were quite small. French fries were droopy so we sent them back, the retry were much the same, the owner blamed the quality of potatoes supplied, might be the temperature of the oil? Anyway, a perfectly lovely moment, ate all and want to come back later in the year, this was January.

Couldnt get a drink! The restaurant was empty they would only serve us if we had food. This is the only restaurant in herradura this has happened to us in shame to loose a good customer. Thank you guys!

Been coming to an apartment 100yds from here for 20yrs. Local, family run. Great food. Attentive service, that we don't get from those at the end of the beach.

Great little place on the beach. Prawn pil pil is a bit different to others we tried in the area and we loved it. Husband enjoyed the steak, perfectly cooked with home made chips. I had the pork chop, again very nice. Wine very reasonably priced. Service good. Would recommend to family and friends.

If you are a tourist you must eat here. The food is great and the chips are to die for. Other reviews say that they are soggy but that is because they are fryed differently and they taste so good. Finally the sea view and sound is lovely and finishes the experience. :)

First, it's necessary to book a table as this place gets quite busy. The starters were incredible; we got the Gamba roja which was amazing, and the ibérico ham which was also amazing. Both were decently priced and well worth the money. However, we got fish for our main and were absolutely shocked to find that it was 80€ for the entire fish. It was alright, but quite bland and the vegetables served on the side were random and not great. If I were to do it again, I would only go for the starters.

Wonderful lunch with a view of the waves rolling in. A starter of the best prawns I have ever eaten started us off to an amazing meal where we were really looked after well. Fish for main course chosen from their in house fish counter, you can taste the freshness and care of the cooking. Definitely worth a visit

Great menu of the day at only 14€ per son,’withdrawn bread and beer, drinks included, beautiful sea views and environment. We had a fantastic lunch and will definitely love to come back.

We wanted to dine here on our last evening in Almunecar, because we found the decor and the overall appeal very attractive. We were with 7, of which 2 teens. Right from the beginning , they didn’t have the right drinks. I do understand for a Negroni, which is international, but not even a simple vermuth , a Spanish national drink. When we asked them for a cocktail, the only ones available were Bloody Mary and Pina Colada. For an establishment like this it seems rather poor. Also, the chosen wine was not available, the offered an alternative which in all fairness wasn’t bad. When it came to the food, the starters were fine, but the teens main dishes came at the same tine with our sharing starters. They love sharing too, but the waiter didn’t even bother to ask. The main course has been however a disaster. A sole arrived not cooked ( a real health hazard) and for the other 4 people they brought a sea-bass to share. About 70 gram fish per person. The worst was that after complaining the responsible manager didn’t even bother to come and apologise. We asked for the bill and the sole was not charged for. That is not the point. We left the table hungry, at 22.30 in the evening. However, we’ve been eating fantastic in Spain and we won’t be deterred buy a bad experience. We won’t be eating here again. Go to Firmum or Don Olivo if you want good food and top service.

Awesome, wonderful and beautiful food. The size of the servings are really generous. Beautiful location 100 yards from the water. Lovely restaurant. Excellent, friendly and attentive staff. I will definitely come back the next time I'm in Spain. Definitely worth a visit.

Very welcoming establishment. Dog friendly too. Wonderful menu, we will have to visit again (several times) as there are so many interesting dishes to choose from. We had Dorada baked in salt. Which was a whole piece of theatre as well as perfectly cooked and quite delicious. We sat there for most of the afternoon. Very relaxed and also very reasonably priced. Highly recommended this restaurant.

Great location offering outdoor dining right on the beach. Had the Iberian paella which was delicious and generous in size. Drinks and staff were great too. If you’re a cat person like me you will enjoy watching the thriving cat population around the restaurant!

Stunning beach bar and restaurant. Free tapas with drinks Great food….don’t ask for fish on a Monday as not fresh….do ask what steaks they have (if you like) as they buy from the Bilbao/san Sebastián area. We enjoyed a tomahawk on Thursday night and T-Bone for Monday lunch: superb!

The worst possible service you can imaging! We’ve been guests since ages but a couple of years ago something happened (new owner?) and the place has fallen totally and almost no one eats there anymore. They have the most strange way of working; you can only place an order from two in staff, they have no clue of who has ordered or who wants to make one. The dishes has become the smallest (but more expensive) and you have to wait for ever to get it, they don’t even seem interested in getting paid either because even that takes an eternity. From now on we’ll only eat “next door” - quick, happy staff and fantastic food! Kudos Nestor!

I walked here from the town to eat, I have never seen so many cats in a restaurant terrace 🤮 Next door restaurant had them all around the back door as well. I refused to stay for a meal.

Food poisoning. My wife and I shared the national squid, we ate only half as we found it very tough. This was communicated and no discount. Within 20 minutes of leaving I am violently throwing up on the walk back to our hotel. Ruined my holiday, cheers.

I've been to this pizzeria several times over the years as we find the food delicious. We always get a warm welcome by the owners and their staff. I would especially recommend the lasagne de carne. It seems freshly made and is really tasty. The salads are fantastic. The pizzas are excellent too. Yes I love sourdough pizza bases and these are not quite the same but although different they are still excellent and the toppings.. fresh and tasty.

Authentic Italian You must eat here & the garlic bread was thin crunchy & garlicky. Plus home made filled pasta. Loved it. Cost 45euro including bottle of wine. Great value. What we couldn't eat they put in take away containers for us.

Superb last night meal in La Herradura. Friendly welcome, lovely table watching the sunset. The salmon with vegetables and green pepper salsa was outstanding. 2 beautiful fillets of salmon perfectly cooked. And the Tiramisu to finish was fantastic. And all really well priced.

Everyone here is absolutely amazing, the food is delicious, the people are the most polite you’ll ever meet, what more could you want? And that’s not even mentioning how amazing the pizza is, sweet mother of Christ that is the best pizza you’ll find in southern Spain or potentially just the world as a whole If I could add a sixth star you already know I would, but google is limiting me to 5 (HOW COULD THEY >:[ ) If you are ever in La Herradura, go to Venezia. The staff are super friendly, The food is absolutely delicious and the place has a nice charm to it. The portion sizes are big enough to share with 2 to 3 people. The pizza's are to die for. My experience was a solid 9.8 out of 10.

A realy great place, with good food and nice staff. The only draw back that does not make this a 5 star experience, is that some other member of our party didn't get their food before everyone else was finished. One of us also got food that was a bit to much burnt, beside that it was a good experience with servers that was apologetic for our problems and offered us free desert which was nice.

An Italian restaurant on the promenade, a good place to come with children. We arrived 4 adults and 3 children for dinner. The restaurant has a children's menu, but they like to order from the regular menu. We ordered a pizza without cheese for the boy who is vegan, the vegan girl ordered spaghetti in tomato sauce. The third girl ordered spaghetti with carbonara sauce. This dish was excellent, tasty and well made. We ordered additional dishes: fried calamari with a side salad, which was crispy and good. A spinach cannelloni dish with meat, which was small and a bit disappointing in taste. The older vegans ordered gnocchi in a pesto sauce and mushrooms in a spicy sauce. All in all it was a successful evening

A good local family friendly restaurant. We ordered different dishes such as meat, chicken and salad. Lamb chops and meat dishes were tasty. They bring small plates of paella to share as a starter which we also liked.

4.5/5. Nice Central place to eat. Service ist very nice and Food is at a good Ratio between price/quality/amount. As Always in Spain WE recommed to ask If a dish containa meat or fish even thought it might not be mentioned at the menue. The house salad to great too.

I loved the menu, I wanted almost everything. Very high quality for the prices they have, a place in the historic center of Almuñécar. The staff is helpful and friendly.

5/5, A charming little bar/restaurant. We had the clams, which were the highlight, delicious and light. We also had the pork meatballs, which was a local dish and was more heavy but enjoyable. For desert the Tiramisu was fantastic. Well worth trying.

Very disappointed with both the service and food. The waitress was very unprofessional and unfriendly. We had the arroz with bogavantes which was 22 euros per person for a minimum of 2 people. It was extremely salty, and barely any fish at all, more shell than anything really. On top of all we received a plate of salmorejo, it was so small we thought it was a tapa, but one of the waitresses made a mistake and they charged us for it, it was 8+ euros. Don’t come here. There’s a real tapa restaurant called Tito yayo 8 minutes from there that’s actually worth it. Also they charge you for the bread at this restaurant, which you don’t even order. It’s a joke for it to be in southern Spain.

A lovely romantic evening for valentine's the staff were very attentive, and the meal was great. Price was good too. Will def recommend and go again.

By the beach but absolutely not a chiringuito! Dress code, wonderful mood music, decorations and atmosphere, possibly s bit posh for us but what the heck 😊 extensive menu, very fresh fish.. It was an absolute treat. Go check out.

Excellent food, especially risotto with truffles and ravioli! There was always minimum one waitress near our table who could speak English very well. Outdoor were a lot of fans so the air was fresh, not stuffy and hot. Prices are adequate to dishes quality. The best restaurant in the Almuñecar I have ever eaten in.

Nice venue close to the beach. I had the grilled dorada which was good. An improvement would be if the waiters were more attentive. A bit irritating to have to wait a long time before getting the waiters attention (despite a not too full restaurant).

I have never eaten in such a bad chiringuito before . Me and my friend felt totally frauded . The price was totally unreasonable for the quality they offered. I doubt the fish I ordered was fresh but the worst is the way it was fried . Yet it was huge , it was zero quality fish. I would describe as the left over fish no one wants nor like . That was the best description of the dish . On top of that , they charged almost 3€ for an aluminium container to take away the food we didn’t eat . First time in my life they added an extra charge for such a thing . Then , 8 € service charge if all the rest was not enough pricey. I could even describe it as ridiculous . Not coming back nor recommending this chiringuito for fish .

This place does have it all. Great food and service to go with the amazing view. It is in a semi-protected cove so it is a comfortable spot even if there's a little wind. I ran across this on accident while I was out for a walk on the beach. I only had a couple of beers this time, but the tapas were exceptional. I've had seafood paella as a tapa at a couple of other places and it's always cooked wrong. This was perfect with the rice dry and flavorful and a couple of pieces of seafood that were delicious. The other tapa was delicious chunks of tender beef in a nice sauce. I can't wait to return to have a full order of the paella. Thank you so much!!

Went for birthday lunch for brother in law, the food was amazing, pork steak, pizza, lamb cutlets, hot chocolate pudding, with amazing views of the beach and Spanish guitar, the staff are lovely

Great food, wonderful staff and a fantastic atmosphere. Even though the restaurant is full every day the staff is quick, nice and happy. We’ve never had to wait for a table or our food. After a couple of days they even knows our names!

A lovely lunch spot with a breathtaking view of the sea, beaches and stone tower. Especially delicious rice dishes. Excellent paella vege, well-chosen vegetable compositions, with asparagus and a bit of broad beans. A portion for 2 people can easily be enough even for four! Crunchy octopus with delicious hollandaise sauce - nice too. Acceptable prices, for 5 people 86 € with drinks. subtracts one star for spageti (poor) and 4 cheese pizza (too much blue cheese like Gorgonzola or roquefort made the pizza bitter). Delicious paella… and this place !!! Very professional and friendly service.

By far, the best restaurant of our holiday. The staff were very friendly and the manager was brilliant, especially with my children who didn't want to leave. Food was stunning, large menu so something for everyone. Would highly recommend, beautiful setting on the beach.

The WORST Italian food I have experienced ! Visited this Italian Restaurant on Sunday evening. The service I have to admit was very good, unfortunately there it stops. We ordered Prawn Pil Pil (as shown in pic) which were 'swimming' in brine from the frozen prawns (rather than defrost them first) which made the taste not pleasant at all and tasted more of sea water then Pil Pil. Our second course was (supposedly) Lasaña (as shown in pic)... I will let you judge for yourselves, didn't come in the traditional round earthenware dish [cazuela de terracota] instead just 'plonked' on the plate like that (when I enquired about the earthenware dish I was told it was taken out and served on the plate like that... neadless to say I did not eat the 'Lasaña'. Our other option was Pizza 4 Estaciones, again presentation terrible, as was the taste of cheap ingredients. Normally a 4 Estaciones pizza comes with the ingredients on each quarter, not mixed together and thrown on the pizza. When we asked for the bill (not cheap) and were asked if we had enjoyed our meal (obviously not, by what we had left on our plates), we gave the waiter our feedback, however no attempt was made by the Management to ask us what we had not enjoyed, why we had not enjoyed the meal, or even offer a (as is the norm) complementary Limoncello. Unfortunately NOT RECOMMENDABLE and will not be visiting again.

This family-run, family-friendly, fantastic Italian has become a firm favourite of mine. It has made me break my golden rule of eating only Spanish food when in Spain...but he freshness of the ingredients, the amazing dough, and super-friendly service have converted me, and our Pettit four have been back again and again to try out loads more f the menu, both on the restaurant terrace and as takeaway, and never been disappointed. Drinks are great, too. Love this place. I just went back to Sapori after a gap of almost three years… and it’s JUST AS GOOD!!! It’s packed every lunch and night, and deservedly so - the best pizza dough outside Italy - and possibly inside too. Incredibly consistent and wonderful. Thank you to all the team - coming back was easily as good as I’d dreamt and hoped it would be. I usually only eat Dpanish food in Spain, but Sapori is just so good, I can’t resist more than one visit…bang goes the diet, but utterly worth it. Possibly my favourite eatery on Earth. For years and years and years.

Rude, arrogant owner when asked why the pizza was so full of liquid....a very soup-like, sloppy pizza with an odd taste and a rude excuse...I paid and left for good! Terrible client service, used to be great before they put so many more tables and with a kitchen that can't cope! Calidad zero, pizza de sopa y jefe mal educado......jamás! Ciao Bella 👎🏾

The food and service here is amazing, infact we ate here three times in just a few weeks. All of the food was tasty and flavoursome with decent sized portions too. We had dinner here two nights in a row — that says it all. The food was absolutely delicious: full of flavor, freshly prepared, and with plenty of vegetarian options too. Each dish was clearly made with care. What made it even better was the kind and attentive staff. They made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend this place! We got takeaway and had a drink while we waited, lovely atmosphere and the staff where great they even gave us a free starter while we waited.

Pre covid times, this restaurant was one of our regular haunts and we would often have their menu del dia as there was a good choice at a good price. However, we went for lunch this week to find they've stopped the menu del dia, which is fine so we chose off the menu. We both had chicken and sweetcorn soup which was dreadful, with far too much salt. It would be fair to say, it was the worst soup we've ever had in any Chinese restaurant, totally tasteless. The main, beef and mushrooms were far too salty so we called the waiter out and sent it back as it tasted awful. They brought out a new one but the fried rice had gone cold so that was sent back to be microwaved. We skipped dessert. All in all a disappointing lunch and we were both hungry before we went in so that made it worse somehow. So the restaurant that had a winner with the menu del dia and food was always first rate has gone down in our opinion and we wondered if different chefs are working there. To be fair, service was fine, but there were only about 4 tables occupied at the time we arrived. Would have to seriously rethink going here again.

Warning: I was over charged. One of the dishes we ordered was €4.95 on the menu. I was charged €7.95 on the bill. When I pointed out the difference between the menu price and the bill to our waiter, who spoke good English until then, he changed into rapid Spanish. When I asked again, more rapid Spanish was the response. He claimed the menu price was wrong. He did not change the price. I've lived here for 3 years. I like the food here and had been at the restaurant several times. Due to this incident, I will not be returning and am warning others.

We have been here a few times as the food is good and put down as what we experienced could be down to a bad day for staff. The food is delicious but the service is atrocious. No acknowledgement at arrival or polite discourse throughout from a certain staff member (possible manager /owner) on numerous occasions from start to finish and at varying times of day. Very ignorant for someone who is in the service industry. If you want to eat at the same time, be prepared to have your hopes dashed while be rudely served by this man. The other younger staff members were polite and friendly on each occassion. But couple the difficulties of the kitchen with the service, we won't be back.

Service not at all good, waited 15 minutes to be served a drink, that was after asking nicely @nd then making a fuss! The food was not as good as the first time we visited. The chicken with satay sauce had absolutely no peanut flavor and it needed salt! The duck was ok, the hot and sour soup mediocre. It is probably best to stick to one of the Spanish bars nearby, they are all very good and serve excellent tapas before supper, just walk towards the sea and down the alleyways.....away from Asiatico’s entrance.

Five stars all the way. We have been here for 8 days and in this bar/restaurant on most days or evening. Lunch, dinner or just a drink the staff are absolutely wonderful. They can't do enough for you. So friendly and welcoming. The food is fantastic and the presentation like a work of art. Thank you for looking after us 😊

I recommend this restaurant paseo de Cotobro 5 under the Edificio Epsylon Uno left to hotel and restaurant Arrayanes for its quality food with good price, quality service with smiling guys and a good cook using fresh food ingredients and also for the friendly atmosphere, frequently full on the terrace or inside when cold comes. I have been eating there for years and the new managing team is as usual, very good. I enjoy their cooking many times a month. You can before or after enjoy the paseo 7 kilometers long from Cotobro to the east of Almuñécar. Enjoy the sea too.

Lovely place, good food and service!

Came across the bar by chance. Ordered beer and got tapas which was beautiful. Waiter put fan on as it was so humid.

We are new here and they were super helpful in recommending excellent options. We had the prawn spaghetti and chicken drumsticks with the in house sauce and it was very good!

Lived here for a year and this is the best tapas restaurant and great service! Delicious food and good for a family dinner or a night out.

My only regret is that I only found this restaurant on my last evening in La Herradura. One of the best pizzas I've ever eaten, great food, humane prices.

Delicious pizza, best in the area. You can pick up ready made slices or order a whole pizza freshly made. Dough is delicious.

Had the best Quattro Staggioni pizza IV ever had, small unassuming place, a few tables outside or take away, if you like pizza then this is the best in la Herradura

Eat the best Italian pizza 🍕 in la herradura here and the slices are cheap and delicious 😋

I love this place. Every time I come to Spain with my family the first thing we do is come to this place. They’re like a 2nd family to us ,their food is delicious and they are all so nice to us !! We love it here !!!

We had to get churros...so we did! It was a bit tricky to get tables for all of us but we made it work. We had to go get the sugar for the churros and asked for chocolate a few times but other than that, everything was great. The restaurant is right on the beach/promenade and a pleasant breeze was blowing. All seating was under a canopy with awnings but was complete open on the sides. Prices were very reasonable.

It's 12am on Monday and you're closed whereas google info states you're open until 1pm. No information or update whatsoever. Very dissapointing, we were really looking forward to visiting you.
