Great food here. What the setting lacks in refinements, it makes up for with the meal.

Great place to stop in for a pint and a stew. Food was amazing, service was friendly and helpful, and pints were free flowing. We went for a late lunch and came away happy campers for our choices. Definitely worth giving the food a try.

Called in on speculation. Very glad we did.. Three of us ordered various items. We all had a soft drink @€3 each. And 1 espresso. We all had a main course. For three people it averaged out at approximately 26€ each. All of us thought it was well worth the money.

A wonderful pub with fantastic locally sourced food, a great kids menu (our girls say the Mac n Cheese is the best anywhere), fabulous pints of Guinness and Beamish with friendly and welcoming staff.

Surprising experience!!!! Far from the usual pub food, their menu is really original and healthy, and especially super tasty!!! The staff is also really nice and friendly, coupled to the mix of colors and taste (salt/sweet) in our platers, they made our day, thank you for this great work! Highly recommended

Big pub with large outside area way out the back. Would double up well with music or a DJ outside. Here to watch Rugby so didn't eat. Place was very busy and difficult enough to find seats. Biggest issue I had were the toilets. Really small (tiny) for a pub this size with a long wait a regular thing. They were also not well maintained so the bin was overflowing all night and there was a mountain of toilet paper on the floor in the only cubicle! Yes, one cubicle for the whole pub! Not for me, wouldn't go back.

Warm and cozy inside, wonderful outdoor area on a sunny day, also great undercover area outdoors. Outstanding service, the food was exceptional. Had the special of the day - goats cheese and thyme soufflé. Was there for lunch, but can highly recommend this bar!

We had a wonderful time at Cafe On The Lane. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Lots of fresh pastries, cakes, etc. and a good selection of savoury sandwiches too. Reasonably priced and the quality of the food and drinks is fantastic. Very cute decor too.

Found this little gem while at a wedding. Can not recommend highly enough. Beautiful little shop along with lovely coffee and really attentive staff. Even the takeaway cups are gorgeous!

Literally writing this review while I’m still enjoying my coffee and cake here~ one word “lovely!” The service, atmosphere, environment, coffee and cakes were all lovely~ sitting in the opposite lot from the till. Was lucky to have the whole place to myself. Would recommend for couples to take some insta-worthy photos! Ladies at the till were adorable hahaha. Will be back ~

The son was working that day. He was telling how mum had made the soup. Everything is made with care and love. The coffee, the food, the cake, the decor, everything was delicious. Been there many times and each time feels like a little holiday away!

This was a real find on our holiday, and I would recommend you book this in advance. The staff were so welcoming and did everything to ensure we were looked after. The food was the best we had on our holiday. If you enjoy seafood then this is a must stop.

Staying in the town for a couple of days and been largely disappointed with food we got so far but... This place saved the day. Really top class food, plenty of fresh fish options and manageable price range. Roast Beef €20. Steak €33. Fish €23 to €37. Starters for around €10 including Tempura Prawns and Pate. Good dining experience, large portions, it was excellent. Would love to go back.

Another visit on our weekend visit to west Cork. Another absolutely delightful experience. We hadn’t booked but the fella in charge found us a table as long as “we brought plenty of money and the deeds to our house!” This set the tone for the evening. Relaxed, friendly and charming service with plenty of banter. The food was superb also. Terrine of Clonakilty Puddings - tick, goats cheese - tick and the Calamari “one of the freshest and best ever tasted “ main courses of fish pie and Union Hall haddock kept up the standard. With a bottle of wine we spent about €45 per person. An absolutely perfect evening. Thank you.

We sat at the bar, full of atmosphere and buzz. Local oysters, hake and crab claws washed down with perfectly poured Murphy’s. A proper institution and rightly so!! We’ll be back!

I was there last Friday have to say really enjoy it the Black and White pudding in tomato chunky was lovely would love the recipe to that..The Black Sole was amazing as was the icecream sunday..Hopefully be back for more..

The steak was cooked perfectly, made with high-quality ingredients, and really tasty. However, the prices are too high, and I expected a wider selection of fish dishes. The menu, atmosphere, and service feel a bit confusing. I’m not quite sure what type of restaurant this is trying to be.

Delicious dining experience! Firstly the venue had a great buzzing atmosphere especially for a Wednesday night. It looked great. We had some great drinks. Now the star of the show, the food … fabulous tastes and flavour. Spicy Sushi and a lovely chicken and potato main which also had a great source. If you’re passing by, you have to eat there !!

Visited Whales Tail for Father's Day and it was exceptional. The menu has a good choice, but the food itself is piping hot, not warm, but hot. That's a plus in my books even before you taste it. The fish is excellent, local and fresh. Mocktails are a great addition to the menu, feels like a cheat treat. And the dads received chocolates as a special treat, a small but nice touch, it just shows the superb customer service. Thank you for a beautiful day.

We had such a lovely evening at Kirby’s The Whale’s Tail last night. I was dining with my daughter, and from start to finish the whole experience was second to none. The food was absolutely delicious, as were the cocktails! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the service friendly and attentive, a special thank you to Anne Marie and Denise who looked after us so well. It’s no wonder it’s a West Cork favourite. Highly recommend and looking forward to our next visit.

Visited recently for late lunch with friends, wow is an understatement. Every dish we had was amazing, I had lobster roll followed by the best lemon posset & finished off with lovely coffee. Staff were friendly & helpful, service was timed to perfection. Offers choice of indoor & outdoor dining, outdoor had sunshades, cushions & blankets, car park right next door. It has everything & everything was perfect. Highly recommend & will most definitely be back.

The Whales Tail Restaurant is exceptional. We have dined there on several occasions & it never disappoints. The food is excellent- have tried most dishes on the menu & have enjoyed everything. The attention to detail & combination of flavours is amazing. All staff are friendly & accommodating. 5 stars always

A group of four of us had dinner here on the weekend. It was very busy but our reservation was exact on time. The menu was excellent and the food fantastic. We all had a main and a dessert and the bill was under €150. Toilets very clean. Staff very friendly.

We went to Casey’s in Clonakilty for lunch and had a lovely experience. The service was fast, friendly, and genuinely helpful. We ordered the stir-fried vegetables with rice — a huge and tasty plate — along with fish, Cajun chicken, and burgers. Everything was delicious, with very generous portions. The place itself is fantastic, cozy and welcoming. A great spot to enjoy a satisfying meal in a relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Fab bar, really lovely set up.. the food was lovely and the service.. Stayed upstairs and it was great. Dinner was so good Friday we went back for sunday lunch.

Looking for a dog friendly place to eat on our recent trip to West Cork Caseys in Clonakilty popped up and what a great choice it was. Busy on a Wednesday evening is always a good sign so the 5 minute wait for a table wasn't an inconvenience. The pub is a fantastically laid out space with ample eating spaces whilst in no way cramped. Staff were so friendly and it's super dog friendly also judging by the bowl of water and 'pupochino' that were brought to Alfie after we had ordered our food. Food was great and staff so accommodating that it was a great choice, great value for money and will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

Had the salmon lunch today with traditional bread and butter pudding after. It was proper b&b pudding. None of this brioche, chocolate or orange rubbish. Excellent

Got a few options for vegans as they do cashew cheese. Two options I could see for vegans the usual tomato and cheese pizza and vegetarian. Just ask to swap the cheese. They also do toasties which are delicious! Cajun seasoned which was yum. Everything tasted good.

I've been here 3 times now while travelling with work and I've yet to have a bad pizza! There doesn't seem to be a bad choice on the menu and the pricing is pretty fair! I'd advise sitting in upstairs and take advantage of some chilli oil on your pizza! The staff are very nice and bring the pizza and your beverage of choice upstairs to you. You can also sit on the street front with the tables provided, take away or have it delivered.

Lovely pizza, I would have liked a few more options- like anchovies olives capers... but was delighted to have pineapple option!!

We decided to try this place after having explored a few other restaurants during the week. Admittedly we weren't expecting much except for a typical fast food pizza but we were pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste that they delivered. The pizza is leagues ahead of anything served by the typical American pizza chains. I would happily eat here again

We had Wonderful pizza here yesterday while listening to a great brass band at the clonakilty old time fair. We had eaten there the previous weekend also and the kids thought the doughballs were to die for. 2 very good experiences If you like good pizza then this has to be the best place in West cork

We were traveling around in out Campervan. We stayed the night in the carpark beside the community centre. We eat outside as the weather was fabulous. The Pizza's were very tasty. They were a good size and everything freshly cooked. We also had the Cider. Would recommend this place to eat.

What an astonishing meal! I never imagined that I would enjoy the shahi paneer, the Tarka dahl and the garlic naan that we ordered on that rainy night so much. My girlfriend and I went into Mirch Masala for the first time while visting... the food was amazing, the naan and rice was lovely and super fresh. Waiter was complimentary and of good service. The chefs clearly care for the dishes they serve! 10/10 experiance!

The food here was super delicious and the service over the top. The owner Tanya was really polite and kind. Warmth from the owners adds a special touch to the experience. We tried aloo tikki, dal tadka and tandoori roti, everything was scrumptious. If we come back to Ireland I will come back to Mirch Masala

Lovely evening meal. Went on a Monday evening. Food was fantastic; we had poppadoms, starters, mains and rice. The only items that weren’t GF were the naans. The service was amazing, our waiter was very helpful and clearly understood about the dietary requirements. The food came really quickly, and clear that it was fresh food that was made to order. Popped in for a takeaway, pretty odd that they don't have any fish on especially when we're so close to the sea? Chips were decent but nowt to write home about, and the battered sausage was tasty, but a bit on the smaller side from what I'm used to. €8 seemed a bit steep too for sausage and chips, but I get that prices have gone up everywhere. All things considered, if you're in Clonakilty, and you fancy a bag of chips, then these are certainly enjoyable, but if you're craving a top tier fish and chips and you've got transport, then head up to Rosscarbery Traditional Fish and Chips ten minutes up the road.

This was my first time in Clonakilty. We were looking for some fast food to bring to the nearby Inchydoney beach. We found this place in town. My first impression was wow the kitchen was like brand new spotless. And theres a washroom that you can use. I did not have to wait too long although people kept coming as the guys were working really hard and everything was made on order. Generous portions.

This place has definitely lost the run of itself with greed charging €5.00 for a small chips and €6.50 for a portion of onion rings. Plenty of other options in the area. Not surprised to see nobody eating in there on a Saturday afternoon with the town buzzing

The young lad with glasses at the cashier was friendly and helpful. Freshly fried chips and chicken was lovely, although they did slap the teensiest bit of coleslaw in a paper box, which ended up all over me... I would however come back to try other things!

Nice clean sit in chippy. WOT no fish!, seems to cater for the younger types that don't have fish and chips like I do. Still it was very very good 👍 👌

The food is easily 10/10! Superb fresh real potato chips and a very tasty fresh chicken burger. The food is not too cheap, 4 euro for a portion of chips but I must say the portions are huge and one bag of chips can easily feed 2 people, and just tastes amazing.

Really really bad food. Ended up here for a hen party booked through a 3rd party company. Was gutted at the really low quality food for the sake of our lovely bride and the group. We had a set menu but all the main courses came out and it was as if they had microwaved yesterdays carvery - even the fish was tough and rubbery. The beef was almost un-cuttably tough. Ordered wine for the group but they only had two bottles of each kind of wine. It was a bank holiday weekend in a hotel restaurant so I was surprised they weren't better stocked. Weeks earlier, I had also asked to move our booking an hour later as we had accidentally been booked in too early but they said they were booked out and couldn't accomomdate. That was fair enough, except on the night the restaurant was empty apart from us and two other guests, for the entire time. On a positive note, the waiting and bar staff couldn't have been lovelier.

Service was fine but allocated table for four to party of five. Fish and chips ordered - missing lemon, chips not cooked properly and mushy peas were minty & minuscule. Prawn Thai noodles had about 6-7 small prawns. Nice venue, nice waiter - food lacking. Wouldn’t recommend.

This used to be a great place to eat but my latest visit was disappointing. I want to beleive it was due to winter season. But the food quality should not depend on that! Also the service was not as amazing as before. I will go back later this year and if they are back on track I adjust the rating.

Met by Manager on arrival, told he had table reservedand needed table for 6pm. After a long wait, 45 mins, food was very poor and cool. Three waitresses behind the bar and service on the floor unacceptable. This restaurant needs a big shake up in all departments

Stopped for lunch with family of 4. They "forgot" to put through our order and only informed us after letting us wait for 40 mins. Was told that it would take another 20 mins. We left hungry. Lack of humility and hospitality

Had a great time celebrating a birthday. Reception and service was almost perfect aside from a single miscommunication. Food was great, with only the baked potatoes being overcooked. All in all I would recommend, a great place to relax.

This is one of the nicest places to eat at this part of West Cork. It is located right in the centre of clonality town and it has a very nice atmosphere, The staff are very nice and the food is of excellent quality. You can get tapas here also and the menu is varied. They have an ample selection of wines to choose from also. I would highly recommend a visit to this place for dinner and I would recommend booking in advance especially if you're visiting on weekends.

My husband and I were wandering around Clonakilty and found Mollys by pure chance. What a gem located in the Recorder's Alley. The place is super cozy and have a great atmosphere, perfect for yo catch up with friends or a date. First thing that caught my eye was the wine wall with endless options of good wine from around the world. They also make cocktails with the special of the week. The food is tapas menu, which we absolutely loved. We tried the vegetarian nachos (they also have them with meat) and the mix board (with cheese, hummus, olives, basil, relish, and different meats- chorizo, ham, etc). They have a Mediterranean one with salad, hummus and carrots and pita bread. By the way, I was delighted when I saw they have gluten free crackers and bread. They were other dishes on the menu we didn't try but everything looks amazing in the tables around. For dessert, I had the gluten free carrot cake, and omg! It is probably the best one I have ever had. Sweet but not overly sweet, the frosting melted in the mouth and the cake itself was spongy and delicious. My husband went for the waffles with chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream following the advised of Sarah. Speaking of her, what a nice person! She went beyond and above to have a table for us (even tho they were very busy and booked), made us feel super welcome and kept and eye on us at all times. She was very professional, funny and someone you would love to have around all the time. Thank you so much for everything, you were amazing!!!! We can't wait to be back!

Stunning little wine bar-had the most amazing cheese board! Staff incredibly friendly. Comfortably set up for solo travellers which is difficult to find in rural Ireland-I was thrilled to find such a gem! Will spread the word.

We spent a lovely evening with friends at Molly’s chatting, sharing delicious food wine. The atmosphere was perfect, cosy yet very spacious at the table it was fab and very reasonably priced. Absolutely worth a visit, I would recommend making a reservation in advance.

Great place for sharing plates and fantastic selection of beers, wines and anything else as the off license is attached. The food was extremely good quality and beautifully presented. Highly recommend.

We had a party here of 18 people, fab setting with live Spanish music. The team especially Siobhan were so helpful. We had a lovely night and the food (esp the nachos) was so tasty and the staff were prompt and friendly. Def will be back

Looks great, lots of choices when you go in. Unfortunately I only had time for coffee so can't make any comments on food. The coffee was quite weak.

A great shop with some cracking produce available, their soda bread is easily some of the best in town, highly recommended.

This unassuming little cafe serves hands down the best lunch in town. Take a look at their simple roast lamb lunch special. Mmmm. It even tastes better than it looks! Don’t be in a hurry. Enjoy your lunch and have a nice chat with the locals.

Great restaurant with nice and elegant atmosphere and very friendly service. The food is delicious but a little pricier than average. The vegetable pasta and falafel appetizer and burger are very tasty and well seasoned, which is often not the case for vegetarian meals. Waiting time was a little long but it was a busy Saturday evening at the restaurant. Definitely worth a visit if you are in town looking for good food.

We had a great meal here. We had ‘Dirty Chicken Wings’ for starters. Very nice and sticky. Nothing special though. Mains was a duck dish which was delicious and perfectly proportioned. My other half is very fussy about her food and gave the pork belly dish a serious thumbs up. Cheesecake was yum but the creme brûlée was overset. Staff were very nice and chatty which I like. The ambience was unusual with an electronic voice greeting our entrance. Prices were on the expensive side but then its Ireland and food prices have gone up in general. Overall an enjoyable experience with the potential to be really great.

Found this gem of a place by luck whilst visiting the area. You are greeted by friendly staff who are so helpful with everything. The food was excellent quality and cooked perfectly. Really worth booking a table, which again was so easy to do. We can't wait to visit again.

Great restaurant. Varied menu for all ages and tastes. Good quality ingredients, super service all at a reasonable price. Pot of mussels to start was delicious and the Seabass was, as recommended on another post for this restaurant, very, very good.

My only complaint is that this beautiful, top class restaurant is too far away to go as often as we'd like too. Five stars minimum!! Fantastic place, highly recommend if your in Clonakilty town.

Excellent service, with good food from an eclectic menu. Food was hot to the last bite, playfully presented on hot plates. Great for a date night, or dinner with friends and family. Something on the menu for everyone. Will be returning!

I lived in Thailand for 20 years and I can say that this place definitely serves authentic Thai food! The food is really delicious, full of flavor, and top quality! I definitely recommend eating at Baan Sujittra in Clonakilty :) The owner is also super friendly!

I wasn’t so sure about a Thai food recommendation from an Irish person. But this place is divine! We ordered the Pad Thai and the Panang Curry and we didn’t leave a bit! So delish! I highly recommend if you like flavorful food!

This Thai restaurant is amazingly good!! Declan, the owner is always there to make sure everybody is well looked after!! The food is very authentic, and very good portions! Its a very cosy restaurant, somewhere you could sit for hours having a drink after your meal in the comfortable surroundings!!

Food here is consistently excellent. Great food excellent staff the good thing about it is that the take away food is still hot when I bring it home as I am around 10 to 15 minutes from the restaurant

Went for a networking brunch. Evidently the restaurant was the easiest to make arrangements with. The food was excellent, with little modifications perfectly accommodated. We could take our time chatting, and we all agreed this was a little gem. Oh, and lots of parking, too.

I had the chicken and broccoli bake with a side salad, it was delicious. I always love their salads because it’s not just a bunch of lettuce and tomato thrown into a bowl, it actually has dressing, carrots, seeds and cucumbers. One thing I will say is I wish the bake could have been a little thicker.

Fernhill House Hotel is the most amazing wedding venue we could have ever wished for. It’s hard to leave a review for Fernhill House Hotel that gets across how incredible it and all of the staff are. We got married here last month, during a weather warning, and to say they went above and beyond for us is an understatement. If you are considering booking here for your wedding, it will be the best decision you make. Nothing was a problem, from extra Prosecco at the drinks reception, to the one of the brothers, Neil coming to the church in sideways rain because he was worried one of us forgot a bouquet, to one of the other brothers, Michael making us a ham sandwich at 3AM. The Frank Sinatra of barmen, Michael, kept the fun going all weekend! Michael Sr and Theresa are the most lovely, welcoming people, even joining the wedding for a dance. Shay is an amazing waiter, the guests were never short a top up! Ellie, Ann and Laura are wonderful wedding coordinators/event managers, with nothing being too big a task, even 240 place cards and photos! It’s not like any other hotel I have ever been to, they welcome you into their home and really care about each wedding and guest. We had the absolute best weekend in Fernhill. The food/rooms/gardens are amazing but it really is the people that make it. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts, Jill and Bruce Hayes

The most magical venue we could have ever dreamed of for our wedding in August. Not only are Fernhill House & Gardens absolutely beautifully kept, the family behind all its warm hospitality and the team taking care of its guests are absolutely incredible. Very professional and efficient yet friendly and welcoming, we were amazed by how smooth our wedding went. If we could give more than 5 stars we would! Starting with Ellie our wedding coordinator, who was so helpful from start to finish, always with a smile (and a lot of calm which the bride needed)! Ellie went above and beyond on the day to help us create the decor we had envisioned, and I don’t know how I would have survived that morning without her. The best wedding coordinator I have ever met, she clearly was born to plan fairytale weddings (and handle stressed brides)! Herself and Neil were present all throughout the celebrations to help with all the little details and many guests commented on how well taken care of they had felt. And how delicious the food was of course! We feel so blessed to have had our special day at Fernhill and we will be back for sure ❤️

My wife and I had a great 2 nights stay in this beautiful hotel. All the staff we encountered were very pleasant and helpful. Brian, Tara and Holly were really excelled in the bar and restaurant. The hotel is family owned and family run and guests get that comfortable feeling all over the hotel. We stayed in room 139 which was big and airy and beautifully decorated. A guided tour of the gardens and history of the house we given by Michael Jnr and that was most enjoyable. Well done to all involved and keep up the great work. We will be back.

Absolutely fell in love with this hotel! The atmosphere, the colours, the furnishings—everything was just stunning. We stayed for two nights while attending a family wedding and felt thoroughly spoiled the entire time. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel so welcome. The food was delicious, and the grounds were beautifully kept—perfect for a peaceful stroll. Honestly, what’s not to love? Can’t wait to come back!

Simply Stunning ! I had a 2 night stay on a work trip and very very happy I got to stay here. Such a great place, lovely grounds and fantastic rooms. Great bar and lovely food. The breakfast was lovely with lots of choices! I even had a Guinness with the family owners. Certainly recommend this stunning place to everyone !

We stayed at Fernhill for a wedding of our dear friends. It was the most charming venue for a wedding I have ever seen. The property is idyllic, the food was delicious, the staff pulled off the most gorgeous ceremony. You can’t believe the bridal suite and the brides room. It’s like a dream. I 100% recommend this property to any couple getting married and I would return for a pleasure stay in the future.

Stayed here recently, most acceptable on the whole, a few points to improve on. The reception we received upon check in was tidy, but it was lacking a sense of the guest being important, like a welcome drink. We were given a room that had only just been opened after a full refurbishment. That was a most pleasant surprise. We loved the bedroom, the decor, the cosy, home feel, the substantial size and pleasing bathroom. That's what made other details not in keeping. Such as, there were no biscuits with the tea, no herbal tea, cheap instant coffee, no magazine and rough sheets and uncomfortable pillows. Those things, for us, when they are done properly, make a stay much more enjoyable. Soundproofing not great, do bear in mind. There was a small patio, garden with it, which was very tastful. Food is an excellent standard. Breakfast was small but a good offering. Fruit salad was dreadful. Pancakes on the kitchen menu would have been appreciated. Gardens are delightful to walk in. Overall we would return but they need to consider those extra details to make the paying guest feel more special and valued.

We popped in for lunch this afternoon and were super impressed. Really friendly staff, fresh tasty food, the pizza and falafel were great. We'll definitely be back.

I had fish and chips, they offer a grilled option for those who don't want the fried fish - it was so tasty! Great to see a healthier option available. Lovely staff, welcoming and clean place, would recommend.

Lovely food and staff, good location with plenty of seating room. Pictured are Steak Sandwich (w/chips & garlic mayo) and Chicken Stir Fry. Desserts - Pavlova and Oreo Cheesecake. Wholehearted recommendation for the Steak Sandwich - steak was perfectly done and not chewy and it it went great with mushrooms and onions inside. The side of chips were delicious and perfectly seasoned, well paired with lovely garlic mayo. Pavlova was really lovely and went well with complimentary ice cream and sticky toffee sauce. Cheesecake is a good choice if you like mild cheese flavor and creaminess, lovely with ice cream. Nice spot for a quick bite, brunch or coffee and dessert with reasonable prices. Recommend!

I went to this restaurant after reading the google reviews and I must say that I was not disappointed at all. The food was amazing because all seafood dishes pasta, chowder, prawn curry etc. amazing food and service was good. Highly recommended!!

Our favourite place to get brunch on a Sunday since it opened. Since then it's become a family favourite as we've been bringing our daughter since she said as small and the service for kids is excellent. The changing facilities are the best I've seen anywhere and the staff are always great. They have plastic cups, plates etc. and a great kids menu. The food overall is excellent, especially their specials at Christmas. I took every opportunity to go there last December as their Christmas egg Benedict would probably be my death row meal. For gluten free I find them attentive and their staff well informed. The selection available from the menu is good and I've never had an issue eating here gluten free 😊

Nice and cozy place with a quick service and super friendly staff. Menue offers several dishes, which is actually much better than having a huge variety of dishes to sink there. I ordered Avocado eggs, it was delicious 😋, although price was little higher than I expected (€16). Overall, I paid €23 and left fully satisfied with everything.

I had an absolutely delightful experience at Bert’s restaurant. A prime location in the heart of Clonakilty, with free car parking a stone throw away. I ordered the pulled BBQ beef burger, a true masterpiece! One of the tastiest burgers I have ever had. To top it all off, I shared the loaded wedges with my friend as a birthday treat, and to my surprise the entire staff and the other guests sang me happy birthday! The interior of the restaurant was fabulous and the atmosphere was very welcoming. The bathrooms were very clean and modern! The staff were so attentive and friendly, even modifying my friends order who wanted no tomatoes in her pesto chicken ciabatta, with no hassle at all! The coffee was delicious, I will be running in for takeaway coffees when passing in the future. Berts truly offers something for every palate. This is a must-visit destination for all foodies! I can’t wait to return to try more items on their menu. 🤤

We've been to berts about 5 times now and every time It is just the best experience. The staff are so helpful and friendly, the restaurant is lovely and clean and the food is honestly some of the nicest we have ever had, every time we come here. We traveled over an hour from the city today and it's always worth the journey!

Food was really, really good. Something different to every other brunch spot. A refreshing menu and everything was cooked perfectly. We got there as it opened and entered with another 5/6 groups. Food was still prompt and hot. Mimosas were also a really nice touch and staff were friendly. Will be back

Had a yummy singapore rice noodles meal and take away tempura king prawns. Opening hours say Mon-Sun 1pm-10.30pm but not sure if they close Tuesdays. Clean, pleasant staff, benches not seats. The food makes it worth it.

The asian food was good, the setting a bit cold.

Malaysian curry is knorr. The chicken is powdered chicken I know this from working in a Chinese before. Sweet chilli chicken is hard and the ribs were like hard cardboard. Don't even know how this place has 4.7 stars on reviews.

Really good food. The service is varying as it is very young and inexperienced waitresses. I also noticed that the the glass hanging over the bar and also the glass I got served was very dirty. So, I can recommend the place if dirty glasses and waitresses running around like headless chickens don't put you off. I don't mind and will probably come back.

One of the best coffees I’ve had in West Cork. I’ve picked up some delicious Stone Valley coffee beans here that have been brilliant for brewing at home, and I’ve noticed a few other great spots using their beans too. The atmosphere is always relaxed and the staff are not only skilled baristas but super friendly. Highly recommended if you’re in Clon at any stage!

I spent 5 weeks in Clonakilty- I went to this coffee shop every single day. Not only was the cappuccino amazing, but these baristas know their coffee. They were so welcoming! Was able to chat with them most mornings. Can’t wait to go back during my next trip! My mornings just won’t be the same without the extra shot cappuccino and extra hot! Thanks for the caffeine boost!!! Amazing

I stumbled upon this coffee shop while exploring the neighbourhood and is unquestionably, one of the best coffee shops in Ireland! The baristas are skilled and passionate about their craft. I really appreciated the little details, like the latte art on my cup. Five stars from me!

The best place in Ireland for you found a incredible coffee ☕. For Brazilians you can found a great coffee for grinder and the best? The guys grinding your coffee for the method you want, v60, aeropress, espresso machine, doesn't matter you can choose and the guys will be grinding your coffee. And to be honest, I'm deeply following in love for the Holy Roller, is a bit sweet but the chocolate flavours is unique, and the Stone Valley roasting the coffee, so you can smells and see the difference, I found basically a Irish version of Isabela Raposeiras, only missing the Coffee Lab Brazilian for seating and enjoy my cup of coffee ☕

No slice of lemon, with fish and chips. The fish was from the fridge freezer. It would be nicer if it had fresh fish.

Ordered online around 10:30 got a message pop up saying my order was cancelled and I will receive my refund in 3-5 business days it has now been 8 days no refund in my account:) we also had to pay an additional 30€ up front for the food they cooked which wasn’t even up to standard. Very disappointing, and the owner lied straight to my face when confronted. Do not eat there!!

Went here recently, I do not recommend. The tables were dirty. One of which was occupied by a delivery driver and all his junk so I and my partner had to sit on the windowsill. Was waiting about half an hour for a burger and chips. The southern fried chicken burger was disgusting. The buns weren't toasted, the chicken itself was cold, had a stale, plasticky texture, and there was a mountain of strong cheddar cheese in the burger which was just an awful combination. The chips I got were okay, but that's kind of the bare minimum tbh. Do not go here til they get their act together. Go to The Chunky Chip, Oak Fire, AbraKebabra or Giovanni's.

The food from here is delicious, especially the onion rings. The chips are great also . The dips are great. My son loves the milk shakes. Slightly more expensive ,but the reason why is evident when you taste the top quality of the food. Highly recommend.

Just ordered for the first time from Spud Lane. Order came 30 minutes earlier than indicated on the Just Eat app. Best fish & Chips I’ve had since moving to Cloni. This is our new go to place for take outs!!!! Well done guys!!

An absolute must in Clonakilty! It manages to combine a cozy, friendly atmosphere with fabulous service and comfortable seating. The breakfasts I have had here are second to none, with proper portion sizes and something for everyone on the menu. I have to shout-out the buttermilk pancakes, delicious! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This café is an absolute gem. Tucked away behind a charming gift shop, it offers amazing food, wonderful hospitality, and a really beautiful atmosphere. The service is incredibly friendly, I spent an hour waiting for my daughter, holding on to one coffee until we then had breakfast, with an amazing variation on the traditional Irish breakfast with black pudding. And then we simply stuck around, later moved to have an amazing lemon and raspberry cake. This is the best possible place to just have breakfast, read a newspaper, go with your kids, meet a friend, or just chill out with a book and some amazing food. Easily one of the best places in Clonakilty. I can only recommend it wholeheartedly.

The side area for the kids is great. Coffees are very delicious. Cakes okay. The only little minus is, when you come later the tables are not very clean. Hopefully this will be better in the future because it is really a nice coffee in Clonakilty

The best place in West Cork for fantastic coffee and a slice of cake (A+ cookies as well, if you prefer something crunchy). Servers are helpful and speedy, happy to recommend something if you can't decide :D

Great daytime cafe with a craft shop out the front. GF options on bread and cakes. Delicious tomatoes soup and toastie sandwiches with great fillings. Staff helpful and friendly. Some outdoor seating also.

Beautiful little bar. Has that "Cheers" feeling when you walk in the door, where very quickly everyone knows your name and treats you like family. For my very first beer my dad brought me to a bar just like this, and I always seek them out wherever in the world I am. The reason I love a few pints on my days off is a bar like this.

Called in here one weekday afternoon with my cousin, who seemed to know everyone. It's a great Irish pub in a great Irish town. Seems to be very popular with a lot of friendly regulars drinking here. It's a nice atmosphere, and nice friendly bar staff.
