Disclaimer: This review was for a Yelp Elite event in conjunction with Caffe Luxxe. First off thank you @CaffeLuxxe & @YelpLA for the opportunity to revisit and rediscover a great neighborhood experience. Sarah, Julia and the westside Elite team did a solid! Caffe Luxxe is a European style cafe that focuses on artisanal coffee. Their beans are curated well and staff appears highly trained. The space is small, with limited seating. I rode my scooter and parked right outside. The lines kept on growing on a Wednesday late morning, so there isn't a right or wrong time to visit. What I deeply appreciate is the menu has limited options by intention, and while customizations for milk, sweetness, allergies are possible, the emphasis seems to be on showcasing the few things that they do best. Katie was a one-woman army, handling a battalion of customers, while being pleasant and not rushing anyone. I couldn't have a long chat but got to know her favorite is the americano - gotta try it next time. She recommended a hot latte with oat milk, and since I wanted less sweet, presented me with an unsweetened option. The latte was decent, definitely better than your blue bottle or other third wave coffee, but the real show stopper was their brewed coffee. I sampled their light roast, a full bodied floral single-origin from Guatemala with tasting notes of sweet tangerine, dark cherry, blackberry and cacao nibs. I was blown away as the quality of batch brewed was better than most pour overs. The fact that they were able to extract true to tasting notes is no small feat. I will definitely be back to try the other 3 brewed coffees. They have a small display of croissants, cinnamon buns, cakes and cookies. While I didn't have time to sample these, the blueberry cake, hazelnut cake with almond butter and chocolate croissant looked inviting. Something for next time to complement the brewed coffee. Overall, despite the shi shi vibe of Brentwood, this is a Tip: If you're not feeling like a milk-based beverage, ask for a sample of one of their 4 brewed coffee's. Tip: Park in the lot with access to from 26th st, get 1 hour validation. Or better yet, ride a scooter or bike.

Cafe Luxxe on San Vicente is one of those spots that gets the details right. The coffee is excellent—their house blend is rich and balanced, and the chai latte is one of the best in the area, perfectly spiced without being overly sweet. Beyond the drinks, they offer a thoughtful selection of pastries, always fresh and consistently good—perfect for a quick bite alongside your cup. I also appreciate the small corner of convenience items you don’t usually see in a café, like quality mustard, olives, and olive oil. It adds a touch of European market charm to the place. Overall, it’s a café that feels both elevated and inviting, whether you’re grabbing your morning coffee, lingering over a pastry, or picking up a few gourmet pantry staples to take home.

Very busy establishment, line wraps around the inside of the store. It has enough seating for anyone who wants to study or hangout. Most of their customers are to go orders, which leaves the seats wide open. The baristas were nice and knocked out orders pretty fast. I orderd the Latte Amore, it has chocolate covered strawberry with every bit of rich and smooth flavors as possible. Not too sweet which I like.

This place is busy!!! Saturday at 11:30ish and the line is out the door. Let's jump right into this review. This Caffee Luxxe is located in a shopping center off of San Vicente Blvd. Parking is validated if you park in the lot - lot is small. Metered street parking available. Parking may be a challenge depending on time of day. What did we have - Luxxe Engery × 2 - burst of natural caffeine - not overly sweet, but great taste, you can taste the caffeine shot in there. Coffee with Almond Milk Cold Foam - unfortunately, I don't know what this is that I ordered but it was coffee with almond cold foam. My son said the cold foam was delicious, coffee was OK. Almond Butter ... - I only remember Almond Butter, but it is a pastry of some sort - interesting taste and texture, reminds me of bread pudding. Not for me. The pastries were beautifully displayed, labeled, and looked good. Taste will vary. It cost $6.25 - steep price for a bite size pastry. Pros 1. Busy but employees were moving the line quickly. Customer service, pleasant and professional. **Know what you want and be ready to order. ** I felt overwhelmed because I was trying to explain what I wanted and me and the Barista just couldn't understand each other. I wanted a spritz and ended with coffee w/ cold foam. My son took the coffee with cold foam and I took his engery tea. It ended well. 2. Indoor and outdoor seating. Clean and well lit, large windows for natural lighting. 3. Unique spin on coffees and teas. Pastries available along with yogurts. Cons 1. Parking may be a challenge. Lot is small. You either pay or get your ticket validated. For all my coffee lovers, Caffe Luxxe is an upscale coffee experience. Just make sure you know what you ordering/trying because that will change your taste bud experience. Enjoy :)

Yum yum very good quality place. My cafe latte was perfect and the almond croissant was wonderful, not too sweet. Great place and nice staff!

Caffe Luxxe is totally 'not a stranger' for me as I used to stay less than 10-minute walk away from their Brentwood outlet. I probably picked not the most right timing this last visit, as it's super busy at Sunday noon with long line. The baristas were super helpful though to try speed things up. Super excited that they had their limited-time Vanilla cold brew with lavender cream top. I usually always went for either their Shakerato or Caramello, but I would say their cold brew was delightful being super smooth with clean after taste. That lavender foam on top would surely bring me back as it's not heavily creamy like atypical cream toppings. It was super light and I was sold to the dairy-free option, for which mine was almond! As for the light bite to accompany my coffee, I tried their hazelnut cake with almond butter. Quite pricey being at $6.5 for the petite size, but tasted pretty decent despite not as 'hazelnut-y' as I expected.

😞I rarely give negative reviews, but both the service and coffee at this cafe were disappointing. I was just passing by and was attracted by the beautiful storefront, wanting to try it out. I noticed the "Autumn Anniversary Blend" coffee, which as a seasonal anniversary edition, should have been quite good. After ordering, the staff simply poured a cup from the coffee urn, placed it on the counter without saying a word, leaving me uncertain if this was even my order. While I could tolerate the above issues, the taste of the coffee was simply undrinkable. It was extremely acidic, like coffee brewed in the morning and left until evening—no coffee aroma whatsoever, just a vinegar-like sourness. I paid $6 but got coffee comparable to what you'd find at a 7-11. I believe that if it's called "Autumn," it should have the flavors and feeling of fall; if it's called "Anniversary," it should have the aroma a commemorative coffee should possess. If it weren't for the name, I might not have cared as much. 💡Please show more smiles and patience to each customer. I understand staff may have emotions at work, but customers entering such a beautiful shop usually don't come with negative attitudes. If you're only serving ordinary coffee, please don't use such iconic names—I largely ordered this coffee because of its name, but it really wasn't good.

This should be a place I go to often because it has healthy options for burritos and more. Unfortunately, the spinach and goat cheese burrito with vegan sausage was super bland. All I could taste was the goat cheese. And the staff seemed nonplussed, at best. There’s a large patio out back, with a great view of trash dumpsters, and the pleasant aroma of nearby smokers. With so many coffee shop options in the area, I recommend trying other places.

Ordered “Organic Oatmeal” and strong small cappuccino. Sister had Açai Bowl and Turmeric Latte. First of all, they serve everything in to go packaging, even when you’re eating in. Sooo much garbage why? Just to save doing the dishes? Don’t tip. There is no table service. Order and pick up is from the counter. The oatmeal was super dry and caked. When I went in to ask for some hot milk to make the cold oatmeal edible they pointed me to the coffee milk jug on the takeout counter. When I said, that would make my breakfast colder, the stoned dude behind the counter said, “no it won’t.” I asked again for hot milk and got charged $1.05. The coffee was foamy but like soap not smooth. The turmeric latte was just powder dumped onto a latte. The Açai bowl was frozen. The outdoor seating was a chain link concrete parking lot next to huge garbage bins. This a place trying to live off of its name and historic relationship to skaters but it’s like McDonald’s and a trailer park had a kid, threw some RayBans on the toddler and pushed it behind a counter -“go on kid. Make the people some breakfast.”

Simple but delicious Goes for both, the hot mocha and the Bay Street slider. Nothing fancy but the basics done right Cool space to chill with your laptop and they have much more seating on the side and back. Will definitely be back to try some of their treats and more breakfast menu items!

This was an awful experience from start to finish. The cashier was rude and dismissive, making me feel like I was a problem just for ordering. He also told me the only option left was a gluten-free bagel, without ever mentioning that it would cost more. Only when I got the bill did I see an extra $2.50 per bagel tacked on - no warning, no explanation, nothing. On top of that, the bagel itself was terrible. Dry, bland, and barely touched with cream cheese. For the inflated price they charged, I expected at least something edible. Between the rude service, the sneaky upcharge, and the disappointing food, I’ll never come back. Absolutely not worth it.

I was greeted by a lady telling me that they were closing in a few minutes. Ok, fair… I understand wanting to go home after a long shift. I quickly ordered a pumpkin spiced coffee which was pretty good and a plain bagel with cream cheese, which was unfortunately burned to a rock hard crisp and inedible. Since I unfortunately placed my order right before closing, when I returned to try to get a refund the employee was walking out and didn’t acknowledge me. I’m a local but will be looking for another coffee shop to frequent

Great little coffee shop in Santa Monica. The coffee is solid but I can’t speak for the food as I didn’t eat anything. The highlight is the seating area outside. Lots of space to hang out and enjoy your morning. Service is polite and efficient.

The coffee is decent. There is no such thing as service here. We stayed a block away for a week and not once did they open on time. Luckily im on vacation, but to people who want coffee before work, this could leave you stranded. We ordered a cookie yesterday and asked for it to be heated up. The clerk took someone elses existing order out of the warmer, scratched through their name, and wrote ours. It was the wrong item. They swappped it out, but all of this could have been avoided to begin with by not being lazy.

During our vacation, we visited Coffee Cielo three times and had a great experience every time! For our first two visits, we enjoyed coffee and breakfast. On our third visit, we simply relaxed by the pool with their delicious iced coffee. I highly recommend this place to both locals and visitors who love coffee. It's a fun and inviting spot to hang out and enjoy a great cup of coffee.

I had brunch at Espresso Cielo and it was an amazing experience. The staff is very friendly, and the place has a cozy, welcoming vibe. The coffee was delicious — we enjoyed cappuccinos with oat milk alongside fresh orange juice. We ordered the American breakfast, the breakfast burrito, and the cheesy nachos, and everything was fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend for a relaxed brunch with great service and atmosphere.

A lovely place to spend your Sunday morning with a cup of high-quality coffee. ☕️ Interiors design is modern and spacious with plenty of sunlight coming through large windows. Perfect place to journal or meet with your friends before or after heading to a workout.

I had the cardamom latte in the morning & came back for a strawberry matcha later in the day and they were both top tier. The matcha was the best I've had in awhile!! 🍓🍵 food was okay, donut was bomb, service is standard. Definitely recommend!

This place is cute, easy, and has great coffee. We were in town for a few days and came back here for coffee every day. Their pastries and breakfast burritos were great too. They also have one of those zuMex orange juice machines and their orange juice was so good.

This cafe is simply amazing! There are so many tasty and healthy options. My favorite was the matcha latte with oat milk—it was incredibly delicious! The almond and butter croissants were also very nice. I highly recommend this place for a truly delightful experience. ❤️

I had left a review this morning about the customer service not being great. But this very kind white man with sliver hair was kind and I really appreciate it. He had remembered me from yesterday and that shows a lot! Very kind guy highly recommend his drinks they are very good:)

I have always enjoyed the coffee experience here! Though I live in Long Beach, I try to stop by every time I am in the area. We ordered matcha latte and iced latte. The ice cubes are made of coffee so the flavors stay the same after ices are melted! What a concept!

This isn't just a place to get coffee- this is an experience, if you are open to it. I encourage you to sit at the counter and watch them make your siphoned coffee. I've never seen anything like it. The owners are lovely and full of great info and are happy to talk to you about their beans, farming, history...etc. Their "menu" is a bit daunting, and their prices are not cheap, but don't be intimidated. Just enjoy! It's worth it. PS- I didn't have a chance to try any this time, but they are just as passionate and knowledgeable about their incredible tea selections. Can't wait to go back for tea!

Tldr: gong fu style brewing, good service, fair tea quality, good prices, will be back I was enormously pleased to find this place. I wasn't expecting it (if I had known I would have come sooner), but they brew gong fu style. A traditional Chinese method of tea preparation, the tea is brewed in a small vessel with a low water:tea leaf ratio and for shorter periods of time (typically starting with 10 sec for the first infusion). This allows you to enjoy the evolution of the tea flavor throughout the different infusions. While they didn't have a Yixing clay teapot, their ceramic tea set was beautiful, functional, and easy to use. For the multiple brews, they gave you a large pot holding the hot water. Imo, electric kettles accessible to customers is a better way to ensure the correct temperature for the different brews (though there are arguments against using reheated water), but the customer service was such that you could get a new pot of hot water pretty easily if you think your water cooled too much. There was no limit to the number of brews you could make or the time you wanted to spend with a pot of tea (which isn't always true with high quality tea houses). I ordered their New High Mountain tea, a Taiwanese oolong sourced from the Ali Shan mountains. This a greener oolong, and while I typically prefer my oolongs more oxidized, according to the description this tea can only be found in the US at Funnel Mill. Obviously, I couldn't resist. I am by no means a connoisseur, so the following description may not be 100% accurate and is limited to my vocabulary and taste buds. 1st infusion (depicted): the aroma of the tea leaves almost resembled a subtle spinach- a little bitter, a touch of mineral- combined with sweet grass. The tea itself was clean, light, and smooth on the tongue, grassy with no bitterness. There was a softness to the mouthfeel, but more powdery(?) rather than creamy or buttery. 2nd infusion: best infusion (unsurprisingly). There was more of a floral sweetness to this infusion, but not cloying like perfume. It was subtle and fresh like morning dew on petals. Liquor was more pigmented (green), but still beautifully clear. Generally, rather than a pronounced and distinct aftertaste, you are left with a refreshed feeling on the palate similar to pine or mint, but lacking harshness. I ended up getting 9 infusions from my tea leaves, which is a good amount and typically indicative of decent quality tea leaves. The first 3 infusions were the most enjoyable, but the subsequent brews were pleasant enough to continue drinking. I realized that for some of my infusions, I overfilled the brewing vessel so the tea came out a bit weaker than I'd like. I played around with 10s, 15s, 20s, and 25s brews (with increasing brew number), but eventually stuck to ~20s for the later brews. Brewing time does tend to be preferential, which is why I appreciate being able to make my own infusions. I still prefer more oxidized tea, so while it was good, this particular oolong was not my favorite. However, I look forward to another relaxing visit soon to try their other teas. Tea (camellia sinensis) prices were between $8-18, which is pretty good considering high quality tea houses typically start at $15-18 and go higher. Their coffees also smelled heavenly, even to this tea drinker.

I ordered the Mocha Latte CBD and it was one of the best lattes I've ever had, if not THE best. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I wanted to order 3 more cups, I will definitely be visiting again before my trip is over.

After we read great reviews, we were excited to try their coffee experiences. It’s probably because of Covid situation, but it wasn’t pleasant as much as we hoped. You have to order and pay from your phone, but it didn’t work smoothly and had to try few times to complete our order.. Atmosphere also looked different, only we could see were walls and widows. Coffee and Latte were pretty good, though..

The owner is amazing! She runs this place along with her partner for 15 years! Amazing choice of tea drinks! My fav is honeybosh (w almond milk, $7, smooth and sweet, perfect for rainy days and cozy evenings). Also, try ceremonial matcha and earl grey. Moreover, you can ask the owner to find rare sorts if tea and make you favorite drinks at home!

I have been meaning to check this place out for a while based on reviews, and I have to admit the prices scared me off a little (don't want to get addicted to an expensive taste). I am Glad I did. The coffee and teas are truly gourmet and exotic, not to mention tasty. The portions in themselves make the drinks worth the prices. My coffee came in a very large glass with choice of milk and sugar on the side. My friend got a chai latte, and the pot served 3 full glasses. Not to mention, we both agree it was some of the best coffee/tea we'd ever had. Icing on top is that it is all served to you at your table by the barista, along with a cup of water. The ambiance is super cute with comfy chairs, tables, and outlets everywhere. Great place to do work. I'll be back.

A decent cafe serving deli sandwiches. Expensive but not absurd, as one sandwich can probably feed 2 and comes with chips. The atmosphere is alright for a short meal but probably not great to sit and get work done if that’s what you intend. Service was good for sitting down. The sandwiches are really delicious, and they have some specialty coffees. Overall, it’s not hard to find a good specialty coffee shop in west LA, and Lo/Cal pulls its weight but doesn’t excel.

Very nice Coffee shop. Steve is an awesome guy, he and everyone else working here make you feel welcomed as soon as you walk in. The Matcha is great tasting also the breakfast sandwich is my go to. Thank you Lo/Cal, I really appreciate you guys and the warm welcome every time I walk in.

Such a lovely cool spot. Coffee was delicious and the food as well. We had an egg sandwich with everything, grilled with cheese, yum! And on top of that, customers service was top notch. Happy folks all the way around. And dog friendly!

One of the best cafes and bakeries in LA. Delicious coffee, delectable baked goods, and super friendly staff. You have to try the mini banana bread.. might honestly be the best ones ive ever had, will definitely be back just for that.

First time visiting this coffee shop and we loved it! I was worried that there wouldn't be much seating, but the outside area at the back of the shop was a true gem. Great selection of non-coffee menu options and my husband said his oat-milk latte was the best he's had in LA. We'll be back for sure!

I can’t speak highly enough about Lo/Cal Cafe on Pico in Santa Monica! This place has become my daily go-to spot, and it never disappoints. The honey lavender matcha and Chaga coffee are absolute favorites of mine. They’re crafted to perfection, and I can’t resist enjoying them every single day. One of the best things about Lo/Cal is the serene ambiance in the back, where I love to sit and unwind by the soothing waterfall. It’s the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, and I find myself in a state of relaxation every time I visit. The staff at Lo/Cal Cafe is genuinely friendly and welcoming. They create a warm and inviting atmosphere, making every visit feel like a treat. Not to mention, their food is fantastic! The menu boasts a delightful range of healthy and delicious options, and I’ve never been disappointed with anything I’ve tried. What makes this place even more special is that I know the owner personally, and he’s great! His passion for providing an exceptional experience shines through, and it’s evident that he cares deeply about the cafe and its patrons. Another huge plus is the free Wi-Fi they offer, which makes it a great spot for catching up on work or simply staying connected while enjoying their offerings. If you’re in Santa Monica and looking for a place that serves amazing drinks, offers a peaceful retreat, and has a top-notch team with an owner who genuinely cares, Lo/Cal Cafe is the place to be. I can’t recommend it enough, and it has easily become my favorite spot in the neighborhood!

This was a great cafe! We were in LA on vacation and this place was highly rated in the Santa Monica region, so we figured we’d stop by! And it did not disappoint!. Coffee was delicious and it was probably one of the best vanilla lattes I have had! The Magma Mocca was spicy, but also really good! I could see that they put a lot of effort and time into making these coffees🥰 I also love that we were actually given mugs for our coffee and not just a paper cup like so many cafes have resorted to using (because of convenience) after Covid! That elevates the coffee experience for sure! The food was also very good! They make everything right there in the front so you can see what they are doing! I also asked to swap out the meat in my burrito for bacon and they were very accommodating! The staff was also very nice and they all had a nice vibe with each other which made the over all vibe and feel of the store very friendly and welcoming! Vibes (decor) inside was very nice and I think sitting here with a up of coffee and a book would be such a vibe😊the outside had pick nick tables and higher tables with bar chairs. All in all, when I come to LA again I will definitely stop by!

This place has a great atmosphere and delicious coffee! Food smells amazing, and I love the funky coffee wallpaper on the back wall.That being said, do not come here if you are in a hurry. The employees were very kind, but 20 minutes for a cup of coffee almost made me late. I will Definitely come back here when I have more time to hang out and enjoy.

3/3 hidden coffee gem. I really enjoyed everything I got from this coffee shop. Delicious food, lattes and unsweetened cold tea. The space is lovely with indoor and outdoor seating. The service was fast even for the morning rush. I love their hot sauce that goes with the savory items (breakfast 🥐 and burritos). Yumlicious. Note to management find a way to bottle that hot sauce.

They have some amazing breakfast and pastry options. I loved the Black Forest ham sandwich I got. I was very underwhelmed by the $8 matcha.

Delicious drinks and yummy breakfast burritos, to be enjoyed in the indoor living room-esque seating area or outdoor high tables. Many people on their laptops here, they have fast WiFi so good for doing some work but not the most ergonomic seating. Parking is confusing, the lot was blocked by cones. I parked in the alley way — seemed okay? $27 for a burrito and two drinks + 15% tip 😳 Highly recommend the Gold Coast.

Their seasonal iced hazelnut latte was delicious. Nice, secluded vibe. However, parking is a little tricky. Apparently on the weekends the other businesses are closed so you can park in the lot (you just have to keep an eye on your car).

Stopped and bought some coffee after all that bread ! Right down the street a block away from laylas bagels ( by the way, Layla’s bagels have really good coffee as well but we wanted to try the shop also) ordered the Mary’s Cuban !!!’mm excellent flavor

I used to loved this place and I haven’t been in months, but last time was awful! I went there with another friend and we were waiting for a bigger group. While we were waiting I ordered a drink and I was working on my computer. At some point the place was empty and they started to cleaned out? -3 hours before closing time- They start blasting the music so loud and start aggressively cleaning the whole place and rudely grabbing my almost empty drink from the table. I was sitting next to the door and they kept opening and close it almost hitting me and dragging bags and bumping my table. As soon as more clients entered they stopped all sort of cleaning and lowered the music immediately to a normal volume. As soon as the rest of my friends arrived I ordered some drinks for them and spilled a little bit of coffee in the floor. I immediately grabbed a napkin and started cleaning and apologize to the person in the cashier. He couldn’t care less, he looked at me like I was rude and annoying him and just shoved past me to clean. I ended up leaving, not buying more stuff and just walking down the block to a more friendly environment. It used to be such a nice spot what a disappointment, I have never felt more uncomfortable drinking a coffee while trying to do some work in my computer.

I went here to get an espresso after hearing from a coworker that this place has good espresso. As I walk in, the tall gentleman with glasses was super welcoming but the older man with blonde highlights that was on bar seem indifferent. I ordered am espresso for here and when I got it, the glass was messy from the espresso he had poured from a paper cup to the glass. I got my drink and sat down. The espresso was delicious hinting dark chocolate and a little cranberry so when I was finished with my shot, I went to thank the older man that it was delicious. He was so dismissive and it made me feel thrown off by the way he didn’t bother to thank me for the compliment. He looked at me once and continued doing whatever he was doing and I walked away. I understand that everyone has bad days, however, as a barista myself, if a guest complimented my espresso: I would thank them. Also, if you don’t like what you do, look for a different area of work.

Great coffee shop in Santa Mónica! Service was quick and Great to work solo or meet someone. So many people had cute dogs too!

There is no love if you order dark roast. I was served medium roast. At 78, I certainly can discern the difference. Even the color is a tell. Telling me "that's as dark as it gets". He wanted to sell me another shot .I can't imagine how gross medium & dark would be mixed. First & last visit to this shop, where the customer is always wrong. Georgia Brown

Ordered a lavender mocha, latte, and americano for the group on a rainy Sunday morning. Pastries looked great, good vibes and lots of outdoor seating too. Very close to beach.

Their matcha latte is truly exceptional - creamy, smooth, and perfectly balanced with a vibrant, earthy flavor that stands out. You can tell they use high-quality matcha, which makes all the difference. The cafe itself has a warm, inviting atmosphere with a modern vibe that's perfect for relaxing or getting some work done. The staff is also very friendly. Demitasse is definitely a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy a quality matcha latte or explore unique, expertly crafted drinks!

A place where people care about their craft - and it shows in the attention to detail. The Kyoto cold brew is incredible, and they even serve it in a pitcher with an icecube inside a hollow to keep the coffee cold without watering it down. I asked about the coffee’s story, and found out that managers Bobby and Carlos taste-tested grind settings to find the perfect combination. It’s expensive, but you pay for quality. Plus - for a place run by coffee nerds, the vibe is remarkably warm, homey, and unpretentious. Feels more like a small European cafe than most places I’ve found in California. Definitely recommend!

We found this place by searching for a coffee shop while visiting Santa Monica Pier. It had good ratings so we decided this was the place to visit. When you walk in, there is a Kyoto iced coffee contraption which is dripping ice water one drop at a time to make the iced coffee. I didn’t try it, but I’d like to. The Cappuccino was great and very strong which is exactly how I like it. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and we sat outside. We had no complaints at all about this place and recommend it.

I got a too tier cortado here! The line moved fairly fast and we were able to snag a table. It's a small place for how busy they are, but i think it's just right for the vibe.

Primos Coffee and Tea consistently delivers exceptional coffee and chai experiences. The establishment is consistently greeted by friendly baristas and maintains a clean and inviting atmosphere. It stands out as one of the finest coffee shops in Montana. I am particularly fond of the turmeric ginger dirty chai. Additionally, the Nutella cruffin and strawberry croissant were freshly prepared and generously filled. The coffees are ground fresh and possess a robust, bold flavor, which is precisely what a coffee should be. The constant queue outside the establishment serves as an ample testament to the exceptional quality of their coffees.

Got a masala chai latte, asked for it to be chilled but with no ice so they decided to give me half a cup of the drink instead and it tasted like crap anyways. What a waste of money. Definitely not coming back to this place again. Awful experience tried it for the first time wouldn’t recommend.

I’m a regular at this place and it’s one of my favorite spots. But this review is solely for an encounter I had with one of the workers this morning. He used an unnecessarily aggressive tone and it was extremely abrasive while I was stood by myself in a corner waiting for my coffee, quietly holding my 5 lb dog. I understand policy and rules but it was inappropriate the way he spoke to me when I was cooperating. Awful and so rude.

Bitter. A coffee can have any taste but bitter. The barista was not good. I couldn't finish my Gibraltar. They only have a dark blend (they say medium-dark) for espresso or espresso based drinks. Many of the reviews sound great but the quality here is comparable to the shop across the road, Starbucks.

It’s known for their exquisite bright white and yellow signature, ostentatious decor and delightful coffee. This shop is a Dallas-based coffee shop. I came on clear, cool early Summer’s day with my mind focused on one thing - new coffee adventure. And it lead me to La La Land Kind Coffee. It was very early Sunday morning, hence, there was scant of humans hovering the store. I was perfunctorily greeted by a young male white staff at the counter. I perused their impressive coffee and food menu. And decided to grab a hot Latte. Minutes later, my latte was ready and took a sip. It was bloody good! Every axons and dendrites were stimulated. Interior design and special layout were brilliant. Seats both indoor and outdoor were comfortable. Service was spot on. Atmosphere was relaxing. Prices were highly competitive but expensive truth be told. Overall, it’s the most luxurious coffee shop I have ever visited. I highly recommend you visit.

Kind Café really lives up to the name. The bright yellow branding is such a happy, inviting front, it immediately sets a good tone. The vibes were excellent, and there’s a nice variety of seating options both inside and out. Just a fun, feel-good place overall. (really appreciated the late closing hours!) Got a latte and it was perfect. Definitely excited to come back and try more from their diverse menu.

La La Land Kind Cafe immediately stands out with its signature bright yellow theme, which makes the space visually striking and absolutely Instagram-worthy. Both the interior and the outdoor patio are stylish and inviting, and even the small decorative details add to the charm. The drinks themselves also feature touches of yellow, making them easy to spot and very photogenic. The menu focuses mainly on a wide variety of coffee and tea drinks, with their lattes and matcha creations being especially popular. I decided to try my favorite, the strawberry matcha latte, and it was such a treat the beautiful pink and green layers looked cheerful and uplifting, and the taste was just as delightful as the presentation. I noticed they also offer light bites such as toasts, which I didn’t try this time, but I would love to return and spend more time enjoying both the drinks and food in this cozy, creative atmosphere.

The place is super modern and bright. Line to order was a bit long but I went on a Sunday, so crowded probably expected. This is definitely a must although quite expensive but gotta say their branding is on spot, their signature beverages are delicious but also their seasonal menu of pumpkin was fire! staff is friendly. So I will say definitely a spot to add on the list for LA places.

YUM! This place is so delicious. I was working the Tom’s pop-up and during my time I got to try the avocado toast with Burrata cheese and chili flakes (pictured), the Nutella toast with bananas and strawberries(not pictured), the strawberry Matcha and La la latte which are both pictured and we’re both so good and the croissant cookie, which was amazing as well. The coffee and food at this place is seriously unmatched.

Passing this cute cafe for uncountable times, I finally made my way there. Yeah, it's always tricky visiting places at the busiest spot of Venice Beach - joy of finding parking spot in LA! Besides they mostly looked pretty busy on weekends, probably great stop to make while enjoying the stroll by the beach. Their interior was nothing but SLAY. Period. Contemporary retro vibe, with great ambience to just sit killing time or even get some work done. For the cup size, the coffee was quite pricey yet the great taste made it worth. I loved their Salted Caramel Latte, which was more on the sweeter side. I have been eyeing their pastries but unfortunately they were all gone when I arrived.

Great vibes! Food selection is average in size for a coffee shop, I would say. Limited availability of some of the food but you can find something. Good place to sit and work/study for hours if you can handle slightly loud millennial throwback music. I personally welcome it.

I came here years ago and they’ve expanded into having a larger seating area with merchandise for sale and an arty vibe. Great espresso and chai, chill service, and a solid seating area make this a killer spot to meet up with a friend for coffee.

Cute little set up for coffee..snacks or lunch.nice feeling talking to the staff. Just hopped in to check about bus and also restrooms facilities. I was told to go to public toilet as only customer of little lunch can use theirs. I wanted to pay and use but outcome was not in positive...they let go customer.

Amazing service, ambience and FUN specialty drinks! The specialty drinks are definitely worth the try and they’re as described! The only thing is that you can’t get a sweetness adjustment on those specialty items. This is also a great spot to sit and work either at their outside seating or cozy inside! Although the ambiance is amazing, There isn’t a single food item or drink I’ve enjoyed here (or at any Urth Caffe, for that matter). It seems this brand prioritizes style over substance, which some may appreciate, but not me. The bland flavors these items deliver simply don’t justify the beautiful presentation or the price point. It’s a decent place to go if it’s convenient, but I certainly wouldn’t go out of my way to try this place again.

Stopped by on a late Tuesday morning. It was not as busy and I found free street parking right away. My first time ordering the D'Lox Toast. It comes with a thick slice of English Buckwheat toast. It looked burnt at first glance but it was delicious and would recommend the toast rather than the bagel. It comes with Salmon Lox, tomatoes, red onions, capers, and cream cheese. Service was good as usual. It can be pricey but the quality is good. I only stop by their locations for breakfast/brunch.

Such a cozy place! I often come here to relax and enjoy a delicious meal. The desserts are amazing, especially the croissants with chocolate and pistachio — my absolute favorite! The matcha, tea, and coffee are also really good. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the music always creates a nice vibe. The food is excellent — the quesadilla and the pizza with salmon and chicken are incredibly tasty. It’s usually a bit busy, but definitely worth the wait. I highly recommend this place!

The food is nice and refreshing with lots of options for people of various dietary restrictions. The vibe is very chill and they have great coffee. I really liked my chicken sandwich I got it was very refreshing. My only complaint is that I personally wasn’t vibing with the music that they were playing at the facility it was like opera-esque music which I don’t like but that’s just me personally. Additionally the space at times felt kind of cramped

First time ever coming here and wow! The food display looked amazing and wasn't sure where to even start! I went with th egg sandwich with an up charge to get potatoes. The food was very tasty and fresh! Service was friendly overall but I loved the atmosphere! Nice inside and outside seating with heat lamps and scenery! A plus location!

Visited Urth Caffe on Sunday. It wasn’t crowded in the morning, so we were able to find a seat easily. A nice spot if you want a more relaxed time here. The food and drinks were okay, but not something I would really crave again.

Parking for the cafe is along the streets in front or at the back of the building. Can get a bit crowded but shouldn’t be too long to wait for a spot. Coffee is decent and service is adequate and efficient. Nice place to sit at and there’s always a stream of customers coming in but most are for takeaway so not hard to get a table unless it’s the weekend. Worth dropping by if you’re in the area.

The lattes here are nice, although they could be a bit hotter! I enjoyed the vanilla iced latte, not to sweet but maybe a little heavy on the milk. The service was great, and the wait was only about 10min. And the atmosphere of the cafe is really cool, I love the industrial design and the exposed ceiling. Super cool vibe.

Amazing coffee in the heart of Venice!! Located on famous Abbot Kinney. Perfect place to grab an espresso, flat white, iced coffee and take a work call. Raul is super friendly at the cashier! Gives great recommendations. Peach made my drink with a lot of love and pretty design. Definitely check this coffee shop out next time you’re in Venice!

I was on a donut quest and happened upon this place. Their chocolate devil's food cake certainly did the job! It was delicious. But more importantly, the atmosphere and service was exactly what I expect and appreciate in a perfect cafe. When I got to the cash register, I was surprised that they DON"T ACCEPT CASH. And none of my bank apps were linked to my new phone. I only had cash. But the clerk made an exception due to my circumstances and let me pay in cash. This was huge, because I was on foot and had walked all the way from the pier in Santa Monica. And the donut was already in the bag. Anyway, it all worked out thanks to their amazing customer service. I also love the outdoor seating, which feels surprisingly welcoming and cozy due to the plants, layout, furniture choices, and mural. I would go there again for sure the next time I'm in L.A.

The donuts are delicious, but they lack the “fun” factor I typically associate with donuts. The dough is delicious with great cake texture. The toppings have great flavor and aren’t overly sweet. However, the superior quality isn’t justified by the price discrepancy between a more traditional “local donut shop” donut, which gives just about the same amount of enjoyment (assuming you have decent local donut shops). It’s worth giving this place a try, but not the highlight of any trip to Santa Monica.

Had the maple bacon, old fashioned, butter & salt, cinnamon crumb, and chocolate. Butter & salt is hands down the best. Absolutely incredible. Followed by maple bacon and old fashioned. Wouldn’t waste your time with the chocolate though.

Great donuts even though it was a bit expensive. They provided water and outdoor seating as well as the ability to taste some donut flavors. At the time of being there, there were two donut flavors out to be sampled. The employees were nice and the line moved quickly.

The passion fruit donut was a surprise. Walled in and found out this special is not on the online menu. Ordered it, tastes real good. Fluffy bit not too airy, fried to the right amount. Maybe the sign was right? ‘Best donut in California’

These donuts are so good!! They were offering free samples of the butter jalapeño flavour and it was amazing. I got the "maracuya pavlova", which I think is a seasonal flavour, and a banana bread latte and both were so good! The staff were also very friendly and the place is aesthetically pleasing.

This place definitely provides among the best donuts in town. Growing in Europe, with limited to no donuts culture, it has been only since I discovered Sidecar that I started to enjoy a donut (or two) every now and then. My personal favorite is the butter and salt donut as well as the old-fashion, both are a must try. My son loves the chocolate one and the huckleberries donuts. Two other great options. Some may argue they're a bit on the pricier side and too gourmet, but their size, freshness, and the wide range of flavors they offer justify the price, making them essential for any donut enthusiast or someone simply looking for a tasty snack.

Took a 6:30 AM yoga class and was looking for coffee and this was already open so I stopped by and got a Darth Mocha, which isn’t sweet at all, they use a dark chocolate, espresso, charcoal, sea salt, and milk of your choice and you can get it hot or cold. A sweet girl that was in my yoga class actually let me in on a little secret…. if you’re in line and you’re at the front… the frame to the right is actually a secret menu so you can just pop it right off and the menu will be on the back ! I am a sucker for cinnamon donuts, and when I saw the cinnamon twist, I knew I needed to have it. It tastes like a churro and it would probably be so delicious dipped in your hot coffee, but I opted for a cold ! It is very vibey inside, but there is seating inside or outside depending on the weather and what your vibe is. The workers are super sweet and really know their menu well so you can ask for recommendations!! I’ll be back after more yoga classes 😉

Great coffee! We had their cappucino, mocha and Spanish latte and we loved all of it. They have a simple menu which makes ordering a breeze. They close exactly at 6pm though but we were able to sit at the tables outside.

Great spot in Venice by the beach to drink a coffee and even sit down on the space outside. We were able to take our dogs, and enjoy a delicious creamy coffee and latte just before heading to the beach. Parking can be a little tricky like everywhere in the area. But if you're driving, you can find free street parking few streets down.

We’re local to the area and have tried all the coffee shops in the neighborhood. Menotti’s is hands down the best option. Their drinks are delicious. We especially love the cold brew — smooth, bold and never watered down. Thank you for being our safe haven in a neighborhood full of chaos.

7 years between visits and still as amazing. The coffee is an experience. An absolute must have. We also opted for a pear cake , a sprinkle donut and chocolate chip sea salt cookies. Wish they had a Menotti’s where we live.

Nestled in a tiny corner of Venice Beach lies this lovely coffee shop. It's small, cozy, and has a super nice outdoor seating area that borders the beach! The menu is simple and very well executed (and I would say the same goes for the decor and just the overall vibe). I had an amazing espresso tonic that was perfect for the summer morning! All the staff were very nice and happy to talk me through the menu too. I HIGHLY recommend this place. Coming here on a nice summer morning and drinking coffee outside the shop is a unique feeling that is rare to capture. I can't wait to do it again when I'm back in California!

May 14, 2025 Weak and tasteless espresso - $3,65 for a double shot. I used to like Coffee Bean, not anymore. The prices keep rising and the quality has fallen. It’s time to buy an espresso machine and enjoy my coffee at home

I’m just trying to get to work. I know you don’t open until seven. I was waiting quietly at 6:58 only to be told rudely we’re not open. Yeah that’s why I’m sitting out here waiting. And then she decided to teach me a lesson by not opening the door for a few extra minutes after 7. The correct answer is we open shortly? I’ll be right with you. Thanks for waiting. I ended up at Starbucks where I was treated like a human being that wasn’t a bother. I hate doing stuff like this but if you don’t wanna be there then don’t be there. I’m not expecting a rocket scientist too make me coffee in the morning, but I am expected to be treated like I’m not a piece of dog doo doo and maybe a good morning. Call me crazy but it’s what I do for my customers even when I’m having a bad day. It’s basic kindness. People appreciate it and my customers return.

I wanted to come here to do work while drinking coffee and they blocked ALL of there charging ports! My computer was at 13% and I couldn’t even do work while here because they have no charging ports! Very rude staff order one coffee the cashier charge me for 2 coffees I told her I ordered just one (she didn’t even make it yet ) told me I have to wait 1/2 hour for the manager which is on break. I was with 2 kids and were late to bring kids to class . I told them to cancel the order and give me the money. Another employ told me to get out because he is going to get security . I left and bought the police and than they gave me my money back

Deux Ex Machina Cafe takes up a corner of the clothing store and opens up like a garage to a simple but lovely patio, sunny with big plants. I would have loved to stay in for a while, but the flat white I got was pretty subpar. The top was tasteless big bubble foams and the rest was burnt. So instead I had two big cups of water and left.

I had driven by this place a million times and always wondered what it was. There was clothing in the window, but also sold coffee? Turns out this shop actually belongs to an international brand. This location sells their clothing, and has great coffee. Plus, there's an outdoor section that's super cute. We had iced matcha green tea lattes that were delicious, and sat inside at one of their worktables with our laptops. We'll definitely go again!

In desperate need of a coffee and some breakfast, I headed to this great little spot in Venice. I had a great pour over decaf coffee that was so well balanced without a trace of bitterness. The breakfast tacos were on point and filled to the brim with eggy fillings. Great space on the patio to chill, and very helpful waitstaff who are great recommendations. Yum!

I picked up two good size slides of two diffent delicious bread. Both fresh and healthy, with a moist texture that lets you palatal taste the fruit almonds and smooth chocolate. One covered with pumpkin seeds. The third item was a muffin baked leaving the crest slightly toasted but also moist with a firm texture. I would recommend all three with black espresso coffee, no milk. It will complement all three without overwhelming your palatal tasting the rich flavor of the fruit and chocolate in the bread and the muffin. An excellent working space or a place where you can enjoy the moment. It has a nice covered patio area in addition to the spacious inside area that is not overcrowded with chairs and tables. Both areas give you working space and privacy. At the present time, it has no sign announcing its name outside, just a white facade. Which, gives a cool and fresh atmosphere in a hot day. If you aren't looking for it, you could easily miss it. It seems to be a popular place. I didn't have to wait long to pick up my goodies. Parking is another story, but it's Venice and Parking in this area is a commodity. Whatever distance you have to walk or ride your bike is worth it.

The best breakfast sandwich I’ve had in LA! The fried egg sandwich is so good and the horchata cold brew is divineeeeee. The outdoor seating area is beautiful too, definitely a good place to stop on the weekend before errands.

Daily morning coffee and breakfast tacos from groundwork is what we look forward to on our visit here. Their coffee is so delicious, AND they have vegan and gluten free tacos. Staff is super friendly. Couldn’t ask for more.

I've lived in Santa Monica for 7 years and April 4, 2024 is the first time I stop in to order something. The coffee is excellent. It's better than Starbucks. Excellent pastries to choose from and they are absolutely delicious. I don't know of any other place that has pastries that taste as good as the ones here. Cozy atmosphere inside and outdoor seating is also available for those who wish to dine outside. What stood out the most was the amazing customer service that I received. It was genuine service. The kind of service where you can tell they really want to make sure that you are taken care of. You don't find that at hardly any place these days but I was delighted to find it here. I think I'm going to discontinue my 15 years streak with Starbucks and start coming over here. I highly recommend it!

The ladies are nice and professional. One of the BEST iced latte from their Roast...very good pick me up. CROISSANTS are different but very delicious. The cookies are a MUST!

Mmmm! Their tres leches cake and pan dulces are beyond delicious and you can tell they’re using top shelf ingredients. Delicious Mexican conchitas & other baked goods that don’t leave a film in your mouth. Terrific coffee, too! Better than Starbucks. Great prices and nicest staff. Fresh ingredients, and even part of 1% for the planet. Easy parking and convenient hours.

I had a terrible breakfast experience here. I chose this place based on the positive reviews, but it was extremely disappointing. The breakfast sandwiches were clearly frozen and premade, then just microwaved, which left them soggy and unappetizing. I felt unwell afterward, with stomach discomfort lasting the entire day. It was a regrettable choice, and I won’t be returning.

Wow! The pastries are authentic and delicious! If you’re looking for a quant but cozy coffee shop in Santa Monica, THIS IS IT! Morning beverages with a Mexican twist, along with great pastries to fit the part. The Vegan pan dulce was outstanding. I ordered a mollete and the beans were seasoned just right, the cheese added that special zing it was missing! The cake display looked so good I had to take more things home. The staff was delightful but I would recommend adding a tip option for card transactions, they do an amazing job and I would have loved to reward them a little.

Lovely pastries, good service. I recommend the guava tacos and the powdered tea cookies. So rich and sweet and the textures are a wonderful experience. TIP: Parking behind store and also metered parking. Try the Aguascalientes frescos for something refreshing to go with your treats.

Great spot for delicious arepas and coffee. This was a tasty meal, and for vegetarians, the mushroom ‘chorizo’ and black bean options are tasty. I loved my matcha oak milk latte as well, and the service and atmosphere of the cafe really invites you to sit and stay, unlike so many grab n go LA shops that feel cold. The comfy couch chairs and tables, the nice service, and the tasty food contributed to a new favorite shop on Ocean Park.

I was really looking forward to trying Arepa Coffee Shop for the first time. When I walked in, the initial interaction with the cashier was great—he was friendly, and I told him I was excited to try the food. He mentioned it would be about a 15-minute wait for my arepa, which was totally fine. Unfortunately, that’s where things started to go downhill. After waiting around 20 minutes, I noticed things were getting a bit chaotic, so I politely checked in with a staff member. She couldn’t find my order or my receipt, and it became clear that something had gone wrong. They eventually figured out there was a mistake, but I ended up waiting another 15 minutes after that—so in total, it took about 40 minutes to get my food. The arepa itself was tasty, but definitely not worth the long wait and confusion. What really disappointed me the most was that no one apologized or acknowledged the mix-up. It left a bad impression, and sadly, I probably won’t be returning

Heavenly coffee and even more amazing arepa. You get two mini snack size arepa so you can mix and match. I always get tuna for one and mango/ farmer cheese for the other one and they are fantastic! delectable. Support local mom and pop shops. Their only competition on the west side is a farmers market arepa stand and i much prefer bolivar because the filling to corn cake ratio and the ability to sample two types with one order.

Cafe Bolívar (est 2001) is a cute corner South American coffee shop on Ocean Avenue in Santa Monica. They have good selection of coffee & tea drinks, selective pastries, salads, breakfast, and special arepas. This cafe has a calming atmosphere with background music that’s not too loud, and the staff are skilled. I came on a sunny warm afternoon to grab a cold drink/light lunch. I had a Cold Brew and Chicken Arepas. I enjoyed their refreshing cold brew coffee drink but so much on the pollo arepas. Its chicken was dry; arepas outside was crispy and crunchy but the inside was not moist. Moreover, their size was bloody small. Cafe’s interior was naturally bright and aesthetically decorated. Indoor/outdoor seats were comfortable. Prices of the drinks were fair, however, arepas seem expensive. Service was on point. Staff were cordial. Free wifi. Plenty of street parking. Overall, it’s a nice coffee shop.

This is my favorite cafe in Santa Monica—- a hidden gem. It’s a lot of locals and SMC students that go there. Great space to get some work done—despite the music and crowd noise for whatever reason there is a level of focus here. Outdoor seating available. FOR COFFEE LOVERS: get your coffee here and buy the coffee by pound. And of course you gotta try the arepas. 😊

Just needed a caffeine boost after a day of running around town. Old fashioned coffee shop, fast service, good latte. Obviously set up for live music etc, with a back room that has seating , stage etc

Pretty bummed. Planned to meet here with a friend as it looked so cute and cozy for a study sesh but it’s just not open and the phone number listed leads to an error message. Would have loved to become a regular patron here but not with a business that just randomly doesn’t open!

What a cool place!! Food is good, drinks are good and overall vibe is great!! Has a stage where they have open mic nites for comedy, spoken words, and music. Definitely now one of my favorite places!!

It's been 15 years since I've been to this cafe, but it was a sanctuary space for me when I was a student. I remember the poetry nights, comfy couches for reading, and a old piano that was to only be played delicately.

The owner makes everything herself. She let me sample the lemon bars, and it was so delicious that I bought one-- not too sweet, just perfect. Coffee is inexpensive here, only $3 whereas at other places I've paid $5 or $6. Also, while I was studying here, someone was playing piano. This is not your average coffee shop-- it's a whole experience.

Came across this local coffee shop and decided to try their latte and home baked goodies. All items were absolutely delicious! The chocolate cake is vegan and made from organic ingredients. You'd never guess it's vegan! #finger_lickin_good

The manager sets the tone with incredible energy, creating a fun, positive atmosphere that’s contagious. We love coming here—it’s a true cornerstone of the community.

I tend to stay away from chain coffee shops because they truly tend to let me down when it comes to things as simple as an espresso, however, I was very surprised with the service and knowledge of the baristas who pulled an absolutely incredible shot and also gave my doggo a treat so he wasn't left out. Great vibe and super friendly staff.

Best coffee in Abbot Kinney. The store is a bit tight inside with all seating out front. Not much in the way of merchandise and a small selection of pastries. Coffee is always on point. Parking is street only and Abbot Kinney can often take time. Use the larger pay lots just off Abbot Kinney. Recommend.

Bought a mug to do the right thing. Perfect Americano and Croissant. Nice to sit outside on the pavement although bit much traffic (it’s LA). Clean and fresh atmosphere.

I got an iced vanilla latte from blue bottle and it was possibly one of the best iced coffees I’ve ever had. Full disclosure, I’m yet to try their other coffees.

I usually like their coffee and they make it nicely but today I am disappointed. I asked for a cappuccino breve with a drip of lavender and. Why do you think I asked breve?! Because I like it extra smooth. Wel… the nice foam on top was almost missing because they made it fast and not caring that the fine on top is not as rich and pretty as it should be. I pay for it to have it extra nicely done and good looking design on top! This way I can make it at home. I’ll try again maybe… And I ask not to have the top on because I really pay for coffee to enjoy the topping visually and with all my senses…. That’s how I want to experience coffee

We’ve ordered lavender latte and chagaccino latte, they are more like milk with slight tint of coffee. For lavender latte, the mix is harmonious; but for chagaccino, it’s too sweet and the mix is uneven (you would want a straw). The almond croissant is only average as it’s not crispy but wet and soft.

The vanilla latte is absolutely worth the hype. Absolutely delicious. Had it with oat milk and it was 10/10. Also had the el alfuego burrito which hit the spot. The hot sauce and salsa they serve with it is to die for. Wish I could get that in a bottle. Edit: just realized they sell the hotsauce in store and on Amazon! Getting it asap

Cute little place. Got the vanilla latte (less than half sweetener and two extra shots) and it was tasty. They also have a fridge with more drinks & food. They have a some tables outside and there's trees giving a little shade. Staff was friendly, there was some parking in the back or on the street. It was a nice place to sit and work for a bit.

$15 for a coffee and they "can't add sweet cream onto a hot coffee"? I dont care, charge $25 price is not the problem. Its not a favor, its a product/service. Lack of problem solving skills and basic customer service. Lazy.

We had just ate at Pizzana and were walking off some of the carbs and decided to check out Alfred Coffee. I've been to Alfred Tea Room, but never one of their coffee spots. They had a lot of extra things like mugs, water bottles, chocolate, tote bags and more. Kombucha on tap was new, and matcha was new too. They got a lot of small white tables outside where we took a seat, and many people were camped out to type on their laptops. I've gone by the Alfred in Silverlake quite often, so I think I'll stop by there too one of these days. I can see why the brand is so successful, with such friendly staff. Was let down by my experience at Winston Pies right after this visit... unfriendly. But then we went to Tavern (old Hamburger Hamlet spot) and they were really cool!

Very cute little cafe in Sawtelle, really close to the main downtown strip. My matcha oat latte was really good, could be a little stronger, but really delicious. Plenty of seating inside and outside, cute aesthetic decorations. The staff was super nice as well, and really made the experience!

The Baseline: For a coffee shop the baseline involves the quality of the roast, the taste of the coffee, and the preparation of specialty drinks/food items. Food: The coffee here is really good and has a good taste based on the roast. The Chagaccino I had was a mushroom mix with monk fruit sweaters which took apart my personal guilt level. There are lots of choices for milk alternatives and they also serve matcha along with grab and go food offerings. Service: The staff was friendly and efficient in preparing my order. My servers have always took great care in preparing my drinks. Ambiance: This place has a fun decor and you get to watch the staff fix your drinks. It has a good flow with indoor outdoor seating but the indoor might as well be outdoor as the sliding glass is usually open to the outside.

Matcha latte with oat milk is very smooth. Iced matcha with strawberry macadamia nut milk is fragrant and yummy. I’ve also tried their coffee with oat milk - also very good.

This charming café offers really good coffee and a variety of snacks that are low in sugar. The croissants are particularly excellent, making it a great spot for a delightful and healthier treat. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff add to the overall wonderful experience. However, one point for improvement could be the availability of ceramic mugs, which would enhance the coffee-drinking experience. Perfect for a relaxing coffee break.

First of all, amazing coffee plus it looks awesome inside. Great food, friendly atmosphere, the staff are very polite and professional... the list goes on. If you like coffee or want a quick bite, and just so happen to be in West LA, def stop by here and try their menu, you won't regret it. Personally I like drip coffee but they have so much more.

Some of the wateriest matcha I've ever had - very underwhelming. Got the strawberry matcha & the strawberry tasted very artificial - together with the matcha was overwhelmingly watery and an artificial sweetness. I read many good reviews before going so maybe it was a one-off; I came on a Saturday afternoon and their service was fast, but I was very disappointed!

Parking was super easy - a major plus for a downtown coffee spot. The coffee was delicious, The shop is cute, And the staff are all super helpful and kind. This will be a regular stop for me now.

Great for a quick coffee - their iced magic is the most balanced coffee I’ve tried in LA - which makes me overlook their lack of efficiency. But honestly the service is SLOW, unapologetic, and then… to add to it all, incorrect. I’ve ordered food twice from this branch. Each time was SO slow. The first I could understand because it was pretty busy and the I assume the owner was there because he profusely apologized for the wait and gave me chocolates (haha) to appease us. This second time was horrible. I ordered via the app (because ya can’t get points if you don’t) and it took SO long. They had my order number sitting for 15 min. Store wasn’t full but when i got there my tortilla for my burrito was sitting out with flies around it… they took another guy’s order in-store (with food mind you) and he got out of there before I did. Then, I ordered EGG WHITES on the app and they gave me regular eggs, saying “sorry its an app issue pls raise to customer service in app and they’ll issue you a refund”. So I did raise it and customer service was the worst customer service experience I’ve had. No remorse, no offer for refund, nothing. Just “ok your concerns have been noted to our GM. We’re sorry for the inconvenience.” If you’re asking me to pay 7 dollars a day for coffee and 12 bucks for food, I’d expect better - and there’s a health reason for asking for egg whites so I couldn’t even eat it. I gave it to my sister. I went to Bluestone almost daily since we moved but this brand honestly doesn’t deserve your money or loyalty. 😅😅 so disappointing!!!!

Super friendly service and a nice environment to chill and enjoy yourself. The bacon, egg, and cheese croissant had a nice chipotle mayo to add a little something extra. The iced cold brew was smooth and strong. Don’t skip out on this gem.

I wanted to like this coffee shop. The service I received was fantastic and the atmosphere was tasteful. However, you can tell a lot about the quality of the actual product by their house brew, the Kickstand. The coffee had almost no flavor at all, tasting like a little coffee was added to a whole lot of hot water. At $4.50 for a small cup I would anticipate that it should at least have more flavor than McDonald’s coffee. If they refined their brewing proportions and invested in better quality beans, I would try them again!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ First and foremost, Ayiana and Amelia ROCK! They took amazing care of my mother before her stressful medical tests. They were so loving, kind, and welcoming - that it was indeed a pleasure to spend some time with these two baristas in a quaint and eclectic setting. The coffee is high quality, well prepared, and can be quite artistic (depending upon what you order). My personal favourite? The cappuccino, of course - with Amelia’s epic Rosetta! We visited a different coffee shop every day for 10 days while we visited LA. This was our favorite. Exceptionally clean, bright, happy energy. Incredible food and drink selections. Baristas made us feel like Queens. No, seriously - they spent so much time answering all of our tourist questions. They were awesome. This was a 12 out of 10 experience for us.

This Sunny cafe has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, warm atmosphere and friendly service. I ordered my usual iced latte, it was good no complaints. However they charge an extra .50 for light ice and an extra $1 for milk alternatives. They have a nice selection of pastries, and donuts that are made with alternative sugars and clean ingredients. Always nice to see. They have a Chaga mushroom mixture that can be added to your drink for $2 that might be fun. Also an array of grab and go snacks, drinks, treats etc if you are on the go.

I stopped by 10 Speed Coffee the other day and had a cappuccino. The coffee was decent, a tad too hot maybe. The shop wasn't busy on a Sunday morning, the vibe was very chill. Baristas were pretty friendly. There are lots of seats inside, work stations, armchairs, and bar counters. All drenched in beautiful morning sunshine. There is also a patio outside, equipped with a bike rack, of course.

I tried their cookies. The sea salt chocolate chip cookie was decadent but reminded me of the famous cookie at Bristol Farms. The toasted coconut almond joy was delicious. Def recommend that one. This place is strictly takeout.

If you’re ever in the mood for something sweet, this place, totally hits the spot. My favorite things are the Portuguese egg tarts and the salt chocolate chip cookie. The cookie is huge and can easily be shared. I’ve not tried their coffee yet, but my boyfriend loves their coffees.

This place is fantastic. The chocolate chip sea salt cookie is one of the best in Los Angeles. I also ordered their egg tart which is a must if you stop by, it’s flaky and delicious. I also got the mazipan coffee which was good as well. There’s some tables outside and it’s counter served inside. The staff was very friendly and everything looked so good.

Originally bookmarked this place to try their Portuguese style egg tarts and found out they also do Levain style cookies like in a NY. Overall, solid bakery in Santa Monica. Egg tart was surprisingly pretty good, growing up in Asia I can be pretty tough on rating them and find proper ones harder to find here, especially central or ourself SGV. Egg custard filling is not too sweet, caramelized, puff pastry crust wasn’t too far off. Not fresh out the oven but held up well. Cookies were good too, if you like that thicker soft chewy interior Levain made famous. Also not the freshest batch with the crust being slightly harder to bite into, but lots of melted chocolate inside. I might actually go with the triple chocolate over the trademark chocolate and walnut. There was also a sea salt chocolate chip one I wanted to try. On Wilshire Blvd across Bristol Farms, with its own parking lot.

Just got an Americano from Panderia and sampled their peanut butter chocolate cookie. Both taste amazing, but I'd come back for the super barista who didn't scoff at my questions about the coffee and was super sweet to me even though I looked like I crawled out from under a rock today. The banana bread pudding is the most delicious dessert I've had in west LA! It's airy, light, and creamy, with just the right amount of sweetness and bananas. I also enjoyed the horchata coffee which was basically an excellent latte, and not overly sweet. The service was fast and very pleasant!

Portuguese egg tarts that are flaky on the outside and soft custardy on the inside. While they don't warm them up like Natas Pastries up north, they are still quite wonderful as a take away dessert. Service is fast. The ambiance is modern and clean.

Was my first time coming here from a friends recommendation and I was so impressed. The latte was delicious and the baked goods were so fresh (i got the blueberry muffin and croissant). It’s all donation based but it was my first time and they gave me the coffee free!

Rose latte & a banana pecan muffin. The latte with Rose was very delicious, slightly sweet with a very mild hint of rose but it tasted great! They have some cool lids too that let out a good amount of drink. Got it iced as recommended. The banana pecan muffin was awesome, very fluffy soft with delicious flavor. It was very busy when I went but they work fast. Parking available on the streets and some parking lots. Plenty if tables and seats inside. Prices are fair & staff was pleasant.

Very kind staff, chill vibes with Lego to mess with 🤩🤩, pretty good drinks. Overall great, and the donation based pricing for drinks is pretty cool.

Upside Down is a donation based coffee shop: you name whatever price you find reasonable for the drink, and that's how much you pay. The space is also a community space that exhibit art pieces and host events. Upside Down is a coffee shop, so of course you could get an americano or cappuccino here, but what their menu features most prominently is a series of signature drinks, from Tiramisu Latte to Lavender London Fog. It's almost amusing that a simple drip coffee or cappuccino would be in the secret menu. Upside Down also carries pastries and they do have a price of $3.5 each. Of the four drinks I had, I like my first one the most. Cafe Hafookh is a latte served in a glass mug with a thick layer of foam and topped off with cinnamon powder. It looked nice and tasted better than I expected, not syrupy nor overpowered by cinnamon. I went back to Upside Down a few more times, and tried their Tiramisu Latte, L'Chaim (Chai Mocha), and an iced Rose Matcha Latte. They were a mixed bag, somehow gave me a starbucks vibe, but I also didn't pay outrageous $$$ for these specialty drinks. Service was generally good, and in particular Kyle who took my order once was super friendly and definitely deserves a shout out! Upside Down is located right outside UCLA's campus in Westwood village, with a strong college cafe vibe during the academic semesters. Students would line up in front of the shop and rush in to claim seats when the doors open at 9am. Sometimes you may not be able to find a seat even though the shop has plenty. On the positive side, going to Upside Down makes me feel young, haha.

I always came Whole Foods with my friend for lunch, and even though I walked by groundwork coffee, I didn't tried their coffee and tea but one time I tried their coffee and tea. I get addicted with their products. It is really test good, and reason test good is that they have organic tea and coffee, and those organic tea and coffee are same price another coffee shop price. Also they have honey for using tea. It is really make test good for tea. I can tell honey also is good quality. Also, they have nice manager and employees. Anytime I came with my friend they are so friendly. They also have inside and outside seat for customers. I love this place now and I recommend for sure everyone one who love healthy and good test coffee and tea, and for sure I recommend Moroccan tea for everyone

Very unfriendly service! There is a store inside whose foods store. Staff always act rude, weather you order a coffee or today I had Whole Foods food & it’s almost 100 degrees . I sat down to eat my food and cafe staff made me go outside even though there was plants of space and hardly any customers. It’s ok to be kind to others! ❤️

I used to come here once or twice a week .. today i decided to have a Yougurt and seat a the counter inside the whole foods markets instead but on one side they removed the seat so I went and sat on the others and the Lady Esmeralda she literally kicked me out and was calling the security on the radio even if I literally was THE ONLY ONE THERE.. I just wanted to have a quick Yougurt.. it would have been less than 2 minutes I get it if it was busy but there was NONE at 8am on a Saturday! SO RUDE !!

This is not a crowded place, but hre coffee and breeze of fresh air (outdoor seating) are GREAT! We were the only customers when we came. The barista quickly and swiftly make our cappucino. It tastes GREAT!

I didn’t expect much since the overall ratings are average, but this place is right across the street from the Tesla chargers, so it was very convenient when I needed to charge the car and get my toddler out to walk around for a bit. I was happy to see that they had lavender lattes on the menu cuz those are my favorite. I was even happier with how it tasted—not overly sweet, and perfect velvety foam. I was also very pleased that they had a savory pastry option. The caramelized onion scone looked suspiciously dry, but it wasn’t. It was quite moist and delicious, which was another wonderful surprise. But the best part for me (which is very parent-specific, so probably not relevant to most people), was the fact that the kids steamed milk I got for my 1.5yr old was actually perfect temperature, with a nice amount of foam. As a parent, it’s rare that a barista has the awareness or experience to recognize a good temperature for younger babies. Most of the time at other cafes, the milk is still too hot for kids younger than 5. But this barista was pretty awesome and skilled, and I soooooo appreciate that attention to such a seemingly benign detail. I didn’t get their name, but I was overall very impressed.

Great espresso and cappuccino! Freshly roasted beans. Come if you have a picky palate for coffee!

Had really high hopes for this place and had bookmarked it for months after seeing it on a few top lists. But unfortunately they were out of the seasonal drink that I wanted and the cold brew that I had wasn't overly impressive. I also had hoped there would be more seating or a nicer area to get some work done, but it seemed pretty limited in terms of tablespace. Will give it another shot next time I'm in town.
