Hermosa Beach Pier is a historic 1,140-foot structure that offers stunning views of Santa Monica Bay and the Los Angeles area. It provides unobstructed vistas of Manhattan Beach Pier to the north and King Harbor in Redondo Beach to the south. The pier features public restrooms, fishing opportunities, and a nearby beach with sand volleyball courts. Originally built in the 1930s, it has been reconstructed using concrete to withstand erosion.
This is our favorite beach. They have the strip of stores and restaurants right off the beach. It's very clean and family-friendly. If you like volleyball, they have a ton of courts to play on. If you want a refreshing bite to eat, I suggest the acai place called Good Sol. So, good!
Kristian M — Google review
Parking is a challenge, sometimes. The pier has plenty of benches. They had a volleyball competition the day I visited. The bathroom might be without toilet paper at times. I noticed the area to be clean. There are restaurants and shops near the boardwalk. Very lively. I noticed a skateboarding group riding together. I also noticed a live band playing music on a Thursday night in July in one of the outdoor bars.
Elkie I — Google review
As a portrait photographer, this is one of my favorite spots to shoot couples at sunset and even capture spontaneous street portraits of interesting strangers. It’s a lively, cinematic place — no surprise it was one of the filming locations for La La Land. The crowd brings great energy, and the golden hour light here is simply magical. If you’re a fan of dreamy light and city vibes, you’ll love shooting (or being photographed) here too!

Perfect mix of beach vibes and walkable charm at the Hermosa Beach Pier...it was one of our favorite stop and stays during out road trip along the California coast. The pier is awesome — wide, clean, and perfect for an easy stroll with ocean views in every direction. What makes it extra special is how seamlessly the beach connects to all the nearby shops, cafés, and restaurants. You can grab a smoothie, walk straight onto the sand, or wander the pier at sunset; it all feels effortless. Great energy, friendly locals, and that classic SoCal vibe without the fuss.
SarahBeth C — Google review
Beautiful clean pier right in the center of Hermosa Beach. Free access. Fishing from the end. Lots of nice drink, places and coffee shops next-door. Ample parking also.
Pokegemz — Google review
Charming, sunny, and full of life. Hermosa Beach is the whole package—clean beach, scenic pier, and a vibrant downtown lined with palm trees, street art, and colorful boutiques. You can surf in the morning, shop for quirky tees by lunch, and enjoy fruit-blended ice cream before sunset. Super walkable, great for families and couples, and filled with good vibes.
Tita P — Google review
Great time! and we got so lucky there was a silent piano concert , we attended and it was magnificent watching the sunset and listening to the piano.
Maria B — Google review
I love it! It depends when you come sometimes it can be full, but there are benches on the pier and a beautiful sunset to watch. There’s food around too, you just have to walk a little.

Farmers Markets
If you're in Hermosa Beach and looking for fresh produce, the Hermosa Beach Friday Farmers Market is a must-visit. Taking place every Friday from 12 to 4 pm, this community event features local farmers, gardeners, and horticulturists showcasing their latest harvests. With about 11 farmers offering fresh produce and plants, along with various booths selling pre-packaged foods, prepared foods, flowers, and local crafts, there's something for everyone.
I love this Farmer's Market because has a lot of differents vendors for the small.size of the market. Very friendly environment, all vendors are very nice and there are also lot of Food Vendors if you want to eat your lunch at the Market and seats with table. They also have live music every Friday from 2pm-4 pm. Great place to hang out, having lunch and buy groceries. Really good the ready to cook at home Pizza from Fresco Pasta and also I love their Ravioli.

Loved it! They have amazing produce! They had romanesco & okra! 😋 Easy to park, & great vibes 😎💙

Pick up a bag of locally roasted coffee beans from Haya Coffee. Great quality beans at around $13 for a 12oz bag. Then get lunch at the Tamale stand. They make fantastic gorditas that will ruin you for all other taco stands.

Reestablishing itself with new layout allowing both safety and freedom of motion. Went first Friday of March 2021 after the long shutdown and cautious reopening. Lovely as always. Music set to E of booths with entrance exit to market on North side.
Alison M — Google review
I loved the food, the chicken bowl. The strawberries were the best I've ever seen, so big and beautiful and lasted a long time without wilting....It was my first time, I was impressed.
Charisse G — Google review
I love this farmers market. Great ratio of food to eat vs traditional produce etc. Love Harry's Barry's and the flower guy now that he is back. Go there pretty much every Friday.

Very small farmers market. There are some good Growers, and other vendors also. But far from the best farmers market in the area.

Comedy club
Nestled in the vibrant Hermosa Beach, California, The Comedy & Magic Club has been a cherished destination for laughter and entertainment for nearly 40 years. This iconic venue is renowned for hosting some of the biggest names in comedy, including legends like Jay Leno and Jerry Seinfeld. With its prime beachside location, it draws both seasoned comedians and eager audiences alike. The club not only showcases top-tier comedic talent but also features magical performances that keep guests on their toes.
We went on Sunday night to see Jay Leno, the tickets are very reasonable, there is a two item minimum on the menu. If you drink shouldn't be a problem. The food menu is pretty limited. We also got to see James Brogan and the MC was Sandy Stac. Well worth going. They also have a Seinfeld puffy shirt on display too!
Steve R — Google review
This place is always a blast. Ive seen some of my favorite comedians here like Gabriel Iglesias, and Sebastian Maniscalso. I most recently went with a group of friends and saw their 20 comedian birthday show and it was amazing. They have such an awesome, almost familial vibe there. Its intimate, and still big enough to have the good feeling of an entire crowd roaring with laughs!
Arik T — Google review
The venue is fine, just fine. There are lots of pictures of comics who have appeared there, and many are names you've know. Our table was right up against the stage -- see my picture -- since we got there early. The food and drinks were good, too. But the night we went, the headliner was Jay Leno and he was spectacular! He's there some some Sunday nights so check the website to see. Reservations and tickets are only available on the website, too. Go! It's a barrel of laughs.
Mike F — Google review
An absolutely fantastic show! The headlining comedian was genuinely hilarious and kept the audience laughing from start to finish. The timing, delivery, and energy were all spot-on. I had a great time and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fun night out!
Justina R — Google review
We stopped in here for dinner and a show during a layover in LA. The comedy and magic club Ended up being a highlight of our trip. The comics were hilarious, and the food was great. The service was a little slow, and it seemed like they could’ve used one or two more people, but overall it was a fantastic experience.
Mike G — Google review
5 stars for entertainment food and drinks, all were great . But 1 star for their super uncomfortable “back breaker” chairs. Like many comedy clubs, they use those cheap metal frame stackable chairs with a hard base to sit on and no lumbar support . For a place that serves nice dinners before the show you’d think they would invest in some decent seats—especially since it’s an experience of sitting on your ass for 2 hours. Went there for the first time to see Orny Adams which was a hilarious show — but he was the headliner — so after 2 hours I could barely pay attention trying to survive my torchure chair . So, even tho it’s a busy packed well run comedy venue , the chairs suck and I’m Not going back again.
Kitty M — Google review
This spot is intimate and fun, with a rotating lineup of comedians that often includes big names. The staff were professional and kept everything running smoothly. Food and drinks were reasonably priced for a comedy venue. The room setup makes every seat feel close to the stage. It’s a fantastic night out by the beach.
Kris E — Google review
Fun club! GET THERE early for the best seats! We sat right up front and we were part of the show! IAN BAGG is very funny! Food was good but service was tough with all the tables.

American restaurant
Breakfast restaurant
Burrito restaurant
Good Stuff in Hermosa Beach is a popular beachside spot offering healthy American dishes and Mexican cuisine throughout the day. While it's known for its breakfast and brunch, the Palos Verdes location also serves dinner with a variety of entrees. The restaurant provides a relaxed atmosphere right on the beach, where you can enjoy their tasty fare indoors or outdoors.
Good Stuff in Hermosa Beach is absolutely incredible. We came with the whole family — kids, grandma, my wife, and her sister — and had one of the best breakfasts we’ve ever had. Our waiter, Beto, was outstanding: attentive, helpful, and genuinely friendly. He made sure everything went smoothly and accommodated my sister-in-law’s celiac/gluten allergy with no issues at all. The food was unbelievable — fresh, delicious, and perfectly prepared. On top of that, the location can’t be beat. Eating breakfast while watching volleyball games just a few feet away is such a one-of-a-kind experience. The views, the vibe, the service, and the food all came together to make this a perfect morning. Hands down the best breakfast in the area. We’ll definitely be back!
Ben S — Google review
This is out first time t the hermosa beach location & it was so nice your right infront the of the beach! the food was great (get the buttermilk pancakes so good!!) BEKA was our server and she was the sweetest & very attentive. We will definitely be coming back :)
Evelyn G — Google review
Had a lovely breakfast here with my colleagues at Hermosa Beach. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and we felt truly welcomed. A special shoutout to Beto for making the experience even better – friendly, attentive, and professional. Highly recommend this spot!
Marilou D — Google review
I've been wanting to try Good Stuff because it's such a popular spot in Hermosa, and while the experience was okay overall, it didn't really wow me. The service was definitely the highlight, our server was friendly, attentive, and kept everything moving smoothly even though it was busy. The food, on the other hand, just didn't stand out. I ordered buttermilk pancakes expecting them to be fluffy and fresh, but they came out dry and overcooked, which made them tough to enjoy. My brother ordered a burrito which was dry on the inside with no salsa on the side. The rest of the meal was fine but pretty basic... nothing that made me feel like this was a "must visit" breakfast place. It felt more like standard diner food than something special you'd go out of your way for at the beach. The location is great and the atmosphere is casual and welcoming, so I can see why people like coming here. But based on my visit, I'd say it's more of a convenient neighborhood spot than somewhere I'd rave about. One thing that was super frustrating while eating is that there is a lot of flies in the area. They provide bug spray which is funny and convenient but nobody wants flies on their food. Good service, but the food could definitely use some improvement.
Sheba — Google review
I have high standards when it comes to eating out because I very much enjoy just cooking for myself.. so believe me when I say I was very pleased with my experience here The flavours and textures were all delicious and very satisfying. The servers (I believe ours was named Annie? With the henna freckles) was super duper kind, with the most genuine smile. On top of all of this, the fact that this place fries their food with coconut oil??? The absolute cherry on top. If I lived in the area I would eat here alll the dang time.
Gian S — Google review
Transplant from Texas, only been out here a month. First time eating here, but I always walked by it going to the beach. Also never took myself out to eat alone. BETO my server, was attentive, but also made the experience very comfortable. The weather was overcast but the environment was still warm and after my meal here, I’m gonna lay out on the sand. Food was so good I forgot to take a picture when it arrived.
Ethereal T — Google review
OUTSTANDING service! Best restaurant experience I’ve had in LA. Gabi was our server and she was just the best! Bubbly, attentive, and super friendly. The food was fire and I really enjoyed the cozy beach atmosphere. BONUS: I won a Pokémon raid here so that’s adding points. 10/10 would come here again. 🙇🏻‍♀️‼️

I had a wonderful breakfast at Good Stuff Hermosa Beach. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The banana nut muffins with The whipped butter was absolutely delicious—creamy and flavorful. The server, Hugo, was attentive and friendly, making sure I was taken care of throughout my breakfast . I highly recommend this place for great food and excellent service. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Cocktail bar
Tower 12 is a beachy, relaxed bar with a romantic patio seating that offers new American classics and fancy snacks. Located on Pier Avenue, it features interconnected rooms overlooking the ocean and pier, making it the ultimate spot for sunset sessions and apres surf. The upscale surf shack theme attracts actual surfers, offering a menu with shareable dishes like meatballs, wings, charcuterie, pizza, salads, sandwiches, and mouth-watering entrees.
Went there spontaneously with our group just to grab some drinks, without expecting much from the food — but we were pleasantly surprised! We ordered the Pretzel, Pita & Hummus, Tuna Poke, and a variety of pizzas. The hummus was the clear standout — honestly, the best I’ve ever had, and I didn’t expect that from an American restaurant! The tuna poke was absolutely amazing too. Overall, great vibes, good service, and surprisingly delicious food. We all ended up loving the place and would definitely come back!

So here is my review of this place. 1- Decoration: 8/10 the decoration is nice. It's on the 2nd floor there's a balcony where you can see downtown Hermosa Beach. It's a bit small but good enough for families. I'd love the pictures of the surfers and skateboarding. 2- Ambiance: 8/10 The ambiance is very nice. There's a lot of people. There's a lot of family. It's especially good for sports games. Or just going to hang out with your friends. 3- The service: 6/10 now, on this point I was a little bit disappointed. The 1st day, the 2 girls were amazing. The waitress and the host. They're very kind, very polite. Suggested me stuff, but on the second day it was bad , the host gave me a place to sit. I waited for 20 to 30 minutes, but no one came to see me.So I moved placed, and one of the boys that works there told me very rude that I couldn't be there.I said okay, fine, and I left. 4- food : 9/10 The food is actually pretty good. I had the chicken wings Korean and a hamburger. It was very delicious as you can see in the pictures. They also do okay cocktails. Not the best, but okay, it's more I. Would say a beer place. 5- cleanest: 7/10 The restrooms were clean, but one toilet had an issue that was missing paper to clean your hands the table where you. They are almost always done some not but in general, it's pretty clean. Yes, I do recommend this place.
Léonardo F — Google review
Awesome place, but in the evening it's definitely a bar. The weight was going to be crazy long for a proper table so we sat at "bar seating", which really is not a spot to get a nice dinner for two. But they will serve it and it was tasty enough.
Paul S — Google review
Working with Tower 12's Manager, Eyler, to host my sister's 40th birthday party was an absolute pleasure. From suggesting what area of the bar to host 30+ people to supplying a ladder and tape to hang decorations to offering a selection of delicious appetizers to taking our group picture to providing a seamless cleanup, the team at Tower 12 gave us an A+ experience. We will definitely be back!
Sara A — Google review
Great atmosphere, it's was PACKED! small cover charge if you're just going to the bar, no fee if you want a table , but there's a wait. The music was good, the food was amazing. I would def return when I go to Hermosa beach again
Edward C — Google review
I had been to the sister restaurant The Hideaway several times and was interested to see how Tower 12 compared. The service was excellent. I had the Mac n Cheese and the Blue Fin Poki. Both were tasty 😋. The restaurant space itself is really funky. There are good spots and some places that aren't that great. Really narrow spaces and the Elevator is really primative but the staff was helpful using it. I was there for lunch on a weekday and it got busy. From the looks of it I would suspect the venue is very popular at night.
Stephen T — Google review
Tower 12 has surprising good food for a bar and their happy hour is one of the best in the area.

The Lighthouse Cafe, a historic jazz club established in 1949, has evolved to offer a diverse range of musical performances and entertainment. While it remains true to its jazz roots, the venue now showcases various genres throughout the week, providing something for every music enthusiast. From salsa dancing with lessons on Salsa Night to grooving to reggae beats and alternative rock covers, there's an opportunity for everyone to hit the dance floor.
This was my first time here and it was great! They have a patio out front and seating inside on both sides of the stage which is in the middle of store. The bar runs almost the length of the place with the restrooms and kitchen at the back. When you enter you see the front end of the bar running along the left side of the store and the stage on the right side. They have a good sound system and great lighting too. I had their burger (1/3 lb) and it was juicy and flavorful (and they use iceberg lettuce). They have a FULL BAR (cocktails, wine, beer, soda). The staff are fast, friendly and professional. Mia was my server and was fantastic! There is NO parking in front (it's a pedestrian zone), but there is parking in back. There is handicap ♿️ parking spots and the place is handicap ♿️ accessible. The hallway to the restrooms is narrow and not much maneuverability. So get there early enough for parking. Their menu is small, but it looks like they have something for just about everyone. ;)

The Lighthouse is a legendary live music venue with bar and restaurant on the Hermosa Pier Plaza. This place was world famous way before the movie.. and is known as a legendary jazz club. The musical acts they have are actually very diverse and there is something for everyone.. often having multiple bands and acts on per day. The patio is awesome but it fills up fast so be sure to get there early or book a table in advance. They have really good food with all the traditional favorites. The Lighthouse has always been about the music, and they continue the Hermosa Beach tradition of live bands, great food and drinks and awesome staff and service. We love this place and will be back again really soon!

cute little restaurant, we had to pay $10 each to get in (bc there’s a live band and it’s sunday) which i knocked a star off for but other than that the band was very cool and the food was really good! we got the chorizo nachos and lighthouse fries. also cool that the restaurant was featured in la la land.

I’ve been here for drinks/dancing and also Sunday Jazz Brunch. Recommend both! Jazz brunch is such a nice day to spend a Sunday morning, the breakfast is reasonably priced and the drinks are very good. Staff is super friendly amd the jazz duo who played both times we went was great! Will definitely be back!

Such an iconic location to enjoy music from all genres. I really enjoy coming on Monday night jazz jam sessions. The music, food, and vibe is second to none. When you walk through these doors, you step back onto history. Love the artichoke btw!

What a fun time!! It is a 21 and up place and we came on a Wednesday night when they do live music! So lively and fun!! Everyone was dancing and the performers were great, food was INCREDIBLE I got the cod tacos and I highly recommend!! Service was fast and friendly and you just walk in and get a table, no need to wait for a table or for a server, they come right to you wherever you sit

Went here for salsa and bachata night on a Tuesday while visiting from out of town and looking for a last-minute event. The usual 10:30 crowd spike doesn’t apply on Tuesdays, so it’s better to come earlier — around 9 — when the atmosphere is livelier. The music was great, mostly salsa with some bachata mixed in. The crowd leaned a bit older, and the leader-to-follower ratio was decent at one point. Drinks are available for purchase, free water is provided, and there’s a $10 cover charge at the door. Overall, a solid spot for a fun Tuesday night of dancing. Set your expectations to a low to mid level Friday/Saturday night.
Satwinder — Google review
I stopped by on my afternoon walk and date with myself. Decided to stay and watch the bands. The first one was a blues band and the second was a reggae one man band. Both were entertaining. I ordered the watermelon drink with tequila. I wished it had more watermelon in it. I also had the Mac and cheese.. not very cheesy.. and the sour dough bread with honey butter. The honey butter tasted a little organic and goat cheesy. I wasn't a fan but it was nice a crunchy. Overall the experience was nice. The waiters were very friendly and kind. I felt a little sad tonight. I met a friend there a couple years ago, and I miss that night. Wish I could go back and change things haha.

Nestled at the bustling intersection of Second Street and Pacific Coast Highway in Hermosa Beach, Saint Rocke is a vibrant music venue that has become a beloved local landmark since its inception. With a cozy capacity of 280 seats, this high-energy club has hosted over 3,000 live performances featuring both renowned artists and up-and-coming rock bands. I'm glad to be back at this wonderful venue. I have watched countless amazing bands perform over the years, and tonight was no exception. Direct from Australia Nattali Rize. She was awesome, and her band was solid throughout. Positive conscious music to uplift the spirit and soul. It was a special night.

Well worth the trip! As a 1st time experience to Saint Rocke I felt very welcomed! Brass Against was amazing and I was fully immersed in their performance. Cobi was the reason I came! The location was an excellent venue for a live band show. Staff were welcoming and provided water throughout the night. They don’t serve food so went to nearby restaurant to grab something to eat. Prior to grabbing dinner, i reserved and paid for the table of my choosing that was available. If you have no table would end up standing the whole time which is not good for my knees. The staff assured me that she will reserve for me and my party. Coming back the reserved table was given to other people. We were left to a table on the side corner below a speaker. The band was awesome but the speakers were loud with poor audio quality. It would have been bearable if we were seated at the table that was originally reserved for us.

Rude bartender... pretty positive I was drugged, as were 2 other people in our group. Drinks were very expensive. Music was great, but that was the only good part to the night.

Saint Rocke..the venue is fabulous for bands and launching new talent. The staff and sound crew were kind and very welcoming. Couldn’t ask for more. Attended the Karaoke contest to observe the talent. The only unprofessional part of the evening was the panel of judges. This panel for the month of May seemed to be a little to drunk and couldn’t keep it’ together til the end..to respect the talent who came quite away to contribute to the nights event. The judges jumped up on stage as soon as the contestants finished and instead stepping off to review the finalists list and select the winners. They decided to preform their rendition of Jack Blacks band Tenacious D’. Swearing and screaming into the mic. The other judge took the mic and went around the room tables entertaining himself with the patrons. In all several attendees left. One foot note..the MC was gracious and very professional the highlight of the evening besides the contestants. I do hope that this panel of judges isn’t what’s to come to represent Saint Rocky’s coming events…

Good vibes, felt safe, got to 100% enjoy the moment since I felt secure enough to do so. They provided free, unlimited ice cold water which is a HUGE plus for me. They are aware that it can get hot in there with all those lights and body heat so the cold water was highly appreciated. Even after a packed, busy night, all staff were friendly and kind.

South Park in Hermosa Beach is a family-friendly outdoor destination with a playground, picnic tables, and ample green space. Unlike its controversial namesake, this park offers a pristine and safe environment for families to enjoy. The unique design of the park appeals especially to children, with features like a community garden and open green spaces for exploration and play.
Hermosa's premier Park. Large and stuff to do for all ages. Unique features not all parks have. Walkway around a green area for picnics. Often busy Concrete slide is best in southbay

This is a very nice park with a BBQ area, large lawn, extremely big park with a ton of unique features. It’s currently being renovated, so a large portion of the playground structures are fenced off for the time being. I hope to come back here when it’s finished so we can check out the new additions, as well as the renovated ones.

Great park with areas for all ages. My son has been going since he was 6mo old and now almost 2. He rides his bike around the loop now and does all the slides. There is a water feature I let him play with so I always keep an extra set of clothes in the trunk.

One of the best neighborhood parks I’ve seen! While there’s something for everyone here, the unique design especially appeals to children. The area is back in the park, a ways from the busy street, ensuring a safer experience overall. It’s a wonderful land of fun, adventure, exploration and exercise! The community garden gives a green thumb a local home base, while an open green space, lends itself to a random roam pace! There’s walking trails, benches, picnic tables and tree shaded spots available for leisure use. There’s clean restrooms and parking just off the street, so park users can divvy out accordingly!

I like this park. It's not big, but it has a large lawn. Monterey Park Temperature 104 It's only 78 degrees. Very, very comfortable. But it's far from us.

My 3 1/2 year old grandson loved the big slide. It reminded me of sledding dow a hill in the winter in when I was growing up in Massachusetts. A very well constructed, maintained and fun park.

Nice park with a playground for the kiddos and a big field to play sports. There is a full paved sidewalk all the way around the field which is at least a quarter mile in circumference. The porta potties are pretty nasty and stinky with flies. So I guess that would be my only complaint, I didn't see any real bathrooms, but I heard someone mention there was a drinking fountain.

Just got a new pair of grips for my bike and loved the stuff. Customer service is perfect and they put my new grips on my bike without any extra charge. And prices are very normal for this area. Not too expensive. Everybody smiles here. I'm very happy overall

These guys are the best! I had a flat tire a few weeks ago and they were able to fix it within 10 minutes at an extremely affordable price. I’ve also had my chain fall off as I was riding on the strand and they’ve helped me out and I was able to ride back home. 10/10 would recommend.

Been here many times to get my bike serviced. The staff is always so friendly and helpful without any expectations in return. A friend of mine put my new bike together and put the front fork on backwards 😕after claiming that he knows what he’s doing and has done this many’s times before. 🤦🏽‍♀️Came to Hermosa Cyclery and they totally set me straight. Definitely the go to place for servicing your bike needs. 😃 👍🏽

Do whatever you can to make this bike valley service on Hermosa Beach happen more often. Add some e-bike charging stations, collaborate with a couple business to sell some coffee and sandwiches/pastries, you’ll be so dangerous you won’t even know what to do with all of the business.

I biked 38 miles from Hermosa Cyclery to Will Rogers State Beach and back along the bike trail for the all day cost of $24. It included a relatively secure lock and a basket for my bag no extra cost. I used the bike without gears and without the handbrake so I braked by turning the pedals backwards. I had no problems. It was one of the best days of my life!
Kyle W — Google review
Spent $450 getting my bike tuned up, only for it to stop turning on a week later after sitting in the garage. When I brought it back, they refused to fix the issue, claiming that because I “was able to ride it home,” it wasn’t their responsibility anymore and I’d have to pay for a replacement part. Extremely disappointing customer service after such an expensive visit. Won’t be coming here again.

I'll be curious to see if it'll be up and running next week.

Great location great atmosphere and great views. Staff i had were polite and friendly. I had the tri tip sandwich. Great taste with the horseradish and grilled onions. Great view up top but that's where any good feedback ends. The only option for draft beers are at least 20oz and cost $12, which is fun but if you want a regular single beer too bad. We ordered two burgers and a grilled chicken sandwich and fries came out ice cold, chicken sandwich was $17.50 and had a tiny slice of chicken on it. The service was slow since the server was covering too many tables. Our receipt came and the prices were wrong. When we pointed it out we were told "Oh those are old menus." Well... That's your problem? I'm not paying more because you couldn't be bothered to print new menus? It's what you expect out of a chain restaurant that coasts on its location. Enjoy a beer and the view here but that's it, look for food elsewhere.

We are a regular in this place; however, they are highly inconsistent with their services and customer orientation. - They publicize their "Football Deals" (attached). If you go there before any of the games start, your drinks are not included under the happy hour. You have to pay the full price. They do not mention or say this anywhere on the menu or their flyers. - Our kids usually order the burgers from the kids menus. They ask to make it happen "chilly". 99% of the time the request is fulfilled. This time our waitress told us that we have to pay an additional $2.5/person to make the fries chilly. When we told her we come every week and that this is happening for the first time, she said it is mentioned on the menu. We asked her to show it. She spent literally 5 minutes going through the menu and couldn't find it. We asked for the manager. Even the manager told us it is in the menu, but it is not... - We asked for the Fresh Orange juice they publicize also in the kids menu. However, our very "helpful" waitress told us they do not have any fresh juices because there are no oranges left in the kitchen. She offered us ready to drink minute maid lemonade. We also raised this to the manager and he told us they have oranges and he squeezed them himself. They just blatanly lie to their guests not to make any extra effort. All in all, we now try to avoid this place at all cost. Question their menu items, prices before you order. If they are doing this to a regular customer, I don't know what would happen to foreigners or tourists.

Terrific, 5 stars across the board. Happy hour here might be the best deal in Hermosa. The sliders, poke, and cheesy fries are so darn great, it will make you a repeat customer. Excellent draft beer selection of all local craft brews. Rachel B is a terrific sever and bartender. The staff is professional, courteous, and friendly. The dinner menu is highly curated. Wow!! The best salmon dish and clam chowder I've ever had! I'm surprised to see this place has a low 4.4 stars, because I'd rate it much, much higher. I had no idea I'll actually enjoy eating salmon with crispy skin on. I usually throw the skin away - but this didn't even taste like fish... it was so delicate and light, melting in my mouth. I was so pleasantly surprised ( I wish they'd serve it with a slice of fresh lemon though) The clam chowder was super delicious too!

Came in to catch a late game. Great place, cool vibe. The music is a lottle overpowering where it's hard to hear your party. The food was really good.. one real highlight is the salsa that comes with all meals. It is spicy, and I feel that it is lacking in most places that try and tone their salsa down.
Robert H — Google review
It was nice having live music while we ate dinner. Asked for mustard.. never got it. Ordered the quinoa burgers. Bland. No salt or seasonings. The menu said portobello mushrooms maybe they are incorporated into the patty. With quinoa, hummus, and some veggies, you really need seasonings and flavor. Everything tasted the same. The drink was really good.. spicy margarita. Our server never came back to our table. We had to go inside to pay.

If you’re in Hermosa, at the beach or just looking for an impromptu dinner with a friend (like we were), there are a number of “bar food” choices on pier ave. I would leave Watermans off the list. The only reason to order food here is if you really needed to soak up the alcohol you just drank while sitting on the patio or watching a game. Everything we order (Baja tacos, pulled pork sando, and ahi sandwich) were mediocre at best. The kid’s menu is limited (at best) and the cheese pizzas that showed up were not even frozen pizza quality. The thing that bothered me was after we were obviously done eating, no one bothered to clear the table. Our server (who was pleasant but dealing with a rowdier table next to us) passed by multiple times without ever even asking. Finally, after I waved her down for a check, a buser (?) offered to take the plates away. Just kinda annoying. As far as a place to get a beer, it’s no better or worse than most others in the same area, I just would go down the street to Brews Hall to eat.

I give this place a 4.5, I had the poke appetizer. The fish and rice were good, but the wontons seemed a little stale. The seared ahi salad was really good and I enjoyed the fajitas. The atmosphere was great and a nice place to people watch and listen to good music. I would definitely come back!

My most favourite place to have a drink and some food after a day at the beach. Sitting outside in the sun, watching the people go by. Very nice beer selection and the Baja Tacos with Carne are awesome! When you order a drink they immediately place some complimentary Tortilla Chips and great Salsa on the table! Great service and lovely staff!

Need a good burger and a cold one? Perfect spot. They have tons of specials all week and an awesome staff. You are a stumble away from the beach and Hermosa Beach Pier. Having so much to do in the area can really work up an appetite. The Waterman Burger is simply amazing. The fries and tots are fresh not to mention the freshly made salsa with black beans are a great complimentary starter. If you want to catch some games on the big screen, or just want to enjoy a happy hour with good classic food and a few drinks. This is the spot. Best weekly specials for those visiting during the week (M-TH)

Nestled in the vibrant Pier Plaza, American Junkie is a bustling gastropub that perfectly captures the essence of laid-back California dining. With its diverse atmosphere, it feels like three venues rolled into one: an inviting patio area for casual hangouts, a cozy side bar with a restaurant vibe, and a lively back space where DJs and bands keep the energy high.
I was in the area for work and decided to enjoy a walk along the beach and grab a bite to eat. I wanted to enjoy the sunshine, so I sat outside at one of their table tops. It’s a great place to people watch and feel comfortable. If you’re alone I ordered the steak nachos and a corona since I needed to drive home in an hour I rated this place of four because the nachos were good, but they weren’t great. My server was Helena. She was very personable and had great customer service skills. The atmosphere was fun and it was crowded inside the bar with lots of people enjoying a hockey game. I would definitely go back there.

This review is specifically about Junkie on a Tuesday. $9 all-you-can-eat tacos felt ambitious, but I was perfectly happy with just two carne asada tacos, rice, beans, and a full trip to the salsa bar. Still a total deal for nine bucks. Obviously I had to pair it with a margarita (or two), and yes—I gave in to the chaos and ordered the Junkie Cup. It’s vodka, lemonade, blue curaçao, and an entire Red Bull flipped in… totally unhinged and totally worth it. And the service? 5 out of 5! The vibe is casual, loud, a little divey, and weirdly comforting. Perfect for a low-key night that somehow turns into stories you’ll laugh about all week.

There was no reason for the bad service other than a substandard expectation. First I couldn’t get my beer because the waitress couldn’t remember what I ordered. Then it took so damn long to get a bill, then another 10 minutes.to come back with my credit card so I could actually sign and pay. The manager was standing within 5 feet of me the whole time as I asked over and over again for service at every step. This was a Friday night with max 50% capacity.

We showed up during brunch hours on Sunday, and this is a sports bar in Hermosa Beach so we fully expected there to be a crowd of folks watching the game (totally fine with us). What we did not expect was to be treated like we were less important just because we were not watching the game. My friends and I were not given access to a physical menu (also fine with us) so we relied on the digital menu from a QR code at the table - this menu is exactly the same as the one that you can see when you visit their website. For some reason the football game being on TV means that the brunch menu changes? Specifically it means that you cannot order the bottomless mimosas advertised on all of their menus. This did not make sense to us because that is the only part of the menu that changes and that is not specified anywhere. Because that was the reason we chose to go to this business, all I wanted was to ask some clarifying questions to our waitress (Natalie). First, I asked if this was going to be the case during any Sunday sporting event, which would mean that this item is pretty much never available, and she said she didn't know (that is fair, not a big deal). The problem was that this was the reason we came, but we decided to give you our business any way and just try other things your menu had to offer. Unfortunately, after this interaction Natalie could not be compelled to treat us with any decency. I tried to ask her another question, and she walked away in the middle of my sentence without a word. I'm sure its easy to read this and feel like I gave her a distasteful attitude that provoked this response, but to that all I can say is that I highly value members of the service industry work force and still tipped her 20% because that is what I believe in. I asked the question again when she brought us our food because I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt, and even though I got a response this time it was less than polite. During our meal she rarely checked on us, and at no point did she even attempt to make suggestions from the menu that may have been a good substitute for the mimosas we came for. I don't work in the food industry, and I don't know what the policies and/or management roles are at your business, but my only suggestions would be to advertise recurring changes to the menu that are influenced by specific events (I feel like you could easily specify on your menu that mimosas are not served during sporting events), and maybe encourage a more professional approach to questions among your staff. I can tell you I would not have chosen your business for our outing if I had known about this menu change, and I can say this this experience makes me unlikely to choose your business over the many other in the area. Beyond that, all I can say is that I hope any of this information matters to you or your management team.

Zoos & Aquariums
Located at the end of Manhattan Beach Pier, Roundhouse Aquarium is a free-to-enter attraction that houses over 100 marine species from Santa Monica Bay. The aquarium features four galleries where visitors can explore and learn about sea life, including interactive exhibits and animal encounters with moray eels, rays, and octopuses. It also offers summer beach camps and classes for marine enthusiasts.
It's a cool little aquarium experience. They have quite a bit of sealife. Admission is free, but donations are encouraged. It's worth a visit.
Jeff C — Google review
While checking out the area, we decided to stop in the aquarium since we were already on the pier. We realized it didn't open until 2 p.m., which seemed late to me. Since it was 10 minutes until 2, we decided to wait. Some employees started bringing stuff outside, but it was more than 10 minutes past 2 that they let people in. I get and generally love the laid-back atmosphere of Southern California, but waiting an extended period of time after opening to get in was kinda annoying, especially because we needed to leave by 3 and were concerned we wouldn't have enough time on the parking meter to see all that we wanted to see. Once we got inside, we discovered it is a free aquarium, but donations for operation are appreciated! You can make a cash or electronic donation. The aquarium itself isn't very big, but there are some neat things to see! My two highlights were seeing an octopus moving around its tank and the volunteer that was there explaining and teaching things to people! I learned a few new things while I was there! I always appreciate a chance to learn more about the world around me! The man was very friendly and did a fantastic job engaging with visitors! Overall, there were many interesting things to see and experience! However, some of the displays could be improved for a better viewing experience. Some were hard to see because of poor lighting or light glare. The octopus was my favorite thing to see but probably had the worst tank of all. The poor lighting made it more difficult to see with good clarity. There was also a working area by the tank that looked disorganized and blocked good viewing. The octopus looked to be healthy and in good shape, but it could use a bigger, better tank. I wouldn't list this as a must-see aquarium. However, if you happen to be in the Manhattan Beach area and like marine life, it's worth the look around!

Small but full of interesting exhibits! 🐠 It’s a cute little aquarium right at the end of the Manhattan Beach Pier — perfect to stop by if you’re already at the beach. Lots to see for its size, and it’s nice to just wander around and enjoy the ocean vibe. Great for kids and anyone who loves marine life!

Cute free aquarium, staff are friendly to everyone and openly speak about their creatures. Some sea life on entry level and up stairs.

I love walking down the pier and coming to this aquarium. It's a nice small aquarium that is free and has a good amount of sea life to look at. Always a great bonus after a walk and adds to the pier experience.

Excellent place, small but enough to learn about marine life. I loved seeing the jellyfish, a living creature that never ceases to amaze me with how it moves in its habitat.

Seaside Lagoon, located in Redondo Beach's King Harbor, is a popular seasonal destination offering a large saltwater lagoon for swimming. Open during the summer months from May to September, this family-friendly spot features a sandy beach, children's play area, and a snack bar. Lifeguards are on duty to ensure safety as visitors enjoy the gentle waves and amenities such as volleyball courts and picnic areas.
Nice shallow water areas for young swimmers. Few lifeguards on duty, patrolling the area as well. Slide and space for more skilled swimmers too.

Nice family friendly place. If you have little ones and want to enjoy a day at the beach without all the worries of going to the ocean this is the place. Supper kid friendly. You can bring in food, beach toys, chairs. You can reserve tables as well. Price is Fair

We've been going to seaside lagoon since the kids were really young. They keep it clean and they limit the amount of people who have access to the facility. It is great for little kids and it's a safe place to swim and get some cool breeze from the ocean. I don't know what they charge but it is nice because they have parking and easy access to the water.

I grew up there all my life it is the most beautiful area you could imagine so peaceful and beautiful. The whole surrounding regardless which way you turn and look!obviously it’s so intensely beautiful! I will continue going there wait for the tide to go down and sit on the rock 20 feet out about ankle high low tide and enjoy the serenity quietness and the wonderful people that you will come across and making friends! I do still surf that whole area depending where the surf is along the coast and if there is none the photos will find your place at our beautiful beach!
BF X — Google review
This is one place I have been disappointed with in Redondo. It’s way too congested but above all with dirty water. Nothing interesting unless if you want to see dirty water
Alice N — Google review
The was a very nice "get away" spot for the day for the kids and all. It was ample amount of space to set up. There were also tables that can be reserved for parties and barbecues! Let's not forget to mention how keen the life guard staff was about safety. Their eyes were glued to every part of the lagoon. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would and it only cost $7 for kids and $9 for adults. Lastly, you can get parking ticket validated and pay no more that $6! I promise you'll really enjoy yourself.

Such a fun place to be a kid again, take a dip and soak up the sun. If hearing children’s squeals and laughter puts a smile on your face, this place will bring you joy. If you have children, this is a wonderful place to bring them. As much as we all know that kids should always be supervised in or near water, this lagoon is relatively shallow and just loads of fun.

Sand Dune Park, located in Manhattan Beach, California, is a unique public space known for its 100-foot-high sand dune that attracts fitness enthusiasts and families alike. The park offers over 20 miles of trails through the dunes, playgrounds, picnic areas, and a swimming lake. This recreational facility showcases rare natural coastal formations and provides a habitat for native plants and wildlife. Reservations are required to visit this remarkable destination.
Just as I remember it in the late 80s but with less crowds. Just as hard as I remember it too. I did reserve my spot, which I think is a helpful way to keep it less crowded than it used to be. Hopefully those same people will come back with a reservation. It was always so motivating to run with people in better shape than I was in lol! I then walked up the stairs and down to the beach to observe people riding by. I ran into an old friend. I really enjoyed my day.

Heard about this place in Manhattan Beach from friends that used to train here back in high school so wanted to check it out. Easily found with the help of Google Maps🤙 Free parking, along with a playground and restrooms. Need a permit and pay a small fee online to use the sand dunes now. Visited during the rains so the dunes was wet but managed to get some exercise going up and down the stairs.
P R — Google review
This is a nice medium sized park with multiple walking paths and a fun sand dune that requires a reservation and a small free to use. You can get a great stair or hill workout in here! There is a limited parking lot and plenty of neighborhood street parking. There is also a well maintained playground for kids and a restroom as well.
Mayur P — Google review
You must make a reservation to enjoy this gem, which is nice as it keeps the park regulated and crowd-free. Also note that the sand does get HOT if you go too late in the day.

That dune climb is no joke, but it’s addictive. You feel your legs for days after. The adjacent playground makes it family-friendly. Reservations may be required for dune access at times. Great training spot with ocean breezes
Sam L — Google review
Great park, and a great workout! Reservations ARE required online. They cost about $3, and the staff clear everyone out each hour for the next reservation slot to start. Would recommend bringing a towel to wipe off your feet afterwards. If you go in the morning, the sand is quite cold!

It was a good workout havin been here since I was a teenager, brought back a lot of good memories
KING K — Google review
Sand Dune Park is one of my favorite natural areas in the LA Metropolitan area! Great park for workouts on the hill and for kids to play at the playground! It’s basically a multilevel park starting with the lower flat area with a parking lot, playground, picnic tables and restrooms. There’s also a long open lawn, good for playing football or any field sports among friends or family. Not so much a place for organized team sports with spectators, as the field is narrow with homes and yards alongside it. Above the lawn is a large hill with traversing pathways and lots of steps. It’s a nicely maintained natural shaded area, where some users enjoy a leisure walk and others prefer the workout. The north end of the hill is void of vegetation, as this is the sand dune, the namesake of the park! Do the dune! My friends would say, as we used jog up and down the large sand dune! It was a great warmup before going down to the beach to surf! Just blocks from the oceanfront, the park remains as one of the most natural and beautiful parks to go to in South Bay!

If you're wandering around Hermosa Beach and have a sweet tooth, make sure to stop by The Baked Bear. With cookies baked from scratch daily using top-notch ingredients and hand-scooped premium craft ice cream made with pure cane sugar, every bite is a treat for the senses. The atmosphere at The Baked Bear is inviting and organized, making it easy to navigate their menu of delicious options.
I was walking around and stumbled upon The Baked Bear, and I’m so glad I did! The concept of customizing your own ice cream sandwich with freshly baked cookies is genius. I went with a classic chocolate chip cookie with cookies and cream ice cream, and it was divine. The staff was super friendly, and the whole process was quick, even with the long line. Definitely a fun and indulgent treat if you’re in the area

This ice cream shop hit the spot 😆 the cookies with the ice cream taste so good! I got dark chocolate ice cream with cookie monster top and bottom and almonds as a topping. They ask if you would like it warmed up which I wasn't expecting and said sure. Not sure if it makes a difference. There are so many ways you can customize your ice cream here. Each topping is an additional 75 cents so it can get pricey. I got a sticky bowl so prepare to be sticky.
Kristina S — Google review
Place wasn't too hard to find after a few turns walking around the surrounding buildings. For the first time the ice cream experience here was worth finding. The Baked Bear is within walking distance to the Hermosa Beach pier. Clean and organized, practicing social distancing, and the parlour with easy instructions on how to build your Ice cream sandwiches or their Bear Bowls. Their Bear bowls each come with their own homemade cookie crust at the bottom of each bowl. You may choose your type of ice cream then top it off with a topping of your choice. Cookie sandwich is pretty much self explanatory, however they have an instructional chalkboard just above their serving counter. The young girl who served us was very polite and professional. It's a slow process on your first time, however the server was quite patient and accommodating. We'll be back for round 2 in the near future.

The Baked Bear is heaven for anyone who loves cookies and ice cream. You get to choose your cookies and ice cream flavor, and they’ll make the sandwich right in front of you. I went with a double chocolate chip cookie and cookies ‘n’ cream ice cream, and it was absolute perfection. The staff is really helpful in recommending combinations, and the location is perfect for grabbing a sweet treat by the beach

My favorite part about going to the Baked Bear is the smell when you walk in - it’s the definition of love at first smell. I was torn on what to get so I decided to try the cookie of the month (which is just the cookies and cream cookie but with blue dye - as you can see it’s Cookie Monster vibes) with the expresso ice cream. I absolutely loved the richness of flavor of the expresso ice cream with sweetness of the cookie - highly recommend! The other one I decided to try was the original cookies and cream cookie with butter brittle cake ice cream - SO GOOD! No matter the combination you decide you can’t go wrong not to mention the customer service I received was amazing - shout out to Josh! Can’t wait to come back.

Nestled in the vibrant beach town of Hermosa Beach, Hermosa Brewing Company has quickly become a beloved local hotspot since its tasting room opened in 2018. While the brewing takes place off-site at facilities in Carlsbad and Westlake, this charming venue offers a welcoming atmosphere for craft beer enthusiasts who appreciate clean brews with subtle fermentation notes.
Came in on a Monday afternoon and shout out to Jeff for making the whole experience very enjoyable and welcoming, got to sample some beers and He was very kind and helpful So I went with a westcoat IPA since they didn’t do flights so besides that it was very refreshing and delicious, the place is pretty small so if it’s packed don’t expect to be attended right away but they try their best overall so the bad reviews on here were because of that reason mainly The food was so damn good! Very impressed with the quality and portion overall , so I got the carnita fries since I didn’t want nothing heavy or massive but man they were a hit!! I was gonna try the Nashville hot chicken da but I’ll save that for next time, overall this brewery had a lot of quality food and drinks to offer and the service was very professional and top notch! Highly recommended this spot if your looking for a few brews and a quick bite, just don’t go when it’s crowded lol

Solid place for food and a craft brew. Beer menu is limited but delicious. Food is good with some chef daily specials. Had the halibut BLT special. Cook on fish could've been a bit better but in all, I'd return. And I have.

Plenty of beers on tap along with a typical southern California food menu. I ordered the Korean Tacos which hit all the right sweet and spicy notes - would recommend for sure. I was there mid afternoon on a Wed so the service, while certainly friendly, seemed a little slow at times. Not a big deal though if you're just chilling at the beach with no place to be!

Had an awesome lunch here. The food is so good. I definitely recommend trying the specials board. The beers are great, there’s something for everyone! And Rachel was such an amazing server. Every song on her playlist was a banger and she helped us after we spilled not 1 but 2 beers. Such a great afternoon, couldn’t recommend more.

Wow. This place definitely deserves the ratings it is getting. Was not disappointed in one thing. The ambiance is great. Just a block of beach in a really cool area. The food was excellent. Definitely not bar food. They have a very talented chef. Had the Brussels sprouts and they were awesome. All the food we had was a hit. Now on to the beer. It was top notch. I had a sample of all the hazys and they were very good. I even tried the Ollie which is a kolsch (I never like Kolsches) but this was fantastic. I had just visited the legendary Russian River brewery and the beers here were better as a whole. Well done. Keep up the good work.

Bruce's Beach, situated in Manhattan Beach, California, is a picturesque sandy beach offering opportunities for swimming, sunbathing, and kayaking. Nestled amidst beachfront houses and cafes, this coastal gem holds significant African-American history. Once owned by Charles and Willa Bruce, the beach stands as a symbol of resilience and perseverance. Visitors can enjoy the serene location with stunning ocean views and take leisurely strolls along the shore to the pier.
Bruce’s Beach is a historic landmark and a popular gathering spot for those looking for a getaway in the beach cities. The area features controlled parking and offers stunning vistas. The history behind Bruce's beach is something all California's should know. So much hostility over such a small sliver of land. The view though is amazing, the atmosphere has been great everything I visit and in many ways it feels like an homage to the original owners of Bruce's beach. Its an amazing place to catch the sunset.

It was a wonderful beach, wonderful people and the atmosphere was great and the waves were big. Great for surfing. No racial tension. I went on the 4th of July and it was packed. I've been here before earlier this year it wasn't packed. There is limited parking so pack lightly and you're gonna have to walk a distance. There is no food vendors just a beach ⛱️ I still recommend this beach for people who wanna ride bikes and play beach volleyball and walk the beach or get in the water.

The Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center is a large venue that hosts various forms of entertainment, including musicals, ballet, and speaker series. It boasts a contemporary lobby and offers ample space for performers to prepare in a separate area. While some attendees expressed dissatisfaction with the hosting and DJ skills during a recent event, the venue itself is well-equipped to handle large productions. However, improvements can be made in terms of managing breaks between performances more professionally and ensuring that performers have enough time for their acts.
This venue has an awesome sound system. The staff are pleasant helpful in the parking lot, the entrance and with directions to your seat. I came during Christmas holiday to see the iconic, Debbie Allen’s Hot Chocolate NutCracker. Plenty of free parking. Clean bathrooms and comfortable seating.

We attended our 2024 annual event to see The Chocolate Nutcracker. Due to a tent in the parking lot, parking was off-site, which added extra time to our arrival. When we got to our seats, we discovered that two older women, whom I referred to as "church ladies," were sitting in them. We opted to take other seats for the time being. During intermission, one of the women removed her wrap and prepared to leave it on her seat. I quietly whispered to the lady next to me, "You are in our seats." As she stood up, the other woman asked, "They don't want to switch?" My partner replied, "No, we want to sit in our purchased seats." He was aware that they were in our seats when we arrived, as the usher had escorted us there. I only realized they were in our seats at intermission, but their guilty, stiff postures made it clear they were "entitled seat stealers" reluctant to give up their great end seats. To make matters worse, my view of the first act was entirely obstructed by a very tall person seated in front of me. This was a significant disappointment, as I had zero visibility of the performance. To prevent similar incidents in the future, I suggest training ushers to quickly and quietly remove individuals who are knowingly occupying the wrong seats before they leave as these two ladies had no intention of moving.

The Redondo Beach Certified Farmers Market is a lively weekly event held every Thursday from 8 AM to 1 PM at George Freeth Way and Veterans Park West. It offers a wide array of fresh produce, baked goods, plants, and artisanal crafts. The market provides a vibrant community atmosphere with friendly interactions between vendors and visitors.
Beautiful large market direct on the beach, from 8 am to 1 pm is the perfect place to buy food to bring with you to the beach or to bring home when you come back from the beach. I was used to go to Torrence market, but now I discovered Redondo Beach Market and Hermosa Beach Market I go only to these 2 as I really like more the vendors, the environment and the vibe.

One of the great parts about living in Redondo Beach is we have 2 great farmer's markets.. and this one right on the ocean in the veteran's park lot has a great vibe and a cool cast of characters. The vendors run down the small lot right on the ocean in front of the park and then up the main lot back toward Catalina. Parking is plentiful in the main structure or on the street. The selection here is very good for a relatively small market, and prices seem to be just about the same as Torrance. They have some good hot food vendors down toward the east end, and their are crafts and all the produce you could want. This market almost seems like a street fair or party and everyone is socializing and having a great time. Very well organized this location feels safe and secure.. and is generally not super crowded and insane to get in and out.. it is a more peaceful leisurely time where you can actually relax and enjoy yourself in the ocean breeze and support a great local market. Our favorite flower vendor is always here and the Mexican food is also great.. tamales rock.

Decent farmer’s market; the place that sells kettle corn is the best!! Great flavors and wonderfully sassy lady running it! Enjoyed her immensely. Signs say dogs not permitted, however, there were several dogs within the market boundaries.

They have some great vendors, some hot and ready food, some produce. I got a pastry from this Italian lady selling baked goods and it was excellent. Only reason I leave 4 and not 5 is that they don’t allow dogs in an outside market with ample room which is ridiculous. Says according to health guidelines but almost every other market I’ve been to has no issue.

Had an awesome time vending at the Farmers Market for our company, Kokomoos Coconut Mylk! From the moment I set up the booth, I felt supported by the other vendors, and everything ran smoothly.... huge thanks to Nancy, the market manager, for being so helpful and welcoming. The ocean breeze was amazing, but heads up for vendors: bring tent weights! One vendor’s booth got taken out by a surprise gust 😬 The crowd was fantastic.. friendly, curious, and loyal. A bunch of people have already become regulars, stopping by to say hi, share how much they love our products, and stock up for the week. It was also great introducing Kokomoos to people genuinely excited to try something new. Hope to be back soon! 🥥🌴

The Redondo Beach Thursday Farmers Market at Veteran Park is one of our favorites — close to the West Coast office. Riley Arts Gallery, located in Manhattan Beach, offers excellent framing services for original artwork. The staff is incredibly helpful and accommodating when it comes to selecting frame designs that match the desired vibe and energy of each piece. The gallery's central location makes it convenient for customers, with easy street parking available. Their high-quality work is done with great attention to detail, leaving customers extremely satisfied with the end result.
Kim worked on some personal framing for me and my family, taking care of very special memories and photographs and immortalised them into some beautiful frames we will cherish forever. We actually moved internationally before the framing was complete and she was so accommodating, helping us with the packing and shipping which required a lot of patience and kindness! 11/10 experience with Riley Arts Gallery

I have been fortunate to use the services and expertise of both Kim and Kelly at Riley Art. From the first simple purchase of selecting a completed piece hanging in their showroom, to the challenging and fun task of selecting 5 pieces that Kim patiently searched, located, advised ( and educated myself on the selections ) and flawlessly framed, matted and had delivered. Thx you both for your patience, providing your experience and knowledge in assisting in the selection of the amazing pieces I now showcase in my home. Thx you, Antonio

I have now taken 5 art pieces to Riley Arts for framing, and could not be more happy with their work. The staff are amazing, and super helpful in picking frame designs. Located right in the heart of Manhattan Beach, with easy street parking. Definitely recommend them!

Stumbled into this gallery four years ago while strolling along Manhattan Ave killing some time. And then again this past Wednesday afternoon. Would I remember from so many years ago? Yup. The location and its ambassador(s)Kim & Kelly would be difficult (and a shame ) to forget. Little did I know that while killing time I was also being renewed, in a sense, a sense of wonder at some fabulous visual pieces that catches the eye and triggers the smile. the gallery hold items small enough to adorn your desk to framed prints that can adorn your walls (in any room). You'll know the perfect print for the perfect room when you see it - and there is a LOT to see. This recent visit I was honoured to be privy-ed to "look over the shoulder", of what was obviously a loyal customer (friend). Kim revealing some recent purchases that had just come in with discussions to final preparations. What a wealth of knowledge! But not just a "telling" of what would be done, but more importantly, a discussion with the client, illustrating the many options available; creating the right look and feel for the final destinations. Always providing information so that the Client could share his thoughts and needs and make the right decision for HIM. No up-sell. No false sense of urgency. Just a text-book-example of REAL Customer Service (more listening than speaking). What a privilege. If you get the opportunity to explore Riley Art Gallery you MAY walk out having purchased a piece that makes you smile but you WILL walk out having discovered more; knowing more and, happily, wanting more (trips to come and visit again). Continued Success!

The Hermosa Beach Museum is a charming historical society that offers a glimpse into the local heritage through archival photos and more. Housed in a former high school building, it was also used as a film set for the movie "Carrie" in 1976. Visitors can explore surf history, retro posters, vintage photographs, and artifacts showcasing the area's rich cultural legacy. The museum provides an inviting atmosphere with knowledgeable staff who are passionate about sharing the region's history.
This place is absolutely amazing if you ever get a chance to stop by they filmed the movie Carrie here and you can see the bathroom where they have that there's the beach volleyball Hall of Fame there's all kinds of stuff here see the pictures for more they're the kindest best people you ever meet always love that kind of an atmosphere very inviting and very good culture

Nestled in the charming community of Hermosa Beach, Valley Park is a delightful escape that spans over 5 acres. This petite yet inviting park offers a perfect blend of nature and recreation, making it an ideal spot for families and nature lovers alike. With its lush greenery, towering trees, and well-maintained picnic areas, visitors can enjoy leisurely afternoons soaking up the sun or engaging in friendly games of soccer. The playground at Valley Park is particularly appealing to families with young children.

Nice open park with a playground, basketball court, large grassy area, and mature trees offering good shade. There are picnic tables, plenty of parking, and restrooms on site. I've also seen dogs enjoying the open space, running freely on the grass. Great spot to relax or play.

Lovely neighborhood park in Hermosa Beach — decent size and beautifully maintained. There are clean bathrooms, a nice playground (with equipment for younger and older kids), and a basketball court with metal backboards and rigid hoops. The court doesn’t have lights, though the promenade/path around the park is lit at night. There’s also a very well-kept picnic area with picnic tables and even two sinks, which is a great touch. Street parking is free, though it can fill up quickly depending on the time of day. Dogs on leash are welcome, and it's a beautiful neighbourhood to walk through as well. Few blocks down, you can reach the beach too and continue with a nice stroll there.
F T — Google review
Share your love with the neighborhood. Play and grill out. I've spent many mornings basking in the early sun, still a little green from the night before. It's a good cheerful place with small happy voices to lay around and get your sea legs back.

Valley Park appears to be the largest park in Hermosa Beach but I could be mistaken. It was fairly busy on Memorial Day weekend but not superbusy. The facilities are above average with a large playground, picnic area and up to date toilet facility with a purpose built water dispenser. The area is nice and fairly safe. The one negative is the 4 stop intersection(Ardmore, Valley & Gould sts.)next to the park is very congested and dangerous with many bad drivers speeding, failing to stop at the stop signs and not paying attention to pedestrians and bicyclists; so be careful if you're in the latter two groups entering or exiting the park. Recommended.

Valley Park, located in a residential area of Hermosa Beach is just adorable. It it not huge, but a good size. It is known well by the locals. My grandson and I happened upon it on a drive one day. It is so pretty. It has lovely trees and a full area of kids things to do. The place is kept super clean and it is a very safe park. What is super cool is the ice cream truck comes by every day and it will take you back to childhood. There is something to do for everyone and if you just want to relax, there is plenty of space to lay out a blanket and have lunch or do whatever you want. We love this place.
Elizabeth L — Google review
We took our niece's husband and daughter, as well as her grandmother and grandfather there after a dinner in Manhattan Beach at Pancho's restaurant. We sat at one of the many picnic tables to have dessert. We decided on Valley Park after I told them about the times I visited a good elementary school friend who has an uncle who lived nextdoor to the park. It's an oasis in a beach town that's an oasis for families. It was great times.
Gene S — Google review
I love seeing parks with people and that was how Valley Park looked like on a Sunday morning. Not a big park, every piece of the park is used and enjoyed by locals, from the playground to basketball court to picnics on grass. The park is nicely located by the Hermosa Valley Greenbelt and not too far way from the beach. So it's super convenient if you want a walk by the ocean or in the shade.

The Strand in Hermosa Beach is a picturesque oceanfront pathway that offers stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. It's a popular spot for leisurely strolls, jogging, cycling, and enjoying the coastal atmosphere. The area is surrounded by prime beach destinations including Manhattan Beach and Redondo Beach. Visitors can start their journey at the pier and head north toward Manhattan Beach for a scenic experience. The location also offers various activities such as beach volleyball, windsurfing, and exploring beautiful houses along the coast.
Great beach, nice part of the beach for rollerblading or skateboarding, similar to Venice beach, otherwise like that whole part along the coast to Santa Monica. Lots of beautiful houses/cottages along the coast, restaurants and bars. A nice idea to spend the day on the beach with some sport, say beach volleyball or windsurfing. Parking is mostly in parallel streets and is paid at the machine with change.

We visited on a Thursday around 7pm and got to see the best sunset. Metered parking was easy to find, it wasn't crowded. This beach is gonna be my new favorite.
KOKO O — Google review
I’ve enjoyed taking in the Strand beach path by bike, continuing on along this beautiful stretch! Here I feel safe from motorized vehicles, as they’re restricted from access. It’s also a nice walking and running path, mindful of the passing bikes. The scenic pathway provides awesome ocean and beach views with the ocean air environment, great for taking the bikes to when inland temperatures are up! During late fall and winter, the ocean views from here can include the distant clouds of incoming cold fronts. And since the ocean’s flat, we can see far off into the horizon what may be. I’d suggest sun protection when out on the Strand, since visitors can be out in the open for the duration. Being that the Strand is alongside the public beach, the same amenities usually apply. There’s lot’s of metered street parking, public restrooms along the beach side and trash containers, encouraging users to keep it clean!

Linda was awful refused to get rid of hundreds of ants, all 3 of her places connected to this rental had to be bombed for ants, washer got rust all over our clothes, refused to fix ice maker had zero ice and had to light stove with a lighter. I have videos of everything, would never stay at any of their places on the strand in hermosa. Awful experience. We rented for 4 months, they also charge for utilities but do not disclaim that when quoting pricing. We were lied to quite often during the entire process. They do not like to fix anything, instead of fixing the microwave, they just have new one sitting on top of counter and kept broken one in kitchen. They also rent for less than a month at a time and that is against hermosa rules. They have been reported to the city multiple times.

Hermosa Beach Library, situated in the heart of Hermosa Beach and managed by the LA County Library, offers a wide range of print and online collections. It provides diverse programming for children, teens, and adults as well as public access to computers with a library card. The library has become an important resource for individuals facing challenging circumstances. Despite some minor issues with furniture maintenance, visitors appreciate the friendly and helpful staff.
I like this local library. I wouldn't come here to study and it is always packed and not that private.BUT I love getting books via the Los Angeles Library system and picking them up. The librarians are all friendly and helpful. I sometimes browse on the shelves as they do rotate some books in as well. Overall it's a nice library. Also they always seem to have kids and teen events. Would appreciate more adult events ... think that is a bit underrepresented but it's a small library so they already do an awesome job with it!

Better at Beach Volleyball offers a fun and energetic camp experience with passionate coaches who take a lighthearted approach to teaching. Whether you're a hobbyist looking to improve your game or an intermediate player aiming to compete against more advanced opponents, this camp provides the opportunity to identify and enhance technique, offense, and defensive skills. Participants quickly bond with fellow players during social events like New Year's Eve dinner parties.
I am 26 years old. I was told that my skill level is lower B. What I wanted to get from the camp was to get better with my shape, platform, and footwork to help me pass and set the ball better. Coach Brandon Joyner covered all of them and gave us great tips, and coaching on how to implement them. They showed us all effective drills to help us implement the mechanics. My concern before signing up, I was worried that I will not get better in a short period of time because 3 days is too short to learn everything, but, the better at beach camp was systematically design to actually get better! Coach Brice Paxson, Coach Alex Kaiser, and Coach Tomas Goldsmith are super talented, and passionate about coaching. I am honored to meet all of these powerhouse coaches who are super humble, and they treated us like a family and they served as backbone of this camp. They all gave me an honest and transparent, and customize feedback that helps me to get better. My experience was more than a 5 star! I cannot wait to do this camp again.
Jocas S — Google review
Mark and Brandon are incredible coaches with a lot of experience, and they truly know how to connect with every player. Whether you’re just starting out in beach volleyball or looking to take your game to the next level, this is the perfect place to be.
Kristina S — Google review
Wrapped up my first weekend camp, it was great. I didn't have any expectations, just wanted to learn a bit more about defense, came away with a lot more. I'm 36, BB player most days and thought I had a pretty decent understanding of the game, but turns out I have a whole heck of a lot to learn. Solid mix of new players and experienced players. The coaches were phenomenal, they covered everything from warmups to drills to mindset, very hands on, it was amazing to hear from guys who have competed or are competing at an elite level. Genuine dudes just looking to help you and improve the sport. They broke my game down, now I get to rebuild and redefine my game. 10/10 would go again and recommend you do as well, go hungry to learn. Brandon, Joe, Matt, Kevin thank you for taking the time. I'll be looking for you at Manhattan Beach.
Mitch B — Google review
I can’t recommend this experience enough! The coaches go above and beyond! not just in teaching, but in giving you the time and space to truly implement what you’re learning. The environment was incredibly patient, supportive, and encouraging from start to finish. Before coming to this camp, I had never hand set before. I always opted to bump pass instead. But by the end, I couldn’t believe the confidence I had behind my second touch! What stood out most was the variety of skill levels, from beginners to advanced players. Everyone walked away having gained something valuable. The drills were awesome well thought out, engaging, and full of opportunities to grow and improve. Ian, Tomer, and Brandon were incredible at providing feedback that was not only constructive but totally digestible. Their coaching style made everything click. I’m already looking forward to the next one!

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with my first Better at Beach camp. I am in my 50s, had two knee replacements and a sore shoulder. I am slower and achy, and was concerned about being able to hold up in camp. So, I signed up for the 3 day camp. The coaches were AMAZING, kind, encouraging and gave great tips and feedback. I did not feel marginalized (other than in my own head) about not being able to perform. But after the first day, after settling into my group, I started feeling better, not so overwhelmed and tried to focus on 1 or 2 things for each session. I got wonderful tips to help my shoulder pain and correct my swing. My primary goal in going was to learn the technique of beach setting. My FAVORITE take away was learning the net protector system. Since I can’t block or jump, this was an ingenious way of allowing short people or people who cannot block to feel valuable in formation. I will definitely sign up for another camp to build on what I learned. The participants there were extraordinary kind too! Volleyball people are awesome!

Better at Beach is a truly incredible organization that has something for everyone! In this review I'll give a few highlights from my recent journey from being super fit to not so fit, and how BAB helped me keep volleyball in my life! A couple of years ago, I did the 5 day camp in St. Pete (which was amazing), but I was forced to take a break from volleyball afterwards due to some health issues. I reached out to Mark in the middle of my health drama for some guidance, and he turned the answer into a whole podcast!!!!! It was not only very good advice, but it was also very touching and helped me get through a hard time. Now that I'm finally playing again, I took advantage of the day pass option to attend the Vegas camp and give myself something to work towards and see how my body held up. (I highly recommend this if you want to just give one day a try and if you like checking out new locations) Vegas went well, so I signed up for all 3 days of the Va Beach camp. During this camp, I realized just how far I'd been set back with my time off and I asked the coaches for some guidance in regards to this. It is hard to put words to how incredibly supportive, compassionate, and insightful the coaches were for the entire weekend after this question. Alex, Brice, Bryant and Brandon gave tips on how to stay in the game when we don't come into it with perfect fitness. Whether that's because someone is older or getting over an injury, it was just absolutely incredible how they were able to tailor the training to EVERYONE! Alex was my coach most of the weekend and to compare our group from Friday to Sunday you just wouldn't think that amount of improvement was possible. I came home so pumped that I signed up for 2 more camps! They have made volleyball instruction so accessible by having camps all over the country, offering courses online, and going through so many topics with pros on their podcast! I highly recommend everything they have to offer!!!!

I had such a great experience at the Better at Beach one-day camp ( it was actually 3 days but I could only participate in one). Everything was super organized, and the atmosphere was both fun and focused. Coach Ian was amazing—friendly, humble, and so approachable. I’m a lower intermediate player (just moved up last month!), and I’ve only been playing beach volleyball for a year. I’ve been practicing a lot, but after this camp, I truly feel like I’ve taken a big step forward. One thing that really stood out to me was how Coach Ian took the time to help me with my float serve, even though it wasn’t part of the formal program. I was having some trouble with it and asked him for a few pointers. He patiently gave me a few minutes of his time and shared some great tips. That kind of dedication and kindness really impressed me. Thank you so much to the whole team—I learned a lot and I’ll definitely be back! 🙏🏐

I am 32 years old I learned playing pickup so I don’t actually know my level. I just put B. I wanted to figure out my fundamentals and figure out as much as I could in order to elevate my game! Coach Ian and Jasmine were awesome at answering all my questions and making it a great experience. My only complaint is that it wasn’t long enough. I definitely would like to sign up for one of the 5 day camps next time!

Noble Park is a well-maintained and hygienic recreational area, situated near Pier Street and a nearby plaza. While the neighboring restaurants can get crowded, making it challenging to find seating, this park is an ideal spot for enjoying small, basic, or quick meals. It serves as a convenient pitstop during Beach-e-Biking adventures along the bike path. Moreover, visitors can apply sunscreen while at Noble Park, which is close to Beach House Hotel and the breakfast place Good Stuff.
Super Clean Park! Love coming here for eating food that I buy on Pier Street or in the nearby plaza. The nearby restaurants can become very crowded and difficult to find a seat to eat at. But if you are getting something small or basic or fast, then Noble Park is a great place to stop at to eat. During my Beach-e-Biking adventures I will stop here to eat or drink before continuing on down the bike path. This is also a great place to put on some sunscreen too. Beach House Hotel is nearby as is the breakfast restaurant “Good Stuff.” The park is always clean and seems to be filled with mostly people who are happy and cheerful and respectful of others.

The park is tiny and it’s in the middle of Manhattan and Hermosa Beach. There’s a few benches, plants, and palm trees. It has a small walkway to walk around the park or you can walk the Strand which is the long pathway connecting the two beaches. There are no picnic tables, playground, or BBQ pits so it’s not an official park. This is just a good spot to catch your breath if you’re running or walking on the Strand.

Nice little park but sometimes I see some dog owners letting their dog pee or more in the sand area next to the strand right were kids are supposed to play. Very unsanitary! Dog owners who do that should be fined and the sand at their expense replaced!

I live half a block away from the park. The kids in the neighborhood love it. I played there when It first opened up years ago...I am now 50 years old.
Guadalupe G — Google review
It's a very nice small park, but the bad the people don't take care , we're the goalkeeper stand are destroyed on both sides of the park

Park
Fort Lots-o-Fun Park is a family-friendly playground located near Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center. The park features an enclosed area with a large wooden gate, giving it the feel of entering a fort. While there are no swings or bathrooms currently available, the park offers a nice play structure and a small path inside. It also boasts an ocean view and is in the process of building new facilities.
Cute, small, fully enclosed pocket park. What you see is what you get. We got there at 9:30 on a Saturday and totally empty
Adam U — Google review
Good park with a nice play structure and a nice view of the ocean. Looks like they are working on building something else in there as well. It is nice that it is enclosed by a giant, cool looking fence. There is also a small path that goes around on the inside. Signs say no pesticides used at the park. No swings and no bathrooms.
W B — Google review
Awesome place enclosed by a fence which is always a win when you have small children. The only drawback is there's no restroom however they are in the process of building one now and when it is complete it'll be an awesome little Park not very big it's for small children.
Angela M — Google review
The entrance and surrounding views of the ocean are awesome. The park itself is just OK. Kids should live this place.
David R — Google review
It's a great park in the way that it's all fenced in but not so great because of trip hazards throughout. There's also a big "dip" in one corner so kind of "rollaway" risk. It says the structure is meant for 5-12 year-olds but I can honestly not see the fun in it for anyone over 5-6 years... Also very windy most days and piping hot on Summer days.
Sandra O — Google review
For kids age 5 - 12. No swings, but it does have a bathroom with a sink and a toilet and a kid sized toilet. Little shade, but a view of the ocean.
Chris K — Google review
Nice quite little park hidden in the middle of a neighbourhood, with a great view of the of ocean. Apparatus is fun, but a little dated (paint flaking). Shame the bathrooms are being repaired right now 26.4.23
E-n M — Google review
This is a great neighborhood park. It was redone a few years ago and has fun equipment for the kids. Enjoy a coffee at the hillside bench or picnic at one of the two tables while you enjoy an ocean view. Probably best for kids 2-8.

Park
Great small park for playing basketball. There are four hoops, and at least one is usually available. Parking can be challenging though - especially on street sweeping days.
Kelly M — Google review
just grass and a basketball court but sometimes that’s all you need i suppose. the cool name made me think it was gonna be a cooler park.
Charisma B — Google review
Lovely oasis. Large set of basketball courts caressed by surrounding grass, trees, bushes, and a few shaded seating areas. Suitable for kicking a soccer ball around or just sitting quietly.
Tim K — Google review
Good for basketball. Grass area now mud because they over water the grass. They put in a new sprinkler controller and haven't programmed it correctly. Heads also need adjustment.
Michael U — Google review
Wish there was a bathroom but it's a great park for the surrounding neighbors to bring their animals. Also great basketball courts.
Lissette M — Google review
Nice little park with two basketball courts and a grassy area to let your dog or kids run around.
Nick R — Google review
Its a pretty nice little cozy park i like how it is surrounded by houses. Traffic may be an issue sometimes, and its also a little bit hard to find if you are not a local.
Kevin B — Google review
They have boards with nails covering two of the baskets in order to prevent gatherings, however it only makes it worse and doesn't give us space to distance ourselves

Well very interesting art studio. Will be curious to watch other displays ahead.

The coolest amazingest art experience you'll ever have! A widely varied range of styles come together to create fantastic shows that never fail to impress. The Shockboxx team not only curates talent that is beyond, they have curated a community of the kindest, most generous artists and appreciators you can possibly find. I highly recommend. My favorite place.
James F — Google review
This is a professional art studio, they constantly have different shows. Some shows are solo shows where some shows are a collaboration between different artists.. I can say you will find extremely unique art here, a couple weeks ago they had a great show that was about Death, then last weekend they had a dancer that also did painting while she danced.. very different art for sure!
Tom B — Google review
Cozy studio space that is constantly rotating the shows and has a really engaged community of artists. Mike who runs the shows is a gem of a guy
Mike C — Google review
If you like engaging your mind. This is the art gallery to check out in the South Bay. A great beginning to your night out, just a couple blocks from the beach, restaurants, and night life afterwards. Dig it!

Park
Giant sandbox, pocket park. Small but fun. Geared to younger ages. Maybe 5 to 2 years.
Adam U — Google review
This is a cute, small park. You cannot really see the ocean but there are a couple of swings, a tunnel, a train and a play structure for kids to play on. It is gated which is good for little ones. The structure isn’t our favorite, but the train was pretty cool.
W B — Google review
Reminds me of the neighborhood parks in Germany. Plus a water feature! Perfect for all kids to spend time in and be creative with play, but especially a big hit with my 3yo. Especially perfect for 1-3 since it’s gated. I didn’t notice a view but all of the greenery is well maintained and beautiful.
Alison H — Google review
The park is very kid friendly and there are toys for every kid to play with. The mothers I came across today brought toys and only shared with select kids. They told my grandson they were excluding him from sharing and made him cry. They were a pathetic group of micro managing bullies. Leave your toys at home if you do not want a small toddler who approaches you to play with the toys you brought in clear view.
Sally L — Google review
Just kid and nanny hub… usually a go to of Nannies with their child to care…
Arnie T — Google review
Good for really little kids. It's small and local to the neighborhood. Parking will likely be bad, but maybe you can find a spot. All sand..climbing attraction, can't remember what else, was just walking by.
Howard B — Google review
Park is small. More for toddler children. Gated all around, so kids can't wonder off. Only thing is that there are no restrooms. So kids might have accidents, if not taken before you visit this park.
Paulina H — Google review
Great park for younger kids! The kids like the Sand, grassy areas, and toys. I appreciate the fully enclosed area and shade.
