Great place to eat and relax in an old school restaurant. There are signed photos and trophies from guests dating back the middle of the last century. The service is impeccable. The drinks are delicious. In an area where Mexican food is abundant and available in a variety of choices this restaurant is unique. They have stayed true to their Mexican American style. It reminds me of the 1970’s That’s a good thing. So if you are curious, go check it out. I am sure you will enjoy yourself.

It is very nicely decorated Mexican restaurant with many booths and tables and sports bar. I just tried their fish tacos and their tomato based soup. Both were definitely good. Tacos were quite large and filling. It was like half a burrito in weight. The salsa served with corn chips are very good as well. Slightly spicy. Parking is available on the street and in the rear.

A great old school neighborhood Mexican place with a lot of character. I had the chicken mole and did not expect a half chicken! It was delicious, the mole sauce coated everything just right. We also got the burrito combo and the size, a flavor, was impressive. Service was friendly; drinks were good and prices are more than fair.

Our absolute favorite place for Mexican in the South Bay and definitely in our top overall restaurants as well. Always fresh food, great service and can’t beat ambiance every visit! We’ve never had a bad or even subpar trip. I’d suggest getting reservations as it’s a super popular spot for dinner but even when we’ve walked in, the wait is never egregious. Can’t recommend highly enough for locals and out-of-towners alike!

We had a lunch reservation for 12 on a Sunday. It was loud as they were having a private event nearby with live music and the service staff kept leaving the party room doors open. We asked them twice to shut the doors to the room. I don't know what happened on this day, but the service was subpar. It took 20 minutes to take soft drink orders and then some of them were not delivered for 45 minutes. In fact, some of the food arrived before drinks. When I mentioned it to a waiter how long it was taking he got snippy with me. Almost everything we requested during the course of the meal took anywhere from 10 to 15 minutes to receive. The food was pretty decent although mine was a little bit lukewarm. Although the same location, this was not the same Red Onion I grew with as a kid nor the one I visit when I am in the area once a year so I'm just gonna give them the benefit of the doubt and call it a one-off. I will return next time I'm in the area visiting family (their Mole sauce is the best) but I think I'll keep the party down to maybe five people at the most.

While spending a few days in and around LA, I stumbled upon Nelson’s at Terranea Resort, a place that turns out to be well-known and genuinely loved - not just by resort guests, but by locals too. I kept hearing people speak fondly of events and live concerts held in and around it, and now I get why. Nelson’s has that sweet blend of indoor, outdoor, and semi-covered seating, all set in an unpaved, shore-side setting, where the sound of the waves becomes part of the atmosphere. Whether you’re tucked inside or lounging outside, the vibe is relaxed and effortless. The service is warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful, the kind you notice for the right reasons. The kitchen offers a solid lineup of familiar, comfort-driven menu items, with generous portions and no unnecessary complications - think elevated classics done right. What really sets Nelson’s apart, though, is the environment. There's a cool, coastal-meets-Mexican-siesta kind of energy, with open fireplaces, soft lighting, and laid-back cocktail chairs scattered about like an invitation to chill. It feels less like a restaurant and more like a casual oceanfront hangout that just happens to have great food and even better views. A perfect spot for an easy meal, a drink at sunset, or a low-key evening by the fire. Definitely one to return to.

We were very disappointed with our experience at Nelson's. To start, be prepared for mandatory valet parking, which costs $15. We would also strongly advise making a reservation, as we were quoted a 45-minute wait for a table without one. The location and the ocean view are truly the only highlights, but even that is not guaranteed depending on your table. Unfortunately, the rest of our experience did not live up to the setting. The menu was surprisingly limited and more akin to a casual beach shack or a diner, which felt completely out of place with the resort's otherwise upscale ambiance. The quality of the food was a significant letdown. It was so poor that we didn't even want to finish our meals. Considering the high prices, the value for money is simply not there. We left feeling that we paid a premium for a nice view, but received a very subpar dining experience. We cannot recommend this restaurant.

Exceeded my expectations! Went for a casual Monday afternoon walk and spontaneously ended up at Nelson’s—wow. My husband and I shared the Shrimp and Lobster Cobb and it was amazing. There was a generous about of lobster and shrimp. We also had the poke bowl. Everything was so fresh. The view and vibe were perfect for a nice lunch.

Food was amazing. I had the lobster roll(hot). I’m super picky and it was perfect. Not very Big though but stuffed with lobster. The fries were amazing. I heard the brisket sandwich wasn’t great but I loved my meal. The atmosphere is amazing if you get a seat cliff sode !

I went to Nelson's for a late lunch on Saturday, and there was a long line even after 3 pm. I ordered Nelson's burger with Caesar salad, and it was perfect. With a cool breeze from the sea, the tables were well covered by umbrellas, and we were all super comfortable. Looks like there was a staff shortage, which may be why the restaurant uses only part of the tables. The service is attentive and top-notch. Would come back again if I have a chance to visit the area.

Be careful with your bill — they will overcharge you for items you never ordered. Always ask for an itemized bill and double-check before you pay. The female server with glasses, working in the outdoor area, named “Kaiser,” messed up our bill four times and never apologized. We ordered four different courses, but they charged us for two of each while only serving us one of each. On top of that, they added an extra course that we never ordered. This was clearly intentional, not a mistake. The management is terrible as well. We also ordered two different tacos but were only served one. When we questioned it, the server insisted we had already eaten both — unbelievable! To make matters worse, the server twice brought us food meant for the next table, and we had to point out it wasn’t ours. This is not just a mistake — it feels like fraud. Keep a close eye on your order and your bill One thing positive, the view is good! And food was good too

For seafood lovers, the Friday Seafood Extravaganza at catalina kitchen at Terrenea may be a good way to spend an evening eating all the sushi, crab legs, scallops, and poke you’d like. Came here with my family during a staycation and made a reservation in advance. It’s $85 per person and you can charge it to the room if you’re staying at the property or with credit card. Indoor and outdoor dining available. There is a kid’s buffet area with wings, pizza, mac & cheese, etc. as well as meat options (ie prime rib, tomahawk, Mary’s chicken). The dessert bar was well stocked and they have ice creams as well. The mango sorbet was the surprise hit of the night and my family went back for seconds (and thirds). It is good for large parties as well as for special occasions, though many people were dressed casually. Overall, this was a spot to go to if you’re hungry and looking to eat at a fancier buffet. The service and views (outside) make up for the abysmal food. Microwaved bread, over-sauced meat and fish, and instant mashed potatoes are never okay especially at a place that is (seemingly) so nice. A good wine list and interesting beer menu are also on offer. Overall, a great place for a drink but avoid the food at all costs.

Highly recommend this location for excellent service, great views, and great food. My family and I have been coming to Catalina Kitchen because of the great service received by Server Mota, Elly, and Louisa. Mota has a great sense of humor and always connects with my son and Father in Law. I recommend the Sunday brunch due to the selection. Say hello to Jerry, one of the Managers who always wants to know about your experience. Daniel at the bar makes excellent drink. Ask him for the Daniel Special, a passion fruit martini. This is a 5* location for my family and I.

It certainly has its charms, but has taken a few steps backwards in 2025. The venue can be excellent when being seated outside in nice weather. The food used to be interesting and really solid, but this year the menu underwent changes that eliminated some favorites without any obvious upgrades. Also now gone (and missed) is a small but delightful happy hour menu. Added was a very mediocre dinner buffet. Basically, if you are staying at the hotel, certainly give it a try, but the value of the experience no longer justifies a 'dinner out' trip for locals.

We kicked off our visit to Terranea with dinner at Catalina Kitchen and enjoyed it so much that we nearly made it our go-to spot for the rest of our stay. Instead, we went four times in three days 🤣 The food was fantastic—well-executed, creative, and elevated Californian cuisine, with layers of flavor that were still light enough to feel healthy! My partner has Celiac, and they did a great job ensuring his safety. Literally everyone we spoke with was well-versed in gluten-free options and took it seriously, helping us navigate safe choices. Jerry, the manager, and the entire staff were exceptionally warm and attentive. We will definitely be back on future visits.

This is an update to a previous post. We were a party of 12 celebrating a birthday. The food and atmosphere was lovely. The appetizers, the California salad and the seafood were delicious. Unfortunately our waiter was overwhelmed and the service was an issue. This lead to many mistakes and confusion with the bill. I paid for the over charges because it was late and everyone wanted to leave. I came back before checking out of the hotel and spoke to the manager Giselle. She was absolutely wonderful. She listened to the entire saga, went over the bill with us item by item, then went to her manager and had everything rectified. She even went over and above by comping us lunch which we said was unnecessary, but she insisted. We truly appreciated the restaurant going to such lengths to ensure we had a great experience.

One of the nicest restaurants that I’ve gone to in a while this place is absolutely amazing. The staff and service are definitely five star. The food is delicious meticulously prepared. The staff was very knowledgeable about all the drinks and the recipes. Definitely coming back on my next visit to this area.

3 stars strictly for the views, would never go eat there again. We went for our anniversary brunch on a Sunday and wish we had eaten at a different restaurant within the resort. It was a course menu (not sure if that’s only on Sundays), but everything was lackluster and subpar for the $100/pp price. The steak, the spaghetti, the dessert - all things that are pretty difficult to mess up, but somehow this place managed to ruin everything that came out the kitchen that day. Service was slow due to a large party the restaurant was accommodating, but the wait staff was very nice. Outside of the view and proximity to the ocean, there is nothing about this place that justifies the price.

Loved the ocean views! The resort was beautiful, the surrounding areas were also quite nice. The food was outstanding. And so was the service! We loved our experience there and plan on returning.

Came here to try the Sunday brunch. They used to be named Catalina kitchen last time I came here with different menu. The food was good and bit pricey but worth the visit as not many comparable experiences you can get in an exclusive resort with ocean view reminding south of France. My fiancé and I came here for our engagement dinner and it was an amazing experience to say the least. Our server Felix went above and beyond to make sure that we had a night to remember. He started off by seating us outside next to a glass fire heater with the most amazing view of the moonlight over the water and Cliff side lights. He then recommended we start off with some Barada cheese, Spanish artichokes and the most amazing bread service you can ever imagine. For dinner, she had the lobster risotto which is just superior to anything we've had before and I chose the coastal lamb that was simply just the tastiest I've ever had. By that time we were filled to the point where we couldn't think of dessert, but he still insisted on bringing us out some cheesecake that I still think about in my dreams. I can't stress enough that Felix had made that night amazing and treated us like family from the very beginning. It doesn't get any better when it comes to the customer service. He is simply the best!!!! 100/10 Experience!!!! If you're looking for the best service for your special night be sure to ask for Felix!!!!!!

The drive to bashi at the Terranea Resort was incredible. Definitely try to get seated outside, since the view of the cliffs next to the ocean were incredible! It will make you feel like you are sitting along the Sicilian coastline. The sushi was great and the staff were very friendly. Overall it was the perfect romantic dinner.

My girlfriend and I drive out all the way from Huntington Beach to visit Bashi at the Terranea Resort. The coastline atmosphere where this place is located is an absolute dream. Perfect to escape the hustle and bustle rat race within the city life, beautiful for romantic dates. The food quality here is superior, every dish presentation and on point and taste delicious. I've tried pretty much every item on the menu. One thing i want to point out is every time i have come to Bashi i have been accommodated by Philip. He is the absolute best, attentive, professional, friendly and just makes your experience feel like you're an upscale customer. Give the guy a raise!!! He is the pillar to the restaurant.

I had a great experience at Bashi Restaurant! The food was delicious, and the service was truly outstanding. Our waiter was amazing—friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. He didn’t rush us at all and took the time to explain everything in detail, which made the dining experience even better. The sushi rolls were fresh and flavorful, but the sashimi was the real standout—absolutely incredible. It's not every day that I write reviews for sushi places, but Bashi truly offered one of the most exceptional dining experiences I've had at a Japanese restaurant. The service was fast, polite, and incredibly helpful for deciphering the menu. We enjoyed the dumplings, Uni Nigiri, and two rolls—the Surf Rider and Triple Delight—along with some outstanding cocktails. The sushi was of great quality with a complex flavor. The cocktail program blew my expectations out of the water. The Kimchi Blood Mary concept is something I'm definitely "stealing" to make at home. The infused Shiitake Old Fashioned with flowers set into the ice cube was beautiful but the Electric Daisy was one of the most unique cocktails I've had this year; biting into the flower created an explosion on my tongue that completely transformed the drink. Simply outstanding. I would highly recommend Bashi to everyone I meet.

Amazing food, friendly service, and beautiful views! Abraham was very friendly and attentive! He recommended the crispy tuna rice, hamachi carpaccio, scallop carpaccio, California blossom roll, spicy pork and chicken dumplings, shaking beef and all the dishes were fresh and delicious!

We dined here twice during our last stay, and both meals were memorable. We split our time between San Francisco and LA, so our standards for Asian food are pretty high, and we were thoroughly impressed! My partner has Celiac, so careful attention to gluten is very important to us. Both the servers and the kitchen were exceptional in this regard. While the sushi was excellent, they worked absolute magic with some hot Asian dishes that we've never seen translated into gluten-free versions before. Delicious! So, both the food quality and service made Bashi a true highlight of our visit to the resort.

I popped into Avenue Italy while visiting my parents nearby, and let me just say—the Spaghetti aglio olio e pepperino cheese was out of this world. I asked for extra garlic and chili flakes (because that’s how we do it when you’ve got Sicilian roots!), and they understood the assignment. Perfectly balanced, flavorful, and spicy in all the right ways. The Manhattan from the bar? Excellent. Strong, smooth, and clearly made by someone who knows what they’re doing. Service was warm and attentive without being overbearing—exactly what you want in a spot like this. It’s a little far from home, so I’m not sure I’ll be a regular—but if I’m in the area again, especially visiting my folks, I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend if you’re craving authentic Italian with elevated cocktails and a welcoming vibe.

We were so lucky to stroll in to this restaurant late in the evening with a big crowd. They quickly accommodated us with friendly and fast service. Upscale casual dining experience. Atmosphere is sort cute with great ambiance. Family friendly. Lots of traditional Italian options on the menu. Food was served hot and portions were generous. Overall lacked flavor. Sauce was runny, veal was chewy..not enough to complain about, but nothing to write home about either. Would go back for a traditional Italian meal knowing what to expect.

My Favorite Italian Restaurant I always get shrimp and scallop Alfredo with squid ink pasta and My wife with her Fettuccine al Limone con Capesante with scallops and for our side calamari . Awesome service , Great Staff and Delicious!!:)

3 of us went, made reservations for 5pm and asked for a real nice table. One of us has been going to this restaurant for 5 years, first time for the others. Upon arrival, the restaurant was mostly empty and it didn’t matter that we had any reservations, all the nice tables were already earmarked for use later. We were seated and within a minute our server wanted to know our drink order before we had looked at any menu. The server seemed highly agitated and annoyed that he had to wait on us the entire evening. We finally ordered our food after waiting for quite awhile for our server to come back, even though the restaurant was not busy at all. Our food was good, not great like we’d hoped and the service continued to be very sub par. One of us ordered Linguini and Clams and was never given anything to put the clamshells in. We had to ask for grated cheese, he never offered us any more wine or bread, on and on. Needless to say: -VERY poor service -decent food -ambiance not great even though there was live music, it was quite noisy and even a big screen tv??? We’ll definitely look for another nice Italian restaurant.

10/5/23 Simply fantastic. My wife and I stopped for lunch after visiting mom at Avenue Italy. We started with drinks and the eggplant parmesean for an appetizer, and wow, it was fantastic. Ernesto, our server, was amazing, professional, and friendly. The young man bussing tables was also kind and quite efficient. This place is a favorite when we are in the area. The decor and interior are quite exquisite and impressive. We sat in the patio and had a nice ocean breeze. For one entrees my wife had the branzino entree, and I had the salmon entree. Both dishes were well presented and prepared with flavor and perfectly seasoned. My compliments to the chef. This is a wonderful restaurant, and the food, service, and ambiance are stellar. Highly recommended. Previous visit What a fantastic find. We had a wonderful late lunch at Avenue Italy just off the coastline of Rancho Palos Verdes in the Golden Cove Center. We were taken to a nice table for two by the host and shortly after greeted by our amazing server, Ernesto. We started with drinks and the eggplant appetizer and oh so good. After our appetizer we ordered our entrees. My wife ordered the Halibut with lemon capers, roasted potatoes and mixed vegetables and she loved it. I ordered the Filet Mignon with spinach and tomatoes and it was delicious. Ernesto was very attentive and quite knowledgeable about the menu items and preparation etc. The meals were superb and the portions quite generous. The bread was also delicious and the bottled water refreshing. We also tool an order of 4 meatballs with marinara sauce home for tomorrow. Simply an amazing place and they have live entertainment on Tuesdays. Highly recommended.

This was a great spot for a late Sunday lunch. Great atmosphere close to the water with a nice secluded patio area (hard to tell it's right next to a parking lot). Staff were friendly and attentive and food was really good.

We love this place. Neighborhood Italian restaurant. Great pasta dishes. And amazing pizzas: very thin crust, delicious!!!! Seafood is always fresh and tasty. I only wish they had more drink options along with wine list. Why do you have to go there? They have spumoni - Italian ice cream!!! That's all I have to mention)

Had lunch here today after a friend’s recommendation, and it did not disappoint! We got the Sashimi Bento Box and the California Box—both were super fresh, well-portioned, and delicious. We were lucky to get a window seat, and the view was incredible. Clear skies, calm ocean, and you could see for miles. We ended up sitting there for hours just chatting and soaking it all in. Great food, peaceful atmosphere—will definitely be back.

The presentation of the dishes was equally impressive. Each plate was meticulously arranged, showcasing the vibrant colors and intricate details of the sushi. It was clear that the chef took great pride in his work, and the presentation enhanced the overall dining experience.

I was in the area and walked by this place and decided to give it a try. The reviews were not the best but I still went in. The staff is friendly and helpful. Interior looked a little old and not resembled in my opinion Japanese vibes. The outdoor are with an ocean view is what saves this place. I ordered gyoza which came out to be PF Chang prepacked gyoza from Target I swear. Tasted exactly the same both gyoza and the sauce. I also orders Spider Roll which I have never had before. Taste was not bad but weird. It had a carrot and ginger I believe which made it taste worse. It was on a pricy side for the quality and was almost empty on Saturday at 4pm So the food is below average but the server was great and attentive. Not the best place for sushi for sure. Not recommended

Amazing place to have a sushi or sashimi, as well as other food. Seriously. Fresh food and friendly service always. Almost always, abd some times even better. Sunsets here are designed to remember, so you better make it special...., even for yourself. Or not.... Gentle breeze and view of the most powerful ocean are a huge compliment. Unless you are afraid of tsunami. My place to go... for sure

Came across Asaka while visiting Palos Verdes and decided to give it a try — so glad we did! We sat out on the patio, which had a great view and a really relaxing vibe. The yellowtail carpaccio was super fresh, and the crispy rice spicy tuna hit the spot. Everything tasted great, and the service was friendly too. Definitely planning to come back next time I’m in town. Love it.

I love dinning outside in the patio. You will feel the fresh ocean breeze and the view is a million dollars view. It over look the Pacific ocean. Good food, nice friendly service and the price is right.

Some of the BEST Avocado I've ever had, wow. Sushi is delicious, so was Tofu and seaweed salad. Yum!

Oh man really bad pizza! What a shame for the price. I was very excited about the beef pepperoni, but the pizza was super overcooked, cant even bite thru it, as hard as a rock and the pizza was sliced in a terrible manner, they wanted to make it look like there are more slices and you end up with small little slices. The crust tastes like burned fire, also sooooo much oil!!

This was terrible. Where to start? I ordered a large meat lovers pizza, only to feel like they ran out of toppings. They normally load it with meat. Not this time. Why'd they cut so many slices that small? It was overcooked (tasted reheated), undercarriage was burnt, no sauce in the middle but only near the crust that was also inedible. So much wasted crust. Didn't even finish the pizza. So many things wrong, more that I didn't mention. We'd come here every other week; one of the best pizza spots in San Pedro. Was. Service was friendly as usual.

The brick oven pizza here is very tasty. It's very crispy. Comes out nice and hot tasty flavors. It's a great pizza joint for takeout. I wouldn't necessarily say you want to eat there

So this place is very hyped on tiktok so I was finally in the area so we went.first off the guy at the counter was probably oneof the coolest and friendliest people I have ever meet. Very cool guy. The place is very small and the parking is kinda nutty.price is steep for pizza but sometimes you gotta pay to try. The pizza we got was hot and crispy. The flavor was ok but we also got just a basic pizza . Hot the pizza was delicious.but once it was cold it wasn't that good. When pizza tastes good cold u know it's good. Next time we go I wanna try to chorizo pizza and I'm sure it will b amazing.

**EDIT~ 6/3/24** This place has decreased in its level of services in the last few months. Went recently and my 20-25 min wait time turned into 56 mins ( I even gave extra time because they’re usually ready after the suggested time). Then also noticed they’re no longer have an A grade but a B now, so unfortunate being that they were one of the best pizza places in the area. First thing first the customer service at the front desk was AMAZING . The pizza temperature was perfectly HOT!!! The flavors were astounding! The black garlic dip was also terrific ,I can’t wait to try it on the whole pizza as a base instead of marinara 😍. The crust had a great flavor and taste to it. I usually don’t like thin crust type of pizza ,but this pizza is definitely an exception. Certainly a delicious pizzeria if you’re looking for something fresh and flavorful.

WOW! If you are someone who loves or even just likes pepperoni pizza then you need to try the 120 pepperoni pizza with black garlic. I also highly recommend getting a side of white garlic sauce. The black garlic is an additional $3.99 and $.99 for the side of white garlic sauce. The flavors of the black garlic take the pizza to the next level. We also ordered a large 1/2 cheese, and 1/2 Margherita pizza which was on point as well. The pizzas are thin crust which we love. We will definitely be back for some more of that game changing 120 pepperoni with black garlic. Pricing is fair. There is only 3 tables inside and 2 tables outside so seating is limited. I would recommend eating there. Have it served on the pan so the pizza dough stays crunchy. Give it a try! You won’t be disappointed.

A gem in San Pedro. This was a delightful surprise, the atmosphere was very nice, the service was great and the food amazing! Both dishes were flavorful; the shrimp were perfectly cooked-very tender and delicate; the chicken in the Marsala was cut-with-a-fork tender and juicy. The accompanying mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables were an added bonus. The cabbage in the mixed vegetables was superb! If you’re ever in the area you have to stop in-it will not disappoint!

San Pedro stable. Portions are large more like family style. Their soup is always fresh and delicious. The salad complimenting the entrees is nice. A majority of the dishes especially the pasta are great. Their seafood dish isn't the best though. Their mash potato is unique and interesting.

Had a great meal and attentive service. What more can you ask for? To start, Bruschetta with roasted peppers was a nice surprise. The salmon was grilled perfectly and the Mare e Monti ( penne pasta with shrimp and mushroom) was on point. And a nice green salad was served with our meals. When we're in San Pedro, will definitely go back.

A great place to eat in a nice atmosphere. The food is very good, and so is the service. The meats are tender and tasty. For me that's an important distinction. I recommend the veal in any combination and the Filet Mignon, which is one of the best that I have ever eaten (and remembering that I just added a star in the edit...). A real treat to eat at this restaurant. The service is excellently managed and runs like a well oiled machine. One of my favorite restaurants.

We will definitely be back. The service here is spectacular. All the staff are hardworking and have really good energy. The portion size here is no joke. We got the lobster ravioli and vongole. Both dishes were amazing. We have tasted many vongoles in LA, and this place is #1 so far. The lobster ravioli sauce was so rich and creamy, and the ravioli had real chunky lobster meat inside. They also give you a salad with your meal, and some appetizers + bread on the house. I'm so glad we came here!

The absolute best Italian food I have ever eaten. The service was so good, they brought me everything I needed without me ever having to ask. They even gave us a free dessert since we were on our honeymoon. Could not have been better, and the owner of the restaurant greeted us himself as we came in. Hands down best restaurant experience of my life.

This is a beautiful little French Cafe with a charming interior and delicious food and drinks, and outside on the patio you have expansive oceans views and everything PV has to offer. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, and there is a nice variety of good and baked goods, and plenty of hot and cold drink options. The Macha Croissant is a favorite, and they make a top notch latte. This is a great place to relax and unwind and take in the serenity and beauty of Palos Verdes with the charm of a French countryside village. We love all the Yellow Vase locations but this one is special. Visit, relax, enjoy, eat some delish carbs!

Swan Thai RPV is such a peaceful, hidden gem with an amazing beach view. Whether you sit indoors or outdoors, the setting is beautiful and makes for a really relaxing dining experience. It’s the kind of place where you can take your time and enjoy your meal. The Pad Thai was excellent — flavorful and perfectly cooked. The fried rice was just okay, not bad but nothing too memorable. Still, the overall vibe and hospitality more than make up for it. The staff is very kind and welcoming, which adds to the charm. This place has become one of my mom’s favorites, and I can see why! Great for a casual lunch or laid-back dinner with a view. Definitely worth visiting if you’re in the area.

My daughters took me here for Mother’s Day, and I was very grateful because the food was delicious. The service was great and the atmosphere was really beautiful and welcoming. Swan Thai Restaurant is a gem for vegans and vegetarians looking for flavorful Thai cuisine with plenty of plant-based options. I was especially impressed by how accommodating the menu is—most of the rice noodle dishes can easily be veganized by substituting tofu or vegetables and omitting fish sauce. The same flexibility applies to many of their rice dishes and curries, which makes it easy to enjoy a wide variety of traditional Thai flavors without compromising on dietary preferences. The restaurant clearly understands the needs of plant-based diners, and it's refreshing to have so many customizable options in one place. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the view is beautiful perfect for a casual yet scenic meal. The only downside I experienced was the drinks. While they’re presented well and aesthetically pleasing, they just aren’t strong enough—definitely could use a more generous pour. That said, the overall experience was positive, and I’d definitely return. It’s a great spot for anyone who appreciates flavorful food in a laid-back setting with a thoughtful approach to vegan and vegetarian dining.

Ordered the steam dumplings and they were just yummy! Also got the pad Thai with chicken and that was great too! We sat outside and had a nice view and of course nice weather. Wining!!! The price was right also. If in the area - stop in.

Extremely Disappointing Father's Day Experience – Worst Customer Service We visited the restaurant at 4:45 PM to celebrate Father’s Day. The server told us we would need to finish our meal before 6 PM because the table was reserved. I expressed concern, especially since there were plenty of empty tables. Then he moved us to a different table. We placed our order, and I requested Thai chicken fried rice with a spice level of 8. When the food arrived, I was shocked to find a long strand of hair in my rice. I pointed it out to the server—he simply said he would bring a new one without offering a single word of apology. A few minutes later, the replacement dish came out, but it wasn’t spicy at all. I sent it back again, and only then did I receive a version closer to what I originally ordered. Between the rushed seating, unhygienic food, and lack of basic courtesy, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. I'm very disappointed, especially on a day meant to be special. Definitely not returning.

From start to finish, our visit to Lobby bar was exceptional. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the food and cocktails were absolutely delicious, and every detail felt thoughtfully curated. What truly made the experience stand out was our incredible waitress, Mariah. She was attentive, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Her timing was perfect, her recommendations were spot-on, and she made us feel genuinely welcomed throughout the meal. Between the top-notch service and the fantastic food and cocktails this is easily one of the best dining experiences we've had. We’ll definitely be back.

Best New Year Celebration! The room has lost some room, due to bar and toy train setup, which should be put in lobby hall so not to take up room in the lounge area, and to accommodate more people with small tables and chairs.

Move over, expected mediocre resort coffee shops—Sea Beans is remarkable and better than most standalone cafes or bakeries! The coffee here is great, but the food and chocolate are truly exceptional! My partner has Celiac, and we are connoisseurs of gluten-free baked goods. The gluten-free muffins here were better than some of the best dedicated gluten-free bakeries, which is incredibly impressive. And their chocolate confections are insanely delicious. We found ourselves loading up on both muffins and chocolates to take home because they were so good—I’ve never even wanted to do that anywhere else, so we were very impressed!

The center offers delicious food, beautiful natural surroundings, and breathtaking views of the Atlantic. Prices for food and drinks are quite reasonable. It’s definitely worth a visit.

Great snack and sundry shop at the beautiful Terranea Resort. Sea Beans is a much better café than your normal chain coffee shop. This café offers a variety of high quality quick snacks, coffees, and smoothies from early morning to evening. with a decent amount of indoor and outdoor seating just outside the resort reception area. The snack offerings cover the range from healthy foods (wraps, fruits, etc.) to sweets (scones, cupcakes, cookies, gelato, etc.). I was very impressed with their sweets, generally high quality and sometimes specialty-level design, like with some of their cupcakes. The avocado toast was quite interesting and good but a little hard to eat. The egg-white wrap was filling and healthy but too bland. The oatmeal chocolate chip cookie was moist and thick. The large iced coffee was very good coffee but a smaller size than I expected for the cost. I would give this a moderate value rating; the prices were a bit high, but not overly so. Overall, this café perfectly fits the niche for a luxury resort quick coffee and snack stop.

Very nice atmosphere, located at the entrance of the Terranea Resort in Palos Verdes, CA. A great place to have a coffee and pastry or a gelato or even a sandwich for lunch. You can relax and see activity around you. Quite a pleasant experience whether seated inside or out.

We stopped by for brunch today on Sunday and the food and service were outstanding as always. The menu is vast and goes from breakfast, sandwiches, burgers, tacos, fish and chips, the famous meatloaf and so much more to choose from. They are baking their own muffins and scones in house which are outstanding. The atmosphere is relaxed like a nice country cafe and it is very inviting where you want to sit a while and talk enjoying some of their great coffee. Misto is a well known institution in the area and folks on this side of the hill love this spot with good reason.

This is a nice local spot....kind of under the radar unless you happen to live in the area. Tucked away in the back of the plaza just off Hawthorne Blvd., is a quaint little spot where you can get really good baked goods or a tasty meal. There's covered outdoor dining as well as indoor seating options. Food was good and so was the service. Really good portion sizes for the cost. Like many local food spots....I think they're still recovering from the COVID era and they could use a little updating and some repairs to the outdoor space. But that only comes as folks continue to get back out and supporting their local establishments. Definitely worth a try!

I'm a bit biased, as I had my first date here so many years ago, but I truly enjoy Misto. The portions are ample, the prices decent, and the menu small but varied. The tortilla soup is fantastic and my typical go-to, with the fussili bucati as a close second.

A friend picked this restaurant. I looked up the menu online and was not impressed. I tried the tomato bisque and it was delicious. The pizza was recommended and that was amazing. Our server Miguel is phenomenal. Excellent service. Very attentive and always making sure we have a drink.

We took visiting relatives here last night. It is one of our favorite restaurants. They loved it too. It has a varied menu with lots of appetizers, salads, pizza, pasta and entrees. My favorite is sea bass either as stand alone main, or in the mixed seafood grill , fish and chips or on the weekend the fish tacos. And I am very very picky about my fish tasting just caught. Chicken Savannah, enormous stuffed quesidias with salad (2-3 person size). Our friends get the steak diane and meatloaf frequently. Desserts made there and all wonderful. Prices fair and portions very generous. The chef will modify to whatever you want. Large beer and wine list, Nice cafe, great and friendly staff. Lots of parking.

This place was horrible. It felt like a sauna when I walked in. The owner didn’t want to honor what is advertised online. Became loud and combative when asked why would he advertise something but not honor it. But the worst part were the racial slurs that came out of his mouth. In a restaurant full of people. I was horrified and I felt threatened. Everyone is not welcome here.

My boyfriend and I went well, besides it not being really visible from the street, I cannot say anything bad. In fact it was a great experience. We walked in greeted and sat right away! The menu has a very wide variety of food options, which helps with us because we like very different foods. He got eggs, tri-tip and hashbrowns (simply eggs part of menu), he really enjoyed it! I had the veggie sandwich with fries, it was amazing! Besides the food being great, the service was wonderful. Everyone not just our waitress! They really worked together.

We always order our coffee with Kahlua or baileys. Yum! The food is always good, with a large menu. It’s always busy, maybe just slightly understaffed, therefore sometimes service is slow. The parking lot is small, so be prepared to find street parking or parking somewhere else.

Really nice location easy to get to an easy parking, but I am really excited about the sushi they had. I have never had sushi like this before the servings were good size too. I highly recommend trying them and taking friends because it’s quite affordable too.

Great local spots! We ordered a pot of class noodle soup with chicken and the duck curry and the green curry and all were amazing and very filling. They didn't ask how spicy we wanted our food so everything came out very authentic and original and at the spiciness that it's supposed to be at which was both very strong but also amazingly delicious! But I highly recommend for a easy and quick dinner.

This place is close to the beach. It has parking. It has a casual but yet still nice place for an event vibe. It is clean and nicely decorated. The food was delicious. I got the San Pedro roll, which was a bit spicy, had good texture, and was a little sweet. It was delicious. I also tried their Pad Thai with Shrimp. It was saucey and full of flavor.

I had such a great meal at Sirinat Thai and Sushi bar. It was my second time here and it did not disappoint. I had the Panang curry with beef and the the ground pork with eggplant. The flavors were authentic and not too spicy for me. I'm sure you can get it spicier so no worries there. Service was excellent as well. Highly recommend!

We’ve been ordering from here for a few years now and the food has been fairly decent. Tonight we ordered two spicy tuna rolls and a spider roll, which is softshell crab. We received the order and instead of two spicy tuna rolls got only one. To add insult to injury, the spider role had bad crab meat in it. I took one bite and almost threw up. We called them and gave them the opportunity to make it right and instead of fixing the issue and offering to send another spicy tuna roll and a fresh non-rotten meat crab roll. They asked us to call ciao now and request a refund. 15 minutes later there’s still no resolution to this issue. So bad food screw up on the order and bad customer service. I don’t think we’ll be returning to this restaurant again.

While the cuisine was enjoyable, the quality of service was unfortunately quite poor. Initially, I attributed the rudeness to the first hostess, but it seemed to extend to the entire waitstaff. The experience was so unpleasant that I would not consider returning, despite the quality of the food.

This was fantastic! I got a chirashi bowl, a calamari salad, and mango sticky rice. The sashimi was thick cut and tasted fresh. While the rice was perfectly cooked. The salad was absolutely delicious and came with a nice sweet dressing. But the real star of the show was the mango sticky rice. It was buttery and sweet and perfect. This was my first time ordering from this place and I am absolutely doing so again.

Service is nothing special, slow and robotic. Inattentive shift leader/Mgr stayed in the kitchen when a complaint was made. Personally, their fish tacos are 💯 🔥. Perfectly crispy and all the ingredients tasted fresh. However, the refried beans were wetter than soup and uneatable.

Food was great but I did not get what I ordered. I ordered surf and turf that was supposed to include both shrimp and steak, but I only received shrimp. I already left the restaurant by the time I noticed and it was too late to return. There wasn’t an option to ask for a refund online so had to take the lost. The food was great but need better awareness of orders.

I tried the Mexican street corn bowl with salmon and it was disappointing. The portion sizes are so small compared to other places selling grilled fish. This bowl comes with romaine lettuce but it literally had 5 small pieces lol. The flavor is bland and price is on the high side for the amount of food you get. The Mexican street corn has way too much lime and it’s really all you taste 👎 First and last time eating here.

Ordered lasagna for take-out supper and was impressed at the simple elegance of the dining room, the savory smelling atmosphere, with the genteel clientele enjoying their meals and the lovely manners of the staff who dealt with me as I picked up my dish. I received exactly what I'd requested on their handy app, a generous center portion of lasagña with sauce. It came with 3 slices of plain sourdough bread & containers of parmesan cheese and a diced tomato mix. All in all it was a savory meal, and I'm glad I thought ahead about picking up supper as I ran errands that evening 👍👍

My grandma comes here very often and she loves the food and the service, as do I. They are always very attentive and kind, and the food is delicious and made fresh. Grandma had a dinner party for 20 last week and ordered from Giorgio’s. The food arrived steaming hot, and there was so much we had leftovers for days. All the guests loved the food. Definitely 5 star service and quality!

It's one of my son's favorite restaurants on the hill. My kids both love Giorgio's fried calamari. I like anything seafood, my daughter likes the spaghetti with meatballs. The lemon sherbet is a perfect dessert after a happy full-tummy meal. I also love their warm bread with salsa. Always have a delicious meal coming to Giorgio's. Will be back soon.

This is NOT one of those Italian restaurants serving high quality food but in tiny hummingbird portions. The food is beautifully presented, but in good sized portions. Service was impeccable.

I love this place but I ordered the thai chicken salad and I found this . Its like grease dirt. You know when they clean grills or dirt from counter tops , Or like cement I still ate the salad( half of it) i couldnt finish the whole thing thinking about the stuff i found , I had no choice because I work nights and Cafeteria is close. But hopefully they check on their salad next time . Just a warning.

We came in for a quick afternoon pastry and coffee. Everything we ordered and ate was delicious. My favorite was the raspberry custard tart. One orders and pays at the counter and then you find a place to sit down, however, I saw a lot of folks just taking their food TO GO. The food items such as breakfast, lunch and salads sound delicious from the menu descriptions. The staff was friendly and efficient. I will come back again if I am in the area. It's my first time here. I ordered half a sandwich with their grill3d chicken salad, soda and a lemon bar. Lemon bar isn't too sweet & taste like it was just made 30 mins ago. The sandwhich I ordered is cold sandwich so there's really nothing much to say about that lol, but they do serve hot sandwhiches. I came here to try their chicke. sandwich and boy it did not disappoint! Their salad tastes super fresh and the dressing although very tasty, isn't heavy and does not overpower the freshness of the vegetables in the salad. The cashier lady who helped me was so kind and helped with a big smile on her face. I love it here! I will be a regular customer! P.S. I went to their restroom to wash my hands and I am pleased to say that theri restroom is CLEAN! Nice!!!

The place is medium sized and usually not busy in the mornings, but can get busy in the afternoon and lunch. The ambiance is really nice, clean, and fresh. If you're at the spa, this is the place to eat, the staff are friendly the food and drinks are good as well and who doesn't love a seaside pool setting after a day of relaxing at the spa? We shared the chips, salsa and guacamole and the server was happy to replenish the chips when they ran out before the salsa and guacamole. We enjoyed prosecco and one person had a margarita (so they do have a bar but I don't know if it's limited or not). If you are taking the time to go to the spa, make sure you make some time to enjoy the spa cafe (and the pool).

Spa eatery with poolside service at the beautiful Terranea Resort. The atmosphere of the Spa Café is quiet, spa-relaxing with indoor seating, including a small bar. The outdoor space is the real focus of the café, a mixed variety of comfy seating types surrounding a beautiful spa pool with great views of the Pacific. A sign indicates the spa pool is only for spa guests, but we understood that the café serves any walk-in visitor. We ate here three time including indoors table, outdoors table, and poolside, both as a spa guest poolside (fantastic spa facilities) and as a walk-in visitor. The service inside and outside is a small team of hospitality staff who seemed overly busy, usually attentive and efficient, sometimes forgetful, and at least once dismissive—service was really hit or miss. The bagel ‘n’ lox was a generous pile of salmon on a perfectly toasted bagel but lathered with way too much lox (that quantity of lox should have been served on the side). The guacamole and salsa with chips was very fresh and generous—best dish we ate there. The fruit and cheese plate was generous and very good with lots of tastes, but the cheese was served in way-too-large blocks (difficult for plastic utensils) and there were only two cheeses, not three as advertised. All the fruits were great quality. The spa cocktails were good but light on the pour, and the beer was not chilled well. The use of paper plates/bowls, plastic utensils, and plastic cups were not appropriate for the quality of the spa and for the food/drink expectations of a luxury resort. I’d rate the value as low; the prices are too high for the quality of the presentation and service. Overall, the quality of the service, food, and presentation do not match the quality of this exceptional spa and resort; I’d really love to see the Spa Café elevated and believe it could be with an eye on extending the normal Terranea excellence into this café offering.

Maureen was fabulous. She anticipated our needs and offered great suggestions. We had breakfast and lunch here twice and would go back for more. It was delicious and the atmosphere lovely.

This was a spectacular experience and found absolutely nothing wrong or uncomfortable about the adventure. Food was beyond delicious! And service by Steve was outstanding. Let alone the Environment-it was cozy, warm, welcoming! Would not think twice about returning. Had the most enjoyable stay at Terranea - it’s a beautiful beach front resort! From the personal check in by Robert to the immaculate and peaceful spa - the resort had all you could ask for. Reagan from the concierge booked a wonderful snorkeling experience for us with Bob. Penelope from house keeping always made sure we had everything we needed. We had a wonderful experience with Luis from Catalina Kitchen and their chef. Our server, Angelo, at Solviva was very knowledgeable and thoughtful when serving me and my dietary restrictions. Five star resort!

Attended a work conference, location is stunning on the coast away from as the noise of Los Angeles. Excellent room options for short or long term stay. Staffing is well trained for client service. Its all about the customer which it should be. Room service was excellent, good food and drink options. Walking paths to lighthouse and beach.

Beautiful resort and location! Rooms were nice and the view was amazing of Catalina Island! The Kayaking, Golf, walk along the coast, food, and Spa were all wonderful! The staff were friendly and helpful.Hope to return to the Spa in the future! Very relaxing resort.

Of all of the resorts that we've been to, in any state or country, this resort is unquestionably the best. Never been before, and am looking forward to going back. The setting, the restaurants, the rooms (casitas) and the weather are all great. However, they're biggest asset is their employees. Literally every single one we came into contact with was exceptional. Happy, smiling and helping. From Tyrone to Carson to Sergio and Megan, and everyone at the front desk.You're a big reason why we'll be back. And a big reason why we'll send people to you. I hope they get to see this, because they deserve to.

Every time I come here, it’s always a great experience. Heather was very sweet and accommodating. She knew that I was on lunch from my clinic and had to get back soon, so she made sure that I got my food promptly, checked in periodically and also made sure I had all of my to-go containers. So I took my client to the cute restaurant and I really enjoyed myself, they have a lot of options of health conscious people. And a little wine and beer bar which is super dope. I had the chicken burrito and it was good I forgot to let them know that I didn't want jalapenos pepper on it. So I had to pick them out. And my client had the tuna sandwich which also had jalapenos peppers on it. So jalapenos peppers is a theme there . The waitresses are very nice and they have TV there as well. So you can chill and watch whatever. I really enjoyed myself. Check it out.😁

Good Stuff has good stuff! The atmosphere is super nice for breakfast with a group. Our server, Leah, was incredibly helpful with suggesting vegetarian food options and specials! I do wish they had more vegetarian options or substitutions. Regardless, the food was delicious and I would go back.

. The Carne Asada and Eggs were delicious, and my wife really enjoyed her skillet. The pancakes were perfectly fluffy and tasty. Marco took great care of us, excellent service all around.

My review was of 5 stars since the past 3 years I’ve been going to this place but on November 4th they gave me raw chicken. I ate it and it felt a bit weird, from the outside it looked cooked. Well then I check the chicken and I see it as the picture I’m going to attach. Not only did I eat that raw chicken but right after my body rejected it and I had to throw up so bad. I went to the restroom and I was throwing up none stop for like 10 minutes even my husband had to come into the restroom to check in, I was red and felt the worse I have ever felt. They still had the dignity to charge me even knowing that i basically threw up everything i ate because of the raw chicken. I wanted to speak to a manager and they claimed no manager was available so they took down my number for the manager to give me a call and as I right this it is November 24th and I’m still waiting for a call… at least to apologize or something! As much as I loved this place I will never ever be stepping a foot into there.

Really enjoyed the food here. Ceviche was very good, quarter chicken was very tasty and good value, beef stir fry was also a good choice. Plantains seemed more like regular bananas since they are sweet and very soft... The ones I've had in Latin countries were drier, more neutral, similar to a chip. Regardless, i liked them. Had the pisco sour. A bit on the exy side... Very foamy, a bit low on volume. Would have preferred a bit more in a bigger glass. Highly recommend you try this resto

Shout out to our friendly and outstanding server, Luis. Luis made our experience a pleasant one. This was my first time here, and I would love to come back and try something different. I had Lomo saltado, and it was ok. My husband had the 1/2 chicken, and it was DELICIOUS 👌 very flavorful.

This a great little restaurant with outside seating and fur babies welcomed. Come for the food stay for the views and calm vibes. The French toast with caramelized apples was super delicious and the steak and eggs were on par. I don't live near here but next time I'm near the Palisades area I will drop in

A breezy little hike in Palos Verdes, we made our way to Yellow Vase, along with what felt like half the South Bay. It was surprisingly packed for a weekday, but then again it was around lunch hour. We waited about 15 minutes for a table. Not terrible, just unexpected. The cashier wasn't rude per se, but let's just say enthusiasm wasn't on the menu. We all gravitated toward classic brunch fare, and I played it safe with an omelet. It was tasty... I think. Honestly, I can't remember it. What I can remember, in vivid, borderline-romantic detail, is the creamy shrimp pasta we ordered to share. We were torn on whether pasta was too heavy for a post-hike, pre-noon meal,(we decided to order it as sharable), but spoiler alert: it was 100% worth it. I'm still dreaming about it. The vibe was cozy and cheerful, true to Yellow Vase form. Seating is available both indoors and out, though be warned, it can get crowded even on a weekday. Service had its ups and downs, but all in all, we had a great time. Final verdict: if you're eyeing the shrimp pasta, stop thinking and start ordering.

If you visit after the sun is down there's no view so you just get to lament in the tired wicker furniture, low ceilings and tight eating quarters. The food was tasteless. Have to admit I have never had calamari as bland and texturally odd is I did here. The staff was polite and the food was hot. I guess if you live in the area and don't want to drive off the hill it's an acceptable option. I personally would drive the extra few miles and head to one of the many other options up and down the beach cities in the South Bay.

Its like a casual Ruth's Chris! Hands down one of my all time favorite spots to have a nice afternoon meal with the wife! Its a shame they are closing down because the view is great, service is great and the food is BOMB!!!! Cant go wrong with anything on their menu. Sad to see yall go so I thought I would stick my feedback in before you close down for good. If you have not eaten here before... get here before they are gone forever! Well done guys! We really enjoyed your restaurant!

We have been to Creme De La Crepe, Rolling Hills many times, usually for lunch. This time (Tues, Feb 27, 2024) for breakfast. So bad: the male server was either lack of service training or he has never been a waiter before, he was slow in coming to our table for service, The whole milk cream was old and caked up floating in the coffee. The coffee refills were like pulling his teeth. Mind you: we were the only customers that morning at 10:30 a.m. The whole restaurant was empty if we were NOT there! Then, came 2 female customers who talked so laud that we could not even hear our own conversation. The WORST part: When we wanted to leave, signaling the waiter several times, waving our hands, standing up, no avail! He was and his attentions were all on the two females, That was fine, At least he could acknowledge he saw us and would come to our table later. We could wait. Finally, our friend had to shout at the waiter before he could come back to a table. BAD EXPERIENCE! I do not recommend anyone to visit this restaueant if the same waiter still work there. Of course, if the owner/manager sees this review and talk to the waiter including retraining, then, you decide.

It was our first time here. There was more 🙂 than ☹️ for sure. The ambiance was romantic and laid back, but felt understaffed. The greeter seemed to be rushing and running around, even though it wasn't packed. However, moving past that the food was great. I had the grilled salmon and the wifey had filet mignon with risotto which both made up for the wait to be seated.

I have a very allergy so I can't eat I can only eat their soup but they are really nice and add noodles to it even though they don't offer substitution so that is really appreciated. their food is very tasty and fresh with quality ingredients. the staff are friendly and experienced. it is a small bistro atmosphere and classy but cute. not really a romantic restaurant though, more like a business meeting or family eatery.

Had the most amazing service here a few weeks ago. The food is pretty good but we were focused solely On service. Sabrina gave the best service. She was attentive and knowledgeable on food. It’s rare to find good service in this industry since COVID. If you go on a Sunday night ask for Sabrina she really Knows her food And she has the best attitude. such a great team player. OK so we love this restaurant and we eat here at least once a week. The annoying part is depending on who’s cooking i.e. the chef …that night the dishes are often different. For example, we usually get the steak.. sometimes the steak comes with lots of potatoes and onions and extras… (the side dish) and we love that …and sometimes it comes with like three tiny slivers of potato, and a couple slivers of onion. ….so basically, there’s no sides to accompany the steak half the time! I don’t know about you, but I love to have side dishes with my steak, potatoes, etc. whatever. I don’t just want a steak and nothing to accompany it! That being said, we love this restaurant because it’s healthy and good ….they use olive oil..NO SEED OILS..(which are incredibly toxic) so we will continue to eat here simply because they don’t use canola or sunflower oils etc!!! We would be very pleased if they would offer grain free or gluten free pasta! ( white flour another very toxic food, full of glycophosphates) wake up Americ!!!

It’s not your “hip” spot, but the food is AMAZING. Short ribs lasagna- bomb. Waitress recommended the bow tie pasta- phenomenal!Service is great. Food tastes fresh and homemade. I wish we lived closer because this would be my go-to takeout and dine in spot.

Not bad if you don’t mind spending good money to sit in cushions repaired with black tape. The pastas and flatbread are good, but don’t order the entrees. They’re not reliable and don’t show the attention to detail required at this price point. For instance, the pork Milanese I just had (really more like pork picatta) was tough and fairly tasteless, like the pork you’d buy at a supermarket, not a restaurant of this reputation.

My family went here for mother’s day. The service was great but the food was terrible. We sat there for an hour watching to go order after to go order leave wondering where our food was. Two dishes came out 15 min before the other three. Two of the five dishes weren’t even microwaved long enough to heat the meat though. Edit: the center of the short rib I ordered was cold so it must have been heated up in a skillet or in the oven not the microwave. I use the term heated loosely.

Simple, casual and beyond good! Stopped here on my own with my small dog. Ordered a Chef Salad which was one of the best I've ever eaten. It wasn't 75% lettuce, just the right mix of lettuce and toppings. Sat outside with my Tinx. Everyone was so friendly.

Real good sandwiches. They also have fresh coffee, baked goods, and ice cream. Excellent outdoor eating area to enjoy the scenery. Huge grassy area to picnic or let the kids play.

Looking at the previous pictures I expected more of a dining in experience. I arrived and it was a walk up window to order and 2 small tables to sit. More of a pick up and go kind of spot. It looks like they share the rest of the building. Plenty of parking. 4% additional charge on cards.

If you're not looking for this place, it's easy to miss. I suggest making this a go-to place for lunch. I had the pastrami sandwich, and it was very good! The service is very friendly, quick, and helpful to get what you want the way you want. The ice cream sundae is also a must, I enjoyed it on their outside seating area. There's a nice grassy area outside that looks like it would be a nice place to lay a blanket and have a picnic. Part of the building looks like it's under renovation, so hopefully,it will be some indoor seating

Their coffee easily beats the big franchises — every cup is filled with perfect, rich flavor. The lattes are amazing, and the baristas are always so kind and welcoming. Highly recommend it for coffee lovers especially!

I saw someone raving about this seafood place on Nextdoor App. My first visit there was successful. I spent about $12 on ceviche, baguette and frozen mini scallops. The tables outside were inviting and so I sat down to snack on my ceviche right away. It was decent and I enjoyed the peekaboo view of the ocean. The only disappointment was the overflowing trash can. It was difficult to dispose the trash after my snack. Otherwise, shopping at the seafood market was a good experience.

I have been served by Dino in the past - love him - and Jason was my guy recently. He absolutely made my day, selecting the best mussels for a dish I made that night. Stumbled into Scottish salmon at a chain market when I friend suggested I go here...I haven't purchased fresh seafood anywhere else since then. We are so lucky to have this seafood market close by. We shop there all the time. Usually we ask for the specials or fresh catches. When that's not available there are still dozens of options. For cooked seafood or something ready to eat we commonly get the candied salmon, the shrimp or crab meat. They have amazing sauces and wines too!

Had an amazing dinner at Think Prime. The ribeye was perfectly cooked—tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Sides like the cream corn and mashed potatoes were just as impressive. Came in for an anniversary dinner on a Tuesday at 5pm. We both had their prime rib special for $25 each. That comes with a brillient lettuce wedge salad, with blue cheese dressing, red onions, and a very nice amount of excellent bacon crumbles. It also comes with bread, which was three one inch slices each, which managed to be very crusty on the outside, yet underdone on the indide. Not fans of the bread concept. The special also comes with the chef's choice of dessert which was a generous wedge of dark chocolate cake. Very moist, and tasty. The wife wanted more chocolate frosting, but the servings were a good value. Finally, regarding the prime rib, our server advised as the prime rib special is 10 ounces, it is harder for the kitchen to produce a portion on the rare side, so you should order it rarer than you normally would. The wife ordered super rare and it came out medium. She cut it to be sure. We would have to order a regular portion to get it more rare. They later rescinded that to the chef would try doing a replacement portion. We declined. We felt, if it's a known issue they would have better control of the issue by now. Service, however, was excellent!

Dishes were hit or miss. Bacon mac & cheese and the ribeye were the stars and very good. Prime rib was bland, the beet salad was missing something, calamari needed acid but was cooked well. Carmalized onions were not carmalized, so definitely not worth the extra fee for them. French onion was good though. Wait staff was somewhat considerate, but dropped the ball a few times.

The food was delicious. Had a filet that was cooked Perfectly and sides were just as yummy. Everyone food was done perfectly and served with a reasonable time . Our waitress was pleasant, helpful and made us feel at home. Highly recommend. I only put 4 stars because we had a group and wanted to do separate checks but the manager wouldn’t allow it and made a comment for us to. Leave if we didn’t like it. We stayed because most of the group did want to Leave and our waitress was so accommodating. If it were just my husband and I we probably have left. Happy we stayed. But will never go with a big group again given we cannot do separate checks which in this case is well Over $500. Their loss.

Its like stepping back in time. Sitting in your seat, you look around waiting for the Rat Pack to walk in. Food and service is great. Happy Hour is worth the visit and the live music is perfect.

Got the Oven roasted chicken salad with spinach and melted provolone cheese on top of my chicken breast, with Subway vinaigrette dressing—and it was delicious! Not that many calories, so I hope it was a healthy lunch. But not too filling either, so now I kind of regret not getting a sandwich and enjoy one of their tasty fresh-baked breads at a lower price, lol. Gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean from the outdoor seating at this location.

HORRIBLE SERVICE: I've eaten this subway sandwich in about 10 different countries and I've never seen such terrible service as this store. I usually buy this salami sandwich only. Normally people put around 12 slices and the attendant at this store had the nerve to put only 6 slices on a 12-inch sandwich. IN FACT, MY RATING IS ZERO.

The subway with the best view in all of California. It’s your standard subway in every way, but where this place shines is it’s patio offering unobstructed views of the sunset. Grab a foot long or salad and wander over to the patio around 645PM to catch some of the most gorgeous views of a California Sunset.

This Subway store features outside seating with amazing vista. You can see Catalina on a clear day. Service and food are average. Parking is free at Golden Cove Mall. The views of the ocean are amazing.

Lovely! I love this subway and all the people that work here! They are always so polite and get my order correct all the time! It's super nice because they have a location in Palos Verdes (2) for all the people on the hill. Wonderful views from the outdoor dining! I always get oven roasted chicken with Italian bread and it comes out amazing. Its toasted and hot. I especially love the cookies here because they are warm and tasty.

We shared the chips, salsa and guacamole and the server was happy to replenish the chips when they ran out before the salsa and guacamole. We enjoyed prosecco and one person had a margarita (so they do have a bar but I don't know if it's limited or not). If you are taking the time to go to the spa, make sure you make some time to enjoy the spa cafe (and the pool).

Spa eatery with poolside service at the beautiful Terranea Resort. The atmosphere of the Spa Café is quiet, spa-relaxing with indoor seating, including a small bar. The outdoor space is the real focus of the café, a mixed variety of comfy seating types surrounding a beautiful spa pool with great views of the Pacific. A sign indicates the spa pool is only for spa guests, but we understood that the café serves any walk-in visitor. We ate here three time including indoors table, outdoors table, and poolside, both as a spa guest poolside (fantastic spa facilities) and as a walk-in visitor. The service inside and outside is a small team of hospitality staff who seemed overly busy, usually attentive and efficient, sometimes forgetful, and at least once dismissive—service was really hit or miss. The bagel ‘n’ lox was a generous pile of salmon on a perfectly toasted bagel but lathered with way too much lox (that quantity of lox should have been served on the side). The guacamole and salsa with chips was very fresh and generous—best dish we ate there. The fruit and cheese plate was generous and very good with lots of tastes, but the cheese was served in way-too-large blocks (difficult for plastic utensils) and there were only two cheeses, not three as advertised. All the fruits were great quality. The spa cocktails were good but light on the pour, and the beer was not chilled well. The use of paper plates/bowls, plastic utensils, and plastic cups were not appropriate for the quality of the spa and for the food/drink expectations of a luxury resort. I’d rate the value as low; the prices are too high for the quality of the presentation and service. Overall, the quality of the service, food, and presentation do not match the quality of this exceptional spa and resort; I’d really love to see the Spa Café elevated and believe it could be with an eye on extending the normal Terranea excellence into this café offering.

Maureen was fabulous. She anticipated our needs and offered great suggestions. We had breakfast and lunch here twice and would go back for more. It was delicious and the atmosphere lovely.

OK...let's be fair...I got one of the best pizzas ever there...a large Carnivore. Not cheap, but excellent. Then today I went and got $55 worth of lunch, consisting of a large pepperoni pizza (Little Ceasars does equally good for $5) and 4 sandwiches (that would be right at home as a $5 foot long at Subway). The menu says all sandwiches come with red wine vinaigrette (and nothing about mayonnaise...I hate mayo) and yet every sandwich had mayo and no detectable vinaigrette. REALLY? It was 11:30...I was the only one in the place...there's no excuse for it not to be good. I want to love them because they're so close, and the great first experience. But restaurants live and die by consistency, and today I got 1/2 of the value I paid for. Color me gone.

Wow!!! So fresh and so delicious! Love this little hidden gem. This place uses fresh and very high quality ingredients and you can definitely taste the difference. No bagged lettuce here, no pre-cooked or pre-fab chicken here! Salad was handcut, crisp and so fresh. Chicken Piccata was the best I've ever had and the Pizza was also fresh and loaded - no skimping here! Can't wait to come back.

Very poor customer service, I was not greeted at all, the female owner was chatting for 3 long minutes before she acknowledge me and just ask me what was I getting. It was my first time here and was curious of some items but she was not in the mood to explain what came with what. Her husband looked very tired, he was making my salad when he notice I was looking at him, he when to the back to finish preparing salad???? I don't know, I was spectacle but was hungry. I agree the food is ok but over priced for small portions.

Definetly needs Gordon Ramsay to do a Kitchen Nightmare show here! I think the only thing keeping this place open is locals that have no sense of taste. The microwave was being used non stop try the fettuccine and tell me it's not out of a can horrible I love supporting small local businesses but this is by far the worst food I have ever eaten in my life.

i WOULD have given them 2-3 stars had i not basically just been called a liar over the phone after ordering their food for YEARS & spending countless dollars! that's service?. yep, that was my big plan. lay in wait & pay my tab for a million yrs just so ONE time i could actually ask for a credit! YES agreed about the customer service things written above. they don't seem to be keen on customer service at all. they seem to be more into what THEY are getting out of everything. i could list a number of things i find wrong w/this place, but most important is the FOOD. after all it is a restaurant right? well...they did change their prices (which were already too high), they raised them & cut their portions in half. i'm not sure how that makes sense? way more expensive food for TWICE the price or so? plus it's not prepared properly half the time. as someone who has traveled the world & eaten in THE best 4 star, michelin star restaurants, i know what i'm speaking of (no i'm not expecting that quality from some local hole in the wall, but since they are attempting to make their cuisine fancier, i would at LEAST expect that they know how to COOK IT!) so the food is incorrectly prepared much of the time. you never know what you will get. could be undercooked, overcooked, could be just right, but that's rare. but don't dare to mention this in a call to them, because you will simply get an argument about how it's NOT true & u are the only person who EVER complained!! really? in a restaurant? i am the ONLY person ever in life who complained about something, who had incorrectly cooked food? i find that astonishing. especially after viewing tons of reviews just now on google. i guess they also underestimated the power of the internet! they seem to be DESPERATE to stay in business, but not willing to treat their customers like gold, as they should, but more as THEIR DUE! that's why they will continue to lose customers. myself included. they don't even treat them like silver, or even nickel! i just had a long argument over my $15 risotto dish having NON cooked risotto. literally crunchy risotto. ALSO, i ordered the "Truffle bread" which is good usually, but this time there was ZERO truffle oil on it & as I am paying $6 plus dollars for a half of a sub roll slice of bread, i would expect to get what i'm paying for!! $6 plus for a measly half piece of bread?? w/the truffle oil & parm cheese on it, it IS good. but once they have you, they get sloppy (or sloppier) about actually giving you what the menu says. i was told the risotto is cooked exactly the same every time. i guess their chef is a robot w/the perfect settings? i called to complain IMMEDIATELY after i received it (delivery order) & was put on hold forever, then told that the managers were out & would call me back shortly. never got a call back. waited all night *and this was around 5pm*, THEN I called the next day, but there was a voice mail which states they don't listen to messages, but i left one anyway. WHY should i have to chase them down to tell them what is up, when I AM THE PAYING CUSTOMER?? they are not paying ME!! i already went MORE than out of my way to contact them to try & resolve the problem. it's ridiculous. bottom line, ANY business in this world, w/crappy customer service, will not make it! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EVERYTHING! they have some artichoke appetizers that EVERY time i had them were BLACK! totally burned until i said something. i know many people in this world don't give a crap what they put in their mouth or how their food is, but i actually do! especially if i'm paying way more than i should for what i am getting! don't ever order a sandwich w/avocado on it! especially if you expect to see any avocado. their excuse for that is "it disappears into the bread"! really? i've never known avocado to vanish from sight & from taste? wow. my friends & i have laughed heartily at their many excuses. again, i could go on & on & on *i kinda already have*, but you get the idea. the wedge salad: total JOKE! on US! they r laughing all the way to the bank

Repeat foodie of this location since 2002! Their reno was welcomed & the place looks fantastic. All the staff has always been fantastic, I've never complained. Old school service and the food is marvelous!

We shared the antipasta salad and a medium Nick Special pizza and a bottle of Melbec from Argentina. Quite tasty. Also, it wasn't too crowded, which was nice.

The Ceviche really hit the spot, very good. The only complaint is that I wanted more! Awesome location, scenic, indoor-outdoor. Quality service. A bit pricier than I'm used to, but worth it. (Bonus: its a short walk from a cool, secluded beach spot)

Great spot to relax and be by a pool with amazing views. Drinks are great. Team is very nice and great service. Great place, but don’t eat here. The food is gross. They bring it from the main building, they don’t cover any of it during the long walk down. Food came out cold and they burnt the burger so bad it was inedible. Very disappointed I can’t relax and have a good meal. For a resort like this you should be ashamed.

Hours were wrong. Hotel lobby staff unfriendly and just pointed in the direction of the ocean and said it's way over there. Then found it was closed. So glad the hostess was much more inviting at the Catalina Kitchen and welcomed us in for a great seat or the whole trip to this resort would have been awash. The hours said they were updated a week prior to our trip, but the staff said they are only open Friday and Saturday

Amazing resort(Terranea)! Property is enormous and has plenty to explore. Attended event in Cielo Point. Awesome experience.

I almost forgot to post this. We got this pie for our Thanksgiving meal, and it wasn't even cooked all the way. As you can see in the middle of it, it was still raw. Honestly, it tasted better a week later from sitting in the fridge. Also, when I picked the pie up, I pointed at a New York style cheesecake to also purchase what I received was a lemon looking/tasting cheesecake pie. I'll never wait till last minute to get my dinner pies, especially for Thanksgiving.

I am always sad to see Marie Callendars as a shadow of what used to be a very popular restaurant. The food quality is still there. We had the turkey club croissant, which was delicious as always. Our waitress (there is only 1) is great. We can always rely on a comfortable experience!!

This is definitely one of the better locations that I have been too and the prices for a meal and slice of pie is actually 👌. I love their turkey chili and fork and knife burger. The cornbread is also pretty delish. Anyway, enjoy the photos in no particular order.

First time trying a meal from here, Chicken Fettuccine was good, Man taking the order seemed kinda Rude and abrupt. Ordered a banana creme slice of pie, the bananas were Old and the pie was basically covered with whip cream, I didn't like the fact that my pie was old, probably won't try this location again.

The food is awesome. We ordered the cobb salad and oh my omlette. Followed by cheesecake and a huge chocolate chip cookie. The cheese cake was to die for! The cookie to live for!

I enjoy eating here every time and appreciate being able to enjoy authentic sushi and Japanese dishes. They do rolls but go for the stuff you'd eat if you were in Japan. The sushi is meticulous, ambiance charming, it is a small business worth supporting and keeping alive.

Sushi is ok. Price is reasonable. The chief was so busy and tried. He was trying to convince us to orders something else like tempura rather that sushi, but we order sushi anyway. Lol. One of the waitress looks and sounds so moody when taking the order. Long wait time.

We usually eat here once a month, and for a good reason. Price, value, service, and portions are all top notch. Delicious calamari, and nigiri/sashimi selection is plentiful. Salmon collar also a great choice!

There is something very special about enjoying carefully crafted food while observing the artist crafting even more delicious food. I enjoyed immensely my dinner at the sushi counter of sushi toshiro. Personnel is attentive professional it's a low-key place where you can have equality carefully prepared meal while enjoying a neighborly atmosphere.

Enjoyed sitting at the sushi bar conversing with the owner and chefs. Very tasty assorted dishes, sashimi and sushi. My favorite was the Ankimo Monkfish liver.

I've been here a couple times now with friends. The décor is a bit "dated" but this doesn't detract from the quality of the food or service. SERVICE: Quite polite and attentive, as you'd expect in a Japanese restaurant. Sit at the counter for the sushi bar experience or a regular table for the regular menu as well. FOOD: This time I ordered a Tempura & Tonkatsu combination meal ($16.95). It's a good amount of food and everything was delicious. I was so full by time I finished my meal! Meals here also come with a cup of Miso soup, which was very good. OVERALL: Another nice dining experience with friends for some very tasty Japanese food!

I don't usually go here, because of all the u-turns to get there and come out of. Thanks to an unlocked chain in the old Marie calendars parking lot, makes it a lot easier. The food was good, and at a great price. Nice people, gave me a complimentary drink.

This is my first visit. I ordered a regular chicken sandwich. The bun, lettuce, and tomato was fresh. Thank goodness I was hungry because this sandwich has two patties of chicken. It could possibly feed two people. I could barely fit it in my mouth. Clean, and service was nice. I would come back.

The food at Broiler Express is always good. So, for that I have no complaints. My main complaint has been with the wait time at the drive through window. Granted, they're preparing your food fresh so if you want a well prepared meal just be willing to wait.

Today I had the best Bacon Burger in a long time, with fries and a large coke. My food was super good and very fresh, the cashier guy was excellent great customer service. Restaurant was very clean and the best part they have a T.V. to watch the sports which I really enjoy. Parking alot is nice and lots of spaces so you don't need to walk. I was at this location today. When I got home the fries were hot and good and the pastrami was horrible. It was tough and appeared to have been cooked yesterday and added to some pastrami that was cooked more recently. I will take it back tomorrow for a refund. I will never go to this location again. It’s always a hit or miss I actually gave the lady a 2.00 tip for a already over priced pastrami. I should have taken the time to go the original Fantastic on Gaffey.

I have been on a search for the best breakfast burrito in town. I think I found it here. Their breakfast burrito express was so good, not greasy and delicious. Also I love their Salmon dinner, and their fried zucchini is great again not greasy

I've been here before and it was much better. I ordered the Mongolian Beef from the lunch menu to go. I believe soup came with it because I discussed it with the woman taking my order. No soup was included. The Mongolian Beef looked like nothing I had ever seen before and was basically just vegetables, mainly baby corn and white onion. The flavor wasn't bad but I only discovered one lone scallion in a dish that's supposed to a mix of beef and scallions. The fried rice was fine and plentiful but I would not return.

First time having lunch here and can say that we enjoyed it. The food was great and the owner treated us as if we were friends. Can't complain about the food customer service or cleanliness. Lucky Star Chinese is a small mom-and-pops type restaurant that's easy to miss. We were satisfied with our visit and are more than happy to support them. We'll be back for more!

Ordered fried rice, Moo goo gui pan & house special pan fried noodles with gravy. Fried rice was ok but the other dishes I couldn't eat had way too much garlic. Brought it home going to make my own brown sauce and rinse the dishes to try & get rid of the strong garlic taste. Will use ingredients to make egg foo young or something. If u want good Chinese I recommend "Golden Pheasant" on Carson. Everything there is delicious & worth the drive. Don't waste ur money eating here.

Lucky Star is not your high end Chinese food. But they have a great lunch special that's very inexpensive and they give you lots of food with it. You can't beat it.

I give it five stars because I have not had one negative experience everything I ordered from pizza to pasta salad and the sandwiches the Godfather and the Italian sub they toast the bread it is to die for it is our go to place when my cousin Jennifer comes down from Bakersfield. She loves that place.

Authentic family owned Italian restaurant I’ve been going to for years. I moved out of California several years back but visit often and I always stop by hear. Best Meatball sub and pizza you will find at any price.

Food was awesome as ever moved to Nevada but everytime I come to cali i stop by and chow down on their great food. Been going here forever.

I stopped in on a whim. Ordered the Alfredo chicken linguini and pepperoni pizza to go. Both were bad, the alfredo dish was more on the horrible side. The Alfredo was more like a white flour gravy, no flavor even after dumping all the parmesean they provided. I ate the chicken, which was also bad. Minus the chicken, the dish ended up in the trash. 1/4 pizza eaten, 3/4 trash.

What a gem of a place! Its so great to have a little neighborhood mexican restaurant with REALLY good authentic food. The owners are super nice kind folks, and the servers are always wonderful. I dont know if i have ever had better fajitas than here!

This is a nice little spot tucked away. I was very happy when they moved out of the older location, which was hard to get in/out of to the plaza next to me. That meant, I could walk there anytime I wanted. It's a cozy little spot and the food is decent. I really love the chips and salsa and probably could get full just on that (reminds me of my college years!). The staff are friendly and have treated me well over the years. I really like the taco + enchilada combo plate. They pile on a lot of rice and beans on the side and the whole thing fills you up. I try to add a little more for tip each time I come because of the service and that I never leave home feeling empty.

Had fajitas trio. It is my favorite from here. Other good stuff is the macho burrito it is deep fried and you can get it with any filling even a California which is not on menu. Alex Elisa and Eva are very nice and are always happy to serve you.

I absolutely adore this restaurant. Ever since I moved to the area 20 years ago, I have been a loyal customer. This place holds a special significance for me as it was where my ex-husband first brought me when we started dating, and we continued to visit throughout our marriage and even after our divorce. We are regulars here, and you can often find us dining with our children. The restaurant feels like an extension of our family, and the food is consistently delightful. I always look forward to seeing the owner, Tony, who is incredibly kind and friendly.

I don't even leave reviews for food places but this place deserves more reviews. I was skeptical when I saw only 13 reviews but wow, this place is good. They genuinely give you as much or more food than you pay for. The flavors are great too and you will never find another poke place where you get more fish than rice. Absolutely give this place a try.

THIS. POKE. PLACE. IS. IT!!!!! One of the best part about this place is the freshness of all of ingredients that they use! You know how when you go to a high end sushi and sashimi restaurants and you take a bite of fish and you go “holy s**t this is fresh out of water.” Yeah. This is what you will taste. All ingredients are very fresh!!! They don’t play with quantity of food too. I eat big portion. Large size will fill you up BIG TIME. And one final thing that really impressed me. I’m Korean and can’t live without gochujang sauce. Poke place sauce that most place serve what they call “gochujang sauce” is actually called “chojang.” Regardless, my wife and I were very impressed by their “gochujang sauce” and said “wow this actually taste like a Korean restaurant sauce or maybe even better.” There is a park called Point Vincente. This poke place is perfect to take a poke bowl to go and drive just a minute from the mall to eat some fresh and tasty poke bowl in a beautiful chill park with ocean view!

Brian and Ben were so impressive-friendly, helpful, great attitude. That alone warrants 5 stars, especially these days when customer service is hard to come by. On top of it, the poke was generous, lots of toppings, fresh ingredients and one of the cleanest restaurants on the península!

Holy moly, thought I tried some good food until I ordered my first poke and ahi from this place. Fish and taco was fresh and seasoned to perfection, reminded me of back home in Oahu. Not gonna lie, pretty impressed with the bruschetta as well. Had a chance to brief chat with chef Brian, very friendly young man, made me feel very welcomed. Definitely a recommendation for my friends and family for a refreshing brunch!

This is, from my experience, an above average IHOP. A modern interior design and layout give this IHOP nice atmosphere, however, the restrooms could be cleaner. The service here is amazing, though the food does take some time to get to you. In terms of pricing, this place wont break the budget, especially for seniors. Don't be surprised if you're waiting up to a half hour to get in on busy days. The food is great, with quite large portions Overall, a good place to go for a weekend brunch.

Seems like Covid is still impacting some restaurants and their deliveries. Or just a shortage of supplies. Love going here for a quick bite to eat after dropping the kids off to school. But the last few times it seems like I could get a complete meal off their menu. They either didn't have certain item or just wasn't able to get things working properly. Staff is usually lite during the morning weekdays. But we just happen to have the same idea as 8 other hungry peeps. Service was slow although she did manage to attend to us all and even got the bust boy to help with seating and drinks. The food that they did have was tasty and we had no complaints as I finished the whole Colorado Omelet and took the pancakes to go. Loved that they still avocados which I probably paid a good penny to add them on. It was worth it. Overall I'm stuck in the middle with my rating. I'll give them another shot to see if this was just a fluke or has their service downgraded over the years. To be continued...

The service is really bad the food so far. Waffles when they arrive to our table cold. I ordered blueberry French toast and they were so tiny I had to send them back. Our server Monica waitress was nowhere to be seen very bad service she always looks mad upset and rude. Waiting there 10 minutes for my check I had to get up from the table wait for her to give me my check and pay at the counter. Overall zero stars if I could. Never coming back to this place.

We like to eat here for the variety of Persian and Italian food, but maybe they offer too much. Sometimes quality will suffer when you try to do too much. My pizza kinda tasted like a frozen pizza, but it was still good. My husbands lamb chops were delicious, just a little too salty for my taste. My daughters beef kabob was the best, melt in your mouth tender! I enjoyed my house salad, loved that it was chopped. Service was excellent. Took great care of us! We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town, but I don’t think I’ll order the pizza.

I just discovered this place as I am new to the area. But it is very conveniently close to my house. Yesterday I went in and got a ham & cheese sandwich. Not so good... with good intentions and in hopes of finding a convenient food option in the neighborhood, I figured I would try their pizza. So, I came back today. The menu is on the wall to the right when you walk in. Since I was ordering to go for a family of five, it would have been so much easier not to memorize the menu because the girl taking orders was all the way at the other end of the restaurant, where you can not see the menu and would not walk twenty feet to take an order... So, I ordered a four topping pizza: Pineapple, ham, olive & feta. They were out of feta, so instead of going to the other side of the restaurant to figure out what I wanted instead of feta, I took a three topping pizza. When I got home, the pizza was undercooked with the dough melting from the middle, it had practically no sauce and did not have olives. Literally the worst pizza I ever had in my entire life. I had throw it away because none of the kids wanted anything to do with it. I have no idea how this place can stay open. I would not suggest this establishment and I won't be going back.

Extensive menu, quick service, and delicious food. I thoroughly enjoyed the Caprese Rustica Sandwich, I’m still daydreaming about it the next day. Can’t wait to go back and try more!

This place has been here for as long as I can remember. I used to come here when I was in highschool, and they have always been the spot to buy the best baguettes. The sandwiches are fantastic as well. I've never been disappointed when coming here. You local folks around the Palos Verdes San Pedro area if you haven't tried it you are missing out.

Our favorite Italian place! One of the last privately owned and operated by the chef himself anywhere. We have moved, so I don’t get to frequent as often I use to, or as often as I like☹️, but whenever I get within 15 miles of Francesco’s, I make sure to come! We love their sausage sandwich, meatball sandwich, and eggplant and turkey sandwich… And they have the BEST pizza anywhere around. Fresh dough, homemade sauce ....trust me....best pizza!! If you love pizza, you’ll be so happy if you get pizza from here. I’ll get a couple whenever I’m near here and will take them home to my family....which easily makes me the fam favorite for awhile😍

Just discovered a gem so close to home! Almost feels like I won the lottery, well not really; but I am excited. Fresh ingredients, delicious, and excellent quality. Fresh baked baguette's by the loaf. Secret's out, now you know too! I had the Chicken Parmesan on a fresh baked baguette-perfection! Pizza, pasta, sandwiches, salads, Espresso, desserts.. and they deliver!😃👏🍕🥗☕️🍪

They delivered wrong pizza. When I called they said I was mistaken and I had to argue with them to get replacement pizza. After over an hour no replacement pizza had been delivered. So I called and they said pizza had been delivered. No pizza had been delivered. No pizza at front door and I had been watching my ring the whole time. Finally my husband actually drove to store to get pizza. No apology nothing. Never ordering from there again.

The pizza was tasty and warm. Delivery within 20 minutes.😋

Great location! This Domino's Pizza location is a great one where they strive to give you good food. The service is very fast despite the short staff and they are always nice and polite. You can get good deals here and the price is very reasonable! I love the Chicken Alfredo Pasta inside of the bread. The sauce of the pasta is very creamy and nice along with the bread being fresh. I'm in love with the garlic bread twists. I'm always happy with the food here!

This is the worst store in the dominos network. Every time I order is is late - takes more than an hour and it’s cold. When you call the store to complain you get the run around. Last time it took 90 minutes to get the wrong pizza, they said they’d replace it right away. Then 60 minutes later I called to see where it was. They hadn’t started it and said it would be another 45 minutes. Ridiculous!!!!

Awful, awful, awful! The pizza took over 1 hour and 20 minutes and I live 1.5 miles away! They don't answer the phone to check on your order. I drove to the store and they told me it was out for delivery. I got home and the pizza arrived 15 minutes later! Never again!

I live 5 minutes away from this store, after placing an order and waiting a reasonable amount of time, I call in for details on the order (roughly 45 minutes after placing the order). I am told that the driver left 15 minutes ago and had to do 2 other deliveries. I am calling in more than an hour and 20 minutes after placing the order and no one is picking up the phone. Pizza will be cold by now I guess. What ever you do, don't order delivery.

Had the worst experience. My kids wanted me to order Papa John's but I insisted on Dominos. When I picked up my order, half the crust was burnt - actually black. I did not realize until I got home. I called to report the problem and talked with the manager. She said she needed to see the pizza and I told her I did not want to drive to the store again -- my kids were waiting for their dinner. She said she could get a replacement delivered, then said she was too busy and would give me a credit, and then changed her mind and said she'd have one delivered. I guess she was too cheap to provide the credit. I called 30 minutes later asking where the pizza was. I live 6 minutes from the store. She told me the driver had already left. It is now 12 minutes since I called and still no pizza. Won't be ordering from them anymore!

This place had delicious shrimp and green beans in light mushroom sauce -Large tender juicy shrimp - not overcooked or salty like many places-I would always ask for very light sauce and they always accommodated my request.- delicious and reasonable prices- 1 order yielded enough for 2 meals - I’m sorry they’re now closed it seems! 01/17/20 Phone disconnected / no online orders, Place has butcher paper in all the windows even though the front sign is still on.

I decided to try a new place tonight and was not pleased with the food received. I ordered the food online and it was not ready to be picked up. They didn’t even know I had placed an order. We ordered the sweet and sour chicken witch was extremely hard. We also got the general chicken witch was soggy and had no flavor, vegetable lo main with tasted burnt and beef and broccoli(it was okay in flavor). The Fried rice was literally rice and egg. The food was way overpriced for the low quality food received. We will not be coming back.

The spicy orange chicken was actually really good here.. I had the lunch special with the teriyaki chicken, spicy orange chicken, rice and vegetables.. I was in the area and decided to try this place. I would give it 5 stars, but there was some trash on the floor and the table i sat at was sticky. Also there's not a lot of parking in this center.

I'm sorry but this was a waste of our money. All of the food we ordered basically went into the trash. The food lacked flavor, the meats were hard to eat because they tasted terrible. We ordered war won ton soup, how could you screw that up? But it was almost uneditable. Pork fried rice was sticky and the pork was awful. General chicken was horrible. I suggest looking elsewhere. Sorry Top Wok but you need to step up your game.

I love this restaurant! It is charming, comfortable, accommodating and the food is delicious. Just celebrated a special birthday luncheon they were a wonderful waiter. All can't wait to go back.

This restaurant is delicious! I went with a group of 7 for dinner and the service was great. Everyone enjoyed their meals - the mac and cheese is a must (easily split between 3-4 people)!

Our order (placed online) was delivered missing a full Sweet & Sour Pork meal. We received the Teriyaki Chicken meal (with 2 extra scoops[?] of meat) -- but it wasn't very teriyaki-like (in appearance, or taste). An order of Broccoli & Mushrooms says it comes with rice -- I requested Chow/LoMain Noodles instead; my request was IGNORED -- (they didn't even call to say they won't make that substitution) -- I received rice. ** Customer Service was Terrible! ** The woman on the phone basically said (paraphrasing) 'Boo-hoo, Oh-well, Too bad'. When my Sweet & Sour Pork arrived, it was just that -- a container of meat & a container of sauce. NO rice, even though they advertise rice comes with ALL dinner meals. Any way you look at it, I PAID for a side dish (either Noodles or Rice) that was NEVER RECEIVED. ---> We will NOT be ordering from Top Wok, in PVE, ever again. P.S. The delivery person was nice and polite. Kudos go only to him. 👍🏻 P.S.S. Frankie came a THIRD time to make a delivery -- he spoke up for me, in order to make things right -- and he brought the missing Lo Main. 🙂

So here is my review about this place. Let me just say that I've been to a lot of Dennys around L.A. but this one is a very good one. 1 # decoration 8/10 : the decoration is good. A lot of space and son to come in and you can see the kitchen. They also have a new robot. 2# ambiance 10/10: the ambiance is very good. A lot of families, a lot of people coming here to celebrate their birthday or other events. 3 # service 10/10: the service here is very, very good. All the staff are amazing from Vivian to Eddie to the owners. 4 # food 10/10: this is one of the best Dennys I have ate. You can see that the cooks love to make food. 5# cleanest 8/10 : it is mostly very clean, even the bathrooms. Yes , do recommande this place

I often visit this Danny's, not only because of its suitable location, but also because I feel that the environment here is quieter, the seats are spacious, and there are not many customers. It is my favorite time to enjoy dinner quietly here. Since there are not many customers, the restaurant has relatively few employees, but the service attitude is still very attentive, and the quality of the food is not bad! However, sometimes, the kitchen's products are a bit below the standard. For example, the salmon we ordered today was overcooked and the fish became very dry and hard.

I rarely get out to the South Bay since moving to Hollywood, but today I was there and stopped in to this Denny's for early dinner. Maria was my server, and she was absolutely outstanding. I am on a healthy diet at the moment, and ordered the salmon dinner which came with delicious broccoli, zucchini, and I added a side of mushrooms and a side salad. The additional choices were recommended by Maria and it turned out to be the perfect combination. Also, as I walked in the door she greeted me with a very inviting and cheerful "Welcome to Denny's". More people should realize that Denny's does have several health-conscious items on their menu in addition to the comfort foods, etc., and THIS Denny's proved to be head and shoulders above the rest.

Hi! I got my breakfast this morning with my family at Danny's on Western Ave...We arrived so early to find parking. Parking lot is good but small...prices of food have the average of the any restaurant around ....we enjoyed the breakfast very much! Yummy yummy!!

I had early dinner 07/24/25 hadn’t been to this Dennys in over a year, to my Big Surprise, it has been totally remodeled, from floor to ceiling, booths, tables, lighting, it was to nice to walk into Dennys again. The food and the service was great . I highly recommend this Dennys restaurant to the people of San Pedro It’s under new management and ownership.

Stopped by for a bite and had a great experience. Marjorie was our server super friendly and made sure everything was on point. Food came out quick and the service was smooth. Definitely coming back.

This is the best Denny’s around by far! The food is always on point, the place is so clean you could film a commercial and the service is amazing. Our server Marjorie C. was fantastic today, and Ernesto is also always fantastic!
