Baker St Cakes is a delightful macaron and cake boutique situated on Francis St/Allandale Road. The cafe offers an array of delectable cakes, cupcakes, and irresistible macarons. The charming and dainty ambiance makes it a perfect spot for catching up with friends or celebrating special occasions. Renowned for its exceptional customer service, Baker St Cakes has garnered praise for its impeccable communication, even with overseas customers.
I had placed an order for a cake from Baker Street. Alhamdulliah they did a really beautiful cake. It looks really lovely. They provide an excellent service. I highly recommend them. My mum loved the cake. Baker street your my number 1 Baker from now on.

Went in today for the first time, and the service was excellent! I had the vanilla latte, and my friend had the pistachio latte—both were delicious. The owners were so lovely, and the place was buzzing with customers. Can’t wait to visit again!

I don’t know where to start in regards to this review. We have been customers for years - ordering our birthday cakes as well as coming in for our weekly baker st fix. They have always been very accommodating with all requests we have made in regards to our cakes. And the service & treats in store are truly divine. Keep up the great work 🤍✨
Occasion G — Google review
Amazing cakes, I tried all of their fruit pastries and omg they are delicious. They were very friendly as well. Plus they gave us free macarons as we recommended our friends.
Natasha D — Google review
The decor, the ambience, and the service were all 10/10 — really lovely and welcoming. I always go for funfetti cake or school cake whenever I’m out for coffee and cake, so I was excited to try it here. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed this time. The cake I bought for takeaway was stale and dry when I had it at home, which was a letdown. Hoping it was just a one-off, because everything else was really great.
Nikka L — Google review
With my heavy heart, I rated you 2 stars. First of all, the chocolate burnt cheesecake I had was so wonderful it could make you forget all sadness in the world. It was that good, balanced, light, but rich, and so was the coffee. My empty cup and plate was the verdict. But the café that day was like a boombox. It was around 5pm Friday. I went in and there was a family of three sitting there already. I ordered at the counter and took a bar seat since I was alone. Then two more customers came in and started chatting with the family. They stood right behind my seat and didn’t even sit down. Their voices were so loud like people with hearing impairment who cannot hear themselves and need to turn up their volume all the time. I looked at them, and they didn’t even budge as if I were invisible. I didn’t need or want to hear about their family bragging. So, I left the café with my food untouched. I let the owner (I believe he was) know that I’d be back hoping they would quiet down by the time I came back. I expected to have a peaceful time after a long day at the end of the week, and my experience that day failed miserably. I know it’s not totally the café’s fault but your customers are part of your brand. And if your establishment attracts a certain type of clientele, that does say something about your brand. And that brand is not for me. You’re not the only loud food establishment in Leicester, luckily there are ones that are more serene too.
Soonyata M — Google review
Not busy, however i ordered a ras malai milk cake and it was pretty much a plain cake without the milk?
Susu — Google review
If you’re looking for a great shop, this is it. I’m not normally a cake person unless it taste super light, fluffy and the cream is just perfect. I’ve been to this shop many times, I can’t get enough of their cakes. And if for some reason you don’t see what you want, they’re constantly updating their menu you will for sure find something. Their macarons are delightful. I have placed an order for a few large cakes as well and the attention to detail is impeccable. It is obvious that the owner and baker are very passionate about this business. Would love for them to expand in the country.

Tucked away in the vibrant heart of Leicester, The Tiny Bakery is a delightful little spot that has quickly become a favorite among locals and visitors alike. Despite its name, this charming bakery offers an impressive selection of baked goods that are sure to tantalize your taste buds. With friendly staff always ready to greet you with warm smiles, it’s no wonder there’s often a line of eager customers waiting to get their hands on these scrumptious treats.
The Tiny Bakery is the type of shop many will hope keeps baking for as long as they can. Situated just on Clarendon Park Road and the junction with Queens Road, it has a great location for local residents and many others visiting this popular area. Making some wonderful baked goods that have nice twists - such as the croissants with cheese I noticed - they often have people queueing outside with good reason. On my visit they were near closing time and I was waiting to get a taxi home in the rain. The oat cookie perhaps one the simplest things one can bake was melt, soft and delicious. This is somewhere I will find myself coming back to and earlier in the day to try their bread especially. Service was friendly of course in their, well , tiny space which maybe small but is wonderful. Very much worth checking out.
Hywel M — Google review
Visited this tiny bakery today based on a recommendation. The queue on a Saturday morning was just massive! Waited 30 mins before I got to go inside. It's a very small shop so space inside is limited. The staff were very polite and friendly. I purchased almond croissants, strawberry danish pastry, cinnamon swirl and rose pistachio croissant. Overall they were good but not as good as I may have anticipated, and I'd rate them at 7/8 out of 10. Parking is limited on nearby streets. I would try it again but maybe at a less busier time.
Muhammad I — Google review
It’s wonderful to have a local independent bakery that can stand against the encroachment of big brand chain stores. The Tiny Bakery is like a breath of fresh air in the Clarendon Park area. It’s among the few decent bakeries we have but certainly not the best. Taste-wise, the products can give you a good moment, but price-wise, you’ll think twice before buying them. Too expensive, it’s ridiculous. 2.40£ for a plain croissant which tastes very basic. Fly to Paris where the word croissant came from and get you can get an award-winning croissant for less than 1€. I only buy from this shop during festivals for fancy items, like a tombstone cupcake during Halloween. The drink is nice though. I recommend the refreshing London Fog!
Soonyata M — Google review
Amazing service and artisan bakes! We often visit The Tiny Bakery and we travel from the other side of Leicester just to get your delicious bakes! Definitely the best bakery in Leicester! The taste of your edible goodies are so fresh and are unique in taste! Thank you so much! Much loved by the whole family xxxxxx
Jasmine K — Google review
This small independent bakery is an absolute gem. Every time I visit, I’m blown away by the quality of the bread, pastries, cakes, and coffee—all made fresh in-house. You can taste the difference—everything is incredibly fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully made. Honestly, half the time it looks too good to eat (but of course I do anyway)! The artisan breads have the perfect crust and crumb, the pastries are buttery and flaky, and the cakes are next-level delicious. And the coffee? Smooth, rich, and the perfect pairing. Prices are more than fair for the quality you’re getting. Just a tip: get there early if you can—this place sells out fast, and once it’s gone, it’s gone. That’s how you know it’s the real deal. Support local—you won’t regret it.
BASID A — Google review
I recently visited The Tiny Bakery for my birthday, and I was blown away by how incredible their pastries are! Everything was so fresh and delicious, with a variety that pleased everyone in my family—both young and old. From flaky croissants to rich cakes, every bite was a treat. It was the perfect way to celebrate, and I’ll definitely be coming back for more! Highly recommend if you’re looking for top-notch baked goods with something for everyone.
Praveen K — Google review
Rose & Pistachio Croissant + Coconut and Raspberry Swirl were definitely our favourites! (We tried quite a few)
Shaakirah F — Google review
You know this bakery is the real deal when you have queues 8am first thing on a Saturday morning! Expect to find all sorts of baked goods you wouldn't see at your typical bakery, with flavours perfect for any persons liking. Favourite was the Almond Croissant, extremely soft with a scrumptious almond filling this has to be one of the top bakeries in Leicester.

If you're looking for a charming spot to unwind, The Skylark Bakery is the perfect destination. Nestled in the vibrant Clarendon Park area of Leicester, this delightful bakery prides itself on its stunning array of baked goods and inviting atmosphere. With its chic yet minimalist decor, it offers an upscale experience without being overly extravagant.
Brillant café! I’ve been there a few times already for both dine-in and takeaway. The cupcakes and coffee are always on point, especially the black bottom one. I like that they have high and low tables. There are mini corners, ideal for customers, like me, who want to have a cozy space to read or write a diary over a drink or nice food. The interior is just too cute! Definitely need to check it out if you haven’t so. Always lovely service!
Soonyata M — Google review
We tried the corn frittata, Turkish egg, cinnamon bun, Latte with caramel syrup. Cardamom buns were not as exciting as most of the other selections. Quite a nice place with good tasting food. Too bad its opening times are so restrictive.
Abhinav K — Google review
Lovely cute little bakery/cafe situated in the popular Clarendon park area. There is limited seating but the place has a peaceful atmosphere. We came here for lunch, both sweetcorn fritters and turkish eggs were delicious! Slightly longer wait times than usual for the food to be ready but happy to wait as everything’s freshly made. Pleasant experience!
Love B — Google review
The breakfast was amazing, absolutely delicious! Nice cozy cafe with a great service✨
Poon K — Google review
Delicious and different brunch offerings. We had the Turkish Eggs and the sweetcorn fritters. Both really tasty, although an extra slice of toast to mop up the gorgeous garlicky yoghurt would have been even better. Really fragrant Earl Grey tea. Service was very slow, even though the café wasn't busy, hence dropping a star. Will definitely be back, as want to try more from the menu.

Ordered the Turkish eggs and they were DIVINE, I am so obsessed. Delicious brunch bagel, and yummy coffee too. We came here from recommendation and were not disappointed, such a sweet spot and lovely staff, will definitely be returning !! 🔆🔆

Cosy, nicely decorated, lush, tasty and interesting dishes... a winning combination! I had the breakfast bowl and was more than happy with the portion size, as well as presentation and taste. Go and try it! You won't regret it. Oh, and the hand cream in the restroom is amazing!!
CHEMIST A — Google review
One of my favorite spots in leicester! The food is amazing, with very good ingredients, their sweets are delightful and their coffee is simply exquisite. The service is always so nice and helpful and the atmosphere is so peaceful. I normally order their avocado toast which is so mouthwatering but my friends have also ordered the brunch bagel or the Turkish eggs and their cupcakes which were all a 10/10! Could not recommend more!!

This café showcases visually appealing cakes that are both delicious and sophisticated. The cakes boast an ideal texture, neither too spongy nor overly soft, with a moistness that enhances their elaborate presentation.
Visited the newly opened cafe today with my mum and sister. We ordered the Ruby hot chocolate and kinder iced coffee both were absolutely amazing! We also ordered the obligatory Bruce cake lol. Lotus cookie with ice cream and 3 cheese toastie. All tasted delicious. Most of all we received exceptional customer service from zaimin and Ellen, who constantly made sure we were ok and were happy with everything aswell as comfortable with our seating. Will defo visit again . 10/10

I ordered a red velvet cake for my son’s first birthday party but received a Victoria sponge cake instead. They’ve always been amazing at delivering in the past, but this time they got it wrong and insisted I’d ordered a vanilla cake — even after I showed them our chat as proof. They might have misread my message, but they still should have confirmed the order with me beforehand, which they didn’t. Unfortunately, this mistake ruined part of the birthday party theme, as we had an Elmo theme and a red velvet cake was a must. I feel very let down. They need to work on their communication skills and always confirm final orders with customers to ensure accuracy.
Tasduk N — Google review
An exotic array of cakes, cookies, brownies and desserts. The milk Cake is a must try. An altogether exceptional creation.
Manjit G — Google review
This is one of my favourite places to meet up with my friends. The cafe has a chic New York vibe, the staff are so warm and friendly and very informative. There is such a wide selection of the lushest cakes, desserts and drinks. Highly recommended!
Regina G — Google review
The kake temptations team never let me down. They pull out all the stops I have been getting my occasion cakes from here for the past couple of years. They can be difficult to book in as I understand they are very busy but I just don’t like cake from anywhere else I always have to get it from here! They have very chic cakes and tasty ones too. I love the birthday cakes they have done so far and I always look forward to my kids birthdays just so I can order a cake from here!!! The price is also very very good for the quality of cake you are getting
Zed T — Google review
Quick service, beautifully presented cafe cakes on display which looked elegant and mouthwateringly tasty The consistency of the cakes were perfect, it wasn't too spongey or too soft, the cakes were moist and really elaborate in the way they were presented. I tried the lemon cake, Bruce Cake, Red Velvet, Kinder Bueno and the Coffee Cake. Only downside I found was it too sweet for my liking. The best cakes out of the ones I tried were the Kinder Bueno cake and Bruce cake.
Adnan H — Google review
I really do like the cakes here and have never had any problems previously. I used to collect them in-store and the cakes were perfectly packaged however when I started to get them delivered sometimes the cakes were put in really small packaging and arrived completely destroyed. The pictures are from the ones I bought in-store in comparison to the ones that were delivered at home.
Harsha T — Google review
The cakes here were excellent, very tasty. Ordered the lotus biscoff cake slice, cookie dough brownie and peanut butter brownie. The brownies were very chocolatey and overly sweet for me but my friends enjoyed them. Lotus biscoff slice was perfect among of sweetness. The shop owner is very friendly and easy to talk to. However the items are quite expensive compared to other bakeries.

I visited Wistow Café Bistro recently for breakfast and had a satisfying meal. I ordered the Nutella pancake stack while my partner chose the big breakfast, both of which arrived promptly and tasted delicious. The café has a pleasing ambiance with friendly staff. The portion sizes were good value for money, especially compared to other places I've been to. They have a wide selection of hot and cold drinks, but I opted for a large mug of tea which was served without using a teapot.
Really fantastic breakfast menu and great for vegetarians. Went as a family for brunch for a birthday. Coffee was nice and strong. There was gf cakes on offer that looked home made. Lots of different sections to choose from for seating. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Julia Y — Google review
Gluten free huge disappointment I’m sorry but when you charge exactly the same for both of these plates I would have at least expected a little more smoked salmon on the gluten free bun. Could barely taste due to the amount of bread. Also presentation, what a difference if you’d just have made open ‘sandwich’ type with the bun. Sorry but I know prices of gluten free bread and smoked salmon and this does not equate to equal value for money and appearance was nothing, top was on bun when it arrived. Even just opening it I did for this picture made itvloook more presentable. . Feel you let yourself down with this one. Rest of the groups meals looked lovely.
Rosemarie M — Google review
Popped in for lunch. The tuna melt was delicious and reasonably priced. Wonderful coffee. Didn't have a cake but they looked amazing so I'll be back! We sat outside - lovely!
Timothy1992 — Google review
Our coffee tasted watered down. The stars I have given are basically for how beautiful the place is. But it’s not ran well. It’s a shame as we’ve been coming for years as a family. We had a latte and a cappuccino. The latte had a very watery texture. I’m used to lattes with skimmed milk, this wasn’t that. It tasted watered down and lacking in flavour. The cappuccino didn’t have the texture of a cappuccino, more like water. The froth seemed to just disintegrate and the whole texture was thin and tasteless. We didn’t bother to complain because the staff were so busy, we simply couldn’t be bothered especially after having queued for so long. We’ve complained on a previous disappointing visit and haven’t found them to be receptive (the Google review replies indicate they haven’t changed, so what’s the point?) Won’t be coming back in a rush. Why on earth they have 1 member of staff serving when the queue is huge, I have no idea. Theres a clear lack of urgency to get the queue down. Overall another poor experience, such as shame as the place itself is wonderful.

Had a lovely mothers day afternoon tea. Kelly and her team were so friendly and were efficient with replenishing tea pots and drinks. The food was plentiful and fresh! We got greedy and got some extra bits and it was scrummy. Please keep up the good work
Baninder G — Google review
The cakes that we had were nice, there was a good selection to choose from. I am displeased with the amount of tea we got though, for the price we paid we just got a small mug (filled 2 thirds). A good cafe would have supplied a teapot.
Robin A — Google review
Unfortunately, the salad I found was overpriced for its worth. I was expecting a good tasty dressing at the very least. Large portion of salmon and I thought there could have been more leaves/ vegetables. Perhaps a good dressing and proportion check would make it more enjoyable. Good service otherwise, thank you.

The menu features scrumptious cakes, creamy gelato, heavenly Belgian waffles, ice-cold smoothies, and indulgent freakshakes.
The staff at Brü were lovely and I absolutely adored the hot Dubai chocolate brownie! The pistachio kunafa flavor was exceptional, with perfectly chosen toppings that made it even more delightful. For £8.75 it’s worth it.

Perfect afternoon treat at BRU coffee in Leicester city centre! The cappuccino art was beautifully done and tasted even better - smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced. The brownie was decadently fudgy with a delicious nutty crunch and just the right amount of sweetness. Love the modern industrial vibe with those cage pendant lights. Great spot for a coffee break with quality that matches the stylish atmosphere. ☕🍫

Very comfortable seating, nice and cosy, good food, desserts and healthier options as well. Love the choice of coffees available. I’ve got the Spanish rose latte, excellent.

A Delightful Experience at Bru I recently visited Bru and had a fantastic experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The service was fast, which was great since we were on a tight schedule. The cafe itself is beautifully decorated and has a cozy, inviting atmosphere. It’s a lovely place to relax and enjoy a meal. I ordered the full English breakfast, and it was delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing, from the crispy sausage to the perfectly scrambled eggs. Overall, Bru is a wonderful place with friendly staff, quick service, nice decor, and great food. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back!

I have frequented the Thurlaston Garden Centre and Tea Room numerous times with my parents. While I usually go for their fantastic coffee and cakes, this occasion marked my first time trying out their meals. My partner and parents had never been before, making the experience even more special. The hot drinks were actually served piping hot, which is a rare find among cafes these days.
It's our first time visiting the garden center since it's miles away from us and I am so glad that my husband and I were not disappointed since we enjoyed strolling and checkin in with the varieties of plants that we will fancy.. They got ready to wear shop and a cafe which made me hungry as I stepped in .It was a lovely day for both of us and we never went back home empty handed .

Nice garden centre. The cafe has a good selection of food and cakes although I felt like more of an inconvenience to the cafe staff than a paying customer. They would probably benefit from some customer service training. The lady in the shop was extremely friendly.

A Lovely Garden Centre The first time visiting the garden centre, you'll find it to be a lovely place with reasonable prices. It offers a wide range of products, including garden supplies, plants, flowers, fruits, and gorgeous gifts and home items. They also have a selection of clothing, footwear, and gifts for children . The cafe at the garden centre is beautifully decorated and offers a nice menu. They even have treats for dogs! One highly recommended item is their scones. Card payment only. The garden centre provides plenty of free parking spaces, including disabled parking spaces. It's a great place to visit for all your gardening needs and more!

I visited the Gardener's Rest Cafe that's located in the Thurlaston Garden Centre with my mum & nanna for my pre 21st birthday lunch on September 29th. We were amazed at how beautiful and eye-catching the scenery of the cafe was and it definitely goes beyond your average, run of the mill garden centre cafe, it looked so modern, fresh and you can tell a lot of thought went into the design as it was very well decorated, spacious with both indoor and outdoor, dog friendly seating and had such a warm, inviting, calm atmosphere. We were greeted and seated quickly upon arrival and didn't have to wait too long for the table service once we were seated, the young ladies who served us were all very nice, friendly and welcoming and swiftly brought our food and drinks over. We arrived after the kitchen closed so only cake and light snacks were available but still they had a decent selection of delicious, tempting cakes, pastries and drinks to choose from. I opted for a fruit scone with jam & butter which was served warm and was pleasant, if I hadn't already got my birthday cake I would've definitely gone for one of the bigger cakes instead as they looked amazing! We all had a wonderful time and highly enjoyed our visit, I will definitely be returning the next time I come to see my nanna as I loved the overall aesthetic of the cafe and thought it was so unique 😊

This was my first visit to this garden centre even though I've lived in Leicestershire since 1985! I didn't venture into the tea room but it looked popular, I was there to buy plants and I'm glad I did, they've got an amazing range at fantastic prices. All the plants I bought were in great condition and clearly cared for perfectly, I'll most definitely be going back in the very near future

Great garden center with internal shop selling clothing, garden stuff, great plant selection including hanging baskets at very reasonable prices, cafe with home cooked food and a designated area for dog owners. Love the cakes and drinks selection. Note table service only in cafe, so check out the cakes before u sit down.
Linda K — Google review
It sadly took a while for the waitress to come over to serve us. She was disinterested and quite passive in her approach. We ordered the food (they had a great selection for vegetarians and people who are GF) and then the waitress told us that the cafe did not take cash. This is very disappointing as I didn’t have my card. We had to leave without food despite travelling over 40 minutes to get there. A complete waste of time and petrol for those who still like to use cash.
Leighanne G — Google review
We only discovered this garden centre and tea rooms last month. We've visited 3 times. The selection of flowers and prices are excellent. The gift section good and the tea rooms are beautiful. However, my auntie nearly got charged double for her flowers. The bill should have been £50 they tried initially to charge over £100, so be careful. The stars I have given are for the garden centre - unfortunately I've had to knock marks off due to our experience in the tea rooms. However, on google it states "open until 5pm". We arrived to the tea rooms at 3:30 and we're told they were closing at 4 but we could still order coffee and cake. So we went in and ordered. The waitress serving us made it a point to be cold, passive aggressive and evident she wasn't happy to be serving us. She kept saying "I should be able to go home"... it was only 3:30. I'm really disappointed because she has left me and my family feeling completely unwelcome to go back. When you advertise your opening time on Google until 5, customers walking in at 3:30 is certainly not unreasonable. If you don't want to serve us, close your doors. Why let customers in and then be rude to them for being there? We are paying customers. It's such a shame because the garden centre itself is lovely, the garden centre staff are friendly and helpful. It's good value. However, I feel like I don't want to go back because being treated so rudely by the tea rooms staff member has certainly left a bitter taste in our mouths! There's plenty of other options nearby for enjoyable coffee and cake where we feel welcome, we won't be rushing back.

La Forêt Café is a charming spot with a beautiful floral and Middle Eastern ambiance, featuring an accent flower wall and hanging pottery. The cafe offers delicious coffee and sweet staff who sometimes treat customers to complimentary meringues or cookies. Situated at the end of Newark, just before the main shopping center, it's perfect for a post-shopping visit.
I had the best English breakfast of my life. The chef deserves a Michelin star. Let me tell you, it’s worth the wait. I didn’t know it was possible to have such an amazing English breakfast. The smoothie was also incredible. I highly recommend this place; the staff are very humble. I will definitely come back! We came in the afternoon also for a salad and I never tasted such a salad in my life. 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Amazing food and wonderful people running this small but very cosy restaurant and café. The dishes were not only delicious but also beautifully presented. Definitely the best breakfast I've had eating out this year! I'll absolutely be coming back — and highly recommend it to everyone to try!

Visited La Forêt Café on the Sunday 23rd February 2025, about 10:15am in the morning. The cafe was not all that busy but had a few diners dining inside. The place is a family run business, as the married couple were preparing other customers orders. Went to the till area and I told them I am going to dine inside, so they gave me a menu to look at. I ordered the Eggs Benedict (£9.50) and the Dragonwell Green Tea (£2.80). In total £12.30 The Eggs Benedict is what I called comfort breakfast, the ciabatta bread was nice and soft. The poached eggs were just right, with a little bit of runny yolk. The turkey bacon had a nice Smokey flavour. The Dragonwell Green Tea with mint was nice and refreshing.

A little North African Gem in Leicester’s city centre! Such a cute and cosy cafe serving a variety of delicious halal food! My husband went for the full English with all the trimmings and I had the harissa turkey ciabatta which were both amazing! Decided to get a sweet treat and shared a warm Belgian waffle with vanilla ice cream safe to say we polished the lot! Husband gets a chai latte at almost every place we go and have to say this was one of the best he’s had ! I always need a Spanish latte fix and this was different with a sprinkle of pistachio. Had to finish with a soothing pot of Moroccan tea. Service was 10/10 , we were sat upstairs which had plenty of room but there’s also space outside and we were served in good time and always asked if we needed anything. Will definitely be a go to of ours whenever we’re in town 👌🏼 Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu! 100 % recommend :)

La Forêt Café has been our favourite place to eat since we first found it through Instagram in 2022. We are regular customers and have always been impressed with Rads, his team, the menu and the quality of the dishes. He is a wizard when it comes to cakes - and La Forêt is worth a visit for that alone. However, it is Rads’ Tunisian style of food which is where my favourites lay. His use of harissa as an accompanying spice / condiment is inspired. His choices of beautiful crockery together with the music streaming takes you somewhere other than King Street in Leicester. This is no ‘greasy spoon’, and whilst those cafes have a massive following (me included) it is more than a treat to visit La Forêt. I write this as we are about to relocate away from Leicester, which will make future visits even more special as we coordinate visits to see family & friends with Rads’ opening hours. It has been a pleasure getting to know Rads over the last few years and we will miss everything about La Forêt. And not forgetting, we have always been made to feel welcome when we visit with our dog too. Sitting outside in the sunshine, eating phenomenal food and cake, drinking excellent coffee and watching the world go by as people walk past to & from New Walk is a real treat. Folks - please try La Forêt. I wouldn’t gush with praise if I didn’t mean it. Take care Rads and see you on our next trip. Luke

A beautiful Moroccan cafe. The staff were very friendly and kind. We sat outside under the umbrella for fresh air. We ordered a Moroccan pot of tea which was divine and had fresh mint leaves in. Me and my mum decided to order the full English breakfasts. The portion sizes were perfect, sausages were cooked to perfection and the beans were seasoned well with pepper. We also tried the baba ganouch which tasted fresh and again seasoned very well. I will definitely be coming here again as the service was impeccable. All of the staff seem very hard working to meet the needs of the customers.

Chloe Gourmet is a charming French patisserie, cafe, and restaurant located on Cank Street. The owner and pastry chef, Assia Bettat, also known as Chloe, offers an array of authentic French pastries and cakes that are beautifully crafted. Visitors can indulge in classic French desserts such as Pain au Chocolat or chocolate fondant for a sweet treat. The cozy atmosphere makes it a perfect spot for couples to enjoy delicious pastries and coffee together.
I was keen to try this place after it opened and finally got the opportunity. I have to say I was plesently surprised. This is situated near St Martins square. A very cute French inspired cafe. The aesthetics were rustic and a cross between a tea room/cafe. I would reccomend for brunch and lunch. This place is fully halal. We ordered their brunch dishes including full English breakfast and smashed avocado with poached eggs and smoked salmon. Both were served to perfection. The sausages in the full english were off high quality, the eggs were cooked to perfection with runny yolks and they let you swap out mushrooms for those that are not a fan. We paired this with hot beverages including Americano and chai latte which were nice and smooth. We ordered the pastries as take away as we were too full and they were amazing! Have been to Paris a few times and this really was on par with some of the pastries I have had there. I would highly recommend to all. Only downside is they are a small business so service can be a little slow due to fewer staff on shift. I noted they did also serve meals like burger, wraps and pasta dishes. I will return to try those. Overall, highly recommend 👍🏼

I have been to this place on a few occasions now. Very good selection of pastries and cakes. Having said that, even the food on the menu is nice too. Slightly on the expensive side, but worth it. Staff are polite and helpful. Food can sometimes take a little while. I find parking in the Haymarket Shopping Centre the easiest.

This was a really cute place in Leicester. The food was well seasoned, normally I add salt and pepper becauseit aint right, but this was definitely not needed for the breakfasts. The French Breakfast was beautiful, I loved the French Toast that came with it as it was crispy and soft. We even tried their patisseries, which were delicious. Defo recommend the hazelnut one. This will definitely not be my last time visiting as I want to try more of those lovely patisseries. It really did have a French vibe to it too which was unique.

Chloe Gourmet really is a hidden gem of a coffee and sweet shop, with great looking lunch options to boot. The quality of the fair on offer isn't reflected through high prices either and there are plenty of seating options depending on whether you want to relax and drink or have food.

I went with my family couple weeks back for an English breakfast and coffee. I loved it, everything was well seasoned and fresh. I believe it’s a halal place so they don’t include bacon in the English breakfast and beef sausage instead of pork. Nevertheless this was outstanding. Looking forward to my next visit.

Place was quiet, went for brunch on a weekday. Gorgeous looking pastries in the counter displays. Food itself was delish

Had a wonderful Brunch at Chloe Gourmet. The Service, staff and ambience were all great. The seating did feel a little tight but the cafe has been set out to make the most of the space available. Prayer area is also available which is always great. We ordered the Caesar Salad and a Chicken Panini with Curly Fries, Both were delicious. We then had some Hot Drinks and tried a variety of different Pâtisseries which were all freshly made. There is a great selection of Pâtisseries available all which looked delicious but from the ones we had 2 particularly stood they are Paris-Brest & Lemon Cloud. Can't wait to go again next time I'm in Leicester.

Paid £15 for what was supposed to be a Moroccan breakfast nothing about it was Moroccan. The chicken tasted old, the eggs were runny and gross, and the bread was hard and stale. Total waste of money.

The bakery consistently goes above and beyond to create visually stunning and tasty cakes for various events, leaving a lasting impression on guests. The exceptional service provided by Bakery Delights Leicester is matched by their reasonable prices, making it an ideal choice for those seeking high-quality cakes.
Jamila at Bakery Delights made two stunning cakes for my daughter’s 3rd birthday, and they were absolutely incredible! One was a mermaid-themed cake and the other a Minion cake, and both were decorated to perfection. The attention to detail was amazing – they looked so beautiful we almost didn’t want to cut into them! Not only did they look fantastic, but the taste was just as impressive. The cakes were moist, flavorful, and we had so many compliments on them. My daughter loved them too! Jamila was also a pleasure to work with – so friendly, professional, and accommodating throughout the process. Thank you, Jamila, for creating such wonderful cakes that made my daughter’s birthday celebrations even more special. I’ll definitely be coming back for future occasions and highly recommend Bakery Delights to anyone looking for stunning and delicious cakes!

I have placed around 7 orders with her over the past year or 2. I cannot stress how delicious her cakes are and how intricate the detailing and decoration is. She goes above and beyond each time to deliver the best looking and best tasting cake for us so that all of our events have been memorable especially with the pretty cake photos. Guests always comment on how wonderful the cake is and who made it and then get their cakes from her too. Plus she provides exceptional service and is very reasonably priced for the level and quality of cakes she creates. Thank you always, so glad I found you!

Magnificent birthday cake. Jamila was lovely to deal with, she made the whole process easy. I left it to her to surprise me with the decoration, I was blown away, what’s more that was easily the best chocolate cake I’ve ever had The Swiss meringue icing was moreish and the chocolate ganache was delicious. She did an amazing job at making the cake and it was done with last minute notice as well!! Not only did it look great but it also tasted really nice - we had a vanilla cake with Oreo filling. She also advised us to go with the smaller cake option due to how many people I needed it for and it worked out well and we still had cake left over! She also messaged me after asking how the cake was which indicates how much she cares about her customers! I would highly recommend her cakes😊

I walked in to Cocco & Delilah today and the atmosphere was incredible, the decorations were so beautiful tailored for Christmas and I felt like I walked into a winter wonderland! The owner was so friendly and welcoming. I had a lovely red velvet hot chocolate which was so rich and delicious and a giant strawberry frosted fancy! I would 100% recommend this place, the decor was so cute and pretty, and it was a perfect stop after a day of shopping!

A stunning eatery tucked away in St Martins Square, almost mistaking the place for an upmarket boutique - upon second glance I went in to grab a bite and I'm so glad I did! Cocco & Delilah is all about decadence with every detail inside carefully construct to make the consumer feel fabulous! The menu, a book of delights, showcases a plethora of fancy cakes, speciality teas/coffees/hot chocolates, champagne afternoon teas and more. I ordered a slab of chocolate & orange cake with a cherry hot chocolate (talk about richness overload - why did I do it!) It was gorgeous, but I couldn't finish it. The owner who served me was very friendly, we had a nice chat and I'll definitely be going back - with friends in tow! If you're looking for a place to have a nice fancy afternoon tea, a celebration or even an instagram moment - this is the place to be.

"I had an amazing time today celebrating my birthday early! We had an amazing afternoon tea, and the drinks were fantastic. The place was beautiful, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and I would rate it a 10 out of 10. I would definitely come again and recommend it to others too."
Lottie D — Google review
Would give it one star as that's the least I can give. Food was bought from a supermarket and there was no effort to even try and pass it off as their own fresh food. The staff are absolutely clueless. Standard reply to any question is, 'I'm not sure as I'm new here' or 'I don't know.' They bought two pots over, I asked which was one tea and which was coffee. The staff member looked in one and said that's the tea even though the other pot had the tea bags in. I thought I was genuinely being pranked as the level of understanding from the staff was incredibly low. Clearly not had any basic training. We took one extra two year old and they were struggling to find us seating in an empty restuarant and I mean absolutely empty on a Saturday at 12 30 in the afternoon. When we left there was literally one other table that walked in. The food was something else. Hardly no filling, not much food between two people for nearly £70. Clotted cream and jam got served in their tubs straight from the supermarket. I just can't believe that a place in a great location and the immense potential it has is being let down by this management. Only good things I can say is the decor was nice and they go to great lengths to make good insta viewing. Would not recommend going here and I will definately not be returning. I genuinely hope for the management that they see this and make some drastic changes as they have a gem in a great location that has so much potential under the right direction.

Gorgeous decor, top-notch customer service, delicious food. This business is clearly a home-grown passion project. The atmosphere was delightful - very beautiful and fairytale-like - but the staff still made it feel very cosy and welcoming. The drinks we ordered (an iced tea and a milkshake) were tastier than we'd anticipated, and came in lovely shaped glasses that matched the rest of the quirky decor. We both ordered the pancakes and received four lovely fluffy cakes generously topped with our respectively chosen condiments - very good portions sizes. The cutlery and crockery matched, which I thought was very lovely. All in all, a delightful experience and very good value for money.

Enjoyed a really delicious afternoon tea here recently. Good selection of items, really tasty and well presented. Great drinks menu too and the location is perfect. All three in my group agreed we’d be back. Staff were very attentive and helpful and made the afternoon even more perfect.

A big let down today. Decor is stunning, but very overpriced for average food. Asked twice for a jug of water for the table and was ignored. Water was available with plastic disposable cups, but difficult to get to due to layout and with this exceptionally hot weather I dont think it was too much to ask. I was with a big group booking and the staff sent a customer around with the mocktail/cocktail menu. Furniture is also not designed for groups as had to sit in twos. In short, just go somewhere else!

And oh my they are baked to perfection so fluffy gorgeous flavour and perfect consistency. Can not wait to go back. ☺️
