Ko-Ox Han Nah, which means "let's go eat" in Mayan, is a popular dining spot in San Ignacio Town. Despite its unassuming exterior, the restaurant offers a diverse menu featuring a mix of Indian and Belizean cuisine. The simple yet cozy ambiance adds to the charm of this establishment. Guests can enjoy dishes such as Indian curry and Belizean rice and beans all under one roof.
I stayed a few days in San Ignacio and this was by far my favorite restaurant in the area. We liked it so much, we came back for a second dinner and breakfast too. I tried the NY Strip steak first. It was cooked nicely and was delicious. I tried the pork shank next. It was absolutely amazing, fall of the bone with a wonderful taste. The lamb curry was probably my favorite and I’m not a fan of curry. Breakfast was awesome, the eggs were done to perfection, bacon was spectacular and the omelette was amazing. The servers were outstanding and very attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This was a decent place to eat. We ended up here honestly because we were exploring the city on a Sunday. and and a lot was open. We ended up getting their lamb dishes that came recommended. One was curry and one was a Korean style beef dish. The food didn’t blow us away. It was kind of the first taste. We got of local Belize cuisine. Not the best food but we had full bellies.
Kenzie W — Google review
After getting multiple recommendations, we decided to give it a try. It did not disappoint. Great atmosphere, very friendly staff, and really good authentic cuisine. I recommend the vegetable soup and the fish. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to try the cow foot soup. We had dinner there two days in a row, and it's a 2 minute walk from Martha's guest house.
SHAZAM L — Google review
Don’t understand the hype. Didn’t find the food too nice. We ordered a chicken curry and the chicken had a funny taste we didn’t eat it. We gave it a second chance and had the pork tacos. They were nice but super mega oily and so was the plantain portion. The service is good just wish they didn’t take our plates right after we finished eating it’s of bad taste. The food also takes a while, but I think it’s a thing in Belize. Don’t go if you’re on a rush
Leonardo R — Google review
Food was great, quesadilla was huge and delicious. I had also the whole fish and my husband the chicken curry. Everything was delicious. My husband had strawberry ice cream for dessert and I had the flan. Everything was perfect. The picture shows half of the quesadilla.
Katia S — Google review
Stop in for lunch after Xunantunich and we were not disappointed. The flies were tough but we were tougher My wife had a delicious pineapple rum drink. For lunch I had an enormous quesadilla that was packed with shrimp and the capers gave it a different but enjoyable twist. My wife had beef and dirty rice. Local favorite but done very well here. Pineapple yogurt shake was amazing. I had gotten it to go but it was so good I finished it right there. Plenty of fun trinket items and art to look at and buy as well if looking for souvenirs. Highly recommend. Dinner you may want to make a reservation.
John N — Google review
Ate here twice in 2 days. Great value, taste, and customer service. I made customized requests on both occasions and they were all accommodated without any issues. Among the very best in San Ignacio!
Jason Y — Google review
The best meal of our Central America trip so far! The menu is expansive and varied so there's really something for everyone. Several vegetarian options, I went for the spicy eggplant dish which was absolutely delicious and the perfect level of spice. It came with a side of steamed veggies which tasted so good and the rice was perfect for soaking up all the delicious sauce. Such lovely service too and reasonably priced for the size and quality. Would visit again if we were staying longer!

Erva’s Restaurant is a highly regarded dining spot in San Ignacio, known for its authentic Belizean cuisine and warm, rustic ambiance. Situated just 0.1 miles from The West House Boutique Hotel, this cozy restaurant offers traditional dishes like Stewed Chicken with Rice and Beans and Fry Jacks that capture the essence of Belizean home-cooking.
Came with a large group and had a great meal. The ceviche was delicious, clean crisp and flavorful. You definitely need to ask for more chips to go with it as it’s a hearty portion. The fried Chaya was also delicious, I chose it because I had never tried it before, great earthy taste and accompanied by onions and peppers. I had the BBQ pork rib, the only negative was that I felt that it was overly spiced and this took away from the taste of the BBQ. I would probably not have it again and go for the whole fried fish (Snapper) that was amazing. Service and hospitality and homemade hot sauce were exceptional. Definitely recommend if you’re in San Ignacio!
Alexander F — Google review
I ordered the pork and rice and beans. It was very dry. The rice and beans were fine. The chicken cordon bleu was tasty, but a small portion for the price. As someone said, it does take a long time for the meal, but it is cooked fresh. Service was okay- took a star off for taking a while with the drinks and forgetting my order.
Lisa — Google review
Not impressed with this restaurant. We got curry. The service was really really really slow and you can tell people weren’t enjoying themselves. Which I’m all good with taking their time especially how they make things to order but this was beyond that. The food was a really dry as well. There wasn’t one thing I really love to be honest.
Kenzie W — Google review
It was a pretty good restaurant I had the fried fish and rice and beans. I do feel like the fish was a bit small for the price but it was cooked very well. The rice and beans was a bit salty for my personal liking but still tasted very well. The inside of the restraint was very small but nice and can get very crowded. So expect your service to be a lot slower. The drink I had was great which was the toasted almond ! I highly recommend. Overall I would come back!
Eric G — Google review
Food - 10/10 Vegan/vegetarian friendly We had the rice and stew beans with chaya, and the veggie coconut curry—easily some of the best food I’ve ever had. Every bite was super flavorful. My wife usually doesn’t say much while eating, but with this meal, she was complimenting it after every bite. We loved it so much, we went back a second time. If they were open on Sunday, we definitely would’ve gone again. The vibe is relaxed, the ambiance is chill, and the staff is really attentive. Absolutely loved the place—already missing the food!
Nikhil A — Google review
Last day in San Ignacio, had an amazing meal here. You can tell the food is made fresh and prepared with care. More variety than most restaurants in Belize, so if you have a picky eater, this is the place for you. Will definitely be back the next visit.
Cameron P — Google review
I was actually turned away by the restaurant when I stepped in. They asked if I had a reservation and I said no. I was told the restaurant was full and there was no place for me, but I told them I wanted to try the food here and it was my last night in San Ignacio. They told me even if I wait I might have to wait for 2 hours for food to be served because there were like 2 tables of more than 10 pax. I told them I am willing to wait, and I quickly took order while the kitchen was preparing food for the first big table, and the second table would be arriving in 10 minutes. It went well cause they managed to get me a table in a corner and the food only took 30 minutes to arrive. Probably I ordered the easier dish to prepare. The butter and garlic shrimp was flavourful and I loved the sauce so much it helped me to finish all the rice. I loved the coconut rice as well it was so fragrant and delicious. I have to say they also serve one of the better shakes I have tried in Belize. Recommended and probably good to make reservations in advance as well.
Matthew L — Google review
We were in San Ignacio walking in town and looking for a restaurant with AC. It was very hot and humid. We found this restaurant in Google Maps with very good reviews. It wasn’t busy. The bartender welcomed us. The restaurant was nicely decorated and had warm ambiance. The kitchen is visible and it was interesting to watch the cooks. I think that our server was not very experienced. We enjoyed our lunch. The owner introduced himself and mentioned that Erva was his mother and now retired.

Breakfast restaurant
Pop's Restaurant, located in downtown San Ignacio, Belize, is a beloved establishment known for its exceptional breakfast offerings. The restaurant has been serving up classic American breakfast dishes alongside traditional Belizean favorites for decades. Visitors can enjoy a hearty 'Belizean Breakfast' featuring beans, cheese, ham or bacon, eggs, and avocado served with handmade flour tortillas or Belizean fry jacks. On weekends, the restaurant buzzes with local families who have made it a tradition to dine there.
The orange juice was good. They do add water to it so it’s not 100% freshly squeezed. The flour tortillas with butter were the best! Kids like the waffles. Overall good and good prices. It’s a small place. They do take cards for those traveling.
Marlene E — Google review
The food was Amazing. Will definitely go back again when I visit Belize. The only thing was that I wanted some more fresh pepper sauce but they ran out. Other than that I enjoyed the food.
Prince R — Google review
We arrived in town early and couldn’t check in yet, so we stopped at this café on recommendation. The breakfast was delicious and exactly what we needed after an early start. Coffee refills were free, and everything was served with a smile. The place is very clean, well managed, and the staff are friendly and attentive. Another plus—no extra charge for paying by card. Highly recommended.
Alain M — Google review
Had an amazing full English breakfast, I asked as a special request, the manager has family in the UK. I had 3 bacon, 3 sausage, 2 eggs, chips and heinz baked beans. I believe it's the only resturant/ cafe that does a proper uk style fry up. It's not on the menu but if you ask they'll sort it out for you!
C B — Google review
Pops food was good we got Fry Jacks with out food, light fluffy fried bread pillows. Could have had a little more beans, and longaniza
Abe M — Google review
Food was not special, but okay. Service was good. However, i believe the lady charged us double price. This was our first stop in belize and we weren’t sure if the menu was in belizean dollars or USD. So we paid in USD (exact amount) and she didn’t give back anything. Afterwards, we see all menus everywhere being in BZD… if it was in USD, then the food is overpriced, if it wasn’t, we got scammed.
Harrie V — Google review
This is the first place I thought of when I have an early pickup for a tour. Pop's open at 6am so its good to have a proper breakfast before going for a tour. I arrived at 6 but they weren't ready, the staff was still cleaning and moving some stuff while she passed me the menu. I heard about something interesting which I wanted to try, the Chaya. Its the Mexican Spinach which can be added into the omelette and heard it has a lot of health benefits. Took a while for breakfast to arrive but it smelled so good I started gorging. The taste of the chaya and the eggs tasted good and I added it inside the fry jacks. Totally loved the combination of that. The fry jacks were very well fried and hot. Managed to have some time still before the tour pickup. Met my expectations of a good and proper breakfast and reasonable price.

Wow can't believe I could get a decent English Breakast in belize. Delicious! Well done girls! 2 sausage, 2 bacon, 2 eggs, heinz baked beans, chips and toast LOVELY

Restaurant was full with few option where to sit. We wanted to go upstairs but we couldn't since it was full was very disappointed since a friend had suggested to dine in the second floor. The place closed early like 9 or 10 We felt like we where being chased. The food was great though. Over all it was good.

Amazing food! We went for both lunch and dinner and the food never disappointed. If you’re on a budget I recommend both chicken and fish goujon sandwiches! They both come with salad or fries and are huge portions! The salads are to die for!

Awesome delicious dinner: fresh ingredients, beautiful presentations. However, coconut water was flat. Soursop was refreshingly good. Great service by Abner, Alex, Rose and another lady.
Culturetravel — Google review
Great place! Food was made fresh. A bit pricey for the area, but worth it if you can splurge a little. A frog or toad jumped out of the planters onto the floor a couple times, that was cool :) You'll want to get a reservation during peak tourist season.
Luis D — Google review
What a cultured oasis in San Ignacio. Don't get me wrong, street tacos are amazing but if you want to have a nice dinner with your special person on vacation in San Ignacio, this is a great choice. Take a cab because driving after these drinks is a poor idea. And definitely leave room for their cheesecake even if you normally don't...do it

Nice place in town. Ran by the same people who own the lodge at chaa creek. Good local atmosphere. The cheesecake is a must try!

Cenaida's Belizean Food is a popular eatery located in downtown San Ignacio, offering delicious and authentic cuisine. The restaurant is known for its diverse menu featuring traditional dishes such as stewed chicken, rice and beans, and the unique black soup. While the day-to-day menu offers great food, the real highlight is the daily specials which include mouthwatering options like parmesan chicken and smokey grilled pork chops.
Best food I’ve had in my travels, definitely. I had a fresh fish cooked with coconut milk and French fries and I had such a good time. Nice waiter too!!!
Louise L — Google review
A local guide recommended this local restaurant and so I had to try it. I was pretty much the only tourist in here with other locals eating so I knew that was a good sign. The food was great! I got the coconut chicken with coconut rice and salad. Very tasty and good size portion for $15dzd. The restaurant has plenty of seating. Friendly and attentive staff! Definitely try this place out if you’re in the area
Liezl S — Google review
Fantastic food that is both approachable (boneless grilled chicken breast) and unique (a mild coconut curry sauce). I had the coconut chicken. I was afraid it might be fried chicken with coconut batter but no. It was the dish described above. You’ll be surprised how great and inexpensive this place is. Much better than the restaurants on the walking street in my opinion.
Tom — Google review
They have a back patio and indoor dining. The service was fast and friendly. We started with shrimp ceviche which was good but felt like the shrimp was precooked. Chips were good. The stewed chicken was amazing and affordable. The coconut shrimp entree was shrimp in a coconut cream sauce. I enjoyed the rice and beans others preferred just their coconut rice. Had a rum and coke which was standard.
E L — Google review
Incredible! Best stew chicken ive had in belize. Great local spot, so affordable and delicious. Friendly, kind staff (Michael was our favorite- so welcoming and made us feel like family!).
Georgia G — Google review
Awsome Belizean food and great service. Had the day special, which was Tamarindo Chicken, with garden salat, coconut rice, and stewed beans. Also, I got a small spicy salsa that matched perfectly with the sweet Tamarindo sauce. Total with one beer. 17.5 BZD They accept card.
Åsmund G — Google review
Great local restaurant with reasonable prices and friendly owners. Coconut chicken and black soup were delicious. Maybe I wouldn't recommend the beef so much. For card payments under B$25 there's a 3.5% charge.
Petr V — Google review
Was told they are known for their coconut sauce, the information was correct. Intense flavor but not heavy or watery, we had it with chicken and fish. One son got grilled chicken with fries, chicken was tender and flavorful. Prices are very reasonable, service quick and very friendly.

Best.Cuisine.In San Ignacio! 💥 I stand by that headline. Pros: Atmosphere feels like a true upscale bistro without being pretentious. Very robust wine selection - but we enjoyed the Sangria, which is offered as either white or red wine base. THE FOOD!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had the baby back ribs, chicken paupiette, and the chocolate roulade for desert. The meat on the ribs was fall-off-the-bone, cooked to perfection with a superb sweet+smokey housemade bbq sauce. The chicken paupiette was moist, tender and flavorful. Desert: The chocolate roulade is a dark chocolate & ice cream lovers perfection. The cake was spongey and decadent, without being dry or too cold and was filled with a light mocha ice cream. - If you don't like it, I'll pay for shipping to eat it 😀. Presentation: all of the dishes are plated and served with an eye for detail you might find in a Michelin star restaurant. Price: Worth. Every. Penny Cons: - I can't eat here every week..

If you’re looking for the best restaurant in the Western Highlands of Belize then this is your spot. Misael the waiter at his sister Melissa’s place will treat you to a wonderful dining experience. It could work as a romantic dinner spot for two or as a family. My wife and I ate there with our 3 children and it was amazingly delicious. My wife is vegetarian and had the carrot ginger soup as a starter and I he vegetarian risotto and loved them both. I had a salad and the short ribs risotto and they were both fantastic. I had a spicy margarita which was wonderful. They have a great selection of drinks The kids loved there meals too. The dining room is small and tight but worth the wait. Outside there is an open air bar where you can dine and drink. The decor is quaint and relaxing. They have tasty desserts but we went for ice cream next door.
Richard B — Google review
This place has to be a secret gem in San Ignacio! I would have never expected this place to be one of the best places I have dined in San Ignacio. Its just a block behind Burns Avenue and from outside it might not seem appealing because I thought it was more of a bar than a restaurant. I stepped into the restaurant and it was totally empty so I wondered if the food could be any good. This friendly male waiter came up to me and presented the menu. The first thing he did was to recommend me the ribs which he told me was the signature. I didn't bother to read the menu and I took his advice. I wanted to look at the menu for desserts but I was telling myself I would only decide after the main course if it wasn't filling enough. I was quite impressed to see how well the dish was presented and I started to have high expectations of the dish. I can only say the dish did not disappoint and I really loved it! It was so tender and juicy, and it could just melt in the mouth. I was also impressed that the portion of the dish was pretty big. I was really full after the main course. The staff recommended me a chocolate dessert but I totally had no space for it. It was a good meal and I didn't find the food expensive. I recommended this place to some people during my day tour the next day, and they tried the ribs and said they loved it too. Highly recommended!

This spot was amazing start to finish, the food was full of flavor and cooked just right, everything tasted fresh and hit the spot. The staff were super friendly and on point, they made the whole experience easy and comfortable. The vibe was chill but still stylish and overall this was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time, definitely recommend it !!!

The staff was hesitant to accept us (3 Belizeans) as there were a lot of tourists, but there was a table for 8 available! If you decide to come, I recommend coming early or making a reservation. They took long to serve the food and bring the bill. I had the grilled lobster; it was okay but a bit tough. I’m not sure if I’d return.
Aliyah — Google review
Coconut shrimp was lovely and they honoured my request to change from mash to chips! The curry was also nice, slightly watery but good flavour and good amounts of meat. We sat inside and were the only people in there so the atmosphere wasn’t amazing.
Izzy W — Google review
I heard a lot of mixed reviews about this place and some negative feedback from the locals too. I had the chicken curry, which was very good, I cleaned my plate. My partner had the coconut shrimp, and he did not enjoy his. I would say this place is probably a hit or miss, depending on what you order. If it was just my own food that I was reviewing, I would have given them four stars.

I wasn’t going to review dinner, but I bet my friend this pizza was warmed up from frozen. It was perfectly round, not piping hot, and just wasn’t great. I just don’t prefer to pay restaurant prices for frozen food. It’s s lovely atmosphere and a nice server.

Definitely need to brush up on their customer service , I had went to the place hungrily to order some salbutes , but I did not expect an attitude from the girl who takes your order. I have worked in the food business for a while, and if you guys plan in growing I recommend get them right people.

Tandoor Indian Restaurant and Bar is a gem for those seeking excellent food and great service. The restaurant offers a wide variety of cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks, making it a good place to unwind. Visitors can enjoy delicious vegetarian options like chana masala, providing a welcome change from the typical local cuisine. The attentive staff ensures that guests have a fantastic dining experience.
Great Indian food, many vegetarian options, amongst those several vegan options as well. Not all staff members know what vegan means though but they'll find someone in the kitchen who does to come explain the vegan options. Had dinner here two nights in a row because it was so tasty. As of July 2019, they also accept credit cards.

Hung out here for an entire night. When leaving, they tried to rip us off by overcharging 10 beers. What they didn't realize was that I was keeping track on my phone. We managed to bring it down a bit, but still overpaid. Stay away from these thieves!!
Spawky — Google review
Don't go there. There was a lot of locals hanging out but not eating, only smoking, and there were a couple of extra drunk guys. My husband ordered chicken curry and the chicken on the curry had bones, nerves, and cartilage. It was disgusting. The rice and beans was dried and not really warm. I ordered the whole fish and it was small. Fish was ok. The atmosphere was awful. Waitress was nice but didn't know to much about the menu.
Katia S — Google review
We had a fine time. We were looking to watch an NBA playoff game. Which they let us change the channel to. Service was solid. We just split nachos and had a couple drinks they were okay nothing remarkable.
Connor L — Google review
They have dropped most of their Indian dishes. It is very noisy . Agree with the comment that the waitress did not seem to know what Indian food was. But she was attentive.
Douglas T — Google review
This is not an Indian food restaurant. Their garlic naan was just a tortilla with garlic on it. And the menu with Indian food on it was from Eva’s steakhouse. The prices were very high for what was served. The waiter didn’t speak a lot of English and the music was WAY too loud. The curry was ok but didn’t come with enough rice.
Adam P — Google review
Interesting place. Took 45 minutes for two poppadoms to come out (only 1 other customer here!) The food was tasty, but overall service was really slow and I'm sure not the waitress knew what Indian food was. We had to point at the menu and when we asked where the poppadoms were, we were told they weren't ready (something that takes 20 seconds). Overall, enjoyed the food, but the atmosphere wasn't great and the service was very slow.
James P — Google review
Excellent food and great service. I'd been dying for good vegetarian food, so this was a little gem for me. After days and days of rice & beans, and lots of chips, chana masala was a welcome change. I know, it's basically rice and beans, but it was so good! Plus rum punch for $2.50 BZD. Everyone else seemed to be enjoying there meals as well.

Bakery
The New French Bakery is a must-visit spot in the new town square of Cayo District. It's conveniently located near the Cayo Welcome Center, making it an ideal starting point for your exploration. The bakery offers a variety of freshly baked buns, breads, and pastries to kickstart your day. With excellent customer service and a complimentary cup of coffee with every purchase, it's a delightful experience. Locals frequent this bakery for its great food at affordable prices.
Really adorable pastries! I got the ham and cheese croissant and a pineapple coconut strudel for $5bzd/ $2.50usd! Both were really good and so cheap! I wish I found this place sooner as it is my last day here, but this place is great if you want to carry a few snacks/pastries for the road, or if you’re up for a early breakfast before a tour, or just a quick snack in the evening.
Liezl S — Google review
I visited this bakery because it opens quite early, and I wanted to get some breakfast to go before the start of the day tour. I could already smell the bread before even walking into the bakery, when I walked in I could see some bread arranged and displayed nicely in the glass display shelf. Just as I was deciding what to have a lady walked out from the back and assisted me. She asked me to try the Cinnamon Rolls which is the signature and the Pain au Chocolate. I bought them as I thought two would be sufficient with a drink. It felt warm just as I was walking out but by the time I reached the area waiting for the tour vehicle the bread wasn't hot anymore. Would have been better if I have eaten them while they were still hot. Nevertheless the bread tasted good. I would recommend visiting this place to pick up some fresh bakes.
Matthew L — Google review
Ordered the guava cream cheese pie - so delicious. Also got the cold coffee and plantain chips - both were good. The cold coffee is better than their hot coffee.

Delicious pastries. Great prices. My google searches led me here for a full breakfast. It wasn't that but I was pleasantly surprised with the snacks we had.

I’m so disappointed to see other reviewers give this place less than five stars. Read the room people you’re in a small town in the middle of a central American rainforest . The service was amazing. The customers were extraordinarily friendly. The pastries were delicious. I couldn’t have asked for anything more. They were open early and I had the opportunity to come there each morning and enjoy pastry and coffee with locals and taking the sites. It really doesn’t get any better when you’re traveling.
Paul B — Google review
Been a few times in 2024 - small bakery/deli, very friendly and accommodating service, neat and tidy despite unassuming exterior, affordable to mid-range (for Cayo) prices - only local source of sourdough I found (not the best, but sourdough-like enough for Cayo) - croissants and bread loaves were pretty varied and good :)
Angel N — Google review
Delicious food. Delicious coffee. Open EARLY (thank you). Nice place to hang out near San Ignacio sign and paintings, lots of local activity and close to where I’ll end up for my pre-return home covid test. The pastries look delicious.

Salvadoran restaurant
Restaurante Tipico Salvadoreňo is a restaurant located in Santa Elena, not in downtown San Ignacio, but it's definitely worth the trip. It's situated just a short distance from Tolacca Smokehouse, so you can consider visiting both places simultaneously. This restaurant has received high ratings overall. After multiple visits, customers have tried and enjoyed everything on the menu. The service provided by the staff is exceptional.
How this isn't 5 stars across the board... By the time our trip was over, and the few times we went, we ended up eating everything from the menu. Service was exceptional. Small place, intimate, bustling with walk up orders, call in orders, and sit down dining. Food was on point... and the best part, the cost was ultra affordable. We fed a family of 4 (with 2 teenage boys - 17 and 16 who are competitive swimmers) on less than $12 each visit.

Yum!!! Order one of everything…! All made by hand and fresh at the time of order. The papusas are the most obvious, yet definitely get the salbutes and the fried tacos as well. If you can find the place under all of the plants it is surrounded by, then you will surely enjoy. Jamaica juice isn’t on the menu, yet often still available.
Jennifer D — Google review
The pupsas are delicious and the prices are very reasonable. Be sure to try the horchata too, its next level
Dan J — Google review
Restaurante Tipico Salvadoreňos may seem like just another street-side conventional food joint. But upon entering and experiencing their traditional cuisines, one will certainly fall in love. According to the restaurant's proprietor, the business has been around for 12 years, which to my guess keeps enhancing and growing every year. The food is totally Salvadorian founded, with each dish carrying its own unique flavor and taste. A menu serving a verity of fast foods such as; Empanada, Salbute, Fry Tacos, Pupusa etc. With that comes fresh natural tropical juices, carbonated soda drinks, or if you are having a helluva day COFFEE is on the go. The atmosphere is quite warm and tight (due to limited space),with constant traffic noise coming from the nearby George Price Highway. Nevertheless, all that can be surpassed because the treatment of the workers is exceedingly outstanding. The service is worth staying for, and of course don't get me started on the delicious food. Overall, I recommend Restaurante Tipico Salvadoreňos a place of must dine when travelling through the Cayo District. It's a cross-section where local people and local food meet each other.

Running W Restaurant, located at the San Ignacio Resort Hotel, has recently introduced a vibrant new menu for the summer season. While maintaining its renowned steaks and meats, the restaurant now offers a variety of lighter dishes incorporating fresh herbs, spices, and seasonal fruits. This top dining spot in San Ignacio showcases an array of classic Belizean favorites alongside international cuisine.

If you stay at the Ignacio resort hotel you’re pretty much going to have to eat here. The scenery is spectacular see pic. The staff is very helpful and friendly. But the food is $$$ and average at best. See pics. I ordered biscuits and gravy with eggs sunny side up and it was hard to find the gravy. My wife ordered the omelette and it was pretty good - but the toast was not toasted, just thick slices of wheat bread. If you decide not to eat here you’ll need to walk or ride down the steep hill into town, OK for other meals but not breakfast.
Doug B — Google review
The restaurant at the San Ignacio Resort is fantastic. The atmosphere is great. In the morning we could see many birds and monkeys from the beautiful view. The outside dining is very comfortable with ceiling fans running to keep you cool. The vegetarian options are yummy. For dinner we had the stir fry with black bean sauce and tofu. The tofu is the fried puffed kind which is great. For breakfast we had huevos rancheros, really delicious. The coffee was really good too. We stayed at the resort for 3 nights and had an early morning excursion to the ATM caves and asked our server what we could order to eat and leave within 30 minutes, he let us know we could get the granola parfait which was good, lots of small diced tropical fruit and toasted coconut. I'm glad we had that to fuel our journey. The service was always top notch, very attentive.

Sannys Grill is a hidden gem located on a quiet back street, offering top-quality food and excellent service. The grilled fish and Cilantro Fish Fillet are particularly delicious, and the atmosphere is charming with a patio filled with plants. The restaurant also serves delicious jerk chicken and pina coladas, making it a great local find with reasonable prices. It's highly recommended for those looking for authentic home cooking in San Ignacio.
This is truly a hidden gem! The vibe of the restaurant was what caught my eye first, the lights, the plants and the balcony.. wow! The menu is pretty diverse with options and the meals we had were incredibly seasoned and tender, the steak and the conch, and the desserts were the perfect end. This is by far the best meal we had in Belize, and the employees were very genuine and friendly. 10/10!

Wonderful family run restaurant with delicious food! We ordered the fish and chips with curry sauce which was surprisingly amazing. Also had the honey thyme T-bone steak and that was incredible! The potatoes were expertly seasoned. The veggies were cooked to perfection, a little crunch and not soggy. We enjoyed the sundae with raisins for dessert. Our waitress was absolutely darling and provided wonderful service.
Andrea G — Google review
I don't know if it's the short hours or its location decidedly outside of the city center, but when I ate here tonight, I was the only customer. And that's too bad because this was the best meal I've had in Belize so far. The jerk chicken was perfect, the French fries crispy and the bananas foster was killer. It IS in the middle of a neighborhood. There's only on street parking and you'll be cozying up next vehicles that don't look like they've run in a long time. I was serenaded by the neighborhood dogs while I waited for dinner, but I also got to watch the sun go down from the west facing deck. So step away from the tourist spots, because Sannys is worth it.

The shrimp ceviche was amazing! It tasted very fresh and perfect blend of all the ingredients. The watermelon juice tasted was too sweet I think they added sugar to it. My friend order the fettuccine pasta and it was made with coconut and tasted very off. It took awhile for the food to arrive (we were the only ones there) and in the mean time the mosquitos were destroying my legs. I based this review on the food. The view was nice.

I was skeptical of the reviews claiming the steaks were so good, but I am so glad we went. Our steaks and sides were absolutely perfect. This is the best steak I've had since leaving Texas a few years ago. The shrimp fettuccine alfredo was also delicious. My guess is you can't go wrong with any selection here. The restaurant was very clean and the waitstaff very nice and attentive.

We came here because our party was looking for food at a neighboring place that was not open. While I didn't eat due to Celiac, the others got chicken and fried rice. Nestled in the heart of San Ignacio, The Shack Cafe, Restaurant & Bar is a must-visit for anyone seeking a delightful dining experience. Renowned for its outstanding breakfast selections, this charming spot boasts a cozy beach-inspired ambiance that instantly puts you at ease. With an extensive menu that caters to all tastes—including plenty of vegetarian options—there's something for everyone here.
I had passed this spot several times earlier this year but it didn't attracted me to go in because the menu outside usually has one food written on it and I thought their menu was very limited. Anyhow, I visited this spot last week and inside was very neatly decorated. I had almost regret not booking this place for my engagement party instead. They had a very large menu ranging with tons of options even for vegetarians! I love the variety (you definitely will find something you want to eat!) and the prices are also very reasonable and affordable. The service was also excellent and staff was friendly. I ordered a small order -corn platter- as I was not too hungry and it tasted excellent. Loved the panades so much. Will definitely come back here again and recommend this place as a must visit spot if you're around San Ignacio.

I am so happy I went with his recommendations ☺ My best friend also had Focaccia Shrimp sandwich. Everything was nicely presented, as well it taste as good as it look. I give this location a 10 out 10 I not only for the ambience but also the service and food. If you're reading this go ahead and stop by for either some good coffee, smoothies and some delicious meals 😌

The service at this place ruined our day. We ordered a side salad ($8) to go with our meal expecting it to be sharable at that price. We were served about 5 or 6 bites of browning iceberg shredded lettuce with 2 slices of unripe tomato, 2 or 3 paper-thin slices of cucumber, some tiny pieces of green pepper and no dressing of any kind. When we questioned why this terrible (worst we have ever seen) side salad cost $8, we were told that the kitchen decides and all is final. We asked them to take it back and that we didn't want it (no one would want to eat this thing). We were told that the kitchen said that once plates leaves the kitchen it is final. We insisted we didn't want it but were forced to pay for it. We didn't eat a single bite of the salad because it looked inedible. The only person on staff refused to help with the situation and instead stayed on her phone the entire visit. We can not recommend this restaurant to anyone and would highly suggest going ANYwhere else for food. Based on other reviews, the owner will respond that we should have taken up any issues while there, but we did, and they refused to help in any way. The waitress said "excuse me" and ran off to sit/look at her phone 10 ft away from us behind the counter. Terrible service. Mediocre food. Way overpriced. Should be zero stars, but that is not an option. If only the "salad" charge were removed from our bill, we may not have felt the need to leave this review. $58 for a burger, quesadilla, 2 juices, and this side "salad." As the second sign clearly states: "Do Not Enter."

We stumbled upon Rolsons after discovering that most restaurants in San Ignacio were closed due to a Monday holiday. To our pleasant surprise, we enjoyed some incredibly tasty Mexican cuisine in Belize and would definitely return intentionally when we're nearby again. Despite not knowing anything about the restaurant or their menu beforehand, they efficiently accommodated our large group and provided fantastic food and service. We savored the delicious Belizean Stewed Chicken, which was of excellent quality.
We stayed in Belize for 3 weeks and we went to Rolson's at least four times each week. The food was tasty and they were consistent and reliable.I enjoyed the chicken fajitas but our favorite was the Carne Asade tacos (not on the menu). The drinks were nice and strong too. I enjoyed the rum runner the most. The place was always very clean and as with most places in San Ignacio, the wifi was very strong. I'll definitely miss the tacos and the kind employees.

Yoli's Pizza is a popular spot in San Ignacio, Belize, known for its delicious pizza. The pizzas are made with imported cheeses and cured meats, making them a bit pricey but worth it. Despite being a small food stall with picnic tables in the town center, Yoli's offers great-tasting pizza with generous toppings. Customers have praised the friendly and attentive staff as well as the variety of flavors available, such as Mediterranean and pepperoni.
Took a quick trip to San Ignacio on a Friday night and was feeling peckish and found Yoli’s Pizza. I ordered two slices of Belizean Flame and had Tambran juice. Love the ambiance. Location is close enough to town center but far enough to take a break from it if needed. Best part: they have dairy-free ice cream! They also offer non-dairy milk if you want a milkshake. Just make sure to tell them no whip cream.

I highly recommend the nachos supreme, it is very tasty. I also really like their Spice Chai Latte, Mangonadas, Cheese Cakes and their flan!
Andria — Google review
Cheesecake is great, on my first visit I requested a French vanilla cappuccino to be told they don't provide any flavors in a disgusting manner. Then was shorted 1 cheesecake out of 4. Gave them a second chance, got a nachos and it was disgusting. Chips were not soft from the cheese, it was stale!!! Never again...

Thank you Vivian's for the great food and the excellent service! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the foods they have available. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, perfect for a romantic date night.

Best place to get a frappe in town. Got the cherry cheesecake but was a bit surprised with the lemon crust, not such a good combination. The service needs to improve a little though. The cashier wasn't pleased to see us and it wasn't even closing or opening hours.
Luigi P — Google review
Their ice cream is delish, flavorful and not to sweet. Lattes are good but hoped they had more options.

Good ambience and the renovation done since I last been is very good, a new patio that is air conditioned and tinted. Food is new and is good. Great drinks as well.

They don't miss! Everything taste's good! And the AC is underrated! Easily a classic in San Ignacio! They make all thier own icecream and you can tell by how perfect the frappes are. The Mocha Frappe is heavenly. 🤣😂

Restaurant
Cucina 1904 is a new addition to the dining scene in San Ignacio, offering a delectable array of dishes including juicy steaks, succulent pork chops, and refreshing salads. The restaurant also boasts an impressive selection of cocktails that perfectly complement any vacation experience. Families will appreciate the delightful dessert options, especially the daily crepe special.
ATTENTION ALL TRAVELERS/TOURISTS!!! SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE!! This restaurant is AMAZING! If you’re looking for LOCAL AND AUTHENTIC food for your next meal - this is the place for you! The atmosphere is an authentic setting with outside seating (covered, you will not be exposed to the sun) or open seating at picnic tables with umbrellas (slight exposure to the sun). There is music and it varies from covers of American hits or a few Spanish songs (mostly American country and pop music). The food is SO FLAVORFUL- you will NOT be disappointed. Everything has levels of flavor and, if you like spicy, they add a great level of heat to your food (not overtly spicy but enough to feel it build on your tongue and mouth - a nice zing with every bite). I had the beef nachos (no dairy), my husband had the chicken quarter (white meat) with a side of their delicious chimichurri sauce! The owner has put a great deal of history into the restaurant. His approach on Belizean dishes with a little Italian flare is brilliant! They are making more and more additions to this establishment and I can’t wait to see the finished product (seating coming soon to the upstairs of the location!!!)! This culinary experience was amazing and delicious. This establishment needs WAY MORE ATTENTION than it gets!
Marissa P — Google review
Lovely atmosphere. Despite high traffic around us, it felt secluded. The Smoked Chicken Leg Quarter ($28Bz) was excellent, 5 star, Fettuccine Alfredo ($16Bz) was flavorless (I had a toothache and had to order soft food). The hummus app was nice and was presented beautifully. The service was attentive.
A B — Google review
Chicken sandwich and fries were really good! Mojito was decent, have had better and worse. Service was very friendly, nice outside patio area. Would come back and try other cocktails.

so good we came back a second time the night after! it’s official, Cucina 1904 has the best food and drinks (and music) in San Ignacio out of Ko-Ox Han Nah (Let’s Go Eat), Crave, Guava Limb and Running W. honestly, other than the pasture raised lamb from Ko-Ox Han Nah (Let’s Go Eat), nothing else stood out. amazing cocktails & bartender (Humberto)! he used to work at the Guava Limb. definitely get the tiki colada, made with real fruit. food was delicious as well, beef is super fresh and tasty. they’ve only been open for 3 months but would highly recommend.

The drinks are strong and delicious! Loved the pineapple habanero drink! Went there 2 times already and for sure will be going again while in town. I also had the bbq chicken panini, so good! They are now only closed on Wednesdays. Great service too!

The menu showcases an enticing selection of dishes that highlight local ingredients infused with international flavors, ensuring there's something for every taste. While some found it to be on the pricier side, many raved about the incredible food and pleasant atmosphere.
We had a lovely time here on the first night of our vacation. It was a short walk with a beautiful view over the town. Our server was very attentive and helpful. I had the fish piccata. While I would have loved more sauce, the fish was cooked to perfection. My husband had the herbed filet of snapper. He said it was good. We will probably return before our vacation ends.

Great spot in San Ignacio! The setting is beautiful, perfect for sunset with a view over the city. The chicken quesadillas were generous, and I also tried a plantain specialty with mozzarella—original and delicious. Nice place to grab a drink with music in the background.

Great bar location, service, music and food for a hot day. Stopped by here on the way back (walking) from Mayan site Cahal Pech. See pictures. Very cold beer, good street tacos. Looking around all of their plates seem plentiful and delicious.

Faster service than some places! Food was awesome. Live music on a Friday evening. We had 4 adults and 4 kids and everyone loved their food. Pizza had incredible cheese!
Rebecca B — Google review
The food was good and the atmosphere was pleasant. Service was a bit slow, but friendly. We ended up sitting at a picnic table, because we didn't have a reservation, so not very comfortable, but they do have chairs at other tables. We had shrimp ceviche (they were out of conch) and it was tasty. We had the special, pesto chicken tacos, which was also good. Portions were smaller than other places we've been around the area, but overall it was a pleasant experience.

Great atmosphere & views. Food was top notch, the beer was cold and the service was very good.

Came for an early lunch (11am) before our transport to the water taxi. Service was great and very prompt. I got grilled chicken breast with grilled veggies and my husband got shrimp with grilled veggies. My meal was so delicious, very juicy chicken with nice toppings of onions and tomatoes. The grilled veggies were charred to perfection. Really great meal, thank you!

Holy ceviche. Ten stars. Got a medium shrimp and octopus ceviche and two mangoyadas between my husband and myself. Was completely full/satisfied after splitting with him. Ceviche was divine. Seriously. Yum. We ate out of the back of our car in front and it was fabulous.

Can I just say I must order from D'Vine every week! I've just been in Cayo for a month or so but this is my to-go place for ceviche in Cayo. The price is very reasonable and the amount of food is great! I love the mixed ceviche. I used to use a courier service called Vistro, but after not getting reliable service, we decided to go and pick up ourselves. We didn't know it was just 10 minutes walk from us so that's good to know it's close by. This is the only image I managed to take as we just devour the ceviche as we get them prior. Edit. You guys must also try their chamoys! They're amazing and there's no other place in cayo that makes them better than here.

Hostel
The Old House Hostel is a laid-back accommodation with dorms and private rooms, offering a vibrant porch and complimentary Wi-Fi. It's praised for its social atmosphere, convenient location near the town center, and proximity to Cahal Pech Mayan ruins. The hostel is known for its cleanliness and character, with a well-stocked kitchen and a cool artistic bar below that hosts open mic nights. Guests can enjoy live music while sipping on homemade wine or beer.
This place is absolutely fantastic! They make you feel so at home there, best experience I've had with a hostel. Aldo the proprietor is one of the most caring and kind individuals I've ever met, can't say enough good things about this place. They even have hot water for showers, this place really appreciates it's guests! Be sure to book in advance as dorm rooms often fill up quick as it's the most desirable hostel to stay at in San Ignacio. Had such a great time here thank you Old House Hostel!
Trevor N — Google review
A really charming little hostel, just a short walk up the hill from the town centre. The two owners/staff were so friendly and Queen the volunteer from Alabama was the perfect hostess! There to entertain all the guests and she even made us all delicious Pina Coladas one afternoon. The Old House itself was nice and clean, with a nice verandah out the back to chill. One thing I would say is there is no air con and for much of the time we stayed it was unbearably hot with no escape from the heat during the day. At night, thankfully, it cooled down so it was fine to sleep in, but with the windows open you do get the odd loud noise from the neighbouring road.
Lucas H — Google review
I had a fantastic stay at The Old House! The rooms and common areas were cleaned thoroughly every day, which made for a comfortable experience. I really enjoyed the live music downstairs – it added a great vibe to the place. I highly recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a memorable stay!
Travis H — Google review
Good place, near the town centre. ATM very close by. The owner is a great guy and really friendly. The hostel is strange in that the new bathrooms/showers/toilets are like a 5* hotel, but the rooms are the most basic hostel dorms. The rooms were hot overnight (stayed late July) even with a personal fan, and the ladders up to the beds aren’t super sturdy. No curtains on the bunks either. Really enjoyed my stay here but rooms could do with an upgrade!
Matthew H — Google review
We stayed several months ago and I forgot to leave a review then. Really an amazing place! The staff was super-friendly. The rooms were good. The showers were great. The vibe was really friendly. We originally planned to stay a night here and a couple of nights nearby, but this place was so great (and so preferable to the other option) that we added another night here. As a bonus, it is close to the center of town, which is great.
Steve B — Google review
Hostel was in a great location near the San Ignacio farmers market and the Green Iguana Conservation Project. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Kitchen was fully equipped and had all the basic necessities. I had a private room with shared bathrooms and it came with a fan. I just wished the room had AC as it gets very hot. Otherwise I really enjoyed my stay. I also loved the cat and dog that lived there.
Amy T — Google review
The Old House is the most welcoming and warm hostel I have ever stayed at. The rooms are clean, plenty of bathrooms, the road next to it is not very loud, they offer cheap tours and experiences, and the staff give advice as if they were family. Aldo, the owner, is always willing to help you in any matter. As for things to donate to the hostel, you can have movie nights on the terrace, as they have a computer and a projector available. There is also a bar downstairs that opens on Wednesdays and Fridays; they have live music, but don’t worry about noise, they close shop at 11pm sharp.I would definitely recommend Old House to anyone visiting San Ignacio, or even Belize, as the atmosphere there is worth experiencing. Thank you, Aldo, the front desk staff and the rest of the team for making this happen. Also, really close to the city center!
D — Google review
Lovely & helpful staff and nice bed with a comfy mattress in the private room. We booked the ATM tour with the hostel and it cost $120 (USD), private shuttle and a great tour guide who was local and had worked on many of the archeological projects so I would definitely recommend booking through the hostel. The room we booked was advertised as a private room with an en-suite but unfortunately there was no en suite…. We had a shared bathroom which was clean but times where we needed to shower and it was occupied by another guest. We also stayed on a Wednesday night and the music from downstairs bar was extremely loud, I felt like the band was in the room with me. Not ideal if you want an early night or to relax.

Loved this place so much that we went there twice (and we only stayed in San Ignacio for two days)! Staff are nice, prices are decent, and most importantly the food is absolutely delicious. The best meals we’ve eaten in a long time—amazing soup, extremely fresh handmade tortillas, and the burritos come loaded with colourful fresh vegetables. The drinks are also refreshing (we tried ginger lime and ginger cucumber). The perfect spot for a filling, balanced, and refreshing meal.

Delicious food. Quick service. El fogon is inside the San Ignacio market, right next to a pupuseria. We ordered fries, melon smoothie, tacos and the burrito. The burrito was delicious - the tortilla had a different texture, fillings were carrots, eggplant. Melon smoothie was huge.

The ambience is delightful, with a lovely back dining garden and outdoor seating. Visitors can enjoy well-prepared pork chops and shrimp dishes, along with delicious cocktails on the terrace that basks in sunlight until sunset.
Nice little restaurant in a business district. We had pork chops which were great and tasted like steak (nice and thick) with grilled veggies and vegetables. My wife had shrino in pasta primavera which was great too. They have lots of outdoor seating out back as well. Sone restrooms and cold drinks. I highly recommend for local style food.

Average restaurant. They offer happy hour drinks, that's why we have chosen to go here. The garden area is nice, but could be improve by a better clean. They insist a lot because they want you to order food when you come during happy hour. Food is overpriced. There are better option in town than this restaurant.

My 'black soup' was good. My husband got the special, which was some sort of Belize specialty of boiled pork, carrot, egg and potato with tomato sauce. The carrots and potatoes were mushy and cold inside and tasted OLD. The pork was 3/4 fat and bone. He sent it back and ordered the black soup. The patio is nice.
Lana S — Google review
Overall a terrible experience and I certainly wouldn't recommend dinning here. Other than drinking at happy hour and ordering a take out this place is not worth visiting. I can understand that taking over an hour for food is normal here but getting burned food, extra big burger had meat patties that make McDonalds look like something Gordon Ramsay made, same with fries - bland, without taste, overly oily. Just awful. If you are thinking of getting broccoli cream or potato cream you will find that it surprisingly shares the same trait as fries...it is bland, and its not really a cream since it has a viscosity of mud and has pieces the size of your spoon.
Tomáš K — Google review
Food is not great but if you've been eating out in Belize for a few days and noticed that the only vegetation you've had is beans then maybe it's worth a stop. The Chicken Curry was a black peppery, corn starch stir fry but came with lots of veggies you never see in Belize like broccoli, cauliflower and others... The ambience of this restaurant is great. Awesome back dining garden. They play top hits there too. The special mix drinks looked awesome but even with happy hour they were $12 BZD but maybe still worth it cause they looked good. Curries were a bit gross but you get veggies and were $15 BZD but were weird cause they came with roasted potatoes or mashed - your choice. The staff is very nice and friendly but like others have said super slow. So to summarize - if this restaurant was at home it would be a 1 star but in Belize it's worth a dinner after endless tortillas, beans and no vegetables.
Martin C — Google review
An appealing looking restaurant with nice music, unfortunately, that's it. I had a lot of great experiences eating out in San Ignacio but this wasn't one of them. We were told there would be a wait, but didn't imagine that 2,5 hours later we would have to (for the 5th time) remind them that we were still waiting for food. The waitress ignored us for most of the night, forcing us to go to the counter to order drinks. When she finally did get round to us, she was intolerably ignorant, not offering so much as an apology. The food - was soggy and certainly not worth the price we paid for it. Definitely not recommended.

Located in the San Ignacio Market... I enjoyed the traditional Belizean Breakfast of eggs, bacon, cheese and cream, with fry jack. Food was good and the service friendly. My wife's meal came quickly.... without explanation, mine came 30 minutes later. Mr. Greedy's has some good pizza. They also have a new location on West Street. Their meat lover's pizza is worth checking out. Great drinks there too. They also do Italian food, and steaks.
Cayo S — Google review
Greedy's is an industrial-sized pizzeria, bar and burger joint with a takeout window and sports-bar feel. Occasional DJs and party nights make it a potential go-to spot if the night is right.
Wii L — Google review
New location on West street, still very close to the town center -- in a cool old warehouse. Excellent pizza, friendly staff, good drinks (and happy hour!).

Micky's Snack Shop, a beloved street food-style shack in San Ignacio, offers a delectable variety of affordable dishes like fry jacks, burritos, and empanadas. The counter is where you place your order before finding a seat at the picnic bench outside. Pops is another excellent breakfast spot in town, while The Ice Cream Shoppe is a must-visit for dessert lovers.
Yum, cheap, fast, and friendly service. They sell tacos, salbutes, panades, burritos, fresh juices and more. This place also seems to be very popular with the locals.

If you're on the hunt for a delicious meal in Belize, look no further than Miss Deb's food truck! This gem serves up mouthwatering burgers made fresh to order, including standout options like teriyaki chicken and chicken bacon ranch. The fries are delightfully crunchy, making them the perfect sidekick to your burger. Locals rave about this spot, especially since it’s only open on Wednesdays and tends to draw quite a crowd.
Food was amazing. Well priced and quick. Special sauce on the cheddar burger was delicious - as were the supreme fries. Our vegan friend had a vegan burger and loved it. They were very accommodating for him. Highly recommend.

Love this food truck! The owners treat you like family and they are amazing chefs! Every time we go to Belize, we make sure to hit up Miss Deb's. The food is to die for.
Joanna B — Google review
I really hate leaving these kinds of reviews but I was honestly disappointed with the flavour of the chicken nuggets and the corn dog. I know they're famous for their burgers but I wasn't craving something that heavy. Next time I'll try the burgers instead because they do have excellent service. Very warm and polite.
Cassandra G — Google review
Used to get food from this food truck and the burgers were really good. Not sure what’s happened but they have gone downhill for sure. Getting a burger from this food truck is like getting a regular burger anywhere else. Nothing special about it. Definitely not gourmet. Ordered 3 bacon burgers that came without bacon. When I went back to the truck to give it back to me. Was given attitude by the cashier as if it was my fault. Not even an apology. Then watched the guy toss in the bacon and hand me the bag back as if I had done something to offend. Definitely won’t be ordering another over rated burger from this food truck.
Wayne T — Google review
Just a good burger truck at good prices. We went for the teriyaki chicken and the chicken bacon ranch with a side of fries, probably the best burger I've had in belieze so far, the fries were nice a crunchy too. Made fresh to order. Was told by the locals that she's only here on wednesday and she gets quite busy! They a certain card aswell.

Chilli dogs taste like dog food. Ordered 2 big dogs. Instead they served me 2 chilli dogs. Very disappointed I feel as thou They just opened a pack of dog grind food and pour it over a hot dog sausage and bun. Service sucks as well. Belize needs better food options so this Mediocre food business no longer take advantage
Cesar A — Google review
Credit to them for marketing themselves well and establishing a foothold in local recommendations. Nonetheless, the fact of the matter is that a regular sized and regular tasting burger, with a miniscule serving of chips, should not cost $8USD given some of the other options available elsewhere in town. It was almost comical how small the serving size was after less money got me almost double the portion sizing last night at Mom's backyard. (Perhaps my review for Mom's backyard was too harsh) All in all, the burger did taste good, but from a value for money perspective, it was a disappointing last night in San Ignacio. I will no doubt be hungry later this evening.

Recinos Bakery & Cafe offers timely and flavorful pizza, despite the lack of spices in their pies. It is considered one of the top pizza places in San Ignacio, with affordable pricing that makes buying a whole pizza more economical than individual slices. The bakery section provides fresh bread from Monday to Saturday, including whole grain, French, and garlic bread. Their baked goods are also highly regarded, with an increasingly diverse selection of treats.
Love this little place...great breads, pastries, sandwiches, and coffees...I recommend the Philly cheesesteak...everyone's friendly and they always smile
Marrion M — Google review
The friendliest staff!! So accommodating and very pleasant to interact with. We ordered a whole pepperoni pizza and pineapple juice which was good and came out in a very timely manner. The best part besides the staff, were their pastries and doughnuts. We even went back the next morning just for their doughnuts! Amazing! A++
Josh M — Google review
We got so much good food here - ham and cheese bread, melon juice, an Americano, bread pudding and lots of sweet breads. The service was wonderful and the café was a nice temperature with AC which was great considering it was scorching today. Highly recommend!!
Stacey — Google review
The pizza was available in a timely manner and flavorful, despite the lack of spices within the pie itself. Definitely one of the best pizzas available within the San Ignacio area, and would highly recommend. In terms of pricing - it was quite affordable, with the pricing per slice by whole pizza far more economic than the price per individual slice. I'll keep coming back for my pizza fix whenever i'm in the area!
Marco C — Google review
We stopped in to get some baked goods. The service was decent. However, when we got home we realized the bread had mold.
Janet L — Google review

The service was on point. Always a pleasure going to this bakery

Delicious Belizian breakfast this morning, comprised of omelettes, the best refried beans I’ve ever had (including my own!) & toast. And then there were the drinks! I inhaled a mango chomoy (frozen mango with chamoy ) while others had frozen americano coffee (strong coffee with lovely ice cream) & a mocha frappe. The service was friendly & attentive, and our family of four loved it. We’ll be back!
