Excluding desserts, everything we ordered was great! Arosticini, abruzzo special lamb stew and three meat ravioli all great. But I wouldn’t order any of the desserts we got again - tiramisu, lemon semifreddo, berry cheesecake, sponge cake. They were fine but I don’t recommend.

We totally loved having dinner in Il Calamaro! The food is super nice we had the fried calamari, fried cheese, wine and dessert. All was delicious! The service is kind and friendly, this is a family-owned restaurant which definitely offers a great atmosphere… totally recommended! :)

Went on a Monday night. We were seated without much enthusiasm from staff. We sat for 20 minutes with waiters passing us by with no acknowledgement. So we finally got up and left. Found another restaurant near by and had a great experience there.

Worst experience in Italy, 3 dishes ordered in 2 out of 3 there were hair in them. The waiter told me I am very sorry, its not my fault. Do not go there. They tried to make up with 5 euro discount. Terrible experience

Slightly disappointing as there were not enough staff to cope on a busy night. We ordered spigola (sea bass) baked in the oven with roast potatoes, and the fish arrived whole and we had to debone and clean the fish ourselves. A little later we saw that a waiter was cleaning a spigola for another table and we asked why ours was not cleaned and we were told we had to ask for this. The restaurant was busy which is a good sign. We also had spaghetti alle vongole which was ok but a little oily, and skewers of calamari and prawns which was nice.

The food was the best traditional ones and the seafood was so fresh and well cooked! Also the restaurant had an old good vibe. Just the stuff were a bit inpatient and also slow. But overall very perfect place to dine!

We turned up very late and with no reservation. Once we ordered food I was fearing a long wait but instead i was surprised by how quickly the food was being served. The waiters were polite and extra wishes (butter for the bread were also granted). The best of the experience was that after the fast food delivery the fish and seafood dishes were absolutely delishious. We will come back for more.

Our favorite restaurant in Tortoreto. Truly a fantastic place for fresh fish and a relaxed family atmosphere. Every night during the summer it's packed with locals though, so I'd definitely recommend making a reservation. For the maximum experience I'd highly recommend getting the "antipasto Il Faro", which is a multi-course (raw/cold/hot) appetizer that is more than enough for a meal. Shared with a friend or family, it's an experience in itself and won't leave you wanting. It changes based on season (and even day of the week), so it never gets old.

The Place Is really panoramic.. but you won't receive much more... The arrosticini are average... Too big in wideness, not as Juicy as they should, too tiny in amount of meat... The ones with liver are ok. Fries promise to be made from real potato, but in the end they were just absolutely deep frozen stuff... For saying "birreria" they have only three kinds of tap beer - two German and one Belgian. And the oils is absolutely avoidable... The selection of local wine is instead not bad at all. They have pinsa and focaccia that are not bad. So if you want to have local stuff don't go there. The pinsa and focaccia are really ok. All the other stuff, are McDonald's level, if not worse ( given the time you have to wait for them).

The views from the terrace were breathtaking, the staff were friendly and understanding. The food, my word the food was excellent. I'd highly recommend eating out here!

Nice place but personel is not speaking english and rarely speaking at all. Pizza with shrimps was just flooded with chees this is not how pizza should look like in Italy :( However there were a lot shrimps in pizza and shells in pasta.
