Bakery
Campbell's Bakery, with a history spanning almost two centuries, is a family-run establishment offering an array of freshly baked goods in Crieff and Comrie. From traditional Scottish treats like Scotch pies, oatcakes, and shortbread to savory options such as sausage rolls and macaroni pie, the bakery prides itself on its award-winning selection. Customers can also enjoy food to go including quiche, homemade soup, filled rolls, and hot drinks.
Local bakery with something to suit everyone. We go for an occasional treat, but you can see that it is used by many 'regulars' and passing trade too. Not the easiest to park near but worth it

We did a baking class at Campbell's bakery and made morning rolls and oatcakes. It was a really lovely atmosphere and Iain and team made us feel very welcome. We came armed with lots of questions and it was a really informative session, with lots (and lots!) to take away. Delicious lunch too! Thanks all.

I've visited this charming little bakery several times while staying at my sister's. The tuna and red onion rolls are absolutely amazing, the coffee is rich and flavorful, and the cakes are delightful. You won't regret trying this place!

I'd give this place more stars if it was an option! Fabulous customer service from Iain Campbell and hands down the best cake I've ever had! Staying locally for half term and it also happened to be my birthday on Monday. Campbell's is unfortunately closed on Monday's however my husband sent an email asking if there was anywhere locally we could potentially pick up from and within minutes we had a reply..... Despite being closed, Iain Campbell advised that we could give him a call when we were at the shop and pick up from him.....brilliant service! The cake itself was amazing! Moist, rich and very decadent..... hands down the best chocolate fudge cake we've ever had. Thanks to Iain for going the extra mile and helping to make my birthday a special one. Highly recommend for anyone visiting locally, although we have only tried a cake, the range of items on offer looks fabulous and well worth a visit if you're nearby.

Opens at 7am where competitors are later. I was travelling so this suited me. Offering is slight but enough and understandable given it's Crieff - a small population. Food was completely fine, more than ok. Service was polite and friendly. I went twice.
I. W — Google review
Such a delight visiting Campbell’s Bakery today! The food was fresh and full of flavour, and the two lovely young ladies behind the counter couldn’t have been more welcoming. Big smiles, warm service, and a perfect lunch thank you from the John Lewis crew! If we ever get the chance to come back, we definitely will! 💛

A roll with 2 undercooked sausages cost £4.75, had to fry the sausages for another couple of minutes when I got them home, overpriced and underwhelming. Would recommend people go to the food van at the other end of the street instead.

Nipped in for something quick for lunch the two ladies were very helpful polite and pleasant and the pies were delicious will be back

Italian restaurant
Breakfast restaurant
Delivino is a charming Italian restaurant located in the heart of Crieff. It offers a delightful selection of dishes, including truffled mac and cheese, smoked haddock risotto, sausage penne, avocado caprese, chargrilled chicken salads, and goats cheese pizzas. The menu features lighter and creative options rather than traditional Italian fare. Guests can also enjoy from-scratch pizzas topped with quality ingredients. The atmosphere is described as wonderful, quaint, and cozy.
Been coming here for years, great little local gem and very reasonable prices. The pizza and pasta dishes are always fresh and flavourful, and the service is top-notch. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate, perfect for a date night or family dinner. I always leave feeling full and happy! Highly recommend! ❤️

What a fantastic new menu, a few of the old favourites pepper some excellent new additions. The soft shell crab, chicken liver parfait, croquettes and sobrasada toasts particular highlights from the Small Plate section. I couldn’t help but order all of them, and the soft shell crab, twice! Liking the new crockery, they give a very authentic feel to the whole menu. For mains I had the Cacio e Pepe, I was already full but this was a plate of joy, and I couldn’t help but finish it. Dessert was a Lemon Meringue Sundae soft serve with lemon verbena, I was already beyond full… but it was a to good. The food was prompt and the service, as alway.. had a lovely personal touch. A great local restaurant trying new things, credit to them… I will be back and look forward to trying some of the other new items on the menu. “ Absolutely Loved It! “

I only stopped briefly for a coffee. Ended up ordering some chilli garlic prawns and a second espresso. All very good indeed. Good, friendly efficient service. Definitely recommended.

We went here for dinner whilst staying at the hydro. We rang and booked ahead but accidentally phoned the sister restaurant! The staff quickly assured us that there was no issue - the place was busy. We were quickly seated and offered a fully adapted gluten free menu . My husband isn't gluten free but we shared a pizza and pasta , the food was incredible! Every mouthful was full of flavour and not the usual 'something shoved together for the awkward one' My husband agreed other than the slight texture difference from the pizza base, he wouldn't know it was GF. The staff were so friendly, knowledgeable and reassuring that they knew exactly what they were doing with the food. The desert menu was explained and shown to me what I could have and how anything might be adapted, again bursting with flavour and great portion sizing. This has to be the best meal of the weekend and i'd come back just to visit this place again. We had two juices with our meal and it came to just over £50. We both felt the place was under priced for the food and service that we checked the bill- possibly what makes it a hidden GF gem for food, service and price !

Lovely little place, food great, we had beef burgers and they were delicious. Raspberry and pistachio Semifreddo for a dessert. Would definitely recommend and come back.

Absolutely amazing, staff very friendly and welcoming. Food was fantastic with a great selection of wines. If you visit/holidaying in Crieff don’t leave without trying this place, you won’t be disappointed 😎

Gorgeous place with fabulous food. We had the hummus starter and it was amazing, then pizzas but the tomato base was the nicest I’ve ever eaten. The owner had a chat with us and he explained there’s only 3 weeks in Italy that the tomatoes are perfectly ripe. Nice guy and lovely place, it was very busy with families, golfers and couples in there, so you need to book.

We were just walking by by chance. It looked really nice, so we went inside for lunch. The service, atmosphere, ambiance, and especially the food were absolutely delicious. We had a wonderful meal and would love to come back. Perfect.......thank you

My fiancee and I were staying at the Crieff Hyrdo and had our evening meal at the Meikle Restaurant. I was blown away not only by the food but the level of service too. We had the fish cake starter; genuinely one of the nicest starters I've ever eaten. The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly and the service was fast but did not seem rushed. I cannot wait to go back.

The Meikle's recent renovations have transformed the space! Delicious breakfast with beautiful views.
Ellie M — Google review
We had a meal at the Meikle as part of our stay at Crieff Hydro. It was a very mixed experience in that the food was actually quite good but with only two vegetarian main courses on the menu, and both of them pasta, we were very restricted in our choice. So it was a toss up between pasta arabiatta that I could throw together in minutes myself, or ravioli fungi. We went for the ravioli. We then received our meal, 5 small pieces of ravioli drowning in a creamy sauce, but even then it hardly covered the base of our plate. What a joke. At nearly £15, it didn't go close to satisfying our appetite- it felt like a starter portion. As a result we cancelled our meal planned for the second night of our stay and chose to go to the town centre instead. Service was very hit and miss with either too many interrupting while we ate or else nobody around leading to long waits for requesting drinks, dessert menu and finally our bill. Disappointing.
Irene C — Google review
Pure chaos. We had no less than 4 different people trying to attend us at different times once we received food, ignored until flagged someone down initially, ordered our food, drinks and water. Water never came. Bread that we were told we should have had upon seating, came at the end of starters. Food was meh, (had prawn and soup starter, steak and risotto. Soup was best) and we were brought other people's drinks and food. As my wife is pregnant we wanted to verify drinks (ensure she didn't have alcohol) and they had no idea what was what. Last thing we wanted after a day of travel. A shame, place has a decent view from the window.

Thank you for a lovely breakfast - excellent service from all staff and a specific nod to Marco in having wonderful conversation and service! Lovely dining experience making our travel weary morning very wonderful. Thank you!
Cory M — Google review
Very disappointing and poor service for our lunch today. Lack of knowledgeable and schooled staff. We had a last sitting but food was cleared away well before we had finished our meal. Struggled to get attention from staff, had to try and get attention for both, drinks orders and to clear our plates away. A beautiful place and its such a shame that the customer service was do appalling

Just excellent! Went a couple of times on a visit to Crieff and was amazed at just how good the food is in this unassuming and quiet wee place. Venison was amazing as was the roast duck breast. Sticky toffee pudding and pave desserts were divine. Special shout out to Jake who was our waiter, and was both knowledgeable and fun to talk to. Can't recommend this place highly enough!
Stuart S — Google review
Wow. This was unreal. I had the crispy beef to start and it was a huge portion and tasted excellent. Partner had the soup and again it was very generous and tasty with a beautiful thick bread served at the side. For a main I had the lamb rump which was served in a delicious sauce with an incredible aroma coming off it. My girlfriend had the braised blade of beef. Both meals were top tier. Service was all fasts and friendly. There wasn’t much of a wait for either course. Only minor criticism is that beer on draught would be ideal. All in all though this place is banging.

An excellent restaurant , chosen by a friend who joined us for a relaxed and enjoyable meal in pleasant surroundings. Interesting food with a bit of a twist. Very likely to be back when next in the area.

Fabulous restaurant! Wide range of very yummy food on both lunch menu and the dessert menu. Had the sourdough baguette BELT and the other half had the mac cheese with haggis, OMG lush! My wee Maw had the coriander and carrot soup and we all had pudding. Two words YUM! YUM! Totally welcomed our mutt and he got his water bowl before we got a look in, which I loved! Staff both friendly and knowledgeable. Superb!

The café has a warm and welcoming family business atmosphere, making it an ideal stop for families with young children. Visitors can expect excellent service and thoughtful touches such as high chairs and space for prams. On visiting Crief, we stumbled up Cafe Rhubard. So good. A lovely friendly, family run place that we felt very welcome in. Our grandson had fun and as you can see was very happy with his drink! Great food, lovely drinks and above all, very helpful and friendly 😀 Thank you, highly recommended.
Scottieboyuk — Google review
A bit overpriced for what we got Steamy windows and packed seats is what drew us in - it's popular, so it's probably good was our rationale. Unfortunately we didn't come away all too impressed. Pastrami and pickle sandwich, 6/10, it was OK, but didn't really feel like much effort went into it and at £8 I felt a bit short changed for what is essentially assembled supermarket ingredients. club sandwich, 6/10, same story here hot chocolate, 5/10, a bit watery, just tasted of sugar not a lot of chocolate taste, it was supposedly dark cherry but I couldn't taste that at all. Overall, the wait staff were perfectly nice, they did come over to our table and serve us, and they made us feel welcome. I can understand everyone is trying to make a living, but either they're living in the future in Crieff and that's just inflation or there's a lack of choice such that they can get away with it. Either way, I think there are better café options out there.
Edward S — Google review
Absolutely lovely cafe! Stopped whilst in town on a break away to Scotland...the food is amazing, prices are very reasonable, staff were friendly towards our whole group and the doggo that came with us! Highly recommended to anyone thinking about stopping for some food and drink! If I'm ever in town again I'll pop in 👌
Ashley B — Google review
We were a bit wary of going in as there was no menu on the outside. We went in, but were ready to walk out! Found a lovely booth styled place, great menu with reasonable prices. Dog friendly. Clean toilets. Ordered some breakfast, bacon was the best I’ve ever had and I’m an ex-trucker 65 years old and eaten all over Europe! Service was friendly, family owned and they have a pride in what they do. I wish I was hungrier at the time as the home cooked cakes looked incredible. Can’t recommend this place enough.
Peter G — Google review
Such a nice little place!! Went to Crieff for the afternoon and went here for lunch. Beautiful cafe with a wall full of pictures of dogs that have visited and very cute decor. They had some very atmospheric French music on. Menu is extensive and and quite reasonably priced. The tomato soup was very good and the bagels were delectable. The staff were very friendly, funny, and helpful. Again, a truly wonderful little place.
Sam B — Google review
Food was really nice, home made tomato soup! Echo what others say about the condensation issues, although overall good!
Daryn W — Google review
The wife and I decided to try out this cafe on a visit to Crieff. We had quite a rude introduction from the owner having a go at us for wanting lunch at 1:50 in the afternoon. As soon as we sat down a waitress was over demanding we order. The menu is not laid out too well, there are no gaps between one dish and another so can be quite confusing on what each dish actually comes with. So with the waitress standing over us we had about 30 seconds to decide on what we wanted. The wife went for a savoury crepe, which was rather unappealing when it turned up. It looked quite anneamic and came with a simple side salad. My wife did not enjoy it and left most of it. I went for the pastrami and pickle sandwich. It was okay but nothing special. The iced lattes were warm and lacked any flavour. We could tell the staff only wanted us out the door as fast as possible. We left the cafe about 2:20 which can give you an idea on how fast they through our food together and at us. I did notice later at about 3:10 the cafe was still open serving people, I wonder what abuse they got.
David L — Google review
Came in on a whim and now I fear I have created a long line of disappointments for the rest of my existence. Ordered a tuna and red onion toasted panini and got delivered what I can only describe as pure unadulterated bliss on a plate. I am convinced the chef has had their culinary skills imbued by some agreement with a darker power. Everything from this point will undoubtedly be a steep decline as nothing god can bless me with can compare to the ecstasy and euphoria given to me today. I will be back for another panini.

Discovered serendipitously, The Crieff Food Company is a hidden gem with delectable offerings. Their selection includes sourdough croissants and ciabatta from Wild Hearth Bakery, as well as an assortment of pies, pasties, cold meats, and butcher meat. The kebabs are delightful - two chicken and two beef options were sampled and found to be lovely, although the addition of red onion would enhance their flavor further.
We stopped in Crieff for 15 minutes to break our journey. We chanced upon the Crieff Food Company and were very impressed. We bought a few things. We didn’t go to the cafe. The presentation, range of products and overall ambience was great. The staff were polite and service was good if not particularly proactive. The shop would be impressive in Edinburgh. Even more so in a small town like Crieff. A great chef’s destination and something to make us think that Crieff would be a nice place to live.

Stopped in here for brunch before our tour of the Glenturret distillery up the road. He had a Full Monty and I had the haggis (don't knock it till you try it!) and poached egg sandwich and we shared a croissant. Nice brunch overall and a cute little shop we bought some gift at.

A nice little cafe in the heart of Crieff. They've got quite a varied menu, with many vegetarian options, and well priced too. I got the soup and sandwich combo, which were all great. The homemade coleslaw was especially nice. Also no extra charge for having oat milk with my cappuccino. Happy to say all up, my filing meal and coffee was under £15. Service was efficient and courteous.

There's a shop in the ground level with loads of delicious local produce, and a cafe downstairs that serves amazing sandwiches, rolls, cakes and breakfast food. Both the ones I tried were gorgeous and tasted great. I wish I passed by Crieff more often just to go there again.

Nice gift shop and foodie/produce section. Good if you want to get some snacks or local products whilst staying locally or if you want to take something home as a gift
Robyn M — Google review
Lovely wee place for breakfast or lunch. Service is so nice, genuinely nice staff. Bacon is real bacon, not steaky, not the cured stuff out of a sandwich. A proper rasher of bacon with the fat crisped can't say no to that. Even better they can cook a poached egg perfectly so you have something to dip your toast in. I will admit the coffee is a little strong for my taste but not excessively bitter bit the hot chocolate is just chocolate goodness made with milk 🥰. Do note that Creiff parking is pay and display £1.20 for an hour.

Found this almost by accident & I'm so glad I did. Picked up the sourdough croissants (from Wild Hearth Bakery) & a lovely sourdough ciabatta & low and behold, the most fabulous delicatessen was right there. With pies, pasties, cold meats & butcher meat. We picked up kebabs for our dinner 2 chicken & 2 beef. They were lovely. If I could make 1 suggestion, I'd add red onion to the mix but they were gorgeous anyway. I'll definitely be back in on my way home.

During a delightful day in Crieff, I discovered KB's Italian Restaurant, and it was an absolute treat! This charming family-run establishment offers authentic Italian cuisine that truly warms the heart. The ambiance is inviting, with decor that hints at its unique history as a former bank. I indulged in their traditional pizza and tiramisu—both were exceptional! The fresh ingredients and vibrant flavors made every bite memorable. The attentive staff added to the experience, ensuring we felt welcomed throughout our meal.
Really beautiful little Italian. Great food, really good service, would definitely recommend - looks like it was set in an old bank, but everything was really delicious with some good wines to match - would definitely go again if in the area. Dessert was the only course which wasn't quite up to par with the rest, but that's a small issue as I'm not really a dessert person anyway.

One of the authentic Italian food joint with an assorted and complete variety of soups salads pasta. We enjoyed the ambiance and the authentic taste of Italian dishes. The place was open till about 10 pm so was a good option to eat in that vicinity where all other food joints were closed.

Visit Crieff & had a lovely meal out at KB’s Italian! Admittedly I had traditional Italian pizza & tiramisu, but they make it so well- why wouldn’t you! I’m also not one for taking photos of my food, however knowing I’d want to leave a review I did so today- KB’s Special Calzone, linguini ai frutti di mare & tiramisu just fab, fresh ingredients, great flavours. Helpful & attentive service. Many thanks to all the team.

The staff is superb and the food is unique, Pizza and Pasta are highly recommended, we have eaten the Vegetarian Pizza and KB’s Special Pasta on these pictures that speak by themselves, we enjoyed the warm attention and their food, best in Crieff

Went for a day out in Crieff and stumbled across this place and weren't we glad we did. KB's Italian is amazing. The decor, food and service were top class. It's a family run business serving authentic cooked food and I love Italian. We had starters and mains and the pricing was extremely reasonable considering the quality, I would have been happy to have paid more. If visiting Crieff, then build a visit to KB's into your plans and you'll be delighted you did. Need one of these in Edinburgh. We'll be back.

KB's Italian Restaurant is a wonderful little gem in Crieff. A small, quaint place that has REALLY good food. The gnocchi is fresh, homemade, and VERY tasty. And, they made it with pompdoro sauce, making it even better. Prices are reasonable, especially when you realise you are getting well-made food with great, friendly service.

Nestled in the picturesque Perthshire countryside, The Glenturret Lalique Restaurant offers a remarkable fine dining experience that showcases Scotland's oldest working distillery. Since its grand opening in July 2021, this culinary gem has been dedicated to delivering exceptional gastronomy and hospitality. Under the guidance of Michelin-starred chef Mark, diners embark on an exciting journey through innovative flavor combinations that reflect his global culinary expertise.
Grand tasting experience at Lalique restaurant. Welcoming, unfussy entry to a spacious eating area. Over the next 3 hours the house staff presented us with multiple courses. Each flavoursome as the next. Friendly staff explained each dish well. Detailing where ingredients came from and where the chef attempts to use nose to tail. Matching wines ensured the night passed smoothly. Glassware and plating brings more life to the servings. Enjoyable evening in relaxed surroundings.

We stayed at Aberturret House and dined at Glenturret Lalique. Aberturret House was simply beautiful and brilliantly hosted by Celina. It's such a lovely and tranquil place. The room (Number 1) was large, comfortable, immaculately decorated and incredibly relaxing. Perfect in every sense. Then to the main event of the tasting menu at Glenturret Lalique. The welcome was warm and genuine and the service for the rest of the evening was superb. It would be unfair to name check anyone in particular, such was the consistent level of excellent service. The food itself was inventive, beautifully presented and had many different tastes and textures in every course. The Scallops and Roe Deer were the stand out dishes for me but everything we had was fantastic. It is the perfect venue for a top level culinary experience, coupled with extreme relaxation. Fabulous.

Dining at The Glenturret Lalique Restaurant last month was a truly memorable experience. Tucked away in the beautiful Glenturret Distillery, it's a true destination restaurant, and we made a special trip just to eat there. It was easily one of the best meals I've ever had. With two Michelin stars, I feel it's well on its way to a third—the food is that exceptional. The high level of service started long before we arrived. After booking, I received a thoughtful email to confirm details and ask about dietary needs. I don't eat deer, and since Roe Deer was the main course, they graciously arranged for a stunning Wagyu beef replacement. That level of personal care really set a positive tone for the evening. Every dish that came to the table was a work of art. The meal was a masterclass in culinary creativity, with each course offering a delightful surprise in its presentation, complexity, and flavour. Even the bread was unforgettable. It wasn't a typical sourdough, but a special Malted Barley Glazed version served with several house-cultured butters. I enjoyed it so much that I took the rest back to my hotel for breakfast the next day. The kitchen skillfully blends different culinary styles with the freshest local Scottish ingredients. A perfect example was the caviar course, cleverly served using an Asian bun technique. Another highlight for me was the Sea Bream, which was cooked delicately and stuffed while keeping the skin perfectly intact. The textures, flavors, and presentation were all flawless. We also opted for the Prestige Worldwide Pairing, which was a fantastic decision. We tasted seven different drinks from all over the world, and each one was a perfect partner to its dish. By the end of the main courses, I was completely full, but then the dessert and petit fours arrived in a wonderfully playful and surprising presentation box, ending the meal on a high note. My only regret is that I couldn't book a room at the residence—it was fully booked! That would have been the perfect way to fully enjoy the wine pairing without worrying about the drive back. Despite its remote location, The Glenturret Lalique is an experience I won't soon forget. If I could give it six stars, I absolutely would. I am already planning my next special journey to visit again.

There are not many restaurants in Scotland that truly deserve the title must-visit, but Lalique at the Glenturret Distillery is without a doubt one of them - and perhaps the very best I’ve ever experienced in Scotland. We had lunch, The food is simply outstanding: precise, flavorful, beautifully crafted with top-quality ingredients -and all at a surprisingly reasonable price for the level it delivers. Service was excellent as well: attentive, professional, and genuinely warm, adding so much to the overall experience. What makes this place truly unique is its location - a fine dining restaurant right inside one of Scotland’s oldest whisky distilleries. The restaurant’s bar carries an exceptional range of rare whisky expressions, the kind you would hardly find anywhere else. For whisky lovers, it’s nothing short of paradise. I wholeheartedly recommend making the detour, even if it takes you slightly off your planned route. If you love whisky and appreciate great food, this is the perfect place to enjoy both worlds at their very best.

We chose this restaurant to celebrate our engagement, and it became a night to remember. Each dish, a work of art — thoughtfully crafted and full of creativity, As if the chef painted stories on each plate. The warmth, the flavors, the ambiance — all left a lasting impression. We can’t wait to return and relive the magic once more.

This restaurant has all you want to enjoy, and high-quality local food prepared with heart. The staff is friendly, well synced, and attentive detail. The calming, relaxing atmosphere, and it was great to admire the designs of furniture and crystal by Lalique. Portions were just right, and the food was seasoned to perfection. Staff were very cautious about food intolerance.

World-Class Multi-Course Dining with Exceptional Service The Glenturret Lalique near Crieff is a restaurant operating at the very top level. Mark Donald’s food is simply outstanding – technical, precise, and yet full of playful touches that make the experience memorable. The menu has moments of real surprise. A humble Scottish tattie scone is elevated to world class. Bread is treated as a course in its own right, unlimited and quite possibly among the best in the UK. The langoustine arrives in two parts: a tartare with caviar and a delicate biscuit with mousse – elegant and clever. The lobster toddy is another highlight, starting with a “knuckle sandwich,” claws presented as the poshest sandwich imaginable, served with a lobster broth, followed by the tail cooked gently over coal. The lamb, cooked perfectly pink, was a masterclass in flavour and balance. Service matches the standard of the kitchen – professional, knowledgeable and yet wonderfully relaxed. The team are exceptional at reading the room, creating an atmosphere that feels welcoming and unpretentious while still delivering polished fine dining. Desserts continue in the same spirit. The raspberry and wild rose combination was light and refreshing, while the signature Maracaibo mille-feuille is fun and theatrical, a dish that closes the meal with a smile. We stayed at Aberturret House, just a short walk from the restaurant (with a lift provided if needed). With only six bedrooms it’s a peaceful retreat, and the continental breakfast made for a fitting end to a truly special stay. This is dining that feels destined for even greater recognition – world-class food in a beautiful part of Scotland.

Impeccable service and excellent food. Beautiful and spacious dining room. Knowledgeable staff who could answer questions about everything from the dishes and ingredients, to wine and whisky, to glassware. A very extensive whisky menu with a deep back catalogue of Glenturret as well as lots of non-Glenturret options, many at quite a steal (eg Longrow 18 for £12, yes please). The most consistently good wine pairings of any restaurant in recent memory for me.

Nestled within the Crieff Hydro Hotel, The Brasserie offers a delightful dining experience that strikes a balance between casual and family-friendly. This inviting venue features its own charming bar and encourages guests to explore an individually priced menu, making it perfect for those looking to customize their meal. While it's advisable to make dinner reservations due to its popularity, visitors will appreciate the relaxed atmosphere that welcomes families. Although some diners have noted limited vegetarian options, many still rave about the quality of food served here.
The best restaurant in Crieff Hydro. They did change the menu though when I was there in Jan and there wasn't a lot of vegetarian options. I used to get the halloumi skewers. Would be nice if they added more halloumi/cheese things to menu.

After staying at Crieff we found the atmosphere to be somewhat disappointing. The food took 35/40 minutes to come and the service was poor. The nicois salad was very unfortunate (2/10) but my partners salmon was alright (5/10). It was an overall somewhat unpleasant experience (3/10).

Friendly service, the food was fine but nothing special. The portions were fairly small for the price. We had the French onion soup- okay, the burger- pretty dry, and the Niçoise salad- missing the egg… Overall nice atmosphere but wouldn’t bother going again

Been to this restaurant a few times over the years and always been well served with good food. A recent rebranding and the service has fallen greatly. Meals were tasty but took a long time to arrive. We ordered 3 desserts, one a kids which arrived promptly, mine from the display which was served 10mins later, my wife's from the kitchen which never arrived. We gave up after 20mins. Sadly not sure we'll be back in future years.

Expensive, menu dull, food average. Very noisy and echoey, particularly up to 7pm. We were very disappointed with this place. Portions also too big. A lot of food was left on our plates. The only plus was the young folk who served us who were helpful and friendly.

Just home after eating in le brassiere in Crieff Hydro. Vegetarian options extremely limited. Food good although the one thing that really did spoil the night was having the waiter hovering behind us trying to hurry us on . He even tried to take away a plate before we were finished!!

Dropped in for an afternoon coffee and a bite to eat - the club sandwich was one of the best:toasty, boiled egg slices, generous and crispy fries. Coffee was piping hot. Service and food get 5 stars, atmosphere 4, only because the background music was a bit too loud - more foreground than background but the setting itself is just lovely, light and bright and a pleasure to sit in.

Very disappointed at the change made to what was an extremely favourite cafe. It does look nice but something is definitely missing. You must wait to be seated - not able to choose a seat like before - then table service! Can't see friends coming in etc. We went in for a coffee and were told at nearly 3.00pm, that it was really lunchtime food being served. 3.00pm??? Ordered 2 scones and 2 lattes. The (small) scones were nearly eaten by the time the coffees arrived. They are very small coffees for £4.50 each!! The place used to have a great atmosphere with a good variety of people - lots of young couples, older people, families and children being happy and relaxed. Now it's rather stuffy and has a poor atmosphere. One good thing is the staff - they are very pleasant and helpful. I can see it might be very good as a bar at night and this was something that was definitely lacking. Won't likely come back as it's just too different to the place we used to love.

Super slow service, no server came and we were seated and waiting for 30 mins 🥹 The only reason we got even water was because another waitress had mistaken our table for someone else’s and I had to ask if they could bring some water. I had to go to the host in the front to order our food and ask for the check because no waitress ever came by to take our order except to leave the food. Also the salads we ordered were horrible and overpriced, wilted large pieces of lettuce and cabbage, big stemmed brócolis, old strawberries mushy to the point where it could have been mold and rotten, overly drenched in its dressing, clearly the salad had been a bit old because it was all weighted down. Anyway the hostess was nice!

I saw place online, "open til 5pm" but when I got there, closed, no explanation. Run by Craig and Kayleigh, along with their son, daughter, cat Meister, and pub dog Jager, The Tower provides a cozy atmosphere for visitors to relax and indulge in delicious meals.
We only dined there so cannot judge the rooms. The food was delicious. We tried the Cullen skink and it was tasty. There was a breaded halloumi cheese sandwich that was fantastic. Care had been taken to provide a variety of yummy food for people with varying diets. The staff person was very friendly and there was nice background music. Everything was shipshape yet very cozy and welcoming. My husband's first experience with haggis (on a fried chicken sandwich) was positive! The dog friend there, Jager, was very mannerly and sweet to the young family with several children and to us.

We stayed at The Tower and booked two rooms. The service was fantastic—extremely friendly, and both of the staff were super nice to us. The rooms were comfortable, but a small downside is that ours were just above the bar, so it can get quite loud when people are partying below. Overall, a lovely place with great hospitality, just be aware of the bar noise if you’re sensitive to it.

I was staying at Braidhaugh campsite, it was a nice sunny day so we decided to go to a beer garden. The Tower hotel has a beer garden around the back and was ideal for us.It has a good selection of alcoholic beverages and the service was good. My only complaint would be the food, we ordered 2 x pizza one was pepperoni the other was BBQ chicken £14 for the pepperoni and £16 for the BBQ chicken, quite expensive for something that looked like it was bought from ASDA.I have my own pizza oven at home and was expecting better for the extortionate price. I would return to the tower but I would avoid the pizza.

We went there for food around 5.30pm on a Wednesday during the school mid-term. With our 4 year old. We were greeted with a warm welcome and taken to our table. Our daughter was given some colouring in by the staff. Whilst our drinks order arrived promptly Our food arrived after one hour (we just ordered main courses) and I then had to go to the main reception to pay as we were keen to get our daughter home to bed. The food was nice but service was slow. It looked as if they were under staffed. However, they were friendly throughout and did discount our meal, without asking, by way of apology.

What a fantastic hotel this is. I stayed with my husband for two nights as an end to our honeymoon and loved everything about it. The interior is done beautifully - modern but it retains its traditional and cosy character. We felt immediately at home. Staff could not be more friendly and helpful, impeccable service throughout. The kitchen deserves also the highest praise, what we have eaten was delicious and of the highest standard. Every ingredient was perfectly prepared and cooked and looked beautiful. Took a visit to The Gurkhas whilst on a visit to Crieff Hydro. Heard a couple of recommendations(one from a fairly local person) to pay a visit. we ordered a Chicken Rogan Josh and a Chicken Chilli dish (I forgot the full name) from the Chefs Special. Nan bread comes sliced into smaller pieces and was an excellent texture. The rice was a good size split between the two of us and I’d also recommend the chips. Very pleased to have visited as the food was terrific. Service was good and although there was only one other group in there was a regular flow of takeaways. The cost was fairly reasonable and if I’m in Crieff again I’ll try to pay another visit.

Great food and fantastic service. What’s not to like? We had chicken pakoras and onions bhajis to start which we shared. Starters were nice enough but nothing stand out. Not the best ive ever had, or the worst. The mains however were brilliant. I had lamb madras and partner had chicken tikka masala. Both curries were great. The madras was full of flavour and had a nice kick without being too spicy. We got a pilau rice and portion of chips between us and that worked out nicely. Got a bit overexcited when the curry arrived and forgot to get a picture. Would definitely return. Probably just skip the starters and double down on the curries.

As mentioned by others the portions are large but the staff happily provided a takeaway box so I could enjoy my leftovers later! The meal was very reasonably priced too at only £55 for poppadoms two courses and drinks for both of us. Will be back next time I’m in Crieff. Thanks again guys!

We had a fantastic evening at The Gurkhas in Crieff. We were a large party of 16, and despite the restaurant being busy with other tables and takeaway orders, the service was absolutely outstanding, made even more impressive by the fact that it was all handled by a single front-of-house staff member. The solo waiter was calm, attentive, and incredibly efficient. He managed every detail with professionalism and warmth, never once seeming flustered despite the pressure. Truly a credit to the restaurant! As always, the food was exceptional, some of the best Indian and Nepalese cuisine we’ve had in the area (or anywhere, for that matter). Every dish was full of flavour, beautifully cooked, and served piping hot. From the starters to the curries and sides, everything was faultless. We absolutely love this place, it never disappoints and continues to be one of our favourites. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Crieff or passing through. A real gem!

The Birnam is an adorable lunch spot nestled within the Gleneagles hotel. The appetizer, burrata, was served delightfully cold and fresh. The Scottish salmon was flawlessly cooked, although it lacked accompanying sides and only had tomatoes. This restaurant tends to be on the pricier side.
Such a lovely cute place, perfect for dates! We were greeted in such a friendly manner and escorted to our table, our server was amazing and knowledgeable about the whole menu. We had a beautiful bottle of wine, we were staying at the hotel so my boyfriend asked the staff to decanted the bottle ahead of our arrival. We had a few items of the menu, the Short Rib Bites was to die for as well as the Chili & Garlic Prawns. We ordered a big porterhouse to share, of course, it was cooked perfectly, we both loved it but our eye was bigger than our stomach. We ordered a side with the steak which we barely even touch as we already had plenty of food. Overall such an amazing experience, we loved everything from start to finish!!

Atmosphere is lovely, laid back and relaxed, service is excellent. My partner enjoyed her lamb & veg, it was cooked perfectly, however there were some chewy parts. I ordered the crab spaghetti, i really did not like this, Parmesan/white sauce with crab was an odd taste, way too much going on IMO. Lady across from me was also complaining about how odd the taste of the crab spaghetti was. Pound for pound, money wise i don’t think it is worth it, restaurant has the looks, the service and atmosphere, just not the food.

A nice restaurant serving grilled steaks and seafood. The atmosphere was nice and the service was good. There was unfortunately a birthday party with around 15 children on one side of the restaurant which made it less welcoming initially. We are giving 3 stars because the pricing was not as expected, we were surprised that the £70 beef fillet (300g) came with no sides or garnish and was just meat on a lonely white plate. With each side dish at £6, you're nearly at £90 for a single signature dish which is not rated, or Michelin starred. I would recommend offering a wholesome and comfortable experience as the secondary restaurant in the hotel as opposed to pushing their limits with that menu and children's birthday parties. Overall, the quality was good.
Nuric — Google review
The waiting staff were engaging, helpful and polite but I'm afraid the food was a major disappointment. I love eating out and I hate writing a poor review but I've got to be honest about our experience at The Birnam. Given it's Gleneagles you would expect everything to be of a very high standard. This wasn't the case. The focaccia was not light and airy and in fact even with a sharp knife it was difficult to cut through. My ravioli lacked flavour and was just underwhelming. But the worst part was my husband's steak, which on cutting, spilled out lots of juices leaving a watery, bloody pool on the plate. It clearly hadn't been rested long enough, if at all. The Birnam is charging £56 for the steak alone. Add your sauce and sides and you're talking £79 for one main. This is not a problem if everything is as it should be, but it wasn't. The manager was apologetic but who wants to wait another 40 minutes for a replacement when I'd already finished my main.

Very cute lunch spot tucked in the Gleneagles hotel. For apps we split the buratta and it came out very cold and fresh. The Scottish salmon was perfectly cooked (beware no sides served with it, just some tomatoes). So it’s a bit on the pricier side. My friend ordered the Salmon Risotto. The risotto was perfectly cooked but I think it had a little too much herbs (thyme) taking away from the creaminess of the risotto and the flavor of the salmon. Overall the ambiance is very picture esque, but it is a but pricey. Service was great!

Today was our second trip to the brasserie. Both birthday treats. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and a proper sun trap. You’d easily forget you were tucked away in a little corner of Perthshire. The quality of the food is world class. I struggle to compare it to anywhere else in Scotland (Michelin starred or otherwise). I’m a fan of oysters and today’s from Loch Fyne were some of the freshest i’ve ever had. Looking forward to my next trip already!

Visited on 22nd of March with my partner & 2 year old, ordered some drinks and chicken goujons chips for my little one, we waited around 35 mins before asking where his food was the bartender apologised as she forgot to give the ticket to the kitchen said she was new, we waited a further 15 mins before his food arrived he was served fish chips and peas (not what we ordered). My partner took this back to the bar where the chef was standing he had realised that the bartender had given him the wrong ticket, the chef apologised and said he would get it sorted straight away, we waited a further 10 mins finally the correct dish had arrived my little one was desperate to get tucked in. As I was cutting up the chicken goujons for him to eat I realised that these weren’t cooked in the middle. We had been served raw chicken! We asked the same bartender to speak to the chef again he offered us a refund of £7 for the meal which we accepted finished our drinks and left. Appalling customer service especially from the bartender was so disinterested in the whole situation and the chef serving us raw chicken as he tried to rush it out. No wonder the place was empty!!

This bar is a hidden gem for families, offering exceptional service and an outstanding food selection. The Spanish tapas are authentic, with the best croquetas de jamón I've had in ages and sublime papas con mojo. The variety of dishes caters to all tastes, ensuring a delightful dining experience. A cozy hotel located in a Victorian residence, offering stunning views of the loch. Guests can enjoy dining options, a whiskey bar, and complimentary breakfast. The hotel also caters to whisky enthusiasts with special 2-day breaks that include a tasting menu. Their selection of single malts covers all the major distilling regions of Scotland, including rare finds. Whether you're new to whisky or an expert, they offer Whisky Journeys for all levels of knowledge.
We had an overnight stay here recently after seeing their DBB offer and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Due to our late take-up on the offer, the only available room was a small double, which was nice but one side of the bed was against a wall. It wasn't ideal but we were only staying for one night. The restaurant was very busy but the meal was still really, really nice. We each had a different starter then we both had a steak for our main meal which was delicious. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and Claire's recommendation of wine was excellent. The breakfast the next day for a big guy, was a bit on the small side but no bad thing after our lovely meal the night before. The hotel is situated in a very scenic area and we will return soon.

Achray house is a place where you'll find the very best of Scottish hospitality. The food is sublime and is served with warmth and excellent knowledge of wine pairings. One person in our party had specific dietary requirements. The chef catered for their needs with imaginative and exciting alternatives. The view from the dining room is absolutely stunning. Would definitely recommend staying at Achray House.

This was our second visit and every bit as good as the first time. Wonderfully casual with fantastically friendly owners and staff. We choose the tasting menu and we were not disappointed. All dishes were beautifully presented and treated as good as they looked. Great breakfast too. We will definitely return.

Clean, comfortable and toasty warm room on a very cold January evening. Gorgeous Mackintosh style bed with great mattress and lovely soft pillows. Dinner was exceptionally good, with all three courses exquisitely prepared and presented. Despite being understaffed due to illness the service was friendly and attentive throughout our stay. An excellent breakfast overlooking Loch Earn and the mountains behind gave us a great end to our stay. We will definitely be back in the future!
Drew B — Google review
Achray House Restaurant with Rooms is truly exceptional, a gem of a place on the banks of Loch Earn with fabulous views. We originally only booked for one night for a dinner, bed and breakfast deal with their tasting menu, but we were so totally blown away with the whole experience that we added another night and even took out membership. The highlight for us was the outstanding food with matched wines. Claire knows her wines inside out and was able to perfectly match wines to each delicious course both with the tasting menu and 3 course dinner. This was cookery of the highest standard and a sommeliere's knowledge and understanding of wines. The atmosphere at Achray house is informal, relaxed and so very friendly that you can really kick back and relax. Our room on the first night was beautiful with outstanding views over the Loch, super-comfy bed with good linens, and every amenity you could wish for. Even when we had to move because we hadn't booked for an extra night they found us a really cosy, comfortable room which was all we needed. Claire and Laura (Lorna?) have worked so hard to make this an absolutely fabulous getaway which we can't recommend highly enough.

When visiting Crieff, a trip to Central Fish Bar is a must for anyone craving delicious fish and chips. The friendly team ensures a satisfying experience for every visitor. Additionally, the area boasts other great food shops such as Fish in Crieff, Campbells Bakery, and Gordon and Durwards sweetie shop.
Had a very lovely fish supper. Fish was hot and fresh, chips were as well. Staff was an absolute delight. Would recommend if you want a good, filling meal!

The chip roll is just a burger bun and chips. No butter on the burger bun. I'm quite partial to a chip roll and you do want a roll when you order one rather than a cheap burger bun. Frustrated that I paid more for that as I'd have rather just had chips. Chips on their were fine but didn't finish. Disappointing.

Fish was greasy and the fritters were the smallest I have ever seen. Wrapping skills need some work also. In passing, not my first time here but certain to be my last. Described online as the best fish and chips in Crieff. I assume also the only fish and chip shop in Crieff.

I have been a regular customer here for quite some time now. I have a large family to feed and so the Central Fish Bar have done very well out of me all this time. Their food is usually good, hence the reason I kept returning. However, tonight the food they served us was not fit for human consumption!!! The chips and fish were reheated, dry, hollow and void of any taste!!! I have never eaten such appalling food! Even the sheep dogs weren't interested in it when we got home!! I am so disgusted at your food this evening, on principal, I couldn't possibly return. You have lost a valuable customer.
Laura W — Google review
Chips not well cooked filled with grease, fried pizza tasted stale with inedible edges and had almost no topping. Sausage was good
Peter M — Google review
Central fish bar used to be my "go to" for decent food, but it seems a change of ownership may have taken place, certainly a change of cook has. The fish, full of pin ones, the chips I think were left over from Adams first meal. The food has deteriorated dramatically. Clearly the young girl behind the counter knew that the instructions she had received from the cook, to "mix them together" was wrong as she asked again as she looked towards me waiting for food. The young girl, I must say, was delightful, polite and well mannered. I've crossed this off my list of go-to's, advised all those I previously referred to the place to seek other options.

Nestled in the charming town of Crieff, G's Bistro is a culinary gem that promises an unforgettable dining experience. The boudin noir special paired with apple puree showcased the restaurant's commitment to using top-notch ingredients. The French onion soup was a standout—rich and deeply flavorful, it rivaled any I've had during my time in Paris!
The French onion soup was hands down the best I’ve ever tasted — rich, deeply flavorful, perfectly balanced. And that’s saying a lot, considering I spent several months living in Paris. The meat was absolutely stunning: incredibly tender, cooked to perfection, and full of flavor. Every bite was a delight. The desserts were also excellent — beautifully presented and delicious. Service was impeccable. Our waitress was incredibly kind, attentive, and professional, and made us feel truly welcome. I had a meal with a chef friend of mine a while ago, I believe 1st of August and I forgot to post a review, well here it is. I come to crieff a lot for work but I have never eaten at g's. Big mistake. Without a doubt the best, honest, flavour packed and well executed meal I've had there. Bar none. There was a boudin noir special on at the time which I had. Simply done with some apple puree, np need to do much when the ingredient is of such high quality. Just perfect. Little dijon mustard, little salad. Awesome. The I had steak frites which was probably one of the best sirloins I've ever had. Seasoned, cooked and rested beautifully. Delicious fries and sauce. Again, when the ingredient is good, no messing about just cook it well, which the chef did. And I mean cooked perfectly. Tarte tatin special that night which I had to have, and it was just perfect. Pastry tasted and looked homemade, which not a lot of places do. Not too sweet, just perfect. Great vibe in the restaurant, very friendly waitress and manager. I believe this restaurant is soon to swap hands. I just want to say I wish I had come sooner and more often and good luck in the future. One of the best meals I've ever had. Compliments to the chef and good luck to whomever takes over I wish you all the best. The bar has been set high. All the best, the man in the heavy metal tshirt. Oh and reasonably priced for hiw amazing it was. I've certainly paid more for a lot lesser quality meals im crieff.

I think I set my expectations too high for this place. It all started well with the French Onion Soup which was one of the best I’ve had. However the main course “Famous Chicken Savoyard” was very disappointing. I’d describe it as cheesy chicken with McDonalds fries. It might have been ok if they’d replaced the fries with some vegetables. The other mains served at our table also looked less than impressive.

Discovered this hidden gem during a vacation from Wales. The cuisine was outstanding, earning a perfect rating of 10 out of 10. The pizza, in particular, stood out for its freshness and unrivaled flavor. The children's portions were incredibly generous, and the establishment even provided coloring materials to keep the little ones occupied while waiting. An added bonus was that they allowed small dogs in the waiting area.
We were heading somewhere else for a take away but it wasn’t open. This was a happy accident. The pizza & chips were amazing. We got the diavolo 🤤 nice amount of spice, nice crisp to the crust and thin-ish base. Chips had a nice crisp to them. We shared and couldn’t finish it 🤦🏼‍♀️ still regretting that 😂 the restaurant wasn’t open when we were there but the staff were friendly even when I tried to walk out without paying (accidentally) I thought I’d paid when ordering 😂

A huge disappointment. I've used this place before for fish and chips and it's been excellent. While buying, I'd often seen Chinese food being prepared and it looked really good. Finally ordered 7 Chinese dishes a few days ago........absolutely dreadful; everything was far too highly seasoned, too much MSG etc and the beef and chicken in the dishes was totally overcooked and virtually inedible. This was such a surprise and a huge disappointment. I would like to think something just went wrong on the night (they were quite busy) but I won't use them again except possibly for fish and chips.

excellent food and very good service! this place is further away than our most local Chinese take away but definitely worth an extra few miles!!
Laura W — Google review
The lady taking the order was very angry and rude. She did not know what is gluten, and was not willing to cash upon the opportunity to learn from a customer. No card payment even in contact less card and corona times. The food was ok though, after I assertively made them cook rice and vegetables for me without soya sauce.. and hence managed a gf meal.

Fast food restaurant
Nestled in the charming town of Crieff, Orchid Chinese Takeaway is a delightful spot for those craving authentic Asian flavors. Located on King Street, this eatery specializes in fast food with a twist, offering a variety of traditional Chinese dishes that are perfect for a quick meal or takeaway. The menu features an array of options to satisfy different palates, making it an ideal choice for both locals and visitors alike.
Found ourselves in Crieff and not knowing where to go for dinner. After being disappointed by every sit in restaurant we decided to get a take away and head back to our lodgings for the night. Man who served us was brilliant, made sure we got the best value for money and cheered us up after a gloom evening. Even gave my daughter some free sweets! The food was brilliant. We are Chinese Takeaway snobs and like what we like, but this place is on par with our favourites back home. With the delightful service and yummy food I would recommend anyone near Crieff (or passing) to try The Orchid Chinese Takeaway!

Got special fried rice, worst special fried rice ive ever had from a Chinese takeaway. Boiled rice with a horrible smell from the barbecue sauce which colour didn't resemble barbecue sauce. Meat was horrible and prior to ordering I heard the microwave bleeping. Chicken meat was boiled and pork was a funny colour didn't eat went straight to the bin. Avoid and expensive prices....
Paul — Google review
Sad. Chicken fried rice was rice (it didn't appear to be fried) with what appeared to be wet, floppy boiled chicken on the top. Salt and pepper chips were obviously reheats as they were pretty stale. And the curry sauce, I've never seen orange curry sauce before .... Safe to say none of the above was eaten. Highly disappointed, wouldn't recommend.
Jay M — Google review
REALLY disappointing. The food was tasteless and incredibly salty. The ingredients were basic , chicken fried rice was literally that, fried rice with chicken in salty gravy placed over the top. Can't think of any redeeming qualities. Waited over an hour for it too.
Fiona B — Google review
Worst Chinese I have ever had absolutely disgusting. - Chicken fried rice. What in the name was that? Boiled rice with chicken on top. Chips for soggy. The best part was putting it in the bin.

Great food and excellent value

Phoned an order in for 6 people and was told that it would take about 30 mins to prepare. When I arrived about 25mins later they were just finishing the order. Great food and we will definitely be using them again.
John A — Google review
Very poor. Ham fried rice turned out to be a full tub of plain fried rice with 5 small cubes of ham garnished on top. Flavourless and £7.20 for the privelage. Would not recommend.

Have always ordered from here when we stay at braidhaugh holiday park. Food has always been amazing and always forget how large their food is every time we have ordered 🤣. When ordering from here they phone us to collect from the carpark at the Holliday park which is great. Definitely recommend

Place is an absolute dump, worst pizza i have ever eaten, could barely even look at it. God knows what the kitchen looks like in the back. Stay well clear of this place, I'd you're looking for a pizza there is two great pizza places in Crieff
Rob S — Google review
First visit the Pizzas were perfect, really tasty, perfectly cooked and well presented. The fries were the same, properly delicious. The second visit was the opposite, Pizzas were burned and the chips were soggy, we binned it and cooked dinner for us and the kids.

The service here is consistently friendly, making every visit feel like coming home.
It is a good crunch munch in crieff and the ice cream and snacks are amazing

Not a sit in. But plenty of flavours of ice cream to choose from. 😋 maybe too many for some 😆. Different sizes of tubs and cones. Hot drinks as well as cold available. Parking outside, but it is a busy road.
Lynn B — Google review
I regularly visit and order from this restaurant after work, the service is always on point and they are great at providing a really homely experience. The food is always delicious and surprisingly just as good delivered as it is in store. They're more than willing to talk to me when I'm waiting, they even have things like Dr Pepper sauce for milkshakes which I can't speak on the quality, but I'm just amazed that such an item exists. I will absolutely visit again someday, I'll bring any and all my friends that come up to Stirling too.
David C — Google review
Just looking at the review I can see that this place has it's regular customers. Food was fresh and hot and I appreciate it. Unfortunately I'm not partial to soggy waffles and doughnuts. Plus prices are quite high.
Ewelina — Google review
AVOID **Dishonest** Went in with my son and he wanted to buy a “prime” drink and “takis” crisps, because we can’t get them where we live…asked the shopkeeper why they were so expensive (£5 and £6.99) the answer was “they are imported from America” Having made the purchase, we found the exact same items…for less than half price ! Buyers be seriously beware please !!
Scott M — Google review
I really enjoy the food, but I would say it's a bit pricey for what you get, so we tend to only get it as a treat. Always enjoy it though!
Lizzie B — Google review
Nice spacious shop with some lovely ice creams at a reasonable price for the size you get. Nice little breakfast bar to sit at and watch the high street and a handy selection of sweets to also enjoy.

Subway is a casual fast-food chain that offers customizable sandwiches and salads. It caters to health-conscious individuals with various options available. While the quality of service can vary depending on the person serving, this particular visit was pleasant, thanks to the assistance provided by a helpful young man. The sandwiches were generously filled with a decent variety of ingredients.
Fantastic service! Staff were absolutely amazing. Subs were delicious too. Love this place, staff really make it!
Nicole D — Google review
Extremely rude staff, a female employee rushed me when making my order and the other male employee laughed at me when deciding what drink to get. It was clear that employees clearly didn't care about their job or serving their customers.
Greig S — Google review
I went in today with my son. After ordering 3 subs me and my 10yr old noticed the glass and food was infested with fungus gnats flying everywhere. I’m not talking just a few, the place was swarming with them. The girl had already made the sandwiches up but I did remark about the flies. She said the inspector was coming tomorrow and that it was 100% worse in the back. She told me she opened the fridge and loads of flies flew out. I really was outraged. I paid for the subs, walked out and tossed the whole order in the bin. My son refused to eat them. We are in a pandemic and cleanliness is paramount but this place was beyond dirty. I felt bad for the young girl serving but she knew herself how bad the infestation was. We ended up driving home and cooking something from scratch. I won’t be back it was disgusting.
Nat H — Google review
Only 1 staff member. Not his fault obviously as he only has one set of hands. Food was good. Pretty slow to get an order for a family of 4 and there were people waiting behind us.
James G — Google review
My boys love subway. this one is good but can be a bit hit and miss depending on who is serving behind the counter. This time the young man was very helpful. Put plenty of fillings on. They have a fair selection but not as many as some stores but Crieff is only a small place and maybe not as busy to warrant a large selection of different fillings.
Sandie R — Google review
Place has gone downhill recently. Had bad experience month ago and was assured by management would be improved for next visit. Sadly wasn't. The idea of a sandwich is that you can pick it up and eat it, not have to use a spoon
Barrie C — Google review
Food is good. New staff needs to be trained better. Wearing the same gloves for 4 clients also touching screen and money with the same gloves.

Quick service. The staff is polite and nice. Only has few stools and 1 table so is better to takeaway the food. Prices are standard and ok.

These guys are cash only but we were not informed this at time of order, so had to drive to COOP 5 mins away to get cash and return, thought about just going somewhere else but heard food was great. Food was mediocre.

I ordered 2x chicken fried rice with oyster sauce And a portion of chicken balls for £25 I received dry chicken and some sort of microwaved rice. It was disgusting. Not what I had asked for. I have been in the past and not had a problem but I won't be back after tonight. I attempted to contact them to see if they would correct my order or at least make the sauce I asked for but was ignored. £25 out other Chinese' will get you a lot more

We got this Chinese carry out on Christmas day. I was so grateful you were open as my house was badly flooded and I lost my Christmas food. 😢😞What can I say it was the best food we have ever had on Christmas day!!!!!! I would really recommend this restaurant, friendly staff, good prices, quality fresh hot food large portions very tasty. Thanks again. 😊👍🎉🎊

Really lovely place with a great atmosphere. Mix of British and French food in a cosy town-centre restaurant. We went three times in the week we were in Crieff - the first time to escape the tired cuisine up at the Hydro where we were staying but after that because the food and the welcome at The Lounge were worth returning for.

Had Sunday lunch here with a group of 6 adults & 2 children. Service was excellent the staff were very pleasant. Food was really good, we were bit wary having had a less positive experience in the past but things have improved massively, we will be back! :)

We enjoyed a family meal here while staying nearby - you don't have to stay on site to eat here. Kids had the home made pizza - they loved it. Steak pie was cooked fresh and was delicious and fajitas were tasty and plentiful. Good value for money. Waiter - young man, didn't get his name, was friendly, attentive and chatty. Views were amazing. Would recommend.
Family T — Google review
Absolutely terrible experience in the lodge tonight. Our first trip in to try out the homemade pizza night. 4 pizzas, 2 chips, 1 onion rings and 3 juices. £55 in total. Expectations sitting high only to be greeted with half cooked, frozen pizza. Ridiculous at £11.50 a pizza. When challenging the 2 staff members, they again confirmed these pizzas are hand made and rolled there by the chef. Total lies. Don't waste your time on this. On a par of a coop pizza - not worth it. Staff not interested in this conversation and seemed disinterested that I said I would share my experience on Google. Total poor show. As a family of 5 with 3 young kids we had to eat what was ordered as our 3 and 6 year old wouldn't allow for this. Disappointed not to be offered an apology or any partial refund for the poor show of food.

Saturday morning and you can not even buy bones or prawns to make stock.I remember how lovely the shop was in past and they had plenty of stock to serve ….It has been really disappointing lately and it is going down the hill.
Mayte V — Google review
The place has just been taken over and it’s utter chaos. We’ve had issues with 3 of 4 orders placed with this shop. It’s wasted a lot of our time and money, and disappointed our guests. I don’t normally like writing bad reviews, I’d rather feed back directly, but yet again they aren’t picking up the phone.
James B — Google review
Utter rip off purchased mackerel filleted with the heads on, 9 to be precise and was charged wait for it £27. Never gonna go to this fish shop again. I can get the same from another well known fish shop for half this price. I'm wondering if it was because it was the end of the day and they just wanted to try their luck and get some extra money for the fish. I do not recommend this establishment at all.
