Absolutely incredibly meal, wonderful service and cozy atmosphere. We went on a rainy Sunday evening and were well fed and taken care of. The steak, in particular, was outstanding!

I am so happy I made a reservation in this local gastronomical gem. The welcome was warm, our table perfect and the tasting menu we took delicious. A very nice, personal detail from the chef made the evening complete. Of you want to try the local gastronomy with the local connaisseurs: this is the restaurant to go for!

I love the food in Al Coccio , wonderful Italian food elevated to new heights by a very talented chef. Service is impeccable. We have returned many times since to Al Coccio, and the food is always top-notch . The menu is always updated, and there is always a dish that will surprise and delight .

Wow! Fantastic food, very good and efficient service. We had the tasting menu which was maybe a little pricey given the average cost of food in the area but totally worth it! All dishes were amazing and we enjoyed every moment at Al Coccio. The pistachio parfait and Tiramisu were out of this world - the perfect conclusion to a memorable experience!

This is a must visit. The food was simple and healthy. Started with a mixed d salad, meat tray, and bread with local pates. The fresh made spaghetti with dried onions or ragu sauce was heavenly. Then, a simple pasta sauce with bread chunks mixed in. Mmmmmm. Dessert was a choice of many things, and the waitress made an art of it all.

Ristorante Fiorentino is one of the oldest family run restaurants and a real must visit in Sansepolcro. All the old family traditions have been kept over the years, the food is delicious and seasonal. Come for the food and stay for the dessert, which arrives on a wagon full of delight.

Wow, we had the best artichokes served 3 different ways. The presentation was beautiful, and the flavor was amazing! We also ordered fried anchovies topped with red grilled onions. I loved that the anchovies were fresh and the onions complimented them so well. We also enjoyed a delicious wild boar pasta and two glasses of wine. We finished our meal with a beautiful chocolate dessert. Cesare and Ramona, thank you both for a wonderful experience! We are looking forward to returning for another amazing meal!

L’Osteria Dei Poeti is perfect for you if you want to spend quality time and eat well. Coming here and eating their fresh fish made me fall in love with Italian food. Cesare and Ramona are excellent Chefs, but also great hosts, they will make you feel home. Shout out to Daniele who’s a great waiter too. Just go there and see by yourself, you won’t regret it.

La Ghianda is a very good restaurant serving dishes in the traditional Tuscan style. The bruschetta appetizer platter is fantastic with lots of different flavors, each one a taste sensation. The first course has several choices of pastas including gnocchi, and steaks and raw meat offerings dominate the secundi piatti list. Inexpensive and delicious litres of house wine are available, along with a limited selection of bottled offerings. Service is attentive without a feeling of being rushed. Overall, a solid part of the Sansepolcro dining scene.

I had an amazing experience at The Osteria In Aboca! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a perfect place to relax. The service was outstanding—our server was friendly and really helped us enjoy our meal. Overall, Osteria In Aboca is a fantastic restaurant with great food and service. The food at Enoteca Guidi is among the best in Sansepolcro. We have never had a dish that wasn't prepared to the highest standard of taste and presentation. We look forward to every visit.

I confess I have mixed feelings about this place. On the one hand because I arrived with a sprained ankle they were gracious to give me a room very early that was all ready, instead of the one I would have received had I arrived later in the day. I stayed cooped up of necessity for 2 days. The attitude they showed was always friendly. And the room itself was clean spacious and remodeled with remarkably modern bathroom fixtures and wonderful air conditioning that worked perfectly in 97° temperatures! Thank God! There is a restaurant associated and I ate there one night. I couldn't eat there the second night because they were closed on Wednesdays. But I must say the food was good, the wine selections were amazing, the table settings remarkable, and service was good. You could see a chef with a top hat and a sous chef with a top hat through the glass in the kitchen. On the other hand, the outside appearance is deceptive because it looks "run-down" and doesn't have much of a reception area at all; only a wide place in the hallway with a beat up desk. And perhaps most surprising of all there was no one there. There was only a small type written note that said to check in please call this number. I couldn't believe it. Maybe it's me but my first impression was pretty bad. And another matter was the breakfast. I was given a slip of paper to go around the corner for breakfast each morning. That may be because the restaurant was closed the first morning and I don't understand about the second morning. Anyway I went to the location and it was a bar and there was no explanation given as to what I was permitted to choose. I chose a pastry and a foucasio and a cappuccino. But when I asked for a small bottle of water I was told I'd have to pay for that. This is certainly different from the open buffet style breakfast at most of the locanda's where I stay. It put me off enough that I didn't even bother to go back for the second morning free breakfast. I spent two nights here and because I was pretty much laid up, it was the room that was most important. So I really can't complain. But to be honest Sansepulcro does not seem a particularly lively or attractive town. I would not choose to go back either to the town or to the Locanda Guidi.

A family owned restaurant in the heart of Sansepolcro where the father is a chef, and the siblings are foragers and sommeliers ensuring each food experience layers every detail to engage the senses. Par to none, this little book became an all time favorite (and that’s hard to say in Italy). I visited almost every week and each time I enjoyed a new delicacy that included seasonal mushrooms and truffles. The ambiance, the service and the food are all Michelin star quality.

Lovely service, beautiful food. The roast calamari was beautiful, as was the courgette soufflé side dish. The chef made a special amatriciana which was superb. Huge wine cellar running under the street. We had a delicious viognier. Highly recommended.

A dreadful experience. Service is awful, dishes brought out of order, food missing, wines not stocked, dishes no longer available after order. Total lack of customer service. My worst experience in Italy. Go elsewhere. EDIT: Further comment after the owner's (untruthful) response. Unsure how we were 'negative', we didn't complain and given the circumstances remained very calm, finished our meal and wine as it had been paid for. I guess some people just cannot accept criticism? Not sure that negates your awful service, poor stock and running out of dishes that were already ordered. I'm glad you don't want us back, there are many, many better places in Sansepolcro and I recommend more people take your advice and eat elsewhere too.

If this restaurant was in my home town in Norway it would be a definite 6 out of 5 stars... Just being difficult given all the good food one can find in Tuscany!

Good dessert, definitely a mistake fry artichokes on evo oil, since they'll becomes tasteless and bitter (overpriced too); ragu could be better. Excellent restaurant - friendly staff, terrific food, at reasonable prices. I can in particular recommend the local chianina beef - take it in medium-rare, it melts in your mouth. Best wine pairing (in my opinion) is the Vino Nobile de Montepulciano, at a very good 24 Euros per bottle (which works as least as well as the Argentinian malbecs I would usually consider otherwise). Nice grappa for afterwards is available as well - a terrific place overall, and the five stars are hence fully deserved!

Visited with a group of 19 people and we all had an amazing time. Our waitress was fantastic , she was so friendly and caring and spoke amazing English (sorry I didn't catch her name, she had purple hair). We loved the outdoor setting and everything was 10/10!

A fabulous place. The meat here is grilled on a perfect temperature so that it is slow cooked. Despite the long cooking time it maintains its rare state if one so wishes. The olive oil they served here was preserved with nitrogen and tasted as if it was pressed the day before. The flavor of everything was amazing. To top it off after you eat there is an antiques storage display attached to the restaurant which is a must to visit. Antiques can be found around the restaurant itself and are for sale too. I will definitely return for this experience.

The restaurant was officially closed but knowing we had just hiked all day on the Path of St. Francis, he opened his doors and created a fabulous dinner just for us!! It was such a treat. If you love real cheese, you cannot miss it! They make cheese with the milk produced by the goats and cow they have at the farm. There is no industrial process, just old school real cheese starting with healthy natural products and the results are amazing! Everybody at the farm was very friendly and helpful on anything we needed. Great food, clean place, and beautiful nature all around the farm.

Just the most perfect location - remote but accessible by a beautiful mountain drive, the farm is genuine entirely non touristy and full of intrepid Italians doing their weekend hikes and mountain bike trails coming for an exquisite lunch by a roaring fire. The cheese experience with Philippe started with an apology that we “had to feed the baby goats” as if this was a genuine chore for us! He and Sara his fascinating musician partner and his dad are extremely friendly, practical, matter of fact and humble about what they have produced. Philippe is a genuine artisan with making incredible cheese and dried Tuscan delicacies. The perfect place to hike to, get a bit muddy, see this real farming life but also get a beautiful meal in a genuine rustic Tuscan setting. Good for kids but this is a working farm so you expect to have to concentrate and bring wellies and wipes for their hands if you are worried about germs (I would have eaten the mud myself as it probably would have been nutritious). Our 1 1/2 year old was the happiest all holiday. We hiked back to them the following day as we missed it so much.

We had a wonderful time doing the Cheese Experience at Fattoria di Germagnano. This is a unique, one of a kind location and completely authentic Italy. The experience for our family of 4 (2 kids) included a farm tour, cheese making class and cheese tasting. We got to see goats, donkeys, cows, experience the beautiful but rugged location in the Alpe della Luna Nature Reserve and have a private cheese making class with the owners. The entire family loved every minute of it and I'd highly recommend this to anyone interested in unique, family friendly activities that showcase authentic Italian traditions.
