Cafe
Art gallery
Restaurant
Crail Harbour Gallery & Tearoom is a charming spot located in the picturesque town of Crail. It offers a delightful combination of art gallery and tearoom, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy some local artwork while sipping on a cup of tea or coffee. The tearoom provides a cozy atmosphere where visitors can indulge in delicious homemade treats such as cakes and scones.
We thoroughly enjoyed our two visits while on holiday. The food was delicious and friendly staff. Great to sit out on the terrace too. We would have loved to try a scone but service was slow after our lunch due to the place being so busy, we just left it. Maybe next time! Would recommend. Shop is lovely, lots of cute wee things. I could have spent a fortune.

The host and staff are super attentive. Our dog was welcome and even scored a treat. The bacon 🥓 😋 pancakes and maple syrup were delicious. Beautiful presentation on all food ordered. Outdoor seating is comfortable and offers a amazing sea view.

what a wonderful place! delicious treats, gorgeous art on display and we found the most wonderful souvenirs to gift to our loved ones at home. this little cafe is a must if you're in town.

We stopped at this cute little place our way around the coast and it was absolutely worth it! The staff are all super sweet and accommodating, the view is spectacular, and we had delicious scones + hot chocolate. We would love to come back and recommend this place to everyone 😍☀️

Beautiful little tea rooms in a very old building. Watch your head! There's an outdoor area and a gallery shop inside with all sorts of local goodies. We stopped here for drinks only so cannot rate the food, but the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. We had the table with the view of the sea. Staff were very friendly and menus are weighed down with painted rocks on the tables outside. It's a very cute little place!

Beautiful ciabatta with bacon and poached egg, beautiful location and view, nice tea and service. My huskies were very welcome and the fudge is delicious.

Fish & chips restaurant
Fast food restaurant
Nestled in the charming village of Crail, the Crail Fish Bar & Cafe is a delightful spot for seafood lovers. This cozy eatery offers a menu brimming with fresh, locally sourced fish and chips that are sure to tantalize your taste buds. With its inviting atmosphere and friendly service, it's an ideal place to unwind after exploring the picturesque surroundings. Whether you're looking for a quick bite or a leisurely meal, this cafe captures the essence of coastal dining in Scotland.
Fantastic chippy, battered smoked haddock was superb batter was light and crispy, chips were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside.Different class from what I’m used to if there was a chippy in heaven I might have just died 👍
Stevie D — Google review
What usually brings me to Crail is the lobster shack. I have heard so many great reviews from Fife locals about the fish here so decided to finally give it a try. I have a couple go-to fish and chip shops so I am difficult to be swayed. Well, this one didn't disappoint and now is added to my chippy rotation! The area it's hard to find a "bad" one but this place definitely pars up with the big dogs. 💪 Maybeee even teetering towards the top because I am a sucker for small family run businesses. 😉 I may be wrong, but it seems like a wholesome, family working establishment. Efficient and friendly where everyone knows their role in the processing of your order. They have a couple tables to dine in if needed. They accept card but always best to pay cash if you can, it is better for businesses. *For those gluten-free, they offer it daily!* Now, the food. Just the perfect amount of salt was added. The haddock (2 pieces) had a nice golden color. Crisp with a good thickness. (See photo) Some places seem like they flatten the fish, butterfly etc. and too much batter. This was the perfect ratio. The chips were crunchy on the outside and still fluffy inside. Fresh peeled today, not bought in. Only downside is- the onion rings are frozen. I did ask beforehand and was given honesty. It is so hard to find a chippy that does fresh because it can be a nuisance. The onions are drippy, resulting in more batter falling off in the fryers. So I can understand why. Even the most famous chippy does frozen too. 🤷‍♀️ Superseded my expectations!!! 👏

Lovely like fish bar, take away or sitting in is an option. Arrived in crail late on Saturday night and they were open until 8pm. Very busy, wait was around 30-40 minutes however a we had a nice stroll around the harbour while we waited. Food was delicious.
Nicole K — Google review
Wow! Incredible fish supper. Best I’ve had in a long time. Yes there was a long wait, however, worth every second of waiting. Can’t beat a fresh, made to order chippy. Weather was nice so went for a stroll around the harbour to take in the fantastic views.
Shad K — Google review
Was fancying fish and chips but on a solo trip with the dog so needed somewhere i could pop in and not queue for ages. Driving through Crail the parking space was free outside. Super friendly staff, relaxed and lovely place, would have sat in if i hadn’t had the dog. Food served freshly cooked, some of the best chips i’ve ever had and haddock was stunning, even though i’m usually used to cod being from Northumberland, i may be a convert. Can’t fault the place, and very reasonably priced too.
Dan H — Google review
Hot, fresh, speedy, reasonably priced (compared to others in area). But best of all, very friendly, welcoming staff! 🤍 Preferred these by far, than one of the popular Anstruther fish bars, that took absolutely ages to serve, with smaller portions and slightly over done fish!. Well done guys! 🐟🍟
Suzy H — Google review
Second visit to this delightful fish and chip shop. Absolutely fantastic. Great food and service. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I’d recommend.

It's going to be number 501 review of Crail Fish and chips and it has to be 5 stars. Had four fish suppers and everyone loved it. Thank you for a delicious meal.

The Golf Hotel is a charming accommodation housed in a historic 16th-century building. The hotel features comfortable rooms, a welcoming restaurant, and a cozy bar for guests to unwind. Additionally, the hotel's restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with a menu that includes seafood and British cuisine. Only went in for a bite to eat. Lovely location, great eating area. Great staff and service. Didn't wait long for our food. The soup and toasted sandwich combo was delicious. Will definitely be back to check out the other classics on the menu.

Had an evening meal here - not busy on a weekday evening in Feb. They have a small cosy bar with a woodburning stove, and a separate restaurant. Good quality pub food at reasonable prices, generous portions. Friendly staff.
Ros R — Google review
We came in a bit bedraggled-looking from a long walk, and were treated like royalty here! Wonderful service, accommodating of dietary requirements, and tasty food. Best bean burger of my life!
Ruth G — Google review
We called in for a few beers after a long walk with the dogs and were made really welcome. Good crowd of locals in who made us welcome and fussed the dogs. Service was spot on and it was great to sit in a proper, proper, proper pub with a great pint and great atmosphere. Dog friendly too.
Tom S — Google review
We've had an amazing experience at the Bar under the Golf Hotel. Tash is possibly one of the best bartenders I've met in my 10 years of world travels. If you're looking for the local spot, this is it. If you fancy a quality experience with an excellent atmosphere, this is it. You need to ask for a "Dirty Tash," if you're interested in exploring a local drink. We'll be back for sure!
Alexander J — Google review
Great food. Didn't try all of the menu but the seafood platter and the smoked haddock fishcakes special were delicious
Frances R — Google review
We popped in for a drink after a walk around Crail. Old fashioned bar area. Seats were a wee bit uncomfortable so you couldn't spend long there. Ok for a swift one.

We didn't stay here only stopped for lunch, prices reasonable and the wine measures 👌🏽🥴😆

Coffee shop
Cafe
Takeout Restaurant
Nosebag Scotland is a charming spot to grab a bite in Elie. Visitors praise the friendly staff and reasonable prices, making it a preferable choice over other local establishments. The cafe offers delicious sandwiches, soup, and hot beverages with a picturesque view of the sea. It's also known for serving great coffee, which can be hard to find in the area. Despite getting busy at times, the quality of food and drinks makes it worth seeking out by the harbor.
Absolutely THE BEST coffee in Elie. Very tasty bacon rolls and crispy cake to die for. And you couldn’t get a better location. The staff are spot on and so so friendly 👍
Bobby C — Google review
Amazing beautiful café. Visiting Crail yesterday to collect something and happened to park next to the Nook, so went in for a cuppae... Gorgeous wee café! We had tea and coffee, a scone and pumpkin soup... Sat and admired the decor, the quirks, even the tabletops were stunning! Maps on the walls. I can't speak for the pumpkin soup, which was demolished before I could be offered any 🙄🤣 but the scone was delicious, and was also demolished before I could offer any 🤷🏻😂 Highly recommend Thank you so much for a great break in our day. Loved it, and hopefully we'll be back!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A proper Crail favourite! The Nook Café is lovely — always welcoming tasty food and great coffee. The team couldn’t be friendlier. It’s the perfect stop after a walk round the harbour or along the coastal path. Lucky to have it right here in Crail!
Tomme — Google review
We decided to sit & eat here rather than the local pub as the prices there were outrageous. Here, we had a tasty cheese & chutney sarnie, soup with a chunk of bloomer bread & tea & coffee. The staff behind the counter were very friendly & you can sit & eat your lunch looking out to sea. The prices were very reasonable too. Thanks.
Julie H — Google review
Most amazing breakfast-delicious toasted granola, coconut yoghurt, fruit, coffee, fab hot chocolate & (less healthy but yummy) square sausage in a roll. Just delicious!
Mhairi M — Google review
Now called 'Nook' and located in Crail next to the butcher. We found this wee gem on our 2nd day while staying in Crail and we can't recommend enough. The coffee is beautiful and the best bacon rolls I have ever tried needless to say we went back the following morning for breakfast. Owner and staff welcoming and chatty. Loved the elephant teapot! You won't be disappointed....a definite visit when your next in Crail!

Walk 2 miles today just go find the cafe not open at 4pm it said online closes at 5 wasted my time looking for something to eat
Craig M — Google review
Quite a long walk to find out it was the salty dog, then the nose bag which has closed permanently.
