Back Home Restaurant is located in a historic home dating back to 1872 and offers classic comfort food. The restaurant also features crafts for sale, adding to its cozy and welcoming atmosphere. It's a great place to enjoy familiar and satisfying dishes while surrounded by the charm of an old home.
Dad got the open faced pot roast, Mama got the grilled chicken salad and the babies got chicken tenders. This hit the spot for local fare! Such a sweet atmosphere and great service. Dining with three kiddos is overwhelming sometimes but we are respectful, they made us feel right at home!

Saw a few social media reviews and decided to give back home another try. It has been at least 6 years since we had eaten here and we found the experience very average....hence the 6 year hiatus. Well let's just say we were underwhelmed with everything. We were seated in a crowded area (even after requesting a different table and were told this was the only available table and there were 15 open tables we walked past) our food was ok. I had the hot brown and added side of pinto beans 🫘. The hot brown was above average the beans were good too. Solid B. My wife has the meatloaf, hashbrown 🥔 🧀 casserole, broccoli 🥦 🧀 casserole and a bowl of green beans 🫛. All of her sides were cold. The flavor was lacking seasoning. We finished the meal with the peach cobbler and ice cream which was solid another B. Overall I would give the food a big fat C. Mid to mediocre at best.

***8 month Follow-Up - 7/4/2025*** This place is still amazing and still serving up great meals at a good price. I loved this place. One of the top spots for good southern home cooking. I will definitely check this place out again the next time I am in town. Amazing food and great atmosphere with the best mash potatoes I think I’ve ever had.

I stumbled across this gem when I was looking for a restaurant in the heart of E-town. I wanted something local with a 'home cooked' style. Let me tell you, this place was fantastic! The fried green tomatoes were some of the best I've tried to date. There was a crispy crunchy crust with a delicate soft center. Perfect combination to go with the spectacular sauce they serve alongside the tomatoes. I'd dine there again for those alone. The real star of the show was the Hot brown! Let me tell you about that! I've tried the original and some of the most popular places for hot browns and none can beat Back Home restaurant. I'm not kidding. The mornay sauce was perfection. Some places make it too salty or too bland. This one was perfect 👌. The crispy bacon, the toast wasn't soggy, the carved turkey was tender and moist. No turkey lunch meat here. If you're looking for a new place to try in a beautiful small town, Come here. It was my first time and it won't be the last. I can still still taste those amazing tomatoes and the delicious hot brown! My son loved his meal too. The meatloaf and carrots were to die for.

Back Home Restaurant offers a delightful taste of Kentucky with their flavorful dishes. Very happy we made a stop here. The service was impeccable, adding to the overall dining experience. The honey chicken Mac and cheese was a standout dish, perfectly blending sweet and savory flavors. Loved the green fried tomatoes! The cozy atmosphere made it a memorable dining destination for my family. Highly recommended for anyone craving comforting Southern cuisine with a touch of excellence.

Our second visit a year apart. Lovely atmosphere. Average service. Food was huge disappointment. Toughest biscuits ever and southern fried steak a frozen premade patty. Very semi-homemade and not quality at all. Cutting many corners with their quality and preparation. The food definitely does not live up to the lovely and charming atmosphere.

Delicious food and true Southern hospitality! Back Home Restaurant is one of those places that always makes you feel welcome the moment you walk in. The staff is so friendly, and the food tastes like a home cooked meal made with love. Everything I’ve tried over the years has been fresh and full of flavor, the kind of comfort food that keeps you coming back! The atmosphere is cozy, and the gift shop upstairs is such a charming bonus. Whether you’re local or just passing through, this is a must try spot in Elizabethtown!

Was on a road trip from Arkansas to Cleveland with my boyfriend and we decided to stopped at this restaurant for brunch. I was really impressed by the flavor of everything. Food was great, plenty and tasty. The staff is amazing and the owner or manager even stop by our table to say hello. I wish we had a place like this in the east coast. Price is fair for the size of portions.

Nestled in a charming historic building, The Wicked Eyed Woman Public House offers a delightful dining experience that blends the best of English and Southern pub cuisine. This quirky eatery, steeped in local lore as a former house of ill repute, has been beautifully restored to showcase its vintage charm while providing a cozy atmosphere for guests. Diners can savor traditional British fare infused with Southern flavors, all crafted from seasonal ingredients sourced locally whenever possible.
Really enjoyed the food, service, and atmosphere. Their homemade fries and chips were delicious and we loved their wicked sauce! Our server was very nice and the food came out quickly. They have games you can grab and play while you wait like cards or connect 4. We will definitely go back here the next time we are in Etown.

The WEW is a great little restaurant downtown just off the square. The decor and atmosphere is cozy, and the staff that I met were top-notch. The food was good, but the meal was not perfect. I ordered a burger with an egg on it plus lettuce, tomato, and mayo. The burger with the egg was wrapped tightly in wax paper and sat down in a basket on its edge. When I attempted to unwrap it to put the toppings on it, I found that the egg and cheese had run to the bottom of the wax paper pocket. This was an absolute mess! I used a pile of napkins because the burger was a slimy mess (see the picture). This really put a damper on an otherwise excellent experience. If it were not for this and a lack of seasoning on the burger, it would have been a five-star visit. I conveyed my concern to my server, I only hope that he passed it on to the kitchen staff. If they had applied the toppings before wrapping the burger this may not have happened... If they had just laid the burger flat on a plate it definitely wouldn't have happened. Sometimes being artsy or trendy is not the way to go. I almost forgot, the entrees are only served after 5:00 pm! I went specifically wanting a hot brown, but it's not available for lunch - sandwiches only. Kernel rated: 4/🍗🍗🍗🍗🍗

Fantastic location in downtown Elizabethtown! The interior exudes speakeasy vibes, adding charm to the experience. While the whiskey pours were a tad light, the drinks were still enjoyable. The food was delicious overall, though the sandwich could've used a bit more meat. Nonetheless, the ambiance and flavors make it worth a visit. A gem for those seeking a cozy spot with good eats and drinks!
Chris L — Google review
I loved the eclectic decor in this restaurant! It was so fitting of an historic building with old frames, windows and doors making up the interior walls. The food was outstanding! I had the crab sandwich which had a hearty amount of delicious crab in a light dressing with tomato on a perfectly soft-on-the-inside and crunchy-on-the-outside bun. The dragon balls are a must try as the fried mashed potatoes in a crunchy coating were an unexpected melt-in-your mouth delight. I chose bread pudding for dessert and it came swimming in a Carmel sauce that was a perfect complement to the warm cinnamon bread. We had 6 people for lunch with two appetizers, an order of homemade chips, 5 sandwiches, homemade chips, 2 desserts, 2 cokes, 2 beers and a mixed drink and our bill was $123 before tip. Well worth the visit.

An absolutely amazing surprise. Traveling by and stopped in on a totally random visit, and I am so glad we did. They were still serving dinner at 930pm. The portions were large and the down home cooking style hit the spot when we needed it the most. It was refreshing to see a made from scratch kitchen that truly had flare and didn't just fry everything. Wide variety of food options on the menu that made me even more impressed with how fast the food came out. They had live music by a musician with the last name Mudd who was actually pretty talented as well. All of this while still keeping the small town feel when we noticed there was a baby in the bar. Kentucky is wild like that but it just adds to the feeling you can't get many other places. The scotch eggs are amazing. P.s. I dont support babies in bars. It was just what I saw.

My boyfriend asked me if I wanted to try the Wicked Eyed Woman for lunch. His assistant was going to pick it up. I have heard great things so I was on board. I am a foodie, and had a hard time deciding what I wanted. Several things looked, and sounded appealing. I always read reviews, and look at photos posted by patrons of their meal. They say they make things from scratch (sauces, dressings, etc.), use local fresh ingredients, and more. All I can say is 🤬🤬🤬TOATAL DISAPPOINTMENT🤬🤬🤬. I ordered the fish and chips with what is described as creamy slaw, and I switched the chips for roasted veggies. I wanted onion rings, but they were out. The fish pieces were tiny, soggy, and absolutely no flavor, slaw was anything but creamy, super soggy, my roasted veggies was unseasoned potatoes with one sliced carrot, the portions were not as advertised, and the two sauces were unseasoned. My boyfriend the wonderful guy that he is gave me half of his brisket melt (he didn't want it), and what looks like to be almost his whole order of chips. That is unusual for him to have that much leftover. When I bit into the melt, and the chips I understood why. Chips are supposed to be crispy not mushy, and the brisket was well let's just say a premade frozen precooked brisket from Walmart is better. It didn't even taste or look like brisket. Honestly no flavor. I called and asked for the owner. She is actually the one that answered the call, but screened my call first before acknowledging she was infact, Deborah, the owner. Her screening and response only made the experience worse. She asked me what I wanted her to do about it. This was ordered and picked up on a lunch break. It really wasn't an option to go back and pick up a replacement. Although that wasn't even offered. I also have no reason to believe that it would have been any better. Her response after that wound up being she would talk to her staff about it. Then along pause of dead silence. To which my response was basically thanks for nothing and have a great day. Very poor customer service, management, and food. Money doesn't grow on trees, and I don't mind spending money on good quality. I also like to support local independent businesses. I have no intention of ever going back, and would really just like to get a refund. The owner had no intention of offering me to come back and get a replacement, a gift card to return to the restaurant for a better experience, or a partial or full refund. I have worked in the restaurant, and small local business industry. In a managerial position. When you have a customer with a poor experience your concern should be to get them back in the business, and to make up for that bad experience. Nothing of the sort was even hinted to. 🤬🤬🤬EPIC FAILURE🤬🤬🤬 Attached are pics. The 1st pic is what I based my choice off of (posted on their pics/reviews). The following pics are what I received. You can see how small the portions are if you compare the sizes of the containers to the size of the standard 2 oz sauce containers. The slaw was literally 3 bites. It appeared to be a 3 oz container. Mostly liquid. The fish is on a 8" plate, and there is also a close up to try and show the lack of crust/crunch.

Wandered in here while walking around, and I’m glad we did. The bartender took care of our table, and he provided excellent service. He made an old fashioned with a lavender bourbon, and my friend really enjoyed it. The scotch eggs were tasty, but maybe a touch over cooked. The dragon balls were delicious, and I would definitely order them again. For mains, we had fish tacos with chips and fries. The fish tacos were good, but could use a sauce to bring it all together. The chips and fries were both very well made! I will definitely be back next time I pass through.

My wife and I was looking for a cozy neighborhood place to get something to eat while in Etown. Staff was friendly and food was reasonably good. Would recommend since it's so close to I-65 and the cluster of hotels if you're passing through the area.

Namaste Indian Cuisine & Bar is a charming restaurant that offers a relaxed atmosphere and traditional North Indian dishes. The locally owned eatery provides an unassuming venue with vibrant-colored walls, making it the perfect place to enjoy a bowl of flavorful Indian curry. With over thirty years of experience, Namaste is known for serving some of the finest and freshest meals in Elizabethtown, KY.
I had a great experience at this place. The food was flavorful, and they really listened when I asked for a milder spice level. However, the rice wasn’t as fresh as I’d hoped. Despite that, the overall meal was enjoyable, and the service was excellent. Definitely worth a visit.
Pegah S — Google review
Namaste what can I say? I visited me with this restaurant for the first time with high hopes of Great Indian cuisine. Instead I left there hungry disappointed and wanting to take a shower. The server was a very polite man but not in a hurry in any way that was perhaps the best part of her dinner. The dishes were much less than what we were expecting we asked for medium heat but yet it was very mild and not much flavor. The naan bread was the highlight of the evening. Our crab cakes came they looked beautiful., but were cold as ice the server returned them to the kitchen for them to make new. But the new ones came in the same condition as the first so we boxed them up in hopes that we can eat them later at home but upon heating them and trying them we realize they were absent of crab mostly breading, and falling apart So , the reason for my shower statement is I went to the men's facility it was very dirty and unkept. There was no soap for washing the hands, and no paper towels for drying. I wish them well in the future and hope that these small discrepancies are corrected. But for the price I paid for unpleasant evening I don't see myself returning to this establishment in the near future.

I ordered the Chicken Tikka and was not impressed….at all…..The chicken was way too chewy! Coming from someone who has eaten some of the best local Indian food cuisines. Do not come here. You will be let down.

I was in search of vegan food. They did not disappoint. The server gladly pointed out my options on the menu when I told him I had a dairy allergy. Even provided a Roti option with no butter. The food was great. The portions lasted me 2 days. The tables are huge. All the tables in the restaurant easily fit six people. Great for groups. I dined solo and still had a great experience. They also sell a lot of the items and ingredients that they use. All on display there in the restaurant. It was pretty cool to take a look at all of the Indian bowls and serving dishes.
Syleethia H — Google review
Recommendation Namaste when you're looking for some good Indian food. The Tikka Masala I tried was decently spiced. I especially enjoyed the commitment to making good rice. Portions were modest, and presentation was standard. The staff were professional and informative. The ambiance was cozy and during this visit the cultural show made for some good conversation. It felt like a great place for casual dinner.
Dan C — Google review
Everyone in our party of four loved their meal. Three of us had curry namaste, two chicken and one shrimp. The mild was perfect. The fourth person had the lamb shank and declared it excellent. The rosemary naan was great too.
Li L — Google review
Service was so so. Food was below average and very bland. Portion sizes were small Vegetable pakoras were very oily Looked burnt
Chitra S — Google review
Do yourself a favor and do exactly what I’m going to do now.. I’m going to dine in, and then immediately ask for boxes because I definitely remember a week ago ordering the same things, and it being way better quality/quantity sitting at one of those tables than what I’m looking at as a “To Go” order. Keep up the consistency? Or I will legit make my own restaurant to compete yours.

Love this place and always eat there when in Elizabethtown. Wish I lived closer. Their egg drop soup is unlike any I have had anywhere else. Very filling, very good. Not just broth and eggs, it has chicken and veggies in it. The dumplings are my favorite though. Yum!

Never have I enjoyed a restaurant this much! This place is worthy of being referred to as a dining experience!!! The staff was so friendly and helpful! The ramen, soups, rice, appetizers, and literally everything was so good, we will be regulars from now on because WOW👏

Highly recommend! We walked in and the staff was so warm amd welcoming and even pulled the chair out for my mother that is frail. They were sooooo kind and they were soooo friendly. The food was fresh, flavorful and sooooo delicious. It was served fast and pricing was good. We will definitely be back!

The owner and management are super sweet and makes me feel welcomed. Before I even got to the door one of the employees opened the door for me and my family. And when I got in the restaurant the owner met me and sat me and my family down at a table. The food was also really good and I had probably some of the best Ramen I have ever ate before. And the restaurant fits the atmosphere of the restaurant. This is one of and might be my favorite restaurant. I would definitely eat here again.

Barbecue restaurant
Mark's Feed Store is a local chain that has been serving up BBQ, fish, comfort sides, and desserts since 1988. With six locations across Kentucky, it prides itself on being the best barbecue in Louisville. The owner, Mark Erwin, learned the art of barbecuing from experts in western Kentucky before opening his own restaurant. The restaurant offers catering services and gift cards and uses only the finest quality chicken, brisket, and pork.
I stumbled upon this BBQ joint much by chance, and I'm glad I did. The first night, I just got an order to go, but on the 2nd night, I actually sat down and enjoyed what they had to offer, and I was not disappointed! The service was fast and friendly, the food is AMAZING!! and the environment is great. Not too loud, not too quiet... it was perfect for a good BBQ joint. The deep fried corn and sweet potato fries with all the toppings we're a must when it came to trying something I hadn't had before. I definitely recommend you stop in here, bring the family and enjoy some great local BBQ!

The food was outstanding. Great tasting barbecue sauce. The onion straws and the sauce were absolutely amazing. The brisket was delicious. The buttermilk pie was superb, a treat I had never had before. It was so sweet and so delicious. Everything was so full of flavor & the waitress, Tiffany was very attentive and made sure our glasses were always full. We also met the manager Rayshawn. He checked on how we were enjoying everything & was very kind. The atmosphere was great, we will definitely be back.

A local chain that offers BBQ,fish and chicken along with various side dishes and desserts. We were seated immediately and our server was super friendly and efficient. We went for dinner and split the Combo Rib dinner with 2 sides. The ribs were delicious. Also tried their pulled pork, brisket and Honey wings. For our sides we had the red potato salad and sweet Fried corn on the cob. Everything was amazing. They have 6 locations in the Louisville area.
John M — Google review
The atmosphere was great. The service was great and the food was good. I will plan on being back. They have a really good assortment of lunch specials and Monday through Wednesday they offer other specials like an included dessert or discount ribs. The sweet potato fries are unique in they taste like a dessert churro in flavor with dusted sugar and cinnamon. The red potato salad is one of the most popular sides. The spicy fries are essentially Cajun fries and they had extra shaker of seasoning on the table. The mac and cheese is not my personal favorite but some of the kids loved it. The cheeseburger was also a hit with the family. My overall favorite was the fried pickles and I would come again just for the appetizer.
N N — Google review
Best place in town to get you some overcooked, dried out, and zero-flavor Brisket!! Almost like it had been smoked for 48 hours. Not to mention the waitress couldn't get the check right. I have never had bad food at any location besides this one.
Paula B — Google review
Quick, friendly service and delicious food in a casual atmosphere. Food is served in plastic baskets or on trays. I got a pulled pork plate with a baked sweet potato and traded the Texas toast for a cornbread muffin for an extra 75 cents. The muffin was delicious but kind of small for the upcharge. I like the original BBQ sauce with a mustard base; it reminds me of the southern BBQ from my childhood.
Becky M — Google review
Oh my goodness! This place is amazing. I was in town for a graduation at Ft Knox and came here with my family. The ribs were divine- fall off the bone juicy heaven. And the sides- holy moly! The pasta salad, coleslaw and baked beans were so so good. If you are local- you are lucky to have such an amazing restaurant. If you’re coming in from out of town you are in for a glorious treat!
ELizabeth S — Google review
The food was amazing and my server was amazing. However, there was a server there that made me very uncomfortable. She was skinny, blonde, and in her mid forties. As I was eating, I over heard her spewing all this hate about gays and that we'd all be going to hell. It just made me so uncomfortable. I'm a gay person and am married. Yet I still go to church every Sunday. For her to be spewing all this and saying that they need to find God, she needs to look into her heart and realize that she isn't a good person. I will not be coming back.

Bub's Cafe is a beloved family-owned establishment in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, known for its warm and inviting diner-like atmosphere. This charming spot serves up hearty American comfort food that locals can't resist, making it a go-to destination for breakfast and lunch. Guests can indulge in classic dishes like country-fried steak with eggs or fluffy pancakes, all prepared with a homestyle touch.
Delicious food, very homey flavors, very friendly staff, prices are very reasonable Try this place. It has been a while since I had breakfast this good.

We found Bub's Cafe while traveling and looking for a "breakfast near me" restaurant after we missed an exit to where we originally planned to go. We barely made it in time for breakfast (which stops at 11:00) and were quickly served our drinks and the food came soon after. The decor is a bit outdated, but the food was delicious! The bacon was cooked perfectly (for me) crispy, the eggs were not overcooked, the pancakes were just like I like them (with crispy edges), and the coffee was nice and hot. We are regularly traveling through Elizabethtown, KY and definitely plan to stop in here again.

My wife had a ham and cheese omelette i had a Denver omelette neither had very much in it(literally just a few pieces of diced ham). Biscuit was hard gravy not good at all. Home style fries absolutely no flavor and hash browns were so over cooked it was all solid crispy like you expect the outside. And they charge to use a card.
Robert T — Google review
Nice breakfast stop. Would appreciate it if they carried Tabasco as a condiment, but otherwise no complaints.

Amazing! Moving back from Europe and I find this diamond in the rough! There's nothing like an amazing mom/pop business that's ran tje right way! This a classic little café, with great food and staff. You definitely get the home town feel, upon entrance. They have their regulars and stragglers like myself that pops up. I still have to try lunch, as recommended by one of the server's! 🫡

Fast forward a year later to 11/29/23 My opinion hasn’t changed, this place is still great, I’ve been here many times and I have never left disappointed. My only complaint would be that when I retire I’ll have to drive further to get here. And with all the price hikes Bub’s has stayed reasonable and affordable. Breakfast below in photographs for under $10.00. Can’t beat it! OMG THE BACON! I’d probably come here and just order a plate of bacon! If you are a bacon lover and haven’t eaten here, you’re going to hate yourself for not coming sooner. Your tongue will jump out and slap your face for waiting until now! Seriously, very clean, excellent food, extremely polite and attentive staff. They know their customers by name. I missed places like this. 4/18/2024 I hate that you can only leave one review. One of the biggest things I will hate about retiring in July is not being able to get here as much. If I lived closer I’d never leave here. Before I do retire I’m going to find out where they get their bacon! The fact that this place is always busy is a testament to the quality of service and food. But the staff here manages to stay on top of everything. Very prompt, polite, and professional service. The food is always amazing, and as busy as it is there is always a relaxing, “welcome home” environment. It’s like Cheers, but for breakfast.

The food was mediocre at best. The biscuits were hard, pancakes were underdone, and the bacon was raw. My daughter had to send her food back because there was a hair in it and no one addressed the issue. The servers are overran with tables because there are only two in the building, so good luck getting any refills. Our server took our order and brought out our food. She did not make any table visits in between or after. If you're going to own a restaurant known for their breakfast you should at least have good biscuits and refill your guests coffee.

Texas Roadhouse is a lively steakhouse chain known for its American cuisine with a Southwestern twist, set amidst Texas-themed decor. The restaurant offers hand-cut steaks, fall-off-the-bone ribs, made-from-scratch sides, and fresh-baked bread. With branches across the country, it's a popular spot to enjoy classic American dishes in a relaxed atmosphere. The Elizabethtown location is praised for its friendly servers and delicious food.
I was traveling alone and came to this Elizabethtown location. My server was Sadie.... She was AMAZING! She was polite and friendly, checked in on me often, but not too frequently as to disrupt my meal. She gave me multiple options when asked what was good, spanning many varieties. She was prompt with service. The food was delicious and came to me hot, and my booth space was clean, even the floor. Will definitely return when traveling!!

Typical busy place but staff work hard to get people seated quickly. Server was great and very friendly. Great personality for such a busy place. Manager greeted table and assisted with a small issue. Food was great tasting as expected. Steak was cooked as ordered, very tender and not over seasoned. Potatoes did come out cold but staff quickly got a fresh dish and reserved new potatoes. Aside from that environment was friendly and as clean as a good steak house should be. Definitely a good one here in Elizabethtown

Passing through town in our RV, stopped by for supper. Everything was seasoned and cooked exactly right. Our waitress never missed anything she was on top of everything, I should have gotten her name. I honestly can’t think of a single thing I could complain about. I wish every restaurant was this good.

My server, Avery was awesome! I ordered the prime rib medium rare. The kitchen manager, Dillon came out to check and make sure that I was OK with the fact that it was a little bit later in the night and he wasn’t sure if the meat would be to my satisfaction. They go the extra mile to have a great dining experience. And the prime rib came out excellent. The picture shows that I had to taste it first to be sure, so I ate a little bit before I posted. And the chili was excellent as well.

EDITING MY REVIEW FOR A BETTER 5 STAR- Eric, my waiter, was absolutely amazing and on point. I dont come here often but he still recognized me from one of my previous visits which is really nice to know. He was quick and straight to the point and fast. I ordered the Bone-In Ribeye, which was cooked perfectly (as usual when I come to Texas Roadhouse. The beer was definitely refreshing. The bread was perfectly warm. The music was at a perfect volume. I cant recommend this restaurant enough. If you're curious about what its like, definitely come here. This is (in my opinion) the premier of Texas Roadhouses.

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store is a well-known chain restaurant that offers classic American comfort food and features an on-site general store. Over the years, it has evolved into a full-fledged restaurant serving delicious family recipes. The menu includes favorites like fried green tomatoes and flavored iced tea, while the general store offers a variety of items such as homemade candies, Candleberry Candles, and home decor.
I stop here for lunch yesterday for my father we are a big fan of Cracker Barrel and always order the NY strip . But yesterday strip was hard the meat quality was very poor. The waiter submit a request to cook another steak for us and the man in charge came to see us supposedly to cook another steak but we ended up leaving since we sat for about 20 minutes plus and the new steak never came to our table. Cracker Barrel please by high quality meats!!

Good clean restaurant with delicious food as expected. Hash brown casserole was over cooked with hard spots to eat. Service was not bad, servers were present and very friendly. The food I had ordered was very good and worth the trip.

Regular Cracker Barrel right off of I65 in ElizabethTown. Good breakfast food. Pancakes, biscuit and gravy, and cornbread are excellent. Grilled chicken tenders were also good.

Cracker Barrel restaurants all over have been going down hill ever since they introduced alcohol to the menu, offending their largest groups of customers: Christians and older folks looking for the last family restaurant that isn't a sell out to the drunken crowd. Also food portions have gotten smaller and the quality of the food has also become disappointing. I wouldn't be surprised if they disappeared entirely in the next few years. We used to frequent these places monthly, but now maybe once or twice a year and always disappointed. This time our waitress was extremely friendly and pleasant. But when we ordered, she apologetically told us they were out of what we wanted to order (at 5pm) and she didn't like serving the dinner crowd because this happens regularly. That's really sad! And it has been the same during our last 3 visits at different locations even in different states. My biscuits arrived and we did a double take wondering if they really were biscuits due to their appearance. And the campfire chicken was WAY overcooked. I truly hope this review finds it's way to corporate so someone can quickly turn around this sinking ship that was once an American establishment that was always packed with a waiting list, because they are now becoming a ghost town.

My family and I had the most wonderful experience here. After driving 11hrs with 2 small kids we were greeted with the biggest smile and warmest heart. Our server miss Linda Rose turned our entire day around. She greeted the kids first and made them feel important. She is so kind extremely helpful and an overall genuine amazing human being. Her kindness is above all else. If you ever have the privallege to have her as your server you won’t be disappointed!!! 10/10 will come back. Linda Rose is best one they got hands down!!

Cracker Barrel used to be one of my favorite places to eat. Not anymore. By city ham was burnt, yes burnt, my scrambled eggs weren’t even scrambled eggs. They were a folded egg with a piece of Colby cheese stuck in between it, and the harrows casserole was the worst! Huge disappointment. Total waste of my money. I didn’t enjoy anything at all.

Jerry Reed at Cracker Barrel gave us an amazing experience! From the moment we sat down, he was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. Our food came out quickly and was delicious, just as we'd hoped. But what really made the meal special was Jerry's attentiveness. He was always there when we needed something, refilling drinks and checking in with a warm smile, without ever being intrusive. It's clear he loves his job, and it truly made our visit to Cracker Barrel one of the best we've ever had. We'll definitely be asking for Jerry Reed on our next trip!

Homely place with super nice staff. They have a gift store with an eclectic range of things worth rootling through. The restaurant is really popular and good hearty food. I went for breakfast and was not able to eat a lot in terms of gluten free, but oh boy! I had a double portion of fried apples and vanilla ice cream and would get that any time of day it was delicious, autumn spiced comfort food. Go just for that! They have an allergy menu which is helpful. The staff were really nice. My friend had an interesting sounding meal, a French Toast apple strudel bake with cream cheese. A seasonal special. And that was just breakfast! Delicious!

My family and I dined in today 4/9/25 and this was the worst experience we’ve had. We come in about 2-3 times a week and it’s always been phenomenal. It took about 15 minutes for us to get our drinks, then another 15 minutes for us to get refills. The croissants were brought out hard as a rock not once but twice. One got cheese fries, which had to be taken back 2 different times because first the cheese wasn’t right then when they were brought back out there was hair in it. We told the GM and he took it back to get it remade. Another got the country fried chicken with fries & mashed potatoes. When it was brought out the fries and mashed potatoes was the size of a kids meal sides. The bread wasn’t even toasted and the fries were also cold. The third person with us got the shrimp Alfredo which was very oily and the shrimp still had the tales on them. I got the chicken tenders with double fries. The fries were ice cold and the chicken wasn’t that great either. I don’t know what was going on with the kitchen crew today but something needs to be done because after today we will not be back for awhile.
Makayla M — Google review
I took my mother to lunch there, because we have had a good experience and good food there before. That was not the case this time. We ordered Fish and Chips and Iced tea. The fish was as expected. Not great, but nothing to complain about. Same goes for the Tea. The fries were an abomination. I can only imagine they were precooked frozen for too long then warmed before serving. They were dehydrated and hollow there was only a trace of potato inside of a shell. They did not taste very good at all. It didn't help that we found hair mixed in as well. We dined outside because it was a beautiful day. The atmosphere was generally good, though the umbrella on our table was in disrepair and ther was a dead tree in the landscape next to our table. It is going to take some time before the memory of this experience fades and I come back. Hopefully this was an anomaly and not a trend. I can't recommend Cheddar's at this time at least not the store in Elizabethtown.

Sigh. Food wasn't what I ordered. It was really bland. I ordered blackened salmon, it wasn't so they took it back to the kitchen and returned the same salmon, now with the blackened spice on it... that's Not how blackened works. 🙄 Some of the broccoli on my plate was brown. My server was friendly, and she tried to make it right.

The food was just awful. The meatloaf was burned and incredibly dry and the scoop of mashed potatoes was cold. I asked for more gravy as there wasn't any to speak of on the plate. It didn't help. We had a lovely waitress though. Celeste was her name. Extremely good service on her part. But the food is so awful that I just can't see a reason why I would go back.

Good reliable diverse American food menu. Very reasonable prices. I had a grilled chicken and shrimp dish that was cooked well and flavorful. But the chicken breasts were very small. My son had the large chicken tender meal and they were great big sized tenders. Better than most other restaurants these days that are cutting back on sizes. Sat in the bar area and had good service.

If you're in Elizabethtown, KY, and craving authentic Chinese cuisine, look no further than Green Bamboo Chinese Restaurant. This charming eatery offers a delightful array of familiar dishes like fried rice and Mongolian beef, all served in a relaxed atmosphere that feels both upscale and homey. The menu features flavorful options perfect for a sit-down meal, with highlights including the visually appealing pork egg Foo young and the soothing hot sour soup—ideal for clearing sinuses on chilly days.
This restaurant has been in business for over 40 years, and continues to be one of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve ever eaten at! It’s been the better part of 20 years since I last dined here, but the food is still every bit as tasty and well-prepared as it has ever been. Portions are very generous, especially when you take pricing into account. The staff, as always, are attentive and timely. This is the place to go!

Sadly they do not have family meal option on the menu any more 😢😢😢 but our most recent Meal was excellent 👍 👍 👍 👍 we enjoyed the Mongolian beef meal and the Mandarin Chicken meal with fried rice. Service and food were excellent We ordered the family dinner . Picked 2 entrees....Mongolian beef spicey, sesame chicken spicy. The meal was served with Soup, Egg Roll, 4 chicken wings and fried rice. Every thing was excellent . Our bill totaled $35 with tip. Great food and service but a little pricey.

1/31/25 update. Wow this place went down hill slowly. Food quality is crap little flavor and uncooked egg rolls. We will no longer return here.. Wonton soup was a joke, but everything else was great. Our guy waiter was very good, looks like he was having back troubles. Be careful man. I recommend this place.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 2/5 - Pork Lo Mein and Assorted Fried Rice. The salt level is unbearable! Both dishes looked and smelled so good but when we actually started eating it, it was insanely salty. The pork in the lo mein was covered in a corn starch and fried but got really soggy because of the noodles. The rice was soy sauce soaked and then salt was added to it so we couldn't finish the dish based on taste. Service: 4/5 - the lady was insistent that we wanted lo mein and not chow mein and we just gave in and got the lo mein. Ambiance: n/a - ordered food to go. Value for price: 3/5 - the serving size was decent but it was so salty we couldn't really enjoy the food.

Meh. Definitely not the best Chinese food I've ever had. If you are ordering takeout then they charge you for the crispy noodles for your soup, even though when you dine in you can get unlimited crispy noodles. And then, they don't put sauces in the bag for you, so make sure you ask for them or you will be driving back up there to get them while your food sits at home getting cold. The Wonton Soup Is not great, and the sauce for the sweet and sour chicken is just weird, not normal. And then one time, I stood at the counter for 2 or 3 minutes waiting for service while a worker sat at the desk behind the counter just carrying on about her business without addressing me at all, which I thought was just very poor customer service.

Green Bamboo is a great, one of the best, Chinese restaurants in the local area. The setting is nice, with great service, and wonderful selection of menu items. Depending on the time/day you go, you can choose to order off the menu or buffet. Their prices are very reasonable and the serving portions are good. They've been in business for quite a while for a reason. My first time there was in the 80's and the food is still great!

White Castle is a popular fast-food chain known for its signature beef, chicken, and fish sliders, as well as extras like onion rings. Located in Elizabethtown, it's a go-to spot for Southern classics with consistently flavorful lunch and dinner options. Despite some sticky floors, the service is top-notch with friendly and pleasant young employees providing fast and efficient service. Families can enjoy a nice meal together at this location where the food is always hot, fresh, and served correctly.
Food is always good. My complaint is the time it takes in the drive through. I guess thats expected when they're making a boat ton or tiny sandwiches per order. If you want a quick experience get it door dashed. Otherwise the food is always what you expect.
William B — Google review
The food was good but my fries were not hot. 96% of the dining room area is/was dirty. The floor was so sticky. I literally went to my vehicle to get a Clorox wipe just so I could clean my table. Managers should also walk the floor. A fast food restaurant should always have an associate/ employee checking the dining room. It reflects the manager on duty. I literally made my husband stay around for over 40 minutes just to see if any employee would come out from behind the counter to do a lobby check.
Julie D — Google review
Hadn't been in a very long time. The food was actually very good. The staff was very friendly but the wait time was extreme. I understand busy times and that help is hard to come by but having to wait 20+ minutes just to order was a bit much. Food was prepared quickly though and accurately. Drink machine was out of stock on several drinks and for some reason spewed soda out the side of the dispenser but not every time (I helped another patron operate the machine, it shot out with her drink and dribbled out with mine. I got a refill and it shot out again but for others they didn't seem to have any issues).

I grew up eating Krystal sliders. Never figured there was a difference, only the name, so I bought some frozen White Castles a while back and was relatively pleased with them, so when I got the chance to visit a restaurant, I jumped at it. My first order, my friends and I split a 10 pack, of which I ate half. Lemme tell you, the frozen store bought a DO NOT compare. These were slightly crisped patties. Two layers, where the frozen only has one thicker patty, to keep from getting freezer burnt, I assume. The onions were perfectly grilled and just caramelized enough to enhance their flavor without losing texture. The buns were hot like fresh rolls, with a thin crust surrounding the soft inner goodness. The cheese was just melted enough to be soft and gooey without making a drippy mess. I liked them so much, I ordered a thirty pack on the way back from my trip, at 4am. I was driving, or I could have eaten half of them at once. Instead, I shared them with friends once I got back, and told them the tale of the 100-pack that I plan to go eat in one sitting next time I go. Gonna fast for two days so I can inhale them all at once. Even at 4am, I got a laugh from the girl serving us when I told her I was gonna eat 100 White Castles at one time, and then she whispered, "Wait. Do you really want a hundred of them?", but I told her I wouldn't do that so early in the morning with no warning, when there were only two girls working. I have no doubt if I'd said yes that she would have gotten started on them, but I'm not heartless. Totally worth the visit, and they've made a White Castle lover for life. Now I know why they made movies about them.
Nøt S — Google review
I spent 40$ on cheese burgers and double cheese burgers and a large fry. I went in to ensure I got hot food. But, no. Every burger was so cold , the cheese did not melt. And the fries were just as cold. So, my 40$ meal was ruined. I feel cheated. The dining room, where I was waiting for my cold food to be prepared, was so cold, you really need a jacket. The service of the employees...one dude was making burgers but not boxing them up. Just letting them sit to get cold. The attitudes were extremely unfriendly and cold as their burgers and fries. And everybody knows cold fries from white castle taste terrible. I am so disappointed because I was so hungry and could only eat soft foods as I had dental surgery 2 days ago. I was really hoping to be able to eat a hot and steamy white castle burger . Instead , my 40$ was wasted and im still hungry. My hunger turned into hangry!

Probably the slowest fast food experience of my entire life. I pulled into the drive thru 30 minutes ago and I still don't have food. When I got to the window, they immediately said, "can you hold?" I said yes. (They had obviously also asked this of everyone ahead of me, as I watched them just sit there staring at the speaker.) 6 minutes later, no one had said anything. I finally said "hello?" And the guy goes "yeah, what do you want?" I ordered and got asked to pull up. I've been pulled up for about 15 minutes. It's nearly midnight and there's basically no one in the restaurant. This wait is completely insane.

I ordered my food through the mobile app. The time of order to be ready was 4:35 pm. It is now 5:03 and I’m still in drive through with still 3 cars ahead of me. I haven’t moved in the past 20 minutes. I would have already left if I didn’t pay for my food through the mobile app. I will never return to this White Castle again. I wouldn’t be surprised if they dont screw up my order that’s more than likely going to take another 20 minutes to get which will probably be cold by then. This is the worst fast food I’ve EVER experienced. They call it fast food for a reason. Time I excited this recipe is 5:15 and still 2 cars in front of me. Just wow.

The Original Impellizzeri's is a local pizzeria chain that offers a relaxed setting to enjoy classic Italian-American cuisine. Established in 1968, it has become known for its Louisville-Style Pizza and other Italian dishes made with the freshest ingredients. In addition to pies, they also serve pasta, subs, beer, and wine. If you're looking for a delicious meal that captures the essence of Italian-American cuisine, The Original Impellizzeri's is the place to be.
When traveling we always like to try local foods This small pizza chain is known for their "Louisville Style Pizza." Two layers of toppings and two layers of cheese. This location is located in the 1907 Stewart Opry House which is listed on the National Registry of Historic places. We were seated immediately and our server was very good. They have a large selection of draft beers as well as craft cocktails and over 80 bourbons. We started with an order of their jumbo wings with a Woodford Glaze sauce. Unique and delicious. My wife had a small mushroom gluten free pizza and I had a small sausage pizza. The sausage is homemade and served crumbled which I was not a fan of. The pizza tho was very good with a thicker crust. If the weather is nice they open up 5 garage doors for Al Frasco dining. Great location for families or to watch sports events. Street parking is available.

Cool vibe…slow service…ok food. This place is situated next to the old town square that’s been restored in a cool old building. Love the atmosphere. Too bad the food and service didn’t keep up. The food was a mixed bag. The stuffed mushrooms were incredible. They had a lot of tasty sausage and plenty of cheese. My chicken parm was tasty and I’d get it again but small The cheese bread and garlic bread were both very good. The pizza was lame😞 (I know I’m a NY pizza snob but I’ve had better frozen). And the service was slow

Not a bad pizza and pasta place. Prices are good, a 14" will run you about $15. Good quality food. I ordered a beer cheese appetizer and a spicy luau. Both dishes came at the same time. Beer cheese was pretty darn good. Pizza was great! A typical refurbished old building with a bar and eating space. Best part is the "Get Smart" phone booth.

My my my, this pizzeria is a definite destination when visiting this little hamlet, Elizabethtown, just off I65 in north central KY. Nice laid back vibe, extraordinary service and the pizza and such is simply amazing. The Cheesey sticks to start off with was hot, fresh and the cheese was melt in your mouth delicious. Next came the two pizzas. One veggie and one with all the meats. Not disappointed with either one. Again, hot, fresh, did I say loaded? Get you game on, these babies were piled high with oh-my-goodness toppings! Service, definitely top shelf, quick, efficient, friendly, yeah baby! Clean, absolutely! Do yourself and the crew a favor and make it an Impellizzeri evening.

What a fun pizza place. The menu has several already made pizza creations. They have personal 10' pizzas, salad choices, and custom created pizzas. The atmosphere is amazing. There's a bar with a nice seating area and another dining area away from the bar. The servers and bar tender was friendly. The food was delicious and filling. I would recommend visiting here. The building is set in downtown Elizabeth town. It's such a cute little area. When in town again, I will be back to visit. ***update: I went back, the service was still great. Great food and lots of fun with a large group. Loved it.

Impellizzeri’s was a decent pizza spot that I tried while in Elizabethtown. I ordered a large pepperoni and mushroom and it came out hot with a generous amount of cheese and sauce underneath. The pepperonis were a nice size and they did not skimp on them either but the mushrooms were not the size I preferred personally. The mushrooms were the lightly shaven kind that I believe should not even count as a topping but it was still a good tasting pie. The taste of the other toppings made up for the lack of size of the mushrooms so all in all I do not regret my decision of going there and ordering. Even though I had a take out order the atmosphere seemed like a fun environment that I would have loved to be in and the other Italian food they were serving looked delicious too. I think the next I give them a try I’d get the pizza (minus the mushrooms) as an appetizer and order entree instead.

Excellent service and such a nice place. Crispy wings, we took Buffalo sauce on the side. Great combo. The salad was nice and fresh with tons of walnuts and cranberries on the top. Lastly, the pizza — top notch. We ordered custom with chicken and caramelized peppers and onions. Yummy and gourmet. Thank you chef. Our server was amazing and accommodated every request. The old fashioned cocktail was good too.

I stopped in Elizabethtown for work and saw this restaurant across from my hotel. I decided to swing by for a bite to eat and a drink. My Old Fashioned was great, but the Green Chili Chicken pizza (recommend by my AMAZING server Treston G) was the definition of perfection. I will absolutely be returning should I find myself in the area again. 10/10 recommend

The welcoming atmosphere makes it an ideal spot to start your day or catch up with friends. Visitors can also explore the nearby Swanky Shoppe boutique for unique finds.
I recently visited Vibe Coffee for the first time, and it was a delightful experience. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with a cozy atmosphere that makes it perfect for relaxing or working. The coffee was fantastic. The staff was friendly and attentive. I HIGHLY recommend this place!

Everytime I’ve come here I’m not super impressed with the food or the coffee. Today though I said let me give it another go. I ordered avocado toast and I expected it to look like the below picture if you’re offering it with shoots on top. The saddest toast I’ve ever seen came out with 2-3 leafless shoots per side. It’s an embarrassment to this menu. Ambiance is nice, coffee is decent but the food, not worth the time or money.

Stopped here on a whim and everything was SO good! We ended up ordering more to go! The maple scones in particular were 10/10! Acai also 10/10! The coffee too! Will be back on our next trip through the area.

Really cute place. It’s way bigger inside than it looks outside. I got the raspberry white mocha latte and it was FABULOUS! So was the butter cake (we thought the sign said”butler cake,” and when we asked for a slice of butler cake, the barista was very confused 😂 It was funny. Highly recommend this place it is better and less expensive than Starbucks. Very clean too with a nice bathroom :)

Ordered takeout on 8/19/25 at prime time. Pretty disappointed with the food flavors, quality and serving size and probably won’t be back as there are plenty of better alternatives around. The rolls were pretty flavorless and their specialty rolls were the size of something you’d see at Chinese buffets. Their rice also appeared old and mushed together and the ratio of rice to other ingredients was 60:40 with rice being the 60; again, the kind of quality you’d expect from Chinese buffet sushi rolls.

Sim Sushi is a great little Asian restaurant located off Ring Rd in Elizabethtown. The atmosphere is very nice and the restaurant is clean. Of the menu items we tried, we particularly enjoyed their appetizers and sushi. Their menu is very similar to Sakura 17, Ginza, and Kansai, although prices are a little better. One thing that really stood out was the great service, most probably the best we've experienced at any restaurant locally. Overall, we enjoyed the restaurant very much and will surely go back to try other menu items.

If you're on the lookout for a laid-back dining experience, McAlister's Deli is a must-visit spot that truly shines in Elizabethtown. This delightful counter-service chain specializes in an array of handcrafted sandwiches, stuffed baked potatoes, and fresh salads, all complemented by their signature sweet tea that keeps patrons coming back for more. The inviting atmosphere and well-maintained facilities create a relaxed environment perfect for families or anyone looking to enjoy a meal without fuss.
Stopped into this little gem while on a visit to Kentucky. The portions are huge (check out the size of the baked potato in pic) and ready pretty quickly. The cranberry orange club is spectacular. The place was clean and well maintained and had extremely friendly staff who were eager to make your visit special. Wish I was local...this would be a favorite
Kristelle S — Google review
The staff is very friendly, the food is very good. It's a calm and nice restaurant to have a good sandwich.
Miran ( — Google review
I normally eat lunch at this McAlister's at least once every other week and have for the last 3 years. I'm used to them being efficient, with good quality and we'll prepared food, friendly faces and a focus of getting people in and out of there during the lunch hour. That's a great time to visit them, during the week during lunch hour cuz they are on fire. But whatever you do, stay away from them on a Saturday night. The workers are a bunch of lacking motivation Gen Z'ers, they have no sense of urgency, no concern about customer satisfaction and no concern about quality of service, food or atmosphere. This is the most disappointed I've ever been in McAlister's. Not only did they get every aspect of our order wrong including all the modifiers, but also all the side items. I asked for potato salad with my sandwich and it was not packed in the to go bag. My wife ordered the Southwest Salad and asked for no chips and no cheese and instead they gave her chips and cheese and no chicken. The portions of avocado and lettuce were much smaller than normal. Look at the photo below. On top of that, the order sat up on the counter ready to go for almost 3 minutes before somebody decided to take care of it and call our name. I've been dealing with my McAlister's for so many years I know what they're about so it's really hard to blame the company for this experience. But they hired this crew and they need to be better trained and make sure they understand that the customer is the priority, not their tasks and their gossip and being on their phones. Would recommend anytime but a Saturday night
Todd A — Google review
Been here a bunch of times, always good. Service is great even when they are very busy. It's fast, and good sandwiches. I get French dips, and a few other options and have always been good. The sides of potato salad, Mac and cheese, cucumber salad, has always been good. Great place to go for a fast sandwich that is good. Definitely not the cheapest but it's worth getting food you can eat and enjoy.

Food is amazing here personally the smoky pepper jack turkey sandwich is my favorite definitely recommend! Staff is friendly except a certain person named Josh. Went in this week with my kids and he just had a rude comment about my kids never had this happen to me and never thought it would happen to me sadly it did. Hopefully something gets done with this certain person and his unnecessary comments! Shouldn’t be working outside with customers if he has a negative attitude. Everyone else thank you for your excellent service and food ! :)

This review is to commend Julia who works at the McAlister’s on Dixie Hwy, Elizabethtown who, in my opinion, is a definite asset to the McAlister’s organization. I was not going to ever patronize McAlister’s again because of my experience until Julia went above and beyond and turned my experience into a positive one. Long story short, my online delivery order that should have taken no more than 40 minutes was delayed by more than an hour. I wasn’t sure if it was McAlister’s or the delivery service at fault. I called McAlister’s for an update on my order and Julia answered. She told me my order had not been received but she would look into it and call me back. By the time we finally talked almost another hour had passed. Julia then took the time to take my order and said she would deliver it personally, and she did. Now that’s customer service. I’ll be back!

Curbside pickup was fast and once we pulled in the manager came out to check our name and greet us. The King Club was a HUGE amount of food and delicious! Potatoe Salad and nachos were also what I expected from McAlister's. The kids got their pizzas for $3.50 a piece with a side of fruit which is a great price. Will definitely be back.

As much as i love mcallisters recently when i’ve gotten a salad the lettuce has been soggy or slightly browning, there has never been enough dressing as well, making it taste like plain lettuce. Now the chicken caesar wrap it tends to be pretty inconsistent on the quality of the wrap itself, loose and causing all the food in it to fall as soon as you pick it up. as far as customer service there’s nothing here to complain about. all the employees are kind and helpful and seem to know what they’re doing.

Wonderful place for our lunch after a day of shopping. The atmosphere was perfect for us to enjoy our cocktails while catching up with each other. No one had to raise their voice. Service was awesome. We never once had to ask for anything, and the food was delicious. One of our parties tried a vegetarian burger, which was sent back due to a lack of flavor, but outside of that, everything was perfect. Parking was located around the town square and nearby parking lots. Less than a 5 minute walk. This is more of a restaurant setting, so it would also be ok for kids.

We were in town for a visit from Arizona and JR Neighbor popped up as a suggestion. Wow was it good! I had the buffalo burger and fried green tomatoes. Both amazing! Service was great, super friendly and timely, and the vibe in there is just awesome.

Excellent first time lunch visit to J.R. Neighbors. Our server, Eddie, was exceptional. He even recommended the Eattown Hot Chicken sandwich with tots and a side of pimento cheese for me. Great choice, Eddie! I also had a 1996 Rickhouse Rita that was very tasty. My husband ordered the Newberry double smash burger with fries. He enjoyed a Buffalo Trace followed by a Johnny Drum, both on the rocks. Thanks to everyone at J.R. Neighbors for a delightful time!

Nestled in Elizabethtown, Little Charlie's Pizza is a charming local eatery that brings the essence of New York-style pizza right to your plate. With its cozy red-walled dining room, this mom-and-pop establishment is run by Charlie Messina, a seasoned pizzeria owner with roots in New York since 1976.
Margherita Pizza was delicious! I also got a slice of pepperoni pizza but it was too greasy for me to finish 😭 I also got their spaghetti with meat sauce and it was very delicious! All the food was too good to finish, will definitely fill you up after two slices haha! I very recommend this place, it's very chill and has really good pizza to offer!
Seianna — Google review
New to the E-town, I've heard how good Little Charlie's was. So I had to try and ordered a Meat Lovers Pizza for delivery via Slice app, and it was as advertised, delicious!!!! Well, unfortunately, that wasn't the end of the story, though...... Their pizza was so good that I automatically assumed everything else must be good, too..... NOT!!! I tried their Italian Sandwich for $13, and it was subpar at best: the bread and cheese were decent but the meat layers were so thin you couldn't taste meats at all; it was like a cheese sandwich with lettuce and onions only!!!! Hmmmmm, then I realized 😳 it's still my fault; stick with pizza at a pizza joint!!!! Pizza- definitely 5-star; Italian Sub Sandwich- only 2-star.
Charlie Y — Google review
Our second time eating here. First time was great; pizza is awesome. Todays visit not so good. Ordered sandwiches; cheesesteak and Parmesan chicken. Cheesesteak had raw onions and cold, sliced tomatoes on it as I opted for no Mayo and lettuce. Very bland and needed cooked onions and bell peppers on it. Chicken Parmesan has a sweet marinara sauce on it and no flavor and not hot. Will def go back for pizza as it’s really really good.
Terri S — Google review
My daughter and I get takeout from here fairly regularly. I like that I can get her a single cheese slice and not a whole pizza. I get a gluten-free meat lover's. Their fries are also delicious. Every time we've been, we call ahead, and the pizza is ready. The staff is always friendly and helpful. There's not a ton of seating, so it's often full during busy times.
Kaycee S — Google review
We ordered from Little Charlie’s Pizza while staying at Bourbon Springs RV Resort near Elizabeth, KY. As most-time RVers traveling the U.S. and Canada in search of the best cheeseburgers and pizza, we rate every stop using our Dawg Haus Scale: The Best (only one earns this), Very Good, Good, OK, and Not Impressed. With a 4.7 Google rating and “Best in Kentucky” in the title, we decided to give them a try. We ordered a Little Charlie Special and a Hawaiian, and both arrived on time, piping hot, with hand-tossed crust and plenty of toppings. The Little Charlie Special came close to our current top slice from Piezon’s in Fulton, MS (our only The Best), and the Hawaiian was really good as well. Overall, Little Charlie’s is the best pizza we’ve had so far in Kentucky and earned a Very Good on our Dawg Haus Scale.

I've known the place existed for awhile but just never went till this past Saturday about lunch. Every single food item behind the glass looked absolutely delicious. Guy behind the counter was amazing explaining what everything was. We got the Jack Black stromboli and a salad. The guy gave us a few garlic knots since it was our first time there. I love they let you get your own refills. I do want to come back and get a more traditional flavor pizza but from the looks of everything Im betting it will be amazing. I think this might turn into our go to over Impellezeris or Boombozz.

Located in downtown Elizabethtown, Bourbon Barrel Tavern is a must-visit for bourbon enthusiasts. With an impressive collection of over 400 bourbons, around 30 craft beers, and a great selection of wines, this tavern offers a delightful experience for spirit connoisseurs. Live music nights on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays add to the vibrant atmosphere.
Located in downtown Elizabethtown, this bar is know for their extensive bourbon collection. They have over 400 bourbons plus craft beers, cocktails and live music. Located in a 1887 building, the bar is split into 2 sections. One area is the main bar with seating and the other section offers a small stage with live music and seating. There are no food options but plenty of bourbons to try! I tried an 18 yr old Knob Creek that was one of their drink specials for only 9.00. My wife had an Old Fashion. In my opinion, this is your best option while visiting Elizabethtown to try bourbons at a good price in a historic setting.

We had a great experience here. Feels super local and the crowd is down to earth. There was live music in the other room. They had quite a few beers on tap when we were there...check out the menu on the chalkboard. Then there was a spirits menu with 150 options and some flights. But the bartender said that really was a very partial list and that they had about 600 options on the wall. We tried whistle pig 6 yr, the Eagle Rare 10 yr, Old Scout 13 yr, and the 1792 full proof. I had the Fat Tire beer. Note: the “tall” is a bigger size ;) I would highly recommend this place!

Texas Outlaw Barbeque is a popular spot known for its award-winning ribs and perfectly cooked steak. Despite being close to a hotel, it exceeded expectations with its delicious food and reasonable prices. The waitstaff, despite being short-staffed, provided excellent service. Many customers were seen ordering the fantastic ribs, and the overall experience left visitors wanting to return in the future due to its great-tasting BBQ.
The best BBQ I've had. I was staying at the hotel right by here and passed it on my way in. Thought it sounded great but being so close to a hotel I'm always suspicious because you know places like these pop up to cater to (read scam) tourists. Happy to say this was the opposite. The "award-winning" ribs were delicious! I couldn't get enough of my sides. And the steak was cooked to perfection. The portions were big enough to take some home (half a steak, 2 ribs, and a few bits of each side) and the whole thing was just over $20. Are you kidding?! There was a long wait due to staffing, seemed to be only 1 girl running the entire front of house for a while, then there were 2 either one was in break or just started a shift...but it was WELL worth the wait. My only negative is I believe I was supposed to get dinner rolls and they were never offered or stopped off (and I didn't order any apps) so I was a bit disappointed because they mentioned then being hand-made in the menu making me expect something delicious like the Roadhouse honey butter rolls. Still I may literally make the trip back here every year for this alone.
Christopher ( — Google review
So this is my second time ever eating here, but this is my first time dining in and let me say this is probably the worst experience I have ever had as far as dining in So I was with five other people we arrived and was seated, but it took 45 minutes to receive our food. There was only one waitress that was serving everyone, but there was only four tables occupied out of the whole establishment waitress was too busy flirting with the other two come over and take our order , but anyway, I ordered the steak and rib combo which the food wasn’t that bad I’ve had better and my sides were collard greens and barbecue beans there was also a cornbread muffin that came with the meal, but it tasted dry The collard greens tasted like it was loaded up with a bunch of vinegar and strangely enough it taste like there was vinegar in the barbecue beans, but it could’ve been the barbecue sauce that was used also the soda tasted kind of flat and I only had one refill for that time. I was there again. The waitress was off flirting with the other table behind us. I guess if I was in a pinch, I would order takeout, but as far as having choices, I would never come back to this restaurant again or refer anyone to this restaurant

After a flight and drive to meet friends in KY, we were tired and hungry. The Outlaw was a block away so decided to try it. Should have had some caution because (a) their sign had half the neon out and (b) only two cars in lot on a Saturday night. We were seated right away and given menus . My wife asked for water and lemon. I told the waitress I wanted a big glass of sweet tea. Lol. She brought a glass and a pitcher of tea! We decided to split the rib, pork, brisket and chicken combo. My wife chose a loaded baked potato and I the BBQ as sides. I wanted to upgrade fries to onion rings but those were off the menu. I walked around taking pics and noted dozens of trophies on display for BBQ. That made me feel better about coming. Our meals came surprisingly fast. Unfortunately that was also a bad sign. The combo plate came with their own BBQ sauce slathered over everything, no option for anything different. The meal was all barely warm, not hot enough to melt the butter on the potato or cornbread. Oh, we asked for bread and we’re told they had no bread or rolls? Normally I prefer pulled pork and my wife chicken, not this time. Not a fan of the pork or brisket, I tried a riblet. It was horrible. Not only cold but very tough. Couldn’t cut it with a knife, and hard to bite off the bone. Almost like it had been cooked and sat for awhile. My wife said the brisket was fair but didn’t like the pork or chicken and her riblet was too tough to eat. I thought the chicken was fair and ate that, trying to wipe off the sauce. Not sure if they will be in business long if ours was an indication of the food. The trophies must have been another generation? Also noted as we left that their tall sign, to be visible from the Interstate, was off. The only reason for one star for the great server and great tea.

Although short-staffed (delays in service) our waitstaff (Tarin) was wonderful and catered to us. She didn't let the circumstances spoil her awesome personality. That said, the food was great! Will definitely make a future trip back here. There's a reason it's among the best-tasting BBQ nationally!

We arrived at 6:45 & was told take 15 minutes to be served. At 7 pm the over worked nice young waitress took our order. There were 5 tables ahead of us. Our food finally arrived at 8:15 pm cold.

Great service, we came on a holiday off peak after lunch so they were courteously in transition. Amazing ribs. Good potato salad and green beans! Definitely worth the drive if you're around Fort Knox.

I get the impression they're going under. Dead parking lot, the letters in their sign 80% burned out...waiting ten minutes to be acknowledged (there is a note of being understaffed), went to order an appetizer and six of them were unavailable, no croutons, premeasured ketchup, A1, dressing, she counted the straws, and definitely no free bread or rolls! But, the loaded BBQ potato was good no less, clean, nice people.

Delicious drinks and the garden bar was great. Andrea was a great and attentive server. Very considerate and thoughtful to her guests.

I had the New Orleans Seafood but not the Cajun. Because of dietary needs, I asked if I could have the dinner without the spicy seasoning. The request was honored, and I was VERY pleased with my meal. The tilapia and shrimp were prepared perfectly. The seasoning on the zucchini was very tasty and well-prepared. Salad bar is not included with a meal but it can be affected for $5.99. The server seldom came to my table (it was not busy), but my needs were met. The server did not ask if I wanted dessert. I was there mid-afternoon, and there were two other tables with guests. Some of the workers were sitting at a booth and not working. This was not impressive. Overall, I enjoyed my meal.

Absolutely outstanding experience! From the moment we walked in, with a party of 9 the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff was incredibly friendly specially our waiter Micheal and waitress Katrina and attentive! Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor — you can really tell they use fresh, high-quality ingredients. Whether you’re coming for a casual night out or a special occasion, this place never disappoints. Highly recommend — definitely a new favorite!

Love Ruby Tuesdays! Very hard to find a salad bar these days so I always know I can come to Ruby's to get a great one. The service was excellent. Very friendly. Our server checked on us frequently to make sure we were doing okay. Large selection of food so everyone can get what they're in the mood for.

So welcoming, friendly staff and exceptional service. The restaurant was clean and tidy. The salad bar is so fresh and stocked. Heaven took great care of us and made the experience even better. So polite and helpful, just that extra touch that makes you want to return again and again. Looking forward to coming back.

First time trying, was so excited but ended up being so disappointed! Server had 2 other tables besides ours and still couldnt be bothered to refill our drinks, the crispy chicken in the entree I ordered was burnt, and it was a weird process when we paid with cash. However the Manager that brought out our food was friendly and refilled our drinks and the hubbys steak was FANTASTIC!

Stephanie is amazing! Fun and friendly ❤️ we came in for dinner and was immediately greeted and sat. Stephanie was patient and kind. She paid special attention to our son and even told him to be good to us- his parents, when we were leaving. The restaurant was clean, the salad bar looked good. We had a great meal and excellent service. Thank you for creating an inviting, family friendly atmosphere!

Shoney's is a beloved family-friendly chain that captures the essence of an all-American diner, serving up hearty meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If you find yourself in the Southern U.S., make sure to stop by this iconic eatery! Their breakfast bar is a standout feature, offering a delightful array of options that will transport you back in time with its nostalgic charm.
We stopped at Shoney’s in Elizabethtown, KY for a late breakfast while traveling and were truly blown away by the service and leadership. Maria, our waitress, went above and beyond—welcoming us with genuine warmth, anticipating our needs, and treating us like longtime regulars. Amanda came out during the breakfast-to-lunch buffet transition and thoughtfully evaluated which items were working and which ones needed improvement—not just for that day, but with a clear long-term mindset. She discussed rotating certain dishes through future ordering to better reflect what the local community enjoys. Her attention to quality, guest satisfaction, and overall improvement is something most guests would miss—but we happened to witness it firsthand. That kind of care and initiative is rare in chain restaurants like this. Amanda should absolutely be in management—or at the very least, strongly considered for a raise based on the dedication she displays. Just before leaving, we noticed a special wall dedicated to supporting the military. It honored Mr. Dennon, an Army Veteran and long-time loyal customer who had recently passed. His usual table was surrounded by military memorabilia, creating a heartfelt tribute that says so much about the kind of community Shoney’s serves—and how they serve it. I tend to leave very high or very low reviews—because excellence deserves to be celebrated and avoidable issues need to be called out so improvements can happen. In this case, Shoney’s exceeded expectations in every way. We left full, happy, and genuinely moved. The rest of the restaurants on our trip have some big shoes (and bellies!) to fill!

Shoney's, the great American eatery found in the Southern U.S. Every time we go down south we're sure to stop and get a bite to eat! Nice selection of food, great breakfast buffet or dinner buffet, plus their desserts are awesome too! My only knock on Shoney's is sometimes it's a little dirty and sometimes the other customer can be loud or unruly. Don't let this deter you from enjoying Shoney's though, these minor problems won't ruin your dining experience. Next time your visiting the Southern U.S. be sure to try Shoney's!!

Went here because the cracker barrel was on a wait on Sunday afternoon. Was pleasantly surprised by the fried fish and the mashed potatoes and gravy. Unfortunately the rice pilaf was dried out and crunchy, and the chicken breast in the mushroom Swiss chicken was weirdly springy.

Haven't been to a Shoney's in 25 years. Haven't even seen many stores open as a majority seemed to have closed 15 years ago. Anyway, was cruising down 65 and decided to stop into this location for a lunch. Parking was plentiful. Really no complaints here. Service from Jessica was outstanding. An appetizer, 2 desserts, 2 drinks and 2 dinner buffets came in at $75 once tax and tip were added in. Dining room and restrooms were clean. Good music from the 60/70/80s played in the back ground. In hindsight, we probably would not have ordered the dinner buffet @ $14.99 each. Never fill like we eat enough to justify the price, and the food on it is good but in typical "buffet" fashion, it isn't outstanding. Still, would not have a problem going back here. The Hot Fudge Cake and the Skillet Choco Chip cookie with caramel sauce are highly recommended. See picture!

There's always hot freash food and Shoney's breakfast buffet is hard to beat. It was extremely busy one morning and they ran out of bacon. The waitress went in the kitchen and got 5 pieces for me. That was awesome and no one's ever done that! I was just letting them know. Totally surprised she did that. I can't remember her name but there's some awesome people that work there!
Jerome W — Google review
As I entered I was seated pretty quickly. However I have some mobility difficulties and before I could say I would like to sit closer to the breakfast buffet I was seated the furthest away. When the waitress got to the table to assist in taking my order I felt bad for asking to leaving her table and sit closer to the buffet. Stephanie who ended up being my waitress was very kind, courteous and attentive. The breakfast was pretty good all in all but the sausage gravy was too salty and the grits were very bland. I would recommend the French toast, bacon, scrambled eggs, and hash brown casserole.

Absolutely the best breakfast bar and country dinner bar I've had in years. If you are within distance of here, it is Absolutely worth the trip. We stopped in on a Sunday after visiting Mammoth cave and Lincolns birthplace. I was transported back decades to honest good food and sounds and service. I was shocked when at 1130 they started flipping half the breakfast bar to a country dinner the likes I haven't seen in 25 years. Green beans, mash potatoes, corns, brown gravy, fried chicken, Mac n cheese... If we lived within 45 mins, we'd probably be here every other Sunday. Plus they have suckers when you leave!

I got the Cali Skillet to go. Was super excited because the picture looked delicious. However when I got back to my hotel, less than.5 miles away. It looked like someone threw up in my food. Not to mention the sour cream and avocado were missing.

Do not stop here if you are traveling like we did. It will disappoint you if you’re wanting that Denny’s diner food you know and love. The only picture I took was of this awful sad plate trying to pass off as French toast. My other food, biscuit and gravy and hash browns I only ate because I was that hungry. I realized I was way over charged after I left and that’s because the meal sucked so bad I just had to get out of there. It was also off putting for the ladies to talk loudly and poorly of a customer over a Door dash order. Do better and they probably wouldn’t have had an issue. How the locals there stand the long wait and awful food is beyond me. Our server was super sweet is the only good thing they had going for them. Keep driving people there are other places to go.

We were in KY for a wedding. I have AARP. When I saw a sign for Denny's I told my travel companions we were going because they took AARP discounts. I went there because of the AARP discount and wound up having a very pleasant experience . Our waiter was Daniel. He was excellent. Asked how everything was but didn't keep asking and hanging around like a fruitfly. I like that. He was very respectful, courteous, pleasant and attentive to our refills. He cleared the dishes we used promptly but not too soon. He even helped me up from the chair. The food was very good. It was a satisfying meal with a reasonable price. We were all very impressed with the service we received. The food was fresh, hot and very satisfying. The restaurant itself was very clean.

The food wasn't good at all. The fries are burnt and my burger was pink and falling apart. The bottom bun was soggy. I got a new burger and it was cooked this time but the fries are still burnt and the bottom bun was still soggy. There was a lot of grizzle in the burger aswell. The server was nice and immediately gave me a new burger but it still wasn't better even without the pink. Another thing is when the blender is in use it's really loud and you can't hear anything when someone talking.

Very poor service so I decided not to tip. Our waitress cheree followed my family (gf and kids) outside to my truck to ask about a tip. My girlfriend told her about the poor service and she proceeded to tell us how tipping is what's pays her bill and when I told her that her poor service would drive people not to come back she said they wouldn't want me back anyway. Im assuming not tipping... if there was decent service then a tip would have been given. Waited 10 minutes for silverware after getting our food. Drinks were left empty for times.

So the food was great as always. Not super fancy but far from bad, however, the service was absolutely the best I've received in a long time, anywhere. Always yummy! Chicken strips and their strip sauce is always a fav! Their salad with their house dressing is so so good! Love their steaks! Best loaded bacon cheese fries ever, make sure to get the Cajun ranch to dip them in! Oh and the banana pie is phenomenal!

Rafferty’s Elizabethtown. I ordered the chicken strip platter. I have been coming here for so soma y years and I always got chicken strips.. I got my plate and had chicken slithers AKA batter cause there was no chicken to it.. I barely had any and maybe a very small hand full of fries .. this plate was 18.00. I spoke with the manager who argued with me and went and got me more that looked just like what I got.. just so happens the corporate Manager was there and got better ones for me.. My waitress Becky is awesome!! She has been our waitress for all the many years we have gone there!! Manager Jason terrible people skills.. he should have just said I am sorry about that let me see what I can do instead of arguing with their customer.. that drives business away!! Photos 1 is what my plate should have looked like the other is what I got I had not touched it that is when they set it down.

I’ve always loved to dine at Rafferty’s! This was by far the worse experience I’ve encountered.. Our entire meal wasn’t even Luke warm and we were not even offered refills on our drinks! And the wait staff including the manager was occupied with watching football on the tv’s. That was uncomfortable too! At least find a better spot to goof off besides being directly in front of customers that didn’t get proper attention while dining in your restaurant!

The food was consistent with other Rafferty's we've been to. It was good. Our waiter was very polite. Zayer is worth the trip. Ask for him if you go to eat here. Also the waitress who ran my wife's phone out to us. Thank you. Overall one of the most customer friendly staffs I've seen.

The bar and the service at the bar is amazing! I just wish the kitchen could make an actual medium rare steak. All the other food comes out great, but it's a steak house. They either over cook them or the timing is off and they sit under a heat lamp so long it ends up medium well every single time.

Raffertys can’t figure out how to readjust their hours in Etown post Covid. Somehow the Lexington store figured it out, but not Elizabethtown. This store literally closes on the weekend (Friday and Saturday ) at 9pm, last call at 8:30pm. Golden Corral across the street has later hours than Raffertys. While they are ushering us out I can see old folks going into the GC to eat and hang out. Terrible.

Ginza Hibachi is a vibrant Japanese restaurant that promises an unforgettable dining experience. With its spacious layout, it features a sushi bar and offers the unique thrill of hibachi fare prepared right at your table by skilled chefs who bring a theatrical flair to their cooking. The inviting atmosphere is complemented by meticulous attention to cleanliness and design, creating a modern yet cozy setting perfect for any occasion.
If you’re looking for a dining experience that combines entertainment, delicious food, and top-notch service, this hibachi restaurant hits the mark. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the inviting atmosphere and the attention to detail that made the visit memorable. Ambiance & Cleanliness The restaurant was spotless, with a modern yet cozy design that immediately set the tone for an enjoyable evening. The hibachi tables were meticulously clean, and the open grilling stations allowed diners to watch the chefs in action while feeling confident in the restaurant’s hygiene standards. Service The staff was warm and welcoming from the start. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring drinks were refilled promptly and checking in regularly. The chef at our table was not only highly skilled but also personable and entertaining, adding a fun flair to the dining experience. Food Quality & Flavor The food was the star of the evening. The ingredients were fresh and of the highest quality, evident in every bite. The hibachi steak was tender and perfectly cooked, with a beautiful sear that locked in the flavor. The shrimp was plump and juicy, complemented by a rich garlic butter sauce, while the vegetables retained their crisp texture and natural sweetness. The fried rice was a standout, expertly prepared with just the right amount of seasoning and that signature hibachi smoky flavor. Sauces served alongside—like the tangy ginger and creamy yum-yum sauce—elevated every dish. Overall Experience What sets this restaurant apart is the combination of great food, a clean and inviting environment, and friendly, professional staff who go the extra mile to ensure guests have a wonderful time. It’s more than just a meal—it’s an experience that’s perfect for special occasions, date nights, or even a casual dinner when you want something memorable. Rating: 5/5 Would highly recommend this hibachi restaurant to anyone who enjoys flavorful food, a lively atmosphere, and excellent service.

I placed an order on the phone and was told it would be 25 mins till done. I show up and they don’t even have my order in the system. I waited and this is what I got. Don’t know why the food was cold considering it takes me 5 mins to drive there and back yet it’s not hot. barley and shrimp but all rice. The bag was also covered in sauce aswell. The rice on the sushi is soggy and looked like they rushed to get it done. They also wasn’t busy either when I came in only 2 people were eating inside and that was it. Spent over $50 at Ginza and this is what I get. Don’t eat here unless you want your food to be sloppy and cold. This is disgusting.

Biggest waste of $60 ever. Me and wife wanted to eat out and I was craving hibachi. The first two times we went it was amazing. But this time it was TRASH. The wait was an hour. And right as our cook came out me and my wife looked behind us and The Whole table… everyone left there plates full. We didn’t want to be rude and walk out but we both whispered that it’s a big sign the food is garbage. Our chef was nice but he can’t cook, OR the restaurant changed their recipe for the worst. The rice was fresh which is a RED flag(day old or should be dried out a bit), he made my steak blue rare instead of medium rare and also NO sear, everything else tasted like teriyaki sauce. Instead of seasoning anything he just soaked everything in teriyaki. Nothing had a sear so it had a weird texture. Only good thing was my sushi! Which I ate so fast I didn’t get a photo.

Food was phenomenal! Hands down genuine service. We were the only people in the restaurant at 2:22 on a Monday, and was served with excellent service. My family of 5 was well entertained. The cook was extremely kind and made everything very well. The lunch portions were beyond expectations. Everyone left full and with a take-out box. The fried rice had the perfect flavor. My son said the vegetables were his favorite out of all the hibachi restaurants we've been to. Skip shogun that place is many stars below Ginza. We will be returning very soon. Keep up the great work!

I have had high hopes for this restaurant for quite some time. Poor service and lack luster food. We were extremely unimpressed. • The service was virtually absent. I asked for a drink menu and the waitress told me it was on the website. I looked through the menus on the website and could not find it. At least have a QR Code on the menu to scan or something. She also did not ask if I wanted a drink after telling me to look online. • We waited at least 40 minutes for food. • The miso had calamari in it? But no seaweed or tofu? • His filet mignon meal was 2/3 fried rice and overcooked. They also covered at least an entire onion with the beef, making the steak meal probably 6 or 7 oz of overcooked meat. • My sushi took longer than his steak by about 10 minutes total. The sushi wasn’t good enough for what they have it priced at, and the size of the rolls are not advertised. We will not be returning.
Hannah R — Google review
After reading the negative reviews, I still decided to give Ginza a shot. The service was faster than I expected based on others feedback. 18 minutes from seating to receive the drinks (water). 32 minutes from seating to receive the food. We ordered 2 Bento Boxes, 1 Shrimp Teriyaki and 1 Chicken Teriyaki. The boxes have a LOT of food, but the problem is it is bland, flavorless and dry. I left a lot of food on my plate when I left, and the waiter gave me a box but it just isn't good enough to take with me. I'm not planning on returning.

Very good Mexican food. I've been searching for a good place since I left California, and asked the clerk at the hotel we stayed at what place she recommended and Las Chalupas was her recommendation. Stopped in for breakfast/lunch and I ordered cheese enchiladas with a Chile rellano and my son got a massively huge burrito. Everything was very tasty, the chips and salsa also hit the spot. We were sat down quickly, hostess sitting didnt really greet us or say follow me...just sat menus down on table. Waitress took a few to come by even tho there was only like 4 other tables being occupied. We got chips/salsa , chips seemed to be recycled <had bits of old harden cheese on them> and salsa was the most bland salsa ever. Food did come out pretty fast , as expected. Fajita was like every Mexican restaurant Ive been to ...chimichanga as well. Waitress never came back to ask if we wanted a refill on salsa, even tho it was bland, typically we dont have to worry about that. She was busy chatting up front and cleaning tables for nobody coming in. Finally after being finished with meal , never got asked for chips/salsa or water refills. Probably the worst Mexican restaurant Ive ever been to overall in recent years.

I'm not sure if the waitress was new or what, but we saw her twice and that was to take our order and give us our food. We didn't get checked on, asked if drinks needed refilled nor did we even receive our bill. The couple behind us in the booths had their drinks filled, take out containers given and a bill placed with them, and we shared the same waitress. After seeing the couple behind us get their bill, I watched the clock and we waited 15 minutes to see if we could spot our waitress and maybe get our bill. Never happened so we had to go up to the front and ask someone for our bill so we could pay. Food was good but we were completely forgotten about.

If you come to O'Charley's, please do yourself a favor and set in her section. You will not regret it. The food was AWESOME!!! The atmosphere was AWESOME! We are already planning our next visit. We came on Valentines Day at 5:00, in Elizabethtown. We walked right in and got seated. It took about 20-30 for someone to even come to our table. We got our drinks and ordered. Then it took 10 minutes to get rolls. Then 20 minutes to get our meal. We got a Sirloin, Baked Potatoe and Mac-n-cheese. The Sirloin was tough and Baked Potatoe tasted like it was Microwaved. Also got the Club Sandwich and Fries. The fries were too salty. I won't say it was the worst but definitely will not be back.

My brother took me here today for dinner for my Birthday. Nothing fancy just love the potato soup and spicy cheese wedges. Well our server was very slow and inattentive. my brother never got a refill on his drink. the spicy wedges was supposed to be 6, we got 4, then a few minutes later they brought us 2 more and said sorry we forgot those. I asked for my soup with no chives before the meal. Some other server brought our food and i hadn't gotten my soup. I asked for it then she brought it covered in chives. Ended up giving that to my brother and she brought me one with no chives. ALL of the food was delicious, we never saw our server again until she brought us the bill. No drink refills, no asking how our food was just ignored us til she needed our money. NOT impressed at all with the service. Thankfully the food was good and saved the experience

This is the second time I’ve eaten food here and unfortunately I don’t think I will again. The restaurant used to be better many years ago but today I had a crispy chicken salad delivered and it was mostly the white part of the salad with one bad lettuce. I couldn’t tell the croutons from the chicken it was mostly breading and it looked old as did the tomatoes and they were sliced not chopped. And definitely skimped on the eggs. It’s not worth $18.00. I’m so disappointed this evening.

Our experience at O’Charley’s in Elizabethtown was one of the most unprofessional dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. From start to finish, there were constant mistakes. My dinner was wrong more than once, and even after I paid to upgrade my side item, it never came until I finally asked about it. On top of that, the waitress told me my drink was $5, but when I went to order another, she suddenly mentioned it was actually $8. That kind of price confusion feels misleading at best. Then, when it came time to pay, she gave us the wrong amount of change. After questioning it, she admitted she wasn’t good at math and literally had to pull cash out of her own personal change purse to make it right. An apology doesn’t make up for repeated mistakes, misinformation, and unprofessional handling of payment. Between the kitchen errors, the missing side item, the drink price switch, and the awkward situation with the bill, this was an extremely frustrating experience that makes me not want to return.

Our waitress was amazing and we had great service however the food I spent $40 on was some of the worst food I’ve had at a restaurant establishment. It was giving nursing home/hospital food vibes. The meatloaf reminded me of the dog food you get out of a package with a glorified ketchup up on top. The potato soup was giving nursing home pudding vibes and tasted and looked similar to the chips and queso which doesn’t even make sense. I’ll give credit where credit is due, the smashed potatoes were really good but that’s the only thing out of everything my sister and I had ordered that was ate entirely. The rolls were also pretty good. I post this in hopes that the owner will see this and seriously reevaluate the food. This O’Charley’s location has completely gone downhill in the food department.

Sushi restaurant
Kansai Japanese Steakhouse is a vibrant dining destination in Elizabethtown, where the culinary experience comes alive with an impressive selection of sushi rolls and traditional hibachi dishes. The restaurant's colorful ambiance sets the stage for a delightful meal, complemented by expertly crafted cocktails. Whether you're indulging in fresh sushi or enjoying the theatrical flair of hibachi cooking, Kansai offers a unique blend of flavors that transports you straight to Japan.
A decent spot for Japanese dinner overall. The food starts off promising—especially the appetizers and sushi—but the experience changes once you move to the grill seating. While it’s fun to watch the chef cook right in front of you and engage in a bit of playful interaction with the food, the flavors at the grill tend to resemble more generic Asian cuisine rather than authentic Japanese. Still, it's a lively and entertaining experience.

Dressing and yum yum sauce was runny like water and tasted like straight mayonnaise. Our miso soup was very concentrated and would burn your mouth if you didn't eat the salad first. We ordered salmon and new york hibachi, 1 water, 1 sweet tea for 70$. Absolutely outrageous. We expected quality food at 29$ and $31 each plate, but instead got a handful of unseasoned veggies cut into massive chunks, 'steamed' rice because fried rice was an extra $2, and i might have gotten 1/4 of the origional steak cut which i asked for med well, some chunks were well done, a few peices were medium rare. I wouldnt come eat here again if you paid me 10mil. I can not beileve people in this area pay these prices for such BAD quality food. SO glad we did not order sushi. The only good things: Our waitress was attentive, and food came out quick.

Food was fresh and hot, but way overhyped and over priced. I paid double what i am used to. If you want great hibachi try Sakura 17 in Radcliff.

The only complaint about the service is, the seating around the grill. Everyone had a good spot except for me. I was placed on the far end of the curved table. The cook/server had to be careful not to bump into me when going in and out of the middle. Also, it felt like I had only half of a area to even have my plate. But I did insist that the area was fine, even when the server suggested that I could be placed somewhere else.

Our waitress, Vicky, was overall a very bad server. It wasnt very busy but she took a long time to get us drinks, soups and salads, and our food. Other servers had to step in and help, she ignored us most of the meal, and at the end we paid with cash and instead of giving us the proper change she shorted us by a dollar, and forgot the sauce we asked for to-go. The food was great, the other servers were great, Vicky not so much.

There is no kids menu, other than chicken nuggets and fries. If the children want hibachi you will pay the adult price and have lots of not so yummy leftovers. Waitstaff did not have clear English, so ordering and any questions may not be easy. Food arrival to the table was fast.
Sheena M — Google review
I had high hopes about this restaurant after my friends bragged on how good it was. Don't get me wrong, the food wasn't horrible, it was really overpriced for the quality and taste of the food. We all have our favorite places to eat and compare similar places to our favorites. This one didn't even come close to the flavor or quality of my favorite hibachi in Louisville. I rated this 2 out of 5 not on the food alone, like I said, it was just alright. What knocked this down from 4 to 2 start was the wait time from getting seated to our chef to actually come and cook. It literally took 55 minutes from being seated until he came and started the meal. At least he was entertaining though. Yea, I know, staffing issues. Once he started cooking NO ONE came around asking of we needed anything like, you know, more drinks. 😉 We won't be going back.

I've never been served Fish Tacos wrapped in foil before. I quickly figured out why. When I opened it, the top of the contents were partially frozen while the bottom was hot. I think they pulled yesterday's tacos from the freezer, tossed it on the grill & served it. Gross! My drink, a Paloma was delicious. My husband enjoyed his burrito. I would have given the service more stars if my server had noticed that fish tacos aren't typically served wrapped in foil and made the necessary adjustments. He was friendly, attentive & removed the tacos from my bill. The atmosphere felt a little cluttered & tight. There were plenty of TVs if you enjoy watching sports or soaps.

This was the second time eating at this restaurant. I noticed as soon as I walked into the restaurant how warm it was, I asked one of the waiters if they could please turn on the cool air...I was told no. I am disabled, on oxygen, and it's very hard to breathe in warm temperatures. We were there to celebrate my son's birthday... I ended up leaving the restaurant, I wasn't even able to eat my lunch because of how extremely warm it was. I definitely will not be returning to this restaurant during the warmer months of the year.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “A Local Treasure That’ll Win You Over Bite by Bite!” We were just looking for a good spot to grab dinner near Fort Knox and stumbled on El Tapatio—and now it’s easily one of our favorite places to eat in the area. The food, the atmosphere, the service—everything was way beyond what we expected. My wife is vegetarian and always a little cautious about where we go, but El Tapatio blew us both away. She got the veggie enchiladas and couldn’t stop raving about how flavorful and fresh everything tasted. They really know how to season their food here—nothing bland, nothing boring. And let me tell you, their flan? Next level. My wife said it’s the best she’s ever had—creamy, rich, and just the right amount of sweetness. I had the carne asada, and it came out sizzling and perfectly cooked. The portion sizes were generous without being overwhelming, and every bite was packed with flavor. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the whole place has a relaxed, homey vibe that makes you want to stay and soak it all in. Honestly, we were already talking about what we’ll order next time before we even paid the bill. If you’re anywhere near Fort Knox and love real, satisfying Mexican food—especially with great vegetarian options—do yourself a favor and check this place out. This isn’t just a restaurant, it’s the kind of spot you end up recommending to everyone you know.

Hi, i recently went to red lobster in elizabethtown, ky. Our waiter was named Jonathan and i wish that all waiters were like him. This guy was perfect. Not to aggressive and not too neglectful. I ordered the baked salmon here, and it was served raw in the middle (photo attached). I did not request it undercooked, and the deep, translucent center was clearly unsafe to eat. This was extremely off-putting and concerning from a food safety standpoint. Staff need to ensure cooked seafood is prepared to a safe temperature before serving.

Spent over 50 dollars just for 2 dinners , had it delivered food wasn’t even cooked throughout all the way . My mash potatoes tasted like they had been sitting there all day , and half of it was burnt. Ordered some biscuits as well burnt. Nasty , tasted like that were either sitting there awhile . Was even flat didn’t even have no shape to them like they always do. Of course called asked to speak to a manager , he never ever even told me his name. I told him it was so bad if I had a car I would have drove back up there for my money back. So didn’t get to have dinner. Plus no refund so money just wasted. The manager said all he could do was give me a 35 dollar gift card. And I’ll be hearing from his general manager. Left my phone number. And guess what no phone call back & also no gift card. Thanks so much for talks service. Won’t be going back !

The food is good but the service is horrible. The shear sense of entitlement of the service staff is horrible. Servers are constantly seated at tables with regular customers and other staff members while guests are left to wait by the front desk. Food always takes 20-45 minutes even if there is only 5 people in the entire place. Waited 40 minutes for a to go order that was ordered on the app when I arrived at the time the app said my food would be ready. Younger staff wears EarPods and plays on their phones in the dining room during operational hours. Management is OBVIOUSLY absent! Ownership needs entire staff turnover and staff from scratch. 14 years in the service industry and I always want to give someone the benefit of maybe it was just a bad night, but after 5 times it’s not a bad night if it’s always mediocre at best!

Had boneless wings. Blue Berry chipotle and spicy Thai. Blue Berry flavor was a bit overwhelming not in a good way. No heat and no chipotle flavor. Spicy Thai was very good. Wings were so overcooked they were stiff. None of the wings were tossed and sparsely covered. Onion rings were fantastic as were the fries. Place has a lot of potential.

The waitress was nice and brought our beers out pretty fast. The serving size was actually a lot bigger than I thought, and the pictures below do not give you a true idea of just how big the wings were or the amount of potato wedges. I missed out on the photo of the salad, but also was a good portion size. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars is because my buddy told the waitress that he wanted grilled chicken, but got fried boneless wings instead.
Chris L — Google review
First and foremost, the food was really good. The wings are huge and were very flavorful. The wings come with celery and ranch, but the amount of celery is pitiful. I paid 13 bucks for 10 wings, and it doesn't include any side, so I paid 5 more bucks for a small side of their parmesan fries. 18 bucks in total for 10 wings and a side of fries which pretty pricey if you ask me. The pretzel bites were divine! Now, as far as dining experience, the wait staff is friendly and attentive. It is a sports place, so there is sports on every one of their gazillion TVs, which doesn't bother me one bit - but it was LOUD in there. They had the TV volume up way too high, we couldn't hear the waitress, couldn't hear eachother, and my 4 year old about had a mental breakdown from overstimulation. Other that that, this place is great!

The server was realy great. She helped us create the best combos to satisfy everyone's cravings and talked about new specials. I tried the new chicken sandwich on the menu. It was little to sweet for my taste. It has a sweet and spicy/tangy flavor, just the sweeteness is bit overpowering. The slaw was good. It's a great idea of a sandwich and the play on textures are great. Next time I'll try the other versions for sure. We got the spicy fries, i recommend getting the ghost peper side. I took a big dip and yea. Loved it but it will fire you up quick. A must try if you like spicy sauces.

My family and I went here on a Saturday around 1:30 pm. It was nice without a whole lot of people. The atmosphere was light and casual. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. Several other personal were also friendly and greeted us when we got there and when we left. Since friendliness in settings such as these seem to be getting sparse and less frequent, this was a nice change. The food was good. I can't say anything that was extra special about the food, but it was hot and tasted good. I am not sure how much I would like this Olive Garden when it is busier. The tables are pretty close together and I am not fond of being so close to people while I am eating, especially. It did start getting busier until between 2:00 and 2:30 pm. It still wasn't so busy I couldn't enjoy myself. All in all, I had a nice experience while there.

We had our 6 month old and the host said they didn’t have any booths with a server and was going to put us in the bar with a half booth. They had at least 6 regular booths open. The hostess said let me go ask if a server will take you. Left us in the middle of the restaurant with other customers just staring. We left after a few minutes of standing there with our baby. What establishment do you need to go ask if someone will serve you? It was awkwardly and uncomfortable.

Food was really delicious. liked the new remodel. The chicken was great mashed potatoes was great corn was delicious. The rolls however was not as good as they use to be they have changed something with them. The butter on the buffet line had all kinds of food in it which was pretty nasty. Had to wait 15 minutes to get the chicken which was horrible javi g to wait that lomg . The guy that served us rolls did a decent job but all he did was bring rolls. the place waa a little cleaner due to the remodel then it use to be. I would definitely go back and definitely recommend. 🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨Ok so first this buffet was poorly kept. No cheese on the salad bar but parm. No cheese for the baked potatoes. Usually golden corral salad bars provide ham, bacon, chicken, shrimp. Only chicken. Alot of things weren't even refilled. The same 4 burnt fried shrimp sat there our whole 2hr sitting. My steak was over well done. Everything was BARELY WARM. As if maybe they were PRE CLOSING 3HRS EARLY. our server Hailey. Never removed any plates off our table. And I had to flag her down for more rolls. No refills were given. Also she did come to our table to let us know she was leaving or going home early. And switched servers. Tht server [red head] never even came to our table. Which is y I cant provide a name. Will NEVER COME BACK. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME COMING HERE. 🚨🚨🚨

I have a problem when a restaurant offers something but then the employees say that they don't offer the item. If there is a sign that says steak and eggs and your website says steak and eggs then you provide what it offered. She said steak and eggs aren't until 4pm. Probably need to fix this because it caused a big issue with multiple customers including me. Employee did get agitated, which is another problem because she was dealing with the elderly. Other food though was typical for golden corral. Myself Probably won't be back.

We eat here once in awhile but today wasn't the best - misty of the food we had was like warm but definitely not hot. We got some cookies from the dessert bar and they hadn't been cooked long enough. They're promoting something using blue icee and that option wasn't available today - out of stock. Our server was excellent. We'll try another time and hope for a better food experience.

Wow what a big change for the better! Usually service is fair and door is slow especially on a Sunday morning. But our server Serenity was great very fast food was prompt. Wife’s eggs were done correctly and didn’t have to use a napkin to soak up excess grease on them. My omelette was very good would definitely order it again. Coffee was great so were the refills.

Breakfast potatoes both shredded and home fries were very bland. Biscuits and gravy was alright, it hit the spot. I've had better than here. The eggs were not seasoned as well. The pancakes were dense almost looked like bread. The waitress Crystal was the best part of this place, very friendly and grabbing us anything we needed.

Love this place! Food is made fresh so the wait can add up but for me it was well worth it. Staff was attentive checking on us often. I got the pot pie which was hot a fresh full of chicken for every bite. Again the wait might take a minute but the attitude of staff and quality of food made it a worth while wait.

Karen our waitress was absolutely the nicest ever. Everything a waitress should be. The food was amazing. I asked for some changes to my meal and they had no issues accommodating. We also had the pancakes, they were huge and fluffy. If you have room, definitely grab a piece of the Strawberry pie to top everything off. I will definitely be back.

Hi Bob Evans! I went in here for my daughter Bella and Son Caleb's Day Here on Saturday and Got Breakfast. The Waffles, Eggs, and Sausages were so good. Thank you So Much Bob Evans. Your The Best!! ❤️

Got the Classic breakfast, with scrambled eggs, sausage links, biscuits, and coffee. Server was really good and professional. However, the food, not so good. The scrambled eggs were more like an empty omelet. Not scrambled and fluffy, but flat and greasy. So greasy, I could only eat a couple of bites. The sausage links were Luke warm. Not at all appetizing. Biscuits were good, as was the coffee. Used to love Bob Evans, but the last couple of times I have eaten here, I have been disappointed. Probably my last trip in here. Food quality has really went down. Manager did remove the food from the bill, and I paid for coffee.

I am a vegetarian and as there aren't any meat substitute options, I asked for potatoes instead of neat with my order. Our server, who was wonderful by the way, returned to the table and informed us that I could not swap meat for potato, which is petty for one, and funny because potatoes are more cost effective for the establishment. I will not be back to a Bob Evans again.

We ordered takeout. At pickup, we asked to make sure that there were silverware packs in the bag. She rolled her eyes and assured us that they were "in the bag, Sir!" In fact, they were not in the bag at all. We drive over the road and had left before realizing. 🤬

It was 2018 we ate at our local Steak and Shake because the service was terrible...a hour an half just to get and eat our food. After I saw a story where the CEO stated he was going to put American flags at every store, we decided to go try them out. WOW!!! What a pleasant and tasty surprise. We will definitely be going back. Also, a call out for the beef tallow fries!!

Clean store and food was well prepared and delicious. The cost has increased and the dine in experience is nothing to brag about. Steak n Shake is losing its draw. Cooking area looks well maintained and Frisco burger, Cheese fries and the Shakes will always be what keeps me coming. Great work to the cook

We ordered our food and shakes on the kiosks, which are the only way to order in the Elizabethtown, KY location. In the end we paid for all extras and when we got our order all we were told is the have no toppings, cherries or cookies but did not even offer any reimbursement. Pretty sad to handle a business like that.

Giving off mall food court vibes. Employees are rude cold and unhelpful. This is a hollow shell of what it once was. Everything that made steak and shake what it was is gone. Food prices are doubled. No service at ALL. Was looked at like I was stupid when I asked if I seat myself or wait. This is no longer the resteraunt i grew up loving. Had not been since 2019...... and will not ever be going back. The fries were old and stale. But the steakburger was delicious. One positive is that It didn't take 2 hours to make our shake.

My son and I went in for lunch today and ordered 2 meals then her ordered a shake separately, right after I ordered the food. Our food came out quickly and was good, but we never got our shake. We continued eating and figured it woukd come out shortly. But it never came out, 20 mins later when we asked the manager about it she said it was coming right up. Still had to ask several times before someone made it. Once made it was out in someone else's to go order and the manager had to take it out if that order and hand it to us. So 25 mins after ordering the shake we got it and with just a oh sorry about that...

I visited the Elizabethtown, KY Steak ‘n Shake on Sunday, September 28 around 5 PM. I waited an excessive amount of time in drive thru. I ordered the Orange Dreamsicle Freeze. It was very runny and tasted so bad, I returned it immediately and asked for a vanilla shake instead. I waited an additional 5 minutes, I paid for the vanilla shake, with no refund offered. The vanilla shake was so runny, just flavored milk. The staff seemed overwhelmed and uninterested. This was really disappointing, paying over $10. for that. I won’t be coming back to this location.

Los Nopales Mexican Restaurant is a vibrant and laid-back spot that truly captures the essence of authentic Mexican cuisine. With an extensive menu featuring beloved dishes and refreshing margaritas, it’s a must-visit for anyone craving flavorful fare. Diners rave about the speedy service, with friendly staff who are eager to accommodate special requests—whether it's swapping out ingredients or customizing your meal. The atmosphere is lively, often filled with locals enjoying their meals, which speaks volumes about the quality of food served here.
The service was a bit slow at times, but the food and atmosphere more than made up the difference. The salsa had a nice flavor, especially when the spicy heat hots the back of your tongue. The queso was creamy and had the right amount of heat from chiles. The tortilla chips were crispy and light with the right amount of salt. My wife couldn't stop telling me how delicious her Fiesta Quesadilla was. The Carnitas I had was absolutely delicious. Tender marinated pork with grilled onions and topped with their homemade queso made this the perfect lunch on a cold, late winter day.

I love the food just as much as I love the new decor. Soft leather and natural dark hardwood. It's a nice break. The food is just as lovely. They went a step further with the chips and salsa. Gave us both mild and hot. The fajitas came out sizzling with a nice char that added a great flavor profile.

Really good genuine food here. Definitely would go back. I got a shrimp fajita rice dish that had cheese on it and it was delicious. My son had the basic beef tacos and he devoured them. Service was fast and waiter checked on us frequently. Of note: The dining area was full of about 20 Mexican guys and gals that had just got off work and that shows me the food is genuine and good quality. I always prefer and trust ethnic food restaurants when the same population chooses to eat there.

The service here is so fast! Try the guacamole. The fajitas are delicious too. And right across the street from the electric charger at the Ford dealership. Beautiful patio too.

Very picky when I order. I’m that customer that likes to make changes to a dish that is offered; whether it’s substituting with a different type of meat and/or add cheese, etc. They had a seafood burrito covered in cheese that I wanted to substitute the burrito for a chimichanga. I failed to communicate what I wanted to the first waitress but then another came right over and helped out to finish the order. The food was very good. Everyone was friendly, helpful and the food came out unexpectedly fast. The alcoholic drinks were made (strength and size) perfectly. Definitely exceeded my expectations all around and I can’t wait to go back because the menu was huge!!!

I visited two consecutive days for lunch. Ordered the same thing each time. While the meat was well-seasoned, the entree was not quite what I envision as far as what a quesadilla is. Also, because of the language barrier, I never quite got exactly what I ordered either time.
A. G — Google review
I recently visited Los Nolales and ordered the shrimp fajita quesadilla. Unfortunately, it was disappointing. The shrimp lacked flavor and seemed unseasoned, it really should be marinated and stir-fried with onions, garlic, and proper seasoning to bring out the richness of the dish. It was quite bland overall. Adding ingredients like mushrooms would also elevate the taste. Hoping the kitchen takes these suggestions into consideration.

Ah man. So good. 1) service was AWESOME. Drinks were always full, waiter was attentive. 2) food was good. Flour tortillas weren’t homemade, but they didn’t taste store bought. We had the Taco Carbon & Fajita Tacos w/rice and beans. 3) try the cheese dip. It’s the good stuff!

SWEET TOOTH SATISFIED!! I just wanna start by saying thank you so so much for making me feel right at home as if I was sitting in my own kitchen rather than a diner. I had the pleasure of meeting Andrew, and his personality alone lights up the entire room. I’m usually very introverted but he managed to bring that out of me. His customer service was top tier, made me feel special like I was an actual human not just another customer. And don’t get me started on the food!!! I requested my favorite crepes that was no longer on the menu, and he went out of his way to make them for me anyway also adding his own little touch to it making it that much better! By far the best crepes I’ve ever ate. Not to mention the cheesecake pancakes! They just melt in your mouth. Also, the presentation of the food was absolutely gorgeous! I’m a very visual person, so the fact it looked as good as it taste! Is a win! I’m usually not a huge breakfast fan, but he’s made me love it again! This establishment is truly lucky to have someone of his performance level.. He should be a chef! We will be coming back just to see him! Thank you again for making my night one I won’t forget! Excited to come back! Wow!

Several of the staff were really pleasant and helpful. Our server was determined to be acknowledged. Not that we were trying to ignore her, but if she didn't hear our answer or didn't feel it was enthusiastic enough, she would repeat herself. She asked us what we wanted to drink and I asked what they had, and she just pointed at the menu in front of me as opposed to answering. All of her behavior was just very off-putting. The food was only okay... and then I found a hair in it. The waitress didn't really ask what was wrong with it just started to take the plate away and when I told her, she took the fork and started picking through the food to find it. They did end up compensating us for the meal.

When I first walked in every table was disgusting. They were full of dirty dishes, and there was literally no customers in the store. There is no excuse for it to be that dirty and no one’s in there. The bathroom smelled like body odor, and were nasty. The server was really nice but the food was nasty! I had to leave a star on atmosphere and food but if it was up to me I wouldn’t have left any! It was $20 for 1 omelette meal with pancakes which is ridiculous!

The food was delicious, the server was great, but the wait time for the food was too long considering it was pretty empty at 2 p.m. or so. Also would have been nice not wait to be seated so long and while the staff took their time and finished their personal conversation. I would think a customer waiting to be seated would take precedence, but apparently not. Recommend taking better care of customers upon arriving.

Sat our table of 8 on a Saturday morning with no hesitation. Our waitress was amazing. Attentive and on point, didn't even have to ask who's food was who's when she brought it to the table. Food was way better than I expected. If I lived in the area, I'd eat there all the time

Went to IHOP thinking we’d enjoy breakfast for dinner—turns out we were the only people in the whole restaurant. Asked for a high chair for our 10 month old. They smiled, nodded, sat us at our table and… brought a booster seat. Our son can’t sit in a booster seat yet, so we left. I guess IHOP’s idea of “family-friendly” is really just “let’s see how fast they can make a family leave.” 0/5 for seating, 5/5 for efficiency.

Usually I love this cute cafe however on this visit the experience was not so great. The staff was unfamiliar with the menu and I had to correct my order twice. Once the food arrived it was cold yet terribly overcooked. The bacon was burnt and over medium eggs were well done to the point of being hard and rubbery. Menu stated biscuits and gravy or hash browns came with meal yet none were served and toast was served even after I stated no toast. Staff member came to table and apologized stating everyone was new, however, no corrections were made to food or any discount offered. On another note our waitress was very pleasant and we enjoyed tasty hot coffee.

Nice decor. Can't really say much else good about it. The service was slow, and the food disappointing. I had a "ranch burger with onion tanglers" and potato salad, and my partner had a ham + cheese omelet and soup. It took them 30 minutes to make hers and 45 to make mine. Hers was brought out first, and she was done eating before mine was out. I had to ask for it to go, because we wanted to get back on the road. The eggs were okay, but the soup was lukewarm. My burger was disappointing -- like a school lunch burger, and there were no onion tanglers (or any other sort of onions) on it. The potato salad was okay though.
Chris S — Google review
I used to hate this place. The wait staff was horrible and the food was always burned or not what I ordered. No clue how since I was usually the only person. However, I recently decided to try them out again. I found waitresses that were friendly, a cook that knew what he was doing, and everything was cleaner. Though I only give four stars because, with the equipment they have, there could be more variety on the coffee front. As a college kid I run off caffiene and sugar most days. And the dilapidation of the building it's self is sad. It appears at first glance the owner doesn't care very much.

A cute little cafe with quite a few menu options. The grilled cheese was delicious! The chef was friendly and came to our table to personally recommend a dessert option. We orgered mini cheesecakes and a plate of warm banana bread artfully arranged on the plate.

Went in to have breakfast on a weekend and the two employees were outside in the back seated at a table. I waited a while at the counter inside and finally someone came in. I ordered a latte and an omelet plate. The latte was pretty good but the omelet was flat and no toast was served which was what I ordered by the picture on the menu. The barista complained the whole time about not sleeping the night before and wanted to go sleep in his truck. Both employees were very slow and almost like dazed. I expected more energy and quality food for the price I paid. Will not go back. Don't know what happened to this landmark restaurant but something needs to happen fast to be able to attract patrons. So sad to think visitors to our area will stop by to see it as they are still listed as a place to see when in our area.
Barbara B — Google review
Terrible. Ordered a BLT and it came out with no lettuce. When I asked for it they said they ran out. Ok? So walking out to my table to see if this was a problem wasn't an idea? The toast was cold, and stale, the bacon cold, burnt and old and just yuck. The potato salad was obviously store bought. It was empty when we walked in, yet every single table was dirty. The menus were dirty and the bathroom had fecal matter on the toilet. The health department review gave it a 91...obviously the inspector was being generous. I won't be back. Ever. Ever ever ever.
Rosemary S — Google review
When we visited, we were 2 of the 7 people in the cafe. 5 orders were incorrect! Grilled pimento cheese sandwich was cold. Sides that come with the order never served, even after inquiring repeatedly. Charged for entire order by waitress who served us. Other tables had same problem! First and last visit!

We haven’t been to a Waffle House in years and decided it was time to give it a go. For a Waffle House, we were pleasantly surprised. Our server was very attentive and checked on us numerous times. Food was good and prepared to our specifications. If you’re in the mood for a quick breakfast you won’t be disappointed coming here.

First return to Waffle House in many years (because they stopped expanding north at the Ohio border!). Great service. We asked if they had hot sauce packets or anything to go. Our waitress offered to give us an almost empty bottle of hot sauce. A regional manger looking guy held the door open for us when we arrived. Just the difference between places like Waffle House and some other fast food places. Fun watching the cooks work. I appreciate the assembly line optimization of the work. There's no wasted movement. Good comfort food. The plates fill up the table! Only thing is I remember the menu being bigger 25 years ago 🤷‍♂️

Crowed. Homeless man asked me to buy him breakfast. The district manager was there and did nothing about the situation. Good is over priced for what you get. Wait time was acceptable and service OK. It will be a long time before I rush back to a Waffle House.

I hope our waiter was new because he was super slow and inattentive. The waffle was undersized and I watched as the cook made several more that way. There was also a health department issue that I discovered after I sat down. The air conditioner was dripping on my head. When I reacted to being hit on my head by a drop of water the waiter was unsurprised and said it's an ongoing problem. So, look forward to possible fungal infections...

Maybe we went on an off night but the restaurant was kind of dirty, there were no plates and then when we did get some plates they still had food on them and were dirty. The pizza was just okay, didn’t really care for it personally but the salad bar was good. The pasta sauce and noodles were good as well. I did end up feeling sick after eating from the salad bar though. Some of the games were down in the arcade and it wasn’t really worth it.

I took my grand kids today for lunch and games. We got there at 12;30 there was only a few pizzas out. There was no cheese at all for the kids. We arrived a few minutes after 11 (opening) on a Thursday for lunch. There were several pizzas available on the buffet, as well as a stocked salad bar, and two kinds of pasta. However, within 30-45 minutes it became fairly busy and the staff seemed to struggle keeping enough pizza on the buffet (even though not every table was filled). The teens with us had to wait a few times for pizza to come out and had to wait on more spaghetti as well. Mike was the person bussing the tables and he did an excellent job even though he seemed a bit overwhelmed with lack of any other help covering the dining area. Several in our group were complimentary of the pizza that was available and everyone loved the smores pizza for dessert. The younger enjoyed playing a few games in the arcade area after we ate.

Stopped at Deez Butts wanting some brisket. Ordered the brisket plate with greens and cabbage and polish sausage. The brisket was came in larger cubes and were a little dry as if they had been reheated and/or had been cut up earlier and left under a warmer. There were only two thin slices of sausage in with the cabbage. I definitely would return.

What started off as a good start to our meal sadly did not end that way. The Beer Pretzel with Beer Cheese was delicious. A pretzel with a crispy exterior ropped with salt and a soft pillowy center made this the perfect way to start our meal. Then the Big Tex burger arrived, which was topped with a Texas Twinkie. This was a jalapeño pepper stuffed with brisket and cream cheese and then wrapped in bacon. Divine. After that, the meal wasn't close to being delicious. The drink orders were mixed up. my wife ordered all of the toppings for her homemade chips meal, but none of the toppings were in the meal and plate, my meal was misding the fries I ordered and some of the brisket had grizzle. My son's Mac Bowl with Chicken wasn't good at all. The macaroni was wet and had barely any cheese on it. The corn cakes, included with the Mac Bowl meal was okay. A nice crispy exterior, but they were greasy. This was very unfortunate but could have been avoided.

Absolutely phenomenal BBQ joint! Despite its cozy size, this place packs a flavorful punch! The BBQ sauce? Spicy perfection with a delightful kick! Waffle fries? Hot and crispy every time! And let's talk about the meat - moist, tender, and downright delicious! Whether you're a BBQ aficionado or just craving some good eats, this spot is an absolute gem. 5 stars without a doubt!
Chris L — Google review
We ordered 2 pork sandwiches, one with waffle fries and the other Mac n cheese. Also, an order of fried pickles. The fried pickles were the best part of the meal. The Mac n cheese was OK. My wife said the fries were "just OK and like the the ones from the bottom of the bag." What should've been the star of the show was the pork. It was not. Have you ever cooked a roast on Sunday and then on Tuesday decided you wanted to make a sandwich out of the leftovers? The meat is brittle and dry, right? That's what this was like. Dried out. It's really hard to say what the meat tasted like because you had to smother it on sauce to make it edible. (The sauce is pretty good.) That's not good barbecue. We are here on vacation for 10 days, today being the last full day, and this was by far the worst meal we've had on the trip. Maybe, if you are lucky, and you are there when the meat is fresh (whatever day that is), then it may be great. If not, then avoid it. There has to be better out there than this.

Absolutely love the hole in the whole vibe small town bbq joint feeling! That's how you know the foods good in my opinion 🤤 i tried the build a spud with melt in your mouth brisket on top drizzled with Deez Butt's Hot Sauce ( which is made in house) 😋 Service was fast & friendly from the meet and greet walk in to being seated & ordering!! Definitely a hidden gem 💎 to check out if you haven't! Will definitely be back to try more 😊

Customer service always a 10! Food great! The only place I’ve eaten at in the area so far best ceviche.. most places will rip you off by adding shrimp to pico de gallo but not here they serve you ceviche👍🏾. Drinks amazing‼️SALSA AND CHIPS AMAZING🖤

Stopped by at this restaurant for a lunch. Food was okie. For somehow couple of staff weren’t in a great mood but eventually that improved by the time we completed the lunch. Good quality was okie, Tooo blend food. Ambience was okie. They did have some weired facial expressions when vegetarian food was requested and were in total denial upon asking for what are the ingredients of certain dishes! When ordered. Smoke free. Free parking.

Waitress seemed to be preoccupied and didn't really have time to check if we needed refills or I had requested light jalapeños on my dinner. She said fine. I actually think shd had them add more. Super hot! We had ordered hot wings for an appetizer, they seemed like they were frozen and just heated up. Not good at all. Forgot the pictures

I normally don't give 5 stars unless it's really deserved . It's really hard to get a 5 star out of me . I'm very picky . I've been here couple times before giving a review to see if it's the same each time . Food is amazing ! Service is always great ! Staff is friendly ! Place is always clean ! What an incredible experience! Our baseball team and their families ate here while playing at Etown Sports Park. They accommodated a group of 45 with ease. The food was incredible, service was flawless. We will FOR SURE be back when we play here again!

Service is terrible. Waiter tossed our menus and silverware on the table and walked off. Food was terrible. Charged dinner price during lunch time. Do not recommend at all. Chips and salad were ok. Save your money and go elsewhere.

I only put one star for food because my daughter’s food was cold but she’s 1 so it didn’t matter as much as it would if she was a little older. Mine and my husbands meals were both delicious. Our server was very friendly and attentive, never had an empty drink. Definitely recommend

We have eaten here 1-3 times monthly for years. Familiar staff knows us well. There was no alcohol in our full-price Margaritas today. Did not bother to protest. Will not go back.

Our (2) visit was 14 May 2023 during the start of a business trip. Our dishes were Molcajete and Especial Degollado minus the shrimp because of food allergies. It was Mother’s Day and it looked like the guys were trying to navigate with possibility of women being off. One or two staff were helpful and busy. Place is nicely decorated and festive. Whomever has done all that beautiful carving and painting did an outstanding job on the tables & seats. Food was a different taste which the cheese used and that was a pleasure for me. We both enjoyed our food, although my guess said there was a lot of onions in hers. Overall, we enjoyed our Mother’s Day out of time and would stop back.

Extensive menu. Excellent top notch service. Very clean establishment. Tea, chips, salsa, queso & corn nuggets were amazing. Dinner items, not so great. Tamale was super dry like it had been thrown in the microwave. Steak chimichanga also was terribly dry like the steak tasted old and dry…. Like old left overs.

I like the decor. Service was ok. Food was really good. Tortillas tasted hand made. Salsa fresh and fragrant. Had to wait to pay since you can only pay at front desk.

This charming eatery offers an extensive menu featuring everything from savory lo mein to mouthwatering Hunan beef, perfect for dine-in, takeout, or delivery. The friendly staff ensures that your order is handled with care and efficiency—whether you choose to pick up your meal or have it delivered right to your door.
I'm vegetarian. They had good vegetarian options. Wife and I bought food for 2 days for $30. Probably 2.5 meals. It's nothing fancy but it taste good. For the price know what you're ordering. This was awesome. The staff was friendly. The food was good. I loved how the tofu was fried. They support military which was nice too. We're new to the area and this has definitely landed on the rotation of places to eat regularly.

I had the Sesame Chicken with white rice, the portion was good, sauce was tasty but the chicken itself was a bit tough. The service was efficient but not what I'd call friendly. As for the atmosphere it seemed very much like everyone just wanted to get in and out as quickly as possible. Since there is room for improvement across the board I gave 4 stars, I will give Double Dragoon another try and will update my review at that time.

Don't go there alot because of the huge crowds on Sunday...Football! Today was amazing! Tay was phenomenal!! I haven't had a great server like her in a very long time! She asked what game we wanted and put it right there in front of us. Previous times its not been well but today made up for it. Tay is definitely the best!

Ordered 15 traditional wings and a bacon melt with mild, curry and wild sauces. The curry had a great flavor and the wild was not hot enough for me. The wings were not breaded and just fried with sauce just the way I like them.. The fries came to the table cold the melt was tasty. I wish i pt some hot sauce on it. Services was good, he was alway paying attention of we needed something. We will be back.

I usually like Buffalo Wild Wings and consider myself a repeat customer. However, our most recent experience was a complete disappointment and may have convinced us to never return. Our wings from our last visit were tiny, overcooked and dry. Not the quality we’ve been accustomed to from multiple Buffalo Wild Wings locations. If this is their new standard, I’ll stay away. If this is your first time coming to this location, proceed with caution.
Jeff — Google review
The last time I went was November 5th and it was the worse experience I ever had my food was cold I don’t even think they had the right favor on my wings because they was a little heat which sweet BBQ shouldn’t been no heat, they seated us where no one else was so the server we had wasn’t her section so she wasn’t around much but she did good, half the crew kept going in and out the side door which we was seated right in front of so the cold air would come in on us which made my food even more cold I’m not the one to complain because I work in a restaurant myself so I didn’t send food back I just took it has a L but also heard 2 employees whole conversation while they was just sitting there at a table like customers which I should’ve never heard any of it no customer should. I wouldn’t even made a post but this wasn’t the first time that the food was cold 2nd time now.

I thought food was amazing though my daughter thought her fries were peppery. Service was great. Waitress was amazing except she appeared to be the only one serving at the time and was extremely busy which was very difficult for her. Restaurant was extremely clean, bathrooms were excellent. Upon entering, entire place smelled wonderful and welcoming!!

Stopped by with a friend because we were curious about their "bottomless appetizers" deal. We got chips and queso and fried pickles to start and then ordered our food. I figured since it was a cheap deal they just had a bunch of food under the heat lamp in the back and would slap some 3 hour old food on a tray. NOPE! Everything was obviously made hot and fresh. Our server Alex was incredibly friendly and attentive and our food was all delicious. We got a sandwich, wings, and 4 appetizers and it was under 40 bucks. Great deal, great food, great service

First time visiting and LOVED it!! Place was clean, staff wonderful and attentive and food plentiful. The food was great, ate on a Saturday night and came in right at switchover for dinner menu. Tried multiple foods and there wasn’t a bad one in the bunch. Definitely recommend and will be back. Price was right too

A friend and I went and got lunch and was kind of disappointed because they didn't have many choices or varieties of food options.I didn't think the food was good at all except the fried zucchini. The vegetable egg roll was disgusting, nothing but oil. I'm never going back it sucked so much. So good luck to those who go. I can't even say what I'd recommend, because it would be nothing, well the cookie was ok.

So far this is the best tasting Chinese buffet in Etown. Each different dish tastes different and cooked well not sloppy or soft. The chili oil was actually spicy with a good flavor which its very hard to find. Staff very nice and fast movers they definitely deserve a tip. The lady behind the desk had a super cute outfit on lone sleeve red sweater pushed up her arms. The brown belt tied around her waist tied in well with her assomble. Very cute

We went in for the first time tonight for the dinner at 7:00, there was plenty of food and they were putting more out as we ate. The food was good the orange chicken is one of the best I have had around here. It’s a nice place and clean.
Maria G — Google review
Food was awful. I get that it’s a Buffett, so I’m aware things are cooked in mass and sit over heat for a while. This doesn’t excuse the quality of food we received when going. Buffets are not our normal craving… but like most there is a time here and there where it sounds appealing. Not anymore with this place. The service was outstanding though. Very nice people trying to make a living. Hard rating but honest.
Cameron B — Google review
First time I'd ever been there first impressions when I walked in the place look dirty. Went up to the buffet every other bin empty . And what I did try it tasted like it had been in the refrigerator for 2 weeks crab ragon dry inside . Didn't have very much of a selection what they did have over by the desserts there's bananas with drizzle strawberrie sauce I paid $60 for three people I will never willgo back there one of the worst buffets I've ever seen and I've been in buffets. Nasty

Came in for a last minute dinner with my son. Was greeted by the cashier and ended up having a great interaction with additional staff while ordering and waiting for our food. The manager was extremely hospitable and the staff all looked and sounded like they enjoyed not only working there but with one another. They were funny, and playing with one another while balancing hard work ethics. It felt like I was having dinner with a room full of friends at a gathering. The food was quickly prepared, hot and made correctly. We honestly got in and out rather fast even with all the extra interactions. My son left full and happy. As well as requesting to go back for dinner there more often. Thanks ETown Fazoli’s!

Subway is a casual counter-service chain that specializes in customizable sandwiches and salads, catering to health-conscious diners. This beloved spot offers an array of options, including the iconic meatball sub, which features perfectly rolled meatballs nestled in fresh bread. For those looking for a unique experience, there's even private seating available for shy eaters! The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, with friendly staff who are eager to ensure your order is just right.
Didn’t go inside so I can’t speak on the place itself and stuff but damn. The footlong oreo cookie is amazing. Also got this wrap thing but it tasted a little weird but the cookie was all i could think about. 🫣
Prae J — Google review
I asked for a footlong flatbread and they folded it the wrong way. When I asked for more meat because they did it wrong they said oh that's just the way we do it. The meat station is hidden so I couldn't see what they were doing either. I asked again at the register why I am being charged for a footlong when it is only six inches due to being folded the wrong way. The guy said there is nothing he can do about just pay your bill and move along. So glad I don't near live here but just traveling through. Be warned you have to be overly specific if you want anything. The lady in front of us asked for a chicken salad and they misunderstood her as well. Please educate your employees. No shame in not knowing something until you've learned it but please be willing to learn.
Douglas S — Google review
It was Subway, so it wasn’t expected to be anything great. I do believe they could’ve put more than just a couple of sorry pieces of meat on my child’s sandwich, though. Also, I’m not sure how they expect customers to wash their hands without any supplies in the restroom—employees, either, for that matter. And I almost forgot: I’m not a contractor or the health department, but they should probably do something about the mold between the wall and the wallpaper. Pretty sure mold isn’t supposed to be there. That is all.
Jereme S — Google review
Wildest experience at a Subway. Went through the driveway and ordered 2 6 inch subs. She bizarrely continued to jump back and forth between the sandwiches and I had to repeat both orders 7 times each. Both were wrong when we finally got them. I'll never go through a drive thru Subway ever again. Maybe she needed more training...a lot more.
Jean K — Google review
Highly recommend this little mom & pop local business making sandwiches in elongated form off the side of the highway. The meatball sub is where they roll up meat into balls and put them on a sub. If they microwave the bread after, it becomes authentic Italian food. There’s private seating in the restrooms if you’re a shy eater or prefer a built in napkin dispenser. Try the fountain water! It’s super crisp and full of healthy fluoride. You can taste the Kentucky cave systems (thanks limestone!!!)

Fun atmosphere, sandwich artists were true masters. My veggie sandwich was so delightful. Picnic tables outside were a nice break out of the car while we charged at the charging stations.

**Update** I just came back thru and the you g man in drive thru was so great! Thank you all for fixing my order and being so friendly and fast. The young lady in the drive-through was very friendly and nice she was genuine and that is a rare quality to come by. Unfortunately I hate to say that they got my order wrong and missed an integral part of my order. so I have to go back and get that fixed, but they were really good about fixing it. They also have a Tesla supercharger station there with about 10 days in it so that's great and convenient for those who own Tesla's that are either passing through or away from where they regularly charge their Tesla's at.
Schawn N — Google review
I hadn't been to a Subway in a long time, but was hitting the road traveling and needed lunch. This one was convenient near the freeway. The service was very slow, seemed like only one person worked there, not sure. I had even specifically ordered a chicken salad sandwich with no customization to minimize my waiting time. But the worst part was how shocked I was at the price of only one small sandwich, no chips or drink, for a fast food drive through place!! $15.11! To me that price is more what I've paid at a sitdown restaurant.
